Girl, winter is so last season.
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes.
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs.
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Betches Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All.
A Bravo by Betcha's podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With Dylan Hafer.
Who don't check me, boo?
And Barry Rosenfeld.
I need to start drinking alcohol.
Now go to sleep week.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer.
And I'm Barry Rosenfeld.
I hope you had a...
Happy, happy Monday.
Wonderful weekend.
Barry, I hear you might be like a little bit
on the struggle bus right now.
Yeah.
More than a little.
Like a little more than a little, but I'm not, it's not the worst I've ever been.
But, you know.
Well, that's good.
I feel like the, like, I mean, not to like project onto you, but like the worst I've ever
been is like pretty bad.
So if you were like, I would hate to see you suffering so much in the name of podcast.
Yeah.
I've already, obviously, we know the first sign is always my voice.
but I have a headache.
I'm drinking my coffee.
I already took a nap today.
It's 11.
I had a wedding last night.
So it's not like I just every Monday I wake up and I'm just like, oh, here we go again.
Barry's like my Sunday, fun day got out of control again.
Oh my God.
Imagine.
I'm madone.
Obviously, we are talking about real hostiles of Potomac today.
We're going to skip shots this week.
We'll get to it next week.
Lots to talk about.
But, I mean, more than enough to talk about just from Potomac because, honey, another extended episode, another, you know, group event with a questionable theme.
You know, there's a lot going on.
So here's the thing.
If you're going to have a theme, there has to be decor.
You know, like I didn't feel the love.
Yeah.
I feel like this is the second.
So we last episode and continuing into this one, we have Wendy's nude interlude, which.
okay I don't again a little iffy on the theme and then I could have done without the eating of the nipples
individually of the cupcakes you know like apparently the nipples were like extra yummy though flick the nipple
flick the nip um and at the end of the episode we have karen's Karen huger's love lunch which is
another thing where it's like okay it's like it's like a couples event they're doing this kind of newlywed
game but it's like I mean it's just like a a lunch party a luncheon like exactly lunches
just fine. What have I always said? Forced fun is not fun. Like, you know, it's interesting, though. So,
obviously, we see Karen and Giselle, you know, finishing up their big fight at the nude interlude.
And the love lunch is purportedly Karen Hugar's idea to try and get Giselle back on the right
track because she thinks that her anger is misplaced and she's really just mad about Jamal. And it is
hilariously, like, delusional to me to think that what's going to make
Giselle feel better about her failed relationship, inviting her to a couple's lunch.
It's like, Karen, please.
At someone's house who she's not on good terms with.
So the whole idea was not there.
Right.
Like, if you were truly trying to make someone feel better about their relationship status,
wouldn't you have, like, a girl's night or, like, you know, just something where you
weren't thinking about love at all.
I was not,
I was like a little bummed that Giselle decided not to come to that event,
but at the same time,
like,
you can't blame her.
Yeah,
I honestly think it was better off because I'm more excited to talk about like
what actually happened at the love lunch,
you know?
Yeah,
it was a good event.
But before we get there,
we have some other little tidbits to talk about.
First of all,
we get a more in-depth look at Giselle's newly completed
West Wing, which I have to say, I agree with Robin.
The interior is like nicer than I expected.
It's definitely a little more tasteful than the rest of Giselle's home with the purple
wall.
Again, the outdoor situation, it doesn't look great.
Yeah, it, like I feel like, well, because they, when they, when they showed Robin's
confession and she was like, look, the exterior like, it looks like shit, basically.
and they showed it.
It was like,
aren't there usually
blueprints before
and you see what it's going to look like
and don't you have an opinion
but at the same,
like,
oh,
I don't like that I would have switched that.
But based on Giselle's fashion sense,
I can't imagine she would be like,
oh my God,
let me tell you how I think my outside of my house
should look like.
I don't think she really cares.
Yeah,
I think it's a mixed,
like I think the shape is a little strange
to begin with because it does kind of look tacked on,
but then also like,
you know,
you could make,
the whatever, like the stone work or the brick work really look more seamless and I don't think
she's quite gotten there.
But yeah, but she needs to christen that Versace comfort her.
The inside of the of the closet is really nice.
Like, and I actually liked how the glam section, I like notice this right when I said it,
because I've never seen any other housewife have this.
They have like separate rooms.
But I kind of like how it was in the closet, but on the other side of the closet.
So you're all kind of like would be in there hanging out and getting.
and ready. Yeah, I thought that upstairs space especially looked really nice. And also shout out to
Giselle. She announced on Watch What Happens Live that chat room is coming back in August for a couple
weeks at least. It's unclear like how long their season is going to be. But that's fun.
Oh, oh, I wonder if they're having a replacement, you know? Oh, yeah. Well, it's interesting because
obviously Kate left, but then Hannah's not on Summerhouse anymore either. So is Hannah still like
in the Bravo chat room family? I don't know.
we'll see i don't know i mean i could be kind of cool with just jazelle and portia that could be
except for the fact that joselle and portia like don't really fuck with each other so i think that would
be a little uncomfortable but maybe maybe get like one new person in the mix whether hannah's there
or not i think that would be fun um meanwhile we get a glimpse at what kandis is doing with her
career which is kind of everything um she's real she's shooting a tv pilot which looks a little more legit than
Kenya's pilot
back of the day.
Life twirls on.
Well, I was
it's giving me
very like,
I was going to say
lifetime vibes,
but not,
like it's more advanced
than lifetime,
but not quite like,
Bravo.
She's been,
I mean,
we see some clips in the show.
She's been kind of
making that acting thing
happened.
She was in a,
like a BET Christmas
movie.
last year. Like, she's definitely been, you know, working as an actor. And I think that's actually a
really solid lane for her to sort of do those like, you know, like TV movie direct to streaming,
like not necessarily, she's not necessarily going for like, you know, the box office queen
gig. But like, if she can work steadily, like, that's going to be such a great thing. And we see Chris is now
her husband juror, which I don't love that word, but I think the business arrangement could work.
And he goes, I have no experience in being a manager at all. And I was like, all right, well, that would
probably be the first step of being a husbandager. But he, I think that Candace is very passionate about
everything she does. It's like very obvious. So I feel like Chris even is like, wants to be there to
support her and he said he's not managing like her like jobs he's managing her like it didn't I don't
understand I don't understand how do you get the job yeah I mean we know how he got the job I
it is one of those things where I feel like it's probably just helpful for Candace to have
somebody kind of like helping her with stuff and that you know I don't know if I feel like a man
can be a lot of different things.
And, like, what he's doing as her husbandger might not be the same as, like,
if you were to go out and, like, hire an entertainment manager.
But, you know, it seems like it's working for them so far.
Exactly.
That's what to say about it.
If it's working for you, then that's what you need to continue to do.
Okay?
Just who cares.
Do you, boo?
Yes.
Who cares what everybody else has to say, okay?

a little more of a formal introduction to her.
We see her at home with her kids.
She's juggling, you know, a meeting and a face time and her kids.
To be honest, like, I feel like I don't have that much to say about her yet.
Like, I'm interested in her dynamic with Wendy later in the episode.
But like, I'm like, okay, like whatever.
She seems like a, you know, she has businesses.
She has kids.
Totally.
I agree.
However, this is what I have to say, right?
ready so last week remember i was like i think mea's nice she seems nice that's what i said
so was my first impression of her so the whole situation with what wendy calls her out for about
joselle is exactly what we're doing right now it was her first impression of joselle and now
i get wendy what where wendy's coming from because like you could tell wendy wendy was not feeling her
from the second she walked in like that just happened sometimes but she's
like, okay, so you said you like you,
Giselle's a good heart and now you're changing your mind.
Okay, I thought Mia was nice last week and this week I could have a totally different
opinion on her because I found out more information about her.
Yeah, like I feel kind of weird about the whole like Mia,
Giselle, Karen, Wendy dynamic just because I think I agree with you that it's like,
you know, it's your first impression.
Like you might not really like have that much of an idea of someone.
But I did think it was weird going back to the nude.
interlude. I just love saying that. I thought it was strange how like me, Karen brought Mia to this event. Mia had never met any of the other women. Karen obviously fucking hates Jazeel. Giselle hates Karen. They're like totally going at it. And then Mia, I did think it was weird how she sort of was like almost a little bit on Jizel's side. The no loyalty aspect. Yeah. Right. Because like, you know, they literally finish this kind of knock down drag out where it's, you know, hot box.
and, you know, First Lady from Hell and all of this stuff.
And then Mia's like, well, I think Jazeal has a good heart.
And like, I get, you know, if that's your first impression, fine.
But like, if I was in that situation and Karen was my only link to the group before that
night, I think I would be like, I wouldn't say anything nice about Chazelle.
Like, I might be like collecting information, but I would be like, okay, like, that was a lot.
like I need to get to know you better so I can figure out what's actually going on.
But I thought it was interesting how she was so quick to say she has a good heart.
And then, you know, later seemed to be kind of like maybe she had gotten some more information from Karen or had kind of like did a little more digging.
And then it was kind of like, I don't know if I can trust her.
And it's like, yeah.
I don't know.
Mia to me is doing like a little too much too soon in terms of like getting involved.
Yeah.
So I was just going to say going off that is I don't know if I can trust Mia just yet, just yet.
Like, I don't know enough.
And honestly, Wendy, I feel like might be coming on a little too strong in the censor she doesn't like her.
But at this point, I think I might be like team Wendy.
I mean, I would say I'm team Wendy more than I'm team Mia just because I already have a relationship with Wendy.
Yeah, we have loyalty to Wendy.
I mean, yeah, like as a viewer of the show, I liked Wendy last season.
I have, she hasn't given me a reason to dislike her yet, except I don't love like stripper
shaming as a housewives trope in general.
But, you know, I just, I think Mia needs to like settle in a little bit more.
And I like that she's getting in there and, you know, like, you know, making things interesting
right off the bat.
But I also want to see a little more of like just how she interacts with other people.
And, you know, this week was the first time she met Candice because Candice comes to Karen's love lunch.
And I actually thought I was, I liked the way Karen and Candice handled their shit.
Me too.
Right away when they came in, you know, they had a tiny little awkward moment.
But then, you know, what do you mean when Candace was like, I'm freezing?
And again, Karen goes, what do you want to do?
I was like, I'm just come inside.
But yeah, I mean, Candice immediately invited Karen to come see her new home.
And they sort of, I thought that was a really nice olive branch.
And they both agreed, you know, like today is not the day to really hash things out.
And so much of the time, we see that on Housewives where one person is like, now is not the time.
And the other person is like, well, fuck that.
I'm going to bring it up.
And I appreciated that they both seem to be on the same page about like, we have stuff to talk about.
But let's just let's keep it.
Let's keep it cool for now.
Yeah, like every scene with Candice so far is like her just coming out of her shell more.
And not that she was ever shy, but just feeling way more comfortable with all the women and like and getting out of the way all the problems that she had last season.
And I kind of, I really do so far really am enjoying Candice.
I am so curious to see.
I agree with you.
I think Candice this season so far seems like she's in a peaceful place.
you know, she has her bonus kids that she's focused on.
She has a lot going on with her career.
And she seems now that Monique has gone, like, other than maybe Ashley, which we haven't
really gotten into that dynamic yet this season, she seems to be in sort of a peaceful place
with everyone.
And I'm curious to see what it's going to be that sort of disturbs that piece coming up,
because we know she throws a salad.
We know there's like trouble on the horizon.
but I like I like what we're seeing from her so far.
Like so far, Mia seems like the type of person where it's easy to get into an argument with.
And that's why I think that like she just seems with that smirk on her face.
Like she is confident.
The smirk on her face.
Yeah.
She can make like a little petty comment.
We see her and Wendy.
It almost caught me off guard.
I was like, did I miss something?
Because it felt like they got so heated so quickly with the don't put your hand in my face.
you know, it's in your face. What are you going to do? Like all of that stuff. And then it's sort of like
diffused so quickly. Also, it was like a flash in the pan, but it felt so real. And clearly,
we see from their Twitter interactions that they are not in a good place now. I don't get the
whole thing called like, like using being a stripper as a dig. Like it's so stupid. It's your,
it was your job at one point. And a lot of people to be honest, like do that and are a lot more
successful than we both are because I don't know about you, but I am, I love what, you know how everything on
TikTok is like a name like like stripper top.
Like yeah, strip talk is one of the best TikToks to watch when they organize their money and
and it goes an envelope.
They're so good.
What the fuck?
It's like yeah.
So like tonight, tonight was kind of slow.
So I did like 600 and then I got another 250 on Venmo from a private dance.
I'm like, damn girl.
But then you have to pay the house fee.
You have to give him like 20 bucks.
It's like $20.
Yeah.
No, it's like obviously it's like problematic to criticize someone for being a stripper in the past.
But on top of that, it's just like lame.
Like get over it.
They met at a strip club.
Why does it matter whether she was behind the bar or on the poll?
Like I don't care.
Because to be honest, I used to strive to want to do that.
Also, they seem like they have a really great relationship.
And so it's not like it would be.
one thing, if you got a vibe that it was like, oh, she's like, they're not into each other.
She's just like hot.
But it's like, no, they have kids together.
They're married.
They seem to be in a very happy relationship from the little we've seen.
Like, just cool it off.
Nobody cares where they met.
Exactly.
Not only do they not care where they met, but also when they were going into detail of why
she got her clitoris done is also a weird vibe because they were like, oh, you had C-sections.
Like, that must be what?
Who gives a shit?
Like, no one's questioning why anyone got their boobs done, their nose done, or whatever.
Like, keep it to yourself or get your own clitoris done if you want to.
Another week goes by where we have a, I can't say it anymore that we have, I've gone over my limit of saying the C word today.
Okay, then should we talk about, should we talk about Ashley and Michael's sex life instead?
Oh, God.
Yeah, Michael and Ashley.
I feel bad.
She's so uncomfortable right now.
physically because of how pregnant she is.
But you know what?
She is loyal to her husband and she needs to make him feel like a man.
And that's exactly what she's been doing up until she has the baby.
You know, I just, I feel like I'm good on hearing about Ashley and Michael's sex life.
Like I don't, I don't need a whole lot more detail.
And it's like, you know, Ashley's mom seems to be fine with hearing about it, which like more power to her.
but I just like, when Ashley's like, you know, God gave me more than one hole to her mom, I'm like, oh, oh, Ashley, please.
Yeah, I don't, like to each their own, but I don't, those are things I might discuss with like my friends, not my mom.
But again, I mean, Ashley is certainly telling us things that sound good about her relationship with Michael.
I mean, it seems like they're in a good place.
I guess we've been fooled before, but like, it's the kind of thing where it's like, do I like Michael?
No, like, do I want, do I want Michael to be like celebrated?
No, but at the same time, like, if he's treating Ashley well, I'm not mad about that.
Exactly.
And at the same time, we haven't really seen.
I wonder if he truly is taking a step back because of like how many people don't like him.
And but she, remember last year, this whole.
conversation about like they're obviously going to keep Ashley because Ashley's a good housewife,
but they would never get rid of her just because of Michael. But I wonder if they're just like,
if Michael's not going to be in it as much because they're like, we need to keep Ashley for sure.
And we haven't seen him. Yeah. I mean, it guess it's weird. It's hard because it's only been two
episodes. So like I feel like we're still kind of getting the vibe. Like he was in the first
episode. He wasn't last night. I thought it was interesting that Ashley came to the love lunch
without Michael and said that he was at home watching the baby.
And Karen acted like that was like something shady.
And I'm like, honestly, like, this is a man who previously seemed to not want to give his kids the time of day.
So like maybe the fact that he's like babysitting Dean isn't such a bad thing.
Slash didn't want to be in this scene.
It's making sense.
It's making sense.
But, okay, we have to talk about Giselle and.
Jamal and her daughters and that whole situation because that was a wild ride.
I feel like Jazeel has now really come to her senses and is like, and she's even like
he lives in the phone.
So she's like completely turned around.
Yeah.
And she has said like it needs to be put on pause.
This can't happen because there's no foundation to the relationship anymore.
There's no intimacy.
There's no, they haven't seen each other.
And I feel like after all of what happened in the past for now for this to be a revelation for her, like, you know what?
Everything that's happened this season, we're like, okay, you know what?
Just go with it.
Just go with it.
And for this, I really want to just go with it.
I want her to like, she has figured it out.
And I want her to continue doing that because.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I feel like we're not ever going to get like a hundred percent realness from just.
about like what their relationship actually was because I think for most of us watching it are like
I don't think it was ever that great and Robin sort of says as much she's like yeah I'm not
surprised but I'm glad that kind of in the moment now she's being honest about the fact that
they're not together and you know like that it probably isn't for the best or like is it going to work
whatever like I'm glad that we don't have to watch this season her
kind of be in denial about it because toward the end of last season it was a little bit like
girl come on like you're better than this and um this season i mean i don't know if we're going
to see her dating anyone else or whether she's just going to be kind of focusing on herself
but i i'm glad that we're not going to have to hear a whole season of like pretending that
jamal is really sad he can't make it well i hope that we see her date someone or else that would be
a waste of a rsatchi comforter but her her her
when she was like, I just want to, you guys, if I can give you any advice and all three of her
daughters at the same time, we're like, no, no, you need to take our advice. They're like,
girl, please. Your taste. Your taste is trash. That is, I like, I love how Jaze's daughters are comfortable,
really being real with their mom. And I think, you know, it's easy to watch those, those clips and be like,
oh, they're so mean to her or whatever. But I feel like they actually have a really good relationship because
Giselle can kind of like take it from them and it's I feel like it does ultimately come from
a place of love no matter how like sarcastic they are. I just yeah. I mean I want the best for Giselle.
I think they want the best for Giselle and I always thought that it was kind of impressive
how they could separate the fact that like mom and dad being back together might not actually be
like the best thing.
And I'm glad that Giselle is now
has arrived at that realization.
Yeah. I feel like because
she just always wanted it to be in
her daughter's best interests.
And now that she's seeing it's not,
she's, I feel like, able
with herself to move on.
But.
Totally.
Jizel.
Jizel.
Wait, one last.
So one last thing.
I want to talk about Wendy's
family dinner.
And so we see her with her mom,
her sister.
her brother, everybody's there.
And Wendy reveals that she wants to start a candle business or a home,
a home, you know, like a home goods line that it is mainly a candle.
Candles.
Yeah.
It's a candle.
Another, another housewife candle.
I'm looking at one of Tiffany Moons right now.
I have one of Jill's in the other room.
Like, do we need, do we need more candles?
So that is the.
question with like anything in the world.
Anything.
I know.
And everyone looks at it like, let's just say, Wendy.
You can be like, well, if so-and-so made a candle, why can't I?
I have a platform.
I have an audience.
I have fans.
But it's like, it's like any time you see something new in the world, not just in house size.
You're like, we don't need that.
Does the market, is it, did we need that?
Yeah.
So it makes the world go around.
I mean, that's what makes capitalism go around.
Yeah.
You know, I want Wendy to do whatever makes Wendy happy, which is not being a professor at this moment.
That's clear.
I just, you know, I don't know about the candle situation.
And I'm not, to be honest, I don't blame her mom for being a little bit like, okay.
Because it's like, you know, she's done all this stuff.
She has her degrees and everything.
And then it's like, here's my candle.
It's like, okay.
I guess so.
Would you rather receive as a gift,
La Dom perfume or a Zenwen candle?
A Zen one candle.
I love candle.
So let me just retract.
I would be that customer who's in the market.
Forget I just,
you can never have truly,
you can never have enough candles.
But I guess you can say the same thing about perfume.
But perfume, you have your distinct perfume.
You go, it takes a long time to go through.
you're not just going to, I don't know.
So me personally, a candle.
But I feel like you would say the perfume because you have it.
No, I don't have the perfume.
I thought you have.
I thought you have it.
Let me tell you.
I have fucking DMed Karen Hugar about that perfume and I have never, never received even a sample.
Wendy, send us candles.
We were more fun.
No, I have heard mixed reviews about LaDome.
And I've heard no reviews about Zen when because I don't think it exists yet.
But to be honest, I have heard good things, though, about Tiffany Moon's candles.
They're nice.
They're nice.
Yeah.
I have two of them.
I really like them.
And she makes a lot.
There's a lot of different scents.
So, you know, I might have to get some more.
You can do so much with candles.
It's maybe, you know what?
I'm going to let's go ahead and make a mention it all candle for you guys.
I'm going to do that.
Because you know what?
Oh my goodness.
Well, we don't have the candle quite yet.
But if you want to check out any of our other Bravo by Betches merch, you can go to
Betches.com slash bravo merch.
We have lots of good stuff in there that aren't candles, but are probably even better.
Yet, yeah.
Honestly, though, I feel like a candle is more of like a fall winter vibe.
And we are like stocked for summer in the Bravo by Betches shop.
Because think about it.
And this, you know what?
My brain is going into brainstorm.
right now. We will have that for fall and winter because there's nothing better than lighting your
candle on that Sunday night and putting on your Bravo TV, pouring yourself a glass of wine in our
bravo wine glasses. And we just made yourself, we just made you guys a date night. Okay. You're welcome.
I'm ready. I'm marking my calendar. Oh, well, thank you so much for listening. Everyone,
