Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, though.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
We are rounding out this week with lots of stuff to talk about.
You know, every week is different on Bravo.
And it's always fun to get to a Thursday and feel like you just have a bunch of stuff kind of locked.
loaded and ready to go.
Yesterday, I had the
great pleasure of sitting down with West and Jesse at 9 a.m.
to talk about last night's episode of Summerhouse and talk about it.
We did.
That is live in the feed right now.
So if you haven't had a chance to listen, we talked about toe sucking.
We talked about shipwrecking.
We talked about a lot.
I don't know.
Having like that kind of like straight male energy in the studio is
it doesn't happen a lot. It's always interesting. It's always a fun ride. It kind of made me think of,
I think it was Austin and Craig I had on the podcast like BravoCon 2020 kind of time frame and they came in the
studio together and they were, you know, perhaps not 100% sober and like it was just a little bit of a
wild ride. Just like two dudes shooting the shit in front of podcast microphones. I don't get to do that
too often. I talk to a lot of beautiful women, but not that many guys. So go listen to that.
Monday coming up on the show, we have Kelly Farrell, the Waffle Queen of Atlanta herself.
She was in the studio yesterday, too, so I'm excited for you guys to hear that. But today,
we've got a bunch of other stuff to get into. We're going to talk about Summer House a little bit.
We're going to talk about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale. A couple of Bravo
departures that feel like important news to comment on. But first of all,
I want to turn our attention to what's going on in New Jersey. You guys, it's happening again.
This week, we got the news that Teresa and her husband, Louis, are facing a collective $3 million in tax liens.
Now, look, have I always been the biggest Teresa supporter, or tree hugger, as you might say?
No, I have it. I think I can be honest.
about that. Some of you have been very honest about that in comment sections or, you know,
reviews or whatever. It's fine. We can agree to disagree on some of the particulars of what has
happened on the program, The Real Houseways of New Jersey. But I think we can all be aligned in the
fact that it sucks to see that this is history repeating itself. Now, we were all there in the
trenches of what Teresa went through with her ex. She went to literal fucking prison. She wrote a
book about it. Where I'm sitting right now, I can see my copy of turning the tables, the harrowing
memoir of Teresa's time away at camp. But this news almost feels worse to me. And I don't mean worse
in like a legal sense of what's going to happen to her, because first of all, as I
As I often remind you, I'm not a lawyer. I'm certainly not any kind of tax aficionado. I love my
my little turbo tax. You use it every year. You do the boop, boop, it already has all your info.
Is that a good thing? I don't know. I know turbotax. I don't want to get into it. It's tax season. Pay your taxes,
everyone. That's my, that's my note for the day. Pay your taxes. But yeah, so they have been a few
different liens of varying amounts, at least one on Teresa specifically, the larger ones,
more falling on Louis' side of things, but of course they are a married couple. And the added thing
to this is there are, there's a loan situation happening where, so they bought their house
in 2021 for $3.35 million. The home we've seen on the show, it's a beautiful home, truly, a lovely
place to live. So it turns out, we find out this week that last March, March of 2024,
Louis took out a $1 million loan against the house. What was this loan for? Who's to say? I don't know.
Maybe for, you know, podcast equipment. Maybe for merch that Teresa was going to wear while they were
filming. Maybe it was for college expenses. Maybe it was for something really important.
People take out loans for all kind of reasons, but whatever, one million dollar loan against the house last March.
So come around to this March and that loan was set to mature, you know, you got to start paying it back.
There's going to be interest, yada, yada, yada. Again, not a financial expert. I won't pretend to be.
But Louis requested an extension. And so this is according to a report from people that this month, before the loan was set to mature,
Louis requested an extension and was granted a one-year extension. So now this loan timeline, whatever, has been pushed back an additional year to March of 2026. But not only that, which would suggest that Louis, you know, don't got the money. He also, this month, according to people, took out an additional $250,000 loan. Now, me not being an accountant, there could be some.
completely above-board, innocuous, everything's hunky-dory reason for this.
But me being a normal person who, you know, has some idea of what numbers are,
requesting an extension on the million-dollar loan and then also needing an additional 250K,
it just suggests that perhaps there could be some, how do you say, money trouble?
It doesn't paint a picture of everything being great and prosperous within the love bubble.
And then the tax liens.
So $3 million in tax liens, give or take, $1.25 million between these house loans.
That's sounding like pretty much they owe as much money as they paid for their whole house.
that $3.35 million, that's not good.
That's not good.
I don't want to tell anyone else how to live their life.
Pay your taxes.
I just, it's tough, and I don't know.
Teresa has not really commented on this,
though as this story was coming out,
I think it was Monday of this week.
She did post a photo on Instagram.
You know, I would say maybe like a soft nod.
to what was happening. And in this photo, she's wearing a t-shirt that says,
I speak fluent French, Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Celerin. And the caption is,
New Week, Fresh Goals, Unstoppable Energy. Let's make this Monday the start of something amazing.
Hashtag Monday motivation. Hashtag New Week, New Goals. She tags her makeup. It's just like,
Teresa, baby, I'm glad that you speak Chanel and Dior, but
We need to speak the tax code.
We need to speak to the IRS and make sure that we're paying off those liens.
I just don't want to see her go down this road.
And I mean, of course, the whole thread that goes through this is like, who didn't tell her this was going to happen?
Everybody in the world was shouting from the rooftops that this was going to happen.
Nothing that Louis has ever done has seemed good and solid and normal and state.
and, you know, legal, perhaps. I don't want to get into that. But we know that they don't have a
pre-up. We know that Teresa has kind of bought into everything that Louis has ever said. And, you know,
she's ignored a lot of warnings. She's, you know, ended friendships and broken things off because
people have asked questions or tried to warn her. It just, it feels bad to see this.
potentially happening. I mean, I don't know. With a situation like this, I feel like I have said four times
already, I'm not an expert. I don't know kind of what is the end game with the tax lien.
Where do you go from? They clearly don't have $3 million lying around. I mean, I hope Teresa,
you know, she can start doing some more, you know, vibrator ads. Hopefully Gia's podcast is going to do
really well, you know, her casual chaos with Gia Judice. Oh, also Gia said on the podcast,
I don't know if you guys heard this, Gia said that she gave up, or not gave up, that's rude.
She pressed pause on her plans to go to law school because of all the opportunities she was
getting, all the, all the Instagram and the brand deals and the whatever. She's going to be on
this show that they filmed with Brooks, Marks and Candy's daughter.
TBD on that.
But she basically said that she was studying for the LSAT and that her tutor told her like,
if you're not 100% in on this, you can't do it, basically.
Not like you're not smart enough, but like you, it wouldn't be the right choice to go down
this path because it's so hard, because there's so much dedication required to go to law
school, to take the LSAT, to become a lawyer, to study for the bar exam.
So Gia said that that journey of becoming a,
a lawyer, her legal career is on pause. And I saw some people kind of trying to drag her for this,
that it's like, girl, stay in school, you don't know how long the brand deals are going to last.
And it's like, she went to school. She graduated from college. She's not like 16 dropping out
getting a GED. She's not like Alabama Barker doing her, you know, makeup in dad's house,
beefing with bad baby. Like, she has a college degree. She's worked at a, she worked at like a marketing
company or something before she was going to go to law school. I don't have any kind of
judgment about her not going to law school. Going to law school sounds like it fucking sucks,
but I am kind of just like, I hope that she is, you know, going to be fulfilled in her life.
And if right now that means doing a podcast and going on a show with Brooks Marks, do it. She's
like 23. Have fun. Live your life. But like, I don't know.
I'll be interested to see kind of what her sisters do once they're finishing college and stuff. Because like, you know, for Gia, that path to me kind of makes sense. But I'm like, if Gabriella tries to be the full-time influencer, that's going to feel a little forced. That might have something to do with the tax liens. But I don't know. Wishing the best for Teresa and I suppose also for Louis, though, that I feel less strongly about. But we'll see. We'll see. Still another day of no news about what's happening with Real House of New Jersey. It's been.

Let's talk about our Bravo departures that we've gotten news of this week.
First and foremost, Garcel announced she's leaving, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She will not be returning after this season.
The reunion still to air.
And that, I think, is a key factor.
I saw there's been kind of debate over whether she is leaving on her own terms, whether she, you know, many a housewife has said that they're leaving when in reality they did
get asked back. I feel pretty confident that given the timing of this announcement that she is
leaving on her own terms, a lot of people, I think, are sort of looking at their own feelings about
Garcel and saying, well, obviously she got fired. First of all, the reunion has not aired yet.
Nobody has a contract for next season. It's not a, it's not a sexy explanation, but that's just not
how the timeline works on these shows. It never is. But also, the thing about Garcel is that whether
or not you think she's great on the show. I personally have really enjoyed her for much of her time
on Housewives. I think that this season has been a little bit flat for her. She is such a great
person for the network to have on the show. It's clear the way that she has spoken about,
the way the opportunities she's gotten, the way that she is kind of positioned as a central figure,
she is a favorite.
Andy loves her. I think the network loves her.
She's had this first look overall deal with NBC Universal that she got after joining Housewives.
You know, she's doing lifetime movies.
She's producing. She's acting.
She has had, you know, so many, like, brand collaborations and partnerships and yada, yada, yada.
She wrote a memoir.
She, to me, is one of the best examples of somebody who has joined the,
this franchise and, you know, put in the work, given us, given us, you know, stuff to work with
on the show, but has really, really made the show work for her. I mean, even going back to,
I think it was her first season when she was filming a bunch of stuff, she was working all the time,
and she was kind of in and out of the episodes. Maybe that was frustrating to watch, but she was
getting the check either way. And so I feel like Garcel is somebody who,
There are a lot of women who have been on Bravo who would kill to have the kind of Housewives tenure that she had.
Five seasons, I feel like she's getting out pretty unscathed. I mean, she, like it or not, she hasn't been in a serious relationship in her time on Housewives.
So there's no, you know, divorce wreckage. There's no, you know, tattered personal life, really, that she's leaving behind.
Her kids seem to be doing well. She has, Oliver just had another baby.
So she's, you know, grandma Garcel two times over.
I don't really have anything salacious to say about that.
Like, I just don't think it's, I don't think there's anything juicy about her leaving.
The weird part of it comes in with how the other women on the show have been reacting,
which for many of them means that they haven't been reacting.
Sutton posted about, you know, Garcel leaving that they were like sisters forever,
whatever, Lucy and Ethel.
Sutton must be spiraling right now.
now because she, that trip to St. Lu's gone through it. And she's never been on the show without Garcel.
And, you know, I think it kind of, in a way, reminds me of last season of Potomac when Robin left.
And it was the first time that we were ever seeing Chazelle without her fellow green-eyed bandit.
But the thing is, Sutton's track is no Giselle Bryant. They can both be messy, but, man, they are not, they are not built the same. And I think that Sutton,
If she stays on this show next season, her not having that sort of most dedicated supporter in her corner, I don't know how she's going to cope with that.
I don't know what that's even going to look like because we have seen this season Sutton sort of make these plays to curry favor with other women in the group.
You know, at that first trip on this season when she was talking this whole big thing about the sister.
and everybody, she couldn't make that last for 10 minutes with Erica and Derreet. And then we've
seen for the back half of this season her, you know, tripping over herself to try and get Kyle to
be her friend and to stand up for her and to, you know, be in her corner and to choose her side.
And it just isn't, it's not taking. It's not happening. It's not working for her. And, you know,
knowing that she always kind of had Garcel to fall back on as her number one, all of those
other things felt like, you know, an extra, you know, thing that she was trying to, a feather
in her cap. But without Garcel, I'm kind of like, oh, you're just a little bit adrift within this
group. And I think that Erica and Derreet specifically have less interest in making something
work with Sutton than they ever have before. So like, going into next season, it's like,
where do you go from there? It's not going to be good for her.
Speaking of Erica, though, Erica and Bose were on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night after the finale. And this was, you know, right after Garcel had announced that she was not returning to the show. And Andy asked them, you know, to comment on Garcel's departure. And they both sat there stone-faced for like 10 seconds. They said nothing. And then, you know,
Erica says, oh, Bose say something. And Boz says, oh, you say something. And Bose finally says that she
basically was disappointed that Garcel was leaving kind of in the way that she was. In the reunion
trailer, we see Garcel kind of storm off. And Erica says that they've known she quit for two weeks,
you know, alluding to what happens at the reunion. And he's like, well, we didn't know she quit.
and Erica's like, well, she didn't stay to take the cast photo at the end of the reunion. So that's how you know.
Like, okay, I guess whatever. People have come back from worse circumstances. I don't know. It's just
that clip, watching that clip from Watch What Happens Live, there was like a, just like an air of
nastiness a little bit. And to me, Garcel is somebody where I understand being frustrated with her.
I understand, you know, her not being your cup of tea.
I just personally don't feel like she's really done anything in her time on the show to warrant that sort of, like, real prickliness.
Like, just say, like, oh, yeah, she wasn't my favorite.
Wish her well.
Just say you wish her well.
Say, like, what would that cost you?
I don't know. Erica kind of on one in the finale, in the watch what happens live, she seems a little bit, yeah, prickly, just maybe more than usual. I don't know what that is. Because she was really, really mad in the finale about this question or insinuation that Jennifer Tilly brings up, that she, that Erica and Derreet had a, the phrase that keeps getting brought up is cool.
coordinated attack on Sutton. And first of all, I'm like, was it a coordinated attack?
I don't know. Your definition may differ. Had Erica and Derreet discussed that they both had this issue with Sutton prior to St. Lucia? Yes? Does that mean that it's like this, you know, is it the signal group chat where you're talking about the plans? No, I don't think it was coordinated in that sense. But, like,
like I also it's like that's just not the worst accusation that somebody could make and I always
on shows like this when there's like a specific turn of phrase or a specific concept that just
sticks in someone's mind I mean it's the whole thing of the simplest version is when someone gets called
a liar and they're like no no no I don't lie that's not me. Erica is acting like a coordinated
attack is like this detrimental thing about her character. And it's like, well, you both don't
like the girl and you know that. And maybe that's a coordinated attack. Words mean different
things to different people. But yeah, the Beverly Hills finale was like kind of a downer.
And then it was really weird to me that the finale ended, you know, we're in St. Lucia.
First of all, that St. Lucia trip felt like a blip.
I think it was like two episodes plus a little bit, but then the finale ends and we have 10 minutes left.
And I'm like, oh, did they pick cameras back up for something?
Like, you know, last season it was the Kyle Separation News.
I don't remember anything that happened with Beverly Hills that was so, you know, meaningful or important or unexpected that they would, like, what's, what are these?
10 minutes going to be. And then it's a month later. And the big news that they had to pick cameras
back up for was that Tom Girardi was found guilty of fraud. Like, okay. Yeah. I, like,
duh. I also just, I guess in the larger multi-season arc of like Erica and Tom's,
you know, situation, I guess that's a relevant update. But, but.
But I just feel like Tom Girardi has been so far from this show for a couple seasons at least that Erica's so focused on her own, you know, she's getting new wallpaper as we heard 15 times.
She's focusing on pizza party behavior.
I just was kind of like, okay, this was really, this is the big finale.
This is the big capper that Kyle's going to go over to Erica's house and Erica's going to be like, it's not okay.
It's not over.
Girl, I guess. I mean, that's something where it's like, yeah, I'm sure it affects her emotionally. Go talk about it in therapy. I don't think that needs to be like the season finale. I don't know. Beverly Hills kind of missing the mark for me. I think the reunion is going to be probably spicier than a lot of the season was. The reunion, you know, preview looks pretty good. DeRue dragging Sutton and saying she doesn't live like the queen.
of Sheba and that her house is on a main road.
That's, like, such a good read.
Just such a good, like, housewives dig.
Kathy Hilton's saying that she told her daughters that she might be a lesbian to try and support Kyle.
Look, what's happening?
Also, I mean, Kathy Hilton's daughters are, like, 40 years old.
What is happening?
What are we doing here?
But we'll see.
Garcel, thank you for your service.
You know, not a surprise.
I'm not heartbroken over it, but, like, I will miss her.
I will miss her being a part of the group.
In many ways, I think that Garcel could have potential to be sort of like a Cynthia Bailey-style friend of where she just kind of like is around.
But at the same time, I don't think that Garcel needs or wants that.
Like, Garcel has other stuff going on.
Not that Cynthia doesn't.
That sounds mean.

The other departure probably made a little bit less of a splash.
Leva announced that she will not be returning to Southern Charm next season.
This kind of felt like an obvious thing.
I mean, she really was not a central figure at all.
this season. I thought her not going on the trip to the Bahamas was a pretty clear indicator that
she was not really invested in being a cast member on this show. And she put up a nice post,
a long caption where she said her personal life just isn't very salacious. I agree. She's
kind of resetting her priorities, yada, yada, yada. But the important part of this caption,
and I think kind of the bigger news, is she said, where you will see me is on Southern hospitality
in full force where I can focus my energy on the business and the show that has really found its footing this year, thanks to the fans, the bloggers, the Goat Network.
So this isn't TV goodbye. Just maybe you'll see me a little less. And that is music to my ears because Southern hospitality, I do think really found its footing this season.
And this definitely indicates that we're going to be getting more of it. And I would guess that this departure announcement was more of a conversation.
with the network, kind of a mutual decision that, like, Southern Charm, we can take a step back
from knowing that Southern hospitality is pretty much here to stay. And I think that this is an
exciting development. I won't say I'll miss Leva on Southern Charm, but I am, you know, happy to see her
on Southern Hospitality. And she did say maybe she'll be around like a party or two on Southern
Charm, which makes sense she's friends with a lot of those people. But
Southern hospitality, man, they're going to be back and it's going to be good.
So I think that this is like a positive announcement.
But cheers to Leva.
Also, and remember, if you like Southern hospitality, but you think that Leva has been
a flop on Southern Charm or taking up space or you don't want to see her, just remember,
if Leva had not joined the cast of Southern Charm, we would not have Southern hospitality.
So sometimes things run their course, that's okay.
can all be adults and move on.
Speaking of moving on, before we wrap up, I just want to, I want to talk about Summerhouse
a little bit more.
Like I said, Jesse and West on the episode last night, so we got into some of the details,
but this page and Craig situation, every week it feels like now on Summer House specifically,
we're getting a lot of good details.
And maybe last week, I can't remember what I said seven days ago, but I, I'm
might have complained about the amount of Paige and Craig conversation we were getting, but I think
I take it back. I think I take it back because Paige talking to Sierra after the party, or kind of
during the party, I don't know, they went up to the bedroom. First of all, Sierra getting on the
bed with her legs painted yellow, watching her like curled up on the comforter with yellow
body paint all over her.
I am not somebody who watches Summer House. I'm like, why are they in the bed all the time?
Why are they eating in bed? Why are they blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The body paint is where I draw the line.
Girl, wash your legs.
Oh, that made me feel itchy. But, um, no, Paige telling Sierra that Craig didn't want to talk on camera, on camera,
about how pages, business ventures, career stuff, whatever, is like bigger than his at this point.
That is so believable to me.
The idea that he would be like, well, chicken, I don't want to say on camera that you're on tour and I'm in Charleston doing nothing.
because then it makes it seem like I'm a loser and you're out of my league or whatever.
Like, I can just hear those words coming out of Craig's mouth.
And I 100% believe that he said that.
I also believe that he thinks that that is like a normal thing.
And that's part of the problem.
That's been the frustrating thing watching some of these conversations that they have.
seeing the things that Craig says and knowing that to him that's like totally normal, totally okay.
Like when he said the thing about being in a submissive relationship or her needing to work less,
it's like he's just talking through what he thinks is like the normal chain of events.
And I were watching Paige sort of in real time on the season of Summer House realized that like this.
this isn't going to get better.
And I think her sharing that fourth wall moment with Sierra and, I mean, also with us,
thanks, page.
Like, that to me is the clearest sign yet that it's like, oh, she, she kind of knows the direction
that this is going.
Now, the interesting thing is, like, they were filming this in July and she didn't
break up with him until after Thanksgiving.
Like, we're not going to get a full account of.
everything that happened in the fall. Because once Summerhouse cameras are down, you know,
the next thing we're going to get is the breakup scene or like the post-breakup scene.
But it does kind of make me wonder. I'm like, there must have been some more chapters of the
story from like September through November, some more ups and downs. Because it does seem,
like if Paige is where she is on the show right now in July, going another four,
or five months, that's a long time.
That's a long time.
To be talking about how your boyfriend's a hater and then wait, five months, I don't know.
I mean, it's a tough situation.
They were together for a long time.
Their, you know, lives and everything were very intertwined.
But I do like that we're seeing Paige kind of like really call it like it is a little
bit.
And the whole tour thing, she says in this episode, she's like, it's not like I'm going to war.
I am going to be, you know, touring cities in the U.S. for a few months.
And I have told him that he is welcome to come meet me anywhere that I am on tour.
The whole thing is that Craig, if he's less busy than Paige, they could be together all the time.
And so when she's like, when he's like, well, chicken, we never go more than a week without seeing each other.
It's like, okay, then get on a plane.
Get on a plane.
I mean, these people must have so many miles, so many points. Because when they talk about,
oh, well, I'm going to be in New York in three days, and then I'm going to go there, and then I'm
going to go there, and then I'm maybe back in Charleston. I'm like, I can't imagine just being at the
airport that much. But yeah, I, um, that fourth wall moment, man, I wasn't expecting that. That was,
that was interesting. The mid-season trailer for Summer House is looking pretty good to me. I got to
say we see that there's going to be a bit of a Lindsay and Carl confrontation over maybe that he's
been texting somebody. Is it Lil, the yoga instructor? I don't know. He's been texting somebody since
last summer. That sounds spicy. The toagate thing, I'm curious to see where that goes. I mean,
like some of you I've seen in the comments, I have my own questions about what happened in those 37
seven minutes, because that's a lot of time to get a toe sucked. But I don't know if we'll ever know
the full details. I do know that Lexi is not going to be happy when she gets back and finds out.
So, TBD on where that's going. I'm, of course, interested to see kind of the rest of the
page and Craig of it all. It's kind of a good season. Summerhouse is sometimes a little bit
of a challenge for me. It's not my favorite show the way that some people really, really love it.
But this season, I think there's a lot of interesting stuff going on, and I am having a good time.
And I hope you're all having a good time. I hope you've had a great time this week, and I hope
