Starting point is 00:00:00 forever dog and hello hello hello good more good morrow grand rising good morning good afternoon if you're listening to this in the afternoon time it's been a long long time i mean it's been a whole week right a week a week and it's also been a long long time coming we finally were like let's get a fucking guest on here y'all I'm tired of putting my damn business on here it's got to be somebody else to do the filler yeah I want I want to hear somebody else's business and I also wanted to talk to a friend I wanted to talk to somebody that we actually like exactly before we get into that we got to get into us because you know we fell off with what our expertise is because I was like what is an expertise I mean we all do the expertise is okay expert on English expertise is
Starting point is 00:00:54 you know that's listen words don't count either we make words up over here okay so anywho um but we're gonna get back into that now so marie what were you in no no no no no but were you an expert in this week i'm gonna go ahead and defer to my colleague ms washington what were you an expert in this week friend well you know she's uh the traveling pants of uh non-covid and i'm i'm back in la she's back and she's banging um literally banging literally um i'm here seeing my lubber again and you know you're just chilling in the house chilling chilling in the house and not being bored in the house bored in the house bored in new york city so you know you you step in first day you get it in just get it in you just like i haven't seen you in a while what's really good
Starting point is 00:01:49 um but unfortunately you know she's she lived in a she lived in a nice building or whatever and uh the people was not happy about the noise that was going on and they left what noise were they were you making friend tell the tell the people be specific give us maybe an example when it's good it's good what do you mean what kind of noise can you what does it sound like yes I don't know I can't it was not that loud because we I'm on the mic but I was pretty loud and how long does it last for well the first session was long I'm not gonna lie but that was during the day so I don't even count that was like at like four o'clock or something like that so like a four to five or a four to six yeah it was like it was like a four to like 5 30 okay just a cute
Starting point is 00:02:39 little little half day yeah yeah um which is fine you can't get mad during the day but at the nighttime wait why can't you get mad during the day everyone's working from home right the kids are on zoom school like that's peak getting upset time the kids are trying to learn how to do uh algebraic equations i'm i'm so sorry no no i'm gonna that's where i'm gonna stop you but let me give you the note first it said hi with a dash please underscore under the please line straight line penmanship real let me speak to your manager energy please keep it down at night we have kids and so do other neighbors period thanks period now first of all i live in brownsville brooklyn And when I tell you my whole neighborhood is a noise complaint, they will play music from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.
Starting point is 00:03:36 It don't matter what day it is. It could be Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. It's every day, especially in the summertime. We have firecrackers go on from still, still, still. But it was like from from May until after July 4th. day yes so like i'm i'm just not used to letting a neighbor know like you loud as fuck like carolina had a whole like party in the backyard for for hours didn't tell nobody didn't invite nobody didn't invite the neighbors at all just party i feel like there were neighbors at that party so
Starting point is 00:04:14 i'm gonna stop you right there well the neighbors came through but i don't think they was necessarily invited but also sis you can't go from the hood to the place with the palm trees and think you gonna have the same energy you know no i don't think you could have the same energy you have to act accordingly this is not brownsville this is no it's not brownsville thank you for um correcting me bitch thank you i have i'm just saying this i thought we were having a conversation what i'm saying is what i'm saying is people with kids i love y'all i'm glad that y'all have kids but your kids don't trump nothing over here they just because because when your kids want to bang on pans and run up and down the hallways and skate and have band parties and whatnot oh you know it's
Starting point is 00:04:57 the kids wait are they doing that though are they doing that yes good question andrew thank you yes yes they are they're going down the hallways with pots and pans when the kids are having fun they're having fun are the kids tenacia from bad girls club i'm so confused what's this noise coming from that you came in also you pulled up on the first day flight landed at what time the flight landed at noon the flight landed at noon you started your little afternoon session at four so when were the kids running sis i don't know and i don't really care i'm just saying that like just because you have kids what what does that what does that matter because maybe because they're hearing you have sex though sydney sydney is people where people play porn people there's
Starting point is 00:05:45 there's people fighting out in the street i don't care playing porn so loud that you hear it in your house sis let me tell you what i don't give a damn i don't give a damn kids are gonna how did the kids come about fucking okay yeah but you can quietly come no you don't have to be loud when you come you know you you go no i'm not doing that i'm not putting no gag on my mouth we're not in a dungeon sis well i don't play them games maybe you should get a little sex maybe reinforce some of the walls over there first of all i don't live here so the noise that was coming out that day is rarely here is visitor noise this is yeah this is a once in a once in a moment like this so once in a while it's seasonal it is seasonal thank you so it's it's
Starting point is 00:06:34 gonna be every day for the next couple of days it's not a couple times i'm on my period thank you okay well i guess you got all the screams out but uh there will be more screams when the period is gone because she don't stay forever um but just saying that you don't care and and and show us the note i want to see the note you want to see the note yeah show us the note i want to see if i can tell who wrote the note i put it on twitter and like it was very um what do you call it it was mixed mixed reviews okay you know thank you my uh my colleague the fact that the note is in the house and you didn't want to show us the note you were going to take show us a picture of the note is crazy a white lady wrote that oh yeah definitely a beige lady wrote this please keep it down at
Starting point is 00:07:23 night we have kids and to do and so do other neighbors thanks this could have been way more mean i honestly it's not that mean um it's not i mean no i'm straight into the point um she didn't call you guys niggas she didn't call you a beach she didn't say uh you were screaming off pitch she didn't say none of that but the underlying under please no no no that's listen listen i'm telling you out of my all of my life of being a neighbor Even when I did not live in Brownsville And I lived in another neighborhood And I've had neighbors with kids
Starting point is 00:08:02 And everything I have never walked out of my apartment Left a note And went back into my apartment I've never You are in Los Angeles This is the land of the green juice And the hiking and the underlined
Starting point is 00:08:17 Please notes You're in a different place Now last week you were talking about having babies And this week you saying fuck them kids so yes i'm gonna need you to find a girl who could do both i want to have babies and also fuck them kids so so in two years three years when your babies are here and somebody is banging loudly above you for 20 minutes it's fine it's not and first of all if you wore them kids out all day by midnight they would not be hearing nothing they would be out cold sleep all right
Starting point is 00:08:47 well i mean next time you have sex do this for for the listeners just put the put the voice memo on and record it so we can see what the decibels are for the levels. You're acting like I don't know that you are probably my loudest friend. Girl, bye. I've seen you on FaceTime in public. I've seen you
Starting point is 00:09:08 laughing at others in public. Your voice carries, friend. You got range. You're the Adele of talking. LOL. I just know when there was like a keg party going on and the beige people were watching soccer and being very
Starting point is 00:09:23 loud nobody got a note then so which cake party and at which um residence are you talking about friend uh well you know ain't nobody yeah ain't nobody you're not you talking about 2009 college no no no no this was this was the last time i was here but you weren't at that party you wouldn't have received the no i know that they didn't receive a note it's like there's nothing that we can say side you're on and it's fine so sydney you're an expert of not giving a damn fuck them kids fuck y'all too okay now what's your expertise bitch uh well i'm an expert at being a good neighbor i'm not sure if you know what that is but um i'm a great neighbor so um i don't live here so i i didn't know we were doing expertise today i just showed up
Starting point is 00:10:11 and now you're telling me that i need to have an expertise prepared i'm not really sure why you think that i would have that um i'm i think this week i was an expert at um damn i don't i really don't know um there are so much happened this week yeah but none of it is stuff that i want to talk about so that's where i'm at right now i'm an expert at um i don't know andrew what were you an expert in this week how about we feel like you're you're saying you're saying that you don't know what you're an expert in as you're like touching your braids it's like you want thank you so much i'm an expert at having hair this week it's like it's like you're asking us to like bring it on i wasn't even thinking about my hair but i
Starting point is 00:10:52 am an expert at no longer being bald my hair goes down to my cooch lips and that is where i wanted it to go it lightly grazes my booty hole that's where that's where my hair has grown in the last time that we spoke um i went to get braids somebody amina told me that my hair was long enough to be braided and i was like oh is it you you ain't got to tell me twice and i found a little um african braiding place that's not that far from my house and they were like you can come tonight and i went and three people worked on my hair and i was in and out of the salon in three and a half hours which beautiful we made great time um and you know now i i i can put my hair in a ponytail and now i shower with my head like this because it's not getting wet anymore and um
Starting point is 00:11:41 i truly feel like i am back to my old unemployed self so i feel really good about having hair i missed it i missed having hair can you guys tell it looks fantastic sydney wasn't even looking at me when she said that i feel like you're on instagram and i'm gonna need for you to put your phone down okay i'm reading the note um okay well let's bring our guest in because I really want to get her take on some of the things that we've already talked about she is here in New York with me
Starting point is 00:12:17 and she looks amazing which is why we asked her to cut her camera off it's actually very aggressive how wonderful she looks how hot she looks do you have an interview after this she put a fucking cat eye on
Starting point is 00:12:33 you doing 60 minutes after this she's filming a special that's what she's doing um she's our friend and yours she's been here before what i don't remember what you were an expert oh what were you an expert in before like spotting a liar or some shit spotting or telling a lie yeah like like just knowing how to lie and when to spot a liar guys give it up for our boo and yours d nasty what's going on guys okay d first of all you heard sydney's expertise you've heard mine we haven't heard andrew's yet what do you think about what you've heard so far um i think that sydney's kind of wilding a little bit all the respect friend i love you but i think
Starting point is 00:13:20 keep it down a bit because even if the kids have pots and pans i don't think the kids are moaning while they're banging the pots and pans yes normalize sex normalize sex not around the kids normalize sex sources sex is normalized cis people literally have it every day but it's not though people have it every day it's not normalized yeah i mean it's cool i would be a little like i would find it funny i wouldn't be as upset with you i would just find it funny upset as you i would find it funny i'm like damn the kids you know they learned a little lesson today but how how how does your lover feel about the note i mean you know she live here so she like yeah we gotta we gotta be quiet so so so you're saying you don't care that she lived there you just there to get
Starting point is 00:14:09 what you get and you can't get upset oh no girl we're gonna have sex in the car now that's what we gonna do and the acoustics in the parking garage also is there a headboard on the bed because maybe that was also making noise yeah right so there's banging well no no that was that we stopped that that was that was the other go-round but yeah nobody's perfect d as somebody who lives way way way uptown has anybody ever left you a note or screamed or like hit the floor with a broom or any of those things because i feel like that's how we do it in our communities um first of all i live in washington heights and when i moved to washington heights from the bronx i assumed that it was going to be like the bronx because you know it's a 10
Starting point is 00:15:05 it's like a 15 minute walk or 20 minutes depending on where you are and it's loud over here it's run by dominicans it's always merengue perico ripiao you know dembow is mad loud so when i came here i'm thinking it's gonna be the same way and i'm loud and when my friend when i had my first apartment like first couple days of being here my friends was over we was drinking we smoking we loud so um that first week was a little difficult it was like 3 a.m i don't know what was happening we were yelling we were literally yelling and this man was like people work in this building like he knocked on the door i feel like people work i was he was like welcome to the welcome to the neighborhood so i was like okay and i think it's like because i live in the suburbs
Starting point is 00:15:47 of washington heights which is fort washington excuse me the suburbs of washington that is do you have existent do you have who told you that that is the funniest girl people call it because all right so i live really close to presbyterian hospital so a lot of the people that live in this building all the old dominicans are dying out you know you know god forgive me but they're dying so like the only people that are really moving into this building right now are a lot of like nurses or people doing whatever you call what they do the residency they're all yeah what the doctors do yes respect whatever they do you know they just out here they just be out here you know telling people they got covid nah that's not funny never mind yes yes
Starting point is 00:16:28 catch that um but yeah so they they're like all either like about to be a doctor or are doctors and nurses so that you know they probably work on different kind of shifts so i've learned to calm down but i've gotten notes i've gotten the broom i had this chick you got in the broom i've gotten the broom yeah um you know when i was living here with my friend for a little bit you know this this white chick who was living downstairs blonde like little woman she came up here and she's like like what's going on and and my friend is not as nice as i am and she's like let's get the fuck out of here she slammed the door she slammed the door on that lady's face um it's safe to say that my friend doesn't live here anymore and neither does that woman
Starting point is 00:17:10 i feel like white people and i know it's a lot of y'all listening when you move into a community that you're gentrifying you gotta you have to understand that the neighborhood is what it is and it was what it was before you got here it's not yours it's not your neighborhood to be like this noise this is not noise to you this is this is culture for us sis this this this is ambiance this is this is hood asmr okay this is what we do a couple years ago i had a roommate a white roommate also blonde i think she had blue gray green eyes um and she yeah it was like all the colors it was roy g biv eyes and she um the i had a neighbor downstairs who would like yell at his girlfriend and she would yell at him and the baby was crying and he would do tattoos below like he
Starting point is 00:18:02 was doing like he had like a tattoo gun and he's like like doing tattoo parties and he was yelling and she was like oh my god should we call the cops and i was like do you know how long i've lived here and first of all i've never called the cops in my life why i don't even know the number to 9-1-1 i've never called the police and she had been in the apartment for i want to say three maybe four weeks and she was like should we call the cops she said i'm gonna call the cops i said no i don't think you should do that i think you should mind your business um and she was like but it's like i don't know it's it's really loud down there and i was like if you call the cops don't say this apartment number okay you know you call the cops don't say nothing about where
Starting point is 00:18:42 you're calling from i hear her get on not on on the phone i hear her say 3a i say the fuck is wrong with you the cops come obviously they come and the man comes upstairs the guy comes upstairs and is like you called the fucking cops on me yeah and i'm looking at him because you know i i opened the door he's yelling i'm like i don't know you why you open the door i would have stayed in the room i don't know nothing sis i opened the door or maybe she opened the door i don't remember who opened the door but i was standing there when he was yelling because i needed to see and you know she she looking at me i'm looking at her um i'm like well sir i i don't know nothing about what you're talking about he's like yeah you know welcome to flatbush and she's like this is
Starting point is 00:19:29 actually prospect lefferts oh my god i can't you come into this community you renaming it what they rename this is actually prospect south um and that's what your realtor told you that's what zillow said that's what street easy told you i said you gotta go you she was there for like a year and then she she left because she learned that i was charging her more than me for the rent but you know that's neither here nor there no there if you can't take the heat get out of the flatbush yeah all right um but that's what people do they uh they complain and they don't need to and we'd love to see it um not everything is a yelp review babe that's just what i'm gonna say not everything is a yelp review sometimes it's just gotta you gotta keep it pushing and sis if
Starting point is 00:20:14 you want to live in a nice neighborhood whoever you are wherever you are you gotta have nice neighborhood money don't come to the hood trying to make it nice right don't come don't make the hood nice the hood is working for us because it's affordable and there's uh there's good food around the corner there's a beauty supply store open late the the bodega man will hold your keys for you yeah i don't need your yogi studio ruining uh you know my vim okay thank you i want my vim because I want my sneakers for $28. For $28. $28 cash only.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Yeah. Anyway, Dee, what were you an expert in this week? Well, I mean, I've been going back and forth, but I think I can wrap it all into one. Well, maybe give us some of the options
Starting point is 00:21:06 and we'll talk them through. Okay, so the main two things that I've been an expert on this week, I've been bullshitting a lot. Yes, girl. talk about it welcome um i'm being a little petty but whatever that'll come later and then but the second one is acting like i'm rich when i don't really got it like that yes yes yes i have no boundaries so i think it's it's about being uh acting yeah my my expertise was acting rich when i know i'm poor okay acting rich acting quote quote like i swear i'm rich because i
Starting point is 00:21:38 keep online shopping because there's nothing to do and i really need to chill i'm online shopping is the devil dude yeah for real but truly amazon is the devil and we all know this but like amazon is the devil because the shipping is so fast and returning is so easy so when you try to support another website and you're they're like shipping's gonna take a week you're like oh week what is it oh seven days and it's like you can wait seven and you're like you're like uh-uh and i gotta pay for shipping and it's like i need that picture frame right now i need that picture frame right now i didn't buy the actual print that i'm gonna put in that picture frame but i need the picture frame right fucking now so yesterday yeah yeah i don't know
Starting point is 00:22:23 what it is it's like that's the thing you know what it is this is what i think it really is because i'm actually pretty good with online shopping but i've been reading fucking mariah carrie's book and i think i'm her now okay hold on now please i'm gonna stop you there i'm gonna stop you there please talk about this Mariah Carey book because we all know that her book is probably has some some of the best fables and fallacies what's in the book fallacies all of the best uh uh antonyms the source.com whatever you know she's a wordy one but it's it's amazing it's amazing she talks about her affair with Derek Jeter all of the songs that we love are about derrick jeter my all honey the rule wait my all my all is about derrick herpes jeter
Starting point is 00:23:09 yes girl yeah he's the original usher sis yes he's gotta let it burn gotta let it burn yes he got the let it burn derrick jeter yeah he he burned uh he burned first so usher could walk he burned so usher could sizzle i was just gonna say that yo i love it i was like he burned so he could sizzle no but yeah so like she's just so extravagant and elaborate that i'm just like
Starting point is 00:23:39 i want to be mariah so i don't know how to sing so my way of doing it is i'm just trying to be fancy and shit so i don't you know wait d you bought the book and you got the audio book yes so listen listen yes girl i can't that's what i'm saying i think i'm rich but i'm not well let us see
Starting point is 00:23:55 can you pass the audio book uh code this way so we can listen to it absolutely it's like some audible shit but i think if you connect my like can you can you airdrop the mariah carey i'm gonna airdrop a couple pages i'm gonna get a little sample screenshot the best pages for us got you but it's yo it's an amazing book she talks about tommy mottola and how he was so controlling like she was literally in a controlling environment abusive environment emotionally and and everything i don't think he i don't think he was beating her up though but she couldn't do anything on her own she talks about a story where her jermaine dupri and the brat like in the early ages of the brat she was 19 they were all in her when um the brat was not gay when she said she wasn't wasn't straight
Starting point is 00:24:38 we knew that she was gay yes so you know she talks she used to uh refer to her home with tommy mottola her first husband as sing sing so sing sing is like is used to be like that popular prison upstate and it was like really bad so she used to call it sing sing and it was like a double entendre because all she had to do was sing sing and write and then obviously it was torture so there was a sing sing and she never was really around people her age and she was never around black people and that's what she was so hungry for because she was like she was just missing a complete half of her because she was always around these older white men or whatever because she was boring she was missing seasonings yeah she needed the seasoning she was tired of beige
Starting point is 00:25:16 so she needed to get out and they just it was the simplest thing she was like let's go get french fries but she had to do like concoct an elaborate plan just to get the brat
Starting point is 00:25:25 out of the house like they had to do like create a diversion and then they just went to Burger King to get some fries and it became like a thing the people like
Starting point is 00:25:32 pulled out the guns and Jermaine Dupri while he was still in the studio he was only like 23 at the time and then the brat was like girl you were Ryan Carey like you played two number one hit albums
Starting point is 00:25:40 like you can be living like this for french fries work D give us the whole fucking book I'ma tell you the whole book You're the expert of Mariah Carey's new book I am the expert of Mariah Carey's new book The Audible
Starting point is 00:25:53 First of all, the Audible is amazing Because she sings And she sings And it's not the best singing Maybe we should do it Maybe we should get the book It's not the best, it's acapella But we still sing
Starting point is 00:26:07 She got nerve Wait, when she's reading in the audiobook Can you hear her drinking champagne? Can you hear her? You can hear a slight bubble and sizzling now. No, I think she's kind of sober now. I think she's on the Daniel fast or something like that. I love Mariah Carey.
Starting point is 00:26:27 I could always tell when she's drinking because I feel like everybody, when they're drinking, they get really puffy, no? Yeah. But our good sis has been puffy for a moment, no? I think she's doing better now because I saw her on the Oprah thing recently and she didn't look as puffy, so I think she's good. Let me check her Instagram. let me check her Instagram real quick
Starting point is 00:26:46 Dee I'm actually surprised I didn't know that you were a lamb oh I'm like the biggest lamb oh okay well we have to connect you with our good friend Mateo Mateo Lane Mateo Lane is a huge lamb also a lamb he's seen Mariah perform live several times oh my gosh he was in the elevator
Starting point is 00:27:02 with Mariah Carey shut up been disappointed at all the concerts but keeps going back yeah I'm ready to be disappointed like I would like to go to one I would also like to see Mariah Carey perform i would i think i would enjoy i would enjoy it yeah i think so too it's not for the content just for the nostalgia and the comedy of it all but the name of the book is the meaning of mariah
Starting point is 00:27:27 carey it's wonderful and even like the chapter when she talks about her breakdown and glitter like the chapters are all so like cheeky she's like all that glitters you know because it's like all that glitters isn't gold like there's so many double entendres i'm like this woman is a walking the stories i love it yo d i went to i clicked the first thing i've clicked on mariah's page i see you commented many many hearts we love to see that we love when we see the breadcrumbs of like obsession on the page i got my makeup done obsessed with me i got my makeup done once by her makeup artist like she's actually dominican young from new york whatever and i i got to meet her in LA there's not a lot of Dominicans so when I find
Starting point is 00:28:10 one it's like a thing and then I found that she was Mariah Carey's like recent makeup artist so she did my thing for this project that I was working on and I was trying to get all the tea from her like it was like but now I think like me and the girl were cool but I think I came off too strong cause like the other day she went
Starting point is 00:28:25 you can't show people the crazy up top because then you're a liability cause it's like well I told you and now you're telling everybody oh but no no I don't tell what she told well she didn't tell me anything she's good on that she signed an NDA she signed an NDA and she wants to keep
Starting point is 00:28:42 doing Mariah Carey's makeup she also saw the crazy in your eyes and she said yeah I'm gonna fall all the way back into the bushes I can tell by your accent you from the Bronx I won't tell you nothing about Ms. Carey not today
Starting point is 00:28:56 not during this smoky eye I'm gonna get it out of her maybe I am the expert of Mariah Carey this week okay so did you finish the book no not yet but i'm like i'm i would say like a 20 minute read or i listen to the audiobook like i'm in the last chapter i mean the the best part of mariah carey is when she had uh the first breakdown because i think she's had several um she had a whole song called break break down but she she had that breakdown during glitter and i mean it's hard putting out
Starting point is 00:29:33 a bad movie. I've never been like a part of a bad movie but I've been a part of some bad sets and it's just like you know the backlash that she was getting because she was really she really thought it was good. She thought it
Starting point is 00:29:49 was a great script. Well she had the breakdown before the movie even came out. Was this the breakdown when she did TRL? Yeah. She tried blaming like the the failure of glitter on 9-11 yeah yes yeah insane because it's the same week yes i mean i guess you can kind of blame it yeah the movie came out september 11th 2001 yes you can definitely i think blame it on 9-11 yeah yeah but even the towers fell so three
Starting point is 00:30:18 so three towers fell there is an there is an iconic video online where it's like a picture ad of glitter and then it pans up to the Twin Towers. Can you send me that right now? It's insane. Andrew, the fact that you know this is so amazing. It's the most iconic video of all time. I gotta find this.
Starting point is 00:30:36 I need to see the video. But also, it's just like even if 9-11 didn't happen, it was a bad movie. It was cheeky. Who was going to the movie theaters the day that 9-11 happened? No, that whole weekend, nobody was going to
Starting point is 00:30:52 nobody was going to the movies nobody was going to the movie because it happened mad early going into the city it happened at like nine o'clock in the morning or eight o'clock in the morning it did okay i see this video oh oh i found it i love god ruined ruined who found that well you remember jennifer lopez i bet you jennifer lopez caught this and was like let me let the world see oh my god the second tower had already been struck wow yeah i don't know why i thought glitter came out longer like before that or actually i never thought they just sabotaged her completely it was it was sami matola he wasn't trying to like do what they had to do and they had just filed for divorce right before the movie came out so he was trying
Starting point is 00:31:37 to see her fail regardless so there was like a concoction of things that led up to the disaster of the movie and her breakdown like she ain't got nobody she ain't got no people her parents a family they all have problems yeah well i mean that's what happens when you have the the yes men the people who are trying to get a check the people who are just trying to stay on and be relevant they will let you be messy boom cat boom boots and they'll be there for the destruction and the demise of everything that you put together yeah because the fact that she i remember when she was having that who's her manager's daughter do her social media do her instagram oh i didn't know that you don't remember that oh because that was in her show she had a whole show didn't she fire
Starting point is 00:32:24 her manager finally oh that was on the e-show right yes like italian chick yeah i know what you're talking about they're not friends they had a falling out she called me of course they had a falling out i saw the show i was like there's no way i would never my manager's daughter should not be anywhere near anything that I'm doing. I'm a multi millionaire entrepreneur. I'm not going to have a 14 year old handle
Starting point is 00:32:51 my Instagram even though sometimes. It sounds like you have a problem with kids Sydney. I feel like a 14 year old is probably the best person to do your Instagram honestly. They know all the new filters. They know what the best time to post is. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:33:06 They do know the best time to post and whatnot. I think a child. No but the things that she was posting Mariah Carey would see like she would get messages and people would be like girl what are you going through what I'm going through it's actually Anastasia she is going through my Instagram
Starting point is 00:33:23 and not me but she would post like unflattering photos and cause she would think they were cool it's like oh your ass is showing it's like no no no no no I'm 40 years old I don't want my ass showing I'm sorry are we talking about
Starting point is 00:33:39 Mariah Carey who does want her ass showing who are y'all talking about Mariah Carey wants her midriff showing she don't want her booty cheeks out she wants everybody to think that she's a size 2 but she don't want her booty cheeks out Mariah wants
Starting point is 00:33:55 top titty side titty under titty she wants the belly showing she wants you know she wants the face to look real tight everything yes amazing iconic I love it okay but i'm just gonna i'm just gonna go here and say first of all we are normal people compared to mariah carey who's been in the spotlight forever in her most of her life
Starting point is 00:34:21 yeah and we're able to age gracefully one because we are brown but also two because we're not in the spotlight like that so after a while you and three were not the same age as mariah carey also that too that that as well but the record show yeah the the record is on but it's just like you see all these 4k cameras they have no respect they will catch every crevice every hole it i mean i've seen so many celebrities that have bumps of cocaine in their nose that like you the naked eye could not see but the 4k camera has picked up whoa it's a lot bump bump I'm not into this 4k because honestly I think I'm cute but when I look at myself like I did a live yesterday with Sasha and I was looking you look great like I looked oily and no sis stop yes but you say you say
Starting point is 00:35:15 oily we say dewy and you're glowing glowing you look very moisturized I don't know what I was I was I can't do too much powder because I got a little bit of white in me so when I put too much powder than i look like powder like it's just i look older i look like i'm just waking up in ortiz funeral you're giving us the mummy yeah yeah i can't i can't do too much powder i gotta leave it i'd rather be oily than dry yeah i got that i got them i got that wobb them wet ass pores yeah yeah same same same which there's nothing wrong with that there's nothing wrong but i just i just feel like they give celebrities like her and little kim and um who else the so many white women that just have too much botox and all the real housewives every it's just i mean we we come
Starting point is 00:36:04 from privilege like we get to look like whatever walk outside nobody is doing we don't have paparazzi nobody's catching at me i'm i hear what you're saying but i gotta disagree with you boo we we're not we it's not that we come from privilege we come from a place of self-esteem and i think that when because mariah carey severely she mariah carey has issues with her self-esteem and little kim has severe issues with her self-esteem these women are yes they're in the limelight yes you know you you know that there's these crazy cameras on you but before the cameras were on kim she was cute before the cameras were on mariah she was cute these people were are adorable but yeah there are things are said to them the people who are they were in the
Starting point is 00:36:50 90s sis we were just it doesn't mean anything it doesn't the time it's easy to say that you have self-esteem when you got to grow up with people around you who are like normal people we don't have strangers telling us left and right what we look like what we dance like what we sing we didn't have random people just coming up to us if you it is privilege but it wasn't random people that were coming up to little kim that made her get plastic surgery it's the people she was dating it's people that were in her life is biggie it's the people that he was cheating on her with it's people that were telling her that she was ugly and that she was too dark and she you know she didn't look like faith evans it's not random people these are people in her life
Starting point is 00:37:28 that she knew that's in her life and also the industry to be a dark-skinned woman in the 90s I don't know if you saw the foundation that they was putting on people. I was just going to say, people was looking bad. You can look at girlfriends and see that Tracee Ellis Ross always looked amazing and everybody else who was dark skinned had a foundation that was how many shades lighter? Oh, 100%. And the lighting being racist, too. It was fucked up.
Starting point is 00:37:53 It's not for us. All of that stuff messes with you. It's not just the people who are talking to her. It's the photos. It's the being in the light. It's the being on stage. It's not just... I'm not saying that it's just the people in her life that are doing that.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Yes, all those other factors play a part, but every single dark-skinned woman in Hollywood is not getting plastic surgery to do what these women are doing. You cannot say that everybody who also experiences those things goes out and changes their faces completely. It's a lot of them, Marie. It is a lot. And the Labassette has plastic surgery.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Kelly Rowland has plastic surgery Janet Jackson has plastic surgery but the stuff that they do is small the stuff that they do is cosmetic they're not building brand new faces Janet Jackson has a new face darling she has a new face
Starting point is 00:38:49 that's also a self esteem thing her brother had a completely new face he looked like a white lady when he passed away these are facts that's the environment Michael Jackson looked like the ghost of a white lady when he passed away He was already, you know, rest in peace, but you know. He looked like Lisa Marie Presley when he passed.
Starting point is 00:39:08 May he rest in peace. Honey, you look like your wife. May she rest in peace. But I'm saying everybody who's in the industry has to deal with these things. And black women, we're not the standard of beauty in this country or in the world. There's a problem with our skin being too dark, our noses being too wide, our hair being too coarse, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And yes, everyone's getting a little bit of a tweak, a little bit of a nose job.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Beyonce has gotten work done. And everybody that you can think of who's in entertainment has probably tweaked something. Beyonce did get a nose job, right? Yes, she did. And I feel like when I see Beyonce now, like when she did that speech for the college kids or whatever. Her lips, too.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Her face is looking, it's like little differences every time you see her. And it's like, is that Tina? Well, Mama Knowles got a whole new face and new body. I was about to bring her up. Yes, absolutely. She looks more and more like her mother. Marie, are you saying that you would never do anything?
Starting point is 00:39:59 no filler no no botox no nothing no i didn't say that but i'm not gonna build a brand new face because i'm dying to get some shit done why d what would you get done i want it all the girl bye what would you get you would get some new some cheek implants nah nah well honestly i don't want filler but like a bbl or like no like a like a jada pinkett cheek thing oh my god no jada pinkett I feel, I like Jada, but I don't like her plastic surgery. She don't look good to me anymore. But I would say, I would do some stuff.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Like, I have done one thing. It already faded, but I did filler underneath my eyes. It's called, like, the tear trough filler. Me too. Because I have very indented, like, this area under my eyes is very indented. Should I get filler, Dee? No, you don't need it. Mine was really bad.
Starting point is 00:40:48 It was, like, really concave. It looked bad. It's already leaving. I can see it. but I did do it and I liked how I look and I'm willing to do it again at a certain point. And I would like a little bit of Botox on my forehead. I have a very expression
Starting point is 00:41:01 feel. I make a lot of facial expressions when I'm speaking. But you have bangs. Why do you need Botox on your forehead? Because I'm getting rid of these bangs. I'm changing my whole look for 2021. I'm actually over the curly everything. I'm telling you. I'm doing a Mariah when she went from curly Mariah
Starting point is 00:41:17 to slick Mariah and honey. Okay, you're going to give us Sydney waves. i'm gonna give you sydney waves yeah or maybe just like straight straight straight but yeah for sure i'm tired of this look at this but not look at this bayang i can't i like do you like your bayang thank you i love it though i like i like curly hair yeah yeah that might could just be me um okay so you would get filler and you would get your you would get botox on your forehead i would just mostly get a little bit of botox on my forehead and but not yet but eventually yeah i
Starting point is 00:41:50 want botox on my forehead i definitely do sydney what would you get done um i just want botox on my forehead and uh fillers underneath my eyes that's it why do you want botox on your forehead oh my god let's go together um because i i've like frowned a lot or i'm like i'm thinking a lot i don't know what the hell it is but i i definitely have lines on my forehead i definitely have i don't understand i don't understand what the problem with having lines on your forehead is um literally i have lines on my forehead while i'm listening to you guys talk what is the issue with forehead lines um you look good no sis it's just like sometimes if i don't sleep enough which is often and i wake up with these lines on my forehead i look like i smoked like
Starting point is 00:42:33 three packs of marlboro reds like i just don't like it but are those pillow lines on your forehead i'm so confused i just can't somebody they wrinkles they just there look at that i got I got three of them right there yeah but they only show up if you raise your eyebrows which is often I'm always like I'm always shocked me too I like having expression
Starting point is 00:42:54 that's the only problem with Botox is that people could tell that you have it because your forehead is not moving at all even your eyebrows can't even really move if they do a really good job y'all are doing a terrible job of convincing me that
Starting point is 00:43:10 this this forehead surgery botox is necessary like you just don't like it that's the only reason why you would do it i think it makes me look older the lines yeah the lines they don't like it's like the lines of a tree trunk that's what it is and and it's the same lines that people be having on their necks yo you guys this is crazy you guys sound crazy to me right now i need a turtleneck for my forehead hold up yeah that's called that's called a bang the turtleneck for your forehead is a bang sister there it is i mean marie who is stunning like everybody on the call it just has no don't do that don't do that i i like listening to d talk about filler under her eyes i'm like maybe i should get some filler under my eyes but botox on my forehead i don't
Starting point is 00:44:01 understand that but you don't got the lines yeah i do have the look d you do like this with your forehead you see what i'm doing everybody gets those okay okay no no no now put your head down put put your forehead down see they're still there they're still there they're faint no i see them everything no they're still there i see them they are right there and i'm not like yeah i didn't even like y'all are giving women who are listening okay the random women who are listening another thing that they're in the mirror looking at right now like do i girl by they was already looking at we are not the inventors of botox right it's been going on for ages i'm not saying that you guys are the inventors of botox i wasn't even thinking about my forehead lines until y'all said that
Starting point is 00:44:47 you were going to get them done because you think they're ugly and they make you look old that's what i'm saying so the same way that you were saying the industry and random people are making celebrities get botox you talking about botox is also making other people who weren't thinking about it potentially want to get bowtie well sis who brought up the question you did you asked d what would you get done that's the only reason why we answering it i'm not sis sis you being real combative with me since i said that that note was not um i don't give a damn about that note we're we're having a conversation and i feel like you're being real defensive about your forehead lines i'm not saying i'm not being defensive all right i mean you're saying you're
Starting point is 00:45:25 saying that we're giving women something else to think about but if the question wasn't posed then we wouldn't be talking about it we're having a conversation on a podcast yeah i'm saying i'm i can't even speak for these other women who are listening i'm saying me marie samuel foxness specifically never thought about four headlines until having this conversation with you guys and you're saying that because i asked the question that i caused this so you're saying that we planted the seed and making people want to go get I'm saying that it's something
Starting point is 00:45:58 that a lot of people might not necessarily have been thinking about and now it's something because other people alright Sydney I'm not doing this with you Andrew what do you think no I'm with you Marie on this one obviously the only not I'm the only non-female on the call but I think
Starting point is 00:46:14 I'm with Marie on this one I think that like you're bringing up everyone on the call all three of you are very very beautiful and so i feel like the fact that people are going to be listening to this and they're going to be like oh my god these women are like not really i don't know identifying the fact that they're beautiful already and they don't need to do all these things might like be a red flag since i know that i'm a 10 i know i'm a 10 yeah i'm a 10 but i'm not gonna sit here and be like
Starting point is 00:46:40 these are not things that to me what i don't like about the the um oh everybody is beautiful blah blah blah let's let's be let's be more positive it's like this is something that i think about so now i have to stop what i think this is what i personally believe that i don't like on my forehead you can like it on your forehead i just don't like it so i'm not supposed to say what i don't like on my body that's that's weird what but what made you not like it about your did somebody say something no no i just don't like the lines i don't like the lines on my forehead i don't like it i remember when i didn't i remember when i didn't like my nose for a long time and then i and then i grew into it i was like no my nose is beautiful it's gorgeous my nose i
Starting point is 00:47:26 used to hate my nose but people have phases i would never touch my nose i would never get a nose job this is the one thing that i would say right like i am not here to advocate for plastic surgery or not having plastic surgery i think everybody should do whatever the hell they want to do um i i don't think i'm ever going to be the type of person to actually inject like an object in me like i don't i don't think about breast implants or a bbl i don't think about you know anything like body wise or whatever um and i don't want any fillers like to change the shape of my face because now they have things that reconstruct your whole jaw you know everything i don't want that i don't want to change it i have a little bit of a crooked lip i like it i leave my lip
Starting point is 00:48:02 like that like i don't want to do you don't have a crooked lip no no it's it's cute it's charming but anyway it's a little imperfect but it's nice but so i'm not i'm not it i'm not gonna build a face and the thing about botox is that it does wear off it does you have to have the upkeep for it you had to maintain it yeah and i'm not i'm not gonna do that now i don't want to do it now or even like next year i think i'm gonna wait until like i'm well into my late 30s or 40s because once you start you have to keep going exactly you have to keep going it's just something that i've thought about i think though as women or just human beings we all have our insecurities and it's something like i'm not telling people yo your forehead is crunchy like
Starting point is 00:48:43 i'm not here to tell you to do that um i'm just talking about myself and you know i would i would do it and i kind of see like to bring it back to the original discussion we are talking about like little kim getting all this extensive plastic surgery and other celebrities but i do think that when you are in the limelight is you can have the highest self-esteem but sometimes things do get to you and then especially like the more you we all do things that we see ourselves on camera we've been like oh my hair is crazy or this and this and that so you do become like a little bit more critical of yourself yes and i'm not saying that's a good thing but i will be lying if i said i would never get plastic surgery in the next time i'm on the unofficial expert i got a flat
Starting point is 00:49:20 ass face you know what i'm like hi guys how you doing you know i'm just trying to keep it a buck i'm gonna be like hey can you put d on the line i'm not sure who you are ma'am you look gorge but um yeah when i was little i hated my nose i thought my nose was too big for my face and i would pray that i would wake up with a different nose and i would yeah and i would um i planned i planned to get plastic surgery to change my nose completely it was gonna be skinnier here and it was gonna come up a little bit at the end and it was gonna look you know it's gonna be like my bar mitzvah nose because i think that's when the jewish girls were doing it like 20 birthday so i uh and then i and then i got glasses and my everybody was like your nose is so tiny
Starting point is 00:50:04 because you can only see like a little piece of it yeah and now people will randomly compliment me on it from time to time you do have a cute nose thank you so much but but yesterday i posted a picture of me as a kid and somebody in the dms was like did you get your nose done and i said this is my nose and she said it doesn't look the same and so you know sometimes god answers prayers yeah we grow into we grow into our faces too like your kid like kids you get like um sometimes you get like the baby face and then you get when you go to college you got the freshman 15 or whatever and then when you get an adult and everything slims out and you you know you work out you eat better you like it just it's just different but for me when i got my breast done the first time
Starting point is 00:50:52 i i was like oh yes i want to breast so bad and then i started looking every single day at my breast and i was like uh-uh this is not how i wanted it it's changing every day it looks weird and then i got it done again and so it's like how soon after you how soon a year because you have to wait a year you can't you can't get it done right away i mean some people some people can they got the money to talk about it to do it what they want but they my doctor was like you need to wait a year because you don't know how it's going to settle and you don't know what's the finished product the unfinished product of it and then i got it done again and like once you start you become obsessed you start looking at shit that you you weren't even looking at your
Starting point is 00:51:35 areolas like that and then then you're like well maybe if i spread them out a little bit they are a little lopsided like it's just crazy like it's it's not just so going back to Mariah Carey or whatever it's like once you start a little bit then it it will tumble into something bigger and then you know you start taking pills and drinking so that you won't think about the shit that you were thinking about and it just it's an all downhill downhill spiral so I blame to people yeah i mean i also think that there are people who have done great plastic surgery tiana tiana taylor's new nose is one of my favorite black girl hollywood noses that are new um she did something cute and um she looks cute uh dawn richards from danny d cane got a completely
Starting point is 00:52:25 different face and personality now and she's cute but like she don't look like what she was when making the band started or have you seen delicious from flavor of love no what is she doing i follow her on her instagram she's all about family she's actually married to one of the central park five i just found that out recently yes i thought you were gonna say a pastor i really thought you were gonna say oh yeah d she looks completely different don't look like delicious all i keep thinking about is new york being like and that mustache over her lip is thicker than flames but she don't look like she got a mustache anymore she looks amazing but you know what i think is going to happen with all the plastic surgery that all these women are getting everyone is going to
Starting point is 00:53:09 morph into having the same exact face and then we're going to be ugly the black girls are looking like the white girls the white girls are looking like the black girls the latinas looking like everybody everybody looks this is the same face and the same makeup so many plastic surgeons say that people come in to look like Kim Kardashian. At one point, people wanted to look like Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez
Starting point is 00:53:35 and he's like, the main people they want to come in is Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian. And it's like, well, who is, what picture is Kim bringing in when she comes in? Because it's not the one she wants. Which year? What year of Kim? Yeah, which era Kim? Nah, but honestly, I do,
Starting point is 00:53:50 I agree with you. I think that everyone's going to look the same to the point that like if you a little ugly you're gonna be pretty because you're different like you're unique and honestly you'll be surprised like you know in this day and age where social media is making everybody get plastic filters and the filters um it it really does look like there's a whole bunch of clones of people like i remember the first time i went to beverly hills and i was looking around like i have a thing for noses i think i told you this before i love me a nose like i like a big ass nose i don't know why and and i was sitting in this restaurant and i was
Starting point is 00:54:24 looking around me i think it's like in some fucking fancy shit and everyone had the same nose it's like everyone went to the same doctor it was the same nose the same wavy hair the same super snatch waist with a big fat butt like a whole bunch of mini kims and then you that was i remember one girl who walked in i think she her name was darlene adina shut up no but there was some chick that came in and she was like skinny like got some boho chic shit and she was the one you know what i mean like because she didn't look like everyone else and everybody was like whoa so i do think that there's gonna be like a shift from like everybody looking like this and then people gonna want to look like sign outs i i agree with that i think
Starting point is 00:55:04 that there is going to be a shift because you're gonna be uh exotic it's gonna be exotic to show up in your regular body with just size 25 waist yeah and your butt that matches your thighs and people are gonna be like who is that they're gonna be like oh my god vintage who is that it's gonna be her name is marie faustin yeah her name is maria faustin look at the waist look at well look at but d look at my butt it's like yeah i i yes yes you know if i suck in i could be a 25 i used to be a 24 i don't know what i am now but i just know that you're probably like a 26 sydney honestly it's really not you're not big i'm not sure what you little petite horse i'm over it i'm a big old 10 i'm a 30 okay that's not that far from me sis where i'm basically we can share jeans
Starting point is 00:55:54 yeah why do your jeans fit on one guy d i was watching your stories the other day you're getting rid of a bunch of clothes in your closet you're like this dress is a size two i said yeah i was like why you didn't give it to your sisters over here i did mention that it was very stretchy and i would i have so many things i'm trying to get rid of and i'm not doing that selling thing anymore because i did sell every piece like everything that i put up oh great yeah but i forgot about shipping to him yeah girl that's why you got to put that's why you got it included yeah yeah i know i had like to some people i did but for most of the people i had um already told them and i just wanted to keep my word or whatever so do you got to start lying
Starting point is 00:56:37 yeah because that's all your prices and i was like sis this is real low it was so low actually one of the jackets uh i i was like i lied i told the person oh my bad i gotta give it to my sister but i'm not letting this go like this is like a truly nice jacket it had like yeah pictures it was like a magic city jacket like grace jones and black china like sex and i'm like i'm selling this for 20 like nah i forgot it so i kept it i never wear it but i kept it fuck that yeah um i mean i think that there are options too about like i don't know how like what the thrifting situation what the consignment situation is up there by you but you can also bring them to a consignment shop and they'll give you money for them and sell them yeah a little buffalo exchange or something
Starting point is 00:57:17 little buffalo yeah places that i haven't been to in a while um i miss the stores i miss trying stuff on at the store and then knowing i'm not gonna buy it but i'm taking pictures in it i'm tired of returning shit no i'm not tired of returning stuff if i i have to get stuff out of my apartment yeah me too so i'll i'll buy it and be like because we don't need it i really need yeah it's not necessary um what's the what's the last thing you guys bought for your house or you ordered online for yourself um i bought curtains and a curtain rod last night same and up and oh i bought a leather pillow this is goes back to my original uh thing i think i'm rich i bought a leather pillow yeah wait like a pillow leather pillow i think it was a it was a cover it
Starting point is 00:58:03 was a cover but it was like an 80 pillow wait you need from where west elm where you get this pillow from uh i don't know no i don't think it was west palm i really don't think it was like joss and main or like wayfair one of those two um but it was nice there was like a faux leather one that was like 30 and it was nice but the other one just looked rich and should i get a leather pillow for my blue velvet couch yes that's why i got it well then that's perfect because okay look i'm bad don't talk to me about this shit so i got a i got a green velvet couch and i recently bought uh like a brown leather like accent chair so i feel like if i get like a green velvet i want to like you know the track so i was like i got a green velvet one from wayfair too and it's cheap
Starting point is 00:58:46 it was like 20 but when i saw the leather one and it was the same exact color as the cat of the sea and it was mad nice so i was like i need it like the details i was like i need it it's 80 but i need it oh i don't know if i want to pay you dollars but i literally just looked up leather pillow i had a 17 dollar wait i had a 17 dollar wayfair credit though so it was i justified it like that but the credit was for something that you had already returned so you had already spent the money so you didn't save any money d i didn't know it was there so it was a nice surprise listen it's my carry's fault it ain't mine i'm just trying to be luxurious like her like i'm drinking And only sparkling water from now on.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Like, that's all I drink now. Which is another thing. So, like, I'm kind of sober now. Like, I'm not drinking. I haven't drank in, like, three years. Okay, come on, Amina. Let's go. Amina's not drinking either?
Starting point is 00:59:38 Well, she goes through waves. Yeah, she's, you know. The last time I drank was actually with you, Marie. Oh, right before your birthday? Yeah, right before my birthday. That was a lot. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I'm lying.
