Mention It All
A Bravo by Betches podcast
We don't say that
But now we said it
With me Dylan Hafer
We're going to check me both
Hey everyone
Welcome back to the Mentioned All podcast
And welcome back
To another
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
finale
Recap Day
We have made it
Oh my gosh
I
There just aren't really
enough words to describe
the love I have
for these ladies, the love
I have for this franchise
and though I say there aren't enough words to describe it,
I guess I will try to find them
in the next 30 minutes or so
because we are here to talk
about all things Salt Lake City.
And here's the thing.
They said it couldn't be done.
They said this franchise
had been put through the ringer
and was rode hard
and ready to be put away wet,
But these ladies just don't let up.
And I am so thankful.
I think everybody else is so thankful.
And this finale, I think we can't overstate the level to which these women, like, what they gave us last year, was so epic and so historic.
And to come back after that, and they went right back into filming.
And to have the bar set so high and to consistently be.
meeting it, clearing it, reinventing it, smashing it. It really is like, I just, I just don't want to
take it for granted. I want to take this moment and just say to the ladies of Salt Lake City,
before I maybe get into dragging some of you, or before I get into, you know, critiquing some
behavior or some texts, texts that were shared, thank you all for a great season.
and man, we just are so lucky to be living in these times because we don't always have something like this going on.
I mean, I don't think it's benefiting necessarily New York or Potomac that they're all kind of airing on the same cycle.
We have three cast trips happening at the same time.
We have finalities and reunions that are happening on top of each other.
And when you have one franchise that is performing at the level of Salt Lake City, it really is like,
It's like if you're trying to race like a Ferrari with a, I don't know, what's a shitty car?
I don't want to piss off any, you know, auto brands that might be listening.
But like, Salt Lake City's the Ferrari and nothing else is the Ferrari.
And it's tough when you're not the Ferrari.
But thankfully, we're going to talk about Salt Lake City.
Now, for the second year in a row, Salt Lake City is ending their season at the finale dinner of the
finale trip.
And this is something that I wonder if there is some sort of secret sauce here in just the
formatting, because there have been so many seasons of Housewives where they go on this epic
trip to some far-flung locale and there's, you know, gorgeous scenery and there's gorgeous
drama, you know, the drama we love.
And people are storming out of dinners and people are crying and people are having dinners
from hell and boat rides from hell and, you know, gondola rides from hell and whatever they have
in hell. They're putting it on these housewives trips. But much of the time, they finish the trip
and then they go home and we get like one to three episodes of settling back in. We see people
debriefing with husbands and, you know, sisters and friends about, oh my God, things in. And,
that trip to Japan was so crazy and can you believe what happened? And wow, I just don't know how we're
going to recover from this. But thankfully, Candy's having one more party and so everybody's going to go
to the party and we're going to hopefully fight at the party, but then sometimes nothing happens at the
party, but then the party is the finale. So we just kind of have to leave it there. And that works
really well sometimes. Obviously, not every season needs to be the exact same
cookie cutter approach to what we did last time, so we're just going to do it again.
I like that they are flexible with the structure, and I think that Salt Lake has tapped
into something really interesting where imagine last season in Bermuda if we had had one more
episode after that dinner, and we would have seen what? Monica at that house,
crying into a fake burberry fleece blanket because nobody will talk to her anymore.
We would have seen Heather debriefing with one of her daughters about,
can you believe we had the craziest dinner ever in Bermuda?
It's not that I think it would have been bad.
It's that they knew exactly how to calibrate it so that we ended on the highest possible
note.
And that after a finale like that, after it, well, if it wasn't the finale,
there's no way that they would have topped it in the episode after.
And you just always want a finale that's going to make a splash.
And so this season, I am actually, I would love to know.
I would love to speak to somebody from production or from the network.
And this isn't going to happen.
They're not going to tell me this because, you know, I'm pushing my luck as it is.
But I would love to know if they went into this Puerto Vallarta trip,
knowing that the last dinner on the trip was intended to be the finale.
or whether it was like, damn, they did it again.
Why would we even bother with filming more?
Or maybe they did film more and they didn't show it to us.
Because that's the thing, like, I think that's something that maybe people didn't
use to understand or to realize as much.
But they film so much stuff that we don't see.
And I don't just mean, oh, the dinner was two hours and they cut it down to 10 minutes.
There's events, parties, dinners, sometimes even whole trips that we just don't see.
see on the final edit of the show. So I want to salute the producers and editors of this show once
again for really reading the room and working with what they got to give us this big, splashy finale
moment because I think, frankly, it's what these women deserve, it's what this show deserves,
and it's what we deserve, it's what we want, it's what we need, and to have these finalees
in back-to-back years that have created such iconic moments. And I feel,
comfortable saying that this finale
is creating iconic moments
knowing, yeah, it just aired 12
hours ago, but
I mean, let's be real.
It's iconic.
So good, so good.

done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope,
it's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
The reunion teaser that they dropped yesterday was hot and spicy.
I'm excited to see the husbands back in the mix.
I feel like that's one thing about ending on the trip
is that we don't usually get any husband.
And I'm okay with not getting any husband.
But I think on Salt Lake, there are husband storylines that are worth kind of following.
and obviously we'll get to some of the ways in which husbands are brought into the conversation on this finale.
So I'm excited to have them be able to speak for themselves a little bit.
I'm excited to see Andy asking Seth Marks about maybe having a side chick in Ohio.
That seems like it's something that isn't terribly well received by Meredith Marks.
Can you imagine?
Meredith not playing along.
Wow, that's crazy to think about.
But this finale, let's get into it.
Let's get into it.
I say 10 minutes into talking about it.
So there was no way they were going to top reality vanties.
I think that's safe to say.
I don't think that this episode is necessarily going to be earth-shattering outside of the Housewives bubble the same way that last year's finale was.
But I actually think in sort of in a different way, I think it's better for the show than last season's finale was.
And what I mean by that is that the finale in Burmese.
Utah, when they basically banded together to vote Monica off the island, literally and figuratively,
it's rare to have a housewife season end with everybody sort of like coming together in that way.
So it was an exciting moment.
It felt like an impactful moment.
But then what you're left with is that to come back, you know, a few months later and start
filming a new season, you have to really start like scratching at the surface.
and trying to find those loose threads and those, you know, little holes to create storyline for the following season.
And I think that this season, they were able to do it really successfully.
You know, thankfully Meredith was pissed off about her bath bombs.
And, you know, Bronwyn came in with a lot of energy and there was still lingering stuff between Angie and Meredith and the scroll and all of that.
Like, these are petty-ass women, which thankfully gives us a lot to work with.
But leaving this finale, if they're going to start filming in hopefully within a month or so,
there are so many loose ends that we can keep pulling at those threads.
And I'm not worried at all about next season.
Knowing that Lisa hates Whitney more than she ever has before, that's something we can work with.
Knowing that Mary and Angie are able to come to come to.
to, you know, a better place by the end of this episode. But don't forget, 20 minutes before,
Mary was, I'm done with you. That, I think, is going to leave a little bit of a scar.
These texts that we're reading at this final dinner are going to leave some scars,
even if the idea is that everybody is, you know, burning it and burying it and moving forward,
blank slate. I don't think that some of these are like blank slate kind of ladies.
Angie just, you know, you heard that text that Angie wrote about Bronwyn. We have,
haven't heard the last of that. And that's the thing. Like, it's famous last words on housewives to be like,
and everything from the past is fully forgotten about and forgiven and we're never going to bring it up again.
I mean, tell that to Teresa Judice talking about her sister-in-law going behind her back to get on the show,
you know, back when Obama was still in his first term. We're still talking about it. None of this stuff is in the past
until, you know, until you're not on the show anymore.
But I think the other takeaway for me from this finale,
the other one of the other ones is like Heather Gay is kind of an all-timer.
And I think that over the last few seasons,
people have had a lot of polarized reactions and feelings about Heather.
And I think that in certain cases, that has been very warranted, very understandable.
I mean, she will never live down the way that she handled the Jenshaw legal scenario.
That was not good for her.
She has acknowledged it.
She has written about it in her book.
We've covered that.
I think that this season, people were finding a lot of frustration with Heather,
just sort of the way she was going about things,
the kind of season she was having.
Her dynamic with Bronwyn, I don't think landed terribly well for her.
you know, people just weren't loving the way she was kind of existing within this group.
To me, I don't think that she really did anything so wrong this season.
But however you feel about her in, you know, the months and weeks prior to this,
the way that she orchestrated this last dinner in Mexico,
I don't know what producer was whispering in her ear.
I don't know who told her that this text message game, if you want to call it, that was something that she should move forward with.
But that was like masterful.
Just God-tier level putting on the producer hat and thinking, what can I do right now that is going to create half a dozen iconic moments?

Watching the episode, so I watched on Peacock, they have the uncensored version, and I'm not sure if it's, I think it's extended.
was a full 60 minutes of content with no commercials. And that text message game is like at least
20 minutes of that. That is a thick chunk of content. And it is, that shit is action-packed.
It's like when you go, when there's like a three-hour movie and people like me who are
annoying and like, we'll watch a three-hour movie are like, no, no, no, no, don't worry. It
flies by. It earns the runtime. That text message game, I was.
locked in. I think everybody, I think I speak for everyone when I say every minute of that was
just kind of staged to perfection. And, and I'm so thankful. But let's, let's back up a little
bit because reading the mean text messages about, text messages about each other was an iconic
way to end the season, but that is not where this episode began. And we, we have some things to
talk about first. First and foremost, we forgot about Meredith's scratched cornea. That happened in this
episode. At the very beginning of this episode, Heather walks out to breakfast and Meredith is wearing a
I imagine faux fur Louis Vuitton eye mask that is askew so it's only covering one eye and she's sitting
at the table like she has just drank a whole bottle of cough syrup and she's like, yeah,
I woke up at 4 a.m. and I scratched my cornea. First of all, how does that happen? Like, what is what is the
story there. When Heather had a black eye, we spent a year and a half trying to get to the bottom of it. Meredith scratched cornea doesn't get six seconds of screen time. You know, it's, we're moving at a clip where we don't even stop to think about it. Need I remind you, Bronwyn got mauled by a dog right before coming on this trip to Mexico, and we haven't talked about it in weeks. The way that these women are burning through story because they just have bigger fish,
to fry, it is, it's actually kind of mind-blowing.
That these things that would be, again, whole episodes, half a season, an ongoing, you know,
drama, trauma, whatever on most other franchises are just complete throwaways on this show.
It's, it's kind of crazy.
It's kind of crazy.
But I don't think we hear about Meredith's Cornea another time, the whole episode, 60 minutes.
They don't have time for the cornea.
We got to move on.
got to move on to our Lisa Barlow lunch. Now, I love this. I do love a creative theme. And I think
that Heather was right on the money where she said Lisa hates a theme. So the only theme she's
going to like is everybody dressing up like her. I was actually pleasantly surprised how few
outfit digs and critiques Lisa got in at everybody else's Lisa Barlow drag. I mean, obviously
she had to make the dig about Whitney Rose wearing three-year-old Tom Ford pants.
but she still said she looked cute.
That was, of course, until Whitney had the tags still on her outfit.
And she said that this was, you know, sort of an homage to Lisa allegedly returning her clothes.
And it is just like, it's so funny how something like that that is like just not that big of a deal is the worst thing you could possibly accuse Lisa Barlow of.
well, maybe
until something else
later in the episode.
But she is so pissed off
that Whitney has made this dig
about returning clothes.
She's like, no, no, no, no, no.
Actually, she's like, you should look at my closet.
You should look at my closet.
I have two closets.
They're bursting, bursting, bursting, bursting.
Two closets bursting with clothes.
You should look in there.
Everything I've ever worn, it's in there.
I never return stuff.
Maybe you return stuff.
On Watch What Happens Live.
She said that she thinks Whitney is projecting.
and that Whitney's the one returning clothes.
She's like, take the fucking wig off.
Take the wig off.
Take the fucking wig off.
By the way, watch this on Peacock because I love watching uncensored housewives because
the way those F-bombs just fucking slap.
Take the fucking wig off.
Oh, it just like sends a little shiver down my spine.
And then, you know, meanwhile, meanwhile, of course Brittany is melting down about something
because she's always, if there's attention, she's going to want it.
And she says that she's melting down about how she got screamed at in the van because of the recording thing.
And she says that she will never recover from the way Meredith spoke to her, which it's like, look, Meredith does that like twice a week.
Meredith has a moment like that which is like, you get security!
You are recording us on your phone.
Get out!
like that is that is like par for the course I feel if you're spending this much time with Meredith like she's done it what three times just on this Mexico trip
Britney's think that she will never recover from this is it's a little much and then she also like throws out a stray accusation that Mary also was recording them and you know that Mary doesn't have the time of day for Britney so that is again just kind of a wild thing I mean
Brittany, I think
I don't necessarily
I don't think that
she should not be on the show next season
but I think that
if she is going to come back
we really need to
work on having a thicker skin
because I actually
I find her entertaining
some of the time
I think that her
personal
mess of a life
sorry is quite
interesting, but the way that she handles herself in so many of these situations is just
annoying. Like, grow up. Get a grip. You're fine. But anyway, no, she's crying. She's leaving the
table. And this is when things get tough because Angie leaves the table to go support Britney.
And Mary is like, why is Angie leaving the table to go be with this girl that I have told her I
don't like. And if she's supposed to be my friend, then I don't like that she's going to go,
you know, chase after Brittany. So now, guess what? I'm done with Angie. And so she tells
the other ladies this when they go to their horseback riding. They split into horse. I love
when they split into activities and just seeing what the choices are. And it's like, okay,
horseback riding or saviche making class. Ooh, fun. I probably would choose saviche,
just because I haven't been on a horse since I was a kid. And like, I just, I just,
feels like a whole thing. Like, I don't want to ride a horse. And then you have to wear jeans,
or like, at least like pants. And it looks so warm and nice. And I don't know. But Mary is like,
nope, I'm done with her. It's over. I told her that I didn't fuck with Britney. And she's still,
look, Mary is somebody who is always going to march to the beat of her own drum. She is always
going to make her own judgment calls.
And right away, I was like anticipating, feeling devastated on behalf of Angie because I knew
that the second that conversation came up with her, that Angie was going to be heartbroken.
And at the last dinner, I mean, it comes up right away.
Angie's like, hey, Mary, you're being really quiet.
And Mary just does that thing where she's like, I know.
Yeah, I'm being quiet.
and she tells her, she tells her that she's pissed about this Britney thing.
And you can tell that Angie is just like so deeply hurt and confused.
And she's like, what do you mean that I was never really friend?
You know, I spent, I spent months trying to be your friend and trying to gain your trust.
And Mary's like, I didn't ask you to do that.
And she says, you told me that God brought us together, that into each other's lives.
And Mary's like, yeah, I guess I was wrong.
I guess I made a mistake.
Just like the way that Mary can flip that switch.
Because when Mary arrived in Mexico, that moment of them like reuniting in the room was like so beautiful and so warm.
And the way that they've been there for each other these last few weeks has just been like
so soul-affirming or whatever.
And to watch Mary, but then she really, she does open up and she talks about how she has
these abandonment issues from when she was a kid that her dad said that he didn't like her
and left and never came back.
And she has issues with her mom too.
And that really, like, as an adult dealing with issues like this still affect.
her so much to this day and how how much it affects her relationships and her friendships and the
way that she moves through the world. And I think sort of the quiet part here that she's not
talking about is whatever is going on with her marriage because, you know, we haven't seen
Robert Sr. on the show at all this season. It doesn't seem like he's even been in Utah at all
in the time that they've been filming this season. It's like he might as well not exist in the world
of the show. Obviously, she's really going through it with everything with her son right now.
And I am so, I'm so happy and relieved that in that moment, Angie was able to sort of talk Mary off the friendship ledge and be like, I promise you. I'm not abandoning you. I do love you. I want, I want to be friends for life. Like this is, and I think with Angie, like, whenever you have like a, a,
friendship moment like this on housewives. A lot of the time you're kind of like,
okay, whatever, like how deep is this really? But Angie's the kind of person,
you know, I've met her a couple times. I don't know her well, of course, but like it really
feels like she is just this like sensitive, tender person, like under maybe the hard exterior
and the, you know, big fish eye Balenciaga glasses. Like she's like a, she's like a, she's like
a soft person. And so knowing that that friendship with Mary was something that she was really
invested in, I'm very grateful that she was able to kind of reel that back in. It seems like
they're in a better place. Like I said, we'll see kind of if that is preserved going into next
season. But I'm glad that they were able to mend things quickly. But that is, that's kind of
where the good moments end.
Because we get this like completely, first of all,
I love on Housewives when there's a moment
where it is so obvious that something was completely dropped in
after the fact with ADR.
Because it's like we get this lovely moment with Angie and Mary
and then just fully piped in from a microphone somewhere in L.A.,
we hear, this was great.
Who else wants to clear the air?
We don't see anybody's mouth moving.
I think it was supposed to sound like it was Heather.
I have literally no idea who said it.
But then this is Meredith wants to clear the air with Whitney about the Alibaba rumor.
And it's just like not the Alibaba rumor.
We could not be going back to this.
But she says she's bringing back up this podcaster that she has met a few times and that, you know, this is the guy that Whitney said that Lisa was the one who's
started the rumor, and Meredith says that the podcaster told her that he never gave Whitney
proof so that Whitney was lying about Lisa. It just, to me, the whole, like, who feeds stuff to
who, who talks to bloggers, who talks to the press, who talks to, you know, podcasters.
We are always going to be, like, the dog chasing its own tail when it comes to this, because, like,
the fact of the matter is, most of these women probably are.
yapping in their DMs to people who they don't really know or to somebody who wanted to talk shit
or had some little piece of tea. I mean, I sometimes will get DMs from people that are like,
hey, do you want to know something about this person? I'm like, I actually don't. Like, I want to watch
the show. I want to talk about the show. Sometimes if there's like stuff happening on social media,
I think that's interesting too. But I'm like, I actually don't need to know about what your friends said.
they heard that this person did at a party two years ago, but also there's like no evident.
Like it just is, it's such a rabbit hole, but these women take it so seriously.
And so for Whitney then to admit in that moment that she knows, she says that she knows Lisa talked to reality von T's because she reached out to Monica and asked her about it.
And it's like, first of all, it's like, we just don't say the M word.
really you're at this dinner in Mexico that a year later and you think that bringing up Monica's
name is going to like help you make your case. I was actually surprised that people weren't
more jumping down Whitney's throat for that because it's like, don't talk about Monica.
It's like the number one rule of Salt Lake City Fight Club. We don't talk about Monica. That just
feels like a given. So I was like, Whitney, we're making some missteps here. Just keep it together.
And Heather, I love Heather, kind of like admonishing them saying that talking to the podcaster, who shall remain nameless, I guess, is embarrassing and that they're letting a stranger exploit them. And it's like, I kind of, I kind of agree. I don't know. Sorry. I mean, everybody's trying to hustle out here and make a buck. But like, ladies, you guys have jobs. You're employed on this show. Let's keep it together. Let's keep some class. But we have gotten to the point where Heather, um,
Heather brings up that they all understand each other like nobody else and that they need to
support each other and the way that they are going to fully move forward and fully cut out the
cancer in this group because clearly they didn't accomplish it by getting rid of Monica
is that they are going to go around the circle and they're each going to find the meanest thing
that they have texted about somebody else in the group and they're going to give their phone
to the person who the text was about and that person.
is going to read it. And this in the
pantheon
of shady housewives
table games and
activities, I
think is setting a new
high. We have the Marisol
who here do you trust
the least. Still a
classic, still a great one.
We have Heather's own from last season. Who would you throw off the
wagon? I think that's a great one.
This kind of takes it to the next level because it's not
just like who here have you talked
shit about name and name. It's, it's like we are going to say, who have you talked shit about,
find the thing that you said, and show it to them and make them read it out loud. And some of
these texts, my God. So I'm going to go through these texts. I'm going to read them. I have
them all written down here. Some of them are quite lengthy. And I am going to say, I think on a
scale of one to ten, how rough they are, how much damage they did. So this is Mary speaking about
Heather. And I wish we knew for all of these who they were sent to. Some of them, they let us know.
Some of them are a little bit of a mystery. But this is Mary speaking about Heather. Heather,
from day one, I never felt accepted by her or included as part of this group. She changed
once she became successful. I think it went to her head. She started getting aggressive and
referring back to all the things she accomplished and threw it in our faces. And instead of being
grateful for her blessings, it changed her to become competitive and super mean, all while she enjoyed
the feeling of fame. She has forgotten the people who helped her get to where she is and who are
truly happy and proud of her, like I have been and always will be.
Oh, starting off with this one, I mean, Heather came up with the game, so I am, I think,
glad that Heather got what, you know, got a taste of her own medicine.
This one, I feel like, is like an eight out of ten because it's really, like, personal about her, like, personal journey and growth.
But I did like the way that Heather sort of, like, turned it on its head.
And she was like, I'm not the same person I was five years ago because the person I was five years ago was, like, not in a good place.
And I didn't have, like, I didn't have these high aspirations for myself.
I thought that I was kind of, like, done in life.
And so, you know, I think Heather, like, this was a tough thing to read, a tough thing to hear.
And I think Heather did a good job, kind of handling it, massaging it.
On the other hand, Britney Bateman, girl, I just said, I think some kind of nice things about you.
Well, actually, that's an exaggeration.
I said that I don't think you should be fired.
But her text about Mary, my God, she just says, it's like a snippet of a text.
And Mary doesn't even know what it is at first because she's like, what is this?
would like to invite Bronwyn over for tea instead of Mary tomorrow. What is, what is this rookie,
season? Like, this is zero out of ten. Mary doesn't give a fuck. Mary never wanted to get tea
with Brittany anyway. She needs to do better. And frankly, I mean, like another text, we'll get to.
I don't believe that this is the meanest thing that Brittany has ever said about somebody in the group.
These women have been horrible to her. And she's never, like, she's never had a moment where she's like,
God damn it. I hate Meredith. She's better than me, if that's the case.
Moving on. Bronwyn about Brittany. This one.
Brittany is emotionally manipulative. She parentifies her children, trauma bonds in relationships,
and is doing it to us. It's below her intelligence level, her age and maturity level,
and it makes me feel nervous, furious, and embarrassed for her. This is a tough one.
I mean, really getting into that, like, psychologist bag here, I think that this maybe is the most, like, spot on of any of the texts, which Brittany probably doesn't want to hear.
And Britney does say that Bronwyn doesn't know her well enough to know any of these things or to say this about her.
But the problem is that Brittany has been showing us all of these things all of this season.
The way she's spoken about prioritizing relationships over her kids.
the way we've seen her move through relationships on this season, the way she has trauma dumped on these women, it's not great for Brittany.
And I think that Britney is, you know, she's in denial a little bit. And I hope that she is able to watch the season back and grow from it.
TBD, let's just say TBD.
Here's Angie's text about Bronwyn.
Broadwin seems nice.
I like her business plan, marrying a guy who has one.
One foot in the grave and one on a banana peel.
But I like mine better.
I'd rather be self-made.
She's nice, but she doesn't listen because her ears are stitched down to her face so tight that she can't hear anything.
She wears a hot dog outfit to remind us she sucked her way to the top.
Oh my God.
I mean, this is a 10.
You're getting at her marriage.
You're getting at her looks.
You're getting at her fashion, which you know is important to her.
Another dig at her marriage saying she's nice, but she doesn't listen.
Also saying that she's nice twice in this text message, I feel like is low-key, so cutting.
Because it's like, yeah, she's nice, but like I hate everything about her.
And this is the one where I feel like, of course, Angie does the thing where she's like, it was in a moment.
After the camping, I didn't mean it, girl.
And Bronwyn, I think kind of is right when she's like, that you do.
You do mean it.
You said all these things.
It's about my looks.
about my marriage. It's about all of that. Maybe, maybe Angie doesn't always feel this strongly about
Ronwin, but I don't think she feels a lot of positive things for her. 10 out 10. I think this is,
this is one of the roughest ones. Moving on, we have Lisa about Meredith. I feel like Meredith
digs up information to weaponize it. It's fucking dirty and I don't like it. Again, this is a,
like a, what, two out of 10, maybe? A one. Lisa, pretending that this is the one, pretending that this is the
worst thing that she has ever said about anyone in this group is actually so laughable. Because,
like, you say worse things about half of the women on this show on a weekly basis on these
episodes. And so I don't believe for, like, one split second that she's not saying, worst things
about Whitney, worse things about Heather when they haven't gotten along, worse things about Angie,
worse things about Bronwyn, like, you name it. There is no one in this group that I think Lisa
hasn't said worse things about than I feel like she digs up information.
Okay.
Even Meredith's like, hangar.
Meredith can live with this.
This is a one out of ten.
Heather on Whitney.
This is the other.
I think this is competing with what Angie said about Bronwyn.
Whitney is a low-life, thirsty piece of shit.
She sold her soul for fame and recognition.
She's a snake.
I should have never trusted her.
I've been so stupid and loyal, carrying her stupid wild rose products, even though I never sold a fucking one.
Like, how do you recover from that?
That, I think that's a 10.
Because again, it's about her business.
It's about her character.
It's about her loyalty, her trust.
Like, I understand that Heather and Whitney have gone through some rough times on this show, and I think Whitney has brought some of them upon herself.
but like, God damn.
She wrote that out and sent it.
It's crazy to me because Whitney and Heather, I think, seem, are some of the most bought
into this concept of we're going to say this stuff and then we're going to bury it.
And so I want that for them, you know, I want to believe that this is going to be water under the bridge by next season.
But like, a low-life thirsty piece of shit?
That's a tough one.
It's tough.
And damn, again, I couldn't do this.
But then that brings us to the final one.
Whitney on Lisa.
Notice, Meredith didn't share a text.
This is to Angie, by the way.
So I was at a party with Justin, and a woman approached us saying that if we ever wanted to bring in a third, she's our girl.
In fact, Lisa and John can vouch for her because she has made out with Lisa while jerking off John.
Oh, Whitney, oh, sweet Whitney.
Oh, my God.
So here's the thing.
In Lisa Barlow's mind, this is a hundred out of ten, the worst thing Whitney could have possibly chosen to share.
In the real world, I think this is like a seven or eight.
I get it, but like also kind of who cares.
Whitney says she doesn't believe it.
It's unsubstantiated.
All of these women, for the most part, have had some sort of like cheating rumor, open relationship rumor,
Swinger rumor, you know, whatever.
Seth Marks has a side chicken Ohio, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.
But like, the thing is, none of the other texts that anyone shared to me felt strategic.
And I feel like Whitney knew what she was doing by choosing this because she knew that Lisa wasn't going to read this text and be like, oh, that's such a funny rumor that somebody would spread that this girl.
was jerking off John.
There's no world in which
Lisa would have read this and done anything
but throw the phone across the table
and storm out.
And so I think like,
I'm not saying that there was like 0%
of Whitney that felt bad about sending this text,
but I think that she also had a motive for this
and she knew that she was going to be poking the bear.
What I think that is unfortunate,
because, you know, whatever, Lisa and John can take it.
I don't really actually care that much.
I feel bad that then Lisa took it in the direction of throwing strays over at Angie and being like, well, remember when people said stuff about your relationship with Sean last season?
Like that would be like, you know, I hear that Sean like circle jerks.
And Angie's like, bitch, what the fuck are you talking about? Leave me out of it. I guess, I mean, like, Angie was on the receiving end of this text from Whitney and then didn't tell Lisa. I guess that's not great. But like,
Whitney knew what she was doing, Lisa knew what she was doing, and unfortunately it ends up with Angie basically being restrained by production because she's throwing a centerpiece across the table and I just, I don't know where we go from here. I don't know what's next. But we end at this dinner table. We end with Meredith saying that none of this is okay. She doesn't share a text message. Now, the one thing, the question I will all.
always have, and I don't know if we'll ever know, was Meredith planning to share a text before
Lisa read that text from Whitney and shit hit the fan? I don't think that Meredith wanted to share a
text, but if Whitney had said something innocuous about Lisa, I think it would have been harder
for her to get out of it because everybody else did. And I was surprised when Heather first brought
up this game, I thought we were going to get through like two or three of these texts, Max,
before somebody lost it and we forgot about the game.
So I was impressed that we made it through almost the whole group,
but I am kind of like, what would Meredith's text have been?
Also, like, who is Meredith texting, like, mean things to?
I guess Meredith probably would have been about,
I don't think it would have been about Britney,
because I don't think Meredith cares enough about Brittany
to really speak about her.
I'm sure Meredith said some not great stuff about Angie.
I'm sure Meredith has said some stuff about Lisa, Heather, Whitney.
I mean, you name it.
All of these women talk about all of them.
There's no, I mean, like, truly, the treasure trove, if we ever got like a, you know, like a subpoena in here and we're actually combing through all these texts, it would be shocking.
Actually, no, it wouldn't be shocked.
The things said would be shocking.
The volume of them, I think would be exactly what we expect.
but I would have liked to see, I think I would have liked to see a Meredith text about Angie
because Angie is the one person, Angie, actually, yeah, Angie's the one person who we don't see
any texts about. And girl, we know that some people have had something to say about Angie Kay.
There's no way. But that's where we leave things off.
Bronwyn says people's true colors are coming out. There's people who want to own their shit and be real friends.
and there's people who are surface fucking narcissists.
Tough call, but I don't necessarily disagree.
I don't know, but I do think this leaves us with a lot of, a lot of room for the reunion, a lot of room for next season.
And man, these women just are doing it like nobody else.
And, you know, Heather says that this is how you know who you can really trust.
This is how you can really move forward.
And the last thing Whitney says at this table, she's like, that was really helling.
I'm glad that Whitney thinks so.
I think some people would disagree.
But look, another season in the books.
I can't wait to get into the reunion for the next few weeks.
I can't wait for everything we have coming up.
And thank you for being along on the journey for another season of Salt Lake City.
And for everything else we have going on.
