But I remember hitting a mom.

And I thought it got that dick dick dick.
Stayed a dog day y'all is I'm a big crib.
If I got a hundred lead, I'm a sit-sip.
I run a racquet.
Nothing in the nip.
But I got rich on all these niggas, I did it forget back.
I had to go through the struggle.
I did it forget that.
I hide inside of the Mayback and I get my back.
Because I'm getting a money now.
I love you burned back.
Young niggins from the corner, bitch.
I have to serve crack.
I'll see you love.
I put a new
Folley's on the cheek
I drag into the bloody daughters
That's underneath
Cause all my niggas
Got it out the street
I keep a hundred racks inside my jeans
I remember getting a mold in a cold team
That's a call in the morning
Rich, these dick is salty
That's crazy
Listen man that was my shit
I used to make smoothies of that in the morning
Right
I used to be in there making my smoothies
On Instagram banging that shit
A morning it was going down like that
But you know who we got in here today, right?
Right?
Yep.
Now listen.
Yo, turn that shit.
It's loud, isn't it?
That's still learning my...
That shit down the thing in the head.
That's how I be, man, but you're now tuned into me, me, me, me, me, me, million dollars worth of a game, and you know who we got.
What's that on that me?
I like how you got that cue, though.
Oh, yeah, I'll be on point.
I always sound stuff.
He's a blueleg DJ.
Listen, I do D.
I got my old DJ.
He DJ Mayo.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, Mushet Mayo.
He did DJ Mux and he DJ Mollon.
And you need to catch up.
That's what the fuck you need.
That's going to whatever to be two.
You need this thing.
DJ catch up on the ones or twos because your niggas can't catch up.
You can't keep up in here and never be up.
Yeah.
This is sick.
They owe something else, man.
But listen, man, we got the one and only DJ mustard over here.
Listen, man, this dude right here is serious.
No, man, we got mustard, man.
I think he chopped DJ off.
No, I'm saying he did, but I'm talking about where the name come from.
Okay.
Oh, no, no, no.
I already talked to his sister tip.
I know where the name come from.
Tell us.
Tell us where it come from.
That's my sister?
Oh, yeah, see, he ain't know I talked to Tiff.
He ain't know I talked to Tiff.
Didn't know I talked to Tiff.
Yeah, we know people.
Shout out the Big Sis.
That's crazy.
Shout out to Big Sis.
She said when he was younger, he used to love hot dogs with mustard only.
He used to put a whole lot of mustard.
Every time he ate it, mustard be everywhere.
This Baba like, God damn it, mustard.
What's you doing, boss?
Ain't no truth to that history.
That ain't how you got the name.
No.
Your mama gave you the name, though.
Come on.
Come on.
I think it was one of my cousins gave me the name.
My mama gave me to Dejan, yeah.
You know, Dijon is mustard.
Mm-hmm.
Mustard, I don't know.
So one of your cousins fucking with you.
Yeah, that shit just stuck.
Dejan mustard.
I'm calling you musters from here on now.
People still don't really understand it.
Like, it would be like, why are you named mustard?
I mean, my name Dijon.
They don't get it.
Some people don't understand what the John mustard is.
That's a high-quality mustard.
They ain't no regular shit to be on it.
You know, they ain't just no regular.
Ain't this shit you was getting in jail?
Yeah, they ain't that kind of.
No, we wasn't even getting hines.
I don't even think in jail.
We were just getting regular mustard
that was packs with no logos on this shit like that.
You do what I'm saying?
Absolutely.
Hold on before we go any further, man.
Let me talk about our sponsor.
This episode of Million Dollars worth a game
was brought to you by New Amsterdam Vaca.
Life's kicking your ass.
Shot of New Amsterdam Vaca.
Life ain't going your way
and you're having to fuck.
up day shout a new amsterdam vodka you know what i'm saying it's it's playoffs right now
you know it's you got baseball going on you got all types of sports going on i mean it's great
for pre-gaming you know it's distilled five times it's filtered three times for that clean
crisp you got to get that at the end because if you're not getting that you're not drinking
a good shit so you know you're drinking you know make sure when you're out of
Out and about at your local liquor store,
you pick you up some New Amsterdam Vaca,
the official Vaca of Barstool Sports
and the presenting sponsor of a million dollars worth of a game.
Shout out to the New Amsterdam Queen.
My wife, too,
to be at the crib with her girlfriends,
making cocktails and all the type of things.
So shout out to Tudy, New Amsterdam Vaca.
You want to ask them something?
You want me to get to me.
No, you know, I always, you know,
because I made a couple beats in my life, too.
There ain't nobody never heard them,
but I made some beats off the table and jail and shit.
I made some beats I ain't handed on the recording with,
but one thing I always been intrigued about producers
because is it different from somebody that makes beat
and is it a producer, a person that just directing the whole show.
They just directing this shit.
And you somebody's serious, and you got your business game down.
Now, I see that you made a move, whereas, though, you know,
you sold some of your publishing and all that stuff.
How did that play out?
And why did you make that move?
So we, I was like, one day I was talking to Jay Brown,
and he was like,
hey, you know,
are you ever heard about
a catalog sale?
Tell him who Jay Brown is.
Jay Brown is,
you know,
Jay Brown.
I don't know how to explain this.
Everybody don't know.
Jay Brown,
what is Jay Brown at Rock Nation?
Jay Brown is big.
What is, what is,
yeah,
he's like underholding.
Yeah, he's the biggest over there.
Yeah.
I mean,
one of the biggest over there.
So I've been with Jay Brown
for like my whole career.
Most part of my career,
he'd been my manager for the first half of my career,
Miko came and now they're partners and shit.
But one day I was talking to Jay Brown,
and he was like, you ever heard about a catalog sell?
You know, Dream did it like three times.
I'm like, what is that?
He was like, man, you can sell half of your catalog
because my catalog, I didn't own all my catalog
in the beginning of my career because I did all these publishing deals.
And what my old lawyer didn't tell me
is that they was going to own that half forever.
The half that they had, I was never going to get it back.
So I had signed those deals.
I did like three publishing deals.
deals and then I had
that lawsuit and all that shit
so he was like
what do you think about we selling the rest
of your half of the stuff
that you don't own
as in the catalog
sell that part of your catalog away
get 10 times multiple sometimes 15 times
multiple or whatever you make in a year
you know so if you make like a million a year
10 times multiple
10 or 15 million you make 2 million
I wouldn't make a million I was making
yeah you was making 5 million so you got about 40
I think it's a crazy shit
We ain't counting your paper
But we understand what you're saying
So we went through it
Back and forth
And I told Miko about it
And we were all just game planning
My whole thing
Of my reasoning for doing it
It was like
All right
What am I going to do
This is all your money
At the end of the day
But do you want to wait
Over 15 years to
You're going to get that money
In increments
15 years
Or do you want to bet on yourself
Take the money
Pay off all the shit you have
You know
Invested
You know
whatever else that you need to do to where you financially stable.
And then you can keep working.
I'm only 30.
I just turned 31 June 5th.
So for me it was like, all right.
I appreciate that.
So for me, you know, I had already paid off my house.
Like Jay Brown had me on that like, what, 2016?
2000, maybe, yeah, 2015 I paid off my house.
I bought a house, paid it off.
And when I, so when I got this check,
It was literally just money.
So my whole thing was like, what are we going to game plan?
What are we going to do with this money?
Because I don't want to just have all this money in my account.
Now I have all this money.
And now I don't know what to do with it.
I'm just going crazy, spending it on everything.
So we game plan and game planned.
And what we did was we took that money.
We bought ourselves out of every contract.
We started off with publishing, you know, with my admin deals.
I had an admin deal.
Matter of fact, I had an admin deal with Rock Nation and Jay Brown.
I don't know if you want me to say this, but Jay Brown,
let me buy myself out of that deal.
Right.
And then, I mean, I mean, yeah, let me buy myself out of that deal.
And then we had like a ass, was it BMI or ass cap?
One of those, bought myself out of that deal.
And then we went back and got the same deals again, you know what I'm saying?
A bigger, better rate and stuff and better rates and better stretching.
So really, you hustled the game.
Unbelievable.
That was an unbelievable hustle play you put down.
Yeah.
I mean, that was a whole team hustle.
I can't really take all the credit because they round, like, he was, like, boom.
And I was like, all right, for sure.
But, you know, we know it's a team that played behind it, but, you know, you,
you out in the front and in the lead dog so you know that was a hell of a play you and your team put down
yeah unbelievable play unbelievable now now i see you out here right where and uh and then you walk in here
you got you got the you got this movie you drinking green yeah yeah you understand you're in shape
i don't know if you got a fight on the way like you training or some shit like you ain't playing
out how did that come about and like how to help be a part of your whole approach um man i've been
trying to lose weight for years
over and over and over
I always get these little spurts
where I'm just on my super health tip
and I'm just, you know,
fall back to fat boy mode, eating whatever
and the pandemic
is what really did it. I had lost a lot of weight
before though. I was like 340
and I came down to like
270 and before the pandemic
I was 270 and then after
when the pandemic hit I'm like I don't know if you
a lot of people don't know this but I'm like a
hypochondriac so like if I get a cut
I'm like man it's cut like
like shit might take me out you know what i'm saying like not like crazy but just bullshit like
you know what i'm saying so when they when they was doing all this putting all the pandemic stuff
all on the news i'm like oh shit i'm 270 275 i catch that shit i'm out you know what i'm saying so
in the in the in the whole quarantine situation i just i stopped doing music and all i did was
get up in the morning and i walked it started like me and my wife we started like two miles and next week we
did three miles, and eventually I was doing five miles a day.
I started doing five miles a day, and then I found a hill in my community.
So I'm doing five miles on hill sprints.
And that whole time, I'm out there barbecuing fish and veggies,
and I'm just eating clean, and it just started dropping off me.
I made a bet with the homie, and I end up, you know.
How many pounds you lost?
Total.
I'm 228 right now.
My highest weight was 340.
Damn.
So you lost a Beanie Siegel out this.
You raised, you raised the, the 10,000.
summer lose weight plan
you might as well put that together
Nico get that together we're going to get him a deal with somebody
you're just through the 10
you're going to feel like it took 10 summers to get
here but only it took 10 weeks
and we're going to lose
we're going to get a group of people that's going to lose
10,000 pounds and 10 days
shit like that you know how they be doing that
10,000 pounds in 10 days
a bunch of people we're going to add it all up
this person might lose one this person moves three
all that dumb shit
hey listen so
and losing the weight
you had to stop eating the chicken
man
because
you know I know people that know people
and I'm busting it up with your homies
and you know just casually talking one day
and they said no this nigga wing stop
man
they said this nigga's supposed to have
his motherfucking pitch up and wing stop
they said this they said must
go to wing stop
and get a motherfucking
a miniature bucket of lemon
pepper half original half
hot with the honey
mustard sauce they said you kept it original
though you didn't do the honey barbecue
you did honey mustard
on them niggas with the ranch
they said
nigger he go bananas and that
motherfucker stomach beat break dancing when you're leaving out
that mother I used to eat a lot of wings stop man
you know what though I was in the house
I didn't leave the house so I was
I wasn't ordering postmates
and no shit like that I was literally in the house
I ain't leave nowhere every time I
you know what I'm saying
I was doubling back
I was just in the house
It's posted
I ain't nothing outside
Or like being in the house
I know you fucked up that
I knew you about the wing stopped though
I'm sweating thinking about it
With the half
With the half original half
You miss them
No no I still be eating it now though
Hold on let me turn the air on
Yeah it's hot of shit
I don't want to take this jacket
I like this jacket
Yeah don't tell no
Don't take the drip off
Keep dripping on it
Yeah no but
I stop eating now
I eat now
My goal weight is 200
I can't really get to
200 because I'd be eating.
I'll be doing whatever.
Oh, you back acting up again.
You back out here.
I'll work out, though, every day, two times a day.
Oh, well, that's good shit.
I'll be in some, you know.
I just was hooping this morning.
You got a hoop game, hold.
Don't talk to hoops about you.
I got a jumper.
I know, we're the top two players in the country, like on just a streetball.
Like us, we beat young boys down and all that type of shit.
40 and over club, but we basically play anywhere from, like, 30 and down.
Like, we play the young cat.
I don't take advantage.
How long are you going to be here?
What you, what you?
You ain't seen me playing Jalen Rams?
He's from the Los Angeles Rams?
Jailen Rans.
He can play football.
No, he slammed on him, though.
He did slam on you, though, a couple times.
He dunked on you?
He dunked on you three times, so the football shit is out the window.
He dunked on you.
He had home court advantage because it was in his backyard.
And he shot your lights out a couple times.
Yeah, he doubled to me.
But I shot his life.
Yeah, he's playing one-on-one.
He's a fucking animal.
Jailins is something different.
He's a professional athlete.
Yeah, it's like.
I wasn't trying to spring.
Niggas wasn't trying to spring his ankle out there.

The thing is like this also.
When you, the studio session, what was your greatest studio session?
Who was that with?
Damn, my greatest studio session.
Well, you just remember it and it's like, yo, man, this was.
I don't have a greatest studio session.
I have a greatest studio, like, getting to the, a studio time.
I wouldn't say it was a session, though, because it really wasn't.
It was when I didn't need to me, Corriana.
I was, like, dead-ass tired.
I was at my studio in Jay Brown.
I'm like, yo, you need you to come over here and work on these songs.
She's working on her album.
She had this big-ass house in, like, Malibu or some shit.
I'm like, man, that shit is an hour away.
I'm really not trying to slide over there.
And my house is an hour away from there.
So I'm like, I don't know.
Call me again.
Like, man, you're coming.
And the homie was like, man, you got to go.
You might as well just go.
You never know what's going to happen if you go over there.
What's the worst that can happen?
You can't get it.
You won't get a song.
I'm all right.
So I slide over there.
slide over there
and
Star was there
I think
maybe I call Star
and Prince Charles
and I pulled up the beat
and they started working on
the need of me
in the room
I went in the room
next door
it was like a big ass house
I just fell asleep
because Jay Brown came
tapping me
are you good
yeah
I leave
we end up doing a song
Reed comes in
she likes the song
whatever boom
I think nothing of it
I leave
Jay Brown
he called me like two days later
maybe like no not two days maybe a month later
and it was like you got one on the album man you the only one
got a tag on her album I was like for real
he was like yeah and that probably was like my
the time where my head was like all right man
when you got shit like that opportunities like that
go take the opportunity because you never know what's going to happen
yeah because I was I know it
I know it was Rihanna
I'm going to walk up that motherfucker
I would have walked up that motherfucker
I've been in those situations
where it's like nothing comes of it but it's like
this Rihanna you know
this ain't boo-boo their rap
yeah that's true
you in the room
but Rihanna bro
yeah
no no I didn't know if she was going to actually
beat you know like they have a session
she don't be there like you know sometimes
I didn't went to London in the studio
three days
and she never come you know what I'm saying
like so it's like
but that that was a
that one time that your ass won't go
it's the time where you'll fuck around and get it
and thank God you had that one
that shit led to me going on
on tour and shit what he said it was cool shout out to his one fucking homie yeah who had since
i don't know what his name is we want to shout his name i'm on his nick it was nick you know
it's crazy this dude i was um that happened with me with coney too but no but let me let me tell you
i'm i was in the same studio i'm in burbank i don't know if he did i'm in burbank in the studio
Kanye's in fucking where is he at Santa Barbara you know how far that is it's like
Two hours.
It's six in the morning, bro.
I'm already, I'm already, I didn't did my studio session for myself that night,
all night, and my publisher Ron Perry at the time.
He's like, yo, Kanye wants you to come to Santa Barbara.
I'm like, Wayne, he's like now.
I'm like now.
I tell that nigga, I'm trying to come later on today.
I'm not trying to, I don't want to, bro.
Wait, this Kanye.
I'm up, I've been up all night.
What Kanye is this?
Was it the bag on this?
Was it through the wire?
No, nigga, I'm not saying, because if it's him, you probably, I'll be later.
But if it's the other one, I'm walking to Santa, whatever fuck it is.
Is it Pint of Monaster, two hours away?
No.
This is Winnie with Kim Kardashian.
Yeah.
This is, that session was the same.
Nick was like, bro.
No matter of fact, that wasn't Nick that did that.
It was my old engineer James Royal.
He was like, bro, we got to go.
He was like, I'll drive you.
I'm like, all right, for sure.
Got in the car and he drove me out there.
That's how sanctify came about.
Let me just, let me just, let me just, let me just say this.
He almost missed two legends.
Let me just say this.
Let's make some noise.
It's all God.
It's all God. It's all God. It's all God.
But let's make some noise for mustard for being a getting money, nigga.
Because you got to be getting money if you even think about not going to see
Rihanna and motherfucking Kanye.
You're getting money.
Like, I don't even know how you was like, this nigga said, put you in a hole.
No, no, no.
I wasn't trying to put him on hold.
I was like, can I come later?
Yeah.
I was dead tired.
I was sleeping the motherfucker.
I was big, too.
That's why I'm eating all night.
So he's tired.
How many wingstop pockets you had to be?
I was tearing shit up.
I probably was
that, and I was probably drinking lean
at that moment, too.
Like, so it was like, I was fucked up.
Yeah, lean and winks.
I wasn't even in my mind.
Like, now I was like, all right, I'm sliding.
But back then, I used to just be on some dumb shit.
They got a phone call Kanye once you come through and shit.
Yeah, fuck that shit.
I'm stupid.
I got that act in me and them.
I'm sipping.
I got the act in the lemon peppers.
Yeah.
I'm tired.
How important was that tag?
How important was that shit?
Man, I didn't even know what I was.
was doing when I you know when I when I when I start putting that shit on beats I was I was like I
think YG said that that's YG said that on I think a song called I'm good a long time ago and I just
that's when I used to just I used to go in his computer before I was good at making beats I used to
go in that nigger computer and like find songs that he didn't like like say for instance like
the I'm good song it's like a big song in LA I went in the computer and he already had that
song to a whole other beat and I just made that beat around it I'm like uh look what I did and
that's how we got I'm good and at the end of the bees like muzzled on the beat ho and I just took
that shit the dry file of it I just started putting that shit on all the beats but I didn't know
what I was doing I was just doing it it wasn't like something I was like yeah it's gonna be
I had no idea to the producers out there that's coming up how is it how important is the tag do you
need it or don't you need it do it add value or like or do you you know that shit could be a gift
and a curse so even for me it's like you know you
only like my uncle used to always say my uncle's like my father figure my dad got to put
at a young age for me so my uncle kind of stepped up and was like my father figure and that's how
I started DJing and all that shit and he would always tell me even when I was just DJ
before I was even thinking about producing you always tell me in the music industry and a
DJ world you fired the first day you hired I'm like the fuck does that even mean like yeah
you fired the first day you hire so you only hot to you not you know you you only good is your
last hit and we when you DJ parties
you're like you only good is your last party so
if you go to another party and you shit they're not
going to want to book you again you know what I'm saying
so I think
what was that trying to say?
Talking about the tag I said it's a gift and the curse
yeah so when you
when you hot that tag
you're on fire but when you
not that tag can curse you can think I don't want to do that beat no more
because that's who we'll be you know what I'm saying we don't got no tag
that shit don't really matter yeah it's time
yeah it's timeless so you got to kind of be
good you got to continue to
so the tag helped you because you was ever to
I think I'm just kind of good
oh okay I like that and speaking
of DJing
you know they said uh
you know because I know people to know people
yeah we do and they told me
DJ Mustard
they said back in the
in the G
in the day
they said nigga was so good of a DJ
that nigga used to DJ the rivals
parties I said what you mean they said
the enemies
they said they'd get a
nigga a pass just because he is a good DJ
He'd be from a, you was able to go to another turf
He'd be from a whole different turf.
I mean, come DJ to party.
All right, hey up, get the fuck back home.
No, no, it was, it got,
I went to Dorsey High.
So Dorsey High is like, it's all bloods at Dorsey High.
But I grew up over there.
That's where I grew up.
I never gangbane, but I grew up.
My cousins, all the niggas gangbain.
But Dorsey is, you know, I went to that school.
My sister went to Dorsey.
My whole family went to Dorsey.
So I'm going to Dorsey, and I, I don't know.
I think I got so popular as a DJ.
Crenshaw, which is, you know, the rival school.
Like, nigger, Dorsey and Crenshaw games are probably the most dangerous games.
You know, like, it's just crazy.
Like, the high schools back when I was going to school, I don't know if they still do that,
but they had to police escort those teams.
Like, if Crenshaw was coming to Dorsey, they was police escorting the bus to the school.
And I think, like, one year I DJed on Crenshaw's side at their homecoming,
but they was playing Dorsey.
And my little cousin was DJing on Dorsey's side
But Chris, I was like, we need him on our side
We need, you know, I was just
Damn
So let me ask you a question
When they first
When they first called you to book you
Did you think it was a setup?
Like, we need you to come.
Nah, hell, no.
Was you like, wait, hold on,
this these things are trying to set me to fuck up?
Nah, hell, hell, no.
You're not from a blood neighborhood.
Yeah, nah, I wouldn't think like that.
I was so neutral with all this shit.
I got, I was DJing from fucking,
Westchester to
West L.A. to Fairfax, Palisades
fucking everywhere on here.
But did any of the Chris was ever like?
Nah.
You know your blood, cuss?
Nah, hell no.
I was too neutral because you were a hell of a DJ cause.
I was too, I was too neutral.
I was too like, I was always just,
like, I was DJing so many parties that
them niggas was like when I was in the club,
they was in the club.
But did you have separate sets?
Like, no, hell not.
No, no, no, no, no.
What I'm saying is DJ sets, like you might have a song over here that you can't play
when you want to, in a Crip neighborhood or, you know what I'm saying?
Music kind of universal at that point.
It wasn't like this music.
It wasn't like, no, beat, brazy at Crenshaw.
I wasn't playing on fucking Gisiders at Dorset.
But I wouldn't plan that at all.
You know what I wouldn't do that.
I was like fucking start a riot or some shit like that.
So you were just playing.
So you just went on the neutral.
I was like safe everywhere.
Okay, okay.
That's what I'm asking.
You know what I'm saying?
Because I'm like, okay.
Okay, if he got a hot record that's from a young blood that's coming up
and he disin the Crip, he playing in the blood neighborhood.
They're going crazy.
Then you got a hot record from a Crip that's this in a blood.
You play it in a Crip neighborhood.
I'm like, wait, was you going to land those type of games?
No, hell, no.
That's fuck around, get y'all ass killed.
You was playing the neutral game.
Now, how about my paper?
You've been relevant 10 years plus.
Yeah.
You know, it's 10 summers.
You got more than 10.
Yeah.
But you're going to change your name to 11 summers, 12 summers,
and just keep changing that motherfucker, 15, 30.
Nah, because that's not, you know, when people always see me,
like, you've been 10 summers, it's like,
that's not really what it means.
It means that when we started the label,
it was about whatever artists, the goal is for whatever artists
to have 10 summers in the game.
If you can make it 10 summers in music,
you should be okay to do something else outside of music
or get enough money to use that money and do something else
and live up.
You don't have to do music for the whole team.
You make it 10 years in music.
It should be good.
It should be cool.
Ten years.
Ten years, a decade in this shit?
It should be cool.
How did you, what was the keys to you staying relevant for all that time?
I don't think, that's the thing where everybody said that to me.
I don't think I stayed relevant.
That's what's crazy.
I know that sounds crazy y'all, but at one point when I first came in the game, I was scorching.
I'm talking about I had 10 songs on a Hot 100, and that kind of like dwelled down for a long time.
I stopped doing music when I was
getting sued. Like the guy that I was
doing music with, imagine this.
When I started doing music, how I learned
how to make beats was Ty, Ty Dullesan.
Gave me some sounds. Then I met
this other guy. I don't want to say his name because I don't want to
sue me again. But I met
this other guy. He showed me this shit called reasons.
When he showed me reasons, the niggas
started making shit too.
Which reasons? Reasons is another program.
So, the Thai was on the NPC 2000.
So I had a 2000 that I didn't know how to use
and I had reasons that I
Ty didn't have time to just sit there with me with the MPC.
So the guy ended up coming.
He was younger to me.
He was with my little guy brother or whatever.
And he started showing me the ropes of reasons.
So I started making beats, making beats, making beats.
And the nigger went to college.
He went to college.
And I think he texted me or email me.
He's like, hey, bro, I want to send you some stuff.
And we can, like, do this shit together.
I'm all right, for sure.
Niggas started sending melodies and shit.
And we went through a long.
we had a lot of success but in that success um i think that my the fame shit
my tag and shit kind of like fucked with him you know what i'm saying and then i fired my lawyer
and she was his lawyer too i brought him to this lawyer and when i fired her she'd like damn near
turned him against me you know what i'm saying and um so we did we did a lot of shit together
and once i got big he kind of like
like was like nigga you the one with all the
like nigga that ain't my fault
nigga I'm doing what I'm doing and
that kind of like dwindled out you know what I'm saying
and I had that lawsuit and I just stopped making music
because I'm like damn nigga like
we did this together we was doing this together
meet the fame shouldn't have changed you was taking care
of financially the money you know
and I would never I would never
if you wrote a song I would never take that song and be like
this is mine and not give you you know what I'm saying
so for me it kind of put me in a place where I'm like
god damn like this shit tricky like
The niggins turned fully against me, sued me.
You know what I'm saying?
And it was like just burnt out.
And that's neither here nor there.
And the reality of it is, guess what it was all about?
Money, thing.
Attack.
Yeah, attack.
If it would have said, mustard and Johnny on a bait,
it wouldn't matter.
It wouldn't matter.
When it's just saying mustard and Johnny, I'm Johnny.
Yeah, but like we were saying, like,
that shit put a strain on me in music.
So I used to go to the studio and, like, fucking sleep.
I just go to the studio and lay on the couch.
There's a point where you wasn't in the top point.
This is the point where, like,
Tena took a down for me, you know what I'm saying?
And then I forgot what happened.
I think my engineer, me and my engineer just one day I left the studio.
He was like, bro, I quit.
I can't keep doing this.
You're not the same.
Instead of, like, picking me up, like, the nigger, like, kind of, like, shit on me.
He's not the same.
And you didn't, you're not making music no more.
This shit ain't even inspiring.
And he, like, really was on me, you know?
I'm like, but he quit.
And I'm like, oh shit, my engineer just left.
I'm like, what the fuck I'm going to do now?
And in my mind, I'm just like, all right, my engineer left.
The nigger used to send me melodies left.
I always can make beats by myself, though.
And I'm going to always figure some shit out.
You know what I'm saying?
And when that shit happened, I felt like, obviously, I wasn't having all the top tens
and all that shit.
And I felt, I'm like, oh, right, my back against the wall.
I don't know about everybody else, but I perform really well with my back against the wall.
And I kind of needed that shit.
to happen to me because when that shit happened to me
I went and that's when I got needed me and from
needing me I was just like oh all right
y'all niggas think this shit's sweet like y'all think
what I'm doing is like it's y'all I think
it's because of y'all that I'm and I just
really went and start going crazy
like I was just really like start focusing on my craft
and just fucking like
like taking no
I'm not taking no for an answer
whatever and I just
shit
went crazy. It just turned up but you had that down moment in
yeah yeah so it was like so that's why I'd be feeling like
I still feel like the underdog
Which is, you know, to me I still feel that way
I still feel like people don't think
This is like, I think it's like a joke
Like it's like, not a joke
They think it's like a, it's not real
Like this shit is really real
Like I really do this
I think it was a momentary thing
Yeah, I still think people really have that
Like okay, he had his moment
It's like
Right on smack a nigga again
Like there's another, here come another one
You know what I'm like?
No, I'm not, I'm not one of niggas
That was here for
Three summers
Yeah, my people think I'm crazy
I said 10 motherfucker
That's a decade
That's a long time
And you still kicking
So sometimes you gotta
You know
You gotta
Just keep it moving man
Yeah
