And with it, a long-standing combat rivalry writes its next chapter. The UFC middleweight title is on the line in a rematch as Alex Pereira defends his title for the first time and looks to put former champion Israel Adasanya behind him for good in the main event. In the co-mate event, Gilbert Torreño Burns tries to get back into title contention. But to do that, he will need to spoil the homecoming of the BMF champion in Miami's own Jorge Cambred, Mosvedal. banger right now. They are beating six shades of caca out of each other. That is a fun 10 minutes. Where are the live odds at right now on that fight? So there was the accidental clash of heads. Right now, Kelvin Gasol minus 285, Chris Curtis plus 225. I don't know if the judges are going to

recognize the accidental clash of heads. We saw Chris Curtis go down there. That could be big for the scorecards. It could be 2O Kelvin Gasolm. But I think the finish could be live in round three. I mean, these these dudes are chucking them. It is a good fight. Normally we don't get to talk about the featured prelim.

I had a feeling these guys were going to make it. I had a feeling these guys were going to make it both incredibly tough. I mean, they're delivering. This is definitely the fight that has delivered the most, in my opinion, so far. Yeah, and right before that was Luana Pinero and Michelle Waters and Gomez, another great fight. Nah, no, I would not say he's a middleweighty, middleweight. Excited to see him. I would love to see him go up against a really dangerous striker. Yeah, I wonder, maybe throwing him in there with Bruno Silva. That'd be a lot of fun. Yeah, man, what was going on with Bruno Silva that one night against Gerald Mearshart? He just got, he got rolled. Gerald Mirashart did not have it tonight.

I think that, I thought they were hoping for a Toronto, maybe a Montreal, maybe a Calgary, somewhere there. The guy, Vancouver, beautiful city, West Coast Canadians, got to love it. Don't know if they're that hyped about the main event. Don't know. Don't really know if we need it. Manonunia is minus 700 in the trilogy fight.

I mean, what if they just got there and it's like another 50-44? It's probably what's going to happen. I mean, to Julianne Appain is crap. If I lived in Vancouver and, like, we had been fighting to get a Canadian pay-per-view back, and that was the main event, I'd be pretty disappointed, especially because it's going to be sandwiched in between 288, which is Aljima Sirling, Henry Sehudo, Charles Overeb and Hill-Therry Ush,

bangers, like, I cannot wait for that card. And then 290, which is going to be stacked to the brim, and then you're getting your card in the in-between. Would not be incredibly excited about it. I wonder if we're getting two July pay-per-views. Because I know they're going back to London, but for when I understand, that's not going to be paper-view?

If we get two July pay-per-views, will that be 14 paper-views this year? Yeah, yes, because we got two in March and then what I think, it seems like we're going to do two in July, but not real sure. But at least they're doing a little more traveling. We're getting out of the apex a little bit more. Yes, which I do love. So beautiful Kansas City next week, and then, well, back to the apex for two more cards after that.

And then it's Newark and then it's Charlotte, North Carolina. What are the odds on that one? Kevin Holland by KOTKO plus 150. I thought it would be a little higher than that. I kind of did too. But the chat has spoken, and we will ride with the chat. Okay. And they haven't let us down very much.

No, I'm going to fully trust them here. Ponsonibio, I suppose he is aging a little bit. Kevin Holland, I feel good about the KOTKL prop. Kevin Holland's kind of a guy that he's sort of killer be killed, you know? I feel like if Kevin wins, that's how he's going to win. Yes. I feel like the longer the fight goes, the more it favors Ponzi scheme. I like the idea of that.

What fight on the main card are you most looking forward to? I mean, I mean, the main and co-main event I'm intrigued by in totally different ways. I love the Yana's Fawn fight. It's so good.

Dude, when I say, I can't wait for that. I think we can have very similar vibes to the gas, him Curtis one. I think that could be a 15-minute war. Two fantastic strikers. Rob Fon's talking about maybe using the wrestling, maybe going for a submission. I don't know. I could see these guys just swinging it out and it being incredible. I mean, Rob Fon, he's been dropped a lot in his last two fights, but he's, dude, he's got a chin.

Like, never been knocked out. You've got to put the man fully out. So that could end up being a fantastic 15-minute affair. It's just a lot, like the level of competition is, it's night and day. And that's the thing that I can't get out of my mind is Jan is super talented. And if he wins this fight, then, like, kudos to him. But Fawn has just fought everybody. He's fought the murderers row in this division for years from, you know, starting back to, like, his first handful of UFC fights, fighting John Lineker in Brazil. And then fighting Hafeola, the sons of the world where in the Munoz's of the world and all those guys on the way up. And now going from that Ricky Simone, like, how good has that win aged?

Oh, my gosh, dude. Ricky Simone fights for a few weeks. How good has that win aged? Oh, man. And now we go up and up in Jose Aldo, Marlon Vera, where he did great in those two fights. Like, he got dropped, but he did very well. Like, the stats numbers and those two fights are just unbelievable to look at because fun like doubles or triples up both guys in both fights.

And really the only reason that he's been losing is because of his, he's been getting dropped. Yeah. If he can avoid the power bunches of Yannes, which that could be a path to victory for Yannes. It could be very similar to the last two fights where he gets outstruck by 80 strikes, but he drops font two times along the way and picks up two rounds. I mean, that could very well happen. I mean, he's a huge power puncher. Has a ton of knockouts in his career.

Love that fight. The co-main event, very interesting. We got Gilbert Burns versus Jorge Mazadol. This is the fight where, and I feel like, I feel like with any of these picks in the main card, especially the last two fights, you're going to look foolish either way. Because the way I've looked at it is that the betting lines

in the Gilbert Burns-Horhe Mazadol fight, it's just unfairly wide that Mazadol should not be as big of an underdog as he is. Like this fight on paper is more competitive than the betting odds suggests. Like this is not an 80% kind of a fight for Gilbert Burns. I just don't think it's that case. I don't think Gilbert is Colby.

He's not Oosman with the wrestling. He's not going to sit there and shoot 25 takedowns in this fight. Could he get Mazadol to the ground? Sure. But Mazadol is a very good defensive grappler. He's actually a pretty good defensive wrestler overall, and he's a very good defensive fighter overall. The issue I have is if this fight goes down the stretch,

yes, he could fade. But Mazadol, in this building with the reception he's going to get, he's going to come out throwing absolute heaters. And I feel like stylistically, if Burns tries to take him down early, he's not going to have a ton of success. So to me, this fight's going to play out a lot on the feet. And you just can't make a case where Mazadol has no chance of winning a stand-up battle with Gilbert.

It's not saying Gilbert can't win that, but you can't say that if this fight plays out on the feed, for most of it, that Gilbert Burns is 80% likely to win. Everything you just said, I completely agree with. That if it's a minus 110, minus 110 fight, you're bringing out the bankroll on Gilbert Burns, no doubt. plus 380 for Jorge Mazvedal, especially if it stays standing. I really do think he has a better chance. So I think he's going to win. I would say it's on the less likely side,

but I do think he does have a chance, especially with the way that this crowd is going to react in Miami. Like, I really think this is going to be a hero's welcome for Jorge Mazvedal. He's not going to go outside. He is going to come out swinging. And I think he's going to, you know, be tough for Gilbert. And like you said, the later it goes, the more I probably favorite Gilbert. Burns, but I'm excited for that one.

I mean, the dream is alive. I'm paying the price of entry by betting on Jorge Mazel. Just to have the dream alive for a minute, the King of Miami, you know, gets a knockout. If he wobbles Gilbert, Frank, you're going to have to be watching the faders because I'm, I'm going to scream. I'm going to scream loud if it happens. Like, we're, I'm going to raise it up an octave. We're living for a dream at that moment.

But, yeah, I can't wait for that one. Just, if not just to see the scenes of Jorge getting. this co-main event in Miami. I mean, the dude, his first professional fight was what? 15 years ago? 20 years ago? Mazadols?

Yeah. 03? Yeah. Like, it's been 20 years. And, like, now he's getting a UFC co-main event in Miami. I talked to a man, Tony Colada Good.

He may join the show later. He's there. He is from Miami. And he says that the fans are going to go absolutely bananas for him when he shows up. Here comes this Girada, Sanya.

Yeah, I can't wait for this main event, dude. So before we got on, you spoke so eloquently for like three minutes straight about the dream scenario about how this entire card plays. I did. I did break down. Do we want to put this out into the universe and hope for the good juju,

or do you think this could jinx it? Okay, all right, let's recap. But we've already gotten the most brilliant start. I mean, that is exactly what we expected. I said, okay, we're going to go on to the air at 945. Kelvin Gaslam and Chris Curtis will be entering the second or the third round in an absolute firefight. Neither of the guys are going to go out. That's exactly what happened.

That's where we're at. Now, I veered off from where you normally are, but this is where I went. I say, Christian Rodriguez comes out here, upsets Raoul Rosas, the 18-year-old, the man with all this hype behind him. He upsets, shocks the world. Christian Rodriguez puts his name on the map. Shout out to Anthony Pettis. We go to the Comain. No, we go to the second fight of the night.

Kevin Holland, Santiago Ponson, Nibio, absolute Barnburner, ends up with someone getting finished. Now because of the chat bet, we know that it's going to be Kevin Holland by KOTKO. That's going to be a fantastic fight. Then we go to fight three. Decision, 15 minutes, Rob Fon, Adrian Yannes, back and forth the entire way. Super close contested decision. Someone wins clearly 29, 28, one of the ways. Co-Mane event.

Crowd goes crazy as Jorge Molle Molle. Masvedol enters the octagon. I have chills. We go to me and we zoom in on my arm. I have actual goosebumps. You're like, wow, this is really getting crazy. And it comes out. He's doing the whole smirks, everything like that. Firefight the entire first round. It never goes to the mat. It's just a back and forth. Oh, man, both of them get wobbled at one point. I mean, it's absolutely crazy. We go to round two, about two minutes left in the round. Gilbert Burns is having a ton of success in round two. And then out of nowhere, spinning back fist from Jorge Mosvidal. Oh, Gilbert's rocked. He's wobbled. He's wobbled. Gets him up against the fence. Jorge Mazvedos teeing off. The arena is going absolutely crazy. No one can believe what we're seeing. Jorge Mazvado is he going to get a title shot against Leon Rocky Edwards at this point?

In steps Frank's favorite, Mark Goddard, to break it up. Calls the fight off. There it is. Jorge Mazadol struts across a hero's reception. Everyone throwing roses into the Octagon. It's an absolute scene. He cuts the promo of all promos. Now Kobe Covington title shot in doubt.

Why are they showing this parley if Curtis already lost? That is a great question. Wow. That's a great question by Frank. This is the best in the business. I mean, this is unbelievable, man. Wow. I'm over here writing the story of a lifetime,

and we're asking about why are we showing? People, uh, they throw an underdog parlay up on, if you're not watching, they just threw an underdog parlay. Unbelievable. Up on the screen, and Chris Curtis at plus 110 was one of them. I did see that. I did see that. It was just won.

But you just laid out a great scenario. We get to the main event, Israel, out of Sonia, wins in round three. There it is. Well, it also be kind of hilarious. is that Joe Rogan asked Jorge Mazat all about the title situation, and then Dana White comes in and says, no, you're not allowed to ask that. It's about the fight.

It's about these two guys, okay? Come on, guys. What do you guys want to talk about? Come on. So because I said all that, none of it's going to happen. None of it's going to happen. Yes.

I couldn't predict a fight to save my life in 2020. I feel like a lot of things you said could happen. I don't feel like what we're about to see is going to happen. You're very, very confident, Ravel Rowe. I think Rowe was going to run, just run him over. I don't know. I don't know. Look, here's the thing.

The UFC matchmakers, they do a very, are they great at just developing talents as a whole? They're very, they're solid. But when they pinpoint certain talents that they want to push, they are as good as it gets when it comes to putting the right matchups together. Joe Pfeiffer. We saw it earlier. I feel like they want to push Joe Pfeiffer. We all thought that fight could have been very competitive.

The matchmakers are like, Pfeiffer's going to kill him. And he killed him. And he killed him. As a Gerald Mir Sharpe better, that is not a dog that fought for my money. It was over and over quick. Right. And I feel like that's kind of how this fight's going to be. Now, do I think it could get a little reckless and a little crazy at times?

Yes, that's why I'm picking Rose's second round submission. I think he calms down a little bit. But Rodriguez is a good scramblers, good grappler. He's a fun fighter. Just the weight miss kind of rubs me the wrong way. And I actually thought this fight was going to be very, very competitive. Um, all not competitive, at least fun for a while before roses got the job done. But after the weight miss and everything, I was just like, eh, maybe I was wrong about that.

Okay. Rouse can get him, but we'll see. All right. We'll go ahead. We'll see. I got no action on this fight. You've got no action on this fight. We can just kind of, a gentleman's wager of nothing, bragging rights. I like it.

And then he got punched in the face real hard. And that was it. I mean, if we go back, I think it was it was late round one or early round two. We had a very similar exchange. Alex was flurrying. He had him in trouble on the cage. He started to plant his feet. He started throwing.

And Izzy showed up and fired back. Like, it was clear. He was looking for that. He was looking for that shot. And he got it. Oh, he's killing the media now. He's killing. Oscar Ross.

I mean, bro, dude. But this man got, dude, he got a lot of hate this week. I would be doing the same exact thing. No, nothing? He got no hate. He got some. But the hate that he got, like, I'm sure he didn't. take that too seriously.

I mean, I think pretty much everybody on our staff picked Izzy, despite all of that. Is there a better winner than Israel about the actual breakdown? I'm just talking about like just people hating on him. You know, we talk about some of the good losers in MMA, but who's a better winner than Israel?

When he wins, it's a goddamn celebration. Like the dude is dancing out of the arena right now. He also doesn't lose that much. So he's probably, he's probably had reps. but God, when he celebrates, he really celebrates. And any narrative negative that you put out there, winning changes at all. And that's what you did. And when you win like that.

That was crazy. Wow. That was crazy. That was wild. What a way to end it. What a way to end. They're so perfect for each other, too. They're so perfect for each other.

I mean, we're going to see a third one in the UFC. There's no doubt. They're so perfect for each other. You got guys like, you know, Canineer and Vatori and guys who all their great fighters and their top of the middleweight division are just not going to be able to push Izzy in that way. They're not going to be able to get them to this level.

This is the first time in a minute that Hamzaa Chamaev is like, yo, I want next. And I'm kind of like, maybe not. Like, I don't know if I need to. Like, I don't think we need that. Could you imagine if they do this trilogy in M.M.A. within like a 365 day span and like each fight delivers. Like, it's a third fight was incredible.

Like, this could just like, they could just close a chapter on this. If they do it before the years out as just like, One of the best just like rivalries, trilogies. Like they could really do this perfectly if the third fight goes well. Yeah. It's like the one that I've pointed to many times. Like, I don't love the immediate rematch, but when you've got Figurato and Moreno, you do it. When you've got Izzy and Alex, you do it.

This is the situation where you do it. You just let them run it. I'm with you. That was crazy, dude. I need to watch that replay like 18 times. So crazy. I mean, dude, he's, he is taking, like, he, like, ate some big shots, man. That looked, that first one that they showed looked like the exchange in the early second round or late first.

They're showing the replay right now. When he starts covering up and he eats the knee and then he eats a big left hand and then that's when he reacts. Like, I thought it was done for him, bro. I love that both the fights delivered so well. Both the fights delivered, like, insane moments. Awesome. Awesome. Yep. And there's Berns and Mazadol. Kind of the low spot of the main card, I guess, if we're being honest. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm okay with Jorge getting one in Miami as like, okay, you know.

I mean, of course, yeah. You can't blame the booking, but, like, the fight kind of stunk. Yeah. I'm putting more on Gilbert than I am on Jorge. I'm putting something on Jorge there. Gilbert had him dead to rights in round three. Legit. How much better would it have been in how he got the finish?

I was hoping for like a little bit of fight out of Jorge. Yeah. I just don't think there's as much himself. He just didn't have it in him. It's just not there anymore. Yeah, yeah. I mean, he admitted as much. And I agree.

I think that's the perfect time to hang it up. Yeah. It's not like he was going to get on some great winning streak or anything. So just do it in front of the Miami crowd. Yeah. God, I would have loved to see Jorge versus Leon, man. I would have loved that fight. Yeah.

Alas. Now we get the fight that the UFC all wants and the whole world apparently wants. The real king of Miami. The real king of Miami, Colby Covington, for the title. Maybe that'll go down in July. Who knows? Maybe that'll be the main event for International Fight Week. God, Izzy's just back like he never left, right?

Like he's the kid, like, what's, like, he's probably bad. He's probably in a better spot now. Dude, if he, if they do a trilogy and he beats Alex again, it's just like that first one was just a hiccup. It was just a bump in the road. I think you're right, Mike. Because if he won that first fight against Alex, the narrative would have been they rushed them and he was never that good. Alex sucks. Like, Alex was just a manufactured product of the UFC.

The fact that he won it and then is he got the revenge, I think let people know Alex is legit. And now it means even more. Like, I think he's actually elevated. Yeah. Yeah, he's just over in a much bigger way now. He slayed the beast. Like, it made... Wow.

Just made the story much more compelling that he got beat, he got stopped. There's still questions whether the stoppage was early or not. And then he goes and just colds him. Coles him, bro.
