Starting point is 00:00:00 Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
Starting point is 00:00:24 It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. Betches Media presents. Ha ha, laugh, funny. Mention It All. A Bravo by Betcha's podcast. We don't say that, but now we said it.
Starting point is 00:00:41 With Dylan Hafer. Oh, don't check me, though. And Barry Rosenfeld. I need to start drinking alcohol. Now go to sleep, we. Hey, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of the Mention It All podcast. I'm Dylan Hafer.
Starting point is 00:00:55 And I'm Barry Rosenfeld. How are we feeling? We're, oh my God. We're feeling amazing. Oh, yeah. I guess. I don't know. This week is going by kind of fast.
Starting point is 00:01:09 There's lots going on. Maybe not like, maybe fast, isn't the right word? Maybe like slow it down a little. Yeah. We're getting there. This episode is very exciting because we have Jackie Gold Schneider on the second half of the episode. So we're going to recap New Jersey, Dallas, talk about some breaking news. And then stick around for our interview with Jackie because we talk.
Starting point is 00:01:33 about, you know, that little cheating rumor, the fight with Teresa, how she feels about the reunion. We got into a lot. Her book that she's starting to write. She's starting to write. Yes. Jackie's just great. We love Jackie. We love Jackie.
Starting point is 00:01:51 One of my friends has coined the fan name for Jackie Jackalantons. Okay. That's like her fan. I don't know. Okay. we have not recorded since the Real House of New York trailer came out, and since we got all our Bethany breaking news that her divorce is final, and she is now apparently engaged to her boyfriend Paul.
Starting point is 00:02:16 So how are we- Congratulations. To be honest, like when it first broke, like when all of it was happening, I forgot what I was doing. And I just like, I didn't care that much. Like, I was just like, this is a lot. Like, I was focused on like the, trailer and then I saw all, before I even saw what happened with Bethany, I saw all the memes
Starting point is 00:02:35 happening. So I like truly didn't know what was going on. And I was like, okay. But honestly, someone pointed out, she is really, she's like Chris Jenner Jr. Like she knows the timing. She knows what she's doing. Yes. It was, wait, actually, Chris Jenner Jr. is like a large statement. Well, it was funny because at first her divorce news broke like an hour before the trailer was going to come out. And so it seemed like, oh, maybe she's kind of trying to like bury that news with the trailer. But then the engagement news came out like the exact same time as the trailer. And it's like, oh, no, no, no. She wants this to be a moment. So do we know, did she get engaged that day, like once her divorce final? Or like she just announced her engagement.
Starting point is 00:03:19 So we don't know about the engagement. But what I understand is that the divorce was actually finalized in January, but it wasn't like the new, it was. wasn't public information until this week. So the timing feels strategic. It was not like she got the okay to be divorced at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Okay. Okay, but let's just quickly talk about the season 13 trailer that we got. It's premiering on May 4th, which is a Tuesday, which means it's taking over the Dallas slot. Thank God. It looks exciting. It looks exciting. It looks fun. We get...
Starting point is 00:04:01 It looks so typical New York. It looks very typical New York, of course, with the addition of Miss Ebony, who looks like she's going to cause a stir for sure. We see her getting into with Ramona a little bit in the trailer, with Luann maybe. I'm really excited to see what Ebony brings. And of course, we also have Bershon joining the show as a friend. I have been looking at her Instagram, Bershon, and she seems like very... like a very fun person to have around.
Starting point is 00:04:32 So I'm excited to see her too. I'm a little like not like stalking or doing anything yet because I did like a double teak and I got upset that the trailer came out and everything and it's still coming out May 4th because to me that is light years away and I'm just like I'm not ready. Like I'm not hyping myself up and then like we're not talking about it for another over month. So I keep forgetting that March is like almost over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:55 So yeah, it's in like six weeks. Very exciting. And also, speaking of stalking people on Instagram, Sonia Morgan's daughter Quincy made her Instagram public for the first time ever yesterday. She is a clone of her mother. Yeah, so beautiful. It looks just like Sonia. The best thing on her feed is for Mother's Day last year.
Starting point is 00:05:17 She recreated some iconic Sonia moments from the show. And it's like her with the toast of bread that has the SM initials on it, her in bed with the remote wearing the tiara. Is she already a great follow? Is she 18? Is that why? Is she 18 now? She's like, she's like 20. She's older. She's been in college for a couple of years. But I don't know. I don't know why she's going public now, but I won't complain. Yeah. Okay. We have to talk about real houses of New Jersey
Starting point is 00:05:45 because last night I was, I was again, my jaw on the floor in the last five minutes. But the whole episode was really good. People were like. Good episode. What happened? What happened? And I was like, watch the episode. I'm not, or listen to my podcast. I'm not recapping it via DM.
Starting point is 00:06:03 If you don't, if you don't want to watch the actual show, listen to the podcast. That's where you get the recap. I work over time. No, I'm kidding. No, this episode brought us a lot of different, you know, different little moments, different emotions. We had, you know, our Dolores relationship update, which I feel like is becoming a weekly thing and I always enjoy it. She and Frank still seem like the average, like,
Starting point is 00:06:32 married couple that bickers sometimes. And she and David still seem like acquaintances, but I don't know. Like, like just passing in the grocery store, like, you know, like in the aisle. Hey, how you doing? How's it going? She's, she's having this charity party for her award at David's house that she has decorated fully with like wedding flower arrangements. And David like stops by to say hello, but leaves before anyone gets there. And it's like, wait, why are we doing this at David's house? Well, he said he, she's like begs him to like stay to like say hello to the girl. So like he literally is like, hey, Melissa Gorga and like goes out the door. I was like, I don't think that's exactly what Dolores meant. I think she wanted you to like mingle, have a bite to eat. But I feel like
Starting point is 00:07:19 he's like looks at it where it's like way, I left work and I came and I said, hello, what's up? And then I left. Like, you didn't, you didn't do, you did the bare minimum. You didn't do like what Frank was doing where he was crying in the corner watching her, except her beautiful award because Frank is the hype man we all need. Frank is. And we see, we see Gabby home from Fed School. Oh, God. Dolores is getting her award. And, you know, all the girls minus Teresa come because Teresa had Gabriella's soccer game, which I love that it's like, I forget that there, that these are like real families with real lives.
Starting point is 00:07:58 And it's like, gee, it's his gymnastics. Gabriela has a soccer game. Like it's so. Yeah, it doesn't do gymnastics on Triana. Adriana. Imagine. But I. Well, that was a long time ago.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Yes, but it was so funny too. Speaking of Gia really quick, like when Teresa got the call that her house is being sold, she's like, all right, just text Gia. She'll set it all. up and I was like, selling your $2.3 million home. Gia's like the property manager. Okay, so we do get a really nice scene of Teresa and the girls, which we haven't seen, we haven't seen much of the-
Starting point is 00:08:32 every time. We haven't seen much of the Judei's family yet this season, aside from a little bit with Gia. So it's really nice to see all four girls in the house and there, you know, Teresa's cooking dinner and, you know, Milana, Gia's looking at Melania's skin. it's like I love their family vibe. Gabriela. Yeah, Gabriella is the best because she always just walks in.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Like she has to be part of the scene. Like she doesn't want to. And like, Adriana is just his little cutie sitting. But honestly, as much as Teresa can do bad or wrong, whatever, she, when she is in scenes with her family, her daughter's talking about her parents, it just hits you differently. Like, yeah. That is her priority. She doesn't care about anything else.
Starting point is 00:09:19 And like it's just very sad, like what she's gone through. And it's, it's, I feel for her. And she is doing a great job at being a good mom and, and continuing to like keep her focus. But then she fears off track a bit. When we saw her in the confessional talking about losing her father, that was just like a super emotional moment. I feel like everyone who's been watching this show for all these scenes. seasons, even if you, even if you think Teresa's like the worst person in the world watching that, like, it just, it just hits home. And, you know, thinking back just to last season on the show, Nona was like constantly around. He was cooking in the kitchen. He was, you know, spending time with the girls. And so, um, it was nice to kind of get a little bit of a tribute to him because we haven't really heard, you know, we haven't seen too much of Teresa kind of off on her own this season yet. Um, but. But, but. But yeah, I mean, only Teresa could make me cry and then like scream in the same house.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I know. It's a lot of back and forth. But we, it's so funny because we're going down to the Jersey Shore. And I'm watching this and I have no idea what month it is in general. Like on the show, I'm like, what month is it during the year? I don't know if it's summer. I don't know when we are. But so Melissa and Dolores both have houses in Tom's River, which I think is really funny. but I guess not to people who like live there. To me, I think I don't think of that town as Jersey Shore, but it is, but whatever. So they're each staying at their like three are saying in one house, three are saying the other, like they have to separate it.
Starting point is 00:11:00 So Jackie and Teresa aren't in the same house. But Jackie is like we obviously spoke to her about this. Like she's a strong person and what happened was emotional. But the girls kept bringing up. She's going to cry again. she's going to cry again. And Jackie was like, no, I'm not. Like, just let it go. Like, I don't want to talk about it. You all are bringing it up. I made it very clear. We're not going to acknowledge what happened. We're just going to like not, it's not the time or place where it's someone else's
Starting point is 00:11:29 house. We're there to enjoy the weekend. Like, and you just knew that wasn't going to happen. Like, even when all the girls were cooking dinner at Dolores's house, like, they were like, so what do you think's going to happen? What do you think's going to happen? Because you just never know with Teresa. And that's the scary part. It's one of those things where it's like, sure, there was an elephant in the room. Right. But if both of them had just been cool with kind of, you know, putting it behind them and being chill, it wouldn't have really mattered. So for them to keep bringing it up to Jackie, it's like, just, just let her come, like, let her exist in the group.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And we talk about that in our interview a little bit, how it's like, when she came back, like, she had gone and kind of figured her shit out. She didn't want to come back and have that be kind of what she was talking about for the rest of the season. And she tweeted last night after the episode. At this point, the rumor is Teresa's storyline, not hers, which may be debatable. I don't know. It's not necessarily that distinct to me. Like everyone's kind of still involved in it together. But I get what she means that it's like, she's fine to just like go about her business.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And, you know, Teresa really kind of throws the first stone in this whole. shore situation when she's giving out the dildos that Joe, that her now ex-husband Joe is selling, which I loved, I loved her talking about that. But she's giving out the dildos and she tells Jackie that she can stick it up her ass, but it might not fit. And, you know, it's like why? I understand.
Starting point is 00:13:06 I don't think that was like a horrible thing to say. It was a response to what Jackie said about the olive branch, whatever. But I think if Teresa had a little more. social intelligence or whatever, she would have recognized that they're not in a place to joke like that with each other. Right. But also, it wasn't, it wasn't a horrible thing that she said. It was one of the most unnecessary things that she said. Like, there was, there was no reason for it. And, like, she clearly didn't know how to break the ice. So, like, that was her way instead of just being like, hi, how are you here? I got you something. Like, she had to get her two cents in, like, had to. It's the same.
Starting point is 00:13:44 She got her the same gift as everyone else. There was no reason it needed to be a shady moment. And then it just kind of, it just kind of didn't set the vibe super great. Dolores goes, you're good. You got it out of your system. Okay. This episode is brought to you by Prime.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Obsession is in session. And this summer, Prime Originals have everything you want. Steamy romances, irresistible love stories, and the book to screen favorites you've already read twice. Off campus, L, every year after, the love hypothesis, Sterling Point, and more.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Slow burns, second chances, chemistry you can feel through the screen. Your next obsession is waiting. Watch only on Prime. So to rewind just a little bit, we get a great scene in the cars down to the shore. We have Frank and Dolores giving major married couple road trip energy,
Starting point is 00:14:42 and then they have... They have... Teresa and Jen. Teresa and Jen. the backseat. And this is where Jen throws out there that Bill told her that Joe B said that he heard the rumor at Guy's Night. And of course, Jen, okay, I'm really enjoying Jen this season. I feel like she is kind of settled into the group a little bit. She doesn't seem like she's trying so hard 24-7 to kind of be the center of attention. But this was definitely a moment where
Starting point is 00:15:16 she kind of fell back into the like, I'm going to kind of do Teresa's dirty work thing because it's like, I respect that she is, you know, creating a storyline on the show, but it's like she knew that she was being messy. And I feel like in the past couple episodes, it felt like she was on board with like, let's move on with this. Like, let's get Teresa and Jackie on the same page. And this was like two steps back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And Frank, again, Frank, who should be holding something. thing, a meatball in the main opening credits. He goes, what happens at guys night stays at guys night, which is so true. Like, like, exactly. Jen knew the camera was there. Jen knew she was opening a can of worms, whatever. But all of their reactions were like, what, what? Like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:16:05 But then we got to talk about this dinner, okay? Because there's, yeah, we got to take a deep breath because. I need to, like, carbload for the dinner. Yeah. So we're all, it seems fine. It seems very nice. Everyone, Jackie and Teresa are not, are not, you know, they're sitting like a cross-diagonal from each other. It's fine, which I wish they showed that in the scene, like them seating because seating is always so awkward.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Like, okay, you sit there, you sit there. And like everyone doing everything for them not to be near each other. But Teresa, who is the queen of not acknowledging things that she does wrong, I understand why she did what she did. I think everyone, including myself at first, was looking at her, we're like bringing it up again. She said, well, you want to tell her what happened at boys at guys tonight. Tell her what happened. You want to tell? She was like trying to deflect and put it on Joe. Like she was like, I don't want it on me anymore. And I can't acknowledge it. I did anything wrong. So like it's now on Joe B to say it. And Joe B goes, no. Like he literally like, we all know he said it.
Starting point is 00:17:11 But here's the kicker. Okay. And I don't know if you know this is. You know how the past. weeks everyone was like Margaret had to have known. If Joe knew, Margaret knew, Margaret's reaction, she had zero idea about this rumor. She turned around and was in such shock. She was like, what? Because she clearly didn't hear anything. I don't know if you felt that way, but like, she seemed shocked. Because obviously, Teresa and Jackie have their whole thing. And we did see Joe B. say this at the guys night. But other than Bill, you know, Frank Katanya is adamant that he's not going to say anything. Joe B obviously doesn't want to say anything. Joe Gorga is like completely staying out of it, which I appreciate. But Margaret's reaction, she is like, it's one of those things where you hear something that and like you just can't, you like have to get to the bottom of it. Like you know you can't like move forward on anything. Like you can't think about anything else until you get to the bottom of this one thing. She's like, she's like, I need you to fucking tell me if you heard the rumor. And, you know, like at that, at that point, she's like, you know, she's not thinking about Teresa. She's mad at Teresa because she feels like she's trying to make his, her husband look bad, which yes and no. I don't think, I think Teresa is kind of one track mind where she's like, she's just thinking about herself. She's thinking about how she's kind of been painted as, you know, the villain with this rumor. And she's like, all she's thinking about is, well,
Starting point is 00:18:44 if somebody else heard it, they need to say it, whereas everyone else at the table is looking at the situation from like a bigger perspective. And they're like, we don't, we don't need to be talking about this anymore. Like, let's move on. And Teresa's just like not on board with that. Yeah, but I honestly couldn't believe that I really couldn't believe that she did bring it up again. Like I was like, why? Like, it's really she can't, she is like a childness and she can't let it go. she literally can't. And I feel like, and that's the part of Jackie's tweet where she like, this is her storyline.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Like, and then they even showed a clip of Teresa saying like, I can't wait to like not talk about this anymore. But like, no one's forcing you to talk about it. You're talking about it. But this dinner, what she would, Teresa was like exploding on everyone and they even called her out on that. They were like, you're gonna, they don't know who you're going to yell at next. Like you're yelling at everybody.
Starting point is 00:19:40 The guys want nothing to do with this. Again, bring in Frank Katania again. And Frank's like, I don't want to make this dinner go any more south than it already has. And I was like, I was like, oh my God. And then it's like Jackie purposely didn't want Evan coming that night because she knew. She made the right decision. Yeah. It's so crazy.
Starting point is 00:19:58 And we see then Melissa's kind of trying to reel Teresa in. And when Teresa just says, shut up, Melissa, I, a chill went down my spine. I was like, are we going back down that road? Like, I don't know if that's really going to become a thing, but like those two, like, I don't know. I don't know. But then we get to Teresa's talking about why she doesn't like Jackie. And she says that she likes confident women. And she thinks Jackie's just going to cry and blah, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:20:29 And when Jackie just throws out there right on the table, did you get that confidence in jail? I jaw on the floor. I mean. And she didn't even Jackie didn't even flinch She was like relaxed on the chair Like back saying it like a dig And of course yeah I went to jail
Starting point is 00:20:50 So yeah It's it's funny because whether or not you like Jackie I feel like she gets this reputation Kind of that she's like Meek or like kind of afraid to stand up for herself Or like you know Doesn't have that much presence within the group And I'm like
Starting point is 00:21:07 How would she say something like that with a straight face to Teresa if she was like afraid to assert herself within the group. I think I think that's like a misconception that Jackie is like quiet or kind of not, you know, like willing to really get in there because it's like, oh, she will. She doesn't necessarily choose to all the time. But like, yikes. Yeah, she's just like knows the, I guess, right time or place. Like she's like stayed quiet.
Starting point is 00:21:37 And then she's like, okay, how much longer am we going to stay quiet for? Like I'm not going to let this woman like berate me, you know, like at dinner in front of everybody. But yeah, these two, I do have to say, obviously listen to the episode with Jack. We've plugged it a few times now. She did say that after last night's episode, the season takes a turn. So. Yes, we'll see. Yes, we will see because so far we're just repeating the same situation. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:06 I was very surprised last night. I was like this dinner went very left, very quick. So I was like, wow, wow, wow. And of course, like, they turned it all. They cut it like right at the goods part when Teresa typically gets up and leaves the table and walks inside because why sit and have a full conversation with somebody. Okay, that was such an episode we had to discuss. Obviously, we have our interview with Jackie. So stick around.
Starting point is 00:22:32 We're going to talk about Dallas tomorrow because this was just a lot. But yeah, thank you guys for listening. and don't go anywhere. Plan B is a backup birth control option that's there for you when things don't go according to plan. It specifically works after unprotected sex and before pregnancy occurs
Starting point is 00:22:51 by temporarily delaying ovulation. Plan B is available nationwide at all major retailers and through delivery apps like DoorDash. No ID, prescription, or age requirement. It's the number one OBGYN recommended brand of emergency contraception and it won't impact your future fertility.
Starting point is 00:23:08 That's free. him the B. Use us directed. Hey everyone, we are now joined by a very special guest. This interview has been a long time coming, and we are so excited to now be joined by Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Jackie Goldschneider. Jackie, hello. Thank you for being here. Hi. I'm so excited to be here. We are so happy to have you on every week. Get Jackie. Get Jackie. Get Jackie. I know. It's been quite a busy season so far. How has this season felt? Compared to, you know, this is your third season on the show.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Obviously, it's different because we're in, you know, pandemic times right now. But just in general, how do you feel this year versus the last two years when you were on the show? It's definitely different. I feel, well, on the one hand, I feel much more settled into being a member of the cast on the show. I'm not the new girl anymore. Although technically, we still are the new girls because there's been nobody new. So I do feel very, very comfortable now. But on the other hand, this season has been a lot more, you know, vicious, I think, so far than my first two seasons were more like petty drama.
Starting point is 00:24:21 I mean, I could argue about cheap birthday parties all day. But this is more, you know, serious and a lot heavier. Yeah. But so going off that after an explosive start to the season, how did you go about mentally resetting to come back to film? Yeah, well, I mean, I did have to, you know, it looks longer on your screens, but it really was only like a week from the time I step back to the time I came back. And I think Evan and I realized that, you know, it really was silly and we don't want to give it life. And if we leave, you know, she gets to run with it and we don't want that happening. You know, like we both have reputations and we don't want someone else telling our story for us.
Starting point is 00:25:06 So why should we let her just like spread a rumor and then run with it? Like, of course we're going to come back. But we needed a minute to like make sure that, you know, these were our people and like we wanted to be there. Right. I'm curious you mentioned how this is the third season in a row that you've had no casting changes on New Jersey, aside from Danielle Stowe taking a step back.
Starting point is 00:25:28 What do you think about your cast is kind of so solid that makes it that you really haven't needed any additions? because I don't think anyone is watching this show and thinking, ah, damn, can we get some new life up in here? Like, it feels fresh, even though there haven't been any changes. I think part of it is that all six cast members have very busy, active lives where things are really happening. So we don't have to manufacture.
Starting point is 00:25:52 I mean, she manufactured a rumor, but in general, we have enough going on that there's enough content to constantly film. And I think that there's general, like, strife between certain members. of our group. So there's always going to be some kind of drama in the mix. That being said, I think that some new blood would do us good. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I feel like I could watch an hour just of whatever is going on with Dolores' personal life. So there's no shortage of stuff to watch. Yeah, I know. Every time people always ask us what to watch next. And I'm always like, New Jersey. I don't know if it has to do with that I'm from the area or that it's,
Starting point is 00:26:35 But I agree with what you said that it's almost more organic to watch. Like everyone has a real relationship with each other. But I agree. I would be not opposed to another new cast member. Yeah, no, me neither. Somebody who could actually, you know, stand up to Teresa too. Because, you know, the rest of the cast, they really... Get me on the show.
Starting point is 00:26:57 What? Get me on the show. Oh, yeah? I'll recruit you. Are you in Jersey now? No, they wouldn't let. me. I'm in New York. Okay, well, in the future, in the future. Yes, yes. I'm curious, so going back and watching the Lake George trip and like the pool party that we saw in last
Starting point is 00:27:17 week's episode, do you feel like it was, do you still feel good about the decision to take that step back like you were mentioning with Evan to just kind of get your ducks in a row? Or did you watch those episodes and be like, man, I wish I was on that trip? Oh, no, no. I don't wish I was on the trip. I've said this before. I love this show, but I do have a real life that I also love. And I needed to make sure that the show was adding to my life and that I really wanted to be there. And I don't feel bad about taking a step back to do that. I mean, people were like, oh, she should have gone. It would have been great fighting. But I mean, to me, my integrity was worth more than the off chance that Bravo was going to say, okay, take a hike if you don't go on the trip.
Starting point is 00:28:01 So to me, to go on vacation with a woman who had just dragged my husband and who had just called me like the most vicious name in the world 30 times the day before, that just wasn't happening. I wasn't going on vacation with that person. I wouldn't do it for a reality show. I wouldn't do it in my real life. Yeah. I think you did it in a really good way that you decided you did it for yourself. And it did it. The show didn't matter at that very moment.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Yeah. All that matter was my family at that moment. Right. Right. But so in this week's episode, we see you back with the full group for the first time. So what made you decide it was time to finally, well, I should say move forward with Teresa, but we don't know. Right. How did it go? So when I have that do-over party, people have mixed opinions on that. Really, let me just say this first. What I wanted out of that do-over party, in real life, I can't do, I can't be on this show if my husband is opposed to me being on the show. because Jersey is a very family show. And before this incident, he loved, he loved the show. And I needed to get him back to a good place.
Starting point is 00:29:11 So I know it looks a little silly. The way they edited it too is like me going around telling people to tell Evan that, but all I really wanted was for him to hear from him. I wanted to make sure that his friends let him know that like, no one believes this. It's such nonsense. I think it came out and was a little miscommunicated in the edit. But whatever it is, it got him back to a good place,
Starting point is 00:29:31 got me back to a good place. And then we decided we're done. We're done with this rumor. If she wants to keep it going, like, you do you, Teresa. Like, we are done with it and I was moving on. And I'm okay with being in the room with somebody and just being like cordial and not having a vicious fight.
Starting point is 00:29:50 So that was my mindset going into the trip. I'm not going to let one person ruin, you know, the rest of my season. I'm sure she could be in a room with me and be cordial, that was my mindset going in. I feel like the group actually, aside from kind of that specific dynamic with you and Teresa, it seems like everyone in the group is in a pretty good spot. Like Jennifer seems to be kind of less reactive than she's been in some other seasons.
Starting point is 00:30:18 I feel like, you know, Melissa and Jennifer have kind of fixed their stuff to a degree. It's fun watching everyone kind of be able to coexist and just have a good time. It's like summer when you guys are filming, which is a fun. you know, vibe that we don't usually get from Jersey. So it's nice to see everyone kind of just letting loose a little and not having so much tension between different people in the group. And I agree. And I wish that I was a part of that.
Starting point is 00:30:43 But unfortunately, I felt like all the group tension was just on me and Teresa. It was just there in the middle. And what I didn't know about Lake George and about her party was that she was going on so hard about me. I mean, when I was living my life here and doing my thing, I wasn't really thinking about her much or talking about her much. I really did just let it go. She was just going after me. I mean, she just had a vengeance against me.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Yeah. There's really like not even much to say about it. Like it's very obvious to the viewers. But, you know, it's funny. I wanted to point out something you said earlier where you, it was only a week's time when you weren't on the trip. But when we were watching the show, kind of thought that too because we were like, okay, how many more scenes are they going to show
Starting point is 00:31:34 Jackie like playing basketball with her kids? Like it can't be that long. It has to. No, it wasn't. It was a few days. It really was. We had salon mommy and the driveway. It was from a Wednesday, it was like from a Wednesday to a Tuesday, literally. Yeah. We kind of have it figured out. We're always like enter production. Yeah, no, a Wednesday to a Tuesday. I love seeing some of those scenes, just you at home with your kids. We see your brother on the show. We've seen your parents on the show. How has your family kind of adapted
Starting point is 00:32:07 in the three years you've been on? Do they all enjoy being on the show? Like, do you have, is it kind of like there are good days and less good days in terms of filming? No, my family loves being on the show. Evans back. He, again, loves the show.
Starting point is 00:32:23 My parents love the show. So when we film in my house, I always give my kids the option of whether they want to film or not. And my big boys, they are turning 13 in two weeks. We're having a bar mitzvah. Oh, my God. Bar mitzvah season.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Yeah, it's exciting. And sometimes they'll be like, you know, like we don't want to. But my Hudson and Alexis, they are like, they are like front and center for every scene. Even if we're like, we don't need you in the scene today. They'll come running in the room and be like, we're here with jazz hands. Like, they get very excited. They love filming. And my mom and dad love filming too.
Starting point is 00:33:01 Hudson and Alexis are so cute. I can relate to that. I feel like when I was a kid, it's like my mom would have her book club over and I'm like coming down to the kitchen to like get a snack. I'm like, hello everyone. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Oh, please. I was putting on piano recitals anytime like anyone worked in my house. It would be like we have a service repair. Let me show you how I play for release. It was crazy. See, I was like the opposite where like my dad would have the men over to play cards. and I would go down and they'd be like, no, you like literally don't belong here. Like, you need to go upstairs.
Starting point is 00:33:32 It was like nighttime. But Alexis is so cute. Even in your Instagram story, she's always just like standing there posing. Like she's such a typical, like, little girl. Yeah. My kids, she loves, she loves being on camera. She loves taking pictures. She loves dressing up, everything.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Yeah. You know, that was interesting that I didn't know your brother was on that cruise ship. That was stuck. Oh, yeah. There were a few that were stuck. And it was awful. So I remember he left March first, and we were all like, there's this like talk of that disease. You're sure he should go?
Starting point is 00:34:03 And then he was stuck. Yeah. And how long was he stuck for? He was on the cruise. He got off the first week of April. So he was on over a month. I don't know if I can ever go on a cruise. Oh, I don't like sailing anyway.
Starting point is 00:34:18 I get a little bit seasick, but I'm not a cruise person. There's too much food. I would have an anxiety attack. Okay. So are you thinking about this reunion at all and anything specific that you're nervous about or excited to revisit? Yes. I'm thinking about the reunion every day because I'm looking at my jewelry and I'm looking at my outfits and thinking about hair styles. And I am, you know, the only thing that I'm nervous about is I feel like I do want it. to be, obviously we're going to address the issues, but I wanted to be done in a respectable way.
Starting point is 00:35:01 And I don't want my family dragged anymore. And I don't, I just think that's very below the belt. And so I am hoping that, you know, I know that I'm going to get into it with Teresa, but I'm hoping that she keeps it above board and does not try to drag my husband down anymore and does not, you know, isn't like super vicious because I just don't feel like that's necessary for reality show. You know, like we could keep it above board and still have plenty of drama. Yeah, I feel like there's a fine line when it comes to reunions and stuff like that where it's like, we want it to be, you know, like fun and shady, but we don't need to be like sinking down to this level where everything is like these deep punches and like, you know, cutting, you know, down to the bone. It gets a little too intense sometimes, I feel. Yeah, I mean, so that's what I'm hoping.
Starting point is 00:35:50 That's what I'm nervous for because I don't want to like, I have to defend. myself, but I don't want to be vicious in return, you know, and I won't be vicious in return. But it's just, you know, there's also a double standard. Like, clearly, she could say whatever she wants. I can't even mention, you know, the name of anyone in her family or I get attacked, you know, so there's a very big double standard. There's a lot of hypocrisy. So I'm just really hoping that it's not taken to that level. Right. And also the fact, like you said, we don't need to rehash it. We kind of just need to acknowledge what happened and move on. as opposed to like starting over again,
Starting point is 00:36:26 which we've seen in the past happen. We'll see. We're excited to see. Yeah. I don't know if excited's the right word, but. One other thing I wanted to bring up, you are a very accomplished woman in your career, and you recently shared that you're writing a book.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Is there anything you can share with us? I know we've seen some of your fellow housewives write their own books. Have you talked to any of them about the writing process? Just anything you can share. Well, I think I'm going to have a very different writing process than my fellow housewives and it's no shade on them. That's not what they do for a living. But this was my career. So I'm writing my own book. There's no ghost writers involved, no co-writers. So it's probably a very different process for me. Personally, I don't think anybody, I wouldn't want anybody else
Starting point is 00:37:11 putting into words my life experience. And the book is sort of memoir-ish with other stuff in it. But no, I haven't really spoken to anybody because I'm just, I've always wanted to write a book and I'm so excited about the process that I think it's going to be very unique. And I'm just, I'm excited to like move forward on it because, you know, each, each step takes a long time. I do not know that,
Starting point is 00:37:36 but I can imagine. Okay, we want to play a fun little game with you. Before we finish up, we play it with all of our Bravo Lab guests. And it's called, who would you choose? And it's a series of questions.
Starting point is 00:37:51 And for each one, you're going to say who in the New Jersey cast. you would choose for that answer. And it's not super dark and shady. It's just, it's just fun. All right, good, good, good. Okay, so the first question, who in your cast would you take motherhood advice from?
Starting point is 00:38:07 Melissa, I think she is such a devoted mom, and her kids are always happy, and that's a big testament to parenting. Whose closet would you read? I would probably read Jennifer's, because she has, not for her clothing, but she has fabulous accessories. You could take like 12 bags from her closet and she would never know.
Starting point is 00:38:30 No, I know. But I have super big feet, so I don't think I can fit into anybody's shoes. Okay, okay. Well, lots of accessories at Casa Aden. So, okay, who would you want to plan your next vacation? And they don't have to be on the trip. They just are booking the reservations. Margaret.
Starting point is 00:38:50 She always thinks of fun stuff. She always has like all her eyes dotted and teas crossed. And you know I don't, you know. So I would want her to handle everything. I know that every dinner reservation would be made, every event would be planned. Yeah. I actually was just wondering where she was currently right now until she posted. She was in Puerto Rico.
Starting point is 00:39:11 I was like, it looks gorgeous. Who would you want to cook you dinner? I would say Teresa, but I'd be afraid that she would throw a little stuff next grade. So maybe not. Um, uh, yeah, definitely not me. Um, my version of cooking dinner is picking up Taco Bell. So I think, um, either Teresa or Melissa, they're both great cooks. Okay. Who would you take relationship advice from? I might be talking to myself in the mirror on that one. Yeah, we love what people choose themselves. Yeah. Who would you let decorate your house? Melissa, she's a great. decorator. Wait till you see her beach house and she did it all herself. It's gorgeous. Okay. Really? And last, which housewife from another city would you want to join the New Jersey
Starting point is 00:40:01 cast? Let's see. I need someone feisty. Maybe like Erica Jane. I need someone really, really feisty so that I'm not the center of all the madness anymore. Okay. I can see that. Like I could see Erica just sitting there with no reaction at all, but like putting whoever in their place that needs to be. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I would hope so. I hope they don't team up, but, you know, then I'd be in trouble. Well, you did a great job answering these questions. We are loving the season of Jersey so far. Is there anything you want to just kind of tell us that we can expect or what you're looking forward to us seeing for the rest of the season? Because I know it still feels like we're just getting started. Yeah, well, tonight is the first time Teresa and I come face to face. So that's going to be very interesting. It did not go as I thought it would.
Starting point is 00:40:59 But the season does take a turn after that. I will just say. And at least for me, it was a lot more fun. The second half of the season was a lot more fun. I mean, I'm still really vocal, still really a part of everything, but it was not vicious the rest of the season. It was more fun. We love fun, Jackie.
Starting point is 00:41:19 So, yeah, I feel a lot to look forward to it. It's such a great season. It's such a great season. I will say the most traumatic, the most traumatic thing that happened to me this season was in the episode where I went to sit down with Margaret. And when I watched that scene back, Evan said, how was that scene? How was the episode? And I said, Evan, it was really humid out. We never, we never film in the summer.
Starting point is 00:41:43 My hair was curly. My extensions were straight. No. And I was traumatized. Oh, my God. It was the worst hair ever. I called my hair guy and I'm like, it's just, I don't even know what to do with myself. Remind me, I will never wear my hair down in humidity again, ever.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Yeah, that's something people on the East Coast definitely know about. Like, it's, it that's, you know what, though? We can't judge you. It's a pandemic. We can't judge anyone on their looks. It is what it is. I mean, normal, you know, hair doesn't upset me. I mean, hair is what it is.
Starting point is 00:42:16 Normal people have bad hair days and good hair days. A hair doesn't upset me. But it was just like, I mean, I was looking at. at it and it was all that I could see were my bangs. It was terrible. But, you know, I survived that. Yeah. I survived that. I can survive anything. Of course. Totally. This was so fun, Jackie. This is great. Thank you guys so much. Thank you for being here. We will talk to you soon and best of luck with the reunion and the rest of the season. And we look forward to watching it all unfold. Thanks, guys. See you soon.
