Mention It All - Dorit's Main Character Era, Craig's Comments, & Jennifer Aydin's Pending Cancellation

Episode Date: January 9, 2025

It’s a busy day for Bravo news and Dylan dives right in with the fallout from Jennifer Aydin’s rant about her experience at an airport Jersey Mike’s. Then, he recaps Craig Conover’s statement ...about his breakup, and whether it plays into a fan narrative about who was at fault in his split with Paige. From there, there are new episodes of RHOBH and RHONY to get into, and Dylan has a lot of feelings about where things stand after the holiday break. It’s 2025, and Rebecca Minkoff is still a flop, Dorit and Kyle still aren’t getting along, and Sutton still can’t keep her words straight. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:45 Welcome back to the Mention It All podcast. It is Wednesday, and we have a fun little grab bag of stuff to get into today. First, we have more return of Housewives shows after our long holiday break. So we are going to be talking about Beverly Hills, and just does a little something extra. I watched Real Housewives of New York. was on the fence about whether I was even going to be like caught up before today. But, you know, this is my job. I do, I do get paid to be here. So I did watch both Housewives shows that were on last night. And so we'll throw a little bone to New York. Honestly, maybe one of their better episodes
Starting point is 00:01:18 of the season. The bar do be on the floor right now for that qualification. But I want to give credit where credit is due. And this trip to Puerto Rico, they're trying. They're doing their best. I think, I don't know. It's tough times in New York. But then we also, we're going to get into Craig Conover breaking his silence about the breakup with Page de Sorbo because he broke his silence. So we're going to talk about that. But first, I just have an update that I think is really funny because I didn't get a chance. This popped off while I was on break over the holidays. But if you also spend too much time on Instagram, on social media, following all these Bravo accounts,
Starting point is 00:01:56 you might have noticed that Jennifer Aden got herself into a little bit of hot water over the holidays. And this was because she was traveling. Like a lot of us were over the holidays, she was at the airport, and she decided to stop in at an airport location of Jersey mics to get a little lunch, as one does. And she was not happy with her experience at Jersey mics. And so she took to Instagram and shared some choice words for, as she said, an 80-year-old woman that was working at Jersey bikes,
Starting point is 00:02:25 which I don't know if anybody's done a fact check on the age there. But like, if an 80-year-old woman is working at Jersey bikes, Jersey Mike's in the airport. Like she is doing her best. I promise. I know you had to wait in line a while. I know things were busy, but you're at the airport. What do you expect? But so Jennifer basically post this whole story rambling on about how horrible they were to her at Jersey mics and she had to wait forever and it took such a long time to make the sandwiches. And then she wanted to add another sandwich to her order and they made her wait in line again. Oh my God, the horror. If you are a long time follower of Jennifer Aden, or if you check in on kind of her social media behavior, this is what she does.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Do you remember when she posted? I think it was like she was trying to find like a nanny or a babysitter or something. And like the listing she posted in some Facebook group was just like absolutely unhinged, like the amount of work she was asking for versus what she was going to pay. Like she's the kind of person where like she goes through the world assuming that people are going to like bow down to her. and when they don't, it's like, what's your problem? My husband's a plastic surgeon. What do you mean I have to wait in line at Jersey Mikes at the airport? Show a little respect.
Starting point is 00:03:35 But so anyway, obviously people are dragging Jennifer for this because we like to be kind to people working in the service industry, especially at the airport, especially around the holidays, like get a grip. This woman at Jersey Mikes is doing her best. But the funniest little part of this is obviously Jennifer Aiden is not on housewives right now. There's no Jersey housewives right now. Baby, there's no plane. They're not filming.
Starting point is 00:03:56 It's unfortunate. It is what it is. Rachel Fuda's baby shower was the other day. There were like people exclusive photos. Jen Fessler was there. Danielle Cabral was there. Margaret was there. Melissa was there. Andy in a camera, not there. It's unfortunate. It is what it is. So there's no real like Bravo consequence of this for Jen Aden because she's currently not a Bravo employee. But the one real consequence that we have thus far is that Jennifer was set to be on a fans at sea cruise. This September, a Wives on the Waves Get Away with their New Jersey co-stars, Teresa and DeLores. This is something that I always see these cruises that are like the celebrity cruises where it'll be like, oh, you can cruise with Broadway stars, or oh, you can cruise with drag queens, or I think there's even like gay porn ones, which is like crazy to me. It's like, you're going on a cruise to like be with, like, what happens on the cruise? Don't answer that. I don't think the Wives on the Waves Cruz is the same as the gay porn star one. But anyway, this was already announced for September of this year, which is like a long way away. And as of this week, Jennifer Aiden has been removed
Starting point is 00:05:06 from the Wives on the Waves Cruise with Teresa and Dolores. And I just love this. The cruise company posted a statement and also spoke to page six. And the way that they speak about their cruise business, fans at sea, it's like so serious. But also we're talking about Jennifer Aiden, getting disinvited from a paid appearance on a cruise. So they told page 6 on Tuesday that they, quote, made adjustments in order to keep the cruise enjoyable and welcoming for all guests. And that their priority is to create a drama-free, fun-filled experience for everyone. Now, I would just say, like, if I were going on a Wives on the Waves Cruise,
Starting point is 00:05:46 I don't actually know that I want my experience to be drama-free. like I don't personally want to be attacked or you know yelled at or anything like I want to have a nice luxurious cabin all to myself I want to be eating great food but I feel like some drama would actually be good value I want like dinner and a show I want the housewives to be causing a little bit of a commotion and I know I mean if you're hiring Teresa Dolores and Jennifer you're probably not going to get too many like fireworks on the cruise but like I don't think drama's a bad thing. thing. But whatever. Fans at sea just wants a drama-free, fun-filled experience for everyone. And I, you know, more power to them. So they, um, they have uninvited Jen Aitem from the cruise. However, they insisted that decision was neither personal nor, quote, an act of canceling anyone as they believe in second chances and personal growth. I love that this is like a celebrity cruise that's happening in nine months that they're basically firing Jen from. And they're like, but we are not canceling her because we believe in second chances and personal growth. It's like,
Starting point is 00:06:55 who cares? It's a cruise. Jen Aiden is, she is rich, honey. She's married to a plastic surgeon. She can buy all the Jersey Mike sandwiches she wants and not going on this cruise. You know, I just like can't take this seriously. But they did say if you are, if you are in line for the wives on the waves cruise the September, stay in line because they announced that they will be soon adding a third housewife to the roster to join. and Dolores. Now I'm like more intrigued. I'm like if we're not getting any actual Real Houseways of New Jersey casting news, I'm like, who are they sending on the cruise? Who's booking the third spot on the cruise? Who's holding a peach? Who's holding an anchor? Is it somebody else
Starting point is 00:07:36 from Jersey? Who else could they even send with these two? Because if you're sending Teresa, you can't really send anybody else on the Jersey cast besides Dolores and Jennifer. I have a feeling it's going to be like a Derinda kind of maybe like a maybe a Vicky like that kind of that kind of bracket you know there's kind of that like housewives circuit the ones that you always see doing like events and appearances and stuff that are like housewives themed and I don't feel like I really see I don't see like the Miami ladies doing that also the Miami ladies already had to go on a cruise for this season you know that Alexia is like I'm not doing another cruise I already did one I didn't like it. Maybe they liked it. We haven't seen it yet. I cannot wait for the new season of Miami.
Starting point is 00:08:20 It was just Gertie's birthday and like most of them were together. Larsa was there. Dr. Nicole was there. RIP. RIP, her on Housewives. She's, I think, doing very well. But anyway, if anybody is going on that Wives on the Waves Cruise, please let me know because I need like a minute by minute update of what that even means. How much FaceTime do you get with the Housewives? Is it just like a cruise and they're also on the cruise? Interesting. So good, so good, so good. So Craig waited over a week, over a week to break his silence. It always sounds so dramatic when we say break his silence because it's like, okay, like he,
Starting point is 00:10:00 he waited a week to like hop on Instagram stories and kind of give his point of view on this. But also it's like, we kind of knew what his point of view would be on this. Like I didn't expect, I didn't expect Craig to hop on social media and be like, actually fuck page because this, you know, I was all I want. was a wife and kids and blah, blah, blah. Like, we knew that wasn't going to happen. So this is, like, technically kind of boring. But it's not boring.
Starting point is 00:10:28 No, it's so exciting. I'm excited to be talking about it. But basically, Craig hopped on Instagram stories and posted this long, long video where he's sitting, I think, in front of his house. And you guys, he looks really good. His hair looks silky and smooth and luscious. He's wearing, like, a creamy, ivory kind of
Starting point is 00:10:49 sweater. He just looks like he looks really good. And obviously he's been going through it a little bit figuring out, you know, how he feels about this breakup. But like, he's looking good. And I actually, I had to go searching for this on my personal Instagram because Craig unfortunately does still have at Bravo Bebatches blocked. So I would just say Craig, we love you. Unblock us. I don't, I don't know when he blocked us. There are certain people where I'm like, oh, yeah, duh, of course. Like Kelly Dodd, like, I haven't seen her Instagram account in years, and I don't miss it. Craig, I'm like, God damn, I'm on your side in like a lot of things. I'm watching Southern Charm this season, and I'm like, Austin, shut up. I like Craig. He doesn't
Starting point is 00:11:35 like me back, I guess. Pick me, choose me. Anyway, so he said, sorry about the delay. This has all been very, very unexpected to say the least, but I guess I got to start living again, whatever that looks like. Yikes. Whatever my new normal looks like, I have to start. And then the only kind of thing that he says about like the breakup itself is he says that right before the holidays, I was very shocked. And it's okay.
Starting point is 00:12:01 It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can't control other people. You can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to page and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff. He goes on a little bit about like, breakups always for the best and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. neither here nor there. I guess the important thing here is that he does sort of confirm, which we already knew from Page's podcast, Paige was the one who broke up with Craig.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Page ended things. It is interesting the way that he frames it, that it was a shock, it was very unexpected. He's figuring out, you know, his new normal. I mean, he's very diplomatic in terms of, you know, telling people to be kind to page, definitely, like, not placing blame in that sense. but like making it clear that this was not his decision and also not only was it not his decision
Starting point is 00:12:50 but he wasn't kind of prepared for it or expecting it. And I do think that's like him sort of being clear about that definitely it leans like five degrees into the narrative that Craig made it clear what he wanted and he was blah blah blah blah blah but like Paige just like couldn't give him that. I think that this is one of those breakups where like at the end of day it's just not that interesting. In pretty much every relationship, like one person has to be the person that decides that they want to like do the breakup. Even if like long term, both of you kind of thought that it wasn't going to last forever, I think that Craig was like down to wait a little bit more if he felt like Paige was like on the long trajectory to get where he was trying to go.
Starting point is 00:13:38 So, you know, he's figuring out his new normal. I'm sure he's doing like some self-help books and podcasts and stuff like that. And I wish him well on his journey. I'm curious, like, I talked about this on Monday. I don't know what to expect in terms of, like, how much more we're going to hear about this. I'm sure at the Southern Charm reunion will talk about it. I'm sure, you know, Paige will talk about it more, like, as Summer House is coming back for another season. But, you know, I'm glad we've heard from Craig now. And I feel like there's just not that much more, like, there's nothing that juicy. And that's okay. This episode is brought to you by Prime.

Starting point is 00:15:11 Hasbro is not a sponsor of this promotion. Let's talk about New York. So New York, you know, two week break, three week break, like every other housewives show. So we come back and we are still in Puerto Rico. You know, I kind of feel like I don't know exactly how they like plan out the calendar, like how far in advance they're like, okay. So this show is, this show is 15 episodes this season. So if we start it in August, that means we'll be finishing 15 weeks later. I can't do calendar math right now.
Starting point is 00:15:44 But like, I do feel like given the general lack of momentum for this season of New York, could we not have finished before the holidays? I really feel like it might have been a smart decision to just leave Real Houseways of New York City in 2024, at least in this current, you know, permutation. Because coming back in January and seeing that we have back-to-back episodes of Beverly Hills in New York again for like, at least the next month. I mean, next week is not the season finale.
Starting point is 00:16:17 I don't know exactly how many episodes they have left. And then there's going to be a reunion, you know, at least one or two parts. I don't know. God forbid it's three. Please. We're smarter than that. But like, we have another month of this. It feels just like a little bit like we're treading water.
Starting point is 00:16:36 And it's like, okay, Uber and Brin are still getting mad at each other. Okay. Brian is still kind of poking at Jessel for taking so many photos. Okay. Rebecca Minkoff is still like loud and wrong and dumb and annoying. Sorry if you're like the one Rebecca Minkoff stand out there. I don't care. You're like a 50 year old woman and you think that there are sharks in lakes. Get the fuck out of here. That is, okay, I'm sorry. You're not going to come on TV and be like, I'm a Scientologist and actually that's normal and good. And all you have to do is go read a book. but not that one, but I'm not going to tell you which one.
Starting point is 00:17:15 But also, I believe that there are sharks in lakes and rivers. That's even crazier than being a Scientologist. You're making me believe even more strongly that you do not have your head screwed on straight. And I just think, if you're going to be a Scientologist, if you're going to be a loud and proud or at least like medium volume and proud Scientologist, like you've got to get your other kind of ducks in a row. and being like, no, I never swim in a body of water because there's sharks everywhere. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:17:45 It's like, bitch, I don't trust you. I don't trust you as far as I can throw you and I couldn't throw you very far. I'm sorry, I had to get that out. If Rebecca Minkoff is listening, look, it is what it is. I'm working with what you're giving me. But yeah, I don't know that. The Jessel and Bryn argument that has kind of bubbled up to the top this week is a little, it's a little weird to me.
Starting point is 00:18:08 I'm like, yes, Jessel see. like an annoying person to spend a lot of time with. Like the fact that she is so like, let's take a photo. Let's do an outfit change. Now I've got three outfits for my birthday party. Okay, it's a clueless party, but I'm going to come in late. And also blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, yeah, that sounds annoying, but also, like,
Starting point is 00:18:27 I feel like Jessel is pretty, what you see is what you get. Like, the label on the package is exactly what's inside. And so for Brin to then kind of be, like, making a big deal out of it, maybe Jessel has changed in certain ways in the time that Brin has known her, but also, like, they all have. And I thought that when Jessel brought up the thing of Brin bringing her agent to her kid's birthday party, it's like, exactly. Brin even having an agent, it's like everybody's changing. Everybody has a platform that they didn't have two years ago. And sometimes you act
Starting point is 00:19:04 different when your circumstances have changed. And I don't think that that's the same as like having this massive personality shift. And, you know, I don't spend enough time with these women to to really have an opinion on that. But like, I got to say, I was kind of team Jessel in that. And I like Bryn, like, I think that Brin is having a weird season and is making some weird choices. But like, let the mouse go. It's, it's a little weird. It feels like they're trying to create a problem with Jessel that Jusel's kind of like, Jessel's just like existing on her own plane of reality. And if you're not on the wavelength, that's fine, but then just like turn the radio off. You can just like not be that close with her. Meanwhile, the Bryn and Uba thing, it does feel like we are
Starting point is 00:19:44 kind of going in circles, but then Uba kind of takes it to a very strange place this week when she makes this accusation or implication that Bryn slept with someone to get on this show, which kind of, it came out of nowhere to me. Everybody seems upset that. Uba has said this, but I'm like, wait, is this, is it true? Not, not is it true in a sense of like, I need to know all the like details of Brin's, you know, sexual history and everything. Like, I don't really care. But the way that they're talking about Uba bringing it up feels a little bit more like, Uba, you shouldn't have said that versus like, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard anyone say. Of course she didn't. And so I,
Starting point is 00:20:32 I'm wondering, like, is there a story here because that actually would seem interesting? Also, we're talking about real housewives. If you slept with someone to get on real housewives, own it, baby. Like, that's, like, that's iconic. We're not talking about, like, becoming president. I don't care if you slept with someone to get on housewives. Like, that actually would be fascinating to me. I understand that Brin doesn't want to have this, like, reputation or, you know, people, you know, the whole, like, sugar daddy thing, like the Jeff Lewis of it all.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Like, I get that there is, like, some thorny territory there. I really think that this year, 2025, I need, like, a Jeff Lewis jar. Like, every time his name comes up, we got to put, like, a quarter in the jar or something, because I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it. And no disrespect to Jeff Lewis. But, like, we got to find somebody else to name drop on how to. housewives. But I digress. I think that I understand why Bryn is angry at Uba in that moment, but then also I'm like, is there something more interesting here than what we're actually
Starting point is 00:21:42 talking about? Because if so, I would like to know, because we're 13 episodes into this season. And like my strongest opinion is that Rebecca Minkoff kind of sucks. So I don't know. And then the comment Uba makes about cancer in front of Aaron, not great, not great. And especially watching this season. And Aaron hasn't shared with the group yet that her dad is sick once again.
Starting point is 00:22:06 So both of her parents have cancer. And now watching it, we know that Aaron's father did pass away in the fall. So like, this is a real situation that she's like very much still actively dealing with in real time. Not a great moment for Uba. Not a great episode for Uba. And then at the end of the episode, they go to this beach and it's like Raquel's favorite beach from childhood.
Starting point is 00:22:29 And like, does it look that pristine and beautiful? Perhaps not. But like, we got to stop doing the thing before we like go to a faraway place and are just like shitting on it. That's never going to be a great look. If you're going on, this is like reality TV 101. In 2025, you should know if you're going on a show and you're going someplace unfamiliar, don't say that the food is weird. Don't say that the place is ugly. Don't say that the people, you know, don't make a comment about the language. Like, just like, enjoy it. Take it for what it is.
Starting point is 00:23:01 If you don't want to go in the water, don't go in the water. You know Rebecca Minkoff's not going in. Jenna Lyons isn't going in the water. Just sit on the beach. Keep your mouth shut. Be happy. Drink a cocktail. It is what it is. It's not that deep. But that's New York. And now we can talk about Beverly Hills. Again, this holiday break has really just messed with my mind because when Bose and Doreet are talking on this episode and they refer to something, or maybe it was when Doreet and Erica were talking, but they referred to Kyle's party where Camille was in attendance as last night. And I literally thought I was on a different planet. I'm like, last night, that was six months ago, surely. The fact that was. The fact that,
Starting point is 00:23:49 that the most recent episode that we had of this show was Derreet and Camille going back and forth about See You Next Tuesday Gate. If I was betting money on it, I would have been like, no, there was something that happened after that. Apparently not. But anyway, I do think it's, it's interesting that Derreet is using Camille's presence at that party, not to really perpetuate any feud with Camille, because let's be honest, Camille is irrelevant on this show. She was there for one episode. We got what we needed out of her. We got, you know, an iconic moment of Doreet, you know, calling her the C-word like 75 times in the span of a minute. Love to see it. But immediately in this episode, Camille's presence has shifted to a checkmark in a column of the
Starting point is 00:24:36 Derreet versus Kyle War that is happening this season. And Doret sees Camille's presence at that party as a deliberate action on the part of Kyle to make her feel uncomfortable at this party. She's like, not only did she invite her on purpose. She didn't tell me that she was inviting her on purpose, which first of all, it's like, okay, well, like, you guys aren't speaking. So it would be weird if Kyle went out of her way to be like, hey, Doree, I know you're mad at me right now, but I just wanted to send a little birdie to tell you that Camille is going to be at this party, which is going to make you even matter. But talk soon or not. Like, that would have been weird, but also I don't think Doreet is completely wrong.
Starting point is 00:25:16 I don't know. It is interesting to think, like, how the guest lists for parties like that really come together on this show. Because it does seem like production would be involved in at least, at least, like, a supplementary way where it's like, is Kyle the one who's telling production, I want Camille at this party? Or is production, like putting out feelers of, hey, Camille, are you in town? what's your vibe? Would you be interested in filming? Because like, Camille could have been invited to that party and just like been in the background for two seconds. And we're like, oh, there's Camille, Kyle's friend. But Camille, like, participated in that event. So I do feel like production was involved somehow. I don't know. Basically what I'm saying is that Kyle and Derreet are not on the same page about absolutely anything this season. So Derreet is going to use whatever little like scrap of, you know, debris that she finds on the ground. to throw it in Kyle's direction and make it an issue. And it's intriguing to me how much Bozema has really, like, fallen in line as kind of, like, a soldier in the Derreet army because, like, Bose and Derreet didn't know each other going into
Starting point is 00:26:29 this season, and they really seem to have clicked on, like, a personality level, which I think is actually kind of great. because a lot of the time when you have new housewives coming onto a show, it does feel like they either stick with the person that they are already besties with, and it's just like by default. Like this season, Jennifer Tilly, I love her presence, but she is there as like Sutton's sidekick. And it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:26:56 She's not giving us too much more. But then you also have people who come in and sort of immediately feud with the person that they were, you know, connected to. And it feels a little bit strategic of like, okay, I'm going to go find like my greener pastures of who I'm going to align myself with. And with Bose, I actually don't feel like her friendship with Derreet is that strategic. Maybe I'm, maybe I'm being a little bit naive here. Maybe there's an element of her that's like, oh, I can use this to my advantage.
Starting point is 00:27:29 But I actually feel like Derreet is going through it this season. and she and Bose have clicked for whatever reason. And having Bose there as somebody who admittedly just is kind of down to listen to Darit yap and yap and yap, that's what Derreet needs right now. The whole thing is that she wants somebody who is going to be by her side and just kind of like listening to her problems. And that person in a past season might have been Kyle, or at least maybe Kyle would have been, you know, in that direction.
Starting point is 00:28:06 But this season, I don't think Kyle wants to listen to Derreet talk at all. And Derreet is somebody who like, and we all have friends like this, Derreet is somebody who just needs a listener. And I don't know if Bose is going to be content to be a listener forever, but for right now she's like, yep, give me that good tea, sis. Like this is what I need is somebody who I can just kind of latch on to and, you know, just kind of be along for the ride. Doreet is main character energy this season.
Starting point is 00:28:36 So being somebody that she can go get lunch with is not a bad place to be in for a first season housewife. I'm interested to see as this season progresses and potentially, you know, in future seasons, I'm interested to see Bose have like a little bit more of her own dynamic going on. I think that I love her on a personality level. It's only been like six episodes. She hasn't really had to get super like involved in. in like drama yet. But I like the way that she's kind of inserting herself into Doreet's situation.
Starting point is 00:29:10 And that sounds bad, but like she's, she's joining the conversation. I'm excited to see her sort of start her own conversations in the future. We're talking so much this season about Erica renovating her house or redecorating her house, whatever. I'm excited to see the finished product. I don't actually need a scene every episode that's her being like, yeah, I just need to find a little bit of freedom and sexiness in this in this space because this is not my style it's like yeah we get it the furniture's old you're going to get new stuff i feel like we can put a pin in that until
Starting point is 00:29:40 like episode 13 or something when she does when she does the final unveil um but the derit and um the derit and pk situation it sounds like it's not going great because derit tells erika that she's going to therapy with pk for the first time and that they really haven't been they haven't been talking much since we saw them earlier this season. And so she's like not, she's not sure what the energy is going to be. And that where she is, she's not 100% sure that she doesn't want to be with P.K. in the future, but that she knows that she doesn't want to be spoken to a certain way. And this is really interesting because not only does she not want to be spoken to a certain way by P.K. But this comes back up later in that Vipar Room party when she's talking to Kyle.
Starting point is 00:30:26 And she's like, you're not going to fucking talk to me like this. And I feel like Doree is just in a place where she's like, I want to be the alpha in my own life. And that comes to, that's when it comes to my friendships. That's when it comes to whatever is happening with my marriage. I'm the one in charge and I'm the one in the driver's seat. And so I don't have space for anybody that's going to yell at me or belittle me or talk to me like I'm a piece of shit. Like, I think that's a great energy for her to have. I really am, I'm loving the Doreet energy this season. But then when she meets up with Bose, she says that their therapy session was four hours long, which first of all, what therapist is doing a four-hour session? I feel like usually it's like 50 minutes and our time is up and I'll see you next week.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Four hours of anything is too much. Like, I don't want to watch a four-hour TV show, a four-hour, you know, anything. Sitting in a therapist's office for four hours, I'm like, yeah, no wonder P.K. got cranky at the end and stormed out. He had his ass, hurt from sitting in the chair. But at the same time, not great. I just am wondering, I'm like, is this actually therapy, or are they in some sort of like mediation, like arbitration, whatever all the words are, the state of California, community property, yada, yada, yada. I don't, I would like to know more about like what their actual therapy setup is, which of course I'm not like entitled to know that because it's like confidential.
Starting point is 00:32:01 or whatever. But like we saw Erica's therapist on the show a couple weeks ago, and I'm obsessed with her. She's telling Erica about pizza party behavior and needing to, you know, earn that shit. I would, I would love to see a Doreet and PKK therapy session on the show. Perhaps that's not what they need, and I can accept that. But it is interesting. It feels like they're at a crossroads where Dorett is now saying that she wants to know all of her options. She wants to be prepared. She wants to feel like she is like getting her ducks in a row because PK is so unpredictable. It's giving a little bit of what's going on with Mia and Gordon right now. Obviously, the specifics of the situation are not exactly the same. But with Mia sort of feeling like, okay, like I need to
Starting point is 00:32:48 get my shit together because I don't know what my husband is going to like do say financially, you know, with the kids, X, Y, Z. I feel like DeReed's kind of in the same position and like that makes me uncomfortable for her. The only other thing I want to touch on is this Sutton and Derreet dynamic, which first of all, I think that Sutton just needs to like accept a little bit that she is not the like friend, friend, soulmate sister that she maybe wants to be or feels like she is.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Because she has had similar issues at this point with Erica, with Kyle, now with Derreet. Like she has some tendencies that make it hard for her to really be that like ride or die chick for other people on the show, which like is fine. That doesn't need to be everybody's energy. But she so feels like it is. But anyway, she has really taken issue with the use of the word weaponizing that, that Bose has used about her situations with DeReed specifically, but also with Kyle. And the thing is like, this is really bringing me back to a. few seasons ago when Sutton and Crystal had their big issues where do you remember Sutton like walked in on what it was when they were in like Big Bear some some place in California with like a lake in a cabin and Sutton walked in on Crystal when she was changing and Crystal said that she felt violated and then it was like a whole season long thing
Starting point is 00:34:21 where something was like I'll just take issue with the word violated because I didn't do anything thing and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And we had to go back and forth for literal months about, okay, well, like, actually the definition of the word violated is like XYZ. And so Crystal, first of all, used it correctly, but also like you're talking about her feelings. And if she felt violated, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It feels like we're doing the same thing again, where Sutton is fixating on this word weaponized. And Bose is like, look, Derreet was affected in this way by your words, so it doesn't really matter whether you felt like you were supposed to be a good friend to her or were weaponizing or whatever. It's like, it was what it was. You said what you said
Starting point is 00:35:05 and she felt away about it and it hurt her feelings and all of this stuff. And like, they have this weird interaction at the vibrant room where something's like, well, you're very, you can be very eloquent and you have a big vocabulary. And I'm like, okay, first of all, I think there's some really strange stuff with telling a black woman that she's eloquent and has a big vocabulary that Bose doesn't even get into, but I'm like, let's, let's just not Sutton. But also it's like, yeah, like Sutton, you also have a way with words that is very deeply confusing and gets you into trouble and stuff like that. And I just feel like it's kind of crazy to me that Sutton has been on this show now for what,
Starting point is 00:35:43 like four or five years and still, I think hasn't really like learned her lesson at all in the way that some of her social interactions go. and I feel like she could benefit from like going back, watching the tape, you know, doing some film study, and kind of being like, oh, okay, I have done the same thing four or five times now and it feels like it goes bad every single time. So maybe I should approach this differently. Suffice to say, I don't think that Sutton and Derreet have like a close sisterhood in their near future. And I think that Sutton should be a little bit realistic about that. But overall, we end on this big. blow up between Kyle and DeReed that's going to be continued next week, and I can't wait to continue talking about it next week because, ooh, things are getting spicy, and I'm so glad Beverly Hills is back, and it's only episode six, so we have a good chunk of season left to go, and we will be here to talk about it the whole time. We will be back for one more episode this week,
Starting point is 00:36:43 actually, on Friday instead of Thursday, because I want to be able to talk about those first few episodes of the traders that are dropping. They're dropping Thursday night at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific. So it's going to be a little bit of like nighttime binge if you're trying to be like fully caught up on traders. But I'll let you know on Friday's episode, you know, like we'll do a little like spoiler demarcation. So if you if you're not fully caught up, you'll still be able to listen. I'll talk about Salt Lake. I'll talk about whatever else is happening in the universe between now and then. But definitely want to talk about traders because I started watching the season and you guys. It's kind of spicy. But thank you so much for
