Mention It All - KyManda Calls It Quits, Andy’s SLC Exit, & Ladies of London is Back With… A Man? (RHOSLC, RHOP, RHOBH)
Episode Date: January 23, 2026Dylan is back for this week’s Bravo recap, starting with a dramatic reading of Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s breakup statement. It’s not surprising, but is it still kind of shocking? From there..., he recounts his experience at Dorinda Medley’s (very early) DJ event, before launching into the interesting twist on the newly-announced Ladies of London reboot. For this week’s shows, he focuses on the RHOSLC reunion, where Meredith launches a big accusation at Britani, and Andy Cohen walks off the stage amid Lisa and Angie’s big argument. He also recaps RHOBH, where Amanda and Dorit’s feud is starting to bubble into something major, and RHOP, where Gizelle goes off on Angel over her failed Colorado trip plans. Hey everyone, welcome back to the Mentioner All podcast, and we have to start with some news up front.
After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple.
We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.
It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we've always tried to be open and honest about our relationship.
But your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.
Now, those aren't my words.
That's Amanda Batula and Kyle Cook via Instagram stories, as I'm sure you have all seen by now.
The Instagram story heard around the world.
The Kai Manda rumors have finally come true, and they're no longer together as a couple.
Now, I mean, I feel like this is the definition of, is it shocked but not surprised?
Or is it surprised but not shocked?
Like, we all kind of knew it was.
coming, but we didn't know when. We didn't know where. We didn't know how. And I got to say, like,
I am, I'm happy for them evolving their relationship into a next phase, whatever that looks like.
And I hope they both have nothing but happiness and warmth and DJing and swimsuit lines until the end of time.
But, like, what are you like, extra surprise? Like, we, we sort of knew this was coming. And I do feel like,
for the culmination of all of this to be
an Instagram story
like white background with black skinny text
it's like we could have done something a little more
like a breakup photo shoot maybe
I don't know like a live appearance
where they like break the news
like some like YouTuber couples when they break up
and they're like have to make a 45 minute video
with the thumbnail of them like looking distraught
I don't know it just feels like for all of this like decade
we've been watching I'm sure we're getting lots of content
about the Kaimanda dissolution on the upcoming season of Summerhouse and on the upcoming
spin-off in the city.
But, man, it's just like to get this news on MLK Day via an Instagram story, it's like,
I expected a little more grandiosity in the breakup announcement.
But no, I'm happy for them.
It sounds weird to say I'm happy for them because it's like a sad thing, I guess.
But, like, I'm ready.
I think we're all ready.
I'm sure Amanda's ready.
Girl, I hope you have the best time of your life.
I don't know.
I am really excited now to see this upcoming season of Summerhouse as if I wasn't already
excited.
But man, interesting times.
And it's going to be really interesting to see how it all unfolds.
And I'm sure we will be talking about it much more.
But anyway, we jumped right in.
Welcome back to the Mentioned All podcast.
We have a bunch of stuff to talk about today.
We have news about the Ladies of London reboot that's coming back in March.
We have a new season of Southern Hospitality that's been announced.
That's premiering the first week of March as well.
We got Potomac, Salt Lake City reunion, Beverly Hills, Southern Tram, lots to touch on.
So let's not waste any time.
Okay, I'll waste a couple minutes first because I do want to talk about this event that I went to earlier this week.
The Bravo Labs are DJing, you guys.
They're buying the DJ equipment.
They're opening up the laptop.
They're making the Spotify playlist and they are pressing play.
I had the great pleasure of going at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning to a.m.
on the Lower East Side where Elf Skin was partnering with Dorinda Medley,
sorry, DJ Durinda Medley to have us all wake the elf up.
I got to tell you, I get a lot of random invites to things Bravo related, not Bravo related.
I don't go to, like, there's a lot of stuff that I get and I'm like, oh, like, I don't need to go to this like beauty event or this, you know, liquor launch or whatever.
But when I get the invite that Durinda Medley is going to be DJing at 8 a.m.
It's not a, it's not like a want to go.
It's like a, well, I can't in good conscience not go to this.
I have to be boots on the ground, slippers on the ground.
Derinda was wearing fuzzy slippers at this event.
Mind you, Wednesday, anybody who lives on the East Coast, this has been like one of the
coldest weeks of the year.
I mean, we're like 21 days into the year, but it's cold.
It was like 11 degrees on Wednesday morning.
And so I get in my Uber at like 7.30, the crack of dawn, basically.
And I arrive at this coffee shop like 805, I want to say.
there. The music is already blasting. The like influencer girlies are milling around. I got to say,
this was not the typical, like, I have my like Bravo event kind of crew that I always see around at
these events. This was a different crowd. This was definitely the elf skin invite list, not the Bravo
invite list, which like, to each their own. But I just, I wasn't like, I was like, what am I doing
basically? But no, I got, I got a little coffee and had Dorinda yell at me to,
start dancing.
She was wearing like white silk pajamas and fuzzy slippers and her her hair was curled
and she had her bedazzled orange elf headphones that I got to say weren't plugged into
anything.
Okay, I don't feel bad exposing this because Dorinda literally said it on the mic at the event,
but she goes, she has the whole DJ setup.
Like the, you know, the turntables or whatever.
There's like buttons.
I don't know, technical terms.
But she goes, something with the DJ set up.
I can't mix.
So, but it's a great playlist.
So we're there for like 30 minutes.
And it's just music blasting at 8 a.m.
Everybody's like standing around drinking coffee.
It's like 12 degrees outside.
And we had a time.
And then I went to the office and worked the whole day.
And also on Wednesday.
Wednesday we had Dr. Heavenly come by the studio. So she's going to be on the podcast next week.
So that's a super fun episode. My first congressional candidate interview, who would have
thought? I hope I don't have to do that many more. But Dr. Heavenly is always a hoot. But yeah,
make sure you go subscribe to our YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash at Bravo by Betches, where you can now watch full
episodes, both Tuesdays and Fridays. We also have video on Spotify. You can listen wherever.
lots of ways to get your mention at all content. Where also are you getting the recap of Amanda and Kyle's
breakup news and the Derinda Elf Skin DJ event at 8 a.m. We mentioned it all here. We're getting
into all of it. Let's talk about Ladies of London. So we've known since last year that Ladies of London
was coming back to Bravo. It is a full new cast. There's nobody from the original iteration of
Ladies of London. But we haven't heard much since then. I heard through the grapevine.
toward the end of last year that they were finished shooting the show and it was going to be out
early this year and that the network was really excited about it. And so I've been intrigued to hear
more. And this trailer looks fun. It's, they're doing a really smart thing here. They are, it's technically,
I guess, still the fourth season of Ladies of London versus like a new show. But they're branding it
as Ladies of London, the New Rain. And so this is kind of,
what I thought they were going to do with Vanderpump Rules because they had some branding on like the trailers and stuff for Van der Pump Rules that was like,
Vanderpump Rules, it's a new shift. And I'm like, call it like Vanderpump Rules the new shift. I don't know if that would have worked. Look, the show has its own issues.
speaking of watch our episode with Venus from earlier this week um but but no they're the official
press release for this show is like ladies of London the new reign and i hope that they stick
with that because i think that's going to cut down on a little bit of the the audience confusion
and the the sort of complaints about how is this ladies of London where's Caroline where's
you know juliet's on real houseways of London uh you know whatever happened to
Julie with the balls and riding the bike and the yoga.
Like there's a lot of Ladies of London lore that is sort of like,
I would say it's like second or third tier Bravo knowledge,
but those are the fans that they need to really get on board with this.
And so they're calling it a new reign.
There's a whole new cast.
It's still a mix of British women and expats.
There's at least one American on the cast.
Like a main point of the trailers,
they're like,
I just think that she would make a lot more sense in Los Angeles.
Angeles, then she does in London. And it's like, L.A. isn't like bum fuck nowhere. Like,
obviously it's a different vibe, but they're acting like she crawled out of a hole in a trailer
park and showed up in like Belgravia or whatever. And it's like, okay, like there's like rich
people in L.A. too. Like, I, whatever. Marissa Hermann, hit me up. Um, no, but the really,
really interesting thing where I'm not going to, you know, dive into who everyone in this cast is,
but the thing we have to talk about, and I don't know how to feel.
The show is called Ladies of London, and there is a man on the cast.
Now, gender is a social construct.
Gender is fluid.
We can be whoever we want to identify as.
But that's a man.
This guy, his name is Mark Francis Vandelli, and the interesting thing, I am not fully equipped to break down
who this guy is, but he is from the show Made in Chelsea, which is like a staple reality show in the
UK. It's about like, you know, rich young people in London. And he was on this show for 23 seasons.
It premiered, I think, in like 2010 or 2011. They crank out a lot of seasons. But he was on it until
22. And so he's, he's done like 200 episodes of this show. So I'm really interested to gauge the
reaction from people who watched him on Maidenchelsea to figure out what is his kind of persona.
Does it make sense that he would be in a group like this?
And overall, just like, how do we feel about ladies and man of London?
Because there's, for a long time, you know, it was a thing of like, would there ever be a
male housewife?
And I think Andy is on the record of being like, no, why would we do that?
Once upon a time people would talk about like, oh, could like Dwight from Atlanta be a housewife?
Oh, could that one drag queen on Miami back in the day could he be a house?
It's like, no.
Angel Massey, she wouldn't be able to say the ladies 50 times an episode if there was a man.
So, you know, not to be like trad wife about this, but I just, I don't know.
We'll see it.
It's hard just because ladies is in the title of the show.
It's the Lannies of London.
I don't know.
Time will tell.
I'm excited to watch it.
I'm excited to talk about it.
I'm excited to see what everybody else thinks.
But there's a man on Ladies of London.
It's a new rain.
A new day is dawning in the words of Celine Dion.
So good.
So good.

Man, speaking of Angel, I'm not going to spend a lot of time on Potomac today because they're still in Colorado.
The trip's still bad.
But man, Angel is taking a fucking whipping from Giselle.
On that private jet to Aspen, when Angel is like, Lainees, the ladies, I want to
apologize for the accommodations.
And Giselle is just like, too late.
Uh-uh.
Angel, it's too damn late.
You should have checked on us.
You should have called us.
I couldn't wash my ass.
Giselle is like, in this case, I think not wrong in the content of what she's saying.
But her delivery is at 150.
and I feel like we could have settled for like a 6570 on the like the volume and intensity meter
because the thing is like Angel is she's not one of our strongest soldiers I would say in terms of
like how much she's going to bring it how you know shady she's going to be like she's not that
intense and so it just comes across like Giselle is bringing.
like a bazooka to an arm wrestling match.
And it's like, baby, you could have cleared her with like 50% of the, the energy.
And like, yes, this trip was a mess.
Yes, Angel should have figured it out better.
But like, man, it's just, it's always a tough look to be the one who's just like
screaming at someone.
And they're kind of like, I said I was sorry.
I said I was sorry.
I don't know.
I said I was sorry.
Like Angel doesn't know what to do with Giselle's energy.
And so it makes Giselle look kind of.
a little too heated.
Now, that being said, she does hook the ladies up, and they are going to be staying at the four seasons from now on.
Or for, like, one more night, they might go home early.
I don't know.
But, you know, a nice assist.
I think that, I think NBCU has a pretty friendly relationship with the four seasons.
So I think, Jazele being like, now you know, I like to stay at the four seasons.
Like, it's kind of like code for like, hey, the network stepped in and was like, we need to get you accommodations with running.
water, but I'm glad I'm glad they'll have, you know, beds to sleep in and water to bathe themselves
with. But the other thing I just want to touch on from Potomac this week, so they go to Kimosabi,
which, of course, we all know is the, you know, expensive hat store where they're like lighting
things on fire and they don't have Kathy Hilton's tequila and whatever. But all of the women,
they're there, they're shopping, they're hanging out. And then they literally are like going around
in a circle, telling everybody what items they bought and how much they
spent. So it's like, oh, I bought like a turquoise belt and that was $8,000. Woo! I bought a hat and it's
going to have my man's number on it and it was $1,000. Woo! Clap it up. I bought, you know, this
bracelet and it was $1,600. And then we got all the way around the circle and Stacy's like, well,
I'm not rich, so I didn't buy anything because I am trying to be responsible with my money.
And like, it's just awkward.
And also, Monique didn't buy anything.
To me, it's very strange to do this, like, going around the circle and saying what you spent.
I don't think it's weird to share, like, what you bought?
Like, I think that's, like, that's fun to be like, oh, my God, like, what did everyone get at the store?
I didn't, oh, I didn't see your bracelet.
Oh, that's so pretty.
Like, that's a normal behavior of, like, when you're on a group shopping trip.
like, oh, let's do our little hall for each other.
Taking out their receipt and being like, my grand total came to 3250.
It's like, what are we doing here?
It's like, it comes across as a little bit like show off, but also like pocket watchy
where it's like, I don't, I don't know.
And I actually really liked the way that Stacey handled it where she wasn't like
awkward or pretending that there was, oh, I didn't see anything I liked or oh, I, I, you know,
I have like so much stuff at home.
I don't know. I don't feel like spending my money here. It is interesting though, because I feel like
Stacy, obviously, it's only her second season on the show, but I don't really feel like I know anything
about her financial situation. And so hearing her kind of say that and then there's like the
flashback to where she like pockets the $20 at the racetrack, I am kind of like, say more about that.
Tell me more. How not rich are you? Because people have been saying, I don't, I don't know too much about her
husband's situation. Apparently he like works for Audi. Like maybe he's like an exact at Audi or
something. But people are saying that Timo has a lot of money. But Stacy, if she's smart, I mean,
I don't want to be like negative about her rekindling her marriage with Timo for Aurebella.
But, you know, if she's smart like this, she doesn't know how the future is going to go with
Timo. So she should be responsible with her own coins. And I don't know what QVC money is looking
like these days, but she's no longer on QVC.
I don't think QVC hosts are making like seven figures a year.
I'm sure she was doing well for herself, but I don't really know, like, what is Tacey's
job now?
I mean, like, we know being a housewife is like work, but like, what is she doing?
Oh, she has the weed line.
The way she says gummy brings so much of it.
I'm going to take a gummy.
Me too, girl.

Let's talk about the Salt Lake City Reunion.
Part two.
We get the great Andy.
Andy walk off the set early in the episode.
I don't know how I felt about this, because they put it in the trailer and it's like,
bum, bum, bum, Andy Cohen will walk off the set.
What will be the thing that sends him over the edge?
And it's like, the thing that sends him over the edge is the same thing that always sends him over the edge,
which is all the women yelling over each other and about some nonsense bullshit that we're not going to get a real answer on.
In this case, it's Angie bringing up that there was a troll account posting about her and the phone number.
that pings as being attached to the account is Lisa's phone number. And so Andy, like, looks at the receipts,
which are printed on a scroll, which I just like, Angie, my dear, too much. Enough. Enough with the scroll.
Andy, like, reads out the phone number, which, of course they bleep, which, you know, fair. And then
Lisa acknowledges that the number is her number, but she is just saying that it's not accurate,
Like the way that they're saying they're looking up the phone number that the account is attached to is not real or not, you know, proof of anything.
But like what, then what is it?
Like, I don't, it's one of those things where I feel like this happens a lot at reunions where there is like a direct accusation and the person who is accused denies it or says that it's made up or a lie or whatever.
but we're sort of left with just like, okay, moving on.
And in this case, like, the group gets really heated over it.
You know, they're all, they're all yelling, yelling over each other.
You know, Angie and Lisa are yelling back and forth at each other.
You're crazy.
Oh, you're crazy.
No, you're crazy.
And it's like, okay, you're both pushing it.
And Andy leaves the stage, hands up coming back there, like,
Andy, Andy, come out.
Come back. Come back. Come back. It's like, they don't know what to do with themselves. But at the end of the day, it's like, we're not getting any resolution. And that's kind of, I mean, a lot of this reunion episode is talking about the stuff that happened on the plane. And that's another situation where because there's no footage of this, because Meredith isn't ever going to change her tune, I don't want to say isn't ever going to admit anything because we actually don't know what happened. And so,
I don't know if there is something to admit, but if there is, she's not going to do it.
And if there's not, she's not going to, she's not going to lie and say she did, you know, pull Britney's hair.
The fundamental thing is just like, if we aren't able to ever come to an understanding on something and move forward,
it is a little frustrating to watch where it just feels like we're sort of yelling in circles.
And then moving on because we have to move on and we can't keep just, just,
beating the same dead horse, but it's like the best reunions, I think, are when there is some amount
of somebody's apologizing, somebody is, you know, admitting that they did something wrong,
somebody is sharing proof of something that happened that we haven't seen before, so then we can
like actually move forward. And it does feel like right now with Salt Lake, specifically with like
the Meredith and Lisa stuff, it's like those two women are just not going to, you know,
to give us that moment, that closure, that admission, that apology, whatever the other women
are looking for from them, they're not getting. And so it does kind of just feel like, at a certain
point, we got to, we got to move on. There's, there's a, you know, we're bringing up more,
more past things and code and allegations. And Heather's bringing up this rolling thunder thing,
which is about a guy that Meredith, I guess, was dating when she and Seth were separated.
That we're never going to get clarity on.
Like, it just, it does feel like with Meredith in particular, there's like a lot of, there's
like a stack of things that we're just not getting real answers on.
And so, yeah, I don't know.
I mean, Meredith's best moment on this reunion was probably when they come back from lunch
and they're like getting ready to start rolling and they're looking at the table and
Meredith's just like, is the cheese real?
And they're like, yeah, I think all the food's real.
Okay.
Okay, okay.
Wake up.
Wake up.
Everybody just like dissociating, coming back from lunch, is so relatable, because I do feel
like that is sometimes like the energy in the office when it's like, okay, I ate lunch
and it's, okay, it's 2 p.m. how much?
Oh.
Okay, great.
Another meeting.
It always is interesting at lunch, though, when they film them, you know, in their little
separate rooms and they're talking about.
And so, like, the topics are sort of Heather and Whitney talking about Meredith, not coming to Lisa's defense on anything and overall saying how quiet Meredith has been during the day, which I sort of get, but like also whatever.
Bronwyn and Angie are talking about how Lisa is mean and combative and trying to flip things back around on them, tail as old as time.
And Lisa and Meredith, I thought this was the most interesting one, is they're talking about how they have to have each other's back when the plane stuff comes up.
And they're like, we're going to have to talk about it.
And it's so important that we have each other's backs.
And Meredith's like, my thing is just like, why are they so obsessed with us?
It's just like, as much as I complain about Meredith, she cracks my shit up.
Is the cheese real?
Is it?
We'll never know.
We got updates on Robert Jr.
who is currently in jail for violating the restraining order from his ex-wife.
I mean, it's tough.
I'm glad to hear an update.
It's not a fun thing to watch because Mary's talking about how she thinks right now it's
best for him to be somewhere where she knows he's safe.
He's not using.
She hasn't gone to see him because she doesn't.
She says it wouldn't like look right for her to be at jail.
I don't whatever to each there on it.
I don't need to like micromanage her decisions in the.
this case, but Andy also brings up the documentary that came out about her. I think it came out.
Haven't heard a peep. Did anybody watch it? Haven't heard much. I think, I think Mary is going to be
okay. And it is really interesting to watch how all the women have sort of like moved on from the
idea that there's anything nefarious happening with her church. Even Lisa. You know, Lisa and
and Mary sort of get into it because Mary is like, oh yeah, you and Meredith are good friends now.
but what about when Lisa called Meredith a whore
and said she fucked half of New York?
And Lisa's like, I am so
motherfucking sick of hearing the same
goddamn things.
This is what I love about Salt Lake
because it's like, there's a whole other thing going on
and Mary's just like, please don't use God's name like that.
And Lisa's like, normally I wouldn't,
but I'm really upset about this.
It's like, I love that we can get on the same page
about how we're taking the Lord's name in vain
in the middle of our fight.
But Lisa is basically saying,
that Mary doesn't move on from grudges and that, you know, she and Meredith were able to move on
because they, you know, they worked a lot on it and that Mary's calling out when Lisa brought
that guy Cameron on the show who was trying to stir stuff up about the church and dragging
stuff about Bronwyn all the time. And this is when Lisa has sort of, she's like powered down a
little bit. Like she has been taken a lot of the blows. And I think that she has reached a point where
she's just kind of like my best strategy is to expend as little energy as possible.
So she's sort of in like sleep mode where she's like sitting up still as a statue.
She's like, okay.
No.
No.
No.
Okay.
Well.
What?
No.
Okay.
Enough.
Mary.
No.
Uh-uh.
Meredith.
Like we're sort of getting like, we're getting like one word prompts out of her.
and that's sort of all we're going to get.
So, like, perhaps we should move on.
I do, like, Andy kind of calls out, though, when, when Meredith and Lisa are asking why people
can't move on from Meredith's, like, Hot Mike moment, or Lisa's Hot Mike moment, which is, like,
she's, like, she's fucked half of New York.
And he's, like, this is how we've watched the show.
Like, all of these moments that we've seen on the show that are these major dramatic
things, like, we can't not think about that when we see something that sort of contradicts
it in the future.
And I like having that voiced from Andy because I do think that that's part of something that's interesting about sort of the disconnect sometimes between the people on these shows and the audience reaction is like they have their own set of motives or, you know, reasons for forgiving someone or aligning with someone or having an issue with someone.
And those things aren't always clear just from what we're seeing on the show.
And I think in the case of Meredith and Lisa, it's like, as I've mentioned, neither of them are that good at owning something they've done or apologizing or understanding someone else's perspective on something that they've done.
And so I think that it's important to actually like spend a little time on that of like, okay, sorry.
So can we go back and just like explain after that hot mic moment and when you two had a horrible relationship for a while?
what was the actual process of moving past that beyond just saying like, well, I don't hold grudges and Mary does.
Because like you do hold grudges.
You just chose not to keep holding one on Meredith.
And there's a, that's a difference.
And I think that's a good thing to unpack.
And then we get into stuff with Brittany.
You know, Brittany denying that she said Meredith had seizures, roll footage, she said it.
but she says that it triggers her because her daughter used to have seizures.
And so to see Meredith behaving like that is triggering.
Like, girl, this whole explanation is not hitting.
Perhaps we should just move on.
Brittany saying that she has proof Seth cheated on Meredith and that she heard it from Jared
that Seth told him that he has two girlfriends where he works.
But yeah, I mean, the whole plain stuff, it's like Andy asked them why no one recorded.
We kind of already know.
you know, Meredith is like, if it was so bad, why didn't know one check on Britney or I during the flight?
And it's just like, I don't know.
It's like, would I like to know what happened on the plane?
Yes, we're never getting it.
We can move on.
But the episode ends in a really strange place because Meredith brings up that her real issue with Britney,
more than the TikTok, more than stirring things up about her marriage,
relates back to this incident surrounding.
a nail tech who was exposed for making anti-Semitic comments and that after this had been exposed,
this nail tech was getting bombarded with negative reviews on Google, and Brittany posted a positive
review on Google. And so Meredith is saying that Brittany was supporting the anti-Semitic behavior and
therefore is anti-Semitic herself and that this has been bothering her and bothering her.
And now she feels that Brittany's negative treatment of her is at least in part due to her being Jewish.
It's a lot to unpack.
I don't want to say Meredith is automatically wrong because this is a serious situation.
It's something to, it's not something to take lightly.
And I think, you know, appropriately, Brittany does not take this accusation lightly.
And it seems like to really take her by surprise in this moment.
And she sort of shares her side of the story, which is basically like, I didn't know about this controversy that was happening.
I got approached by the nail tech, got a free manicure in exchange for a Google review.
and when I found out that this was the other side of the situation,
I felt bad about it.
I took down the review.
I didn't, like, there was no intent to, like, support this person in relation to the
anti-Zemitism stuff that was going on.
This is one of those things where, again, like, they're obviously going to disagree on this,
and there's no, I don't think there's, like, a correct answer to arrive at.
but coming from Meredith's side,
it's a big accusation to make.
And it's sort of a line in the sand that she's drawing
where she's like basically saying that
Britney isn't like a safe person for her to be around,
not just because she's going to, you know,
talk about her marriage or whatever,
but because she literally is saying she's a bigot
and is, you know,
has these hateful thoughts toward Meredith's identity as a Jewish woman.
And it's like, this is now,
going in a different direction.
And I just don't know.
I don't know where we're going to land.
I mean, I want to think the best of Brittany.
I don't know.
It's like a weird thing to have just like dropped in your lap at the end of the episode.
I don't know if we're going to get any more sort of like clarity or unpacking of this on part three.
I mean, the big thing on part three that we need to get to is Bronman telling us that she and Todd are separated.
But beyond that, weird vibes to say the least.
Um, speaking of weird vibes, this party on Beverly Hills at Rachel Zoe's house who doesn't have power,
or maybe she got the power back. I don't know, everybody's struggling with electricity.
Sutton's like curling her hair in the dark. I don't know. Um, Beverly Hills is, you know,
we're back from Sedona. There's some, some issues to unpack. And I do feel like I'm settling
into a place with this season where it's like, is it, is it excellent? Perhaps not.
is it compelling and like are there threads that I am interested in watching unfold episode to
episode? Yeah, I'm not having a bad time. I think that Amanda is delivering as a newbie in the
way that she is like so such a weird vibe and making everybody and making everybody else feel so
uncomfortable that I'm kind of like, what's going on here? I need more. And I'm, I'm, like,
fascinated. I don't like her, but I'm fascinated by her. I think Rachel is doing a great job.
And we're getting into a couple really important things here, which is in Sedona, we had
the Jennifer Tilly sort of talking about Sutton in a way that we haven't heard her talk about
before and telling Kyle that this is why she thinks Garcell left the group. And so Kyle does her
her duty as a 15-season housewife and takes Sutton out and tells her exactly what Jennifer Tilly
said. Thank you, Kyle. Thank you for your service. And then we also have Doreet being told
that Amanda has brought up how she's talking about her separation and her split from PKK and, you know,
concern that she's talking about it too much or sharing too much or being too negative and it's going to
affect her, you know, her situation. And so we have these two kind of like games of telephone
that are sort of coming, starting to come to a head at the same time. And this is, it's, it's good
housewives. It's good housewives. And it feels great to have that from Beverly Hills. It's a different
sort of frequency than I think we, you know, see from our other shows. But it's, it's fun. And
so we get to Rachel's party. And this is also a not one of my, probably my favorite scene of the
episode. When Rachel Zoe and Bose are shopping together and they're talking about Amanda's
business situation, you guys all know, I'm loving any little, like, shady tidbit that we get about
Amanda's, you know, manifesting empire. And Rachel's response to hearing that Amanda refers to herself
as the money queen, it's just like, she's like, wait, sorry, the money queen? What the fuck is that?
And Bose is like, you know, that? She goes to self the money queen.
She's like, sorry, the money queen?
Rachel being like, no, I would never take financial.
Like, this is Rachel's whole.
Rachel and Bose being sort of like the number one and number two doubters of Amanda's
whole thing is really landing for me.
And I'm enjoying that thread of this season so much.
And I'm curious to see if that kind of like becomes something more.
But for now, we've got to deal with these other two issues.
Also, so we get to Rachel's house. And Amanda has told us that this is the anniversary of when her child passed away three years ago. And I think three years ago. It's obviously a very sensitive day for her. We see her talking about it with her partner. But she's choosing to go to the party. She says that she wants to be with friends. Great. Do what you got to do. She starts off the party by immediately when Derreet announces that she has signed a book deal. You know, some of the
the women ask if she has a co-author. She says, yes, she's found this mother-daughter. It's great.
And Amanda's like, like a ghostwriter. And they're like, yeah, like somebody like, yeah, that you work
with on the book. She's like, I just sat down and started typing. Like, I just like, wrote my book.
He's like, I would never record to me. Like, like, co-author. And this is where Amanda is just like,
she doesn't, she doesn't get it. She has no, she cannot read the room.
because she's looking at a room full of women who all either have written a book or could conceivably write a book.
And every last one of them, I bet, would be using a co-author.
And that's not something to them, to this group.
Now, we could go back in the archive and talk about Carol Radswell and Aviva Drescher and ghost writers and all of that.
It's a different scene.
Carol was a writer girl.
Doreet is a woman and a housewife and a, a, a,
mother and a child of the world who wants to get her story out in the world and also wants to make
some cash because she's not getting it from PK anymore. And so, yeah, she's going to have a
co-author. Erica had a co-author. And Rachel Zoe is like, I'm a two-time bestselling author.
Like Amanda's lack of, and she brings it up again. She's like, it never went to. I just write the book.
And Doreet's like, well, you must have had a lot of time on your hands.
Like that's the thing with Amanda is like reading someone for having a ghostwriter only lands when you're in a room full of people who also think it's shady to have a ghostwriter.
Erica doesn't give a fuck.
She's like, who's the ghost writer?
I'll send you my contact.
Like that's the vibe of this group.
And Amanda is not good at sussing out the vibe clearly.
We get, Sutton pulls aside Jennifer and sort of confronts her over what Kyle told her about what she said in Sedona.
I wasn't thrilled with this conversation because Jennifer does something that I don't love.
But she's like, yeah, I never said that.
I don't know.
That's not what I said.
And it's like, okay, well, that's boring.
Like, oh, fucking own it, Jennifer Tilly.
If you're going to show up to the table and get involved in some mess, bring the mess.
Own it, baby.
Lisa Rina's back.
We got to own it.
Get on the table and fucking dance for Andy and own your shit.
And I want there to be this like, I want to be, I want there to be an arc for Sutton and
Jennifer.
And we need some admission.
Jennifer needs to own it.
She needs to say, yeah, I do.
This is how I see you sometimes.
And I think that did play into Garcel.
And I said it to Kyle and maybe I should have said it directly to you.
Like, we need that conversation.
And I'm hopeful it could be coming, but not just yet.
But then they're at the table.
And Derreet brings up what she's heard.
about Amanda talking shit about her, you know, divorce conversations.
And this has been dangling for a couple episodes.
And this is when Amanda chooses to share with the group that this is the anniversary of her child's death.
She says, I'm hanging on by a thread.
This is the anniversary.
And first of all, I, I, Kathy Hilton, God lover.
Amanda just says like the name of her child who passed.
And Kathy goes, a dog?
she goes to know my my my twins brother and like i mean kathy like appropriately shifts her
reaction she's like oh my god in that moment i mean honestly like it was a heavy moment that's
kind of exactly what we need it is just kathy helped me oh dog a child she's like oh i mean that
that's like such a human moment kathy sometimes is a little a little like a bit messy but it's
Like, that was just...
But so Amanda basically is like, I don't want to have this conversation right now.
Doreet pushes it a little.
She's like, well, no, I think, but you weren't.
And it's like, Dup, B, B, B, Doree, Doree, Doree, Doree.
You're right.
You're right in this situation.
Just like, do it tomorrow.
Do it in a week.
So Amanda gets frustrated.
She leaves the table and then D'Ree is convinced that she needs to go, apologize and, you know, make things right
because it wasn't the moment.
So she goes and hugs her.
She's like touching her face.
And Amanda's like,
Don't touch me right now.
Doreet's like, well, I was just trying.
And she's like, well, I think, I don't think that that was here.
And she's like, okay, Amanda, you've removed yourself from the table.
You said you didn't want to have the conversation.
So Doreet's trying, maybe a little clumsy.
Doreet's going to be Doreet.
Just go.
Just go.
Weird vibes.
I do think it's a little, it's a little like, some of the other women are like,
well, why didn't we know that it was the anniversary of her child's death?
And it's like, I mean, she doesn't need to like, like, it's a, I don't think that you should walk into Rachel's house and be like, hey, Rachel, here's your hostess gift.
By the way, just so everyone's on the same page, this is the.
It's like, that would be weird too, because everybody would be feeling weird.
Like, I think that Amanda was not planning to bring this up.
I think it was a natural human response of her in this moment.
We're like, look, I cannot do this right now.
But just like not handled super well.
Oh, man. What a time. I think that's going to do it for today. Thanks everyone for watching. We will be back next week. Dr. Heavenly on Tuesday. More recap content on Friday.
