Right.
Let's give it up for Floyd Maywanda.
Let's give it up, baby.
Yeah.
Money, money, money, money.
Make some noise for Floyd Mayweather show.
Hey, you know for the check.
Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up.
Before we even start, yes, I thought you was on our side.
You got here, too, Jadikis, now you.
I thought you was, I thought you was rocking with the ball.
I thought you was done.
You got to switch your look up.
You got to change it up.
Oh, baby.
I mean, him and kids cheating, man.
Him and kiss.
I mean, you can't stay the same.
You got to change it up.
We thought y'all was done.
Dion.
Deion said this.
We thought they was done.
They cheated.
They grew it back on us.
Listen, man, that's just crazy.
Now, we're going to get to it with the champ, right?
You made it happen.
Regardless with all that.
New Jersey, you're a kid.
One bedroom apartment.
seven people living in there
Yes
Did you ever think
From New Jersey
You were living with your mom
She was going at the time
Well actually
It all started in Michigan
Yeah
You know
Just having a dream
Believing
In myself
Believing in my skills
Believing in my talent
And also surrounding myself
With the right team
I had to surround myself
With the right people
and everything took flight, you know,
but just my mother being on crack.
Yeah.
My dad being shot when I was a kid.
You was there?
Actually, my dad was holding me when he got shot.
I was a kid, my dad picked me up
when my dad got shot.
Actually, my mother, brother shot my uncle.
And then,
When I was in Vegas, actually, I think it was somewhere around 2006, my same uncle that shot my daddy, he died in my house.
So, you know, I've been through a lot of ups and downs, but I beat all the odds.
How did you keep your mental from all the trauma that you witnessed?
Because that's just a little bit.
You had a lot of shit that you went through.
How did you keep your mental?
together. As a kid, you running in the streets, you're boxing, you're going to the gym,
your dad going to, how did you keep your mineral together from all that trauma?
I just say to myself, I just look at the people out here in the world today.
And a lot of times, we cry, we complain, we complain about things that's not really important.
We always worry about who got the most.
Who got this and who got that?
Instead of just standing in your own lane worrying about what you got.
So that's what I, you know, I try to do.
I try to focus on Floyd Mayweather.
I don't try to stay in,
I don't try to get in nobody else's lane.
I'm not jealous than nobody else.
And that's what I do.
Actually, what I did,
early on, you got to balance,
you got to balance on a small scale.
So what I was able to do was balance money on a small scale first.
I made some mistakes in the beginning,
but, you know, that comes with the territory.
then one of the best investments that I did was New York real estate.
So it started off with seven figures and I was getting a certain amount of money every month because, you know, when I get with my friends that's Jewish and I get with my friends, my white friends and my Jewish friends, I'm not with them.
I'm not trying to say, let me get on your plane or I like you.
your house, I said, you know what, show me how to get generational wealth and just being around
them, I, you know, I soaked up the game and I learned it. And just being with Al Hamer, Al Hamer played
a major, major part, you know, with helping me get to where I got to. You know, Al Hamer one day
just told me, you want to be the highest pay athlete? We'll do that. You want to go on Forbes as the top
top guy. We'll do that. But then, you know, along with Al and my Jewish friends and my and my
white friends, what we did was we built generational wealth. So my first investment, I came in, I put,
my first investment was $5 million, but that was years ago. I'm talking about years ago.
When I first gave them $5 million, I was getting $50,000 a month. So I said, yo, the money
kept coming on the 18th, every month, $50,000 will come in. I still was competing. I still was fighting.
was active and I still was making
crazy money
I told the guys
well I'm gonna bring y'all another
eight figures I'll say I'm gonna bring you guys
eight figures now I know I gave you guys
seven figures but I'm gonna bring you guys
eight figures but then it was
you just say that shit so easy
I'm gonna bring y'all eight figures
this ain't about nothing
the fuck it's pocket money
so it was
it was paying off
so what I did was
I wouldn't have dumped nine figures on them
So
He's talking about this
Like he went and got a sandwich
Yeah, I went and bought 10 sandwiches
For everybody and just
He said, boy, that shit ain't nothing to him
Yeah, so
Even like with my career
So when I dumped the nine figures on
When I gave him nine figures
Then eventually
I was getting
You know
Crazy seven figures every month
I'm still getting that to this day
But I put myself in a position
Where I said, you know what
Because when you see me, you see the cars, you see the flashy.
But it's a lot that comes along with that.
A lot of smart moves that's behind the scenes.
So what I did was I invested.
And so you guys, right now, you guys can, you guys can Google this.
You Google one Vanderbilt and Google Floyd Mayweather.
I'm a part of that project.
That's the tallest building in New York City.
So you, so, kid come up, all this trauma, American dream shit, too.
All his trauma, Michigan, to the Jersey, going through it, family going through it.
My own drugs.
Oh, mom's on drugs, dad going to penitentiary, and you own skyscrapers in New York City?
Yes.
Oh, my God.
Come on.
So everything is possible.
Anything is possible.
Anything is possible.
You know, um.
You know, I own so many different buildings in so many different places.
My exact number in New York City, I own nine skyscrapers in New York City.
Nine skyscrapers?
Yes.
Let me ask you this question.
He getting into him.
Do you think that would be possible if you never bought yourself out of the top rank contract?
Well, I bought myself on my contract for $750,000.
And in just three fights, I made $750 million.
so would you say that was maybe the biggest point in your career was because you had the talent you had all of that
I think the best thing about my career was I'm my own boss that I that I wanted to do what I wanted to do I wrote I rode the dice and to become great or to become great at whatever you want to do you got to roll the dice and take a chance on yourself and that's what I do oh you definitely a gambler absolutely definitely this episode of million dollars worth a game is
presented by New Amsterdam Vaca.
Now, let me tell you something about New Amsterdam Vaca.
It's the shit.
I ain't lying to you.
I mean, New Amsterdam Vaca was born from an uncompromising passion for great fucking Vaca, man.
The commitment to excellence has enabled New Amsterdam to produce a Vaca of superb taste.
I'm talking about 80-proof Vaca.
Premium.
80-proof Vaca is distilled five times, filtered, three times for that clean.
I'm talking about that clean finish.
You could drink New Amsterdam with anything as well.
You already know that.
You know you could drink it straight up.
You could drink it on the rocks.
You could drink it with juice.
You could drink it with a soda.
Or you can make the classic New Amsterdam meal.
Now, New Amsterdam Vaca is the official Vaca for Barstool Sporting
and presenting sponsor of a million dollars worth a game.
So when you're out and about, get you some New Amsterdam Vaca.
Tonight, we're going to be sipping on it.
because we got a basketball game tonight.
And it's great for pre-game.
So shout out to New Amsterdam Vaca.
Shout out to my wife, the New Amsterdam Queen.
And when you're out and about,
make sure you get you some New Amsterdam Vodka.
Right?
Ask you a question.
You've seen this guy I played basketball before?
No, I know he can rap.
You don't know he can play basketball.
No, I didn't even know that.
See?
Well, he ain't bet on you.
I will cook him to people, though.
Neo, he ain't betting on him.
So that's another story.
I cook your fucking ass.
Now, he wanted you to try to low-key hype his basketball game, but he's garbage.
Because he played a little bit too.
Now, when you got to the point and said, you know what, not only because you really didn't even have to do boxing, promote, you was already on the sky, you was already caking it up over there.
When you stepped to that, what made you really say, because I know you're so educated from seeing the game and seeing people like things wasn't right for people.
What made you say, I'm going into that, the promote in the boxing?
Promoting fighters?
Well, you got to, right now, just in boxing alone, you know, with me and Al working hand-to-hand.
If I'm not mistaken, I got like two or three hundred fighters.
Damn.
So, I just believe, and I got a game plan.
You always got to have a game plan, even like everybody in this audience.
You know, what we're slacking is this.
We have to go back to the old school pen and paper.
That's my thing.
I love writing.
We have to write our ideas down
and sit right there on a nightstand
and you got to see every day you see certain goals.
You can write down 10 goals.
And then in 12 months, if you didn't accomplish
none of those goals, then you're running in place.
You're hustling backwards.
Yeah, you definitely hustle back.
Floyd, you live an American dream, man.
You got 55 cars.
You got fucking $40 million.
nice. You're just living a
life, man. But you also got about
40 girlfriends.
How do you do it?
It's hard fucking. I got
too. I can't. I'm the
this shit. It's hard.
Like, how do you balance
this life, man?
No, it's not. What is it like
four on Monday, four on Tuesday?
Everybody's sleep in my bedroom on a week?
It's like, how do you do this shit?
No, it's just
that
I like to live life the way I want to live life
That is pretty evident
Obvious, it's pretty obvious
Because like I said before
I'm not here to judge anyone else
How you guys live your life
Is how you live your life
No, we're not judging you
It's a bunch of niggins ahead
I just want to know
I figure out the game
It's dudes how they're trying to figure out the formula
I want these men to have a beautiful wife
And a beautiful family
That's what's important
I mean for me
Well, my thing is this.
I love it.
I love it coming from somebody that's like this.
Here go 11 Rose Royces.
Hold on, baby, baby.
All 40, you're all 40.
You'll sit down for a second.
I got a little interview today.
I love this shit.
I just, I feel like the way I want to live my life,
I live my life the way I want to live it.
And no matter what, you can't please everybody because it's so crazy.
Like in the beginning, you know, I feel like people was rooting for me, one of the best for me.
And the more and more as I accomplished more and kept accomplishing things,
then you start seeing, like, different things, then you start saying, oh, he's a wife beater,
oh, he's not that smart, or he's, you're so many different things.
And I just feel like, okay, you're entitled to believe whatever.
you want to believe, but I have to have some type of common sense, some type of smart,
some type of intelligence to be where I'm at. You know, I've been living this same life for 25
years. Let me ask you something. I got a saying that I use and I say, haters is your marketing
team. The haters make you richer. Did all that free marketing makes you richer, just keeping
your name out there and just speaking about you all the time? Well, I never want to be the, I never want to be the person
They didn't say, on 30 for 30, or they're writing the story about Mayweather.
Oh, I told you so.
Yeah.
You know, it's just, I mean, the great feeling about my life is that I can still live.
The same life I was living when I was out there when I was fighting is the same lifestyle that I still live currently right now because I made smart moves.
Because even like these young rappers, these hip-hop artists.
these basketball players and these football players,
they think they're going to be young forever.
Everything comes to an end, even life.
So before that expiration date,
I just want to make sure that, you know,
my grandchildren and my children are in a great position,
and I put them in that position.
No, your grandchildren, grandchildren is in a great position.
So basically, the moves you make
is going to secure the futures of the family members
you won't be living to me.
I don't even really do it for just my children
because if I don't feel like my children deserve it
I'm going to give it to the next one
which is probably my nephew or my niece
and I tell them all the time
like all the different businesses that I have
like skating rinks and I mean I got so many different
business hotels
a lot of my family members work for me
but if I feel like
someone else can do the job
better than I'll remove them.
That don't mean I don't love them.
It's just business.
Business, okay.
You have had to remove an aunt.
Ida, you're fucking up,
Bonnie, take your ass on.
Come on, honey.
Didn't I tell you be here,
nah, this is your second day
you got to get out of there,
irony.
And she told you about yourself.
Well, you got,
you, it works like this.
Family members,
and you guys have to really understand this,
family members feel like you owe them
something. And I just say to myself
50
times I got, the 50 times I got
in there, I'm the only person
that had to get in there. But it
was so much, it was just so
much hard work to get to where I got to.
It wasn't easy. It didn't happen overnight.
And the
person I have to take my hat off to
is just my father because
he believes when nobody else believed.
And before we go any
further, I want to shout out the late
great Roger Mayweather.
man.
Shout out to Roger.
That's my uncle.
My uncle,
my uncle,
my uncle,
my uncle,
he played a major
part in your life,
man.
Yes, he did.
Absolutely.
And you guys
just,
you should just
know a person's character
as far as,
you look in my career,
I only had two trainers.
My dad or either my uncle.
Two cut men's,
either Raphael
or another cut man
Miguel Garcia
or either Raphael Garcia.
Either one.
I'm loyal,
And that's what people say they're loyal.
Loyal is an action.
People can say it with their mouth, but loyal is an action.
Absolutely.
Loyal is not what you say is what you do.
Absolutely.
Floyd, the roughest fight you ever had.
Who was it?
The best fighter ever fought,
the best fighter I'll far probably was Mani Pachia.
Because it is movement.
But you made it look easy.
But he's a hell of a fighter.
And I can see why he won so many fights.
And I can see why he's going down as a Hall of Fame.
It's just certain moves that he make.
But the roughest fighter probably was a guy named Emmanuel Augustus.
You talk about the drunken master?
The drunken master.
It was tough.
Because he was awkward, huh?
It was just tough.
And Miguel Cotto was very, very, very physically strong.
Yeah.
So you've got different fighters.
You know, different days you feel different ways.
So some days you can go to, you can get over there.
You may not feel that good.
Right.
But you go over there and look, you know, superb.
Absolutely.
Do you miss the roar of the crowd?
No, I'm okay.
You know, I'm cool.
He's like, no, I got 45 women roaring for me in the bedroom.
Floyd!
No, I was just, he said, no, I'm okay.
You know, it was crazy that everybody kept asking me,
Why are you not coming back to fight?
Why are you not coming back to fight?
So I look at the fight game.
I said, okay.
I said, you know, fighters fight,
and they make $3 million, $4 million, $6 million, $7 million.
Some may make $10 or $20 million.
But I'm doing exhibitions,
and I'm making $25,000, $100 million for exhibitions.
So why would I come back and fight
and get a guaranteed $35 million?
million when I'm doing exhibition
and they're getting a hundred million.
Yeah, that's real.
Now,
I'm, you know,
born and raised in Philly.
Imagine playing basketball and getting
$40 million for a fucking
preseason game.
That's crazy.
That's real money.
And I get all mine up front.
None on the back end, huh?
Well, I get money on the back end.
That's for pay-per-view.
Oh, yeah.
But for anything, you got to give me my money
up front.
You got any exhibition?
coming up soon?
Me and Logan Paul.
YouTuber.
Yeah, you know.
I'm telling you, boy, he know how to make
that easy, buddy.
She'll be easy.
He's going to beat this shit out of Logan Paul.
We don't have an exact date.
We don't have an exact date.
You're going to knock him out, champ.
What I'm doing wrong.
Tell him what he's doing wrong.
Tell him what he's doing wrong.
Okay, hold on.
Give it to him.
I got to.
That shit.
No, no, no, no, no.
Hold it.
You right-handed or left-handed?
He left-handed.
You boxing right?
Oh, he boxing right.
Don't tell him that shit.
Oh.
He's doing...
I got his watch on his right arm, so I'm figuring...
Yeah, because I'm left-handed, feel funny on my left-handed.
What I'm doing wrong?
You're okay.
What'd you get?
He boxed a little bit.
Oh, you told him this boy.
He's mad.
This guilty.
This guilty.
Come on, champ, with this bullshit.
You gave me some ammunition for the next 20 years, champ.
You didn't told her, would you pick him up?
Could he come in the team?
He might give me the sparse, you know, come in and do some sparring for him.
He's solid.
I understand you got locks.
You got locks on your door.
But one thing about them locks, they're not going to make you safe.
They're not going to monitor the baby.
They're not going to monitor the dog, the cat.
You might have a frog or you might even have fish in your house.
But you want 24-7 monitoring.
And that's what Roman Swipe doing.
I'm talking about their award-winning.
Their next level.
I'm talking about their leaders in the field of security, man.
And making sure that you and your family are safe.
The most important thing you could do is make sure that you and those that your love is safe.
And that's what SimplySafe is going to do.
Read the name.
SimplySafe.
But what you need to do is you need to go to simplysafe.
com slash game.
Listen, and they're going to take care of you.
I'm talking about risk-free trial.
You're not going to be having to worry about nothing.
But the most important thing is, and you're going to feel good when you lay down the night
because guess what?
You're putting security and protection on your family.
Imagine having a security guard walk around your house 24-7.
24-7.
You're putting security.
You're taking care of your family
and you letting them know that you love them in a special way.
SimplySafe.com slash game.
We're waiting for you.
Put security on your family.
I got it.
You need it.
Go get it.
Simply-safe.com slash game.
Floyd,
this is what the streets want to know.
Not the boxer industry.
Now, the streets want to know this.
Okay.
We Philly balls.
But you be in Baltimore.
I'm part Baltimore because, Wifee.
That's my second place, Baltimore.
Tank Davis, monster and the gorilla.
Guerrilla.
He's a killer.
Well, Tank Davis.
It was a kid.
He was a young kid.
He came up to me when he was a kid.
Wanted an autograph.
I signed his phone for it.
him and told him, you'll be world champion someday, and I'll be your promoter.
Years later, he was working with some people from our team, because our team is huge.
We got guys in D.C., Baltimore, Philly, New York, all around.
So he won a few fights.
I think he was like eight, nine.
I don't know what's, it was like eight and eight and nine and all.
I told him, in under 24 months, you'll be world champion.
Made the right moves, put him in the right position.
He's a multi-manor now.
Absolutely.
He was a kid that couldn't even buy a bus ticket.
Now he's a multi-manian.
Let me ask you this.
Because, you know, people, I don't win against him.
You know what I mean?
With some people that we know, even friends,
when you was talking about Tevin,
and I was like, Tinker knock him out.
I'm because they say I'm from Baltimore now.
I mean, because of Wifie.
Whatever.
Him, Devin Haney.
Is it going to happen?
Devin Haney is a good fighter.
I've been knowing Devin Haney since she's been a...
Yeah, yeah.
You speak highly of you.
I've been known since he's been a little kid.
Actually, I've seen somebody one day showed me an interview
that you guys was doing with Devin,
and y'all was talking about.
you know tank and devon you know both are good fighters i'm proud of both of them um black kids
that come from come from nothing yes and work their way and become something i'm just proud of them
both and at this particular time um you know devon is working with a certain promotion team
we got a certain promotion team so you know it don't it don't always work business like we think
Whereas it's like an overseas basketball team and the NBA basketball team, it don't work like that.
So everything takes time.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
I would say this, though.
But Tank, I'm proud of Tank.
Very, very, very, very proud of Tank.
If I had to do it all over again, that's one of the fighters that I would have chose.
Great choice.
I wanted to sign Devin, but he chose a different route, but still proud of him.
You know, I can never, these young fighters are the future of boxing.
So you would never hear me like certain legendary champions.
I would never get up here in badmouth young fighters or talk bad about the sport of boxing,
because without the sport of boxing, I wouldn't be where I'm at today.
Yes, absolutely.
I want to commend you, right?
because you know you Devin Haney you know I guess he in Vegas but I seen you in the gym and he's on a whole different promotional company but you was showing him some things y'all show love y'all really fans you was working with him you know what I'm saying and it's a good chance that he might fight an actual fighter that you got but you still had him in there working with him teaching him things be just giving him certain pointers you know just giving him certain pointers just to make them make them better you know even it was it was good to even like before
I was able to even just move around with Devin,
aspired with Devin when I was 40 years old.
That was like four years ago when I was 40 years ago.
I was able to move around with Devin.
And me moving around with him in the ring,
I knew he was going to become world champion.
So I'm just proud of him and I'm proud of Tank.
Both are hell of a fighters.
When will we see Tank again in the ring?
Tank and Devon?
No, Tank in the ring.
Another fight.
If I'm not mistaken,
I think in June or July, he's fighting.
You know, with this coronavirus and the pandemic,
it's been very difficult, you know, for a lot of us.
But real, real soon.
Very, very exciting.
Actually, Tank is one of the best fighters in the sport of boxing today.
No, he is.
And he's a pay-per-view star, you know?
The street say you put a little protection on them.
Well, everybody's entitled to have their own opinion.
I like that.
He's good.
You know how to answer.
You guys judge each other all the time.
Yeah.
He's another-ass nigger for you.
You hyped him up.
I got to deal with this shit back in Philly.
Now they're going to say, oh, yeah, champ said he could box.
This fucking journey's man.
He's a journeyman.
What's crazy is this.
Everybody always say, oh, I'm from here.
I'm from there.
At the end of the day, it's all about results.
Yes.
It's not where you're from, is where you're going.
Because you can, you can, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
But a lot of times, you got to leave, you got to leave.
That mindset.
You have to leave.
wherever you're from and go somewhere else
so you can focus better
and become big. Yes, sir.
I love that. Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Floyd, your top five
fighters of all time.
You know, a lot of times
I say my top five, they think I'm crazy.
Wow. Why?
I mean, because a lot of
people that's in a sport of boxing
only know guys that's famous.
and this is and when I speak when I speak I speak I speak real shit and a lot of people
don't like it but I speak real so I don't see I don't have to put myself number one because
men lie women lie numbers don't lie so what are we really rating fighters on so I mean
a lot of fight we talk about legacy legacy legacy man these people
And this audience, man, it's worried about currency.
I mean, you can't, you can have a famous,
there's a lot of people out there that's got a famous face,
but they ain't got shit.
So I truly believe in,
I'd rather have a currency than a legacy,
because my legacy is already engraved in stone.
Right.
You know, a lot of times they say,
oh, Mayweather, he's doing exhibitions.
It's bad for boxing.
It ain't bad for your pocket.
But at the end of the day, I look at my children, I look at my grandson, I look at my mother, I look at my father, my mother's a millionaire, my dad's a millionaire, my children are millionaires, my little grandson, he's a multi-millionaire, he don't even know it.
So I don't, I don't want for nothing.
So I'm not here, I'm not, I didn't get into the sport of boxing, I didn't get into the sport of boxing to compare myself to not, to know, to know, to know.
no other fighter. And when I was asked, I'm just asking your favorite five, you know what I mean?
Who you like, your personal. Well, certain fighters, I'm going to say Roberto Durant is one
fighter. And this is the reason why Roberto Durant is so great, because he was able to come,
he's only five foot, five, I'm going to say five foot six. He was able to go from 135
pounds all the way to light heavyweight. And he came, and he went the distance with Marvin Hagler,
He was the first fighter to ever be Sugar Ray Leonard.
I mean, he was, and he was only five foot six.
Yeah, that's pretty little.
As soon as he moved for 135 pounds to 147, he gave Sugar Ray Leonard his first loss.
But these are the things that we don't see.
That's a good point right there.
Or even like a fighter named Aaron Pryor.
I know Aaron Pryor.
Great fighter.
You know, a lot of people don't know these names.
Aaron or Hawk Pryor.
he only had one loss because he got on drugs
and you know that's the guy they say that
everybody feared yeah you know in uh
the late 70 early 80s so it's just so many
different there's so many different legendary fighters that we don't talk about
when he talk about those fighters that are famous
Muhammad Ali Joe Fras and George Foreman
the great thing about Muhammad Ali was that
he's still for a hell of a cause in his era
which he's supposed to stand for that cause in this era
just like in this era
the good things that I do
for the black community or for my people
I don't have to go out there and broadcast it to the world
because God going to keep blessing me
behind the scenes
like when I went out there
when I went out there and done that for George Floyd
I didn't want the world to know what I did for George Floyd
I did it because I felt it was just the right thing to do by me giving back.
And I want to personally thank you because I grew up on the block of, you know,
the great Joe Frazier's sister.
His sister just passed, rest and peace to her.
And the gym was right around the corner from my block.
I always grew up.
They did some dumb stuff to it.
They did whatever.
It's like a furnishing store, whatever.
But I grew up there.
And you paid for Joe.
frayed your funeral.
A lot of people don't know that.
No, that's good, though.
I'm just saying personally, thank you,
you know what I mean?
Because he's from, that's my neighborhood.
You see what I'm saying?
So that was like, that was major.
You know what I mean?
That was like under, you know,
people good to talk about their opinions.
They're good to throw opinions,
but they never throw facts a lot of times.
So sometimes, you know,
it's good when people know the facts
about the real stuff that people really do.
Because we're quick to say some bad shit about somebody.
Oh, you ain't shit, you ain't this,
you ain't this.
A lot of people out here that's doing some great things.
and you do a lot.
I've read it,
I've seen your name in the fine print
a couple, a lot of times.
Yes.
Well, when you,
it's,
when you get the hate on,
when you get the hate on both sides,
your mentality is just,
fuck it.
Fuck it.
Fuck what they think.
My mentality,
that's how,
because I get,
it's crazy that I'm more like,
you would want to be,
I mean,
at first I was like,
you know,
you want to be loved by your people,
but when you're getting hate from your people,
and you're getting hate from the other side,
You're just like, yo, you feel like it's every man for himself.
I just feel like fuck it.
When did you get to that point?
How old was you?
When you realized that, how old was you?
Um, I think it when I was, when I didn't want to be a certain way, when I wanted to,
I wanted to voice my opinion.
I wanted to be who I wanted to be.
I wanted to be like, I'm the best and nobody can be.
beat me. But they wanted me to get my checking. Oh, yes, sir.
Shut up. I didn't want to do that. You know, I mean, it's just like the NBA. I don't, I don't,
I like the NBA, but it's certain things that I don't like about the NBA. I feel like the players
should be able to voice their opinion. Even like when they dunk, you should be able to scream loud.
I mean, they get tax and fines, taking money back from the players. That's not cool. And, you know,
I don't, I don't, I don't never want to speak bad about the NBA because I love the NBA.
I may want to buy an NBA team, so I definitely don't want to talk bad about the NBA,
but I feel like players should be able to be themselves and voice their opinion.
Yeah.
Would you ever let your kids get into boxing?
My kids, um, well, my two boys.
You know, if they grew up and they're like, no, this is what I want to do.
My two boys, they like to smoke weed, so I know they ain't going to box.
Yeah, so my, and, you know, I don't.
That's what they like.
That's what they like.
They grown.
Absolutely.
Absolutely. I like to smoke weed too.
What's your favorite?
O.G. Cush. O.G. Cush, baby.
He like, I don't smoke it, but I like the smell.
He loved the smell of. He blow somebody over here.
He wants to be fake high.
I just know when people are smoking bullshit weed.
I got a bug. I know when people are smoking bullshit weed.
No, you say that there, everybody. We walked in those Snoopy,
I told him of the seeds in there, Snoop.
I did tell Snoop was seeds in this week.
Seeds of this.
Sees and Snoop.
I was like,
Oh, Smooke, you got seeds in your shit?
He was like,
Walo, stop that shit, nephew.
I mean, but it's cool.

Yo, that shit, him five hundred.
That shit work.
Yeah.
That nigga would, because, you know, black people think all black people is lying.
I'm just being straight up.
We always, all that shit.
Only time we believe shit is when it comes from the white folks.
But when somebody black said, you think they cap and they scamming.
News flash.
A lot of niggas do be fucking lying.
Facts.
You right.
He right.
Yeah, all right.
I just was trying to soften the blow for black people.
You know, I got to be politically black correct.
I'm sorry.
Well, our little nephew called us.
He sent us a business card.
So, yo, what's this, John?
He had a credit business.
He's not even 20 yet.
He's like, so he like, I said, man, you got to get with him.
He said, oh, you're running late.
I've been, that's why I got this shit from.
He running his own credit operation, straight out of North Philly.
And he's doing his thing.
I'm telling me, he's running at people with his car.
I said, I said, nephew, you got to beef your cards up.
But you got brothers like you that's giving it to the dude in the hood.
And what's so great about it is that it's digestible.
It's not a bunch of jargon, a bunch of shit that people got, they can't, you know,
they can't relate to and they can't digest.
Your approach, what is your approach about and what is the most important thing that you're trying to get all get across to the people?
No, that's the key to it all, though, like exactly what you said is that I come from my community, right?
And a lot of times as business professionals, we think of what a business professional is is somebody in a suit.
But you see, even when we did the podcast the first time, is that I wore a fendi sweater, wore my jewelry.
because intellectually, it don't matter.
It don't matter to make up of what your outfit look like, right?
So what we always want to get to and a point of recession proof is that make people understand that, listen, no matter where we come from, education, information is all that matter.
Information is what helps us generate income.
Information is what helps us take it to the next level.
And it don't matter what your background is.
It don't matter if you ever been convicted of a crime.
It's a way to get around it if you get the proper information.
And so with a recession proof, that's what I keen in on is, listen, it's about information.
It ain't about, you know, being scared or where you come from and the lack of information.
That's what's been holding us back.
So now where we at is like, listen, keep passing information.
So as I built this program and my whole family, as you can see, it's like, listen, my goal is support information in the people that look like me.
Understand that, listen, you mean to tell me one of the number one podcast in the world, you got a chain on, easy sneakers.
you come home from prison.
Bro, it's the number one podcast.
What that mean?
Y'all figure something out.
And once you figure something out,
you then success leaves clues.
So you guys understand something on how to build a podcast
and build a brand.
This is what you do.
It don't matter what you look like.
So it's cool to look like us.
Now it's cool to look like us and say,
okay, I'm a professional.
I understand credit.
I'm building my, you know, building business.
That's where we at.
So that's really what it's about
is just embracing who we are
and saying, look, just get the information.
You don't got to change the way you look.
You don't got to be in a suit to be educated.
Bro, just get the information
and the world is ours.
You got a valid point with that
because I've seen you niggas in the club one night
and I ain't know if you niggas was businessmen
or the rappers.
Y'all was giving it up.
Yeah, facts, facts.
But you know what I want to ask,
how many years ago you was broke?
When I say broke,
you ain't have a lot of money you was you was jbm just barely making it you know what i mean how many
years ago from the day what year was this 2014 damn so that mean that was seven years ago and
in seven years you're able to put together an event like this where first of all what fucking
type of plane did you put them people on man it looked like goddamn 787 you know listen so
the deal is that it's a lot of us coming a lot of us live
in Atlanta. So I said, I fly, and I understood how to fly private.
I called Delta and asked them for a plane. I said, we want to travel down.
They tell them we know.
Hold the fuck up. This nigga called Delta.
You called Delta like you called Boo Boo or Rahim around the block.
Hey, nigga, you got a gun? You just called, who the fuck calling Delta out here?
Yep. They told me, you know. And what happened?
I called American.
And they told me, though. So I made a phone call, and I got two planes myself, two seven-57s.
got two seven 57s and bring the family down on plays that's operated by us that way we can listen to our music we can have you know drinks and stuff that we want to have you know what i mean like and now it's controlled by us you know how fucking legendary that is man
you know listen that's that it's it's information man right all i had to do is figure out who i needed to call but one thing i learned about you from listening to your journey your story you're not a part of the instigratification right now movement
It's a movement.
It's an organization called.
It's the Gratification Association of America.
Everybody went this.
What kept you focused and just kept grinding,
even though you didn't know what was coming around the corner.
You just said, I'm going to keep going.
With me is that, because I've seen that the levels of my service kept growing, right?
The level of service that the level is, the higher the level of service I performed,
the higher my reward was.
And I stopped being selfish.
because initially, you know, as a business owner, everybody do stuff, we're looking out for self.
We're looking at what's going to be, how it's going to benefit me.
Well, I started helping people, and I never forget it.
I was in a mentorship, and Eric Thomas, he told me, he said, look, if you got a way to change the trajectory of your family
and you don't help another man do the same thing and you got the cold, like you know what it takes to change
poverty, you ended poverty for your family, and you don't tell another man how to do it,
then you're selfish.
I started helping other people
My goals became
First my goal was to make X amount a year
I started helping other people and started making that X in a month
And I looked at it and I go
It's bigger
So then I just start going like
This conference that we have
And that we're sitting here on now is free
Service
Am I going to get something back from?
I don't know what the universe is going to pay me back for this
I don't know what the universe is going to give me back
For pouring into people
and bringing the opportunities to network and getting a witness and sit in the room with people that we idolize and watch online that we don't get the opportunity to meet.
I don't know what the universe is going to pay me back, but it's not about what I can get today.
The universe is going to always give it back to me, and that's what's been happening for me.
And that's what is about because when you do things without the anticipation of return, the world always serves you in an abundance.
You feel what I'm saying?
So I want to just give you your flowers and commend you for doing it for putting all these beautiful people in this room.
You feel what I'm saying?
Some may be on your level.
Some may not be on your level.
Some may just be starting up.
You know what I'm saying?
But at the end of the day, you made it happen to put all these people in this room to be able to just gain some knowledge and just the connections that's in this room is unbelievable.
Because see, that's what the Jews do.
That's what the white folks do.
That's they get in a room like this.
And there's so many connections in this room.
to where it's though I'm trying to leave out of here
with everybody's number because that's
what life is about. You don't leave out of here with
100 numbers, you bullshit. Absolutely.
Because life is not about
what you know is about who you know.
Yeah, yeah, 100%.
That's 100%.
That's the- Relationships is worth more than money.
Absolutely.
Look, when they come to building relationships, right,
when I developed recession proof,
I developed it as a course, right?
I wanted to sell information that helped me
help other people. Well, when I
when I structured it, I started seeing
the networking in there. And I look
into my community and I go, people
will post a question at 2 a.m.
The time I get up at 5, it's 70
comments already responding
by other family members in the
in the recession-proof community. They already
responded. So I look and I go,
okay,
we got something.
Then I seen mentees fly up and meet with each
other and start hanging out. And I
I said, it's a community of entrepreneurs, and I realized everybody don't have that support
system around them.
You might be that one person in your family, that you know what you want, and you're the
one that they go, man, you got the ambition to drive, but I'm surrounded by people that don't.
So what happened is, is that we need to get in the right rooms with people who got the
drive and the steel that we do.
And so what I did was, I started embracing that, bringing everybody together.
so when you guys get in the room with other individuals who's willing to invest in themselves
who willingness to who's trying to start a business or started a business who got success
whether you at intermediate or you at the high level guess what everybody in the room together
and now the conversation is different so now we got a different kind of a different kind of
aura about the family because everybody is building and growing and then they say you're only
going to be as great as the leader so if I'm selfish and I hold back then I'm going to get
stingy people that selfish and hold back. If I get somebody that's, if I'm janky and I'm trying
to get every single dollar from them that I can, then that's what they're going to be doing to
people. So what I started doing is being given. So as the leader of recession proof, I'm always
trying to give as most value as I can. And what happened is everybody in the family does the
same thing to each other. Every time anybody that can help somebody, they're giving to them.
Here, if I can add value here, I'll do it. If I can add value to this, I'm going to do it.
You ask a question and I got the answer. I'm going to give it to you. If it's a way we can
benefit and build business together, then that's what they do.
And so when I look at my family and look at what we built, look, it ain't nobody else
on earth like us.
Let me ask you a question.
If a big part of business is marketing.
If I'm a person and I'm just coming up, I'm figuring it out, I might got my winning, got
trademark, got my LLC, got anything.
What's the best form for me to market my services, rather is it, is it so?
social media, is it ads? Like, what's the best, what's the best formula? What does you utilize to get
recession proof out there? One, it's value, right? With me, it's just always building recession
proof. My goal was just to add value. And so anytime I would do something and I will speak,
I'm always adding value. I'm in the financial industry and dealing with credit as a base of
everything. I go on podcasts like million dollars worth of game and I get a blueprint for do credit
repair out for free. Well, I put myself ahead of everybody else in my business. So other people
that's in the credit industry, they may have been doing credit repair. That's fine. Well, I'm going to go
a step ahead of you because everybody needs to know what to do with credit. So since people need to know
what to do with credit, that's going to be my niche. So when it comes to credit repair,
I don't need to charge you for that because you've got to figure out what to do with it. That's the
key in information. That's the information where the money at. So I can give you credit repair away for
free. Here, take that. That's free. And what's the benefit of me giving it away for free is everybody
needs help with it and everybody wants to charge people so when i started giving it away for free it
made me the authority in the industry so i can give you credit repair away for free i can give you game
that everybody else want to charge you for and then you come see me so when you're marketing your
business no matter what it is that you do figure out how to be creative with your marketing and add value
to the to the marketplace when you add value to the marketplace it makes you the authority
the best marketing is giving the marketing give overtake marketing i like that yeah now now
the whole thing about recession proof where did that come from the name first of all that was a classic hip hop album
and for you to be able to trademark that you was on point you was on point where did it like what made you say that i'm coming with this
i came up with recession proof recession proof wasn't because of the pandemic and everything that happened that fell in my lap
recession proof initially came i got my real estate license in 2006 right shout out to my mom she helped me
get my real estate license she knew school wasn't for me right
So what I did was when I got my real estate license, it was 2006.
Guess what happened?
Crash, 2008.
So you understand, I thought I was going to be retired by 30.
You're seeing $12,000 checks, $14,000 checks.
I'm thinking I'm going to be retired by 30 years old.
And what happened was is that the market crash.
And then I moved to Atlanta, and I had to build myself up as an entrepreneur.
I didn't know nothing else, but working for myself going out, figuring out how to generate capital.
So that's what I did and made it through a recession.
I went through my hard times, but I always continued to build businesses.
And since I made it through that recession, my whole mindset and my grind has always been to be recession-proof.
So that was just already my mantra, recession-proof.
When I got into this, it was like, yo, I'm going to teach you guys how to be recession-proof.
And it's stuck.
that's major so you when you got to Atlanta you was dead pop out of it like a stolen car yep
and you didn't start getting money until 2014 no no no no I was there broken 2014 I started doing
I got back into credit because I learned credit when I was 18 doing real estate when I got my
real estate license so I started doing it about 2014 15 and that's when I started figuring out I was just
doing credit to help me make money right
And I was like, let me get my credit together as well.
So my next business that I'm going to do, I'll have a trust fund.
I'll have funding available so I can fund myself.
I don't fall on hard times.
And what happened was is that I started learning how to make money from it.
You make six figures in a year from credit.
Like, you're like, wait, this is free.
I don't even got to, I learned how to make six figures off of credit.
I said, yo, it was over.
After that, I started building everything up.
Once it started, once it just kept going, the rest was history.
And then I figured something out, nobody knew.
Then that's when I started teaching people.
I love the close family niche that you got with all your brothers.
You know what I'm saying?
And, you know, how value, you know, it brings value to value.
You know what I'm saying?
And we had Alex Good Energy.
Shout out to my guy on the podcast.
And he said, him help me fix my credit.
You feel what I'm saying?
He said, shit, before I even could, you know, start to go on his journey,
he had to come through you to fix his credit up.
So, you know, I love it that, you know, the closeness, the togetherness, you know,
was no envy, it's no jealousy, it's no everybody's doing their own thing.
They got their own lane.
They're not counting nobody's money.
You know what's crazy is that that's the power, the same thing that we got, like in recession
proof is with the circle of CEOs.
Like within the circle of CEOs, the crazy thing is that we,
all invested and make money from trucking, right?
You got my other brother, Nehemiah Davis, Neo, when they come to social media marketing,
one of the ones that help us with everything.
Forrex in stock, help us with everything, right?
That's the person I lean on.
Even when they come to fitness and stuff, the most thing we slack on, right, is what my brother
missed a two weeks out.
And that's the things that I'm looking at, like, we got everything that we need, but
everybody pushes and adds to each other.
So we create Megatron because we all make money and benefit with each other in different
ways and even you know so everybody has like with neo he makes us with internet marketing he made jason
create a course and so that's the powers that you got to have sparring partners you got to have
sparring partners so when you look at it you always need sparring partners to help you get better and
that's what help you take it to the next level so that was that was one of the things that was keen to
me and um i told everybody about the sparring partners right um like when you look at somebody like a champ
when you see like a Floyd Mayweather and you say he's getting a ring and he's just so elusive, right?
It don't come from working a bag.
That's because most of the time it's sparring partners.
You find somebody longer, faster, out of your weight class, quicker, stronger, right?
Because you need sparring partners that help you take it to the next level to help you increase with whatever it is that you do, right?
You need somebody around you that's going to help you take it to the next level.
And with Floyd, you can look at it and say, okay, well, how many people do he got to spar with to become the,
champ because he unbeatable untouchable right so imagine how good his sparring partners got to be right
imagine how good and different and their strengths and weaknesses that they have to have to increase
his to where he can't lose right to go down and somebody like floyd to go down to history as
the best ever right when you look at that look at yourself and ask yourself what kind of
sparring partners do you have? Who's around you that helps you increase and who are you
getting in and when you're building your business, who out marketing you, right? And when
you think about it, because now whenever I say it, if I say the best ever at TBE, who are y'all
think about? The money, man. So Floyd, man, like you got everything, got the skyscrapers,
you got the cars, you got the houses, you got, what's next?
What I'm working on now
I don't really want for nothing
I don't really want for nothing I mean
It's crazy that
I mean
When people say oh you
When you post something you see all the comments
You see what people were saying
Fuck that
That fucking what how much is that watch man
I got to ask man
Oh that one?
Huh?
Oh that's 18 million
18 million
18 million
Oh you're that one
Get the camera get that
18 million.
We're the camera.
Pull it on this shit.
18 million on the watch, man.
Oh, damn.
Got a motherfucker's life on your wrist.
You know, you do an interview with this,
and you realize your life ain't going
as good as you fucking thought it was.
All the more.
I'm sitting over here
with my little $40,000 join on.
He's 18 million.

Just $5 million.
I ain't about $1.

him.
Him got so don't be getting no ideas,
him over there
getting ideas.
He like, he grabbed the
calculating. You call it the fucking jewel over there. I see you, him. Don't start your shit.
Now, you had the label, right? Do you ever think about getting the music again, like
helping some artists? Well, you know, I've been working, you know, a lot of tours, a lot of huge
tours. Oh, okay. For years, you guys never seen my name on a lot of tours, but I was buying a lot

he like I remember
because he's the way of classes
I had a crush on him.
The fuck out of that ass thing.
No, he got a crazy, he got, he got a very interesting story.
Actually, he's from Washington, D.C.
Okay.
And he left a six-figure, a six-figure paying job just to get with me in the beginning,
this is at the beginning of my career.
Yeah, okay.
Yeah. It's 25 years ago.
He left a great paying job, had a master degree, you know, had a master degree,
six-figure paying job.
He left, he left at all.
He came, I guess he's seen the same thing that I've seen.
He's seen the dream and he believed.
And he made millions and millions of dollars with me.
He's the CEO of Mayweather Promotions now.
Okay, okay.
Now, how important is team?
Because, you know, like you said, a lot of people out here,
we be thinking a lot of people move and they're thinking about the money,
so they think I can do it by myself because I don't want to bust it down
and establish a team.
When I think a team, I think together each achieve more.
How important is that infrastructure?
I think even like people, when you make money,
so when I made, if I make $100,000, I put $50,000 up.
If I make $100 million, I put $50 million up.
You always got to put half up.
Hold on, so you just got the other $50 million just laying around.
It's just my, just if I want to add some fun.
I mean, just, I mean, because, you know, I work with, I got guys I work with every day.
You know, just yesterday I made $10 million.
but
but
but once you make
so much
let a nigger hold some
you just
yesterday I mean
10 million like that shit wasn't nothing
but once you make so much money
and you didn't already had everything
there's really nothing else you can buy
so you you believe in making
everybody else around you
you want to push them to be great
you want to push them to be successful
so that's what I do
I push everybody around me to be great
even like my security team
I say listen
while y'all working with me
y'all built your own security team
on the side
that y'all got working
doing other venues
and making money
I believe making everybody around me great
because if I just
every time I make a lot of money
just give you a lot of money
and you don't got no ambitious
and you ain't got no drive
all I'm doing is crippling you
I'm hurting you
right okay absolutely
you know what's crazy about security
you was one of the first boys
that was running around here
with top flight security
like real big brothers
that really wasn't playing no games
like really and you made it like
you made it like cool
for brothers that have security
you could be black
you could be getting money driving that shit
but it's smart to have fucking security
all that tough guy
I'm ready to die shit
that's that's a little goofy
no because you know
we look oh I ain't got no security
I'm a real nigga
real niggas died too
real niggas get killed day day
but you was one of the first people
but that I seen flexing, giving it to them
with real live security.
Not no playing games, motherfuckers.
Like, you was the first one.
Well, of course, I got police.
Yes.
Not because I'm scared.
Yeah.
Just because I'm smart.
Yeah.
You got to protect the money, man.
You got to protect the interest, man.
I mean, I keep, if I'm not going to have nothing,
before I got a diamond watch, a diamond chain,
dime necklace, I always had me a great security team.
Very, very important.
But, like I told him before, I'm recession-proof.
I'm not bulletproof.
I'm recession-proof.
Yes, sir.
You do. That's what I'm talking about.
You walk around here with the $18 million thing,
but you better ask you.
God damn, that motherfucker is ridiculous.
Now.
Well, you know, I got snipers with me.
Okay.
I got snipers with me.
Snipers, huh?
Navy seal balls.
Yes, I got some good ones with me.
Come out of the water.
Why are you at the beach?
Don't fuck with Floyd.
They come out the water.
motherfuckers on a helicopter's and shit
