Betches Media presents.
Ha ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, both.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mentioned All podcast.
We are back for one more episode this week.
We've got Summerhouse to talk about, of course, toe sucking and kickball games and
lemur, you know, DMing and all of that.
So we're going to get into Summerhouse.
First, we have a couple of things to talk about, though, about our classic Roney ladies.
It's all been quiet on the Roney reboot front lately.
I have no idea what's happening with casting there.
But Sonia was on Watch What Happens Live last night.
I want to talk about that.
And also we got an update on Leah McSweeney's lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo
and the production company behind Roney.
And if you're feeling like it's been a while since we've really checked in on the,
what was it called, the reality reckoning, I think that was,
that was Bethany's big word for it.
It does feel like we've been a while since we've checked in on this.
Because, like, as I've talked about, Bethany kind of stopped caring.
If you've checked in on Bethany's TikTok, she's much more worried about chicken salad and, you know,
Chanel being mean to her and a million other things a day, you know, messing up her dinner date with Alex Earle.
That's really, you know, front page news over in Bethany land.
But Leah McSweeney is still fighting the good fight or whatever kind of fight you want to call it.
And the judge ruled on her lawsuit this week, basically on all of her claims, whether or not they can move forward, whether or not these lawsuits are actually going to go to trial or arbitration or a settlement or whatever's going to happen next.
But basically, she was bringing a lot of claims in this lawsuit.
And three of them, I just did two fingers, three of them, three of them are going to move forward.
And this is what she is actually now, I guess, going to be suing for according to what the judge has ruled on.
A hostile workplace environment claim regarding her substance abuse disorder and mental illness,
a reasonable accommodation claim and retaliation under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
And then she had 10 additional claims regarding the same issues that were different.
dismissed, and those were against individual producers as defendants versus the corporate entities that are, you know, actually being named like Bravo and shed media. And then 20 additional claims that were dismissed alleging sex and religious discrimination. And those were all dismissed entirely. So overall, she had like 33 things that she was trying to package into this, you know, lawsuit package. It's going to be three. So Leah has declared this a victory. Obviously, she is still.
you know, sticking to her story that this, you know, that she was treated really poorly,
filming the show and that when she was, you know, being forced to drink and all of this stuff
that she's alleging. But it is interesting to me that really the judge has gone through
with the fine tooth comb and been like, okay, like, you've got something here, but we're not
just going to, we're not just going to do all 33 of these. And so I'm really curious to see kind
of what's going to happen with this because it does feel like there was a moment
a year and a half, two years ago, where there was kind of a lot of public sentiment about this. And
it seemed like maybe there was going to be this kind of movement, you know, when Bethany was trying
to get people to unionize, when Raquel was going on Bethany's podcast, when we were getting
kind of like a bunch of different lawsuits in various phases that Brandy Glanville had one. And now it
does kind of feel like Leah is sort of the only person still out here trying to make this happen. So
I don't know, maybe she'll get some money. Maybe she'll get an apology, a strongly worded letter.
Best of luck to her. But yeah, I guess a small victory in her case. And I'll be curious to see if at any point we're really going to see Andy or anyone high up at Bravo really get like dragged into this.
Because Andy obviously has made certain comments about things that have been alleged and about the sort of larger conversation about, you know, conditions and
environments on these shows, but like, are we going to see Andy, like, is he going to have to testify?
Is there going to be a subpoena? Is he going to get, like, called before Congress to speak on
conditions on reality shows? I don't think so, but like, wouldn't that kind of be fun?
Andy on Capitol Hill. I don't know. Probably he doesn't want that to happen. Let's talk about
Sonia on Watch What Happens Live, though. If you didn't see, so, Sonia was not a guest on Watch
What Happens Live last night. That was Carl and Madison.
which was an interesting pairing because Madison was very upfront about the fact that she has not been watching Summerhouse this season.
So they kept asking her about people on Summerhouse and she was like, well, I don't know.
I think that, you know, well, Sierra is a beautiful girl.
So why would Jesse not be flirting with her?
And it's like, Madison, like there's a lot going on.
There's some nuance to this situation, which we will get into.
But Sonia was introduced about halfway through the episode as a surprise.
doorbell guest, she comes out looking like Isma from the Emperor's New Groove in this like
lace, sequin, feathered jumpsuit with a matching headpiece. She called it a tiara. It's
fully just not a tiara. She looks ridiculous. And I say that with love. Like she looks good.
Like, you know, she looks great, but also like, what the fuck are you wearing? And the thing with
Sonia that just kind of like makes me a little sad isn't the right word. It makes me a little bit
confused like what is the Sonia Morgan project in 2025? What are we doing here? What is the goal?
What is the purpose? And why is she on watch what happens live? Because it was it was honestly
awkward to watch because they bring her out. They have her participate in this game that they're playing
called DM or not for him, based on Carl,
DMing with this girl Lil who called him a lemur,
and Madison and Sonia are supposed to be weighing in
on various Bravo women and whether or not Carl should DM them
or if they're not for him, which first of all,
I always think games like that are a little bit weird
because I'm like, all of these women probably want nothing to do with Carl.
Meanwhile, he's sitting in the seat,
I watch what happens live being like,
Vanita's a beautiful lady, I'd like to hear from Derreet.
Oh yeah.
Molly's pretty beautiful as well.
It's like, yeah, we know, they know, they know who you are, and they probably don't
want you in their DMs, just to guess.
No shade to Carl.
Like, he's a little ran through at this point.
He's been on Provo for a long time.
But Sonia is supposed to be weighing in in this game.
And like, Sonia, she seemed pretty lucid, like, maybe more than the last couple times I've
seen her on Watch What Happens Live.
But she just doesn't give a fuck about this game.
She's like trying to make her own little catchphrases.
She's like, I don't know, drinking double, feeling single.
Who are they?
Who is this person?
Send her home.
Whatever.
She's not really like locked in, but she doesn't have a real guest chair.
She's perched on this stool in front of the bar.
There was a bartender on the episode.
It's some like WrestleMania Smackdown Girlie with like really, you know, buff arms, you know, beautiful woman.
I don't know anything about WrestleMania.
But then Sonia's like awkwardly sitting there in front of her.
Andy like plugs her Sonia in your city upcoming dates, which like Godspeed.
And then on the after show, they ask her, has she seen Luan?
Is she dating?
Is she single?
Whatever.
But like she's not a real guest on the show, but they're framing it as this really exciting surprise.
Andy's like, stick around.
There's a surprise guest.
You're going to love it.
On social media, Bravo's posting about.
this, they're like, oh my gosh, Sonia's in the clubhouse. The full episode's going to be on
Peacock. You can watch. You can see they're treating it like Sonia appearing on Watch What
Happens Live for 10 minutes is like the Super Bowl, is like the Avengers coming back. And my
question is like, if you still see Sonia as that level of a draw, why is Sonia not on an actual
show on the network? What are we doing? You're asking her, if she's,
she's seen Luan and she's like, yeah, you know, I have seen her recently and we're cooking something.
And like, I don't want to call Sonia a liar or say that I don't believe her, but like,
in 2025, what are Sonia and Luan cooking up? If it's not a Bravo show or a peacock show or something,
like, what are we doing here? Are they cooking up like what they're going to do a crossover
appearance in each other's cameo videos? Like, what is the end goal here? And I think that's been sort of
the question with these rony women that don't feel like they have a real home. I mean,
in Sonia's case, I literally don't think she has a real home. So that's tough since the townhouse
sold. But like, I also just don't know, you know, Luann's going to be on Love Hotel soon,
which is exciting. Sonia has said that she's, the reason she isn't on Love Hotel is because she was
dating someone at the time. So she like couldn't do it, which I will give her the benefit.
of the doubt and say, I believe her that she had the offer and turned it down. But, like, either way,
it sucks that she's not on the show. But I don't know. I mean, those Rony women are just
just sitting there unused, and it's, it's tough, it's tough to see. Derinda's sharing, like,
AI artwork of her in the Berkshires, and it's like, we've got, we need real, we need real art.
We need Durinda to be on our televisions again. I don't know. Aaron Leachie had her baby.
Congratulations.
I've seen a video that she posted, and I've seen all the people,
mom shaming her, and I am simply not going to weigh in,
because nothing good can come from that.
But congratulations, Aaron, on your new baby Jack.

Own the dream. Let's talk about summerhouse. I actually really have been enjoying Summerhouse
the last couple weeks. And I know that me saying that like it's a surprise is like probably not a good
thing. But Summerhouse is a little hit or miss for me sometimes. And I feel like there is a
I feel like there is a good amount of stuff going on right now that I am genuinely interested in seeing how it's going to play out.
This week we get sort of the last chunk of Craig's participation this season, I think.
You know, he's at the house.
He and Paige are still, you know, not getting along super well.
She says that she feels like he's attacking her in a very southern way.
Attacking feels like a strong word.
I think he just is kind of like a whiny bitch.
But he, you know, she's going on this 60 city tour, which 60 cities is crazy.
When she's talking about how she's nervous to go on this 60 city tour, I'm like, yeah, that's like, I don't think Lady Gaga is going on a 60 city tour.
I don't think, Beyonce is doing like 12 cities and she's like, you come to me.
I'm not traipsing around the country like that.
60 cities is a lot.
Think of the amount of flights and I don't know if they're on a flight or on a bus or, God,
would Paige go on a bus?
I feel like Paige would be like, no, we're going to fly from city to city.
But that's a big tour and she's nervous about it.
And to feel like you just like can't talk about that with your boyfriend because he's going to be like,
you know, sulking about that he's not going on a 60 city tour for what, like pillows and beer.
I, she cannot break up with this man soon enough.
and I am like, this, this has got to end.
This needs to be over.
And, I mean, thankfully now it is over.
But there's like, now there's rumors that Craig was like talking to somebody else before they broke up.
Maybe this is a hot take.
I don't need the forensic accountants to be going over every Bravo couple after they break up.
I don't actually need to know exactly who was DMing whom and when.
And I kind of feel the same way about this Carl and Lil's situation.
First of all, like, Lil seems like a weirdo.
That's separate.
I don't really love her energy.
She shows up to Carl's, like, soft bar friends and family event, wearing this matching set
that she tells Carl she made herself.
And I just want to say, we know.
You can tell that she made it herself because it looks like shit.
It's like when, I don't know, maybe like when you're a kid and you're, you know, you're a kid and
your mom is like buying new sheets for for the bed or whatever and she's like oh like do you can play
with the old sheets and like do whatever you want to them and you just like cut them up and like make
a skirt that's what it looks like lill is wearing girl we know you made your own clothes she's like so oh
if i'm not careful you'll see the safety pins like go to the store go to the mall or like take
a sewing class but she her energy is weird she's talking to carl she's like yeah so we met last
summer because he was going to NYCFC games with my dad. So then he and my dad got close and then
I slid into his DMs. And then we started talking. And, you know, I do, I respect the hustle
of Gabby's ears perking up and being like, see you met last summer. Last summer. When he was still
engaged to my, my best friend, Lindsay. Interesting. Interesting. Obviously,
It's Gabby's job on this show at this point, basically, to source information and report back to Lindsay.
That is kind of like the main thing that she does on this show.
But then the way that Lindsay handles this information, it just bums me out a little bit.
Because Lindsay's whole thing this season has been, I am so happy.
I am so good.
I am so thrilled to be pregnant and to be moved on from that weirdo loser.
Carl, who I never actually liked in the first place.
Like, revisionist history, but fine.
She's like, I, you know, I've got a new man.
I've got a new life.
I've got a new baby on the way.
Everything's going to be good.
I literally couldn't care less.
I have no interest in what Carl has going on.
It's barely even a thing.
It's not going to be an issue for us to be in the same house.
Why are you acting like that's weird?
And then the second that a piece of information is placed on her doorstep,
Lindsay goes into like activated like Nancy Drew with a gun mode.
It's like she needs to get to the bottom of it and also needs to confront him about it and is like, oh my God, he's been saying he's the victim and I've been the villain and now he's a manipulator and a gaslighter and I am going to light his ass up.
And now I'm going to add that he's a cheater to his resume.
It's like, okay, first of all, we know Lil sent him a DM.
Lindsay says she saw a DM on his phone of somebody sending a phone number.
It doesn't seem like she has proof that that's Lil, whatever, either way.
Is that cheating?
I don't know.
I don't want to be like the infidelity apologist over here.
But like, to me, that's a lower crime than getting your toe sucked in the,
in the foresum. And even that, I think, is falling into questionable territory. So I do feel like
Lindsay is, A, jumping to conclusions a little bit here. But more importantly, she's also kind of just,
I think, showing her hand a little bit and revealing whether she wants to or not that, like,
respectfully, I don't think you're as 100% moved on as you want us to think you are. Because
I believe that Lindsay is, you know, happy that she's not with Carl anymore.
I believe that she is excited about this next chapter of her life.
And, you know, she has a beautiful baby now.
She's focused on that.
But I also don't believe that she is like 100% over it in like wishing him well, not giving a fuck way.
Because it's obvious.
I mean, it's just factually watching this episode.
Lindsay gives a lot of a fuck about what Carl has going on.
And I just want her...
Actually, I'm a little conflicted.
Because for her, for Lindsay as a person,
I want her to literally not care about this.
Like, the healthy thing to me would say,
oh, that's weird.
I thought maybe something was going on.
Thank God I got out of there.
Onward and upward.
But the TV watching Summer House recapping part of me is like, okay, good, something's going to happen.
Because I think that is kind of the question this season has been like they're both acting.
Lindsay and Carr like everything is so fine.
And it's like, but is it really?
Are we, can we just like, can we have like one fight?
Can we just argue like one time?
And it's like everybody's been so on their best.
behavior and like Carl's participating in the gender reveal in a way that is just like kind of
chilling to me and Lindsay is you know announcing her pregnancy and everybody's so happy for her
and like the timeline is a little condensed but we're not really going to go there. It's felt a little
bit like still just walking on eggshells and like if Lindsay has these feelings I'm glad that
we're going to see them. I don't know. The Lil and Carl thing I'm like I don't
I don't really care to get worked up about the timeline here,
but I suppose I am glad that we are going to see sort of some heightened energy with Lindsay and Carl,
because I do think that has been a little bit lacking.
And it would be weird if this season had gone off with no tension between them,
with no real kind of stakes between them,
because it has just felt sort of like that's the thing that we're sweeping under the rug.

to Be. Use us directed. Jesse and Lexi are sort of the other
main dynamic that's in the spotlight this week.
And Jesse, my man, you have really mucked this up for yourself.
Because last week, that whole episode, I'm sorry, for anyone to act like he was not flirting
with Sierra, the entire shipwrecked party, they keep going back to the footage, they keep
showing us the clips.
And it's like, nothing could be more blatantly flirtatious than you're laying on.
on this blow-up raft together, and you're like, oh, it's kind of turning me on.
And she's like, what, like my leg?
And he's like, yeah.
And he's like laying on top of her.
And they're kind of like grinding together at a certain point.
And he literally is saying that if last summer she had met him before she met West,
like everything about his behavior at that party was flirtatious.
Now, is that saying that he was trying to sleep with her or he was considering it or he
wanted to, you know, be unfaithful, whatever to Lexi, whatever that means, wherever their
relationship is, not necessarily.
Like, you know, two plus two doesn't equal eight, but like, it is obvious that he was flirting.
And so this week, it's a little bit, it's a little bit silly to me when he's, like,
pretending that that didn't happen.
But then on top of that, there's also the toe-sucking.
And the way that this kind of game of telephone gets back to Lexi was so funny to me because we have to rely on Imral and Bailey.
Bailey, who's like technically a friend of this season, but I don't think has been there since the first weekend.
And when she showed up to the soft bar party, I actually had to like go back and remember who she was because she's like basically not in the season.
but I guess her one contribution is, you know, passing the baton of the toe-sucking knowledge
because that's how Lexi finds out at this kickball game.
The girls are sitting around and she's like, oh, yeah, like, you barely even see her.
I don't even know if they had Bailey miced up.
Like that's how much she's not on the show.
You basically just hear like a ghost voice say, and he got his toe-sucked.
And then Lexi is really, you know, off to the races there.
And this is after we have seen Jesse and Lexi go on this date.
They're on some rooftop by the Empire State Building, you know,
love a midtown rooftop bar on a hot summer day when it's also going to rain,
you know, A plus choice of venue.
Jesse brings her flowers and he's asking if she'll be exclusive.
And he specifically says that he hasn't, you know, been with it.
He's been exclusive to her since they met.
And he's like talking this big game.
And of course, this is like peak dramatic irony because Lexi has no idea what has happened this week that she wasn't at the house.
Jesse doesn't know how this is all going to unfold.
Meanwhile, we're sitting here like, it's like Chekhov's Toesk.
We know this information is going to come out.
We know that she's not going to be happy about it because we saw it in the preview.
And so we just have to watch this scene of them being like, I'm so happy to be exclusive with you.
Yay, me too.
Normally I wouldn't care that much.
And Jesse's like, I do just want to let you know that some people thought that I was being flirtatious with Sierra.
But that wouldn't happen because I want to be with you.
And it's like, oh, brother, this isn't, this isn't going to go well.
And the conversation that Jesse and Lexi ultimately have at the end of the kickball game is just like so predictable.
And I do just, I want to like, I want to shout out Lexi here because
the energy between Jesse and Lexi has been a lot so far this season
and I haven't always enjoyed it
but in this scene
she just is like she's right about everything
and Jesse is like so
he's just like such a boy
like when she she's asking him
she's like do you get how that would mess with my trust a little bit
and Jesse is like
sure sure sure sure it's just like man wrong answer just like say say yes say you're so sorry say
you know like jesse is so in his own mind convincing himself of his own version of what happened
that he's like the to suck is not a big deal that doesn't mean anything it's not sexual
uh flirting with sierra that didn't really happen if it looks like it did it's just because
were friends, it was just a thing between friends. He is, if he really wants to have a relationship
with Lexi, which literally 20 minutes ago on the show, you took her to a, you know, probably
overpriced rooftop bar and asked her to be exclusive with you, you have to actually think about
what that entails and what somebody like Lexi, what a young woman who is coming on to
this platform for the first time is going to actually expect.
from that. And knowing that, like, yeah, the to suck is going to be at least a question mark,
if not a big red flag. And the flirting with Sierra is probably even worse. And especially the comment
about if last summer, if Jesse had met Sierra before West did, things would have gone differently.
That is like a, first of all, it's a wild thing to say because of everything that's happened with
West and Sierra as West's like best friend. But also it's just like that is the thing that is
going to mess with Lexi's trust the most because Sierra is still in the group. She's still in
house. She's always going to be there. There isn't going to be a Jesse and Lexi scenario where
Sierra's not at least in the background somewhere. And just like thinking about, you know,
situations that I've been in or that anyone has been in, it's like it's going to take so much work
on Jesse's part to actually get that little thought out of Lexi's head of, oh, is he actually
thinking about Sierra?
Is he wishing that things had gone differently?
You know, is there a risk that they're going to get drunk and hook up one time and I'm not
going to be there for a weekend and something's going to happen?
It just feels like Jesse is really not realizing kind of the position he's in and the emotional,
you know, labor that's going to be.
going to be required to actually make this relationship work. And I mean, based on, based on recent
evidence, it seems like the relationship doesn't work, didn't work, isn't going to work.
And after watching this episode, I'm not surprised. Like, the tow suck is one thing, but the
CR stuff, it's just like, how do you come back from that? The only other thing I really want
mention before we wrap up. The soft bar event, it was like a friends and family event at a house in
New Jersey, but the bar is going to be in Brooklyn. And it hasn't opened yet, but this was last summer.
Look, I don't want to be shady about the business side of things. I know that it takes a long time.
But I'll let everyone else in the cast kind of have their own thoughts about that. I love that, like,
Paige, Jesse, West, everyone has the exact same energy when they're talking about that.
the soft bar, which is like, I think this might be a really bad business idea, but I'm so glad
Carl has something he's excited about. He, I'm so happy he has a thing. And he might lose a lot of
money. This might not go well. Maybe Lindsay was right. But like, isn't it so nice that he has like a
thing that he is like, that he's like excited? And I guess I guess that's enough for now. He's put in
100k of his own money. I wish him all the best with the soft bar event. But the funniest thing that
happened at this event to me is that Carl's mother, Sharon, is there. Sharon, you know, at this point,
a summer house OG herself, you know, we've seen her, we've loved her, we've enjoyed her presence
for years. But she says something so wild when she is talking to West and Jessie. Because this is
the first time we've seen her on the show since Carl and Lindsay's
Big old breakup.
And she says, yeah, you know, it's been a rough year since the breakup.
You know, she was mean to me, too.
Sharon!
Oh, Sharon.
Sharon talking shit about Lindsay to West and Jesse on camera when Carl's not even there
is just like peak.
I'm a woman in my 60s and I don't have any fucks left to give energy.
like you have moved on so far
Carl is opening his soft bar
he's he's talking to lemur girl
his horizons are wide open
also he was the one who broke up with Lindsay
I think one of the funniest things that I feel like
gets sort of glossed over
in the whole Carl and Lindsay situation
is like the amount of time we spend acting
like Carl is the one who's like the most wounded and has the most kind of like work to do.
And it's like he was the one who ended the relationship.
Like Sharon, you don't get to be a year later salty about the woman that your son was supposed to marry and then broke up with maybe not having the best things to say.
Like it's just Sharon, Sharon, Sharon.
Love to see her.
Love when she makes an appearance.
I love like, we really have a lot of good parents on Summer House compared to a lot of the other shows.
Like Vanderpump Rules, it was like, when like Sheena's mom was around, Erica, it was always a little weird.
When like, oh my God, Stasi's mom, Dana, nightmare status.
Like, I'm sure she's lovely woman, but like Brittany's mom.
Like those parents had a little bit of like darkness around them.
The Summer House parents, I like to see them.
I feel like it's a good time.
They're a little bit shady.
They're a little bit, you know, they tell it like it is.
Thinking back to like when Kyle and Amanda were getting married, some of the conversations
with the parents there.
I like the parents on Summerhouse.
Maybe we should, you know what they should do?
We should have like a Summer House parents weekend where everybody's parents come at the same
time because I do believe that people would not get along and I think that would make good
TV.
So maybe just, you know, if we're doing Summer House trip to the Ozarks, as West suggested
last week. Maybe next season, also a Summerhouse Parents Weekend. We got to, we got to freshen
it up. We got to add some new things to the mix. And I think we have some good ideas, you know,
percolating. So if anyone from Summerhouse production is listening, Parents Weekend,
Ozarks Trip, those are my requests for season 10 of Summer House. But thank you so much,
everyone for listening. That's going to do it for us this week. You can rate review,
