Girl, winter is so last season.
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes.
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs.
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.

Mention It All
A Bravo by Betches podcast
We don't say that but now we said it
With Dylan Hafer
Who go and check me boo
And Barry Rosenfeld
I need to start drinking alcohol
Now go to sleep week
Hello everybody
And welcome back to another episode
of the Mention at All podcast
I'm Dylan Hafer
And I'm Barry Rosenfeld
Hello
And we are just having a week here
with the Roves.
Here we go.
I'm on my second cup of coffee.
Oh, I am also drinking coffee.
I've started making my own iced coffee,
which I never thought I would get to this point in my life,
but maybe this means I'm an adult.
No, it totally does.
I went to go, after my first cup,
I went to go make ice coffee.
I made an entire thing of coffee,
and then I go,
the ice machine's broken, isn't it?
So I have another eight cups of hot.
coffee that I just wanted an iced coffee and oh well oh wow that's brutal how are you doing
dylan other than the coffee you know i'm i'm doing well i so last night we had real house stories
of beverly hills and then i needed to just like take a break for a second so i did not watch
summer house in the reunion last night but then woke up at like seven a m today and was like i'll watch
it. So, started my day with Lindsay and Paige screaming at each other. I know that is how it started off. I was like,
oh, God. So I still have to make it through the reunion. We're going to talk about that on tomorrow's
episode because there's just simply too much to get to. But today we have Vanderpump Rules to talk
about Beverly Hills. And at the end of the episode, stick around because we have an interview with
the one and only Tom Sandoval. Yay. It was very fun talking to Tom.
Tom has furniture in his house now.
Yeah, stay tuned.
This was a jam-packed week of television.
It feels a lot.
And on Sunday we have the first part of the Atlanta reunion, so it's like getting even busier.
I know.
I'm excited because...
Right, but now we're getting into the virtual reunion.
So it's a nice thing to talk about and see also the differences between how all the show
are doing it. I mean, they're all pretty much the same, but like the vibes. We can see different
vibes. Yes. I am, I'm very curious for how the Vanderpump one is going to be just because there
are truly so many people. And I don't know if they're, how they would even fit all those boxes on
the screen at the same time. I know. I wonder if there's honestly someone or a few people who aren't
even going to be in the reunion because they, they don't need them to be. But we'll get there.
We will get there. I do have a question for you. Have,
Have you watched or did you watch Camp Getaway this week?
Yes, I did watch the first episode of Camp Getaway.
I know you watched it.
And I feel like we should just like give our little brief opinions.
Yeah, very great.
Yeah, I don't have a lot to say, honestly.
I'm not sure if I'm vibing with it.
It's a nice thing to watch when you don't have anything else to watch.
I think that's a good.
way to talk about it.
I mean, I knew that it wasn't going to be, like I mentioned a few weeks ago,
like my experience at camp.
This is people who are teachers who have a real nine to five jobs
and are working at this camp on the weekends.
And they're not counselors.
They're kind of just there like supervising the activities,
such as like archery and ziplining and the lake.
And it's really just adults that are getting drunk,
but on a schedule, I don't know.
I'm maybe going to see more drama.
unfolds? I didn't realize
that they weren't like the real camp counselors.
I thought it was like, I thought you were following like a group of camp counselors.
And instead this is like a group of a group of like
fuckups from the city who want to have fun on the weekends, but apparently are getting paid
to do so. And yeah, I'm not, the only thing I could think is that the full-time staff at this camp
must hate these people because they just waltz in on Friday. And I don't know.
like, yeah, we can have a drink, we can hook up.
Who cares? I can go to bed early.
And you know that whoever's actually operating all of the facilities probably is in hell.
Right.
Okay, anyway, enough of Camp Getaway.
That was our...
Yeah, I'll give it another episode.
I'll give it another episode.
We'll see.
So on this week's Vanderpump Rules, we saw the return of Nightmare Jacks once and for all is back.
Rage texting.
lunatic jacks
rage texting
veins popping
might not be the only thing he was popping
he talked about Adderall
I oh
this episode was just
a cornucopia of jacks
my favorite text that
one of one of the many rage texts that he sent
was to Max and he goes
if you're talking shit don't come to my pool party
and then his next thing was but if you're not
then you can still come like he didn't even know
he just sent to text.
Everyone was like, how do you even respond?
I think Tom Schwartz had the best.
He called it like a tactic or whatever.
He's like, you just delete them as you come through.
As they come through, you just delete them.
I was like, oh, is that how you get rid of rage texers?
You just delete them as they come through to your phone.
I'm going to start doing that to, like, guys I'm talking to.
I'm going to text them and be like, are you talking to other people?
If not, it's fine.
I was going to say, I would start rage deleting slacks that come through from work and be like, oh, nope, I didn't see that one. That's a good idea.
It's not in my inbox. Sorry, I couldn't have possibly responded. So basically right off the bat, we get Jax already on one because he's talking to Sheena at Sur because I forgot that Jax allegedly still works at Sir. I feel like we haven't. I feel like Sheena has been there every episode and Jax has really pop up.
in and out. Right. Wait, let me correct myself. Sorry. He sent that rage tech to
Sandiball, not Max. He sent other rage texts to Max. Sorry. Oh, of course. There was many
a rage text. I know. But so right off the bat, he's talking to Sheena. Sheena asks if he
wants to see footage from her music video. He says no. And then he's a shot. He's already
complaining about Tom and Ariana because he just is obsessed with them. He can't stop talking about
Tom and Ariana's relationship and how miserable Ariana is.
He doesn't say that she's faking her depression, but like, that's kind of the vibe I get
that he doesn't really believe that she's going through it.
And then he's also talking shit about Max's beach cleanup.
Right.
But the thing that I didn't appreciate is when he reached anything, he says stuff, he doesn't even
know what he's saying.
And when he was talking about Ariana, which number one, that was disgusting anyway, of
him to do that. But then in the same episode later on, he was saying how he's going through
some mental, he actually called the mental problems. And why is it okay for you to talk about yours,
but then like belittle someone else's? You know, it's just that wasn't okay for him to do.
But, um... He also referred to his bouts of rage texting as episodes. And I'm thinking, like,
should you be like under, like, psychiatric, like, care? Like,
It's not normal to talk about how you're having episodes.
Yeah.
But also another detail about Jack, since he was such a mean guy this episode,
was when him and Sanable went to go get their sneakers cleaned,
which also, like, I'm into that.
That was a cool little friend trip that they went on.
And we got to go do that.
Sanibal, yeah, for real.
Sanibal has turned into such like a real mature business person
as he even talks to people, but he and Jacks have just evolved into very different people,
and we see their friendship changing. And Jacks's credit card declines, which is something we have
seen in the past. And that was just a little tidbit, you know, if you're going to dig at someone
else, like that was almost bad karma. But it's true. Like, Tom was trying to give him advice,
and he just like, they're not at that point where that can even happen anymore, I feel.
No, there are two people that Tom said in our interview, you'll hear that he said,
that they're very different people.
And, you know, some people are growing.
Some people aren't.
And I just don't, it doesn't seem like they should be friends anymore.
I get why they were friends before.
But, you know, sometimes it's just time to move on.
And speaking of moving on, let's talk about Kristen's pop-up.
So she has a James May pop-up, which is basically just there are drinks and like a rack of
T-shirts.
And she's telling everyone to shop.
And people seem into it, whatever.
but then Jax is there again blowing up at Kristen because of this.
So apparently she-
Alleged sex tape.
Alleged sex tape.
So she says that she recently hooked up with Carter again,
but then there's also another guy that she hooked up with,
and there's allegedly a video of them hooking up.
And the whole question is, how recent was it?
Because she's saying it was from a long time ago,
and maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.
but the whole thing is why the fuck does jacks care right here's my one question who cares let the girl
fucking live jacks you're one to judge people on how many people they hook up with and when
it pot calling the kettle black honestly does anyone remember when jack's foot faith like oh my god
but like it was so and Kristen honestly i love that in her interview she goes of course i'm lying
to Jacks. Like she knows by now. That was great because she knew he was going to see this episode,
but it's funny because she was like, now is not the time or place. It was her place of business.
Who cares? Let the girl live. Let her hook up with people. And I liked how she went over to that
circle that she wasn't even standing in. And she was like, can we not do this like right here,
like at where I'm selling something? I don't get it. But he got it. You could have about that.
You could have this conversation literally any other time or place, but maybe just not at Kristen's business event, like the one time.
Or never, or never have the conversation.
Yeah, or never.
I mean, it's funny because Jacksfield seems like he's personally offended that he's listened to Kristen complain about Carter and then she slept with Carter and another person.
And it's like, honestly, like, that's what a friend is like.
Everyone complains.
Everyone gets lonely.
everyone has sex.
I mean, not everyone, but like, whatever.
And I just don't understand
why Jacks cares. Like, I don't
understand why he cares about Tom and Ariana.
I don't understand why he cares about Kristen.
I think he just is kind of miserable in his own life
and he's taking it out of his friends.
Yeah, he did say he's just very angry.
And that's it. That's all he said. He's like, I've just been angry.
Well, yeah. So then at the end of the episode,
we see him at home with Brin.
Brittany and they're having this conversation about these issues that have been happening and the rage texting and Britney is really upset about it.
And I think she's kind of realizing she said in her confessional that I married him knowing he was that person.
So she can't act surprised that that's what he's acting like.
And that is just bleak as fuck.
Yeah.
They got married.
They got married weeks ago.
And she's already like, well, I told myself, you know, I.
I can't, like, oh.
But at the beach cleanup, we can talk about Max's beach cleanup quickly.
Jack didn't come because he claims that driving there defeated the purpose of cleaning
the beach because of the fumes that would be coming from the cars driving there.
Anyway, every single person was talking shit about him not being there, including, like,
Brittany hasn't defended him.
And she, I like that for her that she knows when he's wrong and when he's not.
but the fact that everyone showed up and he didn't,
like there maybe, just say you don't want to go.
Like, there's no reason to, like, start a fight about it.
This was maybe the event of the season that the most people have engaged with
because we even saw Stasi asking Dana about her relationship issues.
All of the new people were there.
All of the OGs were there except Jacks, obviously.
And so it was kind of maybe one of the first times all season that we've really seen
everyone engaging with each other and it was like okay jacks you don't have to come whatever right
it was a nice event it was a nice event too i know i was like i want to go to the beach cleanup
i know they claimed it was the cleanest beach there but so there was nothing to clean but i did
appreciate that i liked how we saw the dynamic between everyone um it was very awkward when
christen hugged stasi congratulations i was like oh cringe why is it so awkward

Watch only on Prime.
I feel like that's most of our thoughts on Manipump real quick.
I do want to touch on James and Raquel because, you know,
they're really just doing the most trying to, you know,
earn their place on this show.
And I kind of feel for them.
And so James seems like he's doing well with his sobriety and he's at Sir with Raquel
and Lisa sits down.
And, you know, they have a nice moment together.
And I think we have always seen Lisa kind of having that soft spot for James.
And so it was nice to see them.
kind of patching things up
and you know she really cares about him
a lot and so that was
nice to see. And most important
of that conversation is that she said
to James well we don't have a
DJ tonight and James's
face like lit up. He was
like what? Like
I can DJ. White Kanye's
back and like he's so excited
all the kid wants to do is
DJ. He's very good at DJing
by the way as we saw him Betches' like
turn up and DJ James
He's got a needs living room.
But yeah, him and Raquel are one of my favorites this season.
James has always been, but Raquel is really serving this season.
Raquel's moment.
So Raquel asks Lisa if she wants a glass of rosé, and Lisa says, does the Pope have a balcony?
And, oh, poor Raquel is so flummoxed by that.
She just goes, um, no.
No, she's what?
And then she says, in her.
confessional interview, she goes,
does everyone know that the Pope drinks
for Jose on the balcony?
She's so funny.
She's the gift.
She's the gift that keeps on giving.
It's so funny because the way
she says those types of things
aren't even, they don't even come up as dumb.
She twists it and makes it seem like,
you're right, Raquel. Like, I guess you're right.
We didn't know that.
You know?
She really is
my favorite.
I'm thinking
back to the moment from a few weeks ago
when she ordered at the restaurant
I'll let the cheeseburger with the cheese.
Listen, she's just confirming
that the waiter knows that there's
cheese on the cheeseburger.
Whatever.
She's competitive.
She knows about the Pope.
She is a pageant.
Like, Raquel, bring it.
Full-time next season, please.
Her ordering a cheeseburger with cheese
still is better than Charlie trying pasta
from Olive Garden for the first time.
So there's my opinion.
But she's also very particular about her cheesecake.
I can't.
These new Surrogles have a lot of specifics about their food habits.
I think we should talk about one more thing on Vanderpump before I move on.
And that is one more time by Sheena Marie.
Yes.
She's Sheena Shea now.
She's Sheena Shea, please.
That's her middle name.
It's her divorce name.
She still goes by Sheena Shea.
So she has this music video that she invited Brett to film in Palm Springs and they're like basically getting it on in the video and he claims that she made him feel uncomfortable and she's like Brett come on that's acting like come on like you're in a music video like what did you think it was going to be sorry I'm good at my job I'm an actress which I think that production is really trying to make Sheena look worse than she is this season. That's where I stand. She does do a lot.
to herself, but I really feel
even the last episode, her trucked to Nick a lot.
Like, they're just doing this to her, and
I don't know. I think it means to.
I agree. I think
Brett probably did feel uncomfortable
at the music video shoot, but he also probably
could have said something and
whatever. I do
think they're kind of doing Sheena a little bit dirty.
Even though we know Sheena is thirsty
and whatever, it's a little
much. Right. But she's
always like
ready to go with her backpack on and just
ready to like leave the room no matter what the conversation is.
I respect somebody who's ready to leave a room.
I want to be in her next music video.
I've always wanted to be in a music video.
It's my dream.
Should we move on to Beverly Hills?
I think we should.
Yes.
Okay.
So last night we finally got to Teddy Mellencamp's,
all in by Teddy accountability retreat,
the much maligned event.
And so we see Erica, Kyle,
and Sutton going on time at the crack of dawn to this retreat, which apparently was two hours away.
I'm like, what? Where is this? I know. I was trying to think of where it was, and I thought they said it,
but I don't think they did. Was it in Palm Springs or was it where was? I think it must have, I think it must
have been out in Malibu or somewhere thereabouts. Or Malibu, right. Because then they had to go,
they had to go to Malibu later in the episode for Denise's party. And I feel like how much time of these
women spent in the car. Right, but there's no way it was in Malibu because, like, Denise
lives in Malibu and they don't travel two hours every time they have to see her, right? No, it takes a
minute, though. I, we will not get into the weeds with L.A. geography right now. So, they're
doing this boxing class in the morning, and then Doret shows up during the lunch. As she said she was
going to, she told Teddy that she was going to come after lunch, and she showed her. She showed
up in what can only be described as full Barbie workout glam. And that caused a bit of a stir,
for sure. It shouldn't have, though. Number one, she, like you said, she mentioned it. She came,
though. You could see it on her face. Like, she just didn't want to be there, which is fine.
But I think by the girl saying something to her really, like, ticked her off even more. And that is when
she just got like defensive and she at the same time i was watching it and i was like leave her alone
who care again same thing with jett who cares like you're there mind your own business you are there
doing what you're supposed to do leave dureate alone and kyle just kept like nagging at her glam and at her
glam and at her glam and at her glam and like it's okay let the girl live here's my thing about
showing up late to an event der reet told teddy ahead of time that she was going to come after lunch she
came after lunch. I don't think she wasn't saying that she was volunteering at a soup kitchen and then
she showed up in glam. It was like she said she was going to come at one. She came at one. Why are you
asking her questions about it? She wasn't saying I'm the busiest person in the world. She was like,
I'll come after lunch. Right. And so I think Kyle, I don't know why she decided to do this,
but Kyle kind of decided she was going to get at Doreet for that. And it just, it fell a little
flat and it made Kyle look a little desperate.
Yeah, it didn't execute the way it was supposed to, I think.
And it was very bizarre, a very bizarre fight.
I said to you today, whenever, I think that I have a lot of faith in this episode,
this season picking up.
But right now, it's just like, give me more, ladies.
Like, I can't.
I did appreciate, though, when Sutton came to the retreat, she was very upset.
and you can tell she was having anxiety, like getting out of the car.
And I liked that we see now, I'm taking my words back, that we're seeing a softer
side of Sutton.
I didn't give her a chance.
And I like the way that she gave it a try.
She was the bigger person in this scenario.
However, seeing her in the boxing class in the retreat, I was like, oh, God, Sutton,
have you ever done, like, a social gathering activity ever?
I think she's, I think she has some social awkwardness.
And I think she got off to kind of a bumpy start with the group.
But I'm hoping that through the season, if she's around this much,
that we kind of see her blossom a little bit.
Because, you know, it's, I think she has a fun, she's funny.
And she has like a fun personality side.
But we just, you know, she got off to a little bit of a rough start.
But I think we're seeing her kind of bring it back.
We also saw Garcel have a really sweet dinner with her twin sons, 11-year-old boys.
They are so cute.
They are so cute.
And I love their relationship with her where they can kind of like give her a hard time and have kind of mess with her.
But in a way that still feels very respectful.
Yeah.
I love Garcel.
I'm here for her.
That scene just made me so happy.
Garcel is, she's such a fun, fresh energy.
And I hope that continues.
And I'm excited to see her get a little more into some drama.
But right now, I just love the vibe that she's bringing to the show.
In my notes for this episode, I literally wrote Garcell's Twitter.
and so cute.
I wrote,
back to the accountability retreat,
I wrote,
Love that Garcel just didn't go.
Honestly, good for her.
She did what Derreet should have done,
honestly,
because the second Teddy said,
don't come, I don't care.
Garcel was like,
okay, I won't come.
Right.
We also saw Rina out to lunch
with her daughter,
Amelia, who she, as mentioned,
came home from school in New York,
which I like that she's,
open about her issues and what's going on in her life. I think it's great. She has a great platform
to do so. However, at their lunch, Rina had a little bit of a dig. Oh, my God. And I know. I
I was like, oh my God, I'm going to love this. Those who know me know that there's nothing.
I love more than one Olivia Jade, daughter of Lori Loughlin. And when Amelia Gray is talking about
getting her math credits to transfer to USC.
And Lisa Rina just goes,
well,
he better get those credits
because I am not going to put you
on a rowing machine
and take a picture.
I was like,
oh, my God,
no, she didn't.
Oh, my God.
I was watching the episode live.
I had to pause and go back,
one, because I wanted a video
of that moment,
but two, because I just didn't believe
that it came out of her mouth.
I was obsessed that she said that.
I know, and this is the Rina I love.
I'm like, yes.
And the thing is,
Lisa Rina and,
Lori Loughlin totally run in the same circle.
And so you know that Lisa has probably known Lori for like 20 years.
And so for her to make that casual dig, it's not like me talking shit about Lori Loughlin.
It's like, oh yeah, like I used to be, I'm sure they have cross paths so many times over the years.
Yeah.
Or whatever.
I was obsessed.
And then I continued to be obsessed throughout the rest of the episode when they went to Denise's backyard pizza party, I guess.
Why did they judge everyone's parties?
Like, you guys, it's at her house.
It's in her backyard.
It's a pizza party.
Like, what do you expect?
I'm so confused by this.
Okay, but also, why the fuck was there a diamond ice sculpture?
I mean, maybe that was the only option of the ice sculpture order form.
I don't know.
Like, whatever.
But so at this dinner, we see kind of a continuation of the drama between Doreet and Kyle
that started at the accountability retreat.
and Kyle really is hung up on this thing with Doreet and coming late and it becomes a thing about
whether or not Kyle sticks up for her friends in situations of conflict.
And the thing is, Kyle kind of does.
I don't...
Well, yeah, but it didn't seem like the correct situation for that to be brought up.
I hate how they always meet something just such a bigger deal than it is.
And this was the second time in this episode, they had this conversation about Doreet being late.
And honestly, if I was Doree, if I were Doree in this, I would be like, can we get over this?
Like, it's weird.
Leave me alone.
And Doreet came at her earlier in the episode and said, I have a life.
And it came off really, I knew what she was saying.
But she and Kyle was like, and I don't have a life.
And Doreet wasn't saying it in comparison to the other women.
and she was saying it in general.
I have a life.
That's why I was late.
She wasn't saying, I have a life and you don't.
That's not the way it happened.
But then, yeah, they brought it up again at the dinner.
And then, yeah, when they say how Kyle defends people,
then Rina, though, goes, well, sometimes.
And she brought up how she didn't defend her with Kim Richards,
which I was like, oh, my God,
is this where we're going right now with this?
I love Lisa Rina, but I thought,
that was a fucked up thing to say in that moment.
Yeah. Well, then, yeah, I mean, again, not time or place.
It wasn't the argument. It wasn't where it needed to be said.
Then Kyle starts hysterically crying. And in that moment, I was like, kind of you can dish it,
but you can't take it. Like, you were being exceptionally mean to Dorete this episode.
And someone said one thing to you. And I don't, it wasn't, it wasn't for me, the reaction.
Yeah. So Kyle stormed off. We got it to be continued. So we will find out.
next week what happens, but I'm loving Beverly Hills. Barry, I know you're loving it a little bit
less, but I'm still feeling this season is really promising and it's heating up. Yeah. So on that note,
who is your number one Bravo-Lev in the group this week? Erica, because this week she sat back
and listened and then put in her opinion when needed to be at the retreat while eating French fries.
And, you know, that's just my girl.
She just knows when to be involved, when not to be involved,
and the girl loves to eat, and she doesn't give a fuck who judges her.
I definitely appreciate that.
My number one, maybe, at least for the second week, is DeRite.
I'm loving her energy this season, loving her vibe.
I think she was totally right this week.
And her and Erica together is a fun combo this season so far.
I do.
I love them.
I think her, who would I say to you?
Erica, Doree, and Garcel.
Garcel, yeah.
Yep, that's my trio this season.
And I really like it a lot.
And I'm excited to see where it goes.
And I don't know.
There's just, I feel like, yeah, there's a lot brewing.
And I feel like it's heading into different directions,
but we all know where it's going.
And I can't wait for it to happen.
Very excited.
So, guys, thank you for listening.
Don't forget to rate, review, subscribe,
and stick around because our interview with Tom Sandval is in just a second.
Welcome back guys. We are now joined by Vanderpumpurl Star and best-selling author Tom Sandoval. Welcome.
Thanks. Thanks for having me. How's it going? How's the quarantine situation there?
It's great. We've been working out a lot.
Getting stuff done around the house, doing some construction.
We just got a new dog.

part Husky part
Pitbull
she's so
so cute
what's her name
we haven't named her yet
yeah
oh
did she come from
did she come from
Vanderpump dogs?
No no she didn't
I can't remember where she came from
Ariana kind of like
figured that out but
but yeah
I think she's
you know took her a little bit to get used
to people
think there was definitely some abuse in her life, especially from maybe a guy, maybe with a
court or something.
Oh, my goodness.
Yeah.
Is she not a puppy?
She is a puppy.
She's super chill, though.
She's quiet.
She's really loving.
Like, she's really opened up.
It's only been like about two or three weeks.
So that's so cute.
It's a great use of this time at home for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Have you guys furnished your house speaking of that since the quarantine has started?
Yeah, people love to ask that question.
And yes, we most definitely have.
And the thing is, is when you buy one-of-a-kind badass, custom-ass shit, it takes time.
Ariane and I are both very particular.
You know, the last thing we would ever do is by staging furniture with a house.
So, you know, when we're getting, like, for instance, a custom built-in made in art.
You know, our bedroom that has a fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and holds dishes, you know, that shit takes time.
We have a custom chandelier coming into our dining room.
We have, we had a custom bed made, like, you know, rugs and everything that we're all handmade and one of a kind.
You know, it just takes time.
And, you know, too, like we have a concrete breakfast table.
And it's just, you know, when you get big orders in and stuff, like they, you know, it takes like, it can take like 12 weeks from one item and all the, they hold all the other items, you know, in order to send everything at once.
So I'm going to be.
Yeah, I'm going to come over.
It sounds like it's going to be amazing once it's done.
Do you have a guest room?
Yeah, we do.
Also, I'm getting a gym.
We're getting a gym built.
we already have a lot of it built,
treadmill, I have a tonal machine,
I have free weights, everything,
but I'm getting mirrors put in LED lights
and the crown molding at the top.
So like, you know, a lot of stuff's happening,
but it just, it all takes time.
Nicolane is designing a bar
that basically will go,
you'll go through a bookshelf to enter this bar
and it'll feel like you are in a,
like you just went out to a bar.
You'll have a completely different feel
than the rest of them are.
make me so happy. I don't know. I'm like, I can't, I'm envisioning this palace that should be
on a million dollar listing, LA.
Well, I feel like you love that. You have an extra ass motherfucker right here and Ariana is also
very particular. So it's just like, you know what I mean? Like it's, it's, it's just, it's also,
you know, when you're picking out stuff like, you know, this isn't an apartment, you know,
it's our house. And it's the first time I've been able to like, really sort of,
of get stuff that it feels permanent, you know, or have for a really long time. So it just,
it just takes time. You want to see every single, you know, you want to look at like six or
seven hundred couches before you buy one, you know, you want to, you want to look at like a thousand
rugs, you know, like. Of course. That's so funny. So speaking of being at home, what have been
some of your favorite cocktails that you've been drinking while you've been at home? Because
obviously you and Ariana have the hook up.
My favorite thing is to take like St. Germain and tequila and muddle like
blackberries, blueberries together in that about, you know, ounce and a half tequila
by an ounce of St. Germain. Muddle that with a bunch of berries and then basically
put a bunch of ice in it and then top it with like blueberry truly. I think that's an awesome,
awesome content.
I just got a bar cart and your book, I like ran and put your book on top of it.
That was like my decor of the bar.
Yes, I love it.
That sounds incredibly refreshing.
It's so good.
It's so good.
Now I need your advice for home decorating and my drinks that I'm drinking.
I was going to ask you in the future to be my best man, but now I'm like maybe you should be my
interior decorator. I don't know. Well, I mean, I guess I guess, you know, we'll have,
we'll definitely be showing off some of our ideas, you know, I don't know. We're working with,
we're working with interior decorators as well, which makes a huge difference, you know,
like you, um, having somebody who can present you like, because it's just hard to just start
from scratch. So it's like when somebody sort of like comes at you with like different concepts or
whatever, you're like, yes, no on that, and then we find something.
But it's taken a really, you know, it takes a long time, you know, especially Ariane and I have
very, you know, we have different tastes.
So, you know, it's like, different tastes, but I feel like you guys both have good taste.
It's not, it's not a good and a bad.
It's just a meeting of the minds.
Yeah, that's true.
That's true.
And me, I mean, you got to talk me out of things like wanting to put a fire pole in the middle of my house,
you know, like.
I should turn my thing sideways because you guys are sideways.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, that works.
We can still see you.
That's good.
How have things been at Tom Tom,
especially during quarantine beforehand,
we noticed that you guys were raising money for your employees.
How is that been going?
That went really well.
We ended up doing,
we gave 10 grand of our own money and then we raised a little over 40.
So we were able to hand out checks for everybody.
It ended up being like $724 for all our employees because we have 69 employees.
And then, which was great.
It was awesome.
I mean, Tom Tom is, I mean, it's not open right now.
We closed down pretty much right at the beginning.
I would have loved to stay open and even do like drinks to go and stuff like that.
But, you know, as a minority owner, it's not.
not like my call. So. Right. Well, hoping that it stays strong and it reopens and we can come
visit. Yes, definitely. I mean, I feel like, I mean, we're definitely planning on reopening.
Yeah, of course. Right. So getting into this season a little bit, we're drawing to a close in the
next few weeks. How have you felt about this season overall? Any overall reactions? It's been intense.
It's been really intense.
There's been some huge ups and downs.
Obviously, you know, before the wedding, leading up to the wedding, the wedding was actually a really awesome time, great time.
The wedding.
Huh?
The wedding.
We know which wedding we're talking about.
Yeah, Jackson and Britney's wedding was a lot of fun.
And, you know, we had a great time.
Obviously, my birthday, Jackson's birthday.
Like, that was all a lot of fun.
And then obviously towards the end of the season and towards the end of the summer,
you know, things get a little hairy again.
So, yeah.
We saw, so in the episode from this week, we see that Jacks is kind of,
shall we say, a little heated about some things.
He's talking to Sheena, kind of bringing up these kind of weird questions
that he's brought up about your relationship.
What do you think is his kind of deal with you?
It seems like he has some fascination with poking at you.
Yeah, I mean, I think it's just everybody in general.
I mean, I know he was obviously very obsessive and compulsive about Kristen as well.
And about me.
I mean, I don't know.
I don't know what his obsession is.
I mean, I don't really, you know, I would never consider Jack's, like, a safety.
place. So even if there was any sort of like issue with, you know, me and Ariana, I would not be
talking to Jacks about it because, I mean, he would use it as a punchline and a joke. Like it's so,
you know, he's just not a safe place. But obviously, you know, there were no issues and are no
issues. And I just feel, you know, I don't know. I don't know exactly why Jacks feels the need to
You know, it's like after his wedding, after his birthday, it's like he's bored or something.
Like, I don't fully understand.
But, you know, we're very different people.
Yes, you see that.
I know we know that you guys just filmed the reunion.
We just want to touch upon it a little bit.
What can you tell us?
What can we expect from that?
Well, it was really crazy the lengths that everybody, the lengths that production went,
to do them to make sure and film this reunion.
I mean, they dropped off a TB with like an iPhone mount.
And we had our own mics with like this whole thing.
And it was like a three or four hour process of like setting up everything,
which they did through Zoom.
And then they did mirroring with the phone.
and then they were going through.
They had like each sort of group.
There was like 15 different like TVs dropped off.
And each group had its own setup and its own like three, four hour process of setting this up.
I mean, they had a roll of paper that rolled out to show you where to put your chairs.
Like it was.
That's dedication.
Believeable.
It was amazing.
It's like it was so impressive.
And I think, you know, the quality of, because obviously we watched each other through Zoom, but then they also recorded sound.
They had, we had our own mic.
Then we also had a mic on the floor, the directional mic, and then we had, you know, cameras that were on us.
So I think the quality is going to be good.
And as far as the union overall in general, I mean, it was definitely very emotional.
I would say, you know, some nice little, some people sort of really, you know, owning up to certain things
and really sort of being self-aware, I would say.
People being, a lot of people being self-aware.
Some, not so much.
Some just sort of, you know, continuing to not evolve as human beings.
But, you know, what can you expect?
That's what, you know.
We can make our own guesses and then see you in a few weeks if that comes true.
Well, it's so funny because we've watched this show for so many years.
And for some reason, well, not, there's many reasons.
Vanderprenferals just doesn't disappoint me.
It doesn't.
I get so excited.
So excited to watch it.
There's so much drama.
It's like, you guys are my friend group.
And I get in trouble for saying right now, I still think you're the number one guy in the group.
Oh, thank you. I appreciate that.
I think everyone has their strengths, you know.
Yeah, I saw a microphone on Ariana's picture on her, and I was like, how'd that happen?
A microphone on her picture.
Like the picture she put up from the reunion.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was crazy.
The lengths that they went to do all this.
I'm just glad it happened
You know
Yeah I know
For us watching
I know we all really appreciate
That they're doing that
Because this is such a strange time
And it's great to still have
You know a classic reunion
Even if it's a little different
Yeah and in fact
Our neighbors got upset
When they saw production coming by
They never even came into our house
Like they dropped it off
We wheeled TV in
honestly and with all these plugs coming out of it.
But they got upset because our neighbors know Jackson's neighbors and they're both actors.
And right now, they're not filming anything because anything that's like union is shut down.
And so, you know, our show has a union crew as well.
And so they're like, they're pissed rightly so because they thought that like production crews were showing up here to film.
But obviously they were wrong and we talked about it or whatever.
but yeah, they were not happy
because, yes, a lot of actors are not working right now, you know?
Yeah, it's an interesting, I mean,
we've never really dealt with a time like this before,
so it's interesting to see how that's kind of playing out.
Yeah.
So this season, obviously, you got a bunch of new cast members on the show,
and both you and Arianna, I feel like, have done a good job
of bringing them into the group, interacting with them.
I know Sheena's been doing that a lot, too.
how do you feel about this season kind of being different with that newer crew coming in and your thoughts on them as a group?
I think that they did pretty good job.
Most of them did a really good job.
They were open and they were honest.
They definitely kind of brought it.
Obviously, you know, with a cast that keeps growing, it does seem a little big sometimes.
You know, it does seem like there's a lot going on.
I really like the way they would do like split screens and stuff like that to sort of show two things kind of happening at the same time.
A lot of flashbacks and stuff like that.
I mean, I felt like it was a clever way of sort of integrating, integrating everybody.
But I think they did a good job.
You know, I really do.
I think they did the best they could.
And obviously, you know,
um yeah yeah i i think they did good i think and i always like you know the new people i i know it's
obviously we're always like slightly protective over you know the integrity of the show and stuff like
that so it's always a little weird at first but you know for the most part i think they usually
get like how you know this is a very real show and you need to be open and honest and and
you know and that's how it works right i think it's a
exciting having more ties back to Sir and Tom Tom, because obviously not all of you guys are still,
you know, serving and bartending and whatnot. So it's fun to kind of have that more
organic tie back to the roots of the show kind of. Yeah. Yeah, I like it. I like it. I dig it.
I just want to bring something up. We saw that Lala has actually mentioned that she skips the
scenes with the new people in it, which is fine.
But then she also mentioned that you and Arianna aren't her cup of tea.
So where does your relationship stand with her?
Are there, do you guys keep in contact with everyone from the show?
Can you tell us a little bit about that?
Well, obviously we went through a little bit of a rough patch throughout the season,
but as far as how everything kind of ends up,
you're just going to have to wait and see in a couple weeks.
Ooh.
Yeah.
I like that.
Do you have you, you probably can't get into this too much.
but do you foresee any big changes for next season or do you think we kind of have a solid group going right now?
I mean, I couldn't have really predicted this past season going the way it did.
I mean, from what I've found when it comes to this show and it comes to this group of friends,
like planning or predicting is just a list of things that aren't going to happen.
So, I mean, I don't know.
I don't know.
But, yes, of course I see big changes.
I just don't know where they're going to come from.
You know, I don't know.
But I can imagine, yeah, there could be some big changes.
Who knows?
But obviously, this is a very different time, you know.
If productions were open right now and everything's up and filming,
like, the fact that that's not happening right now
also might affect, like, different things
with production and filming, you know, another season.
Right.
I almost like when your answers are, I don't know.
I feel really good about another season happening,
but, you know, it's still up in the air
because we don't know when production's going to come back.
I think there would be riots in the streets
if the other funcles did not have another season.
I would not have any of myself something to say about that, like, no,
it's not over.
I'm telling you right now, it's not.
But I like when answers are always like, I don't know,
because then I feel almost at the same level as you.
Like, we know the same thing about the show.
You don't know, I don't know, I'm good.
I feel really good.
I feel if something did weirdly happen,
they would, like, drop equipment off at our house
and, like, have us just, like, film shit.
I know they would do something like that.
Did they pick all the equipment back up after the reunion?
Yeah.
Yeah, they did.
except one
you didn't get to keep the
extra TV's
cord
no no no
they bought MacBook pros too
I mean it was crazy
like it was
the setup was pretty
elaborate
and pretty cool
like I mean think about this
like walking through
not only like us
through this setup
but walking through like
Jacks and Lisa Bannerpump
you know what I mean
like it had to be pretty simple
and pretty self-explanet
to it right
my mom has a Zoom later
and she'll
I came into my room and she was like, can you like help, can you do it for me?
Like no one knows how to do this.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Well, I can't wait to see it.
What would you say?
So you've been on the show now for almost a decade.
We're getting close to that mark.
Are there any specific moments that stick out as kind of a time that was really crazy or
that you can't believe happened or I don't know, just any top moments for you?
I would say first trip to.
Miami during
Shina's wedding was like
crazy emotional
because I mean I lost my
voice after it we filmed like
8 we filmed like 18 hours
like 16 hours
and 18 hours and then like
you know freaking
12 hours like it was
the days were so long
um
and so crazy
and then also
um
I really loved our trip
to Hawaii. That was really amazing. Not for everybody, I guess, but we had a great time.
I mean, you had no issue. We went to like North Shore and, you know, explored the island.
But just, I mean, obviously the moment in drag, you know, I love the old men makeup that we did
this past year. I just love doing stuff like that. I love committing to like.
crazy concepts or costumes and stuff like that.
I think it's so much fun.
It kind of sets us apart.
But yeah, I mean, I don't know.
Like one time, you know, this was season three actually,
one of the first days of filming.
In fact, I think it was the first day of filming.
There was that huge brawl at Mixology in the Grove.
I mean, like a crazy brawl.
You saw like a tiny snippet of that night.
It was nuts.
It was like, it reminded me of like those classic like westerns
where like there's a fight at a saloon.
And like this person hits this person and that person thinks somebody else hit them.
So they hit a different person back.
It's like it was crazy.
It was fucking crazy.
You just explained to seeing that like,
didn't see.
Yeah, I did, I did.
But that was pretty, pretty nuts.
Pretty, pretty nuts.
How does it make you feel to go back and watch those old episodes?
Do you steer clear of it, or is it?
No, I like, I like watching them.
I like, I mean, I love all of the seasons of our show for different reasons, you know, I,
I loved, season one was very much about just like Jackson Stossi, you know, season two,
even more so as well
but then like there was obviously
a huge reveal at the end of season two
and then the fight with jacks and then season three
it's just like
I love them all season five
I really really liked season five
because of uh you know
Schwartz and Katie's wedding and
I mean that was amazing and
the dog wipe
of the tears
and the famous dog wife of the tears
yes yes
Oh, so much, so crazy.
So crazy. It's been almost a decade.
I know. Even when you just said that, I was like, oh, my God.
That starts.
Well, it's crazy when the show started that we've seen your relationship with Ariana from the beginning, obviously.
And it's, I feel like you guys have grown so much as individuals and together.
I mean, now you're in your house talking about building her a closet.
It's like, we've come a long way.
Yeah, it's nuts.
Versus like trying to convince her to move into my apartment and all that.
Yeah.
Well, you have come a long way from your microwave in the air conditioning not working at the same time.
Oh, my gosh.
I applaud you for that.
Thank you.
I can't imagine during this quarantine being stuck in that two bedroom with like me,
Ariana, and Jeremy, because Jeremy is living with us.
I just, God, that would have been horrible.
once you know yeah I mean we just had so I mean we had that we had two storage
units because like you know every season we buy clothes we do a you know we go to
events you get more clothes it's like just fucking clothes like everywhere it's like
can't can't even do anything with it um yeah yeah that was amazing
you guys chose the right time to to upgrade a little bit
What is the first thing?
I love asking us,
what's the first thing you guys are going to do
and quarantine is over?
If it is over.
If and what?
If.
I think I really want to go to Vegas.
I want to go to Vegas.
I was in Vegas the week before quarantine started.
So I hope it's the same.
I hope nothing changes there, but I don't know.
I really want to go to Vegas.
I want to go
like bar hopping in a Vegas casino
walk around like go to a pool
like gamble
yeah
yeah that sounds awesome to me
that sounds like the weekend
we all are going to need after this.
Me too.
I love that.
Well Tom
thank you so much for joining us
it was great to catch up about this season
and we look forward to seeing how it ends
and the virtual reunion of it all.
Yes, of course.
Thank you.
My pleasure.
It's great talking to you guys.
Betches.
