Mention It All - Who Was the MVP of BravoCon 2025? (Plus RHOSLC & RHOC)

Episode Date: November 21, 2025

Dylan is back from a whirlwind weekend in Vegas, and he wastes no time getting into all the important details from BravoCon 2025. He unpacks which panels delivered (and which ones flopped), which cast... needs to up their energy levels, and all the announcements for what’s coming in 2026. Then, it’s time for a host of important legal updates, from Jen Shah’s updated prison release plans to Wendy and Eddie’s comical (alleged) aliases. Later, he recaps this week’s episode of RHOSLC (still cringing at Britani and Jared) and part three of the RHOC reunion (where do we even go from here?). Starting point is 00:00:46 Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast. I am truly so thrilled to be here recording on this Friday morning because we have so much to catch up on. I am back from BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas. and I will live to tell all the tales this morning. We're going to unpack some of the biggest announcements from the weekend, some developments on the ground, maybe a little bit of behind the scenes,
Starting point is 00:01:13 things that I saw, things that I felt, things that I was hearing, you know, just putting my ear to the pavement, putting my eyes to the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, Nevada, where 160 Bravo Lebrides were tearing up the town. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about some other updates in the in the bravo legal space.
Starting point is 00:01:33 We've got an episode of Salt Lake City. We've got a Southern Charm premiere. I've started watching Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I don't know how much we'll get to that. The OC reunion wrapped up last night. I don't even think I'm going to talk about Potomac because I got to be honest, this week's episode was a little boring. But there's a lot going on.
Starting point is 00:01:51 There's a lot going on. And as always, a quick reminder, if you're not subscribed to our YouTube channel, YouTube.com slash at Bravo by Betches. make sure that you're subscribed there. Our Tuesday episodes are always available on video. We had Angel from Real House Lives of Potomac on earlier this week, and I just want to give a little plug. I know that people are not loving Angel this season. And I, look, if somebody comes on the podcast, I am not going to say all of a sudden 100%
Starting point is 00:02:17 I think they're having an amazing season. I think Angel's struggling a little bit, but I did have a really interesting conversation with her. And so I think even if you're sort of agnostic to mixed negative about Angel's performance thus far on the season, I do think there's some interesting info to be gleaned from our conversation. I mean, she was lovely in person. I, you know, I always give people, you know, a fair shake, I think. So go check it out. I mean, I think, you know, a first season housewife is always going to have a little bit of a bumpy road.
Starting point is 00:02:52 And yeah, go listen to that. go watch that if you haven't. But without further ado, we got to talk about BravoCon. BravoCon in Vegas. It's the second time they've done it there. And before we even start, I just have to say the whole team that puts on this event works their ass off and they really knock it out of the park. It just, as much as I am not a Vegas person, I have only been to Vegas in my life three times. Those have been in the last three years, all for Bravo related reasons. I am not spending my free time in Vegas. I am not spending my money on Vegas. BravoCon makes sense in Vegas. It's the right place for it. They have found the right venues.
Starting point is 00:03:34 It just is like a really good event. And I have been seeing, I always tell you guys, I am not the person to ask if you want like the average Bravo con goers experience. I spent a lot of time in the press room this year. I am, you know, I know a lot of people. It's just not, I'm never going to tell you guys whether it's worth it to spend your money or if you should pay for X, Y, and Z. But I've been seeing this week on TikTok especially a lot of people's reviews coming up, people making videos of I went to BravoCon. Here's how it was. Was it worth it? What did I pay?
Starting point is 00:04:11 Yada, yada, yada. And I've watched a lot of these videos. And these will be videos with like three likes on them, zero comments. Like I'm just curious truly what people's experiences were and, you know, kind of how, how, how, how. comparable it felt from lots of people's perspectives. And across the board, for the most part, people had a really good time. And so I, hats off to everyone putting on this event. And also, hats off to everybody attending because the vibes all weekend were just so positive and fun and exciting. And every panel I went to, everybody that I met, I mean, so many, so many of
Starting point is 00:04:48 you guys came up and, you know, talked about listening to the podcast or following Bravo. by Betches. And truly, I mean, I love that so much because it's a genuine connection. And whether you're going through something hard and you're listening for a laugh or whether, you know, you're writing a thesis on housewives and, you know, you want to hear what these women have to say, just truly I enjoy being there so much. And I don't think that would be the case if all the fans in attendance weren't just like totally on the same wavelength and having a great time. Throughout the weekend. There were, there were some big announcements. I feel like people were sort of like midway through the weekend. It felt like people were kind of like, I thought there was going to be more news.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Or like, what? They haven't announced anything. And look, there were some things that we kind of had on the docket going into the weekend that we didn't get big updates on. I think the number one is New Jersey, which we'll talk about the Melissa and Teresa of it all in a few minutes. But there's no cast announcement. They're not filming, you know, from everybody that I talked to, over the weekend, which includes some of the ladies themselves, some of the people that are in their orbit, let's say, they don't know what the fuck is going on. I always have a lovely time talking to Lexi,
Starting point is 00:06:08 who's like Margaret's kind of like mini-me business partner, friend, assistant, whatever. They don't know what the fuck is happening. She was like, well, you know, they've talked to every wealthy woman in New Jersey. And they've even done, you know, they've done interviews. and casting and, you know, then nothing happens. And so, like, they're, they've been working on it, but nobody's signing contracts. Nobody knows what's happening. So that was kind of the biggest thing that didn't happen. Also with New York, there was so much chatter last week about what was
Starting point is 00:06:42 going to happen with New York. And there was going to be a big announcement. And you guys, it's going to be this hybrid between the old and the new. And look at who's on the Bravo Con lineup. It's obviously going to be Aaron, Sy, and Jessel, and then Dorinda, Luann, Sonia, and Carol. That's who's at BravoCon. They're going to do a big announcement. What could be more perfect? You guys, that was fake. It was fake.
Starting point is 00:07:04 And I'm not saying that I had no, I'm not saying that I knew 100% it was fake. But in hindsight, I think that I don't know if the people who organize these events and are, you know, overseeing all of the talent and like the booking and stuff, I don't know. they realize how much people are going to read into every little thing. Because you guys, we're, we, I use we, we, we the Bravo community, we're kind of on par with the Swifties in terms of how we're looking at those Easter eggs. We're like, so there's a Bravo Besties panel at 1215 on Saturday, and I noticed that these two people are paired together on the panel. But then later that day, there's another panel and these two people are paired together. So if A plus B equals C, then the thing with the other panel has to be this clue that these people are working together.
Starting point is 00:07:56 I don't think they think about this stuff that much. They're like, okay, who's on a show? Who do people really like? Who maybe has something coming up? Like, yeah, like, is she going to come? Fine. Cool. Invite Carol. Carol has been all over. She's been on a TikTok live, which like, God, Carol, why is Carol Radswell on TikTok live? But she has been saying she's not coming back to housewives. Not even as a friend. She's like, Carol, actually, you know, she was there all weekend. She seemed like a trooper. She was like wearing jeans at BravoCon, which like, I kind of love that.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Like nobody wears jeans to BravoCon. I mean, the Bravo Leberties. Like normal people wear whatever you want. But like, Carol was on TikTok Live being like, I forgot how much this is. How much drama there is. How the outfits, the fights, the just like personalities. I think Carol like went on watch what happens live over the summer. and then have like a couple, you know, fun moments throughout the fall.
Starting point is 00:08:54 She got dinner with Aaron Leachie. They kissed, I think, weird stuff. And she was like, yeah, I'll go to Bravo Khan and forgot that she actually doesn't enjoy this. So nothing is happening with Rony, except Andy did confirm at his Ask Andy panel on Sunday that casting is complete for the next season of Roney and that they will start filming soon. I think he said in the next few weeks. it seems like that is most likely going to be Aaron, Sye, and Jessel, who are all there this weekend with some more probably new ladies that we haven't seen on Bravo before. Now, is this the right way forward?
Starting point is 00:09:32 I honestly can't say. I don't know. I mean, I do think that the hybrid thing that people thought was happening would not work as well as people imagine it would. like actually think about it. Actually think about it. Dorinda and Sai, what on earth do they have to speak about? And I know there's like that inkling where it's like,
Starting point is 00:09:55 oh my God, it would be so fun to watch Derinda put these women in their place. And it's like, yeah, but that's like one fight. That can't be the whole show. You can't build a show on the idea that there's like, I'm up here and you're down here a la Kelly Ben-Simon. Like that only works when it's like in one person's head. but if all the fans watching the show are like, oh yeah, destroy Sigh over and over and over again,
Starting point is 00:10:21 that's not like a fun show to watch. It wouldn't be. And even if you think it would be, I promise, that's not how Housewives should work. But so the updates with New York and New Jersey are that there are not really many updates to be seen. But we do have some more important things. There was a Potomac midseason trailer that was pretty exciting, mostly because it reveals that there is going to be a sit down. Andy goes to Karen Hugar's house and sits down with her after her release from jail. We get a tiny, tiny little sneak peek of that. Karen Hugar also at BravoCon, by the way,
Starting point is 00:10:56 she wasn't on the Potomac panel, which I guess makes sense because she's not on this season. And she didn't do press. So in the in the press room, the way it works is that throughout the weekend, basically they have a schedule where each Bravo Liberty has like an hour time slot at some point throughout the weekend that they're supposed to be on the carpet in the press room doing interviews. And so almost everyone who was attending BravoCon did their press time slot at least, you know, to some amount. Some of the only people that weren't doing press that were there this weekend in an official capacity, Karen Huger and Wendy SFO. So Wendy also was at BravoCon, she attended the Potomac panel where she, you know, sort of gave an official comment
Starting point is 00:11:44 kind of thing on her legal situation, which we'll also talk about in a few minutes. But she did not do press. Karen did not do press. Karen, though, when she came out on stage at the Bravo's, first of all, she was wearing a floor-length white gown looking like a literal fucking angel, and she got a standing ovation. Now, look, I think that. Of course, DUIs are bad and actions should have consequences. But the way that this audience was like rabid to see Karen back in the fray, that is powerful.
Starting point is 00:12:24 And I think, you know, if you think it's distasteful that she's going to come back or whatever, like, that's fine. I don't, I don't have an issue with that. But it was kind of wild to see, like, how much people are, like, high. to see Karen. And, you know, that's not always the case for somebody who, you know, has been on the show a long time, but has their issues, like, Karen is, like, beloved. And I think that is, like, really palpable when you're there. And she did, she did do some photo ops and stuff throughout the weekend. So she was around and people were just, like, thrilled to see her, which I was not necessarily quite expecting.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Now, the other big announcement at the Bravo's was that Vicky came on stage with Andy. And he offered her her orange for season 20 and she accepted. She is sticking to the story that she was completely shocked by this. If she wasn't, you know, we'll never know. But what's interesting about this is that obviously the OC reunion just finished airing this week, they have not, as far as I can tell, actually like cast season 20 yet. normally kind of the process, you know, they tape the reunion, they get through that airing, and then there's kind of a nebulous period of, you know, a few weeks, a few months, it depends on the show,
Starting point is 00:13:46 whether they're, you know, really excited to get back into production or whether they need to take a while. But usually casting doesn't really start for the next season until after the prior season has completely wrapped. And I actually, I had a great conversation with Shane Simpson on Saturday at BravoCon. Shane, by the way, I met him for the first time at BravoCon in 2023. And he is, I will say it, I mentioned it all listener. So Shane, if you're listening, love you, baby. No, he is truly, like, one of the kindest people I have met in this whole sphere, just like so nice and thoughtful and, like,
Starting point is 00:14:29 just a pleasure to talk to. But it was very clear from my conversation with Shane that, like, he and Emily are kind of like, we'll see what happens. You never know. Maybe we'll be back. Maybe we won't. Like, this show is not cast yet. So the fact that they are leading with Vicky and this high profile return, I think, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:51 for season 20, I think it makes sense. I have been pretty Vicky neutral over the last few years. I am not the biggest fan of her. personally. I, of course, recognize her iconic contributions to the genre of housewives and reality TV. And so I do think that however you feel about Vicky, A, it does kind of feel correct for her to be back on season 20. And B, that moment at the Bravo's was kind of genius because it just worked. It felt right.
Starting point is 00:15:28 It felt like the correct moment for it. And then she carried around that fucking orange the entire weekend afterward, like literally like death grip clutching that orange. And I think it was a real orange. I did see it pretty up close. I think it was a real orange. I assumed it was like a foam piece of fruit. I think it was a real orange. But she, you know, Vicki's back.
Starting point is 00:15:49 We'll see who else comes back. And I think that's going to be really interesting now because there are some big question marks after this. season, you know, Tamara has not had an easy season. I don't know if it feels like fun for her to come back. But I do think like, on the other hand, if you have the opportunity to have the Trace Amigos together for season 20 one more time, like, how do you pass that up? that, I mean, if you're thinking of season 20 as like a celebration of 20 years of OC, the trace amigas are like one of the most central pieces of that, assuming that Heather comes back.
Starting point is 00:16:35 I think that she also is kind of like the other biggest pillar of this franchise. You know, Katie had really positive response at BravoCon. I think that, you know, that might be something to follow to, you know, Katie, obviously, the women were really hard on her this season and she stopped filming because of it. But after the reunion and after seeing the fan response to the show, I could really see some of the women on the cast kind of reevaluating their relationship and their treatment of Katie because they know that maybe it's best for the show if she can come back and they can kind of move forward. I think that people like Heather, people like Gina, you know, maybe Jen Padranti, if she's on the show next season, I could see them all sort of like finding a way back to a version of a friendship with Katie. Maybe for strategic reasons, but sometimes that's okay. O.C., interestingly, did not have a cast panel at BravoCon.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Sometimes they do this, you know, whether it's too toxic or, you know, their season's just about to finish. I don't know exactly why they made that decision, but they did not have a panel. I want to talk about the big announcements that we did get, though. Real Housewives of Rhode Island, we knew this was happening, and we got our first look at the season, this like Super Tees trailer, a cast announcement. I think it looks pretty fun. I obviously, you know, it's a two-minute trailer, you know, we'll see. I'm not trying to get ahead of my skis on this one, but it looks like it could be really fun.
Starting point is 00:18:13 it definitely is like a Jersey-ish vibe. I've seen some people complaining online that are from Rhode Island or have, you know, spent time in Rhode Island, that they're like, oh, they're trying to show on the trailer like Newport vibes and like these like rich coastal sheik houses. But like the women on this show actually live in like less, less chic part of Rhode Island. I think Cranston is where like some of these women live. And so basically they're like, oh, they're like, they're trying to make it look like it's like bougie, but these women aren't bougie. And I'm like, isn't that kind of textbook housewives? Like, look at those fucking houses from the early seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey. I mean, I feel like the whole concept of Coda to Casa, it's like, yeah, that's not where like, I mean, it's nice, of course.
Starting point is 00:19:02 But like, that's, it's a specific vibe. I think people forget that it's like, yeah, like, six rich Newport women who are like married to billionaires. and, you know, live in their mansions on a rock outcropping probably aren't going to bring good drama to reality TV. So I'm not trying to, like, defend this show that I have seen exactly zero minutes of, but, like, I think it looks fun. And Ashley Yacanetti, Heban, I don't know how to say this, Haybin, Habon, the Bachelor Girlie, she's on the show, she's crying in the trailer.
Starting point is 00:19:38 I'm not a big Bachelor person, literally the one thing I know about Ashley I, from back in the day is that she cries a lot and she is full cry angle vibes in the trailer. So that's interesting. And then Dolores is fully a friend of. I knew that she was filming with these women. I didn't know that she was going to be like in the cast. So that's exciting to see the woman Liz that she's a friend of literally looks exactly like Dolores.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Like it's a little spooky. And to my knowledge, no, they are not related. They just look like that. The other big, you know, upcoming show that we got a trailer for is the Valley. Persian style, which is premiering the first week of January. It's really soon. And I'm interested to see it. I don't have a lot of feelings about the show itself yet, but can I just say I, for whatever reason, it makes me so happy to see Reza and MJ and Gigi at BravoCon getting the love, getting the flowers. I feel like they are, I feel like they don't always get the props that
Starting point is 00:20:39 they deserve for being like in that like OG Bravo era when they were and like the the amount of seasons that they had and how consistent their show was for such a long time. They really have been in this game and like earned those stripes and I'm excited to see them kind of get this like second wind and we'll see. I hope the show's good. I mean the original valley was a fun surprise. So hopefully I don't know about the new people yet. Like we'll see. But that's coming early next year. And then we got another big announcement about the future of Real Housewives' Ultimate Girls Trip, which of course has been dormant for a couple years.
Starting point is 00:21:21 You might have heard there was a season that they filmed in Morocco that we never got to see and we're never going to. But, you know, we saw Roney Legacy. Now, was that two or three years ago? I don't even know. But that was the last season. It seemed like for all intents and purposes that this franchise had been shelved. two years ago, I'm being told. Thank you, producer Joe. But, no, it was always like, okay, so what, what? Brandy Glanville fucked it, and now we can't
Starting point is 00:21:50 have nice things ever again. But we got an announcement that Girls Trip is coming back with a little bit of a different vibe. It's going to be Real Housewives ultimate road trip. And next year, to mark the 20th anniversary of Real Housewives, a group of ladies, we don't know who yet, are going to be road tripping across the country. to all different real housewives cities, and they're going to be, you know, visiting iconic spots and meeting up with other iconic ladies. Again, there's no casting announced for this,
Starting point is 00:22:22 so I'm literally like, iconic spots, iconic ladies, more iconic ladies. There's going to be so many ladies. I feel like I'm like trying to get people to come into like a strip club. I'm like, there's girls in here. No, but I don't know what this show is going to be like. I'm excited to see it. It does sound like they're really trying to leave.
Starting point is 00:22:39 lean into this 20th anniversary of Housewives, which is, you know, 2026 they did. A special watch what happens live taping that's 20 years of Housewives. That one was fun. I got to go to that taping. Obviously, Vicky coming back for OCC's season 20, this ultimate road trip show. I hope all of this is a lot of fun. I, you know, I'm kind of, the expectations are whatever at this point, but I hope it's good. We got really quick peaks of the next seasons of Summerhouse and NextGen NYC.
Starting point is 00:23:13 You know, just like those little quick scenes that they give us sometimes where it's like funny but not really telling us anything about the storylines or the drama. So that was kind of like, you know, it was nice to see. I was surprised there was nothing about Ladies of London. I know that that show is done filming. I have heard through the grapevine that it was coming like. like soon-ish. So I kind of thought BravoCon would make sense to give us some big tease. The only thing, it was weird, they were like, throughout the event space, there are all of these different photo setups that are like, you know, there'll be one where you can like stand in the,
Starting point is 00:23:50 like, Salt Lake City Bermuda dinner and like pose with them. There's one where you can like put your face into like, I need Andy and a camera meme, like a face and hole kind of vibe. And there was like one little photo op setup that was Ladies of London themed. And it just said like ladies of London coming 2026. And I'm like, okay, so clearly, like, they know that we know that it's coming enough to, like, reference it. But I was surprised that there was just, like, no news, no update.
Starting point is 00:24:18 It seemed like a missed opportunity. But I don't know what's happening with that. But that was kind of the news. But the big, the news that wasn't an announcement, but rather a slow rollout throughout the weekend, was Melissa and Teresa. The Gorgas and the Judices, is, you know, World War, whatever, coming to an end or coming to a, you know, a ceasefire,
Starting point is 00:24:42 I guess you could say. Look, so this is something that prior to BravoCon, we were sort of getting whispers of, you know, I think Teresa had mentioned that she was like open to it. And, you know, we heard that there had been a conversation. And it was kind of like, okay, so what's going on? Is there going to be some big announcement at BravoCon? Are they like soft launching that they're getting along again? Is this just for the cameras?
Starting point is 00:25:08 What's the deal? And throughout the weekend, I don't know if this was, if you could feel this like at home through social media, but it almost felt like throughout the weekend being there, there was like this narrative kind of being like rolled out step by step where it's like, okay. On, you know, we've heard that they've talked a little bit. they broke the ice a little bit. On Friday, you know, they start doing press and they're saying, oh, we, you know, we had a conversation.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Oh, we had them over for dinner. We've, last week, you know, we've talked. Okay, now, you know, Teresa and Joe are taking a photo together at, you know, one of their, like, merch booths. Okay, we're getting a little bit more momentum. Friday night was the bravos. And that's when on the Bravo TV Instagram, there is a photo posted, just like a, they don't post just like, really.
Starting point is 00:26:02 random photos on the Bravo TV Instagram, but we get a photo of Melissa and Teresa together at the Bravo's smiling for the picture. And this was like, this was like the shot heard around the world, truly. And it's just like so hard not to feel cynical about it. And I think that that definitely from everything I've seen and heard, like the overwhelming response is people are kind of like rolling their eyes and being like, well, somebody wants back on the show. Like, it's, it's, there's no way to see that and not think that. And then throughout the weekend, and by the way, that photo, I love this. That photo of Melissa and Teresa is like pinned to the top of the Bravo TV Instagram
Starting point is 00:26:45 profile right now. I'm like, that is how big of a deal this is, that they're literally like, okay, we have three slots to really like put something front and center. It's probably going to be like some promo thing, you know, probably like the new episode of Salt Lake and then like Melissa and Teresa smack dab in the middle right at the top. I mean, they're exactly who they think they are. This franchise is Melissa and Teresa. And I think they know that.
Starting point is 00:27:10 And I think that, you know, throughout the weekend, then we were getting more, you know, more of them talking, more of them, you know, they're really like launching this narrative that they are getting along. And while there is not a concrete update on the show, I think that they probably feel the window closing a little bit of if Real Housewives of New Jersey is going to come back with this prior cast at all, the clock is ticking because it's now been a year and a half since they've finished filming for the last time. They didn't have a reunion for their last season. I think that, you know, final, you know, last supper dinner aired maybe like August of
Starting point is 00:27:58 2024. It's been over, over a year now since there was any kind of actual momentum. Yeah, there's been, they've been casting, they've maybe done some test filming here and there. Nothing's going on. There's no Bravo Con announcement. And I think that Melissa and Teresa are both business women. I think that they are smart.
Starting point is 00:28:20 and I think that they probably know and probably are hearing from people in their lives that it's like, look, this time is going to keep rolling on. And either there is going to be a version of this show with you on it or there's going to be a version of the show without you on it. And if you want the version to be with you, the number one thing that you can do is show the powers that be that there is a path forward for this show. show that isn't just the same, you know, stalemate that we've had for the last however many years. And so I don't want to say that I don't think their makeup is authentic. Because I think at the end of the day, they're each other's family. I, you know, they've talked a bunch about for their seven kids between them and those kids grow up as cousins and they haven't been able to have those relationships. They're a real family. And I want them to be. You know, I want them to
Starting point is 00:29:20 getting along. I, you know, I want them to be, you know, in each other's lives. But I do think that there is undeniably a strategic element here, and it would be like a little naive to not acknowledge that. So I don't know. I mean, I think I want to be, I feel like some people are just like, this is fake, who gives a fuck? To me, I'm a little bit more in the middle where I'm like, is it strategic, probably, but do I hope that it also is like genuinely, a good move in their lives? I hope so. And I do hope that we get Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Starting point is 00:29:57 I want it back. I, you know, seeing Margaret this weekend, seeing Dolores. Oh my God. I mean, Dolores, like, winner of the traders, friend of on Rhode Island. She needs to be on a fucking show. She's, I know she's busy getting engaged at the Apple store. I know that she's, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:12 hanging out with the ladies in Rhode Island. She needs to be holding a fucking meatball again. We need Jersey back. And I do think that this weekend probably was a step in the right direction, even if you're kind of rolling your eyes at the Melissa and Teresa stuff. Good sleep is everything. That's why Ali's science back support is made with a blend of melatonin and L-D-D-Nine for both kiddos and grown-ups. So when your mind won't switch off, you've got something that can help.

But Redfin isn't just built for endless browsing. It's built to help you find and own a home.

You guys, the bells of the ball this weekend, though, and this is not a surprise. Salt Lake City, people are absolutely obsessed with this show. And so am I. I mean, we've all seen it. We all know.
Starting point is 00:31:39 But truly, it was so tangible being at that event this weekend that nobody is doing it like them right now. And you know what? The other castes know it too. because Tamara has talked about, oh, I want to be on Salt Lake. And then Portia, at Watch What Happens Live. Andy kind of asked her, you know, you guys just finished filming your next season. You know, what are, you know, how are you feeling? Tease it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:32:09 And Portia said, Salt Lake City, we're coming for you. We're coming for the crown. Because Salt Lake City has the crown right now and everybody knows it. And that Salt Lake City panel, it was on Sunday, which historically, Every year at BravoCon, I feel like Sunday is like a little bit lower energy. A lot of people, even if they have a three-day pass, will sort of leave at some point during the day on Sunday. You know, you don't want to take another day off of work. You're maybe, you know, getting a red-eye flight back to the East Coast.
Starting point is 00:32:40 By like Sunday afternoon, it does feel like the herd has kind of thinned out a little bit. And so the Salt Lake panel was like Sunday at 1230 or something. And I feel like that was the ticket of the. weekend because the way that Bravo Khan is set up, there's a few different stages and they're all different sizes. So there's a couple that are like smaller stages like where Meredith Marks was DJing at 930 in the morning on Friday. That's this like outdoor kind of like, you know, vibey stage. And then there's like the glam stage, which is like big but not huge. I think that's where like Southern hospitality had their panel and like some of the more like mash up ones.
Starting point is 00:33:19 But then there's the gold stage. And the gold stage is like the big ticket items. And this is, first of all, I looked at, I was like, bored, you know, in an Uber or something. So I was, of course, looking up the Wikipedia page of the Caesar's Forum where Robicon is held, because I'm psychotic. And first of all, it's a beautiful convention center. I'm like, I'm like, selling, I'm like, it's a beautiful convention center. They got Chantalillas. They got carpet. Um, you know, but this is where the gold stage is. It's the largest pillarless ballroom in the world. So it is just like fucking massive. It's a, the biggest, room you've ever seen in your life, probably literally the biggest room you've ever seen in your
Starting point is 00:33:57 life. And it is just like a sea of chairs. And they have the VIP seating that's like the whole kind of front middle section. And then that's roped off. And then there's GA essentially on every side for just like a football field. It's a, I think there's like 4,000 seats or something in this room when it's all set up. The press, so there was like a little reserve section for press that was like in the front but far off to the side like to the to the side of where the VIP was so that was like where I was my vantage point for most of the weekend but at most of the panels in this room it doesn't really get full which is a good thing it's not I don't mean to be shady that it's like oh like Southern Charm couldn't fill their panel there is plenty of seating
Starting point is 00:34:44 for everybody who wants to come in and watch which was not the case a few years ago when they did BravoCon in New York where people were like ambushing lines to get seats for So it's nice that you can kind of come and go. And for a lot of these panels, there would be obviously a lot of people sitting at the front of the VIP, but then there would be kind of like a bit of an empty strip in the back of VIP before the GA section started. So like it would sometimes be like, oh, there's a lot of people in GA, but it doesn't look that full because there's that empty, whatever. You've seen seats before. Salt Lake City, fucking full. Like to the rafters. There was. you know, it was just like absolutely packed, just a sea of people. And you could see, so where the press section was, was, you know, right next to kind of the far side of VIP. And for most of the panels at the last minute, there would be like people, you know, people's kind of like entourages, like friends and family and like some makeup artists and assistants and people like that. And also some of the Bravo team, like the, you know, the publicist for that show or like,
Starting point is 00:35:52 somebody else on the like comms team would come in at the last minute and just sort of like pop a squat in that like side of the VIP because it usually there was like some empty seats over there for the salt lake panel there was not a seat to be had so some of the some of the like crew i was sitting like directly in front of like john barlow because that like friends and family kind of group the only place that they could sit coming in at the last minute was in the press section which thankfully, you know, I was like big enough that I didn't have trouble getting a seat. But so it was so funny because I guess it was John Barlow's birthday. And like I don't know that, but plenty of people that go to BravoCon do because like you guys are crazy lovingly.
Starting point is 00:36:36 But so it's like we're waiting for the panel to start. And all of a sudden people are just singing happy birthday to John Barlow. And he's like three feet behind me standing up like waving for the camera. It's just like the craziest environment to be in. But all the publicists and stuff had to stand off to the side of where we were sitting because there were truly no seats at the Salt Lake panel. It's crazy. But overall, like the entire weekend, there is nobody who is getting more love and more adoration from that crowd than Mary M. Cosby. She is, she's the queen right now.
Starting point is 00:37:17 And it is so wild to think about that two or three years ago, three or four years ago. Mary Cosby was off the show. Mary Cosby was like polarizing. And now she walks into BravoCon and is like Madonna. Mary Madonna Cosby. She truly during the Salt Lake panel, it was hosted by Casey and Danielle from Bitchess, who did a great job. They actually, I think they had a hard job because with Salt Lake. it's airing right now. They're taping the reunion soon. And so they really didn't want the panel to be
Starting point is 00:37:54 focused on the current season because they want to save stuff for the reunion. It's not ideal, but it's understandable. And so the way that they did this Salt Lake panel was they basically made it a clip show where they would talk for a few minutes and then show like an iconic, funny moment from Salt Lake City or a dramatic moment, high body count hair, the reality of Montese dinner in Bermuda, you know, Mary, you know, talking about the farts, like stuff like that. And then they would kind of like chat about it for a few minutes, you know, go back and forth a little bit, then go into another clip, all from past seasons. And there are a lot of shows where this type of format would completely suck the air out of the room, where the cast just like wouldn't have
Starting point is 00:38:39 enough fun banter or the moments themselves wouldn't be like iconic enough to really get people excited because it would be like, oh, I want to see them fight. Why are we watching clips we've already seen before? But I can tell you, watching all of those Salt Lake moments in a room packed with like 4,000 people with all the women on stage, watching them along with us and reacting to them. It was so much fun. Just like the perfect energy, the perfect vibe. It wasn't, it was light and fun and, you know, a little bit shady and a little bit fun. You know, Bronwyn was reading Brittany, you know, about her, you know, tired read about the costumes. I'm sure you saw that, like on TikTok or whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:23 It was perfect. And when they were kind of like going around to all the women at the front at the beginning of the panel, everybody gets, you know, cheers, applause, whatever. You know, people, people love their Bravo Labs. But Mary Cosby literally like stop the show, full, like, thunderous. applause and then chanting. Mary, Mary, Mary, 4,000 people. It's like she is performing at the Super Bowl. And this happened multiple times throughout the weekend where she was just getting like such an overwhelming amount of just like love. And you can tell for her that this is, I don't
Starting point is 00:40:03 think that she was fully prepared for that level of being like the star. And I don't know. I mean, watching this week's episode of Salt Lake City, I can, I mean, like, are we joining the cult? I kind of feel like we're joining the cult. And I allegedly, like, I don't know. But it was really actually interesting. I talked about this with a few people, you know, like journalists friends and things like that last week that they dropped. TLC is doing this documentary about Mary, you know, allegedly being a cult leader. I think it comes out in January. But they dropped the announcement about this. and the trailer the day before BravoCon started, which I am sure was strategic because it's like, oh yeah, people are watching Salt Lake every week and now there's this big Bravo thing happening this weekend. How can we get a little bit of attention? We're going to drop this right when she's going to BravoCon.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Didn't make a fucking difference. Nobody cared. Nobody was talking about it. Nobody was thinking about it. And I actually feel like if they had come out with this documentary three years ago, I think it would have been big news. I think people would have been dragging her for it. And I don't know if we would have been seeing her back on housewives in this capacity.
Starting point is 00:41:20 But now it's almost like, girl, that ship has sailed. We heard the evidence and we moved on and now she's like the queen. And I'm not saying like, I'm not saying that I wouldn't necessarily ever like be presented with information that would make me feel differently. obviously you never know what's going to happen in the future. But, like, right now, Mary Cosby is kind of untouchable. And it was just, it was like fun seeing her this weekend. And I mean, like, we had her on the show just a month ago. I can tell you guys, it's like one of our best performing episodes ever.
Starting point is 00:41:59 Mary Cosby is like, she's doing it like nobody else right now. I will say it was tough to watch Brittany, just in general. But like, so on Friday, we're at BravoCon and I'm hearing, oh, Brittany's here with her daughter. Isn't that so nice? And I'm like, wow, that's cool. Because last we saw on the show, Brittany is not doing a very convincing job of telling us or her daughter to her face that she gives the fuck about her. And I'm like, I don't know what's going to happen with that relationship. Tough to see.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Meanwhile, I'm like, oh, wow, that's so nice. like the fact that they could do this together, that she could be there for her this weekend. I kind of love that. And then who comes stomping into Vegas for the second half of the weekend, just ruining the vibes. Jared Osmond. Jared, okay, first of all, he's very tall in person, like a little bit off-putting. I'm like, you don't have to do all that. I saw him.
Starting point is 00:42:56 This is so stupid. On Monday morning, flying back to New York. I was at the airport in Vegas. and I was leaving the lounge to go to my gate. And he was in line for the lounge, waiting in line. I mean, he clearly doesn't have, you know, whatever, not that I do either, whatever. He was waiting in line. I saw him and I was like, L.O.L. Jared Osman.
Starting point is 00:43:18 And then I walked to my gate and who's on my flight, but Bronwyn. She was flying to New York for the Wicked Premier. And so I hadn't run into her all weekend, but she's been on the show before. You know, like she's, you know, very warm and friendly. So I saw Bronwyn at the gate and I go, guess who I just, I just saw Jared waiting in line for the lounge. She goes, tell him if they don't let him in, I'll get a black card again. I just love her.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Broadwind is so funny. But so Jared was there. Why? Because these people, they're at high school. They can't stay apart. They're 30-day separation. Who cares? But so, Brittany had Jared sitting front and center for the Salt Lake City panel.
Starting point is 00:43:59 And I'm not saying, not in any, like, press section, not with the rest of the husbands or whatever, or not the husbands, the very good friends as Brittany, it's just like, cut the act. But so Casey and Danielle are doing their hosting gig. They're like introducing all the ladies. And they're like, oh, and Jared Osmond is here. And Britney's like, yes, Jared is sitting right there. Jared stand up. He's right there.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Jared. First of all, she's holding the unicorn. I'm like, go get a fucking grip. But he stands up. And I've already told you, energy in the room, electric, seats full, 4,000 people. And suddenly 4,000 people are booing Jared Osmond. As he is standing up front and center, I just like, have there ever been two people who are less self-aware of like their bullshit? It is crazy.
Starting point is 00:44:54 I'm like, I would not show my face within a 50 mile radius of BravoCon if I were Jared Osmond. You look dumb. You look dumb. I will say there must be some exec at Build Bear who in the last three weeks is just like bewildered by how many of these purple unicorns they're selling all of a sudden. Because I saw, so Brittany had a uni. I know Casey had one because she pulled it out at the bravos. Like how many of these unicorns are floating around that if you press the leg, they say love you, good night, baby, you are loved. Good night, baby.
Starting point is 00:45:27 You are loved. Chills in a bad way. Okay, we're rattling through a couple more BravoCon items. We're going long today. We're not, oh, also we're taking next week off for Thanksgiving. So you're getting a bunch today because you're not getting anything next week. Sorry. So Salt Lake City, you know, top of the weekend.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Next Gen, NYC, I want to talk about because I think it's really interesting. They are currently in the midst of filming their second season. And they're talking about it a lot. You know, Andy's excited about it. it's clear that this show is really working for the network. And I think it's also really working for the fans because, you know, I enjoyed it. We talked about it when it was happening. It was a quick season over the summer, but there has been a lot of chatter about
Starting point is 00:46:15 NextGen coming back for a second season. Pretty much the whole cast is returning. We know that Ariana and Hudson have broken up and they're both on the show. Hudson could not make it to BravoCon. and that's the official line that I heard. So he was not there, but Ariana was asked about him. She says they're amicable and still able to film together. We'll see how that goes.
Starting point is 00:46:38 But what's really interesting is the cast of NextGen NYC was filming in Vegas for BravoCon. Now, we have had allusions to BravoCon on shows in the past. We've had storylines that kind of tie into stuff that happen. happened at BravoCon, never forget Erica Jane delivering the line about Doreet and PK. But to my knowledge, and I'm, you know, I have a lot of knowledge. We've never had a cast that like documents going to BravoCon as part of their season. And I think that this is fascinating and really exciting and really like it tells me that they are excited to do stuff with this cast.
Starting point is 00:47:27 to really, like, make, give this show a really good go. And I think that the network has so much excitement for it. And the fans have a lot of excitement for it. Actually, NextGen, interestingly enough, I was talking about kind of the energy on Sunday at BravoCon. NextGen had the last panel of the weekend. It was like Sunday at 4 p.m. I was on the fence about whether I was even going to stay for it because I was like, I'm tired. and I don't, you know, I don't know how great this panel is going to be.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Like, the thing with this cast is that they just like operate at a little bit of a different vibration level than most of the other people on Bravo. And that vibration level is lower. And all throughout the weekend, you know, I talked to a handful of them when they were doing press. And, you know, I saw, you know, I just seeing them around, taking photos of people, the way they talk on the panel, they just seem very low key. And, you know, I did this, I did this video on the press line where I was asking everybody to do that, like, trend of, like, who do you think is going to get the messiest this weekend? And people had a lot of fun with that. You can
Starting point is 00:48:46 watch the video. It's on Bravo by Matches. And I talked to Brooks. I talked to Gia. I talked to Amira. All of them were like so scared to give any kind of response. Like I feel like they're almost too media trained, if that makes sense, or too kind of like buttoned up in a way. And what I would love to see from this cast is like people are excited about it. People are rooting for it. People want to see it.
Starting point is 00:49:13 I would love them to break out of their shells a little bit and just like really go for it. because they're filming right now. I am excited to see the second season, but I'm like, I feel like these people need to like just be like a little more comfortable in the mess. And so that's my, that's my wish for season two of NextGen
Starting point is 00:49:34 because there's a lot of momentum and I want them to lean into it. I do want to talk about Vanderpump Rules because I watched the first half of the Vanderpump Rules premiere. They showed it on Saturday and we watched about 20 minutes and then Lisa did a Q&A afterward, talking about the episode, talking about the new cast.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And I don't want to oversell this because, again, I've seen half of an episode, truly TBD on the show as a whole. But I will say this cast is messy. Right off the bat, there is a lot of intertangled, personal shit going on. There's relationships. There's hookups. There's breakups. There's, you know, sects, sexes going around. And there's a lot of baggage within this group.
Starting point is 00:50:22 And whether or not the show ends up being like great, this cast is messy and they are putting it all out there right away, which I think is a good sign. And the first episode, it just drops us into the middle of an honest to God surshift. And that was thrilling. It was thrilling. And so I'm excited to see more. You know, we're going to be talking about it after Thanksgiving, Van der Premir's So, you know, get ready.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I think people are naturally pessimistic when it comes to something like this, and I totally understand that. But I'm excited to give it a chance, and we will see. I do want to talk about the Jeff Lewis versus Andy stuff that happened. I don't know how many of you guys that listen to me are like Jeff Lewis fans. If so, maybe cover your ears for a few seconds. I think Jeff Lewis is a bad person. And I have no qualms about saying this because to me, like,
Starting point is 00:51:17 It's objective at this point. Like he's given us enough material to make that judgment that like I don't think he's a good person. And he, um, on Friday hosted one of the first things of the weekend, which I did not attend in person, but it was, um, Ask Andy, which he usually does a couple times throughout the weekend. And it's just a Q&A session with Andy. And interestingly enough, the first one of these over the weekend, Jeff Lewis was like moderating. And then the second time Ask Andy happened, which was on Sunday, which I did go.
Starting point is 00:51:47 go to. It was just Andy on stage alone taking questions the whole time. So let me just say, Jeff Lewis should feel lucky and grateful that he was asked to do this because Andy can do it by himself. He does not need a co-host. He does not need a moderator. He can just stand up there and talk for an hour. So Jeff Lewis, first of all, you're welcome from whoever for inviting you to do this. Also, you're getting your own show again on Bravo, still flipping out working title was announced over the weekend. You know, in case you haven't heard, Jeff is on the radio and he has people that work for him and he's still treating them like shit. So we're going to see that on a show. Congratulations in 2026. He got to announce this at his big panel with Andy, who again didn't need somebody to be on
Starting point is 00:52:39 the panel with him. And Jeff had the audacity. First of all, okay, he made. He made a lot. He made a made this comment during the Ask Andy where somebody had asked about Monica for with Salt Lake City like would she come back or whatever and Jeff made this comment about oh I think her snap benefits are frozen right now like as a dig calling Monica poor or broke or whatever leaning into this ongoing issue in our country where millions of people are losing access or are, you know, potentially going to lose access to money that they, like, desperately need to survive. And Jeff Lewis is using this as, like, a shady read at Monica being broke, which it's like,
Starting point is 00:53:29 is Monica broke? Maybe. Does that matter? First of all, no. And second of all, like, tying it to that is just, you're fucking ghoul. Get a life. Get a grip. And Andy clearly didn't like that he said that.
Starting point is 00:53:42 You know, Jeff is, but also it's like, you know. You know what you're getting with Jeff Lewis. But then after the panel, he goes on the radio on Monday, I think, and is saying, complaining about how he was set up for failure doing this Ask Andy panel because they didn't want to make any big announcements at his panel. So he was asking him about what's going on with New York. And Andy said no update. And then later in the weekend, Andy said that they were done with casting. And then he was asking him about OC. And he said, oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:54:14 there's no update. And then that night he gave Andy the orange at the bravos. And so like, you know, like me, me, it's so unfair that I, Jeff Lewis was on the stage with Andy and he wasn't going to spill all his big tea for the weekend the first hour of the day when I was up there. And so therefore I was set up for failure and, you know, they should all be apologized to me. Go home. Get it. Truly get a life. Like first of all, who do you think you are that they're going to like give you all of the announcements for the weekend in the first hour. Second of all, like, you were there to announce your own show coming to Bravo. That's the announcement, and it's about you.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Be excited. Be happy. Be grateful. Like, I just, I'm sorry. I don't usually talk about Jeff Lewis because, like, he doesn't really, like, come into my orbit that much. Like, I don't listen to Sirius. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:04 It's just like, oh, my God. Get a life. Get a... I'm going to move on. So good, so good. Everything you want for summer is at Nordstrom rack stores now and up to 60% off. Stock up and save on the brands you love like Vince, Sam Edelman, Frame, and Free People. Join the Nordi Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. Girl, winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Starting point is 00:55:55 Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. I didn't go to the Beverly Hills panel. I heard it was boring.
Starting point is 00:56:14 That's kind of part for the course, which is why I didn't. didn't go. I also missed the Potomac panel where Wendy was. That was the one thing I was like sad to miss when I was in the press room. The Atlanta panel was really good. They just finished filming their season and you can tell that there's a lot of tension. And Drew and Shamia and Kelly really got into it at one point. So I am excited for next season of Atlanta. And I also heard that Andy kind of maybe accidentally confirmed that Kay Michelle is going to be on next season of Atlanta, which we sort of already knew, but like now I guess we really know. I was like, why didn't they bring her out for the weekend? That would have been fun. I don't know. But we have some breaking news. Wait, I, okay, I've been sitting here talking for like
Starting point is 00:56:54 almost an hour and I, producer Joe just put in the dock. Jen Shaw is getting out of prison in like two weeks. December 10th, she's getting released after 33 months. She says she's excited to put this chapter behind her. This is, I like need to be. a minute. Jen being out of prison like a week after you're going to, this is crazy. Because she was supposed to get six and a half years, 33 months. Now, I mean, this is how like federal prison kind of, I don't know, whatever. I'm not going to get into my understanding of how federal prison works or doesn't work. But it's so interesting because I feel like for a long time, the question of Jen potentially ever coming back to Bravo has been pretty abstract. And then obviously
Starting point is 00:57:42 her release date had gotten moved up a few times. I think the latest was that it was like next summer. But once she's just like out in the world, suddenly it's like, oh, like, no, is she coming back like tomorrow? Now, I do think it seems still unlikely because the comments that Andy has made pretty recently, you know, suggests that he doesn't have much interest in sort of welcoming her back in any way. there also was a really good interview that Kate Arthur at Variety, who I, you know, got to spend some time with this weekend and she does great work. She did an interview with Francis Berwick, who is the head of Peacock and the head of Bravo and really just kind of like, you know, sits on the throne over all the stuff we talk about. And, you know, she is, you know, has so many great insights about so many things.
Starting point is 00:58:33 So I really recommend reading that whole Q&A on Variety. but one of the things that Kate kind of, you know, got into a little bit with her is sort of how Bravo looks at and evaluates various different legal situations because there are a fair few at this point. And sort of who gets to come back, what's unforgivable, you know, that kind of thing. And so specifically they were talking about Karen Hugar, who obviously was at BravoCon this weekend. And, you know, Francis was really saying, you know, it's about showing accountability. and if we feel like there's been an appropriate amount of accountability and also like how if the fans feel like there's been enough accountability. And so for somebody like Karen, you know, she did the crime. She did the time.
Starting point is 00:59:17 It feels like we're in a space now where we're going to see that accountability taking shape and how that's, you know, how we're navigating that. And Kate said, do you feel like there's less of that path forward for what Jen Shaw did? And Francis was basically like, yes, I do feel like yes. And so I think that it's still going to be probably if we're ever seeing Jen again, it's going to be a longer road to that, at least on Bravo. But man, December 10th, I mean, congratulations to, she's going to be home for Christmas. She and Omar and Reefie and Coach Shaw, they're going to have a nice holiday. And, you know, good for her.
Starting point is 01:00:01 Wow, wow, wow. Mia Thornton got arrested. Just like so much going on. Wendy and Eddie were using aliases, allegedly, and 40 different credit cards. Guys, the Wendy and Eddie aliases, at this point, I'm just like riffing. Pam Oliver and Eddie Hennessy. First of all, how is your alias going to be your real first name? It can't be Eddie when your name is Eddie and your brand is happy Eddie.
Starting point is 01:00:29 and then Eddie Hennessy first, I mean, just Pam Oliver and Eddie Hennessy sound like on Parks and Recreation when April would do the like Janet snake hole and like that, it's just like bird brain shit. Now, I, there have been all these legal motions, which I don't have time to fully get into with Wendy. And, you know, they're saying that these subpoenas that they, you know, that prosecutors received were a fishing expedition
Starting point is 01:00:58 to just try and like dig up more dirt because they did the initial investigation improperly. I don't know where the real truth lies in terms of all of these like motions and arguments and things. But it's like the more that comes out, whether or not it's like admissible in court or, you know, holds up to a certain, you know, burden of, you know, fruit of the poisonous tree or whatever. It just doesn't look good. It's like you're, I'm not believing that you're, I'm not like starting to believe that you're not a crook at this point. And it just feels like at a certain point like this stuff isn't being conjured out of thin air. Okay, okay it was a fishing expedition, but it seems like they caught a fucking fish.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Right? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. Guys, Salt Lake was so good this week though. That, that tragic little surprise party for Brittany. But then really the conversation, the conversations, A, between Lisa and John, first of all, I'm like, Lisa Barlow seems like an exhausting person to be married to. And I'm glad that they're having this open dialogue where Lisa says she's a great listener and John Barlow laughs in her face. You know, if you're a man, maybe don't. Maybe keep it, keep it inside.
Starting point is 01:02:24 But I have to say, it's like seeing Lisa be emotional and admit that things aren't perfect or great is nice. But also it's just like after watching her for six years, I have less than zero faith that she will actually like take this to heart to like change anything. or do anything differently moving forward. So it is just a little bit like, okay, like, what now? Yes, and what's the... She's like, I'm just a round a lot of girls that are committed to not seeing or hearing me. It's like, well, I would hit you with the Uno Reverse and say that I don't think you really are seeing or hearing what anybody's giving back to you. And there was a hilarious moment at Watch What Happens Live, the 20th anniversary one, when they were doing a round of like shady questions.
Starting point is 01:03:16 And Lisa got asked who on the stage, there were like 30 housewives from all different franchises, who on the stage is most likely to leak stories to the press or like to the blogs or whatever. And Lisa was like, oh my God, well, I know it's not me. And she was like, you guys, who do you think it is? Like to the audience. And the way, you can go back and watch the clip. The way, the entire audience. And this was a big theater.
Starting point is 01:03:42 This was, they did watch what happens live this year where Britney Spears did her residency at Planet Hollywood. The entire audience in unison, you! It was why, even being in the room for that, I was like, gagged. Gagged, because what do you say? Everybody on that fucking stage thinks it's her, which first of all, it's like, just say Tamara.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Like, please, come on, the answer's right there. But she's like, I don't know who should I say, you. Humbling. But humbling for any normal person, I know that shit wasn't humbling for Lisa Barlow, because she's going to go take a selfie and get in glam again and not think about it ever. Her confessional look with the cowboy hat, though, every time, I don't know how many episodes they've been using it, but every time it's a shock to my system. Because I'll be like taking, I'll be, you know, taking notes or have a different tab open or whatever,
Starting point is 01:04:39 and then I'll like look over and I'm just like, oh, my God. Oh. Like, who let her look like that? That's, okay, the thing about Lisa, you can tell, she doesn't have good enough gays around her. You have to have, like, really, a lot of these housewives have, like, premium gays doing their stuff. You have, you know, the stylus, the makeup, the hair. That is one thing being a BravoCon. Armies. Armies of gays.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Armies of gays and stressed out women on iPhones. working, working, touch-ups, glam. And obviously, Lisa has glam. She has glam in San Trope. She has glam in Monaco. She has glam at confessional. But like that hat, oh my God, it's brutal. It's brutal.
Starting point is 01:05:29 But that scene with Jared and Brittany also brutal. But the thing with them is that I think the more that we see, it was really easy kind of at the beginning to be like, oh my god like sweet brittany is just getting tossed around like by this guy like a rag doll like a you know squeaky toy and she's just helpless and she probably has all these feelings for him and is just being like you know tumbled around and doesn't know what what way is up y'all they're doing this to each other and it is wild to watch because i think this is the most this is the most like focused scene we've gotten of like a one-on-one interaction with Brittany and Jared with no outside, you know, people around.
Starting point is 01:06:18 They're going for like a weird walk in like kind of the woods, but like not quite. Brittany's wearing wedges, which just seems like wildly not suited for the terrain. And the way that they are speaking to each other and the way that he is like throwing back in her face, like you're always, you know, the second. We have, you know, a good moment. Like, and Brittany's like, well, I was on a break. So why would you care that I was flirting with all the guys on the boat? And he was like, well, but now that doesn't make me want to get back with you because you were flirting with all the guys on the boat.
Starting point is 01:06:52 And she's, and he's like, you run away every five minutes. And I'm just looking for someone stable. And that, oh, my God, just like dagger. Because, of course, for her, she's like, you want someone stable? What am I supposed to do? Because it's like they are just in this circle the drain, rinse and repeat, and they're doing it to each other. Because he was like, what happened in the 30 days? This is, we were supposed to be on this 30 day fast.
Starting point is 01:07:22 And she's like, okay, you can take your 30 day fast and is trudging up the hill in these wedges walking so slowly. It's like on Love Island when Amaya and or not when Hoda and Chris had their like breakup at their. one-on-one date and he was like, she was like, you're not going to carry me across the water? And he was like, bitch, no. But she's trudging up the hill and it's like crying. And then the second she gets to the top of the hill, he's like, fuck it. And goes up and comforts her again. It just is like, we cannot get off the ride with these two.
Starting point is 01:07:56 And I, you know, I'm not saying that, you know, he's not being toxic, but it's like, she's also clearly being so toxic. They're toxic to each other. And I almost am like, should they just get married? Like, maybe, I don't know. Maybe they should just get married. Maybe just ride off into the sunset and, you know, you can break up and get back together as many times as you want, but, like, leave us out of it. I don't know. I feel like Brittany is having a tough go of it.
Starting point is 01:08:26 That scene with Brownman and Todd, just tough. Because she's like, they haven't, you know, they haven't seen each other since the, like, texting another lady thing. and he says that he's coming home and Bronwyn's like, okay, but if you're coming home, we need to talk about it. We're not just going to pretend that everything's good. And she walks in and he's sitting there and she's like, well, what's up?
Starting point is 01:08:50 And his response, moving and grooving would send me over the edge. Moving and grove in, get out of the house. We're giving it another week. Like, oh, Todd is just like, every interaction, every interaction makes me so annoyed. I'm still not over him eating the cherry off her Sunday a few episodes ago, by the way.
Starting point is 01:09:21 But yeah, no, they're just talking. She's like, well, you know, I did talk to Whitney about our sex life. And I was like, okay, well, he's not going to love that. I could tell you. She's like, if I can't be open with my friends, then this isn't going to work. And I do, you know, like, I don't necessarily, I don't know what the right answer is here, but it's just like, it's tough to watch these conversations. And I just want, I want more for Bronwyn. And I don't know if Todd is ever going to give her more or is capable of giving her more in terms of the emotional connection.
Starting point is 01:09:55 I want that for her. I feel like she needs that. But then the episode ends with Mary's church reopening. And, you know, another tough scene with her and Robert Jr. it seems like he relapses and isn't, you know, able to come to the church opening, which, you know, I can't even get into. It's just so tough. But seeing all the women at the church, minus Brittany, I did notice she's not there. But seeing everyone else show up and having this moment in the church, it was just like kind of euphoric.
Starting point is 01:10:27 And I am not a religious person at all. You know, I don't identify with the like, actually. actual religious element of it. But just like the energy in that room seemed so positive for everyone there. And the fact that she, you know, in her kind of, I don't know, like what you, testimony. It wasn't like a sermon. I don't know. Like I've been to like a mass before.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Whatever. In her like performance, let's say, I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I don't know all the words. She kind of like calls out to each of the women and like, you know, sort of gives. them a little bit of that like connection moment. And you can tell that it's really, it's meaningful to Bronwyn. It's meaningful to Meredith. It's meaningful to Heather. The way that Mary is able to share her passion with these women and connect across, you know, they, none of them subscribe to the same religious practices that she does. You know, Meredith is Jewish. A few of these women
Starting point is 01:11:33 are Mormon. Like, it's, it's, it's a complicated tapestry, but it's just was like a lovely, a lovely energy. And is it a cult? That's one secret she'll never tell. Oh, I don't know. Man, okay, I do just want to touch on OC quickly because it's the end of the reunion and, you know, we're not going to be back for two weeks. And so this is the last chance saloon to talk about this season of OC, which is probably for the best, because this reunion was just like a little bit of a mess. You know, I caught up on part two, from last week when I had to record early, and then of course watch the third part. And it's just like, it's not that there's, it's not that it's not compelling. Because there's a lot to get into, you know, the Katie and Gretchen stuff from part two.
Starting point is 01:12:17 Katie, I thought, the one interesting thing that came up was Katie alleging that Jen basically fucked with her paycheck by not sort of giving her an inch, that the producers were telling Katie that if she could get to any sort of a better place with Jen, she could keep filming, but if she couldn't, then there was no kind of way in for her. That was really interesting because I feel like we don't necessarily get a lot of that sort of like filming BTS intel. But in the third part, it's like we spend so much time on the Gretchen social media stuff. And, you know, like question of the week is Gretchen Rossi homophobic and transphobic?
Starting point is 01:12:58 And it just is tough because I don't know what the right way to handle this at the reunion would have been. But it does kind of come across like the Gretchen Rossi redemption hour, which as someone who doesn't really want to redeem Gretchen Rossi was just a little bit like, why are we doing this? because Gretchen comes out, she talked to a cyber analysis company and paid thousands of dollars to get this 20-page report that says that a lot of the accounts were connected with Tamara. And it's like, but what does this mean? I don't, I mean, Gretchen admits that she was following a lot of these accounts. She says that she was following 4,500 accounts on Instagram and that she was following a lot of left-wing accounts and a lot of right-wing accounts. And, you know, she followed a lot of these accounts and didn't really know what they were. And like the whole thing of like, it's late at night and I'm scrolling and liking and not reading and then I'm following. And I don't know. It's like, get your shit together. Like I don't want to hear, you know, do I need to jump to conclusions of, oh, you follow X account so you have X belief? Maybe not.
Starting point is 01:14:13 But like, you're a public figure. People go through all the time and look at who's following who. I have upon occasion looked at someone's profile and typed in like, are they following Candace Owens? Sometimes it's, it's telling. Um, I just think like the whole, the whole like conversation about this is just like kind of unsatisfying eventually. Because like Gretchen is never going to like admit to doing anything wrong. She's never going to be like, oh, yeah, sorry, I lied.
Starting point is 01:14:47 I am homophobic. Like that's not, it's just, that's not an option. And she knows it and we know it. and all the women just kind of have to decide that they're going to just be okay with her, whatever happened. So that, it's just no closure there. And then the stuff with Tamara leaking things about filming, they watch the finale in real time. And Tamara, you know, Tamara clearly is on the outs with pretty much everyone except Katie at this point.
Starting point is 01:15:19 And there's just no real resolution. because Tamara's so adamant that she didn't do it. These other women are like, who else could it be? How else could this person know? But if Tamara's, at the end of the day, it's like, if Tamara's not admitting to anything and in fact is adamant that there's nothing to admit to, and all the other women are still convinced that she did it, the episode kind of just ends.
Starting point is 01:15:47 And everybody's doing their toast and Tamara's crying to Andy saying, I didn't do this. I didn't do this. I love my job. I don't have a reason to It's like, I don't know who, like I almost don't care who to believe Because it's like, if there's not ever going to be an answer
Starting point is 01:16:05 At the end of the day, then we're sort of just talking for the sake of talking. And that's where it's tough to think about season 20 Because it's like, okay, so Tamara is adamant she didn't do this. Everybody else thinks she did. She's maybe getting along with Katie. But other than that, like, what is the overall cast picture for season 20, it's tough.
Starting point is 01:16:28 And it doesn't feel like this reunion really like cleared up anything. Because, I mean, same with all the Katie stuff. We're never going to agree exactly what Gretchen said or what Slade called Matt and talked about. And, you know, Gretchen is saying that her saying on camera that she went to the hospital was her misspeaking. And I, I'm team, that's not how that works. because miss speaking is saying like, oh, I said the hospital, but it was like really urgent care. Or like, oh, I said that I did a toxicology report, but it was really just like a random blood test. You said you went to the hospital.
Starting point is 01:17:03 That's a lie. Misspeaking and lying are two different things. And I don't know. I mean, personally, I would like to not see Gretchen back on the show for more reasons than just like the alleged homophobic stuff. Like, I just don't think she created good TV this season, like on a pure enjoyment level. I didn't enjoy her being back on the show. But beyond that, I mean, yeah, it's a tough, it's a tough little puzzle to put together. And, you know, at least we know we have Vicky standing in the center spot.
Starting point is 01:17:35 But beyond that, I'm really curious to see how they move forward with O.C. I'm curious to see how they move forward with Miami, too. Man, that panel was a mess. Adriana just, like, doesn't know when to call it quits with the Haitian mortician thing. but um our next segment is all the rage brought to you by angry orchard hard cider life is too short to keep things bottled up especially when there are way juicier things to obsess over we're unpacking the bravo drama that has us spiraling this week in the best way possible so crack open a crisp refreshing angry orchard and let's get into it well you guys it brings me no joy to report that there is a little rumor that is making its way around and And I've heard this rumor, you know, bubbling, simmering, purgulating, whatever verb you would use to describe a rumor that's kind of in the ether a little bit, but not necessarily, it hasn't gotten to the like, but now we said it territory.
Starting point is 01:18:35 You know, we're still kind of, it's a DM. It's a post from a random account. But right now, I'm looking at an article from page six that says, Summer House stars Kyle Cook and Amanda Batula are, quote, going through a challenging time in their marriage. Now, this is just a report. You know, we're just, we're hearing from, as page six calls them, an informant, a source close to the couple. Actually, they say two separate sources close to the couple. I don't want to be, I don't want to speak out of turn. I'm just reading what I'm reading. And I'm telling you what I'm reading because it's like a book club. You know, know, we talk about what we're reading. But page six says that they are currently Kyle and Amanda living separately and that they are going through a challenging time, but their source, their insider insists that they are not on a break and are both committed to working on their
Starting point is 01:19:31 relationship. So this is interesting because obviously, you know, Kyle and Amanda married couple famously, if you've watched Summerhouse, you might, you might know. For the idea, for the idea that they are taking some time apart living-wise, but not on a break and committed to working through their issues, that's like an interesting position to be in. Because I feel like there's a lot of people who are like, okay, we're separated. Okay, we're working on it. But to be like, we're living apart, taking time, but not a break, but working on things, it's like a little, it's it's curious. They have been married since September 2021. We have been hearing for multiple seasons now about whether or not they're going to buy a house in the burbs and move out of the city, whether or not they're going to try to have kids because Kyle is 43 and Amanda's 34. And that's normally when, you know, if you want kids, you're kind of working on it, let's say. We've heard about, you know, Kyle's too focused on lover boy and Amanda wants to do her swim line or maybe Amanda
Starting point is 01:20:48 wants to do nothing, which is okay too. But we've been through a lot of questions about, you know, kind of the future of Kyle and Amanda, Mr. and Mrs. Cook Batula. And a lot of people, I'll just say, a lot of people have been praying on their downfall. Or maybe not their downfall. because getting splitting up or getting divorced or, you know, breaking up is not your downfall. It's the beginning of a new chapter. So I don't necessarily want them to split up, but I also don't necessarily want them not to split up. Because, you know, when two adults love each other very much, but maybe are a little tired of loving each other very much, sometimes the most loving thing to loving adults can do is to lovingly go their separate ways.
Starting point is 01:21:45 And is that happening? I don't know. According to the page six informant, they are not on a break. And so I'm sure they're not on a break. But also, if they are, that's cool. Mom and Dad can go through whatever Mom and Dad need to go through, and we will still love them both. So I don't know. I mean, we have a new season of Summerhouse that's in the can.
Starting point is 01:22:10 We have this new spinoff show in the city that they've been filming. So if there was going to be a kind of, let's say, update in the Kaimanda saga, there are logical places that we would be receiving that update that are incoming, you know. So I'm not surprised that we are not getting kind of real-time updates because I bet, look, they started dating essentially on the show. They stopped dating on the show. You know, Kyle cheated on Amanda on the show. They got engaged on the show.
Starting point is 01:22:43 They got married on the show. They have lived their whole relationship on the show. So if they are going through a tough time in their marriage or, you know, God forbid, breaking up, they kind of owe it to us to do that in front of the cameras. So I will see. Only time will tell. I wish them both the best in whatever. form that looks like for them. But let's just say that is all the rage. So thanks again to Angry Orchard.
