Mention It All - Apology Dune Strikes Again On Summer House (Plus Traitors, RHOBH, RHOP, & Southern Charm Recaps)

Episode Date: February 20, 2026

It’s been a busy week on Bravo, and Dylan is back for another Friday episode recapping all the action. We kick things off with the new about The Valley’s upcoming third season, and how we’re fee...ling about Tom Schwartz and Lala Kent joining the cast. Then, the biggest story of the week is Kyle and Amanda’s cursed visit to Apology Dune on Summer House, and it seems like their marriage has truly reached its end point. After that, Dylan turns his focus to part one of the Real Housewives of Potomac reunion, featuring Wendy’s post-arrest footage, and a hilarious James Earl Jones moment. Later in the episode, Dylan gets into Erika and Kyle’s Amanda rehab project on RHOBH, and the Southern Charm cast’s trip to Mexico. We finish things off with a recap of this week’s Traitors episode, and some predictions for next week’s finale. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:27 See Home Depot.com slash price match for details. everyone, welcome back to the mentioned at all podcast. We've made it to another Friday, another busy week, and we're going to get into it all. We've got a lot to talk about today, so I'm not going to waste any time. We're going to talk about the Real House of Potomac Reunion Part 1. We've got some Beverly Hills to get into Summer House. Kyle and Amanda are still at Apology Dunn, some say, Southern Charm. They're on their trip to Mexico, and at the end, we're going to get into Tre Ars. It's the penultimate episode. it's getting down to the wire and things are getting messy. There will be traitors, spoilers in this episode.
Starting point is 00:01:10 So as I say every week, if you don't want to hear the Trairs, spoilers, you can turn off the episode, go watch, come back, I'll let you know when it's time. There wasn't a ton of Bravo news this week. The one thing that I want to touch on
Starting point is 00:01:25 is that we did get our first look at season three of the Valley. It's coming out on April 1st, which is the day before Real Housewives of Rhode Island. So circle that week in your calendars, that first week of April as a time when we are going to be, you know, sort of saging the room, getting some fresh energy into the Bravo schedule. I'm going to say the season three trailer of the Valley isn't anything like especially memorable to me. It's notable that we now have Tom Schwartz and Lawa Kent as full-time cast members of the Valley, which by my tally, that brings our cast member count up to 13. we're kind of stretching the bounds a little bit of how many people we can realistically fit into a one-hour ensemble TV show.
Starting point is 00:02:12 I think 13 is pushing it. It's kind of just giving me war flashbacks to that season of Vanderpump Rules when they added in like 46 new people. And suddenly it was like, sorry, who is standing next to everyone else in this like photo with Lisa and Guillermo? And, you know, they're like the old Vanderpump Rules intros that they would do that had like 45 people in them. Those were the days. Speaking of Vanderpump Rules, you guys, I forgot. I forgot, I forgot it was happening.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I literally, I saw somebody post about it this week. And I was like, oh, did their season end? Not only has their season not ended. I looked up the episodes. They're getting a two-part reunion. Two parts. I know that Vanderpump Rules is like an iconic show.
Starting point is 00:03:04 But this is a new show. Like, this season of Vanderpumpurals is not old Vanderpump Rules. We need to reassess how we are allocating reunion budgets. Because when you have something like, let's say next gen NYC, not getting a reunion. You know, it's taken other new shows, multiple seasons to really get what they deserve. I mean, think of all the years that Summerhouse was given short shrift when it came to their reunion setup. They didn't have a reunion.
Starting point is 00:03:37 They were doing a reunion in the clubhouse. They had a COVID reunion that was fully on Zoom. Like Paige was in her parents' house, talking into the microphone on her headphones. Like, we have to reassess, like, where are these budgets going to? How are these decisions being made? And who is watching the season of Vanderpump Rules and saying, you know what, I need 120 minutes of a reunion? in because it's not me. I mean, I'm a little behind.
Starting point is 00:04:07 And it's not at the top of my list to catch up on. Now, there are some shows that I am excited to catch up on. My episode with Boston Rob and Dylan Efron came out earlier this week. You can go watch, listen to it now. And we have a very special guest, Reza Farahan, on next Tuesday's episode. So the Valley Persian style, that show, I'm loving. And so I'm excited to talk more about that for you guys. to hear more about that. And then also, I'm catching up now on below deck down under because there
Starting point is 00:04:36 are a few episodes into the season. And the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City have already come and gone. Now, I feel like this did not get enough fanfare that we were getting the reverse perspective. And it's like, okay, you guys turn on the show. It's happening. It's go time. It's already, you know, I just watched the season premiere and it's like kind of a thrill to see from the other direction. A lot of people have been pointing out that the women said on Salt Lake that Heather was like worse on the boat than she came across, like in terms of how she dealt with the crew. We're seeing a little bit of that. I mean, Daisy, Daisy in the radio, all crew, all crew, we're missing a nipple cover. I never thought I'd hear her say that.
Starting point is 00:05:21 It's fun, though. It's fun to see from the other perspective. So we'll catch up on below deck down under, you know, in the next couple weeks. There's a lot going on. But Fanderpump Rules, not at the top of my list. I got to say, and I went into the season with an open mind. I, you know, have interviewed a few of them. I just wanted it to be better.
Starting point is 00:05:43 I wanted it to feel more like a discovery. Because when you think about some of the best new shows, it's like Southern hospitality. That was a show where for a few, a couple seasons, it felt like this hidden gem, where it was like, I don't know how many people are watching this, but those of us that are, we're being fed. I mean, think about Summerhouse. We're going to get into it in just a second, I promise. Summerhouse in season 10.
Starting point is 00:06:11 The first couple seasons of Summerhouse, it was like the runt of the litter on Bravo, and those shows take time. And with Vanderpump Rules, it's just like, I don't know. I don't know. And I want to feel like I know, but I just don't. And I can't lie to you guys and say that I know when I don't.
Starting point is 00:06:29 But let's talk about Summerhouse. Now, we are just a few episodes into the season. And first off, before we dive into the apology dune of it all and the mess that is Kyle and Amanda, I want to give a little shout out to the newbies on Summerhouse so far this season because I feel like they are really jumping in feet first. They're embracing their roles on the cast. And I feel like they are not afraid to sort of like be getting into the mix a little bit in a way that I think on a short. on a show with the big cast, on a show with established personalities, it's really easy to fade into the background. And I think so far, Bailey, Levi, Mia, Ben, KJ, they're all doing a good job. I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:15 the fact that I remember all their names, three episodes into the season, that's impressive in of itself. I am, I'm not going to reveal how many episodes into a season. I've had to be like Googling people's names before, except below deck. That doesn't count. Like, I don't, I don't remember who the third stew is. Like, that's, that's not my job. Um, but this week on Summerhouse, we pick up where we left off at dinner, where Kyle has stormed off from the table after, um, you know, Sierra and Amanda are laughing at him because he, you know, apologized to the guys and whatever. And I love that Mia, one of our new ladies is like, wait, sorry, I, we're just going to like, sit here and keep eating our dinner and act like this is normal, what just happened? This is, this is not a
Starting point is 00:08:04 situation that I am familiar with. And I love when there's somebody new in the group that kind of is like, the voice of reason. And they're like, wait, what's going? I didn't realize. He just, he like slammed that. He yelled at his wife and we're just kind of like, okay, like, what's for dessert? It is, it's a strange thing. And I appreciate when we sort of acknowledge that. And we, we get a good fourth wall break later in the episode. on Summer House. But Kyle goes out to the porch and he's just like sitting in the porch chair muttering to himself like, fuck, bitch white. Like he's just like, ah, she never, ah, the way that he's talking to himself is like so, so crazy to me. And it really reminded me of the season of New Jersey
Starting point is 00:08:48 where Teresa and Danielle are like going at it like season nine maybe. And the season ends with like Teresa on the rocking chair on the portrait and she's like ah fuck and like that's just like a really juicy bleep that's what I like to see man that moment doesn't get enough love um but no Kyle's going through it and Carl does his duty and goes out to him and Kyle just like listening to Kyle complain about Amanda what's the opposite of something like never getting old it's like it was old the first time it happened and it's been older every time since he's like man I just can't even fucking apologize without even being crucified and Amanda doesn't care and she's never gone to bat for me. I'm always alone. And the whole thing, I mean, the whole issue throughout this episode is that
Starting point is 00:09:41 Kyle is, his messaging is that there's nothing I can say. I can't apologize. I can't do anything. Nothing I can do is ever going to be enough. It's never going to be received while. It's never going to be appreciated. And on the other side, you have Amanda saying, I have made it very clear. exactly what would be appreciated, what would suffice and what I want to see from him. And he is not willing to do that. And it all roots back to his drinking, his going out, his, you know, sort of unwillingness to, you know, understand that the lifestyle that he is choosing to really, really lean really hard into is not actually compatible with them being happy together. And obviously you and I and everybody listening knows that like the ultimate answer to this puzzle is just like get a fucking divorce. Like yeah, you're not compatible. It's been it's been years. But they're still at this point where it seems like they are both very, very aware of the fact that it's not working and very, very like understanding that they're not happy with the way things are right now. But like they're like two steps short of just saying like,
Starting point is 00:10:52 the fuck it, we're done. Because when they, when they kind of split up and Amanda is like, Amanda's hanging out with Jesse and Kyle's at the house. This is like later in the episode. But when, like one of the newbies is like, what would it take to make Amanda completely happy? And Kyle's like, man, probably, probably me to change. And I just don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I just don't know if that's like the vibe. and they're like, well, would you consider maybe cutting back even just like a little bit on your DJ commitments to make your wife more happy? And he's like, well, I mean, man, you know, I mean, we had problems before I was DJing. So it's like he's not quite saying no, but he's also very much not saying yes. he's acting like this is a complicated physics equation that he's been presented with of like would would you sacrifice any DJ time to fix your relationship and it's like yeah I don't know that one I can't I can't give a risk I couldn't possibly it's just it's clear that the effort is not going to be there and so it's like yeah it's time but the the peak of this episode is at the beach day
Starting point is 00:12:15 the summer house beach day is to me I don't know if this is just me I something about going to the beach on Summer House just kind of feels like boring. Like it never seems like anybody's really like living their best life at the beach. It never, like it always looks kind of cloudy and there's so much like grassy like terrain. And they're, I don't know. I mean, I'm not a Hampton's person. So maybe this is somebody else's like perfect ideal beach. I just am kind of like, I feel like I'd rather be at the house than at that beach.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Like, you have to schlep all your stuff and, like, make sandwiches. And then people are yelling over to the side at Apology Dune. But Apology Dune was really like the best part of this episode. Because Kyle, it knows that he's in the dog house. And he's like, Amanda, can I take you to the Apology Dune? and we get this flashback of all the different altercations and conversations and, you know, litigations that have happened at this June. And I really liked that.
Starting point is 00:13:28 That was a nice touch. But Kyle says, you know, we need to work on our communication. And Amanda's like, okay, so you know that I need you to get your drinking under control. Capish? Like, they've clearly had this conversation a hundred times. We've seen them have this conversation a hundred times. And Kyle is like, well, so I only drink what I'm social. And you've known since the beginning that I'm a social guy.
Starting point is 00:14:00 So at the end of the day, that's on you. Because you knew what you were getting into with me. And it's like, first of all, that's not like a good line of conversation anyway. That it's like, you knew I was social. And she's like, but bitch, like, you're going out and like cheating on me, essentially. Well, you have in the past. We don't know if he does now. But also, like, I just can't get out of my head throughout this whole thing of like, whether
Starting point is 00:14:26 I'm social or going out or whatever. Kyle is a 43-year-old man. Like, yeah, you were social 10 years ago when you met each other when you were in your early 30s and single. And now you are a man who is. likely in the second half of his life, I mean, look at the average age. And you still, you don't want to change a thing. You're not willing to change a thing. That's, that's actually the issue. It's not that Amanda knew 10 years ago that you were social. And the thing is also social is just not the same
Starting point is 00:15:04 as going out, partying, blacking out, staying out until 5 a.m., sleeping at fans' apartments, not responding to texts, you know, yelling at your wife when she asks you where you are. Like all of that stuff being lumped under the umbrella of like, I'm a social guy is just like, that is what the worst man you ever meet is going to try to sell you on. And I urge you, do not buy it. And Amanda is finally getting to the point where she's like, it's not going to work for me. You know, I'm not going out with you and that shouldn't change your faithfulness. and then he the best part, the coyote crash out.
Starting point is 00:15:41 And he's like, for days, for weeks, for months, you don't ask me a single question. We're just not compatible. And Amanda, you're driving me to the drink. That is a crazy sentence to say. You're deriving me to the drink? First of all, like, like saying like, the drink to me is how like pirates talked about rum in the 1700s. It's like, oh, me, matey, she loves the drink. Like, what, it's driving me to the drink?
Starting point is 00:16:14 I mean, it's just a crazy accusation. It's like, get your shit together and don't blame it on her. He can't, he can't get out of his own way in this conversation to just say, hey, it seems like we're not happy, we're not compatible, like maybe that's enough. Maybe that's, maybe that's all we have to say. And him trying to drag, late at, you know, when he comes to bed and he's trying to drag her for getting high and comparing that to him going and drinking and staying out for, you know, until 5 a.m. And she's like, look, I don't smoke until 10 p.m. after I take the dogs out. So you have all day to talk to me. That's an interesting. I mean, like, you can talk to somebody when they're high. It might not be like coherent. I just, it's like watching every one of their interactions. Like, obviously I have thoughts.
Starting point is 00:17:08 and it's interesting to like dissect, but also it's just like the highest level obvious that they should, that they aren't compatible and shouldn't be together. So it almost is like the details are a little irrelevant. I did the moment though where Sierra's talking to Amanda like quite frankly about the situation. And I thought this was kind of an important moment,
Starting point is 00:17:28 kind of like the most real we've gotten, where Amanda is saying she doesn't know if she would be good enough for someone else. And hearing her say that, it makes me sad, but also it makes me understand a little bit of where the actual like struggle for her is with the decision-making piece of like, do I leave this relationship, what comes next for me? Because she has spent the last 10 years in this like vacuum echo chamber of like, this is my relationship, this is my life, this is all I kind of know.
Starting point is 00:18:08 They've been on this crazy roller coaster together of summer house and getting famous and, you know, business and life and work and marriage and all of this expectations and attention. I can see how it would sort of put you in this mindset of like, I don't know anything else. I've been told all these things. I'm going to yell that for how messy the apartment is and me being lazy and yada, yada, yada. Are those the type, like, are those things about me that would make it impossible for me to find someone else? and Sierra's like, bitch, I could find Amanda a husband in a month. And I believe that's true.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Now I don't think Amanda wants a husband in a month. I hope she doesn't want a husband in a month. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your freedom. But I thought it was interesting to hear. So we'll see what happens. You know, West is, I think, slowly making his way out of probation with Sierra. I'm noting with interest.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I'm watching. I'm keeping up. I just, I want them to have fun together. You guys know how I feel about that. So good, so good. First, I just want to say, these. women all look amazing. The red gowns, there's so many sparkles and beads and feathers and
Starting point is 00:20:51 jewels up on that stage. The Potomac women are really like turning out these reunion looks season after season. Like they might not all be to your like personal taste. Like there have been some like hideous dresses on the Potomac reunion stage. But I love the like the bar of glamour that they have set for themselves and that they are really consistently living up to it, even if sometimes the taste level is a little funky. And it's so funny to compare to like, for example, what like the Orange County cast would wear to a reunion. It's just like a different planet.
Starting point is 00:21:30 And I love being on Planet Glamazon with the Potomac ladies. But it is diabolical that these reunion set designers have these women. in their sumptuous, vibrant, gorgeous red dresses, ruby red, glistening off the screen, sitting on these green and white striped couches, looking like they are sitting on like a beach chair at a country club. When the overall theme is Colorado, the vision isn't cohesive and the vision isn't good. and it is so upsetting to me that these women are having to sit on that fucking ugly couch when they are wearing dripping in elegance in their red looks. Also, why are we doing Christmas colors?
Starting point is 00:22:25 If they're wearing red, put them on a white couch. Or like, perhaps like a light blue or you could even go with like a gray or even, I mean, God forbid like a lavender. You could play with the color story. Red and green is Christmas, and it looks silly. Green and white. I don't understand. These women are giving us so much, and that's what they're giving back to them.
Starting point is 00:22:57 A green and white striped couch? Fix it. Fix it. I don't want to see that. It's ugly. It hurts my eyes. But the women look great. Wendy looks great.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Wendy's here to talk about it. they start this reunion. We finally get the Wendy and Eddie footage that they, you know, picked up cameras for. And it's Wendy and Eddie at their house like a week after the arrest. And Wendy is putting on her softest voice where she's like, yeah, you know, like, it's crazy. It's been a week. It felt like a dream. And when Cameron said, where's mommy?
Starting point is 00:23:38 That was the hardest thing. she is putting on a performance. And I don't, I mean, I don't blame her. Like, you kind of have to. The fact that Wendy is at this reunion, I guess I applaud her for it. I mean, I don't know if I applaud her legal strategy,
Starting point is 00:23:57 but she's in a tough spot. And we talk a bit about the Wendy and Eddie stuff in this first part. Andy says we're going to get to it more later. But when he's asking her about the shit-eating grin that she has in her mugshot. She's like, well, the guy taking my picture was being nice to me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Okay, sweetie. And I love, it's so funny because we just watched the Karen Huger, Andy sit down special, where he's like really getting into some of the nitty gritty details about the conditions in her jail and what she was wearing and eating and going to the bathroom and all that. And that didn't like hit so hard with me because I, I was like, yeah, I've, like, seen a picture of a jail before, whatever. But the way the women with Wendy are shocked to find out that she spent a full night in jail after her arrest, they're like, oh, my God, a full, a full night? Like, until, until it was light outside the next day?
Starting point is 00:24:59 Did you go to the bathroom? I can't remember who said it, but somebody goes, were there people in your, in your jail with you? It's like I say if they put Wendy in a private jail. Like, yeah, there's people in the jail. I think they probably meant in like a holding cell or something. It's just so funny. I mean, like, people in this type of circle are not used to being so closely acquainted with the specifics of jail. And it's illuminating.
Starting point is 00:25:34 It's a little scary. I mean, you could tell, like, even when Giselle comes out on the stage and Andy tells her that she's going to be sitting next to Wendy, she's a little bit like, for the whole day. Because I think these women really, whether or not they are positive or negative on Wendy, I mean, for example, like obviously Ashley has a lot more smoke for Wendy than some of the other women do in the cast right now and has made a lot more public comments about the charges against her, all of this stuff. It's clear that all of them feel a little bit just like, what am I supposed to do with this
Starting point is 00:26:09 person with this situation. Am I, I mean, obviously when she's talking about her, her kids' feelings about it and reactions, like, as a mother, you're going to feel like, oh my gosh, that's my worst nightmare. As a friend, you obviously want things to be okay. But also, like, I feel like for a lot of these women, they're kind of like, so it really seems like you did some crimes. And I don't feel like I should be coming off as, like, too supportive, you know, It's tricky, and I think, you know, having to navigate that, I don't envy them.
Starting point is 00:26:46 But it's a pretty good first part of the reunion. I think it's off to a good start. You know, Stacey gets toasted for her, for being named one of the television performances of the year. And I love how the women are able to, like, simultaneously give her her flowers for that and be like, well deserved. Giselle says she was happy about it because it was a positive thing for the show after, you know, after Karen's arrest and after Wendy's arrest and who's going to get arrested next? Like, it was nice to have some like positive energy. But then at the same time, they can also kind of clock that it's being called a performance and is that reflective of Stacey not necessarily being her honest, true, authentic self with the ladies. And I love that Stacey's justification, because they're talking about the QVC videos of her that have gone viral. And she's like, well, you know, I am just who I am all the time.
Starting point is 00:27:45 And that's why people love me on this show. That's why people love me in those QVC videos. And everybody's like, babe, the QVC videos are a paid performance. That was your job to show up and act like you. like this ugly ass sweater to sell it a QVC. So if you're trying to convince us that you're being your authentic self saying I'm exactly who I was when I was hawking those ugly sweaters, maybe then I just think you have bad taste. If you thought this, if you weren't acting when you thought the sweaters were cute, then maybe you just don't have taste. Now, I love Stacy.
Starting point is 00:28:22 I also love where Andy asks her if, um, if she's worried about how sometimes on housewives being a fan favorite can kind of go to your head and get you into trouble down the line. He's like, are you worried about that? She's like, absolutely not. And you know, I think that next season, if there is a next season for me, she is putting on the best, like, fake pageant, humble vibe and the way that the women are just kind of like, this bitch, okay, yeah, whatever. You kind of just have to give it to her, though, because she just lets it slow,
Starting point is 00:28:59 hide right off her back. And the way, the, the clip that has kind of gone viral of when, when Wendy just does the, the slow, okay, this, the head, the head turn. We have to, like the robot. Okay. Hey, hey, hey, Stacey. Mm-hmm. I'm so, if you're listening on audio, that was probably interminable, but man, it was,
Starting point is 00:29:28 you know the vibe. Stacey with the slow head turn, God, she just gets me. Angel's whole montage is so tough. I mean, just being reminded of basically from start to finish, what a difficult season she had. I mean, I respect that she's there. I respect that she's trying. The catfish thing, I feel like we're not really getting anywhere. I still laugh at her being like, you know, well, just now, you know, our interactions have, they've devolved in a mercurial nature.
Starting point is 00:30:05 It's like, is she getting paid by the word, by the vowel? Like, enough with the SAT words. It's not working. It's not, it's not funny. What is funny is being reminded of her referring to Wendy's asshole lips and Forrest Whitaker eyes. That read still goes so crazy to me. And she's like, no, you know, well, it wasn't about her appearance. it was about a specific expression that she made
Starting point is 00:30:35 that was similar to an expression that Forrest Whitaker makes. It's like, okay. I don't know about that, but Wendy is locked and loaded. Because she's not just going to take it on the chin. She's not just going to get mad. She says, so if I called you James Earl Jones, would that be wrong? Oh my God. When Andy's like, now James, let's leave him.
Starting point is 00:31:02 And Stacey goes, may he rest in peace James Earl Jones now I hate to say I don't know if I should say this but in the moment I kind of see it Stacy
Starting point is 00:31:18 not Stacy when they made the comparison I could see the James Earl Jones and I love James Earl Jones I mean iconic actor the voice of Mufasa, the voice of Darth Vader? There's a Broadway theater named after him. Angel should be so lucky.
Starting point is 00:31:41 But I'm enjoying, of course, we end off with Ashley a little bit. And I love when people have been dragging Ashley all season for just like being messy. I'm like, yeah, what else is new? But when Andy goes, Ashley, I have a whole stack of questions for you about you being messy. And her response is just, Lais de la bantam roulet, Andy. Where did that come from? Okay, Creole Queen. Take me to New Orleans. I'm going to New Orleans in a couple weeks, and so Ashley's really getting me in the spirit.
Starting point is 00:32:14 She's really getting me in the spirit. But no, we leave off with, you know, Ashley talking about her Zen Wen in the pen comment that she made at one of her, you know, just iconic live singing performances. And, you know, she and Wendy are going back and forth. And Ashley says this thing about how she doesn't vilify her accomplishments like Wendy does. And Wendy goes, and that's because you don't have none.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Which, you know, classic greed, Wendy, four degrees, you know, four degrees, how many charges. It's, you know, I don't know how we wait these things. But Ashley comes back with a devastating blow to leave us off for the episode. She goes, well, I have one social security number. And that is one that I think is tough to come back from because the thing is with Wendy, it's like she, I, she's showing up and she's answering questions and she is not afraid clearly to speak up and throw out digs. but I think when it comes to the accusations or barbs being made about her legal situation, she probably can't say much. She probably can't really go down that path.
Starting point is 00:33:35 So if Ashley's going to be tossing out, I have one social security number. I don't think Wendy can really get into a rebuttal. I mean, we'll see. We'll see next week. Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm enjoying. I think this season of Potomac ended really strong. this reunion is off to a good start. And that might be more than I can say for Beverly Hills,
Starting point is 00:33:58 but I don't know, Beverly Hills, I still, I still am in a position of, like, mostly enjoying week to week, but thinking that the season is just kind of fine overall. We, of course, are in the wake of Amanda's manifestation moment dinner. And we start with her, you know, Rachel Zoe and Doreen and Kyle are still in the Hamptons. But Amanda's debriefing with her, with her man. And she's like, you know, anyone else in my life would jump at the opportunity for a free journaling session with me. And to have the chance for even just five minutes to get a little piece of my money queen expertise. And these women, when I offered them this life-changing opportunity for the low, low price of free last night, they didn't show up. It's annoying. And it's so
Starting point is 00:34:50 interesting to me in this moment because we've talked a lot about Amanda so far this season and how it seems like she has a problem reading the room. It seems like she has a real issue knowing and understanding what is going to land with the women that she's talking to. And for her to say these women clearly don't take me seriously, they don't respect what I do, it's interesting to see her being able to pick up on that. I mean, not that it should be that hard to pick up on because I would say they're being pretty obvious about it. But like to show that she has that perception sort of after the fact, but that in the
Starting point is 00:35:38 moment it doesn't feel like she is able or maybe willing to see that and adjust her strategy. That she's like, you know, I deliver. at this beautiful manifestation moment, and they just couldn't take it seriously. It's like, maybe you should have realized ahead of time that the beautiful manifestation moment that you were delivering to them was not something that they wanted. Or, I mean, really needed, but like, wanted. That's just not, that wasn't the activity that you should have planned for that group.
Starting point is 00:36:12 And I get that that's your business and that's great. But like, these women are not, the women on this show are not like sad, women living at home in the middle of nowhere who want financial freedom, but don't realize that the way to get financial freedom probably isn't giving some lady on Instagram $3,000 for a course on financial freedom. Kathy Hilton doesn't need to hear that. So I'm, I just would love, I mean, Erica has a sit down with Amanda later in the episode where I think she actually kind of gives Amanda some good advice about owning things and being honest. But also, she's like, bitch, at the end of the day, we want to hear about the cult.
Starting point is 00:36:52 So tell me about the cult. And we hear about the cult. And Amanda's talking about how, you know, she was in this church situation where somebody, you know, is very controlling and she, you know, had to be secretive to get out of it. Now, some might say that, you know, she was a part of one grift as part of the church where you're giving your money. And now she's taking other people's money to tell them. How they can make money. Now, I want to tread lightly here, because I don't, you know, to each their own, you can pay for a course on whatever you want. You know, people are out here paying for courses on,
Starting point is 00:37:30 you know, being a Somali or, you know, learning a language. If what you want to pay for a course on is learning how to be a money queen yourself one day, that's great. But I would say that Amanda is, perhaps she has claimed her own financial freedom at the expense of some other people's financial well-being. I would say that. I would love to dig into that a little bit more maybe in future episodes. I don't know if we will. But it is interesting. It feels like maybe there has been a little bit of a production conversation with Kyle and Erica about maybe trying to bring Amanda into the fold a little bit more because we see this FaceTime conversation. between Kyle and Erica, where Kyle's like, I just feel like the women are being really hard on Amanda. And, you know, maybe she's a little clunky about it. Maybe it's not the perfect delivery, but like, at least she's trying.
Starting point is 00:38:30 And then Erica kind of going with Amanda and giving her this like, you know, free advice about how to, you know, win friends and influence people. And it's like, it does feel like a little bit like, okay, this was a producer pulling them to the side of being like, hey, so we're like seven episodes into the season, and if we keep going so strong on this like Amanda storyline, there's not going to be much left by the second half. And so I'm wondering if this is like a little bit of attempted course correction between production and some of the women and Amanda. I don't know that it's going to ultimately work because it seems like Amanda maybe does not make it to the end of filming. But it's interesting to watch kind of in real time. I also, I did really like the scene with Bose and Sutton this episode, partially because I thought it was funny how they were making fun of Amanda, you know, manifesting, opening the time capsule at the Beverly Hills Park. But I also liked just Bose kind of saying how she's seeing a different side of Sutton this year and they did not get off to a great start last year. But it feels like they are having kind of a randomly fun connection this season. And I like when I like when people get along sometimes. I don't know. Do I? But anyway, the end of the episode is interesting because we get a Denise Richards appearance.
Starting point is 00:39:50 And we get filled in a little bit on what's going on with Denise and her divorce, which I kind of forgot that this was like something that we were caring about. But it turns out, you know, there's all of this messiness and allegations between Denise and Aaron, who of course we haven't seen really on the show in several years now, Aaron at least. But this conversation about Denise revealing that her relationship with Aaron was abusive and there's this photo of her with a black eye that is just like really brutal to look at. And this kind of is the segue into Erica revealing that between when she left Tom and now that she was in a relationship that also was physically abusive and that she. had not told anyone about this situation, but that she had, you know, left and gotten herself out. And, man, I mean, it really was, I found it, you know, quite impactful to hear Denise and Erica
Starting point is 00:41:00 connecting on this. I mean, obviously, Denise is not somebody who has always been, you know, the easiest to understand or to sort of, you know, figure out on this show. But in this moment she seems like she's in a really good place. I mean, she's talking about her, her facelift that she had and she got her boobs done three weeks before the facelift. And, you know, but sort of talking about this situation with Aaron in a way that feels very, like, level-headed and almost like, almost like, it seems like she's in a good place. And, you know, a few years ago, I mean, seeing Denise show up to that, you know, Kathy Hilton party with the jacket on upside down. I don't know that I thought we would see Denise, like, in a good,
Starting point is 00:41:42 place on this show, you know, like in the future. And so obviously I'm not, you know, happy to see what she went through. But it's nice to see her seemingly kind of like on the other side of it and doing well. And I want the same for Erica. And I, you know, you can tell that Sutton in that moment, she had no idea that Erica went through this or what's going to share it. And you could see that she was really taken aback. And I think just like knowing, having that, you know, realization that your friend that you've had in your life was going through something that you weren't aware of is really powerful and is relatable to a lot of people. And so it was, it was kind of tacked on to the end of the episode, but I thought it was really an interesting
Starting point is 00:42:30 sort of additional texture to a lot of the stuff that's going on this season. And I, I was glad we got to see that. And I think that was a, nice way to kind of not necessarily close the loop on Denise's story because maybe we'll see her again in the future. You know, maybe there will be another, you know, Cuckoo Bananas chapter in the Denise Richards saga. But it was nice to kind of see her in a more positive light, I think, than maybe she has been on the show in recent years. This episode is brought to you by Redfin. Starting point is 00:44:28 Your next obsession is waiting. Watch only on Prime. Okay, we should talk briefly about Southern Charm before we got to Trey Arts. The group is going to Mexico, and things are not. not super settled between Sally and Charlie. This is, this situation is just like giving me a headache at this point in the season. I'm like invested in it, but I'm also like, dear God, girls, get it together. Because Charlie tells Sally that she got drinks with Craig again.
Starting point is 00:45:06 And we see this flashback where she's telling him, you know, like, I don't know where this is going, but I only see something serious with you. And it's like, okay, we've gotten drinks. drinks twice and we're talking about something serious. Charlie, you're in danger. But Sally is confused. She's like, I feel confused. This feels like a slap in the face to our friendship. That why didn't you tell me about this? Why didn't you tell me about it before it was happening? Why wasn't I getting like the heads up? And Charlie's like, well, you know, I was trying to figure out my feelings. And Sally's like, right, but we're best friends. And normally, we figure out our
Starting point is 00:45:45 feelings together. And so the fact that if it was some random guy on the street, you would tell me all about it and exactly what you're, you know, thinking and what's going on. But because it's Craig, you didn't tell me. It's not just because you're figuring out your feelings. It's because you knew that I would be kind of pissed about it. I, I, like, agree with Sally, but then I also am like, Sally. It's tough because it's like, I, we've all been in that position of like, you didn't get the guy you wanted and then now there's he's back in the picture with someone else and you're it's not that you ever had like dibs on the guy but you still feel weird about it like I understand that position but Sally is just like kind of a hard person to root for Sally's just like kind of a hard person
Starting point is 00:46:28 to root for especially when she is has spent the last two episodes like fully in heat for Austin it's just like it's it's a lot to watch because they get to Mexico So Sally and Charlie are sharing a suite, which is like, perfect, no notes. And Sally's like, I think she should room with Craig and not tell anyone about it. It's like, but I'm zing. But then she says, you know, I'm not really planning on sleeping in here. And I, my eyes rolled so far because I feel like we have all known that girl who has a crush or like thinks that she might have a thing with someone and is like so performative about it
Starting point is 00:47:15 where it's like you're like begging people to ask it's like yeah like I had a pretty crazy time at the party last night oh oh what no oh my god no like it was like so great like yeah like we we were like hanging out you guys like don't you want to know about it it's like nobody actually cares she's like yeah like pretty nice room I probably won't even be sleeping in it though Hmm? Oh yeah, I said I probably won't even be sleeping in it, though. Because I'll be sleeping with us. It's like, yeah, we get it.
Starting point is 00:47:46 We get it. You want to fuck Austin. You literally said two episodes ago, like, I want his dick. Enough. Enough. It literally makes my, like, makes me uncomfortable. But then Austin is, like, conflicted because Audrey, before they broke up was, like, complaining about how close Sally was getting to him.
Starting point is 00:48:07 And so he's like, I feel like it would be. slap in the face to Audrey and, you know, I, I don't know if, if, if that's like the right move. And Sally's like, I mean, Audrey, I didn't think Audrey would care because the whole time all I was hearing was that Austin and Audrey's relationship was like not important and that he wasn't even sold on her. So now that they're not even together, that he would be considering like Audrey's feelings over like jumping my bones in Mexico. Like every, it's like every interaction that Sally has, it's like she can't fathom that sleeping with her or getting with her or like, you know, winning her is not like the number one priority of first Craig earlier in the season and now Austin. And it's just tough to watch.
Starting point is 00:48:56 You know, they're on this deck at Liz Taylor's house. Sure. And Charlie's telling Craig that she talked to Sally and he's like, okay, yeah, whatever. And Sally's like, I just want all the girls to be transparent with each other. And it sucks that we can't seem to do that. Girls, don't you wish we could all be transparent with each other? It's like, Sally is just like the quintessential like, pick me girl who also wants to be the girl's girl. But deep down, you know she's not.
Starting point is 00:49:27 But it kills her to not be like seen as that. It's tough. And then Vanita and Craig get into it at the end. And that I really just like barely have time for. In fact, I don't. Let's move on. Let's talk about traders, shall we? Okay, so we're getting down to the end.
Starting point is 00:49:47 And I, you know, the last couple weeks of traders, my investment level has been tippen just a little bit with the housewives gone. It's hard to be as locked in. But this week I thought was more interesting because in the wake of Stephen Coletti going home, which like, who cares? It suddenly feels like there are not very many people left. and everybody has like a strong feeling about somebody they think is not a traitor or somebody that they are just like so sure of but they really aren't. And specifically watching like Mora deal with the idea that Rob could be a traitor, I don't think I necessarily realized until this episode how much Mora is like in the bag for Rob being a faithful.
Starting point is 00:50:40 And she is like so sure about it to the point where throughout the episode she's like freaking out that Natalie and Tara might be voting for Rob. She's like, no, no, no, I'm so sure that Rob is not a traitor. That would be the biggest mistake you could make if you vote him out. The 10 is I really do trust Rob. And if I found out at the end that he weren't a traitor, that would go me. I got a little messy. I'll cut it out now. But Kristen Kish gets murdered.
Starting point is 00:51:16 And the crazy thing to me is that, like, in this game, I feel like there have been so many instances where somebody gets murdered and you base kind of the next banishment off of like who did it, who is that murder suspicious on? Like, who did that person suspect? Who did that person accuse? And then they got murdered. Now maybe the person that they accused is the murder. And Kristen set this up for them so nicely last episode because she was saying Eric, Eric's is sussing me out. He was too quiet at the roundtable. And if I get murdered tonight, I bet it's Eric.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Kristen gets murdered. And Eric does not get one single vote at the roundtable. I don't even think anybody brings up his name. Eric is weirdly like gliding through this episode. Barely anybody's talking about it. And, you know, we have, you know, after breakfast, you know, there are a couple people sort of thinking about Eric, like Mark specifically has not forgotten what Kristen said. But it's not like enough to actually cast real danger onto him. And I just don't quite understand why.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Because at this point in the game, there's only seven people left, something like that. And it's like, if you even have like an inkling that it could be somebody, vote for them. Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, we've got Tara and Natalie and Mora in this weird, like, back and forth of yelling at each other. And it's like, we could have avoided that and just voted out Eric. And he would have been a traitor. But instead, they vote out Natalie. She gets all but her own vote, which goes to Tara. And it's like, well, that was a waste.
Starting point is 00:53:07 I mean, I'm not, like, devastated about Natalie going home. But, like, in terms of the gameplay, now we're going into the finale. and we still got two traders left. So, I mean, it's, it's going to be tough. I think especially because Rob has done such a good job of convincing Mora, he, you know, he and Mark are on a really good page where after the roundtable, they're like laying down on the pool table to discuss their strategy. I mean, hot, but also like, are you laying down on the pool table?
Starting point is 00:53:36 There's a couch right there. I have a hard time believing in the next episode. I might be like so wrong. Who knows? Like are they really all of a sudden just going to be like, you know what? Actually, I do take Rob as a traier. But I'm out.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I mean, I feel like this is Rob's game to lose. I don't know if Eric will be there with him. But it just seems like if he doesn't win this game, it will be because he kind of like messes up next week, not because anybody is really on his tail right now. which is, I mean, it's just, it's frustrating as a viewer when it's like, the answer is right there. And you're really not going to just kind of like hone in on it? I do have to say, I have been sort of like half watching a lot of the missions the last few episodes.
Starting point is 00:54:24 But this week's mission was so fucking funny. This carousel, marigot round amusement park ride thing that they have that's spinning around. And when Alan explains it and he says, but for medical reasons Tara and Eric will not be riding the carousel so they have like crash test dummies
Starting point is 00:54:47 wearing wigs they have to put in their place on the carousel because the whole thing is it's like a game of musical chairs basically and the first ones back are still in the running for America's next top shield and so there has to be like a placeholder
Starting point is 00:55:03 so Tara and Eric have to like go find the bag of money and then once they do, they have to put their dummy back in the seat. It's just like so funny to me. And like they never explain like what the medical issues are. I mean, I guess, you know, getting dizzy. Maybe they're vertical. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Whatever. I just love like the specific level of effort they put into those dummies because it's like enough effort to add the wigs. So it's just like the most hilarious visual, but not any more detail than that. Like they're not putting faces on them. They're not, they could put like photographs. of them onto like a, you know, face, whatever. Nope, just a wig.
Starting point is 00:55:42 And I love it. I mean, Tara Lipinski is having such a moment. The fact that Tara and Johnny have both made it to the finale and it's the Olympics right now, I mean, I'm living for it. I'm so happy for them, the besties. I mean, Tara's really going through it, though, because she and she and Natalie really get into it at the roundtable. and she's very emotional and she feels, you know, bad about banishing Natalie, but also bad about, like, the way that the roundtable went and just very, she says she feels attacked. And it's, it's tough to, she's crying. She's saying, you know, honestly, like, you can send me home tonight. I'm so upset. Like, protect Tara. Tara needs help. Tara needs our help. Get that girl out of there. I mean, they only have one day left. I also love earlier. earlier in the episode, when Mora is like genuinely confused about how she's made at this
Starting point is 00:56:40 heart, because she's like, well, I mean, I'm shit at the missions. I'm not even good at the game. And you're right, Mora, you're not. I mean, for all of the laughs that Mora has given me the season, she hasn't been right about one damn thing. And her being so wrong about Rob is like her biggest contribution to the game. I'm like, okay, well, thank you for the, thank you for the Irishness and the berets and pretty much nothing else. But that's where we're going to leave it for this week.
