Starting point is 00:00:36 A Bravo by Betches podcast We don't say that But now we said it With me, Dylan Hafer We're going to check me both Hey everyone Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast
Starting point is 00:00:48 I'm Dylan Hafer And today I am so excited To be joined in the studio By one of our summer house favorites She talks about summer 11 months out of the year We're just saying
Starting point is 00:00:58 Please welcome Danielle Oliveira I feel like you're one of Everyone's favorites I mean I never used to always be like that. Season two, season three, season four. I think I kind of found myself season five. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Now season seven, I guess I'm cool. I don't know. You've been doing this for a long time. I know, longer than I thought I would, to be honest. I do feel like compared to other people who have been on Bravo shows for as long as you have, it does feel like you've always kept like your feet firmly on the ground a little bit. Oh, yeah. I mean, as drunk as I get, they are firmly on the ground.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Do you feel like that's been a conscious effort on your part to kind of not get swept up in the world of all of this? Well, I kind of had no, I didn't have the ability to get swept up in anything because I was working, now I can say at Capital One for a long time while I was filming. And so I had that to keep me grounded. Like nothing grounds you more than corporate finance and technology. So like I wasn't so caught up in reality TV because I was being, I guess, a normal person. Right. You're like, okay, that was an interesting weekend. Now I'm going to go sit at a desk.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Truly for hours and hours and hours. There was definitely the season that was like the COVID quarantine season. It was like, oh, Danielle's busy. Yeah. I think before that people thought that I was just kind of this more boring like character who just like came in, got super drunk and like got the hell out of there. like didn't bring too much to the table. But like I was just living my life because I would want to blow off steam after an insane work week.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I think there's, it's hard to find the middle ground between people thinking that you have nothing going on. And also if you're somebody who lives your entire life on the show and has, I mean, like we've watched Kyle and Amanda for so many seasons really put it all out there. And then people are like, well, they're they're just, you know, like there's too for tea. Like I don't know. There's no. But there's a balance for them. Yeah. You could see them working on lover boy every single day.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Right. The same thing with the housewives. So I always love watching the housewives because you have their family moments. And it's like really wholesome, really cute. They're with their kids, with husbands. And then they get ratchet. And then you're like, well, at least there's balance, right? Like I could see this other side of them.
Starting point is 00:03:17 With me, it was very one side for a long time there because I was just coming in hot and then leaving. It's like we hear she has a job. In quotes. Like this alleged job that she has. Do you feel like you, as the seasons have gone on, you said you kind of found yourself like season five maybe. Do you feel like you have gotten more comfortable just like existing on camera? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:40 I mean, the pandemic house definitely, like, I mean, we were there all the time around each other. And I think people got to see that I do work a ton and there is that side of me. But at the same time, I'm a late bloomer. I always do things at my own pace. I feel like I kind of hit my stride around then. where I was like truly comfortable being there and like kind of letting it all out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:04 I feel like also people who have watched the show from the beginning do you have an appreciation for the fact that you are like a real tried and true member of this friend group. Yeah. That serves an important purpose, even if that isn't always like the most chaotic one on the screen. Absolutely. I mean, I came into the show via Kyle. And at the time I had gotten laid off of my first job and that I was working for seven years. And so I was just like, I'm just going to do this for like one season and like,
Starting point is 00:04:34 and, you know, earned a paycheck and then, you know, do something else. Here I am still. I didn't intend to be this person, but I kind of now am into it. Flash forward. You're like on stage at Bravo con being like, like what is that? Yeah. Seriously. Seriously. I mean, getting even glam. Like I'm like not this person. You look great. As a person is like an embellished blazer. No, the bedazzled blazer is it's a look. I like it. I like it. lot. Thank you. So how, going into this season, season seven, what was your kind of mental state going into it? Did you feel like it was going to be a good season for you, a chill season for you? Well, I went in excited to be with Carl and Lindsay actually because I hadn't seen them in a while
Starting point is 00:05:18 and our dynamic kind of changed so much. So I was like, okay, we got to live together. We'll be back to the three amigos. Everything go back to normal. It'll be perfect. And then at the same time, I was kind of nervous because of everything that happened with Sierra the summer before, getting to live with her again, how is that going to shake out? How is it going to be with the other girls? And who the hell are these newbies? So there was a lot of mixed emotions and feelings.
Starting point is 00:05:42 I'm curious, this just popped into my head. Do you watch Winter House? Or is that kind of like not my circus, not my monkeys? So I love the mountains and I love a mountain chair. And I really just got back from, I hate to say, Aspen, because it sounds so dushy. But I just got back from Aspen from my other winter house. West.
Starting point is 00:06:00 So like I love the premise of that show. Like I live that show also. Yeah. And yeah, I do watch it. Okay. So like you, it's funny that you say you were so excited to be back with Lindsay and Carl as like the three amigosos because on the second season of Winterhouse, there was so much, you know, like hand wringing over their relationship and the timeline
Starting point is 00:06:20 and all that stuff. And I feel like for you, it's kind of like, whatever. Okay. Yeah. I mean, I can see it from both sides. that's the unfortunate part of my nature, because there was a lot of like stuff that they were putting out there. And it felt like so in your face, like we're in love and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And then we lived what happened at Amanda and Kyle's wedding. So it's kind of like, okay, we get it. You kind of did like a mini press tour for your own relationship. It's kind of weird. So people just wanted to call out the timeline, I guess. It was dragged on for way too long and like who gives that much of a shit. But I think that had to do a little bit with the edit. Am I want to say that?
Starting point is 00:07:06 Just like things happen on TV. I just think that like people talk about relationships. All of our relationships are always under a microscope. And so theirs is no different. So people just wanted to like get the timeline out there. So I can kind of see it. I think what you were saying about how it feels a little unnatural like you're not this person kind of like for people. to be, I mean, the Summerhouse fans are dedicated.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Oh my God. And so when people are going through with a fine tooth comb, like, who liked what photo, who comments on what? If there's like a, you know, if you're together and people are like looking at all of your like body language. Yeah. It is very like. But listen, if people didn't stand Carl and Lindsay like so hard, they would have been all
Starting point is 00:07:51 over that timeline. They would have dissected it. They would, but because they are like, they ship them so hard. people like the fans were like okay we're over it we get the timeline why do we care so much yeah if they didn't love them they would have been all about that timeline and been like sifting through like the internet sluits that they are yeah it is i mean in some ways i feel like it's kind of like you can't win that it's like if you're not posting about your relationship at all people are like trouble in paradise that's happened to me yeah i mean if like so you confirmed recently
Starting point is 00:08:24 like you and Robert are no longer together. Correct. How are you like navigating this time in your life? With a lot of distractions. A lot of friends, family. I didn't realize how much I needed other people until like going through actually is my second heartbreak of the year. First was Lindsay. Second is Robert. So like I've just been kind of going out. I mean, I'm not looking for a man by any means. But going out, having fun, distracting myself, I was just out west. I was just out west. He actually works out there. So that was kind of like the closure that I needed, which is weird to say to like go out there where he is and find closure. But it really did help. So that chapter is now done. And I'm just like looking forward to everything else. I mean, I'm building my own app. So that takes a ton of time. So work. I'm really good
Starting point is 00:09:20 at being a single independent woman. I mean, there is something too. the fact that you've always just like had a real job. Yeah, like I'm good at work. So like I'm good at doing that. Maybe the relationship stuff, not so much, but you know, let's just go back to what's tried and true. And that's my job. I do. I, I think there is an aspect of the fact that like you've never had your relationship so much on the show. So it does allow you to kind of, you know, handle things in your own way and your own timeline a little bit. Yeah, like I wasn't going to do an Instagram story post. Like, Hey, just so everyone knows Robert and I have parted ways. Like, I just, I'm not that person.
Starting point is 00:09:58 So if people want to ask me in a public way and then post an article, that's the way that I prefer to do it. Look, I mean, it's going to get out there eventually. But I think there is a thing that it's like, you don't need it to be like your moment. Yeah. Yeah. So good. So good.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Everything you want for summer is at Nordstrom rack stores now and up to 60% off. Stock up and save on the. brands you love like Vince, Sam Edelman, Frame and Free People. Join the Nordy Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more. Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. Girl, winter is so last season.
Starting point is 00:10:45 And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
Starting point is 00:11:07 It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. Okay, so you missed the first weekend of this season. Do you, as somebody who has, like we said, worked a lot, always been busy, whatever, do you feel weirdness about like missing a weekend at the house either from like a FOMO that looks fun perspective or like what am I going to miss that's going to be important? Not the not the latter. The FOMO for sure was real, but it was my brother's 30th birthday and he wanted to do it in Montauk.
Starting point is 00:11:42 So we had a really good time. Also, if you saw the first episode, we weren't allowed to have a Fourth of July party. It was like they went to a beach. Right. So I didn't really miss much, I don't think. I'm okay. Fine with me. And also I knew that ahead of time too.
Starting point is 00:11:58 So I'm like, I'm not sprinting over to the house. Oh, there's no party. Okay, I'm going to stay in Montauk. It was interesting the way it worked out that you and Sierra were both not present the first weekend. Well, we did have a couple of things to work out. Right. Yeah. So in episode two, Sierra arrives, you arrive.
Starting point is 00:12:17 She says that things are amicable, amicable between you. to since the reunion last season. Is that a feeling that you shared going into the season, amicable? Amicable is a good word. Sybil, we can coexist. Those are the words that I would use. I was still nervous going in because you never know how it's truly going to like pan out or if she's going to be open-minded.
Starting point is 00:12:40 If I'm going to feel open-minded enough to kind of let her in. When I do houses, I love to get to know every single person. I love to have a good relationship with every single person. And I was open to doing this with Sierra and not treating that any differently. Do you feel like the now that you've been in the house for, you know, six years or whatever, when there are new people coming in, do you still feel just as open of like this is a potential close friend? Or is it kind of like, okay, whatever? I get so excited.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Yeah. Because who doesn't want like more new fun friends? I just want to like, I don't know, meet everyone. It's the environment that you should be like meeting and, you know, making new friendships and getting drunk and like seeing how people navigate their drunk selves. It's always so exciting. And I heard that like Sam was like a mini Kyle. So immediately I was like, oh my God, I'm going to love her.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Wasn't sure how the Gabby stuff was going to pan out because we have some things in common or someone in common, really. And then Chris being a Hispanic man, I'm like, oh my God, this is going to be like a cousin of mine. And I, like, you know. You and Chris really hit it off that first episode. If there's something to be said about like two Hispanics getting together, it's just immediately you feel like a relative.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I liked at the first dinner when you're kind of like giving him the rundown of like who might be single. Yes. I mean, yeah, I'm already doing it. I'm already like acting like, you know, like we've known each other for years. And the thing with the new people is that it does feel like every season kind of has a, its own vibe. Like you're bringing in three new people.
Starting point is 00:14:16 you have suddenly a lot less bedrooms. Oh my God. Three more people and four less bedrooms. What could go wrong? Yeah. I walked into that. I was like, okay, this feels like me 10 years ago. I mean, I have been in sharehouses where we've put air mattresses down. I've been right next to someone, didn't know who it was until the morning.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Like, I've been through it all. Am I too old for it now? Probably. But I'm still down for it. Like, not only are there not enough bedrooms. but also I don't really want to sleep in like Lindsay and Carl's, you know, dirty sheets. Well, so the second, the weekend that I showed up, they're like, oh, like, Daniel, you'll take their room. I'm like, no, I'm not taking their room.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Like, Chris, you can go in there. I'll figure something else out. It's like, it's too close. Yeah. So you were saying you were very open this season to what was going to happen with Sierra. Do you feel like, I don't know, it's tough because at the reunion, I feel like it's always, there's kind of a. pressure almost to, you know, say your, say your peace, make an apology, move on, bygones, be bygones. Do you feel like when you do that, is it easy for you to be genuine about that
Starting point is 00:15:29 moving forward? Or does it take a little bit more kind of mental work? I think that Sierra was genuine at the reunion when she apologized. There was just things that couldn't be said in that forum that I just needed to like make sure we hashed out before living together again. There's some, I can move forward and find and be done with the glass of the chest and move on from that. But moving forward, I would like, in order to have like a friendship potentially, there's, there was just a few more things that I wanted to make sure that we're on the same page about. I think that's, that's important. And when you have been on a show with somebody for a number of years, it's like you want to have that real like human level of forgiveness and moving forward, not just like, I know we're on the same show.
Starting point is 00:16:15 So like, yeah, I guess what's past is past. I just wouldn't do the show. Like if I, if more stuff from the past kept coming up, I just wouldn't do it. Like I'm too old. Yeah. I'm like, I really don't need to do that. Like I put myself in that position. I mean, we've been through kind of lingering stuff between Lindsay and Amanda for, for instance.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Like there's always something. There's always some tension there that we haven't figured out or they haven't like truly talked about. And you feel it. every single summer. That's not the position I want to be in. Like if we have beef, we're going to talk about it. We're going to hash it out. And either I'll feel cool enough to be in the house with you again or I'll just exit, find my way out. The idea of past things coming back sort of relates to what happened at that dinner where, you know, Kyle is sort of venting about Carl's work performance
Starting point is 00:17:07 to Maya of all people. I feel like she was the easiest. Yeah. The easiest listener. She was there. But you kind of bring up when he's saying this thing about, you know, Carl forgetting his laptop, all this stuff. And you're like, when, what was this recent? Or like, are we talking about four years ago? It feels like maybe in that situation, it's like maybe there's a statute of limitations on how long you can, you know, play this card. Bring something up from the past. I think I think Kyle was venting and it was like the exact wrong time in place to do it. It's fine that it was Maya because I think that he was trying to catch her up.
Starting point is 00:17:44 But like, why are you trying to catch Maya up on Carl's dirty laundry? Like, it's just, we're out. Like, why? What's the point? So that's why I had to raise my hand and say something. And I think there's a difference when it's something that happened within the group or, like, in the house especially, that it's like, oh, yeah, like last summer, this happened between, you know, Amanda and Sierra or whoever, you know, that it's like, that's relevant to the relationships you're forming. but when it's like he didn't miss he missed the sales meeting or something. It's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:18:18 I'm like, that's not, that's not what you should be bringing up. Like, we should not be talking about that. And like I did it. I wanted to have a nice dinner. My first dinner in the house, of course, something blows up with Kyle. Gosh. Like, oh, my God, pass the tequila. I was like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:18:32 That dinner felt like there was a lot going on. Well, think about it. We're like a first family dinner, essentially. We're out in public. We're in Southampton. And there's three newbies who have no idea. are dynamics within the house. Now all of a sudden, I'm yelling with Kyle.
Starting point is 00:18:48 And they're probably like, what did I just do? And I'm like, is it too late for me to back out of this? But like at one point, like, Amanda's like dragging her chair to the other end of the table to like catch up over there. I'm like, can everybody sit down? Like essentially like the house. Like it's like musical chairs, musical bedrooms. Like it's a theme for the entire summer probably.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Do you, I feel like that's one of those things where like I'm too old for this. Like I just want like, I just want to eat a nice meal. And like, you know, have to. much tequila and dance with my friends. Now I'm just like yelling at Kyle. Oh, boy. Here we go. So knowing, you really did go hard for Carl in that moment. And I know you were saying, watching this season back with everything that's happened since then, it is kind of a tough position for you to be in. Do you, in that specific situation, do you kind of still feel like you'd stand by what you did? Absolutely. 100%. I mean, it is hard to watch because,
Starting point is 00:19:43 Because actually, I gave myself a pat of the back. I think I was pretty well executed on, like, how I was feeling about the situation and didn't make it messy or say something I didn't mean. I truly meant every word that I said, I don't want to be in lover boy's business. I'm a CEO founder myself. And I, if Kyle was doing that to me and poking his nose in my business, I would be upset. But there's a way that you talk about your employees. There's a way in which, and I think that his emotions got the best of him.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Like, Kyle, like, for better for like, he's a really emotional guy. And when it comes to his business, he brings his emotions into it because he cares about it so much and he cares about Carl so much. He is also his own worst enemy. So he kind of like those two things together, like wasn't, it was a recipe for disaster in that moment. But I do have a lot of respect for Kyle. And I do have a lot of respect for Carl. So I really do stand by standing up to Kyle because Kyle should know that he shouldn't be doing that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:40 And I think especially with everything we've. seen Carl go through the last couple years and his sobriety journey and how open he's been with all of that. It feels like a little bit of like salt in the wound to bring up that specifically. And listen, Carl texted me yesterday. We haven't talked since the summer. But I think it was hard for him to watch that back because he knew he knew from his perspective that I like made a phone call afterward to them to tell him like this went down at dinner. And we see that in this this upcoming episode. And he only heard that part of it.
Starting point is 00:21:14 And I kind of gave like the cliff notes of that dinner. So now he watches the entire dinner and what, like everything that went down. And I think that was surprising for him because I really did have his back. And so he texted me to acknowledge and appreciate that I had done that for him. I like that's, that's nice. I know like Lindsay has said publicly that she hopes you guys can get to a better place before they get married. Like I know obviously right now not a lot has happened in that space necessarily. Nope, nothing.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Nothing to report there. I think, you know, it's hard because we have to watch it back, right? And if this were any other friendship breakup, we wouldn't have a TV show to watch back. Right. Either you're going to reach out or you're not. So it bothers me that we haven't gotten to that point yet of like reaching out. especially what's going on in my personal life with Robert. I thought there was like a hope that like maybe she'd be like, hey,
Starting point is 00:22:13 I know we're not in a good place right now or I'm not speaking, but I just want to let you know that I heard what's going on and I'm here for you, something like that. But no, she's planning a wedding. Yeah, it's stressful. I don't have another. Yeah, drink a cocktail. No, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:22:31 And I think we were saying, you know, kind of before we even sat down, that this is your life that you've been on the show. for seven years. I think a lot of people that watch it to think that it's either scripted, half scripted, or that were these characters. And I was bound to flip flop on, or flip flop on Lindsay. And like, this is a storyline. It's crafted.
Starting point is 00:22:55 It's absolutely not. And that's what hurts the most when you watch it back because this is my real life. And I'm like I've mourned a loss before. And now I have to relive it all over again. With the court of public opinion, with confessionals and people also weighing in that I didn't know people were talking about. You know, like the house talks. Right. And now I get to watch what they were like what they were saying.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Like, oh, God. Yeah, the confessionals to me are always the thing where it's like. Oh, so that's how you really feel. You said all of that into the camera. I know you're not that drunk too. So you meant that. Study. And play.

Sprite is a registered trademark of the Coca-Cola Company. How do you handle all of the social media? chatter, the noise. Do you try not to engage with it as much as possible, or do you have like a strategy for that? So I think this is another reason why like people didn't really get to know me in the beginning of my time at Summerhouse is because I, because of where I worked, I had to not look
Starting point is 00:24:57 at it. It would ruin my day sometimes. And that's not the kind of job that you could not focus. So I would just remove myself from social media. Like I just wouldn't look at it and I wouldn't post as much. And I think that hurt me because people didn't. really get to know me as much. Now I will look at it. I will address certain things. And I just have a much thicker skin about it now. And now I'm also my own boss. So like if I need to take a time out to like cry for 15 minutes, then I can do that. Hopefully not like too too too too often. Every day I'm crying. You're like I never get anything done. It's all 15 minute cry breaks. I'm just weeping the entire day. Can you imagine? No, I think I think that's one of those things where
Starting point is 00:25:39 obviously in terms of your work situation, it makes sense that you've changed your view on that a little bit, but also just to stay on the show for this long. First of all, more people have discovered the show. I feel like Summerhouse was a show during quarantine times that so many people were like, oh, let me binge this. And now you have like so many more voices and people feel like they know you better. Yeah. People feel like they have.
Starting point is 00:26:05 A lot of people are upset about Lindsay and I. Like so much. Like you better get back together with your best friend. I'm just like, whoa. It's, it has to be kind of, I don't know, like two sides of the coin that it's like, it's nice that people want things to be great. Yeah. But also, you don't know me.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Yeah. It's like, I hear you. But I'm just like, it's overwhelming like paragraphs and paragraphs. And it is nice that they care so much about Lindsay and I. And we did have such a great sisterhood, I thought. But I have had more time with it than others. So just give me a little bit more time and a little bit more grace. It's not easy to navigate this.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Yeah. We're adults and everything that we do and we say has real consequence, which I, by the way, hate. So like we're at this like really adult stage and like I just think that our friendship has evolved. And not in the direction that I would have liked it to, but who knows what the future holds. I still hold out hope. I say this now because we're on episode three. That might change. You might have to get me back and I might have something to yell about.
Starting point is 00:27:11 But right now, like, enough time has gone by from when we filmed and all this stuff went down where I'm like, I'm feeling a little softer about it. I'm not as angry. I'm not as upset. I'm not like in my head about it. I am more open. And that's what time does, right? So by the time we get to the reunion, who knows, it might be a cuddly teddy bear.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Or I might be a raging bitch. We don't know. Yeah, I don't know how the cuddly teddy bear is going to age. We'll see. We got a lot of season to get through. Yeah, we'll see. A lot of tweets to read. A lot of confessionists to see.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Oh, I don't go on Twitter. I cannot. Reddit is more of the space where I think it's... Oh, you like Reddit more? I think that people that are on Reddit, they were either past English majors or comm or something. The way that they like put together an analysis, I'm all about. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:59 Reddit is like for thinkers. Yeah, it's very cerebral. Twitter is for trash. I can't. I just really, I truly can't. No, I mean,
Starting point is 00:28:06 Twitter can be exhausting sometimes. And I say this as somebody who uses it as like a fan, I guess. Am I like insulting you? No, but it's like sometimes I see people on Twitter
Starting point is 00:28:16 that I'm like, no, like you need to get a life. Like you need to. Like something is wrong. I'm begging for you to find a hobby. Is that Lisa Rina?
Starting point is 00:28:27 No, I'm not talking about people on Bravo. I'm kidding, but she also needs. Look, I mean, she's at Fashion Week. She's busy. Yeah, she's busy. She's busy.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Sometimes she goes out there. I'm like, girl, delete it. Delete it now. Do you have like a favorite housewives show? Is there one you enjoy the most? Right now, God, I love Housewives of Potomac. Yeah. They are so good.
Starting point is 00:28:51 And Miami. Miami is great. No notes. No notes. I actually bumped into Lisa out West. And she is such a doll. Isn't she so sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:04 She was like, do you want to take a picture? Like maybe we can post it. I'm like, we're off duty, ma'am. I didn't call her ma'am. I should have to be bad. I was like, we're off duty. We don't need to do that. And she like kind of appreciated that.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Like it's not. Yeah. It was genuinely nice to like meet and have a chat with her versus, oh, we need to put something up on social media to prove that we were together. She's really sweet. And I think like everything that has been happening like with her whole storyline. It's not a storyline. And but this season, it's like, you really, people have really like come out of the woodwork to support her.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah. I mean, she's, like, she's went through it. And it's on the most public platform. And so, and she looks great. So whatever she's doing is working. Yeah. Yeah. So I like to ask people, obviously, Winterhouse is a thing.
Starting point is 00:29:48 You haven't been on Winterhouse, but we also have Ultimate Girls trip. There's all these kind of like mash up vibes going around. Who from Bravo would you want to like go on a trip with or do something? something fun with. Oh, man. This is hard. I really love below deck. Gary, Courtney, C.
Starting point is 00:30:09 I would party with them in a heartbeat. They know how to, like, they know how to have fun. And I really love the guys on Family Karma. Yes. They're so, so sweet and so fun. Like, I know that we could have fun and I know that it'd be responsible enough that we would make it home. That's like the, like, if we went on a trip, like,
Starting point is 00:30:29 like a, we went on a Euro trip together. I mean, like, they'd be like, all right, does everyone have their passport? I'd be like, yep. And I'd just follow them. No, I feel like family karma cast. It's like, they're going to make sure that you have like your keys and your wallet at the end of the day. Yeah, they're like, you're going to make it home. Everything's going to be fine.
Starting point is 00:30:43 You need that. You need that friend in the group. Yes. If I'm with Gary from below deck, I know that I might never make it home or I'll be shoeless. The below, the way the below deck people can like just fucking go. Honestly, but like they're not. They're not American. Like most of them are not American.
Starting point is 00:31:00 There's something about either being, I don't know what it is. Maybe they get started a little bit younger and so they have a lot of years under their belt. I don't know what it is, but they could handle their alcohol for so much longer. I mean, put them up against Kyle. Like, they're going to win. Right. And Kyle is good at it.
Starting point is 00:31:18 I'm not trying to age him or anything. Maybe I am. No, I mean, but yeah. He's tenured. Tenured. Kyle is tenured in the game. You're, you know, you're getting there. You're almost tenured.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I love that. Well, is there anything coming up on this season? We're a few episodes in now. Are you, how are you feeling about the rest of the season? I know there's some tough stuff ahead, but how are you kind of mentally preparing for that? I have a therapist now, which is great. Love that. And also, like, I'm really close with the girls now.
Starting point is 00:31:51 And it's really fun to have that relationship with them and not feel like I'm isolated. It could have, the season could have really wanted. that direction had I not put myself first, let's say, especially with the Lindsay stuff. Like I could have just been the odd man out if I kept going so hard for Lindsay and not really put a lot of effort into, you know, making friends, especially with the newbies. I mean, they are so fun. And I really, and with Chris, because we're both Hispanic, I really think I let my, my guard down.
Starting point is 00:32:24 You see more of my personality. It's silly. It's goofy. I always say Paige is like very dry humor and she's hilarious. And I'm more of like the Will Ferrell like I use my body. I'm physical humor is my thing. Like I don't know. I'm goofy.
Starting point is 00:32:40 You've come a long way from just being like the girl who shows up and gets drunk and then goes back to work. Yeah. It has like a sloppy makeout of this July. I forgot. It was like season three. I don't know what it was. It haunts me forever.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Like I'm like making out or like something happens and there's like I like mascara coming down my face. I'm like girl. That's a lot of moments. Do you? Is it tough for you to revisit like the old seasons? Oh yeah. I didn't like my hair. I was a hot ass mess. I mean, I still am, but I have extensions now. I mean, stages, levels. It's a journey. It's a journey. We're still evolving here with the whole look. Well, Danielle, thank you so much for
Starting point is 00:33:17 being here today. Is it over ready? I hate that. Yeah. You're going to do a little like video thing after. It's fine. I like this. Thank you. This was so fun. Thank you.
