Starting point is 00:00:00 Forever Dog It's a black and white striped shirt. This is very, like, Parisian, but also, like, I will rob you. A little burglar. No, this is burglars in, like, the 20s used to dress like this. Not anymore. Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Not anymore. No. I'm reminiscent, you know? Yeah, it's a TBT. I'm a TBT. Yes. That's great. Look, I'm glad that we're on the same page this morning.
Starting point is 00:00:48 How are you doing? You look great. You look great. You got your, like, house but also outside face on. I love it. Well, my house face is my outside face, just because, you know, I don't like wearing makeup. No. Because she doesn't need it.
Starting point is 00:00:58 You don't need it. And I got up this morning and I was looking in the mirror at the bathroom and I was like, I am really pretty. It was like crazy how long it took me to realize that. And thank you so much for actually, no, you're welcome for all the people who've ever met me in real life or seen any of my photos. OK, so what's going on? Anything new? You you thrive in. Yes, I'm thriving.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Let's talk about this. So this week I was an expert at living by myself because my roommate is gone for a week and listen, you have not lived until you live by yourself and you're only still paying half the rent because she's gone and like a person who lives alone, I am naked all the time at my house now. Like when I get in the house, I'm naked. Like I get in and I take my panties off before I take off my shoes. What?
Starting point is 00:01:50 I live in a house where you had to take your shoes off, but now just naked on the couch, Just today's in the fridge. The stalker's got something to jerk off to, sis. In the window, smoking weed with the light on, just backlit. Oh, my God. Wow, Marie. I'm going to just stroll by the crib this week. Gorge.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I just want to get to know you better, friend. Today I was home, you know, naked on my couch, just like on Twitter. Oh, my God. And talking to my mom on speakerphone. And somebody was knocking on the door. And I was like, well, I'm not expecting guests. also i'm naked and i was like who is it and they were like inspection because i wasn't going to open the door but i was on the phone with my loud ass haitian mom so i knew they could hear me yeah
Starting point is 00:02:33 so i had a you know i had you to throw a little a little long shirt on that you like hold like this like at the neck okay and i'm at the door like hi my shit is messy because whenever somebody comes to the door i'll just throw a towel on i have a bonnet on i have such i look crazy yeah i'll have a towel it looks like i took a shower but i'm dry it's just the house it's just the towel for company yeah or or the cum towel whatever the cum towel you wrap your body in the first of all y'all not doing washcloths or hand towels your whole body just a full cum towel i'm a different type of lesbian you know oh my god y'all just y'all must be just so moist i'm you know drip drip came through dripping drip drip is it the towel that you lay
Starting point is 00:03:20 Is it the wet spa towel? I think so. I'm confused. With the ShamWow to sop it up. Wow. The podcast is real. The biscuit towel. The podcast is real nasty in 2019.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Ew. Ew, Sydney. So wet spa, it looked like a tie-dye situation. You opened the door for the FedEx man? Yes. And every time, I love it that it's the same dude because he just gets it. He don't even look at me crazy. Oh, sis, that's his requested route now.
Starting point is 00:03:46 He's like, oh, it's some freaky chick with a soggy towel and 3B. nah nah he be like ooh auntie lit up in here you know cause I have my bonnet on and you're like why is it 3pm
Starting point is 00:03:55 and you still look like it's morning time do you open the door naked for like the church ladies that knock on the door like the Jehovah's Witness ladies we don't open the door
Starting point is 00:04:05 for them we just don't we blast the music and be like I just don't hear the knocking I just scream from the couch not interested in Jesus today Marie
Starting point is 00:04:14 and that's not true you are interested in Jesus always but I'm not gonna get off the couch and let you talk to me Like, you're going to give me a pamphlet and just say, hey, sister, we just want to talk to you about the work. No, sis, no. How about you follow me on the gram?
Starting point is 00:04:27 Ooh, ooh, have you? Have you given your information? No, those old ladies don't have Instagram. Anyway, that was what I was an expert in this week is just like living my best no roommate life. Yeah. And when she gets back, you know I'm going to be pissed off. Well, the thing about roommates is, you know, I haven't had one in so long. That's hilarious.
Starting point is 00:04:46 What's a roommate? You've got nine cats and y'all share one bath. so that's a lie my cats don't even really care for me that much they like put up with me they're like oh you're here i guess but like yeah they're they just look over me they make sure that i'm okay but i haven't had a roommate in five years so like you know i mean i feel like the way you're saying this is leading the listeners on it's making you it's making you sound richer than me i'm definitely not but i'm just saying like a roommate meaning like i'm not intimate with this person and when i had a roommate when i had a roommate i we worked at the same place we hung
Starting point is 00:05:25 out at the same places we were with each other all the time yeah that's we would bicker about any little thing oh bicker that's a good word i haven't heard that in a long time oh we would bicker we were golden girls at nightclubs we would just be arguing about dumb shit like oh you ate the last trader joe's pizza like you never cleaned the forks like just dumb shit i feel like both of Y'all were not cleaning nothing in that house. No, no, no, no, no. My friend was very Polish, very, like, old school. She was very clean.
Starting point is 00:05:53 So she was yelling at you for not cleaning. Yes, yes, yes. Okay, great. That makes sense. Sydney, maybe your resolution for the new year should be to clean? You know what? I think I could do that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I think I'm going to do that. I'm going to get you some yellow sexy mom Dexter's lab gloves. Or to get enough money that I can get a what? Made. When was the last time you cleaned a bathroom? like scrubbed a tub what year was that were you gonna put me
Starting point is 00:06:20 on a spot like this I mean the listeners she said what year what year sis like clean who was in the white house when you last cleaned a bathroom like clean like
Starting point is 00:06:27 where the grout is and stuff oh my god Cindy you don't even sis you know we gonna pray for you I think I could like two months ago
Starting point is 00:06:35 uh huh which uh uh no the judges are saying no they said two months maybe I definitely cleaned the tub
Starting point is 00:06:42 with what just walk us through the process real quick okay Oxi-clean. Oxi-clean? Oh, my God. Sydney, you sound like my first white roommate who knew nothing about cleaning.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Shut up. She used to use that, like, Meyers, like, cleaning soap that's, like... Oh, I did use that. Not for cleaning. Hand soap. Sydney, you be scrubbing the tub with hand soap. You probably don't have no Fabuloso at the house. I know.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Ikea. Sydney, what were you an expert in this week? We use Amwell products, so how dare you? Amway? Oh, yeah. That's whatever you call it. Well, you know, you do what you can. Okay, what was I expert in this week?
Starting point is 00:07:21 Hmm. Oh, I've been reaching out to people that I haven't spoken to in a long time. For money? No, I just want to touch base. You got to touch base because it's a new year and you're like, listen, I have old friends, I have new friends, and I have friends that I have to get back up with. And so that's what I've been doing. I've been reaching out. Hey, how you doing?
Starting point is 00:07:44 I mean, I've been looking at their Instagram and it's like, oh, you look like you came into some money. How are you doing? Oh, wow. See, that's exactly what I thought you were doing. No, that's not what you're actually. No, I'm actually checking on people to make sure everyone's OK for the for the new. What's their plans? I want to know what people plans are, because I know where I think I want to where I want to be and what I want to do.
Starting point is 00:08:05 But also it's cool to check in and be like, so what are you doing this year? What are you? Hey, girl, see that you got fat. Oh, my God. You look happy, though. How are y'all doing? He still cheating? You think about, you know, getting married, traveling.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I have a friend that is in, what's that school where you are going to be like working at a spa? Spa school? No, it's not spa school, but we'll call it spa school for now. But she's in that and I ended up getting a facial from her. My old roommate, actually. Shout out to Roxy. Hey, boo. She got me a facial.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Roxy cleans the house and cleans your face Oh my god, it was great And she was just letting me know Your skin is still amazing See, that's why you gotta check in with people She knew me for years You went on her Instagram, saw that she was in spa school And you were like, let me see if I can
Starting point is 00:08:57 She could pencil me in for a quick facial Yeah, that's exactly what happened But you know, I would Some say it's using And I say it's rekindling Who else have you reached out to? Anybody else? Somebody with like a boutique or like that sells hair bundles.
Starting point is 00:09:15 No, I reached out to another friend because it seemed like she moved and come to find out her and her girlfriend broke up. They were together for seven years and they broke up out of nowhere and she had to get her shit together and move and find another place. And I'm like, wow, you had enough money to get it together in a couple of weeks. Wow. That's what grownups do, Sydney. They have rainy day funds and they save money and put money aside. And then when something bad happens, they just, they can leave. They got a go bag.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Listen, I would have to be in a shelter. I would have to be in a hostel. How much is a hostel a night? I feel like a hostel is $9 plus your life. Oh, okay. I think I have that. You will get murdered if you stay in a hostel. I think that's what I'm doing for the year.
Starting point is 00:10:06 You ready to die in 2019? Absolutely. You know what? I feel like hostels are very... Hostel. No, they're very community-based. Yeah, because you share everything. People go through your bag.
Starting point is 00:10:15 They use your toothbrush. They use your condoms. It's community-based. It's a hostel. And it's bunk beds. Probably. I've never stayed in a hostel. Don't judge a bunk bed by its cover.
Starting point is 00:10:27 There's some great mattresses on a bunk bed. Would you date somebody? What would you do? You know what? Let's just ask the guest this because I got real questions. Let's get this episode really and truly underway. Yes, yes, yes. We have a light-skinned
Starting point is 00:10:40 god, god, god, a short king, a short king in our presence. A petite prince. Oh, I like petite prince. I haven't seen someone yet. He is iconic and legendary in his own right.
Starting point is 00:10:56 He's written for Big Mouth on Netflix. Okay, you know, credits. Come on, bibliography. And he's the newest correspondent on The Daily Show. Okay, we know people. We know people.
Starting point is 00:11:07 and he's our Caucasian bops expert. Give it up for Jaboukie Young White. What's up? Thank you for having me on you guys. Jabouks. Your skin is glowing. Wow thank you. Your curls are popping. Thank you. What are you using for the curls? Diva Curl. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Diva Curl. She's got money. Is this an ad? That's always a reaction. That is an ad. That's always a reaction. That's not for plus. It does last a long time I will say. A little bit of that cream lasts a long time. But now do you go there to get your haircut also no you do it by yourself yeah no i mean i'll just like go to a barber and like i'll just take a curl cut it because that's all they do i went there once and they really went like a
Starting point is 00:11:44 nice like snip snip snip snip okay that's great yeah yeah it's not a black no no no no at diva curl like the shop oh no i was like you go to the dominican girls individually i could see you in like a dominican salon they would love that's usually where i try to go because i stay with like a nice auntie haircut that's what i try to go for you know like a nice little fade yeah long at the top like it's tapered off just like a little floppy situation exactly yes exactly like a closeted auntie yes like on thanksgiving like oh you know just bring my friend yes like queen latifah in every role she did in the 90s oh my soft butch queens my icons i love that's where i get my style from soft butch queen now uh before we introduced you i was getting ready
Starting point is 00:12:28 to ask Sydney a question, but I'm going to ask it to you. What would you do if you were on a date with somebody and they took you home and they had a bunk bed? And they were like... He been through it. I see it. It doesn't happen. But I'm just thinking, are they top or bottom bunk? Top bunk. It can't happen.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Wait, what's wrong with the top? How are you going to smash on the top bunk? It's New York. There's no way you have that much ceiling space. If you're at the top bunk in New York City... You're just hunched a little bit. If it's a loft bed... No, it's a bunk bed.
Starting point is 00:12:59 And then it's also like, because the whole time I'm going to be like, why can't we just use the bottom bunk bed? And he's going to be like, well, my roommate. And I'm going to be like, no. And that don't get the dick hard. That don't get the dick hard at all. Your roommate, uh, no. It just recoils the dick. You're like, ah, you know what?
Starting point is 00:13:15 It sucks it back in. You're going to be like. And then you check your Uber app and you're like, well, there's a surcharge. I guess I'll get on the top bunk bed now. I mean, some. I can hang out here until it goes down. I got 18 and a half minutes I mean I've been
Starting point is 00:13:30 I've been to loft like you can't even stand all the way up sometimes like you walk up these little stairs to get to this loft and then you're like oh I guess and I'm not tall so if I can't stand like what dude am I with that sleeps there like he's smaller than me
Starting point is 00:13:45 a short king that's what I was gonna say Jaboukie you're so young I feel like you could do a bunk bed you know i do have the capability i could i'm flexible enough are you in yoga yeah i am in yoga i do yoga i fuck with yoga heavy um gotta stay limber you know i i mean i've done lofted so i know i could do it i just think on principle there's a difference between loft and bunked yes absolutely yeah because it's a different like loft is artist
Starting point is 00:14:15 in right in williams it's like i'm putting up with all of your artistic quirks right but bunk at it's like what am i what am i putting up with bunker is like okay well he gonna give me pizza bagels in the morning yes yes which is you know i might say for a pizza bagel i love a pizza bagel but it also gives you like mixtape vibes like oh he's his studio is definitely in the bathroom right no are y'all not into that i've never dated a dude that did music in his house i did i lost my virginity to someone that had a studio in a bathroom they had like the eggshell crate things yeah the sock over the mic the sock over the mic
Starting point is 00:14:53 you two have met somebody who was like oh I'm going to Germany for rap to Germany because the scene is so big there he said that he took my virginity and took it to Germany he's like oh you know I'm actually
Starting point is 00:15:09 going to be moving to Germany in two weeks and then what happened two weeks later and then I saw him two weeks on the two train and I was like wow I guess Germany is in Brooklyn what's up he was like I'm at Germany Bushwick
Starting point is 00:15:19 yeah it's a Germany street no it's actually a girl named Germany that's probably why I'm moving on to Germany we're talking about music Jaboukie
Starting point is 00:15:27 what's your favorite type of music my favorite type of music huh I would say I listen to the thing I listen to the most is probably
Starting point is 00:15:34 indie like pop music like okay who are you an example Beach House is probably my favorite band of all time I have no idea
Starting point is 00:15:41 what's their number one the number one on Spotify there was this one song that I think Kendrick sampled that is their number one and what's the song can you sing it it's very like uh like just like and it's like dreamy and like it's not really lyrics it's more so like the vibe it's like a vibe okay it's like a vibe drugs yeah i'm like acid sounds like acid no because i'm that's the
Starting point is 00:16:04 type of music that i've kind of been enjoying recently is the vibe of the song like i won't like somebody do you know claire brown or clary brown no about to look it up i got a whole playlist that's just like this is it's a vibe but it's either indie pop or like r&b uh but like newer kind of stuff like uh like sZA you know that brand you don't have no music soul child in your fucking i have some but that's that's reserved for when i'm cooking that's like the erica badu music soul child maxwell that's i'm like you know i'm like making something with some love you know that's that's like my clean so what's your cleaning music my cleaning music has got to be up like playboy cardi like little uzi really i need motivation i feel like my
Starting point is 00:16:47 cleaning music is like throwback r&b so your cooking music is my cleaning music yes yeah yeah wow my cooking music is usually wendy williams because i that's when i watch her show because i get my celebrity news from wendy williams yeah i don't want to listen to music or watch tv or anything while i'm i need to focus so you did you just say while you're cooking yeah Because the fans want to know when the last time you cooked. Wow, Marie, you stay putting me on blast, man. I mean, you said when I'm cooking. In 2019, I thought you was going to be uplifting me, sis.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Listen, if your friends are not uplifting you and dragging you at the same time, do you even have friends? Like, you know? Okay, but let's get back, sis. When's the last time you cooked? When's the last time I cooked? Was it right around the time you cleaned? I think I did a back to back. You were like, I'm going to cook this and then I'm going to clean the hell out of this house.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I was like, I'm going to clean the tub and then I'm going to make me some spaghetti. No, I actually need to pay attention when I'm cooking because I don't cook frequently. So I have to, you know, read the ingredients, make sure I have everything, make sure I don't cut my finger. You are so right on that. So I like silence. I like silence. I've busted my finger open so many times cooking. Ooh, let's talk about it.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Well, you know, you got to hold it. You got to, like, tuck your fingers when you cut. Right? You'll be cutting. Yeah, that's me. You cut. That's me. You're just being choppy.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Whacking away. Well, that's why you can't be watching these cooking shows because these professional chefs make it look, you'd be like, okay, yeah, I'll learn how to cut some green onions or some chives. I don't know. Whatever the long green thing is. Is that chives or green onions? Green onions, I think.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Green onions. Scallions? What's a scallion? I feel like that's the green thing, too. Is it the same thing? Yeah. Don't nobody know.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Do you be cooking, sis? Oh, sis, every day of the week. My gas bill was $47 this month. $47 American dollars. wait so so what music do you listen to when you're writing because you you write a lot when i'm writing i will pick like one song and listen to it over and over and really do you think that's on some psycho shit or like it sounds like it sounds like you think i because i listen to the same song over and over and if i love it i will listen to it half the day i think it's like some
Starting point is 00:18:54 psycho shit yes but it's also like specifically when i'm working if i listen to the same song over and over and over again it gets to the point where it's just in my head and i'm not thinking about the song anymore but it's like still stimulating you know you know what song does that for me cautious clay cold have you heard this song no add that to the forever dog can you just put a little clip in there that was my number one most listened to song in 2018 because i just and i'm i find something that i like and i listen to it on a loop but when i'm doing work and stuff i'll be like alexa and i'll ask for like an album and then i'll be like volume six so that i'm not really hearing it and then i've been like volume eight well the thing is is like i live right near
Starting point is 00:19:34 the train so if i need some background noise i got that i got the jack i got the like i can hear it i don't like train noise when i like music like the other day yesterday my my headphones stopped working and i was like fuck i just gotta listen to this dude talk about his cat yeah real loud with his girlfriend i was like oh my god my neighbors think i'm crazy because i will play the same song on the speaker all day what's your what's your favorite song currently uh okay let me let's see it was a mac miller song self-care i like i like mac miller i don't think i've ever listened to any of his songs his his last album was really good and i was like damn i wish i would have got into him before he passed away i mean you know go back to the archives yeah no it was
Starting point is 00:20:21 really i've really self-care yeah self-care i'm adding that it's i feel like that's a vibe song too yeah so put that clip in there too uh forever no we don't have the rights to any of these songs oh that's right you're right you're right uh self-care so we want to talk about uh caucasian bops now when we think of those i think when you said that i thought kid kids bop like i would see those commercials as a kid and it was like it would be these little white voices covering like top 100 songs right so what's your like in your mind what is a Caucasian bop
Starting point is 00:20:53 what's a classic white people song come on Aileen I don't know what that is that's a classic Caucasian bop what's another classic Caucasian bop hey there Delilah Caucasian bops Sweet Caroline
Starting point is 00:21:06 Sweet Caroline it's their back that ass up that's their back I've been trying to like accumulate all of these because they get so unnoticed because they're just like
Starting point is 00:21:21 so like ubiquitous they're just a part of the culture that it's just like we forget about it you know what I mean the Journey
Starting point is 00:21:29 Midnight Train song right right right Don't Stop Believin' is that the name of the song? yeah Don't Stop Believin' that used to be my
Starting point is 00:21:37 go to karaoke song when they play that in the bar or the club it's like it's usually 2.30 2.33am
Starting point is 00:21:46 it's like Is that their candy rain? That means the night is over? Yeah, I think so. It's not all the way over, but it's like you should be rapping your shit. You should have your bitch already. You should have already done like a couple Jägermeister shots. Jägerbomb.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Yeah, Jägerbomb. It's like you shouldn't be just starting your night when you hear that song. You'd have been fucked up if you heard that song and you haven't got it cracking yet. Oh my God, that's so funny. It's true. You should already have your bitch. can that be the title wait that should be merch merch on the t-shirt uh okay so what else like why why are you fans of this music i do some of them i do sincerely
Starting point is 00:22:27 like and then some of them i think are trash but like they're but you like them because they're so bad yeah i like them because they're so bad but i also like calling it a caucasian bop because it like otherizes it in a way that like r&b and like rap have been otherized you know what i mean it makes like mainstream music a special interest and i like doing that you're good at that you're good for that i like um wait go ahead what were you gonna say i was gonna say but what's one that's like trash so you're like how could people ever be on uh board with i feel like queen that song queen what no mama mia mama mia it's too much fucking going like what are we doing i like i I liked that song because I saw the movie and I was like, I guess I like this song now.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I fuck with it. I fuck with Freddie Mercury, but it feels too musical. Like theater. Yeah. It was a night at the opera. Come on, guys. Obviously not dropping it low to that. I mean, white people don't make music for you to drop it low to.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Caucasian bop is just for you to like swing your arms and toss your hair like you in Mykonos. That's what that music is for. Lindsay Lohan loves it. Lindsay Lohan has some bops. That song Bossy. Do you know Bossy? I'm just a little You know what song was a good case about?
Starting point is 00:23:40 Rumors? I'm tired of people talking Wait, wait, wait. Paris Hilton Stars Are Blind. Yes! That's a bop. It was a moment. I was gonna say that's one of those songs that trash. It's a good song.
Starting point is 00:23:55 It's like bonfire. That's what made it so iconic. Iconic, friend. I mean, that's a strong word. It's just weird that it was coming from her that's what i'm saying like she doesn't remind me of like bonfire dawson's creek type shit she don't look like she'll throw like a like a big cable knit like a a summer sweater on and just like curl up in front of a fire no not with that swoop bang so sorry and not not with
Starting point is 00:24:22 that blonde hair that bleach blonde hair no way her brother's having a hard time apparently he's like stalking his ex-girlfriend wendy williams was telling me oh really well it happens his name It was like Connor or something like that. Something trash. It happens. This is the time of year where you're like, you're reflecting. You're like, what my old bitch doing? You know?
Starting point is 00:24:40 Let me check out. Yeah. Let me pull up to the gate at her house. He like tied a teddy bear to the fence and was like, I miss you. And it was like. Uh-uh. No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Okay. Leave the teddy bear on the ground. Don't tie it to the fence. He tied it to the fence. Like he hung it. That's creepy. He threw it. A lot.
Starting point is 00:24:55 A lot. Javooks, you've never been in a situation like that where you're like so in love with somebody that you do a body house with? But I do it digitally, you know? I'll digitally drive by your house. A digital drive-by. You know? Right.
Starting point is 00:25:04 If you have me blocked, I'll create a separate account, you know? Or when your friend goes to the bathroom, you'll just check from your friend's phone. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Exactly. But you've never been like, oh, I know where my ex be hanging out, and I'm just going just casually. Oh, what are you doing here?
Starting point is 00:25:19 No. No? Sydney, that's the behavior you was doing before 2019? No, no, no, no, no. I feel like my exes have done that. Like, they knew that I worked at this spot. What are you doing here? why are you trying to get a job here on top of that yes that definitely happened to me i had an
Starting point is 00:25:34 ex that hit me up like hey wondering if they're hiring over there um they're not hiring because i work here i dj now i waitress and dj no we're good and then he ended up going she don't i don't she was saying that to her ex oh she's like oh i know you dj what's in your catalog Because you're dressed like a DJ right now. A French DJ. Oh my God. Just very casual, but also disheveled. You look like a marvelous Miss Maisel if she was a nigger.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Yeah, but he ended up getting a job there because he knew the manager. He put you down as a reference. Oh my God. And then I had to work while he was DJing. And I was like going up to people. I was like, this music sucks, right? Oh my God. We need to change the mood or the DJ.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Well, was he a good DJ? no okay so he just he was definitely wasn't so he wasn't playing stars are blind at all he was not wow trash oh yeah but he was playing like tv on the radio which is pretty decent and like santo gold and stuff like that but i don't know tv on the radio a little taste a little taste a little taste do you know do you know yeah tv on the radio yeah little muse bush i don't know tv on the radio is that the band do you know the dirty projectors no okay y'all just you just putting two words together and you're like do you know sake microphones i'm like no yeah do you know do you know the flip-flop tantrums no do you know ashy blacks i'm like i know some ashy blacks but
Starting point is 00:26:57 no jabuki how are you how do you find new music because spotify has opened it up so we know that there's literally 500 million artists out there yeah and some people only have that one song but like how do you find new music it's hard i mean everything is so like based on the algorithm them now it's hard to like really naturally find some new shit um mostly just like people recommending stuff to me like all the shit that you said i'm gonna go look up now and then like if i find someone and i really fuck with them i'll look at the like if you like this artist you should also check out this artist yeah i i make sure that my playlist ends and then they start playing other music that i'm all of them and you'll be like oh yeah yes yes oh my god
Starting point is 00:27:41 Spotify I'm like yo you just speak to me like you fucking know me they be knowing certain TV shows have really good soundtracks Insecure is great they put me on there so much so much and then the series was trash
Starting point is 00:27:57 but the playlist was good she's gotta have it on Netflix that was good their music was good on that also I would say if you want to find new music go to Instagram thought models they be twerking to some shit
Starting point is 00:28:12 that you're like what the fuck is this do you guys listen to Megan Thee Stallion no amazing she's amazing Megan Thee Stallion
Starting point is 00:28:21 yeah Megan Thee with two E's Stallion I'm here for a well placed Thee she's great who is she
Starting point is 00:28:28 where is she from what does she look like what's up I think she's from Houston and she's like in college right now but like has bars like is actually
Starting point is 00:28:36 like straight up rapping and it's good you know who also has bars that I really like. Her name is something weird. It's like,
Starting point is 00:28:45 hold on, let me look for it. I'm not ready. I'm not ready. Throw some ASMR background noise in here while I'm looking for this artist.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Megan Thee Stallion. And what about that? What about that thick girl that's from Detroit? What's her name? Sydney, move your mouth from the microphone. You're too close.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Hey, guys. oh you have to actually be saying something oh okay have you i what are you guys like the yin yang twins no this is asmr oh i'm sorry i missed that yo i want to get into that i feel like those people make money they do they make coins bands because it's almost like kink a little bit kink yeah yeah the sensation that it gives people well certain things like when i because you know who helped me discover asmr is cardi b because she did that thing a couple months ago and i was like look is she sucking that microphone and then i looked it up and there's like a bunch of videos on youtube there's playlists all over
Starting point is 00:30:00 spotify and sometimes it's cool but other times like i can hear the spit in their mouths and it's like giving you real ditty vibes ditty vibes where you're like you got a lot going on yeah like we've all met that like hood dude with like that that that damp bottom lip and you're just like oh no you know and they got a lot of gum it's just like why so much gum with the with the white stuff on the corners of their own no no no no no okay wait another thing um what do you listen to when you're sad like how do you find that music i love a ballad i love a ballad when i'm happy yeah i will when i'm sad i listen to a lot of the shit that i listened to when i was a teenager so like emo stuff or like emo rap even like some little oozy cuts are like sad enough
Starting point is 00:30:47 wait who's the other one that has xx you listen to some logic i feel like he'd be making some sad i haven't listened to logic no we have some light skin tension that we need to resolve okay wait why what's going on talk about it it can't be more than two light skin where two or more light skins are gathered it's beef Drake is the overarching light skin I mean he is we answer to him
Starting point is 00:31:08 Drake is a light skin dude but he sometimes has dark skin energy just the way that he talks and then you see him and you're like oh the sad man right here with the beard you say this dark skinned energy I feel like it's always like somebody else is curating that for him
Starting point is 00:31:25 that's not him that's not him that's not him like even when he wears his hoodies and he has his beard I'm like this feels like
Starting point is 00:31:32 very Zara for men like the athleisure wear like it just doesn't feel right it doesn't feel honest it don't sit right with your soul
Starting point is 00:31:42 it doesn't it doesn't feel like well you don't be on the block like it's clear he's obviously not on the block I just love that he decided to be Jamaican in 2015 what is up with that dude
Starting point is 00:31:50 what is that I love that watch all your talk watch your mouth I don't know I don't even it was like your mom is jewish and that's who raised you yeah also jamaicans i don't think go all the way up to canada i feel like they just like no there's no no there's a lot of
Starting point is 00:32:03 caribbeans in toronto yeah a lot is haitians in montreal are there so the jamaicans are just everywhere i think you just saw that like apple jack cinnamon commercial and was like i think cinnamon cinnamon is the winner oh my god okay i'll run with that watch out your dog it was like shut up drake but i actually like it i was like oh work improv okay I do fuck with it sometimes but sometimes it's like okay pull it back
Starting point is 00:32:28 a little bit I love that and that brings me back to high school yo every those dirty basement parties oh my god
Starting point is 00:32:40 what were you doing nobody had those dirty basement parties I mean I remember a house party but you said dirty basement you're from New York right
Starting point is 00:32:47 yeah but I grew up in California so like I'm half and half okay like when I moved to New York people were like
Starting point is 00:32:53 are you on drugs like or what do you want like what are you selling why are you so nice so like i could never like merge into like the new yorker lifestyle the way i wanted yeah because i was like there's a softness in your spirit he's calling you soft i love that i love that it's because i grew up with a backyard and whatnot i had three big wheels so i had a childhood three big wheels three big wheels but you only what three girl rich like hand me down they just can't get in you one was an heirloom one was a classic classic for my great great great grand cousin um there's a softness in your spirit thank you that's that's the name of uh jabuki's comedy album
Starting point is 00:33:34 i love it i love it oh my god i sound like some weird ass pastor talking to someone as they like walk up to the stage to get saved yeah okay well come on there's a softness in your spirit
Starting point is 00:33:48 yeah it's like can you not touch me while you're saying that and I'm gonna need you to take that softness and put it in your pocket and pull out whatever
Starting point is 00:33:55 money you have soft money not the coins not the hoes did y'all did y'all grow up in church yes yes
Starting point is 00:34:01 church has the bops church has the bops they do okay what's your go to like what's your favorite church song we lift our hands in the sanctuary
Starting point is 00:34:09 we give you all the glory Oh, my God, yeah. And we will praise him for the rest of our days. Yes, yes. I grew up in a white church, so we didn't sing that. It was a lot of, hark the herald angels sing. Was it Pentecostal?
Starting point is 00:34:28 Yeah, it was Pentecostal. Pentecostal white. What was that like? Did they talk in tongues ever? Yeah, they did. Really? Yeah. I've never seen.
Starting point is 00:34:35 It was black people there. Oh, okay, so it was mixed. So it was mixed, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. So the people preaching were white, but everybody else was black. Mm-hmm. Wow. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Everybody else was not black. It was mainly, I mean, we were black, obviously. But Haitian. Haitian. So, yeah. There was only one white person at our church. There's a difference, though. Really?
Starting point is 00:34:51 Brother Shuckard. Brother Shuckard. That sounds like a fake name. That doesn't even sound real. That was his name. That was dead ass his name. Was his first name like Ted? Tedwards?
Starting point is 00:34:59 Tedwards. Tedwards Shuckard. Shuckard? Tedwards Shuckard. I grew up in a Baptist church. So service was like nine hours long. Yo, it was so long. And then people would be sleeping and then wake back up.
Starting point is 00:35:11 The hats would be like falling off. But the choir would be lit. There was a celestial choir, and then there was another choir. What's a celestial choir? They do it by the stars? The celestial choir was very like Kirk Franklin and the family. Do you want a revolution? Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:26 People would be like, that's when people would wake up from their nap. They're like, oh, okay, yes. They would sing Stomp. That's when they would pass the collection plate, because people would have energy. Like, oh, I'm in a good mood now. If I'm dancing, I'm not reaching to my wallet. you gotta hit me for another song
Starting point is 00:35:44 when Silent Night come on and you're gonna hit me for that so yeah that's great I'm here for that when I was talking
Starting point is 00:35:52 about like sad songs you know the Smiths yes that is like ooh depression on depression yes oh my god
Starting point is 00:36:00 saddest song that I have ever heard in recent memory Sydney's DJ Swoon put me on too Swoon wasn't playing it she was just talking
Starting point is 00:36:09 to me about it And it's a whiskey lullaby. This sad country. Do you F with country ever? I'm country adjacent. I haven't gotten into country. Okay. So you're not really like a song with a story.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Like a Carrie Underwood. There's a beginning and a middle and an end. Wait, what's this? Whiskey lullaby is, is two white people singing. I think they both have on cowboy hats and it's, it starts. How does the song start? It was like, he called her faint or something like that. okay take your time now take your time now okay i might have to add this to the
Starting point is 00:36:46 whiskey lullaby is about a couple and they break up and he drinks himself to death oh okay after he dies she hears about it and she it was like uh she put the bottle of whiskey to her head and pulled the trigger and it's like what it's crazy so they both drink themselves to death and then they bury them under some oak tree next to each other what so sad but i'll be on the train like oh my god you never know what people on the train are listening to because you might think it's something real hard and then it's whiskey lullaby by brad paisley well whatever train i'm on the j train it's always somebody who doesn't have headphones on and has big ass speakers and like everybody needs to hear this song we're all gonna listen to meek mill shout for 10 minutes
Starting point is 00:37:34 oh my god that's that one song that's like he's screaming all the songs you know I bought it in a minute
Starting point is 00:37:40 in a minute in a minute Meek Mill is whatever the opposite of ASMR is it's like are you calling out to someone
Starting point is 00:37:52 what is going on so what how do you feel about like pop music right now like where you at like how do you feel
Starting point is 00:37:58 about Ariana Grande okay she's doing good stuff I like her I think that do you think she could really sing like what yes i feel like she's gives it gives me like hamilton vibes like you know hamilton
Starting point is 00:38:11 like stage you mean like there's not soul yeah like you know the technique okay like but it's not really in you i could see that i could she's flawlessly killing the technique yes yes yes but like in terms of soul sometimes i am like i feel like most of the i feel like most pop music like right now is that though like it used to be because people are not writing their music anymore that's what the problem is yeah when you write your songs like they you feel how sad they are the ad libs be on point you those feel real even like when people do ad libs now it's written yeah for them and it's like oh that i don't believe that like that doesn't even feel real to me and listeners go to any mary j blige album you know that bitch is hurt like she has been
Starting point is 00:38:55 through it you feel that her fantasia jennifer hudson you know what i think is another thing though and this is why i brought up church is because people aren't raised in church anymore right and that's where you like all these sinners dropping singles yeah yeah these heathens a lot of people music a lot of people haven't been touched you know okay yeah but that's why like these people like somebody was talking about tanasha on twitter the other day and i was like i don't know a single tanasha song what is that i love to get on i love it yeah but i like that music doesn't like i don't feel anything that's true right she had that song like britney spears Britney Spears is a robot in the studio
Starting point is 00:39:32 too like she you know she doesn't feel anything that she's singing I think she was the queen or the princess of Caucasian bop in her time like every song was and you were like yes when she came out with I'm a slave I was like oh she didn't
Starting point is 00:39:47 took it to another motherfucking level that video yeah is that the one with the snake yes and she's in all those men that video turned me gay I think yeah that video toxic was a little bop yeah like but You know that she's so above the curve because she's like, let me talk about being a slave. And then have niggas sing that song in public.
Starting point is 00:40:11 She made people want to get snakes. Yeah, she did. That's like a whole other level of influence. She put boa constrictors back on the map. They were extinct and she brought them back to life. She resuscitated pythons. Then you were like seeing niggas in the hoods. Why do you have a boa constrictor?
Starting point is 00:40:27 You live in the projects. okay and that's what you'd be seeing them they'd be like you want to get a picture you gotta pay me money yes oh my god so she encouraged small businesses yeah an entrepreneur entrepreneurship exactly yeah i mean what did christina aguilera do she just like had that dirty video and then she did the um the beautiful so that's basically like her tlc pretty yeah yeah pretty yeah remember that song you make me feel unpretty too yeah but i like the way the song starts she goes don't look at me it's so wonderful right don't look at me okay did you think that song was better than tlc unpretty no i mean message was different it's different vibes though i feel like they were
Starting point is 00:41:16 copying tlc you know that's a different vibe than um beautiful what's the vibe the christine aguilera beautiful song is just like you know for like that sad kid okay i guess they're both for sad kids yeah you know what else was another bop in the same range as beautiful break away kelly clarkson break yes but uplifting uplifting though you know it's like i see that you're sad I'm going to match you. I'm going to learn how to play. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I do what I do. Yes. My voice is so fucked up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I tried to hit it. I tried to. You're trying to do a little buckle fry. You're holding your ear.
Starting point is 00:41:59 You're like, I can hear it. It's coming. It's coming. Speaking of Caucasians, remember, okay, so there's a video that was going around on Instagram for like the last month of Jessica Simpson and Ashley Simpson singing Little Drummer Boy. Have y'all seen this terrible video? Oh, it is so tragic. It's tragic.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Perfect video. but that's what it is it's like first of all holiday songs are hard they're very hard and that's why Mariah Carey
Starting point is 00:42:20 has capitalized nobody wants to take it over because it's so difficult people want to take it over no one else's song is like hitting us the way All I Want For Christmas Is You
Starting point is 00:42:30 is because everybody every artist that does pop music has a Christmas album and every R&B artist I feel like has a Christmas album
Starting point is 00:42:38 now everybody has a Christmas album name an artist and then I'll scream Christmas album in your face Beyonce christmas album destiny's child had that eight days of christmas they did christmas album that

Starting point is 00:44:11 gonna pull up they don't listen to unofficial experts so I'm fine no they do hey Raj they be listening I just feel like
Starting point is 00:44:19 okay we get it like all I want for Christmas it's just it's triggering for me it's like what if you're not a holiday person
Starting point is 00:44:29 okay so why are you listening to the song blue okay she said close your ears I want to hear some like Chestnuts roasting on an open fire That's a holiday song
Starting point is 00:44:38 Classics Classics Oh you're like maybe it's cold outside Like some Nat King cold type Chestnuts You know I just want somebody blind Singing a fucking holiday bop That's what I want
Starting point is 00:44:52 Okay Well let's talk about sex bops Do you have a go to Sex bops Yes I know you do young king Because sex in silence is weird to me I hate the

Starting point is 00:45:59 his music doesn't match his face sometimes i don't want to see the person who's singing the song because it makes the song different sid sid is one sid is legendary for that because it's like sid you hear her voice you're like okay lesbian and then you see her like okay queen latifah No, not even. People are like, okay, Ray J. I'm telling you. Now, okay, do you think people are hooking up to a whole album? I don't believe that.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I feel like two songs in, you done. Oh, my God, Black. Six L-A-C-K. It has great music for you to be. Two. The Hoodrat. I don't have a hood rat Sex playlist
Starting point is 00:46:50 I've done Control before Control has worked for me before She's sad though It's just like bitch get your own man Get your own man Stop fucking your own nigga Just stop like girl you're too pretty for this Every time I hear her sing I'm like
Starting point is 00:47:06 Her songs don't match what she is Like you can do better SZA? Yeah but also SZA's voice Is not SZA's voice live don't match what the album is giving
Starting point is 00:47:20 yeah the live I'd be like SZA you sick again yeah do you have health care she's like I need more tea
Starting point is 00:47:26 more tea on stage with the honey and the lemon yeah but that's the thing about music right is some like a lot of people
Starting point is 00:47:33 I will never want to see live because it's just it's not first of all I'm never paying money to see a rap concert live oh I'm all set they not giving me
Starting point is 00:47:39 what I need I need like production I need a show I need production value a reason why you're not just at home listening to it Listening to you and your six friends shout into a microphone
Starting point is 00:47:48 with the track in the back. Blood Orange. You fucked up Blood Orange? Yes, yes. That's another good, a perfect sex movie. Blood Orange is like, oh, we fucking,
Starting point is 00:47:57 and then we probably, we might talk after this. We might talk. It's gonna be some cuddling. Yeah, some cuddling. A little dialogue. A little dialogue. Tell me a secret or two.
Starting point is 00:48:06 I don't know. Sex so good, you're like, pillow talk. Blood Orange is that like, hand tucked under the ear looking right at you. Direct eye contact. It's like,
Starting point is 00:48:15 oh, do you want to just open up a book and just read it out loud let's do it so what was your family like growing up yeah I don't know
Starting point is 00:48:21 you don't have to rush out of here it's fine do you bust back a TBT like a Jodeci yes yes cause it's important
Starting point is 00:48:28 to know your roots to know where you came from that's how we got here yeah H. Child nobody rockin' knockin' your boots I even have some
Starting point is 00:48:38 some John B. on there don't listen to what people say they don't want Okay, how many songs is on your sex playlist? It sounds like a lot. A lot.
Starting point is 00:48:48 A decent amount. I would say maybe like 50-something right now. But I update it every once in a while. Right, right, right, right. How do we feel about Galant? He has a song called Gentleman, and he's like, I'm going to treat you like a gentleman. It's very good. Add it.
Starting point is 00:49:00 G-A-L-L-A-N-T. No, I don't know. Gentleman. Fabulous. Do it. And the rapper that I was thinking about was Tierra Whack when y'all was talking about Megan Thee Stallion. Tierra Whack is another rapper.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Okay, I'll check her out. She got some bars and her music is fun. Ooh, you know who else? Her. Love me some Her. Yep. Her is good. I like her.
Starting point is 00:49:17 And she can sing live. Can you focus on me? And I love that she has her glasses on the whole time. I'm like... She wants you to focus on her. Yeah. And I feel like she's the one that will have sex with her glasses on. No, she don't do that.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Her glasses are her Sia wig. Like, Sia don't wear that wig when she's with her friends. She just wears it like... I know. She wears it when she's pumping gas. Yeah. That's her, like, invisibility cloak. How do you feel about Sia?
Starting point is 00:49:42 that's a white lady that she be writing and she be making she got bops she got bops and she's written many bops for other people too right
Starting point is 00:49:49 I have to respect Sia right you gotta respect people who can write music for people that we like okay but who is the queen of Caucasian bop like everything is like
Starting point is 00:49:58 you know when she touches it it's gonna be like oh we all we all for it queen of Caucasian bops wow that's so hard you know who was the queen
Starting point is 00:50:09 of Caucasian bops for like a year Gwen Stefani yes she had a moment B-A-N-A-N-A-S I was like word bananas
Starting point is 00:50:17 she had cool she had rich girl it was like I think 2005 I think well she also remember she had like the Asian girls
Starting point is 00:50:24 as accessories for a while yeah the Juku girls she was like these are my plus 12s but very problematic like I don't think she can bring them out now no no no
Starting point is 00:50:32 if that album came out today it would be trash it would be destroyed people would tear it apart for sure oh you're not here for some friends
Starting point is 00:50:40 some people as accessories no um uh fergie i feel like fergie had the fergie did i never got on the fergie train but you know there's so many different kinds of caucasian bops but if i had to reduce it to one person i would say adele she's really got the like sweater wearing like shawl wearing yeah she got the like twirling a glass of wine yeah like she's got that caucasian audience on lock and like I mean Adele is somebody who writes her music and you believe what she's saying like the first two albums
Starting point is 00:51:13 like the second two albums you hear them and you're just like yes sis he heard both of us he cheated on both of us do we need to pull up on his job let's go nevermind I'll find someone and you're like you won't find someone like him every time she drops something
Starting point is 00:51:29 the blocks of the cul-de-sac are hot she has the streets on fire she got the soccer mom vans just full of tears you know who also I love what's his name James Blake I don't know
Starting point is 00:51:42 about my dream okay he's crossed it's almost not even a Caucasian bop at that point he's worked with so many black artists
Starting point is 00:51:49 and he's so respected and he grew up in the church yeah and he grew up in church he's damn near closed find you a white boy that grew up in church
Starting point is 00:51:57 listen I found out about James Blake the first time I hooked up with my girlfriend I cried I definitely cried what song was playing do you remember
Starting point is 00:52:04 which song it was I think it was like a Wilhelm scream that's my jam I was like you wanna talk after talk after that you wanna get some coffee
Starting point is 00:52:15 no actually I was like in a fetal position like oh my god you're like I don't know about my dreams yeah I was like I don't have a white people playlist but I feel like I should yeah it's a mood I feel like I should let's see what what they trying to give me
Starting point is 00:52:34 What about our producer? You got anything, Alex, you got anything? He's going to be like, Creed. That's on your playlist? He's going to be like, with arms wide open. Well, you got like the older ones. You got like the Billy Joels. Billy Joels.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Yeah, Billy Joels. Okay, so Piano Man is my jam. Yeah. I like that song. Also, there's another Billy Joels song that I like, but I can't remember what it is. Okay, who else? You got like your Billy Joels, your Bruce Springsteen.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Okay, I don't know a single Springsteen song. No, I don't know a Bruce Springsteen. So you have that in the classic sense. Okay. And then you got Boney Bear Boney Bear is like James Blake
Starting point is 00:53:08 Boney Bear He's worked with Kanye a lot But he definitely Has the Mason jar Like love to retreat To the wood White people audience
Starting point is 00:53:15 It's Boney Bear Not Bonnie Bear Not Bon Iver I was saying Bon Iver For the longest time See Just culturalness Bon Iver
Starting point is 00:53:25 That feels wrong Oh you know Who I was fucking With hard U2 U2 I feel like Oh

Starting point is 00:54:24 Have you ever been In an elevator And you're like Shazam I gotta shazam this I love me some Elevator music yeah like like a like a like you like some bachelor pad like yeah what's that what's that
Starting point is 00:54:37 is it bittersweet what it might be a group called bittersweet let me look on my spotify i think i feel like i have them on here bittersweet no but i love the elevator to me i don't want you but i need you i love you i hate you at the very same time i love that we both knew that i love that song kanye vibe oh i know and it's not even i don't even think it's on a kanye album no you gotta find that shit on youtube kanye and uh john mayor yes john ho ass mayor that's his middle name ho ass john h mayor exactly you guys have a love connection i see it well i like songs like that like i like that other kanye song um gone with uh cameron yeah Yeah, that's one of his best.
Starting point is 00:55:25 I love that song. That's one of his best. That's one of my favorite Kanye West songs. And now I don't listen to him, so. Yeah, he's definitely canceled. Are you down with the cancellation of? It's like, it was easy to cancel him because I just stopped liking his music. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:39 He stopped trying. Yeah, he stopped trying. The music just got weird. And people are like, you don't get it. This is art. And it's like, this is bad music. When did you fall off? When was the cutoff point for you?
Starting point is 00:55:50 After Beautiful. Dark Twisted? Dark Twisted. what album what album came out after that yeezus yeah i didn't even really i didn't even see i was rocking with him on yeezus i was like fully i was there i was with him i saw him at governor's ball when he was premiering some of the tracks and there were people leaving the audience when he was like playing i am a god and shit like that yeah see that's i'm not here for i'm a god black skinhead new slaves i'm like i'm not here for any of these songs it was very like edgy but that album
Starting point is 00:56:20 was like yo you've done molly like for a whole month and you're feeling like oh i'm creative i'm about to i'm about to hit a new wall right yeah so i mean i also i mean i came back for life of pablo with some bops on that yeah and then i and then i left after life of pablo was when i was like okay yeah it's time yeah you're talking about yay and kids see ghost yeah yeah some of the tracks on kids see ghost were good i love cuddy i like cuddy me too but whenever i would listen to cuddy i was like damn he definitely used to be a coke head like i just filled the remnants of really his music is so like emo it's like black emo coke i'm telling you dude i've been there man i'm like yo man he definitely hung out at avenue too much
Starting point is 00:57:04 i'm on the pursuit of happiness and i know and okay uh movie with the best soundtrack that you're like yo movie with the best soundtrack that's hard that like we didn't prepare for that yeah before we got here what were you gonna say waiting to excel that was a good soundtrack oh wait no black panther had a good soundtrack i feel like the black panther soundtrack was solid um who else i feel like movies don't have good soundtracks anymore that's what it is yeah yeah it's just like it's not as much of like an event yeah i'll tell you a show that had a good soundtrack uh entourage used to have a good soundtrack really wow i'm blown away okay i'm blown away that you watch entourage yeah me too when i'm at my mom's house and it you know it
Starting point is 00:57:49 comes on tbs i'd be like let me sound hound let me sound cloud this the edited version where it's like 17 minutes because i got a sensor yeah yeah yeah yeah but i i like i like something like i feel like that's a job that i would love to be able to do like to know music so like so well that I'm just doing the music for a TV show, that sounds like an amazing thing to be able to do. It was Raphael Sadiq and Solange were on Insecure, and I felt it. I felt it.
Starting point is 00:58:16 I was like, these are great vibes. And they only do black artists on Insecure. I don't know if you peeped. Every time I listened to the soundtrack, I was like, I need to go grease my scalp. I need to put oil all over my body, right? And moisturize. We're talking about Caucasian bops,
Starting point is 00:58:33 and I haven't even mentioned Miley Cyrus. Wow. okay iconic just for the fact that she started cultural appropriation like dialogue you think she didn't start it but she capitalized no yeah no one called it out until she was doing it with like at the vmas and everything when she was twerking yeah because they were like they were saying that she invented twerking right and all the people were like oh that's not that's not even what that is yeah well because she goofy that's what it is it's like you twerking like that your haircut is awful the body is blah like trash no like i feel like um what's her name what's her
Starting point is 00:59:07 name um azalea iggy iggy was kind of appropriating as well yeah iggy and she got a completely different she got a black scent right she was like in costume oh yeah she was like a full beige black face yeah she got a whole new body that's the thing is that they never go full black they always go fake light skin fake but you know what fake light skin was justin bieber's best phase he was giving us bops when he was light skinned and I honestly wanted him to be fake light skinned what are your favorite beaver
Starting point is 00:59:37 beaver bops the fact that he was light skinned he had a light skinned phase this is new what were your cosplaying as those like Chipotle bag light skinned dudes you know that have like so many tattoos Chipotle bag light skinned okay okay
Starting point is 00:59:53 this is great you know Kwok is extra so many lines in this episode today where are you now iconic you can't where are you now that i need you yeah i feel like david guetta has like a remix to that yeah like it's totally house music-esque but that's the thing these white artists when they get with a black producer like timbaland built justin timberlake yes because from the ground up from clay from the from his rib he broke off a rib and then made justin timberlake just a powder like a little like he built him up
Starting point is 01:00:33 and people don't even like know their music history because they just think that he went straight from n-sync to like bomb ass music and it's like no this black dude made him yeah well he was wearing cornrows before timberlake let's let's talk about it now he had the corn he was he had the avarex jacket and sink was trashed he was wearing vanson wow i had uh i had avarex sneakers in high school i had an avarex hoodie i used to wear that shit every day my sneakers had two laces yeah it had a black lace and a white lace oh my god justin was wearing some pella pella jeans i definitely know i've seen the face y'all remember those avisu jeans that had like samurai in the back flashing her pussy and everybody in
Starting point is 01:01:15 hood was wearing those for a while no do you remember those was that was that popping when all the dudes were wearing like the kimono dragon shirts yes yeah with the dragons yes i love those honestly i want to bring those back somebody at the bodega in front of me had it on the other day and i took so many photos and the girls were wearing sergio valente jeans remember those no they sound like uh like the shiny iceberg jeans no it kind of has like the um arizona iced tea print that's on the can. They had them on the jean. Oh, like hibiscus
Starting point is 01:01:46 flowers? No, it's just like it seems like very Arizonian type. Did you have gerbos? Gerbos. Do we know how to say gerbos? Is it gerbo? Gerbo? Gerbald. It's what?
Starting point is 01:02:03 Gerbo. I said gerbo. Gerbald. I had the puffy jacket. I stole somebody's jacket. and wore it all through high school. You're about, you're about. Okay, well, I feel like, you know, we hit all points in this episode today,
Starting point is 01:02:20 but I definitely want to see, what's your five last songs that you played on your Spotify list? Five last songs? Five last songs? Sydney, that's such a weird number. How do I find that? Yeah, how does one find that?
Starting point is 01:02:30 The last five songs on your playlist. Sorry, I might have said it backwards. On my Caucasian Bop playlist? Or just that I've listened to recently? Last five artists that you're listening to, maybe? Listen, okay. Okay. Are we all doing this?
Starting point is 01:02:42 How do you feel about Lorde? Lorde? She's got bobs. She's got bobs. Talent. Pop talent. I like her. I just want her to have a snack.
Starting point is 01:02:50 She just seemed hangry. She's sad and she needs a sandwich. You know? You know, it's hard being 21. Yeah, right. Okay, I'll give you my last five. Okay. Santa Gold, Cuckoo Coo.

Starting point is 01:03:40 Window. And did you say Sophie? Yeah. Who's Sophie? Like this electronic pop artist. It's really good. It's like early Britney Spears, but like on crack. Oh.
Starting point is 01:03:50 So really just early Britney Spears. Yeah. Is it like when you walk into Armani Exchange, that song might be playing? No, it would be like. Who is walking into Armani Exchange in 2019? come on and when you go into a diesel store
Starting point is 01:04:06 and they have a DJ playing it would be like opening ceremony probably maybe even like Balenciaga okay see we got money
Starting point is 01:04:12 when you walk into a Balenciaga I'm like no I am not in Soho on Lafayette I'm like remember when you go into
Starting point is 01:04:21 Buffalo Exchange is this what we'll be playing at a Forever 21 right he's like no Balenciaga okay so my last five are
Starting point is 01:04:29 Cardi B money her i have amber oliver um big sean oh so sorry and uh so sorry and rihanna classic what rihanna song woo i like i feel like rihanna makes good music for somebody who can't sing um but her music is enjoyable yeah i enjoy listening to her yeah but she don't like you she not writing none of that no she's barely singing it yeah if you see rihanna live like she might maybe be too high to perform yeah but you know she's fun rihanna's that like popular girl in high school you're like
Starting point is 01:05:13 i i don't see what she's doing but i kind of get it she just coasting through the four years yeah she'll never be in class but she like she'd be serving looks her locker is always where everybody's hanging out the looks the the look icon is like really her role i feel like right every time she's changed her hair it's been just a trend for the next five years yeah and then you see bitches with i'm like you don't have a remember the asymmetrical box yes everybody was running around getting the umbrella box the cherry red hair that was the star neck tattoos too no not even the remember she got this on her finger everybody went and got that and then like the roman numerals on their shoulder listen everything rihanna's doing people are copying yeah i'm like
Starting point is 01:05:56 Remember when Beyonce had them short Harajuku bags? That must have been when Jay-Z was cheating. That's when she lost us. That's when I was like, Beyonce can't do everything. Well, Beyonce's street style is not good. No. She don't dress well. She's not in the streets, too.
Starting point is 01:06:12 I mean, but when you see her walk from the car to wherever she go in, it'll be right from the runway, but it'll be like, it looks exactly like how they had it on, except you have hips. do they come in a size 8 set shout out to the BHA Jaboukie this has been
