Hey everyone, welcome back to the Mentioned at All podcast and another Friday episode and big news.
Bethany Frankel is in Burning Man.
Oh my God.
We have so much to talk about.
I'm so glad you're here.
Make sure you are subscribed to our YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash at Bravo by Betches.
We have had some fun stuff going on on the feed.
Earlier this week, we had my good friend Gibbs and Johns on the show on Tuesday to talk about all things housewives, girls trip, OC, Atlanta, everything you could want to talk about.
And then on Wednesday, we had our final episode of this season of Mention It All Island time.
Chris Burns and I were back on the couch after like six weeks to talk about the Love Island
USA reunion.
And what a time it was.
Whether you've watched the reunion or not, I think you could take it or leave it, but we kind of caught you up on everything.
And now that this season of Love Island is in the books, who knows what?
what will come next. Will I ever think about those people again? Probably not. I hope not. I don't know.
It's, it's, it's, it was fun while it lasted. But now it's done. Next week we have Rowan Hensheap from
NextGen, NYC coming on the show. So again, make sure you're subscribed wherever you listen or watch
so you don't miss that. But here we are. Like I said, Bethany's at Burning Man.
fresh off of her three-week run of the pop-up supermodel cafe in East Quag where people were, you know, asking why are the bagels so small and why can't, why is their gold leaf on everything?
Um, she, she's a Burning Man. And the thing is like, Burning Man to me, I never, I never like to yuck anyone else's yum.
I think that we should all do whatever makes us happy in life.
But everything I've ever seen, heard, or learned about Burning Man has been against my will.
And truly no human experience on planet Earth sounds less appealing to me.
You're in the desert, in the middle of nowhere, with wind swirling in the air,
harsh conditions, no cell phone service, or at least I didn't think so, but clearly Bethany's
phone is working. You are surrounded by some of the most insufferable people on planet Earth.
You have to trade for things. You're expected to stay up all night. And it just is, I can't imagine
in anything I want to do less than go to Burning Man.
And it's like specifically, and this is why it's perfect for Bethany,
because it's this vibe of like, I'm not saying this is everyone that goes.
I'm sure there are some people that go that are just lovely.
And that's great for them.
But this vibe of like really rich people who view this as like the one time of year
when we go to the desert and everybody is just the same.
and we can all commune around, I think it's called the Playa, and just dance ourselves clean
and you're, you know, bartering for things and everybody brings something to the,
it's just this communal society and it's this sense of community and almost like a, like,
communism that is so lovely.
but then the other like 3171 days of the year,
those people are some of the most, you know,
aggressive capitalist people you could possibly imagine.
And that is, I mean, that's Bethany to a T.
She is at Burning Man on her Instagram stories right now.
She's like wearing these silver goggles.
Somebody said she looks like Amelia Earhart like went to space.
She's standing on top of an RV in the middle of a windstorm.
talking about something. I don't know. She's, she brought a toaster to Burning Man so she can
toast those like fuck ass hard bagels, you know, got to keep the supermodel brand going, even though
the East Quad pop-up has, um, it's coming gone. All of this to say, something about the Bethany
Frankl experience. We just can't look away. I just can't quit her. And I am so sick of talking about
Bethany Frankel, but at the same time, she just keeps coming up with new, new and surprising ways
to add to her lore. And you got to love it. You know, I'm excited to see what happens this
weekend of Burning Man. When does Burning Man end? When did Burning Man start? Who can really say?
I don't need anybody else's Burning Man content, but Bethany, Bethany looking like a character out of
Dune is doing something for me. Some other news this week. Yvonne from the city had her baby.
That's, congratulations, Yvonne and Nick. Some darker news, which I'm not really going to get into,
but I just want to acknowledge that I've seen it. Kim, Kim Zulsiak and Croy Berman's son got indicted
on some like really nasty charges. And it is just such a, it's, you can go read about it.
I don't want to get into it, but it's like really rough stuff.
And watching Ariana on NextGen NYC and like her being kind of the star of that show and seeing like Briel just had her baby shower the other day.
It's like there's so much stuff going on in their lives and whatever.
And just like the fact that then now they're also dealing with this on the flip side of that.
It's just really upsetting.
I mean, there's no other way to put it.
And like I said, it's not a fun thing to talk about, but that's happening.
I hope everyone's okay.
I don't know.
They also announced the Dancing with the Stars cast this week, which I feel like was a little,
from our perspective, as, you know, reality TV heads, as Bravo Watchers.
It was a little bit of an underwhelming cast announcement, mostly because the two people
that I enjoy the most on the cast this season are Sierra.
and Mora Higgins, who both were previously announced in the summer.
So I'm a little bit like, okay, who else is there?
Jenna Dewan, Harry Shum Jr. from Glee, and he was in crazy Vachasian's like a tiny bit.
He was supposed to be like the main guy in the sequel that they, I guess, are just never making.
I don't know what happened there.
But Jenna Dewan, I mean, she's like known as a dance.
Like she's the girl from Step Up.
I already saw she had to put out this whole long quote about how she's like, yes, she's a dancer, yes, she's a performer, but she doesn't know how to ballroom dance.
She's having to learn that from scratch.
And it's actually, she's like doing the thing where it's kind of like when Nepo babies say that actually sometimes it makes it harder.
She's like, actually, I'm having to unlearn some habits that I have from my other styles of dance.
So sometimes it makes it harder to ballroom dance.
It's like, baby, it's okay.
I don't personally really, like, if dancers want to go on dancing with the stars,
dancing with the stars is not like a presidential election.
I'm not worried about whether somebody has like an unfair advantage.
Like, you're competing for a plastic trophy and zero cash prize.
I am so not pressed about whether people have like a little bit of inherent dancing.
Like last year when people were like, Whitney Levitt,
it literally is famous for dancing on TikTok.
It's like, yeah, and have you seen the TikToks?
She's not doing the rumba.
She's like, she's doing the nanae while her baby's like suffering from RSV.
Speaking of Whitney, her husband Connor is on this season for some reason.
I thought he was trying to be a magician.
I guess he's just trying to get attention, which like, you know, got to do what you got to do.
And also the other kind of like nepo dancing with the stars person this season is
one of the Nader sisters, Sarah Jane, Grace Ann, I can't.
The Nader family, they do not spark joy for me.
I'll just say that.
But I get that Dancing with the Stars has different categories of priority.
Because obviously they do go after some really, you know, like trending people.
Like having Sierra on this season is a slam dunk.
They got Amber Glenn, who, you know, was at the Olympics,
this year. They're always going to have some of those slots. And in the last, you know, few years,
they really have started incorporating more of the like Hulu reality that world. And so having somebody,
having Whitney and Jen on last season, that made total sense. But then it's like this season,
the Hulu reality talent that we have on Dancing with the Stars is like the second most
famous Nader sister and Whitney Levitt's husband.
And I just feel like if they're really committed to the bit of having the, of this being, you know, like corporate synergy, are the, are the people that we actually care about not wanting to do this?
Where's, where's like Alex Cooper?
Chloe Kardashian should be on Dancing with the Stars.
Maybe she already was like 10 years ago, 15 years ago.
I just think, I mean, what about Stasi?
is she so busy
you know begging her friends to be on season two of House of Stasi
that she couldn't have carved out time to learn to dance
I just feel like if we're going to devote
spots on these casts
to people from the universe we need to get the people from the universe
that at least are like semi interesting
now don't come for me and say that that Nader sister
is actually really interesting because I just
frankly don't believe you
She is paired with a woman who, I think that's the, no, JoJo Siwa did that.
So it's not even the first.
She's not a trailblazer.
That Nader sister is no trailblazer, whichever one it is.
I should move on because I probably won't even be watching Dancing with the Stars this season because I usually don't.
Let's talk about Real Housewives' Ultimate Girl's trip.
This week was a fun episode.
And now that we are kind of at the mid-ish waypoint,
through this season. This is episode four. We've made it to our third stop on the cross-country
tour. I am really having a good time with this show. And I've heard some people have kind of mixed
opinions about whether it feels like there's enough going on, whether it kind of has value on its own,
or it's just kind of, oh, we're seeing a bunch of old faces. But I actually feel like there's
kind of a lot happening on this show because, of course, part of the fun.
of this season is just seeing such a melting pot of all the housewives from different eras and
different cities coming together. But there also are like some, some, a few different storyline
threads that now we've followed over the course of multiple episodes. And I feel like for a season
that could be as disjointed as, as this, I, this is better than I was expecting in terms of
stuff we're following. I mean, first of all, Vicky is still, you know, the, the, the, the, the,
least valuable person in the group, I think it's safe to say. We start out, we're in Atlanta at the
start of the episode and Luann and Vicki still aren't really enjoying each other, you could say.
Luan is complaining that while they were like on their way to, you know, just in the car somewhere
or whatever, Vicky was like, Luan was singing and Vicki's like, let's play the quiet game.
Now, I do think this is funny.
I like when Vicky is like this in a way that's like funny and shady.
What I don't like is when she just says like, everybody go to bed.
Suggesting that Luann play the quiet game is kind of just right from Vicky.
I would love more of that.
But then, you know, she's also, she's still complaining about Lou, you know,
Kyle's in the red light mask while they're getting ready.
And she's like, she's singing too much.
She's singing all the time.
So annoying.
And that's the thing that's like, Vicky is like genuinely just so annoyed by Luann.
And I don't know.
I mean, at least Vicky is like participating this episode.
She does tell us that she has never watched Real Housewives of Atlanta, which,
am I surprised?
No.
Am I taking note of that?
And does it tell me something that I suspected?
Yes.
I mean, anybody.
anybody who is in the world of Housewives,
who has watched Housewives,
who has not taken the time
to explore the world of Atlanta,
it's like, first of all,
I mean, do you not love yourself?
Like, it's truly some of the best television
that's been created, I believe, in the 21st century.
But also it's like, okay, I know exactly who you are.
I see you, we see each other, perhaps.
It tells me a lot of information.
And I do really,
like seeing Teresa and Lisa Barlow having fun together.
Teresa's like, you know, laughing with you, Lisa, it's a fresh of breath there.
And I love that.
And this is like a classic Teresa is, you know, we get a really good.
Gia has a little bit of a Teresa moment on this week's episode of NextGen, which we'll
talk about later.
But she specifically, they're talking about how Georgia called shy a clown.
and Georgia is claiming that that was a compliment.
She's like, no, no, no, like, you're really funny.
And she is like, it's not a compliment to call somebody a clown.
And George is like, well, no, no, no.
So, like, I meant like, um, like, jester.
Like, that's what I meant.
And somebody else is, somebody's like, that's worse.
And she is like, wait, what's jester?
And so she, she's in the conventional, she goes, what, what does jester mean?
And Siri is giving her the definition of gesture, like G-E-S-T-E-S-E-E-S-E-E-E-S-E.
U-R-E, and it's like a movement with the hand, whatever, and Gia's listening to this, and she's just
like, oh, okay, gesture.
And it's like, no, baby, what are we doing?
Like, it's one thing if you don't know the word off the top of your head, but when Siri is
reading you the definition of a very different word that is even more commonplace, wouldn't
you realize like, oh, no, that's not the word I meant.
It's just reading.
Children are being left behind.
Reading is fundamental.
Come open the libraries.
Come on.
Gia should really look into getting a library card.
I don't know.
I'm sure Jersey City has a lovely public library if they're still funding for that.
I'm a big fan of the New York Public Library.
You can request the books.
You can get the e-books.
You don't even have to go to the library.
Everybody should be partaking in their local library.
Support the library.
They need our help now more than ever, and I think some of our Bravo Leberties are evidence of that.
But no, we're in Atlanta on girls' trip, I digress, and we start off with just like a wonderful montage of some of the most iconic, most hilarious, just like this montage of Atlanta moments makes my heart so warm.
Because that is, you know, this whole show is supposed to be a celebration.
of 20 years and getting to see all of these women and icons and, you know, veterans of housewives
get their flowers is just, it fills my heart truly so much. And of course, that is anchored by
the fact that Nini is back. And they start out in Atlanta at this drag brunch. And it's mostly just
the women from the girls' trip cast. And Portia tells everyone that Fadra is going to be there. So that's
fun, but the big surprise is that Nini is going to pop out on the stage.
But before we get there, I love that. So everybody is, you know, when you go to a drag brunch
and you're bringing a bunch of straight women into that kind of space, you know, I have experience
with this. You never quite know exactly how it's going to go. You're like, sometimes you're
kind of having to give the tutorial. It's like, okay. So like, you know, here everybody takes some
dollar bills. Like, this is kind of the etiquette. Like, we're going to have a lot of fun.
Like, maybe they might interact with you a little bit. And, like, that's great and just, like,
have fun. And I was, like, bracing myself for there to be some kind of issue with Vicky,
you know, being like, a dog green. What's going on? They're all over. It was fine. You know,
I loved that Luann. Luann was wearing one of her classic kind of, like, Captain Pilot hats.
And when Fadre sees her, she goes, ooh, you're giving Captain of the Meal, girl.
I don't think that's a compliment.
But they have drag impersonators of each woman on the show.
Some, I would say, a little more accurate than others.
But I guess it's the thought that counts.
But Nini pops out on the stage and it is truly so sweet to see how excited everyone is just to have Nini around.
Kyle runs up on stage to hug her.
you know, Luan is really excited to see her.
Even Vicky is like, I've missed you,
even though she's, you know, never watched the show that Nini is so iconic for being on.
Whatever.
Not the point, I guess.
But it's just like there is such a universal acknowledgement of Nini's place here.
And I think it's exciting and heartwarming to see that because there have been so many eras and so many.
franchises and new women and stars that have come up in the time since Nini and and you know even
all of Salt Lake like Lisa Barlow feels like it's just like an honor for her to even be there and
and I think that that is like a good you know energy for her to bring but it just is like across the
board nobody would ever question Nini being on that Mount Rushmore really and so to have her there
it really is meaningful. And, you know, it's, we get some different kind of like stories and
moments and things. And they talk about Greg, Nini's husband, who passed away a few years ago. And
this was making me emotional because Nini talks about how she and Greg went on a double date with
Kyle and Maricio. They flashed back to it. It was 2011, 15 years ago. And so, you know,
she feels like their family and she knows that Kyle and Maricio like aren't together right now,
but that she always, you know, Greg loved them and all of that.
And it's just like, it's such a nice moment.
She even brings out her, her boyfriend, Yanni, who I was like, oh, okay.
Like, Nini's, like, showing us a little bit of her life that I wasn't necessarily, you know,
she's coming on this show as a guest.
Like, there's no, there's no expectation of her to be, like, open about her personal life.
It's really just, like, we want you to come be part of this.
So it's good to see, you know, Vicky is.
very turned on by the presence of Yanni that I was not expecting. And after watching this week's
episode of O.C., which we will talk about, I'm like, okay, you know that her man, Mike was probably
not happy if he watched this episode. He's like, he's like, Mickey, why are you on the television
act and, you know, all sexual and all that? I can just see how that conversation went down. They
probably didn't watch it, but, you know, if they did, that wouldn't have been good. She would have
had to reset the counter on how many days it's been since she pissed him off. She's not
getting that ring. Let me just tell you that. But, um, no, the one thing is that Giselle,
Giselle brings up some, some thing of, Nini saw Karen Huger in L.A. and was telling Garen
to beat Giselle up. I, um, I respect that Giselle has to, has to do her little, has to do her little, um, you know,
figure out the drama, get in there, but it's also just like, girl, not right now. Nini just got
back here. We're all having a good time. He's like, I was kidding. I don't know. I was just,
we were just talking shit and drinking together. And I'm like, when was Karen drinking? Is she supposed
to be drinking? How long ago was this? Is this post jail? I don't know. That night they have
this alter ego party, which is like a rehash of that photo shoot that they did on Atlanta way back
in the day. And we cut off in the middle of the party.
but so we don't have the Atlanta OGs on this episode.
But there's a bunch of women there from Potomac, Ashley, Candice, Robin, and Stacey.
And then Angie, Heather and Mary are there from Salt Lake City.
So they've really, they've used this Atlanta event as kind of like, all the miscellaneous housewives that we're not visiting.
They can come here, which is just kind of fun.
It's like a good assortment.
The alter ego outfit assignments, I,
I'm a little confused.
I, okay, I know this wasn't the initial photo shoot on Atlanta,
but I was kind of hoping they would all be, like, dressed up as other housewives.
I thought that would have been, like, a fun, maybe, like, potentially shady theme
to make them dress up as.
But instead, we have, like, Stacey's just wearing a red wig and claims that she's Tyra Banks.
Ashley is in her ash ton of pussy drag, male drag that she's done.
at this point like five times.
And Vicky is in a Jackie O costume that is like so bizarreo.
The wig is really, it's really tough.
She needed Porsche to get her one of those go naked units.
Could we not have hooked a sister up?
It is so, it's tough.
But also like, Vicky wearing a wig is just, she doesn't.
look at home in this, in this ensemble. I'll just say that. But there's some drama because
Giselle feels like when Kyle got mad at her over the Mauricio stuff, that she actually should be
directing that at Ashley. And Kyle waste no time with that. She sees Ashley in her male drag. And she's like,
is that, is that that girl, Ashley? Oh, I should go talk to her. And she's like, I don't actually
know, I don't know Ashley at all. But, you know, it just didn't. It just,
It's weird to me that anybody in this Bravo world would be saying something about, you know, my husband and Ashley's like, well, sorry.
I didn't know.
When I saw your ex-husband and Kyle's like, uh-uh-uh, ex-husband, we're still married technically.
It's like, at this point, again, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but it's like, they've been separated for three years.
She's like, we're not legally separated, but we're not together right now.
And it's like, what is the expiry?
Like, this is a real question.
What is the expiration date on right now?
Because when you say, oh, like, what are you working on right now?
That implies that it's like a task that I'm doing currently and then it will be completed at some point.
But when you say my husband and I are not together right now and it is an open-ended window of separation that has already elapsed,
three years.
You haven't been together since, you know, we were still, you know, we had a different president the last time you were together.
At a certain point, you're not together right now, nor have you been any time recently.
I just, I don't think that necessarily Ashley, you know, would it be cool for her to like try to fuck Maricio?
sure. No, I guess there's a broader sense of girl code among the housewives. But like,
flirting with him on camera, who cares? We are in our 40s, 50s, 60s, life is too short. You
haven't been with that man since 2023. If Ashley wants to make like one suggestive ha ha comment
on a show, what I do think is really funny is Ashley,
turns around and throws Stacy under the bus, because she's like, well, you know, my, um, my good
sister Stacy, she actually made sure that I stood there until Mauricio walked past. So I could say
something to him. So you should go talk to Stacy. It's like, we are going to pass the buck on this
Mauricio stuff until at a certain point, bring Mauricio out. Just let's talk to him. Like, what's,
what are we doing here? It is so funny to me that this just continues to be, uh,
such a sore subject for Kyle when it's like at a certain point, I think you would have,
you would have more, you know, peace if you just like actually started to move on, rather than
having to like police what half of the Real House House House of Potomacast is saying about your
not ex, but not current husband. Do you know what I mean? If I seem like a hater about
this Maricio stuff, it's honestly more just because like I want Kyle to like, like, I want Kyle to like,
move on with her life. And I can't, I, I, I truly cannot envision her and Maricio getting back
together at this point. So like, what are we doing? That is my question. But Giselle is getting
to work, starting to get to the bottom of the Salt Lake City drama. She's talking to, you know,
Mary and Angie and Heather and downloading them on what
she heard in Beverly Hills and I love that.
So Giselle is dressed as Diana Ross.
She looks great.
Maybe she should lean into just wearing costumes more because it's one of the best
outfits she's worn.
But she has this fake microphone and she is like sitting on the couch talking to Heather
and Angie.
The whole time is like holding the microphone up to her mouth like she's supposed to be
speaking into it.
And it was making me laugh so hard because it went on for like several minutes.
that I'm like, put the microphone on the couch.
Set it in your lap.
She's holding it up like she's doing, conducting an interview.
But she, you know, Angie says that they said at the reunion that they were going to move on.
And so they're supposed to be.
But obviously, Lisa isn't really taking that sentiment to heart.
And they, you know, it's obvious they're not in a good place.
It's not rocket science.
But then after they have this, you know, little conversation,
with Giselle, Heather gets up and she is walking past where Lisa is and they see each other
and I think Heather says hi.
And then they are not really on camera, but they are still in sight of a camera.
But they're like behind somebody else's shoulder.
So the last like minute of the episode, they're like spotlighting them in the background of
a shot.
They're obviously miced up so you can hear what they're saying.
But they're, they basically run into each other at this party and are sort of having a, like, you know, hey, how are you kind of interaction?
And then within seconds, it just is like spiraling into them arguing with each other.
It is so like textbook Salt Lake City that they are in the type of setting where they should be able to completely just put aside for tonight.
for this week for whatever.
You don't have to talk about anything.
You don't even have to know.
There's no expectation that Heather and Lisa are going to have some big sit down at this thing because the point of it is not, you know, Heather doesn't even need to be there.
It's ultimate girls trip.
But they cannot stop themselves from going back into this vicious cycle of, you know, bickering and nagging and whatever.
And I mean, that is part of the sauce that makes Salt Lake City so consistently.
good is that these women can't stop themselves, but it also is just like, man, you are at this
party where Nini is about to be carried in on like a chariot and all of the Atlanta O'Gs are going to be
there. And there are just so many like bigger fish in the pond right now, but the Salt Lake
women just cannot, uh, cannot stop it. And it was a fun way to end the episode. It does make me,
you know, more intrigued to see what's going to happen next week. But all.
also just knowing that they started filming the season of Salt Lake that's coming out in a couple
weeks, you know, pretty soon after the girls trip, I'm like, okay, good to know that everybody
is going to be raring to go when the actual cameras are up for Salt Lake. A fun episode, though,
of Girls Trip. And, you know, I, like I said, I'm really enjoying it. We have a lot of season left,
and I'm excited to see, you know, what they bring for the rest of the season.

Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life?
You know, the same way you can skip an ad?
I get it.
I'm Siaiaa and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned.
And today, I'm still figuring it out.
Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently, that's how I roll.
So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
Stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC Gem.
Okay, let's talk about OC.
I haven't really recapped OC in a couple weeks.
We had Gina and Emily on the show.
So if you're, if you're craving more OC content, I promise it's there.
But that being said, is anyone craving more OC content?
Because this season 20, and I talked about this with Gibson on Tuesday's episode,
this season just doesn't have the juice.
and it's, it's disappointing.
It's unfortunate.
And I feel bad in a way because it's not that I don't like the people on the cast.
You know, I've, you know, I've liked a lot of their work in the past.
Every woman on this cast, I mean, obviously Carmel is brand new, but every woman on this cast has given us plenty in the past.
it's not even that there's no kind of like inklings this season of things that could be interesting.
It just is, it's not coming together.
It's kind of like when you see something on a restaurant menu and all of the like ingredients in the dish sound really good.
It's like, oh, I like that dressing sounds like it should be really yummy.
and I like, you know, I like the toppings on the salad and, ooh, crispy chicken.
That sounds good.
And then the salad comes and it's just like, this was what, a $19 salad.
And it's just so mid.
And, you know, that's a depressing feeling when it's your, you know, office lunch on a Tuesday
and you're like, man, I thought lunch was going to be like yummy.
And it's just kind of like lunch.
But when it's a whole season of Housewives, it's like this is, this slot bowl is what we're getting for the year when it comes to OC.
They're not going to get another chance to cook the meal until a year from now.
If they don't end up going on some kind of pause, and I think especially knowing that this is a milestone 20th season, it's easier to see them potentially taking some kind of.
of pause if this season isn't able to really capture any kind of momentum. And last week,
we already got the mid-season trailer. And, you know, I'm not, I'm not always, you know,
keeping track of how many episodes the season is, whatever, but it's like mid-season,
what have we been doing so far? We're like eight episodes in and it still feels like we,
from where we are, like, story-wise, like, we're kind of just laying the groundwork, and it's like,
oh, no, the building should be in the air by now. Like, like, we should be, um, you know,
topping out the, the construction and starting to add in, like, little decorative elements.
I do feel like the last few minutes has been a little bit, like, sincere from love, like,
I've been putting the metaphors on top of each other a little too much. So let's, let's get back,
back to what we're actually speaking about.
First of all,
Vicky,
she's been tough on this show as well.
And this week,
we learned more about her relationship with Mike.
This guy that she's been with for like four years.
They own a house together.
And everybody in the group suddenly,
it kind of feels sudden, I don't know,
is like, what's going on with this relationship?
Because she told us previously that Mike had bought a ring for her, like a year ago, and has not given it to her.
And then we hear that she told Tamara that, or Mike, so first of all, Mike was in Vegas when they were in Vegas.
And Vicky didn't tell anyone that Mike was in Vegas until they were about to leave.
and he came over to the hotel.
And so Emily's like, why are you treating this man that you are potentially getting engaged to and own a house with like you're a 16-year-old sneaking your boyfriend into the house after mom and dad go to bed?
It's weird.
But we're getting more and more, you know, info about how he doesn't really want to be on camera very much.
He really doesn't want her to be discussing their relationship or particularly.
her sex life on camera.
Like he got angry because she had said something about taking,
taking his pants off or something.
And then somebody else tried to reference it in Vegas.
And she's like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I don't talk like that.
I don't know why I said that.
Blah, blah, blah, blah.
Total like Vicky manic behavior.
She brings him to Vegas at the very last minute after, like, keeping it a secret.
And then we, we find out that Mike told Tamara that the reason they haven't gotten engaged yet,
is because they're trying to make it to 90 days without Vicky pissing him off,
and they keep having to reset the counter.
Like you're working at a fucking nuclear energy plant,
and it's like how many days on the wall without an incident?
And all the women are trying to theorize,
what is Vicky doing to make him so mad that they can't make it to 90 days?
And ladies, I would just like to say, if this is the kind of system that your man is setting up for you,
run for the hills.
Don't, what are we doing?
Don't, this is not the man you want to marry.
It's one thing to say, we're waiting until, you know, X milestone or, you know, date and time and whatever that we want to get engaged.
You can do whatever you want.
Like, get engaged or, you don't.
don't, Vicky's like 64 years old. If she doesn't want to get married, who cares? It literally doesn't
matter. But the fact that you are talking about your partner in the way of like, she's only
getting that ring if we can get to 90 days. And so far, she ain't made it past 45. So she's still
in the doghouse until further notice. It's like, ew. Why would I put up with that? What could be
so positive about this relationship that it's canceling out the fact that he's talking to you
like you're a dog who hasn't earned the privilege to sleep on the bed yet. It's really off-putting
to me. I don't know. I don't like it. And this episode, we see them at home. He's like cooking
dinner for them and, you know, they're talking about how, you know, Vicky still is working all the
time and she, you know, has been saying for three years that she's going to slow down and
wants to spend more time in Mexico and she hasn't done it. And look, I mean, the Vicky working stuff,
sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's annoying. It is what it is. That's her whole thing. But then
they're sitting down at the table and she's like, oh, we, you know, we said we were going to have
more of like a life talk at some life plan talk, whatever, this week. And now it's this week. And he's like,
well, we're not doing that tonight. And she's like, well, um, oh, uh, and he's like,
I'm still miced up. I can't, blah, blah, blah. And he like leaves the table. And she's like,
oh, he's probably going to the bathroom. It's like, this man doesn't like you that much.
And it's, it's hard because it's like, I, I get, Vicky, like, thinks that he's a great guy and
probably, you know, wants a partner at this point and, and all of that. But it's like,
is this, is that all there is? Like,
I've seen him on TV for like two weeks and I'm not enjoying the experience.
And it doesn't seem like Vicky really is either.
It just makes me sad.
And I mean, that's like Shannon says that she's a little lonely and seeing the women.
Honestly, my favorite part of the episode was seeing the women surprise Shannon at her house for her birthday because I guess she didn't have any plans, which is totally fine.
But they, you know, they just like show up.
up at her house and they bring pizza and balloons and a cake. And it just, it feels like an actual
moment of friendship and care that I feel like this season has been lacking a little bit.
Like this season has felt a little bit like, like homework where it's like, okay, well,
this is the group. We have to hang out. This person's having a party. That person's having a
a party. We'll go to the party. We'll talk. Well, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Like, there's not a lot of, um, there's not a lot of like warmth happening on this season.
in. And so it was nice to see them just like kind of hearing Shannon and doing something nice for her.
And, you know, that was good. But then right after that, we're back to what's going on with the Trace Amigas.
And, you know, Tamara has told Shannon that she wants to hang out one on one. Shannon initially agrees to it.
And then kind of has second thoughts and doesn't want to be alone with Tamara. And so she's like, is it okay?
if I invite Vicky.
And then instead of being any kind of, you know, adult woman dealing with her situation,
Tamara's like, no, fuck that.
I'm going to skip the intimate dinner with Shannon and Vicky and send birthday flowers to Vicky
with a passive aggressive message from Tamara Grudge.
And then I'm going to go at the same time to the Heather and Jen and Carmela drinks.
and I'm not going to tell them that I'm not coming.
Like, I want, a part of me wants to be like, oh, that's iconic, messy housewives behavior.
Like, wow, she sent that note and she just ditched them.
But it's like not 10 minutes ago, we watched you talking about how you want to build back
this friendship with Shannon.
And Shannon is not saying no.
Shannon is simply saying it's going to take me time.
Let me do the baby steps.
And I know that Tamara is good at this, being a housewives producer or whatever, but it's like,
you have to know that ghosting the dinner plans with Shannon is not going to be conducive
to you continuing to try any kind of forward momentum.
So it just, that's the kind of thing that makes it be like, oh, so Tamara doesn't actually give a shit about making things better with Shannon.
But then at Jen's, you know, energy healer picnic two days later, she's going to act like she does.
She's going to act like she's hurt that Shannon didn't want to be one on one with her.
And it's like, the lady told you she wants to take baby steps.
So just let that happen.
Let it happen on her terms.
It will be okay.
But Tamara's the one making it a problem.
Speaking of a problem, can I just say why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why? Why was this week's episode supersized? I press play on the episode, and I was shocked to see the runtime of like 54 minutes, which tells you that it's one of those like hour 15 extra time episodes. And I'm like, oh, there must be, must be a juicy one. There must be something.
a little something extra happening to say, oh, is there a big, is there going to be a big
cliffhanger? Is there going to be a big fight? No, nothing of the sort. I was watching this at my desk
in the office on Thursday afternoon. And, you know, I had it up on my monitor so I can be like
kind of, you know, taking notes, doing other stuff. First of all, I did not need a giant on my
monitor in the office to have Tamara dressed in lingerie bending over. So,
Eddie can spank her while she's trying, you know, on hormones trying to get her,
her groove back. That was something I didn't need. But I just also didn't need 55 minutes of
whatever this is. And the, the Bravo screener platform has, you know, you can control the speed
of the episode, which I think Netflix lets you do that, but Peacock doesn't. So it,
sometimes, just on occasion, I'll be like, what if we just like bump this up a little bit?
You know, I'm trying to, I want to be prepped for my recordings and everything.
So I had initially notched it up to, I think, 1.25.
And I was like, okay, like, this will help me, you know, 55 minutes.
That's a big chunk of time.
I have meetings.
I have other stuff going on.
And then, you know, like, a few minutes, I'm like, okay, like, I'll do 1.5.
Like, you've got to get through.
And then I felt like I had been watching this episode for ages.
And I look, and I was only 20 minutes in to a 54 minute episode.
So you guys, I hate to admit it.
I watched the rest of the episode on 2X speed.
I have a life.
I don't know.
Like, this show, it really, it just kind of feels like they're wasting our time this season.
And I don't know.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do.
And, you know, Jen's spiritual healer, picnic, whatever.
The woman, I can't remember her name, but she goes, she goes, so, you know, you can call me a psychic, a medium, an energy reader.
I'm good with whatever.
And it's like, babe, those are different things.
If you're ever, if you're paying someone that is claiming to be either a psychic or a medium or an energy healer, it's like, pick one.
Pick a lane. What's your, what's your talent? Because I'm like, are you reading minds? Are you speaking to the dead? Are you just kind of like intuiting energy? Are you, you know, Whoopi Goldberg and Ghost? Like, you have to have a, those are, they're different jobs. You could say I'm a psychic medium. But when I just feel like, if you're already, if you're already a professional in a field that is, let's say, maybe not universally
respected, at least really pick one thing and claim to be really good at that one thing.
But instead she's just kind of like, Emily, your kids are doing fine.
Ooh, Carmela, no, just don't be afraid to get burned by the fire.
Oh, everybody else, you'll be fine. Good to go.
I hope Jen did not pay too much for this woman's services. That's all I have to say.
But, you know, Heather and Carmela, they, Heather gets ahead of Carmela finding out that she called her trashy, so that's good for her.

Okay, let's talk next-gen, YC.
Oh, C, I'm sorry.
I want it to be better, but it's not. Right now it's not. We'll see. We'll stick with it.
They're on this ski trip. Things are going down at the ski trip. There's going to be a blizzard. It's looming. But we get in a lot of drama first. We got to catch up on some of the Ariana, Liam, Charlie stuff. First of all, Kendall finally pipes up. She finally
she finally is like, okay, I'm gonna talk to my friend Liam.
And I'm like, thank you.
Where were you last episode?
She's like suss about Ariana's behavior dealing with Charlie,
which like, I just don't know if it's the best strategy to be like making your first big impression on this show.
And it's sort of like not being like a total girl's girl, but whatever.
At least she's getting involved.
But things have gotten a little weird with Liam and Ariana.
as we know on last week's episode.
He told her he loved her at about 5 a.m., which is just not super ideal.
But we also flashback to that he brought her one-on-one to his family's house at Lake George.
And I'm like, Rue, when was this?
This whole thing, we didn't, I knew she went to Thanksgiving.
I know she's coming to family Christmas or whatever.
They're like fully playing house, shacking up.
And I do think like, I feel like they sort of buried the lead a little bit about how real this relationship has been getting, which I think if anything does make me understand more Liam's kind of frustration with Ariana's, you know, wishy-washiness over their relationship status.
But, you know, I also think if you haven't specifically defined what's going on, you're always going to leave that gray area.
And so I think it's, it makes sense that there are, are kind of at this point in the relationship where you do need to say, what is the game plan here?
What's the, what are we saying?
What are we sticking to?
Are you going to be smoking at somebody else's house at 2 a.m. alone?
Maybe not.
Maybe that's not.
Maybe that's not.
If we're kissing in a stable while a horse watches us, maybe we are going to be establishing a little bit more, some ground rules.
but Liam really just wants someone else,
aka Amira, to call out Charlie,
so he'll actually listen.
But Charlie has a little bit of a change of heart.
And he talks to his boy Liam on the slopes and is like,
yeah, you know, I thought about it.
And I actually, I do now want to be respectful of Ur and Ariana's like
blossoming whatever.
And I'm like, actually, that is so big of you, Charlie.
I love to hear it.
Um, he says that he changed his mind after Gia explained to him on the ski lift that Ariana and
Liam are exclusive. And he's like, well, someone should have told me that. I would have felt
different. And then we cut to the footage of him being told that exact same thing last night.
I feel like that's just because he was like drunk the night before and probably wasn't
super paying attention. Or also, he just didn't care. And that is, that is just as simple. But he,
he says that he's doing this now because he wants his conscience to be clear so that if
he and Ariana are to hook up, that everyone will know that it's Ariana choosing to not be exclusive
with Liam and not Charlie kind of charging in and disrespecting what they have going on in
their relationship. I'm like, I don't know what kind of like logic game you have going on in your
mind right now, but if it works for you, great. I won't ask too many questions. Meanwhile,
kind of the most, um, the most kind of hard thing going on.
this episode is that Amira is really rethinking her relationship with Charlie. This has been ongoing
for a while, obviously, at the House of Yes thing earlier this season. Amira found out from Georgia,
the things that Charlie had said in the past about her relationship with Kevin and all of this.
And that has been like bubbling under the surface. It's, it hasn't gone away. We see that Amira has
talked to Brooks about kind of how to feel about Charlie. We see Amira and Kevin talking about it.
and Kevin, you know, they're basically both just telling her to trust her gut.
And the thing that, um, the thing that kind of, I feel like sets the next piece of this emotion
is that Georgia and Charlie, they have had an ongoing kind of rift all season because Georgia
thinks that Charlie is stealing the creative for club club.
Um, and, you know, even though he's not doing bowling, whatever.
And we finally see them kind of squash this.
Charlie's like, I'm not doing bowling.
It's just a nightlife thing.
And George is like, okay, I guess.
I guess we can kiss the makeup over this.
And Amira seeing Georgia just kind of bury all the hatchets with Charlie when, in theory, Georgia was supposed to have an issue with Charlie over how she was speaking about their dear friend Amira and her relationship.
And Amira once again is seeing this and saying, okay, so.
now I'm just collateral damage in this whole thing.
And nobody actually was concerned about my feelings or my well-being or any of that.
Everything was just a tool being used in some bigger game.
And so Amira's really upset.
She's, you know, crying in her room while Georgia's twerking upside down on the wall.
And so Amira then pulls Charlie to talk privately.
And I do, I think it was classy of her to do this privately.
I don't think she needs to because Charlie's not.
a classy person.
But she talks to him privately and basically is just like, look, right now, the stuff that
I know about, I'm having trouble letting it go.
And because of that, I need to take space from our friendship.
And, you know, he, I do think Charlie over the course of this season has appeared to exhibit
a little bit of growth and a little bit more thought put into some of the things that
he is saying. And overall, I was not, this conversation went a little better than I was expecting
it to. I feel like Charlie is really, you can see that he does value Amira's friendship. You can
see that this relationship does mean something to him. But at the same time, the whole point of what
Amira is saying is that right now, this isn't really a you thing. It's not really a Kevin thing.
it's not really a Georgia thing.
This is about what I need.
And right now, what I need is some time away from basically having to think about this.
And so I really respect Amira for setting this boundary.
I, you know, honestly, you know, I think Charlie did a good job of respecting the boundary for now.
We'll see how that goes.
I'm really interested to see like what shape this whole situation takes when we get to the reunion.
in particular, but also Charlie having this whole conversation in this like polar bear ass turtleneck.
Oh, God, what these people wear at Georgia's reunion look, by the way.
I kind of love her.
She just, you know, aside from this Amira thing, it's, it is funny.
But also, her issue with shy and she's like, well, if you don't want to be a jester, then why are you pulling your pants down on the mountain?
It's like, first of all, whatever happened to fun?
Like, you know, Lexi Featherstone on Salt Lake City, like smoking in the window.
Whatever having to fun?
But also, I think it's okay for Georgia to just admit that maybe she doesn't like shy.
And sometimes it's as simple as that.
He rubs her the wrong way.
She thinks he's annoying and that's fine.
But we're back in the city.
Georgia's having trial pitch meetings for her cleaning product.
And she tells the like consultant guy that she's meeting with that her medium said that this is one of her winning lottery tickets.
in her life. And he's like, okay, so that's not going to make me want to invest. But see,
that's why you have a medium. So they can tell you advice like that. See, Jen,
a media, Jen Padranti should meet with Georgia's medium. That's what I would say. She also
asked Seth Marks for business advice. And he goes, you are the Ralph Lauren of household
cleaning. And that I think is beautiful. But the kind of like drama that we get left off
with that we tease going into the season finale next week. It's already here.
is that after rebuking Shai's attempt to kiss her in Las Vegas,
Ms. Ava Dash has had a little bit of a change of heart.
And she goes to his pop-up and she's like, why are you,
why are you looking a little, why are you kind of, why are you hot all of a sudden?
And he's like, first of all, rude.
But second of all, like, okay, sounds good to me.
So here's where we're out.
after the pop-up, Liam, Ariana, Eva and Shy go to another bar.
There's a photo booth at the bar.
Ava and Ariana go in the photo booth and kiss each other.
Sexy.
And then Liam and Ariana go in the photo booth together, which leaves Shy and
Ava all by their lonesome.
And they kiss at the bar.
I kind of love it.
I'm kind of here for it.
But then they go, they hit up Charlie.
and they go all four of them in a car to his place.
But then when they arrive at Charlie's place,
Liam is like, I'm going to leave so I can go walk Ariana's dogs.
So then Ariana once again, late at night,
finds herself at Charlie's apartment,
which is exactly what we said we weren't going to do.
And Shy and Eva make out at Charlie's place.
And the producer and the confessional is like,
okay, Eva, so you guys were making out.
what was Charlie and Ariana's vibe when you were at her place?
And she's like, oh, the woman was too stunned to speak.
What's going on?
It is, um, I don't love it.
I just, Ariana, what are we doing here?
Let's just say, I don't think Ariana and Liam are currently together.
And it feels like maybe next week will be another little crack in the foundation.
of this relationship that is maybe not a relationship,
but kind of seems like it is.
But yeah, next gen, I mean, kind of the best show on Bravo right now,
if you think about it.
We certainly have a lot to consider going into the finale next week.
And I'm very excited.
I am also very excited for everything that's coming up on the show.
So make sure you are subscribed.
Everybody have a great holiday weekend.
Stay safe.
Stay sexy.
Stay, you know, feeling good or whatever.
Make sure you, I already said, make sure you're subscribed.
Yeah, until next time.
cool. Don't be all like uncool.
