Hey.
Hi, guys.
Oh, my God. It's Sydney.
And Marie.
And this is the Unofficial Expert.
We are. We're math smart, yo.
yeah we are yeah we are and we're here to uh test other people who think they're smart in
all fields various of foolishness in various fields of foolishness yes we're trying to see
how smart people are and then we want to show them that they're not as smart as they think
they are sometimes oh maybe they are maybe they are let's not be so negative okay well
good cop bad cop yes you are definitely bad cop all day what i was trying to say that you were
bad cop what that's crazy bitch you got nerve that's not like a bad cop i don't even curse
speaking of good cop marie what were you a good expert at this week uh this week i was an expert
at living my best life because i yelled at a white woman on the train um and i was like oh i think i'm
ready to die so i'm obviously an expert at living on the edge because i could have got shot are you
serious yes i yelled at a white lady because she she was trying to get on before i got off
so i yelled at her she had like one of those like triple wide strollers so she you know she was
she had the wig on and the hat on top of the wig and there was like a wig on top of the hat it was
a lot happening and i was like i'm trying to get off if if i can't get off you can't get on and
her and like all her babies is like shira and like please don't be disrespectful what she was
being disrespectful when she accosted me with her triple wide stroller okay wrap it up ladies
where are you gonna have so many people not liking us today i'm pretty sure jewish women don't listen
to this podcast they will my demographic they will you can't don't be don't be negative what
is really wrong with my mic sounds like you're an expert at not fully plugging in your microphone
this week i feel like yeah no but have you seen that you see people do that all the time like
like when you're coming when someone's coming out you're supposed to wait for them so you can get in
anything off the bus into a building not new not new new york oh well i'm like that if somebody
holds if i hold the door for you you have to say thank you or i'm pulling you back and shutting
the door in your face i'm an expert at being polite until you disrespect me right i say please
i say thank you i'm one of these people who says sorry a lot i'm like oh sorry sorry sorry do you
sorry yes in social situations i'm like oh sorry but i'm trying to wean myself off of that i only
say sorry when i'm sorry now i don't and i ain't sorry i hear you say sorry that much because i'm
not sorry i ain't sorry i actually don't even know how the song goes but you know what i mean
what were you an expert at this week starting up random conversations
in the uber pool so you were like a jehovah's witness in the uber pool
huh yeah i was starting up conversations that led to me plugging our show okay plugging the
things that are happening in my life okay so you how many uber pools did you take this week
about 10 what yeah 10 ubers this week yes this is why you ain't got no money you're an expert at not
saving money i had five dollars uber pool okay in the city five ten dollars that's fifty dollars
well i had to take one leaving work how much did that uber cost
16 16 okay boom that was on monday now run me through the rest of the uber pools how much was
the most expensive one you're an expert in getting all in my business all of my finances i'm trying
to let you know that you need to be a little bit wiser with your money as a representative
of the unofficial expert, okay?
Because we don't have, like, a budget, okay?
Listen, the Uber pools is for my story,
so basically it's towards my career of betterment.
Because the less...
It's art.
The more Uber pools you take,
the less petty cash you have for Marie here on the show.
Oh, my God.
Who gonna buy these sandwiches now?
That's why you don't have no sandwiches today.
We don't have craft services.
We don't have no yogurt.
We have a yogurt from last week.
We have an old ass moldy yogurt.
I'm like, is this granola?
No, I think that's mold.
I spent $20 on a regular yellow cap today.
You're terrible.
I'm doing really bad.
I did walk.
I walked 15 blocks.
But you still paid $20 and then you walked the rest of the way?
Because the devil is always working.
Oh, yes.
The devil also has a savings and a checking account.
Do you have those things?
No, you don't.
I have a checking.
you have a checking account yes i do at uh city bank that sounds terrible they email me and they
say oh you know it's so glad that you're like been banking with us and i was like have i really
been banking with y'all have you you got no money for them with them i mean i'll be having these
direct deposit checks but i haven't had like a big check deposited in such a long time that's
you ain't got no money because you're spending all your coins on uber pools you see that full
second uh so sydney is obviously an expert at not being that smart and i'm an expert at also
not being that smart because that white lady could have gotten me killed and if you died
then it would just be the unofficial expert with sydney washington and i feel like that sounds
pretty good but people would be like but she kind of dumb though so i don't know if i want to listen
to this she dumb and where's her friend with the good radio voice that would be me
anywho today we have a great guest oh we have a great guest i'm so excited to bring in this guest
okay so can i introduce him this is my uh my youngest cousin but also he really is an expert
in what we've called him in for today today we have andrew mcgill how you doing i see you working
on that voice, that WBLS voice.
It sounds pretty sexy.
That smooth voice.
Yes, that's like middle of the dial.
That's a 95, 98.7.
98.7.
Back to you.
Ooh, that sounds really good.
So Andrew is actually my cousin.
He's my youngest cousin.
He the baby, but he's a grown-ass man, right, Andrew?
You're grown.
He looks very grown.
His beard just grew in this year.
I got a beard.
His beard is giving me Rick Ross freeway vibes.
I love it.
I'm adulting real hard
So
Adulting
Trying to figure out my life
Your eyes are very brown today
What is going
Going on
You trying to trap
An old bitch tonight
That's what you are
Brown trapping ass eyes
And you got a
Honey contact soon
Nah
You got the true blends
Nah these my eyes
These my eyes
Do you have a true blends
Foxy brown
Inga
Type eye
Eye contact in right now
Andrew
Let's just
Let's go
Just look at what Andrew
Got on right now
Because I feel like
People need to see
With their ears right now
Hold on, Marie.
Can you just introduce him as whatever expert he is first?
Well, I'm going from head to toe, and then we're going to get his hat.
I was going to go head to toe.
What kind of expert is he?
Andrew is our, Andrew got, Andrew, what are you?
Like an employed, consistently got mad weird jobs expert.
I have a, I'm an expert in having a lot of jobs.
Staying, no, having a lot of jobs.
Yeah, having a lot of jobs.
I got a lot of weird
Some are weird
Some are cool
Well I see you have
On a Sweet Chick hat right now
So Sweet Chick is
Sweet Chick is a restaurant
In the Lower East Side
And Bedford Ave
Are we doing a Sweet Chick plug?
No
You didn't have to get the address
You didn't have to
Sweet
This is now sponsored by
Sweet Chick's
It's a chicken and waffles restaurant
That's a Sweet Chick
But there's a Jordan logo on it
So it's a Jordan logo
But he's holding a chicken
And a waffle
I'm gonna tell Sweet Chick
No
Sweet Chick better not
They better not
I don't like that merchandise at all
I want them to do better
I thought it was a skinny DJ Khaled
I was like
No
So Andrew
What do you do
As Sweet Chick
So I used to
Bus and host
At Sweet Chick
Okay
Bus and host
They normally
Don't let the bus
Or speak to people
They like
Get back in the kitchen
Get your ass
Back in the kitchen
So you're
You're two and one
But you're only
Getting paid for one
Yeah I don't work
There anymore
Oh
So we can shit on
But I'm still
I'm still on the roster
I'm still on the roster
But I'm not playing
Oh so you're
Doing this all wrong
Yeah I'm on the bench
I'm not
What do you mean
You're not working
There right now
You like pick up shifts
If you need to
If they need someone there
They're like
yo we're gonna keep you here so they'll call you last minute on a sunday at 8 p.m like right before
they close we need a host right now but andrew's got to stay on the roster so he can come in
whenever he's downtown so he can pick up some chicken and waffles okay if you're not on the
roster you can't get the hook up now is that from the place of the box of chicken that you gave us
from at that comedy no no that was a different can we can we take it back so sydney and i had
We were at a comedy show at the Ace Hotel in Manhattan.
Andrew was at the show, too.
He runs out.
He sends me a message.
He's like, yo, Marie, do you want some chicken?
I got some chicken.
I was like, you legit just left.
He's like, I got chicken.
Come get it.
I come outside.
Andrew is holding a crate of chicken.
It was actually a box.
It was like a U-Haul mover's box full of chicken.
It was supposed to be things like your ex-boyfriend's shit that you don't want anymore.
That's what should have been in the box.
But instead it was just chicken
I was at a previous engagement
No you weren't
Don't call it an engagement
Be honest
Because you were with us
And then you left
And two minutes later
You had a crate of chicken
Wait be honest
What is this
Engagement
It was a graduation party
And the kid's mother was like
Yo take this chicken
That's racist
And you took the chicken
I took all the chicken
There's more
There are more boxes of chicken
It was like a box of Kmart
Frozen chicken
But it was cooked
But it was all breast and thighs
And it was like, ain't no wings
Ain't no drumsticks
I don't like breast and thighs
And I actually left the box at my friend's house
So you took it from your friend's house and then you brought it back to your friend's house?
No, I brought it to someone else's house and I just left it there
Now let's talk about how we ate the chicken in the street
Yes, like a bunch of scavenger-ass Negro
Chicken was good, it was good chicken
It was I
Okay, so you had a job at Sweet Chick
Now where are you employed right now?
Oh, so I work at a law firm down on Wall Street right now
When did that happen?
So wait, let's talk about his outfit.
You weren't there today.
No, I start my new job tomorrow.
But this is not what you're wearing tomorrow.
No, I actually have to shave a little bit of this beard.
Just please don't wear this outfit ever again.
I feel like we need to tell.
Angela has on light gray sweatshorts.
Yes, sweatshorts.
Not sweatpants, sweatshorts.
Sweatshorts.
You know, teach your own.
It's a heather gray, like thin terrycloth.
Very thin.
A jogging short
The material is nice
It's very good material
And then he has a white t-shirt
It's very Target
It's giving me like a Kmart
That's what you do when you got money baby
I'm a mom
I'm a mom in Kansas City
I have like two kids
And I'm going to the store
They look like sleep shorts
Like you woke up and forgot you had to do this today
And then you ran out the house in your pajamas
With a sweet chick hat
Those are like the Victoria's Secret's like semi-annual sale throwaway.
Yeah, so let's get back to what I do.
I'm an expert.
Had a lot of jobs.
I'm going to start off with the first job I had.
Okay, start off.
Wait, how many jobs have you had?
From right now, 15.
15.
15 jobs in how many years?
What, 2007?
You had 15 jobs in nine years?
Nine years, 15 jobs.
That's pretty...
Cindy, 15 jobs.
15 jobs?
Yeah.
But he's not a temp.
He'd just be working...
Okay, let's go through the list.
Okay.
What's the first job you've ever had?
First job I ever had,
I was working at this place
called Lord's Bakery.
Oh, you was baking.
You was whipping that work?
At Flatbush.
I was a...
You was making beef patties.
I was a cashier.
Patty cake, patty cake.
I worked there for a week
because they thought
I sold $100 from the register.
Did you?
No, I just counted
the register wrong.
I literally just counted
I could see that.
I could totally see that.
I could see you completely
counting $100 off.
How off were you? $100 off.
Just $100? And they thought I stole it.
Just $100? At a bakery?
Yeah, they need that money. They ain't got no money.
They need that money.
They need that money. So what kind of stuff did they have?
It was like pies and cakes and stuff? It was pies and cakes.
It was nasty. The place got a B, so we had to
kill flies. You know, we don't have time for that.
We don't have time for no Bs.
Yeah, that's disgusting. You know, I saw a video,
a news report once.
They had like undercover
footage at a Junior's Cheesecake
factory or whatever. Oh, Junior's is
Junior's? Absolutely.
And there were roaches and rats
running between the cakes on display.
It's basura. I've never had
Junior's cheesecake after I saw that.
I've had it before, though. Was it good?
Not, like, to be making a big
deal about it. But you thought, like, those
chocolate drops were good? It was just rat drops.
Okay. It felt very, like,
boxed. Boxed cheesecake.
Well, I mean, if both daddies eat cheesecake.
Okay. Lord's Bakery actually has
really good cheesecake. But it's disgusting.
Okay, so after Lord's Bakery, they thought you stole $100, which you did take?
Which I didn't.
I didn't take the $100.
You just couldn't count?
I just couldn't count.
Well, then he went to school in Brooklyn.
Oh, no.
Okay, well, yeah.
Shout out to Midwood.
Shout out to Midwood.
Yeah, yeah.
So then after the bakery job, what did you do?
I worked at a sketchy government job.
I don't know.
It was like I was doing pamphlets.
You ever seen those people that are on the streets and they have that little book and
they're like, hey, you need some jobs?
And you have to write your name in your email.
No, Andrew.
I've never heard of that.
I've never seen that.
Well, I got a job through that, and I was working in this office.
I don't know what I was doing.
You get your job from somebody who's like barking.
Who's on the street.
He's barking for jobs, pretty much.
Barking for jobs.
That's terrible.
I mean, I only worked there for like two days.
Clearly.
So, after you were at the bakery for a week, then you were at this job for two days.
Two days, two days.
Okay, so we're legit, we're, what is this, nine days of work here?
Nine days of work, nine days of work.
Okay.
How much money did you make in those days?
From the bakery, I made $200.
Ooh.
But $100 was stolen.
$100 was stolen.
It was $100 with a $100 bonus.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They're like, they owe me shackles on your feet.
That's not even the right song.
I think you owe me something.
No, I'm wrong.
Oh, my back, you pay your tax.
Go now, shorty.
Go, Junior Wine.
Okay, after the nine days of work that you had, what was the third job that you had?
Oh, I worked at V.I.M., VIMS.
Oh, okay.
So V.I.M. is like a third generation Jimmy Jazz.
Okay, but now for our beige listeners, V.I.M. is like, where do white people get that?
Like a Pac-Sun for niggas.
So all the surf stuff that you pick up at Pac-Sun, you pick up like your street wear at V.I.M.
That's actually really good.
Actually, no, Jimmy Jazz is the Pac-Son for niggas.
And V.I.M., it's like if you are doing really bad,
like you can't afford Jimmy Jazz.
Damn.
You didn't get your check never cleared.
Oh, come on.
But you got to go to the club that night.
They ain't got no name brand at V.I.M.?
No, they got some name brand.
What brand?
What brand?
They got Jordans.
Not real Jordans.
They got Jordanes.
Yeah.
They don't have real Jordans there.
Air Jordans.
You think they have real Jordans.
No, they have real Jordans.
They only bring like six, but they have real Jordans.
You think that they're Jordans.
I actually had to talk to a customer like that.
A customer said, all right, she bought Jordans.
I worked there for two years.
Oh, okay, two years.
She bought Jordans, and I'm standing there with my boss, and she's like, are these real?
No.
And I said, nah, lady.
Definitely not.
I was like, nah.
Because I was joking around with her.
Because I'm like, if you came to this store to buy Jordans.
You already do a bid.
You already, what do you want?
She's like, oh.
You passed the food lock.
And my boss was like, shut up.
VIM is open until like 10 p.m.
Yeah, it's open until 10 p.m.
we had a lot of
I worked in
Bay Ridge
like 86th street
and it was great
it wasn't that bad
BM is really bad
Andrew you were at
VIM doing what
like obviously
stealing money
from the register
I was a stock boy
and a salesman
but that stock room
was so sad
because it was just
it was like me by myself
in like rows of sneakers
one of my friends
got a concussion
sneakers that nobody wants
yeah
air jordans
the sneakers that
your uncle thinks
that he's like
swagoo in them
he's like
Oh, Swagoo.
Swagoo.
Oh, I was like,
Swagoo?
Is that what the kids
are saying?
No, Swagoo.
He think he's dripping
in Swagoo
with his feel-outs.
Well, he was not,
but it was also like
instead of Nikes,
it was like Knicks.
No, they were real sneak.
People would be
playing BIM.
There's some real stuff there.
I mean, it was BIM
and Bay Ridge.
It was a lot of hand-me-downs.
It was pretty terrible.
It was whatever the Jews,
the Hasidic Jews
weren't rocking,
they were in BIM.
BIM is like a consignment shop
for broke dudes in Brooklyn.
Yes, it is.
It's like Buffalo Exchange
for broke dudes.
I'm so mad.
It's like, wait, hold on.
It's like, I'm sorry,
is that a coolie you got on?
Listen, you could find
your whole court suit outfit there.
Yeah, that's what,
people that have to go to,
if you have probation,
like go to VIM,
get you a nice blazer.
Get a baggy charcoal suit.
Nice blazer.
And wear like a faux Prada
patent leather shoe.
There'll be no lining
in the blazer.
Oh no, it's going to be thin.
No lining in the pants.
No pockets.
We're going to see all the prints.
It's going to be the pockets
that are like stitched on the tags falling off everything so andrew after vim after your
two-year stint at vim where did you go after that so i still technically work at v i didn't get
fired from this job so you wait you let us shit on vim for about what yeah i didn't get i mean
i just like stopped i was like hey my i told my boss hey this is why you get fired because first
of all you don't have any integrity no i don't get i haven't gotten fired you stealing and not
No, I didn't get fired.
I'm still on the roster.
I'm just not playing.
You stealing?
You don't have no integrity?
Andrew, you on too many teams.
You let people shit on it?
As cool as V.I.M., whatever.
What you going to do?
What you want?
What you going to do?
Yeah, because they don't have a podcast in Bay Ridge.
Yeah, they don't have a PR in person.
Those people don't listen to anything.
Not even the customers that come in there.
They be like, we got this in this size.
And look, I asked you for a six.
Well, we have it in a 16.
That's what you going to get.
That's real.
That's real.
Okay, so tell us the next job.
I played V.I.M.
Where were you at?
So after V.I.M., man, what did I do?
Oh, after V.I.M., I worked as an intern at this company called Tex Pride.
Ooh, that sounds like a cover, a shell corporation.
No, no, no.
It was actually really terrible.
They sold emojis, so like branded emojis for like different schools.
So it's like LSU
If you love that team
They have different
Emoji stuff for it
All this other crap
How the hell
You get that
That sounds like
A Craigslist find
Nah so one of my friends
He went to NYU
Poly
Did he go to NYU
Or did he like
Security guard
Nah nah
He went to NYU
Did he pass through
In NYU
Like he had to walk
Through he had to
Get to the train
Was he cleaning
The windows
Around NYU
Nah he was enrolled
He delivered something
And had to go to NYU
To drop it off
Listen Andrew
tell the truth no he was enrolled and uh he's like yo let's it's an internship they'll pay
like they don't pay you but like you get fruit every week and it was in the summer and i was
like cool and y'all doing bad so y'all like i'll take it i'll take a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich we actually we had like the ends cut off i'll take that we had like a 30 dollar um stipend
for the week but uh for the week for the week listen listen listen listen that's like some
third world country i think they got more money a week for food in haiti that is crazy
You should have went back to put a bakery for all that.
Hit the bakery.
We didn't know it was $30 a week until like the third week.
Then y'all dumb.
No, no.
I got three weeks in and didn't realize you were only getting $30.
No, we spent more than $30.
So the guy comes up and he's like, hey, you guys spent like over $100 on food
like these last two weeks.
We can't feed you for the next like two weeks.
That's why you should have went back to the bakery and stole another $100.
He on the roster.
My friend's like, yo, I just told him that my grandma in Pakistan is dying and, like, I need to go to the funeral.
So he never showed up ever again, and I just stopped showing up.
And then I recently figured out that they sold their company for a million dollars.
Okay, so what was that going to do for y'all?
But they still made $30 a week.
I don't know. I thought I was a wimp.
They made $100 million.
They made a million dollars.
You know you can't even get an unlimited MetroCard for $30?
No.
It's $31.
$31.
It'll be $32 because you need to pay for the card.
Oh, you got to get that card as well.
So what were y'all getting for lunch?
It was like $100 a week.
We was just going all out.
Fish and chips.
Fish and chips from where?
Y'all could have went to a Chinese spot.
Y'all going to like a sit-down spot to get food?
Like, yeah, like an all-you-can-eat buffet.
No, you got to go to the Hood Chinese restaurant.
Yeah, but that's not by NYU.
Oh.
That's not by TechServe or wherever the hell Angie was working as an ITT tech dude.
Okay, next job, next job.
The next job.
Wait, how long were you with an intern there?
Oh, like two weeks.
Two weeks, okay, boom.
I see a pattern here.
I feel like you're good at getting jobs,
but you're not good at keeping them.
No, no, no, he's good at keeping them.
He's not good at quitting them
because he still has all of these jobs.
Yeah, I still haven't quit.
Any of them.
But they're not good references
because they're like,
I've never seen this guy again.
The who?
Andrew what?
We have an Andrea who worked here.
What's the next job after TechServe?
So after TechSpride,
I started working at Project Happy.
What the hell is that?
I work with kids that have autism, mental disabilities, physical disabilities.
Oh, so you're familiar with this project?
Absolutely.
Okay.
Well, that's because you're a little bit autistic.
I was like a disabilities counselor.
I'm still, because I still technically work there.
You hear that?
Well, let's not talk much about that.
Well, how many years were you, how long were you at Project Happy?
Four years.
Oh, okay.
So you were really doing your job there.
They really liked you.
So what kind of stuff were you doing with these kids?
Did the kids like you?
Yeah, kids are cool.
So these different kids, they have different disabilities.
like my group all i mean the first year i had these as boys and girls and they all had um
they're all like had different ranges of autism so we just play basketball okay so you were just
getting paid to play basketball swim can you swim yeah swim uh no no i was gonna be like can you
play ball that's what oh so uh we played volleyball we just do a bunch of stuff okay so that's cute
hanging out with them and for four years yeah but now i have all the girls like that are in
wheelchairs so all right and uh one kid who's in a wheelchair that i like stay with him help him
eat oh is this the wheelchair basketball league that you're coaching yeah wait you wait the same
thing or this is something else it's all it's the same thing but you are coaching them i don't they
all they know how to play they're like obviously because they can't i mean oh it's grown men you
were coaching oh oh sydney you've seen him not ball i could just tell by them them shorts you
got on i would dunk on you that's another well that's because you're six foot four that's it
Okay, ladies, six foot four.
Do you hear that?
Six foot four.
I got nice eyes.
You do have really nice eyes.
They're very beautiful.
And I got a nice voice.
He has a nice voice, but he is a terrible fashion sense.
Terrible fashion sense.
And that card be getting declined.
Oh, my God.
My God.
Well, so the other job I had.
I can't believe you blew him up like this on the podcast.
Well, I just want the truth out.
Because I got salary now, so it's all good.
Oh, right, right, right.
I'm doing that.
Well, hold on, hold on.
Let's work our way to the salary.
What was after Project Happy?
Oh, so Project Happy, I was DJing.
So I've been DJing.
Oh, he's a DJ?
How long have you been DJing?
Wait, that's really on the books?
It's not.
It's under the book.
It's under the table.
It's under the book.
I don't pay no tax.
Ooh.
He popped his T-shirt collar on that one.
I don't pay no tax.
But yeah, I've been DJing since I got out of high school.
So like five years now.
and where what parties do you play clubs um i was just at the kempton hotel on like 47th this
saturday oh nice uh i do this place called m15 right off canal street every friday night oh
that sounds like a fun wait what's it called m15 isn't that like a corner store no that sounds
like a bus you work on the manhattan 15 city b okay that's a local bus it's a it's an establishment
it's an establishment okay well we're gonna look it up and then that's dope what do you what do
you usually play i play everything a little q-tip a q-tip i play whatever okay my like the boss he

Do-do-do-do-do.
Yeah.
Do-do-do-do-do.
My love, do you ever dream of?
Okay, we're hurting people's ears.
No, I thought we were harmonizing really well.
Rain of.
Please stop.
Okay, so you DJ.
Next job.
Uh-huh.
Next job.
Andrew is actually looking at his resume while we're speaking.
He's got a Google Doc of all his jobs.
So I used to work for Lincoln Center.
Lincoln?
When did you have a job there?
I was a tour manager.
A tour manager?
And here's the bathroom.
And here's the third bathroom from the first bathroom.
Sir, let me please take your bath.
No, I really was a tour manager.
Andrew, a tour manager.
What's right below manager?
You just skipped right to manager?
Yeah.
But like tour manager?
Like tour manager.
I thought you were a tour guide?
No, no, no.
I was actually a tour manager.
A tour manager?
not here so you would manage the people who were giving tours no that was a no he was managing the
people who were coming in for the tours what the hell were you doing at lincoln center so um
we'd go to different schools and have this like program where we'd have people from philharmonics
come by or different performers so i'd have to like hang out with the performers show them where
their room is show them set up the whole i don't think there's a tour manager
So here's your bottled waters.
I'm sorry, we didn't see it on your rider
that you wanted white flowers, so we want you
yellow hydrangeas.
M&M's with peanuts or
just plain? I saw on the
it said that you didn't want any
red M&M's, so I ate those.
Oh, I'm sorry. You don't like the blue ones either?
You said you like white lilies?
Okay. They don't have that at the
bodega.
What was your uniform? You had to wear
like a green shirt.
That's it? A green t-shirt?
I can't really talk to you with your legs out.
You cross your legs.
Like, you got your legs out.
They're very dry.
I just, I feel some type of way.
I can't believe you two came out in the middle of the creation.
Okay.
Well, next job.
My next job.
Wait, how long were you at Lincoln Center as a tour manna here?
I'd say like two months.
That's a long time.
Is it?
Well, there's a probation period with the job.
So, and you didn't even make it through.
Isn't probation normally 90 days?
Is it?
Two months is not...
Two months is not...
He didn't even make it through probation.
Did you get fired or you quit?
I quit.
Okay.
Okay, so you're not still on the roster there.
Next job.
What else?
What's the next job?
I used to work at the Standard East Village.
I was a bellman.
I do remember that for a hot signal.
I don't see you wearing that uniform at all.
Really?
I can see Andrew wearing a uniform.
His shoulders.
No, it'd be too short.
His shoulders are like...
I killed it in that bow tie.
Ooh.
Yes.
Was it a pre-tied bow tie or you had to tie it yourself?
It was pre-tied.
Are you crazy?
It was a pre-tied bow tie.
How long were you at the standard?
I'd say eight months.
I don't even think it was that long.
So you had health insurance, obviously.
Yeah, for like a month, and then I was like, I quit.
Wait, how long does it take for your health insurance to kick in?
I think it's a six-month probationary period.
You got probation for six months to be a bellman?
They want to see that you're not going to drop somebody's bag on their foot?
Drop no bags.
You're not going to...
Were people giving you tips?
Yeah.
What's the highest tip he ever got as a bowman?
Dang.
Come on.
It was $100 that he stole from this lady's purse.
Maybe like $100 or something.
That's the most?
Yeah.
You weren't working hard enough.
I was doing a night shift.
I was an overnight bowman.
Oh, that's the time where you're like, that's where you'd be like, you need hookers?
You need hugs?
What you need?
There's been a lot of hookers.
I mean, there was one guy who came in.
He didn't even live at the hotel or stay at the hotel.
He was a drug dealer.
he was so bad
at his job though
because he's always
come and talk to us
in the front desk
and it's like
wait how did he look
he was a white dude
white t-shirt
black jeans
oh that sounds like
Sidney's ex-boyfriend
oh no
he was a raggedy
old white man
first of all
I did not have
a white man
that was my ex-boyfriend
who was black
white man
white man
but he was
and he would try
to like be friends
it was like
it'd be three in the morning
and he'd be talking
about his life
he'd be talking about
but when did
the hoes come
the hoes
Yeah, you said the hookers.
Oh, the hookers were coming like 4 or 4 in the morning.
I'd have to bring them up to the room.
You would have to escort them up.
See, that's a tour manager right there.
And you should get more money for that.
You see how he got that position because of the Lincoln Center job.
They should have given you more money because they were like, listen, I'm protecting y'all good.
And you could have been a pimp.
You could have segued that hooker tour manager job.
I was like, hey, do you need help?
And she's like, hmm?
And I was like, oh, nothing.
She was like, do you need help?
Trying to get him out that life.
Trying to save these hoes, man.
You should have given her like a Christian work pamphlet.
Why didn't you give her the information for the tech serve job?
She could have got another job.
Because I didn't, I forgot about that.
You just slide her a whole bunch of resumes.
You're like, listen, this helped me out.
Just fill these out.
Just fill these out.
You got to get out of this life, girl.
He's like, you know what?
There's a bakery looking for a host.
Like, make the money.
Don't let the money make you.
And she was like, you got to use what you got to get what you want.
don't give me none of those ronnie ho quote quotes uh ebony andrew after the standard you
do you still work there no i quit you quit because the night shift sucks night shift sucked and then
yeah it's just it wasn't fun i didn't have fun anymore all right so what was your next job after
that next job um i work i still work in this company called gsa so i teach uh japanese kids
english online you teach do you speak japanese no i speak japanese you don't need to know
japanese to speak english to teach and you japanese kids you speak english properly yeah
i'm an english lit major i graduated from hunter college you were all english lit no but i was
don't give me that for all these jobs that you've had what like it sounds like you just don't be
you don't show up when you're done what do you mean like you'd be like i'm not coming back
tomorrow yes it's hard to marie don't that run in a family it does oh damn no it does
Because every job
No no she right
Because every job that I've ever had
I've never been at a job longer than six months
One and every job that I've ever quit
I legit will be walking out on like a Tuesday
Like you know what
I'm just not going to come back tomorrow
And you're like I'm going to take this vase too
And yes I like to take like parting gifts
Yeah our parents taught us a lot
Do you steal things from these jobs
No I don't steal I mean umbrellas like they don't need them
Well I mean you gotta take an umbrella from a hotel
They be having the thick ones
But like you don't take like you don't be like
taking like printing paper or like tissue paper uh but no you live in yeah well yeah
andrew's a good guy and so andrew how much money have you saved from all of these jobs and you're
like saved saved saved money what is a safe money to blow hold on hold on hold on sydney how much
money have you saved from all your jobs oh here we go i've actually only had uh about three jobs
And you were making how much money at these jobs?
I plead the fifth.
I plead the fifth.
Yeah, Sidney don't save money either.
She don't even know how to spell savings.
No, because I was working.
I mean, it was like a 16-hour dollar.
I was like, all right.
Andrew, how old are you?
I'm 23 right now.
You're 20.
You're out here grinding.
23 and you got 12 jobs under your belt.
Maybe more.
You probably have some jobs that you're just not going to talk about.
I just forgot about it.
What's the craziest job you've ever had?
uh oh i worked one day at uh that's not like one of my i was a i was a sous chef for one day
or a prep chef for one day you were chopping up like you were chopping up carrots julian julian
carrots yeah and it was no it was like fish so so i was at this really nice restaurant on the
on first ave what's it called first and well it was like first and don't say first no not first
and first first and like third is it's a really nice like a fancy upscale restaurant first and
yeah what fancy restaurant no i'm serious oh shit i don't know in the east village it was
actually first and third that's near karma lounge where we have our show the second
you see that plug see how see full circle that's how you do it that's how you do it
i passed it to you you're like john starks yeah and i was whoever john starks was throwing
kobe kobe and shack right yeah you're shack why am i i'll be shack i'll be shack i'm not shack
You're Kobe
Well Kobe's not gonna pass the shack
So you gotta be Shaq
Oh it was called
Even though your hair
Is giving me Kobe vibe
Fuck you
Remember when Kobe had the fro
Yeah
Yeah
It looks good
It looks good
I'm Iman Shupert

So we gonna use your name
How many stars
The Impeleon got
We gonna order some stuff
Andrew walked in for a day
As a killer
guillard guillard andrew you worked at what happened you quit because fish bones got in
your eyes no it was really hard i didn't know that you were there for a day yeah it was just
i was just i was in a basement why are you trying to act like that's not your life you be in
basements but i was like cutting like it was it was so dumb i was because the fish had scales on
it so i was taking the knife and i was just rubbing the scales off yeah that's how you take
the scales for seven like for four hours but how much money was you making i didn't make no money
it was like a trial period oh my god yeah so what happened is they didn't like the way you
scale these fishes so you didn't get invited back for day two you had one job andrew scale the fish
that's it and it was bad every job i've ever had was terrible all the jobs you have a lot of jobs
i think i probably have had like 20 jobs that's crazy but i'm just a little bit older than andrew
I'm like 24.
So.
24.
24.
Oh, my God.
You're never going to let that 24 go.
Sydney, let me live my 24-year-old life.
Don't be upset because everybody knows you were born in 1982.
Shut up.
Is that the year?
82?
No, it's not, actually.
Oh, okay.
I'm sorry.
83.
That's true.
Yeah, the craziest job.
I had a job once
Where I was working
As an assistant
To this dude
That was selling
Like insurance
Or something
That sounds so boring
It was like
In the middle of the summertime
I would call it
Shorts and like a tank top
And it was like
Just his desk
And then my desk
And he was like
Marie can you
Set up these interviews
To come in
Because it was like
He was trying to get people
To come in to do sales work
Or something
Yeah
And then I got in trouble
Because I wore
He was like
Your shorts are too short
They're not office appropriate
He never came back
I was like
This is not even a real office
You had the boom booms out
It was hot.
It was like July.
Ain't nobody here.
Yo, your poom kosh was out.
My poom kosh?
The poom kosh, the toto, the tutu, everything was out.
I was like, what?
It's hot.
He said, we hired you, not your poom kosh.
I was like, but this is what's making all the sales.
He said, you can come in, but your poom kosh has to stay out.
But people were coming in in these button-up.
People didn't know what they were coming in for.
like they would show up and they'd be like oh this oh this i got an interview for this
because they kept seeing your poop gosh you're like this is it and i had one of those desks
where like it didn't have a back it was like a table so they were like oh she got on shorts
and toes not done oh no i don't want to work here there's only two desks in this place
exactly you sat at your desk i was there for three days damn yeah three days so that was
the shortest i think or maybe i've had jobs for like a day where like i trailed for stuff and
then they were like yes no i actually just quit this uh i was working at this motorcycle company
what in uh brooklyn do you know i don't know how to ride do you want to ride on a backseat
in my cali i don't know that song i've only been oh yeah i don't know what song yeah that song is
Keith Urban
Keith Urban
That sounds like Cece Winans
Yeah, something, something
It's really a goss from a gospel album
Kirk Franklin
His early stuff
Is it Kirk Franklin or Kurt Franklin?
It's Kirk Franklin
Is it?
Kurt Franklin
It's not Kurt Franklin
No, it's not Kurt
Kurt
Do you want a revolution?
Thanks, Kirk
Is it Kirk?
do you want a revolution okay i said do you want to actually quit this um motorcycle like i actually
quit it well how did you quit i sent like because my okay this will happen let me let me so
so uh wednesday i'm leaving the shop and i'm like yo can uh can you give me a set schedule
because i'm only working for two weeks and i'm like yo can you give me a set schedule well what
time did you have you coming in you can't be coming in like one to five and it was like i can't do that
yo you are so related to marie you're so related to her one to five is a solid sketch i know but
i'm like i need some stability in my life i'm waking up at one to five what's wrong with you
that's perfect it wasn't too much it was too much marie's like i can't believe they want me to come
in from nine to nine to five that makes no sense no it was ten to three and i still couldn't get
there on time oh they find my black ass so quick
they're like marie today's gonna be your last day i was like not tomorrow
i can't come in one more chance
they were like today's your last day turn in your materials and leave yo they had a security guard
I wanted to throw something at her so bad.
They gave you your box and everything.
There was nothing in the box.
I was there for like three weeks.
Did they kick you out like Jazzy Jeff?
She was like, please turn in your ID badge and go.
And I was like, I can't finish.
It's not even three o'clock.
I can't even.
They wouldn't even let you get that last hour.
But the worst part was I had to go get my lunch in the fridge.
Oh, no.
Did I walk in shame?
I had to go gather my yogurt and stuff.
Did you really go and get your yogurt?
Yeah, I went to get my yogurt.
I was like
I'm not leaving this for them
They don't deserve this
What kind of yogurt was it?
It was like the yogurt
That when you like
It was like a Chobani
Oh so you threw it on there?
You had to throw the stuff in
Oh so you're making money
Oh come on man
It was like a dollar yogurt
Right there
Definitely not a dollar
That's more than a dollar
That's like $1.75
If you go to ShopRite
Or Stop His Shop
Whatever the hell it is
What's the name of the place?
Shop and Shop
Stop His Shop
You get like a
It's like 5 for 5
Oh 5 for 5
So they wanted you to come
From 1 to 5
And that's just too much for you.
No, I wanted him to send me a set schedule so he didn't have to text me all the time.
1 to 5 was cool.
But what else were you doing?
I was fixing motorcycles.
Wait, no, hold on, hold on, hold on.
1 to 5 didn't work for you?
Well, Sidney, because he has like 12 other jobs.
You know he's on the roster at The Bakery, VIM, Project Happy, Lincoln Center.
I just needed to know when he wanted me to come.
But he wanted you there at 1 to 5.
No, but he'd always text me.
What were the other times that he would text you?
No, every single day he's like, yo, come through 1 to 5.
So you had a set schedule.
What's the problem?
No, but it was a text.
I wanted like an actual like, hey, this is where I'm coming in.
Boom.
You're asking for too much.
You are asking for too much.
I would just show up every day 1 to 5, whether I got a text or not.
So I said, email me.
Marie lying too.
She's like, I can't believe they're texting me.
Shut up, Sidney.
So I said, email me the schedule.
Wednesday goes by, nothing happened.
Thursday, nothing.
Oh, they let that black ass go.
So Friday, I sent him like a text.
I sent him an email.
I'm like, hey, Jeremy, what's going on?
Hey, Jeremy, what's up?
I'm like, yo, can you send me a sketch of you?
I hope everything's good.
Sincerely yours, Andrew McGill.
Boom, done.
Ooh, you know how to end it.
You know how to end it.
Sincerely yours.
Sincerely yours.
But did you spell sincerely incorrectly?
How do you spell sincerely?
How do you spell sincerely?
I feel like, okay, I'm going to spell it,
and then Sidney's going to spell it,
and then you're going to spell it.
Ready?
Sincerely is S-I-N-C-E-R-L-E-Y.
Sidney, how do you spell sincerely?
Wait.
Go ahead.
What?
Sincere.
No, put your phone down.
I don't want autocorrect to help you.
That's a, yeah, I'm a visual.
Let me write it down.
Spell sincerely.
Let me just write it down.
Yeah, write it down.
How do you spell sincerely?
It's a S-I-N-C-E-R-E-L-Y.
She moved to E.
She moved to E.
Shut up.
How do you spell it?
How do you spell it?
Don't mess up the equipment, fool.
I'm sorry.
Andrew, how do you spell it?
S-I-N-C-E-R-L-E-Y
Okay
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Hold up, hold up, hold up
Hold up, hold up, hold up
Hold on, let me take my phone
Andrew, that's the one
That you put down first
Is the one that we gonna take
Alright, cool
Sincerely yours
Okay, okay
So are you a warm regards guy?
I'm the warmest regards
I'm a best
Best
Best is my favorite
Oh, Sydney was right
Hey
That's why you got no job
I don't use sincerely I just use and Marie called me dumb can you take that back no that's your dumb
you keep that dumb give me my notebook back I just want to see what you spelled so I can
she felt sincerely Andrew you spelled it the same way what you mean I spelled it like Sid
no you didn't yeah I did no you were like hold on no no no wait and then you said the first one
yeah the first one was mine L-E-Y and you hush okay all right we gonna we gonna play it back
We won't play back
We won't check the tape
I won
Run it back
Run it back
Sidney you know what you win?
What?
Absolutely nothing
So
Man you still got them shorts on
You can't say nothing to me
You're right
Okay so you
I don't even remember
What we was talking about
So Friday goes by
You didn't send me anything
Saturday goes by
I send him an email
None of this matters
Okay hold on
We gotta do this quiz
Okay
Damn well you're not
Gonna let him finish?
No
Let him finish
Let me finish
So what happened?
The guy was just like
You asking for schedules
You uppity
You bougie black
You fired.
No, he just stopped emailing me, stopped texting me.
So I kept emailing and texting him.
I'm like, yo, I haven't got paid yet.
So I sent him an email.
I'm like, yo, Jeremy, you going to pay me this money or what?
What are we going to do?
So you went into a job.
Sincerely yours, Andrew McGill.
Sincerely yours.
And then I went to the spot.
I went to the spot.
I went to the shop.
And I looked around.
I'm looking around.
Ain't nothing there.
He's not there.
And I'm like, yo, where's this man at?
He closed the shop and he moved.
He closed the shop.
I thought he left.
I thought he left.
And I'm like
Yo there's something going on
Show me on the run
Your message sounded like DMX
And then you ended with
Sincerely
Yeah you gotta
Hey yo
My flesh of my flesh
Blood of my blood
Don't have me come up
From there
And run
Run me my money
Nigga
Sincerely
Sincerely yours
Sincerely yours
Angel
Well maybe you spelled
Yours wrong
Was there a comma there
No no so I
And then in my
I don't know why
I was like
Maybe he's like
Either he left
Or he's dead
That's the only reason
why because he's not at the shop no more i don't know where he's at so i was like if if he's dead
and they find his body and they find his phone and they look through that shit they're gonna
look at all the emails all the texts i've been sent i'm gonna be prime suspect number one number
wow non-murder non-murderous text i was like hey man like i love you like i appreciate everything
that you've let me do but when you gonna pay me though you still wait on that no he actually
emailed me he's like oh man things have been crazy blah blah and i was like i sent him this
nice man i was like hey i don't feel appreciated my man i didn't say my man i said i don't feel
appreciated in this my brother my brother so i quit i was like yo just pay me my money it sounds
like you had already he was done with you no i was done with him like when a when a chick when
a dude messages a chick over and over again and you're like i'm not interested in you i just i
was hungry that one time oh you think he was trying to play me he was trying to play you
Talk about he been busy
He has his phone
He checks his email every day
That's real
How you running a business
And you don't check your email
He just
He was sending you spam
Sincerely yours
Spam

How many references do you usually need for a new job?
Two references.
Actually, you can have one, but then...
Actually, two is better.

Yeah.
The HR girl was cool.
What happened?
She got me the job.
I'm Sarah.
Okay, but have you had a problem?
Has anybody reported you at a VIM in Bay Ridge or something?
Did you have to go to HR for somebody to touch you in an inappropriate place?
They were like, show me on this door where they touched you.
Did you have to do that?
I think my manager at VIM was HR.
How is that?
They can't have that.
Yeah, she's dual position.
well andrew had like six jobs
it is complicated so she could fire me
and then she could rehire me
you're like well i have a problem with the manager
and he's like well
let me speak to them
who's your manager you nigga
no because we had two managers
and one of the managers fired me and i was like
yo wendy he can't fire me and she's like you're right
he can't fire you so she hired me back
and he's like why and then he's like how you still here
and then she fired you
and then he was like i'm not hiring you back
I hate you
Marie have you ever
gone to HR
no
you ever been to HR
wait didn't you have
a problem with somebody
at your job
and you went
to somebody
about it
there was this girl
there was a girl
like making you do
work that you weren't
supposed to do
a word Sydney
we gonna bring it back
to 2005
we're going all the way
back to the archives
of my life
back to Sony
didn't that just happen
no I didn't go to HR
I sent them a message
cause I was hired
as a temp
oh you had a paper trail
that's what it was
Well, I had messaged them and was like, I'm not really understanding what, why we're both doing the same job.
And then they were like, you're right.
We only need one of you.
Bye.
Bye.
Oh, no.
She's like, dang.
She's like, shut up.
Your black ass always saying shit.
I know.
Because I really hated that girl.
She was so terrible.
Well, because we were both getting paid to do the same thing, but she was making me do the work.
So, I mean.
And she was a white woman.
Technically, I won because she still has to do her work.
I mean, she's making money, but like, it's not that much money.
That's real.
I've never gone to HR, ever.
Like, there's been...
Oh, Sydney, didn't you have a problem with your Facebook page?
They were like, oh, you be talking about us at work.
Oh.
And then now your Facebook page is private because people that you work with were like,
oh, Sydney be talking about work and she's not happy here?
Oh, Sydney looks disheveled right now.
Oh, doesn't she look so...
Bewildered.
Bewildered.
Okay, because...
Perplexed.
Well, because I really do still work there and that's where we get our money from.
And you go in there and you get your little cheese plate
And what not
And they got a new risotto balls
Oh risotto balls
So what's in the risotto balls
Shut up Andrew get out of here
What's in the risotto balls
Get the hell out
I'm so tired of you
Listen I can't with you guys
Andrew did you have anything else
Like any misconceptions
Or anything that you learned
In these 15 jobs that you feel like
People should know
oh have a good just be good in the interview like it doesn't matter it doesn't come on man
it don't matter what your resume says on it as long as you can like talk to people and have like
it's like just be personable do you show up with that outfit no no andrew's like it doesn't matter
what you got on as long as it don't matter what you got on you don't remember that scene in um
that will smith movie pursuit of happiness where he comes in and he's like i may not know what
this job is i'm gonna and he's like but if i but if you give me a chance i'll find the answer
no i'm serious it works it works trust me he was basically look homeless in the interview
but just kill it and then one day you'll grow up and be will smith yeah and you'll have two
weird kids and one cute son um two weird kids and one cute son well yeah he has three kids
does he have three kids yeah though from his first wife trey oh who cares about trey he's
He's like a grown-ass man now.
Yeah, Trey's like normal.
Yeah, Trey's a grown man.
He's mad normal.
He works at the DMV.
Oh, come on.
No, you know where he works
is he works at Lincoln Center
as a tour manager.
Wait, we're going to ask you.
Okay, so we're going to go around
as we're closing this out.
And since you've gone on
so many interviews,
you have to know,
I just want everybody to say
ask one interview question.
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
All right, we're going to go around.
Wait, interview questions.
Oh, Sydney.
Sydney, you lost, girl.
You already lost.
Cindy's buying everybody lunch.
So Andrew's going to say it, and then I'm going to say one,
and then you guys say one.
Cool?
Okay, go ahead.
I'm going to take yours.
So what is your biggest strength?
Ooh, yes, that's a question I always ask.
Here's mine.
Why do you want to work here?
That's the dumbest answer.
I hate that question so much.
That's so dumb, because I need money.
That's why.
And no one's paying my bills, because obviously my ass is not big enough yet.
Sydney, what's an interview question?
so what are your uh long-term goals and your short-term goals yeah and i said well my short-term
goals is like i want to get money get hoes and do what i need to do long term i just want to
have a savings account so can you help me have you know a savings account can be a short-term
goal no you can do that today you can go we can go matter of fact let's shut this whole operation
We're going to go transfer some cash.
We're going to go get some money in Cindy's house.
I can't believe she's so terrible.
She's got no sayings.
Black Americans.
Come on.
Okay.
Wait, what was your best job?
We never even talked about.
What was like the best and the worst?
Dang, my best job?
Mm-hmm.
I think working at the Standard was like my best job because I didn't work.
I didn't work.
You quit though.
Yeah, but I didn't work.
It was fun.
Okay.
So that was the best job.
I'd watch Star Wars
I'd eat free food
I'd hang out
Okay I'm here for the food
I'm not here for the Star Wars
That sounds like
A 50-50 lose-win situation
I literally did nothing there
So that was your best job
That was my best job
It was the best
And it was the worst job
Because I was there overnight
Oh yeah
Overnight is terrible
It's the worst
I've never had an overnight job
And the freaks come out
Marie
Worse
Best job
The worst job I had
Was probably
The one where I wore
The poom poom shorts
For three days
The poom poom
The poom poom shorts
That poom kosh was out
The poom kosh
And then my best job
Was the other job I got fired from
Because I didn't show up
For like a week
Because my boss was out of the country
And I was like oh she's not here
I don't need to be here
But you did show up
I mean I would show up late
Like I was doing like a one to three
Like I was doing that shit
You're like oh she ain't here
She's in Taiwan
I'm gonna come in
I was like she doesn't
She can't
I'm gonna get here at lunch
Contact me from Taiwan
And then take lunch
And then she called me
And she was like Marie where are you at
I called the office, and you're not there.
I was like, uh, I went to Duane Reade.
I'm right outside.
I'm at the pharmacy.
And I was on the train.
I was crossing the Manhattan Bridge.
And it was like, next stop, Canal Street.
Oh, no.
And I was like, I ain't got to go.
Bye, Carol.
Oh, no.
And then the next, when she got back, the day she got back, she fired me.
So she's terrible.
So why was that the, that was the best job?
That was the best job.
I was making the most money.
Yeah, you were.
And I didn't really have to do that much work.
and I was doing less
than the not a lot of work
I had to do
and that's why I got fired.
Sydney, best worst job?
It's crazy.
It's the job
that I got fired from as well
was my best job
because I was making
everything in cash.
Everything cash money.
How much money
were you working out with
on a slow night?
$600.
And on a busy night?
$1,200, $1,300.
And you ain't got no savings?
What?
You see these titties
on my chest
this is my motherfucking savings and yet them titties is not they're not there's not a return
investment on them today okay because you're still paying for everything now i know but it was the
best job because i would get money in cash and it was the worst job because i drank way too much i
got fucked up and then i developed a bad drinking habit and then i got fired essentially from
drinking and they were like you i was like you hired me here to be the party girl and i am the
party girl they're like yeah and they're like well party's over today okay pack up your belongings
and go they were like they were like lights out nigga what's my mother's name and then they play
they play candy rain as you walk down
is it rainbows or raindrops i don't know i don't say rain i feel like this show is sponsored by
karaoke but it's not it's not karaoke it's sponsored by black people killing it uh acoustically
and uh what's the word where there's no music playing behind you uh acapella acapella no but
it's really um sponsored by something else today remember it's sponsored by uh zip card zip card
