everyone, welcome back to the Mentioned at All podcast. Welcome to another Friday episode. It has certainly
been a week in the Bravo world. We are going to talk about it all. Before we get into it, I just want to
give a little shout out our YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash at Bravo by Betches. You can watch all
of our full video episodes there. We also have video episodes on Spotify. Audio, of course,
wherever you listen to podcasts. You should go check out my episode with Reza Farahan from earlier this
week. And next Tuesday, we have another treat, Chief Stu, Daisy Kelleher, this season of Below Deck
Down Under. I have been catching up, and it's a pretty good season so far. Of course, we kicked off
down under this season with the Salt Lake Ladies on the Charter. And I feel like people didn't really
give enough attention to when those episodes were airing because, you know, we're seeing it from the
other side, from the crew perspective. So we got into that. We talked about the Housewives with Daisy.
we talked about her switching from sailing yacht where she's been for the last four seasons
to a brand new show, a brand new crew this year on Down Under.
Daisy is just the best.
I was really, really thankful that the blizzard situation in New York did not affect
her travel plans because I was like, I just want to fucking talk to Daisy.
If I can't get more of Higgins on the couch, I need another Irish girlie with a bob in my life.
And Daisy's the best.
It's so crazy how long we've been doing.
this show now because, and I talked about this with Daisy, I remember the first time I interviewed
her for this podcast was probably like four years ago and she was working on another boat in the
off season of below deck sailing yacht and she did the interview over Zoom from like the
crew mess of the boat that she was working on like boat Wi-Fi. We've come a long way. It was great
to have her in studio. But that's coming out on Tuesday. It has, it's been really fun this week
seeing Lisa Rinnah all over.
She's doing all this press for her new memoir.
You better believe I'm going to talk about it.
I got my hands on a copy.
I have not read it yet.
I feel like I should.
Maybe I'm going out of town next week.
I'm going to be on a flight.
Maybe I'll bring it.
But the problem is, this is such a first world problem.
I don't love to bring a hardcover book when I'm traveling because it just takes up so much space.
So I'm like, I have the hardcover book, but do I like?
buy it on my Kindle, that's gluttonous. Like, I don't need two copies of Lisa Vina's memoir,
but I do want to read it. Maybe I'll just, like, crush it over the weekend. I don't know.
I feel like I'll get through it pretty quickly. But it was really fun seeing Lisa on,
on Watch What Happens Live earlier this week with Andy. You know, they have definitely
been through some fun times and some tense times in their relationship. And it was really cool
to see Andy take a second in the episode and to just,
kind of spotlight the fact that Lisa has been present at two really, really important moments
in his life and really showed up for him in a way that was not required of her at his baby shower
when she kind of like kicked the party into high gear, you know, get on the table and dance for
Andy. He gave you your career, bitches. And at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony where she spoke
with Garcell was there and John Mayer. And it was just one of those moments. And it was just one of those
where obviously Andy has many different levels of relationship across the Bravo franchises.
There are some of these people that he has met maybe two or three times at Watch What
Happens and a reunion and has probably never spoken to them otherwise.
There are, you know, famously are housewives that are texting him all the time.
You can tell that there are people, though, that he has a little bit more of a nuanced
relationship with. Of course, it's lots of people who have been on these shows forever. You can tell
he has this like deep respect and admiration for Candy Burris whenever they talk. You know, obviously
he's been in the trenches with people like NeNe Leaks and Carol Radswell and those have been
roller coasters. But with Lisa, it was, it was cool to see that kind of full circle moment for them.
And I mean, some people were like, oh, this laying the groundwork for her to come back to Beverly
Hills. And it's like, yeah, I mean,
maybe, but I kind of just see it as Lisa being somebody who has been in this business a long
fucking time. She's, she is Lisa fucking Rina. Don't you forget it. And I feel like they kind of are on
a similar level with each other. Like they see each other and I think there's a mutual respect
there that maybe hasn't always been active. But it's always nice to see when people can kind of
take that beat and be like, you know, we've been through some shit together and you've been good
to me in a way that I do not want to take for granted. And it was just a nice moment. I will read
Lisa's book, whether it's next week or the week after. Am I promising that it'll be one of those two
weeks? I will read it at some point and I will let you know how it is. I really do make an effort
to read these memoirs. I got to get Derreitz. When does DeRey's memoir come out? There's so many
happening. Now Ashley Darby has a children's book. That one I guess we'll be quick to get through.
I mean, let's be real. They're all quick to get through. These aren't. April 7th, Doreat's book comes out.
Can we get around the show? Maybe. I don't know. We cannot go down that road right now.
Ashley Darby's children's book, I would guess we'll be quicker to get through than Carl Radke's book, but maybe not by much.
I won't say who to traitor is. No, we're going to talk about the traitors finale and the reunion next.
week. We're also going to get into parts two and three of the Potomac reunion next week once it's
concluded. Like I said, I'm traveling, so recording a little early, trying to manage what content
is going on, which episodes. And there's a lot to manage these days. There's a lot to get into.
And speaking of content that's coming our way, we got this week the trailer for season 17 of the
Real Housewives of Atlanta. I'm excited. I don't know. People I think these days have sort of like a
weird chip on their shoulder when it comes to some of our long running franchises where obviously
something like Atlanta, something like OC, something like, I mean, New York is a different story.
But like, you know, these real long legacy franchises, Beverly Hills, I guess, is in this camp as well.
it's really easy to just sort of sit back, watch the trailer, and say, I miss the old days.
And like, I get it.
I think that's valid.
Real Housewives of Atlanta has seen probably the highest highs of any Real Housewives show.
But I think it feels kind of good to embrace the new.
And I thought overall, season 16 of Real House Wives of Atlanta was a major correction over
some of the kind of like, I don't know, neither here nor there vibes, kind of since Nini left
the show, there were a few years where it was a little bit like, what are we doing here?
And last year, despite the mess and the, you know, the fuckery that went on with Kenya and
Brit kind of being a side show over there, I thought the bones of the season were pretty strong.
And I really liked Kelly and Angela are two true newbies.
I thought Shamiya did a great job.
You know, Portia's back, Fadra's back.
I had fun.
Sue me.
Whatever happened to fun?
Cue me falling on a window.
But I am excited for this season of Atlanta and I think it's going to be a little bit of a different flavor.
And I think that's okay because we have two new housewives.
Of course, we still have Angela, Kelly, Shamiya, Faye.
Padre, Portia, Drew Sedora, of course.
How could I forget?
And Cynthia Bailey as a friend of.
But we have two new ladies, full-time, peach holders.
I don't love that.
Peach holders.
And the newbies are really intriguing.
And of course, you know, you never know exactly what you're going to get with new women on a housewives show.
But we have Kay Michelle and Pinky Cole.
And Kay Michelle, if you have been in the reality TV,
world for a long time. K. Michelle is, you know, a pillar of the community, you could say.
She has had the distinction of being a full-time cast member on all three versions of the
love and hip-hop franchise. She was on ATL originally. She was on New York for a season. And then
most recently, she was on Hollywood for, I think, the last two seasons that it was on. And she also
had her own spinoff show on VH1 for three seasons. Now, I have not seen
most of her work in the love and hip hop universe.
I have watched, I think like season one of Atlanta a while ago, maybe during COVID,
I did a little bit of a binge.
I didn't stick with it all the way.
So I am familiar with Kay Michelle as a figure, but I do not know all the lore.
And I got to say, I'm excited to find out.
I'm excited to get to know Kay Michelle.
Both I would like to learn more about Kay Michelle's background on TV.
off, but I'm also excited to learn who is K. Michelle in 2026. What is she bringing to this show at this
time in this way? Because I think something that I've seen a little bit of the sentiment of, by the way,
the last love and hip hop franchise show that she was on was like seven years ago. So it's been a
minute. She's gotten married last year. She, the last couple of years, has transitioned her
music career into country music away from sort of the R&B space where she had been for such a long
time. And in the trailer, she's talking about she's signed to the biggest country music label and
she's the only black woman on this label. That's a big story. And I'm excited to dig into that.
And I've seen some people making critiques of like it feels like real housewives of Atlanta is
turning into love and hip hop.
The last few years, you know, we've had
Drew Sadora doing music.
We've had Shamiya, I guess, doing music.
You know, never had, whatever, Bob.
But I just think that's like a little bit of a weird
criticism because I think that
these shows can be kind of whatever.
Like, they can be anything.
And I think that naturally Atlanta,
over 17 seasons, has had so much evolution
and so many different iterations and eras.
But like the idea that somebody from love and hip hop coming on to Atlanta
would in some way like tarnish the brand or like make it worse or less like sophisticated.
I just think it's a little weird.
I'm excited.
Like I just want to know how it's going to go.
Now, I mean, if it was like Jocelyn Hernandez, like there's a line.
Like I don't want to be watching like a Zeus original in place of housewives.
But like K. Michelle is not Jocelyn Hernandez.
Let's be straight.
And Jocelyn Hernandez, if you're listening, Diva, love your work.
Please don't, please don't fight me.
I don't want to do that.
No, but and Pinky Cole also.
I don't, like, I'm meeting Pinky Cole for the first time in this trailer.
And she is the founder of Sluddy Vegan, which is like a hundred million dollar business.
Who knew?
Who knew?
But she's a boss bitch.
She's coming on.
My favorite moment in the trailer, actually, is when Pinky and Angela are getting into it.
and Pinky says, I should have bought your foreclosed homes.
And Angela goes, okay, Mr. Clean.
Don't do it, Papa Smurf.
Angela Oakley has a way with words.
I'm excited to see her, like, not as the newbie.
I think her energy is so fascinating.
And last season, I was like, I like what I'm getting from Angela,
but I feel like I want to, like,
I want to, like, let her sink in a little bit.
And so I'm excited for that.
I have to imagine that Pinky is going to have to have.
have some thoughts on Kelly branding herself as like the Waffle Queen when it seemingly has
like one restaurant that's not open for business. I mean, Drew, Drew and Kelly have been getting
into it. Also, Shamiya and Portia's whole dynamic seems like it's going to go lower and lower
and lower this year. I'm not like happy about that, but I'm intrigued to watch it. I don't know
if Fager has a storyline, but I'm excited to see what she's doing regardless. I don't know. I just
feel I feel positive about Atlanta.
And I had a fun time watching most of last season.
And I would like to have a fun time again.
And I believe in a fun time.
I believe we can have fun.
And I would encourage more of you to believe in the power of fun.
And I don't say, like, if a show's not good, I'm going to say it.
I mean, I'm going to talk about Beverly Hills for the 10th episode in a row and be like,
I don't know.
But what if it's great?
So good.

Let's talk about Beverly Hills.
I thought this week's episode of Beverly Hills was pretty good.
And the interesting thing about that, you know who was hardly featured
on this week's episode of Beverly Hills.
Amanda Francis.
I actually had to go back when I finished watching the episode.
I was like, did Amanda appear in this episode at all?
Because I was going through, I was like, okay, scrubbing through the episode in my brain.
I'm like, okay, we have a lot of Rachel Zoe and Kyle and Doreet's trip to the Hamptons.
We have Erica going to therapy.
We have Sutton meeting with Jennifer Tilly.
We have Bose, you know, going to.
dinner with her daughter and her man.
Nowhere in the mental scrubbing.
Am I finding Amanda Francis?
Which is strange because Amanda has been a very central figure in a lot of the conversations
so far this season.
And so I did go back.
It turns out Amanda is featured for approximately 15 seconds in sort of the like opening,
you know, montage of the episode where she's, I think like getting a manicure with her
daughter and asking her to be her like ring bear flower girl.
I don't fucking know.
but Amanda is not like present in any real scene this episode.
And I do think it changed the dynamic.
Now, part of that is because there's no big group scene in this episode.
We don't see, you know, last week we had the ladies who weren't in the Hamptons doing the like manifestation moment and kind of the aftermath of that.
And we were hearing a lot from Amanda about the women taking her seriously.
She met with Erica, yada, yada, yada.
Amanda's not there this week. And I think it's an interesting choice that while, you know,
I think the trip to the Hamptons is the most interesting thing that's happening, but like back in
LA, we're not checking in on Amanda at all. And I got to say, I've been really interested in
the conversation around her business and how she's handling the group and all of that. But when it
comes to those sort of like individual scenes where you're just looking at what's going on in
somebody's life. I'm like, I don't fucking care what's going on in Amanda Francis's life.
Okay, her daughter's going to be her flower girl. That's cute, I guess. I would much rather spend
whatever it is, three extra minutes at Erica's therapy scene with Dr. Jen, where she's getting,
to me, really raw with how she feels about just like how her life has been.
been going these last few years. And her talking about, you know, how, you know, she's tired and she
feels like all this stuff that she, you know, thought was going to go her way and it didn't. And she
has this $25 million lawsuit and another $10 million tax bill from Tom. And I mean, to be clear,
some of this stuff is, you know, I'm not saying that she has no, you know, responsibility or
shouldn't be on the hook for any of this stuff. But it is objectively something,
suffocating to her, whether or not it's, you know, something that should be happening.
And she's just feeling, you know, crushed under all the cases and everything else.
And she doesn't, she doesn't want to hear the cliches of finding the beauty in the moment and, oh, something good is going to happen.
And the way that Dr. Jen, I think that's Jen with two ends, by the way, Dr. Jen, she says, we all, look, Erica, I'm going to stop you right there.
we all imagine that there's going to be this moment we get to in life where the struggles are over and, you know, the debts are paid and the laundries folded and, you know, everything is good and there's not a care in the world.
Baby, there's no plane.
It ain't happened. It's not real.
It doesn't exist.
And I was like, well, shit.
Dr. Jen, you're just, you're spitting bars, but tough.
I mean, for the therapist to be like, bitch, it ain't going to happen.
It's like that moment.
One of my favorite, like, meme clips from Ayanla Van Zant, where she's like,
and does that sound like something you want?
And there goes, yes.
She's like, well, let me tell you right now, you'll never get it.
I just gave myself chills a little bit there.
Like, it's, I mean, Erica has been in this state for the last, what is it, five years now of,
There's always a next thing coming in the legal stuff.
There's always a question being asked, a case being brought, a hearing coming up, you know, somebody doubting her, somebody accusing her of something.
And again, whether or not she has deserved a lot of that stuff, it has been this, you know, onslaught that she has not been able to escape.
and it is tough to think about how that weighs on somebody.
And it felt, I really appreciated specifically,
like the way that Dr. Jen was speaking to Erica
was so, like, concise and clear and, like, honest
compared to the sort of, like, misty woo-woo motivation manifestation talk
that we've been hearing from Amanda all season.
And obviously, like, Amanda's not a therapist.
It's not, you know, it's not, you know,
it's not that they're doing the exact same job.
But I think just like hearing somebody give like real feedback, real advice even,
but like real like thoughts on life versus Amanda's like,
okay, so what's the thing you want most?
Write it down, babe.
And now we're going to think about it and envision it.
It's like that's not that that's a bad practice, but it's not real.
Sorry, when I was in sixth grade, my math teacher made us watch The Secret in math class, and we had to fill out a packet about it.
This teacher later got fired from her job for other reasons, but like, not a great math teacher.
But like, I've known about the secret a long time.
I don't think it's real.
I don't think it's real.
I'm sorry.
If you're like loving the secret for yourself, that's great.
but like Erica needs like a therapist.
She needs real advice.
And I enjoyed seeing that.
Meanwhile, I also have thought that this Hampton's trip has been really fun to see.
I've really enjoyed seeing Rachel kind of in her element like this.
I think it has been nice for Dorit and Kyle to sort of be removed from their everyday dynamic.
And obviously Dorit is going through a lot with with her and PK and the kids.
and, you know, Kyle's, I guess, going through a lot, but like in not as much of a way.
But it's just nice to see the three of these women kind of like connecting in a way that I feel like we don't always see.
And also, if I ever go to the Hamptons, I've never been to the Hamptons, by the way.
Like, if somebody wants to send me to the Hamptons, I'm down, but like I want to do the Rachel's O Hamptons.
I want to be staying in the like large gorgeous quiet home.
I want to be going to like a nice dinner.
Maybe there's some music.
Maybe there's some dancing.
I'm in bed at a normal time.
Please don't invite me to the Hamptons if it's going to be the Kyle Cook two-hour DJ set that starts at 1130 and you are not home until 4 a.m.
That's not my Hamptons.
I mean, I don't have a Hamptons, but like that's not my ideal.
vision of the Hamptons. I want to go with Rachel Zoh. I want to watch Dorit's credit card get declined
when she tries to buy $4,900 worth of stuff from Love Shack Fancy, which by the way, this stuff is not
that cute. I mean, it's fine. Like, I don't, I'm not like, yuck, all these clothes are disgusting,
but it's when she's like, when DeRite has already had her card get declined, she says, it's a fraud
alert, you guys, it's not like, whatever. The card gets declined. She, you know, uses another one,
gets it to go through whatever. She's walking out the door and she goes, oh wait, this dress on the
rack. I was supposed to get that one too. Can you just, can you just add it? Just like add it to the
thing and like text me or whatever. It's like, babe, you already just did the whole song and dance
with the credit card and the bag and the 49. It's like, just be done. You don't need a fourth frilly
white spaghetti strap dress. You'll never think about it again after today.
But this is interesting because they're out shopping and things have been fun in the Hampton so far.
But this shopping trip is one of the things that kind of perks Kyle's ear up where she's like,
I don't know if my sometimes good friend, Doreet, is doing amazing right now.
Because the next morning, she, Bose is FaceTiming her and they're talking.
And she's like, you know, Doreet's been kind of scattered.
we got to the airport and she hadn't left her house,
which to me, I'm like, is that not normal?
Doreet Kemsley behavior?
Like being late is kind of,
but she was like, no, it wasn't late because of glam.
It was like late because she was just scattered.
It's like, okay, I don't know if that would hold up in court.
But then she's like, also, we went shopping and she's just spending too much money.
And again, this is something where like,
obviously the way that this is like edited and framed,
we the viewer are also supposed to feel like Derreet is spending an irresponsible amount of money.
I mean, they are, they are like really putting together the montage of here being like,
I want that one and that one and that one and that one and my size and my size.
Find it, find it, find it, swipe, swipe, swipe, like, I get it.
I think they're laying it on a little thick.
Like, I can see somebody with a giant shopping bag and be like, I don't know without having like a, you know,
the blabber mouth edit of it's like, and then another dress, another dress, another dress, another
dress. But I mean, I get Kyle's point. And the annoying thing, of course, is that in the moment,
Bose is like fully in agreement. And she's like, yeah, I heard that she just bought an Armas Kelly.
And of course, the bag is a thing too, because we see it. And Kyle's like, I wanted that one.
But then they told me it would get dirty because it's like this off white color and I'm not
careful. The handbag stuff. It's like, I know, if we get it, you guys all have Burkens. It's
fine. But, you know, Bose is kind of going along with what Kyle's saying on the phone.
And then naturally, she's going to go and carry the bone back to Doreet, which is, you know,
she's doing her job. But even in the moment, it's interesting that Bose kind of clocks that
she's like, Kyle has had critiques of how Doreet is speaking about P.K. amid this separation and,
you know, mediation and, you know, divorce stuff.
And really, maybe Kyle should be watching what she's saying about her friend Derreet on camera and in public because those things could also have ramifications.
If Kyle is on the record saying, Doreet's spending too much money.
She's forgetful. She's scattered.
She's not.
She not everything is, you know, fully there for her right now.
That feels like the exact kind of thing.
I'm not a lawyer.
it feels like the exact kind of thing that somebody could try to use in say like a custody hearing to say well look even her even her good friend kyle says that she's irresponsible with her money says that she can't be anywhere on time and she's supposed to pick up the kids and she can't be anywhere on time like those are the types of things that you you do kind of have to be careful about especially when you're in a situation unfortunately like derit is where it seems like
all the little details are going to be contentious.
So I kind of think that Bose is spot on with a lot of stuff this season.
You know, the way that she's been clocking Amanda,
the way that she is kind of picking up on this dynamic between Kyle and Doreet,
I think that Bose has quickly become somebody who's really a sort of like astute observer
of dynamics within the group and kind of a bullshit meter that I think is helpful to have.
But I'm liking it.
I'm liking her vibe a lot.
this season.
I do the dinner at the end of the episode where Bose is with Keely and Lael.
I don't know if this is just the editing.
It feels like Lael doesn't speak at all when they're together.
And I just, I hope that Leal likes that man.
That's all I'm going to say.
That's all I'm going to say.
But the episode ends when they're at dinner.
And this is after Doreet has been like late to come meet Rachel's family, which again,
just like, Doreet's going to be Doreet.
if nothing else.
But Rachel is sharing a little bit more background about her divorce.
And she's saying, she's like, what day is it?
August 3rd.
This is the one year anniversary of when my life just completely broke open.
And she's talking around specifics of being told some information.
She says that her husband, Roger, she won't say his name.
I get it.
She says that he told her some information that made her not be able to look at him the same way.
And that was the day, you know, they had been in and out a little bit, but that was kind of, look, I understand.
We have seen many a divorce, many a contentious, whatever.
I understand why Rachel is likely choosing not to share specifics or maybe can't share specifics.
But that doesn't stop me from watching this.
and being like, I really wish we could just say what we're talking about.
Like, was it cheating?
It seems like it was cheating.
But was it like something with money?
Was it something with, is he gambling?
Like, I truly don't know.
But it's just like one of those things where it's like, if this is the storyline,
I really wish we could get like, even just like a crumb more of information.
Because right now it feels like we're talking in like vague terms to the point where it's
Like, wait, sorry.
Like, he could have cheated on you or he could have, like, you know, spent a little too much money.
I mean, I guess Rachel's not one to be like, the credit card bill is too much.
That's literally their whole thing from Rachel's O project.
But no, I just, I, like, I hope that at some point we can get a little bit more detailed.
Because right now it's broad strokes and I, I'm, it's working for me.
But that would be my one note.

Okay, let's talk about Summer House.
We're four episodes into the season.
And this, I think, was a good.
episode. I think it was an important episode because it feels like we are starting to develop
a little bit more storyline beyond just Kyle and Amanda fucking hate each other. And I've said this
the last couple weeks, but I'm like, I am of course engaged and interested to see exactly
what goes down with Kyle and Amanda this season. But it also cannot be the entire season,
especially with how far apart they are in these first episodes.
We cannot watch 18 episodes of them just being like,
babe, babe, why?
And she's like, no, yeah, I just like, oh.
That's not a whole season.
And I like, in this episode, we sort of like get it out of the way
where he apologizes to her once again about the behavior at Apology Dune,
which wasn't really an apology.
But this one more is, you know, bars on the floor.
But he's like, I apologize to you.
It just feels like, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And that was also, he's like, that was the drunkest I've been in a whole long time.
And she's like, okay, so that's not true.
But whatever, whatever you say.
And he's like, I just feel like I want to be like, he's trying to do this like soft boy thing of like, I just like you don't want to be.
I don't want you to be mad at me.
And she's like, I just don't know.
like, why are we, why are we doing this if, if you, like, hate me? Like, that's a, I feel like
that's the subtext here is it's like, if you are so disinterested in, like, anything that I
want, whether it's to stay in on a Saturday night or to do a swimsuit line or to have a
husband who doesn't, you know, black out and sleep, sleep in a dorm room or whatever the
fuck. Like, if you're not interested in any of those things, what are we doing here? And as a viewer,
I say, seconded. I second the motion. But anyway, we kind of put a pin in the Kyle and Amanda.
And the big event the following weekend, first of all, Lindsay's back. Thank, thank the Lord.
Lindsay, of course, is, you know, sort of working around her custody agreement this summer. So I think she's on like in every other
weekend situation.
But she makes her big debut at the Ben's Australian singles mixer, which I'm like, why are
we doing this?
And some of the people point out on the show, it's like, this man is like, everybody on
the show is like, wow, he's so hot.
He literally was The Bachelor in Australia.
Why are we putting any of our resources into finding him someone to be with?
It's not a hard problem to solve.
You know, Levi says she saw him on Raya the night before.
I'm sure he's getting plenty of matches.
But anyway, you know, Ben Singles Mixer brings the people together.
Lindsay's back and I love seeing Lindsay.
I just feel like Lindsay is in a phase of life that is very easy, breezy, not a care in the
world, but like if she does, she'll let you know.
she talks about how
you know for
for such a long time
before she had a family
and a baby
that she
you know anytime that she was
talking to someone dating someone seeing someone
whatever
was trying to find
her person
Mr. Wright
the father of her child
and now that's out of the way
so she doesn't have that kind of burden
hanging over her of like
who is going to be the person
that is going to allow me to do this next chapter of my life.
And I kind of love that because Lindsay is like, she's like, I am a grown ass woman.
I am a mom that's like figuring it out.
And I can do whatever the fuck I want to do.
And I really appreciate that.
And I think it's going to be fun to watch.
And I'm glad that she and, you know, I think it seems like she and Carl are maybe going to be more friendly later in the season.
because right now it does, she is still very like, I don't think about Carl. I'm not checking for Carl.
Carl's like, hey, how's gentlemen? She's like, great, thanks. Like, they're not really like buddy, buddy yet,
but it seems like maybe there's a little bit more of that energy on the horizon.
But the thing we really have to talk about is what's going on with West and Jesse and Sierra,
because it's getting weird. It's getting a little weird. Okay, so I, team West, I just got to say,
because West, West has been such a good boy.
He is being so careful, so respectful.
You know, he invites his friend Dara, who is, like, in the cast now.
I guess we're just, like, every week there's a new person.
But Dara's here, and they, like, had a thing in the past, but he invites her to, like,
the singles mixer for Ben.
And so they're like, okay, so you're not together.
He's like, no, no, no, no, no.
She's just, like, cool.
And maybe Ben wants to get with her.
And also, like, I'm trying to be really respectful with Sierra.
because I don't want to like, you know, he's trying so hard to, like, stay within the lines.
Also, I'm like, if Dara got cast on the show, then it's not like West's fault that she's there.
Whatever.
It's kind of a non-issue.
But anyway, West is clearly like, he knows how bad he was in the doghouse before and he doesn't want to be sent back.
So he's in, like, good boy corner over there, hot.
And Jesse, meanwhile, is like, maybe I have one.
one more chance to just like fool around with Sierra.
And I am so annoyed by his whole energy right now.
Because it's like, who do you think you are?
What makes you think that Sierra is like waiting around for a chance to make out with you?
It's so strange to me.
It's first of all, him going, so they're at this night out when Conchard, when Conchard,
has his DJ set, whatever, which Amanda doesn't go to because she's not feeling well.
I'm like, okay, girl, we've all been there.
You're like, oh, I just got a tummyache right now.
I don't think I can go anymore.
It's crazy how that happened.
But they're out, and we hear that Jesse went up to West and asked if he could make out with Sierra.
And it's like, wait, wait, wait, wait, sorry, huh?
What are you talking about?
It's so presumptuous because it's not.
like, oh, me and Sierra are viving right now. I think it's going to happen in five minutes.
That, maybe I would understand. I still think this whole thing is like a complete breach of
guy code, like whatever guy code is. Like, if guy code exists at all, it's Jesse trying to get
with Sierra when West is clearly not over that, you know, situation. But also, I don't
think Sierra wants to make out with Jesse.
Like, Sierra, again, I mean,
I feel like the question sometimes is whether Sierra knows how fucking stunning and
perfect she is, but she certainly knows that she could find an option that's not
Jesse Solomon if she wants to.
And so I think that, you know, it's a weird, obviously vibe between West and Jesse
because, you know, West is kind of uncomfortable by it.
He talks to other guys in the house about it, and they agree that it's like a really strange move on Jesse's part.
But I think almost the like bigger kind of red flag to me is that Jesse is sort of like scheming on this trying to get with Sierra.
And we see that Lindsay is the one that tells Sierra about this and that Sierra is not thrilled.
and I just am like, the thing with Jesse is that like I, I like the guy.
Like, it seems like a cool guy sometimes.
But he just, over the course of three seasons now, like the way that he moves in not even romantic situations, but like situations with the opposite sex at all, it just feels like he is.
kind of calculating.
And like,
he has a way of navigating these situations
that does not feel completely, like,
above board.
And that he kind of, like,
knows what he's doing.
And, you know, last season with Lexi,
it was like, obviously,
I was not the biggest fan of Lexi.
I don't think she was, like,
working on the show more broadly.
But the way that Jesse handled his situation with Lexi
was, like, okay, you seem,
like you kind of knew what you were doing and knew it that at the very least she wasn't going to be
happy about the way that you were navigating certain things or getting your toe sucked or
you know we can't go back there but like it just feels like especially if you're proclaiming to
be like you know best boys with west they're sharing a room just literally make out with anyone
else.
And now, I mean, it does seem likely that that will never happen now.
Also, okay, to me, the kind of the weirdest thing is, like, from the beginning of this
season, Jesse has been, like, weaseling his way into being the new bedbug now that
Page isn't there.
He's, like, up in the bed all the time with Amanda and Sierra.
And, like, Mia's there sometimes.
Like, there's, like, it's, like, it's, like, you can't have it both ways.
Like, you can't be in the bedbugs, but then also be, like, plotting how you're going to scoop Sierra
after dark.
When Paige was in the bedbugs, she wasn't ever trying to, like, you know, steal Sierra's
man or whatever.
It's just, it's a, it's weird behavior.
And I don't think it's going to end well for him.
If anything, I feel like this situation is more likely to sort of continue breaking
the ice between West and Sierra because she's going to maybe, I mean, now I'm like writing
fan fiction here. I'm like, she's going to appreciate that he was like having her best
interests at heart and like didn't like the way that this other guy was speaking about her.
And he's kind of, he kind of seems like chivalrous. I don't know. Meanwhile, on Southern
Charmed there in Mexico, Sally and Charlie are still yelling at each other.
It's just like, what are we doing?
Oh my God.
We're not going to spend much time.
It's just like seeing Austin do take a body shot off of Sally and then make out with her.
I'm like, enough.
Grow up.
Like, what are we doing here?
And then the episode ends with, with Craig, like, going off on Sally in the van on the ride home at the end of the night.
It's like, again, these, I feel like, Craig.
I feel like Craig, like Sally and Charlie are like a mess of their own making, but they're also
kind of harmless. Whereas it feels like Craig has just has this like anger issue almost where it feels
like now like the, what Craig did to Austin at Wittner's birthday party earlier in the season. Now he's
kind of directing that energy at Sally because he feels like she's, you know, messing with his
relationship or whatever, calling her a loser over and over and over again.
And it's like an hour long car ride.
Can you imagine at the end of the night too?
Everybody's exhausted.
It's like, imagine if you're trying, if you're like Vanita or whoever and you're trying to like kind of half be asleep in the back of the car and you have to listen to Craig's whiny ass calling Sally a loser, nightmare.
Nightmare.
My nightmare, actually.
Oh, what are we going to do?
What are we going to do with them?
Okay, that's sudden charm for the week.
Before we wrap, I do, I do just want to take a minute.
I didn't want to start the episode with it because I didn't think it would be a fun energy to start with.
I just want to take a moment to acknowledge we heard earlier this week that Mary Cosby's son, Robert Jr.
passed away at the age of 23.
I just, you know, there's not much to say except for truly, really devastating, heartbreaking news.
And, you know, my heart goes out to Mary.
She's been a guest on this show.
she's brought so much, you know, joy and laughter and, you know, fun into our lives over the last
few years on the show, but also really over the last couple seasons, the way that she has
spoken about and opened up the situation with her son.
And he's, you know, participated in that on the show too.
And some of the conversations that they've had really were just, like, so impactful.
And I, you know, I commend both of them for being willing to.
be open about that. And I think that, you know, in the light of this, you know, tragic situation,
I'm sure that there is somebody out there who has seen that or heard that on the show and really,
you know, been impacted by it in a positive way. And so, you know, I don't know what's going to
happen with Salt Lake City. It sounds like maybe they were supposed to start filming this week and
they're taking some time. I don't know if Mary's going to come back this season. And,
if she, I hope that she takes whatever time she needs.
I hope that she is, you know, surrounded by so much love right now.
And, man, just a tragic situation.
So I just want to say, you know, rest in peace to Robert Jr.
And, you know, to Mary and Robert Sr.
And the whole family just, you know, sincere condolences.
And, man, it's a tough thing.
But, you know, everybody, have a great weekend.
Stay safe.
Thank you so much for listening.
And until next time, be cool.
Don't be all like uncool.
All.
