Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, both.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer.
Thank you so much for joining us once again.
It's Wednesday, and today we are starting off the show with a new segment that I didn't anticipate becoming a segment,
but for some reason, we have the material for it today, and it's called Car Accident Corner.
Here we are. We've got two different Bravo Leopardy car accidents to talk about today. I will get to the Vanderpump Rules reunion sooner or later, but first, some news. The first half of car accident corner is pretty distressing, and that is that on Monday of this week, Catherine Dennis was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and also driving with an open container in the car.
Catherine, please.
It was first reported by TMZ.
We got a mugshot too.
She looks okay in the mugshot.
There have definitely been worse.
We might have to add it to the wall, though.
But she was arrested on Monday night after being involved in a three-car collision.
There's not a lot of information about the particulars of this collision,
whether it was, you know, ruled her fault or caused by her.
being under the influence, I'm not sure.
But according to the report, she seemed intoxicated and smelled of alcohol on the scene.
So she was arrested and booked.
It's her first DUI, which if you had asked me, like, for a dollar, is this Catherine
Dennis's first DUI?
I think I would have said no.
But it is her first, apparently.
she was also a suspect in a hit-and-run accident last year.
Nothing really came of that, it seems.
And then, of course, previously, she lost custody of her kids
after she tested positive for marijuana in 2016
and then subsequently went to rehab.
Now, okay, first of all, like,
should testing positive for marijuana really be a criteria
of whether or not you get to have your kids?
I would say no.
she's legal now, at least here.
Maybe not in South Carolina, but whatever.
Suffice to say Catherine Dennis has had her fair share of challenges over the years
and her fair share of, I was going to say roadblocks,
but that seems like a bad metaphor now.
But God, seeing yesterday in the news, this DUI stuff,
it's just a fucking bummer, man.
like getting a DUI is so not worth it and it happens way too often in these Bravo circles come on
obviously Catherine is not on Southern Charm anymore I don't know too much about what she's been up to
day to day I do see her on the gram looking incredibly face tuned for from time to time
but it's just so disappointing because of all the things that can be going to
wrong in your life or that can be sort of out of your control. Drinking too much and getting behind the
wheel is not one of them. And the fact that she was also charged with driving with an open container,
I haven't seen the full report, I don't know all the details, but that certainly seems to imply that
she was drinking while she was driving the car. And it's like, Catherine, please, God. It was reported last,
year that Thomas Ravanaugh, her lovely ex, had full custody of the kids. And I don't know exactly
what their current arrangement has been, but I just, I can't imagine that this DUI is going to be
anything good for her in the kids department, which is sad. I mean, those kids are old enough
to know what's going on. I'm sure, I'm sure that they have had some, some less than
ideal circumstances given the nature of their parents' relationship.
and it just, it sucks.
It sucks that it's continuing down this path.
And I hope that she gets whatever shit she needs to get together together.
But it's just like, you really hate to see it.
You really do.
But anyway, I mean, best of luck to whatever's happening down there in South Carolina.
But over in New Jersey, we have another car accident in the corner.
Melania Judice, this is also on TMZ.
she got in an accident in her brand new Mercedes last week.
Apparently, this was not her fault.
I'm reading from TMZ.
The report says there was disagreement on the scene about who was to blame.
Melania claimed the other driver ran a stop sign,
slowly traveled through an intersection and hit her car.
The other driver claimed they stopped, looked and pulled out,
but still somehow ended up crashing into Melania's vehicle.
That doesn't really sound like you're differing your opinion on what happened.
you're just like, I stopped, I just don't know.
It just, the car came out of nowhere.
And look, I got in a couple little fender benders when I was in high school.
And I feel like that was kind of like my stress response where I'm like, I don't know what happened.
The car just appeared there.
Dad, I'm sorry.
I didn't do it.
Anyway, it doesn't seem like anybody was hurt in this, in this accident.
So I feel like it's okay to laugh a little bit about.
TMZ says the cops seemed to side with Melania, stating that it happened due to the other drivers, quote, inattention and failing to yield to the right of way.
So I guess congratulations.
Congratulations to Melania for not being at fault in your accident.
And I hope that the insurance takes care of any damage to the Mercedes.
And the Judey's family attorney, James Leonard, of course, always working behind the scenes, Jim Leonard.
He said, we are extremely grateful that nobody was hurt.
That's all that matters.
Now Jim can go back to plotting with Jennifer Aiden and whatever fan account about how to ruin everybody else's lives based on the screeners.
Allegedly, allegedly, I don't know if any of that is true.
Oh, wow.
Speaking of cars in the Judey's family, I've been seeing on TikTok over the last week or so,
Gia just bought herself a Porsche, a Porsche.
I think it's Porsche.
If we're doing like the German, I think it's Porsche.
But I love in these TikToks,
there's one of her going to test drive cars with Teresa and that's funny just because you can hear
Teresa being like, oh yeah, smooth. It's nice. I like this one. It's a, oh, it's nice. And then there's
another one of her going to pick up the car like after she buys it. But what's funny to me is that
in these videos, Gia is very clear. She's like, it's my first big girl purchase that I made all
all by myself that I bought for myself, all with my own money.
And it's just funny because, like, I, I don't know Gia Judice's finances.
Like, I'm not here to be like, lie detector.
I don't think that's all your own money.
In some way it is, but I feel like it's like the, the JV version of Kylie Jenner
being a self-made billionaire.
It's like, okay, like, you bought it with your own money because.
you got like brand deals because of the show that your mom is on. I don't know. It's like
Nepo baby. Nepo baby girl math, I feel like is how Gia Judice got that car all by herself.
And look, congratulations to her. I live in New York City. I don't own a car. Otherwise,
if I did, it certainly wouldn't be a Porsche, but a Porsche shop, sorry. But anyway, if you see
Gia whipping down the streets of New Jersey and a Porsche, she brought it all by herself.
God, it makes me think back to last year when there was, when on the show, Antonia was getting her car.
And there were so many like rumors and people on social media being like, I heard the car got repoed.
I heard she didn't even keep it.
I heard it wasn't even real.
And it's like, truly the way that Jersey makes people act up online, I'm like, I just want everybody to drive safe.
I don't care.
Who paid for what?
I don't care. I don't care what kind of car you have. Just like, just no DUIs. Can we set the bar there?
All these Jersey, Jude Ice, Gorga girls, whether or not you're getting along, just don't get a DUI.
Thank you.

We also got the Summer House reunion looks yesterday. I don't, it's a pretty good batch.
I gotta say, I'm looking through, they have a definite color palette, which I feel like is always appreciated.
it's a very um it's a neutral tone a beige a little bit of like a like a lavender like a movi
mavi kind of purple a little bit of champagne cream colors it's interesting to see like
the evolution of the reunion style we have page lindsay and sierra all in very uh very midriff
I would say midriff bearing, but really midriff-centric outfits.
Sierra's in this, like, silky, drapey, gauzy thing that's, like, kind of see-through.
And then there's, like, a little pair of underwear that's, like, poking out one side.
So you can see, like, her hip.
I'm doing an absolutely piss-poor job of describing this.
But it's kind of cool.
I'm kind of really into it.
And I actually think Lindsay looks really good, too.
She has, she's similar in the kind of like dusty purple color and we get like a little triangle
shaped cut out of, of midriff.
She looks great.
Paige I'm a little less sold on.
It's a little bit like Star Wars girl working at the canteena.
Like she's going to like deliver you a message in code and be like long, long live the resistance.
I don't know.
I don't know how many Star Wars fans are listening to this podcast.
I'm not even really a Star Wars fan myself, but you know, Amanda looks good.
she's wearing a little bit of like a off white, high slit, stretchy looking material.
Kyle looks nice.
Importantly, I don't think I realized until now, this reunion is our farewell to Kyle's
mullet.
He's since chopped it off.
If you look at his latest couple of Instagram posts since after the reunion taping,
he is back to a normal, gentlemanly, adult-looking haircut.
And I really love that for him.
He looks good at the reunion too. He's wearing like a
little bit of a sage green
suit.
Danielle's dress to me, I think,
is kind of the weak link.
It's like a sequinny
cowl neck
type of vibe with the
spaghetti strap.
I'm doing my best to be like Tim Gunn here
and like describe the fabrics and the
draping and the
it's tough.
It's tough. Describing clothes is hard.
I think probably the weak link for me has got to be Carl, though.
He's wearing like a white tank and white jeans with some black and white, like, penny loafers.
And then like a zip up jacket, like a, would you call this a bluson?
I sound like I'm like failing my admissions interview to Parsons right now.
But the thing we have to talk about, and I feel like I feel like I.
I have to whisper because I don't, I feel bad.
There has been a lot of chatter over the last week or so.
Okay, sorry, I can't whisper.
Carl got some new teeth.
And my friends, they don't look great.
In fact, they look a little spooky.
I don't know at what point in the last few years.
I feel like there was a turning point in like veneer culture.
where it became a little bit more of a mainstream thing.
And I don't mean mainstream, like, the girl in your office who, like, brings soup for lunch every day is going to be, like, going to get veneers, probably.
But in terms of, like, reality stars, influencers, people that you see online that have, like, a following,
somebody decided that veneers were going to be like a trendy beauty treatment type of thing.
But the thing about veneers, and I'm not a dentist.
I'm not a mouth scientist.
I don't know all the terms.
Getting veneers is so intense.
If you ever see, I don't recommend looking at it.
up, but if you've seen, you know, the like time-lapse video of the process of getting veneers
is so freaky. They're like shaving down your real teeth to little nubs so that they can
fit fake teeth over them. And then if you ever want to get rid of the veneers, you literally
can't. You have to replace them. And they don't, a lot of the time, last
forever, so you do have to replace them because they'll chip, they'll fall off. It is unbelievable to me.
The level of dedication that it takes and the level of money and upkeep there is to get good veneers
and to keep them up and that people treat it like it's the same as like going to get Botox or a little bit of
lip filler. Guys, don't get veneers unless you really, unless you really want them.
But that's the thing. It's one thing if you have like a real fucked up set of teeth. I get it. I get it. But like Carl had a perfectly nice smile. And now they're like they're a little too white. They're a little too big. They're just like a little. It's like uncanny valley. And it's, oh God, I really, if you've listened to me for a while, I don't get on people's appearance.
Like, it's not something that is, like, interesting to me or, like, it doesn't spark joy for me to be like,
this person's looking too thin.
Like, I don't, it's not my jam.
But the veneers, it's like, you chose that.
Oh, God.
Lisa Vanderpump had really rough veneers for a couple years, and I think she still, she still has them,
but I think they've sort of, like, settled in.
I don't know if veneers, like, settle, or maybe if you're, like, if they're a little too big,
first, maybe your lips kind of like start to form a shape around them. Again, like I said,
I'm not a dentist. I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about. Oh my God, though, we've got to
do something about the veneers. If we, if I turn on one more housewives show and on a new season,
somebody's walking in with a big new set of chompers, you know who you are. Get it together.
Don't do it. And I've also seen, oh,
This is crazy.
There is this trend on TikTok that I've seen of, it's not a trend.
It's like a thing that people are doing.
There are veneer techs.
Like you know how there's like a nail tech that can do your manicure?
There are people marketing themselves as veneer techs who are not dentists, who are not
doctors, orthodontists in any type of way, who are offering veneer services on social media
where you can just like book an appointment via DM and go to some like rinky dink office and they'll have a
price list where it's like full set porcelain crown composite veneer 450 please if you if you
listen to anything i ever say don't go to a veneer tech that you found on instagram i mean probably
don't get veneers at all but if you are if you're going to
Dentist. Find a dentist.
Okay.
Oh my God. These people are making me crazy.

I'll get off my veneer soapbox now and talk about what we actually came to talk about,
which is Vanderpump Rules.
Part two of the reunion, honestly, part two's historically a little bit underwhelming.
And I got to say, this one, it's no different.
We're a little bit in the like treading water phase where it's like,
okay we get it like katie vented about ariana one time and la la is mad that she wouldn't do it on camera
we get it that like sandoval kind of sucks and sheena makes things up sometimes it's it's all like
it's a little bit of retread but at the same time we got to do it what else are we here for
this is the part where we get our joe and alley little moment it is weird to me i've seen a couple
people point this out and I totally agree.
From watching this season, the fact that Brock gets to be on the reunion stage the whole
time, treated like a full-time cast member, he gets to weigh in on whatever he wants the
whole day, and Allie only gets trotted out for the same 20-minute segment as Joe,
that doesn't make sense to me.
Like, I get that Allie was not technically a full-time cast member this season, but neither was Brock.
It feels like a strange choice in, like, the direction of the show where, like, if anything, I feel like Allie was more integral to the kind of structure of the group this season than Brock was.
Or at the very least, I feel like they're even, that it's like Brock had a way of driving storyline and his stuff with Sheena.
and I think that Ali had a way of driving storyline in her stuff with James and her stuff with all the other girls in the group.
Like, it just is strange to me.
And I, even during Ali's segment, I feel like we didn't get a ton from her because when you bring her and Joe out at the same time, the Joe stuff is like so mind bending and so like just bizarre that it kind of sucks a lot of the oxygen out of the
room. And so I was, I was like fascinated by the Joe segment of the reunion, but then I also was
just like, it sucks that this is also the alley segment of the reunion. And we're getting like not very
much from her. She talked about her choice to leave the house when James was drinking in the past.
And also said that if James started to drink again in the future, that she would leave him.
I thought that was like, it was really interesting to hear her say that to kind of draw a line in the sand and say like, this is a, this is a condition of our relationship that I have made it clear that I don't like when James drinks and that if that changes in the future, I won't be around.
I think that for James, you know, I can't speak to his internal feelings about sobriety and whether or not that's something that he's serious about maintaining.
in perpetuity, but it does seem like the kind of thing where having those boundaries and those
kind of stakes might be the kind of thing that helps him.
Might be what he needs to really, like, commit to it.
Because if he is serious as he claims to be about his relationship with Allie, then having
that as something that is more important to you than whatever your relationship with
alcohol is. Like, I think that is something that, you know, to each their own, it's not a
one-size-fits-all kind of situation, but like it's going to make it matter more to him.
And also, I mean, I always like hearing about Lala's sobriety and how well she's done with that.
It's been like five years now, which is crazy. I mean, it's crazy that we've been watching these
people for this long, but like, good for her. But man, this Joe situation, it just is like,
every time she and Tom are given a chance to explain it or speak about it or kind of tell us what's up,
it just becomes more and more confusing.
And at the reunion, the fact that this is like months later, and I get that they're maybe
not as close now as they were at the time.
So it's not like, you know, they probably didn't have a real Houseways of New Jersey
pre-reunion meeting at Margaret's house to talk about how they
were going to explain their relationship or lack thereof.
But it still just feels like they're so not on the same page about what did happen,
what didn't happen, the timeline.
I mean, I love when, I love when Joe says that she started staying at Tom's house during the pandemic.
And Katie's like, it wasn't during the pandemic.
And Joe was like, well, I mean, like, the pandemic is still happening.
It's like, babe, like, no, but words have meaning.
Like, if you say he moved into the house during COVID, I feel like that implies that it was like early 2020 through like mid-2020.
That's what when you say during COVID, like we all, please.
But then it's like they're they're talking about how, God, how much they had sex or in the words of this group, how much they were bumping peepies.
And it's like a couple times a week.
Meanwhile, we have people on these shows that are married that have sex like twice a year.
If you're bumping PPs twice a week, you're pretty freaky.
That freak number is high.
And it does feel like we finally get to a place where Tom Schwartz admits that they were basically in some kind of a relationship,
even if they didn't expressly define it as such.
And I guess that's nice.
It just feels like Joe is somebody who wasn't quite ready for all of this.
And by all of this, I mean the scrutiny from the group, certainly the scrutiny from Katie,
but also the whole TV experience and the way that this relationship was going to come across on TV.
and the way that it was going to kind of play out on the show,
I just, I can't imagine that she really knew that that's what she was signing up for.
Because in a way, it makes her look foolish,
and it makes her look like, you know, she was making bad choices for herself.
But also, it does make me feel bad for her.
And when Katie's saying that, that she felt bad for her having that conversation with Schwartz,
and then while she was watching the show,
I know that Joe feels like that's like patronizing,
but I agree that it really feels like even beyond the way that Schwartz was treating her
and whether he was breadcrumbing her, I mean, to each their own,
but like it felt like you were watching somebody who just didn't understand kind of the game
that they were opting into.
And look, Joe seems like somebody who is a cool, a cool girl.
Like a somebody's cup of tea.
And I hope that she can like go find what she wants and needs because I don't think that it's,
I don't think that it's going to be in this TV arena.
And I think that, God, I don't know.
It's like, I don't want to be like, girl, girl by, I never want to see you again.
But at the same time, it's like,
Girl, find what you need.
And I don't think it's this.
I'm enjoying Katie's energy at this reunion when she,
she like kind of copse to the fact that hooking up with Max was like a little bit of,
you know, revenge, retaliation, whatever.
But like in a fun way.
And then she also like confirms without confirming that she hooked up with him again.
And I, I think it's really fun to see that she and Tom Schwartz can like have.
this happening between them and not take it too seriously.
Like, I, they seem to be in a really good place.
And I, compared to earlier in the season and then in San Francisco, when, when Tom made
that like weird proposition to Katie about them like, hooking up for a night, like,
that really gave me the ick.
But it does feel like they have kind of reset back to a place of kind of just not
taking it too seriously.
Like they, they've both done stuff.
to each other. And I feel like now that it is really in the past, they're able to kind of just
like coexist and kind of poke fun at themselves and just like take stock of how far they've come.
And it's nice to see that because obviously we've had some extremely toxic X situations on these
shows. And so it's like when you have a dynamic where it's like, you know what, we were really
shitty to each other for kind of a long time. Sometimes me.
more than you, sometimes you more than me, and we've come out the other side and we can
like coexist.
It's really nice.
It's good to see.
And, you know, with Lala and Randall and Tom and Ariana, it's like, we don't have a lot of
that in this group.
Lala, it's weird to see her try and kind of like explain how her, the way she treated her
break up with Randall and the way
Ariana treated her breakup with Tom
her explaining how that's
like not a double standard is a little
it's a little tough
when she's like
well I don't
if I didn't want him to go play pickleball
but then he was living in the house then it would have
but then it's like
I think I get
where she is coming from
and I think I get
how she's like
arriving at the feelings that she has, but I just don't think that she is actually right.
And so that's like, it's a tricky kind of like Catch 22 where it's like, you're feeling something
that is your own and that's valid, but that doesn't mean that it's actually like a good version,
like the way that everybody else should like fall in line with something. And I think that Lala
obviously there's some weird, like, anger or I don't know if it's, like, jealousy or just, like,
her vibe toward Katie and Ariana feels so bothered.
And it's, like, it's not a good look for her, but I also don't know exactly where it's coming from.
And I do hope that maybe going into next season, whatever that's going to look like, that she can, like,
take a little bit of a step back, take a deep breath, and just kind of, like, be on her own.
journey because it does it feels like she's just like riding katie and ariana's dicks really hard and
it's like this isn't it's not working and like trying to get in the middle of katy and aryana
and trying to making it a thing of like she says that she and katy bonded over delivering hard facts
in these like pretty packages and so that so basically this season when she tried to deliver the hard facts
about Katie's feelings about Ariana
and Katie wasn't interested
in doing that on camera
that it basically like bummed her out
because she loves making the show
and she loves having these uncomfortable conversations on camera.
And it's like, okay, right.
Like we obviously like I understand
what the point of a reality show is
but like you're also kind of,
you're kind of telling on yourself
that you don't care about
these people that much aside from what they're like
giving you to work with on the show.
And so it's a fine line.
And I think there is, there's room for nuance where it's like, yeah, maybe I wish that
Katie would have been willing to have that conversation on camera a little more.
I think it would have been interesting to kind of unpack that throughout the season.
But at the same time, if she didn't want to for whatever reason, then Lala trying to drag her
for it doesn't make Lala look good.
it just makes her look a little bit petty and like she doesn't actually care about these people as real friends.
She just wants whatever she wants for the show.
So I don't know.
I mean, I don't know exactly where to land with this.
I'm curious to see how they react to watching the finale in part three because so much of that was about what are we obligated to film?
What is kind of the purpose of us being here?
and I think that this group has a lot to look at when it comes to that question.
But I don't know.
I'm so glad to hear, though, that Sheena is actually too booked and busy to do dancing with the stars this year because, of course she is.
Of course.
I mean, like, look, do I believe her?
Of course.
Of course, I believe.
Like, but also, I mean, unless we're all, like, if Death were the Stars called Sheena tomorrow,
And they were like, look, we know you said you're busy, but like, we have a spot.
I just feel like it is more than likely that a hole in Sheena's calendar would magically appear.
That's all.
That's all I'm saying.
I don't know.
I just, I don't think she would turn down that opportunity.
But that being said, I believe that she's working with her band and it's very busy and is doing a lot of things that are going to be amazing.
And I can't wait to see them.
But yeah, that's what we've got for today.
Van der Pump rules, car accident corner.
It is what it is.
I'm going to talk about the Valley tomorrow.
I honestly feel like Vanter Pump and the Valley are both giving enough right now that it's hard to get to them both in the same day.
But yeah, we'll be back.
I think also tomorrow I want to do some listener questions, maybe a little bit of a mailbag.
So look out.
Send me a DM.
Send me a comment.
I might put like a question box on Instagram to solicit some questions.
But we'll see what we got to tomorrow.
But thank you so much for listening.
