you're listening to mess okay girly we're back hey girl oh i'm you know what i'm actually feeling
so good i'm back on meds it is i've been on it for like 20 minutes so and it's working it's
absolutely i'm glowing is that how fast it happens no it takes like two weeks three weeks okay so
six months this is a lie yeah it's placebo effect right now yeah how about you you're feeling good
Should I get some drugs?
No, you don't need it.
You got like shrooms and edibles and God.
Not and God.
Yes, shrooms, edibles and God.
Thank you.
You're always praying.
Let's write that down.
I'm always praying?
Just a little bit.
I feel like you secretly pray.
I don't feel like you're the ones on your knees, but you're definitely saying something.
No, I'm not on my knees.
And I'm not like a pray before I eat type of person.
No.
But like if I'm trying to catch a flight, I'll pray.
Especially now, you know, planes falling out the sky.
And if I'm taking a test, like if I'm at the doctor and I'm waiting for my results, I'll pray.
So God is like, Marie, you're so unserious when you're praying to me.
It's nothing. It's nothing.
I'd be like, hey, girl.
So I know we haven't talked.
You know my heart.
Yeah, you know my heart.
That's also a good title.
Girl.
But yeah, yeah, yeah.
So you're feeling good. I love that.
Yes. A little bit of mess.
So I've talked about this before.
I think we put this on the page, but doing pop-ups during Valentine's Day, my gal did that to me.
She popped up at a show.
I mean, we talked about her coming, but we didn't solidify it.
She didn't confirm.
She didn't confirm.
So if you don't confirm, hey, we need confirmation in 2025.
It's a yes or it's a no.
It's happening or it's not.
It's not a, oh, maybe.
No, no, no.
So, because the tickets were expensive, I thought she wasn't coming.
Then all of a sudden, I didn't pay all this money for these flowers.
She's not even home.
She's not even home.
Mess.
She came.
It was fine.
Oh, you delivered the flowers to her and she wasn't there to get them.
Yeah, exactly.
So, what did they do?
They just leave them on the stoop?
Well, luckily, you know, they're so unprofessional.
They didn't deliver them until two days later.
I said, what if I was, what if I had fucked up and I needed these flowers to be there on that day?
It would have ruined my relationship.
this is a
this is a black owned place
no it was Ava's
it was Ava's flowers
Ava
Ava could be
Ava's
three stars
the flowers were nice
but they were late
so
as a late girly
I'ma let it rock
no
Valentine's Day
is the busiest time of year
for flower people
and whenever
funeral season is
I don't know when that is
right
Valentine's Day
is the busiest season for them
they should have been
prepared for that
three stars
I won't lie
I did order it
10am
that day
I might be mess
I might be mess
It's not about the time
It's the thought
That matters
Okay
No
You thought about it too late
What about your mess
What is my mess
Wow
I do this every week
Every time
Every week
I'm like
I should have written
Something down
I guess my mess today
Is
I got my hair done
Recently right
Yes
And I mean
You can't really
It's not really given
Whatever
We gonna fix it in post
but I got my hair done
and before I got
this style done
I was going to do
something like that
and I made an appointment
with the lady
and everything
and she cancelled
my appointment
as they do
day of
as they do
my appointment
was at noon
she cancelled it
at 12.05
they be your own people
Ava's
Ava's
so what'd you do?
I had to pivot
I had to do something else
I was sitting in the chair
getting my braids taken out
I had to get some braids out
so I can go to this appointment.
So I was running late
to the appointment anyway.
Okay.
But I have been trying
to call her and cancel
and postpone,
like from the day before.
She never picked up.
She didn't respond to no email.
She never responded
to any of my texts.
And then at 12 or 5,
she called me
and I was like,
oh, great.
Let me see if I can tell her
I'll be there at like 12.30
instead of 12.
She said, hey,
are you coming to your appointment?
I was like, oh,
I just wanted to know
that I'm running late.
Can we push back
to like 12.30 or 1?
She was like, no.
and your your deposit is non-refundable and then she hung up the phone I said
mind you I had like three boho braids left to take out and I'm sitting there like so what am
I gonna do so um it do be your own people and she did keep my deposit and I will be posting about
this later because um she deserved to get dragged absolutely right but also you know what's mess
hair hair in general the whole system the industry is messed up they don't understand how stressed
out we are and how we be on camera and then they be in the comments like look at that wig lifted
it's like hey babe we all have to work together to make sure black hair specifically no it takes
a village to raise a lace front and i need them to be on i need them to be on time i need them
to care more than me i need them to be on time i need them to be off book yes because a lot of the
girls are hair and makeup
people, but they can only do a certain type
of person hair and makeup. And it's like, can you
call yourself a professional if you can only do straight
like 1B? Like, you know
what I'm saying? Not 1B. What's the white
people hair? 2? 2A?
I don't know. I don't know.
Becca? If I'm a 4C. Why would Becca
know? She like a
3. What are you? I'm a 3B.
Maybe our guests will know. Maybe our guests
will know what. I don't know if our guests
will know. They definitely don't.
They definitely don't.
I am so excited for our guest Gianna's in here today.
Just glowing, just youthful.
All their teeth.
It's crazy.
Okay.
Saying all their teeth implies that I don't have all my teeth.
No, no, no.
Hold on.
Let me talk to you.
No, wait.
No.
Hold on.
No, Marie.
If the shoe don't fit, honey, I'm not talking about you.
Yeah, that's not my size.
I'm missing a tooth.
I'm talking about me.
Damn.
Damn.
My bad for stepping on the intro.
It's okay.
anyway we have hunter and payton from let me say this so what do you think of our mess this week
any thoughts hair is a good one oh my god like the dm for appointments like the dms the no dms
that is like anxiety inducing for me first of all i mean especially if it's a place that you've
never been before but like you you know i'm saying like if your friend has gone and you go because
you're like oh who did it and then now you know um but if it's a place you've never been but you
you watch some tiktoks yeah or you've seen some reels and you're like oh yeah i could
fuck with it yeah it's different we before you came in actually we were talking about
gatekeeping our breeders now you have yeah you have yeah absolutely because why can i not get
an appointment when i put you on and it makes sense we put her on and she won't do anything
for us oh don't do anything except for my hair which i pay for okay like i'm like i can get
priority booking i can't get anything extra for putting you on well that's and the thing is it's
like you want her to get more money i want i want i want this future for you sis but because you
don't do right by me and now i gotta take it away now i gotta take the tag away that's how i feel
about like like getting my hair done and people be like see my page and be like oh make sure you
tag me and it's like but you didn't hook me up sis yeah i'm paying full price and i tip and i
and i was only five minutes late like i'm not even like that late it's just well the grace
policy needs to be also like on both ends because i went to get my hair done and i was 10 minutes
late or no i was 11 minutes late and the cutoff was 10 well exactly i've sat there before for
hours the cutoff should be 15 15 15 is regular but then like when it flips and they're late to
starting my hair i don't get a discount no ma'am and let's just say 15 y'all know we're gonna be
late to 15 yeah so it don't matter but um give me the 15 and i'll take 11 there we go and we like
all know i'm lying about 11 i just wanted to like seem like on time
wait i also wanted to ask you are you a god-fearing woman am i a god-fearing woman a woman of god a
woman of grace like on i said on paper on paper i'm a god-fearing woman yes okay like well or
or let's say this i was raised i was raised by god right like and but then obviously i ventured
off did some devilish thing but now i'm because when you say devilish you mean
Keaton Cooch
I guess I'm still
I'm still devilish
She's a woman of God still
And it looks like I'm so devilish
But I do
I have a relationship
With God
Are you?
If you say you're an atheist, I'm shutting it down
No, I have black parents
But I do feel like
My relationship with the Lord shifted
But I thought there always had to be
like in in one friendship there needs to be one real god-fearing especially in a black friendship
woman and then one kind of like there's something higher up there you know like
there's like someone who grew up in the church and someone who grew up reading horoscopes
okay like the newspaper and like that's yeah yeah yeah which one is which one of y'all so you're
from oklahoma okay of course i'm a god-fearing woman yeah yeah yeah yeah so like a little church
in black and white?
That's what you're wearing?
Like the Kill Bill church?
No.
More like a black mega church.
There was like a black mega church
in Tulsa.
Bishop Carlton Pearson.
R.I.P. He's dead now.
Carlton Pearson.
Carlton is a good name for a pastor.
Even that sounds rich.
What's the difference between a bishop and a pastor?
Just more money.
That's what I was going to say.
It's a tax bracket thing.
Bishop sound.
I own this whole building.
Yeah.
So it was like,
I'm clocking in.
I visit.
Yeah.
It's not official yet.
I'm a guest star.
Yeah.
So there were like lots of big churches,
like black churches in Tulsa where I'm from.
And so that was,
but then of course,
like,
I don't know.
I had to go to church all the time.
Yeah.
Like I had to go eat pizza and like after,
after church care,
like children's church.
Yes.
We did not get pizza.
We got tuna fish sandwiches.
Oh, Lord.
Oh, man.
We're sitting there for the whole thing.
I was straight, too.
Warm tuna fish sandwiches.
Oh, my girl.
Room tip.
Room tip.
No wonder you strayed from the Lord.
Yeah, yeah.
He said, this isn't my gospel.
The Leppians got whole tuna sandwiches.
They're also warm.
What?
LOL.
I love it.
Are y'all here for pop-ups?
Somebody, you know, surprise.
I thought you meant pop-ups like shopping pop-ups.
No.
I didn't mean
I didn't mean
restaurant pop-ups
yeah
I'm talking about
popping up like
someone popped up on you
like oh
unannounced
unannounced
oh I hate that
I hate running into people too
oh you do
yeah
oh that's crazy
we ran into you
a couple weeks ago
and you acted like
you were happy
she was holding her
purse tighter
she was like
yeah
we were like
hey
I love
yo
I love when somebody
is obvious
that it's like
oh
what are you
doing here
i feel like your nightmare scenario is like being on a train multiple stops away and someone sees
you and comes up to you and it's like oh my god that happened to me that happened to me from a
high school with could not remember her name she's so nice um but it was just like what's her
name uh mary frances okay that's her name that's an oklahoma she's white yeah okay um but it was
just so like is that oh like yeah that makes sense i'm stealing that um yeah i'm not good
faces or names so i'll see people neither right so i see people and i'd be like do i know this
person but you know people will come up to me and be like and i don't know if they know me
yeah or if they know me yeah so i just be like good to see you i loved it yeah yeah yeah
but if you think about it it's like well i'm a public figure you're supposed to know me i don't
What do you do?
It's your childhood best friend.
They're like, bitch.
And I'm like, how's your mom doing?
I did bump into somebody once that I was like, oh, I recognize this person.
And we were both turning the corner at the same time.
So we crashed into each other.
And I was like, oh, hi.
And he was like, hey.
And I was like, trying to figure out where I know him from.
And I was like, maybe I know his mom.
And I did ask, how's your mama doing?
And then we parted.
He was like, she's good, blah, blah, blah.
We parted ways.
Turns out it was an actor.
I did not know him.
You did not know him.
somebody i recognized from a movie that i had seen it was leon no no wait he's out he's out
he's in the cynthia bailey's husband yeah husband right but that's who it was because i was like
wait he is everywhere though he really is everywhere it was literally i recognized him
from david ruffin and he said so how's your mother and he was like and he answered he said
how's everything with you i was like it's good okay so he's just like us for real i love that
he's like like much older than us you're like how's your mom he's like oh girl you know the usual
look at this 30 year old man i'm talking to this was a couple years ago but um yeah so sometimes
you just gotta fake it but don't show up to where i'm at but not if you're performing that would
make me really nervous if like someone just shows up and i'm like oh but technically it was like
we had talked about it so it wasn't it wasn't like me it's not how i'm presenting it it's just i'm
trying to be more dramatic about it but oh and for me i had already i was like i'm gonna be in
my bed i'm gonna be scrolling or i'm gonna be closing like but so now you know she was coming
and i was like oh wait now i gotta be like alive yeah and so but i think surprises are good but
then it's like do you really want a surprise yeah it is romantic though i think it's like hey i'm
in theory yeah but i like surprises that i curated myself oh totally so it's not a surprise
it's the right attitude it is you know the right reframe yeah
okay so y'all came in here with y'all y'all good old mess uh which is birthdays birthdays
boundaries and bangs i like that it's three b's whose birthday is the closest whose
mine is on the september sydney's just passed oh i guess mine because yeah mine's in april
April. And when's your birthday? August. Oh, what's that? August 9th. Same birthday as Whitney Houston. I'm Aaliyah. I feel like that would be in a bio somewhere. Yeah, I know it should be. Wait, what are you two? Sign wise? Libra. Right. Aquarius. You kind of said that was shame.
I love being Aquarius
because sometimes she accidentally
called herself a Pisces
that was one time honey
I stand strong capital A Aquarius
I love it
any famous people born on your birthday?
I don't care about them it's all about me
what are Aquarius traits?
I would say that we are
stars
but we chill about it
we're not like in your face
that's crazy
it's so crazy
all of a sudden
it's going to get
the same time
it's like very
like humble
I see why you
claim Pisces now
yeah
oh no
what a Pisces
what a Pisces
no more
no
no
that's why I
thought she was
a Pisces
oh
not in front of
the guest
my most sensitive
friend
I am
sensitiva
do you be weeping
oh
at a store
oh thank god
that was one time
Marie
one time
but Sydney
Sydney's tears are, like, interesting because she'll start crying and then she'll be laughing and then the tears are sucked back in.
And it's like, did that happen?
Oh, I love that.
It's called mental illness.
But also, you ShamWow'd the tears.
Do y'all do that?
I feel like one of y'all.
I feel like you're the one that would be like, wait, are you crying?
Oh, no.
I, like, be weeping religiously.
Really?
And I'm one of those annoying bitches that's like, eh, because I'm a beautiful crier.
I look like Bella Hadid when I cry.
Bella Hadid.
Sorry.
I have so many photos of you crying.
Really?
That she sent me.
that she has sent me
not that I've
you'll cry
in a public place
or at home
wherever you want me to cry
I'll cry
you'll cry
streets in New York
and then you'll take a picture
and then you'll share the photo
close friends
if you will
and the one that she has
specifically is
from Kylie Jenner's
baby announcement
what?
you'll cry
that's the one where you're like this
and you're like bald headed
yeah
what a time
can you please send us the photo
so we can add it to the desk
we're gonna need that
we're gonna need that photo
it's going in the
that was that one
oh my god
it was good
that's why I'm saying
I'm sensitive as fuck
unfortunately. I'm a Taurus, but I'm sensitive as hell.
You're a Taurus? Yeah.
Get a grip.
Get a grip is bad.
Y'all are stubborn.
Y'all are stubborn.
You don't know what sense is.
It's lonely at the top
of being correct all the time.
And then here you sit before us, wrong.
Loud and wrong.
That's crazy.
And you're...
Emily-o.
No, no, no. I mean, are you emotional?
Are you the...
the opposite of her.
I think I've grown a lot.
You're learning to be,
you're learning to open up.
I used to be very like
that 30 Rock gif
of like petting someone
with a broom
when they're crying.
Oh yeah.
And now I'm like.
That's you.
Oh my God.
We're like alternate.
If you go put your hand up.
Look at that.
We're just.
Oh yeah.
No, literally I was crying
not even a week ago
on a walk with Hunter
and she went.
Like it was kind of like
a slap more than it was a pat.
No rub.
It was just kind of.
She was trying to get you to stop.
She was not in the tears.
We're in public.
Snap out of it.
She was trying to knock the tears out of your body.
And I understand that.
Wait, do you cry on your birthday?
I used to cry once a year, every year, and it would be on my birthday.
But now, I don't know.
Not as much.
I think you have to cry on your birthday.
Yeah, it's one legal time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I used to be so surprised when I cried on my birthday.
Like, why am I so sad?
And it's like, because you feel like no one cares about you until everyone is around.
And you're like, oh, my God, wait, I love birthdays.
why is it the loneliest day in the world like your birthday is like oh everyone fucking hates
me no matter how many facebook messages i get or how many likes on a post literally they don't mean
it even when it's like someone texts me at like 11 a.m i'm like oh my god it's my birthday for
11 hours and you had no fucking you didn't care at all like you just realized it's my birthday
truly it's like oh my god i would just feel sad about like getting older and being around people
who i feel like are 12 and um on the forbes 12 under 12 you know what i'm saying like i'd be
the 12 under 12 list
I didn't need that
to come into play
it's happening
please don't do that
I already feel bad
on my birthday
we don't need that
but not no more
I mean
last time you cried
on your birthday
was in Tulum
but you were
Tulum on shrooms
you were on mushrooms
shrooms in Tulum
but you were having a good time
you were like crying for real
yeah no it was like
it was like happy
like wow
I'm standing in the ocean
the Gulf of America
the Gulf of Mexico
and um yeah i was like my mom stood in these same waters my grandma stood in these waters tears
the shrooms i would cry that that's really sweet at least you're crying in tulum my god that sounds
so much chiquer than crying in like that's a starbucks yeah oh yeah yeah oh fully we've lived
different lives so why are birthdays so messy is it the planning of stuff for people is it like
personal mess is it because you're trying to i don't know i don't like planning things for groups
of people because i don't want to i don't want to be worried about people having a good time
i just want people to have a good time or else or else yeah i do this thing with birthdays where
like i never want i'm like oh i don't care oh like who cares i don't need to do anything i
don't want to dinner like don't and then last minute bus and then august 8th i'm like what
the fuck is happening like we better do something big for my birthday and that like cat's cradle of
expectation versus reality is like just awful every single year but then i also have a really
unique skill of making other people's birthdays messy oh you showing up hotter than the birthday
girl yeah are you coming in a moogle what are you doing body team
oh my god i thought we were starting at 906 like you have a spotlight on your turn it's like oh
totally um no well you were mad because i went to your birthday party last year yeah wearing a
just a simple white tee a white tee that said leo on it on my very hard-headed ass taurus birthday
and i said pack your bags no you're going to hollywood i got my revenge because hunter got
wasted blacked out and lost her expensive ass coat and i said see that's why you need to wear
button to the top
cover up
that's the Taurus's birthday
wait
you got
you got blackout drunk
at her birthday
it was
that was the thing
let me say
it was
it was the worst day
of my life
we're listening
no we're listening
let's
yeah okay
but it's also like
I can't remember
what happened that day
to make me like
so crazy
no no no
I know but like
before that
yeah she was blackout
the whole day
the whole day
she arrived
that's how I usually
got blackout
it started at the top
of the day
and so I go to Peyton's birthday I'm like oh what am I gonna wear okay cute this like top and skirt
and then I lost a coat that cost I'll say four figures it was what it was like and I'm ashamed
to say it but I need to own it because it's I need to shame myself into like skirt street you
bought that coat yeah it was my birthday gift for myself that I got it was like eight months early
what kind of coat is it it doesn't matter yeah it does they be listening we have people that
Maybe they can replace it.
Do you want a new Loewe coat or not?
It was the Totem scarf jacket.
And it has like...
It's like both of those.
Yeah, it has it attached.
Totems ain't listening to us.
I'm sorry.
We can't help you.
Sorry, girl.
We get you a top shop.
Azara.
Azara coat.
So yeah, so I lost the coat at the first location at the bar.
and then i we went to a different bar and i thought i lost it there but i didn't and then i
went back to my apartment again blackout i had to walk my dog oh didn't know how that happened i
woke up sleeping on my sofa dog out she's always sleeps in her crate i was like what the heck and
then i had to um go get blood drawn and then i had to go to the gym and then i had to go get my
eyelashes done and i had to go to bushback to tape a podcast in a basement why were you getting blood
drawn that's the thing for me that i'm like it was like i had the appointment set and i just
i don't know and like in my in my just trauma brain i was like oh i have to keep the appointment
i can't leave and then i also didn't want to cancel the workout so my trainer wouldn't know
that i was like so messy she knew i wanted i wanted to cover up the mess you didn't think
he was gonna look at you and be like oh i know what happened no and she didn't she was like oh
weird what happened to your arm i was like oh i just got blood drawn yesterday so was it the
blood drawn that the blood drawn thing because you had a blood alcohol content of blackout
and then you went to the gym with the big ass band-aid right yeah and then how did you not
pass out yeah because i'm a godfrey woman okay man no one's got me he's got me and then this
the story is so messy and then in the middle of getting blood drawn the nurse took a smoke break
okay well i love that for her so where you were in brooklyn yeah was there a balcony off the room
like was she fully she fully walked outside she fully i was like where is she going she's like
uh bye it was crazy it was the craziest day so you you cried at her birthday or no you got blackout
drunk yeah okay yeah so i cried the next day i cried you know what would have been like eight
hours later did you get blackout drunk at that birthday yeah it was my birthday okay and that's
her right yeah thanks she deserves this
so what messy things are happening on your birthday besides that yeah no well my birthday
I felt like was actually fine it was 30 so it was like I don't like the way you said it
that felt aggressive
it felt like well you know it's like
they're like young
it wasn't a big deal
just another day 30
30
it felt very
targeted
it was actually insensitive of me
you should have whispered 3
it's 30
but I felt like I just made it
it was like what could go wrong it's 30
like it's so I'm gonna get wasted
and then I like
went upstate
with my friends
the next like
couple days
and played games
how wholesome
oh I forgot about that detail
that I had a flight
the next day too
oh you had too much
going on girl
you had a flight
yeah
you had to bring
half of that stuff
I can't remember what
because I remember
I was texting the bar owner
from my flight
being like
do you see this girl
I think you had a wedding
did I have a wedding
I always have weddings
texting the bar owner
somebody you knew
no
you know
a business man
hey Tyler
hey
black coat he's like what does it look like i was like it has a scarf attached he's like no
damn when's the last time you lost the coat i feel like the last time i lost the coat was like
i don't even remember i'm not losing at a club i know no coat yeah i want a coat so good that
i'm wearing it because it's an outfit i don't want to even put it down like i want to have it
on yeah i don't want to lose it you know what i lose often speaking of being black is my my phone
my cellular device
you lose your phone
which is ironic
considering when I'm
drinking heavily
I'm a back of the Uber
kind of
that's why you lose it
but you're always
taking photos
so I really don't understand that
that's what I'm saying
so it's surprising
that it leaves my hand
I'm .5 backflash
always
I stay strapped
wait
.5 backflash
you use
let me do it now
yeah
I don't
how do you do that
oh my god it's awesome
you
it's I
the youth taught me
I used to be a hater of it
and now I'm a lover
you go
like a back camera
as if I'm taking photo of you
0.5
so it zooms out
and you gotta hit
like a nice 45 degree
angle
a little up
and then you click
like this upside
right here
and when it's night
like when you're out
you should do it
with a flash
and it'll look so cunty
and you'll look so snatched
this is what I'm not
trying to talk to
people y'all age
now we're caught off guard
now we stress
now we in this
yeah wait
it did get tense
oh yeah
well I was trying
to take a photo
why are you doing
this right now
I was turning
I was giving back
I was giving
giving back
giving back
giving back
I'm paying it forward
okay
I learned
I am now a back camera
0.5
flash beach 2
alright
each one teach one
the more you know
we'll all do it
and then
we'll put it in
in the dumps for us
okay thank you
most important question
how many people
is too many people
at a birthday dinner
what a great question
a birthday dinner
I'm telling you
we'll do
that's what we'll do
splitting the check
because that
and we need to end it right there like no more i think like a solid i want to say eight but i'm
going to say six six is too many no i think six is the exact number like i think it needs to be
intimate birthday dinners need to be intimate i think once it's going to table one that's on you
now actually if you're booking like crazy like a big backyard or moment you're paying for that
actually right because now you now have a party yeah yeah versus a dinner and i think like the
whole point of a birthday dinner is like intimacy yes after that it's too much and there's always
for the girls because i feel like they don't know they don't know i think eight is good i think eight
or nine it depends i'm trying to do the math of like is there a head of the table ten yeah same
after i'm doing nine but then no plus ones that's the really big thing oh yeah plus one on a birthday
dinner straight couples that sounds like i'm not gonna say so and so no people are always like hey
can i bring someone and it's like no it's a dinner it's a dinner also it's my birthday yeah
Now I know you're bringing it up.
Because I was like, who does that?
Unless it's a club.
Like, also, you obviously need the plus ones to fill this place.
Totally.
But at dinner, if we're all seated, no.
No.
No.
But then the splitting the check thing is so weird.
I've been to dinners where it's like, you know, some girls like, oh, I just had this one salad.
And it's like, no, you didn't.
Like, I need to be like, no, you didn't.
I saw how many bites you took of everything.
You tasted everything.
That means you're paying for everything.
Yeah.
But not you clocking them.
I'm like, oh, I see everything you got.
What's going on?
You took a bite of the octopus earlier.
so I agree I think like you can't you're either all in or you have to be fully and then everyone
also has to pay for the birthday person's meal yeah and that should not be controversial oh no
no no no no no pay for the that's not controversial okay pay for that I'm saying if I'm watching you
order steak and I'm eating you know I got the little I got the chicken I got the roasted chicken
or whatever I got roast chicken can be crazy though okay well let's make it something small
maybe I didn't get
maybe I got the chicken salad
it's a chicken salad
why are you getting
a chicken salad
on my birthday
listen we going big
or go home
what are you doing
but I'm saying
that there are
there is an
an imbalance sometimes
it's somebody that
they doing a lot
they doing a surfing turf
yeah
and you're like
oh well
I'm gonna just do this
we need to decide going in
because everyone's
on the same level
everyone's like
okay yeah we're gonna like
eat a lot of food
good food
no one's gonna be like
okay like doing the math
in their head
as they're like
no one meeting me
a la carte is mess
pre-fixed only like so we all know we're all spending the same amount of money and if you
want to get drinks or extra like we buying a bottle we doing bottles like it's no none of that
you get this and you get that and we'll share shared plates no that when if it's more than
four people share plates do you hate me i don't want to do that i don't want to share a plate
let's get up let's get two chickens let's get the fish for the table i'm not mad at style yes
I'm not mad at that
but I also am like
then don't invite a bitch
with a complicated
fucking diet
don't invite the
vegan gluten free girl
yeah yeah yeah
leave her at home
I'm an only child
I
you don't want to share
I'm like
and you're a picky eater
I feel like
yeah sometimes
so what you eating
at the birthday dinner
yeah
tell us your order
I don't know what I'm eating
the fish
pasta
I'm eating like a pasta thing
I'm like okay
that's why we can't invite you
to the dinner
are you anti-pasta now
no no no
I think I'm anti-dinners
for birthdays
I think if you want to
take somebody out to dinner
one-on-one that's great but i like an activity i think like uh like somebody renting out a room
we playing games karaoke people come when they can like in and out like love a flow that like
real strict we're doing this i i it's at this point i've done it so many times it's actually
boring now it's actually boring to be with 10 15 people at a dinner i can't even speak to you i
don't want i actually want to i don't want to talk to your mouth is full like we're not having
a good time so i'd rather that being said i will accept a sponsored dinner yeah
come on call that actually
my birthday is september 23rd yes you got a couple seasons to get it together so many
and sydney will be there yeah she complaining but she'll be there
sponsored dinner is cute because then we all know like we're gonna be taking pictures tagging him
and we're not thinking about no check.
The pressure's off.
You're getting the check, okay?
Right, right.
You're getting the check.
Actually, we're helping with the check,
so you should pay us.
So actually...
Actually, it's a business dinner.
Yeah.
We did go to a Michael's birthday.
Oh, yeah.
A segregated birthday.
Oh.
Segregated birthday dinner.
Yeah, all the Black people
actually got there early.
Oh.
It's on one side.
It sounds Jack and Jill-ish.
Is he Jack and Jill-like?
Is that one Jack and Jill?
No.
So, yeah,
every Black person's at one table.
every white person was at another table and it was tell the black people two hours before it
actually started no but we just all happened to be there on time for once it was crazy yeah well
one of okay this is this is birthday michael's birthday related i think the year after i was
like you know everyone just told me i'll put the car down and you know i do this all the time and
i forgot that i put the car down and i forgot eight months later it went through it went through
until six months later totally more and was like this feels weird to venmo request people now being
like by the way this dinner we went to six months ago like what is the cutoff i only had to do it
once with hunter because we stayed at a very expensive hotel i was gonna say so you didn't
request people after that dinner no yeah i got a memo request yeah oh she's good for it you see
that person over there
she's good for it
okay
I didn't know
a little motley crew
before on that birthday dinner
I am
wait
Marie do I
wait do I need to
put my card down
for a birthday
if you want the points
you really should
oh that's what it's about
and if you don't have
a memory of goldfish
you should
it's not really about the love
six months later is wild
so you are in your house
washing dishes
or watering your plants
and then you went
oh
no literally
that's how Raven
like reverse
and you were like
and you went on your phone
and found the receipt
and I was like
and you were like
and I just told myself
it was a thankfully
under six people
it was a small enough dinner
that I was like
this is my gift to Michael
so it was like $400
or $500
no we do a lot of pocket
watching on this podcast
I know it's not you talking
I know it's not you talking
you're the one who said
four figures
my 1099
she got your 1099
for the podcast
damn
and you're like
oh I threw her under the bus
and I was like
no she's got money
you said she's good for it
and you pointed to her purse
and I did
it's a Spiderman
No, it truly is.
And y'all both pointed.
I'm tired of it.
This has been brewing for a while.
I never knew the price of that Coke.
So that was the first time.
You heard it here first.
That's an exclusive.
Another important question.
Has there been a birthday where there's a big ass fallout?
I had a birthday.
We were all drinking and having a good time.
My sister got there late.
I think it was my 21st birthday.
My sister got it.
So just a couple of years ago.
My sister got there late with her friend from college.
and she saw all the drinks on the table
and she just,
I want to catch up to you guys,
just started drinking.
Of course,
my sister threw up at the place.
I want to say she threw up on the table.
Like something messy.
And they, you know,
jazzy-juffed her out of the venue.
Now everyone that had been drinking
was feeling good,
is sober.
And we put her in a car
to go all the way back to school.
And her friend paid for it.
And then my sister had to like,
Venmo her in the morning
and she was like
it was so expensive
why would you put me
in a cab
we put her in a yellow cab
we put her in a yellow cab
so we took the long road
the road less traveled
to get there
well
you deserve
you gotta think about
what you did
truly yes
yeah
and when you're paying it off
you gonna think about
how you just
like you don't
that's not how people drink
as adults
but you know
when you're 17
18 or however old she was
that's how you do it
but did y'all have a fallout
uh
we didn't want to
Talk to her after that.
Is she still your sister?
No, she's dead to me.
Legally speaking, yes.
Legally.
I'm obligated to say yes.
No, but yeah, just don't go to somebody's birthday and like do more than what they did.
Yeah.
I don't think I've had any falling outs from birthdays.
I've just had like when I went to Vegas for my birthday.
First of all, that's insane.
Vegas birthday?
Usher was performing.
So yeah, I went to Vegas for my birthday.
2021?
Yeah, that was.
22?
2020 2022 I think recent yeah okay so that's good okay that is a birthday that's great yeah
yeah and my friend got like so belligerently drunk I mean it was in Vegas with Usher you
gotta get no no not that night the next night when so and I just was like weekend though
and I was desperately trying to get to the strip club and they wanted to take me all these
like heterosexual clubs and I just wanted to see some titties and I was like yelling that
no one wanted to like
adhere to my plan
like you're saying
heterosexual club
yeah aren't the titties
at all the strip clubs
no no no
I went to go to the strip club
they went to go to a regular club
like just like a
straight dance club
yeah
and I
and I got the tits
don't worry
I've found my way
oh
yeah
oh no
you look like the type that
you're gonna get what you want
oh I'm a feminist in the strip club
me
oh god
I'm like
what do you need
daddy warbucks on me
the way I act at
Michael's birthday dinner
constantly in the strip club
my bank account hates
to see me coming
yeah
I love this.
This is exciting.
Don't go to the strip club being cheap.
No.
Never.
Men do.
At least be throwing somebody else's money.
Right, right.
Yeah, but I remember going to the strip club with another comedian and other comedians.
But he was like, I'm taking y'all.
And then he gave us all money.
And then one of the comedians was just being like, one dollar here, one dollar there.
I said, you broke bitch.
if you don't give these strippers that money are you crazy rent is due okay that's so insane
disgusting i was like you should be embarrassed and then i was and then no i smacked it now it's
all on the floor now what you gonna do but you don't do that in a strip club that's insane you
know what i have a i have an issue with like um like because i i am older than y'all girls but i
i used to like plan birthdays and then there comes a point where you're exhausted you don't want to
planned out my birthdays that's where I'm at I'm like I honestly have been like even though we've
been friends for a long time it's like I had a whole nother life where it was like every birthday
was like we going out I'm getting stuff for free we going in a club y'all don't have to pay for
anything another club no sleep no sleep we've seen the Barbie story yeah we're hip to it and so now
it's like now it's about people have to have effort because if you plan everything you do
then people just show up how do you really know if they down for you or are they just like well
everything's taken care of yeah we just coming through yeah my friend right now is planning a
birthday trip for her 30th birthday and like the her level of organization i'm like oh my god you
should do this like for a living like she's so like do you want to go on a yacht day do we want
to do horseback riding all of this stuff and i'm like i don't want to do that i don't i could not
plan all of that it's like no i would plan a wedding if i had that stamina girl not that i
want to plan a wedding wedding planner i could see it maybe it's the first tip maybe it's the
it looks like planner and like the rosy blush yeah planner and things are color-coded with you
you have the sticker tabs yeah yeah i yeah yeah that tracks but i see what you mean about like
the effort to plan a birthday is really a lot and we should get another day for ourselves actually
oh so you have your actual birthday and then another day where it's like just you yeah just
for planning someone else's birthday you get like an extra day i just i feel like birthday trips
I mean, I'm good for a birthday tree.
Yes, yes.
We just went to Morocco for my birthday, and it was...
Oh, cute.
Whew, I did fall off a camel on my birthday.
We did Tulum for my birthday when, like, during the pandemic,
when everybody was like,
don't leave the country, don't leave your house.
We had already left.
We were like, we are.
We didn't know.
I was like, all the influencers that I follow are in Tulum.
Should we go to Tulum?
And everyone in the group chat was like, yes.
And then Sydney was like, let's not post.
And I was like, girl, they know I'm not home.
It's sunny here and I'm happy.
They have my location.
Right.
But we've gone to Miami.
Weren't you just somewhere for your birthday?
Yeah, I went to Brazil.
Oh, come to Brazil, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, the thing is, is that when you go on a trip, it's like, like, this is how we normally go on it.
We just like, we're going to figure it out.
There's like one or two things we know we want to do.
We just kind of leave it loose.
Yeah.
But the last trip we took together.
we were with somebody who like planned it all out no no like down to the hour a virgo and it was
like yeah well a libra oh libra virgo cusp oh and we were like we were tired from doing the stuff
yeah you know what i mean and it's like some people that's just how they plan trips yeah but
i like going on trips with people who plan downtime who like schedule and like okay we
need like at least an afternoon for people like reset we need a nap here before we go out here
yeah yeah what's mess is not having a nap i i so you're saying we've been up since 8 a.m and you
think i'm go go go go go go go go go this is not top model like i'm not doing a challenge if i don't
close my eyes for at least 45 minutes i'll smack all you hoes like somebody gonna die tonight
i need like an hour to be like non-verbal in my bed like oh my god just going through
picks let me scroll right yeah yeah please how long y'all been friends since 2012 yeah we went
to we met in college yeah oh yeah i got some time on you yeah yeah got some years and y'all doing a
podcast together yeah and y'all be hanging out just regular normal yeah everything you're saying
about them is us we've been friends for about the same amount of time we have a podcast together and
we hang out we've done karaoke together before we've done karaoke before okay that's how you
know it's real do y'all have boundaries because everything is all mixed do we have boundaries i
don't think we've had to like a sound like i think we know each other well enough to know when hunter
needs to go non-verbal yeah even if we're hanging out with the group i'm like okay so i'm gonna tap
in because hunter goes waiting for her food or something i'm like okay that's like we have
friends that we love and adore but like are like very overstimulating and like i know hunter's
fuse is shorter for that sometimes so i'll clock in and then i'll clock out and she'll clock in
yeah yeah i think with each other we like know where it's like i'm gonna need alone time or i'm
gonna like i need to just like parallel play a lot of parallel play yeah it's like a dog together
yeah it's like we're just kind of like sitting next to each other but we don't have to like be
interacting yeah i love that i love that that's a strong friendship i'm gonna use that later
so now are y'all the type of people that will hang out and then when you get home
facetime to debrief about what happened just happened or are you you get home and it's like
i'll talk to you tomorrow we usually do after meetings we do that a lot yeah yeah like did
you hear this you'll be on you'll be on the zoom like let me just did you see oh no no like i have
to remember to mute my...
Because all the texts
coming in are literally
like Hunter in a meeting
being like...
Totally, but also
I'm so nervous
about people hearing
my nails.
I hear that.
And it's like,
oop.
I'll go D&D
and then my notifications
will be on my laptop.
Yes.
And it's like,
now what?
Now what?
Ding.
Yeah, ding.
And you'll be like...
The laptop is the op,
for sure.
Yeah.
There was one meeting
where I was in
with another friend
and the guy started talking
and I immediately
picked up my phone,
but you
I thought you couldn't see me
but she texted me
she said girl we can see you
because I was texting like
well why are you texting so hot
because my
you gotta
I was on an iPad
I was on an iPad
so the
the framing was weird
so I thought
I was out of
frame
LOL
Cindy was like this
that would happen to me
on a corporate call
except I was in a bra
and like
thankfully had a sweater
kind of draped over my shoulders
and my
like co-worker friend
texted me like
your tits are out
and I was like for sure
went off camera
I would have been like
how they look
send it to me
yeah
so that was fun
and then you wanted to talk about hair
hair is mess
because we haven't we started with hair right bangs specifically i did cut my bangs and my
friend who is a drag queen and also just like the cuntiest person i've ever met was like oh you
could have just got a wig and i was like oh oh wait hold on like no i oh wait but these bangs
are in because you got the straight to the side mighty they're really greasy right now that's why
we're under we're incognito mode at the moment but like i know the haircut was highly praised
and should be it looks phenomenal on me accentuates my cheekbones thank god but i did think right
after oh what about when it's curly it's like oh yeah you do yeah you do do your hair it might be a
little you're gonna lose like an inch and a half yeah it's gonna look really it's not gonna hit
on my cheekbones it's gonna hit like at my eyes like 2b curls though those still be long she said
2b see she know she know what the texture is 2b curls but also i like because you you like we
gonna make it work you're you're hyping yeah the best yep it's like i would have thought about that
beforehand but i think it looks good yeah i just like to live so so i cut my hair but taking risk
is important for hair because like it's gonna grow back yeah i had bangs for about 10 12 years
it was insane i would not let up and then i met marie and she was like yeah you stay in a bang
in a gold eye shadow
with a cat eye.
Let me tell you.
She was like,
you girl,
you can't.
Sydney used to stay
with a thick,
like a nice,
a nice like Brazilian bang,
but like thick.
And I was like,
girl,
what?
She was like,
I hate my forehead.
It's so big.
And I was like,
you hate it
because you don't see it,
right?
If you never see it,
if you're always with a bang,
you're used to your face
being this big.
But if you just let it,
if you let it cook,
let it breathe a little bit,
then you'll get used
to your forehead.
And you did,
and then you didn't.
I said, is she trying to set me up?
My sister loves a bang.
You know, when she said that, I was like, I touched my bangs immediately.
I was like, is there a problem?
And then, like, because the thing about bangs is it's a whole lifestyle.
It's like you got to get the clothes that match the bangs, that match the mood.
Like, you're not just popping on anything.
like you're not wearing a bang and a hot pink like lipstick unless you're Nicki Minaj it's a
costume you know so I feel like if you do bangs it's either oh you going through something or
it's a full like this is fashion both yeah bisexuality both yeah I'm doing both are you
you're going through something when I'm bored when you're bored you're by all right that might
I like that title
it's like rising bisexuality
sun lesbian
moon
asexual
moon lesbian
right
most of the time
yeah
okay
rising is bisexual
rising bisexual
I give bisexual
and I know that
about myself
I know myself
no I thought you was
I thought you was L
uppercase
really
yeah
L lowercase
I would say more than uppercase
oh
I would
wow
that's so different
than how most people
I think perceive me
it's clear
I don't know you
I don't know
it's like the vest
button down blouse
Well, I look like a dyke right now.
Obviously, this is very specific.
Slap it away.
No, you look like you being Bushwick.
That don't have nothing to do with sexuality.
It's just, you know.
Wait, so that's not.
You pulled out a gun on me.
No, no, no.
She hit the player.
No, no, no.
That was a kill shot.
That was a kill shot.
No, no, no.
That was like direct to forehead shot.
I didn't say you were on the J train.
Okay.
You might as well.
Lormer, but you know.
She said you Uber.
You said you get off at Myrtle Wyckoff, don't you?
That was what you just said to me.
From the Uber, though.
From the Uber.
thank you i'll take it i'm not touching any of that i'm sorry i'm sorry wow lesbian on
lowercase lesbian crime happening here well hold on now pain actually i wish that i was able to
be so like outward like you are like about like about bushwick no not bushwick
her sexuality oh yeah like you you make it fun and like interesting and like oh yeah like i feel
like you can recruit the girls that's what i'm here for yeah when i talk about my lesbian shit
my friends be like oh they got them straight that's great y'all talk a lot she's just showing
up she's just popping up yeah at your job yeah oh yeah but you like just be in a crop top and
just be like girls girls girls and i mean like in a shawl like yes
looking out the windows
with women
shaking
yeah
shaking
cause she's cold
my sister is anemic
representation matters
that makes you beautiful
and Hunter
you're straight
yes
what kind of people
do you date
not for now
girl
girl
what kind of people
do you usually date
men
yeah but like
what kind of
she's like
like I said
straight
that's the homophobia
she said
I'm a man
I'm a man
but that's the church
men
of course men
the pizza at children's church
just leave Dennis
now that was good
that was good
men
you pulled out the AK-47
like creative people
are you dating like finance bros
is he 6'5 blue eyes
you had a boyfriend
yeah
you cuffed up
no
no
damn Sydney
why you a huh
you got old teeth
no I thought I had the research on the people
I clearly don't
you scrolled back too many weeks
I did I dropped back
too many weeks
I'm so behind
I'm sorry
um yeah okay i think you're equal opportunity though just not bushwick yeah yeah nothing about
bushwick is sexy to me i i need someone who loves a bonnet oh so i need someone who is like
like you know those girls who on tiktok who are like oh like bonnet like i would never wear bonnet
to like the airport but i want someone who like loves that for me who like maybe sees it in my
future i don't know so when i said you walked out with a bonnet they wouldn't be like oh my god i
can't believe you're doing it yeah yeah when you say someone who loves a bonnet that sounds like
a white man i feel like a white man loves oh babe you're doing something different with your hair
come on queen
oh my god the bonnet's on as we're going to bed
or you'll be like bonnet are you going to go see your family later like that
babe you look like a sexy pilgrim
I'd take it back
I'd take back the bonnet
no no
those big bonnet who paid me to say that
are sponsored by bonnets
this episode
just so you know
they're coming in ladies
that one from TikTok shop
now would you ever do bangs
no I don't like bangs
I have a big forehead
so maybe in my future a little bit
but this is the thing
I really hate
when white women
have curly bangs
no I love curly bangs
like a curly bang
like this
or like a curly bang
like a big
I love a curly bang
like curls
like in the front
I love that
like a shaggy bang
yeah I hate it
I hate it
I don't like it at all
why?
like an ungroomed dog
girl now that
let's give it a poodle
now you're talking
about the whole club
what girl
you're talking about
Natasha Lyonne
oh my gosh
what does she do to you
did she say no to your product
that's not even who I was
thinking of
I was like oh Natasha
you're like the lesbian
white lesbian haircut
I don't like
a curly bang either though
I had a curly bang before
it feels very like
like fake 70s
like period movie
like set in 1972
but it's like fully we know that was 2014
that's what it's giving to me
sounds like a James Franco project
you know what
I'm a pop out with a curly bang
and I dare you bitches to say that
a clip on curly bang you not fucking with that
not the white man holding it like that
wait
save that cause that will be going in the dump
I found your bangs by the sink
can you put this under your body
I love that
you know what
I do hate
it has nothing to do with bangs
it's just like people policing
people's hair because it's just so
hard to figure it out the whole
there's so much trial and error and like
you walk out you think you're confident
you're like I'm killing it and then somebody
will just be staring at a side of your head
and it's like what what is it
yeah what is it
yeah yeah it's cut wrong
what do you want me to do oh wear a hat
I can't wear a ball
I can't wear a hat to the ball a ball girl
where you going we at the ball
at the ball
We're the bald girls.
We're the Met Gala.
Met Gala is a gala, not a ball.
You're the ball of the Met?
What are you talking about?
The Met Ball Gala.
Oh, maybe it is a Met Ball.
It's the Met Gala.
It's the Met Gala.
Between a gala and a ball.
Wait, Hunter, do you ever wear your hair straight?
Not really.
I hate doing my own hair.
That's the real mess.
Too much work.
You need the cream, you need the oil, but you can't forget the leave-in.
We also need the spray.
yeah and then god forbid you need the special brush but the way it looks when you leave the
salon and you're feeling good about yourself it's not the way it's gonna look when you wake up
no no no and then like if i gotta get up and do it every day my arm hurts when i'm blow-drying my
own hair it's like painful come on rapunzel ow inches yeah so much so many the tresses are very
long wait should we do some like mess versus living do you have some mess living yeah let's
do it yeah uh your friend is unhoused oh but you're like no you can't stay with me
is that mess or living like forever yeah well yeah i mean that's the thing is like you never
know when you don't know you don't know you never know i mean they ask you and you're like actually
I don't want this
is that
is that mess
or living
but I would say yes
and then I just
your house is
available to book on Airbnb
you let anyone stay with you
I do
anybody
the guns are out
I know
I know
Hunter's in a different tax bracket
so she doesn't know about
like kind of letting people
into your home
right
right
I'm giving back to the people
you don't know what strife look like
she know what strife
she had blood work
and a gym appointment
that was her own doing
she chose that curse on herself
she said let me get a glass of water
I didn't sign up for this
I'm going to say living
I would let someone sit with me
you said
yeah
before
but if I said
if say for instance me
and a friend
and I said no
is that mess
and I'm like no
or is it living
because I'm putting up
this boundary
that I don't want you to sit with
oh gosh
I think it's a little bit of mess
I think having a hard time
of like
a hard time out
of like you have one week
or you have like
two weeks
like I think you need
to set a boundary there
but let them into your home
let them
You're like, you got a week, you have 20 days, and then you got to figure out something else.
Yeah.
The boundary is the time limit, not the entering into the home.
Okay, come on.
Sorry.
What's her name?
What's that podcast you love?
We Can Do Hard Things.
Yes, We Can Do Hard Things.
And the Glennon Doyle.
We Can Do Hard Things.
We Can Do Hard Things.
Is that what you learned from We Can Do Hard Things?
No.
And you're in, I'm like, oh, we can do hard things.
The clock ends.
I don't like doing hard things.
They're hard.
That's a mess.
You got to do some hard things.
Like what?
life is hard
I want my life to be easy
but it has to be hard
in order for it to be easy
it is hard
yes
I mean
pulls out a cigarette
like how long do you have
it's a long cigarette
yeah
it's like actually
one of those little clip things
yeah
like Cruella de Vil
yeah
Cruella de Vil
mess or just living
just living
she really is just living
like
what
she can't be fabulous
well you can't
you can't kill dogs
she didn't kill the dogs
she wanted
to kill the dogs
she killed them
and wanted to redistribute their fur.
Oh.
You're the one percent.
You're the one percent.
No, no.
Talk about that one-figure coat.
She knows a good coat when she sees one.
She's like,
she's a sister.
You're going to have to step out.
She said she wanted to re...
What did you say?
Redistribute their fur.
Redistribute is the day of the...
is the word of the day.
That was so good.
Make sure you use it in a sentence this week.
I'm definitely writing that one down.
I'm writing that down.
um friend doesn't like fiance friend doesn't like fiance fiance they're about to get married
they're like this friend can't come to the wedding mess or just living that's mess yeah i think mess
too that's how close of a friend close friend very close so why she don't like the fiance i need
information yeah what do you do some people just don't get along well if you don't get along then
you don't have to be here but did he do something i i you know i can't say all the oh i can't say
everything but i'm just saying this is not personal yeah i just want to say that it is you
don't have to like somebody's fiance or whatever but then it's like why do you want to go to the
wedding because it's like bitch i've been through all these she my friend ran through i should at
least see her at the final yeah at the final on the front row yeah well there's all those like uh
like videos on line or whatever and it'll be like me dancing at my friend's wedding after i told her
to dump him 17 times it's like yeah i'm gonna be at the wedding i'll be there no i want to party
yeah of course i'm gonna be there i think that's i though i'm a big believer in like
my partner has to get along with my people i think it's like a bad sign if depending on how
you're close to your relationships are which like for me i feel really close to my friends
if there's haters that are like this isn't right like i trust them i don't trust myself i trust
them sometimes like hell no i've made some dumb decisions but i feel like if that is like there's
already a bunch of conflict there that's not a good sign to begin with like is this even the
person you need to be marrying okay that's the friend not liking the fiance or the fiance not
liking the friend the friend doesn't like the fiance friend don't fuck with fiance yeah i don't
i'm not i don't really want to be around this guy but wedding is ensue and it's like okay how come i
didn't get that invite well you don't like you don't like my man she's like but i'm i'm there
for you yeah sister yeah but he was like you know she don't like me and the friend was like hey are
you gonna fight for me or not fiance said i'm not paying for that plate yeah and you know i'm not
mad at that no you have the friend has to be right to the wedding yeah yeah because listen she's been
with a friend more than she's been with a man that's a real relationship okay i think we did
the work today is there anything else that you would like to list for the people as being messy
we could lightning round it and then we'll let you go like i feel like we're in midtown midtown
is mess always office buildings are mess wait especially now office buildings are mess it's i
every every elevator bay is different every front desk is different do i take my id out do i need to
pass all that stuff i'm like it makes me nervous office buildings are a mess that one hallway in
this building is a mess no no that now you walk them out i love the different music every time
I walked by.
Oh, my God.
You were not a bit of a guy.
I took a photo of it.
I loved the hallway so much.
Aesthetics was different than the sonic.
Like, I thought I was under attack.
It was crazy.
I knew I wasn't under attack.
They were playing Miley Cyrus.
Every step that you take is a different station.
Right.
So I stopped moving physically.
And I was like, I don't need to be woken up like this.
It really shook me.
So you didn't hear any songs that you like is what I'm hearing.
Well, I was playing my own self-help We Can Do Hard Things podcast.
So you can imagine the peace and serenity.
I was experiencing
with two white women in my ear.
And it was like,
wake me up
and I can buy myself
a glass of tea.
It's so intense.
Yeah, I don't know.
I like to be overstimulated.
I'm going to say
Amtrak is mess.
Oh.
Amtrak business class.
I think it's just
the mess.
It's just living.
We almost died.
No, truly,
we were coming from D.C.,
first of all.
That's already a mess.
Already a mess.
You set yourself up
for the mess.
Hot mess.
We had,
we could expense it,
So we did business class, which was somehow the very last train on the car, back of the bus, her last car on the train.
And we were like, it was like the Wendy Williams thing, like the Wendy Williams gif of her, like jumping up and down.
It was crazy.
It was so bumpy.
I was so bumpy on the tracks.
Yes.
It was it was unreal.
Now, would you rather be on a plane in a drop?
Like which one?
I'm here for Amtrak.
After everything that's been going on, I was I just took the train.
I said, show is nice.
I know I'm going to be okay.
You know what?
Let me walk.
I can see the ground.
Let me walk in the quiet car quietly.
Respect.
Respect.
I think my new thing is I won't take a plane unless Denzel is like the captain.
But he was drunk.
He was an alcoholic.
But he landed the plane.
But they, didn't somebody die?
No.
Well.
Oh.
I don't know if somebody died or not, but.
Yeah.
No, I think that one woman.
But it wasn't his fault.
Yeah.
It was literally his fault.
But it was a plane malfunction.
he did the only thing
they tested
like 20 pilots
and no one could land
the plane except for him
every simulation crashed
yes I do love flight
it's serious
I didn't even know
about the simulation
I just know he was
an alcoholic
who was flying a plane
sometimes you can be both
okay
please not on my delta
you saved that for southwest
not southwest
I want to end this on
thongs or mess
I'm done with them
but you love a thong
I know and I'm tired
it's just in there
and it's just
going back and forth
and it's just
it's just there
and now
are you wearing the wrong size
or the wrong brand
well I will say the poom
is
it's out there
so you know
I might need another size
it's probably that
but
