forever dog all right wow wow wow wow i wish people could see what was happening right now wow wow wow all right on another episode of uh board in the house board in house board um i'm at another location i'm actually not at the studio which was my bedroom i'm at amina's apartment i'm getting my hair braided by the amina amani sydney's getting her hair braided because um you know sometimes when you fail to plan you plan to pass that's what it is and you know that's what's happening right now she's uh she's in a column uh getting her hair braided and but i actually thought that this was a smart idea because this is bringing another dimension to the podcast you know since since we since we don't have a guest this is like guests adjacent

okay to me this reeks of unprofessionalism because amina just did the show three weeks ago thank you but amina is a friend and family of the pod and the people love they stan her i think you love because that's what happened that's how we got where we got you know sydney you could have been like can we do it on tuesday or can we do it on thursday but you were like wednesday when i'm getting my hair figured i'm gonna bring all the equipment to amina's home and i'm gonna turn her house into the studio girl i'm sorry we was watching living single and now we're not you're ruining amina's experience and now i have to be this close to talk on the podcast she's literally on my neck because she's on my neck talking

and i'm moving the mic social distance no no crazy how close they are the same social distancing we had at our picnic yes that maria attended thank you amina your two tags are on cindy's shoulder so as far as i know wow reeks of unprofessionalism freaks freaks um well sis let's just like get into it we obviously haven't been social distancing for a while now i mean social distancing is canceled sis yeah um the the the freaking yeah black lives matter but also they just busted open so quick like everybody's out and about like corona never happened girl girl i was in the city today it was so much traffic yeah it's and even like dropping by my house it's so much traffic i think it's all the phase one people getting

off of work right now yeah but it doesn't feel like corona ever happened i mean you see people wearing masks in like chinatown and like i was on the lower east side they had like maybe like people were splitting a mask with the person they was walking with but for the most part people are back and ready to be outside um i mean we've been wanting to be outside but i just feel like with everything that just recently went on there's a bad taste in my mouth I feel like I can't really be happy about where we're at right now

Amina actually made curry chickpeas and brown rice and you know this is very like struggle vegan and I love it struggle vegan i mean what would get the struggle yeah but her struggle money didn't purchase anything to struggle me deliver here to my house so she needs to say that as well well well unfortunately

i was going to order oxtails and whatnot but um they weren't delivering at the time i ordered because of ratatata so don't even try it okay girl you should have said he cooked before you game here so you're blaming amina i am blaming amina and it's fine it's fine well when you get your hair braided do you bring like a bag of lunch or you like chip in on the food yes you just complain about what she could no i don't complain at all i was ordering the food before i even asked for her food because she offered it and i said no ma'am you know because i would like some meat you know when i oh okay i would like some meat i would like some meat i mean i'll take the brown rice but i would love some steak with the brown rice but it's fine it was great it was

actually really delicious and very flavorful um it would just taste like hey we got everything in order over here and it was great so you're saying it wasn't a struggle meal then no it wasn't i was just being rude classic yes um okay sydney are you wearing a sweater right now i am wearing a sweater because it is 81 degrees uh that you know there's there's acs and whatnot people are thriving like this whole quarantine niggas have pulled out coin on coin they're buying stuff that they didn't have at all like you have ac now okay wow that's that's niggas are buying stuff they never had you have an AC now

Well, I woke up, and I mean, it was like, so we're going to have to do this at 11 because I need to work out. And then I was a little late.

I got here at 11.15, and she was like, don't worry, sis. I'm not ready anyway. And then we proceeded to talk for an hour. which is wild because y'all speak every day for four hours a day what what else is there left to say let sydney tell it she's like this is the first time we're hearing this you opening up like this i was like we talk every day you telling me i don't be talking like this i mean he's being vulnerable today well i just want to talk about transparency that should be the title of this transparency my friend yes we talk every day but because amina is like a taurus rising moon

no you gotta get off my phone are you turning into one of these astrology i think so third time on this zoo she she is very like strong and stubborn and you know she's a bull so yes we talk every day but sometimes we don't be talking about shit we just be on a phone just hearing each other's breaths looking at memes and talking shit but today i feel like we really had a breakthrough last night my friend was not listening to anything i was saying i was trying to get her solid we're like stones solid advice and i was like girl you need to talk to somebody because it's clear that nothing is getting through to you amina had big molly energy she did she did have molly energy and let's get into that let's explain what big molly energy is

explain what big molly energy is yeah okay so insecure is a show about black people but it's you know it's two friends and they're having isa and molly got into it and to me isa maybe is not the greatest friend in the world but she was trying i think more than molly was she was molly wasn't putting any effort into trying to do anything with the friendship because i also think that molly's a tourist because it really really felt like the tourists are very loyal right oh my god who got you this book that you read and you're telling but it's not a book i swear she only looked up my zodiac and that's all she knows ask her about libra rising and and your moon so you tell me about uh libra i don't know nothing about that

hey you should be working on your friendship and not that relationship you got that new ass relationship that is about to end you think they're gonna break up she keeps saying it's the longest relationship that she's ever had and i'm like what's this what i mean he he was barely in the last season he did like the last two episodes and now maybe six months later she's like this is my longest relationship listen they went on one trip and she was like yeah this is the one okay they went on a trip to where did they go they were in south america no mexico okay so no central america no i actually i don't know let's not say what we don't know what it was something spanish yeah right yeah um and so what's when is it too soon to go on a trip with somebody

Amina went on 19 trips in 2019 you got so many friends but anywho let's get it back so Molly and Issa obviously have

a real tiff a real issue the underlining issue is communication right but is it communication because the

the issue started Issa is having was having a block a block party and needed to get artists to come perform

she asked Molly to ask her boyfriend who worked at I don't know Atlantic Records or whatever right and molly's like i'm not gonna ask him to help you because this this relationship is important first she said yes she'll ask then she called and was like oh yeah about that it's not gonna happen yeah she was like i don't want you messing up my relationship what when at the

end of the day what she could have said was hey girl whenever you do something it's just not really planned that well and i don't want to put my name or put my neck on the line for your stunts so or or unless you really gonna come correct let me tell you i'm gonna put i'm gonna ask him but if something messes up just know that this is my last favor and that's it yeah but like but her helping her get an artist for the block party would just legitimize the block party even more the only thing it is is she wasn't feeling her remember circle back to like the second episode and they were in the shop and she was like and also you know andrew's coming so you're connected remember she said that when they were shopping for clothes molly told that to isa because

yeah because isa was she put together an event to get fundraisers and sponsors so isa was already nervous like oh nobody's gonna be there and molly was the one with the generous energy and was like yeah andrew's coming so you know people and then fast forward it had nothing to do with her setting boundaries she's just tired of her and she didn't want to help her but it's like i was reading a tweet yesterday because they was dragging molly and i was it was a long one too people were like uh the people complaining about molly the most have the most molly energy i was like oh my that no but i i would second that i feel like there's molly in all of us and a lot of people don't like to to admit or be aware of that side and so that's

why they're trying to drag it but essentially we when we when we tell our story about when we do wrong or when we do things it's always like dainty we'd be like yeah it was flowers in the garden no yeah and but when it but the reality is you was on that bull you know you was on that bullshit Yeah, but another tweet that I read said that Issa, as a character, has grown a decent amount since the show started. Molly has consistently stayed the same. I don't agree. Molly is trying. She's not communicating.

I mean, she's not doing well at work. Her communication is... She got a whole therapist. How is she not... No, she had to come back. She just came back to her therapist. after they got they got off the plane from guadalajara or whatever yeah she called the therapist that's when she was like oh i got somebody i need to talk to somebody i ain't

gotta talk this out and then her therapist was like sis if you really want a east in your life you got to do the work molly don't want to do the work she didn't do no work she just want to do the blame game and which i've been there because you guys have seen you know how i get down when there's little tips with friends i have a eat you when you have an ego and when you don't want to just be solution oriented and you're very prideful it's very hard to be like well i did wrong too it's it's easy to be like no no no this is all on you you should be saying sorry you should fix this but it takes two to fix a issue right but also sometimes as as we get older we realize that one i don't need that many friends this this is not a popular popularity

contest i don't need 18 people in my close friend in my top eight right who's next you you ready to chop chop chop chop but sometimes you you outgrow your friendships these are people who are not benefiting you and maybe you're growing and they're not or maybe the stuff that you used to be cool with you've outgrown it you're just like oh this this person only ever hits me up when they need stuff or this person is always bringing a sad drama into my life like they're not adding anything so i'm just gonna take them out and do you think the line that molly said was super relevant when she was like maybe who i am now maybe who you are just don't fit but molly's the same person to me is what i'm saying i see molly trying she is she is not trying because

why are you not trying because this is what happened guys if you're not watching if you're not really watching insecure that's racist and homophobic yes especially now especially right now in this climate you should if you were like how do i be better you should have watched all the seasons over the last weekend um so anyway it we zoom all the way in um isa and molly fake kind of made up but not really talk about the real issues they hung out but not really addressed anything wait hold on let's because this is still kind of vague for people who maybe are not watching the show okay isa had a block party okay she asked molly to talk to her boyfriend to get an artist to perform at the block party molly said no she said yes and then she said no so then isa is cool with

her with molly's boyfriend's roommate yes the roommate asked the boyfriend the boyfriend came through no issues with helping out the block party was a success at the block party molly finds out that the boyfriend helped she's not angry at him she goes right up to isa and she said all you do is use people or whatever and she was like upset yeah she made herself look like a in front of her boyfriend that she was trying to be so precious about but whatever um and then they didn't talk for i don't know how long how much time you asked me fast i don't know maybe a couple weeks some time passed a couple weeks isa isa finally so wait isa goes to get food molly's in the restaurant isa turns around and leaves remember like i'm not going in she's like i'm

not going in molly we learned later saw her get out of the car and pretended to be on her phone but she realized that isa had left yeah so isa finally calls her says we need to talk they go to the diner what happens we get to the diner and you know that isa is like trying to ease into talking yes when but in at the end of the day it's like we came here for something i'm not trying to kiki with you sis so what's the deal what's your problem with me why are we not seeing why are you still angry but up top she should have asked for an apology no well you were at my event acting a whole fool hold on i mean you're saying who i mean you're saying who should have asked for an apology should have asked molly for an apology yeah you can't come to someone's event act like that

under any circumstances that okay but if you want to be solution oriented at this it's like okay obviously what happened at the block parry is a build-up from something obviously i want an apology but you gotta work from where the root is before you can get to this sorry that's what i think up top i'm telling you i think that you owe me an apology okay thanks for coming i think you should apologize i can't believe you disrespected me like that at my man you calling me messy you're saying that i'm i'm needy but you are being needy at my event this is not the time or the place for you to be for you to be showing your ass like this but isa was trying to be the bigger person so she didn't want to ask for a sorry and sometimes when you meet people for this this

like resolution sometimes you're not going to get a sorry up top you can't expect a sorry what you can what you can ask for is let's talk about let's hash everything out to get to the sorry sometimes you're just not going to get the sorry okay so right something but you're not but the only person who's not going to apologize to you is somebody who cannot admit that they were wrong or does not believe that they did anything wrong but if i know my friend and i know that they're like a little hard-headed at times and you know um a strong personality uh and people who don't people don't let that they don't let up at all obviously this was a trigger for sydney big libra energy you have to you have to kind of be the bigger person and and kind of put your

wants not a side but understand that in order to get what you want sometimes you gotta you gotta feed them with a little bit of honey but isa is the one who initiated the sit down she did give her a little bit what she wanted molly wouldn't even meet her the rest of the way that is my issue with it yeah because you get there even if isa doesn't say let's talk about what happened you know why you're here sis you i'm sitting in front of this this uh this deluxe pancake breakfast and you know why we're here yeah so then maybe yes it's conflicts are hard confrontations are hard so we don't want to get into it right away we saw how nervous isa was she's asking the waitress for like alcohol she's like talking too much and and molly just showed up you know in a little luke

sat down and was giving nothing molly was mad molly was wasn't there to to to solve anything and it was obvious because when you when you want when you want to fix something you come in humbly you're like okay let's get down to the brass tacks what is the issue but when you come in like yeah i'm right when you're self-righteous with a conflict all you're going to get is well either you guys are gonna you know butt heads or somebody is going to be putting their feelings aside to make you feel better and that this is so funny hearing you talk about this because you were molly yeah we've all been molly that's the whole point we we have all been molly but i'm saying in terms of like the last time we talked about a conflict yes sydney was in the molly

right absolutely absolutely she learned her lesson but but i'm different from molly because i i believe that I'm always putting my feelings aside and being the bigger person because I want to keep my friends. I want to keep these people in my life. I want to fix things. That makes you different. That makes you different because Issa said

she's always the one who reaches out to Molly. Molly doesn't ever hit her up after they had an argument. But I don't think we're meeting Molly where she's at right now. You gotta understand she just went through that whole situation with old dude. The one dude that was married that she knew better? Yeah, but that's a whole lot

she got to process her dad she found out about that and then now she's in this new relationship where she has to bend and fold so much sis is exhausted from her own life she's at a job where they're not promoting her to be her best they want to see her fail so like yeah i'm saying she's trying personally i'm not saying she's trying with isa but right now she exhausted she don't have patience but why are you in a relationship where you bending over backwards and because She's not bending over backwards for him. She is not bending over backwards for him. She's not bending over backwards for him.

She isn't bending over backwards. She's right now side of the race. That's a bend. Yeah, but that's not bending over backwards. That's bending over forward for him. But I'm saying, like, she didn't want to go hang out with him and his brother. Like. um which is which is which is fine but i i think the bigger conversation is um you know losing a friend letting go of things that yeah just doesn't suit you anymore that doesn't replenish you that doesn't challenge you to make you a better person those things are hard

and even if people tell you oh you should want to fix it but if you don't then like you don't have to on period sydney how many how many group chats were we in that dissolved because the people in the group chat not cool with each other no more sometimes yes so many grow your friends yes so many but like i don't know isa and um molly had energy of like people who've been friends since college or like they they seem like you know they've been friends for like 10 plus years so for you east so they're at molly's house and molly isa thinks she's having a good night they're they're laughing they're drinking alcohol together it's cute molly sends a text message it says see i'm trying with her but she accidentally sent it to isa so isa got up and

left yeah like oh this is work for you i thought we were having a good time she gets up to leave and then molly hits her with the maybe who i am and who you are is not maybe we not cool whatever the hell she said but it's then like then it's like bitch why you didn't say that at brunch like i don't why you got me on me here looking stupid and trying and like feel like i'm kissing your ass when it's not a mutual thing well that hangout wasn't planned it was molly really just like okay let me try right okay but we needed molly to try at the diner not at your not at your boyfriend's house try when it's just the two of us and also if you know you're a bad actress and you can't act like you want to be there then you need to say no yes don't stop saying stop

signing up for shit if you're not gonna go all in because once you say yes then i expect you to show the fuck up but andrew is just making her feel bad for not doing the same thing with his brother so sis was just on some all right let me let me just see what i can do yeah but i don't want to see what you can do yeah not now but also isa thought that the diner thing went well that i think is what the issue is he says like oh we might not be 100 but we talked and we laughed and i thought it was a little delusional let's talk about how she thinks her life is good right now and so like we can't really trust her judgment at this point but but the thing is that we watch them but the thing is is that isa just wants to be happy and that's where i kind of relate with her

with that because i've been in that place where it's just like well let me just look at the things that are good why do i have to break down every little thing because then that's going to take me into a hole and make me be like well what is it what's the point why why should i even put myself out there so she's rekindling thing with um her ex lawrence shout out to everybody who got back with an ex during the quarantine you're like i can't get no new no new puss or cooch or dick or whatever i don't have time to like get to know a new yeah i need to know okay this is this is um familiar yeah so you know how you throw something in the recycling and uh you don't throw the recycling out and then you go back into the recycling like well i think i can still use this

bottle for something um that's that's how it was for quarantine did that did that analogy make sense i mean i was told that you were not recycling that's what i was told okay but i recycle now i recycle okay new new new year new year i don't recycle during the quarantine but i'm just saying i recycle now okay i love this for you yes ma'am maybe you got i mean is this good for you because the way that you talk right now i'm like wow well i've been talking all fucking night i stayed up all night with um another friend and then came here and i just on the phone with all night for um not on the phone but just stayed up all night just talking to a friend just you know good yeah not on the phone her landlord says no no

i was talking to carolina all night because you know friends having problems with friends so yeah friends don't let friends go to bed yeah so it's just like you want to look at the positives and then you don't want to break down everything to until it's not until it's broken so she's she's in the clouds and she's just trying to she's trying to do the best that she can molly or isa isa isa i don't know isa's immature isa's immature insecure um molly is i don't know if i would call her immature but like she found out that her dad cheated on her mom 20 years ago and was upset about that but no one else in the family is affected like but it's also like girl you was with a man who was all the way full-blown married girl

sit have a seat not only were you with a man that was full-blown married you were hooking up with him in a bathroom at an event that his wife was also at so now you want to be self-righteous but now you're like you cheated on mom how could you do that it's like how could you sis how could you be pussy popping on a on a sink in a balthazar like a balthazar no a red lobster sink sis yeah yeah um i don't know i don't know i mean i i will say that they should have put this episode like all the things that are happening in quarantine vibes and if it was a quarantine they would not have lasted the first week they would have stopped being friends because the this quarantine yes this quarantine has tested the fuck out of all of us we have no

patience we are exhausted we've talked all the way we can talk we have no patience but we have so much more time we have more time time to reflect and like stew in the fact that some somebody wronged you in some way and then it also gives you time to be like all right well maybe i'm do too much you don't you find out you're doing too much way too late but whatever i mean it's fine it's just it's yeah but at the end of the day you're like i only want the people who are gonna make a bad situations better and i only need a good circle around me so it's the third month we are chopping people there is no new no new friends legit we don't have the capacity now if the friend now if the friend has a rooftop in a backyard that we could social distance and

then you know we put it back in and we'll put them in a circle and a boat and a boat we'll put them in a boat yes put a boat on the fishing board uh i don't know i think you could also look at it this way three months into the quarantine maybe you're tired of talking to the people you've been talking to every day for months one and two and you're like let me see she's hot let me see what this girl from uh sixth grade is doing i see you married the kids is all ugly but no i'll talk to you like you know what i mean like don't tell us how you really feel marie you taught us every day no but i'm saying that it could be that like you could be somebody who is you're you keep the circle small and you don't want to add anybody new to it or you could be

somebody who after a while you're like okay well i need a future yeah yeah that's true you're that's valid but you know oh man friendships at this point is kind of like yay but also like and then it's like i'm trying to maintain my own like mental stability but then i gotta take on everybody else's emotions and i gotta listen to other people's problems and then i gotta avoid my own problems and then i gotta go get a therapist to work out my fucking problems and impact that shit and then i gotta be that's called being an adult yeah yeah yeah but like people are gonna fucking make mistakes but you're gonna look back at this but you're gonna look back oh go ahead go ahead no go ahead i just feel like she's gonna look back and it's gonna be worth it a lot of

this stuff is hard now but it's not always going to be hard who's gonna who's gonna look back molly or i saw oh i took it back to city oh city yes yes sure yeah sure okay that was your tip sis i'm just saying amina imani hot take i mean i i definitely was like yo i i like it definitely has made me closer to you girls because it's like yeah we were talking about bullshit a lot of days but there was also so many moments where we're like okay this is what we need to do to do better and be better and focus on the bigger picture when you know there was days that it's so dark we're so angry we're pissed off we're like do we have careers and if you have the right people that's like

uplifting you to make sure that you hit your goals then boom it's not that bad but i think that's part of being a good friend to somebody is you should be uplifting them when they need it But you should also be telling them when they mess up, not like not, you know, like a mother way. But like if you care about your friend and you and you feel like they could be better or they messed up in some way, then I think that you should you should be able to talk to them. And if they take offense or they're upset, then you maybe give them some time. But I don't think that it's a reason to stop talking to somebody. yeah if if they're not coming at you disrespectfully you know and it looked like molly ain't got a lot of friends anyway so it's just like you're just gonna cut isa out your life so she has no friends
