Hey everyone. Welcome back to the Mention It All podcast. And thanks for tuning in to another Friday episode. We are barreling through these weeks here. I am recording this week a little. early because I am doing something very exciting this week. I might be in Las Vegas. I might be celebrating the opening of a hotel. Whatever's going on with that. I'll tell you about it next week. But I really only bring this up to say that Bravo has been dragging me through the mud with the scheduling

recently because I was saying, okay, I have to record early. I'm going to get, I'm going to watch the summer house reunion screener. And I'm going to, I'm going to be able to talk about it all. And I'll, basically there will be no difference of if I was recording on my normal time on Thursday afternoon. And then Bravo decided that there's going to be some big surprise at the end of the reunion part three. And they post it's Tuesday right now. They posted on the Instagram, you're going to want to watch those last couple of minutes very carefully. And I sit down and watch my little episode. I'm very grateful.

I get, I have gotten the episodes a bit early just so I can be, be, be here for all of you. And I sit down and the episode cuts off, I think like a minute early. This is probably so boring for you to hear about because in real time, in the world, this has already happened. You've seen whatever the end of the Summer House reunion part three is. And I haven't. And God damn it, I want to know.

And in real time, I also know. And I'm sure it's super exciting. And we will talk about it next week. But today we are going to get in to part three of the reunion up until about the 41 minute mark if you're watching without commercials. We're going to talk about Atlanta. We're going to talk about Rhode Island a little bit. The finale this week already.

Well, next week, this week? I don't know. We've got one more episode and then a reunion. Guys, I am not ready for Rhode Island to be over. And speaking of shows being over, we are also going to touch just a little bit on Southern hospitality because their reunion wrapped up this week. I got cut up.

Now we're a part three of this reunion. And we've been teased that the Meeha bombshell. is going to enter the Summer House Reunion Villa at some point.

And we will get there. But I love the real time of Sierra having her on FaceTime and being like, stay by the phone in case I need you. It's like, it's like, Diva, you better be on call for the next hour. This is like the pit. If we have a trauma incident, if something goes down in the pit, I don't care that you're on night shift. You better be ready to come in at any moment.

You know what's crazy about the pit? Is there always calling people in when it's not there? shift and I would be like lose my fucking number. If my shift starts at 6 p.m., I will be there at 557, maybe 5.54. When I used to work retail, they would be like, you should be there five minutes early. I'm like, fuck off. You don't pay me enough to get an extra five minutes of my time. No, but Miha's on call, but we don't end up needing her.

I do, we get a little moment when everybody's like sitting back down. Bailey sits down with Amanda on the couch before everybody else is back out there. And she's like, babe, I love you and I'm worried about you. And she says that she doesn't trust West at all. And Amanda is like, well, you know, yeah, like I totally get that. But we've had conversations that make me feel better about it. And I actually, I liked this moment because I think it's important. And Kyle also is kind of bringing this energy.

throughout, but especially in part three, where like, Amanda is being taken to task from a lot of different angles in ways that are totally deserved and totally, you know, she's done it to herself. But I also think it's probably helpful to make her feel like, hey, we still want you to be like, okay. And what you did is still fucked up. Or West is still not going to treat you right. So I thought there was just like a nice little, it's not Bailey being like, I'm team Amanda. Nothing has been wrong.

She's like, girl, like, can we just like, woman to woman? What's going on? How are we doing? And Amanda's not really in a position to like fully, I would say, like, engage with that type of concern being shown for her. Which I think almost just makes it more important than it's being shown because it's like, if Amanda can't process that, then like, that's kind of her problem. It's not that nobody's throwing her a life raft. It's not that she has no, you know, nobody who cares about her. But then we really dig in and Andy starts asking about some of the timeline stuff of Amanda and West. And this is like a pretty meaty section of the

episode where Andy's getting a little more granular. Now, for better or for worse, the entire reunion, and Lindsay brings this up at the end, the entire reunion has pretty much been hijacked by The West and Amanda of it all. Last week, we got, you know, a little bit of Ben talking about hugging his dad in Australia, Jesse talking about his music. Go Jesse Solomon. Joe Bradley booked Jesse Solomon at a venue in Charleston in the reunion when Andy's like, and was that a tough booking?

I love a little crossover moment. No, but it is to me unfortunate what Lindsay says that this season, it was great season, it was a big season and it has been so thoroughly upended and overtaken by this narrative that like every all three parts of the reunion are essentially like mostly about West and Amanda but unfortunately there's really just no there's no way around it because it's it's not just the elephant in the room it's like the room became a giant elephant and we're all stuck inside of it um we're like you know pinocchio inside of the whale is that what happens in Pinocchio? I haven't seen it Pinocchio is not a favorite of mine. But anyway, back to Andy asking about the timeline. So West says they started hanging out with his friends a lot, him and Amanda, in February and March. And through that, through, I guess this was the process of him showing her the streets, he started seeing a different side of her.

And he said it was a treat for him to see Amanda, like, incredibly happy. And I also like the idea of Amanda being incredibly happy. Wow, that sounds like it would be so nice. After so many years of being, you know, down in the dumps, stuck in the bed, hiding on her piles of clothes in her apartment. But no, Amanda says, Andy's like, was there a specific moment when you realized that this was happening? And she's like, no, no, there was no specific moment.

But there was one night specifically when West was like, am I crazier? Is there like something here? And then things really took a turn from there. And I'm like, so there was a specific moment, which was the specific moment that you just described. So why are you saying there was no specific moment? It's, she's, they're tripping over themselves in like specific wording and, you know, verbiage where it's like, I don't know if it's because they're not being honest or because they're lying about things still, or if it's just because they, they know that they're both in the

doghouse so bad and they just kind of can't get the words out. But it just feels like throughout this whole reunion and throughout this conversation about different timeline questions, like we're not really getting like a hundred percent clarity. It's like when you, when you're, if you're ever talking to AI, which I don't like to spend a whole lot of my time doing, but you're like,

you're asking it a direct question. You're like, okay, computer. What's, what is the, what is the, what is the, what, give me a recipe to make an apple pie.

And it's like, so, um, it sounds like, like you, uh, sounds like you want to make an apple pie. Uh, maybe, uh, maybe you want to consider throwing in some apples and some sugar. And I'm like, I said, give me the fucking recipe. I didn't say what could possibly be in a pie. I didn't say like, could you describe an apple pie to me? It's like, how much baking soda am I putting in the mixture? And it feels like with Amanda and West, they are stuck in this kind of feedback loop of like, yeah, so nothing was happening.

But when we realized that something was happening, we decided that we needed to figure out what was happening. So when we made this statement, it was to say that what was happening was us figuring out what was happening. And then what happened from there was, was we started to figure out what was happening. And so then what was happening after that was that something was happening. but we don't really know what was happening. And so what's happening now is,

I guess we're figuring it out. What's the answer? I'm more confused than when we started. Because, you know, they both, they're like absolutely not. There was no affair that was happening over the summer. And, you know, Mia is calling out these moments from the summer watching back where it felt like there was something going on. And I think the thing is there's a, there's a distinct difference between how Amanda and West are interpreting questions

or choosing to interpret questions about their timeline of their viewing it from a purely physical standpoint plus like a verbal standpoint of did we decide that we had feeling for each other and that we were going to explore a connection. Like we're in fucking Love Island. And the answer to those questions, I mean, I believe them to a point that it's like, did they hook up in 2025? I'm willing to believe that they didn't. I don't know for sure.

Did they hook up last summer? I don't really think so. Was there an affair? Was it cheating? Probably not by like a textbook definition of the word. But when Mia's pulling up these moments where it's when the fight between Carl and Kyle is happening and Amanda is like super calm when she's with the girls, but then she sees West and she like breaks down and he's hugging her and kissing her on the head. And I remember talking about this and how it was this like really like vulnerable tender moment. And then another time when he's like holding her back from talking to Kyle, like those types of moments are indicators that there was a connection.

forming between them, whether or not it was explicitly stated, whether or not it was explicitly explicit in a explicit manner. The question is like, when was this stuff starting to bubble up? Who felt what? They both are saying that they didn't have a crush on each other. Amanda's adamant that she's not a cheater. And the girls are like, enough, enough. It makes it too easy when they can just.

say, Your Honor, I never cheated, case closed. Like, at the end of the day, and this is what I said at the beginning of the reunion, the timeline here of who touched what body parts when is not that interesting. Because it sounds like it was probably, you know, February, March, I don't know, not before the Super Bowl. Because this is something that I actually, I appreciated Kyle specifically asking about the thing that Brianna chicken fry, I'm sorry, I can't, Brianna chicken fry told Dave Portnoy at the Super Bowl that she heard West and Amanda

were an item that's, you know, has been brought into the mix here. And Amanda and West, both, they seem so like confused by where this would have come from or how this could have happened and that it's definitely a lie. And I, somebody, I can't remember who it was. on the couch. Somebody was like, why would Dave Portnoy lie? And I'm like, well, now, just because we don't believe West in Amanda doesn't mean that everybody else here is like a trustworthy actor, let's just say. But no, it does seem like even if the hard facts of, you know, who touched, you know, getting to a base or whatever, even if they're being honest about,

those things now, which it seemed it would be crazy if they weren't because it's like you're, I mean, for all intents and purpose, this is a court of law. You, you better put your hand on the Bible and tell Andy the truth. Because what is there to lose at this point? But to act like, it just feels like there are all these sort of like other more, maybe more like, you know, existential things, maybe a little bit more like vague things, just floating around that don't feel like they have been settled. And this Miha relationship is another whole part of it. Now, I expected this to be a little bit more like, you know,

witness for the prosecution. Miha takes the stand via FaceTime. We got some, you know, smoking gun receipt. It was a little bit more like, low-key than that, just because West kind of like got caught in a lie and then sort of admitted it, because he starts up by saying he was clear with Meeha that it was not an exclusive relationship in November or December. And it's like, well, first of all, we're talking about a larger swath of time than that because we're hearing about things that happened in early 2025 before season 10 was filmed.

We're hearing about stuff that happened in early 2026 after, you know, Kyle and Amanda had split up. It's a big gap of time. So for him to be saying, oh, you know, November, December, I'm like, in relation to what? But Sierra says that West sent Meeha flowers on Valentine's Day. Kyle says that Meeha is saying that they were exclusive this whole time. Sierra's like, I have the timeline. West flew out Mija to a Montana football game in January. and there's just a lot of,

there's a lot of information that they've received from her that clearly just paints a different picture of this relationship than West was hoping we would, you know, believe. And Amanda admits that she had some of this information, but not all of it. And then finally, West admits that Miha thought they were in an exclusive relationship. So, okay, and why did she think that?

who gave her that impression? Who might have told her that it was an exclusive relationship or certainly led her to believe that because then he's still denying that she was his girlfriend and it's like, well, if she says that you were calling her your girlfriend, then it kind of seems like she was your girlfriend.

Even if you were treating her like shit, it kind of seems like it meets the, I think it meets the definition. If somebody is like, I am your girlfriend and your answer is not, no, you're not, I guess, I guess it's love. It is, it is, love is love. Jesse also brings up, um, he spent time with Mija and West. He went to Montana with them.

And he didn't know that Mija wasn't on the same page about their relationship, implying that, implying that he didn't think it was an exclusive relationship and he didn't know that Maha thought it was, which, I mean, weird in and of itself. It's like, why, why is West, I mean, if you want to have like an open relationship, that's one thing. This to me just sounds like West wants to have a girlfriend, but also wants to fuck whoever he wants, which like isn't the same thing as like a healthy, open relationship dynamic. I don't know why we're all just like accepting that that's how West moves through the world. I'm like, this just feels a little bit icky. But

Jesse is emotional. He's upset with West for ruining the sanctity of the friend group, which, I don't know, like sanctity is a little bit. Like, you know, we've, we've been around the merry-go-round with a lot of these people. I mean, Carl and Lindsay used to be engaged. Like, I don't know, I don't know if this friend group is like, sacred, but it's, you know, it's important. Um, and then Andy asks, since you've expressed your feelings for each other, have the two of you been monogamous? And West says yes. And then it's like, oh, wait, wait, yes, no, wait.

Since the, since the statement, yes. Since the expressing the feelings, no. So I guess expressing the feelings, he's talking about that one specific moment for Amanda, where he asked, am I crazy? Is there something going on? He's like, am I crazy? Is there something going on? Put a pin in that. I have another girl texting me. Like, I mean, the whole thing is just kind of preposterous. But whatever. That's how West likes to handle his business. So Amanda's okay with it. I guess so am I. Kyle is, Kyle's really kind of like stepping up in this part of the reunion to, to, I think, sort of like assert his centrality in this conflict. because I think obviously, you know, West and Amanda are like this focal piece.

Sierra has been kind of the biggest, like, you know, public victim, whatever. But Kyle, Kyle really, he hits it out of the park with this one because he says he cares about Amanda. And that he, you know, even, you know, their marriage was bad. He admits that. And that for, you know, they were in this 10-year relationship and Amanda got out of it. and, you know, had said there was all this stuff that she didn't like about the way that, you know, he, she was small and, you know, suppressed her, you know, dreams and whatever. And that West has essentially listened to Amanda talk about all of that and then jumped in and effectively isolated her from all of these people in her life, all of her, you know, friends from the show and other people that I'm sure have started treating her differently. and that Kyle says that he was confiding in West about what was going on with him and Amanda.

And in February, he was texting West about how bad him and Amanda's sex life was while West was in Miami with Amanda on a dinner date. And West is like, yeah, okay, totally hear you on all of that. But that dinner in Miami wasn't romantic. and then Jesse Solomon's sniper from the side is like well if it wasn't romantic then why wasn't I invited because Jesse like lives in Miami

at least part of the time and West is like well right right right yeah I think you and I had dinner plans the next night and Jesse's like it just doesn't look good thank you Jesse thank you for your contribution I thought it was interesting and then West of course hops back into the lane of like

how could this all be happening swirling around me. What could have caused this? And he says that he felt really bad about not speaking to Kyle before everything went public and that it just got out of his control. And Andy, again, Andy, I think doing a good job in this part three of sort of like wrangling is like, right? But it was in your control. You could have just talked to him. And that's the whole thing with West and Amanda are, they're really using a lot of like passive voice in this reunion where they're talking. about, you know, feelings developing, things happening, you know, people being hurt. And it's like, at the end of the day, with almost everything that we're talking about, you are the one that has

hurt the people. You are the one that has acted on feelings you knew were likely to cause problems. You're the one who has decided to handle your business in a way that is causing all these problems. You're the one who didn't decide to reach out to Amanda or, you know, to Sierra or Kyle or Lindsay or whoever. All of these things are decisions that they're making. And even if a decision is fueled by emotion and, you know, we're not saying love. We're not using that word yet. whatever is like happening underneath the surface that's making you pushing you toward that decision like you still have to pull the trigger you still have to press post you still have to decide to you know fuck somebody you know you're not supposed to all of those things are

decisions and it's like I don't want to hear about like man it got away from me it's like yeah because you because it wasn't it wasn't important to you and Andy brings this up he says that he sees what people are really most upset about is the friend betrayal of of Sierra. And Amanda's like, I did a really shitty thing. Hey, direct, you know, not the passive voice there. She says, I did a really shitty thing, but the past tense. And Sierra goes, you're still doing a really shitty thing. And Andy kind of directs Amanda to talk to Sierra and be like, what is this?

How do you feel? What are you thinking? and she's you know she's kind of going through the talking points again it's been a crazy time she lost sleep over this thinking about the friendship I'm sorry taking ambien I guess um she's I'm fucked up but I'm deeply sorry it kills me to know that I've caused the pain and she's like actually it doesn't because you're here and you're doing fine and Sierra's not having any of it she gets really emotional which I actually like liked seeing from her in that moment um and she says if you were my friend you would have never said yes to West.

And also, by the way, he's with you to spite me. Mic drop. Period. It's hard to watch Sierra be, like, upset. But it's warranted, and I think it's, man, this whole reunion, it's just like, it's tough to watch. And he's bringing up how instrumental Sierra seemed to be in getting Amanda to do something about her marriage.

and, you know, Sierra's being really honest about, like, it hurt to see my good friend talk about how she didn't think she was worthy and putting herself down. And, you know, I wanted better for her. And Amanda's like, yeah. And I will walk away from this doing a lot of thinking and reflecting and mostly on what's important to me. Oh, so until now you haven't been focused on what's important to you, on what you want, on what, because did you hook up with West because you thought it was important to Sierra?

Like, I, she's like I can say sorry until I'm blue in the face. Jesse feels like he's losing a brother. Now, one of the funniest moments, though, is Andy asks West. Because at this point, everybody's emotional. Sierra's crying. Amanda's crying. Jesse and Carl have tears in their eyes. Everybody's going through it, except West.

West is just kind of like, yeah. Uh-huh. Well, I don't know. And so Andy goes, did you take a lot of beta blockers before this? Because you just don't seem emotional at all. And everybody else is like really dialed in emotionally right now. And he admits that he took a beta blocker, which is fine. But that he's also just really trying to stay composed because this matters to him. And even if it doesn't look like it matters to him, it does. Okay. I mean, whatever. Amanda says, Amanda is asked,

was it worth it? And just says, that's an impossible question. But I wish I could have both. And again, it's just like, okay, well,

you can't, Bailey being like, please say no, please say no, please say it wasn't worth it. Girl, girl, girl, we're rooting for you.

Again, it's just like there's, there's nothing she can say, really. And so then when Andy asks, if they, they're in love. And again, their answers are different in a way that I feel like is notable where West pretty much just shuts it down and says we're not using that word right now. It's like,

okay, so, um, no. And Amanda says, well, you know, we're, we're having conversations about if that could be where we're headed. So we'll see. And I just think like, If somebody asks if you're in love, and one person's answer is like, no, we are not. At the present moment, no. And one person's answer is like, not yet. Those are different. Amanda girl. Amanda girl.

Mandy. I don't feel good about this. I don't feel good about this. And Mia clarifies that they are exclusive right now. And they say yes. And Carl jumps in for one last, you know, hit. He goes, okay, so Amanda, like, you're, all of this is happening. You're hearing about meha.

You're, you know, seeing all the way he's handling things. And you still want to be with him after all those? Like, damn, girl, stand up. But she can't. West, West saying he wants to get back to their early days when they were just so happy, him and Amanda. And Andy's like six weeks ago.

Like the honeymoon period. That is so cringe. To have a, okay. And I, genuinely, I can relate to this. To have a friend who is dating somebody that you probably knew was not going to work out. And it's been like three months, two months. and they're like, oh man, it was so fun at the beginning. We had such a good time.

And it's like, bitch, this is still the beginning. You are still in Q1 of your relationship. You are having your two problems in Q1. You haven't even made it through a full earnings report. you're still, you're still assembling a team. You're still building the business. You can't make it through Q1 without having cold feet. You're not going to make it to your IPO.

You're not going to do not pass go. Do not collect $200. This, I mean, like when Carl and Lindsay had been together for less than a year and we're in couples therapy. I am not a couple's therapy expert. Maybe that's great for some people. to me it seems like maybe this just isn't going to work. And I mean, Kyle and Amanda are completely, Amanda and West are,

Amanda and West are completely like on a different tier than even Carl and Lindsay. It's just, it's not going to work. It's not going to happen. But we end, you know, we take a quick break. We come back and, you know, Kyle's crying and hugging Amanda. And man, I feel for Kyle.

Kyle, he's just like, you can tell that maybe more than anyone on this stage. Because, you know, people are mad, people are hurt, people are upset. That's totally. Kyle is just like really, I think, in shambles over this. Like he doesn't know how to really process this and how to like hold space for his feelings. it's tough to watch. And Lindsay kind of zooms in at the very end. And she goes, Andy, I feel like I haven't learned anything today.

I don't feel like I got any clarity. I don't feel like I have any answers to my questions. And it feels like Kyle and Amanda, feels like Amanda and West, you haven't spent any time thinking about this. and that all of these, all of these effects and consequences of your actions and the way that it's affecting all the different people in this room and, you know, not just people's feelings, but people's livelihoods and the future of this group, which of course, you know, we know as a whole ecosystem of this show and now a new show and, you know, all this stuff, you haven't thought about any of it. So, you know, when I was talking about how it feels like we've, you know, spent all this time figuring out our feelings and haven't figured anything out, it's not just about feelings, it's about like, what is the fucking plan here?

because their season wrapped up this week too. Overall, really solid season of Southern hospitality. It didn't feel, I would say, like, down the stretch toward the end, it felt like we were not maybe at, like, the top tier of this. show that we've seen in the past. Maybe just because I got a little tired of watching like Michaels and Molly and just felt like we were dealing with some of the same issues over and over again.

And I think over the course of the season, I realized that like Michaels doesn't quite do it for me. I don't think he's like a bad, I don't think he's like not good on the show. but I think he became a little too main character this season and specifically I think his age and his lack of maturity in certain situations really popped up more this season than it did in his first season and I'm like you know what I don't think he should be an AGM of Republic I think he should migrate to whatever that whatever the fuck that VIP client relations

role is, is it a demotion if you ask him? No, if you ask most other people, I would venture to say yes. But, you know, I think this is a show where on a basic level, it just works really well. The group feels lived in and authentic and it's funny, it's entertaining, it's dramatic. Like, I think that right now, the floor on Southern hospitality is pretty high. And I think that the ceiling is also very high. And they just didn't quite make it to that ceiling in the second half of this season. I think after the Dominican Republic trip, it kind of felt like we could wrap it up a little bit. I am really interested, though, to see, like, how this show continues to develop in terms of the relationships of the cast.

to Leva and to Republic and to this, you know, hospitality empire that we have down in Charleston, specifically with the end of this season and Joe Bradley being essentially kicked to the curb in terms of his potential business opportunities with Leva, where they've been talking about doing this, you know, bar, rooftop, whatever together. This is Joe's dream.

He feels like he's been kind of strung along. And he, you know, this season, his whole thing was like he had to prove himself to Leva because he disappeared for a year to be on tour with Maddie and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And in the last couple episodes of the season, Joe's like, you know, I asked chat GPT for the perfect things to say and I have my whole list of talking points. Like, well, maybe that was a sign that it wasn't going to go great. But he's presenting this whole thing to Leva about a rooftop where there's going to be wedding parties and live music and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. and Leva's reaction is just kind of like, what are you talking about? You don't know anything about anything.

Where's the business? Where's the budget? Where's the plan? And I understand why Joe is upset, but I also think it's a little bit like, I think we're encountering the line a little bit between real business and TV storyline business, where it's like, okay, is the idea here that it's going to, to be a real investment partnership where Joe is going to be a real key figure owner, investor, whatever, of this rooftop space?

Or is this something where for the show, it would make sense if Joe kind of graduates from being Joey bottles at the door to like Joey, you know, rooftops at the roof? and it kind of feels like Leva is choosing to pull the plug on the storyline of Joe being a business partner and is like at the end of the day I have like an actual business and so I'm going to do this thing in the way that I know is actually good for business and if Joe has a problem with that at the end of the day, it's like, okay. It's and, like, oh no, we're not going to have, you know, Joe Bradley's $10,000 to open this, you know, $2 million bar. Oh, no. Like, it's almost like a, I mean, the obvious comp is when we saw Lisa Vanderpump and Tom Tom, Tom back in the day. And remember,

Tom and Tom, I think, are both like 5% owners of Tom Tom, which is still a, you know, I think they invested like $50,000, something like that. It's not a totally nothing amount of money. It's not, it's not meaningless in terms of the ownership. But it's different than Lisa Vanderpump needs to find a partner to like open the fucking restaurant. And Joe Bradley, if anything, I think is probably in less of a financial position to really be like a meaningful partner.

I mean, he and, he and, they're talking about him. Maddie and where they're headed in their relationship. And he's saying that she's in a better position than him to potentially buy a house. And that maybe he would chip in if she bought a house. But like, so I don't think he has like, you know, $100,000 lying around to invest in a bar, maybe. But then Leva announces basically that they're doing it anyway. And so like storyline wise, yeah, he should be pissed. He and Leva and Maddie have their probably biggest most like,

put it all out there kind of argument in the season finale at this like marty grah staff appreciation event and i thought that was really compelling and it opens up the question you know i thought the reunion is fine it's a little annoying that we can't talk about will because like emmy shuts it down whenever you know it's just whatever but knowing that this is a show that was kind of formed in the image of Vanderpump rules. It has mostly centered on the people that work at Republic. Now that we are going to be into, you know, presumably season five, how many of these people are really going to be attached to the Republic Empire,

knowing that we have Molly got fired, knowing that we have, Mia hasn't worked there in a long time, knowing that we have now Maddie and Joe. Well, is Joe going to work there? We don't know. Michaels has been demoted from his real position. He wants to model. We have, Grace Lilly hasn't worked there in forever.

Like, there are fewer and fewer people on this show who are like clocking into work at Republic three nights a week. And I think that is okay. But it's going to change the, the look of the show a little bit. And I'm curious whether they will feel like they need to dip into the Republic pool more for casting to sort of reestablish that tie

or whether they will let it kind of naturally gravitate away from that. And obviously knowing that Leva is involved in this show on a higher level than just being on it, if she feels like it's important for her to maintain that kind of grasp on it as like the boss, I think that could be a negative for the show. But I don't know. I mean, they've had four great seasons. I don't have reason to believe that Southern hospitality is going to be like less good all of a sudden.

But I just like, I hope, I'm sure that they're thinking about that as this show really ages into like a long running property. and isn't just about 22-year-olds who don't know what's going on. It's about 24-year-olds who don't know what's going on. And, you know, T.J., who is a fucking dinosaur, of course, at 35. My God. But Southern Hospitality, I mean, a pretty, a very watchable two-part reunion, you know, depending on where you land on Emmy. Emmy, again, she kind of, similar to, like, Amanda for very different reasons.

There was kind of like a no-win situation in terms of how long it took her to acknowledge the, you know, microaggressions and, like, issues with how she was talking about Brad this season. She showed up to the reunion. I feel like she said a lot of the right stuff, like, simply on paper. But I appreciated that Brad wasn't like, thank you so much for saying that. and I forgive you. It's like, no, we'll see, bitch. We'll see. And also one thing that I didn't love is like, Emmy multiple times was like, thankfully, I, you know, I know it was wrong and I didn't know what a microaggression was and I had a whole other thing. And thankfully, Michael's and Lake educated me. And they showed me why what, and it's like, first of all, we watched you on camera,

have it explained to you 17 times this season. And you didn't really seem that interested in being educated. People, you know, people in the cast were telling you, people out of the cast were telling you, people on social media were telling you, you weren't like eager to be educated. You just, I guess, finally were like lectured enough times that it sunk in. But also it's like, it's not and it shouldn't be Michael's and Lake's job to teach Emmy Sherry. it what a microaggression is, especially when she spent weeks and weeks and weeks, not giving a fuck and not really caring or wanting to know what a microaggression is, and why she might be doing it without even realizing it, which is kind of the whole point.

It's just like, that kind of thing is just annoying. And like, obviously we had to talk about it. But then with the Will and Emmy stuff, like, because Will's not on the show, Emmy doesn't want to say his name. doesn't want other people to say his name. It just feels like that part of the ongoing storyline is a little bit stunted. And, you know, I can't imagine that Will's going to be coming back to the show. And it does kind of make me wonder, like, realistically, what is the Emmy play moving forward? Like, does it make sense for her to still be here if, A, she's been problematic and be the most,

most kind of juicy part of her life is just deemed permanently off limits. Because to me, I'm kind of like, do I enjoy watching her crashouts? Sure. Is she a, you know, mascara tear, facial expression, meme reaction queen? Yes. Has she delivered drama to the show in the past? Yeah, but like, what have you done for me lately? And I don't know.

I don't know the answer. But, you know, congrats to Southern hospitality. Another good season. I wish I had gotten to talk about it more, but I wanted to make sure to just touch on it before they went away. And, you know, we'll see what's happening at Republic, presumably next year. Let's talk about Atlanta because, man, Atlanta has been on a hot streak lately. I feel like Rhode Island has been getting so much of the praise because it's like the shiny new toy and the toy box. But Atlanta has really been turning it out week after week.

I think since the, really since the Dallas trip, it feels like they've had like a real, you know, fire under their ass and just a lot going on. It's a big cast this season, but it feels like everybody really has something to do in a way that I'm enjoying. And we're getting like a really great mix of vibes where there are there are big drama things happening. You know, we'll talk about, you know, K. Michelle and Shemia and Drew. but also there's scenes that are just like fun hangs and being back at Lake Bailey and you know Cynthia her man is there they've been together for two years good for her I love that um but it's it feels like kind of like our it feels like a good like sister circle because Cynthia's there Portia Fadra Drew Angela honestly like kind of the they're kind of the eight

team right now. And then you've got like Kelly, Shamia, Pinky, and Kay Michelle who are like causing some problems, getting on some nerves. Jury might be still out. Um, Portia is catching them up on her, her combo with Kay Michelle and how they've decided to deal with each other and to try to move forward. Um, but then more importantly, Angela is filling the ladies in on her combo with Shamia, which, if if you'll recall last week, it didn't go well. She's like, she came in, destination hell. You know, telling her side of the story, really, you know, laying it on a little thick. And then bringing up something that she has heard or something that she thinks that Shamiya has been sleeping with Hawks and Falcons players.

Basketball and football? Shamia, pick a sport. Look, okay, first of all, if you're going to cheat on your husband, which allegedly, we don't know. First of all, husband, rich, and you're going to cheat on him. Second of all, I feel like if you're going to cheat on your rich, like, powerful husband, you should be cheating on that husband with a guy who, like, is super hot but works at a gas station. Or, like, has some, like, random-ass job and isn't necessarily, like, husband material, but is like, oh, I want to climb that man like a tree, which I guess

basketball football may be hot, but also high profile. You don't want to be having your dalliance with a man who is on Monday night football every week. You want to be fucking some guy that nobody knows, not some guy with the name on the back of his jersey. I just think, I mean, this whole thing is like, it smells a little weird to me. I don't know Shamio's life. Has she been, you know, getting down with the football team, maybe. But Angela brings this up. And what was really interesting is that when they were talking about this and it was like,

you know, like kind of brought up in like a fun shade, like being messy kind of way, Portia fully like excuses herself from the room. And this was interesting because it made people go, okay. So Portia and Shamia, former best friends, presumably, Portia knows where all Shamiya's bodies are buried up until whatever point about a year ago that they fell out. If Angela is bringing up this rumor that she's heard about Shamiya, maybe she heard it from somebody who knows a lot of Shemia's tea, but now is not on good terms with her. Who could fit that description? It could be Portia.

So the idea that Portia maybe could potentially know something about this thing that Angela's, saying she knows about Shemia, and then is like kind of removing herself from the situation where nobody can say, hey, Portia, do you know about this? Have you heard it's true? Or on the flip side, Porsche could say, hey, Shemma and I aren't cool right now, but we have a lot of history. And I just don't want to be associated with people saying something that nasty about her, that she would step out on Gerald with a Hawks and a Falcons player. players. Are there any people that play for both teams? There can't be. Not at that level. That's like high school. You know those people who are like three sport athletes in high school? Get a life.

What are you doing? You're always at practice. Always carrying like a stick or a ball. Get a life. So it's interesting to think about like obviously Porsche and Shemia not good right now, but to what degree is Portia like fuck Shamiya that's over or to what degree is she like, Like right now it's on ice, but I don't want to burn that bridge permanently. Something to consider. Which then, apt timing, Cynthia's like, I got a text. And Shemia has invited Fajra and Cynthia to a birthday party for Gerald the next day. It's a surprise party.

And the theme is you got to dress African. And Cynthia's like, great, now I have 24 hours to pull this look together. And we found out that Dennis was invited to Shemia's party for. for Gerald, which Portia, of course, was not. So then we're at the surprise party. Kelly also made the invite list. And she's, Kelly is so drunk. She's crying about how Shamiya and Gerald are her couple goals.

I'm like, see, I just heard five minutes ago that Shamiya was hooking up with Falcons and Hawks players. And it also seems like Gerald is not around as much or doesn't want to be on camera. Is that a couple goals, Kelly? I think she just knows they're rich. I think Kelly smells money and she's like, this is home for me. This is where I want to be. I don't want to be, I don't want to be counting how many waffles I sold today. And if I can afford the premium sprinter van for another party, I want to be living here.

But Shamiah then is telling her side of the story with Angela, calling her big foot, saying the ground was stomping as she walked in and Cynthia's now look as as a member of the big foot community not too much not too much on the big feet housewives love to drag people for their big feet it's like a tale as old as time um okay the one the one scene on this week's episode that i just had the best time with is seeing Porsche and jazelle together joselle Bryant welcome to the real housewives of Atlanta you know Porsche and josell go way back you know they were in uh what was it Thailand together they did the chat room show you know they're just they're they're they're they're they're they're the girls they did um road trip together i think

they they share a lot of stuff and seeing them together was just like it was just fun and that's what i'm saying about the season of Atlanta it feels like even in episodes that have moments of darkness, moments of real catiness and drama, people going through real shit, there are just these carve out moments every week. Another one we have this week is K-Michel taking Fadra fishing. Like, what the fuck is going on? But I love it.

Fadra at the lake with her little pigtails bringing a pie. No, but Giselle, Giselle, working her magic, getting down to business. And she goes, now let's get to Shamea. Portia's like, not you having bullet points. I love the idea that Giselle is like keeping tabs on who has drama in Atlanta, because you know she is. You know, she knows everybody's dirt.

Like, that is one thing. If you ever got Giselle alone with a few drinks, I feel like you would learn a lot. And I would like to do that. Portia's wearing this, like, sleeveless dress. And the dress, she has these, like, ostrich feather cuffs that are like four inches long on her wrists that match the color of the dress, but not the fabric. And I'm like, it's like the dress has like invisible sleeves. And then just these

cuffs at the end. It's just like this stupidest look, but like so funny, so great. Just a lovely scene. And then perhaps my favorite scene of the episode because it's just the pure droolusion that I like to see. see what I did there? The Drillusion. So Pinky apparently has a past in producing television. And now she wants to make a TV show pilot about her own life, about a slutty vegan. Sure. Why not? Anything for a storyline? The bankruptcy was getting boring. So now we're doing a TV show. So Pinky is having an audition, a casting call for this pilot. And we find out that Pinky wanted Drew to come audition for a role in the pilot. And there was some miscommunication, lack of communication, where Drew either didn't want to audition or she was only going to do it if the part was offered to her.

I don't know. Or she just wanted to make sure that Pinky was following her booking protocols. You know Drew has a team of 20, as we've seen. And so you probably have to be like, okay, first of all, you got to send a DM to the link in the bio. That goes to Ricky. Ricky is going to forward a thing to you that you have to fill out and doc you sign, and that's going to go to the business manager. And then you have to call. You have to call Wednesdays between 12 and 2.

That's when my second assistant is working. You have to leave a voicemail with the second assistant, and then they will forward along to the first assistant, a set of instructions. Like that's how you have to book Drew to be in your slutty vegan pilot. And presumably Pinky couldn't follow all the steps. She got lost somewhere in the scavenger hunt of how to do Drew's booking. And so Drew decided that she wasn't going to audition. But instead she was just going to pop by the auditions and say hello. And as she puts it, support her friend.

Now, this is just like housewifery in a way that I love because in, no way could Drew have actually thought that Pinky was going to receive this as genuine support where it's like, oh, no, no, no, no, no. I don't want to do your little show. I just want to, like, say, hey, come see how it's going. Talk to Shamilla while she gets ready for her audition. Because, you know, Shamia's a little newer to this whole acting thing. It's just, it's so funny.

Drew in her, like, tiered jeans, like, with, like, they're, like, baggy, but they have, like, it's like a layer cake. It's so, it's just so funny. And the line of people standing out in the blazing sun waiting to audition for Pinky's pilot, I'm like, is this pilot happening? Not to be, no, not to be like mean, is it going to happen or is this just like,

are we doing this for the show? I don't know, but so Drew, I think, comes out victorious in that moment just because it made me laugh. But then later in the episode, the girls are doing too much with Drew. because there's this event for rich homie Kwan, who's this rapper who passed away,

and it's a great, you know, raising fundraiser community event that all the ladies go to, it's great to see. And then afterward, there's this awkward setup, and I do mean set up. Who is plotting? It turns out it's Shemia and Kay Michelle on Drew. Because they're like, oh, we're going to go to this place after for drinks. And so they're in this, this weird, like, you know, patio seating area out front.

And it turns out that it's basically K. Michelle and Shemilla have brought Drew there to, I don't know, hold her feet to the fire, just make her feel weird. It's very strange because Drew is, Drew sits down and she says, okay, so Kay, what have I done to upset you? And Kay does the thing again where she's just like, you've said a lot. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. You've said a lot. And Drew's like, what's this? And I, I am just a little, I'm a little frustrated.

It feels like Kay Michelle now for several weeks has given us this energy of like, everybody knows what they did. And I'm not going to say it. because I don't want to say it, but they know, and they should say it or not say it or own it or not. It's like, what are we talking about? I feel like you're not allowed to, you should not allow. It's not great to just be like perpetuating week after week this idea of like, everybody knows what they did and I'm not going to say it. Because at the end of the day, like, we're watching a TV show. We don't know what's going on.

what's the plot who's scheming and it feels like k-mchelle is now kind of like when she first brought it up in dallas i was like oh maybe she has some smoking gun information these these women are plotting and now it's just starting to feel a like maybe she doesn't have real information maybe she's just kind of like saying something to say something and b even if she does have real information, I'm starting to get annoyed and not care because I come out of this interaction. You know, Kay gets up to leave without saying anything. Shamiya, you know, after Kay leaves brings up that Drew actually maybe did say something about Kay and knowing the guy black.

And then Shemia and Kay end up leaving together. And because they're sitting out front of the restaurant, Drew can see them getting in the car together and leaving. And they're like cackling and blasting the national anthem. making fun of Drew, who just sang the national anthem, beautifully, might I add, at this fundraiser for a guy who died of an overdose. And it's weird because it's like, the two of you, whether if there's real information that Drew did that's fucked up, I'm sorry to hear that, but like, either tell me or move off of it. Because now Drew here looks like,

the victim of this weird two-on-one-one gang up. And, you know, as somebody who likes Drew, this isn't like so shocking for me to say. But I think even people who are sort of like, meh on Drew are watching this being like, that was messed up. What are they doing? What's going on? What has Drew done to warrant this way of being treated? Not just being treated like, poorly, because if they don't want to get along, that's fine, it's housewives. But, like, being treated in this weird, like, almost, like, trolling manner where it's like, that's Drew motherfucking Sadora, singer, actress model, mogul. Treat her with some respect.

Put some respect on Drew Sodorah's name. And it's, I'm not, I feel like we're not used to having Drew in this position where she's, like, being, you know, the public cause, we have to root for her. But I think, I mean, Drew is coming out of this situation on top because she looks like the one who hasn't done anything wrong. And, you know, I don't know if it'll stay that way, but I'm enjoying it right now. Atlanta, just a lot of fun. Jaze'll come hang out more.

I love to see Jaselle, especially when she doesn't have to be like, you know, poking around in her own group's mess. It's a good time. Rhode Island, I mean, this episode of Rhode Island, I feel like the only thing we really need to talk about is Rula's party. Because Rula finally spent some time with the cast, mine is Joellen, which I did, like, I think it's fine for her to not invite Jo Ellen to the party because it's like at the end of the day. it would be weird for her to be like, fine, now I'm comfortable with Joellen in my home. But what this party does make kind of clear is like, oh, Rula hasn't really been on this show in a while. Because now Rula and Joellen at the beginning of the season was like, seemed like it was going to be one of the big feuds of the season.

And now we have not seen them together in six weeks. Likewise, Rula is talking to the other women at the party and she's getting caught up. up on everything that was happening in Newport. That's also like a month ago. There are just so many situations and, you know, if Rula was filming as a friend of, whatever, but like the way it's being presented to us is just like, oh, this woman has just been like absent for most of the events of the season. And so then watching her get filled in, it's a little bit like, why are we, why are we doing this now? Don't we have, don't we have something else to do? But yeah, I mean, Obviously, there's still the video looming, and Alicia has once again been sort of assigned to share this information about the video of Brian with Rula, and she doesn't want to do it.

Meanwhile, Kelsey and Rosie, they're figuring out if they're going to be, you know, cordial together, which they do a good job at this party. They keep it together. Rich and Bill, their respective men, are kind of trying to get them to, you know, bury the hatchet a little bit. and, you know, it's not a great, they're not going to be besties anytime soon, let's just say. But, you know, a little bit better. Alicia does talk to Liz after, you know, their whole like, you are never home with kind of thing.

Liz just like, her energy now is a little questionable to me. Because she apologizes, she apologizes to Alicia and says she doesn't want to have issues and she wasn't attacking her. She was just sad. And she never got a chance to give her compassion because she felt tag teamed by Joellen. And so it's clear that Liz's real issue is still with Jo Ellen, not with Alicia, which is nice. I mean, whatever.

Like, you know, justice for Alicia. But also it's like, no, you were really, really heated about this like a week ago. And now you're kind of approaching it like, no, I was never mad at you. And it's like, you were at least a little mad. Only so long. Like, let's not do the revisionist history of like, all I wanted was to show compassion. And Joellen wouldn't let me. It's like, okay, yeah, big bad Joe Ellen.

Like, I don't think, I don't think Liz is controlled by Joellen. So obviously, we need to still see what's going on with Liz and Joellen, which I guess we'll get next week at the finale at Block Island. But finally, Rosie and Alicia do talk to Rola. And they're catching her up on Newport and Rosie. Rosie brings up the video. And I love that Rosie just like kind of, it's like she senses that Alicia's not going to do it.

And she just like snatches the tea. And she's like, yeah, I mean, like what we learned in the mansion is like pretty messed up, honestly. and, you know, it's just like, do you want to know? Like, have you heard about the video? And Rula's like, no, I don't know anything about a video. And so she tells her. And of course, Rula and Brian, when Brian comes in, like, they both have the same instinct, which is like, and how do you know it's not an old video? How do you know it's not an AI video?

How do you know it's not doctor? The mistress, she's, yes, she uses a lot of AI. and Photoshop and, you know, online tools to manipulate things. And, you know, and it's just like, because it isn't. They're like, well, there's a timestamp on it. And Brian's like, no, no, no, no, you can change a timestamp. And it's just, it's so, it's funny because, like,

they haven't even seen the video and they're already like, no, no, no, the timestamp is forged. It's like, do you want, do you want to watch it? Like, it's so clear that Brian's main goal is just to, like, shut down any conversation that's going to, like, penetrate into Rula. Because to me, like, I don't think Brian cares that people in the community, in the group, are talking about this. I think he cares that Rula is still living in her, like, palace of delusion and saying, like, nah, nah, nah, the mistress uses AI. Like, that's what Brian has told her, and he's gotten her to believe it. Persuasive guy.

He's selling people on Botox and Ozempic. He's selling Rula on Mistress using AI. What's that injection? How many Cs? So it's in his interest that he's dispelling this, not with real facts or evidence, but with the sort of like, no, that doesn't sound, that doesn't sound right. and he says, I trust Joellen about as much as I trust gas station sushi, and Rula says Joellen is a cockroach.

And I'm like, at this point, you haven't seen Joellen in a month and a half. You haven't heard from her. She hasn't talked to you. I do think, like, this season has been really strong. I think one thing that would have really benefited this season is getting Rula and Joelan in the same place a little more consistently. in order to at least continue the thread of this storyline, whereas now it feels like because Rula has been gone, because whatever, we sort of haven't talked about the mistress stuff since we were in Newport, which again is like a month ago. So I think just that sort of like

consistency of storyline has been the side effect of Joe Allen being away. But I'm hoping it'll all come to a head on Block Island. Does Rula go? I don't know. I don't know. Get in the fucking car or the ferry. However you get to Block Island. Go! It's one night. It makes me a little nervous that next week is the finale and they're going on an overnight trip. Does nothing happen? One episode. Can we get another episode? I can't believe it's already almost over. That makes me sad. I'm going to miss these girlies. But they better be filming like next week. Fourth of July. They better film for Fourth of July.

You know they go all out for Fourth of July. I mean, Joe Allen's Fourth of July party was the Fourth of July. They better do it. The last thing. When Gary and Joellen are talking to each other, Gary, hot again. Still hot. Him filming in a shirt that says, the Gary Tiberi mortgage lending team. You know you're on Housewives
