Starting point is 00:00:00 Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope.
Starting point is 00:00:24 It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. Betches Media presents. Ha ha, laugh, funny. Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast. We don't say that, but now we said it. With me, Dylan Hafer.
Starting point is 00:00:41 We're going to check me, though. Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the Mentioner at All podcast. I'm Dylan Hafer, and today I am so happy to be joined in the studio, again, by my friend and fellow Bravo lover, fellow Betches podcast host, Danny Murphy. Hi, Dylan. Hello.
Starting point is 00:00:59 It's been a while since you've been here. The last time we talked was a Vayner Pump Rules reunion. Yeah, wow Well, because I, you know, I was like Looking back, I was like, when was the last time I asked you I didn't do this shit? And it was like, I was like, okay, not July. He never calls, he never rights.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Well, I mean, you're, Am I the camera to your Shannon? Two years you just haven't talked to me? Maybe I'm the Gina to your Heather. Oh. I do have my coffee. I don't think she's putting in the effort to the friendship. Heather's like, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:01:29 And then we really just acknowledge that the friendship is for the cameras. For the cameras. Put the cameras in the casitas I guess it's good to see you No I mean my kids are just going off to college It's crazy yeah I mean I've seen you like around town Roney premiere
Starting point is 00:01:43 The Roney premiere The Rony premiere We dance the night away Yeah We don't cease it up No one stepped in vomit No one stepped in vomit Oh my god
Starting point is 00:01:52 Well at least I didn't Page 6 has all the All the vomit coverage If you're looking for it to get caught up to speed If you want to make a splash But the big news That we're talking about today. We're going to talk about OC in a little bit.
Starting point is 00:02:06 But yesterday we got some some breaking girls trip news. We will not be getting X-wives Club to Takes Morocco next or this year. We will be getting girls' trip, Roney Legacy, Scary Island, Return to St. Barts in December of this year. And Morocco has been pushed to just blanket statement, 2024, which we knew that we were only getting one of these this year. So as far as we know, the rollout schedule has not really changed, it just is
Starting point is 00:02:42 a little flip-flop. I guess they were like X-wives, too. Maybe that's like where like Joe and Kamala are going to like really like go into like, they're like, we need it 20204 because we're going to like maybe they pop in for a cameo. They're like, this is on our campaign trail. Alex McCor. Spoiler alert. Ron DeSantis was in Morocco. Oh, that's probably more likely.
Starting point is 00:03:02 But so, okay, so they frame this as, wow, as a thank you to the fans for the resounding support of Rony and of Crappy Lake. We're going to gift you with this blessing of more Rony content so soon in four more months. Yeah. And, okay, I am excited to see the Rony legacy season, of course. You know, like you said, Kristen Takeman, congratulations. She's taking it all. I just saw her at Jill's luncheon. she seems very ready for...
Starting point is 00:03:32 Oh, yes. Good, Rony. But the treatment of the Morocco season is... It's really interesting. The way I even, like, forget who's... I mean, there's some people I don't forget who's on it, but I'm like, I don't even remember what the plan for it was. I had to write down the full cast because I keep imagining people that weren't there
Starting point is 00:03:53 and then also forgetting some people that were there. So the cast for Morocco, just as a refresher to you and I and everyone, It's Eva, Fadre, Brandy Glanville, notably, Vicky, Camille, Alex McCord, Gretchen Rossi, and Caroline Manzo.
Starting point is 00:04:14 What? So yes, it's an assortment. I feel like Provost's even like, what do you? They're like, wait, but they filmed this in January of this year. And so it is going to be over a year between the filming and the airing.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Whenever allegedly it's airing in 2024, it's not going to be January 1st. We already saw like the delay factor playing apart in Thailand when they're like, we're still talking about the black eye. I'm like, Candace and Gisela are okay, but now they're not. I'm like, we're... Yeah, I think that's... So because this is ex-wives club,
Starting point is 00:04:50 I think the one thing that is, at least makes me feel better about the delay is that this show theoretically is probably not really going to to be tied to any current housewives storylines. Right? They're like waiting just for Barbara Streisand to give them the rights for Evergreen to be as the theme song. They're like, sorry guys, just hold on.
Starting point is 00:05:10 We don't have to worry about Camille being like, well, what happened in Aspen? Or like, we don't have to worry about anybody bringing up something that happened on the prior season of their housewives show. But it is just like, it feels like we're in this bubble of time. And after the first ex-wives club that happened, And we saw Taylor joining O.C. We saw, you know, Fadra did married to medicine.
Starting point is 00:05:35 So that's now going to be out before this. And like, so is she going to talk about it in Morocco? Who the hell knows? And then, you know, we saw Dorinda is, you know, doing the legacy version. So there were kind of after effects of ex-wives club the first time. And Tamara, you know, Tamara came back. So I think to me, the people that are really getting kind of screwed over by this. are like Camille and Gretchen mostly.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Because this is their big return to housewives. Also, I mean, that was even like cursed from the start because I feel like there's going to be no victory lapse after this one just from the energy going into it. Because I'm also like, push for 2024. How are they even going to like do a promo tour for this? I don't know. I mean, I, if you think about, okay, so we have BravoCon. in November.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Last year, BravoCon was the first place we saw any footage from the Thailand season. And the cast made a surprise appearance at the Girls Trip panel. And now BravoCon this year is still going to be before the Rony season comes out. So it would almost make more sense for them to use BravoCon to hype up that season. And, you know, if they want to, you know, Kristen Tickman, I'm sure would love to go to Vegas. She lives in Calabasasas. She's only five times. She's like, my life is so different.
Starting point is 00:07:00 I'm in Calabasas now. I'm like, I don't, okay. Have you spoken to her? At Jill's luncheon, literally. Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes. I had like a heat stroke and I was like, who's happening? And like, you're like hallucinating, just tall blonde. Yeah, and I was like, oh, my God, do like a Barbie.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Yeah. And she's like, that's a compliment this year. I was like, isn't it always? I'm like, girl, what's happening? But she seems very excited. She said it's just like riding a bike. Okay. So she's going to love Vega.
Starting point is 00:07:21 How successfully did she ride a bike the first time? Like, let me tell. I don't know how to ride a bike. around that. But she had a pop of color. Okay. She popped. Like, I feel like for somebody like Derinda, you can be like, oh, it's like riding a bike because like I was iconic before. I'm still iconic.
Starting point is 00:07:39 With Kristen, it's like, I think we still want to be sharpening the skills. Yeah. Just take another little piece of my heart, now take men. Yeah. She, I feel she's just a girl who's happy to be there. Yeah. She's just kind of, she's, and like, it's funny. I'm like, because she never, she never met Dorenda before. Or like, I don't think so, right? And I feel like, everybody have heard. I don't know if she knew Kelly at all. Oh, yeah. And I just have everyone I feel has been mumbling that Dorinda comes in hot as hell.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Yeah. Well, I mean, Derinda is like, she thought she was going to come off pause. And then the show she was going to be unpaused on went away. Went away. So I honestly think that they got the better under the stick. Then who? I mean, the alternative. I'm like, y'all filming for a week getting like paid, I feel like probably the same amount.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Yeah. Do you go on vacation? I mean, yeah. I think for somebody like Derinda, it's like assuming this goes well. and clearly Peacock feels good enough about it to move it up the timeline and that it's going to be less of a, you know, PR headache than whatever happened in Morocco. But yeah, it is interesting to think about the Morocco season. It's like, I don't know. Like what if you've had 10 months to figure it out and you still are like feeling weird about it, like what's.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Well, that's honestly my main thing that I was thinking is that they're still. maybe trying to edit around stuff. Or if there's like, is there lawsuit we don't know about? Is there... That's actually probably... Investigation. We, you know, if there's some kind of like
Starting point is 00:09:09 HR investigation going on, it's hard to say, but it does seem like not a great sign that they're like, actually, we'll do this one first. Yeah. I really can't imagine. And also, I'm assuming they're going to want
Starting point is 00:09:24 to film another girl strip soon. Yeah, so the cadence they've been going at is like roughly every six or, you know, like more than one a year. Yeah. So it would seem like probably by, you know, the first like Q1, 2024, they would be gearing up to do another one. Well, like, I don't know, like early. You're like, hey, Kristen, Q1, you're ready? Get your finances in order.
Starting point is 00:09:55 I did. Yeah. So it is, it is interesting, like, at what point is it, is it worth it? And like, Alex McCord, sweet Alex McCord. They should have just, they should have just waited and had her go to St. Barts. I know. I was, that's the one person. I'm like, oh, I was so ready to see her like quirky Australian, like therapist energy back on my TV. But at the same time, I feel like she probably doesn't even, she's probably not even paying attention. No, no. She's like, I'm sorry. When is this airing? Yeah. She's like, it's on hey you. Guys, I'm not. Oh my God. Hey you. Their social media is really good, by the way. It is really good. But like people always are asking me. They're like, when is real households of Dubai going to be on Hey You? And I'm like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:37 You're like, hey, you. I don't know. Like, I physically, I'm geo blocked from even using Hey, you. I can't even Google it. I wouldn't have a reason to. Wait, here's my suspicion or here's my thought. But if Hey, you wants to, wants to pay me. Hey, you.
Starting point is 00:10:52 You can say it in a different town. Yeah. If Rony Rhaugat legacy does really well. Jesus. It's the ugliest acronym. Is the ugliest acronym. Do you think, because I'm now wondering, would ultimate girls trip just evolve to being
Starting point is 00:11:06 every year the Rony girls go on a treat these ladies? Because I'm like, if they strike gold with this, because we know this cast, flaws in all, is captivating. Could you imagine a world where it's like, all right, I guess this is now just like a vacation series of them?
Starting point is 00:11:22 Oh, Danny. I feel like my life just flashed before my eyes because I have, I just feel like I have more, I have more of a bucket list for girls trips. Cross trip. Like there's more people I want to see. There's more, you know, I want to lift up the rock and see what critters are under there and get some of them back on, back on TV. I think though, I think we've always thought, or I mean always for the two months that it's been happening felt like this Roney Legacy girls trip is kind of. a test run for this group. And like, so I could see if this airs in December and people are obsessed with it, I think
Starting point is 00:12:01 Crappy Lake has gone well for them so far. Like people still are connecting to this cast. And I don't know if it would be a recurring girls trip thing, but I think it could be a recurring something. Like maybe I don't know how they're approaching it, but like is the reward for a successful girl's trip another girl's trip or is it a show proper? a ro-hmm because then it's like then you have like the new rony girls and then this would just be like I guess what rony legacy was allegedly gonna be yeah I also don't I'm curious kind of what
Starting point is 00:12:32 peacocks like desires are because of the bravo related shows that they've created for peacock Miami is moving back to bravo next season and below deck down under moved back to bravo for season two so I don't they're kind of in terms of like the peacock originals, girls trip is kind of the only piece of that right now. And so I could see, I don't know what they're like larger strategic goals are, like, you know, free cash flow or like stockholder or whatever. But it does seem like they probably would be looking for like some more stuff to have. They should just throw some more crappy lake versions over there. Because all I want to do now is watch Karen and Giselle do something like that.
Starting point is 00:13:20 That's all I want. Do you think that would work? Karen and Chazelle? It would be so funny. Because that's what I was thinking when I was thinking of like other people. Yeah. Because when I was watching Capuletka, like, I need so many people to do this. You need Housewives because it's not a lot that would like bring the laugh and the humor.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yes. And some drama, but also actually try to help the time. Right. I think that's why it works so well because obviously there are certain moments where Sonia and Luann are, you know, clearly this isn't what they're used to, but it never feels like it's in a way where they're disgusted by the people that they're around or what they're expected to do.
Starting point is 00:14:01 You know, they're really taking it in stride and being good sports about it. And I think there are a lot of iconic housewives who I love watching on TV, who would be absolute nightmares to watch in this situation. And it would just feel kind of mean. Yeah, that's why it's a very short list of people who I think could do it.
Starting point is 00:14:20 well. Like, I could, like, Lisa Van Prabham and Heather Dubrow, we're not going to be able to. Right. Like, I don't want to watch Kyle Richards, like, muck-raking. Like, she, like, Heather Dubrow shoveling shit for 10 seconds was already, like, a point of contention. Because she's like, well, girls, thank God I don't have to do this every day. She's like, I really learned how the other half lives.
Starting point is 00:14:39 I really, really did. Your summer starts now with Memorial Day deals at the Home Depot. Starting point is 00:15:34 Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. I love like Emily Simpson. Episode after episode, haven't you be like, Heather, do you know that you can be a little bit condescending? I'm also like Emily, now you're getting a little condescending with that. But I do love some e-samps. Well, she's got Shane to keep her in her place. He's like, does something shift with him?
Starting point is 00:16:00 I'm like, yeah, there's like a vibe happening with you. When she said, why do you stop throwing me under the bus? And he said, stop standing in front of a bus. He passed that bar and now he's really good in. He's dropping some bars. I love when he has his solo confessional and he's there wearing his like businessman suit and tie. I'm like, you are so like. prepared for this in a way that like there's no like you're just like it's like a deposition.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Oh, he's ready for Q1. He's like, your honor, I find that Emily and I sometimes have different parenting styles and mine is correct. Oh, that's also, unfortunately, in House size, I'm like, I can't handle parenting storylines. I know. Also, because it's like, the thing is like, that is not really a storyline. Like, it's like a, it's like a top. Yeah. It's a it's a conversation, but there's no like, it's not like Emily and Shane are, you know, it's not like one of their kids is like getting arrested and they have to figure out how to handle it. It's like Annabelle's being a little bit mean to Keller. Yeah. So Keller has to sit on the other side of the table. No Kellogg's for Keller because he's been a bad boy. Like, what are we doing here? I'm like, call me when Ashley Malaya's back.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Right. Or like early OC when Lori's son was. was getting like literally hauled off to prison. Now that's when the kids can be here. Yeah. You're like, that's what we love to see. Now that's parenting tomorrow. No, I do, I am enjoying Emily this season overall. I think she has really, she's found a good groove where it doesn't feel like she's trying
Starting point is 00:17:42 too hard, but she is, she's a funny person. She's engaging. She's funny and getting into the mess of the drama, which I really like. And I like that she kind of is able to like, hop around. Like she could get drinks with every single woman. Yeah. And start some shit.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Yes. I think she's in a good spot where she kind of feels like a utility player a little bit. And it really, on a housewives cast, it really pays to have one or two people that can kind of slot in with anyone. They can, you know, meet at a store for a two minute conversation. They can grab a drink. They can go to lunch. They can come over to your house. That's why a lot of people throw shade at her and Gina.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I'm like, they're the ones who are in every, like, they can go like, Gina's at the yoga place. Right. with her frap talking. Right. Like, Gina, Gina can go to Jen and be like, I think you need to watch out for Tamrock because she's saying the right things now.
Starting point is 00:18:31 But you never know. But then she also is like, yeah, you know, she can kind of, she can play with everyone. And I love, she is,
Starting point is 00:18:40 and I think it is like, I even told her when I talked to her, like that sugar-free red bull mind, it's clear as day. She's throwing shade. Like, I'm like, she's more like,
Starting point is 00:18:50 zip than she's been. I feel like in past seasons. Well, and I think especially with somebody like Shannon who has a tendency to be a little bit all over the place. She's the funniest one on TV. And she's emotional. You know, Shannon is a delicate flower sometimes. And she's literally telling her, she's like, is it cool that I said all that? John Jansen.
Starting point is 00:19:14 But yeah, I mean, like, there is something about being somebody in the cast who is, you know, like dialed in at all times that. Being sober on housewives can be kind of a good thing. I always feel it's like Jersey March. She's like, I'm like, oh, she remembers something from five? She's like going in with it. I'm like they really can keep. They're like the like the sonographers or whatever at the court. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:36 You know who is not sober on Orange County right now? Victoria Gumberson. She, okay, we this first. I'm like, what happened? This first lunch that she comes back for is so funny. Because what Tamara and Shannon are talking about and, like, dealing with seems to be pretty intense. Yeah. And is directly related to the well-being of Shannon's relationship and the core issue of whether Heather Dubrow is a messy bitch or can be trusted.
Starting point is 00:20:12 And Vicki's like, get more to go. Whoa. What the hell up? That was kind of, it was like sad, beautiful, tragic watching her. like they're like actually having like a conversation about something that was going on episode. She's like, why are we opening it up? It's like, babe.
Starting point is 00:20:28 But it's like you've been back for five minutes. Yeah. It's like it's like, girl just kind of like sit. Yeah. And be in the like, be in the conversation. Well,
Starting point is 00:20:36 I'm curious as if she, you know, we know that she's going to be back a little more over the back half of the season. And I am hoping that she can kind of reel it in and participate more rather than just being like, Vicky's back. It's very meme. Because it's like if you actually have an interest in rejoining the show in a meaningful way, you have to be a member of the group.
Starting point is 00:21:04 And you have to be clear enough to participate and to at least pretend like you give a shit about what is the central conflict. Because you have to realize it's like it's like it's what's that saying they say for parents. It's like it's not your party. anymore. It's your kids party. Oh my God. It's so sad. It's so sad. I'm like crying. Having kids sounds hard. Thank God. Oh, I'm so alone. I'm like, no, guys, I'm fine. I just cry myself to sleep
Starting point is 00:21:31 every night. No, but it's like, Vicky, this is not, I know you're the OG of the OC, but there's storylines going on that you have to just be like, oh, what? You know what I mean? And be the Vicky self and then get a little activated with that. If Vicki wants to be drunk and messy, I want her to be drunk and messy like, who's this guy Ryan? He's fucking everybody. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, Heather did what? Like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Like, channel the, channel the messy energy into the actual show and not just into, like, it's party time because Vicky's back. Yeah, I do feel, and, like, also from the looks like, I think maybe she just was a little, like, Tenasha Two on. Like, I think she probably was like, fuck, I'm drunk. Like, I think she maybe came in a little, she accidentally, like, flew too close to the sun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Right. Like, I mean, I get it. It's your first time back on the show a few, after. a few years. And like pressure on. She did not have the most graceful exit the first time around. I did laugh when like Shannon was like, if this is on camera, it will ruin it. Because she went over to a table. I thought it was just patrons. I didn't realize it was like the producer's about that last week. The way they had to label the table because they literally are just camped out on the other side of the restaurant. I'm like, it's like the, it's like a bus boy. She's like,
Starting point is 00:22:42 if they're filming this, I'm over. He's like, what? He's like, do you need more salsa? And I love that. She just said Heather, she called Heather Dubrow. She called Heather Dubrow. I'm a mother father. Mm-hmm. Oh. Heather is in an interesting spot this season because, you know, she, I feel like she's a little more comfortable than she was last year because there's not as much pressure for her to be, like, the alpha of the group. But now it's like this game that Tamara plays after they go to whatever workout class,
Starting point is 00:23:11 where Tamara's basically trying to, um, trying to get Heather like perjure herself. Yeah. Well, and can I say, I don't know where everybody listening is raised. I think I'm on Heather's side. In Jersey, I'm like, you can talk shit behind someone's back. It wasn't on camera. But Tamara's asking, it's like, I don't know what you're talking about. Because Heather in that, it's like, Shannon told Heather stuff.
Starting point is 00:23:33 And I'm sure Shannon was like, I just don't want it on camera. Heather's like, got you, girl, but called everyone being like, so. And now Tamara wants to be a little messy. Heather called her dearest friends in the world, Gina and Emily. Gina and Emily, who she's like, she and you know the number. It's like, I need to like a two one two. Okay, that's Gina. Like it's not even saved on the phone.
Starting point is 00:23:53 It's just, I was in the 2-1-2. And then she's like, okay, Jean, oh, nope, that's the Plaza Hotel. She's, like, trying to get to Gina by Call 5. And she's like, so Shannon's a mess. She's like, she's in the cast group chat, just like trying to guess which, like, reading from context clues of the texts, which number goes with which person. She's like, oh, this was the casting agent for that's life. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:24:15 26 episodes. This is for, um, about Fireside. Mark Cuban. making an appearance to talk about this content creation app. I gotta be honest, whatever a celebrity goes on a housewife thing, that's my bathroom break. So I saw him sit down and I caught,
Starting point is 00:24:37 I think I went to like refill my water and I went back to when it was just the cut throughs of like, fireplace, fireplace, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, what's funny is that they had so many examples of Heather talking about it, not one of which had we seen. No. So you know that they, were like, okay, we can't cut the scene with Mark Cuban because it's Mark Cuban.
Starting point is 00:24:57 That's a get. That's a get for Heather to have him on the show. And Heather knows that. But we will not be covering fireside as any meaningful storyline. We will just have this like overlapping montage of clips so you can tell that she won't shut the fuck up about this, but we're not actually giving it the time of day. It's so perfect. It was just hilarious, right?
Starting point is 00:25:16 My single, my single, my single is dropping is dropping. I love that reference. But I, it is funny because Heather all season long has had this kind of second tier storyline of like wanting to get back into the entertainment industry. Oh, C, great to raise kids. Bad for callbacks. I'm like, beach, yes. Auditions. Not so much.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I can't wait for her to be like on a CB. She's like, show as a bartender. Like, it'll be 3.79. Right. So like this is what she thinks or at least what she says. She thinks her like tipping a toe into the industry is going to be. be, but what it sounds, okay, it's giving HQ trivia to me. Because they're like audience participation, scripted, unscripted, so much stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:01 And I'm like, what, what is it? That's the thing I don't understand. And unfortunately, I did interview Heather for it. And I still don't understand it. For Fireside. Because she was like, I was like, she was explaining to me. I was like, I was very Giselle like, I'm getting it. I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:26:18 See, I kind of sounds like Patreon, but it's not her Patreon. and it's right okay and I think it's why Tamara compares it to only fans which sure sure and I think it's why Only fans is basically Patreon that's true
Starting point is 00:26:32 T no that's and except you know what I'm like do you want to hear people talk on her I'm like if you're paying $5 you want to someone talking you want to say if what I'm just
Starting point is 00:26:41 in this economy in this economy do I want do you want I don't need like a voice memo from Tamara do you want Dunkin Donuts to hear what I really think, or a picture of a foot.
Starting point is 00:26:55 I'm not even shading myself. You go for the foot. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, more power to anyone who gets people to subscribe and pay money for anything. If I didn't see what I, like, angles of myself in photos that I'm, like, tagged in, I would be an only fan. Because I know, like, when I, like, someone took a photo that I was, like, in the corner of it and I see my picture, I'm like, I would just be begging people to join my only fans. That's why I'm not on it.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Well, yeah. No, it's, there are, you'll see sometimes. like, you know, Rupal, as gay people, we get to choose our families. As gay people, we get to see our friends sometimes, like, try and start an only fan. Yeah. And, you know, there are those people who get really excited about it and then realize that it's, like, work. And also, like, not lucrative.
Starting point is 00:27:43 No, it's lucrative. Lubrative, not lucrative. Well, it's lucrative for, like, 300 people. Oh, because I'd be like, it'd be like the Rita or I'd be like, okay, if this is gets 100,000 recruits, I'm dropping my only fans, and I'll be like, guys, I was hacked. They're like, wow, if new Roney gets
Starting point is 00:27:59 10 million tune-ins per week, we'll drop the legacy, and they're like, never mind, we're dropping it anyway. I'm sorry, that's, uh, who hacked us? Dorinda? Who did the password? Hey,
Starting point is 00:28:12 press then. But yeah, I mean, best of luck to Fire side. Fire side. Keep it hot, keep it spicy. Ready to soundtrack your summer? With Red Bull Summer All Day Play, you choose a playlist that fits your summer vibe the best. Are you a festival fanatic, a deep end DJ,

Starting point is 00:29:25 So it's John Johnson's boat. So it's meant to be a double date with Tamara and Eddie and John and Shannon sounds blissful. And it's Tamara's idea that Jen and Ryan should also be invited on the boat excursion. When they're like, let's just move forward. Tamara knows that she needs to see Ryan face to face. And, you know, Ryan is determined not to look at her while they're on the boat. He's wearing his like denim jacket covered in graffiti with a leopard collar. Oh my God. I mean, Ryan, Ryan gives me the strangest vibes. And I don't even necessarily mean that
Starting point is 00:30:04 in a bad way. It just is like, who is this man? Yeah. I like feel I can like smell him. Not again, in a bad way. Just in like. Just fragrance. Like I feel like he goes in the mall and like sprays five colognes and he's like this is it. Like I just, I can't get a read on him. Yeah. I feel like he could still be using X body spray. Yes. And also, I don't know if I would subscribe to his only fans. Like everyone is like, like, I don't get like his like mass. Like I'm like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:36 He's putting the OC women in a tit. Like I'm like, he's the talk with a. Right. Like all of cut fitness was in heat. Yeah. And he, I'm like, he's not a bad looking guy. Not a bad looking man. I'm just saying I think I would, I don't know if my resistance on the
Starting point is 00:30:51 elliptical would change if he walked in. Yeah, it is funny. So, you know, Eddie asks if he said the thing about wanting to fuck Tamara. And he says that he did not. But Tamara was the one who was making all these comments about how hot he was. And so he said, you know, Tamara's hot too. And it's like, okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:11 The whole thing of like who says who is hot at the gym is kind of like not to me the main thing. I'm also like you're on TV. You all think you're hot. Like, huh. Uh-huh. Right. Like it seems like cut fitness is. environment where like everybody thinks everyone is hot and that's kind of the point it's kind it was like
Starting point is 00:31:28 poly Pilate it's like I feel like it's like I'm like um but so basically uh Ryan says that he didn't say that and therefore is calling Heather Amin a liar um I'm curious how do you feel about Heather amine like last week when she was at the pool party was she giving you anything that you were interested in or is it kind of like why are we why are we in this pool my thing was Heather I mean what are we doing here? Especially when everybody circled our round. I was like, because I think it's hard because I'm like, what are you trying,
Starting point is 00:32:00 these bombs are trying to job on like a girl who like we just met like a few episodes ago? And it just kind of seems like it wasn't anything explosive because this is all we've been talking about with Ryan too. Right. And it kind of gets to a point where I'm like, guys, yes,
Starting point is 00:32:15 you've told Jen 5,000 times her man is a cheater. She's still with him. What do you want? Right. What's your night? What was the gotcha moment when you thought was going to happen? Right. So we have established that Ryan has cheated bunches of times in the past, and he freely acknowledges that. He cheated on his ex-wife several times. Several times. Who is not a perfect person? When Eddie asks. So I like that. Eddie's like, so you agree that you have cheated several times. So by definition, you are a cheater. Yes? Okay, Elsa. We're back to the deposition here. Truly. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:32:50 So. Okay. Also that moment when Jen is like, I'm going to let these three. talk about it. I'm like, girl, why are you making yourself like sit in misery? She's like, I said all I have to. I'm like, what? Well, that's the thing. And so they, then another crux of the issue is that, you know, at a certain point, they were on this break and that he slept with someone else while they were on the break. And so therefore, it's not technically cheating because they were on a break, which like, fine, okay. Sure. However you want you. But then in Jen's confessional, she's like, oh, you know, when you're, you're on the break, but, you know, you don't specify any rules,
Starting point is 00:33:23 then you're still talking the whole time. And he says this sucks. Like, it really felt like getting cheated on. And I'm like, babe, like, listen to yourself. Like, but then, you know, like in the actual conversation, she's like, well, no, he didn't actually eat on me because we were on a break. And it's like, if it felt like that to you, then maybe that's more important than like the on paper, you know, technicalities of break or no break.
Starting point is 00:33:47 I feel she just screwed herself because, like, she made her bed. and now she has to lie in it with him and hopefully he's there most nights because like... Yeah. She's like, she like, left her husband and everything. She's with this guy. She's like, oh, and you didn't want to like leave him after you...
Starting point is 00:34:02 Because like she's trying to make it work with him, but I'm like, she does not seem happy. Right. Like it feels like especially because the situation with her ex is not fully settled, that she can't... It would be too kind of... I don't know if it's humiliating or too sort of personally scary to acknowledge.
Starting point is 00:34:20 that the situation that you are now in is also probably not going to work out. It's almost like I would respect. She's like, oh, wow. Like if she had a moment where she's like, oh, I really only went to Ryan just because I was so done with my marriage. Yeah. And I just like knew I needed a change. And now I just need to like figure out what I really want versus that she's like,
Starting point is 00:34:39 I left my man because Ryan is the love of my life. We also, so I watched this on Peacock and they're putting the never before seen versions on peacock for this. So the one thing that I thought was. interesting. I mean, most of it's stupid. We got to see, like, you know, Heather's daughter practicing driving and, you know, being bad at it. But when Tamara and Jen get Froyo earlier in the episode, which, you know, love to see Froyo making a comeback. So at the beginning of that scene, there was like a never-before-scene clip before they get into talking about the like Jen and Ryan
Starting point is 00:35:12 and whatever, where Jen says that Will, her current but ex-husband is in town currently. And Tamara's like asking if he's staying at the house and how is that? She's like, yeah, you know, it's tough. And Tamara's like, is he like staying in the, in your room? And she was like, yeah, well, like, we don't have another room. So like, yeah, he's like in the bed and stuff. And it's weird because like, even though you were married for all these years, it's weird now. And it's like, they are.
Starting point is 00:35:42 And she's like, yeah, you know, we've talked about how we need to like figure something else out. But like TBD kind of. I don't know why this was cut out of the episode. because I found it really like kind of jarringly interesting. Yeah, and I feel a lot of people would have reactions because also like, girl, you live in the OC, like you don't have another bed for him or a couch? Right. Like.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Also, sir, you don't want to get a hotel room? Or I thought there was, I thought there was some arrangement where like when he was at the house, she went and stayed with Ryan or something. Oh, yeah. But to hear her kind of express that that is still like a current thing that is weird, it's like, yeah, you're really in the thick of a lot of different. You got shit to work out. Tough things happening.
Starting point is 00:36:21 And I like Jen. I think she has good housewife potential. I think this this personal life storyline has been really, you know, interesting to kind of pick apart this season. And I'm like, girl, I want you to like be good. I know. It's like, and I don't think she's, I don't think she's quite there. And it's hard. I think she's faking it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:36:42 She's faking a little bit. And I feel the only person who like actually seems to like give her a little like genuine in care is Taylor Armstrong sometimes and Gina every other day. Yeah. Like I don't really think she has a lot of girls in her corner. Right, because I think Tamara's relationship with Jen, while they are, you know, on paper, working on it and mending it, I don't think they're in like an actual, you know, space of, like, caring friend yet.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I feel like Tamara's like, come on over, just so she can, like, yell at her again or something else. Right. And even Jen, when she says this episode, that she's like, you know, Timber and I have been friends for a long time. So, you know, I'm never going to, like, she can throw a napkin at me. And like, I'm still, you know, I am a little cautious. A wall's up a little bit. But like, you know, she's somebody that I really care about.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And I'm like, I dread lightly. I just want to hug her. Yeah. But I, yeah, you're right that I don't think, you know, people like Emily and Heather and Shannon haven't really connected with her enough to be like separate. resources for her. I feel right now Heather and Chandan are like,
Starting point is 00:37:50 who? Like they're not like clocking her at all. It's very like Kenya and Courtney still where she's like, well, we can't be close because I don't know you. It's like no girl, that's what we're trying, like you guys are trying to get to know each other now.
Starting point is 00:38:03 And it's like we're in the circle of friends. Circle of Friends. It's like episode 12, I think by now. I did miss Heather this week. Or not Heather, Taylor. I miss Taylor. I know.
Starting point is 00:38:12 She brings a lot of fun to it. And I feel she's perfect in a friend role. Yeah. It is, it's funny though, that she's only been on the show for like six episodes. And already when she's not in an episode, I like notice it.
Starting point is 00:38:22 You miss it. I mean, she's that OG brain, she knows how to keep things going, keep it fun. Yeah. And I just, I'm happy that she's so happy.
Starting point is 00:38:28 I'm happy that she's so happy. I hope she continues to be happy. I know. Nothing but the best for Taylor. Please. She's like, my ex-wives club was good. Meanwhile,
Starting point is 00:38:37 I mean, Heather said in an interview this week that she would, she wants Gretchen to come back. And Gretchen's, you know, in development hell on her girls trip season, And it's like, we got to get the ball rolling here. Yeah, Heather, I also love to be on TV.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I actually filmed a show. Yeah, Heather. I actually thought I would be back. How do you feel about Crutchin? Just quickly. I'm really curious to see what her girls' trip energy is like. I think I need to determine that because, like, from what I'm like, oh. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Because I think when she left OC, it was a little bit like, okay, we're good on that for now. Exactly. And now she's in a different place. I mean, she is a mother. She and Slade have been together for a long time now. That's true. Like, I'm curious. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, like, Taylor I'm trying, like, I'm back.
Starting point is 00:39:24 I'm back. Oh, God. I would also like a taste. I feel it's very bold. I feel like Tamara was, like, a special case for her to come back full time because she also was just gone from two years or so. Any other thing, you got a friend of test the wall. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Like, the names that come up the most are Gretchen and Alexis. And I'm, I'm intrigued by both of those possibilities, but I'm also not like, Like, yes, give them oranges now. I'm also kind of like, I feel like we've seen with the new Roney. Like, new people are fun. Like, let's just try to throw in some more new people to find. Yeah. I think that, like, Tamara coming back was smart.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Heather coming back, I think, has proven to be smart. And I think, like, with Vicky coming back, it's like, I am happy to see her again. Mm-hmm. And I think with Tamara and Shannon both on the show, it would, it's kind of, of the, Vicky is the elephant in the room. But, like, I don't think Vicky is the future of O.C. No, because I feel like it's like you were saying, they both Tamara and Heather bring back,
Starting point is 00:40:25 like Tamara is always starting drama, always like hot-headed throwing stuff. Heather brings, like, that luxury we love. And she's also good less, because the last season she was like the main focal person. She's just so good at, like, reacting to things or saying things that, like, people are just like, Heather, that's, what are you doing? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:44 So they both fit in. very well together. I don't really know what we what we're missing that Vicky would have. No. I mean, that like crusty old man, that's what we're missing. And her like see through or like her crotchless pan or whatever she said? I'm very happy for her.
Starting point is 00:40:59 You know, yeah. Well, I'm happy for Vicky and I'm happy always to have you back on the show. Danny. So happy to be.
