Starting point is 00:00:00 you're listening to mess wow sydney you look really pretty today really i wish the listeners could see you oh my god they don't know what i've been through today or just last night last night friend what happened last night oh okay this we starting off really strong with the mess i saw you last night Oh, you didn't see me when I got home. Oh, okay. Well, let me cross my legs again. Girl, now TikTok is supposed to be getting banned
Starting point is 00:00:37 and I am fully against it, except for the reason why I'm a mess right now. I have been watching videos. Bad Bunny came out with a song. So it's DTMF. It's a song and it's about like, I should have took more photos. I should have kissed and hugged you more.
Starting point is 00:00:58 And people are just posting videos of families and family members, friends, pets of people who passed away. And I'm sobbing. I can't stop crying. I cried for an hour and a half last night. Why not just stop watching the videos? I couldn't stop. I was stuck in a hole. You ever just be in a hole?
Starting point is 00:01:19 No. Not a hole that I put myself in. A hole full of tears. Yes, I put myself there. Oh, they got a bad TikTok. They got a bad TikTok. Why are you crying? Like shaking, convulsing.
Starting point is 00:01:32 I should have took my phone. I was crying. Yeah, girl, you are. Bad Bunny, you did your big one with that. It was so good. And actually, there's a TikTok of him like crying because he's like, thank you. Thank you for posting your loved ones, your people, your pets. Was he really crying or was he just squeezing his eyes shut?
Starting point is 00:01:54 Oh, he was crying. So that a tear would fall out. He's crying. Everybody's crying. In the club, we're all crying. In the club, we're all sad. Yeah, we're all sad. So that's your mess.
Starting point is 00:02:05 I mean, I have more mess. But that's why it was nice of you saying that I look good. But last night, baby, this morning, I had to put like little ice stuff underneath my eyes. How long were you watching these videos and crying? I told you an hour and a half. Were you listening? I am confusion. I am also confusion.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Bad Bunny, why would you do that to me? Sydney, you did that to you. No. Marie, when's the last time you cried? I have no idea. But when I do cry, it feels like, you know. A release? Sure.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Crying is a release. Like you took a poop? Like I took a poop, yeah. But with tears? Yes, I'm pooping through my eyes. But I'm not, I don't know, Sydney, this just feels like these are tears you could have saved for something else. Nah, sis, I think every month or so, I got to have like a random cry because, you know, I'm also dehydrated. So I'm surprised I was able to get any of that out, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I don't know why you're saying every month or so. I feel like you cry every other day about something. Sydney, you called me the other day. You were crying, but you were also laughing at the same time. Oh, yeah, that's right. Oh, my God. This is another mess that I have. So I move into my beautiful new neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Beautiful new apartment. Marie has come over. We spend the night. I've been there twice. Yes, we've been in the projector situation, order food, all this stuff. So I'm very happy to be there. I have a nice little deli that's on the corner. so it's been very windy mind you so i i like stomp my little feet all the way over there
Starting point is 00:03:58 i like this pineapple spicy drink that's about eleven dollars sydney loves a fusion gentrified white people juice yes absolutely right yeah that's why i'm dehydrated and eleven dollar and it's like i don't know how many ounces but it's not enough it's smaller than like a thing of orange juice yes it is right so i should be getting tropicana but i want this my my sis needs a small business loan to buy this juice and she continues to buy this glass thing of juice. Okay, boom.
Starting point is 00:04:30 So I go in, I get the juice, I get something else, I walk out, I'm listening to the podcast. Literally listening to the podcast. Out of nowhere, a big ass trash can hits me, knocks me down.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Juice splashes. Juice everywhere. People are walking over me. Like, Beyonce and Kelly walked over Michelle in 106 and Park. Can you keep up? No, I can't. No, you can't. No, I can't.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I'm sprawled out. I hit my elbow bad. Juice is splashing on me. Our voices are laughing in your ears. It was like you were laughing at me while this is happening. Then a man from across the street runs over. Oh, my God. Are you okay?
Starting point is 00:05:19 And he's like, I saw when it hit you. and he's trying to pick me up. And I said, sir, get off of me. I'm fine. But I was like, damn, my juice. So I go back in. Juice is everywhere. I'm like, hey, I just fell in front of your establishment.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Can I get another juice? There's a big-ass sign that's like, no refunds, none of that. No take-backs. He's like, no, I have to charge you if you want to get another one. I said, are you serious? I just moved here. I came here every day. There's no like, like a good neighbor, this bodega's here.
Starting point is 00:05:56 No. No? No, girl. So then he speaks the language to another guy who works there. The guy runs out and sees the whole scene. And then he comes back in. Glass and juice all over the front of the store. And he's like, no, no, it looks like she took a tumble.
Starting point is 00:06:11 I think he said that in his language. And the guy's like, so I'm going to charge you $5. So now it's a $16 tiny juice. I paid $60. I think the universe was telling you not to drink that juice no more. I call you. I'm crying, crying, crying, laughing, crying. And I feel like you were crying with me.
Starting point is 00:06:32 But yeah. No. That was my mess, bitch. It was. I took a tumble. It hit me. And then I come back out. It falls again.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And then it starts following me. I took a video of it. Just so people. I'm not making this up. We're going to add it to the dump. I'm going to put it in the dump. I sent it to you. I saw it.
Starting point is 00:06:47 You were like, Sydney, this is something. What shoes were you wearing when you couldn't? It was these boots. These. These boots are not made for walking, babe. The naked, the fake naked woof. The naked woof doop. The doop doop.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Doop doop. Yeah, so I've been through it. That's what I'm saying. You're like, I cry once a month, every few months. That's not true. Yeah. Sydney. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:11 It's okay to be, you are Pisces too. Do you want some of my tears, friend? No. No. But I have a glass of water. Okay. Cheers to that. A little sip of water.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Everybody, pick up a glass of water and cheers. Every time you hear something messy. Cheers. Oh. Get hydrated. Oh, that guess is plastic. ASMR. Are we doing bad?
Starting point is 00:07:28 We can't afford glass here? It's not glass. No. It's glass. Yours is. Mine's is plastic. Marie, what's up with you? How you doing?
Starting point is 00:07:37 Okay. So, I'm doing swell, sis. Oh. I would like to share some mess that I overheard this week. Okay. Okay. Overheard. Overheard imported mess.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Let's go. Friend of a friend. okay okay yes um in a relationship with this guy okay goes home for the weekend uh-huh and usually messages their boyfriend to say hey i'll be back at this time on this day on whatever for whatever reason wanted to surprise her boo this random week so she gets there she like hides all her stuff yeah he's not there um she hears him coming jumps in the bedroom closet to hide so she can like be like surprise the boyfriend comes in with another woman no now with another woman the friend in the closet is too stunned to speak right they come into the bedroom they sit on their bed in their
Starting point is 00:08:41 outside clothes now that is the offense that's where you call the cops for sure girl this girl is in the closet in shock because, first of all, who are you and why is there some ho here and why are y'all in the bedroom? Again, in the outside clothes, sitting on a bed. She's standing there, like, trying to
Starting point is 00:09:02 listen and trying to silence her phone and trying to, like, make sure that, I don't know, she jumps out at the right time. She's going to jump out? She was thinking. I think that was what the plan was. And they're just talking. They're in the room talking for, like, 10,
Starting point is 00:09:18 15 minutes okay finally this person in the closet has had enough and she sends a text like hey on my way be there soon um she said that they they like didn't make out they didn't hook up okay it felt like there was something in the air tension yeah it was some tension it was like she was waiting for him to make a move he was waiting for her to make a move turns out this is the person's ex-girlfriend no the ex-girlfriend the girlfriend from before right is the boyfriend a lesbian oh because that that feels like that happens to lesbians a lot yeah i'll be in the bed with your inside glue i know we just still talk to our um exes and you know some some might come over i i don't know about their life but i hear it often how many exes are you still cool with
Starting point is 00:10:06 that are women yes oh we're not talking about the i'm like uh i think i think about two two or three that means four no two or three and lesbian means four right um anyway the the guy gets the text and immediately everybody jumps up and now they scurrying to get out and blah blah blah blah like is giving guilty yeah it's giving you probably shouldn't be here you definitely shouldn't be in this room no um so he jumps up she gets up and he walks her to the parking lot to the car my friend's friend jumps out of the closet and also runs out of the apartment because now it's got to look like i just got here yeah yeah now i'm acting now i'm an actor that sounds like a fun day it's exciting is it more exciting than getting hit by a trash can
Starting point is 00:11:00 Ooh, oh, girl, I thought we forgot about that. Trash can, trash can hate crime. I thought we moved on. You ever just be like having the same type of day every day? Shake it up a bit. Get hit by a trash can. Come in and your boyfriend is bringing in an ex. That'll liven it up.
Starting point is 00:11:21 What would you do? What would I do? Would you jump out? Would you, would you, I mean, I feel like, Sydney, if you were hiding in a closet, Your phone would start ringing nonstop And, I mean, Sidney would be on FaceTime in the closet No, no
Starting point is 00:11:34 Girl, let me tell you what happened to me You know what would, like, set it off Set the alarm off I would have gas You know, I have really bad flatulence Girl, Sidney, you have to We gotta change this gassy-ass narrative It's just what it is
Starting point is 00:11:49 It's been happening I don't smell Well You guys came over And I didn't know that it came out And Amina was like What was that? No, Amina's sentence, go-to sentence is, did somebody fart?
Starting point is 00:12:05 And then you were like, it smell like boiled eggs in here. And I was like, I did have two boiled eggs this morning. That's too many eggs. That's too many eggs, mama. Yeah, so my gas would be the number one thing that would be like, somebody in here. Or did something die? Now, are you a silent but deadly or are you like a question mark fart girl? like a it's a it's a mixed bag you never know what you're getting but yeah it's happening i don't
Starting point is 00:12:32 know i think i think waiting in the closet for what do i pay rent here oh no no we hello hi what's going on knock knock somebody's sleeping in my bed my bed my bed i would have started singing that actually i would have started playing the song i would i would r kelly what would you have done um part of me would want to jump out as soon as they walked into the bedroom but you're doing it for the plot so you're gonna wait right but the other part of me would want to know what was gonna happen before i jumped out so yeah 50 chance of uh well well well what have we got here just to see their faces yeah um but i don't know girl i think that uh maybe i would have made a noise um i you know my sinuses my sinuses are all messed up right now
Starting point is 00:13:38 anyway so I'd have probably coughed I think that's crazy that's crazy work to bring somebody into your home even if it's not cheating it's still inappropriate it's inappropriate and have they learned nothing from Lorena Bobbitt no people need to know their history mama said chop chop we not playing these games no more I think that's the thing that we got to take back in 2025 what do we have to say men are not afraid of they're not scared of us they're not afraid of us they haven't been afraid of us they won't be they they meet us online and they be like come over and i'll cook and it's like i should come over there and murder your plants your family yeah cut up your chelsea boots like yeah why are you so confident to be like yeah
Starting point is 00:14:23 come to the crib i mean for me when i was dating guys it was always like the marriott for me i'm i'm taking a towel i'm taking some toilet paper they only got one towel and they haven't washed since 1999. Why are you taking a towel? I'm taking something so they know like, hey, someone can steal.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Someone could rob you. Girl, I'm not taking a towel. The towel that they use to wipe their face, their butt, their hands, their gooch.
Starting point is 00:14:49 I'm not taking no man's one-ply towel. I don't know what kind of men you be around, but the ones I had, they had multiple towels.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Two towels. Because they let me use a towel as well. Girl, you think it was multiple towels? They just flipped it upside down No, I was rubbing the towel and seeing if it's crunchy or not
Starting point is 00:15:08 I was like, let me rub my face Crunchy towel is mess If this is a really clean towel Girl You ever put your face right and you're like If you're a man and you're listening to this Please tell me how often you wash your towels Also, how many towels do you have?
Starting point is 00:15:26 You gotta have more towels, guys Everybody, this is for anyone The amount of towels Because you have to assume You need towels for yourself Yeah But also what if you have guests Right
Starting point is 00:15:35 Have you ever had a guest Come over and you're like Damn I think I'm gonna have to Run out to Target I'm gonna have to go Get you something at Target You know what
Starting point is 00:15:43 Actually I was gonna use this For me But you can have it friend I don't I I I have I have like
Starting point is 00:15:50 Mitch Mac Towels before I've done that Where it's like Nothing is together Sure I don't have a set But
Starting point is 00:15:57 One time Ooh it was bad I had somebody come over I had to give them a dish rack to wipe their bodies. Who was showing at your house? Hey, you know, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:07 I used to work at the club. So like all types of club people and you know, I didn't care. They just needed something scrubbing a body just to get the, you know, the glitter, the club dust, club dust,
Starting point is 00:16:18 club dust. That might be the title. Club dust. Club dust. Um, okay. So wait, hold on.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Club dust can also be ketamine. Ketamine. Yes. cocaine is also club dust club dust yes mdma club dust club dust yes okay so um that happened to your friend what advice did you give well it had already happened it already happened it had already happened like what advice can i give dump him i mean what would make you stay in a situation like that i guess it depends on how nice the apartment is stop it how you know but that's Where you live affects how you feel.
Starting point is 00:16:57 It is. It's like, is it a too bad, too bad? I mean, well, if you were in one of the rooms, I would just be in the guest room. I dated a guy who had a cute loft. Oh. And he had a little, like, outdoor space on the end. I was like, I'm going to have to stay a little bit longer. Expect me if it's a nice place in a nice neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:17:19 You know. I'm not mad at it. Sometimes you got to stay a little bit longer just while you get your stuff together. While you get your stuff. That's probably, that's a reason why someone would let somebody go down. They're like, well, I'm not going to leave them because I don't have an apartment yet. I don't want to break up. I got to have housing.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Housing is over everything. Housing. That's what we learned here. And on this pod, housing first. Housing first. Integrity. Second. No, third, fourth.
Starting point is 00:17:47 What second? Housing first. housing um eating oh housing eating housing first food second yeah integrity third yes absolutely i'm not mad at that i'm not mad at it either but i don't know i feel like that's the thing cost of living is going up yes it's a lot of couples that can't afford to break up because they can't you know they need a guarantor or they can't afford to live anywhere else by themselves Girl me You know what happened to me
Starting point is 00:18:20 My ex had broke up with me I had to stay with her For a whole month Before you could leave Before I could leave That's crazy And then you just We in the bed like
Starting point is 00:18:30 Same bed Same bed Same bed Same bed Yeah what are you gonna do I'm not sleeping on the couch No you broke up with me Yeah
Starting point is 00:18:40 My back is not also Gonna be broken Because of this Exactly I'm like You just gonna have to deal Damn You should have thought about that
Starting point is 00:18:47 Before you broke up with me Were y'all spooning? I'm not really a spooner anyway. Oh, are you not? No. Marie, you've slept in the bed with me. Yeah, you don't spoon me because you know I don't like spoons. Oh, but I mean, my body kind of does what it does.
Starting point is 00:19:01 You tell me all the time. You wake up, Sydney, you cannot sleep like a starfish. Sydney be kicking me. Yeah. Sydney be scratching me with her toenails. It's like. Yo, somebody that I'm with was like, yo, I don't know how anybody sleeps with you. You're insane with it
Starting point is 00:19:18 You be voguing in the bed I'm here Casper Yeah, you be flailing Marie, I have another mess for you For me Tell me what you think You know I will
Starting point is 00:19:34 I'm not going to name no names But a friend of ours Got a calendar Made a calendar for me With all of my close friends I mean, she threw some people in there And I was like, who is this? But she reached out to our friends and everybody sent a photo.
Starting point is 00:19:51 First of all, I have an issue. Oh, when somebody is asking for a photo, everybody's got to be aesthetically pleasing. The background, everything. Don't just give anything. The pictures that I got, I did like some of them. But the others didn't love all. No, I was I was worried. I was worried.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I was like, what if I pass away? and this is the shit that you're sending for the PowerPoint that's gonna be like above my casket how fucking dare you you want a casket
Starting point is 00:20:19 PowerPoint um if you could project it on the casket on the casket that might be dope if I get an all white casket
Starting point is 00:20:26 and then you just project the pictures on top of it that might be sick okay if anybody's taking notes please add this to Sid's will
Starting point is 00:20:33 Becca please add this to Sidney's will bitch I was some of the photos I was like who are all these people
Starting point is 00:20:39 I don't need all of these that's crazy what month were you most disappointed in i forgot but i'm gonna write it down and i'll let you know then then the other thing was reached out to a friend a friend just didn't turn it in and then i confronted the friend and i was like yo what's up why you didn't send the photos she's like i was busy every time she messaged me i was busy i was like really because I see I see how you work what and then she's like we're friends in real life like you don't need a photo and I was like excuse me am I am I wiling out for feeling the way I feel no I think it's justified I think it's definitely justified it's 2025 we all have favorite photos of ourselves on
Starting point is 00:21:24 our phones we all have 30,000 pictures and 16,000 videos like the person I heard a lot of photos Because just in case I'm like, every time there's a birthday or something reminds me of that, I'll send to a person like, hey, look at this. This is cute. You look good, bitch. That person must be upset with you. Or maybe they lost their phone and they had to get a new one and there's not no picture. I don't know. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Or maybe you outshine them in every single photo y'all have together. I'm fucking missing a tooth on the side. And that's the other thing. People were sending photos and I'm like, I don't know if I look good in this. yeah but when you ask somebody to send a picture of you and them they're gonna send the picture that they look the best and that is mess we both have to be eating it can't just be one person like how hard is it how hard is it to tear up a photo girl how hard is it me please what is what you are my most photogenic friend it's the same you are my youtube that's not true that is true
Starting point is 00:22:27 Because there's a million pictures of me where I look. I'd be like, wow, is that how round my head is? Damn. What's wrong with a round head? Where is my hairline here? Oh, my God. How many chins do I need here? That's a lie, Marie.
Starting point is 00:22:41 It's not a lie. I've seen. I'm obsessed. Sydney, you are my most photogenic friend. And you know, on the carousel, I'm going to post pictures where I look insane. Please do. Please do, because the people don't believe they exist. so for you to be like um why would you send this picture if people just trying to find a picture
Starting point is 00:23:02 where they can they can keep up with you stop and realistically you know sometimes you're like wow i look hot i look amazing i look fantastic today i've never looked better and then someone takes a picture of you and you'd be like am i ugly every single time i i think what it is is some people are not holding the camera i don't understand these people who be putting a camera this low what is this we you're underneath you're underneath my chin that's what you are well hold on let me take a picture from below and i don't like it should we try should we do it take one low okay and then take one high oh already so much better yeah high is just better it's so much better yeah i think everyone should take a little like photography class everybody
Starting point is 00:23:47 everyone should take a photography 101 class and just see and just see what angles are lighting and care you have to care if you don't want to take the photo I'd rather you be like nah and I'll set up
Starting point is 00:23:59 a little tripod situation I'll put a little cup and put the phone on top of it I can makeshift some shit cause don't be taking some photo and it's like
Starting point is 00:24:06 there you go do you hate me? are you mad at me? are we fighting? also if I ask you to take a photo of me that means you gotta take like six
Starting point is 00:24:14 pictures of me if I ask one six that's men that means minimum you gotta take like six minimum sex one means ten I agree
Starting point is 00:24:22 if you really about if you are really about that person you're gonna go all out you're gonna want the photo but then but then i want to hit you with some other real shit after 10 you should have gotten what you gotten you should if if we into like 20 if we taking 20 photos and it's still not right baby you're gonna have to talk to jesus well that's up with god god is not it's not for you that's up you gotta talk to god and dr miami i agree with you but if you're taking a picture of somebody and you taking a bunch you gotta say something while you taking them yeah i need to hear gas me up a little bit so i can be like oh i agree i think that's silently taking a photo not giving directions that's out that's last year this year we're giving directions we're hyping people
Starting point is 00:25:09 up we're getting involved if you can't do any of that get away that's why i stopped asking strangers to take photos what is worse someone silently taking a photo of you or having silent sex with somebody oh i'm gonna say what's worse i'm going to say they are the same oh yes oh they are the same how do i know if i'm not if i'm doing a good job if you're not saying anything sex and photo sex and photo silent sex i think is worse no silent sex is worse because it's like why is it silent why are you right all i can hear is your breath but sometimes i want to also put that out there because you know I've been I've been out there I've had I've had a time I'm retired now but I've been out there okay some people no I don't want you talking anything that you say
Starting point is 00:26:01 it's weird like how it feel inside what it's inside like that how it feel inside how it feel inside who is saying that a man how it feel inside it feels first of all how am I supposed to know how i feel inside you're inside me well you should tell me how it feels yes exactly and then it's weird it's sometimes it's weird as like no as a lesbian every single time me asking the person how does it feel it's like it's not real so like it's not real it's not but it is me watching no the no the feeling like obviously it's like a connection thing it's not just like someone being inside but asking someone who has a strap on how does it feel is i mean i guess we're getting it that's crazy work that is also acting it feels good no they always say it's amazing
Starting point is 00:26:55 well it's like how do you know if it's tight or what like i guess because it's not falling out But sometimes it does fall out And then you're like Oh, that ain't me Maybe it's too wet I don't know Maybe it's too wet Maybe it's too wet
Starting point is 00:27:12 Wet, wet Listen, if I had a dollar Every time It's too wet oh okay so i have i have some a topic that kind of leads into this you could have just led into it babe yeah this is how transitions work thank you sydney we've been doing podcasts together for like 17 years and every time okay you know what well tell them how you feel get it off your chest You know, I like to just be like, roll into it.
Starting point is 00:27:59 Anyway, whatever. That's why we're different. And they should get best of both worlds. You know what? They should and they do. They do. Thank you, friend. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:08 While I was crying last night, then I got into like the funny stuff, the funny videos. This one creator was saying that a lot of women are having trouble with men because some of them are gay. The women are gay. And that's why they're having some, it's the same way we were like, men, they're having all these issues with women because they're gay. He flipped it. He said, no, no, no, no. He's like, I read a tweet where it's like a lot of the women are DL and they're not coming out. And so they're dating these men and that's not who they really want to be or they're just not connecting.
Starting point is 00:28:45 So he said, he's like, it's time for the women to come out. He said, you keep talking about all these problems with these men. It might be you sis, might be you sexually. Oh. Yeah. but like what if i'm i'm not attracted to women i'm i'm not i've never been a lesbian but we're not talking to you sis we just say hold on hold on i'm just saying okay all right i'm just saying what if that's not that's not what i want but you're saying that it's not working because
Starting point is 00:29:13 that is what i want how am i supposed to know that that's what i'm supposed to do you're saying And just try it. Just do it. Marie, I've known you for years. You are straight. Thank you. You are. Hey, y'all be out here DMing me.
Starting point is 00:29:27 So, like, what's up with Marie? What do you mean what's up with her? She is Haitian. She is Haitian. And she is very straight. And if she was gay, she would be with me. No. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:29:40 I'm irresistible. Girl. Girl. Yeah. But it's like he I think he kind of is making some of a valid point. He's like, but he's like, women have been so, like, controlled and manipulated with heterosexuality and like religion. And it's the way it affects men. It affects women, too.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Yeah. So going gay in 25. You don't have to go gay. But he's just saying that it's it's so easy to be like the men are gay. The men are gay. he's like the women are gay too he's and but are the women gay I don't know are the girls gay that's a great question I know I'm gay but you know you know you gay but after the gay didn't work out x amount of years ago you came back to straight come on now well hold on now I'm gonna
Starting point is 00:30:37 get this really straight yeah literally get it straight what happened was is that I was I now I've dealt with depression for a long time and I was also depressed I also was coming back I'm also in my late 30s I said fuck it you never know maybe I've you know it's 13 years of being gay maybe I've been with men before maybe I could be back with them let's see I for me I was like I'm always open I'm an open book you know so maybe that's what we should be saying because I know a lot of women not a lot I know a couple women who had been straight their whole lives yes maybe married to men um divorced now yep and now they're more open to exploring themselves with women and some of these women are now in relationships with women with women so maybe that's what it is you
Starting point is 00:31:27 break up with somebody you you have a type it hasn't been working draw something that's not your type maybe that's what we should we should be saying switch it switch it do the complete opposite of what you've been doing okay but i want to say that i was completely being toxic i was using these men i didn't i had no real like connection connection or a future or and i think sometimes that's what women do to other women who are they are not really straight they're just like well i'll just see how it works with this girl but like or they're like i'm bisexual but it's like you'll hook up with a girl but you'll never take a girl serious you won't date them you won't bring them home yeah and so and i think that is that's toxic that's messed up so
Starting point is 00:32:10 i completely say that what i was doing to these men was wrong am i sorry how is it wrong you are letting them inside you that feels like it was wrong a gift that no that was wrong it was wrong for me it was it was abuse it was self-abuse you were blessing them physical abuse for me with access to your poussoir juices that's a gift it was they and the thing is is that which was wild for me is I was on the app I was I didn't say what my sexuality was so I was getting you know everybody but mainly men were um coming my way and so I would get to the date and I would say hey I'm actually a lesbian and their face would be like hmm and I said but the way the confidence as of a man is like they're like yeah but you here and it's like yeah I'm here but I'm
Starting point is 00:33:04 also unemployed i'm also broke i'm also bored so like i have all the time to be here and get these steak and eggs so steak and eggs steak and eggs yeah i was ordering that it was on them i might as well while i'm figuring my things out i might as well eat well right and so i would tell them i would be very like honest but like yeah i i think that like after all of that i went through all of that i said no i'm not supposed to be with guys i don't like them for real and even when i did think that i liked a guy i like the idea of the mystery this is somebody that i cannot penetrate emotionally and and that was attractive it was like oh i don't i don't know you i don't get you i have limerence i'm thinking that maybe this is more than what it is and soon as that went away
Starting point is 00:33:56 I was like oh I didn't really like this person this wasn't really for me I don't know I don't know what how I feel about this what you mean I'm just saying like I talk to me I think that you know say it talk to us
Starting point is 00:34:12 use your words oh my god I just I feel like everybody should date outside their box this year I think so i think whatever you think your type is throw it away because imagine having the same type
Starting point is 00:34:31 and every single time it doesn't work out you're actually driving yourself insane literally just a little bit literally now what are we taking away from our type because if you say your type is tall i think we could throw that away if you say hey my my type is uh successful uh we throw it away successful i don't know i don't know are we throwing away we're brainstorming right now we're workshopping my type is successful so now i gotta date a bum no don't date a bum my type is hood dudes so now i gotta date a finance bro in a patagonia vest yeah well yeah i'm open to that i'm looking for a man and finance brown eyes six five yeah you know whatever that is um yeah girl whatever i mean maybe your type is black and now it's white no if my type is black
Starting point is 00:35:24 then i say yeah try white see how it happens try white try white is the title of the podcast right of this episode girl not during black history white yes that's why it would be funny try white the episode is off white no off white i like that white we're off white um but maybe if your type is black try asian try you know a little hispanic dude try try everything try everything yeah this is listen this is baskin robbins 31 flavors baby get them all get them all in for the month of black history month yes you're uh on number one on the call sheet is black but on the weekends try something else yeah okay yeah try something different try something different and black history month is a short month so you know maybe black will be a history uh be a dating history
Starting point is 00:36:19 what's crazy for black history month is that uh you know the guy digimon who did uh amistad and uh um he used to blood diamond blood diamond and he was married to camorra lee simmons variety put out an article he said that he is underpaid and struggling to make a living but when he was out there wasn't a thing that he wasn't in that was not winning awards he was the man he was getting book book book book book but that was a while ago though to be honest i think i saw him in uh what is it the silent what is the silent something with lupita with lupita yes he was in quiet place he was in a quiet place the recent one yeah he was like somebody's husband he was he was like number eight on the call sheet for sure but he said he's he's struggling bad he's down bad and
Starting point is 00:37:14 people were just like you guys have to stop saying that these celebrities are rich because they're not they're not not all of them a lot of them it's a lot of fluff what people don't understand is like you could book book book book book but then when are you getting paid you could you could book something and then not get paid for six months also as a black actor you're not getting you're not getting paid what your beige counterparts are making it's just not gonna happen it's not happening and if i'm if i'm on the call sheet i'm number uh eight i don't know how much maybe i made like a hundred thousand dollars a hundred thousand dollars after you pay out your people which is 25 and then taxes girl it's gone what's that 60 it's not enough
Starting point is 00:37:56 50 000 that how long would that how much was 60 000 last year marie well you know what you're very you're you know you've been you've been spending but i feel like you're always thinking about not you're like how do how can somebody else pay for this i don't know i don't have to pay for all of it dad sydney you make me sound like a bum no you're not like how you're cute unemployed no you'll be like how you gonna get somebody else to pay for this girl i am a independent black beach that don't like spending my money and i'm not gonna apologize for that you shouldn't first of all that is not being a bum you know i worked in nightlife people were constantly getting things paid for the men who have it are spending and you're gonna say no but
Starting point is 00:38:39 not always this is how to rich stay rich they don't spend their own they do not spend their money they get somebody else to delegate the things and get it done they're calling they're making favors like how can you how can we get this or when they're trying to hire people they're not paying them their actual rate they're like well we're cool you know how can i get this you know they're they're undercutting these people it's happening i hear it all the time a lot of the more famous younger influencers that y'all love to follow love double tap on they making money and they're not they're not paying people well at all no they're not spending money um when they go out they want to be they want bottles sent to the table they want people to dress them for free
Starting point is 00:39:21 they're not coming out of pocket to pay for anything so because but there's also people who want that because they are actually not getting paid that much i remember when i went to the emmys um i went to the creative emmys let's just that's still that that's still in but like you have to pay for a stylist that's about 1500 that's not your own clothes you have to pay you got to pay to get your hair done you got to pay to get there you got your paint so already before you get there and i was like look the low end i'm already spending over two thousand dollars to be somewhere and that's not even including the price of your dress that's not it's not in your shoes and your it's not included your and your brow yes so imagine if you're you
Starting point is 00:40:04 know somebody who's up for an emmy you're getting the best of the best absolutely and these people's rates it's not it's not like five hundred dollars they're spending that whole day is going to cost them probably five thousand dollars yeah just off rip so it's like yes people are famous and notoriety and all this other stuff but if you really get into this industry it's all a scam it's all about how can how much you want to be in it how bad and how much are you willing to spend you're going to be making a lot of money but you're also going to be spending a ton a shit ton to keep up with the joneses well let's read what digimon said digimon digimon digimon i don't know he might need to hit kimora up for a little well that's what they're saying in the comments they
Starting point is 00:40:53 were like no baby kimora is hitting you for that child support babe that's why you ain't got any money worth more than him it don't matter how much child support could he possibly be paying girl wait you didn't you didn't see about this other one the oh girl i put so much in the in the dog Well, I'm just I'm just I saw what you put in there, but I'm just saying I thought the way child support worked is the person who made more paid, not the person who makes less. I mean, but think about it. At that time, he probably was making a ton of money when they were together. He probably was worth the net worth, all that stuff. He probably did have a ton of money. But after you how long does child support last? I feel like she's had more money than him the entire time.
Starting point is 00:41:36 But that's what we think We don't know She was with Russell Simmons Who is worth more than him Is he? Because he's in Thailand He's not coming back, babe He's in Thailand
Starting point is 00:41:46 He's in Thailand And Thailand is cheap So he's absolutely saving money By being in Thailand Can we get him on the call? Can we get him on the call? Let's get Russell Simmons on the line Caller number two
Starting point is 00:41:57 You on the air I mean, allegedly He's assaulted some people So we don't really want In Thailand? No, not in Thailand Well, listen If you're in Hollywood
Starting point is 00:42:05 And you've been in Hollywood for 20 plus years and you haven't assaulted somebody are you even famous anyway uh but i digress yeah this dude said i'm still struggling to make a living i've been in the filmmaking business for over two decades with two oscar nominations and many blockbuster films and yet i'm still struggling financially i'm definitely underpaid i was nominated for the golden globe but they ignored me for the oscars because they thought i had just come off the boat and the streets even though i successfully did that they didn't feel like i was an actor to whom they could pay any respect that's crazy i'm nominated for multiple good awards and y'all are like but we
Starting point is 00:42:46 don't want to nominate him for this because i think he's the dude from the pirates movie like what yeah i mean the thing is is that we just know like we are we are boots on the ground in this industry and we just want you to know that whatever you think of your celebrity people that you love there's a lot of time where it it's all smokes and mirrors like you think they got a great big payout and they didn't or they did but then after they have to you know pay pr someone does pr for three months that's over twenty thousand dollars that's just for the hope that you get in a magazine or you get an interview or they do some type of you know press for you that's that's potential you might not even get you spent twenty thousand dollars on a press run and people could
Starting point is 00:43:37 just say no so say for instance you did make a hundred thousand dollars off a movie which a lot of people are getting that sure there's we have the a-list people and then we have the people who are underneath that they're not making that at all you get a hundred thousand dollars you're getting taxed you pay your people out you pay pr what do you 40 000 afterwards and then you have to keep up with your celebrity so you have to go out you got to go to events you got to have this like take cars it's a lot of money take cars i don't know keanu reeves is rich and he takes the subway people that see keanu reeves on the train every other week and he'd be right he got his little uh starbucks cup yeah you know he or maybe not sorry maybe he drinks like joe and the juice
Starting point is 00:44:21 and uh you know so i i get it but now as a famous person who's not a rich person do you need to act like a rich person for people to respect you or can you just be like a regular person that more people know than everybody else i don't know it's it's a really it's it's a hard thing because if you are a celebrity and act like a celebrity that's alluring people want to be a part of that that's inspiring that's what people want they don't want to be a regular person that everybody knows is that what people really are working hard for absolutely not that's ridiculous if I'm making all these movies or shows are they making people laugh make making people come out why should I be underground no I should be above I'm a regular person and I don't want to be on the ground with
Starting point is 00:45:12 the rats so I get it I'm just saying shout out to Keanu but that's not gonna be me you can you can take the train you can be frugal or whatever but at the end of the day and you see how insane fans are they don't care about your personal space they don't care about what you're going through you're in the middle of eating linguine and they got their phone out hey can you take a picture of me with my family and you like no mama no mama calm down calm down mama yeah I don't want to be amongst the the the pedestrians put me in the back room honey yeah is there a chef's table here yeah and that and that costs money that costs money so it's just like that's the same thing with all the the la fires they're just like oh these people are rich those are everybody in la
Starting point is 00:45:56 is they can get another home that's their second home it's like wait hold on i need you to put the phone down these are real people and even if they're rich and they can get afforded their home Their whole home burned down to the ground. All their stuff, all their memories, all of that. It's gone. Now, let's talk about this, okay? Your house is on fire. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:16 You have five minutes. What three things you grabbing from your hot house? Me, my wig, and some shoes. Now, this wig or not? Is this your favorite wig? This wig. You know I was in a fire. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:34 We brought nothing. We literally was like, we have to get out of here. Well, I'm saying for this scenario, you got a couple minutes. What's the three things that you're grabbing from your hothouse? I need my passport. Yeah, well, that's your ID. I need my passport. Slash wallet.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Everything is in it. Literally everything. I'm grabbing my passport, too. So hopefully my purse that has all of my important papers. Does your purse have all your important papers in it right now? Yo, one time I had like a little zip up and it had my social, it had my birth certificate. it had $500 it had my passport
Starting point is 00:47:06 yeah and this was just in your purse just in my purse is it still in there no you lost it oh absolutely
Starting point is 00:47:13 there's two Sydney Washingtons walking around right now somebody is you right now I dare someone to try to take my identity you won't be able
Starting point is 00:47:21 to open up shit baby well I'm actually getting my credit together but no you still won't be able to open up anything you're not getting a new line of credit
Starting point is 00:47:28 with what I'm working with if I woke up and my house was on fire I'm grabbing my passport I'm grabbing my laptop you're getting your laptop well yes because I need it for work what you mean sure it's in the cloud but like how do I access the cloud if I don't have a laptop you save everything on the cloud and then you can I'm taking my laptop okay do you hear me babe the passport the laptop now I gotta get the charger um but also I sleep butt naked so
Starting point is 00:47:56 if my I wake up and my face is on fire now I gotta find something to wear now I'm like do I want to wear these shoes? Girl, you're burning in that fire. Should I wear my favorite top? I'm just letting you know. And I gotta grab my retainer because a retainer is expensive. Oh, Lord. You think about the wrong things, friend. How am I thinking about the wrong things? My teeth, my
Starting point is 00:48:15 travel, my laptop. No, I'm telling you, when we were in that fire, they literally could not and also, if you're not an organized person, you're going to be doing circles and laps looking for the stuff. Just get out. You have to just get out.
Starting point is 00:48:31 If you have a pet, take your pet, but you got to go. What if I can't find the pet? A lot of people were doing that. Cats like to hide. A dog is like a doofy shadow. A dog will follow you. But a cat is like, well, it's warm here. You know cats like to be warm.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Stop it, Marie. A cat is like, well. I don't know. I feel like if this is like your family pet that's been in there for a while, I think you're going to be in there searching. But I can't get it out. So now me and this family pet got to die together? The more money will be on a GoFundMe.
Starting point is 00:49:01 I'll tell you that if you what they'll go for me that doesn't benefit me because I've died well don't you need money for your funeral
Starting point is 00:49:08 do you have a will Marie I don't have a will do you have life insurance no Marie that's mess my sister do you have life insurance no
Starting point is 00:49:17 then that's mess I'm just saying I don't even know how life insurance works so I pay every month yes to this thing and if I die
Starting point is 00:49:28 then who gets this money Well, it'll be put towards all the things that need to be worked out after your death. I'm going to just put my mom's name on my bank accounts like she's been telling me to do for years. Yeah. And if something happens to me, then she can access my bank account and she can pay for my stuff. What about your sister or your brother? My life insurance? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:47 Well, my sister put me at, she just got life insurance last week and she put me on her policy. I think that is mess. We are of that age. We need to get that in order. I need somebody to explain life insurance to me like I'm four. Like I'm a child. Why? Because I need to know how it works.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Because some people's policies be like, if this person is murdered, we're not paying out. Yeah. And if this person is in a fire, we're not paying out. If you commit suicide, that is not paying out. Yeah. Yeah. So it's like. It sounds like you kind of know about life insurance, right?
Starting point is 00:50:20 Well, that's because I watch Snapped. Yeah. It sounds like you kind of get it. It snapped to be like, this person took out a million dollar life insurance policy. So what does that mean? I have to pay into it up to a million dollars. And then if I die, someone gets a million dollars. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:35 I don't know everything because I don't have it either. But I think it is a mess that we are of this age and we need to get our things in order. This is a thing that needs to be in order. Because if anything happens, then it falls on the people that you love the most. Well, what are you going to do? What you want to do? oh and also you were asking about child support yes jimmy butler's baby mama who he's had three kids with he pays her fifty five thousand dollars a month this bitch want ten thousand more
Starting point is 00:51:26 she wants ten thousand more he pays her fifty five thousand dollars a month yep oh that's cute what's that come to for the year so he i think it's six hundred and sixty hundred thousand dollars that comes to six hundred and sixty thousand dollars a year she yeah jimmy hey jimmy call me baby so you were asking you were like how much is like child support it depends on i think it's like all these different like it depends on how much you make and how many kids you guys how many kids you have and so people were like what is she needed for because also there's like nannies but she doesn't work she's unemployed so it's like what how why do you need a nanny you're at but also taking care of kids is a lot but it's kind of like girl what do you need all this money for
Starting point is 00:52:16 but also it's like why y'all keep coming in these women why y'all keep coming in these women that's a mess you know where you could literally a mess anywhere the wall the pillowcase the duvet the towel the towel that one towel that one towel that you have her upper her eyebrow her her butt on her baby hair her baby hairs the plant that's by the bed in your passport come in your and on your glasses there's so many places to come just not inside of her and three times three freaking times we know y'all both sir come on now this is jimmy jimmy butler jimmy jimmy listen man this is on you like even if you say this is not right i think this is what men have to think about when they're about to ejaculate it's like hey i don't have a condom on she could get pregnant and then
Starting point is 00:53:11 is she worth all of this money that i'm gonna have to dish out she must be because he keep coming back to you keep coming back and it's like at this point how i mean i don't know what his um his contract is i'm trying to i'm trying to find uh he was supposed to make a a good penny a good penny is it 50 million dollars he was supposed to make i don't know i'm just throwing out something 50 million dollars for the year yeah but i'll say this about it um i think when you're rich and you have children that are you know have recognizable last names yeah i think you got to put them up i just saw the baby mom's photo and it makes sense and it makes sense okay y'all gotta stop nutting in these women but specifically these women yeah these specific women
Starting point is 00:54:04 the thing is is that a vasectomy is always available and then if you are like hey i actually want to have kids you can it's it's reversible yeah and i think a vasectomy is like twenty dollars like stop it i think you use a groupon yeah vasectomy like i think i think you can get a vasectomy and then go to the club that same day so i mean it's it's doable it doesn't hurt and like it saves you all this problem and drama marie can we do mess or just living and then one mess messages can we do that absolutely let's do it friend okay mess or just living canceling on a baby shower one hour before oh i've done this marie no what happened you know you rsvp because you think i'm gonna be there and then you you check the party full address and you like bay
Starting point is 00:54:59 ridge yeah that is like that's far yeah i'm gonna just send a gift or send some money and i'm not gonna be a girl you better send your plate and a gift because it costs money to do these these events yeah people are paying for how many people are going to be there oh they do food they what yeah like people are catering these things and like having accounting for all these like how many heads is going to be in here oh yes girl when i think canceling baby showers i don't think about the the plate the plate and that's a mess um uh okay donating twenty dollars to a GoFundMe messages living what we funded, you know, you know, the fire or someone a death or someone lost their job or I think you got to donate what you can. If you can donate 20, donate 20.
Starting point is 00:55:54 If you can't donate nothing, don't donate nothing. OK, and I think also I go to GoFundMe that I don't always donate to and I rank I go top donors. I want to see who donated the most and then I want to see who donated the least. and sometimes it's a lot of 20s it's some 50s in there it's a lot of 20s and sometimes I look at
Starting point is 00:56:10 the people who make way more money than me and I'm like oh they donated $20 they donated $20 again that's how the rich stay rich and I said
Starting point is 00:56:17 they could have been anonymous but they got their name on there and it's $20 and we know how much we go into the Forbes the Forbes list you on that baby
Starting point is 00:56:24 and it's $20 you 30 under 30 and you donated under 30 okay and then coming to a party and spending most of your time hanging out with the friend's pet whoa does that mean the music is bad the the food's not good like is the
Starting point is 00:56:43 pet wearing a cute sweater like what that was me we went to our friend's birthday brunch party whatever yesterday and I was there but I spent a lot of time upstairs with the cat I don't know something something is in my head now that I feel like I'm an extrovert introvert where like I do like hanging out I want to be out I want to be out of my house but I also when I get to somebody else's house then I kind of want to revert back to if I'm like in my own home and I don't want to be amongst the masses if it's 20 people there you don't need me so then why come I know that's a good question yeah what's the what's the good answer I'm all it's not really FOMO if you're not hanging out with the people downstairs because then you're there and you're like
Starting point is 00:57:26 do you do you need me right now then when people start leaving that's when I go back down that's When I shine. It sounds like you're up there snooping, sis. I'm not. It's giving you rummaging. It's giving you opening cabinets. You're opening little drawers. You under the bed to see how dusty it is.
Starting point is 00:57:42 You're a mess. Speaking of mess, let's talk. Let's read a message. Message? From a mesty. Yes, a mesty. A mesty. Or Messiah.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Messiah. Somebody said Mexicans. Mexicans. No, not Mexicans. Mexicans. Mexicans. Mexicans is actually kind of cute, kind of funny. Mexicans.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Mexicans, I like. Okay, we'll vote. We'll vote on it. Okay, we'll vote. Do you care which one I read first? No, I don't. Do it. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Hello, Marie and Sydney. This is a six-month-old mess, but I'm petty and bitter. Ooh. Real. Love it. And I want to get it off my chest. I am a gay man, and I've been dating this fool for over a year and a half. He's mad.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Mm-hmm. Upset. Well, he did say he's bitter. Yeah. everything was mostly smooth and whatever disagreement not dick sorry everything was mostly smooth and whatever disagreements we had it was handled like adults or we got a couple's therapist input okay rich after a few weeks of staying distant and him raising concerns that were not connecting as in him taking an impromptu vacation for two weeks i tried to have a conversation
Starting point is 00:58:50 with our therapist during which me and the therapist can clearly see he was already checked out gone right we say let's take a few days and discuss me wanting to give it my all i sent him an email acknowledging his feelings and how much i want us to work things out get okay get it he just went on vacation what feelings right you've been relaxing he responds with a breakup email he attached the email didn't sound like him it ended with let me know if you want to discuss further that's business that's so business okay that's business speak and not some a-hole breaking through email so i took his email to one of the ai detection sites and tested my email that i wrote myself and his mine came back zero percent ai generated and his was 85 percent ai generated
