Mention It All - Everybody Hates Brynn (RHONY Premiere)

Episode Date: October 2, 2024

Hot Housewives Fall has officially kicked off, and Dylan dives in with a recap of the RHONY season 15 premiere. As the reboot cast returns for a second season, their dynamics are more layered, but the...ir communication is as messy as ever. Dylan has some bones to pick, from Jenna’s off-camera relationship to Sai’s on-camera confrontation style, but overall it’s a solid start to a make-or-break season. Earlier in the episode, Dylan talks about the surprise RHOBH teaser, and how the calendar is shaping up for the fall. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:45 Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast. It is Wednesday, and we are in Hot Housewives fall. And today we have another franchise coming back for another season. Real Housewives of New York, season 15 is here. And we are going to talk all things premiere. And oh, boy, am I. excited. It's an interesting episode to dive into our second season with this cast, and we are going to
Starting point is 00:01:09 get into all of it. But first, just a couple little housekeeping notes. I am going to be recording a mailbag episode soon. I'm like, what day is today? What day is tomorrow? I'm in vacation mode already. I'm going to be recording a mailbag episode later this week. So if you have questions, comments, hot takes, anything you want me to discuss, things you want me to rank, things you want me to list, advice, suggestions, anything. Please send me a DM. You can send it to me at Dylan Hafer. You can send it to app Bravo by Betches. Anywhere you want to send it, we will take your questions, comments, maybe keep the concerns to yourself. But I am excited to talk. I feel like it's been a while since I've done a mailbag episode. So excited to get into all of that. We have some other
Starting point is 00:01:56 exciting guests and stuff coming up in the next week or so. Potomac is coming back on Sunday. I'm very excited for that. I have the premiere sitting in my inbox, and I'm going to watch it probably right after I finish recording now. I was, I didn't want to watch the two premieres back to back before I recorded about the Roney one because once it's like I can only really keep one episode in my brain. And that sounds like, that sounds like a lie because of course, in a way I have like a thousand Housewives episodes in my brain. But it's like you really got to keep it fresh. You got to keep it right in the front of your mind there. And so I, I'm excited to dive into Potomac. Of course, that will be premiering on Sunday of this week. But we also, last night, during the Roney premiere, got our first look as generous, but we got a tiny, tiny little tease of the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is just labeled coming soon as of right now.
Starting point is 00:02:59 and it is this teaser that I think is from the cast photo shoot, which we'll talk about it, but they're really incorporating these cast photo shoots more and more. But it's like an old Hollywood glam vibe, and you're just getting these like shadows and silhouettes of the Beverly Hills ladies. And then you start to get like a little peak of their faces and you see Erica and you see Kyle and you see Garcel and Sutton and Boz our new housewife. Beverly Hills coming soon. And you know what's wild? I'm guessing Beverly Hills coming soon means like maybe December at this point because as of next week, as of this coming Sunday, we will once again
Starting point is 00:03:45 have four Housewives franchises airing. Of course we have Orange County, you know, chugging down those tracks. But they've still got, I think, several weeks to go. I don't think that they have filmed their reunion yet. We have Salt Lake, of course, just a couple of episodes into the season. New York premiered last night, Potomac premiering on Sunday, which means that three out of the four shows that are airing or about to be airing are just getting started. So we are going to have a lot of Housewives content pretty much through the end of the year, at least, and I'm so excited about that. And of course, so Beverly Hills, they've now said coming soon. Atlanta is done filming, I believe. So that's going to be coming down the pipeline. I'm excited for everything we have to come. I know New Jersey is a
Starting point is 00:04:32 question mark. Miami took their time to get going, but we have so much to talk about. And I'm excited to hopefully get some of the ladies in here. And just really, it's going to be a full schedule for the fall. And I don't know about you, but I'm excited for it. But let's get into Real Housewives of New York. Of course, last season was the first time that we had met this whole cast. And the, And the reboot was a tough proposition. And I know that people had really strong feelings, and I did too. I think that all things considered season 14 went about as well as they could have hoped for. And by that, I mean, that wasn't an all-time great season of Housewives?
Starting point is 00:05:14 No, it wasn't. It wasn't. It didn't have sort of the stakes and the layers that I think the best Housewives seasons really traffic in. But I think what it did successfully was it introduced us to a new group of women who had a lot of different life experience, a lot of different career path, a lot of different family situation, relationship situation. It just sort of like a lot of different flavors coming together, a lot of interesting personalities, and it laid the groundwork.
Starting point is 00:05:49 And I think that in this season 15 premiere, what we're seeing is that some of that groundwork and some of those maybe sort of growing pains or, you know, sort of little sticking points that we had last year, feel like they have started to iron out. Some of the kinks are becoming smooth. And what you see in this premiere that I think, whether or not you love it, and I think that's something, you know, I've already seen, I'm glad I didn't record this in advance because I think it's really interesting and really telling to see some of the online reaction to this episode, is that that it still is polarizing. And there are always going to be those people in the comment section that are like, bring back my girls, where's Derinda, where's Ramona? But it's like, if you just
Starting point is 00:06:35 take this show at face value and you just, if you try to evaluate it in a vacuum, so much of the conflict that is in this premiere is based on things that have happened and things that people have said and sort of existing tensions and some stuff from last season and some stuff from the off season. And the fact that there is stuff from the off season to pull from is great news for us because it means that these people who have now been on this show together for over a year, almost two years probably since they started filming, they have actually formed relationships with one another. And I think that last season, that was kind of the biggest hurdle that was tough for them to get over is that when push
Starting point is 00:07:24 comes to shove, these people did not have longstanding relationships with one another. And so we've come a long way. And again, whether or not you love this cast, love this episode, are excited for this season, or are kind of like, yeah, I'll suck it up and watch. We are in a much better place than we were a year ago. Now, the start of this season is something that is, I don't think it's ever been done before. And I feel, I know that, you know, reality TV, The Bachelor, Bravo. It's like, there's all this focus on like the most dramatic season ever and, oh, you've never seen a finale like this and, you know, they have to kind of hype these things up. I don't think this Roney premiere was particularly hyped up. I know they put out this cold open
Starting point is 00:08:12 yesterday afternoon, maybe like eight hours before the episode aired, but it wasn't like this thing that had been teased like, oh my God, you'll never believe the way they start this season. And I think that was good because it was exciting and it was different. I don't know that it was like earth-shattering truly. But we start the season at the cast photo shoot. The season 15 cast photo shoot, you know, they take their group photo, they take their, you know, individual shots. And so it's at this cast photo shoot in the summer of 2024. And it says it's five days after the end of filming.
Starting point is 00:08:49 And there is so much tension. could cut it with a knife at this photo shoot because everybody is wondering how Uba and Bryn are going to be in the same room with each other. And at the beginning of this season, it's kind of like Uba and Bryn interesting. You know, Bryn is sort of, um, Bryn's in an interesting position going into this season because it's a little bit of like everybody hates Bryn energy. I think that Bryn has, a little bit of a tendency to do the like, she stirs the pot and then walks away and it's like, oh my God, who did that?
Starting point is 00:09:30 What do you mean? It wasn't me. I was just having fun. I just want to have fun. Can we have fun, please, please, please, please. And like her definition of fun is maybe somebody else's definition of like, ruining my marriage or saying horrible things about me. I think that Brin is, and I think part of it is just her personality, that she is a little bit more, she's a little bit cheeky, she's a little bit naughty, she likes to have a good time, she likes a little bit of a prank, she likes to, you know, have a laugh, have a larf, and not everybody always appreciates the way in which she goes about it. But to see at the beginning of the season that Uba and Bryn are going to end up in such a, such a rough place.
Starting point is 00:10:19 it's a it's a surprising note to kind of start the season on and we get some flashbacks but also i guess flash forwards depending on where you're looking at it of stuff that happens between them during the season we see um we see brin calling uba a six foot toddler we see this dress barn Naomi jazelle comment that was in the trailer brin and uba suddenly is the thing that we're really waiting for this season to pop off, and it doesn't pop off in the, in the premiere. And obviously, you know, they're not going to give us the whole season in the premiere, so we have a long way to go. But it's, it's definitely something worth putting a pin in, and obviously we will come back to it. But then three months earlier, which three months feels fast. I guess they, I guess they kind of cranked this out. I mean,
Starting point is 00:11:12 if the cast photo shoot was in July, they really, they turned this around pretty quickly, which I think we sort of needed them to do. You know, looking at the calendar earlier this summer, it seemed like we were in a pretty rough place in terms of housewives. So I'm glad they're back, obviously. But Brana has a new apartment in Gramercy. Looks gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:11:31 She's the only housewife I could picture actually having like a relatable New York City moving experience where she's like negotiating with them, how they're going to get the couch up the stairs. I'm like, well, I've done that. I have been there. My apartment does not look like hers, but, you know, small wins.
Starting point is 00:11:48 her brother, Daris is visiting from Korea, and this is an interesting catalyst for the first group scene of the season that she's going to have a party so everybody can see her brother. I'm like, yeah, sure, why not? But then we get perhaps my favorite scene of the episode, and this is because Jessel just makes me laugh a way that few other people do, and this is Jessel and Pavitt taking the subway. Now, Jessel, I don't recall how many years she's lived in New York City, but, it's at least one or two. I think a little longer than that. And she says that she has only taken the subway twice. Twice. Now, I tweeted about this, and it got some replies and some
Starting point is 00:12:37 quote tweets of people being like, she is so me, I hate to take the subway. And like, sure, you hate to take the subway. Does anybody like love to take the subway? Actually, I take that back. there are people on TikTok, and I'm sure other places on the internet, but I don't go there, who are obsessed with public transit. And look, I am a public transit, girly. I take the subway. I take the bus. I was on an Amtrak 48 hours ago.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I'm all for it. And you know what? We need better fucking trains in the U.S. Can we talk about this? high speed rail. Maybe I feel more passionately about public transit than I realize. Maybe I'm one of those people. But, you know, Jassel, I get it.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Other people are like, I don't like taking the subway either. Jessel has only taken it twice. And if you live in New York, if you live in New York and you're not like Anna Wintour, most people know, and I think agree that much of the time, taking the subway is actually more convenient, can be faster. I mean, obviously is cheaper. Ubering around New York City is a pain in the ass.
Starting point is 00:14:01 And so, Jessel, if you're listening, I would invite you to learn about our public transit system in New York City and to broaden your horizons. and perhaps you will even save time and make your life a little bit easier. That way, you know, if Aaron invites you to, well, I guess it won't be Tribeca anymore because she's moved uptown. But if she invites you to coffee and you have to get, you know, uptown in a rush, you're not going to sit in traffic on 6th Avenue. You're going to take the subway and it'll take like 10 minutes. So good, so good, so good. Everything you want for summer is at Nordstrom Rack stores now. and up to 60% off.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Stock up and save on the brands you love like Vince, Sam Edelman, frame, and free people. Join the Nordi Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more. Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices.
Starting point is 00:15:05 That's why you rack. Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
Starting point is 00:15:32 It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. I just think that Jessel should have brought in her horizons, you know, be a woman of the world a little bit more. but she says that she has spent $990 on Uber's in the last month. And look, if that's all good with her, more power to her. Pavan takes her to this fully like hole in the wall restaurant in Chinatown. And they're eating on the saddest little single table plopped on the sidewalk. And this is also, Jessel and Pavitt are having a real New York experience in this little sequence because riding the subway and then the situations that we put ourselves in New York,
Starting point is 00:16:19 and I'm not to be like New York is the only place in the world. I'm sure it's like this, some other places too, but like we will sit outside to eat in the most, or I would say in the least luxurious of situations and be like, oh, it's so nice to eat outside. It's like there are piles of trash bags next to you. There's probably rats. there's definitely rats. There's like trucks rumbling by. It might smell bad. Like, you probably smell pee somewhere.
Starting point is 00:16:53 But you're like, oh my God, it's so nice outside. We should eat outside. Jessel's having none of it. They're talking about their child situation and they still have embryos that are expensive, being kept in Beverly Hills. And so they're trying to decide what to do about that. Of course, this is the moment from the trailer where
Starting point is 00:17:12 Jessel's like, but if we have a Beyonce or an Elon Musk and he's like, well, we can get rid of Beyonce, but the Elon Musk I would like. Now, Pavit. Now, Pavit. Careful. Sometimes the men on these shows, we like them, we enjoy them, we think they're fun, we think they're funny, and then they just don't know when to zip it. Pavitt, you're on notice. Don't be talking shit about Beyonce. And in defense of Elon Musk, get it together. Get it together.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Jessel can't be letting her like it girl, you know, meme couple status slip like that. The beehive is going to come for them. If they're not careful, just be careful. But after this scene is when we really start to, start to unravel a little bit of what we are going to be talking about coming into this season. And this is, as I said, we're in a little bit of everyone hates Brin territory. And we have two kind of half-group scenes to sort of lay the groundwork for this season.
Starting point is 00:18:27 So we have Uba and Aaron getting lunch. And this is also where we meet Becky Minkoff. I don't know if I can do Becky. Rebecca Minkoff. Becky. Like, has she always been Becky? And just like the name of the businesses, Rebecca? Becky.
Starting point is 00:18:51 I don't know if I can do calling a woman in her 50s, Becky. Is she in her 50s? If she's not in her 50s, I'm so sorry. 40s? I can't go there. Becky is here. Uba says that she and Aaron got over their issues. Now they're inseparable.
Starting point is 00:19:14 I'm glad to hear that. There is a little bit of, I think one of the side effects of the first reboot season, now being over a year ago, is like some of the issues and the conflicts in that season are a little bit absent from my brain. I can't lie. Like, I have not sat down and rewatched that season. I know that there were conflicts. I know that there were fights. I know that there was tension. I know that, you know, Uba was big mad at her phone being hidden or whatever.
Starting point is 00:19:45 It feels a little bit like nothing from season one really matters anymore, but I'm glad that Uba and Aaron are in a good place. Aaron makes sure to order her mescalume espresso martini by name in the first 10 minutes of the episode, clock that. And I do wonder, I feel like I'm going on a lot of tangents this episode, but I'm just, I'm interested. When you have an alcohol brand, I'm sure that you are pretty aware of. of which restaurants, liquor stores, establishments, are carrying your brand of alcohol.
Starting point is 00:20:17 So, like, I feel like Aaron probably arranged this, because they're at this restaurant, Lula, which I've never been to. It's actually very close to my office. And it's in a hotel, but not like a fancy hotel. So I don't think I've ever seen anybody, like, I've never heard of anyone, like, going there. but importantly, they carry Aaron's mescal brand, Mezcaloom, which I actually have a bottle of. I'm looking at it right now, I think.
Starting point is 00:20:49 I haven't opened it. I'm not a big mescal drinker, but I've heard it's good. But anyway, I digress. Aaron definitely had them come here on the premiere so she could order her mezcalum espresso martini, right? It's like on how many episodes of Salt Lake City have we seen Lisa Barlow order a Vita cocktail, like by name at a restaurant,
Starting point is 00:21:09 And everybody always knows what she's talking about, which means that she is specifically making sure they go to establishments that carry Vita and, like, know that they, like, advertise that they carry Vita. Because, like, if I walked into a random ass bar and was like, can I have a Vita cocktail? They'd be like, first of all, we don't carry that. Second of all, literally, what is that? If you're like, a Casamigos on the rocks, they're like, ah, yes, of course. George Clooney's tequila. Okay, snap back in. So, things are going well with Uber and her man's Oliver.
Starting point is 00:21:46 They're considering maybe trying to have a kid. I didn't expect that for Uber. So, you know, interested to see where that goes. And this is where we get sort of the info dump. And this is that Aaron has some weirdness with Bryn because dot, dot, dot. Cut to Brin is furniture shopping for her new apartment with Jenna and Jessel. And I love the distinction that she's bringing Jenna because she has. has taste, and she's bringing Jessel because she's honest. So she actually trusts Jenna's taste,
Starting point is 00:22:17 but Jessel will tell her if she hates something. And that's, I feel like that's a good, that's a good balance. It's like if you're going wedding dress shopping, you don't want six people who are going to tell you that you look beautiful and everything. You need the one person who's like, actually, the mermaid is not doing it for you. But anyway, we don't really see them actually furniture shopping because they immediately sit down on a couch and start talking about what's going on in the group. And for the third Housewives franchise in a row, we are talking about something that somebody has said
Starting point is 00:22:49 into a microphone between seasons. Because Aaron went on Jeff Lewis Live and they were talking about Brin's money situation. And Jeff insinuated or sort of implied, I don't know, that Bryn had some sort of arrangement, somebody helping her out, maybe a sugar daddy situation. Aaron kind of,
Starting point is 00:23:11 Aaron said she doesn't think that somebody is helping Bryn. But then kind of like laughed about it. I got to say that clip, at least what we saw on the show, and they showed it twice, not that salacious, not that smoking gunnish? Because in Brin's mind,
Starting point is 00:23:30 Aaron was on that show laughing about speculating that Brin is a call girl. And look, like, I don't want to tell somebody that they're being delusional about what somebody else said about them, but like based on, and I don't listen to Jeff Lewis Live, I'm so sorry, chumps, but like, that was not in the clip that we were shown. And I have to imagine that if it was said into a microphone, they would have found it. So, so like, Brin is a little bit, she's a little bit, she's reaching, I would say. But then, so she's mad at Aaron because she allegedly talked about her money situation, laughed about her being a call girl, I don't know. But then on the flip side, Aaron is mad at Bryn because of the proliferation of this story about something that happened in the Hamptons where Jenna Lyons's car broke down.
Starting point is 00:24:31 That like old 1950s-looking ass car. that she is like her pride and joy, it doesn't work or it didn't work or it stopped working. I don't know. So then for whatever reason, I don't know if Jenna didn't have her phone. Maybe I didn't listen close enough. Aaron had to call Jenna an Uber. And apparently this Uber was like $250. I don't know if they were going back to the city or does it cost that much to Uber, like from one person's house to an I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:04 But so Aaron paid for the Uber. Apparently, Jenna never paid her back. And Bryn somehow has made this story into Aaron saying that Jenna is having money troubles or calling Jenna poor. And this is just so stupid. It's so stupid in a way that I appreciate because Housewife storylines sometimes should be stupid. But the fact that there is so much anger about this. Jenna at this thing is like, did Aaron call me poor? And Brin's like, eh, she kind of. Meanwhile, Aaron, this has gotten back to Aaron. And Aaron thinks that Brin making her look bad was her trying to get back at her for this Jeff Lewis money thing. study and play

Starting point is 00:27:03 See you this summer. It's like these two disparate things that happen, but they're both somewhat about money and then I don't know. It's like, okay, where are these stories going? We need to close the loop a little bit on this. But before we can, before we get to Brin's party, we have a couple more little items of business to attend to. We see Cy and Jessel together.
Starting point is 00:27:31 They're doing cold plunges. They've also worked through their issues from season one. Again, sort of forgot they had issues during season one. It happens. but Sai isn't sure where she stands with Bryn and feels like Brin needs to meet her where she is. Again, everybody hates Brin. That's kind of the theme. But Cy also isn't sure where she stands with Jenna because Jenna asked Cy why she was going around telling people that she hates her. So, Cy is like, I never told people I didn't like Jenna. Jenna knows that I don't like her,
Starting point is 00:28:04 but I never said that I didn't hate her. This is like, this is so funny to me. And this is, I feel like this is how Sye's brain works, and I don't, it's not my favorite to watch. But Size, like, I never said I hate her. I just said I don't like her a lot everywhere, including to her face. And it's like, I know that we say like hate is a strong word. But like, is it that much better if you were like, well, I don't like her, but I don't hate her? It's like, we're sort of like, what are we doing here?
Starting point is 00:28:37 Again, some of these conflicts I feel like need to be slightly more grounded in reality. But whatever, we have time. We'll get to that. After that, we go to Jenna's apartment and this scene, I need to let this out. This scene pissed me off bad. Because who is sitting in Jenna's closet with her while she's going through her shoes before Raquel, our new housewife, comes over? Which we're not going to talk much about Raquel this week. I'm sure she'll get into it later.
Starting point is 00:29:07 She seems cool. Before Raquel gets there, we meet Jenna's girlfriend's mom. Because she and Cass, Cass, her girlfriend, who we don't see on the show, she and Cass are getting serious. They've been together for over a year. So her mom's in town. They're getting to know each other. They're spending time together, apparently hanging out in the closet, while Cass is nowhere to be seen. Because reportedly, Jenna Lyons got the green light from Bravo, or from
Starting point is 00:29:38 production or whoever that her girlfriend didn't need to appear on the show this season. Now her fiancé. Sorry. Now they're engaged. And look, I have mixed feelings about people keeping certain parts of their lives private when they're on a show that's about their lives. I think that sometimes it is fine. We have had housewives and friends of who haven't been able to show their kids for whatever
Starting point is 00:30:06 reason, whether it's legal, whether it's a choice. We've had partners that have not been on the show very much. It happens, and sometimes it works. But it is so frustrating to me that in the first episode of this season, it's not that Jenna's keeping her relationship a secret. She posts about it on Instagram. She tells us, you know, right in this episode that things are great with Cass and they've been together for a year, so much so that she's meeting the parents. But I'm like, I don't want to meet the parents. I don't need to meet the parents. Where the fuck is the girlfriend?
Starting point is 00:30:44 It's so strange to me that like, if production decides that we would rather keep Jenna than lose her over forcing her to show the girlfriend, that's fine. But then I don't, why are we meeting the mom? It's such a strange, like, weird, jagged boundary to me that I'm like, if you don't want your relationship on the show, then I always. also don't need to see the mom. But also, why isn't your relationship on the show, even a little bit? This is going to, if this continues to happen this season, it's really going to frustrate me. And I, I don't know if I'm the only one. Maybe I am. Let me know. But I just, I don't get it. And it's, I, I don't know. It's weird. It's strange. We don't know this woman. Why are we meeting her mom? Whatever. We get a scene with Aaron and Abe and the kids.
Starting point is 00:31:36 They've moved uptown. This is really sad because she's talking about her mom having breast cancer, and she's currently doing chemo as they're filming with. And just yesterday, literally the day of the premiere, Erin shared that her father passed away on Instagram. And so obviously, a really tough time in that family and, you know, sending Aaron love. And I hope that, you know, I hope that her mom is doing well. I don't have an update on that, but obviously, you know, to have sick parents and going through loss and stuff like that is just really hard. So sending her and the family love, but there is
Starting point is 00:32:19 a weirdness to this scene because, you know, they're talking to the kids about ice cream, whatever. They're talking about buying a townhouse. The kids like run off somewhere. And then Abe makes a joke about taking shrooms and some, like, it's like a switch flips in Aaron. And she's like, that's not funny. Don't say that. You can't say that on camera. She says on camera, first of all, breaking the fourth wall, casually, surprising. But then just like, the vibe is so off. And Abe says that he, he says his words are being controlled. And you can tell, you can tell that this is something going on. And it cuts to a confessional. First, we get Abe solo in the chair. And he says, he says that he doesn't think Aaron's upset about the mushroom's joke and something
Starting point is 00:33:10 else. There's something else. And then it cuts to Aaron. She shakes her head a little bit. She says, not going there. I'm not ready to talk about the stuff that's going on between me and Abe. Excuse me? My little antennas have never swiveled around so fast. We're going to need to talk about that. Let's talk about the husband. And I, I assume we will. You know, this is the premiere. If we can't dig any deeper than this in 14 or 16 episodes, somebody hasn't done their job properly. But yeah, just a big side eye to that because that was a very strange moment. And it felt like, again, we don't know exactly what's going on in this situation.
Starting point is 00:33:55 But like the joke that Abe made was not that bad. He wasn't like exposing her for doing mushrooms. It was like, ha, ha, this place would be kind of like, okay. Weirdness. Weirdness, weirdness, weirdness. But then we go to Brin's rooftop part. party. She's invited everybody, you know, everybody, pretty much everybody's there. Mostly everybody's there. But it gets messy. It gets messy because Jessel has received a text from Aaron the
Starting point is 00:34:22 night before just saying, so disappointed. With no context. And this is like, God, what a mom text to send. But then it's sort of unclear what Aaron's even mad at Jessel about. because they go to talk and it's like, Aaron is mad at what she thinks that Jessel said to Jenna about this situation with the Uber story and that she thinks that Aaron is manipulating the story to make her... She thinks that the story is being manipulated to make her look bad and we got a reference to the cheese story from last year
Starting point is 00:35:02 and I'm like, we can't be doing that again. Just simply can't. They bring Jenna over and Jenna's like, well, Jessel and Bryn were implying, that Aaron was implying that I had money troubles. And Aaron's like, I wasn't implying that. I literally was making a joke. It's a lot of the game of telephone.
Starting point is 00:35:18 And obviously, I think that that is like, you know, a valid housewives technique. But I feel like, again, I'm losing the thread a little bit, just a little bit. And similarly, Cy asks Jenna about telling people that she was telling people that she hates her. And she says that that came from Bryn. Aaron goes through her texts with Sai and is like, I'm looking, I'm looking, nope, she never said she hates you. And it's like, okay, well, she could have said it somewhere else. And this is when Sai is like, no, no, no, I never said I hate you. I don't like you.
Starting point is 00:35:53 And Jenna's like, ah, yes, right, sounds good. But Sae thought she and Bryn were headed in a better direction. And now she's questioning it because apparently Brin told Jenna that Sai was telling people that she hates her. Again, just so much telephone. And now Cy is saying that the night she went to Jenna's house, it was a weird thing, and there was a lot of tension. And Bryn is like, babe, the night wasn't weird because of me. It was weird because you texted me that Pavit looks like Dory from finding Nemo. What are we doing here?
Starting point is 00:36:31 Why is Dory in it? Why is Pavit in it? Oh my God. It does feel, it feels a little bit like Sai thought that Bryn was going to be the easy target, and then her side of the street wasn't so clean either. I feel like Sai has a tendency to do that. Like she doesn't always, you can hit her with an Uno reverse card,
Starting point is 00:36:59 and she's not going to be prepared for it sometimes. But she has her big moment. She's like, you are unwell, Bryn. Not today's. Satan. Not today, Bren. Si, I, I, I, uh, yeah, she was, I think she was sort of like the, the most polarizing in season one. And I, I don't know that it's looking up for her this season. But we'll see, we'll see, again, lots of time to go. Um, but no more time to go for me. It's time for me
