Girl, winter is so last season.
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes.
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs.
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Betches Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, though.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer, and today I am so glad to be joined, once again in the studio this time, by our friend, the one and only, Countess Luanne Delis Seps.
Hi, good morning.
Good morning.
How are you?
I'm great.
I'm great.
Just been keeping busy, you know.
Bravo Khan was a big happening.
And so I'm just catching up, you know.
Yeah.
Going on tour soon.
So I've got a lot of things, great things coming up.
I was just saying I saw you at BravoCon from a distance.
You were, uh, you were looking.
It was the day you were in that red suit with the ponytail and you were looking all business.
Just being, you know, followed around by a mob of people anywhere you went.
What is it like, it had been a few years since the last one?
What's it like being just back in that environment with so many people?
You know, it was pretty intense because, you know, everybody's a Bravo fan, you know, that comes, you know, they pay, you know, good money for tickets.
And so it was, it was great to have that many fans together in such a big place, especially, you know, the BravoCon two years before was not as big.
So this was a much bigger kind of, you know, event and stages and crowd.
So it was, it's always fun to connect with the fans, you know, who love the show and who have, who have, who have,
loved it for, you know, so many years.
And to see all the Bravo talent, you know, to see the housewives I never get to see,
to get to meet the housewives I never got to meet, which was for me, Dubai.
I had never met, you know, Chanel and Lisa.
Wow, what a character, loved her.
And so it's really, it was great to connect with all the fans, connect with all the housewives,
and, of course, to see Andy and do watch what happens live.
Yeah.
I'm curious, so it's been a little over a year since Roney kind of came to whatever,
close, pause, whatever you want to say.
Yeah.
What has it been like in the last year?
You've been on the show for so long, longer than almost anyone else in the housewives game.
Just me and Ramona are the original cast, yeah.
What has it been like this past year living your life without filming, airing, all of that stuff?
Well, so the last year of my life has been.
been basically, you know, working on, you know, cabaret, Fosé, you know, my non-alcoholic sparkling
rosé that I love. And, you know, working on a new show with Sonia, which they announced a
BravoCon. So, you know, I was working all summer. I was actually filming all summer. You know,
luckily, the ultimate girls trip happened. So that kept me on the tube with housewives. Do you
what I mean? So that was a great, you know, thing for me to kind of keep myself out there as the
housewives of New York was not filming. So that was, that was a really fun thing to have. And,
um, and then of course, you know, um, you know, the cabaret keeps me busy and, you know,
and filming that new show with Sonny was a blast. So that'll be out in the spring of 23. And, um,
and so, yeah, I'm between, you know, being a mom and having family and a career. Uh,
it's kept me very busy.
Do you think in any way having less filming time or whatever in the last year, did it help you any
relationships or did it make it, is dating easier when you're not on a show?
Any of that kind of stuff?
Oh, interesting.
I don't think dating is easier because people, you know, kind of, if they don't know who I am,
they, you know, get it very quickly, you know, in terms of dating.
So, you know, the housewives is kind of, you know, one of my titles.
along with the countess, you know?
So it hasn't gotten easier.
Well, there's less drama and less, you know, going on in that respect.
You know, it's, we filmed for four months.
So, and it's, you know, and it's very busy and it's very hectic.
And so, yeah, it's been nice to kind of have a break from that to tell you the truth.
And the show I did with Sonia was a totally different kind of show.
It's a comedy and is not at all like that.
housewives. So it was nice to have a change. But I do miss the girls. And I look forward to
starting, you know, the, what do we call it? Legacy. Legacy. Starting legacy.
Classic, whatever. Yeah. You know, I was surprised that they brought the girls out for BravoCon.
That was a little shocking to me because we didn't really know. So that was interesting.
You know, look, I know that it's happening. But I almost felt like Andy was cheating on me.
I brought all these other girls around.
I'm like, well, what happened to me?
You know, there's, you know, I've been doing it for so long that, you know, it was kind of surprising for me.
And like I said, I felt like Andy was cheating on me.
But, you know, the cast looks great.
And I wish them all the best.
You know, I'm, you know, I feel like it'll be interesting to see what people gravitate more towards.
Have you ever met any of those women?
Do you know any of them at all?
I have no idea who there.
Okay.
No idea.
I mean, I know that Jen Lyons is very accomplished, but most of them I don't know who they are, Jen.
I have some friends in common that know Jen, but I really don't know the other women.
Yeah, we said Jill went to lunch with a couple of them already.
I know she did.
I know. You know, I think it's great that Jill took them out.
I mean, Jill was one of the original Housewives of New York.
So I find it very nice of her to take them for lunch.
That was very nice of Jill Zerrin.
I know that you and Jill have kept up your relationship over the years.
Is it at BravoCon, it's come up a few times with her on girls' trip and stuff,
people kind of calling her the the thirstiest person on Bravo or whatever.
What does it feel like when you see people kind of giving her a hard time?
Well, you know, I never like it.
You know, when your friends get picked on.
It's like, you know, it's like bullying almost, you know.
I, you know, I know that Jill, she loves what she does.
And I don't, they might call it Thursday.
I just called somebody who's a go-getter and, um, and who believes in her brand.
And, um, and, and yeah, she's a go-getter and she puts it out there.
I mean, um, she even said to me when I saw her last and I saw it recently, um, about the
candles.
She was talking about her candles.
And it's like, tonight we're taking the night off, chilled.
Relax.
We're not selling anything.
We're just going to chill out and have dinner with our mutual friends right now.
Um, you know,
know, but, you know, I look at those kind of, those are reactions, I think, that are, you know,
personal, you know, it's people's perception of, and they don't know Jill well. So I know Jill
is just like that. You know, she comes from a sales background. Her daughter and her built this,
you know, company and brand and very proud of her. I think there's also something to be said for the
fact that she was on Housewives 10 years ago, almost, you know, and, you know, and, you know,
It's not everybody has that kind of, you know, special something to, for people to still be
talking about them, remembering them once, asking for them to come back on the show, I think.
Right.
And with the businesses and all of that, you've done a great job also, you know, looking back
when you did that first cabaret show a few seasons ago.
2018, darling.
On the show, it's like, the fact that you're still out here doing it now and people are
coming to see you and loving it.
It's like, well, that goes to show you that what I do is, you know, I work really.
hard at what I do. You know, people come, you know, to, I think people come to my shows expecting a car crash and they
come out driving a Bentley is what happens. And I steal that for my director, Richard J. Alexander. I mean,
I have the director of Kristen Chenoweth and Barbara Streisand. And so I'm working with the best people in the business,
you know, Billy Stritch and Brian Nash who do my shows. Um, so, you know, I take it seriously.
I work really hard at it. I love what I do, you know, I love being on tour.
And I love connecting with my fans in that way.
You know, it's a very personal experience that they get to have.
It's a lot of fun.
And I feel like they're really impressed.
You know, when they leave my show, they're like, wow, that's a great show.
And the proof is in the pudding.
You know, I'm still, you know, very much on tour.
I have a tour coming up.
And we can talk about that in, you know, L.A. and Chicago and Atlanta and Tampa,
just to name a few.
So, you know, people keep coming.
back and that says a lot to me and you know they just don't come back they come back dressed and ready
to go out for the night they got their sequence on their statement necklaces and that's a huge nod to me
that people make an effort like they make an effort to go to you know to go somewhere fancy
they make an effort to come to my show and i love that you know it's a huge sign of respect um and it
inspires me to do even better next time so i'm excited to do you know all new shows for the holidays and
yeah and um and be successful at it uh because it's a great show
Yeah, I think with any time you are on a show like Housewives and you have a project that you're working on, there's always going to be those people that are kind of like, okay, here's the storyline.
Yeah, she's selling stuff.
Right. Like, okay, it's this season we're talking about cabaret. And obviously it's, you know, you can poke fun at the cabaret, cabaret, whatever. But the fact that you have made it into a, you know, long lasting thing. It's like, okay, maybe it maybe it was a storyline, but it also is a business.
storyline. It was a passion that I had and that I always wanted to do. So I lived out that passion on the show. And listen, I had something very traumatic happened to me shortly before that. And it took a lot of guts to get up on that stage and come out with the cabaret show, you know, when you can get shot down very easily. And to have it be successful from coming from such a low place in my life and building myself up on the cabaret stage feels really great. You know, I, um,
I landed on something that I'm passionate about.
I love, as you know, I've recorded many dance singles.
And I have my new, you know, my Christmas song that I'll be doing in my shows that I haven't really not done on the West Coast and, and even surrounding areas of New York.
So it's great to still be standing on the cabaret stage after you first have seen it on the Housewives.
Because I think, you know, like I said, it is a passion of mine.
and it's a great show.
It's a fun time, and people are immersed in the experience when they come.
You know, they hang out after my shows.
They become friends.
You know, it's really cool.
So I hope you'll come back to my shows.
I'm actually doing, I just put on my calendar in New York City in February.
I'm doing Valentine's Day shows, three shows in New York.
Finding love with Lou.
Yeah, I haven't been, you know, and we're going to talk about all that.
I mean, what's life worth living for without love?
and God knows I live very passionately.
Yeah.
I get married.
I get, you know, divorce.
I, you know, get arrested.
I get on the cabaret stage, you know, I got a, or fall in a bush.
I mean, so I have, I, you know, live my life out loud.
And life is a cabaret for me because that's the way I've always lived.

One of the things about BravoCon that I found that I think is kind of heartwarming is that
people, obviously they love the shows, that they're entertaining, it's drama, whatever,
but I think a lot of people also identify with a lot of the things that you and other
people have gone through on the show, whether it's, you know, marriage, divorce, police problems.
You know, like business ventures, what have you. There's so many different things that have happened
on all of these different shows that people really can find something that they identify with and whether
they're inspired by it or whether they just feel, you know, like they have. Can judge you.
So it feels like you, I mean, you've really gotten kind of such a long lifespan out of that kind of
relationship with the audience. Oh yeah. I mean, you know, I've gotten divorced twice on the show now.
I mean, um, you know, I've gotten to sing with Natalie Cole on the show. Uh, you know, I've
almost died on a camel and, you know, um, on one of our houseways trips. So, and I've gotten to
meet so many great people through the process of the show. So, you know, life's full of up and downs.
ups and downs. And, you know, I, like I said, I kind of live that on the show and I feel like
everybody can identify to that. Either, especially specifically for New York, either you've lived
in New York and you miss it or you've always wanted to live in New York, you know. And so I think
that's another big thing people identify with. I always call it our extra housewife because people
just want to see New York City also. Yeah. Speaking of all those things that you have gone through
experienced on the show, do you watch old episodes ever or is it kind of just like, that's done?
No, I just feel like, oh, my God, my hair was so short and, oh, I was chubby.
And, but I do love the living photo album of it in terms of my home that I used to have that I don't have any longer, you know, where the children grew up.
You know, it's kind of a nostalgic for me, you know, but I don't really, I'm somebody who lives in the moment and in the future kind of, you know, planning.
I'm not a big reminisce her and I'm not a big, you know, um.
person to think about the past a lot.
I mean, but like I said, it's nice to have, like Aston, my dog, that passed away.
You know, I get to see Aston again.
And, you know, I get to see my kids as young kids.
And now they're in their 20s, you know.
So it's really kind of a living photo album that I get to have.
Watching, I think when you watch the shows for a long time, the kids growing up really, like, even as a viewer, it's like, wow.
like watching like Avery on those early seasons of New York.
It's like, damn, everybody's old now.
I know.
It's crazy.
It's hard to believe, you know, Noel breakdancing, the bird and the bird cage and
Rosie and the townhouse and, you know, and, you know, my run-ins with all my, you know,
various villains throughout the years and, you know, fashion shows and traveling.
And it's been such a great ride.
Really.
villains throughout the years.
Villains throughout the years.
Some people that we don't want to see on Legacy.
That's right.
Is there anyone that you would want to bring back to a show that maybe isn't like the most obvious choice?
You know, I've been talking about Aviva.
You know, I think it would be interesting to have actually somebody married and who has children who are still, you know, young, who are not in their 20s already.
Yeah, I always think Aviva made a great.
housewife. I think it'd be great to have her back. That's not the choice that most people would make.
But I, you know, I would say Aviva. I think that's, yeah, because she was, she was on the show for two
seasons, but just because somebody didn't it maybe make sense to stay on the show for a long time then,
doesn't mean that they couldn't have something special now. Right. I just don't know if she would
be considered legacy, but I guess she would. I mean, what are the parameters of legacy is what I'd like to know.
We're making the rules as we go. We're making them as we go. Exactly.
Do you think, I'm curious, there was a lot of stuff in the media last week about Ramona and Ebony kind of going back and forth on stuff.
Do you kind of pay attention to that at all?
Or is that kind of a closed chapter for you?
No, I don't.
You know, I have enough to do in my own life without getting involved in the conflict of others,
unless I need to come to somebody's rescue.
But I haven't had an SOS message from Ramona.
So I think she's okay.
Ramona gets herself into it and she can get herself out.
She does.
She has to figure it out.
She's a big girl now.
Working with Ramona and Sonia in particular for so long, what is it like just kind of like
navigating all of those moments?
You know, it is, you know, I always say my family, you know, prep to me for the houseways
because I grew up in a big family and a lot of different personalities and people to manage.
but, you know, Sonia is like so different than Ramona.
You know, we have a different relationship than Ramona and I do, I guess, because we've
known each other in different ways.
You know, Ramona I've basically known through the show, and Sonia I've known for a long time
before the show and outside of the show.
So it's interesting, you know.
I love Sonia's personality and her, you know, the townhouse, and I have so many great
memories with her even living in the townhouse, you know, when I met Tom.
So, and, you know, Ramon and I have been doing this for so long that, you know, we have that
relationship, friendship and, you know, business relationship.
So it's different.
And it's always, it's always interesting.
Yeah.
It's always interesting.
Yeah.
So speaking of the Sonia thing, I'm curious, we're all really excited for this show that you
have coming out that you filmed in Illinois over the summer.
how did that, what was the conversation that led to that happening?
Did they approach you about it or was it kind of like, how did that happen?
Well, I mean, our producer is actually from this town, Russell Jay, and he wanted to see this town thrive.
And so I think the idea came from, you know, the production team.
and then, you know, they wanted to do it for NBC.
And we didn't know if it would be for Bravo E or where it's going to land Peacock.
And so in talking with the powers that be over at, you know, NBC, they landed on Sonia and I.
And I, you know, I'm not sure which executive or the group of executives over there said, you know,
who's the LeVern and Shirley of the crowd?
Who's the Paris and Nicole Richie, you know?
And they plucked Sonia and I out.
I know. It's so awesome. We're like, you know, it's like Laverne and Shirley meets, you know, the odd couple meets, um, what are those? Thelman Louise. Yeah. There's sure to be, uh, sure to be trouble. Yes, for sure. And a lot of comedy in the, in the, you know, on the way. Was it between doing Ultimate Girls trip and this show with Sonia, was it, was it nice kind of doing something that felt a little bit lighter?
on the filming side of things?
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
You know, listen, you're a week in the Turks and Kekos.
I'm not going to say no to that,
especially with the group that went.
You know, it was the first version of, you know,
ultimate girls' trips.
So that was a lot of fun.
And, you know, and different because it wasn't,
you know, we're not going, you know,
living in the same town as these other housewives, right?
So they're going back home.
I'm going back home with Ramona.
They're like, you know,
Why aren't you on her stuff?
And why don't you?
Why do you let her get away with this kind of something?
It's like, I got to, you know, work with Ramona and maintain a friendship.
Because, you know, and, you know, we both live in New York.
And I'm just kind of used to Ramona's antics, you know, but they were like in shock.
And, you know, so it was different in that way because it wasn't all about, you know, my
girlfriend group.
It was about discovering other women from the franchise and getting to know them.
and, you know, just having a good time.
So that trip was great.
And, you know, this filming with Sonia is totally different from Housewives because it is a comedy.
It is an uplifting show, heartfelt.
We're there to really improve the town.
And so people have been comparing it to the simple life.
I say, you know, it's a simple life on steroids.
It's totally different dynamic because, of course, Sonia and I are so different.
Yeah.
We're not, you know, the rich kids from me.
Beverly Hills.
Right.
You've lived a little more, you've lived a little more life.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And I always say, you know, there should be a dating show like that, which is like,
you know, the older set kind of dating instead of, you know, like the Bachelor.
It's like, you know, there's not a lot of life experience there.
They're, you know, young and be interesting to see like our age group dating.
Did you ever?
That I would watch.
Did you ever hit up Patty Stang?
Or that I would be on.
Did you ever hit up Patty Stanger for so?
for some help.
Hit a Patty's thinger.
Oh, you know what?
It's funny.
I love Patty.
She actually came to my cabaret show at the L. Ray.
I'll be at the L. Ray theater again.
And we'll talk about dates that you're coming in December.
And so, no, I haven't worked with Patty.
But she always says, oh, I've got a guy for you.
But I never hear from her.
So, Patty, if you have a guy for me.
Patty.
Yeah, let me know.
We got to get that going.
Well, I'm dating.
You know, I don't have anybody.
I want to bring to my children and introduce them to yet, but I'm dating a little bit and having fun, you know.
I've been married twice already, so, but they say three times the charm.
Okay.
Does that work for marriage?
I don't know.
Sure.
You're like, it's going to work for me one of these days.
Yeah, well, it did work for me in so many ways, you know.
You know, the first one resulted in my children.
So when I was married for 17 years to the count, so that counts for something.
That's why I keep my courtesy title
Because guess what? I earned it
I mean, you earned it
And of course now it's your brand
It is. It's part of who I am
It's like my hashtag.

Speaking of Countess,
obviously Countess and friends,
cabaret, all of that.
So you have this tour coming up
that you're excited about.
Is there kind of something new
that you're excited to be working on?
I know you have this yoga retreat also
that you're doing.
Can you tell me about that?
Yeah, in November.
Well, so the yoga retreat is,
um,
before I go on.
And before the holidays.
Because I've got to cleanse the spirit a little bit.
You got to cleanse the spirit, be in the right frame of mind before you head out, right?
You know, for the holidays.
So I was going to do one later.
And then I decided to do it before the holidays because I want to get, you know, healthy.
And I want to get, you know, trimmer.
And so this is where I go into Lou Mexico.
So I'm really sharing my favorite place to go.
It's not like I have 100 places where I can go and, you know,
that I love as much as I love this place.
And that's why I'm sharing it because it's such a great experience.
If you've never been to Tulum, my girlfriend owns the hotel.
It's called the Amman Sala.
And she got us great, you know, rates for the weekend because it's expensive, you know,
normally.
But, you know, it's kind of a package thing.
I put together for my fans and friends.
And it's yoga and walks on the beach and meditation.
And, you know, we're going to do a sweat lodge and send our prayers
to the universe, manifestation, and just eat healthy.
We're going to see some sites that, you know, because I know the place very well.
I've been going for years now.
I was there during the pandemic as well.
It's just a gorgeous place to get centered.
I'm going to do, you know, have talks about, you know, diet, of course, and do Q&A
with everyone that comes and, you know, host a dinner.
So you're going to spend a lot of time with me hanging.
and people are always asking me about my tips on staying fit.
And at this age, you know, I'm sharing them.
So it's a little bit of a different vibe than a real housewife's trip to Mexico.
Oh, no.
It's chill, but it's going to be fun because, you know, everyone's got an inner real housewife in them.
You know, just like they do the diva.
You know, Viva la diva ladies.
So, you know, and it's not just for women, you know, guys can come.
I've been, guys have been asking me about it.
So everyone's welcome. I mean, it's bikini boot camp in November 18th to the 21st in Tulum. And it's an easy
flight, you know, to fly to Cancun is like flying to Miami. It's super easy. Yeah. And I love the Mexican
culture. You know, it's a culture of service and great food and great, you know, um,
entertainment and expensive. So I love Mexico. Yeah. Well, sounds like a great time. Yeah,
it's going to be a good time. I, um, I'm so excited that you just like seem to be doing,
doing great. I feel like not having Roney on this past year, it's felt strange even as a Bravo viewer.
It's like we don't have this kind of, you know, classic happening. Exactly. It's like the,
you know, we were there in the very beginning. So it's, it feels like it's gone by fast for me. I haven't
really noticed the time, but I'm sure the fans have noticed, you know, not having us on their
televisions. And that's cool because they all keep saying it. And,
And I'm looking forward to getting back and working with the OGs, which I think it would be a lot of fun that, you know, I know where all the bodies are buried.
It's an ominous, an ominous teaser for something.
We know where all the bodies are.
So that, you know, and I think there's so much depth in our friendships because we've known each other such a long time.
And, you know, even like Aviva, I talked about Aviva, you know, I've known her before the housewives, you know.
And, you know, I think, you know, Kelly I've known for a long time, so I'm hoping she'll be back.
You know, Jill, I'd love to see back.
And, of course, D.
Yeah.
We had, um, we had Kelly in the, in here on the podcast a few months ago.
We were talking about that.
And I, I hadn't met Kelly in person before.
And I had such a lovely time talking to her.
I feel like she was, she's one of those people that to me, whatever was going on when she was on
housewives.
And we got a very, we got one image of her.
and I think she has so much more to kind of share.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, yeah.
I mean, I think that that was a lot for anyone to handle.
And of course, I wasn't there and Jill wasn't there.
So we were kind of her buddies at the time.
And, you know, I didn't go.
It was Victoria's birthday.
And I'm kind of glad I'm as scary.
I wanted to tell you the truth.
But I think if I was there,
it would have been a totally different trip.
So I think that trip is like,
we'll go down in history.
and I think that she didn't get a fair shake.
You know, I think it was a lot of pressure and a lot of, you know, behind the scenes,
I'm sure of what we, you know, didn't see.
And, you know, it felt like bullying to me.
And I feel like she just couldn't take it anymore and lost her shit, you know.
And so I'd like to see her come back on OG housewives and, you know, and legacy and show people a different side of herself.
because she is a sweetheart.
She's a sweetheart.
She's killing it in the real estate.
Gorgeous.
And she's gorgeous.
Yeah, she's a boss.
Yeah, she's doing it all.
Yeah, she's doing real well.
So I'm happy for her.
And so hopefully we'll see her back.
Amazing.
Yeah, I think it's going to be so fun.
Like you said, Derinda also, you know, she was, she was at BravoCon making her case for herself.
I have to imagine you probably were a little happy that you got the Turks and Kekos
girls' trip and not the Berkshire's one.
I definitely.
Now, you know, when we did Turks and Kekos, there was not even any, you know, plan for the book, sure.
So I didn't even know about it.
But I'm definitely glad I got to go to Turks and Kekos.
You're like, a lovely house I've been there before.
I think I know the house.
Uh-huh.
Maybe a little perhaps too well.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
That wouldn't have made sense for me to be back in that house.
No.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They did a good job casting that one.
Totally.
They did a good job casting yours.
Yeah.
Who do you keep up with the most from your girls' trip?
experience.
Probably Cynthia Bailey.
Love Cynthia.
You know, I see the Jersey girls because they're close by.
And, you know, Ramona, I guess.
You know, Kyle, I love, and I'll see her when I'm out in L.A.
And, yeah.
And the girls from Atlanta, you know, Kenny, I had just met for the first time.
We got along great.
And I'm doing a show in Atlanta, you know, December 10th.
So I'm looking forward to.
getting down there, the girls are coming.
Amazing.
Yeah, for my Christmas show.
So I'm excited about that.
And yeah, I keep in touch with quite a few of them.
That's amazing.
That season of Girls' Trip had such a nice kind of warm, fun energy.
It felt like it was a really good.
Obviously, there were a couple, you know, little miscommunication moments and not everybody
got along the whole time.
But overall, it seemed like you guys really just got a blast.
Yeah, we connected because it was really, we broke the four.
We talked about what it's like to be on all our, you know, the housewives and all the different
franchises.
And I feel like that was an interesting peak that you never get to see.
So it felt like a totally different show.
And of course, there's always drama when you have that many women together.
But I feel like, you know, it's drama that we all have.
It's not like off the charts, like flipping tables, you know, throwing drinks kind of drama,
which I don't think you need if you have a good sparring verbal partner.
exactly
