i don't even trust me anymore yeah so i paid this woman's little deposit and then we went to ikea
and we she like built out the closet and i paid for it and i said put it on my card and that's on
uh i don't marie's living incorporated is that what it is you know what i'm gonna take you guys
on the whole adventure
of the closet
and beyond
because I want to get rid
of a bunch of stuff
in my apartment
and I just don't have
anywhere to put it.
Throw it all away.
But you know who
we're not throwing away?
Our guests.
Our guests!
Damn, our guests.
We got a great ass guest.
I mean, you're a legend.
She literally was
one of the first people
to do our first iteration
of the podcast.
Oh, yeah.
Yes, ma'am.
When we were doing the pod
in my friend's apartment.
Yeah, Anthony's
former friend.
Former friend.
May he rest in peace.
I think he's
a trump supporter now or he's always been um but yes this this guest is near and dear to our heart
she is a new yorker but somehow is on the west coast which we are upset about that but she is
not only thriving on all of the televisions and movies and whatnot she's also thriving in our
hearts give it up for greta tidal mass wait marie i'm so excited because what we're talking about
today I feel really applies to what you're going through in both home decor and closet clean out
now let's talk about your closet situation I know you got don't let her speak on it I went to the
new home in Los Angeles and I said Greta do you do you need to adopt I think you might need to
adopt a little a little baby it's a woman girl in closet it is it is a whole room bitch it is
I'm shitting on all you hoes.
Whatever closet y'all think y'all got, she got it.
Here's the thing.
If you're going to be forced to live in Los Angeles, you need to have a walk-in closet.
And not just a walk-in closet.
You need to have a room that is a full-ass closet.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And Abe and I, you know, we don't have a kid.
Abe and I, that's her husband, y'all.
Just in case y'all don't know who he was, but Abe, her husband.
I can't wait to be an end-eye.
I can't wait for you to come over and come to my closet.
Honestly, one day when I was had a little pool party and I was very high on mushrooms,
I did determine that my closet was a portal.
I was like, it's a portal.
And I don't know what it is, but it's magical in there.
So the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.
Yes.
The life that you're living now.
Period.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So you have a closet.
I feel like you always get very like statement pieces.
I feel like you really invest in quality materials.
I don't really catch you in a polyester.
It's not really your thing.
No.
No.
And I like that.
No synthetic fibers for you.
I want that for us.
They make me smell bad.
They do.
We were talking about that, like, I don't know, a couple of episodes ago.
Here's my thing.
Yeah.
When all of us are booked and busy and acting in amazing shows,
a lot of the time the costuming is like, you know, some Zara shit.
some Zara shit
Zara has gotten me through some
tough times so watch your fucking mouth
listen to what
listen to what I'm about to say
I really
fuck with Zara because
they make really cute shit
but I stink
I stink after I wear
some of that shit
it's true I mean
and I know that you're eating well
you're taking care of your body you're doing pilates
Adi, Adi, Adi.
Adi, Adi, Adi.
You're still doing a cleanse since you live in L.A.
Yeah, so it's not you.
Because you know some people, they just stank.
It's just them.
I have a medical condition where I can't wear synthetic fibers.
I'm so sorry.
I'm allergic to cheese.
I'm so sorry.
I simply can't.
If it's flammable, I can't.
Girl, you talk about my hair.
How dare you?
Watch your mouth, Greta.
You coming in hot, friend.
She got off the plane and said, let me drag everybody.
No, I will say I am wearing a synthetic.
I am wearing a fake leather pant.
Is that a leather?
Is that a polyurethane or whatever?
Leather's in.
This shit is making me sweat.
Is that Stella McCartney?
These are my friend's company, Meow.
Shout out to Meow.
Oh, Meow.
We do like Meow.
I ordered some pants from them that were, I don't know how much, but they didn't have
no pockets.
And I said, I spent too much money on these to not have a pocket.
I will report the concern.
Friend from Meow, if you want to send some thangs to Mess, we will gladly wear them on
the pod period pod i mean on the stage on the stage yeah i'm a i'm a two two four six eight
any size really yeah yeah but i did want to come on this podcast i don't know how do you usually
intro the topic it's a show it's called mess absolutely it's loose but you're here to answer
the question are trends messy and i'm here to say firmly yes okay why why are trends so messy
Give us, give us your, what's your starting point?
Yeah, I was going to say, let's start at the very beginning.
And this is a question for both of my gorgeous gals.
What was the first trend you remember like really participating in?
Like that item that you were like, oh my God, I need that.
Or like, I'm dying to own this or whatever it is.
Probably something in like middle school.
Yeah, it was like a, like a foam platform sandal with like, had the two big straps.
Do you know what I'm talking about?
I don't even remember what they're called,
but it was like a phone specific.
You are specific with things.
Let's remember a time capsule for sure.
I do.
Rocket dogs.
Type in rocket dog wedge flip-flop.
Because those are actually low-key so cute.
Oh, God.
Maybe I'm not from the...
I don't know.
Maybe I don't know.
We can bring those back.
Do you wear those now?
Yeah, I would.
I was actually debating getting a pair.
Okay, it was this wedge,
but it had two straps.
Let me see.
Oh, you mean like a cross.
Yeah, a cross.
It was like the Lizzie McGuire sandals.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yes. This is where this was paired well with a juicy couture.
Terry cloth. That's what set. So, yeah, no, I remember those.
Jessica Simpson loved sandals like that. Now, my first trend, I don't know if it was a trend, but remember Clueless came out.
And I mean, I watched it over and over and over and over and over again.
I wanted to be Dion bad. So I remember going to my first day of school, ninth grade, dressed like Clueless.
Like I had the plaid set in the chunky platform, like Mary Jane's.
No, no hat.
But I was in Harlem and the kids were absolutely making fun of me.
OK, but see, hold on.
These both both of these things sound really good.
They sound good.
But it was everybody that I went to school.
They were wearing Jordans.
They were wearing Sergio Valente's.
Remember Sergio Valente's jeans?
Those would be the baby fat jeans.
jeans uh the pepe yes they were wearing very like street wear and I was coming in like my dad and
it's like but you don't have one so what are you doing like why are you cosplaying a rich person
you absolutely are poor um but with style and so yeah where was the outfit from oh my mother had a
Bloomingdale's card and so she would constantly you know when she was trying to I guess repair
our relationship, she would, she was, she was
in a bag. Oh, Lomondale's car. That's nice.
She would spin a bag. She'd take you on a shopping spree.
Yes. I remember when I was in
elementary school, she got me one of these Clueless,
but it was tweed, and it
was absolutely 80 degrees.
So I went to recess in
this tweed, like, blazer skirt,
the knee-high
stockings, and I
was sweating. I was, used
to press my hair. Oh, it was
poofed out. Girl, you looked like that young Michael Jackson
when you got home. Absolutely, yes.
I stand by that.
Billie Jean.
I'll be there.
I'm looking at the man in the mirror.
I'm talking about baby Mike with the little fro.
Not when he was a white woman with the, you know.
More like ABC's Jackson 5.
Yeah.
No.
Really, baby?
Oh, yes.
I wasn't with the perm.
No.
Because it would have stayed.
I always wanted to get a perm and I never got a perm.
You?
Yeah.
I would see you like that.
Did you want to get a perm after you saw Legally Blonde?
Oh, my God, trendy.
Yeah, wow.
That was a trend.
Perms were a trend.
Perms were very trendy.
Apparently, the perm is back.
See, this is not what I'm saying.
Okay, talk to me.
You're describing the sandal that you really wanted,
and you're describing going looking like Dion,
and now this is truly what the kids are wearing today.
So I'm kind of wondering,
are we just, like, stuck in weird trend hell
where, like, everything just circles back every single decade?
Well, that's what my mom used to tell me all the time
because when bell bottoms came back,
I was like, I don't have new pants.
And my mom was like, we used to wear those.
That's not new.
And I was like, shut up.
You're wearing straight pants.
Yes.
And my dad still had all his old flare suits.
It was really funny.
But yeah, that's what's, fashion is cyclical.
It is.
But it's like some trends, I think you just look like a fucking fool.
Like, I remember in, let's say, 2009 or 10, the Isabel Marant.
Oh, the wet sneaker.
I wanted those so bad
and they were so expensive
and I remember
the girlies were going
to Barney's
and everything
I remember Atrium
yes
yes of course
and all the best denim
would be at that store
the girls were getting
the shoes
yes
and I needed a pair
so bad
because I was like
there's no way
I'm like working
as a bottle girl
in New York City
and I don't have
one of those statement pieces
those cute little black
like with the half suede
half leather
the burgundy one
obviously the iconic cream
I didn't get them ever
but I like wanted
I want them now
they're so ugly
they are back
but wedge sneakers
it's something about
a wedge sneaker
that that screams
you're not cool
I had a wedge converse
no
recently
no no
is it wedge
or platform
platform converse
cute
no
I had a wedge
like converse
that I think I had
for
maybe one month
in the seventh grade
and I like wore them
and I remember
feeling like a
fucking clown like they were so bad then I was like in my mind I was like oh this is a hot shoe
yeah yeah no I feel like the thing about that is everything is really kind of ugly when you
think about it just a little bit just you just need one cool celebrity to wear it and then people
are like wait a minute well I guess I also need that we had like I guess Mary-Kate and Ashley
and Rihanna, in my mind,
are like the people
that ruled the early aughts.
Well, what were the trends
that Mary-Kate and Ashley had?
It was like big coat, tiny body.
Big coat, tiny body,
huge Balenciaga bag.
And the glasses.
The big glasses.
And the big glasses.
Yeah.
I mean, and the hair.
The Balenciaga bag,
the big rectangle.
Yeah.
The hair was always
going to be dry.
It needed to leave in
immediately.
It was always going to be like
frazzled.
Yeah, fried, dyed,
made to the side.
My tie blow out
from dry bar.
You know, the trend that I thought was never going to go away, thin eyebrows.
They're back.
They are back.
But they were never end.
They were never end.
And it always looks like you are shocked when you're talking.
Oh, yeah.
Or like, you're like this.
That's it.
Just a straight across your brow face.
Yeah.
I remember using the, like, remember when they would have the individual razors for just the eyebrows?
Yes.
And I would make sure that I would do my mom's eyebrows.
And me and her, there was a picture of us at Dallas BBQ with the same freaking eyebrows.
I remember the waiter, when they were trying to take our order, and they both looked at us like,
Okay, you guys are related.
I see this, yeah.
I see this, I'm screaming.
Not Dallas BBQ.
Dallas BBQ, yes, honey.
Which location?
Delicacy.
Yes.
In the New York food scene.
You get the hypnotic floater on top of their drinks.
No, they didn't have hypnotic.
Tennessee, you know, it was dark liquor.
No, I always did the pina colada.
It's like a test tube.
I went to the Pina Colada with my mom.
But it was the one that was by Talbots.
Talbots.
Talbots?
Talbots.
Where?
On the Upper East Side.
Talbots?
Yeah, Talbots.
Talbots.
T-A-L-B-O-T-S.
That was also a, like, a trendy place at the time.
What do they sell at Talbots?
I feel like loafers for women who hate people.
Braids.
It feels very, like, oversized, buttoned down.
Override coats.
Yeah, a peacoat.
Felicity.
Like, it felt very, like, WB.
Yeah.
11 girlies mom
yes
it's very Republican
it is very Republican
whoever went
if you're still
shopping at Talbot's
is Talbot still open?
girl
Talbot's died
it might be
it might be gone
just like
Filene's Basement
I loved Filene's Basement
when I was a kid
now that had
all of the trends
no they had everything
at a discounted price
and it deserved
to be discounted
because it was like
we're paying full price
for what
this is not going to be in
in the next six months
that's the problem
with trends
trends are messy
because if you
hop on them then you're spending like too much money yeah and if you just wait for it to be out
then you'll get it for the real price it should be right which is nothing because they are bad
it costs nothing to make most of this clothes yeah it's crazy what the and now because of fast
fashion everybody is making more clothes every year because it's like they're trying to keep up
with Shein I know which is crazy you think Shein's messy Shein is stealing from the high-end designers
which I'm like, they are essentially probably stealing from a smaller brand.
Yes.
All of you.
It's like it's it's everyone stealing from each other.
Yes.
But the American way.
But the problem with like Shein and ASOS and even Zara and H&M and all this shit is just
like the sheer volume.
Do you guys remember when there was a someone found a rat or like a mouse in their Zara
coat?
No.
Girlfriend.
Yes.
Where?
And I'm going to bring up the photo.
Girl, bitch, bye.
I will not.
I'm not Googling any such thing.
Zara coat.
You guys, it wasn't like the post.
I was baptized in Zara.
I don't want you speaking like this.
In part about my family.
It's sewn into a woman's new Zara dress.
Look at this.
Look, not the hand.
Wait.
Wait, it's a big ass thing.
This happened in New York?
The hand is just sticking out.
The hand is like, girl, girl, my size is zero.
The camera can see it.
We will include it in the dump because whoever did that,
because that's not, maybe it was machine stitched.
It was something, something terrible.
Because a person didn't do that.
The rat was sleeping.
No, I think the rat got in.
Maybe the rat got in through the hole and then it would like,
maybe took an edible and fell asleep and it wasn't supposed to get out.
Sometimes you go out with your friends and then you wander off somewhere
and then you get fucking loose and lit by yourself.
and then you just like,
you're in a corner.
You sort of tuck in
and then you wake up.
But it wasn't moving.
Yeah.
Imagine you're wearing your coat
and it's just like,
and you're like,
girl, stop playing with my...
If it started moving,
I would have freaked the fuck out.
But I will say...
Now, can you sue Zara for that?
She did.
Oh, damn.
I wish that would happen to me.
As much as I'm in that bitch,
I wish that I found like a big ass bug
or some random fly or a bird.
Girl, a fly.
You get nothing for a fly.
But a rat.
I iconically worked at Intermix for a very long time.
When I tell you I used to give them my money every fucking week
and I was cool with one of the associates and she was black.
Which location?
I would go to the one that's in Soho that was right on Prince Street.
And the problem was that I was caught up in all those trends.
Anytime something new was coming in, I was like, I got to get it.
I got to have it.
And I would be spending $500, $600.
Remember J Brand jeans had just came out.
Of course.
All these like high end denims.
and then
three years later
I had to give
all the stuff away
of course
it was just like
the fit wasn't right
it was low rise
we would have
incentives
to like move
Rag and Bone
when it first came out
or J-Bram
when it first came out
like all those things
Rag and Bone
is still a thing
it's good too
good quality
but Intermix
was really like
the epicenter
of designer trends
for a very long time
and I do remember
we would like
whatever
that's like
hardly even a company anymore
but we would like
hide things
in the back
like we'd hide things
that you wanted to
buy
I'm like super
but we'd wait
to your point
until it was like
so so so so so on sale
that when you applied
like I wanted this
Chloe mixed denim
button down shirt
that my dear friend
unfortunately did lose
at Sugarland
in Williamsburg
I thought you were
going to say your friend
died in it
I was like
that my friend did
unfortunately die in
I was like
oh my god
the rat died
the rat died
the friend died
Fashion is murder.
But this Khloe shirt retailed for like,
now it probably would be like three grand.
But at the time it was like 9.50.
And I remember hiding it and waiting and waiting and waiting.
I held on to this thing in the fucking stock room for two years.
Two years, girl?
Yes.
Two years is too much.
I didn't know you worked there for two years.
I thought you were going to say for like a couple months.
You know how long I worked there?
How long you worked there?
I started working there in high school.
I worked there for like six years.
Oh, wow.
Remember the cards that you, like, they would have, like, you would get money off?
Yeah.
She would give me some of the cards that were, like, $100.
Yeah, a little gift-y poo.
Yeah, you know, you're spending money.
And I would always have cash every single time.
And I would go in my Mark by Mark Jacobs bag.
Not this exact one, but, like, the concept.
Trust me, I have looked for this fucking thing online to try and find it again.
I can't find it anywhere.
That's another trend.
Mark by Mark is back.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Mark Jacobs is doing his thug thistle.
Because I remember when I got that bag and I was like, this feels like it's upscale, but it also feels like a dupe.
But it made me feel like I'm a woman with money.
Because it wasn't Marc Jacobs.
It was Marc by Marc.
Marc by Marc.
Right.
It was like, not Donna Karan.
It was DK and Y.
Right.
Yeah.
A diffusion line.
Right.
Not Armani, whatever.
You know what I'm talking about.
Not Giorgio Armani, but Armani Exchange, which she found out actually has nothing to do with Giorgio Armani.
It has nothing to do.
It has nothing to do.
I did not know that.
Yes, when I found this out, I was like, it was like my whole world.
So what you're saying is that's like polo and polo association.
Yeah.
Nothing to do.
No big here.
It is a glass house, baby.
And it is just throw one little rock and you're both in shock.
Armani Exchange, you liars.
Yeah.
And I think Armani Exchange is a front for something because I'm like, who is keeping this store alive?
And it's still in Soho.
I know.
It's crazy.
Do they still have their Fifth Avenue location?
Forever 21 is shut down.
Atrium is shut down.
Atrium is now Kith.
Kith, that it is.
Kith.
What was that other store?
Necessary Clothing?
All these places are shut down, but Armani Exchange is still thriving.
And I don't know a single person that owns a single Armani Exchange place.
I don't know anybody who's launching.
Well, here's my thing.
If Armani Exchange is still in business, there's no reason on God's green earth why Wet Seal isn't.
Now, Wet Seal...
The teens were keeping that place alive for as long as we...
But there was...
The last Wet Seal that I know was on, like, 14th Street.
Wet Seal is truly...
That is ho.
Wet Seal is a ho destination.
But also, it was giving ED, because there was double zeros.
A lot of C2C.
What the hell is a triple zero?
They had triple zero jeans, and I wore them.
It's basically one string.
It looks like this.
These are pants.
you know what made me so upset because it made me so happy when i was in college
Ugg boots
Ugg boots
Very trendy
They're back
I don't know if they ever
Really went away
But I remember
They did go away
I remember a time
Where people were like
Ugh you're in an Ugg boot
But now
They're rebranding
Yeah
They're making them
More expensive
And more hip
Like the Balenciaga ones
Or the platform ones
Or the ones that like
Are like mixed with leather
See this is what I'm saying
This is when trends get messy
Because it's like
We don't need
Don't cross contaminate sweetie
Stop
Throwing your stuff away
Just wear it again
In ten years
But also with the Ugg boot, this is a perfect example.
It's like, hey, this episode is sponsored by Ugg, so watch your mouth.
Well, you know what, Ugg, and our money exchange, I do think that Ugg, an Ugg boot that should forever go away, and I never want to see it again.
Remember the knit Ugg boot with the buttons?
No.
Oh, that folded down.
I never saw that one.
It looked like a sweater.
It was awful.
It was a big-ass button on the side.
It was terrible.
I thought that was a dupe of it.
Criminal.
I didn't know that was a real one.
It's like this kind of design, when I see these kinds of designs, I'm like, what is the person on?
Like, what is the combination of the person?
Since we're talking about boots, let's talk about a trend that I never got behind.
A peep toe ankle boot.
Or a peep toe long girl.
Are you hot or are you cold?
Oh, no.
That's rough.
Yeah.
Now, let me tell you what this girl is.
This girl is going down to the DMV.
she's not picking a number she's going up there and be like hey i was here yesterday
yeah and y'all didn't see me she is she is giving nothing but attitude and she's the type
she's the type to have dry shampoo at the bottom of her bag with no top on yeah yeah yeah that's
a specific woman yeah she's gonna get she's gonna get what she wants i was gonna say she
always gets her she always gets what she wants this woman and guess what she will look at you
and not give a fuck
about her
until she gets what she needs.
I have a boot
to show you guys.
Wait, Marie,
the peep toe...
Well, that's like
a cabaret shoe.
Wait, what is it?
It's a peep toe...
The peep toe boot.
Now it's a thong.
That's awful.
I hate it.
I hate those boots.
It's awful.
It's disgusting.
It's so ugly
and I'm sure they're
$1,500.
Just...
I will pull on that.
Where they're from, yeah.
But the thing is
is that those,
the girls who wear that,
they are
the epitome of
fashion girlies that don't know fashion sure because it's like why is the back of your heel
covered oh i can't stand but that you know what that shoe signifies a good time in the club
well yeah we're at their at their peak when there's a like a there's a carlo santana boot
your big toe bleeding
Girl, the Carlos Santana boots.
Okay, but wait, you would actually, like, kill it in this boot.
No, because I have, like, I don't know, what is it?
The toe next to my big toe?
Shut up.
It is layered.
It is layered over the other, the middle toe.
This is the 20...
Oh, no, no, no.
This is the 2025 version.
It's Fida Nuvrazova.
Essence is showing us some crazy things.
But there's a it's like a bunch of different designers have that same style.
I think a Balenciaga has nine hundred and thirteen dollars.
That's the sale price.
No, it's this scary.
This is scary.
Girl, who is this?
But you know, the thing is that the Simpson in 2010.
But that's like, oh, no, that's Danity Kane.
Show stopping.
Show, show, stop it.
Those are the show stopping shoes.
This is we in the car.
now I will say this with these boots right because I am a boot in the summer girl it's like you have
to pick a side either you're gonna sweat and your feet are gonna stink or you're gonna wear sandals
you cannot do both no because your calves are sweating yeah and I will say this summer was
definitely a boot summer like the girls I had them on I had boots on in the summertime I love boots
I love a little cowboy boot.
Well, I wasn't doing it before.
The boots I'm wearing now, guess what?
I was wearing them in the summer.
Yeah.
And that's a trend that I think that should transcend.
It should be, boots are not seasonal.
I think boots can happen in any season.
I agree.
And you should not let the weather stop you from what you want to wear.
If it's 90 degrees, please don't put a boot on.
Please.
Yeah.
If it's 90 degrees, please put on a tall patent leather boot.
I think you could do that.
But if you have like a little meow skirt.
cute little mini show off that leg
tiny little tank top
no bra
wearing band-aids as a bra
these shoes are so ugly
Jeffrey Campbell has them too
I'm sorry
this is crazy
hey Jeffrey if you're listening would love a pair
of your you know peep toe
boots with the calves
closed you know who this girl is
this girl
is going to run fair in this
boots. What's that? The renaissance fair.
The renaissance fair. I've been to
a renaissance fair. We went together. Yes, we did.
We went patty and mag. Yeah. It was interesting.
Yeah, we had fun. Those people were really specific.
They were very specific. And we had a turkey leg.
We did. It was dry. It was dry.
It was not what I wanted, but. We had a turkey leg.
Well, turkey is dry, famously.
That's a dry beach. But, like, the turkey
leg. Leg, yeah. You would think it would be juicy.
That's, I feel like, that's a little ass.
Yeah.
Oh, you know a trend that
I'm glad that they should never bring it back, a peplum top.
Oh, hell.
Peplum?
Peplum.
Oh, I almost wore a peplum today.
I was going to say, you look good in a peplum.
I literally put one on today, and I was like, no.
You look good in a peplum, though.
Marie, you look good in anything.
Because it gives me the illusion of hip.
Well, you have hips.
No, it doesn't do anything for—
It just goes—
It's just a weird shape.
It's like, okay, so what if I have titties, and then I have this, like—
It's a, it's a fake, like, it feels like a collar for your waist.
Girl, that's not as bad.
Here's what I'm going to say, though.
Me in a peplum, it's giving Trump.
Oh.
I think me in a peplum is very, like, I do support everyone.
It's giving Gwyneth.
Yeah.
It's sinister.
Now, could you do a bubble skirt?
Yeah.
But I think my tits are too big for a bubble skirt.
Really?
I have theories on this.
big tits that was a trend everybody wanted big tits at a time and now we're taking it back well
there was a moment where it was like we everybody had to have the model like yeah basically like
triple a yeah nipples hard no bra and that was a thing i feel like that happened early like 2005
well it was also like speaking of ed like peak back to tumblr days back to the olsens yeah back
to, like, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
Like, all the people that we were seeing
were so thin.
Yeah, but to me, Paris Hilton, respectfully,
never had a great body.
It was always very...
It looked like this microphone for me.
I always felt like she was...
It was too narrow all the way around.
It was too...
You know what it is?
It was her butt.
Her butt went in.
It's not the body, it's the butt.
It's the butt.
Yeah.
It's the butt.
A butt can change a whole...
And that's another thing
That was a trending big ass.
I was going to say BBLs.
I think that's out.
I think we're moving out.
I think we're easing out of that.
Yeah, we definitely are because I know people who have reversed theirs.
Oh, how do you reverse a BBL?
You get the fat dissolved.
Oh, that just feels like a lot.
It's like I put a lot of money into getting this fat and now you're going to take it out.
I slept on my stomach on an airplane or wherever.
Like this.
I was on a plane like this.
Yeah.
Like what?
I don't want that for me.
Like surgical trends like are tough.
Because I think Google fat removal, I think whoever created that hates women.
Hates women.
Because what it is, is that they're trying to make you look like a little gaunt, right?
As the gaunt and gaunt, as we would say.
But the thing is, is that in order to look younger, you kind of have to have some like
You need to have something.
Yeah.
Like it's that kind of
Because as you get older, your face naturally hollows out right here.
And it drops too.
Like, if you have nothing holding it up, you're just going to be, like, a concaved little—
You're going to be like—you're going to look like Skeletor.
Exactly.
But now, surgical trend, big lips.
But I think that's going out.
That's going out.
But the girls that like it love it.
I know.
And you know what?
And that's a trend that will never go away.
If you love it, if you like it and love it, good for you.
And I want you to really fall in a thousand percent into—to be passionate about something.
I enjoy watching people who actually will be 10 toes down for whatever they're for.
Here's my thing.
I love to get a little lip filler every now and again.
Just a little hit.
I remember when you did it.
Yeah, a little kiss.
I said that was different.
Yeah.
But you're not doing it like this.
No, no, no, no.
Also, my lips are so pale that, like, I feel like I can't get the people that have, like, those huge lips.
They have such a definition.
Like, you guys both have really definitive lines of your lips.
my lips if i'm not wearing lip liner it's like where are they where the fuck are they i'm telling
you the older i get the pigmentation of my lips completely goes away you know that's a trend
they're like tattooing yes like uh lip blush lip blush lip yeah because there's people who have
really like darker lips or there's just like a not like it's um discoloration yeah that's a thing
people are tattooing uh eyeliner on yeah well that that the eyeliner trend i remember when
people like started getting permanent makeup when we were in high school when was that that was in
high school yes people started getting like eyeliner or like tattooing anything on my eyeballs
feels like a bad idea but remember when everyone was doing um what is it called uh with the eyebrows
oh microblading microblading yeah yeah i just got mine done but isn't that tattoo essentially yeah
yeah but they look really good yeah we love it they they faded i have to go get a touch-up in
like two months but but they look really good because but if and if you look you can kind of
see it did it hurt uh it's like a little bit of a pinch but it doesn't it's not like like getting
an actual tattoo pain right i'm not mad at it because eyebrows you're always going to need
your eyebrows like i i never like faint eyebrows when was that in that was well it was in when
people were over plucking their eyebrows but that's a faint eyebrows skinny is different from
like transparent i'm going to say that i actually think faint eyebrows are trending currently really
the bleach yeah the bleached brow and the blonde brow and i really always wanted to get blonde
brows would you do it yeah i would but like of course the second i would do it you know what
my fear is i do it it looks amazing for like four days and then the grow out starts to happen
yeah and then you get that like like root like eyebrow roots and i see people that have that
But then you can get, like, a tinted.
Yeah, and then I just, like, paint it over.
Yeah, a brown gel.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And with the blonde.
Yeah, I think it would be cool.
I think it'd be cute.
Do it.
I will say, though, I do like a blonde.
I like blonde hair with dark brows.
Yeah.
But I think, try the blonde brows just to see.
Yeah, because I do feel like if I hate it, I can just, like, go back.
Yeah.
It'll go back.
You know a trend that's annoying the fuck out of me right now is the clean girl aesthetic.
Yeah.
That everybody's like.
Oh, the Hailey Bieber?
Yeah.
I love.
I mean, Hailey.
I like rude.
if you want to sponsor
road
I will do
I love
the glazing milk
up there
it's so good
I'm almost
I'm running out
the peptide lip
the peptide lip
I'm running out
give us the peptide lip gloss
and the phone case
and the phone case
and the phone case
I wouldn't mind
the phone case
and give me the
Miss Piggy Rose
tint
cheek
send her your wish list
we'll post it
on the page
but
the
um the Sophia Richie like a slick back bun the um barely any there like glossier makeup you don't
like that I I'm just like no no I I hate that that's being pushed it's like this is this is
the actual look like this looks natural this is beautiful this is feminine I hate that I hate that
trend of like what femininity is because it's whatever somebody wants it to be like why are
you pushing this i almost feel like they're going back into the 50s yeah but i'll say while that the
clean girl aesthetic is happening there's also the girls with the spider eyelash like the lash
those lash girls are not gonna stop no creepy crawly lashes the lash girls it's also venn
diagram girl in a knit ugg we're kind of meeting somewhere in the middle with that also maybe the
girl with the toes yeah with the toe boots but I do think back to trends we're now culture generally
we are seeing this like sort of conservative pendulum swinging with it's scary with how
obsessed people are with trad wives yes that's the word I was looking for earlier nobody wanted
to help me.
But then it's interesting
because Nara Smith,
right?
No, but I was looking
for a, like, a buoy.
You were looking for
a, like, triad?
I needed a buoy, bitch,
and you guys were just
letting me, like,
drip, drip, drip, drip.
I'm not really sure.
Yeah.
I was like,
is it triad or is it triad?
Because I was just
that triage wife.
Well, because I was just
that triad room
the other day,
which is a restaurant,
but I also was like,
is it triad room?
I didn't want to say
the name while I was there.
But it was triad.
Triad.
Yeah, same, same.
But that's what I mean.
Like, but what's interesting, though, is, like,
Nara Smith.
Yes.
Queen Trad White.
Mm-hmm.
She is giving clean girl, but she's also giving, like, glamour.
Glamour.
She is done, done, done, done, done.
She is giving model on duty.
But that is not doing.
She is not doing content, though.
I know, but I also.
A Trad White is not doing any of that shit.
No.
She's worrying about making sure the pantry is stacked.
She is cooking and cleaning, but she's not looking like that.
But the other trad wives that are really popular like that, like Ballerina Farm Girl.
Yeah, she's not doing like a full beat.
But when you see her on camera, she is giving that like Earth Mama.
Earth Mama.
Earth Mama.
Earth Mama.
Misty.
And, you know, she's probably put a fucking dab of Westman Atelier on some road beauty.
She's absolutely wearing makeup just on the cheeks and on the nose.
Exactly, a glow, a tinted moisturizer.
Yeah, the no makeup makeup look.
That's what I mean.
and I'm not mad at the no makeup makeup look I'm not either but I do like I think I have a soft
spot for maximalism and people that are willing to just like turn it all the way the fuck out
chaperone I like that yeah I'm really I'm really into people who that's why I love New York because
you'll find so many different styles all on one block and it's the for me I think they said that
Like, I forgot this trend, but it's like, what a girl in Boston going to college wears the light jeans, the Air Force Ones, a Ritzia puffy jacket, and their hair, like, all one length, brunette.
Like, I don't, I hate when people all look the same.
That's why I appreciate New York and people diversifying what they think is cool and edgy.
And like, what is it?
The People's Gallery.
I love, I love that on Instagram and TikTok.
because this guy is talking to people in their style
and they're telling you where they got it from.
But it's also like, damn, how did they just wake up
and put this look on?
I know.
It's fab.
I feel like you are always on the New York City streets style moment.
I was supposed to do it today.
That's why I'm dressed like this.
And?
I didn't do it.
Damn.
I had to be here.
Wait, did they call you?
Did they call you?
I was like, Marie, is that true?
You're like, the guy, yeah, this, you know, the watching guy.
Yeah, he messaged me and he was like,
hey, I'm doing this thing for blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Would love to have you be one of the people that I shoot.
We're shooting this day and this day.
Are you free?
And I was like, well, I have my podcast, but.
Wait, can I also talk about a trend that just came into my mind?
Corsets.
Well, corsets.
But corsets are always trendy.
They've been wearing them since Marie Antoinette.
That's what I'm saying.
And before and before and before.
I was going to say, remember when everyone had their hair ombre?
Yes.
But opera hair is still kind of with us.
Is it?
No, it's the streaks.
When people used to streak their hair, that was a trend that was like always in the love,
the rom-coms, the rom-coms.
Everybody had a streaked hair.
Like, I think Claire Danes, Drew Barrymore.
All of them, Chunky.
Streaks.
Oh, the big ones.
Yeah, Sarah Michelle Gellar.
I feel like that's a Jennifer Aniston situation, too.
Yeah, Jennifer, too.
Can we do trend forecasting and say what do we think is going to be trendy in 2025?
Well, girl, they're still wearing skirts above big pants.
So, I don't know.
You don't like that?
I mean, I've seen it look nice, but it just feels like a lot of layers for me.
It is a lot.
I'm wearing massive pants and then I got to put a skirt on top?
It's cute.
When I see the girls, some of the girls that I follow on TikTok do it, I'm like, should I try that?
But there's a certain personality.
I look like a clown in that shit.
I look like if you're seeing me, it's like, oh, is she going as a little Scottish boy?
Like, I think that's what I look like.
It just is so, it's not, I don't, it does not hit with me.
It doesn't go with your, it doesn't go with your hair and it doesn't go with their aesthetic.
You're chic.
Like, I feel like you're very, like, you're going to have either want a cool top and like a simple pant.
Or you're going to have a crazy pant.
And a chill top.
You're not doing a whole bunch of everything all at once, which I enjoy.
I do think that it is exhausting for me.
That's why I think I'm in a stage of like,
I don't know what I'm picking up.
I got all of those like bubble skirts for the summer.
I don't think I ever put it on.
Well, because you got a bubble butt.
Oh, you can't wear a bubble butt with a bubble skirt?
Well, I mean, the skirts are little and your butt is big.
Yeah, maybe it is.
Maybe I have too much.
I feel like a bubble skirt,
because the bottom of the bubble is tight, right?
Because the skirt is like skinny
and then the bubble is on the outside.
I guess I had too much butt for the bubble.
I do have one bubble moment and...
Do you love it?
I do, but like it's very hit or miss.
Like sometimes I put it on and I'm like,
I am so cute.
This is the cutest thing ever.
And then other times I put it on and I'm like,
I am not 14.
I'm a grown woman.
Yeah, but could you do it with tights?
How do we feel about...
See, I was thinking about doing this with tights tonight.
I was thinking about doing a bubble with tights tonight.
That would have been cute.
What color tight?
Black.
sheer sheer right yes yes you know what trend i'm so tired of what's messy is the cropped
everything can't be cropped every everything is cropped the shirt every shirt is cropped the
jacket is cropped the bras are a crop jacket my life is cropped money cropped like we can we i
want to i want it to hit below the belly button i'm tired of having my belly button out the hole
I want to cover the hole.
I hear that.
Cover the hole.
I'm not asking for much.
I was sent a cropped bubble coat last year,
and it doesn't have any pockets,
so I never really wore it.
A jacket without pockets?
What are we doing?
That's how I feel about the meow pants.
Yeah.
I mean, look.
Sometimes pockets are in the way.
I hate when I'm wearing, like, dress pants.
Like, a white dress pants,
and you can see the white jacket.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
That's terrible.
Like a linen pants?
No, not linen.
Like a slack.
Like a gorgeous, like, yeah.
Not a business slack.
I'm talking about, like, we're going out, nice dinner.
Not in Cancun, but like, you know, in the city.
Yeah.
On the weekend.
You're going to Chipotle.
Cream, yeah.
Cream.
Sydney, I have seen you in many a cream pants.
Yeah.
And so the pocket is all, like, you can literally see the pocket and the stitching of the pocket within the pocket.
No, it's terrible.
I can't stand it.
It's hell.
That's really upsetting.
When you see someone in that, it is terrible.
I hate that.
It's like when you see, I'm still like anti-panty line.
You have a panty line out?
No, I don't fuck with the panty line.
I'm like, I'm so.
So you're always wearing thongs?
Yes.
Every day?
Yeah.
So you're saying the crack of your ass is always, it's just.
It's getting fucked.
Flossed.
Yeah.
Flossy booty.
Yes.
Flossy booty.
Except I put on like, I put on like a full pair of underwear when I sleep.
I don't sleep in a thong.
Interesting.
Well, sleeping in a thong is like, feels like female serial killer behavior because why are you flossing your booty in the bed?
I sometimes sleep in thongs.
Either I don't sleep in anything at all or I don't have a thong.
You'll sleep in a thong.
Yeah, but you're a thong girly through and through.
I am a thong.
I want to move.
I want to move out of it, but it's hard.
I will never move out of a thong.
If you got an ass and then you're wearing those like.
You saw me in my hanky pankys.
I did.
They were really cute though.
You had like such a cute.
I like the little body.
Like, you work out.
Like, you know, you're really about it.
You're really living that life.
Yeah, you do.
Like, obviously, it's got a little something at the bottom.
It's not flat.
No.
But it's not like, I know you're not trying to take somebody's man with that.
No, I'm not trying to take someone's man with that.
I could.
You could.
You could.
No, I'm not mad at a panty line.
I would rather.
Are you a no-thong person?
I have thongs. I wear thongs. I wear thongs when I don't have any other panties left or if I must. If I must wear a thong, I'll wear a thong.
What kind of underwear do you, like, what is your go-to underwear?
Like something cheeky.
Like a cotton, like, cheeky little brief.
Yeah, like a, not a brief.
Or like a bikini.
Not like a short.
Like a bikini.
Yeah, like a bikini or, I don't know. Honestly, I'm thinking about what I have in my house.
I'm tired of seeing people
Showing their thong
Yeah
With a pan
Yeah yeah yeah
You're not here for the thong
That trend
No
Like I think
Like Aaliyah did it
I was gonna say
Aaliyah the Gucci thong
Yeah the one in a million
Thank you
But the Victoria's Secret
Rhinestone thong
That's all the way up to here
So you guys are not here
For the ass crack
The thong cleavage
The butt cleavage
Because the girl
Is wearing the dresses
That are completely bad
And then the thong
Is showing in the back
I
Maybe it's jeweled
I want everybody to do what they want to do.
But I just, I'm like, so how are you sitting down?
Like, but where are you going?
Like, are we just going to be in Fig and Olive and your tongue is fully showing?
Because you know some of the seats, it's not covered like this.
You just see the top part and then the whole back of it is out.
Not in Fig and Olive.
Fig and Olive.
Not in Fig and Olive, me trying to have a brunch with my mother-in-law.
My whole butt is out.
Yeah.
Butt and brunch.
If you're trying to have bruschetta and your butt is near the bruschetta, it's like, come
on now, cover the butt or the bruschetta.
One of them can't be, both of them can't be out.
It's true.
Can I switch seats?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I remember the underwear from Victoria's Secret that were like thin here and then the, like,
it was like a full underwear, but the elastic was really thin here.
Was that the thonga?
No, no, no.
Or what?
It was thick?
It was like a thick band?
Or like a thick, just like a band.
and there was no fabric on the side.
Whatever.
Like a g-string.
Kind of, but underwear.
And I stole a pair of my sister's
and I remember thinking,
like putting them on,
thinking I was like so hot.
You wearing your sister's underwear?
When I was a child.
No, you know you was doing it
like last year, babe.
Don't do that.
That's very Lena Dunham of you.
Wait, if you want to know a...
If you want to know a fucked up story.
Are we getting a mass exclusive?
Yeah, you are.
Okay.
When I was shooting,
i was in town shooting this film a few weeks ago okay lex i had to be in a mini skirt and a bra
and i got photos i i grabbed respectfully respectfully i would like you know i'm a
visual person i grabbed like a pile of all of my thin nude like commando thong underwear to like
do with this situation I put on a pair early in the morning not even thinking about it and then
I put on my like costume and I feel and I'm like oh this feels weird and I look down and this like
nude thong is all the way up like here like to my ribs like I pulled it so high up but it didn't
feel that crazy and I was like what the fuck is happening I take the thong off I change it I
realized it was a thong of my mother's no wait you were wearing an heirloom to this little short
film I don't know if your mother asked for that girl not a hand-me-down thong I was wearing my
dead mother's thin nude thong whereas my dead mother's thin thong is also a title yeah it is
and I was dying like I didn't even know that I had it and I was like the cut the way things
were cut when they first started making these things too it was like the fupa area was like
it was like a foot of fabric to go up the front and then like the back was like you had an
elongated ass it was crazy it was crazy the backs were longer back in the day it feels hot
feels hot uh i you know this is a trend that i'm i want to bring back for myself but i think my age
has taken me out it's like i used to love you know when euphoria came out with like eyeshadow
and the rhinestones.
So I would do that
like literally
every single day.
Yeah, I remember.
I just,
I tried to do it
last month
and I was like,
bitch,
take this off.
It's not making sense.
Like it just,
it's just like
it was a time period.
It was a time period
piece for me.
But that was a good trend.
It was.
I absolutely liked that trend.
Euphoria really gave us a lot.
They give us a lot
of makeup looks.
I mean.
But even the outfits.
The outfits.
A lot of sets.
The cohort.
Oh, I love a set.
A lot of sets.
You can't go wrong with a set.
It just makes sense.
A set does make sense.
And we really, like, I wish that sets were trendy when we were in high school.
Because think about how much time it would have saved us.
Wait, you didn't have no sets?
I had, like, juicy sets.
Yeah, there was.
I remember growing up and there'll be sets, like, there'll be, like, a denim top that goes with a denim, denim, like, the bottoms.
Yeah.
I never had that.
Oshkosh.
Oshkosh.
Oshkosh.
Oshkosh.
You're talking about overalls?
No, that's a brand for overalls, but also the jeans.
They would have, like...
I never had that.
You didn't have that?
That must have been the Bloomingdales.
That's the Bloomies card.
You know, my mother was platinum for Bloomies.
Oh, you know, I saw this recently, but it was like the collars pop.
They're wearing the Ralph Lauren...
The double pop collar.
The double polo pop collar.
I mean, if you were running into a man with a pop collar, he's absolutely giving you BV and he's going to have an 8-ball that he doesn't want to share with you.
It just was really specific.
Not the 8-ball that no one wants to share.
He's got an 8-ball.
He said, it's all by myself.
It's really, I mean, the double pop.
Remember with the big pony polos?
Yeah, that polo association.
Those were kind of in and out.
Yeah, they were.
I don't think it ever came back.
I don't think so either.
The big pony polo.
Well, I only think it was because of like,
that was like urban, like street wear.
And now that's gone.
I miss those times.
The baby fat.
Yeah.
Well, baby fat, I feel like is still,
remember when they tried to resurrect for a moment?
It was at like Forever 21.
They did it with Forever 21.
I did not like it.
Didn't they re-release the phone?
No, I didn't know that.
I would get that fucking phone.
The Flip?
Yeah, that phone's cute.
Flip need to come back.
Flip with the rhinestone.
Flip phones do need to come back.
And I actually, this is my very hot take for the future.
I think that they are.
I think they will.
I think that we are going to, we already have hit like maximum capacity for smartphones and everything.
But like we need, like we need to be freed from this jail.
And I think the only way we do that is a flip phone.
Well, because remember everybody used to have a different phone?
Yeah, it was.
A different type of phone?
I had the white chocolate.
I remember being so proud of that.
Jared Goldstein was just talking about this.
the chocolate phone that yeah that was the little one that like swiped up yep the razor was my
everything the razor was everything for me i mean i couldn't it just was so sleek and hot and it was
like the font that was on the phone yeah and like the color i was just like it was just fun to hang
up a flip phone like bye click anyway later that motorola was really iconic the two-way pager yeah
Yeah, that was always for the business guys that also wore rockwear.
I miss those days.
There are certain men's fashion trends that I'm really happy were over.
Remember when the boys were wearing Bieber?
It was like Justin Bieber time long t-shirts.
No.
You mean Soulja Boy?
Yeah, Soulja Boy.
You mean Soulja Boy's wearing the really long white t-shirts?
I do remember the long Bieber.
I feel like the Bieber thing was also, like, the Hillsong mega church.
Oh, yeah.
Because the pastor was also wearing all same.
Yeah, if my pastor is wearing a leather jacket and good denim jeans, I know we're not getting a good sermon.
The pastor has a neck tattoo?
Amen.
The pastor has a neck tattoo.
It was in nudie jeans.
Remember those?
No.
With the crosses all over, like, the label was, like, a bunch of crosses all over the back.
original um oh no soupy jeans soupy jeans that was what it was the original chrome hearts
i mean the boat neck it was like a boat neck beige but it was like rolled a little bit
i don't i don't wish that on anybody no those times it's a nightmare and like a and like a
beanie like a bad beanie well trends now i mean i see a lot of the blogger girls everyone's wearing
a New York fit like fitted hat yeah it doesn't matter what country they're in it's like we're
well I feel like in Sweden and Scandinavia I'm like okay the whole country the Yankees everyone's
a Yankees fan and they're wearing like everyone's wearing Timbs now that they treat like garbage and
it's like just wear your Uggs babe they don't know what to do with a Tim the way that the way that
they are misusing a Tim Timbalem boot is really upsetting it's just like first of all you're
mixing your Tim boot with the Wilfred jeans from Aritzia, it's never going to go.
When you said that, I want you to know visceral reaction chills down my spine.
Aritzia, you can send us some Wilfred. We're not mad at that. We'll take it.
Beggars can be choosy. I will wear them with my Tim boots that I'm just about to buy
after the pod. I want to get the platform Tim boots. I tried them on last year and they made
I feel like huge.
But this year I'm like,
I feel like I'm ready
to have big boat feet again.
I wore new buck Timbs
for like all of college.
I did.
Tied or like untied?
Loosely tied?
I wore them fully tied.
Yeah.
You know she was choking.
I wore them choking
the fuck out that time.
I was like,
this is ankle support.
I am supporting my ankle.
I always wanted the black ones though
because I actually think
the black Timbs are hot
and the powder blues.
No, because the Timbs,
the black ones
They're always going to look ashy.
They always look like they went to war.
You got to brush them.
You got to hit them with a spray.
No, you got to hit it with a protectant, actually.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The one size.
The one size setting spray.
You got to put it on the Timberlake.
But wait, the powder blue Timbs are hot.
Girl, that was another time that we're glad that trend is over.
We're going to bring them back.
Bring them back.
Tied so tight around my ankle.
Tied so tight that the front comes up just a little bit.
Okay, before we get out of here, we have to do some misstages.
This one is a long one.
Wow, I love how y'all just be getting on the laptop and you're like...
Like, I know it's fun when people really be writing down.
I'm like the fact that the way that you're writing this message, I might need you.
I might need you to write my shit for me because the way I log into my iPad and I say none of the keys work.
The keys are not for me.
OK, wait, none of the keys on your iPad.
They do. But when I open it, I'm like, I don't.
I have a keyboard, a separate keyboard for my iPad.
But you don't want to type on the screen.
I don't want to do anything.
How about that?
Keys don't work.
No, they do.
I just, in my head, I'm like, when I press something, I'm like, nothing is coming up.
Sure.
Because I don't want to work.
Right.
That's what it's about.
That is.
Not me.
This one is long.
Yeah.
Do you want me to read it?
Yes, read it, Marie.
Oh, my God.
Should we take turns passing around the people?
It's very long.
The title, Messy Cheating of a Potential Pansexual.
Whoa.
I think that might be the title, friend.
Mess.
Hey, Sydney and Marie.
Y'all asked for more write-ins.
So here's a messy story about the demise of my husband's friend's relationship with a beautiful black queen.
Now, does this feel like a white person wrote it?
I feel the demise of a beautiful black queen.
I'm sitting here and I'm like, yes, they're reading my email.
If you sent that to us, Gretta, genius.
And we appreciate you.
OK, let me set the scene.
So it's February 2024.
Then fiance and I are planning our wedding.
and we had already invited both of them as a couple
to add some color to the story.
He's mixed white and Hawaiian.
She's black, Haitian-American.
I'm black, Caribbean-American.
Oh.
And my husband's mixed black and white.
It's a lot of color.
That, we need like a diagram.
We need a diagram right now.
Somebody get a chalkboard.
It sounded like all Angelina Jolie's kids.
I had just told my fiance the day before
that I was looking forward
to this couple's future wedding in Italy.
Anytime you're going away, it's probably doomed, okay?
Bad.
which they were telling us their plans for
when we met in December.
Then fiance gets a text from friend in the morning
saying him and girlfriend broke up.
No context for why.
We hoped it was a joke
because they seemed like a great couple.
Girlfriend DMs me that night saying they broke up,
but she'd still love to come to our wedding.
So that confirms it.
Mind you, I'm really just Instagram friends with her.
So this is an awkward request.
Yeah, you're psychotic.
So crazy.
I am kind of obsessed.
Like we're Instagram cousins.
No, she likes mess, absolutely.
But I liked her enough as a person to say she's still invited,
assuming she won't come.
So now fiance and I are slightly concerned about ex-drama at our wedding
because the friend is still invited and says he's cool with her being there.
We just shouldn't sit them together.
But more than anything, we want the tea.
Is the friend the wedding planner?
How are you making that type of decision?
Why is the friend?
Yeah, but also, why is the friend coming?
Like, do men even like weddings?
Yeah, the only reason why a man would go to a wedding,
I think it's to potentially get laid.
Right.
But now you know she might come
and you're like,
I'm also going to be there.
Anyway,
well, a friend called fiance
to give him the rundown the next day
and he gave me the recap
when I came home
from getting knotless braids put in.
I love the detail.
I love...
You're giving us the day.
You are not holding back.
I love that.
I love this detail
because for me,
this is the texture of life.
I need to know what you're...
too because i do ask a lot of questions where were you coming from when you heard this anyway
this man had been cheating on his beautiful black girlfriend for half of their four-year
relationship whenever the mood struck cute girls talked to him at target they exchanged snapchats
and when girlfriend's not home he had sex with this rando in their bed no and how did girlfriend
find out she opened snapchat on his phone while he was in the bathroom changed the email to her
own requested a password reset and then logged onto his account later on her own phone after
resetting the password she saw non-platonic messages with a bunch of people and a private
story where he would post gym pics just for them barf then she breaks up with him obviously kicks
him out and keeps the two large dogs they got together and her friends go to his work and
falsely accuse him of assault in the lobby no way assault so he's sorry i'm sorry can you give me
I need you to reread that sentence.
So then she breaks up with him, obviously,
kicks him out,
and keeps the two large dogs they got together.
Then her friends go to his work and...
Now she's a single mom.
Two jobs, two jobs, two jobs.
Who loves her dogs and never stops?
The ex's two friends go to his work
and accuse him...
Falsely accuse him of assault in the lobby.
So he's forced to transfer to an office
in a different state.
what now that's what type of when i when my friends be like we about to pull up i need you
to pull up like that yeah commit crime wait hold on let me get the last let me get the conclusion
here fiance and i were shook but so entertained she didn't come to the wedding but sent her
regrets he did and revealed that he's in therapy and thinks he's pansexual because some of the
people he cheated on his girlfriend with were queer she's on her baddie mental wellness and
fitness journey he just had a pregnancy scare with a millionaire girl I need you to write a show
you're brilliant he had a pregnancy scare with a millionaire and got into a relationship with
someone else wonder if he told them how his last relationship ended hope this was a fun read love
y'all yeah that was beautiful that's the that message is really broad she needs to write in
every week yeah just to let you know what's going on with her yeah I was getting my nails done and
then my boyfriend and I yeah girl we're making a request you're a great writer you made it very
colorful and very specific it felt very Shonda Rhimes yeah and we want more and we want our
scandal here's my question and I don't know but does hooking up with queer people make one
pansexual now when this person said queer I think maybe they meant they were hooking up with all
types of people okay and they're they just don't want to say that so they're like i think i'm pan
but what is and pan is not about their gender right okay it's not about gender you'll hook up
with anyone yeah okay so to be like i hook up with people who are queer it feels like be more specific
yeah they're wet pan pan right he's like it's he right the fiance that cheated yeah yeah so
he might say pan because he also might it might have been men too that's what i'm saying what it
Can I also say, I am so, like, to change the Snapchat email to your email,
to get the new, to hack into the system, all this stuff.
How long was this shower?
I have, yeah.
Greta, I held my breath.
I thought you were like, you know, and see, and people just want to be pansexual.
I thought you were going to go off on pansexuals.
I thought you were going to do a real read, deep dive.
I thought you were about to say something.
I was like, yes, Greta, go in.
Let's go.
It will go viral.
And they'll hate us
We'll be on Reddit
And Lipstick Alley
Do it
Look what
Here's what I'm gonna say
Aren't we all pansexual
At the end of the day
Mmm
Mmm
Mmm
Anyway
Girl
Marie Picky
So I don't know
She definitely not
I guess you're
I feel like you are
Very Kinsey scale
Straight
I'm queer adjacent
Yeah
That means she won't
She won't use a slur
But
Some of her friends
I also love saying
I'm queer adjacent
and what does that mean
I'm in the community
I'm pansexual
I'm gonna start
describing myself as pan
she's like
I go to the
she's like
I go to the gay clubs
I'm like
I love the gays
don't you dare
ask me if I'm gay
I love the gays
I'll let a
I'll let a
I'll let a gay
buy me a drink
oh yeah
I'll start with a lady
at a bar
why not
having done and will
and then I'll just be there
looking like
hey
so is she gay
I'm like
I don't know
she's thirsty
I do know that
Yeah, I know her is drunk.
He will have that drink.
He will have that drink.
Greta, thank you so much for doing the pod.
This has been, what a moment.
Tell the people where we can find your pansexual ass.
Your pansexual married ass.
Your pansexual no panty line ass.
Yes.
You can find me, really honestly.
You can find me in the club.
I got what you need if you're into taking drugs.
Yes.
You know the words.
If you're into having sex and you're into making love,
so come and give me a hug, right?
If you're into getting in love.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Anyway, really honestly, find me on Instagram.
Find me at Gertie Bird on Instagram.
Gertie Bird.
And, you know, as I die,
I will be running my new hour in Los Angeles.
Yes, ma'am.
At the Lyric Hyperion Theater.
Ooh.
For the months of February and March.
So keep your eyes out for that.
if you're in L.A.?
Do you know what
you're going to be wearing?
What trend will you be
partaking in?
I'm going to be wearing
that peep toe,
that peep toe ankle boot
with the thong,
with my dead mom's thong
poking out
in a Wilfred skirt.
In a Wilfred,
oh, clever.
With a peplum,
with a peplum.
With a peplum.
And a towel that's,
and a towel that's wrist lit.
I dare you.
A poach.
A poach is a trend
we didn't talk about.
They were hot.
Yeah.
Went away.
hot again
yeah
but you know what's not back
the coach belts
nobody's wearing that
and I love that in high school
I had every freaking color
with the little
from Canal Street
because I was like
I'm not paying full price
for this
same
but yes if you can go
into a store
and take a picture
in one of those shoes
we'd love that for us
I will
I will find a way
we'll post
perfect
everybody if you have
like a messy trend
that you followed
or photos
send it to us
or tag us in it
so we can share it
with the community
the TBT
yeah
anyway
see you in my peplum
next time I see you
and I'll have no eyebrows
not because I shaved them
because they fell out
because I'm stressed
yay
anyway
keep changing your
boyfriend's Snapchat
password to yours
or whatever
see you next week
bye
