Betches Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
Who's going to check me, though?
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer, and today I am joined in the studio by a friend of mine, a returning guest.
You know her.
You've heard her before.
Sarah Galley.
Hello, welcome back.
Oh, my God.
A pleasure, a thrill to be here after a history, a day that will live on forever.
Our friend Louis Pitesman referred to it as Bravo's Red Wedding.
Which I told him I know.
I was like, I know that because of Wikipedia.
I didn't make it that far in Game of Thrones either.
I never watched an episode.
Yeah, it was crazy, right?
Speaking of, before we dive into like literally half a dozen stories that could be, you know,
a whole conversation on their own, I saw a tweet this morning from Ben Mandelker, one of the hosts of Watch What Happens.
This blew my mind more than anything that happened Monday.
this week. Kristen Doty is now
the age that Kyle Richards was when Real House
wives of Beverly Hills started.
You know what's wild? Is Kristen
Doty Ashley Darby's probably not
as old as Kristen Doty is? And Ashley Darby's
been on Potomac for eight seasons.
Because she started
in her 20s. She was like 29.
So she's older obviously than I am
biologically because that's how math
works. As we know.
There are a few like
Bravo age things that just
feel wrong even though they're
absolutely right. Like, I'll always remember when it was a thing for people to comment that
Teddy Mellencamp is younger than Jacks Taylor. The way that my eyes just glazed over at any
kind of mention of Teddy Mellencamp. I think, I think that's true. Don't, don't give me like a
one-star review if I'm off by a year. Ashley's only 35. Boom, told you. And Kristen's like 41.
We've just seen Ashley for forever. And also, I think that there's just a expectation that housewives are
going to be older than stars of Vanderpump Rules and Summerhouse. And it's just not the case.
Right. It is funny that like Southern Charm, Summer House, Vanderpump Rules have all been on the air for like
eight plus years now. And we still think of them as like young adult shows.
100%. It's like half of these people are in their 40s.
Which is very young. Anything younger than 80 is youth energy. And I won't hear anything else about it.
So, you know, Kristen Doty, God bless.
We're not going to talk about the Valley today because we have other stuff to get to.
So Monday of this week, this is coming out on Wednesday.
So it's two days ago in podcast time, but yesterday.
I talked about, I sat down to record and I was like, you guys, the craziest thing just happened.
There's already been so much stuff.
Robbins leaving.
And now Todd is filing for divorce from Alexia.
Literally, Candace announced that she was pregnant while I was recording.
And then a few hours later, Crystal, leaving Beverly Hills after three seasons, she posted a video speaking to the camera.
Lots of feelings about that.
And then also, congratulations, Jen Padranti.
The most ran.
Of all of the announcements, absolutely the most ran.
I had to remember who they were for a second.
And I'm obsessed with Orange County.
But I was like, how are you involved in the cycle of violence?
that's been being a content creator on Monday.
It's funny because at first, like when Todd and Alexia's divorce news came out,
which Alexia did respond to with an Instagram story saying she was shocked and heartbroken
by Todd's decision to end their marriage, so I'm like, girl, get the cameras to Miami.
But Jen and Ryan, I'm like, that really is the casualty of the day of just like,
congrats, I guess.
They're at least filming right now.
I wonder if cameras were there because they had professional.
photography of the engagement.
Yeah, the fact that they did it in the Bahamas.
Bahamas makes me think that it maybe wasn't filmed for the show because that wasn't a cast trip.
So I don't know that they would send like a whole crew.
Tamara and Eddie.
But that's Tamara.
I know that's true.
We're talking about,
apologies to Jen.
We're talking about Jen Padrante and Ryan, whatever his last name is.
Gene Jacket, Ryan Jean Jacket.
Ryan Jean Jacket.
But it is funny because out of all the things that happened yesterday, I'm like, this is something that we are going to see on the show and it's going to be entertaining.
Yeah.
I mean, I did an emergency triage, Andy's Girls, which went up today of just going through just the emotions of processing all of the day's news plus also what the day's news means for all of us.
And in reading about their engagement, I was fascinated by the fact that he asked Jen's parents and her brother.
others for permission before he proposed, which means, obviously, spoiler alert, he now knows
how to use his phone, which is an exciting development.
I don't think he sent a single dick to her mom and dad.
And that's a huge improvement in the growth of their relationship.
You don't think he asked for her hand in marriage over Snapchat?
I think that's his internet went out.
And he's like, I guess the beach will do.
Like, hey, smiley face emoji.
Can I ask you a question?
How do we feel about Ryan?
Like, is he one of those kinds of guys who's just like an idiot but harmless?
Or do we think he's actively harmful, like toxic as a partner?
From what I remember, which like, look, he's been on one season of housewives.
A lot has happened since then.
I didn't get like actual nefarious vibes from him.
I got kind of like maybe fuckboy definitely idiot in a loving way.
like, you know, said with love.
But like, I don't, I don't think he's going to, like, ruin Jen's life.
I don't know if they'll be together forever, but.
I mean, he is going to cheat on her, right?
Because that's his thing.
Like, you want a partner who's consistent in a relationship,
but his consistency is he's cheated on every single person.
He's ever dated or, I guess, married or whatever, except for,
she's the exception to the role, which all women know works out so well in the end
when we can change our partner.
Look, at least we can say that she,
is aware of the
She's aware of the past
She's aware of the past
That's accurate
But also is she even fully divorced yet
Like her husband was still like
Very much in the picture
Is she from Oklahoma?
Oklahoma
And he was working for her family
And the family sort of picked him over her
Which has to be a great feeling
I really really like Jen
I thought she was great
My only concern for her when it comes to just like franchise
specific attention is that I do have a terrible feeling that John Jansen is going to propose
to Alexis in front of Shannon at like their finale. I just feel it in my bones. It's going to happen.
It's going to happen on camera. And I just, it just terrifies me for my poor, you know, I hashtag
stand for Shan. I'm just so concerned for Shan. I hope that Alexis.
Be careful. I hope that Alexis. Jim Bolino is listening. I, I'm glad that Alexis has.
earned back some screen time.
Yeah.
I hope that she is thinking about her real life a little bit more than that to get engaged
to John Jansen.
Because Alexis had her heartbroken by this guy that she was dating like a year ago.
And so I'm like, let's do it for the cameras, have fun, get your screen time, but like don't
get engaged for another year.
It gives me a little like Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder energy.
of just someone not knowing
when the performance
should stay on camera versus
become IRL. It feels like she's
giving a method actor
but also comedy
version of what
true love looks like. I don't know that she
knows the difference anymore between
this is obviously
not real to like this is the
realest thing you will ever see.
Yeah, I'm really, I mean,
I am so excited for next season
of Orange County for
I mean, every reason. I can't wait. But like I am like super, super curious to see like what Alexis
Bellino's like actual energy on the show is because we've seen a lot on social media. We've like,
you know, gotten little like tidbits here and there. But we haven't like seen her on housewives in,
well, not in like a real capacity in a long time. I also think maybe this doesn't apply to everyone.
But I think a lot of us were really curious and optimistic about what.
her energy would be. It felt like she's grown a lot. She's changed. She's evolved. And so I was really
excited for her to come back. The John Jansen of it all took me really by surprise. And I feel like he's going
to ruin her a little bit, that she's going to be arrogant because she's dating him in a way that is
going to maybe help her very short term. But I don't think you can sustain, I don't think you can
sustain a return on this kind of energy. I think it could be really, really counterproductive for her.
Yeah, because I remember like when there was first kind of like rumblings that she was maybe going to be back in the mix, it was like, oh, she and Heather have like bonded over both having LGBTQ kids. And like she's come so far from when she was married to this like horrible guy. And it's like now it's like, okay, now she's like, you know, making out with John Jansen in front of Shannon.
Monsters. Monsters. Inc. We'll have we'll have more OC to talk about in the future.
So good. So good.
So good.

I want to talk about Crystal with you because this is something that, you know,
I talked a little bit about Miami.
I talked about Potomac earlier this week.
I haven't gotten to talk about Crystal yet.
And I am, I'm just, I'm really concerned about what's happening over in Beverly Hills right now.
I don't know what direction they're trying to go.
I don't know if we'll see more departures as they seemingly gear up to start filming next season.
But getting rid of Crystal at this point in time just feels like a really,
strange choice to me. And I'm curious, what was your reaction when you first heard the news?
Well, it was absolute shock, especially because I'm a Jeff Lewis Live listener, we're known as
Chumps. And she was on JLL last week and was talking about her plans for the upcoming season.
So when I saw the Daily Mail piece, I was like, oh, fuck, this has to be. I just instinctively knew
that it was real, but I was really, really shocked by it. And the concern that I have is like,
I don't know that Beverly Hills production is learning the lesson from Beverly Hills this season of like maybe building a show around Kyle isn't a good idea.
She needs some formidable foes.
You need someone to really go against her and cast members who are going to hold her accountable.
I say this is someone who has Kyle in my top five.
I love Kyle.
But I thought I thought her recent press of like calling her cast members inhumane for doing their jobs, which is 20% of what she's.
done to other cast members. I thought it was ridiculous. I'm confused about the Doreet situation.
I just feel like they need to have a counter. They need to have not an LVP type, but just someone of that
stature who can develop or at least someone who can do the job. Someone like Erica Jane in her
early years, honestly. And I don't think that, I mean, Anna Marie is a joke, so that doesn't count.
I don't think that getting rid of Crystal does anything. Yes. Versus.
looking at people who've been on the show for a while
and saying, are they the energy that we need right now?
Because Kyle has had the majority,
she's had the Fox Force for so many seasons.
Obviously, we have Garcell and Sutton,
but I'm just thinking, like,
what does removing Crystal do for the show?
I don't know that they have an answer to that.
I think I totally agree with you.
And I think that there are times when if a show has like a solidly functioning
core of people,
You can take away one or two and still essentially have a show that works without finding, you know, new people or trying new things.
I don't think that's what Beverly Hills has right now.
If you take away, you know, like you said, Anna Marie, we all, you know, assumed that she wasn't going to be back.
A literal joke.
You take away Crystal.
So you still have five people.
You have Erica, Derreet, Kyle, Garcell Sutton.
But based on the season we just watched, which was, spoiler alert, not.
excellent, I think, you know, from most people's perspective, taking away Crystal and not having
an alternate plan doesn't leave you with a promising season. I don't think that the five of them
really can pull it off on their own. So what you're doing by getting rid of Crystal is
creating a hole that you kind of need to fill. And looking at the history of Beverly Hills,
they have not successfully cast the last two seasons with new housewives.
We had Anna Marie and we had Diana the season before,
both of whom were the type of flop where at the reunion you assume they are not coming back.
And that is, you know, abject failure when it comes to housewives casting.
The last person that they cast before that was Crystal, who, you know, I think opinions differ.
I've seen a lot of like people who are like, were we watching the same show?
show, like she was so boring, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
You're entitled to your opinion.
But she was the last person they cast who stuck at all.
And then so you're taking that out of the equation.
And it's like whether or not you love Crystal, it's like their housewives casting is
difficult.
And I always question when a show multiple seasons in a row has not been able to find new people
that stick in the group.
Like, there's a challenge there.
There's something that they haven't been able to get.
right. They're not necessarily sure exactly what they need. And so the fact that they already were
struggling a little bit and then now they're getting rid of the last person that they cast that
sort of worked, it's like, okay, so do you have three more people that you're like really confident
about? Because if not, like, why are you taking away the things that are, you know, at least
working to some people on the show? Like it just is like, now we have this big question mark. And it's like,
okay, who's next? Is it Helaria Baldwin? I don't think that's real. Is it Bet Midler?
She tweeted that she wants to join the show
She wants to be paid
She wants to be paid
Bravo can't afford her
Are we kidding
It's like that's what I was
I mean
There was a time in Jersey
Where like they had tried a few seasons
A row after Jackie and Jen Aiden
Came in the show for like three seasons
None of the new people they brought around
Even got full time status
Until they cast last season
Rachel and
Danielle and Jen Fessler
And so I'm like
There might be new
people for Beverly Hills that turn out really great that are waiting in the wings. But also,
if they leave us with what we have right now and they cast another Diana Jenkins who flops,
next season is going to be like even tougher than this season was. Yeah. And who are they giving
more power to? We don't need another friend of Kyle. Kyle has so much power on camera, off camera.
We don't need to add to that. We know who Kyle is. If you love Kyle, you love Kyle. If you don't
love Kyle, you don't love Kyle. We don't need to armor her in the way that I feel like that might be
a direction that production is leaning in. And I think the issue with Crystal is that Crystal's
sort of storyline either given to her, defined about her or whatever, is that she's finding her
voice, I do think that's tough to have the storyline of like, I'm finding my voice after three seasons
on the show. Having said that, a big reason that she seems to be, again, again, this is kind of assigned
to her, quote unquote, finding her voice is because she said things in scenes that were cut out.
It was like there was a moment where she exploded, which was included, I think, in the season trailer,
which we never saw maybe in like a flashback, but certainly not fully. So it's like the argument that
she didn't have enough to do. Well, the whole thing with her brother and her mom was like so weird to me
because it was like production dropped it at the big midseason and she wasn't really a part of the show.
I don't even think she was in the first episode. If she was, it was sparingly. So I feel like the idea
that she was kind of fading from the show feels like a decision that production made that doesn't necessarily,
might necessarily be in line with the content that they received. And I think that,
the idea that this is a show that to a, you know, varying degree revolves around Kyle is,
it's not inherently a bad thing.
But if Kyle isn't bringing it in the way that we want her to or maybe need her to,
then adding more kind of like spokes on Kyle's wheel isn't going to lead to anything.
For as long as Kyle remains on the show, the show's going to be about Kyle.
I don't object to that.
but Kyle needs obstacles in front of her.
She's the longest, obviously by many, many seasons, the longest, she's an OG.
She's the longest serving Beverly Hills housewife on her franchise.
She's been there since the beginning.
She's accrued a lot of power and success.
She's dealing with some, you know, difficulties in her personal life.
We need to pull that out of her.
And we also need to, it's not even just about challenging her on the illusion or reality
of her marriage and her personal life.
It's like her actual role in the show.
She does the, she tries to LVP herself.
I've always said, I think as you have as well, that she's a strong beta.
The joke with Kyle is when people say like the crown belongs to her and she has alpha energy.
She doesn't.
And so we need someone else to come into the picture to make this a genuine challenge.
Yeah.
Can I also just shout out Anna Marie, who right after Crystal was announced on the Daily Mail posted on Instagram stories and said,
I don't care how good you play a victim that.
karma gun still tear your ass up, which I assume is something that every esophagus in the United
States of America was saying about Anna Marie's firing. So just shout out to Anna Marie for really
showing us how karma works. This woman has kind of like when you when you like are eating chips and
like one goes down the wrong pipe and it kind of tears up your esophagus. Yeah. And as someone who has,
I have choked on a veggie taco. I had to go to Lennox Hill because the chaco just stayed in my
throat and wouldn't come out. I just have a lot of sympathy. As someone who,
does forget to properly chew and also swallow.
It is so funny for Anna Marie to like pretend that this is a victory for her.
It's like, girl, we already forgot about you.
She's never met a victory in her life.
Look who she's married to.
8.5.
That Instagram story was 8.5 on a good day.
And 8.5 is a B.
That could be considered a victory.
Yeah, she's passing.
She has a passing grade on a lot of things in her life.
And good for her on that.
I hope she continues to thrive in the,
very special way that she seems to off camera.

So looking at the now current picture of Beverly Hills,
without Crystal, without Anna Marie, RIP.
May her memory not be a blessing.
Do you feel, like, in your bones, I, you know, we don't know these things.
Do you feel in your heart of hearts like there are more departures coming before this season?
Or do you think that they've like, they're like, no, no, no, Doreat's good, Erica's good.
We got this.
Here's what I'll say.
When it comes to Beverly Hills, I think I'm one of the like maybe few podcaster content creators
who genuinely liked last season.
Yeah.
So, yes, I think most people didn't.
I genuinely really did,
or at least, you know,
because I host a podcast about psychology
and the psychology behind Bravo
and other forms of TV,
I really genuinely had a lot to discuss.
Like I was really curious about it.
I had a lot to respond to.
Anna Marie was a trigger point.
I unpack that with a lot of people.
So it gave me something to talk about.
With Doreet, the only way,
there's two reasons.
Two ways for her to return in a L.L.
Full-time manner.
Number one, she really takes on Kyle.
And we talk about the text,
which I thought she had every right to show.
It's literally ridiculous and so manipulative
to send that to her after months of not speaking the night before the reunion
and think that your confidences are going to be respected.
Like, that's nuts to me.
So number one, we need to unpack the Kyle Durit shenanigan.
Number two, she has been on the show for how many seasons,
1800, seven seasons.
Someone who might be Camille or probably not needs to talk about her debt.
PK's debt, her debt, their financial difficulties.
That needs to be a framework of the season, not just an uncomfortable lunch.
If someone wants to take that on, God bless them.
They're probably going to be lit on fire.
But if they want to make that sacrifice for us, then okay.
Maybe we need, I don't know.
Adriana DeMora to come to Beverly Hills and be like, I heard that P.K.
and Dorrit are struggling.
But it can't be.
I mean, apologies to Adriana.
And we all love Faya.
And, you know, Miami's hot, hot, maybe you haven't heard.
But I think with Beverly Hills, we need someone who's not a joke.
We need it to be someone who maybe isn't so cloying where it doesn't feel like the response
is going to be, you're just doing this for camera, where it's the fight, the ultimate fight,
which is about what they're doing for the purposes of being on this show.
Yeah.
Someone needs to do it.
I couldn't agree more.
I think that there were a lot of people this past season where kind of like feels like
Doreet's time has run its course.
You know, we're not getting much from her.
And I think that the Kyle dynamic is really interesting because they've sort of like framed
themselves as these like sisters best friends, but like don't actually seem to be
that close or to love each other that much?
Like there clearly are a lot of underlying things there.
I think especially the way that Doreet sort of feels less valued by Kyle than say Morgan
Wade, that it's like let's talk about it.
Let's do that thing if we're going to do anything.
Like, come on.
Okay.
Speaking of Morgan.
Okay.
I do need to know just from you, save space.
Do you care about Morgan, about Morgan and Kyle's relationship?
Do you care to see that be unearthed or explored?
Well, we're talking about Carl.
Oh, my God.
I don't know.
I mean, I think I, to the extent that I would like Kyle to be a little bit more open and honest,
as she might say, about everything that's.
happening in her life, yes. But I also don't, I don't stay up at night thinking about like,
ooh, like, are they, are they like, what's the status? What's happening? Like, are they sharing a bed?
Like, what? It's not something that I like super care about on a personal level. But I think that
this season was frustrating because it felt like Kyle was picking and choosing so much, kind of
what to share with who and when. And then seeing these clips, I don't watch.
buying Beverly Hills because I simply can't go there. But the clips that I see that are like
talking to the daughters about what's happening with the marriage and talking about the timeline.
And it's like that is, that's like what I would expect from Kyle on housewives. And so if that
includes talking about Morgan and sharing that, I encourage it, but I also don't need like a
solo scene of them just like shopping together. So I was super against buying Beverly Hills.
And then I started to watch buying Beverly Hills. And it's so fucking good. And for people who
are understandably still upset about what we didn't see on BH, including after the announcement
went off, that we like had this sort of cursory, uncomfortable meeting with the kids.
They, that was filmed after they had filmed everything or a lot of stuff, not everything,
because there was an additional scene that's really intense.
It was filmed months after the fact.
But it's, you get what you're looking for on buying Beverly Hills.
The thing that really does annoy me is that then Kyle, after knowing what has.
been filmed for Mauricio's show, then goes on the reunion and it's like, I'm not going to talk
about any of this, knowing what was filmed while she was there and after she was not, which is a little
frustrating. But if you purely just want to hear Mauricio, especially being in an uncomfortable
conversation with his kids about what on earth is going on and finding out through TMZ and everything
else, I highly recommend it. I really do. I've watched a couple of those episodes multiple times,
because they're genuinely fascinating.
And the whole thing with the finding out from TMZ, I'm like, I understand that that must have sucked for those girls.
But to me, like, that is Kyle and Mauricio's fault.
Oh, 100%.
Because they, this was happening in some way for months.
And you have adult daughters.
Like, these are not, it's not like you have like six-year-olds that you're trying to protect.
I know that Portia's still.
Yeah, she's 16 or 17.
But it's like, you have a 20.
seven-year-old daughter, or however old, like, you know, Alexia is.
Fares in our 30s.
But it's like, you didn't do a good job of preparing them for when this was going to happen.
You're both, you've both been on reality TV for over a decade.
You knew how this was going to go down the second somebody got a whiff of it.
And you, it's, it was on them to deal with that as a family the way that they needed to,
whether it was on camera, off camera, whatever.
But like, at a certain point, I'm like, yeah, Kyle, you should have talked to,
Alexia before this was going to come out in TMZ.
The thing that's so interesting on top of that,
which I obviously absolutely agree with,
is that the kids start talking about the fact that their parents never had
uncomfortable conversations with them ever.
It was like every conversation they had with the family was really light.
So now the kids are dealing with complicated feelings,
and they don't know how to process them as adults
because their parents did not show them how to handle the complicated truths
of life. They made everything so light. It's like the idea that sometimes people criticize,
Mauricio, myself included, for just being kind of sacchar and sweet. Turns out that, a lot of that
was happening behind closed doors as well. And like from what we know about Big Kathy and Kyle's
childhood, it was probably relatively dark, complicated. Her mom had a lot of stuff to deal with
the kids being the, you know, supporters for their families. All of that's like really tough.
But she did the thing that a lot of people do, which is like swinging in the exact
opposite direction, maybe as just a way to thinking that was how to protect their kids or make them
happy or have a quote unquote happy house. But as a result, these kids are now in the public eye
having to process all this in front of cameras and saying out loud, like, they didn't do a great
job with having the kind of honest conversations that would have made us more comfortable in
talking about this now. They never learned that life isn't all diamonds and rosé. Amen. But it should be.
It should be. It should be. It should be.
Should be.
I just want to, okay, I want to get your take quickly on, on what's going to happen in Potomac now.
Because Robin, she got fired.
The biggest surprise of the day.
By far.
By far.
Robin's not coming back.
I couldn't have guessed.
Candice obviously has, has departed the show.
Mazel tov.
She's now with child.
Mazel to.
She and Chris are going to have a little, a little candy gal or guy.
I don't know.
But so, yeah, that leaves us with, I think, a similar question of, are there going to be more heads to roll after this season, which I think, you know, from most parties was kind of the weakest season Potomac has had to date.
Do you, do you want more casting changes?
So I recorded an episode with Richie Sky, which will be out the day that this episode goes out, right before it, unbeknownst to me, which he shared.
during the recording, there had been a report that went out by the Jasmine brand, who had also
been spot on with prior firings, that NECA has been fired.
Oh, yeah.
Which a lot of people picked up, but it has not been confirmed even a little bit.
So it's just a rumor as of right now.
Yeah, NECA is like one rung above Anna Marie to me in terms of the like assuming she's not
going to be back.
So I kind of meant like aside from her.
Right.
Just to say that in a day of big announcements, the NECA rumors, I would.
consider one of them. Okay. I think my, my real question is like, even a little bit. What are we doing
with Wendy? I don't know. I, I have, I thought, I thought part two of the reunion was like one of
the worst things I've ever seen. And then I was introduced to part three. And at certain points,
I was watching the screen. I just started like, I don't know if I was shouting it, but I was just saying
out loud like, no, this is bad. I'm by myself watching the TV. I'm like, I can't believe they're
making me do this. Like it was just so bad. It was one of the worst seasons of any franchise,
but Potomac has also consistently had some of the very, very best. I don't know what they do right now.
And the Wendy is tough because NECA, I didn't feel great about through a lot of this season,
but she came to play at the reunion, not like really play, but she came to try to move forward. She was
trying to move forward as best she could throughout the reunion episodes. And Wendy wouldn't give
her an end. She wouldn't look at her in the face when she was apologizing. She was incredibly cold,
very disconnected. Wendy has done this thing every season of like, I've decided to, you know,
have a new job. And spoiler alert, it's really hard. And I don't know how many seasons I need to
have of Dr. Wendy saying I was trying to get into a new field of work and spoiler alert,
it's complicated.
I don't know how many more times I need to see that.
And I also think she did not take responsibility for anything.
She's in the perfect cast to do that.
But I just don't, I don't know what to do with her moving forward.
Yeah.
I think that it's sort of a deadly combination of the storyline isn't necessarily working.
and also the relationships in the group are in a challenged spot.
And that's not solely her fault, but, you know, she hasn't necessarily like done everything she could to patch things up.
Which, you know, in theory, if you're a housewife and you're in a position where you think that you might be kind of like on the bubble a little bit,
you would want to come to reunion either to have, you know, a big splashy moment or to really like mend fences.
And kind of neither of those things happened.
And so I think that, you know, say what you want about Candace,
but she, you know, removed herself from the equation for next season.
So, you know, she and Giselle didn't make any progress at the reunion, but she's gone.
So now Giselle kind of like, you know, sort of by default wins that one, I guess.
But then it's like with Wendy and Giselle, it's like, I don't know.
Giselle winning means the audience is ultimately going to lose.
And so that's my question for you.
If I can just have a question for you, what do we do about Giselle?
I think that almost, I mean, Giselle and Kyle are not similar necessarily in terms of like personality type, whatever.
But I think that maybe they're in similar positions where I think that they both sort of need to be challenged.
and maybe like brought down to Earth a little bit.
I think Giselle,
Giselle has never really had to worry about her like spot on the show.
I think that's fair to say.
Honestly, I don't think like, you know, now Robin has departed,
but like the other three OGs,
I don't think have ever really like felt like their spot is on the line.
And I think that Giselle just needs to sort of like play ball a little bit more.
And I don't know if that's going to happen with new.
cast members, you know, but I feel like she, she needs to understand that, like, she has to work
within the ensemble. And with Candace and Wendy this season, it was, it was just like a slog to
watch them be, you know, stuck in place for the entire season. Like, there wasn't ever any inkling that
they were going to, you know, move toward each other. And I think that I would just like to see a
season of Potomac where there's a little bit more of a group-wide vibe. And then there can be conflict
within that, you know, sort of friend group, but like, just not these, like, overarching things
that are just like, we can't move past ever. I don't know that Jazeel can adapt. Like, Karen Hugar
can goddamn adapt. Karen, it's like, Karen did not have, like, you know, a remarkable season.
Honestly, Mia is the only one that comes out of this season, I think, really, like, moving up the
ladder. But Karen, by way of being sort of friends with everyone, managed to kind of stay out of
the really, like, tough parts of this season. Like, the dynamics that really were bringing it down,
Karen was not involved in any of them in choosing sides or anything. So I think that Karen sort of,
like, you know, she like took the high road and is still in like a pretty good position. Whereas
Giselle, it's like, God, really?
Can we just like, I don't know, reel it in.
And now that Robin's not going to be there, like, I don't know if that's going to like,
I think if Giselle had left and Robin stayed, I think Robin would have had to kind of like
do something.
I don't think that Robin leaving is going to make Giselle feel like she's like vulnerable
at all.
Yeah, I think that's a problem.
Exactly.
She should have learned when she realized she wasn't first seat, that she was second
seat, that like, I think that was a nudge to, you know, you're not.
the number one guy in this group.
Yeah.
But so that's interesting.
I mean, it's similar with Beverly Hills where it's like, okay, so we've lost Robin and
Candace.
If NECA's not coming back, you know, that leaves us with, you know, four or five people.
It's like, is that good to start from?
And then we add a couple more people.
Like, it's tricky.
And I don't know what they're going to do.
But I don't think you can move forward with noting that several people will likely be added.
And also my just sidebar, my hope is that Kay,
returns in some capacity.
Oh yeah, I like Keanu.
I really, really liked her.
I would love to see her promoted.
But if she's a friend of, I think she deserves it, especially after what happened at the
finale and what she's had to deal with since.
I think she genuinely deserves it.
And I really, really like her energy on the show.
I also think that it's, it's important to note that she seems to be in a good place with
pretty much everyone.
Yeah.
And based on the tough dynamics that made this season so hard to watch, having people that get
along with almost or everyone in the group is a good thing. Yeah, I think it's very hard. It's like,
Karen wasn't the superstar of every episode. She doesn't need to be. And what she was doing in front of the
camera, and I'm sure behind the scenes, requires so much effort and just a sense of grace. Like,
I think she deserves to get some, some flowers for that. But I just also think that, regardless of who
they're thinking of adding, to have Ashley on the show, Giselle on the show, Karen, who's, you know,
my queen. And then who am I missing? Mia and Wendy. The only, oh, right, Wendy. The only people who I
think deserve to have job security at this point are Mia, honestly, genuinely, and Karen Hugar.
Nobody else. I think everyone else should be, it should be on the table. Like, does this genuinely
make sense moving forward? Which doesn't take away from their contributions to the show. You could
have been a very, very good housewife, but not the right energy for what they need to rebuild.
Like this isn't a casting issue.
This is a, we just need to rebuild.
It doesn't need to be a, oh my God, is Potomac ever going to come back to?
Of course it is.
I'm very, very confident it is.
But they do have a really, this is like a, I think it's a production issue.
It's not just in front of the camera.
It's also behind the scenes.
They need to reset.
And I think there needs to be a further call.
I really do.
I think Ashley could benefit from a like Luann style friend of season.
1,000 percent.
And then it's like she's still in the mix.
She can still be on almost every episode.
But maybe she has to like work for her camera time a little bit more.
You know, I don't think Giselle would probably even entertain that.
Like if they tried to demote her.
I don't know if she would do it.
Well, God bless.
I don't know what to tell you.
We still have Karen.
But what you, the Ashley Luke comparison is absolutely spot on.
That is a great analysis, honestly.
And I think that would be something that hope.
fully production and the network is thinking about, but I don't know. I don't know who's making
these decisions. Bravo's made so many terrible ones that like, I don't know. I don't know what's
going to happen. I'm hopeful. And as of today, we have no housewives shows airing. Oh my God,
is that true? Yeah, until Jersey premieres at the beginning of May. We have a zero housewives on the
calendar. Well, thank God. I'm now unpacking other shows. And honestly, thank God that Vanderpump
roles in Summerhouse is giving us so much to work with. But can I just ask?
ask for you and any other housewives, Bravo historians out there.
Has this ever happened before where there's not been a housewife franchise on TV,
not including girls' trip, which also, L.L, what's happening with that, for more than a week?
I, not that I can recall in the time that I've been, since like 2019, I feel like I would remember.
When we were 18.
Okay, great.
When we were very young.
I was still in school.
I was still in school.
I was not born in 2001, Sarah.
No, when were we born?
We were in 1998.
I was born in 1995.
Babies when we saw Titanic.
It's how I learned how to swim.
It is a strange time.
And I don't want to act like there's nothing airing on Bravo.
I mean, like you said, Summerhouse, Vanderpupon, Martha's Vineyard is good right now.
I always love Top Chef.
But like, it is a strange time.
And to know that, okay, so we have Jersey premiering in a few weeks, but that's one.
That's one show.
And then Dubai is the next thing coming back after that, which like, you know, we'll talk about it later, maybe.
But it's like, TBD.
But it's like it is, it's a weird time.
And obviously we have things filming.
We're talking about OC.
You know, Roney's back in production.
Salt Lake has been filming.
But it's like it's going to be a long spring summer.
They need to be working around the clock to get Orange County out.
We are all calling for it.
We know it's going to be great.
I need people there working overtime.
It needs to be like how Pixar moves.
Like I need to have a team of people in that editing suite.
We have to work in shifts.
24-7.
100%.
This needs to be like all of the residents in hospitals who are working, you know,
95 days without pause need to come in and train the Housewives editors on how to make this happen
because we need, injected into my veins immediately.
I feel like there have maybe this is more further in the past,
but I feel like there were times when they were like putting out a,
they were like announcing a premiere for a season that was like just about to finish filming.
Like I think that they used to run on a little bit more of like a quick turnaround time.
And maybe now they've gotten into this rhythm where it's like, oh, Jersey filmed last summer.
It'll premiere in May.
But it's like we can't be, we can't be doing that right now.
I don't know which baby genius decided to have four Housewives franchises on at one time.
But I would take a keen eye to making sure that never fucking happens again because Miami,
being sort of siloed.
I mean, it was...
Being like second fiddle to Beverly Hills.
It was not fair to Miami.
It's too late for me to go back now.
But it needed, it deserved more than what it got.
And now we have nothing.
Yeah.
No, it was...
What an upper.
Anything else, anybody else get fired or late or something?
I don't know.
Refresh.
Andy's still there?
What's happening?
I think we're good.
I think we mentioned it all.
Sarah, always a pleasure.
Tell everyone where they can listen.
to Andy's Girls. I mean, they know where they can listen to Andy's Girls, but tell everyone to listen to Andy's
girls. Well, Andy's Girls is a Housewives Psychology podcast. It's considered a mix between C-SPAN and
Ion and Aal Fix My Life that gets down to the conversation, not just about what we're watching on
screen, but about how our own experiences shape our opinions. That's available wherever you listen
to your favorite podcasts, and I also have taking it personally, which is available in the same
feed, which talks about Summer House, Fanderpump rules, and even heaven forbid, non-Brabbo shows.
So you can listen to that wherever you listen to your favorite podcast on the same feed.
It's just so easy when you subscribe.
I love it.
I just did refresh Instagram just to make sure.
And the first thing that came up was Shire in a cowboy hat.
So I feel good about ending this year.
I know you're rapping, but you also know I love a PS.
Is Shire coming back?
We don't know.
We only have Portia in Kenya so far.
Well, that's a solid too.
but let's make it a Holy Trinity.
Get Shire back.
We cannot fire her again because we are going to rehire her.
This can't happen a fourth time.
Just keep her on the cast.
I don't care what she does.
I agree.
It's just, it's a lot.
It's a lot.
Yeah.
Well, Shiree, if you're listening, we love you.
And lower the cost of your sweatsharts.
Please, God.
It should not be $400 for polyester.
Sarah, thank you so much.
Thanks, everyone for listening.
