Girl, winter is so last season.
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes.
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs.
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.

All her takes on many of the
Bravo shows that are airing right now
So please welcome to the show
Kara Berry
Hi, thank you.
for having me. This is like a dream. Thank you for being here. You are the host of a great podcast,
everyone's business, but mine, you talk about all of the same stuff that we talk about. And I,
you are also, I think this is an important distinction. One of the few people tweeting about
or posting about housewives and stuff these days on like Twitter X slash blue sky that doesn't
just annoy the shit out of me. Oh, thank you. I really appreciate that. I feel like,
Instagram is like a separate animal.
Like there's a whole different like community over there.
But like some of the some of the tweets and this, what do we call them a blue sky?
Skeets, I believe.
Yeah.
We're going to have to work through it.
The situation is not great.
And it hasn't been for a while, but it's just like it does feel blue sky is strange because I think I like it.
It's like less toxic than Twitter, but also I feel like there are 12 people on it.
Exactly.
There's not enough culture on there yet.
There's not enough memes.
Yeah, we need people to migrate because it feels like, like it is, it does feel a little bit safe, but it's also like, who's here?
Where are all my friends?
Right.
We need like, we need more like blue sky lore.
Fully.
Like I need a scandal.
I need a drama.
I need a catfish.
Something to tether me.
I was so excited.
We met for the first time just a few weeks ago.
Yeah.
The Watch What Crappins Golden Crappies awards show.
We were both presenting.
That was such a such a.
such a fever dream of me. Truly. And I'm sure you see way more Bravo Lebrides than I do, but
like walking into a room and locking eyes on Patricia Altruel is jarring. Yeah. Patricia is somebody
like, I have been around these people enough that it's like, okay, like Margaret Joseph's happy
to see her. I'm not Star-Struck. Patricia is like a little bit of an elusive creature. I mean,
she's in her 80s. She obviously doesn't live in New York.
York. She's not here all the time. She's never come to a reunion famously. Right.
She, I think I have seen her in person, maybe at BravoCon once, but like Patricia holding
court in the green room at the town hall. And that green room is like chaotic. Meanwhile,
she has like her own little VIP section. People are like coming to her to say hello. Like,
Patricia is truly one of a kind in this sphere. Honestly, like she was sitting in front of a mirror and I was like,
I need a little bit of space.
Can I, like, stand next to you and just look at myself.
She's like, sure, come over here, Donald.
We always got to fix our face.
Do it over again.
I'm like, yes.
I'm terrified, but you're right.
It is kind of impressive to me.
Southern Charmed this season were like 10 seasons in.
Patricia is still committed to being on the show, weighing in on the drama,
hosting these idiots at her house.
I feel like Patricia could have kind of like quiet quit that show a few.
few years ago. And she really hasn't. I think that's kind of, I don't know, admirable.
Choices are made. You can definitely find her on TikTok in the comment section defending her
rightful throwing on the show. People do not want her there. These like misogyny balls that she
has with these men's dinners are like so jarring for me. Patricia can be a little bit Lisa Vanderpump
coated. Yes. And we can leave it at that. With Lisa Vanderpump, I am, I am. I am. I
very interested to see how much she is or isn't appearing on screen in the new iteration
of Vanderbock rules. Because that has always felt like sort of one foot in, one foot out
these last few seasons. And I'm like, okay, so is having like a new young crop of people
an opportunity for Lisa to beat the star again? Or is she going to be like even more hands off
than she has been the last couple seasons? I don't know. I feel like the reason why we haven't
seen Lisa on Vanderpup the last couple seasons, because she loves a brink.
broken bird. And these people weren't really broken in the way that she prefers. They weren't
literally broke. They weren't like having to unplug the air conditioning so they can turn the
microwave on. Like these are wealthy people who have things to do. And so yeah, I think she needs
a new nest of like little baby broken. Right. She's like you all are still messes, but you're
living in million dollar homes. And that doesn't really like, that doesn't really satisfy my craving.
Nothing. My blood lest for helping people. She's like, I liked it better when sheena.
Didn't have a late to stand on...
Sheena.
How have you felt about Southern Charm this season?
We're on this trip to the Bahamas.
Well, I don't know if you knew this.
This might be like slightly breaking news.
But Sienna has gone on TikTok as of last night and exposed mention at all.
Okay.
So I saw that you had posted about this and I haven't watched all the videos,
but specifically she debunked what Whitney said.
Yeah.
So Whitney said on the show that she, that Sienna has...
had been basically trying to get with him before she got with Shep.
And so essentially implying that Shep is, you know, enjoying his sloppy seconds or sloppy
wanted to be seconds or something.
And Sienna's basically like, L.O.L. Not the case.
Yeah. She said not only did he reach out to me first. He DMed me first.
Our conversation was dry. It was just like, hi, how are you? Good. How are you? And that's
literally it. And then she said when I went to Charleston, I didn't even recognize Whitney because
apparently his pictures were giving catfish.
So.
I mean, truly, I feel like this season, we've reached a new level of like these dusty old men are really trying to punch above their weight class with the women.
Yeah.
And that's always been a little bit of an element on this show.
I mean, Whitney was not a young man when this show began.
Whitney's never been a young man.
Let's be fair.
I mean, he's closer to 60 than to 50.
at this point.
Shepard, I think, is like 46 or something.
Sienna is, what, 26?
26.
Like, it's just not happening for them in the way that they would like us to believe that it is.
And watching Shep and Sienna's dynamic or lack thereof this season has been just like.
Delightful?
The fact that he is willing to look like that on television.
is wild to me because it is so, like, humiliating.
Yeah, I'm loving it. This is my favorite, last week was my favorite episode of Southern
Charler for that very reason. To watch him be, like, sweaty, nervous, Craig's telling him,
sit down, take a little sip of water, put a shirt on, sir, like, calm down. I'm so confused
as to, like, why he's crashing out, but I love to see it.
watching him like even picking out an outfit or like trying he's like he's like yeah well uh uh i mean
obviously that's not what i'm gonna wear to dinner but like you know and kreck's like put a fucking
t-shirt on like i don't like it and he's wearing like cargo pants and flip flops and like a
golf polo and it's like i i even feel like if chef it would be one thing if shep was a 46 year old man
like trying to feel young but it's like i i even feel like if shepp.
It's like you're not even dressing like a guy in his 20s.
Like you're just dressing.
Right.
Poorly.
Right.
Yeah.
He looks like he just slithered onto like the fourth hole or whatever, like halfway drunk.
And yeah, I don't know what, like creating this moment of intimacy, like, she's going to pick my outfit out when she's like, I'll meet you downstairs.
Like I'm not going to watch you undress.
When she like, okay, is the shirt that he's picked out.
And she's like, okay, I'm going to give you some space.
And he's like, why?
Why?
Why?

Do you watch The White Lotus?
I have not started this season, but I'm going to.
So the first episode of this season just came out, and there's a moment toward the end.
This is not like a spoiler.
But one of the characters who lives in Thailand says that there's a phrase that they use for these middle-aged American men that come to Thailand and it's LBHs and they're losers back home.
And I'm like, Shep in the Bahamas, like, puppy-dogging, Miss Bahamas.
whatever, Sienna is giving loser back home.
It's like, go, go date anyone else.
Mike White, you got a season four, right here.
No, it's crazy.
And like, I just feel like also inviting the whole cast on this trip to celebrate your dismissal from this relationship.
It's just like, it continues to be shocking to me that he was, he wanted this to be his storyline.
on the show because I would be so mortified.
It feels very tactical in a way coming off of the season post Taylor and she's brokenhearted.
And now I think he maybe wants the like sullen, I'm sad boy edit and it's not working.
It just looks desperate.
Yeah.
Taylor, Taylor's an interesting.
She is interesting.
Character.
She in Gastone.
Mm-hmm.
But yeah, no, it's crazy.
it's just as like, for some reason, I feel like that show was so close a few years ago to being kind of just like over.
It was at a point where it was like, okay, what is this about anymore?
Has this kind of just run its course?
And somehow these last couple seasons, like they've gotten to this place of like morbid curiosity from me where I'm just like, these people cannot get it together.
And I guess that's something that is across the board.
something we like to see on Bravo.
I always believe that their best seasons of Southern Charm are the ones where the women
rebel.
So that whole season where like Catherine had it together and they were all like against Ashley,
Thomas's new whatever that was.
That was a killer season.
And then the season, last season with Olivia versus Taylor was an incredible season.
And yeah.
Yeah.
Like Southern Charm, it's like the men are obviously very important.
to the show and they have been there the whole time.
And like, it's, but it, the show works better when the women are sort of like equal partners.
Yeah.
And when it feels like the women are carrying just as much of the storyline.
And this season, like, obviously we talked about Shep and Austin and Craig's middle school boy falling out.
Like, that's a whole thing in and of itself.
But then I'm also, I'm interested in Molly and Sally, these new women that they've cast on the show.
I'm interested in Madison's full disdain for JT.
I'm interested in, I mean, I don't know if whatever Vanita and JT do or don't have going on is like a little bit car crash situation.
Mary.
I'm watching it.
Right.
I want to know what happens for sure.
Yeah.
It's interesting.
I'm missing Olivia.
I think axing her in favor of Taylor was an odd choice because we barely see Gaston.
we just see her.
Like, I call these people ghosts.
Like, people that we don't hardly see on the show, but it's like they take up so much space.
Yeah.
I find it very like, I don't care.
I'm not invested.
Yeah.
I feel like on Southern Hospitality, which is like one of the best shows.
Incredible.
In the game right now.
Like, there's been a little bit of that ghost, that ghost thing this season two where it's like,
okay, like Will's away at law school.
Right.
And we're talking about him a lot.
And Mia didn't show up until they were on this trip to Vegas.
Right.
We're hearing, I don't know, updates about Ms. Trinidad and Tobago.
And like, now that the whole cast is together in Vegas, I'm like, okay, this is, we're cooking with gas.
So good.
And I think Mia is like the perfect foil to be like, what is going on here, you know?
Because Joe can't, Joe doesn't have the capacity.
Yeah.
It's like, like Mia arriving at the Vegas trip is kind of like the, like, Ashley returns for in the bathroom moment.
What is it?
When Candice and Monique fought on Potomac, it's like, wait, I'm coming in on episode six and you're trying to sell me what story?
Right.
We're in a bar and with smashed wine glasses.
Like, what's going on?
You mentioned right before we started recording that you call these shows like the kid shows on Bravo.
And they're really, really delivering right now.
I think it's Southern Charm, Southern Hospitality, Summer House is freshly back.
Like, it feels like we have a lot of like...
I was going to say under 40, but that's not correct.
No.
We have a lot of, we have a lot of like seemingly youthful mess right now.
Right, right.
I am not even really feeling the absence of Vannertump Rules,
and I'm kind of like looking forward to the valley,
which I hope to not ever say in my life, but here we are, you know?
Yeah, it's, I think Vanderpump Rules, like, I miss it in a,
it's like in a box somewhere in the attic where I'm like,
oh, yeah, like that, I do miss that thing.
But, like, thankfully, I don't feel like we really need to be, like, sad about it right now.
Right. Right. Yeah. I'm kind of like, did you see Lady Gaga do her?
Yeah, she's going to miss Gina. Yeah. We're all going to miss Sheena.
Lady Gaga being a Vanderpump Rules Watcher, that feels surprising to me.
Right.
I could see her being, because, you know, like the Beverly Hills Housewives were in her music video back in the art pop days.
Shout up to Carlton. Yeah.
But, like, Lady Gaga sitting down and, like, firing up Vanderpump Rules on Peacock, like, it really is funny some of the celebrities that have, like, outed themselves as Bravo fans to really just, like, imagine their experience of watching a show like that.
No.
Like, imagine, like, Lady Gaga's, you know, doing choreo and, like, figuring that out and then also thinking about the dynamics of, like, Sheena and Brock and, like, what's that all about?
Like, that's, it's like unlikely animal friends.
Like, what is this turtle doing with a monkey?
You know?
That happened.

Watch only on Prime.
We've seen this on Watch What Happens Live a few times where they'll have like an actual celebrity guest and then they surprise them with brahlo-lebrities and like Sarah Paulson's like freaking out because Dorinda's there and it's like the idea that like Lady Gaga could conceivably be starstruck by Sheena.
It's so wrong.
I like can't even compete that in my brain.
No, it is it's wild.
And I'm actually really hoping that we don't see that much Vanderpomper.
rules crossover on the valley this season because I'm like, okay, like Lala coming on this show
was not something I was missing in season one.
Hello.
So I'm like, let's let it breathe.
Right.
And yeah.
Leave that over there.
The box is in the attic.
Leave them there.
Yeah, I don't need Lala on my television.
And that felt really great to say.
Okay.
Like ever?
No.
Okay.
I'm good.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's such a delicate thing.
Like, there are those people where it's like I would watch them on any show in any format, competition, reunion, girls trip, whatever.
And there's some people where I'm just like, some people come into your life for like a reason or for a season.
It's like, thank you for seven seasons.
Thank you for your time.
Throw them out to the pasture where they belong.
Yeah, I think, I don't know, like Summer House.
is in an interesting place with that this season because like we we got the Lindsay and Carl out of the way this episode.
Easy breezy.
Easy breezy.
A little, a little awkward, but a little sweaty, a lot of sweat, but for the most part good.
I feel like the two of them can walk out of that episode feeling pretty good about the way they handle things.
Lindsay complimented Carl on making the steak.
They look beautiful.
They looked beautiful.
Carl got to say congratulations.
to Lindsay. I do think like, I wish Lindsay would lay off the like, I don't care. It doesn't bother me.
I'm unfazed. Just like, I feel like she's hitting it like 10% too hard.
You think. Just, not that I think that she is like secretly melting down on the inside or anything,
but just that it's like, we, we know that you feel like you have won this breakup or are doing great.
or obviously, you know, happy to be pregnant, yada, yada, yada.
But it's like, it's okay for it to be like a little bit weird that you're in this house with your ex.
And for you to say like, I literally don't give the fact that he's here.
It's like, okay.
A little salt thing.
Kyle of his full paw in the bag of salt.
Yeah, you're right.
But I think on like the same note, I feel like Carl is like maybe overestimating how much.
she cares. Like, he's going into this situation like, I don't want her to come at me. I don't want her to
yell at me. And as somebody who was like kind of a Carl defender last season, now I feel like
you're doing a little bit too much, babe. I don't think she cares about you as much as you think.
Yeah, it was funny. Like the transition from episode one into episode two where Carl is like pacing
around the house and he needs a minute and he's talking to production in the driveway and like,
hyperventilating a little bit. And then he like goes out to the backyard and doesn't even
speak to Lindsay.
Right.
Until later that day, I'm like,
okay, so it's fine.
Right.
It seems fine.
West versus Sierra, though,
another animal.
I think it's so interesting
that out of those two
failed relationship dynamics,
that the one that's like
more, you know,
contentious and more uncomfortable
is this like
five-month situation ship.
Right.
Versus like you had planned a wedding together and then got dumped.
Right.
The fact that West and Sierra have so much more like,
it feels like there's more like hurt feelings and, you know, anger and just like it feels so like,
the edges are so jagged kind of.
Yeah.
But like, first of all, West, sir, like, you showed up to the reunion, fully unprepared to talk about
this thing that there was a 100% chance of you having to talk about.
Thank you.
And then you show up to film the season a couple months later.
And it's like he hasn't learned his lesson at all.
At that dinner when it comes up, it's like he still is just fully unequipped to say any of
the right things.
And I don't understand it.
I don't understand it either.
I never understand this.
Like, you know you're going to reunion and you know that you're the villain and there's
something that you're going to have to answer for.
Think about it.
Think about it. So now we had like the months between the season and the reunion and then the months between the reunion and them going back in the house and still nothing.
Right. And I think, you know, it seems like post-reunion, he was feeling that backlash and that, you know, people weren't happy with him. And his reaction to that was to do all this press and to give these interviews, which like, you know, these people are on a reality show. It's not, I don't think it's necessarily that.
he should have not said a word and kept his mouth shut until they went to film.
But clearly, Sierra feels like the way that he was speaking to the press was way more informative and, you know, way more context than she was ever given personally.
And so I feel like he should have, instead of channeling his energy into doing like damage control interviews, he should have channeled his energy into like, how am I going to come into this season with an energy that is going to like, like, I think.
it's okay for somebody on a show like this to have that like self-preservation mindset and to want to be liked by the audience but like the better way to do that would be by like treating sierra well it feels so simple yeah um yeah i i don't understand why he's so
and and like we see lindsay tell him hey what i don't know what happened but it seems like she's very hurt we see after she confronts him at the dinner table that kyle
like, hey, it took a lot for her to say that.
Maybe you should try to, like, honor her feelings.
Yeah, and you're right.
Like, he's so much more interested in getting it on print and doing his little duck mouth thing in another photo.
Then he is actually resolving it with Sierra.
Like, everything, they tell him, like, hey, she's hurting.
And he's like, I hear you.
But, like, I really want to be liked.
So, like, going into that room at the end of the episode and being like, are, am I going to have a bad summer to Sierra?
Like, if it was me, I'd be like, yes.
And I'm just there at him.
You can tell that Sierra,
Sierra's feelings about West are not resolved.
Very, yeah.
Because the way that she's handling it,
it is that kind of messy combination of like still some feelings there,
but also being really hurt and being angry and maybe confused.
And just sort of like, why was I not given this?
you know, opportunity to have this conversation.
Right.
Why am I in Scotland filming traitors?
And then I come back and you're, you know, it's like very like Miley and Nikki.
Like this bitch had a lot to say about me in the press the other day.
West, what's good?
Like, I think that I have really appreciated in these first couple episodes of the season, Sierra's
vulnerability.
Because I think that's something that doesn't come easily to her.
I don't think that's her.
It's not comfortable.
Right.
In the confessional, when they're asking her, like, leaving the reunion, did you think there was a chance for you guys?
And she's like, I don't want to answer that question because it makes me look dumb.
Right.
Right.
And we've already been on this, like, around with her before with Austin.
And it makes me feel even more, even that much more empathy for her because I feel like she was very clear with West.
Like, I hold my cards very close to my chest.
I don't give myself unless I feel like it's real.
And I'm dying to know what happened in that post-reunion conversation because clearly she felt like there was a window or a door open or something.
I'm really wondering what was said.
Yeah.
The like interactions around a reunion are always interesting because they're, I mean, they're never filmed.
But sometimes we do get these little like tidbits of like, oh, like we went to dinner after in two separate groups.
And it was interesting who was at which dinner or like everybody hung out.
for this person or in this case that they went and got drinks after the reunion and yeah like
Sierra felt like if West hadn't done these press hits that they would have been at least
fine to just coexist and so it is kind of like I don't know with with West it's like I
get that he just wants to be like the the fun bro who like has fun and
is a dude, but it's like, you clearly knew that there was some damage to control.
Right.
It's always, it's frustrating to me.
I mean, I've kind of felt this way watching Beverly Hills this season, some of the decisions
that Kyle has made in handling her situation with Derreet and like her, you know, larger
situation that it's like, if you actually take a step back and think about what is going
to make this play better, it seems like you would know that you're not doing the thing that's
going to make it play better.
Thank you. It is so confounding to me. Kyle, especially because she is like an OG. And for her to watch us, to watch her like crash out and clearly like, I don't know. Like she doesn't know what's going on or she does what's going on. She just doesn't want to be accountable for it and like screaming in her bathroom. That's wild.
When she reading that, reading that wild text like four different times and every time acting like you can't possibly understand why it's an issue. And it's like, girl, like read it again.
It goes from worse to worser every time you say it.
Like I'm, yeah.
I, we don't talk.
I just vowed a blood oath to PK forever.
What's the problem?
I never have and I never will.
Huh?
Like, I don't, I don't feel like I speak like that ever.
To anyone.
Not even my mama.
Like, what's going on?
Wild.
Yeah, I was, I feel like this week on Beverly Hills,
Kyle and Doreet like finally had a little bit of a breakthrough conversation.
like at the 4th of July party when Kyle is seeing that Doreet's house is a big stye.
Right.
She's like, wait, there's like shoeboxes everywhere.
Right.
This isn't normal for you.
And that she would put that on camera.
It was really shocking.
I agree.
Because Doreet is somebody where I'm like, I don't feel like I know the layout of Dorete's home from this show.
Like we don't, we're not seeing every nook and cranny.
We're seeing like vignettes.
Right.
Yeah, that was shocking, honestly.
But like, good on Dorete.
This is Doreet's, like, Jordan season for me.
Are you loving her?
Yes.
I think that Doreet has played her hand so well this season.
Mm-hmm.
Because she is somebody that, like, she is, like, her, like, persona is iconic.
Like, she is so singular and kind of, like, her whole vibe.
But, like, the last couple seasons on this show, people have not been loving her in large part.
Myself included.
people were kind of like okay like what else is going on like we've seen we've seen this for
several seasons now like a shoe needs to drop or something's got to give and like it felt like the
compared to last season how kyle and maricio chose to sort of like roll out their separation
like der reet has been handling it in such a way this season that like she's like she has a lot
going on in her personal life, but also she's so activated in her dynamic with Kyle. And I think
her new friendship with Bose, I think, has sort of added a nice layer to her situation this
season. Like, she is, like, so captivating. And, like, Candy Burst is one of my favorite housewives
because she always comes receipts and she always, like, if I said something, you guys are
going to be able to run that tape back and know that I was not lying. And this is what Doreat's been able to
do with Kyle. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, and like the first few episodes. And that is so
satisfying to watch. I, yeah, no, I, Candy, to me is so underrated. Thank you. Because I think that,
like, people, there are valid criticisms of like, oh, she didn't always have the most interesting
storyline, whatever, sure. But, like, she played such an important role, like, a mechanism in the
group, I think. And, and Doree, yeah, she's, she's pushed so much story forward this season. Yeah. And I
think, yeah, it's like Kyle has just sort of been on the opposite side, just like on the back foot the whole season. And even on this week's episode when Bose was saying that she feels like they haven't connected that well or whatever. And Kyle was like, oh, I feel like we've really connected. And all the flashback moments they show are like the most fluffy, trivial. Like, oh, she took a picture of her. Or it was like at the spa day when she sits down, she's like, ooh, this is nice. That's not a connection. That's like you, that's like you. That's like you.
That's you, like, being cordial.
Right.
You went to her house post-surgery to get her on your side.
That wasn't you guys bonding.
Like, I don't know what she's talking about.
Yeah.
It's strange.
Oh, my God.
Speaking of Candy, I just saw yesterday on TikTok.
Somebody had posted the moment where Kenya gets her house and sees the smashed window.
And she calls Candy.
Like, like.
Candy has that fuck-ass ringback tone.
Ringa, linga, linga, linga, linga,
hopefully I answer by the time and finish thing.
And it's just like, God damn it.
In the midst of an emotional hurricane.
And here's Candy with her voice,
her callback voicemail, wow.
Truly, that just made me laugh.
I had to watch it like six times in a row.
It was just like, do it again, play it again.
No, it's so, like, it's so important to have those people
that are really just going to, like, carry forward.
The glue. Yeah. Yeah, like Candy was friends with most people. She kept the peace with most people. And like, I appreciated her for that.
But how do you feel about Beverly Hills kind of like as a 360 this season? Obviously, we're into Doreet. We have some questions for Kyle. Like, do you think this season as a whole is working?
I think it's been for me much better than like previous seasons. The late end of Rina was very tough for me. And so I'm liking like it's a little bit more light. I'm like.
liking the kind of like, I like when we break up a conglomerate of like the Fox Force 5 and like seeing how
they manage, because I knew, I knew this was going to blow up and I saw it. Like that's a Raven to
it. And I'm loving it. So yeah, this is very satisfactory for me. Yeah, it is funny because the Fox
Force 5 thing seems like such a distant memory at this point. Like it feels like that unit hasn't
really existed in a couple seasons. But like there was a time on Beverly Hills where that literally felt like
the mafia. It was like how is anybody actually going to be able to penetrate this group of women? And it was so
frustrating watching whole storylines that would have been interesting or whole, you know, threads that
we should have followed just kind of be like clipped out of nowhere because it was like, oh, well,
you know, the person who would have to bring this up would be like Erica or Derreet. And it's about
Teddy or Rina or Kyle. So like it's just, it's, it's a no go. Right. And they were just,
protecting each other in this like very annoying way to watch on camera.
Yeah.
Like that doesn't that doesn't really ever work out.
Never.
Because these shows, the whole nature of it is that like to a certain level, everyone is expendable.
Not not everyone, but like it works better when people feel like they have to work a little.
Yeah.
That's why Potomac is so great.
Yes.
I want to talk about the Potomac Reunion because I haven't had a chance to talk about it yet.
And I watched part one last night.
And the Mia, the Mia birthday trip situation, I, look, it is fascinating to me how pretty much every single woman on this show will call Mia a liar to her face.
To her face. Like that is, it's such an established fact at this point that Mia just lies.
But specifically this birthday trip situation that happened after the season had wrapped, it was just like in December.
Right.
Stacey and Jazzy being invited via text to her birthday trip in Miami and then saying they were going to go and then arriving and basically being ghosted by Mia.
That is mind-boggling to me.
I don't have the capacity to be a good friend right now.
What?
When she, I think she said, she said, I'm in a really tough season of life right now.
And I can't remember who said it, but they were like, it's going on like a three-year season.
I think it was Kiara.
It was so funny.
Yeah, she is wild.
Like, I don't have the capacity to be a good friend is like, I can't text you back as often, not you're flying down to Miami and I'm just ghosting you.
If you don't have the capacity to be a good friend, don't host a birthday trip where you are inviting people out of the state.
Also, like, I don't, maybe this is like a rich people thing and I just am not aware, but like having a birthday trip that you're inviting.
people on, but everybody's just making their own arrangements and it's like, oh, I'll see you
when you're there.
Right.
That was strange to me.
It's like, okay, like, if I'm going to Miami for my friend's birthday trip, I'm assuming we're
like coordinating flights and hotel and everything.
Right.
This seems like it was a like, if you, if you want to come, come.
Fly to Miami and if you happen to be near my birthday dinner, then show up.
Yeah, it's everything that me is weird.
But also nine, but more like 11.
Right.
And the lies, the lies of her.
texting Stacey an hour after she allegedly showed up like midnight.
I'm not understanding the whole point of contact situation.
Like at no point when she invited you, did you guys speak like, oh, I'm so excited to come to Miami?
Like no conversation leading up to that?
I don't get it.
And Mia was claiming that she didn't even know that they were going to be there.
How was that possible?
Right.
To me, in my logistical brain, there are so many steps between Stacy being like,
sounds great, would love that, and then it being time for dinner.
And you're at the restaurant.
I'm like, you're not saying, like, here's my flight.
Let me know if, you haven't, meanwhile, Mia's like, well, I hired a POC and watching every
woman's brain just be like, probation officer?
Person of color?
Like, what?
Stacey's saying probation officer took me out.
But she's like, point of contact.
It's like, okay, so you got a party planner.
Right.
But it, yeah, no, that whole.
situation to me it's like so first of all I actually felt bad for Stacey in that moment because I'm like to think of like going out of your way and traveling for someone's birthday and then fully getting ghosted thinking of her like standing at that restaurant like for an hour that's crazy that is insane and I I was kind of proud of Stacy when so they break for this is at the end of episode of part one they break for they said five minutes
but then Stacey's like fully changed out of her dress.
I'm so confused.
But Mia goes into her room, her and Jazzy's room, which I thought was like a little
manipulative, that she goes into the room and she's like, I am sorry.
I, you know, I just want to say I'm sorry.
And for Stacey to be like, I can't, it feels, it doesn't feel genuine, it feels
I can't take that in right now.
I was like, yes, stand your ground.
Thank you.
Yeah, she needs to hear that.
She needs somebody to hold her accountable.
And I love to see it.
Do you think she's coming back?
Mia?
Yeah.
That's a good question.
Maybe it depends how the rest of the reunion plays out because it looks like,
so at the end of part one she says she's leaving, she clearly comes back to the couch.
Right.
But then we see her say, again, in the preview for part two, that she's leaving.
So like, if they can talk her off the ledge and she stays till the end and is able to sort of like,
even if it feels a little phony, if she's able to kind of like humble herself.
Maybe, I mean, I do think that she is a fascinating person to watch.
But this season, I feel like the storyline with her family situation had a, it seemed very promising.
And then watching it play out just kind of spiraled into a little bit of a dark place.
And it felt like it was sucking a lot of the oxygen.
Fully.
out of the room. So I don't necessarily feel like it ended up being a great season for her, even like she was in a bad place, but it was great TV.
Right.
So I think it depends. Like, I think there could be a path forward for her on the show, but it also depends, like, how much they feel like they have going on with other people. Is Karen going to be available for next season? That's a lingering question whether it would even be good for her to be on the season.
Ashley's divorced now.
I think Wendy had a great season.
I think Jazele had a good season,
kind of riding the ship a little bit.
I don't know.
What do you think about Mia coming back?
I think that she'll play the game.
I think it's really a matter if she's going to be asked back.
I think if she is asked back, she'll probably be like,
I don't know, like him and haw about it and get the drama and like want to have people
be like, we want you back.
And then she'll do it.
But whether or not they will ask her back,
I'm not sure because social media does not want any parts of her.
Yeah, I agree.
I think if she's asked, she would do it because, to be honest, like, what else is she going to do?
Right.
Like, I don't know if the joint chiropractic is, she's not a CEO the same way she was claiming to be when she first arrived on the show.
Yeah.
But I do feel like, yeah, this cast feels much less broken than it did a year ago.
And so I think at the time, it almost felt like Mia's.
the implosion of her marriage and her situation with ink was like a bright light in a in a dark time that it was like oh well at least there'll be that and like it didn't really work out that way the darkest thing of all
I mean maybe we have this statement from Karen that's oh right tough somehow like these DUIs with Karen and Shannon there's somehow a dark night that ends up like being worse than them and yeah I did think like I thought it was interesting they play this video
message and she's thanking um jazelle and she's thanking jazzy and whoever else notably not wendy
yeah and i actually really appreciated that wendy was not that sympathetic to karen i agree because she
was like she talked about me behind my back to stacey she didn't treat me like a friend and now
she's in this situation and like it sucks for her i do regret
inviting her to the White House.
And I think like the other women in the group, or at least some of them, seem to have this
instinct that it's like, oh, no, we should be nice.
We should be nicer.
We should be softer to Karen right now.
She's going through it.
And like, I don't know.
It is what it is.
Like, I feel like once we all realize that during her discovery phase of the DUI, that she
knew that that footage could potentially come out and yet decided to go to trial anyway.
Right.
Oh.
it's hard to come back from.
Right.
And she, so they postponed the sentencing because she was still in her treatment program.
So we don't know what the sentence is going to be.
But like, next week.
The guilty verdict and the videos, it just is like, that doesn't.
I mean, of course I wish her healing and whatever she needs to do for her own personal well-being.
But I'm like, that doesn't make me feel like, oh.
Right.
Well, no, go easy on her.
I'm like, no, like, that's crazy.
Right, right.
I mean, you can cry in that bucket hat all you want, but like, you're nothing for me, ma'am.
Yeah, I don't know.
I thought Wendy had a great season.
I have been begging people to just let off Wendy and let her be fun.
Yeah.
And finally, she's gotten that, thanks to the breakup of the green-eyed bandits, in my opinion.
And I'm, yeah, I'm loving her.
She was funny.
She was punchy.
She was just like a bright light.
I loved her explanation.
at the reunion of how her like trust fund incentives work for her because she was like she's like
if they get master's degrees they get a bonus if they learn to speak ego they get a bonus if my
daughter joins my sorority she gets a bonus I'm like okay sleigh I love that I love that and then it was
like people thought it was like shady at the beginning and then just I was like that's smart right
good girl once she heard about the sorority because they're part of the same one she was like I'm with you
I'm totally with you.
What do you think about Ashley after this season?
I would prefer not to do that.
Ashley is interesting to me.
I, did we come out with healing and thriving?
Is that on Spotify yet?
I don't know.
Okay, I'm going to look after this.
But do I need Ashley?
It would be interesting to see her now that she's finally gotten out from Undergallum, like what that might be like.
So I could give her another season.
Yeah, it is kind of, it almost.
my question there though
like I historically have liked Ashley a lot
despite some of her
I don't know transgressions
but like I kind of feel like that's what we got this season
where it was like oh like Ashley's single
she's flirty she's fun she's dating this
guy that she met at speed dating
which definitely wasn't staged right
but then it's like okay so next season
she's going to be like more single
and more freewheeling
like it just kind of to me I'm like
I don't quite
know like what's next for her.
I don't think she does either.
Which is okay.
We can figure out what are we doing with DNA.
That was watching them try to explain that.
They're like, no, it's, it was very much like, it's more lifestyle joggers, September,
spring, summer.
They're not selling clothes, but they are going to be selling clothes, but it's, it's not a
profit making.
They're like some kind of liaison between health and wellness, like, okay.
They're like, we talk to the.
charity.
Right.
We're with the community.
Okay.
It was so, it's so confusing.
Which is fine.
Is it?
I mean, it gives them an opportunity once a season to host an event with a logo slap on it.
That's true.
And presumably some amount of money is being donated, which is.
Are we registered as the 5013C?
Like, what's going on here?
Well, but if they're just, if they're liaising with the charity, maybe they just, they're like
a Venmo account.
Can you register a Venmo account as a 501c3?
There's only one way to find out.
Maybe that's her storyline.
Ashley's storyline is going to be philanthropy.
She's like, I'm making a brighter future for Dean and Dylan.
Exactly.
Get them off of that kitchen island and out there in the world, you know?
I do think, I think Stacey will be back.
Oh, yeah.
No doubt.
Stacey is, to me, fascinating.
So fascinating.
Because she came on like kind of a.
Pollyanna, like a QVC.
And now we're seeing she's like a little bit like Sandy with her leather jacket on.
Like she's getting a little bit of a bad girl and a bass in her voice and I'm loving it.
I really like when she gets a little activated and gets a little bit like those edges roughed up a little bit.
She kind of reminds me of when Kenya more first joined housewives where like Kenya's whole thing was like, I am Miss USA.
I'm doing acting.
I'm so polished.
My dream is to have a husband and a baby.
And then when Kenya like gets down in the mud, obviously she can get down lower than anybody else.
The Detroit pops out of both of them.
To her own detriment.
But I'm like, I'm like, Stacey, I think we have just sort of started to just sort of started to rub off that layer of polish in a way that is very intriguing to me.
Delightful.
It is so funny to me.
So funny.
And I can't wait.
I can't wait to see her second season bitchflage.
Flower bloom, if you will.
Watching her kind of realize and come to accept that she had been used by Karen, that was, I mean.
And then the choice to be like, you know what, where I'm going on camera and I'm going to mention it all.
I want to go to Talley Ho.
What would you get?
Would you get French toast?
Probably.
You think they have like the Karen Heger special?
Oh my God, the Karen, yeah.
Is that problematic now?
Are you going to take it off the menu?
Oh, yeah, her fallen soldier.
Who else is the head of the Talley Hill restaurant?
It is funny for her to be like, when I come back, I'm not going to be the Granta.
I'm just going to be Karen.
It's like, this is made up.
This is not real.
You're staging a whole thing.
What are you talking about?
You got two points out of status behind you.
Yeah, it's interesting.
The whole idea of like an alter ego or like a persona on these shows that like even for
Giselle to acknowledge that like getting to know Karen off the show, not.
as the Grand Dame.
She's such a, you know, such a great person, so such a good friend, whatever.
And it's like, I kind of don't like that you're basically pulling back the curtain and being
like, who you see on the show is not real.
Totally different.
Like, obviously in my brain, I'm like, some of this is performance.
But it's kind of like, don't, don't tell me that you're playing a character.
I don't want to know.
Like, because I always, a lot of the housewives and stuff that I've met, I do feel like they
are at least a version of what you see on screen.
And I'm like, I don't really want to hear that this is like a performance art.
Right.
Like, who is Karen Hugar?
Who is Karen Hugar?
Will the real Karen Huger please stand up?
I don't know.
I just don't know.
I don't know if we're...
Is she going to be back next season?
I don't know.
She can be behind bars.
I'm scared.
I'm scared too.
But we're scared together.
Terrified together.
Kara, this has been so fun.
This is great.
Thanks for being here.
