Well, you know, we went to boot camp this morning. Okay, so Sydney feel it herself. I'm just coming down from that. Marie's also a bully
Starting point is 00:00:35 when you're working out, just to let you know. I don't think that's true. I complimented you today while you were working out. I didn't say a single mean thing. She said you look young and then... I said, Sydney, you look 12. But look at her form, though. No, I didn't. That was a different comment. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:00:51 But the comment was made. Somebody was like, Sydney's butt is bigger than Marie's. And I was like, well, look at her form. What does that mean? I mean, you wasn't holding the right form for the push-ups. Her butt was high in the air, not low to the ground. So, you know, form. But, you know, when I'm not doing the form, the butt is still popping.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Sure, it's popping, but, sis, is it healthy? Your ass got diabetes, friend. Your ass is going to lose its foot. Your ass is going to lose its foot. Now, who's being hostile now, bitch? I'm just being comedic. I'm being entertaining. I'm being adorable

Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Cool, cool, cool. Right. Okay. So then he's like, hey, you know, I just want to get this out of the way. I want to jump right into it. How old are you? And I said, is this how men are approaching women? Just asking their age?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Like, is this? After following them for several blocks. What's going on here? That's gang sis. I feel attacked. I was triggered. I was like, what do you need to know my age for? I was like, oh, you think I look young?

Starting point is 00:06:03 it's basically like when Dominicans say bueno their face is a certain way and it's the most
Starting point is 00:06:09 disrespectful face and Marie doesn't it's mad New York bueno bueno when you ask a Dominican how they're doing it
Starting point is 00:06:18 and whether the answer is good or bad they'd be like it was the funniest thing i'd ever seen this is an inside joke whatever fucking i don't care the meme is so new york you gotta come to new york and talk to a dominican person in washington heights and have them say is this bad no me don't speak is great uh let's talk about what i was an expert truthfully uh i was an expert at being unemployed again no you're not marie shut up and by

I said, you know what, let's just see how many, let's see if I can get my Azalea Banks on, you know? If I can be, if I can make a career out of what she's doing, then I can do it too. I'm here for it. So I'm sure that the fans will be in my DMs
Starting point is 00:07:50 upset with me when that airs on June whatever. And then I was, I visited Sydney at work the next day at Comedy Central. I told an embarrassing sex story Yes ma'am About dating a man Dating

I'm excited to have him back. Funny freaking dude. He performs literally all over the country.
Starting point is 00:10:00 He on the road, baby. Yeah. He was our ATL expert. Yes, yes. Many moons ago. We talked about Nunu and T.I. and Petey Pablo.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Did we talk about him? Probably. He's from North Carolina. Sure, sure, sure. Oh, okay. Check your shirt off. He's real excited about that, but yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Yes. Who cares? The fact that we're talking about Petey is a blessing for him. Yeah, we're bringing, shutting lights. He's going to get extra downloads after this episode. You know what? Drumline took place in Atlanta and Petey Pablo was in that.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Okay, I never saw Drumline. And no one knows what he says. You never saw Drumline? That's the Nick Cannon one. Hi, you're talking too much. Let's just bring you in. Let's give it up for our Black Bops expert, Robert Hayes. Robert Hayes.
Starting point is 00:10:45 So Drumline, the Nick Cannon one. Yes. But then there's also Stomp the Yard. Sure. And then there's also You Guys Served. yes and then there's also save the last dance uh yes these are all four totally different movies what's the difference between you got served and stomp the yard in my mind same film no see you got served is a dance film and stomp the yard is okay but stomp you the yard is also a dance film
Starting point is 00:11:10 no no but it's different is a is a step team yes niggas who are in college and then you know the other show is just like people from the streets yeah like one is b2k in the streets Is Raz B serving people in You Got Served? I feel like no. It's Raz. I mean, all of B2K is in it. There's a scene where Omarion's training in the rain. I mean, because obviously you can't have an R&B singer not be in the rain.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Have you seen You Got Served? I have not seen any of these movies that we're talking about. You named four movies that shaped our lives. Shaped your life. Wow. I have two family homes. I have a yard. Yeah, Noreen was born 1998.
Starting point is 00:11:52 99. Oh, wow. Yeah. Wow. With a Wu-Tang shirt on. This was free. This shirt was free. I got it last year.
Starting point is 00:12:01 They broke up in 99. She don't even know who Wu-Tang is. I'm sorry. I don't know. I don't listen to Asian rap. Wu-Tang? Nah. I like Tang, though.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Orangutan. So, Rob, let's talk a little bit about what's going on with you since you've been here. A whole lot. You getting ready to move across the globe? Yeah. It's bittersweet I'm on my last days In New York
Starting point is 00:12:23 This four year journey Well you booked nigga That's great Just don't be sad about it This is awesome Get the fuck out of New York Oh Okay
Starting point is 00:12:30 Go make some money In LA Yeah go get some money Send us some money Get us some gigs So since last time I was on the podcast Uh huh
Starting point is 00:12:38 Let's see I did the Tonight Show Yes In a suit In a suit In a suit that you wore To my birthday party Yeah you had a suit
Starting point is 00:12:46 Theme party Yes I did And yeah I wore that suit To your party also worked on The Tonight Show. Let's see. So when you're getting ready to do a show
Starting point is 00:12:55 like The Tonight Show or something like that as a stand-up comedian, do you know what you're going to wear before you book it? Like, you knew going in you wanted to wear a suit? I bought that suit, like, four years prior. For that? Yeah, I knew. Like, I knew that was, like,
Starting point is 00:13:11 the suit I was going to wear. That's the suit that... That was the suit in that thing. Sydney's saying you went to many warehouse. She couldn't get the shade out. That's the suit? That's the suit that you were like, oh, I'm going to kill him in this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Yeah. I think you need to hit us with like a plaid, something with a pattern next time. Okay. Right? Something real like tailored to the waist. So we can be like, bow. Look at him. Be spoke.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Okay. I got to get my waist right first. Right. You got your waist trainer. Yeah. I need to go to boot camp. Rob, I just don't feel like you're a suit guy. Like, you can wear a suit, but I just feel like, what's your vibe?
Starting point is 00:13:49 That's not... What do you mean? I watch Power every Sunday. So that's why you're a suit guy? Yeah. Ghost wears a suit, and I'll be like, yeah. I do not watch Power. That show is terrible.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Y'all, this is a big, rich town. It's called Big Rich Town? That's the song. You got so much you gotta watch. No, I'm glad that she doesn't watch that shit. She's trying to enlighten herself in other ways. We wouldn't have Kerry Washington if it wasn't for Save the Last Dance. That is true.
Starting point is 00:14:14 That's true. Because she was Julia Stiles' friend? Yeah. I will say that that show jump-started interracial dating. Like, it just went crazy. The movie saved the last day. I don't think that's true. Black dudes had been dating white women literally since slavery.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Yeah, but no, it was more on display on that movie. Since you didn't see 12 Years a Slave? Wasn't Michael Fassbender trying to bang Lupita? I don't know if you know about Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, but you guessed wrong. Yeah, you guessed wrong. sydney said uh that that because of julia styles dancing off beat on a chair that flat face ass bitch with wide hips was no let me show you wow you're hip shaming yeah
Starting point is 00:14:57 wow i have no hips that's what it is i know shout out to julia styles dancing with that what's that guy's name i want to say omar epps but that's no that's othello she was in oh no that was styles Do you love a black man? That was another one. Mekhi Pfeiffer. Mekhi Pfeiffer. Who's the roundhead black man? Sean something?
Starting point is 00:15:19 No, wasn't it the smart dude from Barbershop? No, we didn't watch that. I didn't watch Barbershop. I did see Barbershop. I don't remember. What black movies did y'all see that came out while you could watch movies? I saw Barbershop. I saw Booty Call.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I saw I saw Woo Woo with Jada Pinkett That's sad that y'all missed so many movies and both saw Woo Well because Jada Pinkett was hot in Woo She had a bob, she had a mushroom cut And this was right after she did Scream 2
Starting point is 00:15:54 Oh I didn't see that She's in Scream 2 She was in the beginning She died right away She died first I saw What other movies have I seen The Wood probably
Starting point is 00:16:09 yeah The Wood I saw The Best Man Mackin and Haley The Wood The Friday Friday movies Belly DMX was naked in that
Starting point is 00:16:17 we saw his dick a little bit when he comes out the shower I was like oh he's swangin I was like look at that pit bull shut him down open up shop
Starting point is 00:16:26 oh no look at DMX's dick go I just ruined one of my favorite movies but it's okay it's alright
Starting point is 00:16:35 that scene where the guy's eating the banana on the corner And he's like, no, I don't like that. We don't like them niggas. It's like, how are you hating on me and you eating a banana with a perm? I love it. Okay, that's it.
Starting point is 00:16:46 We've seen the ones that matter. We've seen so many. Okay. What's your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Coming to America. Yeah. Like, by far. That's a classic.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Like, you could show me one frame from Coming to America and I'm like, that's Coming to America right there. Like, one time my roommate in college turned on the TV. it was just cars parked outside the Waldorf Astoria and I was like oh y'all watching Coming to America they was like how did you know that like we didn't even know what we was watching yet okay so where do you stand on Lean on Me
Starting point is 00:17:15 because I love that movie Lean on Me is definitely a classic it's kind of sad though I just I think you know because my dad was so strict as a kid he liked that movie because Morgan Freeman was so evil in it like mean in it
Starting point is 00:17:30 that I liked the movie too. When I hear Welcome to the Jungle Welcome to the jungle I immediately think of Lena Meade Somebody's beating up Kid Ray I love that movie Kid Ray Who taught you that song? There's certain parts in movies
Starting point is 00:17:51 That I'm just like I didn't get But we recently watched BAPS It was awful I had never seen BAPS before Don't disrespect Robert Townsend like that Oh, Robert Townsend did that movie. Was he bored?
Starting point is 00:18:05 I'm just trying to figure out where he was when he was like, yes, let's do this. Yeah. Where did he write that pilot? Black American princesses. But that was just a weird way to display black American princesses. Right. Nothing about them feels like princesses to me. A lot of pleather.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And then they like scamming this man. They were in the LL Cool J video shoot. LL Cool J was in the movie as well. Oh, wait. They were just hood. Do you remember How to Be a Player with Bill Bellamy? How to Be a Player is one of those movies that I used to watch and be like, that's what I'm going to be like when I get older.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I feel like that's why I have so many shoes. I just have a bunch of shoes. Do you think that you're a player now? No, no, I'm not a player. Or you wanted to be Bill Bellamy because he was a stand-up and he was in movies and he was supposed to be like the good-looking dude in comedy. Both. I wanted to be the character,
Starting point is 00:18:57 But I also wanted to be Bill Bellamy Like the person Shout out to Bill Bellamy I'm sure he's listening to this right now I wanted to be a fuckboy And I wanted to be a famous comedian You aspired to be that I feel like you're doing well on one side
Starting point is 00:19:13 Yeah no no no I mean I had my time Oh you were a fuckboy? You know It happens You're a liar you're so nice For me probably it's not to the degree of like a real fuck boy but then like somebody there's people out there you'll hook up with a
Starting point is 00:19:31 chick and then you'll bring her down to the car you'll get an uber and you won't ghost her you're like hey i had a great time but but right now you know with work i'm traveling i can't i'm moving to la meanwhile you weren't moving but you just said that you wanted me for coffee there's a sign lease yeah yeah yeah you're sending her a picture of a lease a fake the keys and they're like oh what a nice guy yeah okay no i'm in a relationship so you know oh so you don't want to say too much okay that's fine i see a lot of people just like acting on the podcast and like be yourself man i'm being myself they're gonna find out anyway she gonna she gonna hear the episode ain't nothing to find out
Starting point is 00:20:16 Rob said you not about to get him you not about to get him dumped before the summer she know all my passwords we good she know all your passwords oh let's talk about this
Starting point is 00:20:25 what's your password let me yeah cause if she know it then we might as well know it I know we one of the gals what you mean what you need to go

Starting point is 00:21:09 I was going to mention R. Kelly. Chris Brown don't got to be out. He's got to be out. Why is he out? He beat Rihanna. Yeah, in like 2009. Yo, that was a long time ago. Rihanna forgave him, sis.
Starting point is 00:21:19 They text. Yeah, they hooked back up. They stood out matching tattoos. They good. Yeah, sis, what you talking about? Girl, I thought he did something else. He wasn't that. Was he in Stomp the Yard?
Starting point is 00:21:29 He was in Stomp the Yard. Yeah, if anything. He was all up in a commercial, then he died in the first scene. And it was like, come on, they got us. Wow. Oh, spoiler alert. I'm sorry. I apologize.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Chris Brown dies in the first scene of Stomp the Yard. Great. That's exactly how it should go. producer tall gay Andrew said that he's on board
Starting point is 00:21:47 with me with we cancel Chris Brown he can't I can't imagine he like threw a chair at like Good Morning America yes yes yes he threw it at

Some of our listeners are wearing boat shoes right now, and they're like, who? Before I Let Go? Just sing the chorus.
Starting point is 00:26:57 You don't know Before I Let Go? No. You make me happy. this you can bear no I don't know that song what was that that's the uncle from proud family

Starting point is 00:28:18 The theme songs take away from time in the episode. But it's like, if the song is good. People are going to remember that. it's less that I think the reason why they don't do it anymore is because you have to
Starting point is 00:28:30 pay royalties for the music for the length that the show was on pay royalties no no no you don't need to make a song
Starting point is 00:28:39 like like even even like like some songs like some songs are just so memorable like it's a

It's like a little banjo, like a little twang. I like that song. I mean, I miss the early 2000s because R&B was R&B. Rhythm and blues.
Starting point is 00:42:18 People were really talking about things that were going on with lovers. And men didn't mind pouring their fucking hearts out and getting curved left and right. Starting point is 01:07:32 You're gonna love me. You're gonna love me. I like the remix with Ghostface. It's just weird. The whole album, it just, I love it. I didn't like the cover of the album. I like the individual songs with them together. I thought the cover was dope.
Starting point is 01:07:45 I don't know. The cover was like, sis, what you got this baggy thong on? She's like in the bed. That's the muscles. The muscles pulling it down. It looked real thick. I was like, sis, you got an android in your pants? Oh, you're going to love me.
