Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, million dollars worth of game listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen, ad free on Amazon Music. Right! You went from being a young rapper from the streets to now you represent so many brands out here and so many walks of life. Like, did you ever think it would be to this point? I mean, you can't say that you never did think it would be to this point.
Starting point is 00:00:30 It's just a matter of having imagination. Like, I imagineate a whole lot. I got a lot of imagination on me as far as, like, I dream of shit. And I manifest. I was told that I was a manifester that a lot of things that I bring to life are because I put them in the air. I make them come to life based off of existing in my mind and feeling like they already exists.
Starting point is 00:00:50 So I didn't think that it would be like this, but I knew it would be like this. You know what I'm saying? I knew it would be a position that I could hold in me. music and entertainment and just do some of the things that the grace before me had done because I wasn't just in the music I was in the culture so who was ever the man when I was a young whether was Muhammad Ali magic Johnson uh Richard Breyer whoever it was I always like we want to have a piece of each one of them because they were my icons they were my heroes when I was young and when I got the position of being in front of a spotlight I was like I want to do what they doing but to another
Starting point is 00:01:27 level because they could only take it so far because there was so many rules and regulations when they was in the game and we broke the rules and we made our own regulations I respect that because uh you know at the end of the day man you've been through so much like me growing up to your music you know I I remember when you was fighting the murder charges and you was you've been through so much and didn't look in the sea that you just got so many corporations that's invested it in you like to the youth that's just like a sign and you know like you could do any fucking thing you want to do out here man right but see what they got to understand is it's
Starting point is 00:02:07 a professionalism to it as well absolutely it's not walking to those office offices with the hood mentality it's walking to those offices with a business mentality right but keeping the hood in me at all time but remaining a businessman because you could fuck up opportunity too we've watched businessmen bully their way right out of position or either try to, you know, gang-bang their way into a higher position and lose out all the way around. Right. This industry respects business.
Starting point is 00:02:37 It respects, you know, originality. And that's what I'm about doing good business than being original about what I'm doing. And I feel like the shit that I went through as far as the losses that I took, they made me stronger and they made me a better businessman for me individually to teach that you've got to know the business. This is not who you know is what you know.
Starting point is 00:02:56 A lot of people feel like if I connect you with this person or I put you in the room with this person, but what are you going to do when you get in that room? It's the what you know that's the most important. And once I learned that this is called show business, I had the show down. Ricky Harris, Rest in Peaks, always used to tell me this shit when I was a young rapper.
Starting point is 00:03:12 He was like, Snoop, you got to learn this shit is called show business. You got the show, but you ain't got the business. And I used to always think about what that meant. And I wanted to practice on my business and making sure my business was strong enough to match my show. So now I feel like my show and my business is at the top of its level that they could be at. So now I can teach, educate, and give information through my examples of either fucking up or doing it right.
