MMA Fighting - On To the Next One: Matches To Make After UFC Vegas 121
Episode Date: September 27, 2026Raul Rosas Jr. got the victory in his first ever UFC headliner, but it was not in the way he would've liked as Barcelos suffered a medical issue in the fifth round that led to him getting stretchered ...out of the octagon, leaving fans wondering what happened. While we still don't have the answer to that question, and at least know Barcelos is recovering, where does Rosas go from his sixth straight win? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck gives his thoughts on what could be next for the 21-year-old bantamweight contender. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for Ailin Perez following her decision win against Norma Dumont, Luis Hernandez after his breakout debut showing against Sedriques Dumas, along with TUF Finale winners Ilimbek Akylbeck Uulu and Tina Black, and more. Plus, a plethora of listener picks following the UFC's return to the Meta APEX. Well, hello there, everybody.
And welcome to a brand new edition of On to the Nassbunuch.
next one, the matchmaking crowns are back after UFC Vegas 121, sort of a up and down event
for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. There is some good, there is some bad, there is some
scary, most notably in regards to Hione Barcellos. But the UFC did provide a little bit of
an update, obviously on the post-fight show. We were sort of reading off different
reports and things that we were gathering along the way. But the UFC, about an hour or so after
the post-fight show, released a statement on the UFC.com website. And here's what it said.
Quote, following his fight tonight, Hione Barsellos is immediately transported to a level one
trauma center for evaluation. The hospital medical team conducted a CT scan and comprehensive
assessment, and he is currently being monitored. Barcelos is stable, alert, and responsive with
full movement. He will remain under medical supervision. We'll provide updates on its condition
as they become available. And Davy Hamos also released a bit of a statement, which was
transcribed by our own Giermae-Ma-Cruz. And this is what he said. Hione is doing well.
He has all his senses. He's moving his leg, his arm, his hand, he's conscious, he's talking.
Everything is fine with him. He's undergoing some tests, and pretty soon he'll be here to talk to you
guys. I just wanted to let you know so you can all stay calm. Keep praying for him. He's
undergoing all the tests that are standard in a situation like this. He'll have to rest because of
what happened. But God willing, everything will be fine. He'll be here with us soon and he'll be
talking to you guys. Thank you to everyone who's been sending messages, positive energy, praying
and keeping all of us in your prayers. And here's more from Davy, which you can read on M.Afying.com.
We had a great fight.
We practiced a sport that we can't predict, unfortunately, but we know for sure that we were doing our best.
Hione is a warrior, phenomenal fighter, and he showed you that with all the technique he has, all the skill and heart he has, he showed everything about where he wants to go, where we all want to go.
With all the work we've been putting in, congratulations to him, and thank you for the messages.
Keep praying for him pretty soon.
He'll be back here with us to put on another great show.
So that is the latest on Hione Barcellos following.
I mean, he looked real good in the fight.
He was winning three out of the...
He won three out of the four rounds.
I had it 39, 36.
I thought he had a 10-8 round four.
And he was just kind of putting the boots to Rollerosa Jr.
And then the fight just sort of abruptly stopped after a takedown.
And Rollerich Jr. gets the win.
And we'll talk about where he goes and other fighters as well.
I am Mike Heck, by the way.
I don't think I introduced myself at the beginning of the show.
But you guys probably already know that.
I'm riding solo this week.
A.K. has a day off. So it's just you and I. We've got a lot of submissions. Some of you sent to A.K., which were forwarded over to me. Some of you sent some stuff on Instagram, which you typically send to AK, but you send to me instead. So let's get right into it. Let's talk about Raul Roses Jr. who gets the win in the main event. It's, I don't know how to really describe the win. You guys are all pretty much aware what happened.
And Barcellus was winning.
He was running away with it.
Roses, to his credit, was super tough.
Survived some really hairy spots and made it to the fifth round.
Knew he needed a finish and got it in kind of a strange way.
I still don't know what happened because he just kind of lightly took him down.
And then Barcellus was just done.
And shout out to Raul Roses Jr. for not inflicting any more punishment than he needed to.
you got the win.
A lot of people are complaining about the celebration,
but you have to understand when you're in those situations
and you don't know what's happening,
you kind of just go with it.
And so I don't really blame him too much for that,
but some of you obviously disagree with that.
But the unfortunate thing, despite him showing his toughness,
and despite that fight being an absolute heater,
is he's not really going to gain a whole lot from this.
I had a lot of questions about Rao Rojas Jr. and his ceiling,
and I know he's pretty young.
in the sport, but he doesn't strike me as a guy that's going to be fighting for the next 10 years.
He's said it many times.
He hopes to be out of the sport by 25.
So I had some questions answered for sure.
His toughness, his willingness to battle through adversity.
Those questions were answered, no doubt about it.
Do I view him as a guy who's going to fight for a belt or anything of that sort?
Probably not.
But you never know.
Maybe something clicks and he goes on a bit of a run.
but I'm not going too crazy here.
I think we're just going to give him a bit of a name,
a guy who is ranked in the meta rankings,
who, you know, heading into Saturday,
Roses was not ranked.
I'm sure he's going to get a bit of a bump.
I don't think he's going to get,
I mean, maybe meta will put him up in the eight spot
where Barcellos was,
but I certainly am not going to bump him up too much
following this win.
Bryce Mitchell.
I think Bryce Mitchell makes a lot of sense.
It's a tough fight.
Again, we're going to get some questions to answer.
I think Roses improved his striking quite a bit.
And Bryce is kind of a mofo at Bannamweight.
So I think that's the fight to make.
I just can't give him too much of a bump following this fight,
especially the way the fight ended and especially how the first four rounds went.
But if you guys haven't seen the fight,
if you guys chose to do something else on a Saturday night,
I don't really blame you with the lineup.
It was a good watch.
It was fun most of the time.
There were some pretty bad things that happened in this fight.
Card, so it wasn't all roses, but the main event absolutely ruled.
So if there's one thing you need to go back and rewatch,
you should probably go back and rewatch that fight.
At least the first four rounds, it was a heater.
So shout out to both those guys.
I'm glad Hione Barsellos is doing better and hopefully get some more updates sooner rather than later.
Let's go to the co-main event.
It was a pivotal one.
This is a fight that was buried on the prelims, and then as we got closer to fight night, I believe on Thursday, it got bumped up to the co-main event.
It was the grudge match between Eileen Perez and Norma Dumont.
And unfortunately, when I said, if there's one thing you should go back and rewatch, you should go back and rewatch the main event.
If there's one thing you probably should skip over, it's probably the co-main event.
this was not a good fight.
This was your typical
MMA grudge match
where all the talk leading into it
it did not,
the fight itself did not live up to that.
It was not a great fight.
I thought Dumot won,
but people are screaming robbery here
and I just, I'm not buying it.
I did score for Norma,
but that third round was so close.
Like Norma did stuff for like the first two minutes
and then Eileen did stuff on the bottom half,
neither inflicted a ton of damage on the other.
So I don't think this is a runaway.
I think Dean Thomas actually broke this down perfectly on the post-fight show
saying like, look, Norma wasn't really sitting down on her shots.
She was landing stuff, but nothing crazy.
And she kind of gave this one away.
And Perez was kind of giving it away in round two.
I thought she won the first round clearly.
I thought Dumas won the second round clearly.
And then the third round was,
Up for grabs. I did lean Dumont, but 29, 28 either way, made sense to me. And some people did not agree with me on that. And that's okay. But Eileen Perez does get the win via unanimous decision. And I don't know where to go here. I assume we're just going to go Jocelyn Edwards and like a legit number one contender fight, although Jocelyn's done enough in my opinion to merits getting a title shop. But we stuffed away for Kayla and Amanda to do their thing.
November and we got to make sure we get there first.
And whoever wins that fight probably isn't turning around super fast.
So that's the fight you make.
And if like Kayla wins and retires, then that's the fight you make for the vacant title.
I mean, that's just, I just don't see anywhere else for Eileen Perez to go.
So yeah, do Jocelyn Edwards.
We'll call it a more contender fight and go from there at women's 135 pounds.
That division is in a tough spot.
It has been for a while, but continues to be in a tough spot
until we can get a title fight in and maybe we can get a little bit of movement.
So let's go to the featured bout, which took place at 205 pounds.
It was Luis Hernandez, the cop, taking on Sidrique Dumas,
who has had his troubles with the law.
And, you know, we said heading into this fight card that,
If there's one guy who can really break out here, it's Luis Hernandez just because people don't like Sidrigi Dumas.
They're a guy who competes frequently, a guy with some personality.
I will be talking to Luis Hernandez this week.
So stay tuned for that in MAPFighting.com.
It's a great website.
And yeah, I think at this point, it's just getting him out there as much as possible.
He wants to get right back in there.
So I don't want to go too crazy here.
I mean, he's 9 and 0.
It was a good win.
I mean, really the correct answer is.
just like whoever is available and ready to go as quickly as possible. So I'm just throwing out
there and this is nothing to do with rankings. He's a little too early to even have that conversation.
I'm going with Jackson McVeigh. Let's just do that. I think Hernandez probably goes out there and
gets to finish. And again, we can continue to build him up and then we can slowly start moving him
up the ranks a little bit. But yeah, if McVeigh had a quick fight in his last one, maybe he can
turn around relatively fast, get him in there with Luis Hernandez.
sure, but there's really no wrong answer here.
It's whoever's ready to go relatively fast.
We did have two ultimate fighter finale fights.
One ended the way you'd wanted to,
and one ended in probably the worst possible way.
And this one we're going to talk about
was at 170 pounds.
And it was Ilimbek Akelbeck taking,
Oh, no, Bannamweight, excuse me.
Jesus.
Sorry about that.
Bantam weight.
Wow, it could not be further off there.
But right-hand accountability up in the sky.
Al-Lumbeck taken on Muhammad Ali, Osmanli.
And Acklebeck got a take-down early.
Muhammad-A-Ly is able to get back up.
Then there was a moment where some legs were crossed.
Acklebeck fell and Muhammad-A-Ly lands probably the most illegal knee I've ever seen
in a UFC octagon.
right up there with Peotra Yam, this one was probably worse.
He just absolutely obliterated him with this.
And I saw some people saying, oh, he's faking and all that stuff.
And it looked a little weird.
And I get, you know, but I mean, that knee was nasty.
That was flush.
His team actually had to, like, lift him up and put him on the stool.
And Carrie Hatley, I was wondering what he was going to do.
It didn't seem like he was even stopping the fight for a while.
Finally, he stops it.
And I was like, oh, God, we're going to get a no contest.
He should absolutely disqualify Muhammad Ali.
and sure enough, he disqualified him.
He did the right thing.
Some refereeing that we can shine a little bit of a light on.
And Olimbeck gets the win is the ultimate fighter.
He's got the plaque and certainly not the way he wanted to get it done.
So, I mean, could they run this one back?
Sure.
They could certainly do that.
If not, we go Billy Ray Gough, somebody like that.
I mean, he doesn't gain a whole hell of a lot from this win, honestly.
He did get the contract and the plaque.
and he gets to call himself the ultimate fighter,
but certainly not the way anyone wanted that fight to end,
but it goes as a win, it is a legit win,
it is a clear-cut disqualification,
whether you say he was faking it or not.
I certainly don't think he was,
but you can't do illegal stuff.
You just can't.
You certainly can't throw an illegal knee like that.
And Acklebeck gets it done.
So, I,
I think they're probably going to run this one back, but if not, we go Billy Ray Goff.
Now, the other ultimate fighter fight, this was at 115 pounds, the strawweight division.
Tina Black just beat the brakes off of Melissa Amaya.
And Melissa is a fine fighter.
She competed for kombachi for pretty much her entire pro run.
And, you know, it wasn't like the worst competition I've seen somebody face.
but this is one of those situations where, I mean,
if you just look at the records
and you look at the level of competition,
Tina just fought way, way better competition,
way better along the way.
So to me, this was kind of a no-brainer
that Tina was going to go out there and win
because to me that stuff matters.
It really does.
And even when you get on a show like the Ultimate Fighter,
like, yeah, you're facing, you know,
a little bit better competition
if you're in the Melissa Amaya camp,
but when you're fighting two and threes and seven and sevens
and one and ones over and over again,
that doesn't really prepare you for these big situations.
And Tina was high on a lot of people's list anyways,
but like, I mean, dude,
she was losing to Pierre Rodriguez on Contender Series
in, like, her sixth or seventh fight.
She was fighting Julia Pallastry in, like, her fifth MMA fight.
She was fighting the Maria Oliveras of the world,
like super early in her career.
Like, you know, not everybody stands out, but, you know,
Ediana Silva is a good win.
Carolina Wojcheck is a good win.
Like, these are good quality wins along the way.
Taylor Malden, good win along the way.
Yulia, good win.
Kastano, good win.
Like, these are just, these are good wins along the way.
And competition, especially in the regional scene matters.
And, you know, this is not throwing shade at Melissa Meyer or anything like that.
You fight who you are.
presented and you go in there and fight those people.
But Tina just fought better people.
And it showed.
She just.
Now, Melissa, shut out to her.
Like, that, that fight was going so incredibly bad for her.
But she survived and got into like a sick flurry at the end.
Probably saved her from a 10-8 overall.
I don't even know how those, I don't even know how it was scored, honestly.
Let me, let's see if we could take a gander here.
Great live radio.
So that was the Roses fight.
Let's go to the cards here.
That was the Ilembeck one.
Yeah, all 10-9s for Tina Black and Round, obviously.
But that was, we were on a road to 10-8sville.
And then Amaya had like that flurry at the end
that's kind of brought it back to a 10-9.
But I talked about this on the post-fight show.
I'm sticking with it.
Tina Black versus Vanessa Demopoulos.
Let's keep Vanessa around for one more.
She's the perfect debut opponent.
Just perfect.
She's going to go in there and get got real good.
Tina's going to look fantastic, probably get a bonus.
And yeah, we keep Vanessa around for one fight.
Like, Jed and I have been talking about this for years.
Yeah, it's, it's,
there are fighters outside of the promotion that, like,
probably deserve their shot,
but there is value on fighters who are willing to get in there
and say yes to anybody,
and they get got real good.
And Vanessa is just going to get in there and go after it,
and she's probably going to get finished.
So this is, this is a good quality,
opponent someone's going to get in Tina's face and try to fight her it's not going to go well for her but
to me this is the perfect debut fight so that's how I would do it wild card we have of course I think
you guys know where I'm going with this I was one of the the the drivers of the montel jackson train
and he's so talented so good it's just a matter of like can we get him in the in the octagon and if we
do, can he do something? Can he actually throw punches? Can he throw kicks? Can he get active at all?
And normally he's got that sort of Cheeto Vera-ish style where, especially when the competition gets a little
better, where he just doesn't do anything until it's too late. This time he did a lot and he beat
the soul out of Ricky Simone. Now, he just battered him in the first round and then landed that
jab left hook combination to finally knock Ricky down again.
I think he now has the most knockdowns in UFC Bannamweight history.
Dude just hit so hard.
His hands are gigantic.
And this is a guy who I think could have fought for a belt someday.
I think the bloom is off the rows a little bit on that.
But still, really, really good fighter is a problem for a lot of people.
And you know what?
Why not just match the two guys up who kind of have the same?
problem, but have both looked, looked fantastic in their last fights because they actually did stuff.
Let's do Montel Jackson versus Chito Vera.
Let's have a little fun here.
I think that's a fun fight, especially if both those guys fought the way they fought in their most recent fights.
I don't think you can go too far up with Chito after the run he was on, and I don't think you can go super duper far up with Montel either.
I think they're ranked right around the same.
I think that's the fight to make.
I think it's a good wild card selection,
and that's what I'm going with.
So there you go.
There's the wild card.
There's our picks, et cetera.
And we're going to take a short timeout.

to your picks a k for did some stuff over you guys were very good at submitting stuff
via instagram as well so let's go uh let's start with matthew stormens uh didn't know if email still
worked or I needed to make my picks on the new app.
But here we go. You should get the app if you haven't done so yet.
Montel Jackson v. the Marcus McGee, Bernardus, Pye winner.
Brenner versus Mandel Nalo after he beats Nate the Train.
Vietta versus Jacob Malcun, Highstand versus John Matsumoto, Tina Black, Ariane,
Karna, Karna Losey, Hernandez versus the Court McGee, Eric Nolan winner at 170
or Hernandez versus Nick Klein, Cropshot winner at 185.
It won't be Court McGee
Because Cort McGee's fighting on Saturday
And that's it
That's the Swan Song
That's the last fight
So
He closes out that with either way
Can't wait for his next fight
Dumont versus Bia
Once she beats Macy
Perez versus Edwards
Roses versus
Fareed Basharat
Let's go to Eli
Eli is saying
Raul Roses Jr. versus Corey Sanhagan
Massive step up for Roses
But he seems to be improving
and this would be a massive opportunity to see where he stands with the divisions elite.
I don't think he could do that.
I mean, they might do it, but I just don't think you can bump him up that much based on how that fight ended.
He was losing and losing badly.
While it was fun, he was, it was just not good.
And I still don't know what happened with Barcelona.
Just a weird way to end it.
I think he's going to need another win against a tough dude before we can start talking the Corey Sandhagans.
But they might do it.
Who knows?
Eileen Perez, Jocelyn Edwards, too.
two, both women beat Norma and Eileen already has a win over Edwards.
So a little doo-do for me.
I forgot they fought.
Plus, neither of anywhere else to go is we all wait to see what happens between Harrison and Nunes.
He likes Luis Hernandez versus Ozzy Diaz.
If Hernandez stays a middleweight and seems like a right-of-passage matchup for all high prospects in the division.
Ackleback versus Valogden.
I have no idea of either these guys are any good, but this fight would be fun regardless.
Tina Black versus Sean Abandon.
Oh, boy.
Yeah, that's actually really good, too.
for this reason, I think this would be an absolute mauling
and a great way to make an impression for black in the UFC.
So, yeah, that's a great pick too.
Get her over, let her get a huge finish
against someone who gets Scott great.
Highstand versus Phillips.
I like that one, Brenner versus Mike Davis.
Dang, that's a good one.
And he's with me on Montel Jackson
versus Marlon Chito Vera.
Let's go to the Instagram.
Gerard, Roses versus Aiman Zahabhi.
Barcellus versus Charles Jordane
I don't think we can really match
for Barcellos right now
a little too soon
until we wait to see what's happening
Eileen Perez versus Julianna Pena
I don't mind that one
Payne is even in a fight again
Hernandez versus Disco Todorovich
Osmanli versus
Akelbechtush just running back
yeah that's something that I can absolutely see happening
Black versus
Zhang Jingyan
Heistam versus Sadi
Christian Edwards Dior Nagarzai
shot at Christian Edwards getting a UFC win.
I didn't have that on my bingo car,
but he went out there and did it and good on him.
Brenner versus Mahashate
and Montel Jackson versus Bryce Mitchell.
He's with me on that one.
So I like that one quite a bit.
A couple more we got to get to.
Let me just check the,
let me check the app real quick.
Make sure we weren't getting,
I probably should have put out a little thing here.
We do have some Roses selections here.
from the Apple gets there in a second.
Let's go to J.B. Jacob.
Evening, Mike,
a.k. Directed me to you for the out-no picks this week.
I'm hoping at all as well,
and I'm definitely hoping that Hione-Barselas is okay
because that was scary. It was.
My picks. Luis Hernandez versus DeKline,
Cropshot winner.
He-Stand versus Al-Talat-Lang-A-Lee.
Vietta versus Dante Johnson.
Dante Johnson is actually booked against Jimmy Suss
at UFC 334,
Banzignor, Serser Chayev.
So a little bit doo-doo,
but I had some of
well so we'll call it we'll call it even brenner versus mike davis montal jackson charles jordaian
yeah that's a good one let's go to do to do alas can't uh alaskan alaskan talasian
alasian tangerines there we go rowell versus a hobby peres versus painy if she's still fighting
hernandez versus micky gall if he insists on welterweight yeah i don't mind that one rematch for the
men's tough finale black versus shana bannon yeah we're kind of on the same page there just give tina
a squash match wild card montel versus bryce mitchell and we got a couple more to get to here we do have
some on twitter as well jeremy sup mike montel jackson vurnish's olivera another brener
davis that seems to be the popular pick christian edwards minyang jang yeah actually i don't mind
that one vietta versus cesari oligzec in his walking papers when he loses he stand versus
Colby thickness.
Tina Black,
Pollyanna,
Viana,
just run back.
The other tough finale.
Hernandez,
Valentin, Robert Valentine,
that is,
Eileen Perez,
Jocelyn Edwards,
Tite Eliminator,
Roses versus
Kyler Phillips.
Hope Barsellis,
okay.
Kyler's a good one.
I don't mind that one.
Left lane.
Ought no time
falling a very apexy card.
Roses versus Sanhagen.
I think he gets comfortably beaten,
but you kind of just got to do
a rankings-wise.
Yeah,
I'm just not there.
I just don't think
he could be rewarded with that.
That's just me.
Don't want a match week for Barselaos,
but we have limited details about what happened
and if he'll even be back,
hoping it's somehow not as bad as it looked,
and he can make a full recovery and compete
if he's healthy enough to do so moving forward.
Perez Edwards, too, I guess.
Hernandez wants to cut back down to 170, apparently,
but he also wants to fight again soon.
Not going to happen at all.
I'm just throwing out Torres, Finney,
and congratulating whoever gets the point for him.
Reebok, not Reebok,
rebook, the tough Bannaway fight,
Black versus Loma, because that's fun.
Stan versus Blackshare, Vietta versus Reese, feels like real apex prelim type fight.
Edwards versus Iwo on a bounceback.
Yeah, it's actually pretty good.
Won't get much love, but shout out Brenner, who's getting, who's been fighting hitters.
Glad to see him back in the wind column.
Let's do Jared Gordon.
Jackson Jordan, Aletangeli versus Rinya on the next China card.
Hadeghi versus Ardali-on.
Yeah, I don't mind that one.
Let's go to the Twitter machine.
I know we got some there.
Picks by Frod.
Here we go.
UFC Vegas 121.
Perez versus Julianna Pena for some sort of the Bannamway title.
Norma versus Bia after Bia dismembers Macy at MSG.
Another Raul Roses-Avon-Sahabee pick, Hernandez-Zakris,
Hamid Ali versus Jafel Filio.
Well, we're matchmaking for Muhammad Ali, Ali, but not the winner.
How about that?
He-Stand versus Sadi.
there you go.
And then we will wrap up with four corner sports.
Here we go.
Yasmin Hadeghi versus Mizuki Inouye.
Yeah, I like that one.
Alteni Lee versus Nuzzi.
Montel, Jackson, Bryce Mitchell,
Brenner versus Hooper,
Heral, Zell Huber,
Eileen versus Edward II for the Women's Band-Mway title
after the winner at MSD retires,
aka Nunes.
And another pick for
Raul Roses Jr. versus Charles
Jordan. So there you have it.
That is UFC Vegas 121.
Shout out to everyone who submitted picks. Oh, let's go to the app
real quick. We did put up a poll
and a lot of you commented on this. What is next for
Raul Roses Jr.? The choices were
Umar. Marri Batista, Amon Zahabi, David Martinez, or
other. Reading Free said they should give him someone who has a decent
chance of beating. That's not Batista or Umar.
Thought he looked great last night, showing much more grit and
resilience than I expected. That wouldn't have changed that he
lost to this, that he would have lost to this.
decision.
Paguro, I'd like to see him against Fareed Basharat.
Faree deserves a big name and Roald is another big test.
First Emperor, Marcus Beghii is a perfect test.
He's like Barcelos with more thump.
Roses will need to tighten, we'll need to fight defensively sound to win that one
or get taught some big lessons.
Okay.
Walker, Texas Ranger, the man is ranked number 11 in Tapology.
And his best one is Rob Font, not sure where he was ranked at the time, but the man
is a fighter two away from retiring.
I don't know how Roses has that ranking.
I feel like there's guys behind him in that ranking.
beat him. Yes, he does improve, but he hasn't fought anyone inside the top 25 yet outside of
font. His first big test was Hione and he was down 3-1, his grit. Youth kept him going versus
39-year-old. So that would be inside the top 25. Meta rankings have had Barselaus and number
8 heading into this. Cheeto 9, Talbot 8, Corey 7, Mario 6. I don't see Rosa has having a chance
versus any of those. So, yeah. And Jed mentioned Cheetos in the corner, so he probably doesn't
fight him. X Factor. Right now his biggest weakness.
This is conditioning.
Things took a turn when he gassed out,
and that's because he's conditioned to grapple
and not strike five rounds.
He fixes that.
He's a problem for anyone in the division
because he's skilled and he's a dog.
Kid loves to fight and he ain't scared to walk into the fire.
Yeah, but again,
I think Bryce is perfect.
I think that's the fight.
Beckett gave him much longer thought on it
in the post-fight thread.
I think all the guys in the top seven are just too much.
Basharad's a Jito.
Those feel like the right fights for him next.
but again,
Cheetos probably not,
uh,
not doing the thing.
D.H.
King says,
I'm going up against Sandhagen next.
I don't feel that Rosa
will probably lose his next time out
no matter who it's against,
but he has been steadily improving
at every fight.
And I think he showed
that he's taken a leap of sorts
in that fight last night.
Similar to when O'Malley fought Jan,
I am more confidence
in Rosa's contender now that I did before.
Okay?
What else we got?
I think that's it.
A little bit of,
uh,
back and forth there.
And there you go.
So that is some of the discourse you can find on the all-new SB Nation app.
Make sure you download it and jump into that conversation.
So if you didn't get your questions read on there,
just jump into Jed's poll, his post with its entitled,
Where Does Raul Roche Jr. go from here?
And you can have your voices heard on that.
So next week, we will be getting after things a little bit more
because it is a numbered event, whether we like it or not.
So we'll have a live on to the next one next week.
So we will be putting a little bit of a thread in the SB Nation app
following UFC 332.
So you guys can throw some picks in there.
You can also take part in the program live on YouTube.
Here is the lineup for UFC 332 for the vacant UFC Women's Flyway Championship,
Natalia Silva, taking on Wang Tong.
We have in the co-made event,
Peyton Talbot versus Davis and Figurato,
featured bout at 185 pounds.
Roman Coppulov taking on the surging,
Taba Gautier.
Then at lightweight,
should be a heater.
King Green versus Esteban Riebevich
and the opening main card bout
as of right the second
is Chaos Williams
welcoming Roberto Soldich
to the UFC
and to the hallowed octagon.
So that is your main card.
prelims, we have Mick Parkin
versus Johnny Walker,
Alden Korea versus Iminal Rodriguez,
Damien Pinos versus
Andre Pulaev, Cort McGee, and his final fight taking on Eric Nolan, Marvin Vittori versus
Ishmael Nardiev, Alexander Hernandez, taking on Rafael de Sanjos, the former UFC
Lightway champion, Marcus McGee versus Bernardo Suppai, Anthony Wint, taking on the newcomer,
Lucas Armand. And opening up the action right now is the newest fight on the lineup.
It is Jacoby Smith versus Bruce Whitehead.
And Bruce Whitehead is making his UFC debut.
Winner of two of his last three coming off of the first round finish over Ali Abuselam at Fury FC 124.
Boy, just happened.
48 seconds.
So taking this fight essentially on two weeks notice.
And boy, what an ask that is to take on a guy like Jacobi Smith.
Holy crap.
So that fight probably won't go well, but who knows?
Maybe Bruce becomes the next Ethan Ewing.
How about that?
29 years of age.
So that is, these gentlemen.
Oh, that is the UFC 332 lineup.
Jose Youngs will be there, boots on the ground in Salt Lake City,
and he'll have a lot of stuff coming your way from what I understand.
And on top of that, it is a normal fight week.
So media day on Wednesday, press conference on Thursday.
It looks like the entire main card will be there for the press conference.
I don't know how anyone's going to feel about that.
But that is the plan as of right now.
And then Wayans Friday, we'll have a preview show on Friday as well.
And then Saturday, we do the damn thing like we always do.
You know, people like to pick and choose their events.
They do preview and post shows.
Not us.
We are here for every single one with the same programming.
So Saturday we'll have the people's pre-fight show.
45 minutes for the first fight begins.
We will have a watch party.
And if you're around for 331, you know nobody has more fun watching fights than MMA fighting.
More specifically myself and Jed.
So that's happening in a live on to the next one on Sunday.
It'll be an action-packed week for UFC 332.
Until then, everybody, I'm Mike Heck.
We'll see you next week live for another edition of On to the next one, the podcast.
We're out of here.
Thank you.
