And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Betches Media presents
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, boo.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer, and I'm really excited to be joined today by one of the cast members on,
I would say, like, the new show of the year so far.
Everybody's loving the Valley.
And I am excited to have Jasmine Good here.
Hello.
Hi, thank you for having me.
So excited.
here. This is so exciting. Excited to have you here. You're the second Valley cast member that I've had on the show. I had
Jesse on maybe like a month ago. How was that? It was good. No, it was funny because I feel like,
especially with like the men of Bravo, people are always like, what's the, what's the vibe? IRL.
I was like, Jesse's a charming guy. I love Jesse. I had a good time. I'm happy to have you here, though.
I feel like we can like, I feel like we can like get into. Yes. Get into it a little bit.
How has this season been for you just kind of like bird's eye view now that we're getting toward the end?
It's been crazy.
Just watching everything back has just, it's different when you're in it.
You're filming, you're kind of just going through with emotions and watching it back.
It just seems so much more dramatic than what it is.
I think like filming, you're like, okay, that doesn't seem bad.
That's easy drama.
Watching it back, I'm like, holy crap, that's intense, you know?
So it's definitely just interesting watching it back.
Yeah, I think coming into this show when we first heard that it was happening.
and saw who was on the cast, it felt a little bit like we weren't sure exactly what to expect.
And there were a lot of new faces.
But watching the show, it's like, oh, there's, it's kind of coming from every angle.
Oh, my God.
It is so crazy.
I think about when we started it or just even the idea that it was happening, I was like, how is
group?
How is it all going to work?
Because we all have like, we're all like these crazy characters.
We have all this crazy energy.
I was like, how is this all going to work?
But it just did.
And it's blown up.
I didn't even think.
I was like, wow, I did not expect.
I knew it was going to be a great show.
But I was just like, wow, the love has been like out of control.
And I love it.
Like, thank you guys so much.
So if people aren't aware, you have done reality TV before, you were on The Bachelor, like seven years ago, ish.
Seven years ago.
What was it like?
Obviously, those are two extremely different formats of a show.
And it's been a while.
What was it like making the decision to come back to reality TV, albeit in a very different type of setting?
Yeah.
It was such a, like, crazy decision to do.
I think to me, I always said after the bachelor,
I was like, I'm done with reality TV.
I don't want to go back.
It's just, it's too much mentally.
Like, I can't take it.
But, you know, being approached to do the show with my girlfriend,
we were like, this is great.
Like, you know, we can hang out with our friends all summer.
We can just like, you know, show, you know, what we do.
We do so much dope stuff.
And I'm like, people need to see this.
So I wasn't like hard to make that decision.
It was kind of like, okay, you know what?
This works.
If I'm going to do something, I want to do it with you.
I don't want to do it by myself.
So, but unfortunately, kind of happened that way a little bit because she was under contract.
So yeah, it's, it's, so we've met your girlfriend on the show a little bit, Melissa.
Do you think that looking at a potential season two down the line, would you want to bring your relationship on the show more?
Yeah, 100%.
Like, I definitely want her to be involved.
You know, we both were approached in the beginning to do this together.
So I think the network wants that and hopefully we'll be able to do that season two.
It's such an interesting dynamic on your cast.
because there's obviously Brittany and Jackson, Kristen, the people know from watching Vanderpumperals,
but then there's all of these couples.
And it's like, okay, like, what's the each little like unit.
And then we have you and Zach are like feeling a little bit of like.
Like, hey, we're here.
We're going to bring the fun.
To have somebody who can kind of like give you a little bit of that commentary where it's like,
okay, like everybody here is like a little bit of a mess.
Right.
I know.
We need that.
That's why it's a big bear.
You know, it was so sad that Zach wasn't there.
person because we need that like fun that like entertainment and I always say like Zach is like
I can watch him for hours like he just does the craziest thing he just stand there and you can just
laugh at him so I wish we had that kind of like relief like comic comedy relief at the on the trip
but yeah it's just having that different dynamic we needed everybody brings something to the table
everybody does everybody's the couples are so different Zach is like it's a lot but it all works
somehow do you feel like you got caught in the middle at all this season because you have
relationships with most everyone on the cast?
100%.
And that's always been my problem because I've just always looked at things as like,
I'm going to be the bigger person or I want to give people a chance.
And I've just always been like that.
And I think with this group, I do get caught in the middle of that.
And it's frustrating because you want everybody to be cool with each other and have a good
time.
But it's like they don't see it the way I'm seeing it.
I get everybody has their opinion.
They can I respect your feelings.
But it's like, guys, why can't we all just be cool?
So it is hard being stuck in the middle.
and I hate it.
I hate it, hate it, hate it.
But, I mean, I'm not going to change who I am.
I'm not going to, like, hate somebody because you don't hate them.
I'm not going to ice out, Kristen, because you want to ice her out, not doing that.
Because, no, I'm growing.
Yeah.
I think on an ensemble show like this, even, I mean, obviously for you, you're saying that's who I am.
I'm not going to change who I am.
But just from, like, looking at everybody's, you know, pieces on the board, it's like,
you need somebody who's going to be a voice of reason, kind of bridging the gaps,
mending the fences. Like there there is, I think, value in having those, that feeling within the group where it's
like, okay, no, but like we can all still. Yeah, I agree. I agree. I think that is good to have someone like that.
I'm happy. I'm taking that role, I guess, because if we didn't, it would just be a hot mess. Like,
you just can't separate people. You have to have somebody who's going to be like, all right,
you need to listen. You're being a bitch right now. You're being a mean girl. Pull it up. Kristen,
you're being, you're being nuts right now. Bring it together. You know, you need that person that's
going to put your foot down and try to make everybody happy. Yeah.
It does backfire, though, all the time.
Earlier in the season, there was the whole, like, rumor tangled mess of what was happening
with Michelle and that hallway.
Oh, that fight?
Oh, what you're talking about?
There's like two.
Well, the first thing.
I guess, I guess it all, it feels like it kind of was like a, like a stone rolling down
the hill picking up.
Oh, my God.
The balding event, yes.
And the fight in the hallway.
So I feel like for some of the, some of the.
like grapevine rumors and stuff. It felt like your name was kind of being like thrown into the
into the ring. What was your take on that kind of whole situation and like your involvement or
maybe lack thereof? Um, the first thing that I got involved in. Yes, let's go there. So it's,
it's that it pissed me off because I know the conversation that I had with like Janet. I knew
what was said. So for things to get twisted and jazz and said this. I hate that because I'm like,
I like to go to the source if there's a problem.
There's something going on.
Let's talk it out.
Let's figure it out.
But Janet wasn't the other night.
So she couldn't like defend herself.
She couldn't defend me in the situation.
So it's like my name's getting thrown around.
I hate that.
Then at the balding event,
my name's getting thrown around again.
And I'm like,
what is happening?
I think they sent my name like five times.
I wasn't even in the scene.
I was like,
put a dollar in the Jasmine jar.
Literally.
I was like,
oh my God.
Just stop guys.
Yeah.
So it's hard.
It's hard to deal with that.
It's interesting to think of having a group of friends that's,
not on a reality show
and then when the
cameras come in
it's not necessarily like you're
a different person
but there is kind of that like
there's that idea of like
okay well I have this conversation there
so now I need to bring it
to the next place
and advance the conversation
within the group and it's really easy
for things to get spun out of phone
the game of telephone in this group
is crazy it's like and that's why
I you know I call Kristen a line
but she's not a liar
Kristen just gets the information wrong
Like I think this is the problem with the group.
They can't get the information right.
So it's like when the information is wrong, then it turns into something else.
And it's like, that's the problem.
It's like if we can just go to the source and go to that person, I think we'll be fine, which I'm all about.
I love it.
If you have a problem, call me.
Let's talk.
Like, I don't want to do this whole.
I just think it's better.
I feel like Kristen is she's the person who will like, she'll throw the grenade without realizing it.
And then she'll literally be like, what do?
Why is everyone mad at me?
But that's what you guys want.
Literally, that's what she does.
She just like, does it, like says it.
It's like, no, Kristen, that's not how it went, you know?
But you got it right, but got it wrong at the same time.
And then once something is, you know, said within the group or said on camera or whatever, it's like you can't put it back in the bottle.
You can't.
You can't.
And I think from that, when that happens, you have to take accountability.
You just have to like own up to your shit and just that's the only way you can move forward.
But we'll see if this group can do that.
Stay tuned.

I'm curious, so going back a little bit, you used to work at Sir.
Yes, I was a host.
A former server.
What was, so you obviously have been in the kind of world of Vanderpump, Vanderpump rules, all of that,
your friends with a lot of the cast that we know.
How much had you watched the show?
I didn't watch like religiously because when I first moved to L.A., my roommate, which everybody
probably knows who she is, she was, I guess James was cheating on Raquel with her.
Her name's Hope.
Okay.
Everybody knows who yous.
That was my roommate.
So that's kind of how I got brought into this whole thing.
I knew everybody.
I knew the drama.
And it's just crazy when you're working there and you see everything happening.
And I watched the show because they play it while we're working.
So I kind of got caught up that way.
But I didn't really watch it before.
It's kind of like I would see it here and there, do a couple episodes.
But I wasn't like a crazy fan of the show yet.
And then when I met everybody, I was like, okay, I got to watch the show now because I need to know who are these friends of mine.
You know, I got to get caught up.
And I'm like, holy crap.
These people are crazy.
But in a good way, the best way.
The best way.
No, it is, it's funny because I feel like when you're working there, you're like,
okay, like I get little like bits of the drama.
Like I know kind of who's dating who.
All the drama.
When you watch the show and it's like, wait, sorry, what?
Yeah, all the, because it's so weird when it watching working there and like seeing the drama,
like, I remember there was a moment.
Kristen runs, storms in and James like DJing that they had drama.
So it's like different watching all this drama happening and then watching them on the show.
It's like, wait, what?
Like, different world.
How long ago did you stop working?
working at sir. I pandemic. When the pandemic happened, I worked like a month, like a couple months
and then stopped. I was like, okay, I'm done. Because everybody was leaving. She loved. I think she loved
Jacks would pop in and do like a bar day. But everybody was like all my friends that I started with were
gone. Right. And it's like a whole new group. And I'm like, oh, okay. Yeah. It definitely has changed.
Because I feel like back in the day, like people who watch the show would be like, oh, I'm going to
or on a Friday night.
Like, who's going to be my server?
Is it going to be?
And now it's like, okay, you might see Peter.
But that's about it.
People would call in.
Like, hi, is Lisa there?
And I'm like, no.
They're like, this server going to be?
I'm like, guys, they film a show.
They actually don't work here.
They didn't.
I'm like, they don't work here.
But it's like the character meet and greet at Disneyland.
Yeah.
What time is Mickey going to be by the castle?
People would literally call in and be like, hi, is Lisa going to be there today?
I'm like, no, she owns the restaurant, but she's not here every night.
Right.
She's not like camped out at the bar.
Yeah.
like, oh, darn, I really thought she was going to be here.
I'm like, no, sorry.
Yeah.
Here's a picture of the sur sign.
So then what was it like?
So there was, I guess, a few years between when you worked there and when you started
filming the Valley.
Did you keep up much with like Jackson, Brittany and Kristen in between them?
Kristen, yes.
Jackson, Brittany, not so much.
I kind of see them like, I saw my Sheena's wedding, like things like that.
But it was never, we weren't as close until like this past year.
Kristen, we were super close when she's, before she started.
dating Luke, her ex, you know, Alex, everybody knows who Alex's.
She was dating him at the time.
So we were all super close during a pandemic because right after I finished working as
sir, she was always there.
Alex, we would play games.
They'd come over our apartment.
It was like Melrose Place.
Janet lived down the hall.
Me and Zach were living together.
So it was just like this whole fun group.
And we got super, super close.
And then kind of like stop talking for a little bit just because life and, you know,
getting a relationship, traveling and doing things.
But then like this past two years, we all, me, Jack's Bernie,
you all started getting closer again.
Yeah.
It has been...
Crazy.
It's been really interesting this season.
After seeing so much of Jackson Brittany's relationship on Vanderpump Rules sort of a while back now,
getting kind of like the check-in of where they're at this season, it's been...
It's so crazy, right?
How much of that...
Obviously, like in Big Bear, things kind of exploded a little bit.
But up until then, just, you know, not...
always being obviously like at home with them and stuff while you were filming like did you have much of
an inkling that things had gotten to that place with them yeah okay so I knew they were having issues
like it was obvious but I didn't think it was to the point where they were going to separate
I really truly thought like jacks was going to like get his shit together I thought they were
really going to put in this work because they were planning having a baby like Brittany literally
had like a schedule like this before you even started filming she was like yeah I'm going to have this
we're having this baby. This is when we're going to start. So I really thought they were going to,
you know, make this, you know, work it out. So seeing that they're separating and she moved out,
I was like so confused because I'm like, wait, I thought you guys really trying to work this out.
But I think, you know, you need time. I think they just need to be separated because they,
they're great people. Like, Jess is a great dad, brings a great mom. I just think together they're
just something's off right now and maybe they need to take a second. Yeah. And it's clear watching the
show that the communication isn't quite there. They're not,
meeting each other's needs in a way. And it's tough because it's like, you know, when you have a
kid together and you have been together for so long, it's like you want to like stick it out and make it
work. But it's like if it's not serving anybody, then it's, but I thought it, you know, there was a
moment me and Jacks, we talked, you know, we had drinks and he was telling me how much he loved. He
was like, telling me this whole story, how just going really into it. And I'm like, wow, he really
loves her. And I know he's like, and I'm not, you know, I want to be with her. She's my best friend.
Yeah. And that moment, I was like, okay, there's no way. Like, he's making this work.
And so flash forward to Big Bear and seeing how he's talking to her.
I'm like, whoa, you know, I don't know their conversations when, you know, they're in private.
Right.
So to see that happen at Big Bear, I was like, whoa, this is deeper than I thought.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A date night.
I love her accent.
Day night.
How does she say?
Oh, God.
It's so cute.
I love her.
Yeah.
But yeah, it was hard like seeing.
I'm like, wow, this is, you know, deeper than I thought it was.
So, yeah.
It's been.
It's been, I mean, I don't, I'm single.
I don't have kids.
whatever, but it's been interesting watching the show, seeing all the different types of dynamics.
Obviously, Jesse and Michelle are in further along whatever road.
Jesse and Michelle, the extremes.
We got extreme.
That's the thing.
These couples are all extremes, you know?
And that's why I guess it works.
But like Janet and Jason approaching being first-time parents and Danny and Nia dealing with their, you know, stuff that they're going through.
Like, it is, there's a lot to take in.
And I think it really is, it's kind of like a rich experience.
watching it because it feels like everybody really is living a different version.
That's exactly what I said.
I was like, I was so nerpt going into the show.
I kept thinking, I was like, how is this all going to work?
Like even me and Melissa, I was like, we're not married.
We're not kids.
And they're like, no, this is great.
Like everybody has something to show and now watching them like, you're right.
Yeah.
Everyone has their own.
Because I think sometimes people have the idea that it's like once you, you know, grow up and like,
you know, get married, have a baby, whatever, that then you're no longer.
really interesting.
Yeah.
I'm like,
no,
we could be fun.
I feel like there was,
some people were kind of looking at this show when it was announced.
It's like,
I don't want to watch like a bunch of people with kids.
And it's like,
people with kids.
I was like,
people with kids,
they can get lit.
People with kids can pop off and go crazy as you can see.
So it doesn't matter about,
you know,
having kids.
It's like,
or being older or whatever.
It's like,
come on.
We're all the same.
And honestly,
like,
no,
it's like nothing's really changed.
You know,
they just not working as sir anymore.
Basically.

I want to talk about the trip to Big Bear.
I feel like we've touched on it a little bit,
But you, it hit me as I was, I rewatched it this morning and I was like,
Jasmine's the only person there without a partner.
I know.
I was so bad.
And like, like, maybe not everybody is having the best time with their partner while they're there.
But like, I was so upset because like Melissa was going to come up.
And I was like, just please, because she had a work meeting.
And I was like, just come up.
Like, you'll be able to work somewhere in the house.
Thank gosh, you didn't because where was she able to work with all the fights going on?
But I was so mad.
I was like, I need somebody.
And the fact that Zach wasn't there or Chris.
either. I was like, okay, I need some like comedy. I need something fun because this is too much. And
stressful also was not relaxing at all. I did. I did have to laugh when when Zach posted that
Instagram story. Yes. Messy boots. But the way. The way that Janet and some of the others were
reacting to it. You're acting like the night stalker is outside the house. Exactly. I remember this
moment and I was thinking like when I saw it, I laughed. I cracked up and I sent Zach and I was like,
you're crazy. You're funny.
And then everyone's freaking out the next day.
Janet's like crying.
And I'm like, girl, I'm like, it's Zach.
He's just being petty.
He's trolling you.
Like, he's not going to come up here and like, you know, do something.
Like it's Zach.
Like, she's been friends with him longer than me.
So I'm like, girl, you know he's just trolling.
I feel like there might be something about the, the heightened experience of doing the show that
almost makes things feel like more deep and more intense than they are.
That's true.
She's probably in her head.
Right.
It's like you and you and Zach are like going through it a little bit.
it figure it out.
Exactly.
I think it's like more like I know you're having issues with him, but like you're in
your head right now.
You're a little stressed out.
I get it.
You're nervous.
But it's like, come on.
Like I think like you said, people get in their head too much.
I think she was just kind of like overthinking everything and like, you know, the cameras
around.
People, it's just a lot.
You know, and she's pregnant.
So it's just everything mixed into one, I guess.
Yeah.
Can you talk about you have a friendship with Michelle, obviously.
I mean, you have a friendship with Jesse too.
Yeah.
Both of them.
Yeah.
We're all good.
We, what was it like kind of being in the thick of this period of their relationship?
Because, I mean, they separated like a few weeks after you stopped filming.
The day after.
It was, they were pretty far along this process of trying to get to a better place.
And we see Jesse on the show being like, I think it's over.
Yeah.
I don't think it's going to.
It's so sad.
I mean, watching it, it's so sad because hanging out with them, whatever, all summer.
Yeah.
It just felt like everything was fine or they were working on it.
You know, a big bear, they were having.
having a great time. They were like flirting. I think they might have, you know, got it on. Like,
I was like, okay, this is great. For a couple minutes at least. I just thought like, okay, I saw
improvement. Let me just say, I saw like this improvement. But behind closed doors, we're seeing
what's really happening in their conversations and I can read it. It's like read the room. This is over.
Yeah. But watching it, I didn't. Well, it seems like, it seems like maybe for them that it's,
it was more of like a disconnect than like a they hate each other kind of thing. Yes, Michelle. Oh my gosh.
I've never seen somebody so miserable before. I was looking at her like, are you happy? Are you okay?
Like it was just always like, boring, you know?
But I think it's because she was just unhappy.
Yeah.
I don't think she's boring.
I think she's just going through it, right?
Because like I would be unhappy too if I'm in a marriage with somebody I don't want to be with or just disconnected like you said.
Yeah.
I think there's something almost mature about when you can get to the point where you're like, this just isn't what we need.
And that's why I'm happy that they figure that out because it's just so hard watching them trying to make it work.
And you see Jesse like he's really trying.
he was trying hard.
Yeah.
And Michelle was just like, next, next question, Jesse.
Right.
It's like at a certain point, you're just kind of spinning the wheels.
And it's like, I was like, get out of it.
It's like, we could do this for another six months or we could just like start our next chapter and figure out our co-parenting, whatever.
And I'm so proud of her for.
Yeah.
Realizing that.
I was really happy when Jesse was here, he was saying that like he threw a birthday party for Isabella and she came.
And like it was, you know, it's like.
And they're so happy now.
Like she's in a better place.
He seems in a good place too.
And that's all that matters, taking care of their kid and making sure they're happy and having a great life because the two of them.
Do you feel like that's when you look at Jackson and Brittany, do you think that that's like where they're headed or do you, I don't know.
I know.
It's so hard because I really did believe that they were going to figure it out.
I really truly and I still kind of feel like they could because I know Jacks loves Brittany.
He like that's his, you know, his best friend, his love of life, he says.
So I know he wants to work it out, but I just don't know if he's going to put in the work.
And Britney's kind of like done a little bit.
So I don't know.
I think it's just time we'll tell.
I'm happy for Brittany getting to the point where she says you need to put it in the work.
Yes.
Because I think that that's something that probably a lot of people, whether they're on a show or not,
struggle with saying like, I need to put my foot down and I need to set the bar.
And if you're not going to clear the bar, somebody else will.
You got to go.
No, she, I'm so proud of her.
Like, I think back, like, Britney's been always, she's always just so sweet.
And, like, you know, Jack's just, he's a lot.
And she just deals with that.
And the fact that she literally is like, I'm not doing this.
I'm moving out.
I'm going to do me is beautiful.
And I'm so proud of her because it's so hard to do that.
Yeah.
Especially when you're stuck in a relationship with, you know, that type of relationship for years.
Totally.
Well, I think there is so much that season two of this show has the potential to, to cover.
You have no idea.
I'm excited to see what's going to happen.
And I mean, I know we don't have all the answers yet.
You have no idea.
Like from the rap from rapping to now, it's like,
yes.
Every day is something new.
Every day is some kind of new drama, a new story and this.
And I'm just like, this is why we just need to have like a reunion so we can talk about these
things.
So we're not going to have a reunion.
So I'm like, just pick these cameras up.
Let's go.
Because I got things I need to say too.
I'm curious to get your take, though.
Obviously one of the big questions going into a second season is, are we going to see more
Vanderpump rules people making their way onto the valley.
And you obviously have a lot of existing relationships and connections.
Do you feel like you would prefer to kind of keep it the way it is?
Or when it's like a Sheena, la, la, like, do you think that that's an exciting potential for the show?
I don't think we have so much we have to take care of over here that we need to like handle.
I don't think we need them to come over and bring whatever.
I mean, I love Gina.
She's like one of my best ones.
I would love to film with her, of course.
But I just like there's so much we need to do as a cast here.
Yeah.
That is like, let's handle this first.
Yeah.
Maybe I could pop in at a party here and there.
But like that's kind of how I feel.
Because I think if there, if the valley had come out and it was like, okay, this show's cute.
But like it's a little.
Yeah.
Whatever.
Maybe we spice it up a little.
But it's like it's spicy.
I don't think we need it.
And I'm not saying this in a bad way.
I just don't think we need them.
I love them.
I would like I said, hang out with them.
But I just don't think we need them over here because we have.
this we just have so much going on like we don't need it i think we we have so much we need to
like handle first yeah they'll be great but and la is pregnant like we already had janet she was pregnant
last season can we not have a pregnant person one season can we just have we got to have we got to let
you have a cocktail next season yes can we not like janet yes i love tipsy janet okay that is the
girl i need right now so yeah i think we're going to be i'm curious for you other than maybe
your relationship seeing a little more on the show is there anything when you think about future
seasons that you feel like you would be excited to to kind of share with the audience. Yeah. I mean,
besides my relationship course, I want people to dig more and have to see me and Melissa. We do so many
cool things. I'm like, people can just see what we do. It's so fun. But like, I guess work too.
Michelle, she's a real estate. I just starting into real estate. So it's fun to like show that part as
well, us working together. Um, if you can get a chance because there's always some drama. So I don't know.
A little like selling the valley action. I think that would be cute. Um, so just things like that.
I think more personal life.
I would love to show about that.
I think we got to get you guys on like an international trip too.
Oh my God.
Yes.
We need a trip like that's not in the woods somewhere.
We need a beach and some cocktails like pool.
Yeah.
It's just the house was just giving locked up and I just felt like I can get away.
And yeah.
I want like lobster.
I want some shrimp.
Want to be on a beach with some tacos.
Anything.
Absolutely.
Maybe you can.
Not a pontoon boat.
More like a yacht.
Okay.
Maybe you can.
host. Yes. I'm like, I will take the hosting. I love hosting. So I'm down for that. Okay. Well,
I'm excited. I can't wait to see how this season ends and how the next one's wait. Just wait.
