go check out all their Instagrams.
The links will be below, all that stuff.
But I'm here with Invicta FC Veteran,
Estrina de Jesus.
But more importantly, as I say for all the people on,
we're here to talk about anything but fighting.
You have the honor of being the first weave.
Yeah, the first week.
I get this question quite a bit on Twitter, Instagram.
When are you guys going to do?
Because we did, of course, we did John Anick.
We did his love of Boston, just sports.
Joe B is the biggest cinephile I've ever met.
And I've gotten, when are you going to do?
comic books, when are you going to do video games, when you're going to do anime.
Anime's, if you know fight fans, that's probably the one I get requested the most.
Oh, yeah.
We're finally here.
We made it.
Finally.
I've gotten, when are you going to do Izzy?
When are you going to do Roxy?
When are you going to do Serena, Sadiq, you have, all this stuff.
So, Serena, for this point on, all the championship belts you win, this will be the
knock.
There's only one first.
You are the first weave on anything about fighting here on enmeafighting.com.
So we're going to talk anime, of course.
Where did your love for anime begin?
You started to talk about it earlier, but I wanted to say it for the show.
So my love of anime and fighting are kind of intermixed.
So my reward for behaving in school, because I was, no surprise to anybody,
it was not the well-behaved child all the time.
It was kind of a wild thing, was I got to rent anime from the video store
while my dad would rent UFC tapes.
So my first ever anime was Record of Lotus War, which is still amazing.
I found it on YouTube.
I'm still watching it all the time.
and then it went on from there,
went to apple seed,
it went to all sorts of stuff
before Tsunami took over everything
with the anime stuff.
And then, of course,
my love of anime was forever solidified
because the English dub of Sailor Moon,
Sailor Moon's name is Serena.
So you put little five, six-year-old
little girls seeing that going like,
oh my God,
and I loved the magical girl genre
when I was growing up.
I still do, which kind of throws people off
because they see me
and they think of just violence,
they'll hear, like,
they'll think I'm,
like watching some like Helsing Ultimate, which I do, still great. But I love the magical girl
genre, which sadly isn't around much anymore. No, it's really not. It's stupid.
Sailor Moon is as a guy, I didn't grow up watching it at the time because I did watch Tsunami,
of course. I was more into the, because when Sailor Moon was on, it was that, it was that show
in Ronan Warriors. Oh my God, Ronan Morris and Gundam. And Gundam. But those, but Sailor Moon and Ronan,
think were they were essentially the same show just one was more geared towards men yeah because like
salemoon had like sailor moon had like sailor moon and neptune or venus they had all the colors and they
had all the whole gang same with um the rona warriors too like sage reyu god i remember the i remember
the whole gang almost i had a sage toy from ronan warriors growing up when he got the horse and
everything with the halber yeah yeah sage was my dude he was my favorite out of all of them who was
the main one the red one the right you got the white armor at the end yeah i think that's re you i'm
forgetting but like all I knew is stage is my dude I'm like you 100 so but he was the smart
one of the group at the time those were the two shows I have no idea how old I was but
it got it more because then outlaw star came on tsunami yeah then I'm so glad you brought up outlaw
star that is an underrated gem very it got overshadowed by cowboy bea which cowboy beam up is great
but outlaw star was where it was that I know and then Tenshi muya was also on I it went so over
my head that that was what was considered a harem episode. I'm thinking, oh, they're just a whole bunch
of friends, you know, helping this guy out. And then as I got older, I'm like, oh, whoops,
my poor innocent little brain. So was there an anime that maybe you didn't watch when it was first
coming out that you've retroactively gone back to from that time, that you've been like, well, how did I
miss this back then? Neon Genesis Evangelion, first and foremost. And also Rerone Kencher.
surprisingly because I forgot there was a darker part.
There was like an alternate ending where like he had it like, okay, spoilers everybody.
Plug your ears.
Okay, I'm going to do three seconds.
If the people are watching this, they probably watch this.
Okay, well, the part where like Veroni Kenshin gets a disease and he's like slowly dying,
I think it was leprosy and then like, you know, he comes home to Karu just in time to die in her arms.
And I'm like, oh my God, this is horrible.
I like cried for days.
I'm like, no, because Veroni Kenshin was the dude.
He was silly, but like he could open that can of whoop ass any time, which is as a fighter, what I strive to be.
Like, I'm not out here going like, rah, rah, fight me.
You know, I'm just like, hey, let's go, you know, play video games and shit like that and go hang out.
But like, if someone tries me, I hope they're ready.
I hope they're ready.
Because I will daco my damn hand.
Yeah, Rorone Ketchett was very, I don't want to say he was ahead of his time, but now we're,
see the goofy male lead
a lot more. It started with Lupon
the 3rd from like the 60s.
That was like the manga and then
they're doing Lupon the 3rd
part 5 or 6 now.
I heard, yeah.
I love, do you watch that show
a little bit? The new movie's great.
It's their first one that's computer generated.
I enjoyed it because they didn't
lose the manga, the
anime feel. They still have like
the goofy head shaves and the steam arms.
That's what I'm looking at because I'm seeing
on the topic of
CGI anime.
I'm seeing like,
it's not,
like I saw St.
Sayah,
because I loved St.
Sain Sia growing up too,
and then the one that came out
on Netflix,
and the struts was singing
the themes,
and I love the struts.
Like my favorite rock band right now.
And I'm like,
it's gonna be great.
Then five minutes over,
I'm like,
nope,
turn that off.
When I say,
and the Godzilla anime movies
broke my heart.
It's not that bad.
It's not that bad.
It's not that.
It's not 2016
Bleach.
I'm not 2016 Berserk bad.
because that's
that's bad.
I can't get through like three, four.
And everyone watching this will probably,
if you've seen it,
you know what I'm talking about.
It's not that bad.
It feels more like a DreamWorks movie.
It's not like cells and everything like that.
But Lupan started it
and then like Bebop and Outlaw's Star
and Rooney Kenshin and Yu-Ju,
everything. One piece took it to another level.
The goofy male lead that eats a lot
is like kind of the thing
Now, but you do make a good point.
There aren't many, like, feminine anime superheroes these days.
No.
Like, superheroes I use loosely, but, like, a Salem Moon type character.
Yeah, the show joe, which is the shojo kind of anime.
Like, we have, everyone knows Shon Jump.
They don't know Shogho Beat, which is, like, the other part of Viz Media.
And that was me.
Like, I was watching, like, Vampire Night and other stuff like that.
Like, girls got emotions.
I like girly shit, too.
Even though I don't act like it online.
But, no, I'm really hoping.
arise will come to it, but it's going to take one.
There is one that I think
kind of counts, and that's Violet
Evergard, and that anime was
gorgeous. The one
where she has to write the letters.
She's like, she's like the, is she an android?
No, she lost her arms
in the war. But she like can't
emotionally connect, right?
I've seen the first
five or six episodes, and I saw
one of the movies. Aesthetically,
that is an astounding
anime. That's some of the best anime.
You have to watch all the shows, all the episodes, then watch the special, and then there's the first movie, and then there's the last movie that closes the entire anime.
Oh, it's over, over.
It's over, over.
And it was crazy because the last movie was supposed to come out earlier, but what happened is there was the arsonist attack on Kyoto animation that delayed that and a whole bunch of other shows.
And I was waiting for that because, like, I was left on such a cliffhanger.
I'm like, oh my God, Violet, do you get what you want?
Does your dream come true?
How long of a gap was that?
It was like a year and a half because, but I will wait a year and a half compared to what the heck happened over there.
That was horrible.
That was like probably one of the more deadlier attacks in Japanese history.
Yeah, I don't know if many people are aware of that, that there was like this big arson attack that essentially shut down a studio for.
And you saw people complaining like where's the shows, but they didn't really complain because like they're, they're.
there's real life things happen yeah exactly there's real lives there are people affected so i'm like
i'll take my year and a half wait trying to figure out what happened to violet and then i got into
other shows like wanda vision and stuff and like i'm all into that life video games comics anime
it's like it's a wonder why i'm still in the market
hit her up uh do you read the mongas too do you read many manga i used to but now i read
them more online don't tell anybody actually i just out of myself oh
Perfectly fair.
The last manga I read was
Assassination Classroom
because I loved that anime too.
I'm a kid's coach,
so I very,
very much relate to Corosensei,
but I got Roxy,
because I was playing one of the
Shonen Jump games,
that fighting games,
and Corosense was,
and she's like,
who the heck is that?
Because we all know
Roxy doesn't curse.
I don't know why,
bless her.
And she started watching the anime,
and I'm like,
okay, I got to stay ahead of this.
And then I started reading the manga,
and I knew there was going to be a heartbreaking moment.
And Roxy, like, because we were still roommates at this time,
burst into my room, going, like,
did you know the ending?
I'm like, maybe?
And then she was so upset.
Her heart's too pure, but as a coach, that's kind of how we feel.
Is there an anime you're embarrassed to say you haven't seen?
Ralph's answering my brain cells right now.
That's my bird.
Huh, an anime embarrassing.
that I haven't seen yet.
I have not seen in its entirety Fire Force,
which is ironic because...
Oh, wow. That is another deep cut.
Well, not deep cut.
That's not what I would expect you to say.
Yeah, because I'm a...
I did volunteer firefighting back when I was little,
and I'm like, okay, I had that life.
Why don't I watch an anime about it?
I'm watching Hajimae Noipo because I fight.
I'm watching Kenganashira because I fight.
Like, Saupong is my dude.
If only I could do Lithway.
but um
i oh yeah
but um yeah i got a thick skull my parents say so all the time anyways
but um yeah that i should be seeing more i mean
especially since i now have downtime i've been taking the time to actually like expand my
anime horizons because i went rewatch claymore and it's in its entirety
love that anime claymore no one talks about that no they don't they don't talk about
helsing ultimate anymore which makes me upset they don't talk about helsing in general i know
And Helsing was great.
Helsing Ultimate was fantastic.
And of course, Team Fourstar finally finishing the abridged,
which sent me laughing so hard.
I'm trying to think of anything else.
But no, Fire Force is what I'm...
Also, I haven't finished One Piece in its entirety.
I'm like 500 episodes behind.
Yes, I won't.
You won't.
Because holy crap.
I think there's ten...
I didn't watch Narotone its entirety either,
so everybody's going to hate me for that too.
I think One Piece, the guy who created One Piece
a few years ago said he still has...
still had 10 years of material left on the manga.
Oh my God.
On the manga, which means I would imagine the show has at least 10, 15 years.
They just passed episode of that.
I'm like on episode 600 or something.
I have a friend who her and her husband are completely caught up.
I think Roxy's caught up too.
That's unbelievable.
So I'm thinking like, damn, I'm going to be retired of my fight career when One Piece
ends arguably by that time.
I was eight.
I know.
And it still happened.
Because we all remember the English rap.
and then we tuned to the Japanese version.
Like, wait a minute, there was no rap.
I feel so disenfranchised.
Right.
Yeah, I'm not caught up with One Piece by any means.
Is there a popular anime that you, that is also,
the world loves that you're maybe, you don't get it?
You don't get the hype?
It's going to have to go to, I love Naruto, but it's a little much.
Like, it's original, it's everything, but I,
didn't anticipate having a huge fan base like it did. I'm happy it did because it. I can't believe it does.
Yeah. I mean, I say that wearing a Garra t-shirt. Yeah, exactly. Like, I'm happy it did. It did wonders for
anime and stuff. But I was just like, for me, it felt kind of generic, like, in a way.
When it, I think it's peak, it's one of the best things. When it's at its best, it's the best.
There's a lot of bad Naruto. There's the, I love the lore. I am in the boat.
where I liked Naruto more than Naruto Shipuddin?
I can see that.
I liked when Naruto...
It was just the over-tried, you know, cliches that...
Right.
I'm starting to have a problem now with anime nowadays.
Like, it's hard for me to get into anime nowadays as it was when I was younger,
because a lot of the tropes and themes are starting to become overplayed, and I get it.
Like, with a lot of anime on the market and whatnot, you're bound to have repeats and stuff,
but it's getting to be more and more and more.
Yeah, that's why I liked...
I like Naruto more than Shepuddin because I liked when they were students,
because at least they weren't, like, overpowered.
Right.
So they couldn't just go full Nantails Fox and just, like, run through you.
And don't get me wrong.
I love these overpowered, like, hype scenes like that.
I'm all for Super Sane 3 and the fusion.
That and Demon Slayer, the fighting sequences there.
Like, I'm all for it.
But, like, I feel like it's been overdone.
There wasn't always proper buildup to those moments like there has been.
Like there's no longer like a slow but steady build to like these giant, you know, head on, you know, confrontations anymore.
Naruto had some good ones, but like all the time, like not all the time.
But it's getting worse and worse and worse in anime, I feel as it goes along.
Yes.
And they go through, like it started in the 90s with Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z and Yu-U-Hakshu.
And then when those ended, Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto all came out like right together.
Right.
And there are essentially a lot of them are just the same show.
It's like the hero's journey is what I describe it as.
And which makes sense.
And then Demon Slayer's kind of taken that.
That's like this generation.
That's like this generation.
But the story at least,
the stories of these individual animas I appreciate.
But like, sometimes I wonder if some of these anime run on for their own good.
Like, don't get me wrong.
I love good anime.
Like when Bled Plus ended, I was upset.
Hey, I was a blue gender.
That was a really good dystopian sci-fi anime.
but they knew when to call it and I'm starting to feel like they're not knowing when to call it like
at least one um my here academia is starting to we're starting to see where it's going to be called
which is great because we're final I would like to think now we're in that final arc series
yeah season series arc whatever and demon slayers ending soon too yeah so attack on time exactly so
at least they're knowing how to end it but like I have something like I don't know if it's like
a lack of focus but when these long
longer animas like bleach, like one piece and whatnot, have fillers and entirely throws me off.
So I have to like actually look online for the list of these episodes and then which episodes to
avoid because they're fillers so I don't get thrown off.
And then like after maybe the arc ends, I'll go rewatch the filler episode and see if they
have any, you know, input to the store or if it was or character development or if it was
just something completely off topic to buy time for the animators and this and, you know,
everybody involved with the story.
I, yes, that is, I'm glad you brought that up because I feel like the filler episode, especially for like Naruto One Piece, when you know it's to give the animators time, I get it because I went, do you watch Attack on Titan?
Yes.
So did you watch it when it first came out?
Yep, I watched when it first came out.
I'm still halfway through it.
Please don't spoil anything for me.
I can't.
I got to the point where Aaron basically triangle choked the armored titan.
It was the coolest thing ever.
I'm like, yeah, MMA and anime.
I love to see it.
You have so much to go.
I know I do.
I can't even.
I know I do.
I have,
look, I have all this time.
I say that in just pure jealousy,
because you get to experience it again.
But there are a handful of filler episodes in Attack and Titan near the end because,
A, it's the most expensive anime per episode.
And do you remember when season one ended,
they caught up to the show, I mean, the manga.
So we waited like four years, four or five years for episode two.
And now I hate how they're doing it.
It's like finals, like the fourth season or fifth season is the final season,
but it's like 5.1.
And then you get a big break and then 5.2, 5.5.
They're not even doing havesys with it.
That's what kills me.
So I expect big things when I catch up to see.
So the final part of the final season starts in a few weeks.
I still have time because I'm split between my hair academia at Vinland Saga and catching up on that.
Tell me about Vinland Saga.
I'm here for it.
I love that so much.
I love that so much.
I love that so much.
I know.
My heart breaks for him, but he went into a total badass mode.
Like, we don't see too many dagger play.
And this is an original anime.
This is the stuff I'm talking about.
I don't think I've ever seen an anime that.
covered the Viking era.
Ever.
You have that weird
Ragnarok show on Netflix?
Yeah, Vikings.
And there's Vikings Valhalla.
No, there's an anime called
something, I can't remember the name of it.
It's like Ragnarok, but it's...
Oh, age of Ragnarok, yeah.
Yeah, and that's more of, if I'm remembering
correctly, because there's like three or four
shows that all aesthetically look the same,
and I've tried to watch all of them, but that's more of like a,
like they take heroes from all their...
Oh, wait, Fate Stay Night.
Maybe.
I think that's Fate Stay Night.
There's fate stay night and then there's fate zero and then there's this other one I can't remember because I remember like Lou Bo.
I'm forgetting because the fate series I'm trying to get into too too but it's a good series.
It's fragmented kind of like the dot hack series was back in the day because you had dot hack sign dot hack and then you had like this other dark hack which I forget but you had multiple dark hack.
um dot hack series that had like different characters different but it was still the same they're logged
into the world that same video game system right okay now i know what you're talking about yeah the
video game one um but yeah villain saga i love anime that's not in japan if that makes sense it makes
total so like have you watched monster i did the full like that's a that's a that is a good psychological
thriller that's a good psychological thriller the
ending I'm right the ending is very like I don't like open-ended endings for anime I like it to end and
that is about as open I feel like it could have gone there's too many questions I have the end of that
but that takes place in Germany if I remember correctly I love stuff like that and I love anime
that ask you like philosophical questions like that and I think also psychopaths really brought up
some good philosophical questions like in monster like do I do the good thing and kill somebody who's
yeah fucking insane or
and it's like do I dismantle a system that, you know,
kills people before they are supposedly to turn evil or do I let this happen so if I'm
survived.
It's the trolley dilemma in a way.
So it's like, what do I do?
Either way, it's going to suck.
Are you big into sports anime?
A few.
I used to be into slam dunk.
Oh, hell yes, you're into slam dunk.
That's, that was a while ago.
But I watched that.
Apparently they remade it, and I'm extremely excited to see what that looks like.
I have student. My students are into that volleyball and hike.
Yeah, that one's really good. That one is very good. I heard that was good. That one's very good.
And non-animay fans love that show. And back of the day, used to actually read the Prince of Tennis manga.
Oh, hell yes. So that was like my jam. I've seen, I've seen every episode of that.
That's, Prince of Tennis is slam dunk is not the best, but it's the most fun.
Oddly enough, that's the most, I don't know if it's the most popular. It's one of the most popular anime's in China.
Not surprised for the love of the NBA and everything in basketball.
I think that's cool.
And there's an, so that show ends.
That manga ends too.
It has an actual ending.
And years later, the creator did an art book where he took all, it's not a new story.
Okay.
But it's an art book where he draws like just full pages and it shows all the characters now.
Oh, cool.
So they're all older and like they'll have kids or they're in college and stuff.
It's great.
Even better closure.
It's like, okay, here it is.
Now you guys don't have to wonder about it.
anymore. And I love that. I love Prince of Tennis. I love cross game. I don't know if you ever
heard of it. I don't, I have not heard of cross game. To me, I think that's the best sports manga.
Okay. It's about baseball. But you don't have to like baseball. Okay. It's like it is a
slice of life high school thing. That just they happen to be playing baseball.
It was that one, wait, that reminded me with that one that you don't have to know what to like it.
There was this one called with this boys swim team that like one of my students
recommends called like free eternal summer or something like that.
Yes.
I'm like,
yes.
So that I haven't started it.
I haven't started it.
That's also on my to do list.
It's on my list.
It's on my list.
My students have been giving me so many recommendations since I've been silent.
Like, oh, watch the promise Neverland.
I've heard that I have to prepare myself for that.
So that's on my list too.
I have a friend, the same one who is all who's watched all of One Piece says don't
watch it, read it.
First.
Okay.
Because or he said if you, if you're going to read it,
don't watch the show first because they cut a ton out.
Just like a novel.
So all right.
I'll have to read the manga on that one.
Read it because I guess they'll, like all the characters are fleshed out on the pages.
Okay.
And they're not in the show.
So it's on my, I'm going to watch it, but I have to read it.
Same with that recommendation.
Right.
Anybody who watch all of one piece says do this, you know what?
They know what they're doing.
They absolutely do.
I'm just going to defer to their judgment.
Do you watch Chainsaw Man going there?
I have not.
We're getting there.
I promise.
If I do any more than four shows at once, I will just, like, lose it entirely.
So I think that's the best new anime since the time.
All I saw is a copy bar with a chainsaw, and I was sold.
That's all I need to see in social media.
I'm like, okay, we're writing that down on the list.
It's the, I think that's the most original anime I've ever seen in my life.
I love it.
Do you watch One Punch Man at all?
Yes.
So if you...
I always joked when me and Jordan Levitt used to train together.
I always called him One Punch Man.
Oh, yeah.
Because back up until then, like, he literally only threw like one or two punches in his whole career.
And he always shaved his head down before he fought.
He, his, uh, the last time, the first time I spoke to him, he was trying to read 50 books in a year.
He did that.
And it was very, very impressed.
And he was reading...
Can manga books count?
because then I got that covered.
If comic books count, that's like a month for me.
I know.
Chainsaw Man is a more violent one-punchman.
Yes.
With demons in, obviously, demons in.
Yes, I heard violence.
I don't know what the stories are, but there's something weird with the animation studio.
I heard it's like Korean animators doing it.
I don't know if this is true, but people have told me this, and I think, so the first season is over.
It's only 13 because it's incredibly expensive to make, and I guess the working conditions are great.
That makes sense because traditionally a Japanese anime season is more or less 12 episodes.
Yeah, 12 to 25.
Yeah, 12 to 25.
Like, they have like, normally they used to break up into seasons, like 12 episodes per season.
And then we had anime like Inouya and whatnot starting to break the rules on that.
But.
Noroto too.
Yeah, Nauru.
Well, Nauruio one piece don't really do seasons.
No, they don't.
They just keep going and going with the energizing punny.
They tried to Americanize it for Netflix, so there'll be like Naruto, season 9, episode 23.
But then if you look at my anime list, it's just like episode 494.
There's no like gap.
Yeah, exactly.
Like I'm looking at, because where I watch, it's like in seasons and episodes.
But then when I see it full force, like you're on episode 100, something, something like, oh, I've been really invested in this, haven't I?
Right.
Before we get to the next segment where we're going to get more granular, whether you're some of your, some of your,
favorite movies, anime movies.
Okay, so obviously
ghosts in the shell. Appleseed, because
Apple Seed was awesome.
I mean, I guess the... Female-driven sci-fi, huh?
I guess the anime...
A wind called amnesia.
Oh, when...
I am so glad you brought it up. I think...
This isn't even a hot take.
That movie needed to be
two, because
the first half is so interesting.
When they escape and then they find
the first city and there's like the tap
like the machine or something or like the crane or something being used you know that that first
they're not rebellion they're just like a biker game type thing in the city and then it just went so
quick that needed to be too that is such a good movie yes it is and nobody talks about that
anymore and it makes me sad yeah that so you're a big big dystopian future gal huh i'm preparing for
the future you and my girlfriend would be you and my girlfriend would have a lot to talk about that's her
jam oh yeah um have do you like akita or akira
Hell yeah, I did. My dad actually got me into that.
There you go.
He was, like I said, because of me getting the anime, he loved anime growing up, so that's kind of how I got into it too.
Have you read the manga, Akira?
Yes, and they cut out so much for me.
They did, but I don't think it's like, the movie's still great, even though they cut everything out.
I'm a stickler for details.
That's for me, but yeah, they did an all right job, but it was just like, oh my God, I'm like reading it all.
I'm like, how do they, okay.
I know.
So the rumor is that Tomo wants to do a show
So he could get everything in there
So he would come back
Now he did another show that you can watch on YouTube
I can't remember the name of
But it's not it's his animation
But it's very computer
Like that one we're talking about we don't
But I give him a pass because it's like
It was very like 2007-ish
And I forgot the other movies I was thinking of
Because we also have Metropolis
Because we kind of talked about earlier
And then it just came to me
And I lost it wasn't
It was not dystopian.
It was something else that I'm, like, spacing on it entirely now.
But at least I remember.
I love all the studio Jibli fans.
But my favorites in particular that stick out to me was I love Princess Montanoke.
Go figure.
That's my favorite movie all time in any genre.
Yeah.
So I actually used spirited away to get my whole entire family into anime because my mom was
kind of, I'm bad at my siblings.
That's the gateway.
That's the gateway.
That's the gateway.
Spirited away, and my mom got into anime.
a she's not like a huge fan but she's
she watched
my neighbor Totoro
Nazago the Valley of the Wind
was a good one
that's my favorite manga I have that tattoo
on my bicep
nice and Castle in the Sky
and I also love
Porco Rosso too
They're all great
Polcarovo is great
Cat Returns is great
Wind also rises
They're all great
Oh the wind also rises
Hurt me
Have you seen grave of the fireflies
Yes you know
I trolled my mom
I found the same tin of candies
Sold in Chinatown once
and I gave it to her as a present,
and I rattled it in front of her.
I'm a cruel individual.
I know.
I'm a cruel person.
What the hell?
I only got one time to do that.
How many times have you seen that movie?
Three times.
That's two more than you need to.
Look, if I'm going to be sad, everybody around me is sad.
They're sad.
They're sad.
And then there's grave of the firefly.
So look, if I'm sad, we're all going to be sad.
You're the first person I've ever met.
I'm not making, this is not a joke.
You're the first person I've ever met that has,
that has watched that movie twice, more than once, on purpose.
That's unreal.
I mean, I'm a little crazy to be in the realm of business that I am,
so I mean, I got to go all in.
I can't do it.
There's like a funny meme where it was like,
I saw it on, like, a call, like, a year ago.
It was like, if you could go back in time.
And it was like, the time machine thing.
The girl goes back in time and they like.
Don't watch Grave of the Fireflies.
No, it shows a kid running with food to the girl.
At the end, it's that when she's like chewing on the button.
Yeah, that part.
But it was just like, for me, it's just like these were the realities that people had to live with.
So it's not me like watching something that was like fake and sad.
Like I tried to watch Elfin Lead.
I could not.
It's like I turned it up because that had no historical basis.
This was not covering things people.
Oh, that makes sense like Vinlan Saga.
But like, with Grave of the Fireflies, this was the reality of how life was after all that happened.
So much like Godzilla, for example, like, there was a lesson to me alone, like five-year-old being like, oh, it's a giant dinosaur squishing shit.
Cool.
And then as I got older, it's like, oh, oh.
I'm seeing like scenes like the mother holding her son's like, we're going to be okay.
They died.
And it's like, oh.
So have you seen Barefoot again, too?
Not yet.
That's the Hiroshima one.
Yeah, I heard of that one.
and I'm like, do I really want to break my heart?
I'm like, yeah, but I just need to build a little bit more emotional tolerance.
It's not as bad as great of the fireflies, but it's still like...
It's right there.
It's right there, but it's not...
It's right there because they animate the bomb?
Oh, yeah, that would do it.
And they, so you can...
And what it did to everybody, yeah.
It shows it happening.
I know, and I'm like, yeah, you're right on that point.
I conveniently forgot that part that everybody was melting a lot.
but yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I was like, oh, but the kid died and the family and the bonds being afterwards,
like everybody, all the kids for themselves part.
I'm like, oh, I feel my heartstrings.
Then seeing everybody get blown up, which is concerning.
I guess I take my job as a kids coach seriously.
And last question, before we move on in the next one,
do you watch the live action adaptions of stuff?
Yes.
I've watched live adaptions of the Rorone-Kenton thing,
which was so good.
Oh, my God.
That's one of the few I can tolerate it.
actions that are done in Japan are the good ones.
Anything else, I think that America touches just Dragon Ball Revolution's.
That doesn't exist.
Exactly.
We're not even going to go there.
So we don't touch that stuff.
Death Note was bad.
Of course it was.
The live action, Jin Roe, was very good.
I don't know if you watched that movie.
I have wanted to.
Like, the Death Note live action, when it was done in Japan was good.
But when they did that, that Netflix garbage, it's like what?
Because I enjoyed seeing a live action L doing it.
his thing. Oh yeah. I liked... Like L had his own like side feature film. Oh yeah. And I went
Fathom Events. There was like only five other people there and I'm like watching it. I'm like,
oh man, I'm so glad to go to the Fathom Events. They do Anna Mondays in Arizona. Oh and
why can't they do that here? It's Vegas, man. The first Monday of the month at that in Arizona,
they do like a random one. Right. So and then they do trivia at the beginning. Fathom events is the
savior because that's where I'm going to see the Godzilla versus Mecha Godzilla.
and no, that was past.
Godzilla Tokyo SOS comes in March,
and you bet I'm going to be in that seat
with my Godzilla stuff on,
and I will not be stopped.
I may not be able to use this hand,
but I still got elbows.
Yeah, the Gin Roan was good,
the Rony Kenshin one was good,
Descendope.
I didn't like the live action attack on Titan,
but I loved the...
I heard the live action attack on Titan
wasn't great sighting.
I think it was rushed.
It came out right when the first,
seasons ended.
Ah, so they were trying to strike when the iron was hot, but they fucked them.
But the technology of the Titans is great.
I saw it because they were even using them in Toyota commercials.
In commercial, right.
I remember.
Nailed it.
Anyway, this is Jose.
That's Serena.
We'll be back after this commercial break.

Welcome back, everyone, to episode, I keep saying, I can't remember what episode this is.
I'm going to say three or four, three maybe of anything we're fighting here on MMFighting.com.
Serena, of course, pulled back the current on her love.
of anime. The first weeb on anything
but fighting won't be the last. Probably won't
be the last time she's on the show to begin with.
When you catch up to
attack on Titan, you let me know.
I will let you know immediately.
And then I'll come back here and we'll
do a nice little recap.
Anyway, everyone's favorite segment
episode two where we like LIS
here on the show.
The first episode, Joe did a
very big deep dive on his love
of the Oscars and movies.
John Anik did his
like Boston Spurs.
sports thing so but i take a list of the internet and now i want your list okay of the 10 greatest
anime shows of all time oh man that is a good list now you don't have to use the ones on this list you can
if if you think sailor moon's a top 10 you can put it in the top okay this is i gns i still want to
see this is the internet gaming network i think that's what i yeah we everybody knows what
igon is but i'm very curious on what so this was ig n and i only chose to you
was IGN because when I googled
top 10 anime, this was
the first link, which means it's the most clicked on.
Essentially, probably
not true, but it's the most
searched at least. Okay. So this is
IGN's list of the 10 greatest. We have
number one, we have full mental alchemist brotherhood.
I'm not going to argue.
We got Cowboy Bebop. I think
that's one spot too low, in my opinion.
We got one piece. We got
Monster. We got no EPO.
Mob cycle 100.
Hunter, Hunter.
Neon Genesis.
Neon Genesis, Yu-U-Hakishu and Fully Cooley.
Fully Cooley was so underrated.
Fully Cooley is wicked underrated.
Full Middle Alchemist stays in its top spot.
Top spot?
That was great.
My little brother who was very
hesitant for anime, even after Studio Ghibli,
like he wasn't an anime series.
He was in an anime show.
He was in a movie, not shows.
And that was the anime that got him into it.
I can't believe we're on segment two.
And this is the first mention of Full Mental Alchemist.
Yeah.
How about that episode with the dog?
I get so overwhelmed all the anime.
I know that's the problem.
So,
Cowboy Bebup can stay where it is.
Really?
I think, honestly, they should be tied.
They're both really good.
But I love...
The anime, not the live action.
That doesn't exist either.
Nope.
We don't know.
We don't know that.
But, yeah, they should be tied,
but as they are.
Now, One Piece may be great,
but I want to put Psychopass.
Psychopath.
That's a good one.
There's a lot of science and sci-fi up here.
Psychopass.
There's an other one I was thinking of.
Oh, it was somewhat scientific, but I'm like spacing.
Is it?
I'm going to remember it tomorrow.
I promise it's not Dr. Stone, although Dr. Stone's school.
No, now what I was thinking of.
It's not that.
Moving on.
Ergo proxy?
Is that what?
Yes.
Ergo proxy.
And the time traveling one with the guy, with the, oh my God,
I used to watch that one all the time.
It's the guy with the doctor who travels back in time to stop the one
doctor from getting, the one female doctor from getting, it was, Stein's Gate, there we go.
Stein's Gate was good.
Stein's Gate is on, because I looked at other lists.
This is the one that I, like, obviously my anime plant or my anime network or whatever it's
called is going to be more deep cuts or like, I trust that list more.
Right.
But for this show, because everyone's heard of these.
Yes.
But Steinsgate was number three all time.
Because it was so good.
Right. It was so good.
Right. That's a good one.
Like, it started slow, but it was great.
So I loved that one.
Then, um...
Do you want to put that four?
Yes.
Four, that's four.
Um, number five, Erone Kenchin.
Oh, man, I'm not spelling that one, right?
It's okay.
Wandering Samurai, because like, we're going to try.
Do you...
So I love the Wandering Samurai trope.
Like the Usagi Ojimbo comics.
Oh, man.
I loved that.
I love that.
I love that.
I love that a crossover with the Teenage Bouton
Ninja turtles.
Yes.
Whenever someone when asked me, what's your favorite ninja turtle character?
I always say, Usagi Jojimbo.
And they're like, ah, you're an idiot.
I'm like, just being honest.
It's like when Jibli got bought by Disney, like Disney has the rights,
people are like, what's your favorite Disney princess?
And I'm like, Princess Mona Noki, they're like, you're an idiot.
It's like, well, you're not wrong.
Just like how now the Star Wars, like Princess Le is a Disney princess too.
That is an excellent point.
No, she's in my top five.
that's probably not spelled right but number six what we got okay we got that number six code geos
that was really good and it was a little bit more on the futuristic side of things too so it was pretty
original um blood plus because i do love the blood series like the movie first one was good but
the blood plus series was good but then the one that came afterwards was unnecessarily gory i was
like yes people being twisted all sorts of ways and i'm like i'm good
Did you watch Parasite?
I have watched one episode.
I'm just like, it's fine.
It's all right.
Talking, talking things.
Do you watch, did you ever read Jinjuido books like Usumach, like the horror writer?
He's the bet.
I read some because I remember there's a manga that was in my school library of all places.
That's insane.
They had like a whole bunch of short horror stories.
Yeah.
And one of them was like this dude was a train conductor.
Somebody saw a ghost throw himself and he thought it was real.
And it broke him so psychologically he went to a psychboard.
Jinjuido does, they just did another anime of his stories and it just got added to Netflix.
If you like horror stories that have no ending and are just very bizarre and violent.
Okay, as long as they're Gilmiel Duturo style violent and never ending, I'm down.
That's my style of horror.
It's very, like, I can't explain it because anything else I would explain, I'd be like, it's just like Jinjuito.
Like, it's his style of horror.
Okay.
Like, he's the one that's kind of, like, there's no, like, when I read it or watch this,
I'm like, where did you come up with this?
I like that.
And then it just ends.
All of his stories, that's what the problem is.
It just ends.
That gives you questions.
It's a slice of horror is what it is.
On the slightly horror side, Helsing Ultimate is on number eight, because, like, I just, like,
started rewatching it.
I'm just like, man, I missed it.
And then number nine, Wolf's Rain.
People forgot about that show, and it was really good.
Wolf's Rain and number 10.
I'm spelling something wrong.
It's okay.
Number 10, I'm like trying to rack my brain.
I guess because, you know, we're going to have, we have to have Sailor Moon on there.
This is quite the list.
No list is complete without Sailor Moon somewhere on there.
I just, for my girlfriend's birthday in August, I got someone to custom create a denim Sailor Moon jacket for her.
I love it.
Me and on the summers, I'm running around my Sailor Moon bikini.
And everybody in the pool is like, oh, it's such a cute bikini.
I'm like, thank you, I know.
Not really, I know, but I'm like happy that people are recognizing it.
Post Malone is a big sailing moon fan.
I know, it's cool.
He, uh, I used to have a tuxedo mask, um, watch as a kid.
Nice.
And I had it not knowing.
Was the watch useless or no?
That was good.
That was very good.
No, he's so good.
I love that character.
Anyway.
I like tuxedo mask too, but it's just like, my work here is done.
You haven't really done any.
No, it's so good.
That's so good.
I do that to her.
I'll say that.
She'll be like, she'll ask me so on her.
I'm like, all in a day's work.
And she'll be like, for what?
No need to thank me, citizen.
And I'll just like leave the room.
Just get your bathroom, just like flip it over.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
So you have, this is quite the list.
I'm trying to like see how many.
The only ones you both have are the top two.
Mm-hmm.
Like I love hydrogen.
made Oipo as well. Yeah. And it was really revolutionary for the sport genre, so don't get me wrong.
But this is my personal list. No, you're right. It's your list. Yeah. I'm really glad you have
psychopaths on there. I am very glad you have Stein's Gate on there. Oh, man, it was so funny,
because I interestingly enough gotten to Steinsgate because I saw a meme where the main character
was saying, like, Dr. Pepper was the drink of the chosen few. And I'm like, he's right. Let me go
see this anime and see what it's about have so have you looking so you said you've seen full
metal you've seen bebop you're not even halfway done with that's weird like it's good but like
it is there are so many fillers i know there are that's what kills me is there was it's like
dodging landmines i read a list of like the longest fight like fights for a long time one of the
fights on yu hukshu i think was you huxuu i was it in the demon tournament
arc?
Maybe.
I think so.
It was nine episodes for one fight.
And at the time, that was a lot.
It was.
But then,
um,
Goku versus Friza passed it.
Oh,
Lord,
don't even get us started.
Like,
I was getting so mad because I'd be like running home from school every day
trying to see it.
And it was just like,
I'm thinking there was finally going to be in anything.
And it was like,
no.
Even at that age,
like that little school age,
the tsunami stuff.
I'm just like,
do we know?
What are we doing?
And then once you,
Oh, get we started.
Once you get past the Friza arc,
I mean, there are, like, the Android arc is good.
The Cell arc was all right.
The Cell arc was long.
The Boo arc was fun.
The Boo arc was great.
That was my favorite arc.
Until Dragon Balls E ended and they brought Boo back to life as a kid,
then I'm like, well, that whole thing was a waste.
It really was.
That pissed me off.
But then Kid Boo kind of kind of did well, but it was just like,
I felt like the kind of.
I felt like it kind of went more full circle than we wanted it to go.
Yeah, just end it.
Just ended it.
And what was the...
There was another one in there that was bad.
It was between Friza and the Android arcs.
But I'm gonna...
I'm not gonna remember.
Yeah, it's okay.
It was horrendous.
And Saman was also very bad too.
You've seen Monster.
You said you enjoyed Monster.
Monsters fantastic.
And if it likes those nice, easy, psychological.
Thrillers, no too many wild shit.
Monster, the guy who did Monster did
20th Century Boys, the manga, which
is very long, very substantial,
and just, again, a mind trip.
And then did you, you mentioned
in the first segment, did you read or watch
Astro Boy? Yes.
And also including the 2004 remake,
because that was on Tsunami.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So.
Because Astro Boy reminded me of my favorite,
of my favorite video game character of all time,
which is Mega Man.
so because well astroboy was the first and then like
Mega Man Astroboy like
What was the I've played one Mega Man game
It was I want to say
2000 2001 or 1999 something like that
Which one was it? I don't remember the name of it
It was a side scroller but they weren't like sprites
And it was on like it was on a TV
It was a system it wasn't like a Game Boy or anything
Was it a SNAS? Was it placed? So it wasn't 8 bit right?
No
So you're probably looking at the PlayStation 1 era
Yes
Yes. It was definitely PlayStation 1.
For all I, it could have been Mega Man 12 or you could have started the Mega Man X series with 4 and 5.
The thing that I remember is like obviously that every level had like a boss, but they looked like Mega Man-ish.
Like they had armor and they could shoot things out.
So like one of the guys could shoot tornadoes out of his thing.
Oh yeah, you beat him.
Yeah, the Mega Man X series, it sounds like I think you went against Storm Eagle right there the way how you made that sound.
But no, that was my favorite stuff.
But when you beat them, you got there.
You got their power, which is in every Mega Man here.
But that's, I can't remember the name of it.
No, for me, I love Mega Man because Mega Man's kind of like fighting in general.
You fight.
Training Kemp from you was always, you know, getting through the level.
And then you get to the cage.
Barbara Whitaker says the same thing.
Yeah, you get into the cage, like seeing the final boss right there, and you win, you learn a new power, and you take it to use them the next bad guys.
There you go.
Well, the reason I ask you about Astro Boy is there was a, it was maybe one episode, maybe two,
where someone creates like multiple robots.
But they don't look like afterboard.
They actually look like big scary robots.
And I think one of someone's going on,
he wants to, he wants to prove he's the most powerful one.
Yeah.
So he's fighting all of the robots.
And the guy who wrote Monster reimagines that arc
as like a neo-noir detector story
where like someone is going around killing the other robots.
So because Astroboy is a robot, he's one of the prime target, so they have to protect him.
Yeah, I kind of remember that.
If people are asked wondering.
I barely remember that.
Holy smokes, what a flash in the past.
I know.
And have you watched Mob Psycho?
I have not.
That's on the list.
Sidique Yusef tweets about this all of time.
Okay.
Yeah.
I've heard good things.
It's very good.
Hunter X Hunter I've watched a little bit.
It's good.
It's good.
A little long.
I'm in the midst of it.
But it's very long.
And then I'm getting thrown off because the creator is getting sick on and off and then hiatus.
Well, Hunter Hunter is they did one anime in the 90s and then redid it in the late 2000s.
It's the exact same thing with just better animation.
But I like the grimy, crunchy 90s animation.
Oh, yeah.
I love Hunter Hunter.
It's one of my favorite shows.
I miss the old 90s style of animation and detail.
Or lack of detail.
Well, yeah, lack of detail.
but you would see the more,
you know what I mean,
but the more detail in the hair
and the eyes that you do nowadays.
Because everything had to be hand drawn
and themselves.
Yeah, exactly.
Mob Psycho is good if you're going back,
if you like Akira.
Oh, nice.
Neon Genesis is in my top five.
It's a good one.
Especially if you've seen...
It was hard to leave that off the list.
It is.
I love that animal.
I was surprised.
So neon genesis,
if you've seen the movie,
there's four movies.
I know.
So the,
There's 26, 27 episodes, and the ending of the original show is not for everyone.
No, no, it is not.
So the first movie is an alternate ending that actually wraps it up.
And then the one, two, three came out with, like, very recently.
Within the last few years, correct.
Yeah, and it's like a continuation.
They're all very, it's all good.
It's all great.
But I will give it to Anno that at least he's expressing his depression.
say that five times fast throughout his
throughout his works and everything
and in a way kind of helped him out
when he's not being overworked to death with it
Yu Yu-Yu-Hakishu. Have you seen Yu-U-U-Hawks?
I fucking love Yu-Hakishu-Ku-Ku-Hu-Ki.
And Fully-Cooly you mentioned at the beginning.
Fully-Cule-Cule was great,
but it was one of those animas that like,
you're like, hold on, what?
Because there's like a whole bunch of wacky stuff in there.
Yeah.
Definitely an anime you don't watch while you're high.
You're going to be questioned if that really happened.
You're going to re-watch it again.
I believe Alex of Sarah's walked out
for the Fully Cully
theme song once.
I remember.
Shooting Star?
I don't remember.
I remember hearing it
because they were...
The opening or the ending?
Because now I'm confused
because I remember the ending really well
because I loved the ending.
That's a good question.
Because I remember when he fought
he was like he was walking out
to the cage but they were like talking.
But then in the...
So you could hear it.
I'm like, I think that's the Fully Cooley song.
And then when I saw him, I'm like,
did you walk out to Fully Cooley last fight?
He goes, yeah, I did.
Wait, not right?
It's right as shooting stars, the ending theme.
I don't remember the movie.
I don't remember.
I'm going to rack my brain forever now.
So no Naruto and out of it.
No Naruto or Dragon Ball Z on any of these lists.
I am an interesting one.
There's really nothing.
But they're great, but they're just not in my top ten right now.
Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z?
Probably top 20.
a god yet no so i liked the spirit bomb i loved the red army arc if it was also more sad i feel like
like remember that little indian kid and his stat his dad gets like stashed oh that no i didn't remember
but now i did you're welcome so hunter hunter you got to finish for sure his soak is such a good
character i heard his soak is such a good character i like good bad guys so i heard he's more of like
Yeah, he is a bad guy in the sense that, like,
Vegeta is a bad guy.
I like that.
I love ambiguousness.
Roxy told me one of the first times I ever interviewed her,
I asked her that Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z,
and then she goes, I like Dragon Ball Z because she likes Vegeta.
Because, and, like, she gave this answer, and I was just like, oh.
I think I know the answer you're about to say, and it's relatable.
It's kind of how I feel with being Deku, you know, half the time,
because growing up, like, you know, being diagnosed autistic and everyone's like,
oh, she's not going to go to college.
She's not going to have, she's only going to be good for grunt labor.
Well, I went to college anyways, and I've done a lot.
And now I'm, I went from having the shittiest motor skills tripping over my own two feet,
doing some of the most complex in the world.
Exactly. Like Deku, and then Roxy was my all might.
Like, I met her, and I'm like, because she was my idol for a while, you know,
because she fought and she fought well, you know, her heart out all the time.
And she was an anime fan.
like she was the person I met and I'm like yeah I can do MMA and she's like give me like yeah
you just get your grappling and learn how to combine it together which we went over all summer when
I first met her and it was great so yeah she that's what my Invicta debut I actually dressed up as
daku because I look the hoodie and the pants from like this clothing store called Just
Seine and she has the All Might version so she's like doing the All Might pose behind me and I'm like yeah
that's it so relatable stuff as Israel once told me
if you have a problem.
This is Israel
sign is exact words.
If you have a problem
of Roxanne Montefari,
fuck you.
On God.
Yes, facts.
Even before Izzy did,
like, there's so many people
would just always be mean to her.
I'm like,
can I curse them out,
Roxy,
and tell them to go fuck off?
Because I would do it anyways.
Balance.
Before she fought Macy Barber.
Oh, my God.
Don't even get me start
on that whole shenanigans.
Yeah.
But I interview her media day,
And I like it was all like everyone was asking like you know like fight questions and I was like so and I she didn't say this but I'm like I notice every time you weigh in you have like the next level of hair and you what like there's only and her last one for the fight against her last one was super.
No, the one before Macy she had the silver hair.
I'm like there's no more.
There's no more levels.
What are you going to do?
and she's like, watch.
And then she came out with the Majin logo.
I know.
Oh, man.
Like, nailed it.
Oh, man.
Do you know how much of a hassle it was to get those wigs to pass?
I'm sure.
Because they're like, oh, is this copyrighted?
I was like, no, it's just a generic wig.
She told me that when she didn't want to say Majin Vegeta in case of copyright.
Exactly.
And it's just crazy.
I mean, I missed the days where everybody used to dress up on stage.
Like Tom Lawler comes in mind.
He dressed up for everything.
Are you jealous?
I love that man.
I used to train with him and he was the coolest
dude ever.
Tom's the man.
And I'm happy to see him doing cool stuff in pro wrestling now.
Were you jealous?
I don't know if you saw it,
but Michael Venom Page when you found him rising
got to wear the Akatsky robe with the wrong star.
I saw and yes, I was jealous.
I'm like, that's so cool.
Like I honestly want to get a Mega Man Helmand in the Buster
and just woke out.
I was so upset that this was not going to be a solid cast.
Boy, I am happy.
I'm happy.
I'll paint it later.
I was thinking I was going to get a solid cast
to paint like a Mega Man Buster.
but this is good so I can use my hand.
So final question on this segment,
unrelated to these, I don't know why I just thought of this.
What is your favorite fight scene?
Like, favorite battle, I should say.
Because mine, fun fact,
I did a college dissertation on Rockley v. Garra.
No way.
Yes, I did.
Yes, I did.
And it is one of my proudest moments
because everyone was like,
what is this guy talking about?
For this essay, I will.
Because to me, I'm all here for it.
I think it's Trail of Tears, which is Naruto versus Saske in the lake or the ravine.
When Naruto, like, he goes full nine-tale fox and Saske does the brand like just takes over his body.
I think that is the coolest fight.
I think when Rockley goes drunken style is also great.
But I, emotion-wise, art-wise, story-wise, Rockley versus Garra is the best.
fighting in anime. I'm in agreement with that.
I think that's the best fights in anime history.
I'm in agree with that because it was, it was, it was somebody who wasn't powered going in
somebody who was.
It was, and, it was demonic sand magic versus kung fu.
Kung fu and pure will.
Yes.
So it's one of those things that shows like, okay, you could not be the, you might not be
the best, but it doesn't mean everything.
Right.
It's like, do you have the will?
Right.
Do you have the desire?
Also, when he took the ankle weights off, and I'm like,
shit went hard i know i know so what's your favorite favorite fight scene
in any anime it would definitely be saris victoria versus the captain from um
helsing ultimate because then when pip coming out yeah i was heartbroken when pip died i'm like
no don't kill him they were supposed to be in love what the hell and then how he came off and
he just like put that silver thing uh filling into the captain it's like and this is what you get for
touching another guys when he's like flicking him off i'm like
fuck yes because Saras was not doing well but then
Pip was like giving her tactical
guidance I'm like oh my god they're still together my heart
well this is a badass scene because the captain was a strong
werewolf but you could tell he didn't want to do it but he was going to follow
his orders to fight anyways even though he kind of wanted to be dead
so he broke into the one place with the
with the treasury you know of all the stuff the Nazis in that show stole
and you see this dude like
huge he's like glittering and so all the gold behind him like okay that's a badass opening
and then just the whole fight sequence was fun i love that was one of my wicked flash
it's that it's that and tied up with alicard versus um alexander or yeah father anderson
the final the final one when he used the uh the nail of um helena or something yeah yeah
man alac that was great alacar is such a good character he's such a good character i've debated
an al-a-car tattoo.
Do it, do it, do it.
I have, like, most of my tattoos are anime themes.
I don't have many, like, what's, how would I phrase this?
Like, big heroic.
Gotcha.
They're all, like, like, I have, like, Ghibli ones.
What I guess I do?
Do you watch Megalobox?
Yeah.
I actually started, I started that not too long ago.
I have a big Giroz Joe tattoo right here.
Yeah.
And then I have, like, a lot of, like, I have a lot of Akita tattoos.
I have a lot of Akita tattoos.
lot of akkina tattoos.
Oh, man.
If the art style wasn't so crazy, like, I would love to get some sort of tribute to
Saupong from Ken Gunasher.
He's, like, he's, it's funny because you would, people would think with me loving
Muay Thai, like the Muay Thai fighter, like the tenacity, the energy, the everything that
Sao pong is me, is literally me.
Like, I'm excited to fight.
I don't care what happens.
I am excited to go in there and hit people and have fun.
And if there's people I want to run back with that, just gives me a joy in life.
because now I have a new goal to look forward to
and best believe when this gets fixed
it's exactly what the fuck I'm doing
Who you want to fight?
I want to rematch with O'Gon.
I want to fight Tenet.
Like I said, I want to run it back
and I learn my stuff that
cost me and
it's going to be great because I love violence
and people love violence so everyone wins.
That's the first time we've talked about fighting
on anything about fighting.
This is why we have this.
Do you have any tattoos, do you?
Unfortunately, I do not.
So you got to hear me out.
I'm a big baby with needles.
I don't make it make sense.
I can get punched in the face.
No, I get it.
I get it.
But, no, it's because I had a carbon dioxide thing when I was seven.
I got sandbagged.
And, you know, you see the needle.
You don't know where your parents are.
And then, like, it falls out.
And then you have to have six full-grown adults hold your scrawny,
seven-year-old self-down.
This should have been telling you all I would have been strong as anything.
Yeah.
But I'm trying to.
Jesse Jess has told me if I get my tattoo,
she has to be present for it.
I want to be present for it.
I'm there.
Me and Jesse Joseph talked about doing the show together.
Josalie and Edwards also too.
So, you know, we can bring the whole crew.
Let's make it a whole show.
Let's make it a whole show.
Let's do a whole show on Just Tattoos.
I'm here for it.
Me and Jesse just have talked about doing that.
Yeah, and that's the killer.
I love tattoos.
I love the art, but I'm a big baby
and haven't got one yet.
You have a very good.
Neo-Tokio here is an incredible...
In Vegas is an incredible shop for
specifically animated tattoos.
Animated nerds.
You must tell me this more detail.
I got you.
I got you.
I'm so down.
They're like up there with like best in the country.
Anyway, that's a plug.
We'll end on that quote and then we'll be back with one final segment.
Stick around.
It's the Macha or the three ensemble
Cefarrae that I've been
deniches that I'm energize all time.
Hmm, it's ensemble.
The form of standard and mini,
regrouped.
And the embellage,
so beau,
that's practically pre to donate.
And I know that I'd
offer. But I guard the Summer Fridays
and Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez.
I'm just fine. The most
ensemble, the Cadowd of the Feds are
Shephora, Summer Fridays, Rare Beauty,
Way, Cephora collection, and other part of
the Vite. Fricure you, Seformed
and mini, regrouped for a better quality
price. On link on Cifara.com or

I welcome back, everyone. Final segment here.
Everyone's favorite segment, the random, I'll say bin.
Yeah.
Bucket, Tupperware of questions.
So we did this with John, we do this with Joe,
Saria's going to put five minutes on the clock.
None of these questions have anything to do with fighting.
I love it.
I am willing to bet almost none of them have anything to do with anime.
They are just questions.
I'm here for.
When I'm driving in a car, I'll, like, think of something.
I'll just like write it down.
Like, what's your favorite, like, cheese?
Like, stuff like that.
So when I say go, if I can even open this.
I believe in you.
You can do it.
This is gone from here to the professional place.
I don't have to open it.
Oh, she has a broken hand.
Yeah.
I can single-handedly do it.
Single-handedly jump defense.
This is what happens when you do a vacuum-seals thing and you go up in an airplane.
It goes, anyway, you're ready for these?
I'm ready.
Go.
What is the first CD you bought with your,
own money.
Christina Aguilera's debut album.
There you go.
Best fictional dog.
Argus from The Odyssey.
That is a great answer.
That is a great answer.
Limp biscuit or corn?
Limp biscuit.
Really?
Keep rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling.
I'm not a big Fred Dursk, but I respect it.
Oh, most captivating art piece you've ever seen.
Under the Willow.
Oh, yeah.
that's my personal favorite all the time.
That favorite romance movie.
Hmm.
Good question.
Huh.
Best romance movie.
God,
what is the one with the early 90s?
I mean,
I don't watch too many romance movies, believe it or not.
I'm soft,
but I'll just say the final,
Violet Evergarde a movie.
That counts.
That counts?
It is romance in there.
Favorite Marvel superhero?
Captain Marvel.
Tie between her and Scarlet Witch.
Which Captain Marvel?
Carol Danvers.
Okay.
Not Photon, not Miss Marvel.
People don't remember that the Secret Wars and the Marvel, we don't get into it,
but that was Photon, not Carol Danvers.
Yeah.
Charlie Brown Christmas or How the Grinch stole Christmas?
Charlie Brown Christmas.
Correct.
Correct.
My latest tattoo is Charlie Brown.
Favorite Halloween candy?
Candy corn
I know I'm going to get a lot of hate
No, not from me
That is a good answer
Is a hot dog a sandwich
I mean it is between two
Pieces of bread and it's meat
So yeah I would think so
Huh
Okay
Okay
Burl of sandwich
What was it two slices of bread
And uh
Spilling
Tupac or Biggie
Mm
That's hard because I'm originally from the East Coast
Okay
But I do love
Tupac's lyrical
Genius
God if I had a gun
to my head. I guess I'd have to go for Tupac.
Okay. Dream car.
Dream car. Hmm.
That's a good one.
I would guess a McLaren.
Okay. Favorite
and least favorite ice cream flavor.
Favorites Rocky Road. My least favorites, vanilla.
Because there's no flavor.
It's not that it's no flavor. It's just like I'm so used to school.
You're getting those little cups for going well.
It's just like.
It's just like ingrain.
It's why I can't eat pepper in pizza.
Could you get that at school all the time?
Like vanilla, if I add stuff to the vanilla ice cream, then it's better.
Like chocolate syrup and like customize it.
That's different.
Sprite or Mountain Dew?
Sprite, because I can mix it with a lot of stuff.
That's true.
Just saying.
That's the first word I've heard.
How old are you when you learned how to tie your shoes?
Because of my shit, motor skills, it was nine.
Okay.
Okay.
Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars.
I like Star Trek, but I like Star Trek.
I love.
Original Star Trek is great.
Oh, here's one you'll like.
What's one fictional character you would love to fight?
Oh, there's so many.
That's the fun part.
God, I'm thinking I just, I want to fight pretty much all the characters from
Ken Ganashra just because, especially that dude who, the King of Strangler's guy,
that guy, just because he's jiu-jitsu, and me and Rock have always had the Jiu-Jitsu versus
Muay fights all the time.
I miss training with her so much.
coffee or tea?
I like tea, but I have coffee all the time if I need to wake up before practice,
but I'd like to sit down with a nice cup of green.
Similar question when I asked you before, but doesn't have to be just anime.
What's one classic movie you've never seen?
Like one popular movie that you've never seen.
The godfather.
Sorry, everybody.
I feel like a lot of people born past 1980.
I'll probably say that.
What's one basic word you can never spell the first time correctly?
guarantee
I was going
I can't spell definitely
I wish that's my big one
fatigue is a big one for me
yeah
uh
fictional dog one again
double up
Indiana Jones or Han Solo
Indiana Jones
yep well I mean
that one's tough
When I was still wearing my hat
When I still had long hair
And I was wearing a hat
I would always have my cadet cap
and have like the Indiana Jones theme
in my head all the time
I also want to originally wanted
to major in history and try and do like
what Indiana Jones did
but then reality set in
And it was sad.
Snowboarding or skiing?
Snowboarding.
Mm-hmm.
Tried skiing.
I almost killed myself.
Favorite soup.
Hmm.
Foe.
That's a soup.
That is a soup.
First celebrity crush.
Nick Carter back in, that was like six or seven or eight.
So you were backstreet.
It was just a little crush.
And final one?
What's your favorite kung fu movie?
Oh, man.
There's a few.
And that was the last question because I just stopped the time.
Favorite Kung Fu movie?
Um, God, Romeo must die.
Wow. Of all the movies, you could have said that was, because I've, I'm like going through my head, I'm like, she might like drunk and master. She might like enter the dragon.
Wow. That called me up, in that, in that movie, you had the spirit of the old school kung fu, like legend of the drunken master, like enter the dragon, come out in modern, like meet the modern. Like, meet the modern.
era too. It's like that and also cradles of the grave because there was also like
for Saltino Ortiz in a movie. These are movies that are not
specks wow. I think drug and master too is the second one where Jackie Chan is
actually like funny. That one's great. Obviously like enter the dragon. Yep.
If man is great. Man, now I have to watch these movies again. Oh yeah.
I'm a huge Jet Lee fan.
I love Jackie Chan, but I love Jet Lee when he was still on the stream.
What's the one where he plays?
It's like futile time.
Seven Kingdoms?
No, I'm...
No, but that's a great movie.
Yeah.
It's like he has like the hair, it's long.
It's like, it's an older, it came out like 07, but it takes place like way back.
It stars Jet Lee.
I'm never, oh my God, I'm like spacing on that.
Fearless?
Not fearless.
Is it fearless?
I don't know.
Oh, probably.
Okay, I have to look this up for science.
Hold on.
I think it's fearless.
Okay, I'm going to find this out for science because this must be happening.
All right, let me get rid of it.
Because legend was another good one with Jewell.
Is that that one?
No, Hero was the one.
I was thinking of.
All right.
With Jelly in 2003.
That one is a beautiful movie.
God.
Fearless?
Fearless was when he was bald.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's the one.
He's the monk.
Yep, that's the monk.
Yep.
And he does it along here in the back.
Yep, you called it.
Look at that.
Fearless because I think there's a movie he was that Bruce Lee was in that that is like
not an official sequel.
It might have been Bruce Lee.
I can't remember.
I can't remember.
But it's a very old kung fu movie.
And then like 30 years later they made that.
But like all that character is in the old movie.
So it's like an unaffield sequel to.
Okay.
I digress.
We've talked a lot about kung fu movies.
Anyway, thank you so much for being on this episode.
Thank you for having me.
You know, we've talked about it a bunch of things.
it's finally happening.
The first web on anything about fighting.
Before we go, tell the people what they should watch
and tell the people how they can get in touch with you.
Okay, so you've seen my top ten list of anime's watch.
Give us one movie, one show.
Okay, for anime, if we're watching, if we're watching,
you have to start psychopaths, especially being the philosophical kind of mindset.
You will love it.
And for a movie, because I just finally reminded, Jin Roe, the Wolf Brigade.
That's a good one. You should go watch it.
So, have that it. And if you guys
want to find me, and tell me what you think
of my anime recommendations, either you
like them or you hate them, because I won't care
if you hate them anyways. You can go
message me or get in contact with me
at Serena South Pole on Twitter and
on Instagram. And thank you fun people
for tuning in. Thank you so much. Thanks again
to Gorilla the Bear and Nick for this
fantastic artwork and fantastic
music. We'll be back.
I don't know when this episode will
be back. So by then, maybe
there'll be another one that have come up before them. But I digress. Thanks so much, Serena. You will be
back. Yeah. You will be back. I will finish attack on tight and make it so. This is been Jose. That's
Serena. This is M.A.Fighting.com. See you next episode. Okay. Only 10 more presents to wrap.
You're almost at the finish line. But first, there, the last one. Enjoy a Coca-Cola for a pause that
refreshes.
