Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All.
A Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With Dylan Hafer.
Who don't check me, boo?
And Barry Rosenfeld.
I need to start drinking alcohol.
Now go to sleep week.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention It All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer.
And I'm Barry Rosenfeld.
The time has come.
The time is.
You know how excited I am.
Real House of Miami is, Beth.
I know how excited you are.
Yeah, we have, Miami is officially back.
We're back, baby, in the MIA.
I'm upset because I was supposed to actually go to Miami tomorrow and I just didn't book it.
So, like, I'm not.
So you were like, you were supposed to go, like, you just kind of were, like, thinking about it and that, or is there, like, a group trip that you're not going on?
Yeah, like, but there's, like, I roll that way.
Like, if I decide, I've booked trips, like, a day before, like, I'll just decide to go.
And I'm just not because of like COVID and like yeah I've worked out in a while so like
Yeah, the COVID is starting to be concerning again, but um, well, best of but at least we have shows to watch.
I know at least at least if we go back into lockdown, we're going to have a some fun stuff to keep up with.
Of course, Miami is back.
We're going to talk about the premiere episode.
But first we're going to talk about real housewives of Orange County, which I got to say, I was not sure how this episode would be because I felt like the drama at Heather's sushi party was such a big moment.
And I was like, okay, so now that that's over, maybe we're going to have a few weeks where there's not a lot going on.
We'll see.
I never want to, you know, count my housewives chickens before they hatch.
But this week, we dived headfirst into this Noella situation, which there had been some, you know, there's been some headlines about and, you know, people on Reddit and all of that have been doing their deep dives.
And it was always kind of like, okay, so how are we going to, what's going to be covered on the show?
Are they, you know, is Noella going to talk about it?
And boy, we got right into it.
I did not know that was happening this week.
You mentioned it in real time a few weeks ago on the show.
You were like, she's going through a nasty divorce.
And at that time, I didn't even know.
That's how soon it happened.
And then like for that to be on the show this week, it was like, whoa, we are in for a ride.
I feel like there's more to this story than we are being told because they agree.
They went right into that.
And it's like, hold on.
We don't even know.
We haven't even met him on the show.
Yeah, and I have a feeling that he is not going to appear on the show based on the fact that we haven't met him.
And he's not like there.
Like she doesn't know where he is.
In Puerto Rico or something.
But yeah, it almost, it feels like we are missing a little bit of backstory because even just with the women in the group, obviously some of them, I guess, knew Noella before she was on the show.
Yeah.
But, I mean, she really is new to the group.
and all of a sudden this week, you know, she's hanging out with Gina, she's hanging out with Shannon,
and they're kind of asking about this situation, like it's something that is, you know, common knowledge already out there.
Like, oh, so how's this stuff going with the taxes?
And it's like, wait, what stuff with the tax?
Like, oh, like, it felt like one from zero to 100 real quick.
It seems to me just in my.
opinion that her husband is living some sort of double life. And she also doesn't know about that
part because it's just too sketchy. And like even he told her about one of the liens and all of a sudden
it was like another one and like six million dollars. And like she knows nothing about their finances,
which if we know anything in housewives, like that's the biggest issue in. Right. And she's talking about
this tax lien situation where she's like, well, just pay it. It's six.
million dollars just pay it we can sell the house to pay it and that would you know i would venture to
guess without any deep knowledge of this that james doesn't just have six million dollars lying around
or that even if he did sell the house that it's somehow tied up and something else like most people
i feel that end up in a situation like this they don't necessarily have the money like
lying around to just pay it. It's like they might be rich in the sense that they have nice things
and all of this, but most people that are like scammers don't just have a huge bank account
sitting there because then they wouldn't feel the need to be hustling so much to scam.
It's like kind of like a, it's the kind of thing where when you're doing that, you have to keep it up
to keep, you know, your lifestyle and your money. It's, you don't just have endless income that you can
just pull from. Yeah. I mean, I feel.
bad because then right after that they she she said herself she's like I don't like this isn't
affecting our marriage like she was kind of being really like chill about it and she's like what divorce
isn't even a question like what are you talking about and then she got served divorce papers
which is like a rude awakening to her and all the women but when you see all the women's reactions
when you when she told them it almost looked like they were they felt really bad for her but
they weren't surprised that that happened.
Yeah.
I mean, I think it might be one of those things.
And again, we don't know Noella very well.
But sometimes you're sort of the last one to know.
And it's not that different from what Gino was saying about when Matt was cheating on her and she was the last one to know.
You know, I could see how that situation could be similar to where everyone else can kind of be like, okay.
like I hear like that's great that you're saying your marriage is perfect and you're loaded and all
of this but like we'll see you know yeah I I feel like it's going to be a really brutal
roller coaster this season for her but I'm sorry is Gina now the star of real housewives of Orange
County like she has moved up this ladder and is now at the top yeah she kind of is and
you know, it's such a sort of bizarre dynamic that Shannon, who has been on the show the longest,
and you would sort of, by default, expect her to be like the Queen Bee, really is not on good terms
with anyone except Noella, who's brand new, and I guess Nicole, who is also brand new, and who
didn't even end up being a housewife.
It's like Shannon really has no one in the cast, whereas Gina is kind of this central figure where she's obviously best he's with Emily.
You know, she's having this drama with Shannon, but Shannon seems to kind of want to get her friendship back.
She's getting along really well with Heather.
You know, it is, you know, it's a, it feels unexpected.
But yeah, it's like Gina seems to be in a pretty good position right now where it's like Heather doesn't even leave her house this episode.
So I don't know what's going on.
It's funny because Gina, I feel like forgives easily.
Like she is now, she's like, is okay to move forward with Shannon for the time being.
But also Nicole also forgave Shannon as well.
So it's like, okay, wait, where Shannon's standing right now?
Are all the women like really like slowly reeling her back in?
Like is she, because I guess they were like, guys, she has to be on the show.
She can't not be friends with anyone.
I think Gina is okay to move forward with Shannon in the same.
sense that she doesn't want to have like an ongoing feud with her.
But I don't think she really trusts her or wants to be close with her in a way that they
maybe were before because she basically is like, we had this great time in New York and
I thought we were getting to a better place.
And then the second, you know, she doesn't say this because they have a fourth wall, but
the second the show starts back up again, Shannon's kind of up to her old tricks.
And Gina is like, she doesn't need that.
She doesn't need, you know, she can be cordial with Shannon.
They don't need to be fighting every time they see each other.
But it's not what, it's not the energy that Gina really needs from a close friend.
And I loved her calling out Shannon for saying, you know, I've gone out of my way to be kind to you.
And Gina's like, oh, am I supposed to be like on my knees thanking you for being kind to me?
like that's just how you should treat people.
Right.
And I think Shannon has kind of miscalculated maybe how she can treat Gina because Gina's like,
I'm not, you know, sitting here begging for you to be nice to me.
I just assume that you're going to be kind because that's like how a normal person should act,
whereas Shannon feels like she's done Gina some good deed.
And it's like, Gina doesn't, she's not here for that.
Yeah, all this women also seem to be on the same page where they all say, like, Shannon never thinks she's wrong.
She never, like, you know, never takes the blame, but she does always seem to get her hands dirty and then, like, leave.
And so I feel like that's just an occurring pattern we're going to see even more.
Yeah.
Storm is not over.
The storm is not over.
And I'm curious to see how this Noella stuff unfolds and how much more information.
we get on the season because there were rumors when this news was breaking, which was like over the
summer, that she didn't even want to stay on the show because this whole thing was happening
and she had, it was totally out of the blue for her. And she was, I don't know if she was
embarrassed or, you know, just like didn't want her information out there. But clearly, I mean,
we're only on episode three. She clearly is, you know, they gave her an orange. She's a full-time
housewife. So, uh, we've got a lot of season left to go. I like, and I'm glad because I like her
so far, but I, I like how she was honest about the fact where she was like, I don't have like any
like I don't have access to anything. Like my husband is the one who's in charge of all that. So
truly that is such a scary thought that it's like, you know, it's not that wild that you don't have a
whole, you know, million dollar bank account of savings and all of this stuff.
But it sounds like she's in a position where she doesn't have anything of her own, really.
And I mean, I guess every married couple has their own system and what works for them.
But it really seems sort of like she's been scammed or like that her, yeah, like that her husband really.
It would be one thing if he wanted a divorce, and it was like, okay, I don't, you know, I'm going to take most of the stuff that I've earned, but like, you know, you can still have, you know, this bank account or whatever, but it sounds like he really has fucked her over in a pretty major way.
Girl, winter is so last season.
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes.
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs.
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders.
that perfect hang on the patio sundress,
those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture
when you tear up on that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
All new drinks are now at McDonald's
with refreshers like the strawberry watermelon refresher
and the mango pineapple refresher with popping boba.
crafted sodas like the Sprite berry blast with berry flavors and cold foam.
Who knew ice cold drinks could be so fire?
Try them all now at McDonald's.

Should we go to the 305?
Let's go to the 305.
I feel like this week especially, we have a lot to talk about because we're meeting a lot
of new people.
We're meeting some life updates.
We're meeting some old people that look new.
Oh, no.
A lot of ladies.
So right off the bat, I love that they kick things off with this, you know, drinks situation with our returning crew.
It really felt like, you know, it felt just exactly like we, like no time passed at all except clearly a lot of time did pass.
So we have Alexia, Adriana, Marisol, Lisa and Larsa, meeting for some drinks.
And it's funny because, you know, we've talked about the fact that Larsa was not on the show except for season one.
She didn't live in Miami a lot of the time since then.
And it's like Larsa's being treated like she's a member of the old group.
but clearly I don't think she has,
she hasn't stayed in touch with these women the same way that the rest of them have.
Right.
I feel like they are on very different pages of life.
Like,
completely.
But I do have to say,
she did say something that I kind of like agreed with.
Obviously,
we'll talk about,
like they were judging her very much so.
But she was even like,
all of these women are on their second,
third,
maybe fourths marriages.
Why are they judging me?
I can give them a few.
I can agree.
I have some, a few lessons as well, but.
I will say I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of Larsa.
I'm a little bit hesitant about them bringing her back in the first place because I think
they brought her back maybe more because of her, you know, her platform now versus
like her being a good housewife.
But I do think the women are being a little bit unfair when they're talking about her.
And specifically the only fans thing comes up multiple times this episode.
And I think it's funny to talk about the only fans.
And I do think Larsa's being a little bit, you know, beating around the bush and saying
that it's the same as Instagram.
And, you know, in the preview for episode two, she's like, I treat it like a dating app.
And it's like, I, like, that's funny.
But I think it crosses into sort of like slut-shamy, you know,
being negative about sex work and like that kind of thing where it's like okay so you can ask her
questions about it we can you know if she there are certain things she's saying that's a little bit
like i roll worthy but i do think it's a little bit like it's just a it's a way to make money
that she's not doing anything wrong and it's a little frustrating to me how how much these women
are sort of like piling on but at the same time i do think she looks like a kim car
Rattashian wannabe.
And, you know, like, I think we can, we can talk about sort of the, the questionable
things about Larsa.
And I mean, hearing Adriana talk shit about her is just chef's kiss.
Yeah, they are, they are not friends, like, at all.
Like, it's, it's very funny.
But Adriana looks amazing, too.
She's divorced from Frederick, Alexia, was separated from Herman.
And then he passed, unfortunately.
Marisol's married to Steve.
Like everyone, this time that passed is like really was significant where like so much has changed.
They honestly all look so fucking amazing.
Lisa has her babies now.
I know.
I love Lisa so much.
That was that was crazy hearing her talk about how they, she and Lenny went through a period where they were maybe not going to make it before they had kids.
And she said that he had an emotional affair with a two bit whore.
That was interesting to me because I'm like, okay, so if you said you were separated and then it was an emotional affair, so it's like he didn't really cheat, but like, I think there, you know, maybe there was a moment where he didn't think he was going to come back to her and then he changed his mind.
Right.
You never know.
Some people actually say that emotional affairs are worse than like physical, sexual.
Yeah.
Right.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
If they were separated, though, I feel like it's a little different.
But I don't know.
Clearly, they worked things out.
Their kids are adorable.
They finally are in their Star Island paradise.
Oh, my God.
Well, first of all, their first house was one of my favorite houses, like, on all of housewives.
So I'm upset, but this one's fine, too.
Both houses built by boobs, you know.
He's the boob god.
It's so funny because, like, all the women, like, walk around.
They're like, oh, Lenny, like, you're.
boobs are done by Lenny, but I feel like up here, like up on like the north, like it doesn't
work that way. They're in the south. So like up like where we lit, I feel like there are so many
plastic surgeons. Like I just don't think that way. We're like, you don't walk around Manhattan.
And you're like, oh, did you get your boobs done by so and so? Like there are so many doctors.
But I feel like maybe he's the best down there. I don't necessarily run in circles where the
assumption is that most people have had breast implants. Well, they do. Clearly they're not
shy about, you know, Adriana's like popping out a titty at the pool party.
It's hard because Adriana is Teresa's daughter, but this is Adriana, but they say
Adriana.
Like, it's so whatever.
I don't want to say it wrong, but I don't know, like, how to, which one to like, say,
like how to say it.
It's fine.
I love.
No disrespect.
Alexia and Frankie together.
I know.
Frankie, you know, has been through so much.
And he seems he seems like he's doing really well.
And they have this beauty bar that he's involved with RAP venue magazine.
Wait, I'm dead.
Like, all the girls walking through.
And he's like, this is my new girlfriend.
Like he's like, blurts with all, like, this staff there.
He's adorable.
But it's really sad that we don't get to see Peter, her older son, because.
Yeah, so Peter and Todd, her new man are not on good terms.
I think we're going to get more.
Totally.
info on that soon. And Peter is like in the season. Like he's going to be around. Alexia is a boss.
Alexia is a boss also. I mean, Alexia to me is just like so stunning. Like I just. She's like,
that's what I'm saying. Like they're all just like, ah, they're gorgeous. Should we talk about the new ladies?
Let's talk about the new ladies. All of them. So we have, so we have three new housewives. We have
Dr. Nicole, who's an anesthesiologist. Shout out to Tiffany Moon.
We have, and she's also Cuban American.
Like Alexia.
Like Alexia.
Yeah, like Mary Saul.
And then we have Gertie, who is an event planner, and she is married to Russell.
He's so fucking hot.
I know.
Holy shit.
Very cute at their high school sweethearts.
Yes.
And she is planning Alexia's wedding.
So it kind of works out.
She's like friends and professionally involved.
And then we have Julia, who is Russian and she's a model, and she is married to tennis legend,
Martina Navratilova.
And I loved that we got to see her right away in the episode.
I'm a big tennis fan.
So that was, like, very exciting to me when I found out that she was going to be on the show.
But I feel like these new women really are sort of in keeping with the Miami vibe of very different cultural backgrounds,
very different, you know, professions.
They have interesting, you know, like family structures.
Like, this cast, I think, has always been one of the most diverse ones on Bravo.
Not just in terms of, like, you know, ethnic backgrounds or whatever,
but, like, so many different situations.
And seeing, like, Gertie is somebody who was born in Haiti and then moved to France
and then moved to the U.S., like she has such an interesting background.
And clearly, like, all of these women are, like, bosses in their own right.
And Nicole talking about how she and Anthony are really happy together,
but she doesn't necessarily feel like they need to get married because it's like,
what is that doing for her?
It's cool to hear, you know, different perspectives.
And I think, you know, it remains to be seen how these women are in terms of, like,
bringing the drama to housewives.
But they did a really good job with, you know, finding.
interesting, cool people to cast.
Yeah, agreed.
I think Nicole's might cause some drama this season
because if Marisol isn't a fan of someone,
I feel like then that's where it's really going to, like, explode.
Yeah, well, she has no problem getting in there
with the only fans' conversation.
Well, because she is judgmental, I think.
Yeah, which is great.
I mean, just because I don't agree with what all these women are saying,
I'm glad we're having some tension right away.

quite the event. I could not... Oh my God, what she was wearing.
Hot girl summer pool party.
That outfit was the fact that she was like we told Sophia to stay in her room.
I was like, well, why is she home?
Like go to a friend's house.
Have a nanny like take her to the aquarium or something.
Like go do an activity.
That outfit was, okay, it was a little bizarre because you had a bunch of your girlfriends over.
So who are you impressing besides the lifeguard who was, by the way, a smoking?
show, so that's fine.
But, like, why?
Like, I don't, I don't know.
Right.
It's a little bit much.
Maybe she knows they're all talking about her anyway, so she's like, fuck it.
Also, I love when she's like, people thought I wouldn't make it without Scotty.
People thought I wouldn't make it without some old friends.
I honestly can't believe that they talked about the Kardashians and showed that picture.
I was like, that's like thirsty.
Well, I mean, I feel like it's the elephant.
in the room.
That's the reason.
That's what I kind of was saying before is like,
that is the reason why Larsa is back on this show.
Larsa isn't on the show because she was so great on Housewives 10 years ago
and they couldn't do the reboot without her.
She's on the show because she sort of built up her own image in the last,
you know, however many years.
And now she brings a separate sort of fame and audience to the show.
And I think it would be weird not to acknowledge it.
Even if she's not going to talk about being friends with Kim,
I think it would be, you know, it's important context for like why she's even involved with this.
And to be honest, she wasn't even that good of a housewife 10 years, like that.
No.
She was on one six episode season and was like offensive.
It wasn't good.
So, but yeah, then she had like her pretty little thing matching sweatsuits for all the women.
And it was like, wait, what?
You're, like, you don't, like, you, that's weird.
Wait, Adriana, the fact that she was holding it up for the picture and not putting it on.
Oh, she's like, I'm hot.
I don't want to put it on.
I love that.
Look, there is nothing to me more lame than being like, okay, everybody, we're all in glam for this party.
And now we're going to put on sweatshirts that I just pulled out of a bag and take a matching photo.
And it's like, this isn't, it's one thing.
You know, when we on girls trip, when Melissa brought the blue pajamas, and that was like what people were wearing for this game night.
Like that was fun. That was part of the activity. This was literally like, this was very forced.
Put your thing on for the photo. And I don't know if pretty little thing was paying Larsa or if they were paying peacock or what was the situation there.
They were paying someone. Somebody was pretty little thing was writing a check to someone and it was cringe.
I noticed earlier during the party,
I noticed that somebody was drinking out of a like plastic cup that said pretty little thing.
And I'm like, wait, what?
Like, why is this happening?
It was, it was bizarre because a few of the women were like, this is like for a little girl's birthday party.
Like, it's weird because it's one thing for like it to be a natural flow.
But at one point, she was like, girls, want to all put on our sweatshirts like and head over to take a picture?
It was almost like we have to do this for the Instagram and then we can get back into our outfits.
She's like, I love to take pictures and like matching outfits with my girls.
So I got them all sweatshirts.
It's like you didn't get them all sweatshirts.
It's like the sweatshirts were sent and you were told to get a photo.
And Larsa was like, I can attract a 70 year old man.
I can attract a 40 old man.
I can attract whoever.
I was like, oh, Larsa, honey.
Right.
Like, I don't know if it's, I mean, more power to her, power to her.
she should be attracting whoever she wants to attract.
But like, I'm not that impressed that you can sleep with a 70-year-old man.
I can't.
The bar is not high.
I completely agree, Adriana talking.
She's like her butt.
Like, it's really, like, I thought it was hard.
It's soft because it's fake, you know.
Okay, that back and forth, though, because Larsa had felt Adriana's boobs and was like,
oh, they're hard.
And Adriana was clearly offended by that comment.
I think Adriana is usually offended.
regardless of what you say to her.
So that's true.
It is, okay, so I, when they first announced the official cast and we found out that
Adriana and Mary Saul were both going to be friends of and not housewives, people were
surprised, especially about Adriana because she was always kind of a big potsterer in the
original seasons.
And I have to say, after watching this episode, we'll see what happens on the rest of the
season, but it barely even feels like there's any distinction between who's a friend and who's
a housewife.
Right.
There has been to this day nothing that gives me, or, you know, a few things, less anxiety than
the episode of Adriana's wedding.
And if you don't, haven't seen it, please, I'm encouraging you to go watch it.
It is, it can really, like, strike a nerve because she has this thing with time management.
Yeah.
And it's brutal.
I'm kind of glad that she's not with Frederick anymore.
Like I just feel like that always weirded me out a little bit.
And I agree.
Whatever.
I agree.
But yeah, we also meet another friend of Kiki who is at the pool party.
And she seems a little off her rocker in a way that could be really fun or could be extremely chaotic depending on how this season unfolds.
but she's, so Julia has a farm.
Yeah, wait, I was just going to say,
based on how that first conversation went,
chaotic might be the right word.
Okay, it reminded me of the series premiere of Salt Lake City
when they were at Jen's party and that woman, Sarah,
I think her name was who was like at the insurrection, RIP.
She like, walks in, she said, she's like,
happy birthday to you.
She's like, what?
No, it's your birthday.
Like, it gave me that energy.
of a random friend who is just a total wild card,
and we'll see if she really gets involved.
But she's asking Julia if she can, like, suck the milk out of one of her goats.
Like, if you can get goat milk, but can you, do you have to milk it or can you just get it straight from your mouth?
And like, I'm sorry.
I didn't think Marisol's reaction was that out of control.
I thought it was very warranted.
Marisol basically calls her dumb.
And she's like, I'm not dumb.
I was asking a question.
I don't, like, I'm totally here for a little bit of, you know, loose canon.
You never know what you're going to get, friend of energy.
And so we'll see.
I don't know how much Kiki is going to be around on the season.
But I enjoyed that moment a lot.
Yeah.
I'm excited.
I'm going to go watch episode too.
I didn't want to get too distracted or thrown off.
Yeah.
So the second episode came out to.
also, and it's going to come out weekly on Thursdays.
So we will, of course, continue talking about it.
But I feel really good about where this season could be headed.
I think this cast is super strong.
And I do think, you know, I don't know why Adriana is not full-time.
Marisol I kind of get.
But I do like that they were able to bring back kind of all of the core ladies and then
also add new people.
So if that's kind of how they had to do it, I like that we're getting.
getting both because, you know, having people like Gertie and Nicole and Julia really does make it
feel like a fresh kind of reboot experience, but at the same time, it still has the same group.
Really, the only person who was a little bit, I feel not necessarily surprising, but who you
thought they might bring back would be Leah Black. And I don't know that she really would have
fit in with this cast dynamic. I don't know. Listen, I think. I think.
Leah Black could be thrown into any franchise and make it work.
She is like one of those.
But to be honest, I'm not like, I'm not like happy that they didn't bring Leah back.
But also I think I get it.
And I don't even, I'm not even sure she still lives in Miami actually.
But she might be in L.A. now.
But, you know, I think the fact that they were able to get Alexia, Adriana, Marisol, Lisa,
to me that is like the core that you really, that's Miami.
And so, not Joanna.
Thank you.
Honestly, my favorite part of this episode was the beginning credits and it started off
strong with Mama Elsa speaking.
I loved that they gave Mama Elsa a moment.
And I think that is kind of another thing where that was such, she was such an iconic
presence on the first three seasons.
And of course, we all know that she had passed away a couple years.
ago. So it's not like, where is she? But, you know, it's nice that they sort of paid homage to her.
Because I think she was a big part of why people loved Miami so much originally. And obviously,
she's no longer with us. But yeah, no, I'm, I'm having a good time. I'm excited for the rest of the
season. Sam'sies. Well, thank you guys so much for listening. If you're also excited for the
rest of the season. Don't forget to rate, review, and follow the show so you don't miss an
episode. And in the meantime, just be cool. Don't be all, like, uncool.
