Betches Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With me, Dylan Hafer.
We're going to check me, though.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer, and wow, we have made it to the end of the Fanderpump Rules season.
Part three of the reunion.
Lots to talk about.
We'll get there.
We have some other tidbits to deal with first.
Last night I was at the summer house finale watch party.
Bravo is doing these watch party by Bravo events.
Sort of in lieu of BravoCon this year.
The first one they did last night for the summer house finale,
they said they're going to do more later this year.
So stay tuned for dates on those.
But the summer house finale, ooh, it's intense.
It was so funny.
I was with my friend Abby Vonadies,
who's been on the podcast before.
and we were sitting at this little table watching on the TVs.
It was at like a sports bar kind of place.
And there was this table next to us of these like influencer girlies who clearly were not like the biggest Bravo fans.
So me and Abby are like watching the TV like basically on the verge of tears because the end of the show is so intense.
And at the table next to us it's like chatting the whole time.
And then they call like mozzarella sticks.
And they were literally filming two feet away from us this video.
of this girl, like eating a mozzarella stick, as if we just, like, didn't exist and, like,
weren't sitting there. And it was such, such a funny juxtaposition of, like, I, my attention is
100% glued to this TV while somebody's, like, making a video of them eating a steaming
mozzarella stick. I wish I had a mozzarella stick. I did not. Jesse was there. Kyle was there.
Danielle was there. They had another event in L.A., so I think they sent some of the other cast members
out there. But it was, it was good to see the three of them. Jesse Solomon, I think,
doesn't quite realize how big of a deal this show is and this like Bravo fan base is because
there were a lot of people at this event. You know, they sold tickets to it. It was a sold out event.
It was like a, you know, a good size venue. And there was like a little photo op. They did a little
moment on stage. It was cute. But I think for somebody like Jesse who I imagine had not spent a lot
of time pre-Summer house, you know, paying attention to the Bravo universe. It's like, oh,
oh, honey, like, you're, you're, like, kind of famous now. And you, I don't think he is
quite ready for all of that. But Kyle was in the best mood. He was really, like, in the line,
when people were taking photos with him, he was, like, chatting with every person. He was
taking a lot of time. He was being very personal, very nice. It was fun to see Danielle.
Well, look, I don't know what they're going to do.
Abby and I were talking the whole night about like, where do they go from this season?
You know, with Lindsay and Carl, it seems so unlikely that they can both stay on the show in like a main cast capacity.
I don't know what's going to happen.
The reunion trailer came out yesterday, too.
It looks very spicy.
I'm excited to see that.
I'm probably the most excited for a summer house reunion I've ever been.
But yeah, I also want to talk.
There is this post that I saw yesterday that is on the Reddit.
the subreddit, NYC Influencer Snark. And this is, somebody has what they say is 100% accurate info
on Bravo's new show, making it in Manhattan. If you recall, this was announced in sort of the
the big upfront's wave of renewals and updates a couple weeks ago as a new show that they're working on.
But we didn't get any details aside from that it's going to be about, you know, young adults
making it in Manhattan cute. But so I had sort of hypothesized that this might be sort of a
summer house off ramp for some of the people that, you know, maybe, maybe don't make the
most sense on summer house anymore. But this is what this, this reditor has said. So take this with
the biggest grain of salt, because I don't know if this is actually 100% accurate info, but I just
want to talk about it. So it is 100% that I'm reading from the quote. Okay, it is 100%
going to air, but the people who signed to do it were
Brooks Marks, Riley Burris,
Amira Despain, Ming Lee Simmons, that is
Camorah Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons
daughter, Julia Moshe, Andrew Warren,
Ava Dash, Charlie Zakor, Danielle
Naftali, and Dylan Geekkeke,
I don't say these people's names. I heard potentially
Connor Kennedy was the only person still considering.
It was described to me as Whitney Ports Show, The City.
Some sort of tie with some new talent company,
Andrew is launching with one of the big modeling agencies and all the above are signed with it as talent.
Now for the drama, the producer tried to sneak Gia Judice and Ariana Bierman into the cast
with filming stars in a few weeks. The current cast found out through a mutual friend. Now the current
cast is all saying they won't film until those two girls are removed because they refuse to
associate. Show might get canceled now. Okay. Again, caveat that this might be 100% false information.
because it is coming from a Reddit thread.
But there are so many layers to unpack here.
First of all, okay, Brooks, Marks and Riley Burris.
What a choice.
Like, okay, so we're doing housewives kids.
This isn't necessarily what I had in mind.
In that vein, it seems like sneaking Gia Judice
and Ariana Bierman into the cast would make perfect sense.
I don't really know why all of these people would be so up in arms
about, you know, deigning to film
with a jute-ice daughter.
But the rest of this cast is interesting.
I don't know all of these people,
but Amir de Spain is an influencer.
I see her on TikTok all the time.
Like I said, Mingli Simmons is Camorah's daughter.
She looks just like her.
And Andrew Warren, interestingly enough,
I don't know what he has been up to lately,
maybe launching a talent company according to this.
But the reason I know Andrew Warren is
because he was like BFFs with Tiffany Trump.
back in the day. Like, maybe five, six years ago, they would always be in photos together. Like,
I think they hung out with Lindsay Loan one time when she was still in Mekino's. Like, that is where I
know that name from. And so in 2024, I don't know if they're still on good terms. I don't know
if Tiffany's going to be like a friend of on making it in Manhattan. I would live for that and
die for that at the same time. And also I would fucking hate it. But like, what, uh, what an assortment.
Connor Kennedy.
I'm sorry.
What has happened to the country if a Kennedy is joining a show with Brooks Marks and Riley Burris?
I don't know.
This is a strange, it's a strange rumor, but at the same time, it doesn't feel completely fake to me.
The thing with Gia and Ariana, I don't know.
That sounds like somebody's version of events that might be a little bit blown out of proportion.
But this list of people kind of does make sense with me for, you know, who I know.
It just seems like they have been interested for several years now, I think, in doing something with the kids.
There was pre-pandemic, I had heard a lot of rumblings that there was going to be some kind of Bravo kids show,
whether it was like a, you know, ultimate girls trip, but with the kids or like a below deck kind of.
of situation. I think Ali Shapiro was at one point kind of on the docket for that. I think
Shire's son was kind of in the mix. Obviously, you know, somebody like Riley is, you know, now an adult.
She was a kid for a long time. But this is, yeah, I just don't know. Like, I think Brooks Marks is
entertaining when he's in a couple scenes with Meredith on Salt Lake City. I think that he,
I like on TikTok when he's like trolling his mom. I don't know.
that I need to see like Brooks Marks making it in Manhattan. I don't know that I need to see like
Riley Burris fresh out of college trying to hustle in the music business. I don't want to like
yuck the yum of a show that could end up being good. I mean, look, we're 11 weeks into the valley
and it's appointment television. Like I obviously we can be wrong about these things. I don't know.
It just feels like a little bit like really? This is what we're spending our
our time and resources and whatever on.
I don't know. Put a big pin in this because who knows what's happening.
So good, so good.

It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Wait, also speaking of the Valley, tomorrow's episode,
I got to sit down with Jasmine from the Valley.
And we talked about so much stuff.
And I actually loved having her on.
I think she's kind of the perfect person on that show
where she's involved in all of the situations,
but like just out of the spotlight enough
that she kind of has real opinions about everything.
And it doesn't feel like you kind of have to beat her
around the bush and be like, oh my God, like you're queen, you're crushing it, but like also
kind of not.
Like, I was just so excited to get her takes on everything with Jackson, Brittany, with Jesse
and Michelle, with Zach and Kristen not being invited on the, the big bear trip.
I think it was a good one.
So definitely make sure you're a subscribe following whatever they call it these days, so you
don't miss that.
But without further ado, let's talk about Vanderpump.
It's, it looks like we made it.
It's been a long road.
we finally got to see part three of the reunion.
We got to watch them watch the finale.
I was like a little bit unsure how that was going to land because, you know,
the finale was like very emotional and like unique the way they edited it.
But it wasn't like there was some like massive bombshell.
So I was like, okay, like we're going to watch them watch this.
And it's going to be like, okay, who cares?
Well, I cried.
It just was, seeing all those, like, those old clips of them and Ariana talking about how, you know, they share these parts of their life on camera and it hit.
They know what they're doing.
They, they, they did it right.
And this, this third part of the reunion, I think, was kind of what we have been needing and what we have been wanting in terms of it felt like we sort of,
finally stripped away a lot of the,
a lot of the like speaking in code and a lot of the fourth wall and a lot of the
like frankly bullshit about, you know, what happens on the show and, you know,
some of the issues this, like, honestly, it's like all the Joe and Schwartz stuff, like all the
all the things with, you know, everybody else.
It's like, no, we really need to talk about like the state of this group.
And I feel like we finally kind of, we finally kind of got there and starting off this part of the reunion.
I was laughing my ass off when James and Tom are kind of going at it right at the beginning.
And Tom tells James get off your high horse.
And James just responds, I'm galloping so far ahead of you, bro.
I can't even see you in the distance.
You're in the swamp.
Sink in.
Eat a dick.
James just has such a way.
with words. And I do think James had a pretty, a pretty good reunion compared to last year where James
was just like way too heated for most of the day. He kind of sat back and took it in this year.
Aside from these couple moments where he really like got activated, I think that this probably,
I think it benefits James to be a little more chill because James is somebody that is so
entertaining and so like he's such good TV and I think there are times when he kind of lets his
emotions get a little too over the top and so it was kind of nice to have not as chaotic of a
James presence this year you know he's got his residency at live beach at the fountain blue in
in Vegas he doesn't need to be doing all of that it was funny um at the very end when they're
they're eating the sandwiches and Andy's like, oh, like, Ariana, like, I'll see you at something about
her. James, I'll see you in Vegas. It's like, Andy, be fucking for real. I don't think Andy is like
planning a trip to Vegas so he can see James's DJ residency at the Fountain Blue. I know that
Andy's busy. I know that he supports all his, his, his, Bravo children, but it's like,
you're not going to go. Ah, the Ariana and
and Tom of it all.
I feel like this episode maybe for the first time and, you know, famous last words
because we've seen time and time again Tom kind of like take one step forward and then
47 steps back.
But it does feel like we finally are at a place where Ariana has said no enough times that Tom
might be understanding that the answer is no.
Because even earlier in this episode, before they watch back the end of the finale, before whatever, Andy asks Ariana if she thinks she'll ever be able to be in the same room and to have a civil conversation with Tom.
And it's just, the answer is just so simple.
She's been saying it all along and she says again, she says, no, I don't, I don't think I'll feel, I feel comfortable with that.
And if the answer changes in the future, maybe it will.
It's like we've been for three months, four months, treading the same water.
And it's like, the answer has not changed.
And, you know, later on when, you know, we watched the finale and the very end of it is the, you know, Tom saying, oh, like, I love that.
It was good for me after Ariana swarms away.
Ariana just, she goes, exactly.
And like, that's it.
the entire season, it feels like we've been going in the same direction.
She's been, you know, standing her ground over and over and over again.
And I think that in this moment, it was maybe kind of shockingly the first time that Sandoval really, like, picked up what she was putting down.
Because all of a sudden, he's so emotional, crying, sobbing, being like, you know me well.
I know what I say.
Sorry.
I mean it.
And she's like, I, I don't care.
Like, what am I supposed to do that?
I don't, I don't know that you are telling the truth.
I don't know that you mean that.
I don't feel like I know you well enough at this point because you made these decisions that I didn't think you would be capable of.
And it's like, I don't, it's a little strange to me that all of a sudden Tom is like so broken up about the idea that he and Ariana just like aren't going.
going to have a relationship in the future. And it's like, I mean, like we've said, like she said,
like everyone has said, it's like, you did this. You brought us here. And she says, you proved to me
exactly right. I just want you away from me. I just want you gone. And Tom, it's, it's wild.
Even as I'm saying, it seems like he gets it.
This idea of what is their job and what are they obligated to film and what is being honest and showing their truth on camera,
he still is putting her on the hook and saying that it's her job to have this moment with him on camera and that she should have come back.
She should have sat down for it.
Just like Lala is saying that, you know, they show up to film and she should have filmed with her ex.
And I loved the deep cut that Ariana brings up of that moment.
They show the flashback from 2014 of Tom and Kristen in Miami.
And Tom's like crying and basically being like, I didn't want to hate you.
And Ariana's like, this is the exact reason that I didn't want to come back and have that conversation because I was going to be Kristen sitting there being cried at and made to feel bad and made to feel like I'm being a bitch because I want to stand my ground and just like.
remove myself from the situation.
And I think that, first of all,
Ariana is so right that it's like the finale
wasn't less compelling
because we didn't have one last time
of Tom being like,
like, forgive me, okay?
Like that wouldn't have,
that wouldn't have made the finale
a better episode of TV.
And it's interesting because like Lala
and Tom just,
can't quite seem to wrap their head around the fact that for, I think by and large,
for the viewers, seeing another scene of Tom trying to break through to Ariana about how sorry
he is or how much she needs to forgive him or how bad their relationship was that they
wouldn't have made it anyway.
Like that isn't what we wanted to see over and over again this season.
So by making a different choice at the last minute and removing herself from the situation,
Ariana, I do think, made the finale more interesting because we've all seen multiple versions of the conversation with Tom and Ariana where it's like, we're not actually going to make any progress.
We're not actually going to get to a place of friendship or acceptance or forgiveness or whatever.
It's been made abundantly clear that that's not the direction that this is going.
And I kind of respect what Lisa referenced about her final season on Beverly Hills when she chose not to go to the reunion because she's saying you go to the reunion because you want to reunite.
And if you're fighting, you want to be fighting to move to a better place or, you know, whatever, to move forward.
And I didn't go to the reunion.
I left the show because I didn't want to move forward with these people.
I didn't want to fight to protect or save or advance whatever friendships because I was done with those people.
And I think that it's interesting that Lisa brings that up in that context.
And she's talking about not going to the reunion.
But meanwhile, we're at the reunion and everybody has shown up.
And that does to me feel a little bit like the elephant in the room where like obviously I'm glad that everybody showed up to the
It's not fun when people skip the reunion.
But we don't really address the question in this reunion of like, where do we go from here?
Obviously, like, Sheena's trying to get Lala to not be mad at her in the way that she does.
There's like, you know, tension between Katie and Ariana and Lala.
You know, Lala, Lala is, it's tough.
It's tough to watch, to be honest.
But nobody really steps up and asks the question, like, if Tom and Ariana won't ever be friends again, what does the show do from here?
And obviously, you know, they're going to take some time off filming.
These people aren't all in control of their employment status.
I know some people thought that the reunion was going to end with Ariana, like, essentially announcing her departure from the show.
I don't really think that there's any particular reason for her to do that.
Like, if they're going to take time off anyway, I think it makes sense for her to leave the door open as long as she wants to or as long as she can.
And then it kind of puts her in more of a power position when they are doing contracts again.
Because if she decides that she is down to stay, she can probably ask for more money because she is more famous now.
But all that aside, I do think that it's a conversation that I would have liked to at least see.
like, I think Ariana is completely justified in not wanting to have some bullshit filmed
conversation with Tom Sandoval on the finale, because that is her authentic way of moving forward.
But then I think it would have been fair at the reunion to say, okay, like, if you don't ever
want to be in a situation with Tom, what is your proposal for how next season might look on this show?
And honestly, I would, you know, I think that that's a question that you could ask to half the people on the stage, you know, because, okay, maybe Sheena wants to be on good terms with everyone. But like, if Lala is so fucking pissed at Katie and Ariana for not being honest or not protecting her paycheck or whatever, where does she see this going? Does she, does Lala want Ariana off the show? Or does Lala just want Ariana to stay on the show, but to play.
by her rules.
Because I think that that is,
I think that that's like an important distinction
because Lala has made it very clear
that she has strong feelings
about kind of what being on the show
should require of people.
And so it's like, okay, if Ariana's not meeting those criteria,
do you want her to be fired?
Because I think it's undeniable that
Ariana has a fan base and Ariana has, you know, obviously a lot of name recognition, a lot of support.
And so if she's on the show, there are people that are going to watch because she's on and theoretically that should help Lala's paycheck.
But I don't know.
I mean, it's challenging.
And I think honestly, like, I feel for Sheena because I think that Sheena really has been in the middle for so much of this season.
and I don't think that she should throw away her friendship with Tom Sandoval.
And I think that she has done overall, like not a horrible job of trying to balance.
And I think that Ariana understands that.
Like, Ariana at no point, Ariana is saying Sheena's family.
Obviously, Sheena has some feelings about, you know, Ariana was more distant and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, because she was busy and she doesn't always answer my text.
But at the end of the day, it's like, Ariana says she knows family, says she always will be.
there, Ariana could be making more of an issue out of Sheena's kind of like fence sitting this season.
And she's choosing not to.
Like, for the most part, Ariana is kind of taking the high road.
And I think that that is something that is kind of being ignored by Lala, that it's like, okay, yes, there were certain situations where Ariana was like putting her foot down or not playing along.
But at the end of the day, like, she could have spent this whole season like,
literally not showing up to any place that Tom was.
And that would have been a lot less fun to watch.
I do love when they talk about the,
uh,
Ariana's boyfriend coming on the San Francisco trip.
And Andy's like,
why didn't he come on do all the activities?
And Ariana's like,
well,
first of all,
he only came because those were the dates he was going to be in LA anyway.
So like,
it's like,
okay,
we might as well do this.
But also he's not getting paid.
He doesn't want to come to this like awkward group dinner with my ex
for not even.
a paycheck. And when Andy's like, well, I don't think Brock was getting paid when he first joined
the show. It's like, Andy. Let's be real. Brock is nothing if not a fame whore. You know Brock was so
excited to get miced up to get on camera when he started dating Sheena. Let's not pretend that these

Was Andy's segue out of asking Ariana
if she'll ever have a conversation
with Tom again?
And he just goes,
in happier news,
I want to talk about
Jacks Taylor. The Jackson-Britney stuff is really interesting. I don't exactly know, like,
why it became a topic of conversation on this reunion, but, like, I'm down to talk about it.
When Andy's like, who keeps up with Jackson-Britney and everybody's like, oh, well, I talk to Britney.
God, I'm so happy that they're not together anymore because I just feel like Brittany has, like,
so much potential in a way that, like, Jacks was always going to be kind of this, like, ball and chain
around her ankle. And I'm like, I don't know, you know, I don't want to, again, I've said this before.
I don't want to give Brittany, like, too much credit because, like, I don't know what's happening there.
But I feel like Brittany could have, like, a little bit of a moment. Like, season two of the Valley,
seeing Britney, like, single and, like, with the weight of Jacks off her shoulders, maybe she could
pop up on Vanderpump Rules in the future. I don't know. I feel like there are, I feel like there's
a lot of upside for Brittany now that she's no longer with Jacks. But anyway, we're talking about
the Britney and Jack's cheating rumors, specifically the Jack's cheating rumors. I love that Katie is like,
well, like, I don't know. Like, I heard about this. And she was like, well, I heard about it too,
but I don't think that it's real because Brittany has all of his passwords and she looked through
his phone and there were no texts. And Katie's like, Katie's like, well, they weren't, they weren't
texting. Like, he wasn't like having an affair. He just was like going to a bar and like fucking
someone. There weren't, there wasn't like a paper trail because Jacks probably didn't even know
this woman's name. And then Tom and Tom, you know, the experts on fidelity are like, no, no, that's
crazy. Because, you know, if Jacks was doing that, there's no way he could get away with it. It'd be all over the,
you know, it'd be all over the whatever. Everybody would find out. It's like, Tom Sanibal, let's not hear
from you about like the the code of conduct around cheating on your partner when you're a public
figure. Like let's sit this one out. You were able to keep your relationship with Raquel's
secret for like seven months. So I'm pretty sure that like if Jacks wanted to hook up with a
waitress for one night, that he could figure out a way to keep it on the DL. And also it's not that
on the DL because we're talking about it on the show right now. So like, again, let's,
Let's call a spade a spade. I don't have that much trouble believing that Jack's slept with someone that wasn't his wife.
But then also the situation with Brittany and Lala over a babysitter is so random and I kind of would love to know more.
So according to Lala, the day of her gender reveal for her baby that she's pregnant with right now, Brittany was in Kentucky and she's like texting Lala, angry at,
Lala for stealing her nanny without asking her.
But Lala's like, first of all, it's a babysitter, not a nanny.
There's a difference.
And second of all, you're literally in Kentucky right now.
I didn't steal her.
I, like, hired her for the day.
Also, my mom is here, and you're, like, yelling at my mom.
And she said my 63-year-old mom is being questioned by Kentucky muffin.
I just like, this is something where I'm like,
this would be a perfect storyline on the valley.
Drama over trying to share a babysitter
and like the difference between a babysitter and a nanny.
That is like catnip to me.
That's what I want to see.
I feel like the subtext there is that like having a nanny is more
boogie than hiring a babysitter.
And like Lala's kind of implying that like Brittany can't,
wouldn't, couldn't afford to have a real nanny.
money. Like she can only have, she has like somebody that she hires when it's like Dightonai,
which isn't happening that often. But I don't, like, that is the kind of thing where I'm like,
I don't know if I want Lala to be on the Valley, but maybe I do. I guess we'll see. I hope they
start filming the Valley like tomorrow, to be honest. If we're not getting Vanderpump rules for a while,
like get on camera. But anyway, I mean, the end of this reunion, it's, um, it's tough. It's tough.
I think that Lala
really needs to have like a good long look in the mirror
now that this season is done airing
because I just can't imagine
if she's spending any kind of time online
or in comment sections or whatever
like she has to be seeing that her approach
to this whole back half of the season
really didn't land.
And I haven't, I don't think I've talked to really anyone
who's like, no, I get where Lala's coming from.
I think she's right.
I maybe see certain, I understand certain frustrations that she has.
And look, even at the finale, when she was throwing a fit about Ariana setting a boundary,
I understand why as another cast member on this show, it might feel frustrating that somebody
isn't kind of playing along in the way that you feel like you're kind of supposed to.
But the way that she has gotten her points across and the way that she has gotten her points across and the way,
that she has sort of
taken this stand
that it's like so unfair
and such a double standard that like
she's saying when she and Rand broke up
that people were, you know,
shitting on her and saying she should have seen it coming
and Lisa was saying,
oh, well, you lose them how you get them
and the leopard doesn't change his spots.
Randall and Tom Sandoval
are not equivalent in the
lore of Vanderpump rules.
Tom say, it's like, okay,
like did Tom Sandoval
cheat on Kristen in the past? Yes, is that something that we are aware of in the back of our minds?
Yes, but we watched Tom and Ariana be a main couple on the show for the better part of a decade.
Randall never didn't seem skeezy. Like there was, even in the moments where it was like,
oh, Randall's being good now. He's playing pickleball and being a father. We never actually thought
that he was like a good dude. And, you know, your mileage may vary with how much grace you had for
Sandoval over the past 10 years, but like, at the very least, he was sort of a protagonist of
the show for a long time. And he was somebody that we actually had like a firsthand relationship
with as viewers where like Randall was always like Lala's like skeezy guy. So I do think
there's a difference. I understand why it's frustrating for her as the one who had the tough
breakup or whatever. But it's like, I just think I think I think. I think.
think she needs to take a step back and really like reevaluate. And I'm again, I'm very curious to
see kind of what they decide to do for next season, what the cast looks like, what the schedule
looks like, when we, when we see it, when, if anybody's filming for the Valley, so many questions
to be answered. But overall, you know, a solid season of Vanderpump Rules. Not the best one ever,
but I think we made it through and we had a lot of work to do and we got to most of it.
But anyway, that's the show for today.
Thank you for listening.
