Mention It All - VPR’s New Shift & RHOBH’s Divorce Parade (Plus RHOSLC & SLOMW)
Episode Date: December 5, 2025It’s another very busy Friday episode, and before diving into the week’s biggest news, Dylan takes a minute to honor his favorite Bravo memes of 2025. Then, he shares some thoughts on the latest s...eason of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the Fruity Pebbles drama, and whether the show will be able to keep up with the cast’s never-ending mess. Then, he checks in on Vanderpump Rules, who kicked off its new era this week to mixed reviews. This cast has a lot of the right pieces, but is there any way to shake off the comparisons? Later, he recaps the season 15 premiere of RHOBH, which sees a whole host of divorce updates along with Rachel Zoe’s chic arrival. He finishes the episode with some quick RHOSLC thoughts, and an update on Jen Shah’s impending prison release. Betches Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, boo.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I am truly so happy to be back.
We took last week off for Thanksgiving,
but earlier this week, we had our episode with Meredith Marks out.
So if you haven't listened to that or watched that wherever you're listening and watching,
make sure you go check it out.
We talked about Jen Shaw getting released from prison. We talked about what the fuck happened on that flight. We talked about lots of good stuff. It's always a pleasure to chat with Mrs. Marks. And yeah, make sure you go subscribe to our YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash at Bravo by Betches. We have a fun episode coming up next Tuesday with two of our new Vanderpump Rules crew. I got to talk with Natalie and with Marcus on their premiere day earlier this week.
week about, you know, stuff from the premiere, stuff from, you know, the vaults of Sir. That was fun.
I had a good time chatting with them. So make sure you're subscribed wherever you listen or watch so you
don't miss that episode coming out next week. And of course, more good stuff coming, you know,
from now until the end of time. It was really fun this week. Spotify wrapped came out on Wednesday.
And I always love seeing, you know, what everybody's listening to and streaming. And it was
especially fun this year to see so many of you guys having mentioned it all in your top five or your
top, you know, show or 10 or whatever. I am so grateful for everyone who listens to this show and
watches it on Spotify, YouTube, wherever you get your mention at all. So truly, thank you so much
for a great year. We're going to be coming to you later this month with a more like year-in-review
wrap-up Bravo episode. But for today, I want to shout out. We have our betch of the year.
awards that are going on right now. Every year, this is the third year in a row that Betches puts
together a whole year-end kind of award presentation celebrating some of our favorite moments in
pop culture and internet culture all year long. So Betch of the Year is live now. We have a top
Betch of the Year category where we featured all of our nominees and did a whole photo shoot
and video package. So you can go check that out at Betches.com and also vote for all the categories.
I'm personally, I'm pulling for Ms. Amaya Papaya for Bech of the Year.
She's one of our cover stars.
So go check out.
The photos are super fun.
Everything came out amazing.
But to kind of, to celebrate the occasion of Bech of the Year, I wanted to think of a little fun category that we could do that feels Bravo appropriate.
And so I put together a few of my favorite Bravo meme moments of the year.
Now, this was tricky because I truly have no concept of what happened.
when? So I was like, the first thing that came to find, I'm like, oh, like high body count hair,
that was not this year. But you know what was this year? Stacey rushes, but still I rise. The Potomac
reunion last season just solidified Stacey as an important figure in our lives and on our TV screens.
And it really was wild to see in real time somebody just like completely changing their image as a real
housewife and going from kind of like, as they would say in Hercules, like from zero to hero,
really quick. And Stacey has managed to sustain into her second season. We'll talk a little bit
about that later. But that was maybe my number one. It's definitely in the top few. Next on the list,
we have Sheproses, just disastrous text to Sienna in the Bahamas, just her freckled little
lips. Good morning, Sienna. It is chilling. It is chilling. It is.
is, you know, spine tingling.
The fact that Shep just, like, manages to keep crawling back from absolute embarrassments like that, I've been catching up on Southern Charm.
I'm not really going to get into it today, but we'll talk about it next week.
But, like, now watching Shep, like, have a crush on this girl, Charlie, it's like, let these women go.
Free the women of South Carolina from Shep Rose.
It is, and the women of the Bahamas and everywhere on earth.
you know, at least the like hot 20-somethings. Free them from Shepros. Really. It's enough.
It's enough. No, but I can't go on a tangent. But that text every time, every time we hear it,
every time I see it, just I want to crawl into a hole and frankly die. But next on the list,
Lisa Barlow, Lisa Barlow, everybody knows I do big things. This one has really, I think maybe,
maybe more than anything since but still I rise,
Lisa Barlow saying everybody knows I do big things
has just like wormed its way into my brain
and I kind of can't stop saying it.
And so, you know, say what you will about Lisa this season.
I would say she's not having her best season
on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,
but everybody knows I do big things.
She lives a very different life from all of you.
And the sooner you wrap your mind around that,
I actually saw it.
There was some really funny
There was a funny thread on the Bravo Real Housewives subreddit the other day.
I don't spend a lot of time on there, but every once in a while I'll kind of pop in and see what the people are chatting about.
And there was a thread on there that it was just like Lisa Barlow's life would be so much easier if she could just accept that she's middle class.
It's hilarious because it's like most of you listening to this podcast are probably middle class.
It's not an insult to be middle class, but to somebody like Lisa Barlow, it's an insult to be middle class.
And it was reading this thread, it was like, you know, she doesn't have the rich husband that some of these women do or she didn't inherit money the way some of these women did.
Like, she just doesn't have it like that.
And if she could accept that and move on from it, so many of the issues would clear up in her life.
And it will never happen.
Also, I don't know if she is middle class.
I have not seen this woman's finances. To be honest, I don't know what middle class actually means.
Like, when I was a kid, I feel like it was like, okay, if you're, you know, if your parents have
normal jobs and you don't live in a big mansion, you know, a big old mansion, you're probably
middle class. Like, I don't know. You're like, you have bills to pay. That's like what normal people
just kind of the average family vibe. In 2025, I'm like, what does middle class mean anymore?
I mean, a carton of eggs is like, what, $13?
I, every time I go to the store, I'm not leaving spending less than like $60.
What is middle class?
If Lisa and I are middle class together, whatever, but I just had to laugh.
But everybody knows she does big things.
And that was one of my favorite meme moments of the year.
And the last one I want to just touch on, it's iconic.
Adriana Demora, she was in a bad place.
She was in a bad place.
She was cheating on Martina with a Haitian mortician.
I don't know what it meant.
I don't know if it was true.
But in that moment, God, it made me laugh.
That was, what a way to end the season of Miami.
And then she did that whole stunt on stage at BravoCon, which kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.
But still, just such a wild moment.
Adriana, man, there's nobody like her for better or for worse.
It does kind of feel like, let me know if you agree.
It kind of feels already like Real Housewives of Miami ended like six months ago. And that was, I think, not even one month ago. Like, time is really like helter-skelter for me right now. Like, I don't really know what's going on or when things are happening or when things have happened. But I do know that we have a lot to talk about today. Betcha of the year, go to Betches.com to vote for all the categories. The winners are going to be announced on December 8th.
next Monday. So if you're listening to this over the weekend, you still have time. So go vote, vote,
but today we have lots we're going to be talking about. I'm going to touch on Real Housewives of
Salt Lake City. We have a premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And of course, we have
another premiere of Vanderpump Rules with our brand new cast. I have some thoughts on it,
and I am going to get into it. But first, I just couldn't ignore what was happening last week
in the world of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Because you guys,
this, I mean, this season has been tricky to schedule in because it dropped the week of BravoCon. Then we have Thanksgiving. Then now it feels like the season has been over for a long time. Their reunion just came out today. I'm recording this on Thursday. So I haven't had a chance to watch that yet. So I'm like, I feel like I've been in limbo with the secret lives of Mormon wives. And I have to say, I think they had a really interesting season. And I use that word interesting on purpose because I, I do.
don't know if it was an amazing season. I don't know if it was better or worse than their past seasons.
I kind of can't decide how I feel about it from a quality standpoint. But I do find it really,
really fascinating the way that this show is continuing to take shape and the way that it is sort of
oriented within the reality TV landscape. And what I mean by that is that this is a show that now
in its third season in just over a year, and they already renewed it for two more. I think they're done
filming season four already. This is a show that has become almost entirely about the show and filming
for the show and promoting the show and the opportunities that are coming as a result of the show
and who is going to be on the show and who is asking for what in contract negotiations for the show
and whether or not the business opportunities that are on the show are still happening for those that aren't on the show, it is a show about the show.
And we have, you know, over the last, you know, five-ish years, we have come a long way in terms of how Bravo shows especially sort of deal with and sometimes break the fourth wall.
back in the day it was really, you know, almost unheard of pretty revolutionary.
Like when Denise Richards was at that table in Rome and did the Bravo, Bravo,
fucking Bravo, there's a reason that moment was so impactful because we haven't seen something
like that before. And now it's, it has become something that is part of the, part of the
playbook, part of the language of these shows that we're watching, where if something is
particularly heated. We're calling production. If somebody's storming out, we're seeing the
cameraman in the parking lot. We're getting a little bit more of those peaks behind the curtain,
the mechanics of these shows, the hot mic moments, things like that. But there has never been a
Bravo show where so much of the action and the discussion is dedicated to like who's coming,
who's going, and how that is all playing out. And on this season, especially,
seeing Whitney, who was described as not being on the show this season, they put up a whole cast
graphic of whose faces were grayed out of left the show, left the show in, you know, mental health rehab
or whatever. You know, Taylor Frankie Paul is like learning how to be single so she can go on The
Bachelorette six months later. More power to her. Can't wait to watch. But like, this is a show
where we literally have to have like a real-time scorecard of who is and isn't deciding to film right now.
And then Whitney proudly waltzes back in the episode that they are interviewing.
I'm using air quotes because I would love to know how real those interviews actually were.
But she says, hell yeah, I want to be on Dancing with the Stars.
If there's an opportunity for that, I will be participating.
And Whitney shows up.
And guess what?
Whitney was just done dancing with the stars and almost made it to the finale. And now she's going to be in Chicago on Broadway. It worked. But then also now that we've seen it, people have, you know, there's backlash and people are like, oh, she's a, you know, she's, you know, self-obsessed and, you know, too ambitious. And it's like, first of all, like, we can be ambitious. That's not, it's not an insult. And like, I feel like for too long women have gotten shit for being ambitious. And it's like, yeah, like, that's how the world works. Like, you have to be. Whatever.
but neither here nor there.
But this season just like so much of it, early in the season when Demi, who also was allegedly not going to be on the show, shows up to some party and she and Layla are talking.
And then she runs out to the car and is like, I'm going to go on live and expose all of this.
And we see the producer going up to De Me's car and like intervening in the situation.
It is just something that we have not really seen to this level a show that is becoming more and more.
meta in real time before our eyes.
And then the thing that that kind of does for me is you wonder kind of, I think it's
fascinating because it's so different in that way.
But you do kind of have to wonder, now that we know there are going to be at least five
seasons of this show, and they're really cranking them out, how much of this can you do
before the wheels kind of just fall off?
because I think obviously there are engaging personalities in this group.
It's a, you know, a cultural subset that has that sort of looky-loo fascination element to it anyway.
And then there is other drama.
You know, there's people's marriages that are going through it.
And, you know, there's, you know, swinging and hilling and, you know, lots of real things that are happening in people's lives.
but if the show is always about the show, then how much of that do we actually want to watch?
Because what I kind of feel like might be the case with this show is they know that they have something that's working right now,
but they're kind of trying to milk it for all its worth so that when the wheels fall off in a year or two,
they've gotten a lot out of it. And I think that's okay. Not every show needs to be,
you know, not every show needs to be real houseways of Orange County, and not every show can be
real housewives of Orange County. Not every show is going to be on for 10 plus years and, you know,
survive cast changes and shakeups and a pandemic and, you know, scandals and all of that.
We'll see. It's too soon to tell, but it has been fascinating. And then last week,
watching as Jesse popped on to social media and unloaded the truth bomb about
Fruity Pebbles heard around the world that Grandpa Brett drinks to me's piss like it's
dirty soda and he gulps it like water. I said what I said. I said what she said. I believe that
was verbatim. I watched it many times. That felt fucking crazy. And then what was even crazier,
you know, she said that this is what fruity Pebbles meant all along. That goes back to season one of
Mormon wives where they were talking about this, you know,
alluding to something with fruity pebbles and it was so taboo and we weren't going to
talk about it. Within hours, DeMey admitted it.
She basically said, that was one time.
Very like mean girls made out with the hot dog.
Grandpa Brett gulped her piss like water one time.
And she told her incompetence and now she said it.
And this is all, you know, it's all swirling around.
And I just, I was thinking about like the poor.
Hulu publicist who's like attached to this cast who probably spent their whole Thanksgiving
frantically responding to emails and text messages of like what the fuck is going on with this show.
But their reunion just came out today. They filmed it obviously before all of this, you know,
Frudy Pebbles bomb went down. This is a show that is so wrapped up in real time and social media
and all of that, that they can't even keep up with the storylines on a reunion that was filmed
two weeks ago, let alone a season that's already been filmed. So we're going to be watching,
you know, let's say the new season premieres in, you know, I don't know, four months or something.
We're going to be watching a season that was filmed before the stuff that we're talking about now.
And then there's going to be a reunion and then another season that was, it's like, it's really hard to get the hamster wheel to
sort of line up with what we're watching in real time, with a cast that is this online and this
reactive and this kind of amped to be yapping and talking and, you know, going on vile files
and call her daddy and, you know, kind of speaking their piece whenever and wherever they want.
Again, I am just sort of like utterly fascinated by the whole Mormon wives universe right now.
and I kind of can't wait to see how it continues to develop.
And whether or not it becomes sort of like a car crash we can't look away from
or it kind of figures out how to be a long-running show that people just kind of tune into every year like clockwork.
I don't know.
I don't know what's going to happen.
But man, that Fruty Pebbles video, just, Jesse was spitting bars.
They were not the bars I expected, but whoo!
Just craziness.
So good, so good.

It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Now, I'm not really going to recap Potomac this week because, to be honest,
I'm a little bored.
We have other more pressing things to get to.
But I did just want to, I want to just like extend a little bit of a word to our girl,
Kiyana.
It's not working.
It's not working.
And I think I would urge you to go back to the drawing board a bit and revisit your potential strategy.
Because watching, oh my God, at Chiselle and Robbins' reasonably shady 10 million download party
where Robin was not in attendance because, quote unquote, something came up,
aka she didn't want to get out of bed and go film for something that she wasn't actually on the cast for.
The way that Kiara is going after Stacey, it is flop a clock in there.
She's saying, I would never trust you around my husband.
And Stacey, with ease.
She goes, you don't have one.
You don't have one.
And then later, when they're going at it again.
and Kiana's saying, oh, your diamond is cloudy.
I wouldn't want that ring.
And again, Stacey, like with the street sweeper, just goes, it's cloudy compared to nothing.
And Kiana is like, she's acting like she has some Trump card, high horse, like, gotcha against Stacey.
And I, look, Stacey certainly has been caught in some lies.
I get why these women aren't loving Stacey.
But the way that Kiyana is going about her like attempted Stacey takedown, it's like,
this isn't landing at all.
I don't know.
I don't know.
A single person who watched that episode and was like, ooh, Kiarna got her good.
And then, yeah, it's just a, it's a strange way to move forward that it does feel like
we've had this on a few shows recently.
I mean, O.C. was kind of like this where people, you know, were more team Katie than I
think the cast thought they were going to be. We've had it on, you know, I think Beverly Hills
with Garcell last season. It was a lot. And it's just, it's, it's weird that it feels like there is
this like Stacey Vendetta that just is not landing with the audience at all. I mean, the girl did lie
about when her husband was going to be flying out. But at the end of the day, it's like,
I just, I just enjoy her. And it is what it is. And there's kind of nothing they can do about it.
But that's all I'm going to say about Potomac for this week. We will save it and we will catch up later.
But I want to talk about our two premieres because we do have two important premieres to talk about.
And I think Vanderpump Rules has to be the first thing we dig into because this is an important moment.
It is not the first time that Bravo has completely rebooted a franchise with a completely new cast.
But it's important. And when I was watching the first episode, I got to see.
about half of the episode at BravoCon a few weeks ago, and then when I sat down, I watched
the whole episode again. And I do feel like this cast has potential. Now, I know that there are
probably some of you listening who have not watched the episode yet and either aren't sure if
you're going to or have decided you don't want to watch it, you know, sort of out of principle
and just kind of disagree with the whole idea of there being a new Vanderpump Rules cast.
I get it.
I think that it is totally fair.
I mean, look, as evidenced by the fact that this week, I am not even really going to attempt to talk about Southern Charm.
There was a married-to-medic premiere I'm not going to get to.
I just barely touched on Real Housewives of Potomac.
We still have to get to Salt Lake City and Beverly Hills.
There's plenty to watch right now.
So if you are having a gut reaction of not wanting to watch Vanderpump Rules with a new cast,
I think that's fine.
But I am approaching this season from a standpoint of wanting the best possible show
and hoping that this cast and this production and everything is going to deliver
maybe the best possible version of Vanderpump Rules in December 2025.
Because I don't know if the version that we would have gotten, if they didn't do this reboot,
would have been much better or much more fun to watch.
So, you know, we start this episode and we're at Sir with a brand new crop of servers.
And the one thing I will say is that the majority of this cast is, like, confirmed
to have been working at Sir before this reboot version was announced.
So I think that's important because obviously the original Vanderpump rules,
part of what made it so special was that it was this group of restaurant workers
that they just kind of found.
Obviously, it was through Lisa Vanderpump.
But these were like people that were in each other's lives in very messy ways
that the camera just kind of locked eyes with and it worked.
And so I think it's really important.
And I talked about this with Marcus and Natalie, which you'll hear next week, is like,
Sir has been a restaurant this whole time.
And Vanderpump Rules stopped being about the people who actually worked at Sir probably like five or six years ago.
And so that whole time, there's been an entirely new set of people working there that has grown and developed and, you know, entangled and become a family and become, you know, enemies and.
frenemies and, you know, lovers and haters and everything in between. And so I am, you know,
encouraged to see that, I mean, there are some people on this cast that are giving, like,
found them in a casting call, thought they would be good on TV. Those two, like, cousin boys who,
like, Chris and Jason, I think they're cousins, but, like, also it kind of seems like they've, like
explored each other's bodies at some point in the past. Allegedly, I don't know, I don't know. They're
not on like heated rivalry or whatever, but like, you know, they're very into like, yeah,
like, look at my cousin. Isn't he like sexy? And it's like, okay. Like I, first of all,
like, I don't know. I don't know. The Vanderpump Rules brand of like hot guys is very like
2012 coded. Like this is when Abercrombie would have had like a giant black and white photo
of a shirtless man framed in the front of the store to the point where, like, you would walk past
in the mall and just be like, that's not for me. So there's a few kind of, like, random hotties
or, like, alleged hotties that they've added to this cast. But in general, we're sort of focusing
on a central crew of people who really do work at Sir and really have worked there for at least
a couple years, which to me is like enough time that I'm not skeptical of the fact that they
are like actual people who work at Sir. But anyway, so we have Natalie, who we meet in the premiere,
as she has just come back from being suspended for fighting with her ex-Paolo, who works at
sir and is in his 50s, not judging, girl, do what you got to do. Palo's not on the show, but he
works at Sir, and that's Natalie's
ex who she was fighting with at Sir,
but then Paolo's other ex,
which Natalie might argue with,
but that's another story for another time.
Natalie's other ex is Demi,
who is an assistant manager at Sir,
who is allegedly friends with Natalie,
but also it really seems like she has an issue
with the fact that Natalie used to date Paulo.
And then there's another,
there's another server, Marcus,
who's dating Kim,
who also works at Sir, and they're all close friends with this, you know, gay guy with long hair, Venus, who also works at Sir. And then there's a brand new bartender, Chris, who again is one of those, like, alleged haughty cousins, who tells us that he looks like Robert De Niro, which, like, I don't not see, but also it's like enough. Like, chill. We don't need to do the, like, Robert De Niro impression in your first 10 seconds on camera. But so he has just started at Sir, and so.
The whole first, like, 15 minutes is this sur shift that is just like so chaotic.
And this is what makes me feel like this show has potential is the ability to give us a third of an episode that is just a night at sir and then drinks afterward where it's just like everybody nitpicking at each other.
Marcus is showing Chris how to take shots of sangria without getting caught in the back room.
without getting caught until he does because Natalie is checking the security footage.
But then...
But so, you know, Natalie's back after her suspension, and, you know, she and Demi have issues
that they need to talk through, but then Kim has an issue with Natalie getting too close to
Marcus and texting him pictures of high heels.
It's the kind of thing we're recapping it feels a little bit dumb because it's like
the stuff they're arguing about is dumb.
but that's kind of what I want.
I don't want a show that feels so bogged down in seasons of people's egos and, you know,
not everything has to be so heavy and serious.
And I think that with this show, what I'm hoping for is that for however many episodes
this season is going to be, we can just kind of like enjoy the mess and honestly, like,
not have to think that hard about it. And so I think like, I've seen a lot of discourse. You know,
it's been like two days since this show premiere, not even 48 hours as I'm recording this.
And there is, I mean, all across the spectrum. There are people declaring that this is,
you know, an amazing, you know, it worked and it's, Vanderpump is back and rejoice. And then there
are also people being like, this is the worst thing I've ever watched. I hate it. I just like,
I can't. And I think that,
I mean, I would say, like, the reactions at the extreme on both ends are a little bit silly because it's one episode of a show.
We have seen 43 minutes of this cast.
And so I, again, like I said, it's like I get if you just don't feel like watching it and that I think is totally valid.
But if you watched that and we're like, that's the worst thing I've ever seen in my life,
first of all, either I don't believe you or you need to watch more trash.
Because, you know, it's just not, it's fine.
It's fine.
And I hope that it ends up being better than fine.
But yeah, I don't know.
I think people are conditioned to have strong responses, especially to shows that they have,
you know, prior connections with.
And I think my friend Gibbs and John's made a point that I think, I agree with where
he said that he wished they would have, that they would have like refreshed the show a little bit more
and made it like the first season of something slightly different. Like they were kind of promoting
this as like Vanderpump Rules like the new shift or like shift change or whatever. And that it
almost feels like they should have just made it like a technically different show so that they could
say, hey, this is Vanderpump Rules a new era or, you know, whatever. And made it season one. And
tried to remove it a little bit from that legacy. But then at the same time, it's like,
even if they did that, everybody would still think of this as the new version of Vannopump
rules, because it still kind of would be. And then you would still have the same level of
comparison and skepticism and kind of negativity around the idea of Vannerpump Rules being
rebooted. So, I don't know. It's just kind of a wait and see.
I will say it was interesting to see Lisa Vanderpump have to be kind of actively involved again.
Because when you think about it, obviously she hasn't been on Beverly Hills in several years.
But even when she's been on Vanderpump Rules in the last few years, it was as this kind of like weird mentor, mother figure,
advice giver, stern lady that they like kind of maybe worked for. But it felt a little bit like,
why is she even still on this show? And watching The Valley, you feel that even more where it's like,
oh yeah, like, it feels correct that Lisa isn't kind of like looming over these people anymore because
they're like in their 40s and not working for her at the restaurant. But suddenly it's like
watching Lisa have that sit down with Natalie on her first night back from her suspension.
watching Lisa with Natalie the business partner where they're talking about catching the guys drinking back, you know, in the back of house.
And Natalie's getting emotional.
And they're talking about how difficult it's been to have the restaurant and the hospitality business over the last few years.
And then you have Lisa running a sir staff meeting.
I mean, like, how long has it been since we have seen Lisa have to like put the hammer down in a sir staff meeting?
It is, it's interesting for her to kind of put herself in a position where she has to really put her neck out there for this franchise again because she hasn't really had to do that on any show in a while.
And so I kind of liked seeing that side of Lisa again because I do think that's part of what made Vanderpump rules also work in the first place.
Obviously there were lots of factors that came together for that.
but Lisa being involved in it is a part of that.
And I think that's another thing that maybe we don't talk about that much in those later seasons of Vanderpump rules,
but that that was something that had sort of been missing from the show or had the dynamic had changed enough that it didn't really make sense anymore.
And I'm kind of excited to have that back.
And I'm curious to see throughout the season how much of the conflict and sort of just like how much of the screen time.
of the show is taking place at Sir with these like everyday conflicts and everyday issues about
shifts being covered and people being suspended and people missing from action. Are we going
to get a pride episode? Like there those are the things that I think they should really lean into
so that they don't have to focus too much on how much do these people have going on in their lives.
I mean, is it fun to see Natalie thinking that she's Ariana Grande and going to the studio? Like,
I got a kick out of that.
Is it fun to see like our, you know,
alleged hotties at the beach?
Maybe.
I don't need to see that every episode.
But I really, really hope they keep leaning into this show being a show about people who work at Sir and showing them doing that.
Because I think that that is the most likely successful path for this show, at least until this cast is established enough for us to want to see the rest of their lives.

Let's talk about Real Houseways of Beverly Hills.
Let's talk about where Lisa got her start.
Oh, man.
Lisa Vanderpom.
This feels like a completely different.
friend show than Lisa was on. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But we start this
season and we've got some, we've got a trio of maybe even a quartet of divorce updates. Actually,
maybe there's like five different divorce updates that we're getting over the course of this
episode. There's, there do be a lot of divorces happening in the Beverly Hills cast because
first of all, first of all, we pick up with Doreet and Bose and they're talking about P.K.
man, it feels like Doreit and P.K.
And Kyle and Mauricio have been collectively getting divorced for like five years at this point.
And I know that they're like the main characters of this show.
So I really shouldn't be complaining about getting updates on their life because that's kind of the reason we're here today.
But I don't know.
Hearing them talk about Maricio being a ho, who cares?
Grow up.
I mean, like, yes, technically Maricio is the one that needs to grow up because he is acting like a, you know, 22-year-old horn dog around the globe. But also like Kyle, grow up at a certain point, like, it's over. We've moved on. You've been, you know, hanging out with Morgan Wade and your friend Carl. And who knows what's happening with that. But it just feels like, I don't know, the scene with the daughters.
I was tempted to say the daughters, but that's not really a Kyle Richards thing.
But like, I don't know.
The Kyle and Maricio stuff, I'm like, we did that.
That's sorted.
But Dorit and Peké is a little bit fresher.
You know, last season they were still kind of working through what their separation was looking like.
And since then, Derreet has filed for divorce the same day that there were photos of P.K.,
make it out with another woman.
And that was the final straw for Doret.
And she said, uh-uh.
not going to happen. So she filed for divorce. She, you know, requested, you know, full custody.
PK is now fighting for shared custody, even though he, like, travels a lot? Question mark for work.
Question mark. What is work? What is PK doing? I have never, I mean, I've never really understood that other than some, um, alleged, you know, business venture with boy George, whatever that is. And then I guess he's in like,
real estate or business.
Business, I guess.
No, but Doreet is like, yeah, he's not home a lot.
But then when he is home, he'll have like a Saturday night with the kids.
And like, okay, is this happening like twice a month or like twice a year?
Like, what's the, I don't know.
I just like the whole thing with PK, it's like he has always seemed like such a scammer.
and now that they're not together, it's like, okay, so he's just like never there.
But that, so it's gotten uglier with Doreet and Piquet, which is unfortunate, you know,
they still have young kids who, Doreet tells us they, like, still haven't had the conversation
with the kids about them getting divorced.
And she's like, well, you know, like, Jagger knows, but Phoenix I'm struggling with.
And they're like, okay, so Jagger knows.
So like, you've sat down and told him.
And she's like, well, no.
but he's like, you know, he, he, and it's like, Doreet, my love, like, it's time.
It's time. I mean, you, I just like as, and this is something Erica kind of is saying in the episode.
She's like, your kids want parents who love them, not who hate each other.
And like, you know, my parents are divorced. They got divorced when I was in college.
You know, you kind of know.
You know, things aren't like hunky dory to borrow a phrase from real hostages to Beverly Hills.
Again, I don't like to give people parenting advice because I'm not a parent and I don't care to be anytime soon.
But like, what, Jackers 11?
You got to have that conversation.
After two years, at least one year, you got to have the conversation.
It's not going to be fun.
It's going to be hard.
You just got to rip the bandaid at a certain point.
But you know who else is going through a divorce?
our new housewife, Rachel's out.
Rachel floats in on a cloud of, you know, silk and big necklaces and beachy waves.
And she and Kathy, Kathy Hilton, still in the mix.
They're catching up and apparently they go way back because Rachel knew Paris and then she met Kathy when she was like shopping or something.
Just like, I love on Beverly Hills.
It's always like, oh yeah, like we met 20 years ago and then we run in the same circle and I was on Bose's podcast.
once or Bose was on my podcast once and then we've been super close and it is always funny when someone
knew joins these shows to try and figure out like how real the stories that we hear are about like how
much they know people because I'm like I don't I don't know like if I believe that Bose and
Rachel have gotten super close since Bose went on Rachel's podcast a year ago but like I guess it
works. I guess the story works. But Rachel, this is the first time we're seeing her in a long time
on Bravo. And notably, the first time we're seeing her on Bravo since she and Roger split up.
And it is really, really interesting to hear her talk about this. And she kind of like, I think you can
tell that she is maybe a little hesitant of how open she wants to be about specifics with the
situation. She still has young kids as well. And like, we do get kind of an inkling that she,
she says something like, the person, you know, Roger and I became very different. And like,
the person that he was, wasn't necessarily somebody that I wanted to be with or to be around the
kids. And so she also has a custody situation that she's working through. It sounds like
there's kind of like good days and bad days in their, you know, communication and co-parenting
relationship and everything, which I think is, you know, pretty normal in a situation like that.
But you can tell for her that she's like, I don't think she's being dishonest about anything,
but that she is kind of a little bit unsure of like, how much am I saying about this?
I'm coming onto this new platform. I'm introducing myself or reintroducing myself to a big audience.
and I think especially when you have kids and when you're probably still going through legal proceedings and things like that, you do have to be a little bit careful and strategic about how you're talking about things, how much you're saying, you know, what kind of light you're portraying somebody in, because it could have big negative effects if you sort of overshoot the mark and they can be like, hey, she's defaming me on TV or whatever. We've had that happen to people and it sounds like a nightmare. And so I am really,
excited to see Rachel this season. I think that she has a good introduction on this premiere,
but isn't really getting in the mix at all yet. I mean, there isn't really much of a mix to get
into, except for that, you know, sort of everybody hates Sutton still, to varying degrees. I mean,
Dorit and Sutton are, like, not on good terms or haven't spoken since last season. Everybody
else seems to just kind of have this relationship with Sutton where they, like, tolerate her,
but then also, you know, talk bad about her behind her back and also kind of think she's ridiculous and laugh at her.
It's kind of weird because, like, I don't feel bad for Sutton necessarily because I think she deserves a lot of the shit she gets and then also just like doesn't make her own life easier.
But it is like, oh, she just is in a weird position where it's like, do any of these women like genuinely like her?
even on a good day, even on a day where they're like, oh yeah, like Sutton and I are getting along.
Would anybody miss her if she wasn't there?
I don't know. And Sutton is somebody who, two or three years ago, I was really Team Sutton on this show.
I didn't like the way people treated her. I thought that she was fun and funny and I liked the way that she was, you know, a dog with a bone with the Erica and Tom stuff, you know, once upon a time.
I got to say the shine has kind of come off of Sutton for me.
But the situation with Garcel is kind of bizarre.
Because Sutton and Garcel were really close for the last few years on this show.
And Sutton tells us that the last time she heard from Garcel or saw Garcel was when she walked off the reunion stage without taking the group photo.
And since then, she has not responded to any of her texts or calls.
There has been no communication.
Erica tells us that she and Garcel unfollowed each other.
There's been a lot of back and forth.
Obviously, we've heard about this in the press, and Garcel has made comments about it,
about, you know, she knew that the show wasn't, you know, for her anymore and all of this.
But it is, like, specifically with Sutton.
It's a strange thing to parse because it's like, man, like, they really had a close spun.
And watching Sutton talk about it on this episode, I think, is the one time when I sort of do feel for Sutton.
Because she's saying, she's saying Garcel was her best friend.
And I don't think that maybe for Garcel, you know, but Sutton is not somebody who I think was doing that just for TV.
And what really hurts is that people are asking Sutton if she thinks that for Garcel, their friendship was just an alliance or was just
for the show. And Sutton, you can tell the idea of that is really, really upsetting to Sutton.
Because she's saying, I don't think that that could be the case. And she's also saying, like,
I don't like people implying that Garcel could be capable of something like that, which really
just shows that, like, Sutton still has these feelings for,
Garcel in a way that right now are being completely ignored and neglected. And I think, you know,
if Garcell decided that the show is not for her and needs to take a break, I don't think that
Garcell necessarily like owes these women anything, but specifically with Sutton, it sucks that
you can tell that she really feels like she's not getting any kind of closure there. And so I do
feel like if, you know, if Garcell's listening to this, L.O.L. Like, just, like, just send her a text and be like,
hey, I need space. I don't know. It's just, it's, it's, it's tough to see. And I'm like, I don't want
to feel bad for Sutton. But in that one little moment, I kind of do. And she let Avi go.
Now that, I feel like there's more to the story. But anyway, I mean, the other, the other divorce
updates that I alluded to are that Sutton's ex-Christians.
had their marriage annulled in the Catholic Church without telling her, and he gave her the reason
that he thought they would be able to be better friends because of it, I would argue that
if that's why you're doing it, that you should maybe talk about it first, versus letting
her find out in the mail, or in email from the Catholic Church addressed to her maiden name.
I would say Dick move. The jury says Dick move on that one. And then the other update is that
Erica watched Tom Girardi go to prison.
So that's a weird one.
It just is, you know,
we're never really getting like closure per se in the Erica and Tom stuff.
But it is kind of over.
And, you know, even for Erica, she said, like,
seeing how Tom looked when he was walking out of the courtroom,
just like so frail and vacant.
And that she kind of wants to say goodbye,
but then like, what does that do for anyone?
He's, you know,
an old man with dementia
sitting in prison
tough stuff.
A lot, a lot going on with this cast.
I don't know, it's hard for me to really get a read
on how I feel about Beverly Hills right now.
Because watching the premiere,
I mean, I was taking my notes and, you know,
talking about it now.
I'm like, there's plenty going on.
But I'm kind of TBD on whether I'm like excited for this season.
I'm hopeful.
I'm optimistic, but I do feel like almost maybe these women have more going on in their personal lives than they do as a group, which I think there are certain shows where you're like, nobody has a personal storyline. That's a bad thing. But with this show, I'm almost like, I would rather that these women's relationships with each other felt more important to them. But I kind of feel like right now it's just like, okay, I guess we'll go sit in Kyle's backyard and make flower crowns.
and that is what it is.
I don't know. We'll see. There's a lot of season left to go, obviously.
Salt Lake, man, I could talk for another hour about Salt Lake, but I won't, but man.
Bronwyn's Boston Spill the Tea Party. What a shit show.
Bronwyn, I'm sorry. That did not go well.
I do feel like we need to start moving past the flight thing because I just think we're not getting real answers.
and Meredith bringing everyone a little baggy of caviar along with a urine drug test.
It's a good little stunt, but also like, what are we doing?
What are we doing?
I did get a kick out of Mary showing up late and putting on her George Washington wig
and then asking if they had hot dogs in BC, implying that 1773 was BC.
to sit with that for a second.
Very funny.
The other thing that made me laugh
when everybody was bringing up the tea
that they wanted to spill into the harbor of our televisions
was Angie bringing up Lisa saying that she bought a horse
that was in the Kentucky Derby
and that it's like there's no evidence of this anywhere
and like also what are you talking about?
And like, again, I'm like,
I laughed at it because it's like ridiculous
but also I'm like, Lisa, if you own the horse, just, like, show us the horse.
Produce the horse, Lisa.
Sutton owns a horse Santos, and I know the horse's name, and I've seen it on my TV a little bit too much, even.
Show us the horse!
She says she might buy a second one.
And this is the kind of thing, to bring it all back to that Reddit thread about Lisa accepting that she's middle class.
I don't know if she is, allegedly.
if you own the horse, show us the horse.
If you are the business queen, what's the business?
If you're working with Ben Affleck, where's Ben Affleck?
It's all talk. It's no walk.
So I would just say, you know, they're filming their reunion as I'm recording this right now.
Maybe she'll bring out the horse at the reunion.
Bring horsey out. Bring horsey out.
I would like to see it.
I think Andy would be very annoyed, but I would like to see it.
Our next segment is All the Rage, brought to you by Angry Orchard Hard Sider.
Life is too short to keep things bottled up, especially when there are way juicier things to obsess over.
We're unpacking the Bravo drama that has us spiraling this week in the best way possible.
So crack open a crisp, refreshing angry orchard, and let's get into it.
Now, you know who is going to be home very soon, and maybe she'll be crack open a crisp, refreshing angry orchard.
Jen Shaw. Now, when you're listening to this, Jen Shaw is going to be out of prison in five days,
or less, if you're like a little late to the episode. She got her prison release date,
moved up to December 10th. She was originally supposed to serve six and a half years,
and she didn't start serving her prison sentence until February, 20, 23. So when she first went to
prison, we thought that we might not see Jen Shaw as a free woman until 2029.
It is December, 2025, and she is packing up her bags as we speak.
Now, what does this mean?
You know, she's served 33 months when this decision was announced a couple weeks ago,
Jen Shaw's manager.
I think it's interesting that this is coming from a manager and not like a lawyer.
I don't know how that maybe she's just kind of paying like a, you know,
one stop shop kind of person at this point.
He said, everyone's very grateful for the Bureau of Prison's decision,
especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays.
It's a gift she doesn't take for granted.
She's in a really positive, hopeful place mentally.
She's done a lot of reflecting in real growth during her time away,
and is generally not the same woman as she was before her focuses on family
and building on how we are more grounded life.
She understands the serious of the mistakes she made
and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman.
She's worked hard to become yada, yada, yada.
You know the deal.
So we don't know exactly why she's getting released early.
A rep for the Bureau of Prisons told people,
for privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss any incarcerated individuals' conditions
of confinement or specific release plans. So they're like, we're not going to tell you where or when,
but trust and believe, I'm sure there will be paparazzi waiting outside the gates just like they were for Karen a few months ago.
Now, I am wondering, like, Elizabeth Holmes is going to be sad to see her go. Isn't she?
Because I feel like they were a little dynamic duo. And I think that Jen was doing some sort of like prison, like, drama,
program or like a theater camp or something. And like, what happens if you're in the middle of
like rehearsing for your like, are they doing like a Christmas pageant or something? Is Jen going to
have to be recast? Like what was she supposed to play like camel number two and now they're
going to have to like recruit somebody else to play camel number two in the, you know,
prison Christmas pageant? I don't know how that works. Would she like go back for the performance?
You know she wouldn't go back for the performance.
Now, I just, it is fascinating to me. And I, I don't know all the ins and outs of, you know, why the
sentence got shortened so much or what, maybe there's overcrowding. Maybe she's been an extra good
girl. I don't know. But it is kind of fascinating to think like, what does this mean for the future
of Jen Shaw, the public figure? Because, you know, when you're in federal prison, there's only
so much you can do. You know, we've gotten a few little, a little photo.
a little, you know, statement from a rep, an exclusive, you know, report about what she's doing
behind there. But now that she's going to be out in the wild, is she going to be back on social
media? Is she going to be, you know, I talked about this a little bit before Thanksgiving.
I don't think we're going to see her on Bravo anytime soon. I mean, to be honest,
regardless of how you feel about Jen, Salt Lake City does not need her right now. They're the,
they're the number one girls in the group.
They don't need, I think there's no reason for them to muddy the waters with a Jen Shaw return
unless things start to go south on Salt Lake in a season or two and it's like, okay, we got to
think of something quick.
But that's not, that's not where they're at right now.
So I feel like it's more likely that the first place will see her doing something more than
like an Instagram live is like, I don't know, TLC.
the Zeus network, is that still a thing?
Like, I think that there is somebody that would cut her a check to be in front of a camera.
I don't think it's Bravo right now.
I could also see her trying to do, like, a YouTube channel or a podcast or something.
Maybe she'll be kind of, like, spinning.
Maybe she'll be, like, building a brand off of her, like, rehabilitated life.
Like, I could see her doing something where it's like, oh,
I'm going to be talking to other people who have been incarcerated or who have, you know,
had to take accountability for their actions.
I could see her almost like re-jiggering her grift into being a grift about grifting.
Or maybe it won't be a grift at all.
Maybe it'll be great.
Maybe she'll be, maybe she is a completely changed woman.
I don't know.
But I mean, I'm glad she'll, I'm glad she'll get to spend the holidays with the family.
and in 2026, we're going to see Jen Shaw somewhere.
And can I just say, if you're listening to this and you live in Utah or wherever she ends up going,
if you see Jen Shaw out in the wild, you're coming on the podcast.
There's a spot for you on the couch.
Slide into my DMs if you or like Demwa, whatever.
But that is all the rage.
Thanks again to Angry Orchard.

There's a lot of desserts and sweet things.
But you know what I think is underrated is a crisp, refreshing angry orchard.
Just that little bit of like apple fall flavor, crisp, sweet, but not too sweet.
Like just the right amount.
