What is going on, y'all? We are back another edition of No Betts Barred this time. UFC Singapore. Promotion makes its return after doing a pay-per-view last June, I believe. 275. This time, Max Holloway taking on the Korean zombie in the main event. Should be a good one, Jed. How are we feeling, brother? You know, coming off the 292, an interesting card. Our new champion, you did an expert job of talking all about the event with the esteemed New York. A great at your MMA hour.

We're calling that your MMA hour debut since you were, you know, hosting it or what, how do you treat that? I think we'll say hosting debut. First time on camera in the studio, despite me having been in that studio a million times. I guess technically I'm in the studio when I'm doing the watch parties too. But yeah, it was fun, man. Recap the 292 card in depth. Pretty crazy. Pretty crazy that Sean O'Malley's the champ.

And even crazier, you cashed on him. Big underdog. It was hugely helpful. It got me over the line for a very slight winning weekend. So thank you. Thank you, Sean O'Malley, and the vibes for that one, because I was basically dead wrong on every other fight prediction I had outside of the parley. The parley is cash? The parley is cash? Actually, like, I'm kind of the same way. I, like, I fumbled on the singles last week, but. Chris Wydenman? Not very good. It was a bad call on your boy's part. Yeah, I mean, mine too. Mine too.

Zhang inside the distance? I don't feel that bad about that one. I don't think that was a bad. call, I think that was closer to a bad beat than it was a bad call. Maybe. And I will say, I don't, I didn't think he won the fight, but as we talked about last week at the end of the Villar Munoz fight, I was holding a Munoz by Splitty at plus 900, and I was happy to be holding that ticket. I didn't think he was going to cash particularly, but I was like, man, this is a good ticket to have at my hand right now. Oh, for sure. Yeah, I mean, that was, that was a good fight. Good, good card over. Overall, man, a lot of craziness coming out of it.

A lot of fights to be made after that one. And yeah, we move on. UFC Singapore. Close out, August. When do we have an off week? I mean, like, we have been gone since June 3rd, every single week on here. So it's a good run. We are coming up on an off week.

Not quite yet. We have the month of September is still there. We have one after noce. So October, no, the last week of September, a first week of October, one of those two is it. But yeah, it's a, we do the full summer run and into the full September run, I think, and then we get our break. The freight train keeps right on rolling. And that's what we shall do. We'll head over to UFC, Singapore.

We'll start with the main event, featherweight, bowed max Holloway, taking on Chan, Sung, Jung, better known as the Korean zombie. right now you're going to have to pay a pretty penny if you want to get in on the max holloway train minus 850 Korean zombie coming back plus 520 um feel like this is this is tough for for Korean zombie especially after the last time we saw him out don't really know how he's going to accomplish a win here like no one knocks out Max Holloway rarely do you excuse me rarely do you outstrike Max Holloway. I don't really see the Korean zombie doing that. And only in a

couple fights have we ever seen the Korean zombie go to wrestling. I guess the Dan I gay won. He used wrestling there. I feel like Max Holloway is going to outstrike him to a victory. I very much agree. We'll say

I immediately upon hearing this side, it's like, zombies washed, he's going to get absolutely clubbed. What a nonsense fight. I think broadly speaking that that's true. I don't think zombie realistically can win. I do think he's got to, I think this fight can be fun, at least, aside from the fact that

Max Holland, Korean Zombie, two of the most exciting fighters who've ever laced up the gloves. I think we might be overrating a little bit how washed Korean Zombie is. Alexander Volkinovsky is very, very good at fist fighting. And I think that that's just sort of how that fight goes, because Korean Zombie didn't have the tools to compete with one of the very best fighters who has ever lived. I think Max Holloway, I do think he's taking at least a little bit of a step back, maybe not a huge one, but he's been fighting for like 15 years at this point. And I think that that will mean this fight is at least a little more competitive than

people are broadly sort of viewing it. I still absolutely think Max's going to win for all the reasons you said. I'm going to have Max. So here's the thing. I have no bets down at the moment in part because, well, not a ton of lines out there in some of the betting services that I'm using, particularly draft Kings, doesn't have almost anything up right now, which is a little frustrating in some respects. So I have no action down at the moment. I'm going to be building as we go to this card. I'm like, here's the stuff that I'm interested or want to do.

One of those things is Max Holloway has a parley piece. I think that he's a good leg on that even at this price. I do think he's going to win cleanly. I'm also really interested in the max points bet. Whatever, I'm not sure what the points line's going to come out. I would assume that it's going to be more than five and a half, just because of how big this straight number is. But there's a world where zombie can make it to the final scorecard.

And given what happened with Wiley last weekend, I'm a little hesitant about inside the distance bet for Max here. So I'm kind of looking at a max point bet. depending on the price in the line there. A max by unanimous decision is plus 180. Max minus five and a half points is minus 450. Really? Yeah.

That is, I thought it, I thought we'd be closer to minus three. That is a hefty number. I mean, I'm not going to double parlay max. So I guess we'll just be doing Max Holloway as a parley piece. That's such a big number. Wow, I'm surprised by that. I wonder what they'd give me on, they don't have it on any of the books,

but Max Holloway, round four, five, or decision. Because I actually agree with you. I think we're overrating a little bit the washness of Korean zombie. I know he's on his way out. But Max Holloway didn't fare that much better against Alexander Volcanozky in their last fight. He got walloped.

And then if you just look at Max Holloway, like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight straight decision victories. Or eight straight fights that have gone to a decision. All of them five rounders. I was going to say, are all of these five rounders? I think they all are. They are literally all five rounders.

So, like, him going to a decision with zombie and outstriking him 225 to 160 would not surprise me at all. Yeah, wouldn't shock me. And I'll also say this for zombie. This is, I believe, supposed to be his retirement fight, his final fight. He's going to come in with everything he's got because this is the last time he has to do it. And I think that that can get him there. I sort of like where your heads at. I am seeing Holloway in round five or by decision at plus 120.

So that is something that's a little more intriguing. I wonder what they give me. Because it's not like Max is an early finisher usually either. Yeah. Yeah, right. I mean, he's had 14 straight fights go over one and a half. That's a little tease there that I will also be paring. Don't be worrying that over one and a half is just such a classic Connor Burke's men.

That's absolutely. getting parlayed up into a little prop parlay I also did parlay up Max Holloway got them at minus 700 so a little bit different from where the market's at now not by a ton and the over one and a half is minus 425 that's still sitting at that

okay that's a that's great parley piece yeah I'm I'm looking forward to that one I think I think I got a couple other ones that that should be able to hit as well Um, so yeah, I feel like we're kind of in alignment on, on this main event. What's a max over one and a half?

A little same game parlay action. Ooh, okay. Let's see what a max. SGB? Let's see what a max same game parlay gets us. I imagine it's not going to be too huge. I'm sure it's not a great, like, yeah, but. But, I mean, we can always see.

Max Holloway and the over one and a half minus 250. I might just do that instead of doing a double parley action. I like that and that's not an awful price. Max Holloway and the over two and a half minus 150. That's also pretty good. That's a tempting price right there. That is starting to speak my language. He has not had a fight go under two and a half since Charles Oliverer, 2015.

14 straight. Mine is 150. I think, you know what? I think we're going to say I'm going to take that SGP. I think I'm hopping in on that, too. Look at us. We're talking our way into bets. That's how you know this is a good gambling show.

I'm going nice and exposed on Max Holloway and it going decently long, because I've already parlayed up the over one and a half, and I've already parlayed up Max Holloway. So let's add it. Let's add it right now. Why not? Increase exposure. plus over two and a half minus 150 in we go i'll just do because i'm already pretty exposed i'll just do a nice to win one unit and there it is boom i love i love what we're accomplishing right now got a couple same game parlays this week like that we just talked our way into that bad boy uh that's for later

though that's actually in the boxing room we'll get into that let's go to the co-main event light heavy way about anthony smith the lion heart taking on ryan superman spank right now Ryan Span can be had for the price of my computer froze. I want to say it's like minus 130. Minus 130, Anthony Smith plus 110. Yeah, like in my head I'm like, man, I should bet Ryan Span. I feel like he's at the better point in his career. But then I'm also like, he did get finished in the first round last time out.

He did fight Anthony Smith less than two years ago. I mean, essentially two years ago at this point. Got finished in the first round then. And I feel like I just stay away. Like, I don't really want to put my money in Anthony Smith and trust him where he's at right now. His last couple of appearances in the Octagon hasn't given me a ton of faith. So I ultimately decided to stay away from the money line. I think that is just an incredibly responsible way to approach this fight.

I am pretty much with you on it. I'm really interested in Anthony Smith, not quite at this price, though. The number hasn't been moving better for him. When I saw him at the start of this week, he was straight up even money. He's up to plus 110. That number gets to like 150. I will have to jump on it. Outside of the fact that he's already beaten Ryan Span, you know this.

We talked about this the last time out for Ryan Span. I was very in on the Ryan Span train coming off to Dominic Reyes. when he was like, I started actually training the fight. And I was like, that's it. This guy is the new thing. And then Nikita Krillov just sort of hustled him on the mat.

Well, if you remember, I think we might have both been on sub round one there at like a wild number, like plus 1100. And God, he had a guillotine locked up for like six seconds. Like my heart was pounding out of my chest.

And then of course, that's his move too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that fight has me concerned. on the other side. So I understand your concerns about Anthony Smith and I share them.

That's why I can't feel confident here. And I think that's why the price is where it's at. But I do think Anthony Smith still has a pretty clear advantage on the ground. And I think Anthony Smith also is going to come into this fight, rightly understanding that this is it. Like this is his career. If he loses this one, might as well retire. There's nothing left to do in the sport. He had a great career.

So I feel like he is going to win this. this fight, I think he should win this fight. The question is whether he is washed or not. Not certain. If the number, at this number, I'm not ready, even though I think this is at least a 50-50 fight, so you get into touch a value on him, that number gets a little higher plus 130.

I'm probably going to take a play on him. It feels kind of a personal fight too. Anthony Smith has talked a lot of shit about Ryan Span since their last meeting. I believe his words were, Ryan Span is my bitch forever and he knows it. Well, that's going to change hard if Anthony Smith don't back them words up. I was also going to say, man, I feel like Ryan Span, whether you beat him in the first round or not,

isn't a guy that you really want to say that too. But we'll find out on Saturday. I did parlay up. It's in the over one and a half. Parlayed up the under two and a half. I was about to say, I can't believe you don't have action on this fight. You have to be betting an under fight. fight doesn't go to the distance prop or whatever.

What does that line out? Because I don't see it anywhere. Minus 360. Minus three for under two and a half? Under two and a half, minus 360. Yeah, I think that's a terrific bet. As infuriating as the Johnny Walker, Anthony Smith fight was, I got to go back to the well because Ryan Span is Johnny Walker taken to the nth degree.

I mean, Johnny Walker finishes fights. Ryan Span finishes fights and gets finished in fights, 10 of his 12 U.S. So it's under the two and a half, six straight fights ending in the very first round. So, yeah, I think that one's going to be chaotic. I, as a pick, I'm not going to bet it as a pick. I'm going to say Ryan Span gets it done. I think that's the case is obvious. So I won't be shocked if that goes down.

I think I'm also just a little heart from Ryan Span being so high on him against Krilov. And then that happened to burn. Getting burnt, you know, makes you check yourself. No, such a moment. There was, Ryan Span almost, his nickname is Superman. He almost became a hero for me. Had he gotten that choke. I had like, dude, I had like 0.4 units on it.

And it was like a plus a thousand price tag. Like, it was going to be a nice, nice one. But we talked about at the time. You bet a sub prop so it can't win. Yeah. It can't win. John. John.

John. That's why Zhang didn't get the finish because I bet the subprone. Honestly, I didn't even think about that. You're absolutely right. That was alive a couple times, a couple times. And there's nothing like having a big sub prop, and they get in the position to get a submission, and the heart just starts pounding.

Heart just starts pounding. We need to test this out. Like, the next time Jelton-Almeda fights, you need to bet Al-Meda by sub, just so we can see if it really is a curse that can't be broken. Might be better than this Maybe I'll do that instead Like I'm tentatively looking at parlaying him with Max And one other person But yeah I just I've never been sold And Alex Casas I know that he's on a hell of a run right now

Yeah I'm the same way Like yeah full credit to him I mean he's lost to Sadiq Usif in the last like five years Or something insane But Gigi Katsi is just a much superior strong and I don't think Casares really has the tools to get Giga down and he's just going to get kicked

a bunch and that's probably going to be bad for him. So I feel, I know the long layoff. I understand the reasons. I feel like we're getting a bit of a buy low price at Giga. Certainly towards my expectations of this fight. So I think I'm going to use him as a parlay piece. But maybe I'll just take the points back because I don't hate that at all. Yeah.

We will see what happens. Good to have Giga back. Hopefully you can put it on it. a good performance and get back in the wind column. We keep it rolling. Bantamway bow, Rina Nakamura, taking on Fernie Garcia. Rina, huge favorite, minus 800. Fernie coming back plus 550.

If you don't know, Rini Nakamura came from Road to UFC, him along with Tatsuro Taira, two fantastic Japanese prospects in the UFC, Nakamura world-class wrestler but also has nasty knockout power Got a knockout in less than 45 seconds in his UFC debut And I just I feel like he's going to win this fight

I think if he wants to take it to the mat He can take it to the mat If he wants to stand and trade with Fernie Garcia He can stand and trade with him I think he's got multiple paths to victory And I think he's going to get this one done And he's likely going to get the finish And I know Garcia is tough

But it feels like it's a bad matchup for him and the odds indicate that. Yeah, man, I'm on chalk all day this week. I'm always a sucker for somebody who is this level of wrestler. And then shown that ability in the cage too, right? I mean, coming off road to the UFC where he looked unbelievable with that finish. But, I mean, the rest of his sort of shoe tow career and stuff, talking about a dude who was, you know, like a U-20 world champion or something insane.

Yeah. 23. Yeah. Think about all the love we give to NCAA national champions and how highly we praise those. Realistically, that means that they are a national champion. Being an NCAA champion is just you're the best wrestler in the United States under 23 or whatever. This dude is the best in the world. Like that's just nuts.

I'm very high on him. I don't even hate. It's probably a sucker bet to bet minus 800 on a. dude with seven pro-MMA fights, but that's what we are. We're a sucker. I'm a sucker and a half here. We're suckers. I parlayed Rine you up with Halloween.

I have one more piece to that to get it close to even money. Yeah, you said it. World U23 champion in 2017 and then follows it up, goes to the World Cup in Iowa and wins a bronze medal. So, I mean, dude is talented. And then when you see him laying the leather on people like he does, it's pretty damn impressive, I have to say. Boom. Dude, we are cruising.

Look at us go. We are cruising, yes. Parlayed up, Rina. I also parlayed up the under two and a half. I think he's going to get this one done. I think he's going to get Fernie out of there. That's the last leg of the parlay of the prop parlay. That has Span Smith under two and a half in Holloway over one and a half.

and the under two and a half and minus 250 I was I was expecting a touch better than that but we move on people's main event women's flyway bout Aaron Blanchfield Tyler Santa

People's main event for sure. This is a big matchup here, man. The minimum, the people's co-main event. I don't have no idea why this is buried in the main card. Title Eliminator? Undeniably, a title Eliminator. Undeniably, it. Closely lined right now, you can have Aaron Blanchfield,

minus 142, Tyler Santos coming back, plus 120. I'm torn here on who's going to win. Honestly, Blanchfield's looks like, oh, I love this then. You have a confident side. So confident. Wow. I mean, Blanchfield's looked like a freight train. That is undeniable of late. Molly McCann and Jessica Androge, though, now we see that both of them are not on the best runs. Santos, haven't seen her since the Schifchenko fight.

Looked good. Lost a very close split decision. I mean, technically, if you want to talk about, she technically won a three-round fight against Schenko. I don't see why she couldn't do it to Blanchfield here, but I just don't know. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this. I love to hear your confidence. I believe that Aaron Blanchfield is the best female fighter currently on the planet today. The best fighter out of anyone. Yeah, I mean, not based on accomplishments, you know, certainly.

Count for pound one. My pound for pound number one. John. Over John. Yeah, over John. Not based on accomplishments, not saying that, certainly. But as far as relative to their peers, I think that she is. I just think she's the best fighter in the world.

And I would not put her above Amanda Nunes, but Amanda retired. So here we are. And I would not have put her above Valentina, but then Valentina lost. And so that's sort of where we are. I think that this woman is a champion in waiting, and Tyler Santos had a terrific performance and is a very, very good fighter. And I think that that is simply not going to matter because they are playing different sports. I love this price.

I was not expecting this price on Blanchfield because Blanchefield is such a darling of, you know, the MMA media and that space. And again, maybe I'm a sucker. Wouldn't be shocked. But I don't think you would be a little bit shocked. You'd have to be a little bit shocked. I would be surprised.

If you think she's the greatest, I don't be shocked if I'm an idiot. I'll be surprised if she loses, but I won't be shocked if she loses. I'm like, oh, I guess I'm just dumb. Okay, obviously. I'm an idiot. I see what you're saying.

No, I see what you're saying. But, yeah, I think I'm just all in, and I am of the opinion that we are basically never going to get this price tag on Aaron Blanchfield again, and I sure would like to have it now. So, contemplated, honestly, coming into this week and just being like, hey, I've got one bet. It's all in on Blanchfield. but the last time we did that great things didn't happen.

So we might double up on Blanchfield, you know, give a little double stack on this, but I love her chances this weekend. Alexa Grasso, currently the pound for pound number one. According to who, not according to MMAFund.com. This is the UFC rankings. This is the UFC rankings. That makes sense because I assume she moved to two after beating Valentina, and then when Amanda retired, I guess that makes.

makes sense. It's a little bit disrespectful to Wiley, but sure. To me, it feels like it's Wiley right now, dude. The way that she's smack down. That's who I have. That's who M.A.Fighting.com has is the number one pound for pound rank female fighter in the world. All right. Jedd loves Blanchfield. Blanchefield, is this a couldn't believe the line we're getting? I'm pretty surprised by the line. What was it last week? Was it Wydenman? I was pretty surprised by Wyden, too. As I said, I won't be shocked if I'm an idiot.

Listen, dude. What if I've been dumb? We are not saying that we are smart. That is something that people need to understand. If it's your first time listening, we are suckers. We are the squares that everyone talks about, and we're proud of it. We're okay with it. It's fun.

I am who I am. I have to say, it's one of the best bits going right now. the, I can't believe this line and then the line loses. It's a great bit. Like I said, I'm really surprised at this line less because of my confidence and more because it feels like everyone I talk to is in love with Aaron Blanchfield. And I guess the gambling public is not of the same thought because I don't know. Like, Tyler Santos hadn't fought in a hot minute either.

Like, it's been a lot. We were just talking about that with Giga. Santos hadn't fought in over a year. like at santo blanchefield is on such a rise i just thought we'd be getting a higher number so uh bet tylus santos because we know what's going to happen now yeah i mean what you're saying is i mean it's a fact i mean she is uh she is on a hell of a run right now um so and you should all bet thylos Santos because i we know the outcome now the same way of connor's going to bet on a sub prop just get on the other end of it.

I am now surprised by a betting line. You should be on the other side of it. All right. Let's keep it rolling on the main card. Heavyweight bout junior taffa taking on Parker Porter. Right now you can have junior toffa. Forte price of minus 142. And Parker Porter coming back at plus 120.

Kind of dirty to do Parker Porter like this and give him the other taffa brother. But here we are. It's rude. Right, you know? A little bit of rude. A little bit rude. Yeah, I think Junior Taffa is going to clip him. Parker Porter does not lose by decision.

And, I mean, if it goes to a decision, he's winning. That's for damn sure. But typically he gets finished, been knocked out four times in his career. I think it's going to happen again here. Don't think Porter's going to be able to take down Taffa. And then if it stays standing, like the kickboxing pedigree of Taffa and the knockout power, I think he's going to find Porter's choice. Yeah, the only analysis I needed of this fight in general was, well, he already lost to one Tafa.

Why not make it too? I'm with you on it. Parker Porter is a person that a lot of MMA people are greatly amused by. I am one of them. My hope here is he can at least make this a long fight because got two heavyweight overs. Parker Porter has historically been pretty good in the heavyweight over game. Junior Taffa a little bit less so that he's coming off that Moe Usman one earlier this year

which chalked up a W for us so we're going to hope that he keeps that going but I'm like you I think Junior Taffa's going to get the dub I'm going to be taking the heavyweight over and we'll go from there. All right, sweet. I am on Junior Taffa by knockout plus 105. I think that's how he gets it done.

Let's move to the prelims and let's move quickly. skilled. He's really not that undersized here. Only way he's losing it is if he gets caught, which I think he is more than defensively sound enough to not do that. And then 12 straight and 15 of his last 16 have gone over the 6 and

a half. I just need him to get to the four and a half. Dubois, he does not go long. That is the worry here. He does not go long at all. But in the one time that he lost when he was outclass, when he's outskilled, went to the 10th round. So he's tough.

He's durable. And Ossick just, he doesn't have that like blast your chin off power. He's much more TKOU. So I think this makes it in past the four and a half. Usik gets the win. I'm bringing Ousick down from like minus 1,200 to minus two fifth, uh, 225. So I like that. I'm going to put Uccic in my chalk parlay with Nakamura.

and Holloway and probably Chikaze. I thought, dude, I thought about... I thought about Nakamura, Holloway, and Usoc and playing the biggest chalk gunky, like minus 275, three-leggar, but I decided against it. I honestly don't even hate that. I think that that's just a very good bet.
