Having lots of fun over on YouTube.
Next week, we are going to have another Mormon wife on the show.
I talked to Jen Affleck in advance of her Dancing with the Stars debut.
So exciting stuff coming up.
And speaking of the Mormon wives,
they just keep on being booked and busy and, you know, finding new opportunities.
And this week, we got the announcement that the next Bachelorette is going to be Taylor Frankie
Paul.
I truly do not know how to feel about this.
Like, when I first heard the rumor that this was happening, which was like a day before
the announcement, the thing is, okay, I'm excited for TFP, you know,
I hope she finds love. I hope she has a great time. But also, being the Bachelorette is a lot of emotional and mental work. And you are at the center of just, it's a big production. And there's a lot of, you know, your emotions are tied into it. You're falling in love, hopefully, with multiple men at once. It's just a lot. And my girl, Taylor Frankie Paul,
She has been through it. We have seen her in the first couple seasons of secret lives of Mormon wives
just be put through the ringer in the in the love and relationships department. Her situation
with Dakota was, you know, beyond messy. Her family kind of navigating that was also not smooth sailing.
So knowing that she is, I guess, fully moved on from Dakota, I'm like, Taylor, my girl is, is
being the Bachelorette, really the next thing that's going to be good for you on your journey?
I hope it is.
I hope it is.
But the bigger question is, does this mean that we need to watch The Bachelorette?
Because the Bachelor franchise, just to be completely honest, I don't really enjoy Bachelor franchise shows for the most part.
At least I haven't in the last five, six years.
The last season of The Bachelor that I really watched was like Nick Viol and Rachel
Lindsay.
It was a long time ago.
Maybe like Alabama Hannah, Hannah Brown and, you know, fucking Dean in a Yurt or fucking
somebody in a windmill.
I don't know.
I mean, the Bachelor franchise to me, and maybe some of you fellow Bravo fans feel
similarly. It just lacks like a certain level of pizzazz that I really look for from my shows.
Like maybe it's like a little too sanded down around the edges. Maybe it feels a little too formulaic.
I really don't like how all those episodes are two hours, even if there's pretty much nothing going on.
So now that Taylor Frankie Paul, our beloved, you know, mom talk swinger is going to be the Bachelorette.
we might have to check it out.
At the very least, I feel like we have to check it out.
But are we committing to a full season of The Bachelorette?
It's too soon to know.
This is going to premiere.
It sounds like probably early next year.
It's basically taking the slot that The Bachelor normally happens in.
So I think they're probably filming this fall.
So we have a little bit of time to figure out if we're making the weekly commitment
to watching Taylor Frankie Paul as The Bachelorette.
For now, of course, we have Whitney and Jen that are going to be on Dancing with the Stars. They
really are, they are really figuring out how to maximize this cast within the Disney, Hulu,
ABC, you know, corporate synergy package. So that's impressive. I mean, Macy has a book coming out next month.
They have season three coming out in November. The Mormon Wives Industrial Complex is off to the races.
These ladies, these ladies are hustling.
And I have no idea what's coming next after The Bachelorette.
But man, strap in because I, you know, who knows?
Do we think like, you know, is Jen going to be on stars on Mars?
Is somebody else going to do?
You know, what else is on?
Oh, is, does ABC still do wipeout?
Because that would be fun if we got to see some of the Mormon wives bouncing around an obstacle course.
Like that seems like it could be fun.
You know, whatever opportunities, maybe somebody will be on American Idol next year.
The Mormon wives, they're really booked and busy these days.
And unfortunately, it might mean we have to watch The Bachelorette.
Now, Salt Lake City coming next week for today, we still have Orange County and Miami to get into.
And Orange County, this is the first episode post-Kady.
Katie Janella has left the building for better or for worse.
I know people have a lot of complicated, mixed feelings about the way that all of the Katie stuff
has been handled so far this season.
And, you know, I do too.
And I don't necessarily think it's a great thing that Katie is now just fully off the
show for some amount of weeks, maybe until the end of the season.
But this week, what I did appreciate is that it felt like we were finally able to
really move beyond this whole blogger conundrum of a storyline. This week, you know, we are,
we're going back to some things that were sort of planted at the beginning of the season.
We're making perhaps new progress in a couple of areas. But either way, it does feel like
we have been able to now shift the focus a little bit. And I think that however you feel about
Katie, however you feel about the way the group has treated her, I think it's a good thing for us to
be able to focus on something else, just for a week or two, you know, to find something else
happening. And so this week, the group is split up into two, you could say two trips. It's really
like two overnight outings, I guess. Half of the group. So Tamara, Shannon, Jen and Gina, what a
Motley crew. They're going overnight to Temecula. You know, they're going to drink some wine and ride on
some motorcycles and, you know, Shannon's snot is going to get in Jen's nose on the highway because
that's, wow, just a lot. But so they're going to Temecula and then the rest of the group.
I laughed so hard when I realized this. Heather invites Emily and Gretchen for basically an overnight
sleepover at her penthouse in Beverly Hills. And like, at first I was like, man, I would be pissed
if I was in the group that just got to go to Heather's house when everybody else gets to go,
you know, on this overnight stay to the vineyard and Temecula. But then the more I'm thinking
about it, I'm like, maybe Heather's house is nicer. Maybe, maybe for Gretchen, that's a more
appealing invite than a day at a vineyard. You know, Shannon's stumbling around.
in the dirt, you know, there's, there's holes, her heels are falling in. It looks, you know, like a
whole ordeal. If you're with Heather, you get to go, you know, have a butler wait on you,
and then shop on Rodeo Drive and go to a nice dinner. I don't know. Which trip would you choose?
Trip, it's not a trip. That's like such a strong word for it. But before we go, Shannon,
obviously, is still in a bit of a tough place in her relationship with Tamara. Last week, we saw
Jen and Gretchen both start to make some progress with Tamara seemingly.
So that kind of leaves Shannon as the odd one out.
She's like, oh, great.
Now I'm going to be the bitch because, you know, I still don't think that a 10-minute
conversation isn't up for me to move forward with Tamara Judge.
I understand where she's coming from.
But Tamara FaceTime Shannon to invite her to this trip into Mecula.
And Shannon is a little bit conflicted about going on the trip because she doesn't know
which Tamara she's going to get.
Of course, she goes on the trip because she's being paid to be there and film the TV show.
But, you know, she's conflicted, you guys.
But then immediately, Tamara and Emily go shopping.
And Tamara's like, oh, well, you know, I called Shannon to go on this trip to Temecula.
And she picks up the phone and she looked like a mess.
Hair crazy.
boobs everywhere.
I'm like, Tamara, you literally, 10 minutes ago got off of FaceTime with this woman saying how you want to turn over a new leap and it's going to be good and you're going to have fun.
And then on camera, you're telling Emily, wow, she looked crazy just then.
That's like, imagine if you got off of like a Zoom call with your coworkers and you found out that then they were like telling another coworker how, you know, oh, Dylan looked a mess on that last Zoom call just looked like he just rolled out of bed, which first of all, maybe I did.
And if I'm working from home, that is my right.
But also it's like, Tamara, your whole thing this season is that.
it's a new Tamara. It's Tamra 7.0. We're turning over a new leaf, you know, a better person
and changed, healing journey, all of that. You've got to show us the healing. And that's the easy part.
All you have to do is not talk shit about Shannon's looks on camera. Mind you, Tamara, and we'll get to
it, is already still in trouble for talking about somebody else's looks and showing the Jen
Pedrante fatty photo. TM. I feel like fatty photos should have like the little copyright sign
after it because they've said it so much this season. But speaking of Jen, because we'll get to the
fatty photo. Again, their words, not mine. Why do Jen and Ryan have a cyber truck and a BMW? And I don't even
mean like Elon Musk is a, you know, fascist pig or, you know, allegedly, anything like that.
Financially, why do Jen and Ryan have a cyber truck and a BMW? Like, I just think,
If I were on a TV show where my funds had been a source of controversy,
wouldn't you just get like a Honda pilot or like a, you know,
like a CRV or perfectly fine cars?
They're like washing the cyber truck in the driveway with one of the kids, one of the, you know, 42 kids.
And it's like, is this supposed to be a cute scene because I can't look past the monsterocity of a vehicle that I'm
I know is expensive. And it's just like, Jen, my dear. I mean, I'm sure Ryan bought it. But,
um, yeah, don't buy a cyber truck. They look dumb. I mean, that's the thing. Politics aside,
they look fucking dumb. But Gina, Jen and Shannon go to lunch and, you know, they're debriefing,
their trip invite to Tamara because you got to have a united front. And so, you know,
everybody basically is on, you know, on pins and needles about how things are. You know,
are going to go with Tamara. And, you know, overall things get off to an okay start. Tamara does pack a book.
You know, she's packing with her daughter. And she has a book. She says, I got Shannon a book if she's
going to be a bitch, which first of all, I don't know that you should be going into the trip.
It's like you're setting the intention that something is going to go wrong. When you're buying
your friend turned enemy turned potential friend again, a book called How Not to Be a Miserable Cow.
Like, again, Tamara, where you're on camera.
Tamara, you're on camera.
That rhymes.
No, but like every episode, it feels like there is some opportunity for Tamara to show off how much she's changing, how much she's growing, how much of the bigger person she's going to be.
And it's like, why are you putting this dumb fucking book in your suitcase that you know if Shannon were to see that?
And by the way, again, you're on camera.
so Shannon's going to see it now or she's going to see it later, you're just like showing that you're not taking it as seriously as you say you are.
But they get to Temecula, Tamara and Gina talk, and, you know, Tamara says that Shannon doesn't want to move on because she holds grudges.
She's basically putting the blame on Shannon.
She says, she's just bitter, you know, she doesn't want to, you know, I wasn't there for last year.
So now she's holding a grudge and yada, yada, yada.
and, you know, oh, oh, the fatty photo, oh, no, well, I just brought it up because she looked different.
And, you know, Heather was the one who made it about Jen's weight.
I just said, oh, look at this photo.
And, you know, Heather said, oh, she looks heavy.
Neither here nor there.
It's like, it's not nice to show an old photo of somebody, whether it's to say, oh, they look so different or, oh, they used to be heavier.
Like, either way.
Not great.
So then we got to dinner and Tamara brings up her unresolved issues with Jen.
and Jen asks about the photo.
Because she still hasn't seen the photo.
It's crazy.
After all these episodes, I guess the photo kind of got put on the back burner when we were, you know, doing the blogger, pot-a-da-da.
But she says, what was the intent behind the photo?
And Tamara's like, the intent was just to show that you've changed because, you know, you don't look like the girl that I met.
And Jen's like, yeah, you're right.
I don't.
Because now I'm happy.
and I'm confident and, you know, maybe I lost a few pounds, sue me.
And Tamara, like, won't let this go because, of course, she says that she wasn't making it
about the weight.
But then in the confessional, she goes, well, I question whether she lost the weight for
Ryan because he's always said that he likes the tits on a stick look.
And that's kind of what Jen is giving now.
Boobes out everywhere, super skinny.
And it's like, okay, so you're saying that you're intent behind bringing up.
the photo wasn't to comment on her weight, but then clearly that's what you were thinking,
because you're saying it now. So it's not like that wasn't a factor before. Also like tits on a
stick is just like, I don't know. I mean, Ryan always, you know, in the background being a sleaze ball.
But Jen is like, where did our problem come from? Why do you have such an issue?
And Tamara brings up this story, which I don't know if we've heard before, that she says that,
way back when, this would be, you know, a few years ago, she went to Cabo with Ryan.
Eddie was there, you know, I guess they were on some friends trip, whatever.
And Ryan said that he was in love with Jen.
And at this point, she was still married to her husband, Will, who Tamara and
Eddie were also friends with and had just recently hung out with.
So Tamara says, I felt like, oh, Addy felt dirty.
it felt bad knowing that you know you're married to our friend and then now our other friend is the boyfriend
and he's saying that you're going to leave your husband but your husband doesn't know yet.
Eddie felt dirty.
Which on paper, yeah, that would make you feel dirty.
That's not a, you don't want to be the accomplice in the, oh yeah, she's going to leave her husband kind of thing.
But Shannon is like, girl, be for real.
didn't you cheat on your husband with Eddie once upon a time?
You're in the exact same boat.
And this is, I mean, I don't think we would get a straight answer out of anyone involved
because nobody on housewives likes to admit that they cheated on their husband or that
they had an affair, even in the past, even if it is, you know, a long-ended marriage at this point.
I don't think you would get Tamara to say that in black and white.
But it's just like nobody's side of the same.
street here is really 100% clean, right?
But anyway, after, you know, 10 episodes of Heming and Hawing, Tamara finally shows Jen the dreaded
fatty photo.
And Jen is like, well, that is a disgusting photo of me.
And Gina's like, yeah, but it's also not the best photo of Tamara.
Which like, fair point.
The thing is like a disgusting photo.
Maybe it's not the most flattering photo.
in the world. Maybe Jen doesn't love the way she looked before because she wasn't yet
Madame Tits on a stick. But it's not a disc, it's not a, it's a normal photo of a middle-aged
woman. Like, she's wearing some skinny jeans, maybe a little bit of a, you know, peplum top.
It's not the cutest photo in the world. It's fine. But Jen, now that she's seen the photo,
Chen is like, yeah, I still don't love this. If my 14-year-old daughter had a friend do that to her,
think that she's a little bitch. And she says, I'm finally myself after 46 years. This is the real
Jen. And you just don't like the new version, Tamara, because I can't be, you know, bossed around
anymore. I'm not doing your bidding. And, you know, yada, yada, yada. And before Tamara even really
has a chance to reply, Shannon jumps in. And you know that Shannon has been sitting on the side of
the table biting her tongue for the last hour. And she says that Tamara
goes low and doesn't take accountability for it and that no one else in the group goes that low,
Gina doesn't go that low, Jen doesn't go that low, I don't go that low, Tamara goes the lowest,
and then if anybody calls her out on it, there's hell to pay. Tamara says that Shannon, in fact,
goes that low. She just does it behind people's backs. And this is when Shannon goes, I like you,
I just have reservations.
Tamara's like, yeah, doesn't really see me like you like me right now.
That is one thing where, like, I know that we like our housewives to fight and make up and, you know, do it all over again.
But I do feel like this season, part of Shannon's problem is that she has kind of just reached a natural end of the road with Tamara Judge.
And, you know, because they're still both on this show, it doesn't feel appropriate to just say, I don't, I think I'm good. I think it's okay with me if we aren't ever friends again. So I have to do this song and dance of, I like Tamara. I just am worried that, you know, she'll backstab me or whatever. And it's like, that's normal. You shouldn't want to be friends with somebody who did that to you. And now, I'm.
I mean, getting back into the, you know, alcoholic accusations from last season, Tamara is throwing in Shannon's face that she's been with her for 10 years through her divorce, through this, that, and the other thing.
And Shannon's like, look, that's great, but I've never been better than this last year where you weren't in my life.
And Shannon brings up being called an alcoholic and last season how Tamara would drag her anytime she ordered a drink.
and Tamara's like, well, you know, Gina's concerned about your drinking too right now.
And this goes back to something that Gina and Tamara talked about a little bit earlier,
that, you know, Gina was, you know, questioning why last season,
Tamara had been so harsh on Shannon for the drinking.
And then suddenly in New Orleans, it was like, oh, let's have a cocktail together.
So Gina seems to all of a sudden have some sort of reservations about Shannon's drinking.
because Shannon looks at her and says, what do you mean? And Gina says, well, I worry about you.
And this is where the episode ends. Nothing, I mean, just like, nothing good can come from
alcoholic accusations. I just don't think, I don't think that's like a fun road to go down.
Like, because it never ends well. It's like the most somebody can say is I am or I am not,
an alcoholic, and if they are, then that's sad and something, you know, depressing to deal with.
And if they say they aren't, they're an adult and it's their life to make choices with.
So I hope that this doesn't end up being like the next five episodes worth of material.
Meanwhile, over on Rodeo Drive, they conveniently run into a paparazzi photographer who confirms,
big air quotes, confirms that Heather did not call the paparazzi at Disneyland.
just can't believe we're still talking about this. Like, come on. Heather's like mad that people think
that she pacifies Tamara because she's afraid of her. The Beverly, the Beverly Hills sleepover.
End of the day. Not that interesting. But over in Tebecula, things are pretty spicy. I would say this
episode gets like a good grade from me for moving the ball forward on this season that had become
a little bit stagnant. I think that they have some decent irons in the
the fire and I'm hoping that over the next chunk of the season they've got a trip to
Amsterdam coming up. I'm excited to see that. I think that this season of Orange County
has life in it yet and I'm always hoping for the best and we shall see.

mildly interesting. You know, it's day two of this two-day cruise. This cruise, I mean, I know that
they're doing it because Virgin Voyages probably paid them. Allegedly, I should say, I think that
they're doing it because Virgin Voyages paid them. But, but, I know that they're doing it because Virgin Voyages paid them.
But like, why are we on a cruise for 36 hours?
Does this look fun to anybody?
I guess there's a spa, there's a restaurant, there's like an aerobics class.
They're just showing off all the different stuff you can do on a cruise.
Am I just a hater that doesn't think a cruise looks fun?
Like maybe some people are watching this and being like, oh, my dream vacation.
And if that's you, like, I love that for you.
To me, I'm like, I don't want to do a 90s themed aerobics class in the morning.
but that's just me.
Everyone really just wants Larsa and Lisa to make progress.
I love that Larsa starts out the episode being like, look, I'm there.
I've been there.
But Lisa's just not a responsive friend.
It's like, okay.
Once again.
So Larsa and Lisa do meet to talk on this gorgeous bar overlooking the ocean.
And Lisa's like, look, we've tried to hash this out in like four different countries at this point.
Enough is enough. We've got to do it. We're in international waters.
You know, Captain Sandy's going to descend to talk about maritime law any second, I'm sure.
And they really seem to kind of squash it. Now, famous last words, they seem to squash it for today.
But thankfully, you know, we're making some progress.
Stephanie has another big episode. You know, she starts out, she's in nautical Stephanie territory.
She says that she's allergic to mimoses that aren't freshly squeezed.
It's like, okay, yeah, girl, I hope he picks you.
Um, just like, get a, get a real personality. Oh, my God. I can't eat any of that. Oh, I get hives. If she's actually
allergic, I'm sorry. That's not funny. Um, no, but Stephanie and Alexia have a little bit of a heart to heart
in the spa. And this is needed because the, the temperature between Stephanie, Stephanie and
Alexia has gotten heated a few times this season. And, you know, at the end of the day,
I want everybody to be able to coexist together with, you know, some drama in between.
So it's important to me, important to me, it's important for the show that they talk.
So they're kind of relating to each other over not having good relationships with their sisters.
And Alexia's like, I don't really like to talk about it because it makes me upset.
Case in point, Stephanie's like, you have a sister?
I kind of forgot that too.
Alexia said that she and her sister didn't talk for three years after her mom died, which is just,
it's sad it makes me sad um but no she says she doesn't want to hurt people and you know that she feels
like she was hurting stephanie in spain and really what this you know is circling back to is the decision
for alexia and marisole to not go to marbea on the jet you know the jetticit the manifesto
whatever it's called um and alexia kind of throws marisole under the bus which i thought was
fascinating. And she says, you know, we woke up that morning in Sebia and I wanted to come. I thought
we should come. I didn't feel good about not coming. But Marisol, she said we couldn't go. She didn't
want to go. She didn't want to go on the jet. So, you know, it was not my intention. I know how you
were hurt. And this is really interesting because we do not see Alexia and Marisol breaking ranks like
this very often. You know, usually they are a pretty united front. They might kind of like
bicker with each other sometimes, but in a one-on-one situation to have Alexia basically put the
blame on Marisol for something was not what I expected. And I know that they have maybe a little
bit of a strained relationship at the moment, but it does feel like we get more insight into that
throughout this episode, both with this thing that she's talking to Stephanie and then a couple
of the conversations about Todd. And you can see, and we knew at the beginning of the season,
you know, Marisol was really, really standing strong with her negative feelings toward Todd
and about, you know, wanting Alexia to get out of that relationship. And as we see throughout
the season, Alexia, you know, sliding more and more back into her dynamic with Todd,
that has become a challenging situation for Marisol. At the last dinner on the cruise, they're talking about
when they last got laid, you know, classic housewives fodder.
And Alexia says, well, you know, when was the last time I saw Todd?
Maybe Wednesday or Thursday.
So, yeah, like three days.
And everybody's like, oh, my deos.
She's like, there's only one man in my life.
And I love that Lisa's like, oh, booty call.
And Alexia takes herself so seriously when it's stuff like this.
She's like, well, it's not a booty call because that's my husband.
So, um, Lisa, I don't think that's very funny.
It's like, okay.
She's like, it's not a walk-off shame.
That's my husband.
It's like, Alexia, just like, chill.
Also, we all know that this has not been like a smooth, a smooth situation.
But so that's kind of like the first thing with Todd.
And then later, at the end of the episode, Marisol and Alexia are having dinner with Marisol's
husband, Steve, and Alexia's son Frankie.
And Todd is kind of the main topic of conversation.
And Alexia is like sort of being honest that she's getting closer to the point of just being back with Todd, that she's considering it.
Now, to me, I'm kind of like, at what point, like, I feel like we're kind of splitting hairs at this point.
Like, clearly you're spending time together.
You went on a weekend trip to New York, you know, earlier in the season.
You're talking about how you're having sex with each other.
you're seeing him regularly.
Like, you guys are together.
Just maybe not, maybe they're not living together.
Maybe, you know, they haven't put a label on it or whatever.
But it's like, if she's like, that's my husband, it's like, that is your husband.
You guys are, you're not, not together.
But Marisol is open.
She's like, I don't think I can feel so good about that.
You know, it's, you know, it's, I don't feel so good about Todd.
And Alexia is like,
Well, I feel good about it. And Marisol's like, right, you feel good about it below the waist.
And Marisol's like, I can't just, you know, be happy for you with everything that I know.
And Alexia, it's hard because she's like, she's starting to get frustrated.
I think that Marisol is not giving her the level of approval and support that she wants from her BFF.
She's like, at the end of the day, this is between Todd and I.
And if I want to be with Todd, I'm going to be with Todd.
And Marisol, as my, as my, you know, right hand should be standing behind me.
And there's a really interesting conversation at the end of the episode with Adriana and Stephanie, by the way, apparently are friends now.
Adriana's going to do a concert at Stephanie's Christmas party.
Can't wait to see.
Can't wait to see that.
She's going to have a band of 10 people.
I digress.
So Stephanie is filling in Adriana on the conversation they had in the spa, her in Alexia,
and about Marisol being the one who really didn't want to come to Marbea on the plane.
And Adriana is, this lines up perfectly with her sort of theory and her, you know, party line that,
oh, that makes sense because Marisol is always the puppet master, but she needs a puppet.
And so Alexia is, you know, Alexia is going to go along with what Marisol wants.
And, you know, if Marisol doesn't want to go on the plane, Alexia is not going to go on the plane.
And, you know, as much as I don't want Alexia and Marisol to have a falling out or to not be good with each other,
the situation with Todd potentially causing some sort of divide between them is kind of a fascinating prospect.
because it just doesn't feel like something we've seen much or at all in the last few years on this show.
And I do think that when you have a friend who is in a relationship that is messy and is complicated and you make your feelings known,
that's a real kind of human thing that I think Marisol is now going to kind of have to work through.
And, you know, maybe she and Alexia need a little bit of a breather.
Maybe they need a second to reset.
I don't know.
But we'll see.
I don't know if next week is the finale.
We've got to be getting close.
But this season of Miami, you know, we're trucking right along.
And I'm very curious to see how the sort of Alexia Todd Marisol package gets wrapped up at the end of the season.
And into the reunion, which I have a feeling is going to be a spicy one.
But that is what we have for today.
Thank you so much for listening.
