Starting point is 00:01:25 Are we live? I feel like we're live. I feel like we're live, pal. Oh, we're live, pal. Hey, guys. If you couldn't tell by the guest voice chiming in there. The opening graphic, you know, post-UFC 33 guys, here we are on to the next one. It says, you know, with Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee, which it usually is.
Starting point is 00:01:42 It usually is. But the delightful Mike Heck, my best friend is currently traveling. He was giving you guys sweet, sweet R. R.EF 14 coverage in Las Vegas all week. So he is not available today. but here to a fantasy book after a spectacular UFC 333 event we have the great Jedmishu
Starting point is 00:02:02 Hey Jed Don't I look just like Mike I'm basically the same person That's I wouldn't say that Me either buddy How are you AK How are the fights for you? Dude I'm so good
Starting point is 00:02:16 That was such a good time And It's terrific We don't like We don't want to beat the whole drum of like See guys this is why when we complain about like, you know, Apex events or Fight Night's events,
Starting point is 00:02:26 this is what we're talking about. But this is what we're talking about. I mean, when we say, I think people, there's a little confusion, like when we're critical to some of these other cards, oh, you don't want to see fast finishes and you just,
Starting point is 00:02:37 oh, you like watching fights go the distance where it's not clear who won, but, like, yeah, that's kind of like a great card. Like on this card, we got everything. You know, we got great finishes, but we got great finishes in fights where we felt like both fighters had a real chance and there was competition.
Starting point is 00:02:53 and there was a potential for swings. I mean, there was some. You could certainly peg as squash matches, but at least they were squash matches. Like, I feel like designed to properly elevate the, you know, the favorite fighter,
Starting point is 00:03:04 whoever was in that scenario. Like, for example, like Yakayaev and Khrlov. Yeah, I think everyone predicted, Yakaya was going to put him away. But at least Krilov,
Starting point is 00:03:12 I think came in with a number next to his name in the non-metto rankings and the media rankings. It was right at the edge. Yeah, like number 15 in the media. Yeah. And, yeah, and yeah, and yeah,
Starting point is 00:03:20 it beats them and there go. And, you know, we get to elevate it. and all that, but also we got guys two, I think, great results in the main event, regardless of who you're rooting for, Alexander Volcanowski, asserting himself as 1A and 1B, you know, alongside Jose Aaldo, if not just standing alone is now the greatest further weight of all time. And of course, Piotr-Yon settling his trilogy with the Marab de Wallis Philly
Starting point is 00:03:41 in another great five-round fight. And I think, I think pretty, very little controversy, I would say, scoring maybe, maybe some people saw round three for Marab. I've just strongly against that. I just don't see how you can give Mara. One person, according to the main decision, the third round. Also, the great Jessica Penne. I don't know if you read our, pros react, JET.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Pros React, Jessica Penny thought that Maraud Walsh really wants. But either way, it was a great fight. No shame for either guy losing. And boy, that was a great. Was that not a great time? It was awesome. I think Jack Slack tweeted and I retweeted it just like the perfect short encapsulation, which was like, yeah, you can take your 12 knockout nights.
Starting point is 00:04:22 I just want to see good fighters. And that's the thing for me, and I've tried to be less judgmental than I think a lot of people have. Because if all you're into is knockouts, okay, like that's taste is a matter of taste. You know, you can enjoy the things you like. But I want the knockouts to mean something. And this was a car where everything meant something, right? Like there were a couple of high, high gap, you know, squash matches or whatever. but one of them we ended up getting an upset
Starting point is 00:04:53 and also probably just shouldn't have been that big and the other one like sure it was but it's yakyaev getting an opportunity to move into the ranking sometimes these things happen and the rest of this fight car was just great like it was right up there with the most fun you can hear in my voice certainly I have been pretty sick the last few days
Starting point is 00:05:15 and despite that and it was quite honestly tough to do like a full broadcast yesterday for the watch party, but I still just had a great time because the fights were good and meaningful. This is what I come to MMA for. I had a wonderful time on Saturday. The best fighting the best. And in the main event, we got a historic performance. And in the co-main event, we settled one of the best rivalries in recent memory in the sport and did it in an awesome, like, significant intriguing way. These are the cards I lived for. I loved everything about Abu Dhabi.
Starting point is 00:05:49 It's not like gave you life. It gave you the power to get through it. Were you like Volcanowski? Have you been refusing medication, Jed? Because you feel like it would give you an unfair advantage. Are you? I have not. I've been taking all the medication I can lay my grubby little paws on.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Yes. And it got me through and it's getting me through. But yeah, like when he said that, I was like, one, for any fighter that says it, I'm just like, I'm not, you don't know how much stock to put into it, right? Every fighter enters injured. Every fighter has something. you know you sort of just take it as it lies but you hear him the way he sounded talking in the post fight you're just like yeah you probably were sick but that's and credit to you because i had a hard time
Starting point is 00:06:30 broadcasting for five hours and i wasn't fighting mopsar have so uh yeah just great great performance from him great performance from piotr yon thank you piotrion for saving us uh great performances all up and down the card and just a great card like i i i want these These are the things I want and you don't have to agree with me. That's fine. We all can like the things we'd like. I would rather us have six, seven, eight fewer events a year. If the events we got were more along this line, then we've got one every weekend.
Starting point is 00:07:08 But there's a lot of contender series versus guy who's got six professional fights. I'm just less interested in that and I savored every minute of U.S. 333 because it was worth bring. Yeah, and look, there's something for everyone. Like you said, I know you said, you tried not to be too judgmental when it comes to, like, questioning the quality of these cars and, you know, how people appreciate them. But yeah, listen, guys, we're just, like I said, we're critical. If, if, if I, I've, I've been actually very positive, especially about, I think when they go on the road shows, which are like, filled with squash matches. I still kind of like, though, because I'm like, oh, you know, they're going to places and having, trying to get, like, the local fighters or the
Starting point is 00:07:43 fighters from that area, that region wherever to win. It's a little bit less palatable when where like kind of crammed to the apex. Even with the extra seating, and the atmosphere is a little better, it's still kind of tough to watch one of those cards, just lining up, lining up bodies to be piled up. But again, if you like those,
Starting point is 00:07:59 there's nothing wrong with that. We just, we just kind of like to tell people, we're usually like, if you have a limited amount of time in your life, you know, which cards should you tune into? And definitely 333 on paper, look like, can't miss. It was a can't miss.
Starting point is 00:08:12 If by some chance you guys didn't see it, obviously follow the grave coverage at M.AFling.com. And if you get a chance, check out a replay, check out a replay, check out highlights because this was just a really enjoyable experience top to bottom. There are not, I didn't think about this until just now, and maybe I'll try and look at it. There are not many cards where this year, where if somebody was like, hey, I missed it, I had a wedding or whatever, what should I catch up on? Usually I'm like, watch the main event or check out X highlight or whatever. This year, there have not been many cards where I just like, you usually. you could fire up the whole thing and it wouldn't be bad,
Starting point is 00:08:49 but like just started, start at the main event or start at the main card and just run the whole main card straight through. Because every fight on the main card was valuable and good. I liked every fight on the main card. Coming into this, I was very high on. And then what they delivered,
Starting point is 00:09:06 I thought was excellent and meaningful. And then, I mean, you can even take that a little further down. Like, you can go to the early prelims. And, like, if you start, started watching. If you were just like, hey, I'm just going to tune in. Like, tell me, tell me a point to start and I'm going to watch. You could, I could be like Abus, Abus versus Kam Raulston.
Starting point is 00:09:25 If you started that and move up, like the Grand Dawson fight, I actually appreciate it. But I think a lot of people wouldn't or whatever. But anything past the Abis fight is relevant, meaningful action with great fights, good performances, and worthwhile stuff. So it was great card. I loved it. I hope we get more of them. Well, let's get to our picture. Jed. I don't want to strain your voice in your body.
Starting point is 00:09:46 much longer than we have to. Let me just answer a question real quick from Joseph Boza. Can A.K. rant on the announcements for 336. I don't need to rant. I mean, it's awesome. That's it. There's not a lot to say. Where is this?
Starting point is 00:09:56 Amazing announcement. Oh, I got to. I'm sorry. I'm trying to pull it up. Oh, you don't have to. It's fine. But there it is. There it is.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yeah, positive rant. I mean, great. We just got two amazing matchups for Toronto. I assume they might try to get them a lot on there. Some other Canadian fighters who had won recently. And even if they don't, that's fine. Toronto is like, I don't think that's always been the, impetus for those cards and the last time they did that two years ago it didn't go well all the male
Starting point is 00:10:21 canadian fighters lost and uh the two but the two women once so that was the two women who fought that night once so no complaints there but um yeah uh van cop oh my gosh guys i'm gonna actually get to watch that fight by last i said to mike yesterday in the watch part i was like man congrats day k k i know it's the last time you had to deal with sean strickland this time look at what you got going man dude i wish they had done the shemaiah rematch or you move off come back because that's the rematch people won is a k lee versus strong shirkling um and then which people want the co-main event uh carlos prachis and michael morales five rounds interim title again i care more about the five rounds interim title cool great gets the guys more money love it doesn't make it a better fight doesn't make it worse
Starting point is 00:11:00 um i think both guys obviously worthy of a title fight but i also would really like to see this fight happen so i'm being greedy i hate that is going to push someone back on the contender line don't care i'm selfish i could see an amazing fight that's great two amazing fights for toronto I think you nailed it. It's just like, nobody can have a single bad thing to say about Von Kopp. Like, that's just obviously awesome. It's the fight we knew we were getting, totally a fight that deserves to happen.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Again, number one contender fighting the champion, right? Like, I guess per the numbers, it won't be because I assume cops behind Pantosia, but we just got that. And this is like, yep, this is as good as you can ask for. And you've got like the number one versus number two, or three contender. And the interim is silly. It's very stupid.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Who cares? I just, I don't have the bandwidth to be upset about the interim. It's a meaningless interim belt, but whatever, the fight rocks. These two, like, the, this back to back, this one two punch, it's probably not quite as good as what we got at 333, right? That was one versus two and two weight classes. And both fights had genuine historical significance to them.
Starting point is 00:12:14 so that we're not quite at that, but we're very close to that quality. And it seems extremely likely that Toronto has much more of a banger quality to it from those one-tooth than these two did. It's great. Look, the UFC's throwing heat right now. It's when this is what we want all the time. There's been a lot of months where I've been critical because it hasn't been, but hard to complain about a lot of their recent bookings. And I'm excited for it.
Starting point is 00:12:43 I'm excited for you to get to go. Yeah, and don't forget our second title fight we got two years ago was the Raquel Pennington, Mayao Buenos Silva, vacant band to wait women's title fight, which I was excited for. Did not know. What got Rocky doing it? Yeah, look at Rocky. It did not feel like the city of Toronto had a lot of buzz for that bout, if I'm being completely honest. We know he's got a lot of buzz, Jed.
Starting point is 00:13:04 As always, the great, great, great Alexander Volcanowski just runs through my pick. I mean, I thought Volcano. I thought Evoia was going to win. I went crazy in the predictions. Guys, don't go back and read those. I said if Loyaev's going to catch him in round two, I said he's going to knock out Volkanowski. Obviously, I meant round two knockout for Volkinovsky, you guys. I make these mistakes all the time.
Starting point is 00:13:24 It happens, but you guys know where my heart was at. Incredible performance. We don't get into a whole goat debate right now, Jen. I'm just curious. I'm really more curious on your thoughts of what's next for him because I know you have feelings about a couple of fights outside, well, not as outside against opponents, not at 145,000. I know you have some feelings on this. I my feelings are just like pretty I try to be consistent I feel like this is very obvious
Starting point is 00:13:52 if he wants to fight Justin Gagy and he pitched before like I have a very mild amount of frustration with what it happened in the aftermath because it's like he makes it hard for me to love him he makes it hard because before UFC 333 he was like look we don't look I don't want to hold up the divisions we we can both vacate our belts and just go fight you each other. And I was like, that's it. That's it. He said that four days ago. He said that four days ago. I was like, nails. Perfect. That's great. They're a valid, deserving title of challengers. Sick. Awesome. No complaints. And he comes in the post fight and is like, well, actually, I could go challenge for the lightweight belt and then we'll both just retire. So it's not holding up.
Starting point is 00:14:33 It's like, no, no, no, no. That's not what you said. It's not what you said. It's not, that's holding up the division because then Armisturukin is not fighting for the belt because you're fighting for the belt. You're holding up the division for less time, but you're still like, Arm and Sarukin has to fight for the belt. My thoughts are very clear on this. If he wants to go up, correct power to him. He doesn't get the challenge for the lightweight belt because there are three dudes in front of him. Armand Sarukin absolutely deserves this. Patty Pimble, just deserves it more than he does. Quite frankly, it's just true. And Ilya, as I mentioned, would probably quit the sport if they gave him a rematch with Gachi did also knock out Volk like this he's not
Starting point is 00:15:18 in line for this and so we are just we got to let the guys who deserve to fight for a fight for the goddamn belt man armin has to be fighting for the belt and so if he wants to go up and do what he said four days ago i'm in i got no problems that if he wants to go and fight if charles oliver beats deigo lopez and retains the bmfell he wants to fight charles for the bmph belt i got no problem with that. I have a serious problem with him challenging for the lightweight title over more deserving contenders because we just have to stop this shit. And so, you know, my pick is, I did an if then, uh, or if or for my pick for Volk. If Oliver beats Lopez, go fight for the BMF belt. That's, that's fun. It's interesting. I would love to see that fight and you're
Starting point is 00:16:06 fighting for another belt so you don't just feel like you're kind of meddling around. But if not, I'm not giving him Gaichi. I hate that fucking thing. I'm not doing it unless Gachey's going to vacate the belt and then I don't care. That's fine. Great fight. And so if that's the case, then you fight John Silva and that's also interesting and a great historical add to your legacy at Featherway. But the purpose of titles is to find out who the best guy in the world is in a weight class. And having Volk and Gaichie have a double retirement fight is definitionally being like, nope. That's just at, you are just trying to add, add things for spectacle and not for substance. And I'm not in on that. I agree with a lot. I, I, we, we've, we've, we've
Starting point is 00:16:52 fantasy match made Volcanowski versus Gaci, I think a few times over the years and on to the next one. Sometimes when Volk was champion, I think definitely not when, I mean, when Gagee had to be a MF belt. I can't remember, Mike and I have talked about this before. But you're right. It's, it's also it, it doesn't need a belt. Like I understand Volcanowski's desire to say, I'm a two division champion, did it at 145, 155, you know, two of the toughest, to the two toughest divisions arguably in all of MMA. But I think we're past that point. You're right.
Starting point is 00:17:19 I think there's no argument for him based on merit to be, to jump in the 155 line. I want to see Armand fight for the belt, whether it's against Kechi or whether it's against someone else. Armand's next fight should be for the undisputed UFC title. So I'm with you on that. Again, I would love to see Volcanowski and Kchi fight. Amazing fight on paper. It doesn't need any belts.
Starting point is 00:17:37 It doesn't, it's an incredible fight on its own. Give it a bill. Take the BMF belt off Charles or D&A or give it. Like I don't get, you can give it a belt. That fight can happen. But like, there's just no world in which Armand shouldn't be. I would, I still wouldn't love it, but I'd at least be okay if it was like actually Gauche's going to retire, Volt can go fight Armine.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Okay. I'll take that then. Sure. Like, that's, well, Armour just has to fight for this goddamn thing. We have to quit doing this because we don't like him as much as we like other people or whatever. Like, it's just I am, I am at the. end of my rope with, we're just doing things for people we like. Like, I don't give, I want to know who the best guy in the world is.
Starting point is 00:18:19 And if Volkinovsky beats Justin Gachie to win the lightweight belt, that is an accomplishment assuredly. It does not make him the best lightweight on earth. And like, I just want the best guy in the world to hold the belt. And right now, Justin Gajee is holding that because he won the belt. But Armand Serookian is probably the guy who's been the best lightweight on earth since the day is on left and he needs to fight for the goddamn title. Did you want to say anything about it?
Starting point is 00:18:45 It won't be, it was no reason it would be next. Did you want to say anything about a future like Volcanovsky, Peter Jan, Superfight? I know you think that's a cool idea. Not next, obviously. I just think that's one of those things where like, I don't think it should or will happen. It would be fun if it did at some point. But like because Volcanowski just doesn't, like he said to himself like, I'm fight over
Starting point is 00:19:06 at this point. Like I could retire at any point. And Jan has work to do. right like for as much as people are ready to anoint yon and i understand the impulse even if i think it's incorrect this is his first successful title defense he has defended about successfully one time like there's a very obvious sean o'malley matchup sean has a win over him shan's put together a couple he beat another top contender you have to book that this is honestly this is probably the most deserving sean o'malley's ever been to fight for a belt spoiler guy spoiler for our i'll just
Starting point is 00:19:36 topic out where I think we're on the same page with this next. There's absolutely no doubt about what's going on there. So you can't do that. You can't be like, Peoria gets to go. Like, no, he needs, he beat Sean O'Malley and maybe adds one more.
Starting point is 00:19:48 We could start a conversation. But just in general, like the idea of those two dudes fighting is fun. You know, you see they've trained together some before. You know, it's not like Volkss enormous, but it would be a bigger man there.
Starting point is 00:20:01 But like, yeah, these are two of probably the greatest minds active in the sport currently, something right that would be fun but i don't there's work to be done and yon certainly doesn't deserve it over john sylva or uh aljo vizios like the winner of aljo vizios should just be fighting for the belt and if that's means they're fighting john silva because volk has vacated okay but like that guy the winner of that fight there's no question deserves a title fight so there's too much
Starting point is 00:20:28 business to be done that is meaningful matters but like in a world that we got to have all things. It'd be fun to watch those two guys fight. You know, I haven't given my Volcanozky pick yet, Jed. And I don't want... There's a lot of things you could do here. I don't... You're not going to like this. A lot of people are not going to like this. I'm really trying to like massage this so people don't go like, don't shut up the show and say, what a stupid A-hole this guy is.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I kind of... And I would say this is a follow-up for avid listeners, Yvonne on the next one. this is a follow-up pick so I had set the stage for this four months ago four months ago I had said this was a possibility I said I wanted I wanted Ilya to get the winner of this fight now I don't I mean that's fine
Starting point is 00:21:21 I don't hate that I think everyone else is going to hate it absolutely as they should it's it doesn't make a lot of sense and it doesn't sound like Ilya wants to go back because I'll not said anything about dropping down to 145 I'm not like going off into cryptic Instagram message I was thinking they just fall away No, no, no, no. I want Ilya to go back to where he arguably never should have left. Like, we were kind of annoyed when he left. Not arguably. I stand on business. I said this the whole goddamn time and I think I've been right the whole time.
Starting point is 00:21:47 I know, I know. Well, in fairness, he won a title, right? We can't, you know, you can't hate on that. He won a title. He didn't beat the, you know, it was a vacant title, but he won a title. But he's no regret. If you're I'm not saying, oh, Ilya never should have done it. Maybe you are. I'm not saying that. He went up and he won a title. Got the fight at the White House lost, but, you know, it paid off for him in a major way. But I never rode off him going back down to 145. Because as you said, I felt like there was. tenders for him to fight. Now, obviously, Volcanopsi is angling for the Gathechu fight, but I am curious if they came to him with the Taboria rematch at 145, I wonder what he would say because one, obviously, I think he'd want a chance to avenge that loss. He'd say yes for sure. But if he had to choose between that and Gigi, I don't know. Oh, I bet he takes Gatji if you had to choose. That's the thing. That's the thing. I think a lot of people would agree.
Starting point is 00:22:35 But I am curious if he would want to avenge this loss. And again, if he hasn't already, depending who you talk to, beating Toporia would cement him as the greatest further way to all the time. I think that because I think for a great point you brought up, Jack, I don't know if you mentioned it on the post-fight show, or you mentioned it on social media that like, or just on, I think on Slack you mentioned it. I think it was our Slack. Yeah, it's like you have to look at it like as much for praising Volcanopsi's second title reign, which I think was very much validated by the way. It started with a like vacant title fight over a guy who I don't think a lot of us saw as like the legitimate top.
Starting point is 00:23:10 contender, right? He beat Diego Lopez and he beat Diego Lopez again. So it was kind of a weird, like if you want to add that to his title achievements, you can, it's just sort of a strange thing to do. If lawyer, there's no doubt, I think we all think of lawyer has been the number one or number two contender for years and just got wrecked. So even if you say, oh, this is the true, like, making title fight, pretty, pretty impressive. So if there's still a case, like for Aldo, I think fighting Toporia and beating Toporia would eliminate. I think that's it. I think that makes Volcanoxie airtight, like no debate. I don't know. But. But. That's why I want to see it. And I also just want to see to operate back at 1.45. I mean, I would say, I would agree with you in general. He's probably airtight and undeniable if he just defends about one more time anyway.
Starting point is 00:23:52 And many people probably in the chat right now are like he's already airtight and undeniable. I disagree, but I'm not going to argue the point. That's kind of where I've settled on. I think of them as A and B right now. And I did like, we don't have to dive into the weeds here.
Starting point is 00:24:05 But yesterday after thing, I was like, let me go back and relook. This is we look at the conversation. And if you look at, if you remove their names, I did like a bunch of breakdowns on like just achievement. They're extremely close. Aldo and Volcanovsky like D. Their opponent win record at the time of fighting them is like within a percentage point. It's like a one point, one percentage point in favor, one integer, to quote Luke Thomas in favor of Volcanovsky.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Aldo has two more championship wins. although as like more consecutive championship wins obviously because Volt got bifurcated with the Tuporia thing but like their numbers at this stage are in the words of Michael were virtually identical they're extremely close and so to me it really comes down to do you doc Volcanovsky any points because he is the featherweight champion by virtue of Teporia leaving, right? Like half of his accomplishments at this point have now occurred because Deporia bailed. If you do, then I think Aldo should have a very slight edge. And if you don't, then I think Volk has an edge. Like that's it. So to me, that's just kind of how they break down.
Starting point is 00:25:20 But if he adds another one over anybody, it's probably just moot, right? And again, most people I assume in the chat are like, it's moot anyway, you dumb asshole. Like, okay, whatever. No, the people are being very nice in the chat. YouTube, I can't see. The kick people might be mean. I'm not sure. But it's sort of a whatever. If he were to beat DePorea, that would just be such a remarkable win. Because at that point,
Starting point is 00:25:45 beating DePorea means the only guy he's ever lost to functionally in the prime of his career is As a Machchev, who's the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, as bigger than him. And that's just like, yeah, that's astonishing to do that. If he gets that back, that's a really rep that's really like a george st pierre which is kind of the guy he feels like the spiritual successor to gsp anyway
Starting point is 00:26:09 uh the way they fight stuff like that and then it's just like yeah well it's a remarkable about gs p is gsps beat every guy ever fought you know and that's it's very very commendable and so that would be impressive from volk uh i don't think depore has any interest in coming back to featherweight if they did that'd be sick but i do there's a part of me that's like i'd be interested in watching the fight it lightweight again because like it's worth seeing them fight again um even if i would pick deporia like volkonovsky has proven himself to be one of the very greatest fighters of all time you can't count a guy like that out against anybody and so maybe then so i don't hate that matchup i just think it is exceedingly unlikely to occur jed um what do we do with mowbrose star um i think it's easy
Starting point is 00:26:57 do you okay so before i'll let you give your pick but i no give you a pick first yeah yeah then I'll share why my picks kind of, again, out of left field. Zerbiko. Mike and I talked about it on the live show.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Pico, obviously, also a guy we will be talking about on the show, so I'm kind of bearing my future points about that. But yeah, Pico went, he picked up a huge win over Keta. Mofstar's got to fight back. I think you can, there's kind of no wrong answer for Mavsar in that anybody, any rising contender, give him a crack at him. But Pico seems like a guy that they'd be interested in getting to elevate quickly. get him into the title mix rapidly.
Starting point is 00:28:39 And obviously, if you beat Mobsar, your next title fight, your next fight at that point is going to be a title fight. Pico was a very good wrestler, striker. Like, I think that that just fight kind of makes a lot of sense for many ways. And then win or lose, we know where we're at with Aaron Pico, right? If he loses to Mavsar, we're done. Pico's probably not fighting for a belt. He's just a good guy.
Starting point is 00:28:59 And if he wins, he's fighting for the belt. So we can expedite the Aaron Pico process with this fight. Oh, I was much harsher an overlay of, by the way. probably because I was so behind him. You know how it is, guys, when you were let down. You're not angry. You're just disappointed. It's kind of high thought of Vloiev.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Full credit to Volkowski, by the way. I'm not saying like, oh, Avloiev, it wasn't his best. Blah, blah. I'm like, I don't know, man. This might have been the best version of Vloev, and he still got smoked. So this is full credit to Volk. And I think I'm more concerned with how Vloyav sort of handled the loss. And I always want people to be good sports.
Starting point is 00:29:30 I always want people to have perspective, especially when it comes to athletes. like but he was so i guess this is more not about me but how i feel like the matchmakers and a lot of fans are going to view it he was very like laid back and kind of chill about the first loss of his career uh and it was pretty one side i think he has to win like 10 fights again honestly to get a title shot like i don't even think they're interested in keeping him in the contender circle for now because you're right if they were pico makes sense there's other guys whoever else in the top 12 13 that he hasn't fought, you tell him in there with those guys. I worry that he's on a little bit of thin ice because of all the decisions, even though
Starting point is 00:30:10 some of them were not boring, that's just a misconception that all the spice are boring. And because he just seemed so, it's a cliche, he seemed literally happy to be there. Oh, wow, what a great moment it was to share the cage with Alexander Volcanovsky. Shucks just wasn't my day. I'll see y'all later. And that's great. That's great life perspective. And I hope that's great life perspective.
Starting point is 00:30:31 And I hope, yeah, like, he does. just gets to process this loss for the next little while. And it's just like, cool, okay, I'm still, you know, I'm still good. I still a successful athlete and life is good. Cool. I hope that's how it is. But again, that does not feed the bulldog. That's not what the UFC wants.
Starting point is 00:30:46 The UFC does not want well adjusted human beings. The UFC wants cycle paths. They want guys who are spitting venom, crying about being robbed after losing a fight like this. So, if you're too good of a person for this game, I feel like. So I went way outside the box here. I think they're not even going to give him a ranked guy. I think he's getting Sean Woodson on a UFC Apex prelimm.
Starting point is 00:31:08 I think his stock was really, really hurt by this. And I hope I'm wrong. I hope he keeps getting big fights. I hope he gets another shot of the title. I hope he has that title around his waist someday. But this was a bad look. I don't think there's a chance to give him an unranked guy because he'll probably just beat the unranked guy.
Starting point is 00:31:26 He's going to beat almost everybody. Like you got to, I think, of him of is probably okay he's probably gonna because he seems like he's not hard to work with honestly um and that's like the primary thing are you a headache for hunter campbell and john shelby and it doesn't seem like he's one of those and there's value in former title challenger getting beat by rising contender so i think he's going to get his next couple of fights are going to be hey here's erin pico here's jean sylva here is kevin gizos if one of these guys beat you we've we've pre-built a contender and then then you the problem solves itself and if he just sticks around and beats enough of
Starting point is 00:32:07 them and bulk leaves he gets another crack at it so i think he's probably okay someone is calling me a moron for saying that and saying moves are huge in the ufc and i just have to say um he's so big jad that he had to win 10 fights you get to go 10 and oh to get to tell us that's how massive most of our boy have missed yeah uh i do i did really like how he handled it though there is a piece of me that's like a little strange because it honestly felt like you gave up in the fight right like i you know it's hard to know how hard you're hurt but like there weren't that many seconds left you'd like to think you could have found a way to make it to the end of the round and try and regroup and then at the end his comments were very like well adjusted like hey yeah our guy's great and i lost and that happens
Starting point is 00:32:52 thanks for giving me an opportunity there's a little bit of not quite that psychopathic competitor that you hope for a championship level fighter but also maybe Maybe he just was like, yep, I got beat by the, like, what, Volk is what, like, at worst, the second best fighter of this generation? I think of the worst. That's not like that he is a greater fighter than Islamachchev. That would be probably isn't, but like, that's arguable, right? Like, it's those two and then a Poetan, I guess, is a distant third as far as, like, generational growth.
Starting point is 00:33:29 some Pantosia is kind of in the mix too, but like, you know, when you're going up against a generational talent, it's okay to lose. Like, that just happens, you know. And I want to make here. I like Molsar, and I wish everyone actually had the attitude of Molsar. But guess what? Like my tastes and the attitude of fighters I like is generally doesn't jive with a lot of the MMA population.
Starting point is 00:33:50 And again, the guys who call the shots, they want controversy. They want like big personalities. And again, I know I keep saying this. I hope I'm wrong. I hope that they see what they have with Moussar, which is, I think, a very good fighter, who still has room to improve. I know he's not a young guy,
Starting point is 00:34:04 but he's not old. There is room to improve there. There's little room to improve. And at that level, sometimes all you need is, like, can you get that extra 3, 4% out of him, whatever that is? Because that's how close these fighters are,
Starting point is 00:34:15 I think when you get to this level. It didn't look like it on Saturday. I think that's just how great Volcanowski is. But I still think, I still think, I've been a championship ballfighter. A lot of guys, listen, we mentioned GSP. Go watch his first title fight.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Did not go well for him. If this were Twitter today and that fight, we had social media back then, and man, people would have said, oh, this guy's never going to win the title. It's never overrated. It did not go well. And maybe this is Ebloyo's GSP moment.
Starting point is 00:34:40 I don't know. I hope so. I think he's a very good fighter. But yeah, I'm just speaking from like other people's perspectives. I worry that he's too nice. It's too nice of a guy. It's concerning.
Starting point is 00:34:50 And I think he's just never going to hold the belt. Marketing. Yeah, just marketing wise. Okay, guys, sorry. We'll go to the Coal Main real quick, but we don't have to spend a lot of time here, Jed. We know. We already said it.
Starting point is 00:34:57 It has to be Peotter Yon and Sean O'Malley, too. There's a great storyline there. Sean O'Malley has done all the right things to earn another shot. Their first fight, a three-rounder was awesome. I think we all want to see rematch, like after that fight was over. Very controversial, which is always good for selling a fight. A lot of people still think it was a robbery. I don't agree, but you could certainly have made a case for a Yon win.
Starting point is 00:35:16 I had to run that one back. Any other thoughts on that, Jett? Before we go to Rob. It wasn't a robbery, but I thought Yon won. That was three rounds. So now we get five, which is great. You just run this back. This is easy.
Starting point is 00:35:32 And I'm fascinated because there is just a huge gap in the style of fight between fighting Marab Valshvili and fighting Sean O'Malley. And I think Piotrion is pretty clearly established. He has the answers to Marab at this point. If they fought five more times, they'd all be competitive. I think Jan would just kind of win most of them. Maybe not all of them, but most of them. Marab, Morab doesn't have a doubt. depth to his game. He has an
Starting point is 00:35:58 intensity to his game that is very again like the numbers that came out after this are ludicrous and I said it on the watch party. I've said it on other programs I'll say it again. I actively strongly dislike Morabh Valsh really's fighting style the only reason
Starting point is 00:36:14 I respect it is that it has proven to be effective but I don't really have a lot of respect for it as fighting because it's not he's not he's making no attempt to hurt an opponent at all he's making an attempt to tire the opponent now. And that's not what I'm here for, but it is undeniably effective per the rules. And that it is easy to see a world that actually just is not bound by limits, where he is so
Starting point is 00:36:41 good at what he is doing. He shot 140 some odd takedowns between three fights with Piotrion. That is, like, he can spam so much offense. And again, it's not offense that matters, right? This is not offense that will disfigure or harm you. is scoring offense. He can spam so much that it is not hard to imagine, yeah, like, just people simply cannot stand up to the title wave that he brings. But as soon as he met a man who can in Peyodor Yan,
Starting point is 00:37:13 then you sort of see how that's a problem, like how his inability to actually hurt Jan. There's really the defining thing of these last two fights. Like, he can do a lot of stuff, but Peodor can hurt him. And Piotr is good enough, sound enough defensively to stop enough of his offense. That it's like, okay, what can you do when your plan A doesn't work? And his plan A is so effective that it always works.
Starting point is 00:37:38 But he does not have a plan B that works. And Piotr has a plan B, C, D. Now against Sean O'Malley, those have to be different. It's not the same style of fight. And when they first fought, I did not think Sean O'Malley would really have much to offer Piotr, and I was very wrong. even though i think yon won it would be ludicrous to call that a robbery or to say shan didn't do very well and sean has gotten better since then so has peodor so it's perfect matchup can't wait to see it um we were talking about rob's fighting style i remember i sent you that jack slack tweet you got jack
Starting point is 00:38:12 he said guys this does not reflect my opinions i just thought this was funny this is a hundred percent correct though jack slack said they need to quarantine morab and umar from the rest of the division and just have them fight over and over for the perverts who want to see guys pretend to hurt each other for 25 busy minutes. That's it, man. And like, Marab, Marab and honestly, Umar, early on I thought Umar might be a little more because there were a couple times. But there's, it is offense for offense sake. It is not offense that builds towards a finish. And that's like, I've said that for years about Marab and you can respect the efficacy of it.
Starting point is 00:38:49 And but like through 10 minutes, I was like, if Marab does that for five more minutes, he's going. going to win and it's going to suck because he has not once tried to do anything he has just and it like i used to hate frankie egger honestly for the exact same reasons frankly like sort of was the proto version of like i'm going to move a lot and i'm like well what have you tried to actually hurt the guy could you maybe try and do that you're in a fight but uh thankfully pio deion saved us from that and i'll never forget him for it uh purean planning shot on mali next what about Marab, is this also obvious? I feel like this is also obvious, no?
Starting point is 00:39:26 Yeah, it's Umar. Oh, you're running, you're doing the Umar rematch? I'm doing the Umar rematch. Oh, well, what are you doing with Song Yadong? I thought Song Yadong versus Mara win, lose, or draw. Song you don't can fight Mario Batista in a clear cut number one contender fight because Batista's also on a two-fight win streak. Just be Corey Sandhagan, kind of the odd man out of this title conversation.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And if you're doing Maraub and Umar, Jack had it right. Let them be in a quarantine zone. and song and you put song versus batista as the uh and under i would prefer a five round undercard fight for that main event uh five round co-main and then if something happens you can elevate one of them up but otherwise that's a number one contender fight clear cut okay i see it lani cavanaugh damn this kid is good and boy he has been thrown to the woodchipper uh in the ufc so far i mean that's in the bright prospect coming out of cage warriors once about time Still just 27 years old.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Four and two in the UFC, but what a four it is, because it includes Brandon Moreno, of course, earlier this year. What a win on short notice. And then on Saturday, a knockout of flyweight knockout artists, Ramazon Temerov. I think we kind of knew this was a speed versus power matchup, but that's how Kavanaugh himself said it. And Kavanaugh won, speed one. So a lot of ways we can go here. Well, no, I don't think there's a lot of ways. Actually, Jedi only had one reasonable answer.
Starting point is 00:40:52 think Kavanaugh gets Kouji, Harukuchi, Amabaya, winner. The fighting in Qatar in November. Interesting. Yeah, where's you know? That's not where I went with. I thought about that. Kind of a no wrong way to eat this, Rieces, right?
Starting point is 00:41:06 Great pick for, or great win for Lonnie Kavanaugh. I ultimately picked Timorov to win because I thought he would just kind of, Kavanaugh would sort of lose the plot for a minute and Tim Rav would hit him and that would be it. Kavanaugh continues to be very mercurial. When he is on, God, boy, he likes. looks like a world beater. And then sometimes he will just have off nights, off moments,
Starting point is 00:41:27 and just kind of lose the plot. Needs to show a little more consistency, but super talented. That uppercut, the lead hand uppercut counter was sick. That set the whole finish in motion. And I don't know if I love the pick, but I kind of was just like,
Starting point is 00:41:45 I don't know. That was a big win. Screw it. Give him Alejandro Prantosia. Pantosia got to fight somebody. giving pants. So, uh, I think again, you could, you could give him Tetsu or Tyra. I think Mike Hec suggested Tyra. Don't hate that either. Um, I think the Kioji winner right there is perfectly fine too. I was like, yeah, just giving pants. See what happens. Kevin has going to
Starting point is 00:42:09 have fought like eight top 10 guys by the time he's 30. Like he's just going to, we're going to look at his record back, what the hell? This is crazy. Like, how is he supposed to, how was he supposed to put together like a win streak against the competition that they're throwing in there with but i guess he doesn't have to do a long i guess if he gets two you know just wins two against two ranked guys you're getting a title point right well like i was partly because also i was like well what do you do with brenna roeval in this situation because like does anyone want to see roival pants again probably not and so then it's like well we're all can't fight pants i was like probably like you could do roval tyra but also maybe royval's just the guy who fights the asu uh koji winner and so then i was like well what's
Starting point is 00:42:49 pants doing you could do pants tyra is there's kind of no wrong way to mix those people up and the odd man out will end up having to fight a little further back in the rankings and if that's loni it's honestly also fair right like he's accomplished probably less than the other people but i don't know pantos just seem fun so do it uh that's her responder con Shane dog in the comments that sad these fights are in toronto man we have tariffs on canada ffs sorry guys that means that's right you're only You only get 50% or whatever it is of the fight. And when you're watching on TV in the United States, I'm going to get it live.
Starting point is 00:43:24 I'm getting 100% of the fight. Unfortunately, it is tariff, so you will not be getting the full fight in the United States. Plus, we might be getting better fights in Toronto, too. Like, we only have two fights on that card. Previously rumored on that card was Morales, Shavcott. Obviously, Morales, now fighting someone else. But do they keep Shavcott on the card?
Starting point is 00:43:42 Mike Malott? Mike Malott? You listened to the watch party, did you? Because that's or the post show, because that's, I pitched that to the wonderful Mike Kek. I was like, what if you just do? You're going Toronto. Shavka v. Mike Mott.
Starting point is 00:43:54 He was like, oh, I love that. I was like, yeah. And let's be honest, it's a horrible thing to say. Shafat's like one more knee injury way from retirement. That's right in the Mike Malot wheelhouse. That's right in the Mike Malat wheelhouse. No, but that's right. Why do you go there?
Starting point is 00:44:06 That's the Mike Malot, right? He loses to Mike Malot. And then the next within 48 hours is an Instagram post with all of my injuries and losing to freaking Mike Malot. It's so unnecessary. I feel like it's a. You're right. Mike Mott is the career in there. I feel like it's over for me. Because look at Buckley.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Buckley is something like people. People sent me that so much after Buckley was like, hey, I'm going to retire after my next fight. I'd many people be like, hey. So you know how you find it the funniest thing in the world that Gilbert retired because he lost the mic? Well, add another one to the pile. Like, yeah, man. This is great.
Starting point is 00:44:42 What a gimmick. Don't do it, shopcott. Don't take the fight shopcott. Don't do it. Or don't lose if you do. Jeez. Okay, let's move on. More positive things.
Starting point is 00:44:52 The baddest man on the planet, Jed, asserted himself one Mr. Alexander Volkov, the man who we can tell people now because I don't know when we're actually going to do the next update, probably after 334. I feel like we should do it before almost for the jokes, but you will have Alexander Volkov who won a workman-like decision over Rezvvvon Kunev. You will have him as your number one heavyweight. Sure will. Sure will.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Been thinking about it for a minute anyway. You did a lovely appearance on morning combat where you articulated why this is a realistic. Tommy's been out for a year and there's no time on in his return. And hopefully he does come back. Knock on wood, I do not want his career to end that way. That would be tragic. But we just don't have any idea on when he's coming back.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Francis Ngano is a fight sometimes sort of-ish. But, you know, like, what was the last really significant win? I thought the, I stand by the Henan Faheda being an okay win. Not like a good win, but like it's fine. That was also like three years ago at this point, four years ago. He's not an active MMA fighter in the way you would like. The best current heavyweight on Earth who is fighting regularly is Alexander Wolkoff. It just is.
Starting point is 00:46:13 One person on the planet thinks that Cyril Gahn beat him in their rematch. and that's good good for you Danny Seguera I love and respect you I think you're incorrect and everybody else is like nope Volkov beat him and so Volkov should be on an eight fight wind streak right now which is significantly more than anyone else in this way class basically and his wins are over basically all of it's ever ranked opposition to like it's all just like he's he's the best competing heavyweight currently and uh it's a crying shanning he didn't get to fight for the belt i understand why hoakot got it but uh to lead into our picks he fights the winner of hockit khan that's it he fights the winner of hoakakon i do not accept any other
Starting point is 00:46:58 answer whatsoever yep and there's just no reason not to do it like i understand volkha's not like a household name i know that wasn't a like oh statement like performance over kunev who again very tough like a huge very tough match for him guys like i know people are going to look at kunev and be like oh well he's still relatively new to the u s he blanked him on two of the courts Yeah, he's, he was, I mean, like he will, he, I mean, you could argue he beat Curtis Blaze. He could be, he could have been three and O heading into this fight. And the two guys he beat were ranked. I know it sounds weird to say now, Tarvel Fortune and Jelton Alameda, but they were ranked.
Starting point is 00:47:30 They were ranked when Coonnier beat them. So this was like a very, this was like essentially a no win matchup for Wolkhov. And he did what he had to do, you know, it's hard guy to finish. It's not like, oh, he should have put him away easily. Like, no, Coonier is really tough. So I think the only logical thing, especially timing-wise is just sometime in quarter one, or early quarter two of 2027 you have your undisputed title fight again tom aspinall when he comes back he comes back i just feel like it's not going to be anytime soon i think volkov needs to at least
Starting point is 00:47:57 after 334 i hope they at least like say that that is in the works you know again if aspinall can come back sooner unfortunately it's bad for volkov but until then yep it's just it nobody has to love it i'm not telling you you have to love it and it has been quickly become a bit of a joke that but like He just, if you want to believe that this is a sport and that there's meritocracy at all involved, it's like, yeah, Volkov is the most deserving guy right now. He just is. And none of it has been dazzling, but it's all been effective. Morab did not dazzle at all.
Starting point is 00:48:33 And Marab was very close to being universally considered the goat of his weight class. So Volkov deserves it. I hope he gets it. I was surprised this week at how over he seems to be with the fan base. Yeah. Maybe it's just that he was in Abu Dhabi and there's some more of a connection there. But like people did seem to really respond to him this week. I think the Dana White Presser thing only served to help boost him.
Starting point is 00:48:58 So I have faith and hope that he will get the opportunity to fight Cyril Garner, Josh Hokit. Hokit tweeted and said he's next once he wins. So, you know, maybe he does. Let's go. Yeah. I don't know if Bullcob has ever had buzz around him. but if he has, it is now. This is the most buzz I've ever seen around his name.
Starting point is 00:49:20 It is time. Jed, you already said for Aaron Pico, you would like to see him fight Evloia. Again, I think that makes a lot of sense. They were booked once in a time. Maybe time to close that loop. I would think it would be cool for him to get the Sterling Bachelos winner from Qatar,
Starting point is 00:49:34 though I understand if Bachelos wins, I think fans would want to see him, I guess, move up. But I'm just kind of greedy. I really want to see them fight. And I also like, I'm ready to see if Pico is for real, because I keep doubting him. I think I picked him to beat Pitbull. That was just a little bit past it.
Starting point is 00:49:53 So I did pick him to win that fight. But I picked Cada, this one. I still don't know if I believe in him as a contender. And I want to see him get a shot sooner rather than later. But maybe, I mean, I have lawyer of his higher ranked than Fischahehaus. So I guess, I guess we'll see. But we'll see where Fichos ranks if he beats Sterling. Anyway, I'm just kind of manufactured Pico Fichahos.
Starting point is 00:50:10 Because I'm selfish. Wild card. Jed, I think you know where I'm going. I'm a little curious to see where you going. you are going for anyone doesn't know. This is our pick of anyone in the card. We have not already discussed winner or loser. Jed, where did you land?
Starting point is 00:50:25 I was, you know, I know who you're going to choose. Of course. But I don't know who you've chosen. I've chosen the same man. Oh. Abdulahmanyak, yeah, I have. The big yak. The big yak.
Starting point is 00:50:38 I think you could do a lot of things here, though. So I'm interested to see what you've chosen to do. I have an either or option. I think we should count it. I think we should count it down. Who's your number one option? If you could, who's your like your magic wand option? Jed has the book. Jet can book. Let's go. Let's go. Let's count it down.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Exactly. I have a one that I think will happen and the one that I choose. No, no. Give me the one that I choose. Jed's in control. Give me the Jedds and control pick. We're going to count it down, Jed. We're going to one, two, three, and then name. Okay. Okay. One, two, three. Dominic Reyes. See, Reyes is the one I think they're going to do. Okay. I think they're going to do.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Reyes and I think that that makes total sense. But what I, in my head, I was like, you know that this past week, heartbreaking news came out for your boy. Jekis Duplessi's coach said that they were approached about doing a four-man light heavyweight Grand Prix of sorts with him, Yeri, Navajo, Starling, and Magerman Ankelaev. They match them up.
Starting point is 00:51:37 They put them on a card together. And then the winners face off. And then the winner of that challenges Carlos Holberg. DDP said no. or if yakaiev just takes ddp spot what's wrong with that so i was like all right then how are we doing i was like well i think we're doing navajo versus yari so magman ankelaev versus yakov versus yakev in this four-man grand prix let's have it going that's what i choose to do i think what they are going to do is domina graz though i thought for a second paolo costa but i still feel like is there
Starting point is 00:52:08 not i guess the costa ancholaev ship is sailed it sounds like that's just not going to happen like it sounded like both guys were interested we've heard nothing about that it's a lot of Costa complaining just like get me a fight UFC. I don't know what's going on. I want to fight out my contract. So I guess Costa's in limbo. I guess we can't really factor him, factor him into any Otno matchmaking right now.
Starting point is 00:52:23 But yeah, gosh, I just love me. Love me some Yakayev. The future, let Heaveway go, guys. He will never lose. He will break John Jones's 28 fights. If you want to include the DQ, whatever, 28, 29 fights undefeated. He's all 30 and 0 all first round finishes.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Okay, guys. This is my prediction. My very humble prediction for Yakayaev. Love watching this guy fight. I do think Dominic Reyes would be a real test though. I do think Dominic Reyes, like, that's why I want it. After Saturday, I grew updated my rankings. I have Reyes one spot ahead.
Starting point is 00:52:53 One spot ahead of Yakaa. If you guys want to put that, if you guys have Yacahe ahead of him for whatever reason, I could see that. But Reyes is actually, like, as we saw, he's really dangerous still. He really, really, really has that knockout power. That's good as he looked in a while, too. He looks really good. And Yakaa Jaya gets hit.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Like, that's the thing, as much as I love yak. He's not a perfect prospect. He kind of just goes in there. I was like, I'm just going to, I don't think these people hit harder than me. I'm going to go in. So far, he's been right, but, man, you run to the wrong light heavyweight. Might not end well for you. So I want to, I want to see that happen.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Yep. I think that's what's going to end up happening. It just makes too much sense. It's easy. Reyes still has to kind of fight back. Timeline's good. Makes sense to me. I think that's what.
Starting point is 00:53:32 And I also like, because if Reyes wins, man, we're keeping that Reyes second, third. It'll be third, third title shot alive. We were close. We were close there before. Who stopped him? Who ruined the... Oh, Albert. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Who then went on to become champion? Who went on to become champion? Look, if you beat Dominic Reyes, you will become champion. That's not a hard and fast rule because... But look at, like, there's only... Can you name the one guy he's lost to who has not been a UFC champion? Did he lose to Vulcan? Nope.
Starting point is 00:54:05 He beat Vulcan, like a split decision. Correct. It's in the UFC? Sure is. who's not a UFC He has five losses four of them are you are UFC champions Oh my gosh and one of them is not
Starting point is 00:54:16 Oh boy uh no tell me Ryan Span What? He's the only one because he lost to John Jones won that fight Jan Bilhovic Yuri Brehashka Carlos Solberg
Starting point is 00:54:28 But Ryan Span was the fourth fighter In the four fight losing streak And I don't think Ryan Span's gonna be a champion I don't think that's rude to say But uh yeah if you beat him you tend to be very good. Damn. So if Yock beats him, that means something.
Starting point is 00:54:44 I love it. What a great card, man. I could match me for like two or three other people on this car. Cody Steele, I wanted to, God, love me some Cody Steele. The new age and improved Jorge Grigel. I'll say it. I'll say it. Jorge Gurgel wishes he was as good as Cody Steele could be.
Starting point is 00:54:58 It's a shame. I think you've mentioned before, Jed, that he's 30. He's 30. He's not a. He's 30 and he's a lightweight. I don't care. We're going to have a lot of good times with Cody. Might be able to take that like Nate Landward spot or something.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I guess Nate wasn't really a lightweight, but anyway. Okay, we got a lot of listener picks, so I'm going to get into this quickly. But before you guys on the YouTube's, hold off. Do not jump on the YouTube's yet because I'm going to read from the SB Nation app. First, the feed we started it. Yes, yes. We got to give props to people on the app. I do apologize.
Starting point is 00:55:28 It is only available in North America right now, I believe USA and Canada. Maybe Mexico. If you're in Mexico, please drop a note in the feed. So I apologize for anyone who can. can't get in there. You can also comment on the desktop too, but obviously I think through the app is the really the easiest way to do it. So I'll read a bunch of these and I will go to your comments and you two guys. Wait one second. Jed, I'll ask for your reaction on some of these. First, we have Zach Gaius Volcanowski, Jean Silva, Pierreiano, Molly, too, obviously Kavanaugh, Tessorot, Tara.
Starting point is 00:55:57 Your number one fan, Jed, roadside Pomelo seller. I prefer to see... Pomelo. Oh, he's shifted. Yes, you know, yes, he's changed. I prefer to see Volk fight the winner of Pico versus John Silva. They don't seem to let Volk fight very often, so it's going to be spring or summer. John doesn't want to sit that long. Pico is fresh. The world needs this match.
Starting point is 00:56:15 It should happen in their primes, complete carnage. That is an amazing fight. I don't think it's next, but keep going. I mean, if those two dudes fight, I would be super in seeing bulk fight the winner of that. We need that. We need that at some point.
Starting point is 00:56:29 I don't want to read too many repeats, guys. T-Personette, some of the picks we've already had. Timorov Edgar Chires, interesting. Cuniev, Alexander Rockage. That makes a lot of sense, actually. Cato, Jose Delgado. Sure, I like that. Mrazakana, I'm Nikita Krillov.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Very sensible matchmaking here. A little too sensible. Hockey fans, start your morning with Sirius XM Morningscape. Starting point is 00:57:48 First Emperor. Evloia of Diego Lopez, too. Well, Diego is fighting Charles for the BMF titles. So that cannot be next. Even after that fight, boy, I think the ship might have sailed. I don't hate it. I don't hate it. I just went when, but just when would they do it?
Starting point is 00:58:06 Let's say Diego wins. If Diego wins, the ship is sailed for a ship. It's a long time. And Diego loses, though, then it's like, well, he's in that limbo. But the limbo for Diego, Diego going to lightweight was stupid. I was like, this is kind of a silly thing. It's not to like do this sort of thing. Like, oh, one-off fun, exciting fights.
Starting point is 00:58:28 But the path for Diego was always, I am, they love me. They want to give me title fights. wait out Volt. He's not going to be here forever. And so like just if he loses, just go back to 1.45 and you've waited here and Volk's gone. And I promise you that they will just be like, Diego Lopez is fighting somebody for the featherweight title once Volcanowski retires.
Starting point is 00:58:53 So if they do that again, it seems fine to me. Man, that's a good spot if you can get it. I'll tell you, Diego Lopez bless his hurt. First Emperor also likes Kavanaugh and Pantosier. There you go, Jed. what do you think of marab and talbot oh jesus i had not thought about this i can't that's a huge problem for calvert uh no because i think you're burying talbot it's a it's a high risk high reward yeah i'm a treat though if you're the ufc you want talbot to win that fight
Starting point is 00:59:27 and but canny i i don't know so that's not the kind of stop matchup i like to book but it wouldn't be objectively terrible. Let me ask you a question, A.K., because I thought about this. I ultimately settled on new Mars, you know, for Mara. I did think for a little bit, I was like, what if Maraub goes down? What if Rob tries to make a run at 125?
Starting point is 00:59:51 It's something he'd like hinted at previously. I'm not 100% sure how viable it is physically. He's not the biggest band of weight, though. And maybe he could find a way and make a cut and, you know, fight like a Brandon Maran. at flyway just to sort of dip his toes in see how it goes I'm sorry did you say sorry which name did you say that to cut down Marab Robb went down to fly and fall random marino Brandon Revolts yeah I've seen people joking about that obviously the height
Starting point is 01:00:19 but I just think he's so stocky I mean he can't like cut down 10 pounds without losing actual muscle right like he would have to significantly change his body time and it is he has said he was willing to do it before now this was quite a few years ago. This was during the Aljo stuff. Like Aljo was champ and he was like I could do it but I just I've kind of wondered because when we all thought Mara
Starting point is 01:00:42 was going to beat Piotr in the rematch and then it was like well there didn't seem to really be any energy for Marab moving up but it was like what if Pantosha beats Van and Maraub beats Jan? I got ahead of 323 I was like if both
Starting point is 01:00:58 of them win you should just do that that's sick and I'm still kind of like I they'd be interested in watching those two dudes fight. So there's something to think about. I'm curious because depending how Marab's next fight goes, I mean, he could find himself in a bit of a limbo. And, you know, we all know how it happens when a fighter's in limbo. They go for that weight class change.
Starting point is 01:01:14 And yeah, it could be going down. If Sean beats Piotr again, then we have the most clear-cut rock paper scissors that we've had in like a long time. Two wins, two wins, two wins. Just, okay, what do we do here? Triple threat. That's what they would do in pro wrestling. Thank you, First Emperor, for those picks.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Let me go to DeH King. A lot of stuff we've had before. Oh, Volkov versus Hock win or lose against Gone. Oh, actually, yeah, that's probably right. That's probably right. Win or lose? No, no. If God wins, we get the Volkov-Gone trilogy.
Starting point is 01:01:47 I don't agree with that. I think the only way is if Gone wins and then Tom is like, I'm ready for Feb, then we won't get the trilogy. I don't think this guy did the call-up, but he probably should have. Well, Poetton wins. Jen, what do you think of? What do you think of Grant Dawson being the guy who welcomes Usman to the Oossoe? It's not awful, but I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:02:09 I'd like Usman to get a ranked guy. Like Grant Dawson's not ranked, is he? I don't think he's ranked. No, really? He's not the edge somewhere. He is 14th in the meta and not ranked in the Medea. I don't hate it, but I would, I feel like Usman should get the, top five opponent and if he wins title shot not not the amosov will work him up the latter just like
Starting point is 01:02:40 put him right in against the top dude if he wins it title shot if he doesn't then he's just in the pile yeah yeah that can be that can be kind of scary uh shan see from the 603 shout out shan see that is new hampshire i think i had to look that up earlier uh oh i want to touch upon this because someone else also asked line this fight line this fight for me jett dominic reyes Robert winner That is a great question. It's tough. Reyes minus 1.40. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Slight lean Reyes. I just didn't love Whitaker's debut at 205. I know he ends up getting a win and it's not bad, but he just did not look like a 205er to me. And Reyes is very clearly a 205er, so a slight lean Reyes. Okay. I agree. I think that's how it would open as well, yeah. Sean C also says
Starting point is 01:03:43 Kavanaugh versus Van Kapp Loser Yeah I could see I don't think Van I don't know what they would do with Van I do think Cap I do think Cap I do think Cap That'd make a lot of sense for Kavanaa Yakaya versus Billy Alacana Now we're past that we're past that brother
Starting point is 01:03:57 We're going up we're only going up Glass Joe super fan Evloyev Yayir Boy if they could actually book that And make guys make both guys show up on like I schedule That would be incredible Temerav versus Sumudery. I'm surprised more people didn't say Kavanaugh and Summodyargy, but I get it.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Kavanaugh, moving up, don't fight back. Keda, Sean Woodson. What else we got here? Abis versus Jets' favorite fighter, CLD, Christian Liorite Duncan. That's fine. Isn't that what he called for? Who? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:04:28 I think that's what he was called for. I cannot. No, he called for Robocop. Oh, yes. Greg Rodriguez. I'd give him that. It was fine call. I'll give it to him.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Yeah. Sure. All right. Worship. warship says vulcanowski took priority two thank you mma fan 2000 yonov or so mali two is going to be a huge fight could headline in march likely international fight week yeah that could see them pushing it to summer yeah and bulk versus john big fight as well i don't see volk going to fight until like fall 2027 wow it could be
Starting point is 01:04:57 could be a long time till we see uh bulk again i guess all right guys unlikely to me his thing is that he's trying to fight now because he knows his time is limited this is true especially since we know if he wants to katee fight kachi wants to fight within the first like four months of 2027 most likely so yeah i think volk's going to be fighting by the first quarter of next year would be my guess all right jett let's get to these uh super chats first before we get to see them of the matchmaking here uh first a couple we have a member eight month member for michael bea michael biel eight months in in the family we love that amazing michael adds uh using using their eight month uh birthday wish to say bulk armin at 145 is the clear path forward here
Starting point is 01:05:38 That's abusing your privileges, Michael. I mean, I like that better than other things, but I don't like it. Armin has said he can cut down a feather. He's said this multiple times, right? He has, but he also said this week, he was like, they told me I'm fighting for the belt. I was willing to go to 145 if I wasn't going to get my lightweight shot. But now, if it's just like, what if Armin fights John Silva for the featherweight belt while Volk fights Gagee? What are we doing?
Starting point is 01:06:05 What's happening right now? such a silly, silly sport. It is. And it's fun. But it's fun. What else? And then we have one from Odd Lifter. Odd Lifter.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Thank you, $5 from Odd Lifter. He asked Mike this yesterday, apparently. How many Super Chats to get Jed to ride a Six Flags roller coaster? Jed, you like to live your life dangerously? Are you aware of what happened to the Six Flags in a line? I've heard some weeks ago. I've heard that, I believe, the controversy. Man died.
Starting point is 01:06:31 Yes, it's not a happy story. It's not a controversy. A man just died. Okay. Is that what the way? Did they say it was a controversy? Oh, I said a man, you said there's been some congenres, no, a man died. It's pretty controversial, I would say, someone dying on a roller coaster.
Starting point is 01:06:44 It's not great. There's not a lot of people who are pro dying on roller coasters, so there's not like a ton of controversy in that. Well, someone apparently is at least wants to test fate here with a try to serving up superchets to get you on one. So I don't know. You know, I, uh, I didn't love roller coasters growing up. I sort of adopt. I'm not a fan of heights. That has lessened.
Starting point is 01:07:04 The older I got, those less high heights. started to scare me. And roller coaster is going to be fun. But, and like, I've been to Six Flags over Georgia, the one out just outside of Atlanta, many times, but not in many years. And then, yeah, some guy died at that in a very tragic and sad event. And like, this, like, one of the saddest parts of it is that they got it on camera because there's like the, hey, take the picture with your family.
Starting point is 01:07:34 And there is photos of him being. thrown from the car and it's just like also i don't know to what extent any of this is true because i didn't like follow up many reports of like consistent issues with rides at this six flags and so it sure looks like they got a man killed through negligence which i don't know if that's true or not i'm sure that will come out either way is very sad and uh i'm probably not going to six flags for a long time so it sounds like there's no amount of super chats that will get you on tour roller coasters the answer to this question oh the six flags over georgia i don't even know when or if like when that's open maybe it's open again now but hard for me to imagine that they just
Starting point is 01:08:18 like i could just go to six flags right now but uh yeah i'm there's a number but it's more than you want to give how many super chats jed i mean only one super chat if that one super chat is a hundred grand i'll do it damn you know that's that's just a lot of money the number has been set yeah the number has been set that's right so if you want to offer up a hundred grand let me know and i'll ride the roller coaster whenever they let me ride it i don't again i don't know if six flags is open right now uh pacific rage says dc come out of retirement him and ray has got a beef to settle yes if any of you guys missed it i did a little recap article of that on m a fighting dot com Sunday morning Dominic Reyes, not too pleased with the commentary.
Starting point is 01:09:08 I think they're, I don't remember it exactly, but according to Reyes, like, they were a little bit biased. He thinks D.C. was a little biased towards Mirzacanov, maybe giving Mirzacanov a little more credit for what was happening in the fight before Reyes eventually put the big kabash on him. And also calling him kid, which I think, like, you know, a lot of people do that in the U.S. You know, Korme does it. Dana White calls everybody kid. Dominic Rias, not a fan. So he called Korme a low IQ hater. He said his commentary was biased.
Starting point is 01:09:37 And yeah, it doesn't look like they're getting along right now. So I think that would be, I think to think it's funny. I do hope they bury the hatchet. But I'm also kind of glad Dom called them out, in my opinion. You guys have heard us before. DC, not the greatest, most knowledgeable, most consistent commentator. Love the enthusiasm. Love his experience when he's like able to just break down wrestling and like techniques.
Starting point is 01:10:00 All the other stuff around that. It's not great. It's not great. Yeah, I didn't. see what he was upset about from Cormier. I didn't hear a lot of the commentary because we were doing the show and so there's not like a ton of it. I also might I also might be muting the commentary on a lot of fights. I should be clear. So like I don't know what he took Umbrage with. Um, I can understand being upset, being called kid. I will also say like I use that term a lot. So
Starting point is 01:10:29 I like I get where Cormier is from because like I'll call anyone kid. I got that kid over there. be a six-year-old dude who's older than me but like that's but i can understand you being like that's not i would prefer to be treated like a grown adult um i just didn't hear specifically what dc said that bothered him but my general default answer is it's tough because it's daniel cormier is not that good at commentary but also fighters are far too sensitive um for things so like you know you're entitled to feel type of way i did not anticipate this being a beast though that was not something on my bingo card like oh dc dom rea's it's like uh let's okay um but you know people feel types of ways uh lazy ben mentioning they have a beast stepping back to a way and show
Starting point is 01:11:21 where dc said something about how they both lost to john jones and he kind of said it in a condescending way which i can imagine and uh dom did seem to mention that one of his tweets something about like listen only listen we didn't both get whooped by john jones you got whooped by john jones i didn't get by John John. So I think that's what he was talking about. But yeah, strange strange little feud we have there. Jed, what is the like colloquialism sort of like not necessarily a direct insult, but like a phrase that is like casually thrown around that like drives you like if someone calls you and it's like sets you off. Is there anything? There's not a lot like pal, buddy chief boss. You know, dude. Dude. I don't know. I think buddy is one that usually is like meant to do that.
Starting point is 01:12:03 Or like if you talk to somebody that you don't know and call them buddy, that is like usually there's an intent to antagonize. But like I just, that doesn't, but I don't know. I'm a grown up. It's just just like whatever. You know, like if you want to, like calling me some sort of that is not going to rile me up. It's hard. It's pretty hard to super rile me up these days. there are ways to do it, but I can't think of like a specific phrase that will do it.
Starting point is 01:12:36 It's more just like in the moment. Because if I'm, if I'm just in like a sanguine headspace, you could say anything. It was just not going to kill me. But if I'm having a bad day, I'm sick or whatever. Like the fuse is much shorter, obviously. I remember when we were doing an episode of Damn, they were good. I think it was, it was a Vitor? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:57 And we were saying, oh, we were saying like one of the ones. worst things you can like say to say. Playboy. So good. That's, uh, that is the famous Anderson Silva, Damien Maya. Yeah. Yeah. And it's so good. Which is the funniest thing in the world. And I, and I had to think like, lazy bed. Incorrect, buddy. Big fella is just a compliment. Like, if you calls them dude, big fella or big guy, that's just like, big dog, big dog. Big dog. Big dog. You're like, you're like, you're all right? Dog. It can never be taken wrong. Big dog. No. It's like, hey, what's going on? Big dog. I'm like, hell yeah, big dog. That's Big dog in the yard. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:13:31 We're buddies. No. I think Buddy is the is the one that is like supposed to. It's like, hey, buddy, what are you doing? Buddy's almost never said with a polite intent. I guess so. But yeah, most of that. It's mostly if you're going to gyrate me, it's going to be like a pointed attack on something,
Starting point is 01:13:52 not a general term. Like, I don't care. All right. Let me get to some picks here. Okay. Tristan Gordette, always with a deep. cuts. Colby thickness has a big what a great fight that was. Him and Chopra was such a good
Starting point is 01:14:03 fight. Colby thickness versus Timmy Quamba. Yeah, Timmy Quama's kind of got some buzz after his last couple of performances. Grant Dawson, Alexander Hernandez. Can't believe that hasn't happened yet. Sorry, guys. Who else sent in pick? Oh, I screwed on my chat there. I know other people sending picks. I just didn't
Starting point is 01:14:19 Duke Madduck. Duke Madduck, always coming in with the picks. Volcanowski Shai Duleev. Shadulah, okay. Yon and Sean. course yakiyaev goose gov i saw a lot of this i understand i don't hate it i don't hate it no because i understand we want to keep putting guys in front of him that is just going to meet him toe to toe and we get a first round finish i get it i think just i feel like he jumped over him
Starting point is 01:14:43 and gooseca's last performance was really bad like unless you're real this this to me is a bad squash match i put that way like we have a good squash matches bad squash matches yackab would be like minus 500 in this i'm not about it i'm not about it uh dawson tommy gant yeah Tommy can't kind of a sleeper at 155 Cody Steele Oh, Mandel Nalo Yes Yes
Starting point is 01:15:07 Agreed That's really fun Someone's very fun Someone's getting shmoked Abis Megamatov Fluffy Hernandez Wow Is Abis getting a top 10 guy for sure?
Starting point is 01:15:18 I think Mike pitch this And I think that's fine too I think Abe's because Abis is ranked I believe And he's just lost the Highly Ranked guys So you give him a crack at another one, see sort of where he settles.
Starting point is 01:15:31 I think he's getting a ranked guy for sure. And he'd do worse than fluffy. Maybe the magical guilt team pays off again, man. I mean, that bad boys, that's a weapon. He's got a weapon, man. He had the coolest finit. He had the coolest highlight of last night. And he didn't get a bonus, I don't believe.
Starting point is 01:15:47 And I get it because like the other stuff that they gave, the context was more significant. But putting that man to sleep and then doing the Nate DS flex. That was nice. That's the cool. The coolest single highlight if you remove context easily went to Abe's awesome. That was nice. Cam Rosson, good win too, man. Because Cam, I think it's like a sleeper at 185 and maybe still could be.
Starting point is 01:16:08 You and Mike both believe that. Yeah, I don't know. You both made me question it because I was like, I have never believed in Cam Rothson. And then both of you were like, I think he's better than people think. I was like, I think he's not. You still might be right, but at least on Saturday, I felt, I was like, oh, good, because I was like really confident Abis was like I think he's just a much better fighter
Starting point is 01:16:31 than Camer Alston is but then I started to second guess myself so at least for Saturday I felt good about it Point well point Mishu Point Mishu and last one from Duke Madduck Vagayev and Bejillo yeah maybe it's time but the good thing is Vagayev
Starting point is 01:16:45 I don't know if is he not a welterweight I know he could just stick at 185 it feels like that makes a lot of sense for him he's not a Walter way though I'm not really sure probably Jed
Starting point is 01:16:58 It's a harder weight class It is a harder weight class And frankly he just feels middleweighty Like I forgot that he wasn't a middleweight in his debut I was like oh yeah He does feel very middleweight He feels super middleweighting Masters of the universe classic Jedd
Starting point is 01:17:11 You pulled this up He just asked it like eight times I feel like even though we sort of addressed it We can just address it again He wants to know Jedden AK I'm interested in where you feel Mario Batista should fit in with all this at Bantamweight Two fight win streak I know
Starting point is 01:17:25 But last win over Sanahagan Yeah he is is an odd duck in 135 isn't he yeah that's why like when you listen to my picks that's why i think if you do morab and umar to they're set aside in their own little world song has to fight somebody song and mario fight and they are that's the number one contender route because omali gets to fight better for sure song now needs somebody and mario's on a good windstreet just to fight winstreet just beat corey sandhagen deserves an opportunity of upward mobility um i think booking against marab would be kind of mean because also then song doesn't have anybody to fight you could do song
Starting point is 01:18:04 versus marab and then you do mario versus umar again no so simplest answer mario and and song fight for an unborn contender fight yeah i get it yeah i i i get it i think that's i think that's a very logical way this will go last thing i'm going to answer guys before we just kind of look ahead to next week's scorching apex card. John Ray asked earlier, AK, when do we get to the GFL talk? Are you guys doing a live watch along with the GFL roster reveal Monday? My goodness, Jed, I hope you saw it, that there was a tweet from the GFL account.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Well, they kind of like every now and then sneaking something in on social media. Like they signed Marlon Mottice a while back, who may be competing on this card. I should bring this up. I should bring this up. I should give this the proper respect it deserves. The way it is over. This was Saturday night as Marab de Walsh Vili and Piotr-Yon was starting. The wait is over.
Starting point is 01:18:58 The global fight league is here. A new era in M.A.M.A. Begins December 18th. And Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Miami Monsters versus the Buenos Aires Gauchos, 20 fighters, two teams, one historic night. History starts here. They did not officially announce who any of these 20 fighters are. I bring up Marlon because if you go to their social media, you can see one of the recent signings. Was Marlon Moraes to the Miami team?
Starting point is 01:19:22 And it appears that they have an event in Buenos Aires. They might be trying to get to Las Vegas, too. I know Nolan King recently tweeted that they've, you know, gone through the paperwork. They have to with the commissions to try an event, get an event in Las Vegas. We don't know if that's official yet, but they are announcing an event in Argentina. John Wright asking, yeah, well, they're supposed to be a roster reveal Monday. Guys, if you have never done it, please go back and watch at least bits and pieces of the first ever GFL draft. And then please read Jed Michouds.
Starting point is 01:19:50 this man put his blood, sweat, and tears into a GFL draft breakdown for these teams and fighters, which never, it never materialized to actual bounce. The GIFL draft is one of the worst thing that said. No, Chad. I was so excited because I was like, this is so dumb and I'm in. And then they, like, gave up midway through. It was like, I don't know what we're doing. This is a sham. It was just, it was so shambolous.
Starting point is 01:20:20 Northcutt was so surprised though. Stage Northcutt was like, wow, I can't believe it, guys. God, like, gee whiz, golly G. Like, it was so shambolic. And just like something, man, they spent all their money on making the GFL song and none of it anywhere else. This event happens. I'm in. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:20:43 It's very, very stupid. Are you working Monday? Because I think you're covering. I'm not working tomorrow. I can change that event. No. I can change that. I will buy it. I see specifically. I have to work tonight. And then I see, I see specifically on the calendar jam off. And I think I made a note, no GFL. I think it says, I think this was a, I think I think HR sent me this note. Like no. He's legally, he will not cover the GFL. I have to work after this show. And that's going to be a real struggle for fair. Well, just think about the GFL and it was firing. December 18th, the GFL is back. Almost there. Okay. And next week, next week, I have not even taken a hard look at this card. Let me go, you know, I'm going to go to M.A.fighting.
Starting point is 01:21:24 I don't think you want to. Schedule page. We have USC Vegas 123 at the apex in Las Vegas, headlined by Hanato Moikano. And one of... It's an interesting fight. I like the fight. One of Jedmishu's brightest contender series prospects once in a spot time,
Starting point is 01:21:38 Tom Nolan. So I like that. We got Randy Brown versus Jacoby Smith. I think Randy Brown is... I think Jacobi's coming in on short notice. No? Correct. Brown was supposed to fight Carlos Layout.
Starting point is 01:21:50 and then Jacoby Smith. Oh, yes. Yes, Jacobi Smith. That's exciting. Big opportunity. Great for my fantasy team. Oh, that's right. O'Day Osborne and Cody Durdin was recently added to the main card.
Starting point is 01:22:01 It looks like. That's a fair scrap, but not something I, that's like getting excited about, but it's a reasonable scrap. Santos on Santos, guys, Yana Santos versus Luana Santos. Who is the Santos? Who is the Santos. Who is? Who drops. Name fight.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Fight for the name. Who becomes just Yanna or just Luana. And then Jean, I'm amazed no one, no like women fighters specifically has done just like a Madonna thing. Just like go with a one name. I think it'd be such a good game. Loma? Yeah, technically. I mean, we all know.
Starting point is 01:22:33 I think we all call her. It's all Loma Lou Bune me, but like Loma's a little bit of that. There are a couple others in like Risen, like a couple of Japanese fighters who have, like Muzuki. Yeah, that's right. She did. Yes, he did. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:47 But there's not a lot of mononym, especially because we also do know the other. Yes. Like that there is a surer or a supplementary name. If she had a GFL jersey, it would just say Loma on the back. I think we can agree on that. 100%. Okay. But like, if she was part of the, you know, New Hampshire wildcats or whatever.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Yes. Yes, the New Hampshire wild. That's the team name. Yeah. Could be. But no, Yana Santos and Luana Santos. Loser has to be Yana or Luana Doe is their last name no longer. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:20 And opening up the main card, looks like we have Jean-Paul Abesnoyani. I'm a big fan and Farman Hassanov, who I also think has some juice. So not a terrible main card, not, you know, biggest in terms of name power. And then on the pre-lems, Rodrigo Sazenando finally coming back versus Theodore
Starting point is 01:23:36 Bergrin, Julian Erosa. Could be his retirement about Jed. This could be the last... I think he said it was, didn't he? He said it was, yes. This is the... No more juice. Juicy J is out of juice. I have lots of. juice. He'll be facing
Starting point is 01:23:52 me and OJ have been good friends the last three days. I for some reason I thought right orange juice okay. Zhang Yang Lee Nick Klein versus Joseph Cropshot. You have any Joseph Cropshot thoughts not a clue? Okay. Oh no that was a he was a contender series dude.
Starting point is 01:24:10 Right. I think I rated him quite poorly though. Let me pull up my he's on this most recent contender series thing. Yeah. Let me see what bucket I put him in. It can't have been higher than like oh one star i did not consider him good great uh tilita alan carp pier rodriguez uh lucius vobo tinar lisboa and about that was like i wasn't sure it was confirmed but here it is and this is not the order guys this fight could be higher from the prelims zachary reese and yes micky gall they're getting him back in there the dumas fight fell through okay we are getting Mickey gall back in the
Starting point is 01:24:44 i have to imagine he's just fulfilling his contract but hey more power to him for getting back in there We got a Stephen Coslow appearance, 2026, guys. Now we're getting Mickey Gall and Zachary. So, you go, guys. That's next Saturday's card. Mike and I will be back to a matchmaking after. You guys know where to find us. It's Halloween.
Starting point is 01:24:58 It's Halloween. It is Halloween. You guys know where to find us. This is also like a boxing match happening that day, allegedly, in a country, in an area, which I feel like they should not be having a boxing match. But it's Conno. I don't know what you're talking about. Canelo will be.
Starting point is 01:25:10 Perfectly safe. Just this is Dana White. Canelo is also boxing in Halloween. We'll have all that cars in Mayflying.com, guys. And we will, I think, I think that's all there is. So, yeah, like I said, hit up Mike and I, as usual, through our DMs on social media. You guys know. Thank you, Jed.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Big thank you to Jed for joining us. And, yes, that is all this week on the next one. USC 33. That was fantastic. Thanks, guys. Love you all. You're listening to the Vox Media Podcast Network. Hockey fans, start your morning with Sirius XM Morningscape.
