Welcome to Radio Rental.
The scariest stories you've ever heard in your life,
all told by real people.
Oh, and off we go.
On one side of me, I have these people whispering to each other,
staring at me,
and then the other side I have this distaste man gurgling.
I was afraid that something was trying to trick me and lure me down there,
and I had no idea what I would feel.
mind if I walk down to that pond.
Zach, there are people outside the room talking.
Radio rental is available now.
Listen for free on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, Zebulon, could we get some, you know, getting people to subscribe to the Patreon music?
That's a wonderful idea, Casper.
About a year ago, some friends of mine and I launched Midnight Burger, an audio,
drama about a time-traveling, dimension-spanning diner.
We met Gloria, who had just lost her tacharia to the pandemic.
I saw the ad, and for some reason a diner out in the middle of nowhere, sounded like a good idea.
We met Leaf, the Galactic Drifter.
I was in a card game in Andromeda, which we all know is a shit hole.
We met Ava, the rogue theoretical physicist.
You know what we called the zoologist back in school?
Pooplookers?
You want to know why?
Because they looked at a lot of poop.
at a lot of poop.
We met a sentient old-timey radio
that somehow talks back to you.
Oh, look, a beautiful wooden horse
they have given us as a gift.
Let us not look into it too much.
What could possibly go wrong?
And we met some guy named Casper.
Earth is the bar and roadhouse
before Patrick Swayze shows up.
There was never a dull moment at Midnight Burger.
They went to strange planets
and were hunted by monsters.
Holy shit.
Really big monsters.
Zero irony.
They went to Harlan County, Kentucky
and survived.
an attack from the X.
Stand back.
She might explode.
I obviously deserve better than you.
They narrowly escaped an alternate reality earth where ads are mandatory.
Can you hide me somewhere?
This desperate plea is brought to you by Arby's.
Arbys, we have the meats.
They discovered a hidden dimension inside their deep freeze.
Holy shit.
There's a pocket dimension in the deep hole.
And they sailed into the dark heart of a supermassive black hole.
I have five theories about one.
What awaits us inside the black hole?
Would you like to hear them?
I really wouldn't.
Over the course of 10 episodes, people started discovering us.
Posts started popping up on Reddit.
Then we were hitting the top 20 on Apple's charts.
Then the top 10.
And then, a few times, number one.
And then the Guardian labeled us a must-listen indie podcast.
The response was overwhelming.
And now, as we go into season two,
starting in November, we're asking for your help.
Midnight Burger will always be free to listen to, but it's not free to make.
And for as little as $2 a month, you can help us make Midnight Burger even better than before.
Just go to patreon.com slash midnight burger, and you can get early access to shows, access to our
behind-the-scenes podcast, Shift Notes.
This is where we listen to the show, and I basically revisit all of my terrible editing
choices. And of course our
unending gratitude.
In our story, one day
you're walking down the street and then
suddenly there's a diner.
We started making Midnight Burger
and then suddenly
there was all of you.
We're hoping you can help us out
at patreon.com
slash midnight burger.
And if time and courses
leave you with no safe havens,
just remember
we're out there somewhere.
We open at six.
The Fable and Folly Network, where fiction producers flourish.
Welcome to Magenta Presents, a new horror anthology hosted by me, Madam Magenta.
We begin with the five-part miniseries Ghosted, starring Beth Eyre and Lucy Roslyn.
Perched on a rain-battered cliff edge is a former lighthouse.
It's a charming, quirky, boutique hotel.
Owner and sole occupant Beth has spent much.
months renovating, absorbing its essence into her bones.
It's an old building. You'll get used to it.
But to Beth's horror, her first guest is a figure from a past she has tried to forget.
Kira? Beth?
What the fuck?
Face to face for the first time in years.
The pair must reckon with old mistakes, old grievances.
Beth, speak to me.
Shut up, shut up, shut up!
And something else.
Oh, I can't bear it.
What is that noise?
Because the lighthouse has a past too.
Beth, he's right there.
Why is there blood on your hands?
We need to get out of here.
Kira!
Kira!
I can still see him.
