Mention It All - Bronwyn’s RHOSLC Reunion Learning Curve

Episode Date: January 23, 2025

To kick off today’s episode, Dylan has updates to share in the saga of James Kennedy and Ally Lewber. He unpacks her Instagram statement, and his hopes for their (separate) futures. From there, he d...ives into the RHOSLC reunion, starting with a rant about how Whitney’s jewelry website still isn’t up to par. He unpacks Whit’s never-ending feud with Lisa, Lisa’s struggle to bury the hatchet with Bronwyn, and Bronwyn’s puzzling storytelling choices when it comes to her $4 million necklace. Things end on a strange note when Lisa shares some questionable receipts, and the husbands show up ready to fight. More to come! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:28 See Store Online for details. Betches Media presents. Ha ha, laugh, funny. Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast. We don't say that, but now we said it. With me, Dylan Hafer. We're going to check me, though. Hey, everyone.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Welcome back to the Mention It All podcast. Back for our final episode of the week. It's been a short week, but also such a long week. So excited to be back one more time. We, of course, have part one of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion to talk about to get into lots going on there. Unpacking reunions is always like an interesting thing because it's like,
Starting point is 00:01:08 okay, so obviously like stuff happens, but also kind of nothing happens. Like when I'm taking notes watching reunion episodes, I'm like, how granular are we getting in some of these conversations? Because like in a normal episode,
Starting point is 00:01:25 we're following like scene to scene. Some scenes are a little more important than others, but in general you're kind of like keeping track of the action. And on the reunion episodes, it's like, okay, so they, they like yapped and argued and chit-chatted for an hour. So then we're going to chit-chat about it some more. But there's some juicy stuff to unpack in part one of the Salt Lake City reunion. So we're going to get into that.
Starting point is 00:01:48 But before we do, we have some updates over in Vanderpump Rules' alumni land, I guess, because they're no longer on the show because nobody's on the show until further notice. but we have some clarity in the James Kennedy Alley-Luber situation. Obviously, this is coming in the wake of last month, James Kennedy's arrest for domestic violence. This situation was a little bit murky, but also really unsettling, upsetting. And we now have some more clarity because yesterday, James Kennedy's attorney made a statement that they had received word, that no charges will be filed against him in the case. this incident. This was kind of, seemed like the way it was heading, but we didn't have confirmation, and his attorney said that James is focusing on his sobriety and his DJ career. You know, it's all
Starting point is 00:02:38 about balance. Focusing on the sobriety is great, but you got to have the DJ career, you know, kicking around too. But the big question mark in all of this was kind of what's going on with him and Ali's relationship. We had seen photos from, you know, the days after the incident in question where they were like loading stuff into Ali's car. I think we knew that she was spent. spending some time away from the house that they lived in together, you know, a stone's throw from the Burbank Airport. I still think about the shady Vanderpump Rules editors, like basically editing in airplane sounds anytime they were filming at their house. But, you know, RAP Vanderpump Rules. But Ali posted last night on her Instagram story, giving us a little bit of updates on what's
Starting point is 00:03:21 going on with her and James. And she said, I'm just going to read from her. Thank you all for your support and kindness. I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges. We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again. However, I was not physically hurt. I was shocked by the headlines and disheartened by how the event was portrayed. We are no longer together, but I'll always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing. Thank you for your understanding. Heart emoji. Wishing him the best with his sobriety and healing, but notably, not with his DJ career. He's focused on both, Allie. No, this statement is, it's interesting. First of all, I mean, the biggest headline here is the confirmation. We are no longer together. This had sort of been the question, you know, I think this is a very classy statement. You know, she's supporting him in his life's journey. But I am, frankly, a little relieved and happy to hear that she is moving on when it comes to her own personal life and relationship journey. It's,
Starting point is 00:04:25 just is like, look, James Kennedy, I wish him well. I hope he's, you know, all good things in the future. But like, the material that we have to go off of, it's not great. And by all accounts, Ali Lubber is a lovely young lady who is, you know, she cares about astrology and astrology and probably reading palms or maybe crystals or, you know, she has a lot of interest. She's seems like a lovely person, a good friend, a caring soul. And it's like, it just feels like a little early in the game to really hit your wagon to somebody like James Kennedy. And we don't know where that wagon is going. And I'm glad that now Allie can like move on, see what's out there. Is it another reality show? Who knows? Is it another astrology business? Probably so. I don't know
Starting point is 00:05:17 what's coming for Allie. I don't know if we'll even really like see more of her. That's the question with all these Vanderpump Rules people. It's like, I talked about this way. when the arrest first happened and when Tom Sandoval was like maybe, maybe breaking up with his girlfriend, it's like, do we care? Are we, what's the expiration date on this? But I, I'm glad to know that Ali is moving on. It is interesting. I mean, she does sort of, depending how you look at it in this statement, does kind of like, out that he was drinking again. I don't, I think that we had sort of deduced that because like we have, you know, brains. But I, I do think that this is maybe like, like, like the clearest confirmation that we've gotten that it was like, yeah, he was drinking again, and that was part of what led to this situation. Obviously, this argument is, seems like it was messed up. I'm glad she's okay. But yeah, I mean, it seemed like James was in a better groove over the last couple of years with his sobriety, so I don't know exactly where he stands with that. I was, you know, I guess glad to see his attorney sort of shout that out in his statement, but
Starting point is 00:06:22 I'm glad that Allie and James are working on themselves in separate spaces. And I hope that they both continue to be well, whatever that means. This also made me think, when are we getting in the trailer for the Valley? Because last season of the Valley premiered, I want to say February, like mid-late February. When are we getting the trailer? When are we getting the premiere date? TikTok, Mia, TikTok. So good, so good.

Starting point is 00:07:23 And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
Starting point is 00:07:46 It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. We have Salt Lake coming to a close in the next couple weeks. We have New York coming to a close in the next couple weeks. Potomac just. has, I think, you know, one or two episodes left before they'll be in reunion season. We need to re-up our Bravo schedule going into the spring. We have Miami done filming. We have Atlanta done filming. We have the Valley done filming. Whatever Godforsaken show, Brooks Marks and one of the
Starting point is 00:08:18 Bierman sisters, I can't remember which. That show, bleak, bleak, bleak, that's probably done filming. Of course, we have Summer House coming back. We have our Charleston shows. that are on the air, but I feel like we need to start with some announcements in the next week or two. That would be appreciated if anybody's listening. With that being said, though, let's just get right into the Salt Lake Reunion. Coming off of this finale, obviously, this is the second season in a row where they have had this big, kind of splashy, iconic finale. I think that this reunion is a little bit less probably, there's less like,
Starting point is 00:09:00 specific anticipation because last year there was the big, you know, bombshell thing of how is Monica going to handle being back in the room with these women? And is there going to be any sense of her apologizing, trying to win her spot back? And this season, there isn't really that kind of like massive question mark hanging over this reunion. There's no, I mean, even with New York now, there's going to be this whole thing with Bryn and Uba. And I think, you know, that reunion is going to be very intense and we'll see. With this Salt Lake reunion, obviously Bronwyn is not in the best place
Starting point is 00:09:37 with some of these women. Obviously, there are other people who have, you know, things to answer for as there are with any housewives reunion. But I wouldn't say that this is like a reunion for the ages, at least what I'm expecting going in, what I'm hoping for going in. And even in the opening moments of the reunion,
Starting point is 00:09:59 when Andy kind of goes around the circle and is like, so does anyone have goals for tonight or things that you'd really like to clear up or things that you'd like to work on? Or just sort of like a, you know, something that's like on the docket. Bronwyn is first to go and she's like, you know, well, it's my first season and watching it back.
Starting point is 00:10:21 There are a lot of things that I feel I've realized and learned. And I have some apologies to make. And, you know, that's nice. But the only other person who really chimes in is Whitney, respectfully delusional Whitney, being like, I'd like to get to the bottom of my issues with Lisa. And I also like to get a word in if that could be arranged. And to me, it's like, it's the exact same thing that she kind of did with the text message game with Lisa, where she is making the gesture of saying, I want to work through things.
Starting point is 00:10:58 I want to get to the bottom of our issues. I want to make progress with you. But then at the same time, she's kind of throwing in a dig. She's kind of baiting Lisa into being offensive in a way that, like, I don't know if there ever is a path forward for Whitney and Lisa, because I do feel like Lisa's issues with Whitney are, sure, partially based on things that she has done or things that she has said. but also I think that Lisa just like doesn't like her.
Starting point is 00:11:31 And I think sometimes with housewives, there's so much like scandal and receipts and in conversation and behind the scenes and everything that we forget that sometimes people just like get on your nerves and you just like don't fuck with someone because of their vibe or their energy or their kind of like way of existing in the world. And I think Lisa enjoys hating Whitney. Lisa is like that scene earlier in the season before they go on the Mexico trip when she's like, this trip is going to be really interesting because Meredith hates Angie.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Heather hates so-and-so. Angie hates so-and-so. And I hate Whitney. She is loving hating Whitney. And I think that anything Whitney says at this reunion, and frankly, I don't even think Whitney's going to put in that much of an effort to really, like, clear the air with Lisa. But like, I don't think there's anything Whitney could say at this point that's going to get Lisa to be like, you know, you're right. We are both hardworking entrepreneurs and women and mothers.
Starting point is 00:12:34 And we should just lay our acts down and be friends. They just don't fuck with each other. And I think that, you know, five seasons into this, there's been a lot of friendship, hot potato with this group and everybody's had issues with everybody else at one point or another. but I think Whitney and Lisa is kind of the most enduring rift in this group, and I don't think it's really based on anything specific. If you don't like the girl, you don't like the girl. And why pretend? Why pretend otherwise? Good sleep is everything.
Starting point is 00:13:15 That's why Ali's science back support is made with a blend of melatonin and L-Dienine for both kiddos and grown-ups. Visit Red Bull. slash bright summer ahead to learn more. See you this summer. Whitney is wearing her, um, her prism jewelry. She says it's her new collection. I looked on the website.
Starting point is 00:14:12 I do not see the necklace she's wearing. I just am like, what are we doing with the prism jewelry? Because I don't want to be rude. I don't want to be catty. But like, you're wearing the necklace to the reunioner saying it's your new collection. I look on the website. It's not there. Either the website's not working or I can't figure out how to work the website or Whitney's not doing a very good. of showcasing her product because I should be watching. I should say that necklace is so fucking cute. I need it. Or, you know, somebody should. And they should be able to go to the website and buy it.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I don't know. I also don't think she does a very good job of explaining this Alibaba rumor because she's like, Andy, let me clear this out. Let me clear up the Alibaba rumor. We put pictures on our website as placeholders. and then we do our own photo shoots. So the only photo, that photo was on the website for 72 hours
Starting point is 00:15:10 while my partner was in Vancouver doing a photo shoot because we shoot all of our stuff on models. I still, the question stands. The same photo was on your website and on Alibaba. So she's saying that this is their, their more affordable fashion collection that is curated,
Starting point is 00:15:30 that's separate from, the more expensive stuff that they design. And she's like, I have a tattoo of one of my designs. I wouldn't get a tattoo of something that's from Alibaba. Fair enough. Nor would I. But, like, if you're looking at her website, and this is where I did the research. I was on the PRISM jewelry website.
Starting point is 00:15:50 All the photos I was seeing were just the jewelry on a white background with no model or anything. I mean, they have, like, model photos around the website, But, like, if you're looking at the individual products, the first photos that come up are just these, like, standard photos of the jewelry with no, I don't know. I'm like, I don't actually, I'm not convinced. If you're curating from this, maybe you have, maybe you have a nicer version and Alibaba has the knockoff of the same thing. It's just a little confusing. And I think that probably, I'm not saying that she gets her jewelry from Alibaba. but like I don't think that the truth is as clear cut as Whitney is suggesting that it is.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Either way, she says that she's, you know, Lisa's like, she said she had proof of, of me being the person that was the rumor and she never showed proof. So that's why I don't believe her. Whitney says that she doesn't need to show the proof because Lisa has the phone number of the person who she heard the rumor. It's, it's all a mess. And this is where Whitney, like, I think that Whitney has kind of like a crime. issue of really believing to her core that she is right or really wanting to be right so bad, but she's kind of continually not that good at explaining herself, proving her point, making other people see what she's saying and understand what she's saying and believe her. And that's where, like, going all the way back to the beginning of the season with the whole,
Starting point is 00:17:24 you know, Nick Viol podcast thing, it just feels like, Whitney, she struggles to get her point across in a way that is always going to have her kind of on the back foot in a show like this because you're on a cast with women. Lisa, Meredith, Angie, they're just going to yell over you at a certain point. And if you're not making sense, they're not just going to be like, oh, yeah, okay, that sounds right. It's funny to me after five years to still kind of like struggle in that way, to come to the reunion. and she didn't have any receipts about the Alibaba thing. I just feel like that's one of those situations where,
Starting point is 00:18:00 especially because it's about her business, wouldn't you be like making 200% sure you're like crossing all your teas and dotting all your eyes? I don't know. It feels like a missed opportunity for her. I did like to see right off the bat. Mary says, I'm here, I'm clocked in. I'm excited to see more from her in the coming parts because I feel like we didn't get a lot of Mary this episode. We also haven't seen Brittany yet, but in the little intros, Andy tells Angie, she's like,
Starting point is 00:18:28 so I hear you and Mary, you and Brittany showed up in the same dress. And she's like, yeah, I won, though. I got to keep the dress. And she's like, I'm good for the economy because I keep my clothes and don't return them. The women in this group are obsessed with who owns their clothes, who rents their clothes, who returns their clothes. You know, Lisa says you can go in her. because she has overflowing closets,
Starting point is 00:18:54 because everything she's ever worn is in there. It's such a specific, funny thing to be up in arms about who returns clothes, who rents clothes, who borrows clothes. Because it's like, at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:19:08 if you're all mostly only wearing this shit once, it doesn't matter. Like, your reunion gown, obviously, like, I guess, for, like, historical purposes, it's cool to have it. in your closet hanging there. But by definition, most of these women are never going to wear these clothes again.
Starting point is 00:19:29 So if they're rented, it's like maybe Angie thinks that it's good for the economy that she doesn't return her clothes. Sustainability-wise, get that shit from rent the runway. You're going to look great. And then somebody else is going to be able to wear it next week. Some girl is going to show up to her friend's wedding wearing the dress that somebody else wore to a housewife's reunion. And I think that's beautiful. Yeah, like, I think we should be celebrating people renting clothes. I mean, buying and wearing and returning, perhaps not.
Starting point is 00:20:00 That's a little more, like, scummy. But, like, renting clothes, I think is a great thing. People don't own the dresses they wear to the Oscars. Nobody is saying, oh, wow, Emma Stone couldn't afford to own that gown. No, she doesn't want it. You wear it once. You send it back. Your stylist, you know, gets a cut.
Starting point is 00:20:20 You have your nice, like, cushy deal, whatever. Like, it just, it's so stupid. It's honestly very similar to when they fight on these shows about who owns their home versus who rents. And it's like, different things make different sense for different people for a multitude of reasons. And look, I enjoy hearing them argue about it, but in a real world sense, it just is not that deep. But there's a lot of friendship back and forth on this episode. I feel like Lisa is in the hot seat for the most part because we start with talking about this like Angie
Starting point is 00:20:54 and Lisa kind of parenting digs thing that happened early in the season. This season was not that long, but when we're talking about things that happened on that Milwaukee trip, I feel like I have lived so many lives since then. Like Angie making the comment about Lisa's kids playing too many video games and then Lisa making the comment about Angie calling Elektra 500 million times. It's like, wow, I feel like I was so young when they were talking about that.
Starting point is 00:21:31 And now I feel so old. My bones are creaky. It's 12 degrees outside. Everyone's miserable all the time. And so to be taken back to simpler times in Milwaukee, talking about whether Lisa Barlow is a bad mom. It warms my heart just a little bit. Angie and Lisa still not doing great.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Angie says she feels like her and Lisa were actually okay. Like they had a little conversation. They made up a little bit. Until the finale, when, as you'll recall, Angie sort of caught astray when Lisa suggested that her husband participates in circle jerks. So that wasn't a great moment. And Angie says that she's kind of waited to have this conversation with Lisa until
Starting point is 00:22:14 the reunion. Thank you to her. because, of course, we always appreciate when the ladies are committed to keeping things on camera. But this tweet that we see a couple times from Angie about Lisa is, like, just chef's kiss, because it's like these women talk about how they're like mothers and not wanting to hurt each other. And then you see a tweet like this, and it's like, just chef's kiss. So this is Angie. My lips are as full as my life.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Thanks to my doctor, who I pay with my own Amex card. not a Park City mystery man's. Unlike Lisa's G-Wagon, my lips can't get repoed. I'm not your bestie in prison, so I'm not interested in a gang bang, but it's cute. You two had to team up. Night. Hashtag R.H.OS, I'll see. My lips can't get repoed. That's, she's right. You know, the IRS isn't going to come and, you know, suck the filler out of your lips. They can take the car. It is funny though because Lisa's car didn't get repoed. I think that's just factual at this point. And Lisa's like, I don't know why you would say that because if you look in my garage,
Starting point is 00:23:26 there's a brand new to a 2025 Porsche and another Porsche 911 on the way, 9-11. So like literally why would my G-Wagon get repode if we have two Porsches? And it's like it's a whole back and forth because, you know, we don't know where this room. came from, Heather says that Angie said that Bronwyn told her that the car was getting repowed, and then Bronwyn is like, look, somebody just slid into my DMs and said that. And when I brought it up, I was basically being like, why are people sending stuff like this to me? Bronwyn definitely had like a bit of a learning curve this season. And I think it is, it's interesting to hear her kind of acknowledge that and talk about it at the reunion in a few different instances. You know, I think
Starting point is 00:24:10 even the sort of unfortunate series of events that happened regarding her daughter and, you know, Lisa bringing up Gwen's grandparents and the possibility that they were maybe going to meet each other. And I think that Bronwyn, you know, bringing that up on camera, she probably regrets it. But then once the, you know, once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it's really hard to put it back in. And I think that the sort of production timeline of all that and the things that aren't necessarily everyone's aware of, where after they had that scene at the spa where they were talking about it, Bronwyn says that she asked production to cut out certain parts of that scene to basically protect Gwen and not have these sort of like identifying characteristics about her, you know, her grandparents or this situation out there. And Lisa, from her perspective, which I don't think Lisa has. handled this beautifully. Like, I think that that's clear. But when she's saying, I went to tape the after show. It's before the episodes have aired. I don't know that Bronwyn has gone to
Starting point is 00:25:23 production. Bronwyn really, I mean, I don't think that anybody is necessarily to blame for this, but I think that looking at all of the cards on the table, when Bronwyn told production or asked production not to include that on the episode, she probably also should have told Lisa and said, hey, by the way, I know we have that conversation on camera. I don't know exactly what they're going to air, but I asked them to really trim a lot of that out and leave out a lot of the details. So I would appreciate it if in your interviews or your confessionals or after show or watch what happens live, Twitter, whatever. I mean, Lisa Barlow, she's going to speak on it. And so I think Bronwyn probably in hindsight should have also reached out.
Starting point is 00:26:09 even if she and Lisa weren't on great footing at that point, I don't know exactly when it was, and said, hey, I would just really appreciate this is a sensitive situation. It's about my daughter. It's about my family. I know that we had one conversation on camera, but if we could just sort of like not delve into it from here. Because I don't think Lisa, I mean, I think Lisa is a bad friend in many situations. In this case, I don't, I don't think that she was trying to hurt Bronwyn. I think that the... the comment she made about Gwen's grandparents being under the impression that Bronwyn had had a miscarriage and essentially not knowing that they had a granddaughter, I don't think that she was
Starting point is 00:26:52 accusing Bronwyn of faking a miscarriage. I think that it's understandable that Bronwyn sort of feels like maybe that was what happened. But again, I think that Lisa, in this specific scenario, kind of is stuck between the rock and the hard place because she, It seems like, honestly, is better friends with Gwen's grandparents than she maybe was with Bronwyn. And so she's not going to say, yeah, fuck them. I'm only sorry for you. She's going to say everybody's feelings were hurt. Everybody felt bad about this.
Starting point is 00:27:25 It's a bad situation for everyone. And I actually, I don't think that, I don't think that's a cop out on Lisa's part because I think she really is stuck in the middle here. But I also like, you know, Bronwyn kind of talks about watching the show back and what she learned. and that she kind of realized watching the show that she wasn't as close with Lisa as she thought she was, and that she felt like her dynamic with Lisa was closer than that of kind of like a social friend, and that watching the show she realizes that kind of Lisa handles her relationships with everyone more or less the same way, and that she wasn't getting any special treatment. And it's funny because I feel like a lot of the time this would be a source of friction,
Starting point is 00:28:08 and somebody would say, we weren't as close as I thought we were, and Lisa would be like, well, that's just on you, like you, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Lisa's kind of just like, yeah, that's right. We were social friends. And I think that if you think about sort of the arc of the season, there was this kind of consistent push and pull where Bronwyn was hoping for more out of Lisa and expecting more out of Lisa and asking for more out of Lisa. And from Lisa's perspective, kind of the whole season,
Starting point is 00:28:38 And she's just kind of like, we're friends. It is what it is. What do you want for me? Like, you're my friend. End of sentence. That doesn't mean that I'm going to spend the whole season, you know, carrying you on my back and shielding you from any attacks or anything like that. And I don't think Lisa feels bad about that.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Obviously, I think that this situation with Gwen is its own kind of isolated thing. But otherwise, I think Lisa just kind of feels like, yeah, like this is how it goes. We're friends. sometimes we fight, sometimes we get along, that's what being a friend is like on housewives. Unless you are that rare, that rare dynamic of like a true bond that isn't really strategic on the show, which again, rare, you're going to have that push and pull. You're going to feel let down by the other person. The other person's going to, you know, not always defend you. And you kind of have to either, you have to either accept that and sort of just let that be what it is or go the other direction.
Starting point is 00:29:38 burn the bridge and say, now we're fighting. I don't know what's going to happen next season. I do think Bronwyn should definitely be back next season because, like, there's a reason we're spending so much time talking about her. She did well this season, but tough. Just good learnings, I think, from her. And I also feel like she kind of, she and Whitney kind of opened the door a little bit at the reunion because Whitney feels like for a lot of the season,
Starting point is 00:30:04 Bronwyn was kind of shitty to her. And there's that, you know, going back to the beginning of the season. when Bronwyn was like telling Whitney to her face that she's iconic and XYZ. And then on the, you know, the remember, never forget the official Wendy's memorial car ride that they went on, she's talking shit about Whitney behind her back. And Heather was confused and that's kind of why she didn't like Bronwyn from the jump. I think that going into next season, there's a lot more potential for Bronwyn and Whitney to build a friendship because Bronwyn isn't going to feel like she needs to be loyal to Lisa as much.
Starting point is 00:30:40 And I think that that is going to be hopefully kind of a blessing for her on Housewives because she's not going to feel like she needs to be making her friendship decisions with Lisa Barlow in mind as much. And I think anybody who can come into a season of Housewives as kind of like a free agent in a way, it gives you a lot more opportunities. It gives you a lot of room to explore what works for you and what doesn't work for you within the group. And I think Bronwyn has a lot of opportunity going into next season.
Starting point is 00:31:11 The thing that I would like to just, like, still ask for clarity about... So, Bronwyn's story about this necklace that she did or didn't buy in Palm Springs has changed, like, four times, right? Like, she said she bought the $4 million necklace, and then at the reunion, she says that they created a smaller, version of the necklace that she purchased. We haven't seen the smaller version. We don't know the price tag. A smaller version of a $4 million necklace could be $3.8 million or could be like a lot less than that. So I, like, I'm not out here checking, you know, Bronwyn and Todd's tax returns. I mean like, how much money did you spend on the diamonds? But it is, it is a little weird that she like definitely, at the very least, she led us to believe that she purchased the
Starting point is 00:32:04 necklace that we saw on the show. And then she now is saying, well, I didn't buy that one. She bought the hoop earrings. She bought the smaller version of the necklace. The whole text thing from, what's her name? Emma, the jeweler to Lisa is fucking weird, though. And the fact that everyone in the group thinks it's weird is so telling. Because these women are all, they are like deep in their phones of like getting DMs
Starting point is 00:32:31 from people, getting texts, being sent receipts, being tagged in the stuff. These women, like, nobody on this show, and I believe this, nobody on the show is above receiving something and deciding to use it. But the fact that everyone is like, it's very strange that this woman who you haven't spoken to in two years is texting you out of the blue to tell you what another customer on the show did or didn't purchase from her is like super weird and shady, makes it, you know, like, they're like, well, now I'm not going to shop with her because why would she do that. And Andy's reading the texts and he's like, this is weird. I think like, look, again, I think nobody on the show is above using something that somebody sends to them.
Starting point is 00:33:12 But, like, I think Lisa leaning into that on this reunion was maybe a little bit of a miscalculation. Because the fact that nobody was really buying that it was fully unsolicited on her end, but also just like everybody felt weird about it. And when you have a good receipt, it should come out and it should make your case look better. and it should dispel questions about your side of the street. Like, you should be cleaning up your side of the street and making somebody else's look worse. And I think that sharing those receipts about the jewelry,
Starting point is 00:33:44 yes, it called into question maybe if Bronwyn, if Bronwyn was, like, painting some fake picture about the jewelry purchase, but it also made Lisa look shady. So, I don't know about the jewelry thing. I don't know if we've heard the last of that. I do feel like I haven't looked at Bronwyn's, social media today, but I'm like, girl, post the necklace. Post the jewelry. If you have the hoops, wear the hoops. She should have worn it to the reunion. At the very end, we see the
Starting point is 00:34:12 husbands show up. Todd is, you know, puffing his chest. John Barlow is puffing his chest. They're telling each other to watch their tones. Nothing good can come from this. But we will see more of the husbands, I suppose, next week. But that's where we're going to leave it for today. A good part one reunion under the belt. We've got more to talk about. We'll be back on Monday. We're going to talk about traders. We're going to catch up on Southern Charm. We've got Potomac to talk about lots going on, and I can't wait to get into all of it.
