Dorit and Kyle have another tough conversation, while Sutton and Garcelle are determined not to become minions. Earlier in the episode, Dylan has some feedback for West on his social media sharing, which isn’t doing him any favors going into this season of Summer House. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:28 Betches Media presents Ha ha ha laugh funny Mention It All A Bravo by Betches podcast We don't say that but now we said it With me Dylan Hafer Hey everyone Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast
Starting point is 00:00:48 It's Wednesday And what a Wednesday it is Because we have another double housewives moment To talk through Of course Beverly Hills every Wednesday And weirdly Rony is kind of crept back up into feeling like a must talk about show every week.
Starting point is 00:01:07 I feel like there was a point in the middle of the season where we would go a few weeks kind of being like, and we don't have to talk about that other thing that happens on Tuesday nights, but these last few weeks, something has happened, and I don't know if it's something good, because a show being worthy of discussion is not always the same as a show being high quality or really entertaining. But watching the first part of the Roney reunion,
Starting point is 00:01:33 Union. The first part of two, it's just a two-parter, which I think was the right call. Watching the first part, I found myself really engaged. Dare I say, I cried a couple times. I was on the emotional roller coaster just with all of these ladies. I think that in a weird way, this season kind of never really got off the ground the way we wanted it to. For better or for worse, I feel like this season has given us a dynamic set of reunion topics and just sort of like the vibes within this group right now are interesting. And again, I think that it's not a situation where this reunion is going to salvage the whole season and we bring everyone back and everybody's hunky dory. But like, it's not a bad reunion, I think. Now I'm nervous for
Starting point is 00:02:28 part two. I don't want to overhype it. But before we get into the nitty gritty, of those two episodes. I want to, I want to divert our attention to Summerhouse a little bit. Summerhouse coming back in a couple weeks. I had the pleasure of talking to Kyle and Amanda. So that episode is going to be coming out the week of the premiere. But before we get there, our friend West Wilson, and I use the term friend loosely, whatever, he posted on Twitter, ex, sorry, x.com the other day, which I am, I'm still on X, Twitter. I feel like we we should start calling it X now because, like, Elon Musk sucks so bad that I'm like, I don't want to think of this as like the Twitter that I spent my 2010s on, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:16 making my little jokes and laughing with my friends. Like, this is like a weird, like, toxic place. And I feel like we should label it as such. I'm still on X. I haven't posted, though, in a while. I still use it for work. I feel like it still is like a, you know, it's, it's worth being on there to like see what people are saying. And in that sense, West Wilson, what do we call it? Zid, exed, exed? He tweeted the other day. I can't do it. He tweeted a screenshot of a Slack message from one of his company channels. And if you haven't had the great good fortune of using Slack, wow. Slack is, it's something that has, um, something that has taken hold of my life for the last five years, and I'm sure many of you feel the same. It's a work
Starting point is 00:04:08 messaging platform. If some of you use teams, maybe, some of you use Google, whatever the fuck they call it, there's different options, but everybody has different Slack channels. I feel like I'm explaining this to a five-year-old. You figure it out. But so West, last we forget, still has a real job, not to denigrate anybody's, you know, other source of income. Bryn Whitfield, who knows what it is. She does the same job as sigh apparently. But so West works at Complex. And, you know, last season he was like an unemployed freelance, whatever, sports journalist, media, whatever. He got a job. He works at Complex. And this is in a Slack channel called Talent Social Video 2. I love the two on the end because
Starting point is 00:04:53 that implies that there's a talent social video channel. And on Slack, you can't make a second channel that has the same name as the first channel, but this has 28 members in it. So this is not an intimate group chat. And somebody says, at channel, any interest in Summerhouse star Sierra Miller, ahead of next season, she's avail early Feb. Now, I don't want to get into too much, you know, how the sausage is made in the media industry. This is a normal ass slack message in a channel with 28 people to gauge interest on potential talent. And the thing about Bravo and the thing about Summerhouse is that not everybody watches it. Not everybody gives one single bit of a fuck who Sierra Miller is, who's on Summer House. I don't know how big complex is. I don't know how many people work
Starting point is 00:05:37 there, what the company culture is. This person might not even know that West exists or is on a TV show or had a thing with a girl on a TV show and then kind of screwed her over and then talk to the to the press about it. This person is doing their job. This person is trying to book some talent. And look, it's a struggle out here. You're trying to get opportunities wherever you can. Sierra is a good get. She's on Summerhouse and Traders right now. Who's not trying to book Sierra? I mean, Sierra, you can come back on the podcast whenever you want. But in this screenshot that West posted, he just responds to this message. Let me just say, he responds the same minute that it was sent, 12, 18 p.m. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. So good, so good.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Everything you want for summer is at Nordstrom Rack stores now and up to 60% off. Stock up and save on the brands you love like Vince, Sam Edelman, Frame, and Free People. Join the Norty Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more. Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at Pills.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
Starting point is 00:07:23 It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. You know, you can emoji react to messages on Slack. And so a lot of the time if you're like cracking jokes or whatever, whatever, you're trying to get, like, the most people to respond to your message. So the initial message has one emoji reaction of somebody peeking through their hands in front of their eyes. And then West's ha ha ha ha ha, reaction has four laughing emojis and one side eye emoji.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Here's the thing. I think this is a great Slack interaction. I think that this needed to stay in the group chat. Because West posted this screenshot and he said, all-time work slack today. And here's the thing. First of all, I feel like your work jokes are never as funny as you think they are. Like, whether it's, whether it's you and your co-worker, like, you know, shaking your salads at lunch or some TikTok you made or a Slack inside joke, nobody actually cares that much. But then this is just like, it's a little messy.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Because the thing is, when your work inside joke, your funny Slack message is something that, A, millions of people are aware of this situation. And B, it involves another person. You don't think 100 people are going to send this to Sierra, and then it's not going to continue to impact whatever this dynamic they have. I got to tell you, no spoilers. I have seen the Summer House season 9 premiere. West and Sierra are not getting off on a great foot. They're not buddy, buddy, hanging out with each other.
Starting point is 00:09:01 The vibes are not good. And I just feel like West, I enjoyed him a lot last season. I'm hoping to enjoy him a lot this season. I don't think that we need to be like 100% anti-West to like Sierra or, you know, whatever. It's not that deep. But shit like this, I'm like, babe, keep it offline. It's not as cute as you think it is. And I think that, you know, some of these bravo leberties, they just need to learn when something is like a good joke versus when it's about.
Starting point is 00:09:33 joke. Actually, I think that Page de Sorbo has been doing a great job of kind of doing some light shades, some funny commentary, some maybe like miniature clapbacks at stuff about her breakup with Craig. And I think that that's kind of like, it doesn't feel like she's punching down at all. Like, she just commented on a TikTok yesterday that comments by Bravo posted where, you know, that TikTok trend where it's like this and Yap or this and something else. else. And so somebody posted a video of them pouring a glass of white wine and just said, this and quote, did you hear Craig unfollowed page? And page just comments on the video, how did you not spill? Like the wine, the wine that's being poured. That's the kind of thing where it's like, it doesn't hurt anybody.
Starting point is 00:10:20 She's like, she's like tipping her cap to the fact that people are talking about her. But she's not like actually being shady or, you know, it doesn't feel like she's pulling, pulling Craig into her social media behavior in a way. It was the same as a couple weeks ago when she was at the, what was it, the Eagles game, some football game with some guy and people were speculating and digging and trying to find out who it was. And her response to that was basically like, look, I'm going to be outside a lot. So if you want to read into everybody I'm talking to, everybody I'm hanging out with. Everybody I, maybe I'm even going to be smooch in and holding hands out in public.
Starting point is 00:11:03 If you want to read into all of that, have fun. Paige is not going to get married to the next guy she makes out with. So at the end of the day, you're kind of just like giving her more attention and also wasting your own time a little bit. But I think it would be Hoove West to just chill a little bit. It's going to be a long season. And I think we can all just just chill a little bit. with the other thing I saw, I completely forgot about this until right now. You know how Jennifer Aiden,
Starting point is 00:11:33 you know, got herself in some hot water for dragging like an 80-year-old Jersey Mike's employee at the airport a few weeks ago. Derinda responded to this in the funniest way. She posted on her Instagram story yesterday. She's like, just walking through the train station, and she's like, I think I'd be going to go get Jersey bikes. I never had Jersey mics before. Let's see how it is. And then she took it. And then she takes it. a video at Jersey Mike. She's like, have you heard Jersey bikes? They're all so nice. They're telling me what's sandwich to get. It's so good. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then she posts on the fucking Amtrak train eating her Jersey mics. She's like, it's really good. It was a little spicy. I had a great experience at Jersey bikes. First of all, like, I need to know who even
Starting point is 00:12:14 filled her in about this Jennifer Aiden Jersey Mike scenario because it's so funny to think about Derinda, like, being up to date on this minor scandal that Jennifer Aiden was embroiled in that caused her to get fired from a housewives cruise. But then like she really, it looked like she's just alone at the train station and it's like, this would be funny. I love that energy so much because she doesn't even mention Jen. She doesn't, you know, it's not shady. There's no, like, I mean, it's a little shady, but there's no like, it's just like good, clean fun in a way that I feel like we don't get enough of. That being said, Derinda, come back. It's crazy. I feel like Dervinda's having such a moment right now. I saw her briefly on
Starting point is 00:13:03 last Friday at Kyle Cook's fire benefit fundraiser DJ night. She looked great. She was the bell of the ball. She got in, got out. She didn't stay long, which I love for her. People are hungry for Dremenda. And I know that sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for. And, you know, last time we had Rony Legacy, it didn't necessarily go according to plan, but like, I miss her. Bring back my girl. I guess we should talk about other Rony then. I alluded to it a little bit before. Good sleep is everything.

See you this summer. but I did enjoy as a, maybe not exactly the right word, but I was, I was pretty locked into this episode of the reunion. And starting from the beginning, you know, we're always now behind the fourth wall showing everyone arriving and Andy doing his little rounds and people figuring out how to prepare and yada, yada, yada. And what was super interesting to me, now, usually at these reunions, they're obviously taping before the end of the season has aired. And so these women usually get sent the last handful of episodes to watch leading up to the reunion. Now, I have heard that sometimes it can be like literally the day before they get a dump of half a dozen episodes. Sometimes I think they have a little bit longer to catch up.
Starting point is 00:15:18 I don't know exactly what happened for this reunion. But, you know, you do have to sit down and watch usually probably four or five episodes at least to get caught up through the end of the season. to know what the fuck you're talking about at the reunion. And I thought it was so telling, but also unsurprising that when Bryn walks in the morning of the reunion, she is watching the finale on her phone and is like halfway through. And so she's watching this whole messy-ass finale unfold. The whole thing at the house in Puerto Rico that night, the whole thing with her in Uba, all of that is unfolding on her phone as she's like sitting in the makeup chair, getting ready to go out for the reunion.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And look, I don't know what her schedule was that week. I don't know if that was her procrastinating or her, but it seemed like she genuinely didn't think that it was going to be that bad for her. And then she's sitting there in the chair watching this, like tearing up as she's getting her makeup done. And basically repeating all the stuff that she repeated during the episode, which is like, these girls don't care about me. Why are they taking Uba's side?
Starting point is 00:16:36 All of this. It feels like that was six or seven months ago. And she's just kind of stayed in the exact same place and hasn't learned anything, hasn't examined anything. And seemingly like isn't really able or willing or interested in. digging a little deeper. And it's, it's unfortunate because Brin is somebody who is obviously a smart person, you know, she is a strategic thinker. You know, she has a lot of brain power and capacity for thought, which sounds like a crazy thing to say, because it's like we all, we all have brains, but not, not every housewife has a lot of capacity for thought. Let's be real. One of my good friends is
Starting point is 00:17:24 watching Real Housewives of Atlanta from the beginning for the first time right now. and the texts I'm getting about Kim Zolsiak, the capacity for thought there is less. I'm sorry, it's less. But Brin being somebody who on paper is a very smart, whatever person, it's like, can we really not peel back any of the layers? Can we not dig even just a little bit deeper? And I'm kind of feeling, I mean, it's a different situation,
Starting point is 00:17:55 but I'm sort of feeling the same way watching Kyle a little bit on Real Houseways of Beverly Hills, where it's like, are we really unable to put ourselves in somebody else's shoes and see for a second why maybe what we're doing or what we're saying or how we're acting is not coming across the way that we think it might be. It's frustrating and it's unfortunate because it does feel watching this reunion, there are some moments that are really genuinely emotional. It feels like there is still a lot of care there in this group, but that when push comes to shove in a lot of these specific situations, the way that Jessel feels really hurt to the core
Starting point is 00:18:46 by a comment that Bryn made on the show that I don't think Bryn has thought about for one second since it left her mouth. And so then at this reunion, Union, Bryn thinks that she and Jusel are perfectly fine. And Jusel is starting from like square zero having to explain that, no, when you say on camera that I said that I don't love, that my husband is not, you know, the love of my life, when that's literally not what I said, that isn't just like a thing that is frustrating or hurtful or, you know, upsetting to me. I have to sit there and watch that with my husband.
Starting point is 00:19:28 I know that people in my family are watching that. And then Jessel is stuck on the defense being like, that's not what I said. She's misrepresenting. And look, Jessel and Pavett's relationship clearly isn't perfect. But in that moment, it makes sense that he would be like, well, why would she say that if you didn't, if it's not what you said? And in this case, luckily for Jessel, I think everybody agrees that. that like, no, we were talking about what was our craziest hookup.
Starting point is 00:20:00 And she said that it wasn't her husband, that it was like this X. But there are cases where Bryn is maybe spinning a little web or saying something that's, you know, either partially untrue or fully made up or whatever, where you might not be able to prove the other version of events. And I think that that's sort of like, I mean, we don't really get into. to the um the Puerto Rico situation with her and uba in this episode. I'm assuming that'll be a main focus of the second part. I think that's why the situation in Puerto Rico was so yucky because it was really brin's word against uba's and because it was just the two of them in this conversation that
Starting point is 00:20:44 it sounds like I mean we talked about this last week it sounds like it was a really chaotic conversation Bryn isn't 100% sure what Uba heard or, you know, intook. She says she's 100% sure that she said it. But Uba is saying that she didn't hear it. And I think that I don't think that Brin necessarily is always lying. I think that people are sort of using these specific scenarios to paint her as somebody who lies 100% of the time. I just think that she is a little, maybe more than a little careless with things she throws out there, things she says. She kind of thinks like everything is a cheeky little joke.
Starting point is 00:21:31 And I think that the Jessel's situation is a really good, clear, you know, black and white example of how you felt like that was like a funny little comment to make. And it had like negative impacts in my personal life. And so I don't think that Bryn is going to be back on this show. And so perhaps it's a little bit of a moot point in terms of like, is she going to learn from this? Is she going to grow from this? Like, I don't really care what's happening like in her, you know, text conversation with Gideon about whether they're going to have a baby together. But I do feel like it does, it does feel like how could she sit through this reunion and not have a little bit of a sense of like, oh, I got to, I got to rain it in a little bit. Like, I got to be, like, a little more careful with what I say.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Because I'm, I'm kind of running around wreaking havoc a little bit. And look, having somebody be, like, a little bit of a, you know, Tasmanian devil, like, that's fun. But there have to be lines. And if there aren't lines, then, like, how are you ever going to have friends and be, you know, in a group? And I don't know. I did, like, the moments that I got emotional, because I mentioned that I cried a couple times, Aaron talking about her father just so brutal. I mean, it's so sad. And I think that that's something that everybody can just like understand and appreciate. And then this, toward the end, when Brin is talking
Starting point is 00:22:58 about her experience with sexual assault, and I think that that was actually a really powerful moment of the reunion. Because you know that almost every, on these couches has, to varying degrees, an issue with Bryn. She has made everybody upset. She has gotten into it with pretty much everyone. But in that moment, when she was talking about it and when Andy was asking her some, I don't know if I loved all the questions that Andy was asking, like it felt like she was getting grilled a little bit. And I'm like, we can grill her about a lot of other things, but like we maybe don't need to be like, and why didn't you go to the police? And why didn't you? Blah, blah, blah, blah. But it felt like every woman is, and it felt like every woman
Starting point is 00:23:41 in that group was really like present in that moment and really like holding the space for that in a way that I think it was necessary to. And watching Uba's, Uba's face listening to during that, that's what got me because Uba obviously got sort of dragged into the situation from the side in that season finale and was so upset and so hurt. the way that that all unfolded, but the way that at the reunion, she was able to sort of, like, be there and be present with what Bryn was going through in that moment. It really was, like, a great moment for Uba, I think. And, like, I think it's nice that we can have those, like, small moments of really, like,
Starting point is 00:24:37 understanding and connecting. And that's when sort of all the, like, both. shit and conflict and whatever kind of falls away for a second and doesn't feel that important. I don't think it's going to last. I think we have a lot more to talk about in episode two. And I think I'm not necessarily looking forward to the discussion of that night in Puerto Rico, because knowing the way that Bryn kind of moves through these situations, I think that it's probably going to be a frustrating conversation to watch. And I have, I would guess that like most of the women in the cast will feel frustrated with how Bryn chooses or chooses not to handle it.
Starting point is 00:25:20 But I don't know. I mean, overall, like I said, this episode had a lot going on. And I think that it shows at the very least that I think there are bones to this show and to this group that are worth salvaging. And I, you know, we saw this week, Shed, which is the production company for Roney, hosted, that they're casting for this show. This is a normal thing. This doesn't, you know, people were saying like, oh, does this mean everyone's fired? No, shows cast every season. You know, sometimes they have one slot to fill. Sometimes they have more. But it's a normal thing, but it does at least indicate that they are pushing forward with the future of Roney. They might take some time off. They
Starting point is 00:26:07 might make some big tweaks. But I think that within this cast, I mean, watching Jessel handle herself on the reunion, watching even the Cy and Jessel thing, wait, where, okay, so Cy said that Jessel's husband looks like Dory from Finding Nemo, which I don't, I don't disagree with. And so she declines to apologize for that. And then Andy is like, well, does Pavit want to apologize to Cy for calling her a bipolar bitch? and watching Jessel like PR response the hell out of this where she's like, yeah, so we've talked about it a lot. And Pavitt is, he's thinking about deciding whether to apologize. But he's not sure, but he thinks that he might want to think about it.
Starting point is 00:27:01 And so we will keep thinking about it. And it's like, girl, just apologize. Like, I'm sorry. The dory comment was funny. Calling, a man calling a woman in this group a bipolar bitch, just apologize. Say that you don't like her outfit or say that she's annoying. Don't call her a bipolar bitch.
Starting point is 00:27:23 We can do better than that. And, I mean, Pavitt stepped in it a few times this season. The Elon Musk comment has aged like sour milk left out in the sun. And, you know, his whole, like, demeanor with all of their, his conversations with Jessel about having kids and about their marriage. The eating the chips and guac, she's like, Jusel having to be like, look, Pavit is a simple person. If he's hungry, he's going to eat. Period. If it works for her, look, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:55 But God, she makes me laugh. I think she is the, I think she's the person, like, best positioned to really just, like, keep, keep it pushing on this show. But I think that they can, I think that they have some stuff to work with. This reunion has given me hope. We thought, it's given me hope. Beverly Hills, I feel like this episode, I, I don't want to say this too loud because I, I feel, I don't know if I'm missing something or if there just isn't quite enough story happening on this. the season because it feels like this week we are getting to the point. I think this is episode nine of the season. And it feels like we are on about the fourth or fifth round of, okay, Doreet and
Starting point is 00:28:50 Kyle aren't seeing eye to eye. So they're going to need to have a talk. And we also need to keep talking about this text thing. And also, you know, Erica doesn't want to choose a side. And also, you know, how transparent is happening. and are the kids going to be involved? And it feels like we are, we're moving the story forward on this season in such small increments. It's not that the individual episodes and scenes
Starting point is 00:29:17 aren't interesting or entertaining, but that when you're watching week to week to week, it's like, where are we actually going with this? Because, you know, other than, you know, we have Kyle's, like, awkward moment at home where she's trying to invite herself to lunch with the daughters, and it's obvious that Portia doesn't want her to come. Look, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Kyle, this is when it would be great for her to have friends. And the thing is, when she asks her friends, if they want to hang out, they're like, this is weird, why is she inviting us to lunch? Like, when Sutton and Garcelle are talking and they're like, that's weird that Kyle wants to get dinner when we're already going to see each other at the beach house tomorrow. Mara, that's not a good sign. When you text your friends to hang out and they're like, okay, she wants something. I just feel like Kyle has kind of isolated herself. And obviously when you're, you know, raising kids and have stuff going on in your personal life, it makes sense that you're not
Starting point is 00:30:20 necessarily the most present in your friendships. But it's not a good thing when your friends literally think it's weird that you're texting them to hang out. We've all had a friend like that. We're like, they start dating somebody or they're, they're busy with their own shit and they kind of disappear. And then when they text the group and they're like, hey guys, are you free for brunch on Saturday? It's like, free for brunch on Saturday. I haven't seen you since, you know, Q3 of last year. So you do kind of feel like, okay, there has to be some like impetus here and they're right. Because they go to this lunch, dinner, whatever it is. It always looks like it's 4 p.m. in L.A. and she's rallying the troops.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Sutton's sitting down immediately at that thing and being like, okay, I got to ask, why are we here? Look, she says Erica might be a minion, but Sutton and Garcel are not minions. And she's not wrong. She's telling the truth. But Erica's like, I like Erica's kind of board of directors analogy that she uses a couple times this season or this episode, that she's like, look, this situation with you and has gotten to be a problem. But it is not a situation that is going to be solved by seven of us sitting at a table and chiming in. And so you got to disperse the board of directors and actually
Starting point is 00:31:43 figure things out with the two of you. And Kyle is very into these last few episodes, she's been dropping the D word a lot. And the D word is, I'm done. I don't, I don't love that on a housewife. I feel like, first of all, it's performative. Are you done? You're still here. You're miced up. Kyle says she, like, stopped filming for like a week during the season. We never even noticed it on the show.
Starting point is 00:32:09 You're here. You're not done. But also, it just feels like, it feels like kind of a cop-out of whenever you're in a situation you don't like or you're being presented with a line of questioning or whatever, you're just like, this is stupid. Why are we doing this? And her whole, you know, at the spa day, the whole like, how old are we? Are we in high school?
Starting point is 00:32:29 You should be ashamed. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's like, you're the one that started this. Like, this text that you chose to share at Chuck E. Cheese three weeks ago. Like, that is the whole reason that people are up in arms right now. If Kyle had never read that text on camera, this would not be a lingering conversation. Doreet would probably still not want Kyle to be texting P. memes and jokes, but she wouldn't be thinking, oh, what are they keeping a secret from me?
Starting point is 00:32:59 She would just be like, hey, my husband and I hate each other right now. Can you kindly not send him a TikTok? And it would have been end of the road. But Kyle and Doreet, they have another chat on the beach this episode, beautifully backlit. Like the lighting up there is gorgeous. I would say that this was a more productive conversation than their last couple. attempts, they're getting somewhere. I just think that Kyle is a little bit, I'm using the same words as Bryn, unwilling, incapable, whatever, of like truly understanding where Dorit is coming from. Because again,
Starting point is 00:33:42 when when Derreet is like basically where we're at, I need you to either choose to be PKK's friend and be loyal to PK.K. Or be my friend and be loyal to me. And Kyle's like, right, right, right. So no memes, no laughing emojis? Like, we can't do any of it. Like, I think she still feels like Doreet is being a little bit punitive in how she's handling this situation. And it's like, based on the conversation last week, like, Doreet's telling you that this guy is like an asshole to her. And it doesn't feel like Kyle is really interested in like fully unpacking everything that is happening between Doret and P.K. Because she's just kind of like, well, I'm friends with both of them.
Starting point is 00:34:24 And it's like, right, that may end up being the problem. I did feel it was tough earlier in the episode when Derreet shares that Jagger asked her if Mommy and Daddy are divorced and basically found out or heard that she posted something on Instagram about Mommy and Daddy not being together. I do feel like this was inevitable. I mean, this whole season when Derreet has talked about not telling the kids, it's felt like kind of a ticking time bomb. Obviously, at some point, they were going to tell them.
Starting point is 00:34:58 But, like, Jagger's 10 years old. I'm sure he, like, has friends and friends have parents and parents talk. And also, this might sound crazy. Ten-year-olds have the internet. They live in L.A. 10-year-olds have iPhones. They certainly have iPads. There's a whole generation of iPad kids out there that are, like, one click away from
Starting point is 00:35:20 seeing that Mommy and Daddy posted on Instagram about being separated. I wish them the best in kind of navigating this because obviously it's tough when you have kids that young. I was in college when my parents got divorced and also my parents are not on reality television, so I didn't have to worry about like what's this going to be on TMZ. But that's the thing. You don't even have to be on Instagram. You can just be like on the internet. Also, I'm sure that Doree probably has a Google alert for herself.
Starting point is 00:35:47 If you're using like Mommy's computer once and you see that she's getting talked about on page six, The jig is up. A 10-year-old can read. I don't know what to tell her, but I hope that those kids are... I hope that those kids are doing well. I don't know. This is where we're leaving off for this week. I hope that we can start to move beyond text gate next week because, frankly, I'm getting a little bored with it, but I do feel confident that the second part of the Rony reunion will not be boring. But either way, we will be back to talk about it. And I'll be back tomorrow with one more episode for this week. But in the meantime, thank you so much for listening.
