Mention It All - Bravo’s Worst Men Are On The Valley! Plus RHOA, In The City, & Bethenny’s New Business Venture
Episode Date: July 31, 2026On this week’s solo episode, Dylan is back to discuss a myriad of Bravo-related topics, starting with Bethenny Frankel’s latest questionable business venture… which might actually be a return to... what she was doing when we met her. Then, he’s freshly caught up on a whirlwind season of The Valley, and he has many thoughts as we round the bend on the season finale. What is Luke’s problem? And similarly, what is Danny’s problem? Much to consider. Then, he caps off season 1 of In The City with a discussion of the reunion, and what this cast could learn from their Valley counterparts. Hey everyone, welcome back to the Mentioned-All podcast. Oh, my God. What a week it has been. I had a sneeze attack like 15 minutes before we started recording. So right now I'm really pushing through. But I feel amazing. I feel so, so happy to be here with all of you. We have had a dozy of a week on Mention It All on Tuesday. Our episode with Heather DeBrow came out. So go listen to that after this. If you're if you're so inclined, I thought it was.
a lovely conversation. I always love catching up with Heather. We've had some,
some interesting booking and cancellation trauma this week. Housewives are dropping like flies,
but no, we have a great month coming up unmentioned at all. And next Tuesday, we are going to
have one of my favorites, Ariana Bierman from NextGen, NYC, back on the show. It was fun catching
up with her because she was on the show last year with Riley, on this show last year with
Riley. And we recorded that episode before the first season premiere of NextGen had even aired. And so
it was fun to kind of like get the perspective of like now it's been a year and a bit. The season
came out. They filmed another one. Now it's airing. Lots has happened in life on TV on the show,
everything. So it was, it's always fun to catch up, you know, with somebody after things have really
changed in their in their life. It's it's it's a good time. So I'm excited for you guys all to hear that.

But we we have a lot to get into this week. Starting off, we have some news from the Bethany Frankel
corner of the internet, which is always a fun place to be. So Bethany, I got to say, I have not been
super staying up to date on Bethany lately because, you know,
after the second or third, independent, small woman-owned clothing accessory brand sends you
free product and you wear the product and post about it and neglect to tag them or tag, in fact,
a different brand and, like, lie about where you got the product or ghost them when they
asked for credit.
Like, I kind of just tap out of that, you know, like she did that to Dina Manzo's daughter's shoe brand.
I think she just recently did it to another jewelry company.
company. That's kind of been the M.O. lately, so I haven't been paying a ton of attention,
because also, like, I don't need, like, outfit Dietz from Bethany Frankel. Like, okay,
whatever. But she is now opening a pop-up cafe in East Quag on Long Island. She, I'm sure
she's hanging out with the Cindy Bar Shop called the Supermodel Cafe. Sure. It can go right
next to Tyro Banks's ice cream shop.
But, so this is, I'm reading from the People article about this,
while filming a beauty campaign,
Frankel caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and joked,
wait, I think I'm a supermodel.
I was doing a video with a beauty brand and I used this palette, she recalls.
I looked at myself and I was like, wait, I think I'm a supermodel.
Like, it looked very good.
The phrase became a running joke in her videos before taking off
while she was secretly preparing to walk in the 2026 Sports Illustig.
Illustrated Swimsuit fashion show. I said it in the moment and then I would just say it once in a while
if I looked good or whatever. When I was getting ready for Sports Illustrated, which no one knew why I was
doing it, I was saying this is a supermodel snack. I have something coming up. So essentially
Bethany is saying in this article that she has kind of rebranded the idea of skinny girl
as supermodel. She's like, it just is like a better way to say it. It sounds cool. It. It sounds cool.
It sounds more fun. And like, I guess, like, I guess we're just like rebranding our, you know,
disordered evening habits in 2026 to be less about being skinny and more about a different
word that also implies that you're skinny. But I just, I feel like, Bethany trying to, is she
going to, like, claim ownership over the idea of a supermodel? I feel like that's what's coming next.
Like, she's going to serve Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.
with like papers being like, actually this is your notice that Bethany Franklin now owns the word supermodel.
So you must cease and desist referring to yourself as such in all forms in perpetuate.
Like I feel like her lawyers are probably hard at work right now figuring out a way for her to trademark the word supermodel, which has been around for decades, of course.
But so she's doing this pop-up cafe.
And I think it's like inside another store.
It's, you know, going back to the season one roots where she was like giving away Muffin.
inside a grocery store.
But the menu is, if there's a real human artist that made this, I am so sorry, but your work
is giving AI.
It's like this millennial pink menu, which I didn't know we were still doing, with all
lowercase font.
And it's, they have lower, it's like healthy bagels, protein spreads and dips, chicken salad,
of course, a low calorie cheesecake, which I'm like, if you're eating cheesecake,
Give me the fucking cheesecake.
Don't give me the low-calorie bullshit.
We don't need to be doing that.
And then you can add on to any dish, which is just crazy.
Pickled brown onions, truffle hot sauce, caviar bump,
or make it rich bitch, parentheses, add gold flakes.
Like, okay.
They have a Caccio-Ape spread and or dip.
I'm like, are you putting that on a bagel?
There's a cherry vanilla bagel.
that you can get with sweet cre—I just like, oh.
I just don't really—she's giving the quotes in this article of, like, well, you know, I am a natural foods chef, and it's like, for sure, at one point, weren't we all?
But I just—the Bethany Project at large continues to be so confounding to me because I'm like, I thought you were like a Florida, Miami billionaire trying to, you know,
hang out with Alex Earl or beef with Alex Earl or go to the, you're feuding with Chanel.
And then suddenly we're back at the grocery store at East Quagg serving up like nasty-ass dips.
I feel like we have come full circle. And maybe that's a recession indicator.
Maybe Bethany re-upping on the like weird healthy food space means that business is not
booming. I don't know. Something to consider. Okay. The other.
big news of the week that is not big news for anybody else, but I'm excited about it. I am
finally caught up on the valley. Oh my God, I don't know what happened earlier this season. I
watched the first few episodes when they came out. We had Janet on the podcast. Can you believe
that feels like it was 17 years ago that Janet Coperno was sitting on the couch right there.
But something happened. I think in May, I had gotten a week or two behind
I just had other stuff we were talking about. I don't know. And the season got off to a little bit of a slow start. And then I think I went on vacation. And then I was like four weeks behind. And I meant to be catching up. I felt like I should be catching up. And then I did it. And then I felt like I should. Suddenly I turn around and I was like 14 episodes behind on the Valley. And last week, I said to myself, I looked in the mirror and I said, get your shit together.
It's now or never bitch because this week was the finale of the Valley, season three.
And so I said by the time I sit down in that chair next Thursday, I need to be caught up on the
valley or else it's never going to happen.
So I watched, I think in four or five days, I watched 15 episodes of the Valley.
I feel like I have been through a crash course on everything that is wrong with the patriarchy.
I feel energized, energized to fight against the tyranny of men like Danny Bucco and Luke,
whatever his last name is.
I feel like I could throw a fucking car because this season of the Valley,
I don't know if it's good per se, but it is so interesting to me.
The dynamics at play feel so complex, so layered, so real, just real.
And watching in such a condensed period of time, you know, a few months of these people's lives and the ups and downs and downs and downs and downs of these friendships, these relationships, marriages.
Oh, my God.
I feel like this show is kind of just doing it like nobody else.
And again, I don't know if that means it's the best show, but it's a lot of show.
And they had a long season.
I mean, 18 episodes and they're getting a three-part reunion, not everybody can do that.
Not everybody is being given the time and space to just let it all hang out.
And so, you know, watching the season of the Valley, I think something that I realized,
as I was kind of finishing this binge to get caught up,
is that because I've been doing this for six years, a long time,
it is so rare for me to be so far behind
on a show that, like, feels important.
And so to get to sit down and just, like, crush 10 hours of the valley
was kind of a treat.
And I think it, like, revitalized something,
in me watching Danny just be the worst man imaginable 15 episodes in a row. And it is so crazy
that he, like, I don't know if it's that he doesn't realize how he comes across or he realizes
and he doesn't care or he actually kind of likes it. Because this is always so interesting
to me when people are on a show like this.
They know they're being filmed. They're putting on a mic pack. They're walking into these situations and they're just being awful.
He's, you know, they're on the San Diego trip and they're getting ready for this fugg-ass pageant and he's bitching at his wife. He's, you know, Janet's opening up about her story of being, you know, of sexual assault. And it's like this piece of shit woman is trying to ruin me. It's like every turn throughout.
the season, it just feels like he's making conscious choices to appear worse and worse and
worse. And it is, it's such a fascinating thing to me, the way that these men just don't get it.
And I mean, Luke is so bad too. I mean, this whole season, it's obvious that Kristen is really going
through it. I mean, she started the season when she was just a couple months.
post-giving birth to Kaya.
And of course, she's in a tough spot with that.
I mean, she's really going through it.
Obviously, like, that's a really challenging time, I imagine, for any couple.
But to watch him week after week, after week, say the wrong thing, just show really, like, such, so little, like, actual genuine care for,
his partner that he has proposed to and had a child with, it's kind of shocking. And I mean,
it really comes full circle in the finale when they've gone to a couple's therapy session.
Their first one, they've been saying they need to do it. And, you know, in the therapy session,
Kristen is saying, you know, because he makes the comment about how if things go down this road,
he doesn't know if there will be a wedding. And, you know, Jesse tells Kristen,
about this, Jesse the bone carrier, thank you for your service.
And Kristen is like, when you got down on one knee in Hawaii and proposed to me, like,
that wasn't part of the deal where you were like, if you continue to be a bitch while you're
pregnant, then we won't get married.
And he literally says to her, well, at that point, I hadn't met pregnant Kristen.
And the therapist is like, oh, so that was a really, that was a really, that.
was a bit of a hurtful thing to say.
And in the finale, after they've been to this therapy session, when they're kind of like
recapping it, and he's like, yeah, you know, I just don't, I don't think I like felt the
vibe with her, I just like, I don't know, that was not, I didn't love it.
And it's like, dude, you are reacting to her accurately clocking something that you say.
that was hurtful to your partner.
And this woman who, as far as we know, was meeting them for the first time is immediately
honing in on dynamics that we've been seeing all season that are alarming.
And his reaction to that is not like, wow, she really helped me see that I am being
hurtful to you or whatever.
His reaction to that is like, that bitch therapist really seemed like she didn't
like me.
It's like, yeah, who would?
Who would?
And then he's saying he wants to have another baby.
ASAP.
Kaya, again, is like six months old at this point.
And Kristen's like, oh, well, like, oh, you want to have another baby so fast and we're still figuring this out.
And he's like, well, yeah, I mean, like, I want to have another baby quick so we can be done with pregnant Kristen.
And he says, so we can put pregnant Kristen in a coffin for good.
this is some like dark-sighted nastiness.
To say that, first of all, I mean, to say that at all is crazy.
To talk about, I mean, we talk about pregnant Kristen or crazy Kristen or whatever.
Like she is like a completely different person.
It's like pregnant Kristen is Kristen as a human woman going through something real that
millions, billions, I don't know, literally like every person goes through, every person who has
a baby, I don't know, to act like you can put a label on pregnant Kristen and then pregnant
Kristen just becomes this like rag doll that you can talk about any way you want.
It's like that is your wife, your fiance, partner, whatever.
Like, he feels like she has no reason to find that hurtful or to be affected by that.
Like it's some mutual understanding that pregnant Kristen is evil.
And it's like pregnant Kristen is like the person that you're with right now.
She's not pregnant right now.
But like you're in this stage of life.
And it's like he is showing at every turn that he is not equipped to be the partner that she needs.
And I really feel like over the course of this season, I was, you know, before the season, it's like if Chris and Luke want to be together, whatever.
I genuinely feel like it's at the point where like from what we're seeing, I feel like she would be better off with no partner than with a partner like that.
because it's crazy.
I don't know.
I am really intrigued by what this reunion is going to be like because over the course of the season,
I mean, you have roughly a split in the cast of how people feel about Danny, how people are feeling about Janet,
where it's like you have, you know, Danny and Nia, Kristen and Luke, and kind of Zach as the like anti-Janet brigade.
and then you have, you know, Michelle, Janet, Jasmine.
They are seeing, you know, Brittany, Lala.
Oh, my God, Lala has been a great ad to this show.
You're seeing them kind of like see Danny for what he is and be, you know, rightly, I think,
kind of horrified by it a lot of the time.
And so I'm really interested to see at this reunion,
is there more of a consensus within the group that,
Danny is like really giving us some tough looks this season, or is it still going to be this
kind of like, oh, well, you know, Daniel is blah, blah, blah.
But also, Janet, Janet, Janet just sucks.
Sucks so bad.
Because like that is going to be, that's going to be hard.
And I know it seems like Kristen has maybe been changing her tune a bit on the Danny stuff
as the season's been playing out.
But I'm like, is she just doing that because she sees online that people hate Danny?
I don't think she's got, I don't need her to be besties with Janet because I think that would
feel fake.
But I don't, I can't, we can't keep doing this.
If these people can't see Danny and honestly, Nia also for what they are, which is like bad,
weird conservative vibes, it's like, I don't, I don't know that I, I don't know that I want
to do that anymore.
And here's the thing.
In the finale, when Janet throws the cup at Danny, was that a proud moment?
Was that, did she do exactly, you know, the right thing that a good upstanding woman would do?
Maybe not.
Maybe not, but you know what?
Who cares?
So what?
I support women's rights and I also support women's wrongs sometimes.
And I think that Janet, in that instance, it was like an empty,
I think, like, it was like a red solo cup.
I've thrown a red solo cup at somebody.
I just think, like, when Kristen's like, Jenna needs to get,
Jenna,
Jenna needs to go.
It's like, first of all, it's not at your party.
Second of all, Nia doesn't even want to be there.
For the second half of the season,
it feels like every time Nia is around the group,
It's like, honestly, these people are not our real friends.
And when I went to guest judge the Miss USA pageant, I thought so much more at home with those girls.
That's my real friends.
And these people don't act like friends because they, the way they talk about Daniel is just a friend wouldn't do that.
And it's like, then go.
Go!
Live your life in Santa Clarita with your 4 under 4 and your husband's vasectomy.
You know, I got a DM.
a little while ago from like the brand,
some like cream or whatever that Danny was using
in his like vasectomy scene.
I got a DM from,
and they were like, hey, we're the brand that was featured in the ballot.
And I'm like, ugh.
You, you think it's like a flex that you're Danny Bucco's vasectomy cream?
Get away from me.
Buky.
I just like, oh my God.
Man, I don't know.
Oh, I am, wow, I'm intrigued for that reunion and trust me, I will not get 15 episodes behind again.
Oh, the valley.
I get, thank God for Lala on this season.
People, people were so negative about it and it worked.
It worked like a charm.
Her talking, talking to Danny.
I also, I want Jesse and Michelle to be okay.
And I, they were on such a good path.
And then in the finale, Jesse, like, thinks that she's been.
fucking this comedian.
The comedian, he has like
10 million Instagram followers.
Huh?
There are so many people out there
that I just...
Pockets of culture that I never knew existed,
this maximini guy has like 9.8 million followers.
And Jesse is like,
you went to Vegas and you introduced her to Isabella.
And so now it's going to be a custody situation.
Like, I actually like both Jesse and Michelle.
I don't, I like both of them on the show, but I'm like, I really don't love the, like, custody thing being, like, thrown in someone's face in an argument.
Like, oh, well, I'm going to call the lawyer and it's going to be a huge deal for our, it's going to be an issue for the custody.
I like, let Isabella live.
Isabella, like, why, I just think it's, like, really icky kind of.
of to be like throwing around your child's custody arrangement as like collateral for your ex-wife
like maybe introducing her to a comedian when she's trying to sell him a house.
Let her do her job.
Now see Spider-Man.
A face with a threat.
I can be anyone on the biggest screen possible.
You got to come with me.
I don't know if you're the real Spider-Man.
I promised that I would keep you saying.
Fine.
Spider-Man, brand new day.
Now playing.

Okay, we should talk about the In The City reunion, because it's,
it's done. And I guess we should talk about it because it's done. I don't know. I feel like prior to
the reunion, I was kind of like on a good groove within the city where I was liking it. And something
about the reunion just kind of like fell flat for me. I don't know if it's that they were in the
clubhouse or honestly, I do think there's an element of just being like a little fatigued
with the Summerhouse extended universe I saw.
Our friend Abby Bonadies posted on threads that we had at least one episode of Summerhouse content from like the first week of February until the last week of July.
Between Summerhouse in the city, reunions, aftermath episodes, watch what happens live.
it's been a lot.
It's been a lot to keep up with.
It's been a lot to think about.
The conversation has been deafening.
And it just is like, I think I am really ready for a nice six-month break from these people.
And, you know, at the reunion, we got like some interesting developments, I guess.
I mean, I feel like the problem is that it's like the,
the developments that matter on paper are kind of like whatever.
Like Danielle and Lindsay are talking through their issues again.
And Danielle was taken aback that Lindsay had a whole list of grievances from Summerhouse.
And, you know, we're talking about the over-the-pants hand job again for the love of Christ.
But at the end, they're like, I do want to move forward.
Let's move forward.
Let's have new mistakes to fight about.
We both want this.
And I'm like, okay.
on paper it's like Lindsay and Danielle squash their beef, I agree to move forward.
But like in practice, it's like, do we believe that?
Like, okay, like I really don't feel a sense of like excitement to be close again.
And that's the thing.
Like I was actually, I'm not going to talk much about OC this week just from like a time perspective.
But the fact that Shannon like reached out to Tamara to help her.
her decorate for her Mexican party.
Like that actually to me was like, oh, wow, they said they were going to like move forward.
And it actually feels like Shannon's like acting like she wants to.
I wasn't expecting that.
And when I think about Lindsay and Danielle, I'm like, if they started filming in the city again tomorrow,
I feel like Lindsay is still going to be like pissed at Danielle about something.
And so I don't, it's hard for me to feel invested in them.
like patching things up what it's like it feels like it's a contractual agreement if anything um
okay then i mean Danielle and Amanda they they're doing okay i did i mean so amanda texted
daniel and owen to apologize for the homewrecker commentary after she found herself in a bit of a similar
position of being a co-used of being a homewrecker or something being shady in a relationship.
And she's like, oh, now I know how this feels.
And I don't like it so much.
Now, this was big of Amanda to apologize and really seem like she was grappling with the
implications of her actions.
And I love that Andy asked, so you seem like you had such a thoughtful apology right now for Danielle.
And I think at the Summerhouse reunion, it would have gone a long way if you had a similarly thoughtful apology for Sierra,
who was in fact the person in this whole shit-fuckery situation that was like personally hurt.
and Amanda's like
I just
I felt like I couldn't get a word in
at the summer house reunion
so and it's like
that to me is such a cop-out
because it's like what was Amanda being
yelled at hit from every angle
on the hot seat?
Certainly.
But if Amanda had been given
more breathing room to speak, let's say
was she prepared to give an apology like that to Sierra?
Because that was not the impression I got.
I don't think that Amanda went into the Summer House reunion ready to have that type of moment.
I think it would have gone a long way.
I think Andy's right.
But I think it's like a weird, it's a weird like revisionist history when Amanda's like, oh man, yeah, I agree.
I just like couldn't get a sentence out.
It's like the sentences you did get out weren't like, wow, Sierra, I'm so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, I don't know.
I just, I just feel like it rings a little false, and, and that is the kind of thing where, like, when she's given, you know,
know, this is the last time we're going to see her on our screens for a while.
And she still is giving these answers that just feel like bullshit.
And it's like, why can't we cut it out?
Why can't you just stop that?
And that is what is making me more annoyed with her.
And then, of course, we get into like a long thing about Kyle and Amanda, which, of course,
was actually a main part of this season that now feels like less important.
And I do think, like, they had to talk about this at the reunion, but I also am just, like, not that invested anymore in picking apart lots of different angles of their separation.
Because, you know, Amanda brings up that recently I heard that Kyle had sex with someone while we were married.
And she's like, you know, Kyle's like, wait, what?
Like, from who?
And she's like, well, this person told someone that they hurt.
It's like, it's so through the grapevine.
And I'm like, why are we doing this now?
Why are, just be done.
Be happy that you're done.
She's talking about, oh, the night she was moving out, you were hanging out with strangers
and you were blasting music in the office.
And it's like, who cares?
Move on.
Lindsay asks why they didn't have sex for four years, which Kyle does kind of annotate and say,
well, it wasn't four solid years of no sex.
We had sex three times during our marriage.
marriage, which is just tough. But Amanda's like, well, I was depressed and I didn't feel like I was
getting corded and there was no emotional intimacy and I felt like an object. Like he would ask me to send
an email and then try to have sex with me. And then he feels like the goalpost was moving. First, he was
an alcoholic, then he was a workaholic. He was a cheater, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
One of the funniest moments of the reunion is when Amanda says, I was, I was annoyed with
how much you were working.
And your solution was for me to read a book on how to date an entrepreneur.
I mean, that is pretty funny.
Like, Kyle, Kyle.
I don't know.
It's just like, I feel like I have lived enough lives that I don't need to be that worried
about what happened in Kyle and Amanda's marriage anymore.
It's over, babes.
The lawyers have been engaged.
Kyle has demands.
Like, well, yeah.
He's like, get your clothes out of my apartment.
That feels fair.
We talk about the scene that Amanda filled with West and Sierra.
And I love the Danielle.
I mean, Danielle loves to just like stick her nose in places that are going to get her in trouble.
But she's like, it did feel like you had a weird friendship, but that West had his eyes set on you.
And Amanda's like, yeah.
Yeah, but how diabolical would it have been for me to...
And Danielle's like, exactly.
How diabolical would it have been?
And then that's exactly what happened.
Andy talks about the fight that they had on Summerhouse,
because I guess we didn't have time to get to that at the Summerhouse reunion.
And Amanda says that happened all the time.
Kyle says that Amanda instigated a lot of the arguments.
And then one morning he woke her up to walk the dogs and she, quote, nearly hit him.
I mean, not great, but again, we got to move on.
We've got to move on.
In this city, I feel like overall, it's almost hard to sort of grade this first season because it got so swept up in the larger scandal conversation.
Overall, I would say like a B minus.
I didn't think it was terrible.
I didn't think it was excellent, though.
And I, after watching 15 episodes of the Valley in the last week, the Valley is so compelling, so much going on.
It feels like every, one thing I actually love about the Valley, it feels like every person in that ensemble is sort of carrying equal weight, except for maybe like Jason, but he's injured.
I don't know.
All the relationships feel important.
all the connections feel like necessary.
And in the city you have kind of like the same vibe, but just with like some dead weight.
So I think they'll do another season.
I'm down to watch another season.
I think the show has a little bit of work to do.
We'll see.
Okay, we do have to talk about Atlanta.
And more even than the episode that aired this past week, we have to talk about Kelly.
sweet Kelly going on Carlos King's podcast.
And if you saw this clip, you know what I'm about to say.
But Kelly, in this clip that Carlos posted, said that she set the standard for a lot of the ladies on the show when she joined last season in terms of, Carlos, she says this as like a blanket statement.
And Carlos just goes,
in what way?
And she says in terms of fashion,
nobody on the show was dressing like me.
In terms of content.
Nobody had a videographer,
a content producer following them around like me.
In terms of hosting events,
I've hosted several events at William Sonoma
and not just for the show.
In terms of,
I shut down,
Balman for a birthday party.
And none of these other girls can do that
because they're not shopping in the stores.
And Carlos is like, well, where are they shopping?
And she goes, I don't know.
Wherever you can return.
She says she set the standard in terms of having a police escort.
Nobody else on the show was having a police escort before me.
And he is, if you watch the full clip,
laughing in her face.
Who does Kelly think she is?
And this is the thing.
Even if you really enjoy her on the show,
even if you think that she is a standout in the cast,
she's one of your faves,
you want her to come back next season,
your team Kelly and Shemia, whatever.
The absolute abject delusion required to think that you,
Kelly came on to a franchise as iconic, and that word is overused.
I mean, really iconic.
As the real house size of Atlanta, you came on in season 16 and set the standard for the girls.
And that you should be given flowers for what you brought to the group.
I was flabbergasted when I saw this clip because it just is like really comically delusional.
And I love a delusional housewife.
Shemay Whitfield is one of my favorites.
Drew Sedora.
You know, I love me some gertie.
There have been many delusional housewives over the years that I have enjoyed.
This is just like craziness.
and I don't
I don't even know what to do with it.
This woman wore a plain white t-shirt
in her confessional this season.
She is
she's talking about on the show.
Carlos brings up people criticizing
that this mystery man Jarvis
who shows up to the Halloween party
in an Iron Man mask
because we're not allowed to see his face.
He's bringing up people criticizing
that he paid $70,000 for her teeth
and not for a place to live.
And she goes, I had a place to live.
I was waiting for my space to be ready.
And I could have stayed with Jarvis.
I could have stayed with my mom.
I could have stayed at a hotel.
But I chose to stay with Shamiya with my friend because she lives in the same school district.
Okay.
And she's like, maybe it wasn't clear on the show.
But I had a place to live.
I'm like, so sorry.
I just went with the information that I was presented with.
Kelly just feels like she is so deeply committed to living in this, like, fantasy land,
where she is, like, the baller, bad bitch boss.
And look, I'm all for believing in yourself and whatever, but it's like, girl, what are we doing?
This, this, again, it's like,
you're going on a platform and saying all this stuff and are you really not realizing that people are going to think you sound crazy?
It's so strange to me.
But anyway, back to back to the actual show.
Let's talk about this week's episode just a little bit.
So we're back from Scotland.
And why did we cut the Traders party from Scotland?
It's in the trailer for the season.
Fadra did like an Alan coming, I think they called her like Alanisha Kame situation.
And they all like played traitors.
Not in this season.
What are we doing?
What?
Things are being erased from the records in real time.
They're not giving us like secrets from the vault episodes anymore.
We're never going to see that.
And I'm disappointed.
But the real through light of this episode, we've talked about Kelly's delusion.
We got to talk about Shavias.
because, girl, what is going on with the rum bum?
The rum bum, she's like turning around,
she's like, I'm going to call it rum bum!
Lo and behold, we last heard about this 15 episodes ago.
The contracts do not exist.
Not one signature has been signed.
The owner of the rum company now doesn't even know if he wants Shamiya to actually, like,
sign on as a partner.
It turns out she might just be getting a deal.
to buy the bottles wholesale and sell the rum herself.
Mrs. Morton Mwangi said she would sell the rum herself.
That's a Mrs. Dalloway reference, if anybody,
any Virginia Wolfheds are listening.
What are we doing?
Shamiya refers to herself as a young, budding entrepreneur.
She's 44.
Not to age shame, just a note.
And she says that she has already spent over six figures.
over $100,000 on this rum-bum situation.
And there is not a contract.
What are we doing?
What's happening?
It is crazy.
And of course, we see Gerald being like,
I don't know if this is a good idea.
Yeah.
Shamiya, I say this with all the love of the world.
She better hope that Gerald never runs out of money
or leaves her because,
I'm concerned.
I feel like she doesn't know how to be in the world.
She's giving them...
What are the $100,000?
I have to imagine most of it has been spent on these butt molds that she's having all the women do.
And like the party?
But that is so classic housewives that you're spending six figures on a party for a partnership that might not even happen.
So Shamias having a Halloween party for this rum bum.
no contract situation.
And she's texted all the ladies,
including Portia.
And of course she did.
Because here's the thing.
Shamiya, I fully believe,
they just had this horrible fight
in Scotland, have not seen each other,
have not talked to each other, they're not gonna.
But Shemia, of course,
is going to invite the whole group.
And she's going to ask all the ladies,
Portia included,
their butt mold for this dumbass guessing game of whose butt mold is that, whose rum bum.
And she's including Portia.
Not because she wants to get along with Portia, not because she wants to extend an olive branch,
as if, like, inviting you to make a butt mold for your own weird rum partnership is like an olive branch.
because she wants Portia to respond to her.
She wants Portia to say something crazy
so she can take it back to the group and be like,
well, I invited Portia.
I wanted her to be here.
I didn't want division in the group.
And look what she did.
Look what she.
Shemia wants to be the victim again in this situation.
And now that she came out talking crazy about Portia's
mom, she's no longer really the victim in the situation.
But Portia's text back is so perfect because it's not actually crazy.
It is concise.
It is clear.
It's not overly personal.
She's not making a dig at Shemia.
She just says, girl, I'm not coming to your damn party.
You are sick as fuck.
please move along enjoy
it's perfect
this is
genius from Porsche
because the thing is
Shia is going to bring this back to the group
she's talking to Kay Michelle
she says
I just feel like I'm damned if I do
damned if I don't if I don't
invite Portia that it's my
and look what she
look what she said to me
and nobody looking at this text
is going to be like, wow, yeah, Portia's evil.
Everybody looking at this text is going to be like, I mean, what did you expect?
What did you expect?
Of course she's not coming.
Girl, you are sick as fuck.
And it's like you are sick ASF, which is like, you, Porsche wrote this text in 12 seconds and didn't think about it again.
And that's exactly as it should be.
Kay says she can't come to Shibia's Halloween party because it's like unchristian.
to celebrate Halloween.
But then she ends up coming,
and she literally says that the confessional casting told her that she needed to come.
I'm like, first of all,
I don't think casting is actually.
I think that's like production.
What are we doing?
We're coming to the Halloween party and saying that production told you you had to go.
Bizarre.
I love Cynthia in her Elmer's glue costume.
She's like, we're going to bring the group back together.
Trust and believe.
But then everything gets messy because,
George, the guy that Shamiya has been accused of sleeping with, is there with his wife.
And, you know, Angela's talking about this complicated game of telephone of who said, who about what, about Shemya, George.
And I can't really keep track of it.
It sounds like George made a joke at a charity event that Shemia looked so good I had to pay her.
And then that got taken a million different directions.
I will just say, there is a lot swirling around about Shamiya's.
roster. And like I said, I think she really needs Gerald. So like, I hope for her sake,
none of it's true because it's going to be a tough day for, for Shia Borton if that man leaves her.
I don't know. It's a tough times. But I don't know, Portia. I'm like, also Portia,
why are you leading on this man that you don't like? She's on the double date bowling with Kaye Michelle
and cast in, and Mike is at the booth at the bowling alley saying he is in love with Portia.
Meanwhile, I'm like, Portia, you don't like this man.
You want to be with sway.
And even if you're not like gay, gay, as she now says she is, you don't like this man
that much.
Mike is giving like corny, right?
I just, ooh, I don't love his vibe.
I mean, but like, like, he seems like nice, but like not for her.
Let him go.
Let him go.
The finale of Atlanta is this week.
I am
I'm like ready to be done with this season.
I'm excited to see the reunion.
I think it could be good.
I've enjoyed the season.
I do feel like Kelly and Shavio, we got to do something.
And I don't know exactly what that means.
But Atlanta finale next week and then the reunion.
And we will see how that goes.

Thank you again to Suja for sponsoring this episode.
I have been loving my Suja loves juice this summer.
This one is the ginger love.
This one is nice because it's a lemon, ginger, and pineapple, so there's like a little bit of sweetness,
but no added sugar.
And the ginger just, something about ginger.
Anytime I'm tasting ginger, I feel like the picture of health.
It's cold, it's juicy, it's summer in a sip, but it also feels like you're kind of like doing something nice for yourself.
So when you're out in about this summer, reach for one of those suja loves.
It's going to do you right.
In this special segment, brought to you by Suja Organic.
I'll be chatting about my current loves list full of pop.
pop culture obsessions that I am absolutely loving right now. So let's get into it. The thing that I want to
focus on this week is there's this show. I don't talk about scripted TV a lot on here because, you know,
we have a lot going on in other spaces. But there's a show that I feel like nobody is talking about
that I want to just give a little bit of love to. And that is this show Rivals that's on, it's on like
Disney Plus or Hulu, whatever bundle you're paying for this month. But it's this British show.
And season two came out like in the last couple months.
And it's set in the 1980s.
And it's very 80s like there's big hair.
There's great, you know, terrible but great fashion.
There's like big, you know, the men have mustaches.
And it's set in this like countryside of England where these rich people are like running a TV station.
But then they're like feuding about there's a rival TV station and everybody is like sleeping with everybody's wives.
It's basically a soap opera.
If you love reality TV, it's really hitting all of those notes.
And I just started the second season.
And I forgot how much I enjoyed this show because it's just like, it just feels like fun in the sun.
They're like playing tennis.
They're maybe, you know, taking off their clothes.
They're fighting.
They're yelling.
They're having fun.
They're jumping in the pool.
It just, it feels like the perfect summer vibe.
And it's already renewed.
they released like half of season one and there's more coming later and then it already got renewed.
So if you start watching it now, there's going to be more.
I would say watch rivals if you want something to kind of like scratch that like drama itch
and watching like six reality shows a week isn't doing it for you.
I would say the other thing is, you know, now we have Real Housewives of London that's airing
on Bravo.
It's on Peacock.
You don't have to figure out the VPN to watch Real Housewives of London anymore.
So that's another thing.
So we're watching Rivals.
We're watching Real House of London.
And also now, God, I guess we're watching House of Stasi.
I don't know.
It comes out this week.
So like when you're listening to this, it'll be out.
And I don't know.
I mean, it's been such a long road with Stasi and, you know, Katie Maloney's on this show
and Christina Kelly's on this show.
If that speaks to you at all.
Never forget the time during the pandemic when I bought.
Christina Kelly's lit bombs off of Etsy.
That was a thing that was happening.
But House of Stasi,
I feel like it's one of those shows where
it might come out this week
and then by next week it feels like it never happened.
But I also feel like there's potential
for it to be kind of like good in the worst way.
And I do, I mean like,
if you're putting in front of me,
Stasi and Katie Maloney arguing in the year 2026,
like who am I to say no to that?
So I feel like we're at least, we're checking out House of Stasi.
Is it on the loves list by next week this time?
Who knows?
But that's where we are for right now.
You know, I still have a little bit of that football fever from the World Cup.
And so I, dare I say, have been, like, dabbling a little bit and watching, like,
major league soccer, the women's soccer league.
It's just, it's fun to have, like, something that you can just put on and it's happening.
and do you really have to pay attention for the whole 90 minutes?
Like, kind of no, but then also if you want to, it's there.
But so, yeah, I've been watching a lot of stuff this summer, obviously, in addition to everything
else that I'm already watching and talking about this summer.
But it's been a good time.
And that's what I'm loving right now.
