Starting point is 00:00:00 ooh you're listening to mess okay we made it we whoo i'm so excited have my energy back got some rest i i did not oh it's not i whoo when i start a show i could really binge it i if i could if i could if it's really good i could finish it in one sitting which is disgusting i think we should bring back episodes coming out one week at a time. But you know what? I don't like watching it with everybody. I would, like, actually wait. Because if everybody's hyping
Starting point is 00:00:35 up at the same time, I don't want to get involved with that. I want to do it on my time. You know? But it just so happened that I got caught up in the hype. Because everybody's been talking about it on TikTok. Tell the people what you're talking about, because we don't know what you're talking about. It's a show called It's All Her Fault. And I said,
Starting point is 00:00:51 damn. Damn. But also, that's how I look at it. It is all her fault. Oh. Whoever her is, it's her fault. Oh. I usually say her is my mom, but whatever. It is her fault, yes.
Starting point is 00:01:04 We're starting at the source, and it's my mom. But, yeah, it's with Sarah Snook from Severance. She's in it. And then, what's the other one? Succession. One of them about white people doing, you know, white collar embezzlement and whatnot. And really $1,000 suits and whatnot. But, yeah, her, then Lawrence from Insecure, J. Ellis.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Oh, he got another job. Yes, he's in it. He did. Oh, my God, he's not at Best Buy no more. Yeah, I love when our people are out here working. And then remember the guy who was in Crash? The guy who was like the invisible cloak? Remember the dude was like, fix the lock, was telling the guy?
Starting point is 00:01:45 The door guy or the lock guy? The lock guy. Oh. Yes. Okay, he's in that? Yes. And it was so crazy because I was looking at him and I was like, I'm just waiting for him to be like, you need a new door. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:01:57 The invisible cloak where I cry a tear. Remember Crash? I really, everybody said how corny it was. I liked Crash. I loved Crash. Lucas was in that. He was amazing. Mr. Reese Witherspoon was in that.
Starting point is 00:02:10 What's his name? Justin Timberlake's dupe. We're talking about the same guy. Yes. Ryan Phillippe. Ryan Phillippe. Yes. Justin Timberlake's dupe.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Yes, exactly. So I watched the whole thing. I went to bed at like two something and I got back up at 7.30. That's crazy because we made a pact that we were going to go to bed at midnight last night. And I text you at 12.01, hey girl, I'm going to bed.
Starting point is 00:02:34 And you said the bed feels good, don't it? Say goodnight, queen. Yeah, but I watch it. It's phenomenal. I will get into it again, maybe on a solo episode. But yeah, I recommend everybody watch it. It's on Peacock.
Starting point is 00:02:46 You know, that was my mess. My mess is, yo, people are really shutting down their apps. They're not paying no more. They said no Netflix, no Hulu, no Peacock. I had to run through a couple people to get to the Peacock. So you got the Peacock? I got it, yeah. I text a friend.
Starting point is 00:03:07 A third to your friend? Shout out to Larry. Larry Owens. Thank you so much. Wow. Shout out to him. I love it. Yeah, so that was my mess.
Starting point is 00:03:17 um i need to pay for one of the maps one one yeah i mean i told you this morning i have the disney hulu package but it's with ads so that's fine yeah the way the world is going you need a little break run to the bathroom yeah look at your little cheese wheel go run off do something real quick cheese wheel and check your emails yes that i do need a break that you do ignore you do and i and i know you home and i know you can see it first of all it doesn't matter if i'm home or not i don't want to respond to that email look at that this email did not find me well it found me unwell okay okay marie what's uh your mess of the week my mess this week the u.s government uh raggedy you've been around since 1776 right you still haven't figured it out
Starting point is 00:04:10 So I was in Chicago this weekend, and I had a bunch of flights because I flew from Nashville to Chicago, then Chicago back to New York. All my flights were 7, 6 a.m. flights, which I was like, that's not ideal, but I do need to get out of this state, right? Sooner rather than later. So I missed my 7 a.m. flight home on Sunday morning. You sure did, which was mad because you tell them what you did. Well, I was at, you know, Dwayne Perkins' birthday party.
Starting point is 00:04:38 You got there late. You didn't stay there that long. Well, I stayed till the end. When it ended, I left. Well, what time did you get there? First of all, I came from a show. Don't make it seem like I was at the hotel just watching Friends or whatever. No, I had a show.
Starting point is 00:04:54 I got to Dwayne's at, I don't know, 1130. I was there till about 12-something. Got some ramen, went back to the hotel. I went to bed at 3 a.m. Set my alarm, 5 a.m., and then I'd back up 5.30. You know when you're getting a lot of rest You know when you're sleeping and you're like I feel like I'm sleeping too much
Starting point is 00:05:14 They need to stop the snooze Eliminate the snooze The alarm never went off It's my phone My alarm doesn't go off on Sundays The biggest op is your phone Bitch I rolled over I looked at the clock I said 7-0-1
Starting point is 00:05:29 7-0-1 That's what time they were boarding my flight And you know I hadn't packed So I'm just like oh my god friend throwing it in the bag right i get i get downstairs i get in my uber the driver's like what time is your flight i was like right now he was leaving at 7 45 i get to the airport 8 a.m right miss i'm like well apparently i had booked a first class ticket because you know i care about me so they rebooked me on another first class flight and i was like oh that means
Starting point is 00:06:01 i get to go to the lounge i was like delta one i go to the lounge the lady the guy's like um I don't, you know, you have Delta 1? I said, yes. He said, that's for long haul international flights. I was like, oh. He said, are you going to, I see LaGuardia. Are you connecting to London or something after? I was like, mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:06:21 I am. He was like, I don't see it. I said, well, I just missed my flight. Maybe they haven't rebooked me for that portion yet. He was like, okay. I see you're going to London on the 25th. Now he in your business. Okay, sir.
Starting point is 00:06:34 You know my whole itinerary now. I said, you don't see the tonight flight? He's like, no. He said, but you know what? I'll tell you what. You can be my guest in the lounge today. Look at that. Let me tell you something.
Starting point is 00:06:46 In my heart, I said, I missed the flight. I'm not missing the lounge. No. I ain't missing the lounge. So I was like, oh, my, oh, my. Thank you so much. Like, he gives me a card. He's like, you know, message my supervisor.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Let her know how well I did today. I was like, I will. And I will. Oh, shout out to Darren. You have not, but you will. I haven't yet, but shout out to Darren. So I had been rebooked on a, on a 1230 flight, that flight delayed, then canceled, right? Then a 230 canceled.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Then they were like, all the flights out canceled. So I'm talking to, I'm talking to you. I'm talking to my mom. I'm talking to my sister. We're all trying to like figure out how I'm getting back. And if I live in Chicago now and we're like, maybe United, all the United flights booked by my managers, like Spirit Airlines has a flight. I said, girl, you know I don't want to, but let me see if we can get it.
Starting point is 00:07:39 That went away. Because everybody was trying to get to New York. All the JFK flights, all the LaGuardia flights, everything was booked. Finally, the lady at Delta goes, the earliest flight we can get you on is 825 tomorrow p.m. No! I've been here since 8 o'clock in the morning. You told me I can't leave until 8 o'clock tomorrow night. No, ma'am.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Girl. And that happened to us when we were in Paris. Yes. But I was like, am I going to be reimbursed for this? And they said, oh, Delta doesn't reimburse unless it's a Delta issue of our plane or our pilot. This is the government. So you will not be reimbursed. They said they ain't got nothing to do with me.
Starting point is 00:08:17 I'm like, are you guys going to put me in a hotel? They're like, no hotel either? No. They got a lot of nerve, Delta. And you platinum status. Almost. I will be at the end of the year. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:27 But I said that to the lady. I'm basically platinum. Anyway, I was on standby for a 550 flight. After I screamed, I'm almost platinum, she called Delta and she was like, we got you. No longer standby. You're on that flight. That flight boarded at eight something. And then we sat for an hour and a half on the plane, not moving.
Starting point is 00:08:55 And then it finally took off. The flight is two hours. I'm at the airport for 12, sitting on the tarmac for another two hours. And then they had the nerve to have turbulence So the government is mess Delta is mess The clouds is mess No, no, no, Marie
Starting point is 00:09:12 Let's start with who started the mess You, you missed the flight And you were supposed to take the 7 a.m. flight So you could get to New York early Because we had a concert for Kaytranada Because I got you tickets for your birthday You sang all that mess Mess
Starting point is 00:09:30 But you're right You are 100% right. Yes. The 7.30 flight and the 9.30 flight are the only flights that left on time. Yeah. Yes. The only flights. And then everything else, just two, three, four, five, ten hours delays.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Crazy, Marie. Crazy. And people on Instagram were like, you could stay with me. I can drive you. Take a train. I was like, the train is going to take me a whole day. I'd rather wait. Also, to be fair, I was in the lounge the entire time.
Starting point is 00:09:59 You were living just fine. I had nine plates of food. I was drinking for free. They got showers. They do have showers. They have showers. I didn't take a shower, but they have them. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:10 And everybody in the lounge was like stressed and tired and over it. But imagine I was in the regular airport for those 12 hours. I couldn't imagine. That's a hell. Yeah. Shout out to Darren. I will be messaging your supervisor. We love Darren here at Mess.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Woo. Okay. Jay. Jay Jordan is in the building. Yay. So excited. Jay Jordan is in the building. Thanks, y'all, for having me.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I flew yesterday, too. I flew Monday. I want to say, yeah, I flew Monday from Portland, and it was fine. What time was your flight? My flight was at 7 a.m. Yeah. And you made it. I did make my flight.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Damn, Sammy. I was lucky that I made my flight. And I had an early flight to Seattle, like, two days before, and it was like, I was like, not the early flights. That's the secret. Before 10, I think you're fine. After 10, you might be fucked. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:05 These flights have been saying the N-word. And by saying the N-word, I mean these flights are canceled. These flights have been. I was like, what? I was like, hold on now. I said, who are you flying? I said, what flight? You said Frontier?
Starting point is 00:11:19 I said, no, it sounds American. American would say the N-word. American Airlines? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They say all the words on American. They say all the words. On Spirit, they say it. But, you know, they can't say it because that's us.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I said G-A. Yeah, it's not an E-R. G-A-H, exclamation point. Spirit, it's the flight attendant. Yeah, Spirit. What are you all saying, nigga? I go, oh, oh, oh. Anything to drink, nigga?
Starting point is 00:11:41 Do you have any of these applesauce packets? And then I had to do, I had to go from Kansas City to Tulsa, and we had a connection in Dallas, and I had to fly southwest, which I haven't done in a while. That was, I was in the airport for four hours. They were, like, doing the whole gate. They were like, we're changing gates. we changed the gates
Starting point is 00:12:00 they changed gates four times I'm fine I'm able-bodied I can move these older people they was getting mad yeah
Starting point is 00:12:06 some of them had to be like pushed to the different gates and some of them they could have walked but they still wanted to be pushed because like that's
Starting point is 00:12:12 that's a choice on your part sometimes when you're older in the airport you go I could use help but I think I can make it these folks
Starting point is 00:12:18 they're walking to the gate agent mad they said is this the final gate and the gate agent said I ain't even gonna hold you I just changed
Starting point is 00:12:26 yeah they walked up and don't you pay you have to pay to get someone to assist you yeah yeah you pay for that i think you can request it but i think if you have medical documentation you don't have to pay but i think sometimes but then i don't trust it because sometimes in atlanta the folks who be riding on them carts they be young yeah they just be i might swear in the driver if they think they're you're cute they'll just be like you know in the back y'all be hopping on those Wait a second
Starting point is 00:12:54 Didn't you be hopping on those Yes I've done it before This guy at JFK Was like yeah He said yeah You can jump on What All you gotta do is run
Starting point is 00:13:01 Okay okay In Atlanta Or if they see you stressed Okay Like sweating Okay Bags Things falling apart
Starting point is 00:13:07 Hey what's your case I'm not gonna try it in New York But in Atlanta With all them sissies I'm trying I'm hopping on the back Of one of them I'm gonna be like
Starting point is 00:13:13 Yeah girl They gonna pop a wheelie For you Jay Yeah girl Yeah girl But yeah airports I mean they are held Right now
Starting point is 00:13:20 In regard to Delta 1 I was just in Delta One, JFK, and LAX. JFK, like, that's a fun Delta One lounge. It's cute. The LAX one, immaculate. Oh, my God. Go to that one. Don't they have caviar there?
Starting point is 00:13:35 They have caviar there. You can get massages. You can get massages there. Yeah, the Chicago one wasn't given that. I mean, the steak frites is amazing. The sushi is amazing. The sushi! The sushi in the Delta One lounge, which is not relatable at all.
Starting point is 00:13:48 But the sushi, also, the government shutdown hurt me. because now you don't even get private TSA for Delta 1. You got to go through regular TSA. And that's what you're paying for with Delta 1
Starting point is 00:13:57 is to go through private TSA. Yeah, fast. You go through and they said we don't got it because the government shut down.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I said, you can't check me right now. I said, you can't look at this stuff. You can't pat me down. I be screaming sky priority. They be like,
Starting point is 00:14:08 that don't really mean anything. You said everybody's priority right now. Sky priority. But you know, I mean, I hope people get paid. It sucks that like
Starting point is 00:14:16 the Democrats caved because now that means I might fuck up people's health care. I don't I can't fix it So is the shutdown over Or are we still in a shutdown
Starting point is 00:14:24 The shutdown is about to be over They're working on it For it to be over Now it's like moving forward Yeah They're trying to fix it By Thanksgiving Because if this happens
Starting point is 00:14:31 At Thanksgiving I guarantee Someone's gonna get hurt Someone's gonna get hurt Oh 100% If everything's shut down Come turkey time Turkey lurkey season
Starting point is 00:14:39 First of all People can't even Buy their turkeys And now you can't get To the family That ain't got no turkey Yeah No no no
Starting point is 00:14:45 I actually think The shutdown should happen Okay Because I like this Everybody be running to their family for what? This is a bit of a mess. For what?
Starting point is 00:14:53 First of all, we all know that everybody's family is fucked up. And it's even worse. That's just my daddy's side. I'm just saying. That's who we talking about. Okay. Listen, a lot of times we're going home. You go in there.
Starting point is 00:15:06 You ain't got nobody. So you're like, oh, so you still not married. Oh, my Lord. You're another year older. Or you coming with somebody and you're like, you know we don't like that girl. Why are you bringing this girl to the house? The specifics in this are really. Yeah, why are you bringing, we don't like that girl.
Starting point is 00:15:18 You know how the family are This is like when Cindy said It's all her fault And I was like Well if it's a lesbian relationship It's definitely her fault It would be her fault Yeah
Starting point is 00:15:27 It might be her they fault But it's her fault Yeah but They're her I think Because of the government Shut down and everything That went on
Starting point is 00:15:36 That transpired this year We should not be Subscribing to Things like Thanksgiving And Christmas You know what One step forward Stop paying for things
Starting point is 00:15:45 Decolonize your holidays Yes You celebrating the white men coming and talking to the Native Americans and tricking them. Come on, Gay Dr. Umar, let it go. In pilgrim shoes.
Starting point is 00:15:59 In buckles. The hand, you doing the turkey with the hand. Oh, yeah, yeah. That hand should be a hand, it should be a black power fist. That's right. You can't make a turkey from that. That's how all my turkeys look. Jay. What's up?
Starting point is 00:16:17 Because I have the Hulu with ads now I did watch your new special Oh, thank you Yes, ma'am Yes, ma'am Yes, ma'am And you only say yes, ma'am I think one time
Starting point is 00:16:27 I say it one time Yeah I say it to my mama An important part of the special Thank you for watching With ads We love ads Listen
Starting point is 00:16:34 Listen, get Hulu with ads If you want Get Disney Redownload Disney Plus Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air Stop Stop protesting Disney
Starting point is 00:16:43 Walt Disney was a nothing Okay, so is Kanye Wow Please Please? Please? But Walt was a Nazi the whole time. The whole time. Snow White. White? Come on! Jay, you were making it work for you.
Starting point is 00:16:58 You were like, listen, we need a Disney or Hulu plug. Yeah, I said, let's go. Come on, let's do something with it. The fun part about recording the special in New Orleans was that the crowds were crazy fun. There's a woman you can hear in the beginning of the special. This was her laugh. And I go, okay, we're going to have to tone her down a little bit.
Starting point is 00:17:17 In the edit, I said, let's tweet her. You said, move the boom mic out from under her. Yeah, but they were fun. They were wild. I went to a gay bar literally afterwards. And there was like an underwear party in the back. You know, I can't say if I went or not. But I was, you know when you go to a gay bar.
Starting point is 00:17:29 You said you went, and now you say you can't say if you went? I can't say if I went in the back or not. You've seen your body on social media. I definitely went to the gay club. Because when you go to a gay club, it's kind of packed. You go, oh, what's up? When it's really packed, you go, what's the event? It's always packed.
Starting point is 00:17:42 You go, what's the event? And they go Oh it's an underwear party Back there I went Oh that's crazy So you put everything In a locker
Starting point is 00:17:48 You leave everything In your car A locker Marie this is New Orleans You put everything In a trash bag And then where does The trash bag go
Starting point is 00:17:54 We fucking look like Katrina victims We had clothes In trash bags Stop it You back there Like this with your bag You don't hold your bag
Starting point is 00:18:00 You get your ticket And someone who you don't know Who you met that night Who is not trustworthy Is watching your bag Okay And wait And so after your special
Starting point is 00:18:07 You went there And it's an underwear party Did they lift you up By your jockstrap And like No Truly Truly
Starting point is 00:18:13 This is how little gay people care. They went, you have a what? Anyway. They said, you said you special? We all special, baby. They're like, oh, yeah, no, I got a special on Tubi right now. What you mean? I also got a special on OnlyFans.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Yeah, they got a special on OnlyFans, special discounted rate. Yeah, by the way, everyone can't be on OnlyFans. Y'all, we've reached critical mass. Is that your mess? Is that what you're coming out with? No, that's a little bit of my mess. Everybody can't. Everybody, someone's got to pay for it.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Are you, are we all just passing the same $20 around if everybody's on there, right? So you're saying everybody can't be on OnlyFans? Not everybody. I think we're within six months of being like, okay, close the door. We don't, we got enough. Everyone. Well, we're not on OnlyFans. I know y'all ain't on OnlyFans.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Everybody in this room isn't on OnlyFans. But everyone in here, everyone here knows. Everyone in here knows somebody on OnlyFans. I would guarantee everybody in this room knows at least five people on OnlyFans. Like personally Yeah No I don't know
Starting point is 00:19:14 Maybe like two Maybe You know what Gay men might be A very specific group Yeah Speak for yourself It's your community sir
Starting point is 00:19:22 It's not ours You know what That's us That's on us That's on us But they Everybody on there Everybody
Starting point is 00:19:27 And sometimes You see the pictures You go Can I give you some notes No Yay I'm not gonna give you no money But I'm gonna give you some notes
Starting point is 00:19:34 Yeah I think you know Maybe you know Clean up in the back What is this This is a sock Get this out of here So every now and then, I think that people need to, I think we could do less public sex work because we do need there to be mystery.
Starting point is 00:19:50 We need some allure. That being said, I feel like if we started an OnlyFans, people would be like, well, I got to see what they talking about. Cocky black bitches. Let's see what makes them feel so good about themselves. My OnlyFans, I would fully be wearing a turtleneck. Because it's like you got to cover the neck. No, no, no I'm going to have a thick turtleneck on

Starting point is 00:21:40 She's not a Coochie expert. She is a Coochie connoisseur. I'm not a Coochie connoisseur. You're not a Coochie sommelier? I don't know how many Coochies y'all think I've been in. It's not in, but you've seen them. You don't have to get them to know what they look like. I know, but sometimes it's against my will.

Starting point is 00:22:21 Why do mom's people have their Coochie's? I don't know. She would wear the panties that just, like, the elastic is loose. A rip is on the side. And sometimes she's just like, hey, I want to sit on my couch without nothing on. She said, this is my couch. I'm going to sit on this couch bare. And it was a leather couch, too.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Big comfy couch, big comfy coochie. Big comfy coochie. Ramona. What, make it on a leather couch? Yeah. In the summertime or the wintertime? You asking? You're really good at journalism.

Starting point is 00:23:36 With balls Yeah yeah Suede and balls Don't go together Anyone who's I forgot about that Yeah yeah The balls yeah
Starting point is 00:23:43 And they hang So it's like It's dry Especially after the shower The balls After a shower Balls On a day like today
Starting point is 00:23:56 This is how they When I was walking here They're here When I was walking here On the couch after a shower Like mad I could never do this act out because I don't know balls like this.
Starting point is 00:24:05 This is what they're doing. Sydney, you don't know balls. I'm a ball expert. Hold on. Sydney, you don't know balls. And you don't know Gucci. I don't know nothing. I do nothing.
Starting point is 00:24:14 I know nothing. Marissa, listen. I dabble in balls. I know nothing. Sydney, you know balls. I don't. I know nothing. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I know nothing. Listen, if Sydney's a virgin now, we're rebranding. Sydney's a virgin. I'm not. Listen, I'm not a virgin. I just want people to know that, like, I am not the end-all be-all of what it, like, the Coochie's lesbian.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Yeah, yeah. I'm not an expert. Okay. We're not calling you an expert. Well, I did. I did. You did. We just saying if anybody in this room is an expert, it's you.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Yeah. I'm minor in Coochie. You minor? I get to go back to Coochie every now and then. When's the last time you went to some Coochie? I came blown by a spot up, but you know. It wasn't in New Orleans. It wasn't in New Orleans, but it was this month.
Starting point is 00:25:00 That's an indicator. The gay men are talking about coochies Times are rough Times are hard Snap benefits are gone, I gotta eat something He said he gotta eat something Snap benefits are gone, I gotta eat something Jay, that's mess
Starting point is 00:25:14 You need to call your congressman Jay, I need you to stop being funny Because we brought you in here for mess Okay, mess This whole thing has been mess No, no, no But I know you have your own personal mess But I'm actually here to
Starting point is 00:25:45 Talk to you about your mess Okay Y'all kind of teased it And said that I'm messy Yes So what mess do y'all think I'm going to bring And I can tell you if it aligns Jay, you know you're messy
Starting point is 00:25:55 You know you're mess You know you're mess You'll be on threads You'll be on Twitter You'll be on Instagram Every now and then I'm promoting my special So every now and then you gotta hook them with a little mess
Starting point is 00:26:07 You gotta say I'm really good But you know who's not I'm great at stand up And I love that about you Well because and it does tie to y'all Whenever you let's say you make an article And you go oh my gosh is comedy hot again And you don't include these two
Starting point is 00:26:23 You and you write an article About how sexy comedy has gotten And you don't include These two innovators Of hot girl Hot comic Hot black Hot queer
Starting point is 00:26:36 Hot sexy comedy I get to be mad Because I go You don't got to put me on there That's crazy But you don't got to put me on there You have to put them on there Sidney Maria
Starting point is 00:26:45 The reason people were like I got to dress up for this show Absolutely Well I want to say We are pioneering People who Take showers
Starting point is 00:26:52 And look like they do On stage Yeah I don't want to say it But we do We bought bathing back to comedy crop tops and cute heels when i started doing comedy they were like you can't wear shorts you can't show your legs you can't you can't wear a coat you can't wear anything cute i can't show
Starting point is 00:27:09 my way so that's like one level of the message i do like to call out when people don't you know pay homage to pioneers but then another thing is that you know right now it's a lot of motherfuckers who don't be that funny but they be super famous and then it kind of just shifts everyone's opinion Of what comedy is So then they see y'all They see me They go Oh I was laughing the whole time
Starting point is 00:27:30 I ain't never done that On a comedy show I go where you been Well who you been going to see They go Oh I usually I usually tell them I usually say what I do
Starting point is 00:27:37 For a living And then they They kind of riff off that I go baby I'm going to talk You don't got to worry I'm going to talk Yeah I got stuff to say
Starting point is 00:27:43 But Jay don't you think That like I get it Like pointing out Oh you know There's people who are doing Things that are not so Traditional
Starting point is 00:27:51 Or even things that You might not even Consider funny But why not just be funny like why do i have to point out the people who i don't well because you're funny i think that like i get to be funny but then i also kind of have to hold people to task because if you don't everything shifts and then you have your team telling you oh should you do this that this person is doing so then you have to be like okay i'm gonna make a very explicit call to action
Starting point is 00:28:19 basically we're like you're never gonna have to be like oh where does jay stand on this so if i If y'all were to be like, oh, Jay, would you ever do a crowd work Christmas special? No, I would not. A crowd work Christmas special? Isn't that crazy? Doesn't that sound crazy? It got a ring to it, though. Sydney, this boy got a little swing to it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:36 But that's what I'm saying. Like, it's some corny-ass shit out there. And every now and then, it does reach a point where I do like to call it out. Like, let's, okay. Like, okay. What you're saying was specific. No, when it comes, okay. When it comes to, like, a Tim Dillon.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Right now, Tim Dillon, he's super popular. but guess what you don't get to say you're against the american political machine and then also text jd vance that's crazy he texting jd vance yes what he texting him that's what i'm saying exactly exactly exactly but that's what i'm saying like you don't get to be like oh tear all this shit down and then be like what's up ivanka you don't get to do that she got tics yes yes what do you think she's doing morris coat yeah i mean i don't she seems like she don't really talk no i don't want to talk and i like i like being a little chippy i like having people go oh i don't know i got hey i gotta i gotta be careful around jay because jay if he sees some
Starting point is 00:29:35 shit he might call out i kind of like that i like that about you i like that because in the people i love we it's all love but if you ever go oh i'm a little bit worried good be a little worried around me because if not then where do we end up we end up in a place where everybody fake everybody lies and then like those lies sometimes it's like all that person's all that person's not the funniest but like innocent the other part of it is now some people are so actively racist and homophobic and transphobic and evil that people pretend to be friends with them so like if i make fun of joe and tony it's because motherfuckers from that club be like i love saying the n-word in green rooms because it lets other white comics know we in on this together i don't want to be
Starting point is 00:30:14 friends with you if you're a comic who goes on bobby lee's podcast and says oh you know every now and then i like to say nigger in the green room because it lets other white comics know that we in this together i don't want to be friends with you who said that ari from fucking mothership yeah and guess what if it's a joke work on that joke but if it's the truth you making cam look stupid because he came up with you you making every black comic who works a room with you look crazy no they don't uh-uh i disagree but you do that's you but if you but if you arms around these motherfuckers and photos they go on podcasts and say that shit work is work no work listen every time but that's the thing that's that's what i'm saying that that's a lot that
Starting point is 00:30:56 to me that's a line i can like be like no i'm not i can't be in a photo of you telling people you say nigga i'm good on that i'm good on that yeah i just say when we start talking about morals and integrity and comedy it's it's a very fine line just like oh i wouldn't work here but this place is it's ran by zionists so like what what is it what are we gonna talk about what are we doing i think that conversation is way more nuanced than like if you're going around bragging saying you want to say slurs i think that's a different conversation do you disagree i i think it's not the same yeah okay it's in a similar basket i just i don't ever want you to think that i'm okay with you talking crazy about people who i love or people who are a group of people
Starting point is 00:31:39 that i'm in so that then i'm like oh yeah we boys it's just it's just jokes and shit no i'm okay with that i'm okay with that call out but just the stuff about who's funny who's not because you're still platforming those people no sometimes but like if someone's really a lot of them already have big platforms yes i agree jay drag them if you don't think they're funny but then sometimes okay like perfect example if if someone says oh well jay like you don't like that person uh are you actually are you actually like jealous of them i have that's when i have to be like well look at my resume look at their resume they got a bunch of stuff i don't want i have a bunch of stuff that he's still trying to get so it is it's true though the only thing i have more than me is
Starting point is 00:32:20 probably followers and money but if you look at respect because the respect of my peers and the respect of my fans and the people who follow me and my patrons that's super important to me that's nice but i'll take a little more money money but money also money but money i mean money also is like there's a certain amount of money where i go okay you making good money but people kind of looking at you 30 million dollars from live nation but for what but for what what do you do a tour where though to do a crowd work special to do a crowd work million dollars nah jay jordan you You're not Christmas. Get the Sabrina party here.
Starting point is 00:32:54 $30 million? $30 million for a crowd work festival. You would not do it. You're doing it. No. Jay. Jay. You're lying.
Starting point is 00:33:03 I'm a liar. Okay. Other people should know about me. A gay liar. Yeah. Never met one of those. Never met one of those, Jay. Way to be redundant.
Starting point is 00:33:11 No. $30 million? How long? You don't got to repeat the number. You going to do it. How long? You're going to do it. How many cities?
Starting point is 00:33:19 Jay, I don't want to hear it. How many cities? you know how many cities did you go to for your i did i mean i worked on that tour for about two years i do like 30 dates a year for the past two years so like like 30 cities is fun that's a lot yeah 30 cities but crowd work for 30 i don't want to 30 million dollars that would be so painful that's a million dollars but my ego is so big i want to talk for the hour i hate talking to people and they're not fun okay so it doesn't have to be a crowd work okay it has it doesn't need to be 30 cities but 30 million to do a christmas you're doing it jay you're doing it sweater i got what
Starting point is 00:33:58 like a polo joint okay you're unserious i got a couple polo sweaters i could wear if ralph lauren is sponsoring and i get a polo brand campaign you get 30 million dollars no you gotta sweeten it you gotta make it better sweeter than 30 million dollars bitch okay so So do I... Okay, let's look at... Okay, let me see if I can really justify this. Let me ask Sidney. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Before you do that, Sidney, $30 million Christmas crowd work. Yes. I wouldn't even think twice about it. Before you would even say Christmas, yes, whatever you said, $30 million, yes. $30 million. $30 million. But no one... Think of all the SNAP benefits you can provide.
Starting point is 00:34:40 You could reopen the government with that. Jay, you're... You can't reopen the government with that. The whole thing is you'll be like, oh, this... I'm snooty. I'm elitist. about comedy yes we and that's where i'm gonna i want to stop everybody okay we are not curing cancer we are not doctors we are not lawyers but we are still artists we're artists we're
Starting point is 00:34:58 entertainers why are we nitpicking what is this what is if that if they have a lane and people are flocking to them let them do their thing but i got my own people i'm not focused on it but i think we should be able to make fun of dog shit yes you should i agree you should be able to be both of y'all you should be able to be like man you got your own lane but if you ever come over here i'll be like don't come over here of course and those people will not be in my circles but all i want to do is i don't know the people that i know i don't even want to talk about the people who i don't really care about like beyonce is not mentioning people who she don't know but tell me who okay so beyonce is us in this situation who i don't want to what name were you about to say
Starting point is 00:35:35 what name were you about to say but yeah what name were you about to say i'm not saying no names no but like okay i'll say this if beyonce wanted to make fun of krishan rock you can make fun of krishan rock you beyonce but that's no crashing down literally literally i think the uh the right way uh the right way to do it is somebody uh lower like a mid-tier let's say carrie hilson oh wait wait wait whoa okay right but she already made fun of beyonce she got in trouble and you see what happened but if i but that's okay but i'm not carrie hilson in this situation oh no no who's Who's below SZA
Starting point is 00:36:13 Okay Okay Let's call you SZA Okay I'm SZA But SZA work with Beyonce Right but that's not Okay They friends
Starting point is 00:36:21 Let's say you SZA Okay So somebody We have to think about somebody Who's more successful Or more famous than SZA Okay But less talented
Starting point is 00:36:28 Morgan Wallen Jelly Roll Okay Okay Are they more I don't even know who those people are Yeah they're more famous than Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll
Starting point is 00:36:36 Are more famous than SZA That's a country artist And then a chef Jelly Roll He looked like a chef But he is a country artist Is he a reality TV Action Bronson
Starting point is 00:36:46 Action Bronson He's also a rapper They look like He look like Jelly Roll What's his song Jelly Roll Yeah I mean
Starting point is 00:36:51 What song he got He got a Jelly Roll been making money People love Jelly Roll He created peanut butter Jelly time If you've never seen Jelly Roll
Starting point is 00:36:59 You know the people Who operate the Ferris wheel And like the fair Carnies Yeah He's a carny He's got a carny look He looks very carny
Starting point is 00:37:10 You ever Okay You ever been you ever been in you ever been in the dollar general yes okay that's a jelly roll whoever you see when you walk in i'm looking right now somebody with a big back you ever seen a family dollar okay oh he got face tattoos let me see oh they got a lot of nerve but you understand what i'm saying so i feel like you're talking about people who have i'm talking about taste versus like popularity i guess and and but you have to remember the time that we live in and people
Starting point is 00:37:39 love famous people and people want to be famous for the sake of being famous and you don't really have to have any skills to be famous in 2025 I know it's not my job but when I see people
Starting point is 00:37:48 taking up space and not necessarily earning it it's not even an earned thing it's that they don't respect their fans they don't respect the kind of like
Starting point is 00:37:59 art form that they're in and they don't necessarily even respect their peers who are more skilled than them but not necessarily as marketable because they did not have whatever people want to latch on to at the moment.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I do feel okay calling them out. I do. I feel okay saying, Hey, this system is so fucked up. And you know why I know it's fucked up. This person is super popular and produces nothing but dog shit. And this person is a genius and they're having to struggle.
Starting point is 00:38:26 I think that as a person who's kind of in the middle of all that shit, I feel like I do well enough, but I'm also very skilled. Like, I think that you, I think I get to be like, Hey, why don't you look at this person?
Starting point is 00:38:38 And then people, oh that person's not popular yeah but that person's popular they suck once you make this first of all you got to remember this right in a post-pandemic world i feel like stand-up comedy is going through a renaissance yeah true and the renaissance is very much everybody wants to be a comedian and a lot of these say that a lot of these influences a lot of these influencers their agents and managers are like you got a lot of followers people don't know this people don't know this people actually don't know that this happens so what happens is that people like get popular from whatever they get whatever whatever viral video yeah whatever and so then they keep
Starting point is 00:39:11 doing the video and then people like sign them so then they get like a manager and an agent they get a team and that team says hey you should go on tour what makes me upset about those tours is they are scamming those people because people pay money to see them they go out they pay money to see them and what they're paying for is a scam what they're paying for insurance is what they're paying for is a government is a scam is like a modified scam everybody's getting scammed left right but y'all don't scam people i don't scam people our peers who we like don't scam people well i mean you know not on stage we don't be scamming people no no no on stage people are pleasantly surprised yeah that have never seen me yeah like oh my god that was so funny and
Starting point is 00:39:49 they fuck with you and they go and they go i'm coming back with these other people they never say they're coming back they go well that's what the experience that's what one of the i was at some comedy club and uh the owner said the same thing he was like these influencers show up and the crowds are full and they sell out the shows and they do like their one viral video and after that it gets really sometimes they go they say you want to see an unreleased video what they're playing the videos they go pull screen now no the comedy clubs are doing that yeah that's messy the crowds realize very quickly that the jokes ain't there or that they go oh you know what you're gonna be listen marie's gonna be a live event you're gonna stay a phone event and i would
Starting point is 00:40:32 be okay if that was happening if he went i'm never gonna see you laugh i'm gonna watch you on that phone though i'm gonna watch that phone but that's what happens these people pay all this money to see their faves the jokes don't land you can say the jokes ain't there the jokes ain't there or they go how much time i gotta do please do 45 i can give you 20 okay so bring that i'm gonna bring five of my friends they go do time so then these people mad because they gotta watch people they don't know yep so this becomes a showcase but now these these these uh fans never come back when but i will say to sydney's point i understand why i my mess might turn some people off someone asked me recently they said but jay what if a person is friends with a person you talk shit about and now
Starting point is 00:41:13 they can't be friends you i said well you know what that's a loss i gotta take that l i gotta take that has that happened to you someone said that well some yeah someone said one time they're like wow jay man you're really getting on my boy i said why is he why is he still your boy if i'm getting on him this hard and we're boys okay i'm still gonna be friends with you but that's you know if that's your boy get your boy what if what if he's trying to check you yeah but he didn't that's what's crazy but jay what if it's like oh i like jay he's so funny but every time i talk to him he's dragging somebody who's not funny that's not a vibe either but you hear producers laughing so it is kind of funny it is kind of a vibe if you think every time every time i see
Starting point is 00:41:56 jay he mad at somebody that's not true i'm joyful we were just talking about cushion yeah we were is joy the room lit up yes but her name was joy when i see i will i will say a personal thing that i've seen on tiktok yes you have been that's your thing like it's not a call-in it's a call-out well i think and i think on tiktok you want a hook you want to be like but i think that's like i think that's maybe 10 of my online shit the rest of it is me talking about comic books me talking about comedy not in a bad way like in a good way me shouting people out maybe like all these people are so funny yeah x-men we talking about x-men talking about animals i think that it is a smaller portion but it does get a bit more attention because people i i like the fact
Starting point is 00:42:42 that some people do consider me just a person they can go to and be like, ooh, what's going on? What's kind of messy? Because that has been lost. We have lost a little bit of like everybody's friends.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I, my mess, and this is my, I don't think everybody needs to be friends. No. Never. I agree. Everybody doesn't need to be friends,
Starting point is 00:42:58 but I don't think you need to be mean to somebody that you don't like. I have been, there have been two instances where I, if I look back on it, I went, ooh, okay, that was a little hot.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Oh, what'd you do? That was a little hot. Talk about it. That was a little hot. Well, okay, so this is what happened this is what happened so one time
Starting point is 00:43:13 so I told someone that I was working on something and you know and then they were like oh and if it doesn't sell you can just cut it up and put it on the internet
Starting point is 00:43:22 and I said if it doesn't sell I said who you talking to if it doesn't sell I said who you talking to it sold by the way okay
Starting point is 00:43:30 boop so then so then you know I did say something a little crazy about this person and now what did you say
Starting point is 00:43:38 well you could it's on there it's on threads it's i've said we don't have that time to scroll that you you can guess who i said this about if you want to if well tell us what you say yeah and then they were on a bravo show i think now we know uh so that situation happened at uh it happened at a party where they said that to me and the reason i had a reaction they said that to me in front of like other comedians who are more famous than both of us and i was like who the fuck you saying this to me look time out don't ever okay so that's why i was like okay i'm gonna have to i actually got to check you and so that was like why there was a call but looking back on it i don't think i had
Starting point is 00:44:15 to but i did and that's the world we live in yes no yeah but that is a crazy but now y'all got it that is a crazy thing to say to me in front of royal jr and alana glazer right right am i crazy Yes, but I can. Maria, great. No, no, truly. But somebody who's not in the game like the rest of the people, they could have just been thinking like, oh, this this. You just cut it up. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:44:41 Like because they're not thinking about it in the same way as you think about comedy. You're not wrong, but it's still a crazy thing to say. Yes. No, no. Truly, truly. Like I did. I was like, what? but in the world and the time of social media it makes sense for someone like that to be like
Starting point is 00:44:59 well at least you have clips yeah yeah and you know i'm always gonna have clips i kind of think about clips and social media in a way of like oh these are always just commercials for you to come see me live because what people don't know is that the way comics make money right now touring and like then if you get some sort of deal through someone who is making something or like a larger producing body or just like if you sell anything but like the first like the first thing that's gonna make you money right now is being on tour spot pay is wonderful in the city and if you pass the right clubs but like once you go to tour once you once you sell good on weekends once you hit your bonuses touring is everybody's touring musicians podcasters stand-up comedians crazy
Starting point is 00:45:39 then in the summertime it's festivals it's and this is why nobody has any money but my but my my goal especially like right now like you could watch my special hulu and you go see me and i'm doing a different hour than the hulu right now like you can i try to make my tour experiences kind of in regards to what we said with those clubs i want people to go oh my god i have to see jay again yes oh my god i have to go back jay's amazing yeah that's my goal that's what i always do that's also why i'm so like precious about comedy because like the minute you start turning people away from comedy you are fucking with my money a little bit just in a larger picture if people start to think stand-up comedy is not good live you have fucked with me
Starting point is 00:46:26 a little bit that's not true that is i disagree i see what your mind is doing but it's great my fans i think my fans are gonna be my fans but if people start going i'll say i'm coming not that funny i have to go you're wrong you're wrong and here's a list of people who are very funny and very good life i have to do that because these people have poisoned the well no dating is trash but everybody is still dating no matter how many times everybody is not still dating there are people who are there are plenty of people specifically women and men who can't dating because they're like i can't do i'm not doing the apps i'm not it's it's poop in the pool it's a lot of people i agree with you a little bit and i i just want to be honest with you a lot of those
Starting point is 00:47:08 girls that are online they're lying i'm not talking about that i'm saying in general women you're saying you're saying that everybody who's who hates dating is still dating that's what you say yes no they can't stop talking about it that's not true but if someone's like still dating but they've been celibate for a year that's they ain't really dating no more that they kind of people and i think if you're the penis expert and you're the coochie expert i think i'm the dating expert okay all right people are in my dms people are in my dms every day any city i go to they're talking to me about dating in that city every day they're everyone is unhappy about it and they're people who fully are like listen i ain't been on a date in this many years there's
Starting point is 00:47:49 some not there's some famous tiktok accounts where they went i'm gonna go date sober for a year i'm gonna be celibate for a year and like they aren't they aren't gay man because impossible but a lot women a lot of non-binary people a lot of people who like have had bad experiences with dating i just don't want i i'm protective and precious with stand-up comedy because i love it so much and because it's changed my life and like i know i'm like mean and harsh about it but i do i fully admit that i do it i love but i i also never push back whenever y'all whenever both y'all like well jay you messy do i ever go i'm not messy i go you right yeah i thought you damn right i go i go pull the tweet up i go repost it if you want to screenshot it send it somebody
Starting point is 00:48:34 someone one time they were like oh well jay it's always like straight white guys they go aren't you worried about aren't you worried about your career and i go why are you whispering they go aren't you worried about not okay i'll go listen i always make a very calculated point that if i ever say something crazy about you it's because i'm okay never working with you that is my thing so no Matt Rife and Jay Jordan tour truly never
Starting point is 00:49:01 let me tell you something no Christmas right now comedy special that's his though that's what he's doing that's what he's doing that's why he got
Starting point is 00:49:08 that's why they keep throwing money at him yeah yeah and you know what they ain't throwing none of them respect respectfully
Starting point is 00:49:14 I'll tell you what there's not a single I know a lot of people who got a lot of respect in comedy and they cannot pay their bills who?
Starting point is 00:49:21 I don't want to put nobody's name out there but a lot of respect or just respect yeah like a lot of respect they write jokes they're funny but like a lot of respect and they can't pay their bills they can't pay their bills okay all right they can write a joke they get laughs on stage okay they're booked at places and they can't pay their bill and they ain't got it like that okay it's not like they need to start an only fans well can we can we look at the expenditure we gotta look at the money going out
Starting point is 00:49:50 I mean, I'm also like, I'm a very, what's the best way to put this? I'm like, cause I'm 37. I'm also at a place where I just, I truly don't want to ever have to be around people I don't like for a long time. So like if I ever had to like sit, sit around with people who like, I don't think are funny, who I don't respect, who don't like gay people, who don't like black people, who don't like trans people, I'm just going to be like, well, I'm getting up. I just don't have that sort of like, I need y'all to like me energy anymore.
Starting point is 00:50:19 i just don't have it and because like i kind of have i'm spoiled i'm very spoiled i admit that i'm very lucky i'm very spoiled i have gotten everything i've wanted in comedy so far while talking shit and you know what that's why you're gonna keep talking shit no one's ever been like oh well no jay we can't we can't put we can't put you on the podcast with joe nigga i didn't ask that's the thing and if he wanted to if he was like we gotta reach out so we could argue i'd be like okay let's talk about champs let's talk about bears let's talk about wrestling let's talk about kinesiology let's talk about muscles let's talk about bodybuilding we can talk about anything except for trans people and if we do that now we're gonna fight because like what
Starting point is 00:50:58 what do i want from some of these people besides access to netflix hulu or uh i guess amazon or hbo well that's what i'm like if i really say you got it all you got everything that you want that I've never heard Nobody say that Like that He said everything He's wanted in comedy He's gotten so far
Starting point is 00:51:19 He's gotten You've been on The Tonight Show How many times Four times Yeah You have the Hulu special Yeah
Starting point is 00:51:23 I got that while talking shit You got that while talking shit I got that after At the beginning of the year People said Oh Jay I don't know If you have enough followers To get a special
Starting point is 00:51:30 And then you said Well Don't post these commercials That's okay And then you have You have a Netflix No I don't have a Netflix You didn't do the
Starting point is 00:51:38 10 minutes No Oh And the crazy part About Netflix Is that I did a warm up I did a warm up Oh, you did a warm-up.
Starting point is 00:51:44 I did a warm-up for the verified stand-up. They asked me to do that. I said, absolutely. And here's the crazy part. So they asked me, and I said, okay, I walk in, Rosebud, Dulce, Nimesh, Jamarco, Robbie. They went, Jay, you going up? I said, I'm doing a warm-up. They said, why?
Starting point is 00:51:58 I said, as in? I was traveling when that happened, so I wasn't in town for that anyway. But they were like, I know you're away, but Netflix asked if you can warm up. Well, we can actually talk about the mess that is that. I'll say it. So I'm not about to I'm not about to burn the bridge, but this is writ large. Whenever you ask black comedians who you think are very funny to warm up a crowd, you go, oh, yeah, I know this crowd likes me because I'm going to crush. But y'all are using black people when you could have put them on the lineup.
Starting point is 00:52:37 But then they kind of go, oh, no, we want you to. it was the way that i took it was funny enough to get the room hot yeah but not funny enough to showcase me like you're showcasing the other but also in regards to that particular when they tried that failed experiment in part because it couldn't make anyone pop off the way they wanted to because they didn't chop it up for the people individually they just they cut it in two oh they so you had to so it they didn't even get to go watch mine they had to say hey if you two people in it's gonna get good yeah so and that was like a thing that like looking back on it silver lining for me because then i just was like oh okay i won okay thank goodness but like i got
Starting point is 00:53:19 i gotta do netflix fast i get netflix a joke fast i've got to do jfl i got to do variety i like did all three jfls this year i've no one's ever said oh jay we can't put you on this thing because you talk shit because guess what i'm never talking shit about producers i'm never talking shit about execs i'm talking shit about a comic who i don't like i'm talking shit about comic who said something stupid i'm talking about i'm talking shit about a comic who like i don't think is fit to like wash my jockstrap that's who i'm talking about but but what about the execs what about the what about the networks those are the big businesses that are actually the reason why but guess what like that can get on you gotta talk shit but there's a crazy part about the
Starting point is 00:53:59 needs them oh i like this no no i love it no no no i love it is there industry in the building we love people go oh are you talking shit yeah i'm not talking shit about robbie and netflix i'm talking shit about people who i go i don't love this whatever it is you're doing on and athletes get to talk shit artists get to talk shit the fact that people think comics can't talk shit that limits us doesn't it but comics do talk shit exactly about stuff and society and about each other it's people that go to it's people to sit down at the clubs that we are at after they do that set and argue for hours i mean yeah right we've all seen people we go y'all stop fighting in front of all these people they go no we argue we argue we argue the minute i kind of go
Starting point is 00:54:45 i don't think that bitch funny they go oh yeah why would you say that listen it was a comic that posted something on their Instagram a couple weeks ago that had everybody at certain clubs mad. Yeah. And that was a lie. And that was a lie. And that was a big old fat lie.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Am I lying? Am I? No. No, no, no. Because guess what? The craziest part about that, if you say that about a club and you walk back in
Starting point is 00:55:12 and accept money from that club, that club needs to go, hey man, just so you know. Don't be talking about the staff here. But he was there the next week. The next day. But that's what I'm saying. He's there.
Starting point is 00:55:21 The club is not going to ban him. To me, that's messier than anything I'm doing. That's messy. That's real messy. I'm just going, hey, this is the way the industry works. Every now and then on Threads, every now and then on Twitter. I would even argue that what I'm doing is a public service. You know what?
Starting point is 00:55:37 You're a philanthropist. I'm a philanthropist. I'm giving money back. I'm passing out turkeys like, you know, Brown on Thanksgiving. I'm helping these people. I'm helping people go, oh, Jay, Jay, Jay talks a little shit. He's still got everything he wants. Maybe I can talk a little shit.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Here's what I'm going to say about it. here's what i'm gonna say here's what i'm gonna say about it as a comedian once people decide they like you once they decide that you're funny they they on board with anything that you say and you do that's it hey well i mean in in the bad way too because chris delia still be having people come see him they'd be bringing their kids he's a prop he's a problematic dude but he was funny the whole time he's also you can say it he you can say it the allegations is out there yeah statutory statutory you are barely 18 and a cult basically while the wife was pregnant yeah but the wife was pregnant yeah but didn't adam levine do the same thing this is men in entertainment
Starting point is 00:56:29 it really is i mean was just kind of cheating he was cheating okay he said my wife is big for some reason what you doing tonight he said that no i did not say that marie she was pregnant she's fat now over the past over the past seven months this helped her to let herself go she whoo it's all in the belly too feet flat nose spreading what's up where are you at where are you cheating on your pregnant wife is mess but also like because all three of us get along i accept these conversations and these critiques and these notes from y'all if y'all weren't funny i wouldn't let y'all say this to me you know what
Starting point is 00:57:30 i'm saying but you know what i'm saying if i didn't sustain but that's true but if y'all weren't funny if we didn't come together if i didn't love y'all i'd be like what the fuck y'all know about because Because truly, some people will defend mediocrity. Not only mediocrity, but they'll go, oh, why do people have to be good? And I go, well, that's a crazy question. Who is asking that? Everyone. Why do people have to be good?
Starting point is 00:57:53 I've never heard that. Everyone says, oh, you don't have to be good now. You just got to make sure you find your angle. Find your clip. Find it. Find it. Find it. Why are you trying to be good?
Starting point is 00:58:00 That sounds like somebody who's not good. People who are not good talk like that. But I'm saying. Find your angle for a clip. But I'm saying a lot of people aren't good. and what they see as they go people are chasing virality people are chasing desperation people are chasing people are treating stand-up comedy not like something you like work on and get better at and you go i'm doing stand-up comedy but i'm gonna do this side i'm gonna do stand-up comedy
Starting point is 00:58:23 i'm gonna get this one i'm gonna get this one guest star role on an episode of tv go back to stand-up comedy i'm doing stand-up comedy i'm gonna go in this writer's room for a little bit i'm gonna stand up comedy i'm gonna get to do this movie i'm gonna do stand-up comedy i get to do the shorter set on the network but i could do back back to her my hour people aren't treating like that people are treating like stand-up comedy like oh if i have this one clip of this one crowd member telling me that his dick don't work it's gonna make me a superstar and i don't like that i do not like it and so when people kind of give that advice to everyone in the beginning when when you send that motherfucking trap pause at open mic when you asking people at an open mic
Starting point is 00:59:02 what they do for a living nigga the same thing as you waiting to get five minutes on this list i don't like it i don't like it and i know my only thing is is like i'm not even pulling the ladder up behind me because i shout out comics every no you do i will say that you do use your your platform for good and my platform ain't even that big no no i think enough i hear i am here for that the only thing is like i'll be at the the comedy clubs or people have these discussions about comedy and I'm gonna hit them with Kim people are dying true I'm just like
Starting point is 00:59:36 we be hung up on comedy is ridiculous it's like I rather I rather the people that I follow online that I enjoy or like an example Marie will talk about her shit that she's got going on in the she'll specifically this person is
Starting point is 00:59:51 stupid that happened to me instead of hitting random people that she's doesn't that are not really entangled with i feel like that is that doesn't do it for me i want to hear about your shit what's going on in your life is there but is there a line when like their kind of homophobia racism transphobia or just sort of bigotry reaches uh reaches like a critical mass where you as a black person as a queer person as a person with a bunch of trans people who you love in your life isn't there
Starting point is 01:00:23 sometimes where you gotta say hey man there's some people saying some stupid ass shit right now i have to address it or just so you know not all stand-up comics are okay with this motherfucking shit right because that is a place where we are headed because every interview i have now people go oh don't you love the fact that like comedy is getting back to comedy you can say whatever you want i can say whatever the fuck i want all the time those motherfuckers want to say stupid shit yeah there is a difference that's like i i think i have to say it because i don't i i don't think anyone else is qualified both from a marginalized identity standpoint from a popularity standpoint from a traditional success standpoint and from an internet success standpoint
Starting point is 01:01:06 to call out because they go oh jay's not funny well that's a lie oh jay's not successful well that's a lie oh jay doesn't why does jay care about these groups i'm part of these groups i think because of that kind of triangulation of effects i feel like i have to like say something every now and then you're neo you're the one i'm not i don't i was gonna say you're the malcolm x of comedy i'm not the malcolm x of comedy i'm 100 by any means necessary because i used to be a hoe uh i'm not he was a sex worker uh oh my god he was he was he was i wasn't in the movie malcolm x was a sex worker wait a minute it might have been in the beginning he was wait when he was hooking up with that white woman malcolm x was a hustler he was he people paid
Starting point is 01:01:48 him for sex which people black people is it in the book malcolm x was a sex worker look it up look it up right now did you get this from lipstick alley no i got this from dumois yes yes yeah he had a he had a by only fans mean necessary let me look this up you said malcolm x was a sex worker was a sex worker yeah michael was a male prostitute why do you put this in the special because that's the next hour malcolm triple x i'm gonna malcolm x sex work malcolm at malcolm triple x by any peens necessary by any peens necessary they said malcolm x bisexual question mark that's in reddit question mark that's how you know the root malcolm x and his sexual past get to the root from the rooter to the tutor the sex work of malcolm x sick of
Starting point is 01:02:42 being lonely was it every night while my man goes out with his homies i want to know what it means okay it did say a teenage malcolm was back doing sex work with a rich white guy oh not lobster and pasta he be feeding me lobster and pasta that's what I'm saying I'm like there's just so much that you can talk about
Starting point is 01:03:17 that's not people in your field that's the majority of the stuff I talk about like if you actually I think me calling people out does get a little bit of focus and i do like that because as a queer black person i'll say as a queer person as a queer person they really don't expect queer men to pop off they expect us to be meek they expect us to be quiet about this shit they expect us to let everyone call us all types
Starting point is 01:03:42 of faggots they expect no none of us to be funny on stage for straight people they don't expect us to be able to do well in straight rooms that's so crazy if in this day and age after all that the gays have given us and all that they all of the the entertainment that they provide listen these dudes still are mad they can't say faggot so now they say faggot and they think everyone's gonna be like oh they said it but so like that but that's like that's their push that's like their they want to be able to punchline not only that's their punchline that's like their they really mean that even because like a while ago louis had a joke where he was figuring out how you can say nigger and how you can say faggot and now they're still doing that and you kind of
Starting point is 01:04:22 be like louis ck did this joke years ago and he figured out but as soon as he did it they all tried to do it yeah oh we were coming up there 2016 2017 2015 trying to drop it yeah an n word an f word a c word and so when that like has a place to like thrive and fester and metastasize and get bigger and bigger and bigger if i don't call that out then i feel kind of crazy and i've done less of like just calling out people who are like i don't think that person's funny i've done a little bit less now i'm kind of like oh that person's an asshole oh that person like is pretty transphobic i've tried to make it less of like i don't think this person is funny because that is more that is subjective yes that is subjective some people you know they gonna do they gonna do
Starting point is 01:05:06 what they want to do and people gonna do what they gonna do that might be the title of the episode They're going to do what they're going to do. They're going to do what they're going to do. Or Snap Coochie Benefits. Snap Coochie Benefits is a hook. It's a hook right there. Right. Or Malcolm Triple XL.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Yeah. Malcolm Triple XL. By any pains necessary. Yeah, yeah. That's the one. Yeah, yeah. Marie, we didn't land on Plymouth Cock. Plymouth Cock landed on us.
Starting point is 01:05:31 Landed in us. In us. No, hit your forehead first. On us. On the side of us. But I like, I also, but like, I want to have this conversation with y'all. The thing that actually makes me, when I get heated, is when people who I don't like say this stuff to me. Because I go, I don't like you.
Starting point is 01:05:48 Why are you talking to me? Has anybody ever pulled up on you? Oh, yeah. What'd they say? People, people. So what happened, I think I was, I was at a party. I was at some sort of comedy party. Right in front of the vodka soda?
Starting point is 01:05:59 They was like, let me talk to you for a minute. No, this is what they said. It was a pomegranate drink. This is what they said. they said hey you know you're probably gonna get farther like not talking shit about people and i went to exactly what i said y'all day i said i have not talked shit about anyone who i want to work with that's it and if someone goes oh which i want to work with you roll the tape make sure make sure you want to work with me because like well it's true just make sure make sure you want
Starting point is 01:06:28 to work with me not even i don't want to work with you but make sure you want to work with me if i've that shit about you and that shit stung sorry here let's talk about this so our friend and yours io and deborah was on a podcast which asked her a question she made a comment about jayla yeah then fast forward i don't know how many years they asked like seven or eight right seven years later they asked io to host snl and the musical guest jennifer lopez somebody yeah somebody messy yeah dug up the podcast yeah and was like look at what she has yeah who who did that people on the internet bored people sleuth people people could do that about me with j-lo but then they also had to be like listen i have made fun of her but i also said waiting for tonight is one of the
Starting point is 01:07:19 best gay songs ever waiting for tonight changes gay people's lives when it comes on during pride i'm gonna add an amendment to that it's just a great song it's a great song okay i was gonna Waiting for tonight I still see the green lights But I'm saying I don't ever pretend like What I said on the internet Didn't occur
Starting point is 01:07:42 Like it's just Oh you've not You've not done a sweep You've not done a A tweet cleanse I mean the tweet Don't they They cleanse after
Starting point is 01:07:50 A certain amount of time No they do not baby Cause after the whole Kevin Hart fiasco When his old tweets got dug up that's when I cleared mine because I don't know what the hell I was talking about
Starting point is 01:08:01 in 2010. I mean, I probably have, no, it's hard for me to be like, oh, I don't stand by that because if it was funny, I usually say something so crazy. Yeah, but you might have, you might have tweeted something
Starting point is 01:08:11 in 2012 that you don't necessarily, let me look up, let me look up Jay Jerton 2012 tweet. But it's so hard for, I'm also, I'm black and I'm gay. If I say a nigga,
Starting point is 01:08:23 if I say a faggot, let it rock. No, but we're not, but you're not getting in trouble for that. You wouldn't get in trouble for that. What would I get in trouble for? If I may, I think I'm pretty good. Kevin Hart tweeted about throwing a house on his gay son.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Yeah, he said he was going to hit his son over the head with a dollhouse if he got it. At the time. And then he didn't get the Oscars. That's what happened. Okay. Jay Jordan. Controversial tweet. This is seven years ago.
Starting point is 01:08:43 I just want to be naked on HBO before I die. And then that happened. And then my ass was on HBO High Maintenance. Yeah. I got to put my booty on there. They asked for dick. My team, I said yes. They asked for front.
Starting point is 01:08:56 I said yes. My team said, Jay, don't say yes. Like, we can negotiate just for butt. I said, I can show my dick. They said, Jay, this is your first time on TV. Let's wait. Jay said, let's just say it is dick. I said, I'll send a text now.
Starting point is 01:09:08 They said, no, no, no, no, no. He said, I'm not mad at it. He said, put it on there. My dick need an agent, too. Okay, that was solid. That was solid. I think it's harder to find crazy stuff for me because my existence online is crazy.
Starting point is 01:09:21 If I'm talking about wanting to blow one of the X-Men, you ain't going to be like, we trust everything he said. you know what i'm saying if i'm talking about oh i need to suck bishop's dick like that's not which one is bishop he's the one with the locks oh my god it's tougher for you to take me seriously you're killing me it's true though i feel like you did it i honestly jay i'm not gonna lie yeah i've said before i'm like jay is really funny yeah well you know he he always but you're not wrong for saying that i would never be like i can't believe sydney said i'm starting drama anyway girl guess what like no no no i don't disagree obviously yeah that's why i was like
Starting point is 01:09:58 oh i'm glad you came to the bar and you've you've shifted i said fuck in the middle of it so i was like all right i guess he's got mad points well it's just but i the harder part for me isn't oh that person's not funny the harder part for me is that person actually is kind of evil because if someone said okay oh jay because we all know motherfuckers who are kind of evil and like in this industry in this industry i mean like truly where you go oh you're like oh you're the devil oh holy shit so like that has been the shift for me so now that's the execs that's the producers let's see like that's the network i got i can't not fighting those people i can't but but here's the thing i do call out streamers i literally said i said a few weeks ago i said if you want
Starting point is 01:10:43 to turn your platform into a into like a rental space for people who are bad then you're not gonna have any you're not gonna have any critical acclaim so if you want to put people in front of all your fans and all the people who are subscribers to your stuff who are not good at comedy don't be surprised when those fans are terrible and make you create terrible
Starting point is 01:11:04 shit and like if you know who that's about you know who that's about if you know what trend that is you know what trend that is and that's me calling them out because they saw numbers they saw numbers but be for real they saw numbers on YouTube and they said oh let's do that
Starting point is 01:11:19 And then the YouTube people, they forgot. YouTube people are different than subscriber people. Because them YouTube people, they like YouTube because they can say evil shit directly to you. They want to go, it's not funny, it's not funny, it's not funny, it's not funny, it's not funny, it's not funny. Oh my gosh, this black girl got my dick so hard, but she's not funny, she's not funny, she's not funny. Like, that's what they, you know what I'm saying. But like, it is a very, it is a very kind of like, it's a intentional effort on my part whenever I call shit out. I've never been like
Starting point is 01:11:49 Oh that person Who's new at comedy Isn't funny Because keep in mind Part of the reason People like Kill Tony Is they get to see people bomb I don't want to see people
Starting point is 01:11:57 Who are just starting out Comedy bombing And have them ruin their careers I don't want that for them Because I didn't have to go through that And I'm better for not Having gone through that But because the
Starting point is 01:12:07 The resources are limited Everything's kind of shrunk People go This is the only way I can make it The only way I can make it The only way I can make it Is let this man make fun of me Yeah but
Starting point is 01:12:15 But there are people Who've made it big on King Tony and now they're on SNL. Shout out to Cam. But guess what? You can't be racist
Starting point is 01:12:23 and then have the only person who makes it out of your fucking racist bullshit be a nigga from Orlando. And I'm just saying. What? But he did. What?
Starting point is 01:12:33 You can't be racist and have the only person who makes it be a guy from Orlando be a black person from Orlando and then keep saying racist shit.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Okay. Well, at this point, I don't even know if Cam is still affiliated with them. Exactly. Is he? Probably not.
Starting point is 01:12:47 probably not no more let's see if we can get them on the pod you don't need them but here's it but but if get on it but if your whole thing is you want white boys to get up in front of a panel of other comedians and say nigger then your most the most famous person from your open mic it is an open mic your most famous person from an open mic is a nigga that shit ain't lining up for me because you need to be nice to niggas because they're giving credibility to your bullshit is that not true why not i don't think that the black people are giving them credibility the white people don't think they need it but you're like we're gonna say what we want anyway and our audience the demo of people who come are people who say that word at home and selling out madison
Starting point is 01:13:32 square garden two nights in a row but they don't need no credibility but then you can't you can't be like oh look at we can get you on snl but then you can't say they didn't say that yeah but they are saying it now well maybe but cam got on there because he's funny truly good but you can't be but i don't think you can be i don't think you can be antagonistic towards black people and then a black person help help your thing i don't know i i haven't i don't know nothing about kill tony i don't know how i didn't even know nothing i was like who's killed i said is it a burger joint what is this i said tony hawk is dead i thought it was a cartoon right the rest wesley snipes having to shoot him during the race war that clip like i just i'm strict about that kind of stuff
Starting point is 01:14:17 because for me it is like the height of hypocrisy to like champion people who want to kind of be evil towards black people and towards women and towards trans people and then the person that's making your brand the most famous is a black person i think that's hypocritical i think it's short-sighted i think it's i think it's corny really give an activist is that what should we i'm not an activist at all wait wait a minute i can't say i can't claim an activist i'm not i don't do enough work to be an activist every now and then i go there you go look go find me okay there we go a little political action okay click the link i can't be activist because i'm a comedian wait a minute is that what we're saying here on mess i'm more of a comedian than i am an activist
Starting point is 01:15:01 so if i claim the activist title i gotta be doing more activist stuff than comedy stuff Do you disagree? Hakeem Jeffries No No But that's I'm being for real with that Cause
Starting point is 01:15:11 If someone said Oh Jay you're an activist I'd be like I'm a comedian Who has done activist stuff I'm a comedian Who has helped with Some mutual aid
Starting point is 01:15:18 If you call me activist You're gonna have to be like Well Jay you haven't Spoke up enough about No This is true Yeah once you put that Title on there
Starting point is 01:15:24 You better be boots On the ground baby All the time All the time Every story You should be clocking in You gotta be Jesse Jackson Yeah
Starting point is 01:15:30 No you gotta I mean you Jay Jesse Jordan Jackson Yeah no no and if you're an activist honestly i don't want you to be talking about balls on the next post but i i just i need something it needs to make sense justice for balls justice for balls no i don't it's not even like i'm i'm giving activists i'm just trying to really think about this from uh just from a strategy standpoint like if i if i think about everything i do and
Starting point is 01:15:55 everything i say it's either attention grabbing so that people go look at my stuff and go oh he's very funny or they go oh jay's really outspoken and they agree with the point even they go i don't like comedy but i do like what he's saying and if someone kind of like disagrees with me instantly then not also have their attention because they might comment that boosts algorithm i'm not saying controversial stuff so that people don't pay attention i'm saying this shit so that it but you think i didn't know people were gonna repost all the stuff when i posted that the crazy thread when i said oh this is how i feel about tony this is how i feel about tim dillon this is how i feel about Joe Rogan
Starting point is 01:16:27 this half about Theo Vaughn I want people to post that I want people to go ooh I agree I want people to go I disagree and I'll be like why tell me why
Starting point is 01:16:34 quote tweet let's go engagement yeah it's not like to me it's not Jay's got a strategy Jay has a strategy
Starting point is 01:16:39 and I didn't even know that and a publicist which is wow yeah my publicist they don't even they like it
Starting point is 01:16:45 you're really serious about this it's making them do less work I'm doing a daily show tomorrow they're going to give me I'm going to say something crazy there oh please do and make sure you shout out Mess shout out Mess
Starting point is 01:16:54 shout out Mess be like you know who you know who y'all should have on here hey i'll be like look at me i'll be like josh you know who you need to have next but i also value conversations with people who i like so like i get to hang out with y'all and we get to have these conversations whenever whenever i do stand up i do want stand to be the focus like the special to me is very good because i don't talk about nothing this isn't special exactly you know what i mean it's just jokes it's just i say one thing about podcasts but i kind of talk about how like the manosphere in general is fucking men up but like my goal is for people to get to my comedy if it takes being a little messy if it
Starting point is 01:17:30 takes talking a little shit if it takes me being in the speedo if it takes me kind of like being politically aware like all those things should lead back to you buying a ticket okay send us a speedo pic for the dump okay and then uh send us like a strategy thing like i need i want like Like I need, I want to follow. So I should talk shit. Talk a little shit. Put a little bikini pose. Then a clip.
Starting point is 01:17:54 Now see, you. Then a clip. Former bottle girl, you know. It's not like a question for ChatGPT. You know. I do not use that. You know. Why would I use that when I have the equation right here?
Starting point is 01:18:06 People don't, if you talk a little shit, talk a little shit, show a little dick. That's it. Talk a little shit. Talk a little shit, show a little dick. Show a little dick. Show a little. That sounds like a good. That might be too long for a time.
Starting point is 01:18:15 That's the name of your memoir. That's the name of my, yeah. Like Malcolm X I can't believe Y'all were like Malcolm X Wasn't fucking Sucking for money
Starting point is 01:18:22 Yes he was I didn't know I didn't know They didn't teach that I watched the movie So many times It's three hours You didn't get to do
Starting point is 01:18:31 You didn't get to do A poem on that I didn't get to do An oral report On his oral situation The IRIs Is really Malcolm X
Starting point is 01:18:40 Come on Yeah he The Maya Angelou Malcolm X Pipeline He was putting it down on Betty Shabazz, baby. Yo, she was in there.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Justice for Betty. Yeah. Yeah, hey, hey. Back that Shabazz up. I got to go back to Harlem. Back that Shabazz up is also a good title. Back that Shabazz up.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Back that Shabazz up. This is why I talk shit, because I'm fun. I'm fun and funny. Listen. Hey, hey, look at me. I know every comic, every comic who I've ever
Starting point is 01:19:09 talked shit about, I won't say anything bad about you for the rest of the day. For the rest of the day. Back that Shabazz up. For the rest of the day. We need. Marie, hold me to this.
Starting point is 01:19:19 For the rest of the day? Hold me to this. I'm not talking shit about anybody. Today? For the rest of the day. For the rest of the day. The sun's already set, baby. For the rest of the day.
Starting point is 01:19:28 The day is done. Oh, my God. I can't believe that I had an appeal on my Instagram, on my account. That should have been my mess. An appeal? Yes, because I did an ad for Lyft, and then I posted it, and they were supposed to monetize it. And they were like, oh, we can't monetize it because you had a violation. A violation?
Starting point is 01:19:47 A violation because I posted a picture of a Barbie doing cocaine from my show. And they were like, oh, you cannot do ads until February the 2nd of 2026. What? February? Because of Barbies? Is it okay? 2026 because you can't be soliciting drugs. What?
Starting point is 01:20:05 Doing drugs, bullying, violence, nudity. What? All those things. One time I posted my booty so that people would buy tickets to a show, and then someone reported the booty. But, like, booties are allowed. Just a little bit of booty, I think, is allowed. Like the butt cheeks, not the hole. A little bit of booty is necessary.
Starting point is 01:20:23 You can't be showing no hole on Instagram. You can't show a hole. No, no, that's not. No, that's OnlyFans. That's evil. Yeah. But they reported me, and then I appealed, and Instagram was like, you can do that. They were like, you can put your booty up.
Starting point is 01:20:35 So it went back up. But I had, like, people kind of try to get me in situations like that. Who would have reported you? Oh, honey, I don't know. But they, I was distraught because it's money, you know, I'm trying to get paid. And yeah, they got, they got, they just got back to me. And what'd they say? They said, hey, I have the best news.
Starting point is 01:20:55 Just got the message from the policy. It looks like we made a mistake and removed something you posted on Facebook, Instagram that didn't go against our community standards. We want to apologize and let you know that we've restored your content and removed any blocks on your account related to this incorrect action, I should sue. That's crazy. Yet, I don't
Starting point is 01:21:16 want people to get money either. That's another thing. They're like, so many people. Yeah, my stuff is not monetized on Instagram anymore. I don't know how long it's been. Wait, why, Marie? I don't know, friend. Wait, what? My Instagram is not monetized. And people think, oh, all these videos make money. That's what people think about
Starting point is 01:21:32 social media. My videos used to be monetized. Now they are no longer monetized. I gotta to update my tax stuff so mine aren't coming through this year i gotta get my i'm gonna send you michael's michael's number yes and then you hit him up he'll help you for sure who mess wow we did it we really i'm also glad that we have this conversation because so many people think you can't have this conversation like i think a legit conversation about like the pros and cons of like talking a little shit and because we work both in an industry that's like artists but also like make your money like having these conversations and they continue but we can't even have these
Starting point is 01:22:09 conversations because the minute you say oh i don't really i don't know how i feel about them people go oh you should be best friends or they go oh you should hate them i don't think anyone has to hate the people i hate but you just take you know every now and then listen to what i'm saying about these people because they do be scamming folks i don't like i don't like people scamming people when they come to see them if i say oh you just tricked those people to give you money okay listen let me tell you some people want to be scammed okay people don't care you see how they live their lives and their homes and whatnot they're okay listen they stay giving out their emails the last four digits of their social security those people want to get their money
Starting point is 01:22:48 took and they got extra that's four of the social i can't i can't get mad at them that's me i got scammed one time the way they got me they got me at wells fargo they got me a while ago they called me up they said there's some charges in your account i said where they said houston i said i'm not in houston how can i fix this they said okay all you gotta do is give me i said okay i'm gonna give it to you oh they ran they and then the craziest part about me getting scammed is i called that number back i said hey y'all scammed me y'all ain't wells fargo wait a number called you and said something about houston and then you had to verify your information and you gave them your actual information no i said i'm gonna call wells fargo and wells fargo said we didn't make
Starting point is 01:23:28 that call and then i called the number back and said y'all scammed y'all trying to get me yeah y'all trying to get me yes because they thought i was calling back to give them the information what did they say they said i'll never get i was walking the little fields i said oh my god here's okay let me let me call my bank hey shooters gotta shoot you they almost got you gotta you gotta take the chances when i got i got robbed it's not sad it's not sad i did get robbed a day only got like 40 they got like a hundred dollars out of me because i shut the cars down but even then they robbed me i was like y'all know we can shut cars down where did you get robbed i got robbed in harlem oh recently yeah
Starting point is 01:24:05 yeah recently did they hit you too yeah they hit me in the back of the head oh my god that's a hate crime they took my coach bag so they are like how do you know you were gay they took that was they took the coach empire bag which was funny because then when they run away i was like like some fucking faggots with a purse uh did they they just they just see some smolet you yeah yeah Well, it wasn't too sexy in Nigeria, so I'm kind of sad. What did they hit you with? Jussie Smollett got gang... No, he got hit by...
Starting point is 01:24:31 You said he got gang banged? No, it was a gang jump. They jumped him. Wait, Jay, what did they hit you with? They hand, and they said they had a gun. Jay, I know the Coach Empire bag. Yeah. I got it in brown suede.
Starting point is 01:24:43 See, I had the 40 joint. You had that bag? I had the big joint. They knew you were gay, for sure. If you look at the podcast with Devin, if you look at my favorite lyrics, like it's that the light one the the leather one they got that one they ran away with it too you had your laptop in it no it had my cards my keys and my phone and then also had to get new glasses i had a concussion i did a podcast the next day i was very funny because i didn't know i was concussed
Starting point is 01:25:08 uh yeah wait you're not supposed to sleep when you have a concussion you can't sleep when you have a concussion so i was like in and out all day like loop but you were still funny and did they start to go fund me i didn't see that for you no i'm fine i don't i mean it's not like a situation i just now can talk about it because when i was telling people they were oh my gosh i was like yeah it was very i got i was walking by a school because it was lit in front of the kids but because no it was not in the clock man you got knocked the fuck out is that what happened i can't believe you waited until the end of the episode to tell us it was that's yeah jumping people is a mess don't run people sorry jay i got scammed like the old school way like they robbed
Starting point is 01:25:43 me but they said they had a gun so that's also why i didn't fight but you didn't see it no but like they like if you see like they fucked me up a little bit there like that's like still healing from it wait what did they hit you with they hit me in the back of the head so i was walking i was walking towards the subway headed west and they hit me in the back of the head well it felt like with a fist because i didn't go i didn't black out like i just kind of fell down and so then i was like oh and it was two dudes and they're like don't move we got a gun i said oh my god and so then i still had my phone so they got my bag all right and so they had they were like we need the phone i said man no you got my bag they said we need the phone i said i need the phone and so
Starting point is 01:26:18 So, once again, I shouldn't have been trying to be funny. And I was like, man, just give me my phone. And they're like, no. And so they were like wrestling for the phone. And so they got the phone. Here's the crazy part. I literally had all this on. I'm like, why are you fighting?
Starting point is 01:26:31 I'm not going to say how much these rings are, but like, these are like coffee diamonds. Really? I thought you got this stuff from a jury. No, this is nice. This is David Uriman. And this is like our custom jeweler. But like, they didn't get any of this. Our custom jeweler?
