Starting point is 00:00:48 Today is a special episode. It is Labor Day, so we are digging into the Bravo Vault, and I am going to talk all about the Rachel Zoe Project. That's right. This is the first time I have ever watched the Rachel Zoe Project. I am, you know, I'm doing some history homework. I'm catching up on some things from Bravo era's past that I have missed. And what better topic to talk about on this, on this presumably beautiful September day? I don't know. I'm recording in advance. Then 2008's fashion renaissance in Los Angeles and a very monotone, very skinny blonde woman by the name of Rachel Zoe. And I'm excited to get into it. There is a lot. I'm excited to get into it. There is a lot of, a lot to unpack on this one. So I am not going to waste any time. Okay, so to set the scene, the Rachel Zoe Project ran on Bravo for five seasons from 2008 to 2013. These are short seasons,
Starting point is 00:01:47 so baby, you can power right through them. It's streaming all on Peacock. I watched for this, the first five episodes of season one. So that's what we're going to be kind of covering today, but also just a little bit of table setting, a little bit of context for the Rachel's O project, as a whole because this one, when I talked about Tabitha's salon takeover last week, that was a pretty, um, it felt like a pretty, uh, low effort binge where it was like, okay, like she's walking into the salon, she's going to take it over. She's going to fix it. Rachel's Zoe is a little bit of a more complicated character. Tabitha is just like an Australian lesbian living in New Jersey, and I love that for her. And when I did my little dive into Rachel Zoe as a person, there's a lot there.
Starting point is 00:02:35 So this show started in 2008. And obviously, for Rachel to get this show, she had to be somebody. And Rachel Zoe, prior to this show, had really made a name for herself as a stylist in Hollywood. And specifically, she was associated with the rise of this boho chic kind of fashion aesthetic in the 2000s, which is, you know, skinny women with big hair and flowy dresses and flowy skirts and big chunky jewelry and big sunglasses and a big hobo bag. And that aesthetic, it's, wow, I'm going to talk a little bit more about the styling later, but just, let's just say it's a very dated aesthetic, but watching
Starting point is 00:03:21 the show, you can tell that at the time this was kind of like it for a lot of people. But what's interesting about Rachel Zoe's public persona before this show ever even premiered was, yes, she was known for styling these high-profile a list actresses and, you know, sending gowns down the red carpet and all of this stuff. But she was also kind of a tabloid fixture. And a lot of the conversation about her in the public eye was specifically about thinness and potential eating disorder stuff. I guess I should say a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a public eye was specifically about thinness.
Starting point is 00:03:57 trigger warning for eating disorders. I'm not going to get too deep into any, you know, let's just say they don't speak about eating disorders on this show for better or for worse. But I'm going to talk about the conversation around it a little bit. So basically, one of Rachel Zoe's most notable clients before this show came along was Nicole Richie. They worked together from 2005 to 2006 and, you know, they have this public relationship. And Rachel Zoe was really one of the first people to sort of, be in the public eye as a stylist. If you watch the first episode of the Rachel Zoe Project now, it almost seems a little silly how we're getting this very, very elementary base level description
Starting point is 00:04:39 of who is a stylist, what do they do, what kinds of people do they work with, what is their job? And obviously, I mean, some people in 2024 are going to know more about how this industry works than others. And I, you know, even I don't proclaim to be the foremost expert, but, you know, I'm online. I pay attention. But thinking back to 2008, this was really a new thing. Even beyond stylists, the idea that people that were sort of celebrity adjacent were suddenly public figures in their own right and people that we were paying attention to and there was coverage in the tabloids and they had their own companies that they were launching. and, you know, with social media just sort of beginning to take form in this era, people like stylists, trainers, you know, assistants and, you know, chefs and, you know, all of these kind of maybe, I don't want to say second tier, because that makes it sound like a negative thing, but people that are like not the, not the actor, not the singer, but like the people who are in the
Starting point is 00:05:51 orbit of those people. And I think Rachel Zoe kind of was that archetypal like celebrity adjacent person who then sort of became a celebrity in the mid to late 2000s. But like I, you know, kind of reeling us back in, there was this speculation around her that she was sort of promoting this eating disorder like heroin-cheek kind of look. And, you know, there was this reputation that a lot of the women she worked with were extremely thin, and there was this term, uh, Zobots that was coined at some point that like she was basically sending these like skinny little boho chic fashion robots out into the world. Um, and this all kind of ties back together because when Nicole Richie stopped working with Rachel in 2007 or in 2006, there was this kind of wild, um, incident where Nicole posted
Starting point is 00:06:49 a blog post, again 2006 we're talking about. And it was later deleted, but this is the quote. What 35-year-old raisin face whispers her order of three pieces of asparagus for dinner at Chateau every night and hides her deathly disorder by pointing the finger at me? And used her last paycheck, I wrote her, to pay for a publicist instead of a nutritionist. Hint, her nickname is lettuce cup. Oh my, like, who. It's like, I want to laugh, but at the same time, deathly disorder.
Starting point is 00:07:27 And I don't know if you guys remember this. Maybe I'm just the right age, but when I was like a teenager going to like the grocery store with my mom or something, every time seeing the magazine covers by the checkout and it was always, it was always speculating about somebody having an eating disorder, whether it was Nicole Ritchie, whether it was, you know, I don't need to name names. But like, this was such a thing in this period in celebrity culture. And now Nicole Ritchie is like, don't look at me, look at her. Of course, she didn't name her by name. But Rachel then responded to TMZ after this. And she said, after trying to be a good friend to Nicole, we made a mutual decision to sever our working relationship.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Changes are inevitable in any business relationship. I am fortunate to have a wonderful life. I have been married for 10 years and have been a stylist for 15 years. And I am lucky to work with a diverse group of women of all shapes and sizes that inspire me every day. I have nothing but love for Nicole and wish her only health and happiness. Okay. First of all, um, the voice, we'll, we'll talk about it. It's so funny to me that in this statement, she calls out that she works with a diverse group of women of all shapes and sizes that inspire her every day. Because having just watched the first five episodes of this show, that's nearly the entire first season, I have not really noticed all shapes and sizes on this show.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Just, yeah, it's not something that is really reflected in the material. I don't, you know, I haven't through and looked at every person Rachel's O has ever worked with. So maybe she's telling the truth, but she certainly wasn't getting those clients in for fittings when the Bravo cameras were rolling. But we'll talk more about that. But then there was also this kind of side thing about Rachel that tabloids were talking about, that there was speculation that she was not only working with very thin women, but that she was even prescribing them or providing them with weight loss medication, possibly from Mexico. This, again, this is very like 2000s tabloid stuff, alleged, alleged, alleged, like who knows what was actually happening. I would love
Starting point is 00:09:50 to have like the real tell all, but I don't know if we'll ever get that. But she specifically did deny that to W Magazine in 2007 saying, there was something that came out about me giving horse pills or diet pills from Mexico to my clients. Anyone who knows me, they laugh. I'm so drug clueless. I'm so drug clueless. If I can get through a glass and a half of wine at a night, that's a momentous occasion. Again, I don't think that it feels a little deflection-y because it's like, nobody was saying that you drink a lot or that you're like a crazy party girl. So you saying that you can only drink a glass and a half of wine in a night doesn't really, like, what does that have to do with diet pills for Mexico? Again, I don't know if the diet pills for Mexico thing was true or ever happened or was like
Starting point is 00:10:34 completely made up. But it just is funny because, I feel like the whole conversation around this is just so, like, it's kind of a bad faith thing from every angle. Because you know that the tabloids that are speculating about her behavior don't actually care about whether somebody is being harmed from these diet pills. They just think it's a salacious thing that's going to get clicks and is going to get people to buy the magazine. And then, you know, when Rachel's denying it, she's not denying it from a place of like, no, but I'm so body positive and I support women. And it's like, no, like, I literally can't even, like, I can't, I don't, yeah, I barely even drank, like, a glass of it. Like, all my friends would laugh. It's like, you, you didn't actually, you didn't actually respond to the, the accusation here. But all of this, I, you know, I wanted to talk about this because it's interesting and it feels like a sort of, like, lost to time narrative.
Starting point is 00:11:27 But I really felt like it was important context to then talk about the show itself, the Rachel Zoe Project, because there's this weird juxtaposition of all of this stuff, this tabloid stuff and the issues with Nicole and the questions about her, you know, the eating disorder stuff. All of that, I have to think, really contributed to why she was somebody who was getting her own show. You know, Rachel Zoe was not a household name in 2008. She was somebody who was certainly known in her industry and had gotten attention outside of that industry in the tabloids, but it's not the same as like, it's not the same as like when the Osbournes got a show or like, you know, when Jessica Simpson got a show. Like Rachel Zoe was really in this niche of, of this, the fashion world
Starting point is 00:12:20 and the intersection of fashion and Hollywood. And I think it's, it's a super smart idea for a show. But like, the reason that this specific woman was getting this attention had a lot to do with these kind of salacious things. And you would never know that from watching the show. So good, so good. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. Thank God for Wikipedia, because if I was just watching this in a bubble in 2008, I would have no idea that this woman even had this conversation around her. There is zero mention of eating disorders on this show.
Starting point is 00:13:54 There is zero mention of Nicole Richie on this show. Like that stuff, it's clear that that was just like not on the table. And the Nicole Richie thing I would have liked to. to hear about. I feel like that would have been interesting. I don't know if, you know, maybe Nicole was feeling litigious in those days and Rachel didn't want to get sued, or maybe she just didn't want to give kind of credence to the idea that part of her, you know, public profile was because of this, you know, controversy with a bigger celebrity. But the eating disorder thing, it's strange because watching it, maybe in 2008, I wouldn't have thought of this as I was watching it.
Starting point is 00:14:35 But you kind of can't not think about it watching the show in 2024. If you can, I guess good for you. But like, it's kind of palpable. Like, I mean, just looking at Rachel Zoe and then looking at the people around her, she always looks cold. She's always carrying like a giant coffee cup. The old Venti Starbucks cup with the old logo, it's like such a, it like takes me back. so strongly. But then I guess in a way, I'm kind of glad that they didn't broach the topic of
Starting point is 00:15:13 Disordered Eating on this show because I think they would have done a very bad job of it. And it probably would have been either offensive or at least cringe-worthy or just like really, they would have kind of laughed it off in a way that I don't think would be helpful to anyone. But there was one moment that I picked up on. So in the course of the show, if you've never watched it, Rachel Zoe is, of course, a celebrity stylist. She's working in Hollywood. She's going to Fashion Week to all the shows. She's been it with designers. She's made it with publicists. She's made it with stars. She's made it with blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She's very busy. She's very, very, very busy. If there's ever a question between personal life and work, work is always going to win, much to the chagrin of her husband, Roger. Roger with a D, by the way, R-O-D-G-E-R. They met when they were in college, they got married in their 20s, and they are still together, which let me tell you, watching these first five episodes of the show, if I was living in a bubble and was asked to make a guess whether these lovebirds were still together 16 years later, I think I would have said, no. But props to them, they have stayed married again for better or for worse. But in the course
Starting point is 00:16:28 of the show, every week there's some event or something happening where it's kind of day in the life of the zo camp, as they, as they say, which I just love because it's like, what are we doing here? The zo camp? It's like, is this, is this a political campaign? Like, I don't know. But so it's Rachel, and then she has her assistant, Taylor, whose hair looks like, she kind of has the permanent bedhead look. Like, it's like the blonde, kind of shaggy. Like, it's sort of like Justin Bieber's teenage hair, but platinum blonde. And then, just like kind of plastered to the side of her head, but always sticking up and always looking like she just touched one of those like metal conductor things that makes your hair stick up.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And then she like had 10 seconds to comb it down and then had to get on camera. That's kind of the aesthetic. So then there's Taylor who's been the assistant for a long time. And then we have Brad. And if you know anyone from this show, probably even more than Rachel, it's probably Brad Goreski. And when this show starts and it's such a great, um, They did such a great job kind of framing this.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Brad is brand spank and new to the Zo camp. And he is coming from more of like a vogue editorial background. And so he doesn't have experience doing like the personal styling. And so Rachel is really excited about having somebody from a different background. But Taylor wants to fucking kill him. The absolute disdain through the five episodes of this show that I have watched that Taylor feels for Brad Goreski in pretty much every moment is so funny to watch because literally he can't do anything right. She's like, I just don't know if Brad is going to have
Starting point is 00:18:18 what it takes. And then he like does the thing correctly. And she's like, I mean, I guess he did it this time. But like, it's going to be like that every day. So like he has to get used to it. And then he like starts to get used to it. And she's like, yeah, I just think he's annoying. It's like, it's okay to just say you don't like somebody. Just let it out. And she does. Taylor, I think, is on the show for the first couple seasons and then Brad leaves like after season three. But definitely they're kind of the core, the core of the show. And so we watch as they spend a lot of time in the studio and the closet in Rachel's house, which again, just like generally not a great arrangement if you're working full time in your boss's house. I feel like that just has a, it has a tend to
Starting point is 00:19:03 to lead to some not great vibes. But so they have celebrities coming in, people coming in for fittings. They do an edit to pull the things for the clients before they come. So the first person that we see, and one of the only people that we see is Joy Bryant. Joy Bryant, beautiful actress model, you know, great. Love to see her. She looks great in the clothes. But there's a moment when she's doing a fitting and they put this dress on her and it's a little
Starting point is 00:19:32 small, like it can't zip up in the back. And Joy, Joy, who is like a thin person is like, who is this even for? And Rachel, in her like monotone little like valley girl voices like, you know, ribless, boobless. And she's saying it like it's this like sick joke. And I'm like, Rachel, you're talking about yourself. You're the ribless boobless girl. So it's, it's like wild to watch that because they do not. engage with the conversation around eating disorders in any real way on this show. I don't know. It's kind of a mind fuck, to be honest. But speaking of Joy Bryant, one of the things that I have like been tracking on this show as I've been watching it is the dynamic of celebrities who
Starting point is 00:20:23 appear on the show versus celebrities who are only mentioned on the show and sort of name-dropped constantly because Rachel clearly, like, she is, she works actively with these A-list actresses, but there is clearly some divide of who is like willing to appear on this show and who is like, yeah, you can show like a Getty Images photo of me and a dress that you put me in, but I'm, I'm not going to do that. So we see Joy Bryant in the first season in two different episodes. The first episode, they're getting her ready for some fashion event in L.A. And then later for a couple episodes, they go to New York for Fashion Week. And again, they're getting Joy ready for some event. And you would think from watching this show that
Starting point is 00:21:13 Joy Bryant is like Oprah Winfrey. Like, it's like, today we have Joy Bryant coming in. And we have to find the perfect dress for her. She literally looks good in anything, but we have to find the right thing. Meanwhile, the second episode, they're, um, Their big thing is that they have to dress Deborah Messing for the Golden Globes. And this is so funny to me because Deborah Messing appears on the show, but not like in the show. So Joy Bryant in the first episode, she comes to Rachel's house for a fitting. And then again, we see her like getting ready for the event. Deborah Messing does not come to Rachel's house for a fitting.
Starting point is 00:21:52 In fact, they have a model come to do the fitting for Deborah Messing's dress. So Deborah Messing never like sets foot into the scene on the show, but they have a confessional interview with Deborah Messing singing the praises of Rachel Zoe. And it is so funny to me that for, I don't know if it was a scheduling thing or Deborah being like, I won't show up at her house, but I will sit down in a studio for 15 minutes and talk about her. But it's so funny because she's like, when you just have somebody whose passion is so great and to the clothes. and all the, oh, it's so amazing. To see somebody such as Rachel, it's like, what are we doing here? But so Deborah, at least, is like somewhat on the show.
Starting point is 00:22:42 But then the actual like A-list, A-list clients that she has just are nowhere to be found. We hear about Demi and Jen Garner 10 times an episode. The amount, literally, if there was a drinking game and it was drink every time she said, she name drops Demi Moore, you're on the floor. You're, you're blacking out. She's like, yeah, you know, we got to get stuff for Demi and Jen Garner and Kate Hudson and Annie Hathaway, all these people. And like, it's great.
Starting point is 00:23:20 She says, I think, three different times because the season, the first season culminates with the Oscars. and she makes sure to remind us like 65 times that Jen Garner is not only attending the Oscars but she's actually presenting at the Oscars so it's like extra important that we find the right dress it's like yeah we know you said it last episode and the episode before when are the Oscars

Starting point is 00:24:43 Learn more at Windows.com slash student offer. While supplies last, ends June 30th, terms at AKA.m.m.S. College PC. I think, honestly, the most, like, entertaining part of watching the show, is not really any of the events that happen, but kind of just the whole vibe. Because 2008 is just, it's wild that it's only 15 years ago, well, 16, I guess, if I'm doing math. But like, it feels like a completely different planet in terms of style, in terms of celebrity, and kind of the whole, you know, reality TV landscape and the entertainment world. Because watching a show set in 2008, that is all about fashion
Starting point is 00:25:31 is, it's, it's so crazy because everything is so ugly. There's not, like, one good outfit. Rachel is constantly parading around in some, like, black sheathe thing. Always with a fur.
Starting point is 00:25:48 She loves fur, which again, she's always cold. Always with a fur. Always with the Venti Starbucks Cup. And I do love at one point, um, we hear her Starbucks order because she's like, quizzing Brad when they're in the car in New York.
Starting point is 00:26:03 She's like, you know my Starbucks order. Double bag, drop a half and half, three splendos. And Brad's like, I so know it. And she's like, I love it. The way they talk to each other is, oh, it's so crazy. Because Rachel, Rachel is somebody, and we all know somebody who does this, who like they speak in such extremes. but with no inflection in their voice.
Starting point is 00:26:33 So the amount of times in the season that she's like, I'm kind of coming apart right now. I'm kind of, I'm having an anxiety attack. I'm like devastated right now. I'm kind of coming apart is like a specific one because she says it multiple times. This is clearly like, I don't know if you would call it a catchphrase
Starting point is 00:26:57 or if it's just like something that she's gotten stuck on saying. But she says it throughout the show. And then in, in the, by episode five, there's this whole thing happening where her, her uncle has died and she is stressed out because she has a photo shoot. And she can't go to the funeral of her uncle. And she's trying to decide whether, you know, how she feels about that. And she's like, in 20 years, you're going to be like,
Starting point is 00:27:22 you went to the photo shoot and you missed your uncle's funeral. all. But she's talking to Brad and she's like, so like now, now you're seeing me like actually come apart. And I know I've like, I've like said that before, but this is like actually what it looks like when I'm coming apart. And the gag is she looks exactly the same as all the other times. She's coming apart. Like, obviously that's a, it's a tough situation. She's going through it. It's a family. emergency, all of that. But it's like, the emotion is not there. There's no life behind the eyes. And I kind of see, I mean, the Zobot thing is, it's, I can see how it be real, because it's like, she's doing it herself. The big sunglasses are so funny too, because she'll be, there's, at one point,
Starting point is 00:28:14 they're in New York, and it's raining, and she's under an umbrella, and she's still wearing the giant sunglasses, really committing to the bit. And these aren't like, these aren't like Angie Katzenavis, you know, Gucci shield sunglasses across your face. It's like, there are those big, like, oval-looking ones that are, like, down to the mid-cheek and up to the hair line all the way to the side. Like, there, the top half of her face is just fully obscured. And speaking of the hair, oh my God, the hair, everybody's hair. I had this on in the office the other day, and, like, on my monitor, because that's, you know, it's work. And somebody was walking past and they were like looking at the screen,
Starting point is 00:28:56 they're like, you know what's crazy? Everybody looks like they're wearing a wig. And it's so real. Because they look like actually, not just wigs, but like, you know, when you're playing with Legos and the little Lego people, their hair sometimes is detachable.
Starting point is 00:29:17 And it's like a plastic, just like sort of helmet of hair that you just pop on to the top. That's kind of what like, Rachel's hair and Taylor's hair and Rogers' hair. Like, they all look like they're like the real-life version of Lego people's hair that just you could just like pop off and like replace with a different hairstyle. And I would say it looks perfect, but it actually looks bad, but like bad in a way that is
Starting point is 00:29:48 like intentional. Because in some of the photos, like, if you look at Rachel in like a photo shoot. She has these like very like these blonde tresses. That's actually nobody has ever had tresses the way that Rachel Zoe does because it's this long blonde hair with this really like defined wave. And when it looks, when it is like freshly done, it looks so good in like a, in like a 2008 bad way, but like good.
Starting point is 00:30:25 But then every time on the show, when she's, like, out and about, it's just, like, rats nest in the back. There will be, like, two really defined curly pieces in the front. And then in the back, it's just you do not know what's going on. But, yeah, it's, no, it's such a trip. And it's funny, though, because the way that not having the A-list stars on the show is a little frustrating. like having Demi and Jen Garner and Kate Hudson be name-dropped every 10 minutes. But they do kind of do a good job of the big people in the fashion industry are all over this show, especially the two episodes in season one when they're in New York for Fashion Week.
Starting point is 00:31:11 The names that we see Rachel talking to and people that clearly respect her and have worked with her, we see her with Oscar De Laurentia. We see her with Mark Jacobs, Zach Polaro, Diane von Furstenberg. There's this whole scene with Diane von Furstenberg, which is kind of crazy because Rachel's talking to her about how she's been doing this for so long and she's such an icon and a, you know, an amazing woman and all of this stuff, which like, yes, Diane von Verstenberg is a fucking legend. And she's still is, she's still doing it. But then Diane says something to Rachel. And she's like, you know, I, I knew what I wanted to become and I became it and I did it and I made it.
Starting point is 00:31:59 And you are the same. You and I have both done it. And that is like, I mean, it's such a nice thing to say, but it throws Rachel for such a loop because she's been talking all season about building her brand and expanding the Zoe Empire. And she feels like she has to hustle and she has to get the next thing and she has to say yes to everything. And so to have somebody who is objectively at the top of the mountain be like, we're both at the top of the mountain. It fucks with her so bad. Because literally the next episode, she's back in L.A., and she's like, I'm thinking about this thing that Diane Van Verstemberg said to me that we both made it. And I'm like, I literally don't know who I even want to become. I don't even know what that even means.
Starting point is 00:32:51 and I get that. I mean, it's, you know, to be like, successful is such a subjective thing, where it's like, you can be successful in a certain sense, but still have a lot of stuff that you want to work on. But with Rachel, it's interesting because she, I mean, objectively watching the show, she's styling some of the biggest names. It's, you know, she's there. But the personal brand thing, I think she actually was maybe a little bit ahead of her time in terms of knowing that she had this one, career that she was excelling in and seeing the opportunity to take her personal name and image
Starting point is 00:33:33 and career and sort of turned that into something bigger. She had already written a book at the time this show came out. I think it's got Fashion A-to-Z-O. She wrote a second book. She was doing some collab with Piper Lime. We see her on the first season, which it's like, I have not thought about Piper Lime in 15 years. It doesn't. doesn't exist anymore, by the way. The shoes is shoes, I think. She had her own clothing collection. Like, Rachel Zoe really, I mean, before, like, social media influencing was a thing. She was a huge person in the fashion industry and kind of beyond, you know, it's the kind of thing where it's like, you know, you might laugh when somebody does a clothing line that you can buy
Starting point is 00:34:18 a Coles or JCPenney or whatever. But, like, that's how you, that's how you make money. That's how you blow up your own shit. I don't know. I mean, clearly a lot has changed in the last 15 years and I don't think this show hasn't aged well in certain ways. I mean, I've talked a lot about the eating disorder stuff. There also are some objectively offensive things that are said on this show. There are a couple of different slurs that get thrown out, which it's interesting. It's interesting in 2024. Now that all of this stuff has been added back to Peacock, I mean, in 2008, when Taylor is saying the R word, I don't think anybody would have really batted an eye, which is, you know, crazy. But it's interesting that they've put this now on Peacock in 2024 with no kind of, you know, there's no disclaimer, there's no bleep, there's no editing it out, like, which, I mean, whatever.
Starting point is 00:35:21 It's not like I'm going to like crumble into dust because I heard somebody, you know, say something offensive, but it is like watching the show. You're like, oh, wow. And I'm sure some of the old housewives episodes are like that a little bit. Rachel also uses a slur for trans people multiple times. That's not great. I think Christian Seriano dropped that one about 50,000 times when he was on Project runway back in the day, too. So it's, I mean, there are. some moments where you're just kind of like, oof, not great. But overall, I mean, this show is, it's kind of intense. It's, it's very dramatic. There's like a mix of personal stuff and professional stuff. There's a lot of just good throwback moments. There's some like, I'm looking at my notes. Oh my God. In episode two, the, um, the studio in Rachel's house floods and when there's a rainstorm. And so a lot of the dresses get wet. And before you even see what has happened, you just hear, in the background, Taylor the assistant, just this moan of anguish where you would think that somebody has been taken out back and shot.
Starting point is 00:36:36 You just hear, no! It's crazy. It's crazy. It's a great throwback binge. Now that I've watched season one, I think maybe I'll sit on it for a little bit and then maybe I'll revisit some of the later seasons in the future. But definitely I would recommend it. If you're looking for something to kind of like turn your brain off and tap into some nostalgia, it definitely will accomplish that for you. And I, getting through five episodes this week was not difficult for me.
Starting point is 00:37:11 I will just say that. And, you know, I die. But anyway, that's the episode for today. Thank you so much for listening.
