Starting point is 00:00:49 home my brain at home is the old world we're post phone we are not for long that's it's it we're done right you see this guest already talking guest is already in but you've clicked the link so you know who the guest you know who it is and it is lisa trager she has a special on netflix coming out january 28th it's already out it's already out it's already out it's already out it's out the date is out it's out it's out and it's called night out and you have to listen you gotta watch live love laugh it would have been so good like mtv vj sydney who that's what you were giving right now was like incredible no it's i you know what i did i had a coffee on an empty stomach and so it revs me up but then it also revs up my ass and i came in running revs
Starting point is 00:01:35 off your ass yes i had to spew out just nonsense you have i have to stop what what is this called scat you a stat queen every conversation you talking about farts and pooping we've been They've been listening for like six minutes. She's trying to be relatable. No, I'm not trying to be relatable. It's not relatable to be like, listen, I shit my pants. That's so relatable. She's trying to be relatable to babies.
Starting point is 00:02:04 People are having diarrhea in the streets. I don't want to start. Shout out to my IBS baddies that are listening to mess. Girl, they out here. Because sometimes I don't even know what the food is that is upsetting me. Because I'm like, it's ever-changing, but it's always an issue, no matter what. Lisa's one of the girls. I have a problem.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Just because you've got a tight hole doesn't mean you know I have a tight hole. Don't talk about the size of my hole. Is it big? No, it's a normal hole, I think. She made it seem like it was loosey-goosey. Oh, okay. Well, mine's loose, and I'm proud. You can hear a draft coming out of my mouth.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Sheesh. I already started with my mess what is your mess well my mess is I was talking about IBS again but I'm going to switch that my mess this week is that I don't have any curtains
Starting point is 00:02:59 and I keep watching my neighbors from across the way yeah but you know my opinion on this I was encouraging I came over and I turned the couch I told her to get a telescope and she goes I gotta talk to somebody else He didn't want to talk to me anymore. He's wrong, and I will go to jail.
Starting point is 00:03:15 And so do you have money for my comments there? No, you're just, when you're not using it, it has to be put on a constellation. Wait, what? It needs to be, like, put in a different place, or, like, an art piece, you know, like, you got to move it around. No.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Or a little binocular. Fuck the telescope. That's bad advice. A little binocular. A telescope is for stars. Yeah. Binoculars is for neighbors. Neighbors.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Yeah. And birds. Get on the ground. I have watched my neighbors now for two weeks. but you don't like them they're boring they're not fucking are boring i've found out how much people are paying across the way it's way more than me i mean they're in the hundreds of thousands of dollars paying for you know condominiums and whatnot and it's like why do you have overhead lighting that is nasty nasty work you can afford light it is you can afford better lighting that's
Starting point is 00:04:02 lighting that they have in ikea just get a lamp get a lamp get a sexy sex light you're very lamp forward and i don't think i learned how disgusted people were with overhead lighting till very recently in my life have you not taken a picture underneath under headlighting no no even in my brain i'm like oh my parents we had lamps we didn't do overhead lighting but for some reason i just don't think about things and i'll have over i just i'll watch it with you'll have to come over and be like turn the light off to watch this movie yeah well that's something i feel like you should know even when you go to the movie theater it's better to watch it in the dark No, I'll be sitting there being like, oh, I should do that.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Yeah. But I need to see the flip. Like, it's not a natural instinct for everybody. So I sympathize with these people. I don't like overhead light. And every time I go to my mom's house, they don't have no lamps. Yeah. And I'm like, why?
Starting point is 00:04:49 And my dad hates the living room light. So it's always either dark in the living room and bright in the kitchen. Are they anti-lamp? I don't know. I don't know. They just don't have them. Haitians don't believe in lamps. What if you buy them a lamp?
Starting point is 00:05:03 for like you know mother's day or father's day father's day i should get them yeah you know you always have the living room pitch black yeah that's a duo mother's day father's day double lamp i like that because they're gonna love the first lamp and they're gonna go oh my god thank you for this lamp i don't know if they'll use the word love but okay yeah they don't again they are haitian they don't they don't say that my parents don't either um say i love you no really there's a bit in the special about that but my dad went into heart surgery i said i love you he didn't say it back he couldn't he smiled he's i could tell he liked that i said it but he couldn't say it back so pretend i'm your dad or pretend you're your dad and i'm you it took me a
Starting point is 00:05:43 lot of courage too because we don't say it right i didn't grow up in like a hugging house your heart is beating my yeah i'm you i'm you and your dad is laying down i no not like because it was covid so my sister was the one she's like in charge no no no i'm escorting him out of the house right so I'm like, I'm grabbing his shoulder in the alley where we're parked, where my sister's... The alley? We have alley parking.
Starting point is 00:06:05 We're in a townhome. Okay. I'm sorry, guys. Townhome? Okay, our richest guest is here, y'all. No, but not in the rich New York way, in a suburb way. Townhome sounds better than townhouse.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Well, that's why I said it, because townhouse is embarrassing. Okay, tell us. What happened? So I grab him, I hug him, and I go, I love you. He's smiling. I can hear my sister go, aww.
Starting point is 00:06:27 and then my dad didn't say it back and he went in the car but I thought I would have to say it just in case you know. Okay so can you explain this because I really I grew up that way too but I'm not that kind of person I'm such a loving like I have to say I love you. It took me a lot of drug trips to get there. You said what? It took me a lot
Starting point is 00:06:43 of drug I didn't even like I didn't want to hug yeah it took me a long time. You don't like touching you're not. You really push the limits. I do. You're one of the people that push. I've gotten better I've gotten better. I had like a the limits. Do I push the limits? You do. You push the limits. You do.
Starting point is 00:06:58 What am I, Louis C.K. now? What's going on? Yeah, with hugs. No, you're a pet. You know, I had a friend in like high school and early 20s. She's like, she liked to be pet and I would be like, I don't want to pet you. And she's like, you're weird. You need to get with the petting. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:07:14 She liked to be pet and then she called you weird? Like, she liked to be like, like, she just wanted to be pet and yeah. I also didn't like touching pregnant bellies and someone made me feel bad And they're like, you need to touch my belly. And I'm like, it makes me uncomfortable. Well, you can't touch a pregnant belly unless they tell you.
Starting point is 00:07:31 If they say it's okay. This person grabbed my hand and put it on their belly. I didn't want it. And did the baby kick you? It didn't matter. It makes me physically uncomfortable. That's how I feel about babies and tiny dogs. Oh, I want to hold a baby and a tiny dog.
Starting point is 00:07:45 A baby, I'm afraid I'm going to drop it. A little like teacup dog, I'm afraid I'm going to break it. Which is, these are all valid reasons to not want to really hold them or touch them. Because it's like, I saw a dog yesterday. What about a four-month-old? Their necks are okay. A baby that's a little more dense. Yeah, a dense baby.
Starting point is 00:08:00 You know, like a rosebud baby. Yeah, that's a good baby. That baby feels indestructible to me. Yeah. Like, I'm like, this is like a bag of flour. You know what I mean? Or like a bag of rice. That's what you're calling Minnow.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Yes. A bag of flour. A bag of rice. Rosebud, shout out to Minnow being heavy. Well, I mean, that's what. Dirty. No, truly, she should go on like American Ninja Warrior. The baby?
Starting point is 00:08:19 No, Rosebud for carrying the baby. Like, I think she would excel on Survivor. something and really because i i've only held the baby once and i don't think i've even made it five i i handed it over baby i'm trying to figure out if this because now i realize both of you guys are very similar in the like touching and being affection and stuff like that i love you to friends i had to be taught that you had to be taught that oh yeah i didn't do it marie yeah i can count on my hands how many times this bitch has said i love you and i was like if i pass marie Do you feel comfortable with that?
Starting point is 00:08:53 I'll be like, love ya. It's always through text. L-U-V-E-R. It'll be a group text. It'll be like this. And I hate that. I cannot. Every time I see it, I'm like, I will strangle you.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Tiny Korean heart. I like that. I got to learn how to do it. I don't promote it. Please don't. Just say I love you. Just hug. Just be like.
Starting point is 00:09:16 I do. I do. I think I do. Yeah. I hugged you on the way. I'm going to say it to my mom on the phone next time I speak to her. And see what happens. And she's going to be like, bye.
Starting point is 00:09:26 My mom will text it, but never out loud. Is it L-O-V-E or L-U-V? Yeah, she started doing it. I wonder if she like found something on the internet about me talking shit about her or something. My mom doesn't know how to use the internet. I found out my mom was Googling my Twitter and going on it. No, your mother? That's what my sister let it slip.
Starting point is 00:09:44 That's invasive. That's mess. That's mess. That's mess. And actually, where do you think I get it from? Well, I mean, we talked about Sidney's butt. That was your mess. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:55 And I would really like to talk to Lisa about what her mess is for today. What was my mess? Hold on, before we... Yeah, we need to get into your mess. Before we do it, let's see. I also, we obviously have the final topic, but then I was thinking like, you know what else is messy in my life? What? The apartment.
Starting point is 00:10:10 That's physical mess. Yeah, that's physical mess. Yeah, it doesn't matter. It doesn't count. No, it doesn't. I mean, I went over there and I... I cleaned it since you've came. I would be, I think you'd be impressed.
Starting point is 00:10:20 But I wasn't, when I went over there, I wasn't mad at it. I was like, you are very active. You're in and out. You have a lot to do. That's saying a lot about what the place looks like. You set the scene. You're very active. That means it looks like a Tasmanian devil ran through here.
Starting point is 00:10:35 You're in and out. That means the coats just fall where they fall. You have a lot going on. It means you take your panties off. You leave them on the floor. I did see panties on the floor. I did see panties on the floor. Thank you for painting that picture for us.
Starting point is 00:10:48 I saw them and I said, we're close. We're friends. Family. I got it. Like a good neighbor. We're dating. Sydney is there. So that's your physical mess.
Starting point is 00:10:58 But what else? What else do you have? What's the question that you're using? I have a prop mess, actually. You're going to be mad. You are a prop person now. Because you're a show. You're a show.
Starting point is 00:11:07 But I know this is going to bother you. So that's why I think I'll show you. Should I brace myself for it? It's going to bother me? You don't care. Oh, okay. Sydney has said she's going to pray for me, but I have another,
Starting point is 00:11:18 I have another letter. From what? A letter from who? I can't believe you brought this. I didn't. I wrote, I was inspired. So I wrote it today,
Starting point is 00:11:25 but I'm going to drop it off. But I only trust dropping off mail near a post office. I'm clocking out. Who did you write a letter to in 2025? To Luigi in prison. Oh, did you, is the letter sealed?
Starting point is 00:11:37 Can we read it? No, of course it's sealed. It's taped. It's sealed. Let's steam it open. Okay. You know what?
Starting point is 00:11:41 I'm so, but it's my second letter, But she was a second letter. Girl, you can barely respond to people's text messages. But here you are handwriting something to a man. We don't even know if he's going to read it. Wait, hold on. You hand wrote a note to Luigi?
Starting point is 00:11:55 Yes, she did. How do you write a letter? You type it and print it out and sign it. You have a printer? Yes, I do. And it used to be cities. It was a passed down heirloom. The time we're passed down, they stress me out.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I give one to Jared Goldstein as one of my printers. I think someone has another one. That's kind of beautiful. Somebody with a townhome would have two printers. Why are you writing this, man? You know, Lisa I'll be honest I think it's important, I think we have to pay attention
Starting point is 00:12:23 We can't let this case slide It's not gonna slide, babe With the terrorism charges He is the new, this is the case that we should be the most locked in No, no, no Also, the incarcerated firefighters So I was filling him in on the fires You don't think they have TVs in prison?
Starting point is 00:12:41 He knows LA's on fire Lisa, tell us what you're writing but also when i was at the met yesterday there was a um a criminal corrections way i didn't go for that but i was not like you want that no i went for something i have a friend with a piece at the mat um you're just flexing left you got a special town house honestly i've never felt cooler than going to the met and being like i know this person and then two women were walking towards his piece and one of them said i want that and then i saw them like read read the description and you're like that's my friend you're like maybe i'll text him how much you
Starting point is 00:13:17 so wait why are you writing luigi tell me um i don't know it seems like definitely sick like maybe i should like up back up in therapy but i do feel passionate about your chest i want to hear i do feel passionate about this case i no no no before that when you say you need to go to therapy yeah i should say it louder yeah yeah from your diaphragm my other therapist did send me a name like eight months ago but I just I can't do it your other therapist
Starting point is 00:13:43 said this too much for me no we we parted ways I watched my ass no you know when you're on a call no we parted ways and then I had a couple
Starting point is 00:13:50 I needed her and then you know when you're on the call with someone and you're like can I speak to your supervisor because you clearly can't help me
Starting point is 00:13:56 yes that's what your therapist did for you yes okay so alright well I'm sure you have a draft
Starting point is 00:14:03 of the letter somewhere I would love to hear what it says no draft that goes straight on the card so wait it's a card
Starting point is 00:14:08 so wait do you scratch stuff out and use white out or you're just you're, this is a rough draft and you're making no edits. The first one I like thought about it and took a few notes but then with this one, yeah just free form.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Free form. I wish I was passionate about something like this. I'm passionate about a lot of stuff. That feels like jail homework. I gotta go to the store I gotta pick up a card and then I gotta write it small enough that everything that I want to put in there fits in the card. Then I gotta get a stamp.
Starting point is 00:14:36 yeah and i already have an idea for the next one but lisa again why are you writing i don't know i feel passionate about it mess but honestly people have sent him so many books they're sending it back to publisher well i don't know i have to like confirm the info okay lisa you're here to answer the question please give it for me are secrets mess i think it's secrets gossip talk shit i don't know if they're all three separate categories are all one which one is it i think i think gossip gossip is gossip messy it can be it's fun you have to wield it responsibly wield it responsibly with gossip can you explain to us i think when someone does say you need to lock this down you lock it down to earn trust like when things are very serious you need to prove your
Starting point is 00:15:23 trustworthiness and keep your mouth shut to earn more gossip what is serious i'm putting that in quotation i don't know what are the things that you've told me that i can't tell anyone that I've told no one about. Girl, but now we on a pie. We rolling. That's what I mean. But I didn't tell anyone until it started spreading
Starting point is 00:15:38 and then I was like... Until it started spreading? Then I... Once I heard it, I got to be like, oh, but I didn't have to reveal a source. I didn't need to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:15:46 You know, people already knew. Well, Liza, let's talk. What gossip have you heard about Sydney that everybody already knew? I don't... I don't think I would allow
Starting point is 00:15:54 gossip to happen. Okay. In that way. You said people already knew, so was it like her moving back to New York? Oh, not about her. We're talking shit.
Starting point is 00:16:00 somebody else somebody was oh nothing like that it was somebody dating someone big and then that other person I don't even remember what it was I honestly write down all of the gossip that I say to you
Starting point is 00:16:17 to make sure if I hear it again I'll be like I told Lisa I feel like I've come on here and I'm here to expose yes girl you taught me about invisible ink that's you guys you weren't doing that before
Starting point is 00:16:31 no I don't even I still don't know how to do it you gotta hold the button but don't release it and then you gotta kind of shake your thumb a little bit
Starting point is 00:16:37 invisible ink I love when I get an invisible I love it invisible ink is mess because the person who is over your shoulder
Starting point is 00:16:45 looking already knows that something that was written is mess and that's why they have to have it invisibly
Starting point is 00:16:51 well it's mess to be over my shoulder looking at me when I'm looking at my text why are you lurking and leering why not
Starting point is 00:16:57 why you don't have a protector I would go to a court I'd go well no because I sent Sydney something in invisible ink once and she fully read it with the person that I was talking to her about and they were looking at her phone
Starting point is 00:17:14 so you don't have invisible ink decor I don't have invisible ink decor arrest me she was like I think they saw it and I was like why would you let them They definitely saw it.
Starting point is 00:17:29 They definitely saw it. Oh, my God. That reminds me of one of my big flaws is I will say something I thought someone already knew, and then it ruins the night because they didn't know we were keeping it from them. Didn't you do that when a surprise party was? I've never. Oh, maybe I did. Yeah, you did.
Starting point is 00:17:45 It was Sydney's surprise dinner. You did. Yeah, but no one used the word surprise, and I sent screenshots. I had screenshots, and I sent them to the people that were accusing me. But why would you talk to the person Whose birthday party it is Or dinner it is Should I have ignored her
Starting point is 00:17:59 I'm saying She was not the one who invited you So you can't talk to the Like you and Sydney talk almost every day No for sure it was also my karma because Rob Hayes Ruined Sydney's surprise birthday party That I was planning in LA And I went at him
Starting point is 00:18:16 And so this was my lesson of being like You can be the flubber up too Flubber up Mm hmm. I think that gossip, it happens. And we should all know that when you tell somebody else it's in the universe, the universe already knows that you're running your mouth. So the chances of it not being told can only happen if you don't run your mouth. But for me. But do you feel like you guys have this relationship or not, where if there is a person where someone tells me and I go, well, I'm going to tell her and then they have to specify I'm not going to tell my best friend.
Starting point is 00:18:49 People tell me, you cannot tell Marie because they know I'm going straight to her. Literally, while they're telling me, I'm texting Marie like, girl. I'm calling her. She's recording a voice note. I'm sitting there, I'm like, girl, do you hear this right now?
Starting point is 00:19:03 But if they say, no, Marie, then I don't tell Marie. Or I'll be like, Marie, if I tell you this, girl, you have to tell me. So how 4% do you do that? I feel like a good chunk. I feel like a good chunk. Only a few people will be like,
Starting point is 00:19:19 don't tell marie but for the most part people already know i'm about to tell her but you can trust marie because she's forgetful they're telling you because they want people to know they like it she will not remember i'm not gonna remember she's not gonna sometimes sydney tells me tea she don't know i'll forget it and then i'll go back to her and i'll be like let me tell you what i heard and i'm like and sydney be like i told you that and i'd be like oh so you already have the tea yeah and it's like yeah beach no i'm the one that goes i someone's my favorites when someone tells me something be like yeah i started that actually you created yeah i did that i figured that out but i also i also don't wouldn't i don't want to fuck with someone
Starting point is 00:19:55 i have done it though i've made huge mistakes with my getting into business we need all of it i this i'm embarrassed by this i have apologized to this person multiple times okay but i did get someone fired and it was none of my business and i don't and i don't like fucking with people's money and that was like a bad thing are you being a karen right now you got someone it wasn't a karen it was defending other people that i but i should have gone to the person directly and i should not have um i was i was messy and it had like real what did you say sacrifice i can't it'll it's just let me i'm trying to figure out how to say it without but i don't but in terms of gossip i i fucked up that time but i try not to fuck with people's money or like someone got home
Starting point is 00:20:38 When they got fired. If someone's cheating, you know, I don't know. Except a friend. No, I would tell a friend if I found out. Well, if someone's cheating on your friend, you should tell your friend. But if your friend is cheating on someone, that's nobody's business. No, no, no, no, no. Of course not.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Really? If my friend is cheating on somebody and I'm friends with them. What if it's double friends? That's a good one. It depends. Because that's my thing. I think a lot of my guy friends know I'm not that cool.
Starting point is 00:21:03 And that's good. I'm going to tell them now. Yeah, they should know. Yeah. but women you're like girl no i saw i found a friend's person on a bumble and people were like did you tell her and i go within 10 seconds the screenshots were sent like i don't i didn't even think twice yeah right yeah my whole thing is is like getting into people's relationship stuff it happens all the time i'll do my due diligence be a good friend and that bitch will turn right
Starting point is 00:21:33 back and be with him and now i gotta stare at him at this fucking event and be like yeah and and he looking at me like fucking bitch and he's like so now we don't like each other it's obvious we can't be in the same room this is your fault sis this is your fault i told you your man ain't shit you told him that i said he ain't shit and i saw him do something and now y'all still together the reason you don't think he's uh um anything ain't shit the reason he ain't shit i know but It doesn't sound correct coming out of my mouth. Yeah, we need you to repeat. No, let's get it clean for the camera.
Starting point is 00:22:06 The reason he ain't shit. That's the title of the episode. That's the title of the episode. Because she's talking shit about him to you. It's like on her to keep her mouth shut. But that's the thing about relationships. But no one's confused when I don't like them. But that's the thing about relationships is if you tell people everything that your person does wrong,
Starting point is 00:22:25 we're going to judge them based on what we know. then when you forgive them everyone is still like but he ain't shit that's why you need to go to therapy you can't tell people that you want this person to get along with later right what do you mean like you can if you are married to someone or with someone a long time and you want to be with them i don't think you should be telling like you can vent to a friend once in a while or something or a fight but like right but not everything you can't really you got to be specific about what the fight is because if it's a fight that it's like an integrity thing or you think that person is putting
Starting point is 00:22:56 your friend down I don't don't tell me and I'll be like this is this is not a good person because that's a character flaw yeah we're gonna hate that person
Starting point is 00:23:03 yeah like it's 100% yeah that person is dead to me yeah Maria is good for that person is dead to me if you
Starting point is 00:23:10 if you say that this person has done you wrong Maria will be solid I hate them until I die yeah until they die yeah
Starting point is 00:23:17 because I'm probably gonna live for a long time yes also I think that's I think that's weird which somebody has told you about this too is like what if you gossip about somebody and then i see you hanging
Starting point is 00:23:29 out with the person i'm bad about that you do that oh yeah yeah but i also tell you more than i tell joe blow right like i've definitely been joe blow like just any random like you might be hearing more about a person that is bothering me that's in my life that i'm gonna hang out with but i probably wouldn't talk about i would though you would i over i some i hate the worst is when you reveal too much and you immediately know you did the wrong thing or like that's the worst so you're like fuck I know this I know
Starting point is 00:24:02 this person is going to react badly this is going to happen like what the fuck you dumb bitch what do you mean like the like the moment the words leave your mouth like you know you shouldn't have told that person has that happened to you Marie sure of course like absolutely I can't think of a specific
Starting point is 00:24:18 example right now but sometimes you'll be out you'll be like at a party or you'll be at a bar or you'll be at a show and someone asks you a question about somebody else's life or, I don't know, whatever. And I'll be like, well, you know, my sister, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then after a while, I'll be like, oh, well, maybe I shouldn't have been saying all my sister's business.
Starting point is 00:24:39 You know what I mean? But you are good for not telling my business because I will be going through something and somebody won't know because you're like, yeah, she's great. She's killing it. Yeah, L.A. is great for her. I think everyone knew. Everyone had a hint.
Starting point is 00:24:53 I didn't say anything, they already knew You were on Instagram You were on Insta stories With a bob and your hoodie over the bob With your face in a dog's stomach Talking about how much you hated LA For like a year People knew, the people knew
Starting point is 00:25:23 why do you like hearing secrets though i love secrets well and it's like bonding it's fun and i again sorry to mention this special i do a bit about talking shit it is a passion of mine but it's like what do you mean say it to my face like let me talk shit about you in the car i i love we're really hard to be around as people like we're difficult we're annoying we do annoying things we're rude to our front like shit happens you don't want it always to be a fight and a big thing and so it's like yeah talk about like i don't know venting i think is maybe venting to in in a inner group is different than shit talking well i'm sure i was talking to somebody who like was talking about a like person that they work with or whatever
Starting point is 00:26:12 i was like well do they know this is like do they have you spoken to them and they're like oh you know i don't know what but i was like do you want a solution do you want to keep being mad at them and have these issues or do you just want to talk shit because if you just want to talk shit that's fine but don't talk to me as if you need help because i'll just give you an ear if you need an ear but you're also good at formulating an email or a phrase or like how to communicate and that's nice yeah i i am chat gpt for some of my friends direct some people struggle with direct communication in an awkward situation, you know? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:48 I think gossip is fun. I mean, it's not... The worst is one time, sorry to interrupt, but one time... God! Let me just say, you haven't let me fit. Oh, really? Y'all are having a conversation. And you know my memory is bad. Every time I start to say something, y'all
Starting point is 00:27:04 will cut me off. You know what? I'm glad she's included, too. I'm sorry, go off. Because I'm like, I'm sitting here looking at Sydney, and I'm like, they're really having a conversation. Like, I'm not I'm going home I gotta go change my cup oh my god
Starting point is 00:27:20 I don't even remember what I was gonna say I thought it was just my bad flaw I'm not doing this with y'all anymore I'm sitting here silently I feel devastated by this it's really Liza cutting you off I know it's bad
Starting point is 00:27:36 well she's including you yeah Liza I don't remember what I was going to say but we were talking about like why do you like secrets why do you like gossip gossip is fun yeah
Starting point is 00:27:49 I feel like the word gossip gets a bad rap it's not always bad we're not always talking shit sometimes we're just like sharing your business and we'll be like I did that once in third grade
Starting point is 00:27:59 like I think it's fun anyway now that I said it I feel like I didn't need to say it no the heart is great the intention the intention that was the clip friend
Starting point is 00:28:08 we played it out Gossip gets the bad rap Yeah, that is the title It's sexism It is It's sexism Because men don't want to talk to each other So what we do is trivial and annoying and bad
Starting point is 00:28:19 And we're causing drama And it's like you know nothing about your friends And you're all taking your own lives I feel like men gossip about like Athletes that they like And like Drake Nope I think the classic kind of like
Starting point is 00:28:31 Hack joke is like A husband will be like Oh yeah, they broke up What happened? Oh, I didn't ask They don't ask enough questions And it's like what the fuck You don't know when
Starting point is 00:28:39 And how, what? Like, what are you talking about? Yeah, who did it? Your friend's getting divorced and you know nothing? Yeah. What happened? I don't know. She kind of mean.
Starting point is 00:28:47 And then they die alone. That is my problem, though. I do hear the information. And then I go to Marie and Marie will be like, so why? And I'll be like, oh, you know, they was saying stuff, but I was like, listen, I was in and out. I couldn't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:59 You are good for giving me a piece of the tea. Yeah. A piece of the tea. A piece of the tea. A piece of the tea. I like that title as well. No, I have one friend. she knows i'll fly off the handle so she does that what do you mean she'll allude to stuff and
Starting point is 00:29:11 be like that's all you actually need to know no but then you'll you will ask constantly you want to know well maybe with but not with this leather they they have different boundaries because they know you and they know that they're not trying to set you off yeah but you are very passionate lisa about a lot of stuff i know i gotta get a life i gotta get you do you have a life and it it includes talking shit yeah it includes secrets I know
Starting point is 00:29:37 I do get annoyed at the people who be like oh yeah no I don't want to get involved shut up I want to be involved yeah they're like
Starting point is 00:29:45 goody two-shoes anything no no I don't want to talk about no I don't gossip I don't want to it's like okay so you're
Starting point is 00:29:50 people who are like I don't gossip they talk about themselves a lot and that is weird that is weird it's the people that go I don't have a TV
Starting point is 00:29:59 but watch it on their laptop yes you're being annoying still Oh, I am that person. It's like you don't want to get involved, but I know you got I know you're tied up in something, though. I will just listen to something. But I on the street, on the street, at dinner or like if we're out to dinner and then I hear something's riling up over here, I'll be like, oh, I need I need. Yeah, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Marie, you're good for that. Oh, I'll be at dinner and my eyes will glaze over and people be like, right, Marie? And I'll be like, I'm not listening to nothing y'all saying. They arguing over here. A part of me does. It comes from genuine interest of like people, behavior. I don't know. Like a part of me, I think it's interested in humanity.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I don't think it's bad all the time. Is it messy to care about? And it's not even necessarily care. Is it messy just to want to know? Because we don't necessarily care about what we're hearing. we just want to know the information no i care i whenever somebody passes away and they post about it you're gonna have to tell me what happened i need to know something like i need like you need to put like a mental health awareness so i know oh it might be suicide or it's like you know in
Starting point is 00:31:15 the hashtag you're like drive-bys suck like like now i know that person was in a drive-by yes like i need to but i always go in the the comments and i somebody would be like what happened question mark and people that's insensitive and then somebody would like he got shot outside and i'm like thank you thank you right thank you i i i want to know i need to know because then it's like how much am i going to be invested in this you know if it was like a freak accident i'm out i clicked out but if it's like someone did commit suicide then i'm going to their page that's how weird i am but that just helped me well someone famous recently passed and no one's saying the reason and the family doesn't want
Starting point is 00:31:54 to. That sounds like we know what that means, right? Sure, but I get, you know, well, this is when you were like, gossip is good, when, you know, I interrupted. I was going to say one time someone was like, ooh, I have gossip, and then it was that
Starting point is 00:32:11 a friend we knew relapsed and was on heroin again, and I go, that's not what I want to hear at all. That's bad. That's worse than a mess. It's tragic. And it's like, is there action or not? Like, and for you to think that that's info I want, I don't like what you think of me because that or the way you spun it.
Starting point is 00:32:32 But I'm like, that's not the gossip I want. I can't stand when somebody is like talking about somebody close. I'm like, why did you think that I was going to be okay with that? Like, I'm yes. Oh, I feel. Oh, that's yes. Wait, that's your favorite. When they talk about someone you're cool with.
Starting point is 00:32:47 This happened to me once with someone where they started talking shit about someone I was friends with. And I was like, are you out of your fucking mind? Did you stop them? Oh, I went all in and then I've yelled at them again. I mean, it's been normal because I've calmed down, but I've screamed at them in an elevator before. Yeah, like it went crazy where I was like, are you? I went nuts because I was like, why?
Starting point is 00:33:08 It means you don't have friends. No, it means that you don't have no decorum because why are you talking to me about my friend? You know, I'm cool with this person. But if somebody is talking about a friend, do you are like, oh, I kind of do want to know what you're about to say so I could tell my friend. But then it's like then your friend is like, so you heard all that. And then what? Yeah. What did you say?
Starting point is 00:33:28 No, I'm like pretty reactive. I would say I get mad at a situation. I don't want to know nothing. Don't tell me anything. I'm going to curse you. Unless I think my friend also is a fucking idiot in this moment. Because I did defend someone once and then I went back and listened to the thing in question and it was. It was bad.
Starting point is 00:33:44 i was like yeah i i get why they didn't like you um i i'm torn between two two i'm between two ferns on this because part of me does want to be able to be like what the fuck is wrong with you and why like are you out of your mind like you did on the elevator explosively but then the other part of me is like well i kind of want to hear what you're going to say so that i can tell my friend what you just said if you but you want to hear everything right but then you got a cursed him out after i feel like my face changes so much the back pedal i like a back pedal oh when someone thinks they're and you're like i actually don't like what you're saying to me right now well this happened to me and marie years ago where uh something happened between
Starting point is 00:34:28 me it was cereal gate with me and our friend carolina cereal gate cereal gate was it was explosive it was really really bad and carolina had went back to marie and said something to her about it and marie is in in the middle right but marie is my my best friend i don't have to be marie's but she is mine so it's like why would you go to my best friend about this that you got to go to your best friend about that so then marie kind of got worked up listening to also her close friend or whatever best friend whatever you whatever you want whatever the title is whoa and then marie was coming for my neck it felt like it because she was just like well if you did that that's fucking that's not you're not being a good friend i said uh-uh so then i got
Starting point is 00:35:13 mad at you got madder madder at carolyn why would you go to my best friend but carolyn's like wait hold on now we're all friends and it's like uh-uh you got to be real specific and real particular about the words because we're all close. But it's also the opposite of what we said earlier. Venting in a group is different than
Starting point is 00:35:32 gossiping outdoors. But she should have told her and her best friend. Carolina, famously, a Virgo as well. You know, I think Carolina knows what my energy is.
Starting point is 00:35:41 You know, I was a mediator in second grade, so she knew that. You're a mediator, Marie? I was a mediator in second grade. Marie. I mean, Sydney, you know this about me.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Friend or not my friend, I am listening to the facts. Yeah. Okay? I'm the Judge Judy here and I'm listening and I'm like well that sounds wrong
Starting point is 00:35:58 and that sounds right because Sydney was like you always take Carolina's side and Carolina was like you always take Sydney's side and I'm like no no no
Starting point is 00:36:04 I'm with the truth babe I'm with the truth is also a good title I'm with the truth I'm with the truth I'm on the right side of the right side but let's pivot real quick
Starting point is 00:36:14 we're all you know in a couple years it's 2025 let's say 2026 2027 our careers have exploded
Starting point is 00:36:22 we're famous we're doing well we're thriving are we making people sign ndas yeah but my career will be ruined with everything i've already said in my life i think this is particle i just say crazy shit on podcasts for years and i was young like we started young so it's like before podcasts were even a thing twitter was nothing like yeah we were in the beginning so it's like and um yeah i'm sure i said crazy stuff oh girl the first podcast i ever did i was yacking and somebody that was cool with my ex heard the episode yeah
Starting point is 00:36:58 i do because i was like what is a podcast like nobody listens to this somebody heard it and then told him and i think he listened to it and he hit me up about it yeah and he was like that's crazy that you would just say all that and i was like that's crazy that you listen to yeah why would you listen that's another thing it's like if you are a very close friend why the f are you listening to my podcast you talk to me on a regular basis that's strange no no what if you guys have a guest i'm interested in you better look that guest up and see them on another podcast no no look at the clip no what about radio lab but i listen to radio i listen to your radio lab you think i'm a freak i don't know i'm a freak yeah i just think that we are you know public figures that is what we are
Starting point is 00:37:48 it says it on our instagram we are we are for the masses right so if you're a close friend what i'm saying on a podcast it's not for you it's for the masses so you kind of listening in on like an interpretation of what i need to like be revved up for somebody to follow me you you you misinterpreted it but it was this wasn't for you babe if i'm talking if i'm talking to you right if i'm dating somebody i'm going to tell them like the good stuff nobody wants to hear that that's not gonna get clicks they're like oh you're in a loving relationship they don't hit you like no they don't hit you is that was crazy that was wild to say but i'm just saying like people like the mess people like the the strife the the the ridiculousness of it all so it's like if you're
Starting point is 00:38:32 a close friend and i'm retelling a story i'm not gonna tell like exactly what happened if it's dull you know i'm not gonna call you and go you dumb bitch you said something different to me than on the pod yeah i'm not gonna agree with you on this sydney no don't we want support i want my friends reposted i'm cool with my friends listening i'm cool with my friends reposting if i'm dating you don't listen to no podcast yes yes don't watch my specials don't watch anything get out of my life it's an unfair imbalance because you can know everything about us in a day exactly you can sit and listen and know every opinion on everything and it's unfair right because i know nothing about you nothing because you're a man who has no hobbies no i'm just saying like it's unfair and
Starting point is 00:39:23 then you're coming it's um it's creepy it's like doing research on someone before you know them it's like this was a rom-com pre-podcast and someone was like following you and your interests and learning and then they can change who they are or like it's giving you on netflix oh i saw yeah yeah yeah so okay i've never been a fan of that i don't like i can't date anybody who i feel like knows more about me than i know about them okay but what about talking about like gossiping about dating like on a public platform or even to other people like how who i'm talking to you yeah like how juicy can it be how like you have to not to quote taylor swift what but you about if a man talks shit i don't owe him nothing so i think you could talk if someone does you wrong
Starting point is 00:40:07 you can talk about them all you want and it happened to you it's your story you could talk about it you don't have to talk about friends i had an ex through someone be like can you stop talking about this person i went absolutely not i'm gonna talk about you as much as i want yeah uh i talk about dates online i'm gonna talk about you yeah if it's good or funny or really really bad and i'm gonna say your name the person that you're gonna date is gonna be into that think it's funny not care or like yeah i mean they not be riled up i still don't want them to listen but i would probably talk about you i don't know i i had somebody that i was dating that was like i heard what you said and that was like i didn't think that was funny that was very personal us
Starting point is 00:40:48 hooking up us like any of that it's weird if someone did that to you and saying and they know it's you that's that i don't like she was like i don't like that like was very upset and i never even thought about it like that because i was like i'm on podcast i'm having fun it's like yeah i don't it's the way we say stuff it's funny but for that they were like but that's not your person but that's why you gotta be like someone i dated once yeah you gotta make it sound like it happened you know the pro yeah you'll be like i dated this guy once what did he say and it's somebody that said it yesterday i was in london and i do i had an old joke about leaving dna when you're hooking up with someone but i was in london met someone on an app and then was taking
Starting point is 00:41:35 a car to hook up with them and i tweeted about it and then when i arrived he was like you know you're pretty easy to find on the internet and i did see the tweet i would have been like chad i'm very active don't google me while i'm in the car on the way to the hookup that is strange i don't think it's that crazy it's more crazy to go to a stranger's house that's a man and think you know in a country that you don't live in oh yeah but i've done we've all done it. If I had a dollar every time I didn't get kidnapped, I'd have enough to pay a ransom. Oh, this is not about gossip, but mess. So Marie and I did Stavros' podcast. The last
Starting point is 00:42:16 interaction I have with this person, I've never met with them, but you know, like a sex situation, but then I was turned off. Hey, great job on the podcast. Is Stavros cool? Two things up. It's like a video of this person coming. And it's like, that's crazy. I haven't, it's like been a year and a half and i get a text about a stavros school that's crazy ew that's disgusting disgusting i don't like disgusting horrific and the video is from how long ago i don't i don't have the number saved i don't know i'd have to find yeah but i'm saying like how much time do you think i passed between but i would say eight months to a year less or more men will continue to disappoint us every time that's why that's why i say don't post them don't post them they're gonna they're gonna
Starting point is 00:43:01 find a way to make you regret pressing post for sure but the engagement no the chats the wedding the wedding yeah oh you're saying the engagement I mean there are people who who have been single the entire time I followed them and then now they're in relationships and now their page is a couple page and it's like I can't stand that please don't when y'all break up or if they disappear from the page I will go to your page and scroll back as many weeks as I can to see if you archived everything is it messed to be like what happened no i mean oh i send you know what sometimes i don't get response i don't care if i want to know something i'll send the eyes it might have been a platonic friend but i just i saw and i went i was with lisa
Starting point is 00:43:49 last month and um oh i think we talked about this with caleb yes yes but i'm gonna bring it up right now because you're sitting right here i was with lisa last month and um you know marcello had done all that stuff for sabrina carpenter's tour and she sees him and she was like can i ask a personal question and as soon as he walks up to us can i ask a personal question he was like yeah what's up she was like did you have sex with sabrina carpenter and i said to caleb i was like why would he say that why would he tell you the truth he said no immediately and i said well you said no too fast and he was like well ask me again and then i was like why lisa who'll be online in a messy bun running her mouth i'm not telling you nothing not if i'm not he doesn't have to but
Starting point is 00:44:33 maybe well you know what one time i i got some good gossip about someone and i went to their good friend and i okay that's bold as fuck lisa um you if you knew these people you wouldn't care and make these noises as much it's like you know but i went up to someone and i asked right away about the friend it's kind of from a Seinfeld episode but I was like did this person have a baby and he went uh no and I go great all I needed to know of course this person did like and it felt great but also how do you hide a baby I'm gonna see them eventually people hide babies people hide babies I don't think it's okay I think more people need to hide the babies but but that was messy but I went up to well or if that's like that's how I practice acting too I think if like
Starting point is 00:45:17 i know information you'd be like yeah oh no way who who murray does that you're kidding you'll act like you don't know i'll be i'll grab i'll clutch my pearls i'll be like it's important to be that person you cannot just show your cards it's it's kind of and i am that person unfortunately i'm just too transparent it's it stresses me out i don't really i am i am like I think that's good. I think it's good. I don't know. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Because sometimes I'll be like writing stuff. You think it's better to love. And I'll see like, Marie, this is what I wrote. Why did you write that? Oh, yeah. Why did you start up top with that? They don't need to know that. Julia's like, I'll just all this info.
Starting point is 00:46:00 And it's like, what are you even writing to this stranger? You know that I see ads for like Grammarly. And it'll be like, they'll take a big ass sentence and turn it into two words. That's how I feel like y'all talk. Y'all talk like. um so i would like to know and i'm like you don't need all this these filler words when i'm canceling things i'm like so like today was really crazy and then like i was so behind and then you know like something happened like mentally where i just i don't think i could do this but like i
Starting point is 00:46:30 will show up if i if i have to if you if you tell me this is it's like no all you have to do i cannot come unfortunately unfortunately i'm going to have to pull out of this yeah and i'm i'm so sorry do you need me in front of replacement i didn't realize this was crazy but one time i booked a show i was booked on a show and when i got the notification or text i wrote back oh i didn't realize it was memorial day weekend i'm not coming and they said i can't believe you said that and i go is it that crazy like you'd rather me lie to you i'm not coming i'm not going to the beach how dare you book me on a sunday on memorial day weekend was it the knit was it the knitting factory no she would never i would never well it might have been before our tenure i don't know
Starting point is 00:47:11 no i feel the knit was a big deal to do the knit always it was it's a huge deal a lot of people you wanted to do good you don't want to embarrass yourself with the knit i mean pre-pandemic knit was the place but you also were the best show back from pandemic in that back room we were doing two shows and you were paying like 200 you were like paying money post pandemic and of sold out show. We are. We were for the people. You were for the people.
Starting point is 00:47:39 That should be more respect for us. We're literally hidden figures. We are. People didn't see us, but we were there doing the work. We should be on more lists. We should be in more documentaries.
Starting point is 00:47:50 I mean, jeez. Do you think that back in the day, like, do you think in like the 60s, in the 50s, they were gossiping? Yeah, but it was better.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Of course. No phones. Even the 90s movie stars, Gwyneth Paltrow, they'll do interviews being like, it was the fucking best. Yeah, they were like just bar hopping, partying, doing you could do drugs wherever you wanted.
Starting point is 00:48:10 No one like no one had a phone. Yeah, nobody had a phone. Right. So you don't have real footage unless they're coming out of your like Frank Sinatra's talking in their nose. They have coke around their nose or whatever. That's the only time. Yeah, they have coke around their nose.
Starting point is 00:48:23 But photos were black and white. So and it's white people with white stuff on their nose. We don't see that. I'm like, oh, my God, look at how highlighter and the boys do. Gosh, the guy. Yeah, everyone is gossiping. People want to know secrets. I'm sure there's a psychological study
Starting point is 00:48:36 I think we should all share a secret people were gossiping but stakes were higher I was thinking like I bet back in like castle old timey days there was gossip but gossip got people killed I mean still does yeah but I think we're talking about the prison system we're talking about castle gossip now
Starting point is 00:48:52 you're really taking us on a journey Liza you are a historian of gossip we're talking about feudal lord gossip game of thrones your mess but they did gossip on game of thrones there was that little bald guy with the sleeves that would be like you didn't hear this from me but a little birdie told me and you were like
Starting point is 00:49:12 my favorite story i guess there was like um a basketball like a sports wife that her shit kept getting leaked like a footballer's wife her shit kept getting leaked and she didn't know what so she made a close friends but only for one person she suspected and so that's how she was able to figure out who it was i love that i love that work i love that she's like doing the subtraction and she's like i'm gonna get this right that that's how you find the mole how you find the she worked for the cia now i do appreciate how we are transparent about our own mess and like business because then it's like you can't make me ashamed of something that i openly already talked about i don't care like
Starting point is 00:50:10 and i think that is the reason why people are saying everything and doing to have diarrhea of the mouth because they're like what you gonna do you if somebody pulls up something from my podcast it's like yeah i said that i'm standing on that yeah i did say that like what's the problem she can't sing there it is do you have ears that's crazy like what if someone pulls up something that i said on the podcast i'd be like i said that oh that's that seemed like a deep fake me i think about this a lot and i think i would have had a different perspective before the last culturistas episode with tina fey when she said authenticity is dangerous and expensive and that changed everything because not everything because i probably still get into trouble but i
Starting point is 00:50:54 think twice now i think three times now when she said that what did she mean it was about the io stuff but then her I don't think so honey was Bowen you're too famous to talk shit about like the movies you don't like because what if they want you in that movie you're too famous now yeah but also it's like we're in entertainment we're in the celebrity of it all like you're
Starting point is 00:51:12 you don't you're not absorbed from someone to critiquing you or talking shit or making jokes you we're all in this business what is the whole no I'm on I'm on what is the whole I'm on no no no I'm creating art it's like you're not a heart surgeon yeah you're literally doing words
Starting point is 00:51:29 or you're being a personality you're doing words or you're saying words you're like it's like have fun i love the celebrities that like read out like tweets yeah like have fun like yeah you if you see it and if you act like you've never heard somebody say something shitty about you then who are you are you a human being nobody is perfect everybody has done stuff i love when celebrities like i've done that before i still like whatever like like you can turn it around you don't have to make it this big thing also j-lo is probably the easiest person to talk mess about yeah people want to not like her no i think we liked her and then it's like we liked her and then we turned up you got a tip like what is it you got a tip is that what is she not a good why she i've heard stories
Starting point is 00:52:14 alleged the tip to me that's like scum she's a bad tipper no i i heard it's a no tipper I heard it's Ben Affleck tried to tip and she went no oh but who knows I mean well Sydney did you never meet her did she never leave you a tip oh she actually did allegedly when I was working at this hotel allegedly she did her baby shower on the rooftop and she told like her people were like I don't want any of the staff I don't want anybody talking to me I only want this one person I don't want don't don't look at me don't talk to me don't engage with me this is my baby shower if you need anything talk to this the liaison or whatever and i was like that's just so boo boo you whore that is so you hold on we see how people can't help themselves and they are weird
Starting point is 00:53:04 they are what you work there stop asking stop taking photos stop being strange you are on the clock like or hide behind a curtain and take a photo don't outwardly be like well those people shouldn't be working at that place but there's so many people like this there's so no you're right So it's like, I kind of do understand where it's like, no, it's different because I heard a tour bus situation where she allegedly was on a bus for three months, did not say hi, bye, thank you, not once. To the driver? Correct. Well, that's the thing about her. So that's not everyone at the, that's like this man that's driving you around.
Starting point is 00:53:40 He's driving you. You can't say good morning when you get on the bus. You can't say, hey, can we stop here? I want to pick up a chicken sandwich. Well, also, let's be honest. We have had somebody, like, say, like, oh, this person did this, that, and the third to me. And they come back around. It's like, they missed it.
Starting point is 00:53:55 That's not what happened. So, it's sometimes people. How do I miss you not saying hello to me for three months? People exaggerate. It's three months. She never said hi. But you've seen bad behavior. You're acting like you've not seen bad behavior up close and personal.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I've heard that about her, too, though, is that she doesn't want people to look at her. She doesn't want people to talk to her. I mean, certain divas, I feel like, have earned it. you know she didn't get an oscar nom and it's like well you gotta be the people's princess but i because sometimes when people look at you you're like you you threw me off no you're right people get crazy with celebrities eye contact people are nuts no ma'am girl i'm gonna need you to skate off just a little bit because you're looking it feels like you're looking into my soul you need something you're taking something away when you're
Starting point is 00:54:35 just like bearing into my forehead but i'm famous of course you want to look at me you should want look at me i'm cute in real life or you saying don't look at me don't make eye contact makes me feel like you're self-conscious about what you look like without a filter because why can't i look over no but i mean famously we were sitting next to j-lo last year and we were like this and we were famously in her face because you can't tell me we're very demure very mindful about there is a picture i want to say oh yeah i posted at the back of her bun yeah i'm that person i'm like no come on no you are you are i know and i'd rather someone be who they are than be fake and like come out like being polite and then they're actually a monster behind you know like but yeah
Starting point is 00:55:21 but the thing about the i'm gonna say the thing about tipping right like also a lot of what people don't know is a lot of times people come into establishments and uh the the managers will be like it's on the house it's on us don't like don't don't pull your card out nothing like that so then the waitress is like oh my god they didn't pay me but then then you go back and the manager is like oh yeah no i told him i took care of it it's like they can still give me some cash well that's what i mean they're bad people who are you're that famous you should have hundreds ready to tip because you know your meal is comp exactly you know your meal is gonna be calm exactly you're that famous you think it's the first time their meal's been calm do you always have cash on you
Starting point is 00:55:56 i'm not that famous and i'm not that rich but when you when you are i can't wait that is my dream that is my hold on hold on sydney they got entourage and assistance and and security those people have cash on them hey i'm i left i left my bag of money on the bus or in the in the maybach let me uh let me get a hundred dollars that level of famous that it's comped you know you should tip i have you should have cash on i have i've no i've bumped heads a lot it's or get an assistant to Venmo. No. 100%.
Starting point is 00:56:28 I've had, I've run into people, managers that were like, oh yeah, no, no, I told them that it's taken care of. I said, why'd you tell them that?
Starting point is 00:56:35 Right. Tell them that, oh, I took care of the actual bill, but they can still tip. You're like, no, no, no, you guys are already
Starting point is 00:56:41 making a lot. No, no, no, no. That's not for you to decide. That's bad. Yeah, but sometimes it's not the celebrities because I've seen it
Starting point is 00:56:50 in real life. Girl, even if boots on the ground, even if someone's like, yeah, this is fully comp don't worry about it we'll take care of it we'll take care of it as a rich ass person you should definitely be tipping 100 200 like you have it you spent we do that it's not rich people my coffee at my spot when they give me my you know my regular rate i tip them till when the
Starting point is 00:57:15 real price is and lisa that's why we're bad with money yes oh that's true we are bad with money this whole thing that people should be like pulling out all their dollars for people in this economy you're out of your mind
Starting point is 00:57:29 but we're not talking I'm just saying we're out of our mind but literally if you are that rich like
Starting point is 00:57:35 I just can't imagine why you wouldn't leave like a few hundred dollars what's JLo's net worth Becca I just want to know oh I would I would guess 150 million
Starting point is 00:57:44 I feel like it's like more 400 million yeah I'm low balling millions of dollars on that movie but if you're worth
Starting point is 00:57:49 400 million dollars you can afford to put some money down on the table after your baby showered that or the bottles they paid for the
Starting point is 00:57:56 whole establishment and if you put sometimes you pay so much money and you do all these things you have some rules and I think
Starting point is 00:58:02 when we get to that point not understanding stumping for the wealth that's crazy Sydney is pro-rich Sydney said
Starting point is 00:58:10 let them eat cake I'm not pro-rich I'm I'm I'm like the entitlement has gotten out of control on all parties everybody
Starting point is 00:58:19 everybody needs to get shook up no so let's stop comping the celebrities then let's but you know if your establishment you bring celebrities in that's going to get more people of course we're going to come it's going to be in page six or whatever and that's going to be good for your business and you can't leave a bartender fifty dollars come on come on come on you buy it you're drinking ace of spades but you can't put no money down it's trashy if you think if you think the the waitresses and the bartenders or ain't stealing,
Starting point is 00:58:45 they getting their 55%. Please believe. You didn't hear this from me, but hey, hey, that's celebrity debate. We gonna get our money done. We gonna get it done.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Something's getting spilled, okay? So then, oh, the bottle broke. Like, you know. I think it's funny.
Starting point is 00:59:02 I can't wait to be rich. Yeah. I think that I'll be okay, but I also feel like I could also be one of these people that's like, turn the lights off,
Starting point is 00:59:11 don't look at me. And then, and then I want a spotlight when I walk in so everyone can just see me. There's got to be an in-between because I've had, I would say, five to ten. I would say I've been crazy before. So I have to take that into account.
Starting point is 00:59:24 This was the craziest thing. I have been crazy. Allegedly, I had a whole section along the wall. Janet Jackson comes in. And she said, ooh, y'all smoking up in here. No, no, no, no. It's a candlelit bar or whatever, allegedly. Candles everywhere.
Starting point is 00:59:38 Literally, she sits down, tells them, blow out all the candles over here. ma'am now we're looking why all the candles out over there you're you're bringing more attention to you this is weird so then there's no light so like a waitress literally tripped over something because she couldn't see oh so it was like hey we gotta turn this light back on and then she had someone move the whole candle holder i was like not her but probably somebody in allegedly in the camp so it was like i don't know maybe i do want to be a celebrity so i can be ridiculous like turn all the lights off turn the lights on the lights off every night
Starting point is 01:00:17 yeah i think i'm gonna it's gotta be i don't know we just like celebs that are nicer but still like i feel i feel like rihanna is polite but she doesn't take shit i actually know someone that tried to be annoying at a club der and she was like and i like that i think you can be real in the moment like you could be a person if someone's being crazy and annoying you can acknowledge it but if people are at work and someone's happy to see you because you're this person that has music that people love like it's bad that bad I don't know I saw Spike Lee walking on my block and I went and he went and that felt good right like a nod is all I really needed and I skipped on changed my day I go I'm in New York like I loved it and it was just a nod like that you know but
Starting point is 01:01:02 But if you're not in the mood or you're having a bad day, I understand being like, fuck you. But overall, but then you'll be in your hotel and somebody's like, whoopee. And she turns around. She's like, what? Like, yeah, I don't. Please don't scream my name out in my hotel. We're in New York City. You got to be cooler than that.
Starting point is 01:01:17 You got to be cool. You have to be cooler than that. Or you wave or whatever. And then you keep it moving. And then you can scream on your FaceTime or scream on your live. But like, act a little cooler than that. You know, I heard that there's a celebrity that went to use a public bathroom. and they made everybody leave the bathroom
Starting point is 01:01:34 so she could pee or poop or whatever she was doing in the bathroom. I get that because I hate when I go to a comedy club and they don't have a separate bathroom in the green room and I have to like go to the bathroom with the people in the show. I go, that's not okay. Honestly, I want to do that as a normal person
Starting point is 01:01:48 because the way my IBS, Oh, back, back, and we're back. Okay, should we do a message? No, because that makes me feel like it's over. I know. But you know, we're friends. We stay talking to each other. Well, I'll tell you the recent mess.
Starting point is 01:02:03 I was getting drunk with some friends and there's another friend that's like, I think is cool and hot and awesome. And I don't think who they're dating is cool. And this person went, she cheats on him. And I went, yes. Like, what a night. I go, I love that. And I, you know, I'll never, I said it here.
Starting point is 01:02:24 I hope it's chill, but I don't think I'll ever tell. I wouldn't want to tell anyone ever. I mean, I love it. I love it. I love it. the joy we all felt like tipsy a few cocktails
Starting point is 01:02:33 and I mean I mean yeah let women cheat too and someone you don't like when you think the girl's cool oh god I like that I do like that
Starting point is 01:02:41 I think before we go after we read the message I think we should all share a secret on the pod okay a secret about maybe something you haven't
Starting point is 01:02:50 told anybody yet I'm thinking about what mine is but yeah okay so please y'all send in the audio we love hearing your voices they're very sexy
Starting point is 01:02:58 sometimes people talk too slow okay This is true. Liza, maybe on your pot, not ours. Okay? Bring audio. Call us. Leave the message.
Starting point is 01:03:07 Thank you. Okay. But speed it up. Write it down. Maybe, like, practice a few times. Play it at 1.5 speed. Yeah. That's the secret.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Okay. So, hi. My name is Christine. So, I'm currently in a relationship. Good for you, babe. And I'm also dating this person who I met while I was on a break with my current partner. Okay. She's got wealth over here.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Wealth in relationship. both men do not know about each other both of them live in a different state than me and i usually see them at different times each one has aspect that i want in my life so is it bad that i want to be with both safely of course should i just pick one or stick with both of them this is this is teetering on mess teetering so you met somebody on the break that you like and you're still talking to them but you're back with the person
Starting point is 01:03:59 you was on a break from so we poly well it's only poly if everybody knows about each other everybody has to be in the know babe
Starting point is 01:04:08 it's a need to know when you are poly and you're talking to other people you gotta put it in the google doc it's messed but I like it you like it
Starting point is 01:04:15 I like it for her I like that it's different states and the visiting yeah the two guys are in different states from where she lives so I like that
Starting point is 01:04:23 oh if it's long distance you don't want anyone want anything and you can do whatever but obviously like i believe in honesty and being but i like this i like it i believe in honesty there's like a fantasy i truly believe in but i'm like i'm in it for her and this is a fantasy too cool i love it yeah i mean it is it's a little mess but like if you're in a long distance relationship are you in a relationship and you already had a break fuck that guy oh right one break she's getting little bits from each
Starting point is 01:04:53 of them and hopefully she'll find you know her mister that has all of it combined right so just tell them though like but the thing is is well marie told me that or no i think we talked about it like omitting is kind of lying it's lying it is omitting yeah they say it's what's it a white lie because you know white people do be lying okay but it's white but omitting is different it's like if we're talking talking talking and you never ask me that i'm talking to somebody else right and we're not like established I'm not am I lying you just never asked me and I didn't tell you no yeah I mean is it exclusive if we're long distance I think that's the information that I'm missing here I bet that man thinks he's in a relationship but what's saying that he also
Starting point is 01:05:40 isn't dating someone like in the city that they live in yeah she didn't ask right so that's what I'm saying if nobody cares if the communication isn't very clear then anything is up for grabs But I think if you're if you want to get something off your chest and like sleep well at night, but you some people don't people like the in the gray. That's that's hot for them. Oh, they don't know if we're really together or not. Oh, I'm talking to somebody else. Yeah. That's why I think Polly doesn't work sometimes because everybody's in the know.
Starting point is 01:06:09 And it's like it cheating is exciting and lying is fun. Being honest. Nobody's nobody's coming so hard. to honesty I mean some people probably are some I think Mormons but in all this dating stuff it's like when people are being like I like you and into you and picking up in the first ring you're like yuck well I like it I hate when it's not real like a love bomb yeah I'm into love bombs I like getting love bombed I mean I like the romance in terms of like I like the idea of meeting someone and being like,
Starting point is 01:06:48 oh yeah, for sure. And then just being together and having it be a whirlwind romance. Like, I like the idea of that. Whether, I don't think it's a healthy or good thing. But when you hear people go, we got married three weeks in and they're together forever, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:07:03 I think that's cool. I mean, we were talking to a friend this weekend and she met somebody on vacation right after my birthday trip in Morocco and now is moving to Europe. I was like, hey babe, I did that in L.A. Yeah, but Europe is different than L.A.
Starting point is 01:07:22 It's scarier. It's like, you don't know anybody. But she's keeping her place. Yeah, she's keeping her place. You don't know anybody. Sure. And don't speak the language. And don't speak the language.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Honey, we're entering fascism. Like, let someone entertain an escape option. Oh, I like that term. Good for you. Escape option. Yeah. Is that what we're doing now? I'm hoping my special
Starting point is 01:07:48 is a success so I can become rich and famous in London so I can leave I don't know I think fashion is going everywhere Hey listeners it's up to y'all I'll save everyone I'll tip People will make posts being like we made the right girl famous
Starting point is 01:08:03 Yes You are People really would enjoy you as a famous person I hope so but then And then what? And then a hotel room is not ready and then I flip out why is the room not ready check in is at 5
Starting point is 01:08:22 I'm at the Mondrian right now and can you believe they're 15 minutes past not ready for my room now I'm out here you see my messy bun my eyeliner is everywhere I thought I was just gonna walk in
Starting point is 01:08:33 and go to sleep yeah the hotel's gotta get it together yeah cause how's the room not ready I made this reservation weeks ago cause just sometimes when you're taking these flights you know when you're on the road
Starting point is 01:08:43 it's tough But I do apologize. I go back downstairs and apologize post-nap usually. Oh, you do? Yeah, I've apologized. Everybody make Lisa Trager famous, please. And make sure you watch her special. You know, you hear about certain celebs where the stories are just kind of jovial or chill.
Starting point is 01:09:00 And it feels nice to hear a story like that. Yeah. I don't know if that's going to be you. No. I'm thinking Adam Sandler. People like him. He nods. He's happy, I think, to be famous.
Starting point is 01:09:12 I mean, he's also in a sleep shirt everywhere he goes. You should be happy. He's also wearing a long-sleeve shirt under a short-sleeve shirt and wearing basketball shorts. Of course, he's cute. Yeah, he's happy. Like, you know what a guy wearing that is all about? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:25 The vibes. You can't expect somebody in a button-down and some tight-ass slacks and some hard bottoms to always be nodding. They don't have, you know, they don't. And honestly. So the less comfortable you are, the more allowance we give to bad behavior. I didn't say that. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:09:40 We're saying the bad behavior is less likely. Yeah. When someone is in a so-cate Louboutin, which is literally piercing both pinky toes and the big toe. Your foot is like this. If you don't say hi back, I get it. You're focused on, let me put one foot, next foot, next foot. But ooh, ooh, ah! Like, I get it.
Starting point is 01:09:59 I get it. I'd be okay if someone ignored my presence. That's not true. As a famous person? As a famous person. Oh, because somebody has ignored you and you were very upset. Well, they didn't just ignore me. they went with their face and i went oh okay we've done whippets together but sure okay okay
Starting point is 01:10:20 demi more but sure no okay i mean did she did she ignore what's her face at the um golden globes or not oh kylie yeah i mean we we watched that video over and over again like just the world oh yeah what do you think i mean it looked like she she hit her with a little smile and then in my head she's the same age as I bet Demi in my head when I saw that she's the same age as Demi Moore's
Starting point is 01:10:42 daughters around I wonder if they went to school together summer camp did something together and like she doesn't like them the kids
Starting point is 01:10:49 the kids are fighting that's where my brain went that's giving rumor willis babe yeah maybe Tallulah was like fuck that bitch and she's like I'm gonna fucking
Starting point is 01:10:55 ignore her Demi Moore you can do whatever you want babe whatever you want to do do it I met her once
Starting point is 01:11:02 and beautiful beautiful kind nice and she acknowledged you oh yeah and she gave me a secret and I have not
Starting point is 01:11:10 you know I don't tell people allegedly allegedly and I don't she's gonna keep it I keep it I would never publicly
