G.C. G.C. I got to tell you, those prelims were electric. What we just saw from Robbie Lawler was unbelievable. Electric. If this is the table setter, what we're about to see on this main card, I have immaculate vibes, Mike.

I just said to you. I mean, first of all, you said I'm a legend. I am not a legend. Robbie Lawler is a legend. A fucking. Legend. That knockout was unbelievable. You rarely see that with retirement. I cannot believe that it happened. First round took no damage. They have the career recap video ready to go. He's getting emotional as we're watching it. I mean, like, I'm on a high after that. It was incredible. And I said to you, I was like, those prelims were pretty great. And like to cap it off with the Robbie Lauer knockout, like this is shaping up to be a pretty nice card. Like, obviously we're knocking on wood. We're knocking on anything we've got here just to be careful. But this is shaping up as a good card. And I'm really, really excited for this main card. The conversation for best retirement in the history of M.A. is over. It's Robbie Waller. That is as good as it gets. I mean, look, Amanda Nunes, her retirement was really, really positive. It was great. We didn't see it coming, so it had a different feeling.

I was going to separate the categories into going into the fight, you know this is the final time. Like, when he got in, he stood for a second, took in the moment and was like, this is the final fight as opposed to sometimes, like, we don't know that they're going to retire and they, take off the gloves and they announce their retirement. Yeah, this just felt different because, you know, 41-year-old guy kind of turned back the clock. It was just very positive in nature. He was treated like the legend that he is all week, got the Hall of Fame speech for the fight with Roy McDonald. And just going in 38 seconds, hockey fight in Nico Price, putting him down and out, throws his arms up in victory, was stoic. And then the UFC plays him this highlight. whistle reel of the legendary moments of his career, and the mostly emotionless Robbie Loller

got emotional. Tears are shed and started crying. That is a Robbie Lollah we never see. It was just, it was a beautiful moment. It was a beautiful thing. I mean, because you're always weary going into these retirement fights, especially when they're getting up there in age. He's 41 years old. He wasn't the favorite going into this fight. He had lost what, five of his last six? Something like that. He wasn't on a good run. You're worried that you're going to see the knockout or, you know, a brutal decision loss and that's the last image that you have of them. To see that, I mean, it's incredible. I'm looking at it right now. The bug. Knockout, round one, 38 seconds. It's a thing of beauty. I mean, it's amazing, an amazing way. Normally, I'm, like, a bit annoyed when we have to come on and the fight is long over and we don't get to kind of react to that featured person. pre-lemon, we got a carry for 30 minutes into the first fight. This time I'm happy to do it. This time, it's easy with what Robbie Lala did.

Do you remember when we were sitting in these chairs in January and we had to start the show? Do you remember what happened? I'm trying to think. 283. 283. There was a retirement fight. It wasn't Frank Yeager, wasn't it?

No, that was 281? Yeah. I don't know. What was? Shogun. Oh, yes. Oh, an Ihor, Petria. It's my E.

The door. Actually, we've had to watch... This is the third time. Because we had to do the Frankie Edgar. Who else did we see? Mazvedal. Yeah. So this would be the fifth total.

This is the fourth this year. So we had Shogun, Mazzadol, Mazzadol, Nunes, and Lola. Nunes, okay. The Nunes one was fine, though. Yeah. Which one was the worst? Frankie Edgar, Chris Gerez. Oh, Frankie was the worst.

That was bad. Kristen King. Shogun was bad, too. Shogun was bad, too. Yeah. We were alive for the Frankie one. That was a tough one. We also kind of saw that one coming to.

There's a picture out right now of the, from the broadcast. It may have been connoisseur of combat, I think, that tweeted it out. But it's just Robbie Lawler with his hands up, walking away, and the ref is coming in to stop the fight. It is like, it is glorious. The cliche hanging in the Louvre type thing, literally, we should get France on the phone and get them to hang that in the Louvre. I'm just so, like, D.C. said it best. We're not supposed to root for things to happen.

We're supposed to have our journalistic integrity, if you will. We're right down the middle. Love how you put that in quotes. But I mean, there's certain moments where it's just like, I don't care. Even on the pre-fight show, I was like, even if I think Robbie Lollah was going to lose, I was like, if Robbie Lollah was fighting 10 Francis and Ghanu's at the same time tonight, I'm still picking Robbie Loller by first round knockout. That's my official pick.

And you would have been right. You would have been right. I mean, unless you're, unless you were, and it's nothing against Nico Price, unless you're a family member of a very close friend or, you know, a training partner of Nico Price, or you're just a Nico Price fan, you were cheering for Robbie Lollah tonight. I mean, it was hard not to. Unless you don't have a soul, like if you don't, I mean, if you're Nico Price or his team or his family, they probably weren't cheering for Robby Lollar. That's what I'm saying. I even think, though, I didn't think Nico Price deep down was, yeah, you feel like deep down Nico Price is like, if I had to lose, I'm glad it was that one. Yeah, he probably saw it as like.

a win-win situation. Either I beat Robbie Loller or Robbie Laller beats me and he gets the cool moment and he's probably happy to be a part of it. Yes. Rest of the prelims, we had Esteban Rebovich kicking off the main card, wins a unanimous decision. Great fight. Great fight. Good solid scrap. And then we had a 17 second knockout from Jesus Aguilar. I've seen the highlights, obviously, but I completely missed it. I stepped away for two seconds and it was over. That was one of the most ruthless knockouts you will see at 125. I was going to say at 125.

And it was like the body go limp, fallback type deal. Yeah, incredible. Incredible. It was like Nate Corey taking the spill after Rich Franklin knocked them out. It was really bad. Shannon Ross, 0 and 2 in the UFC, not great. And then the next fight, Cameron Simon, foulless. No points taken, not an eye to be poked.

Just three minutes and 10 seconds. Beats up Terran Central. Easy money, easy, breezy performance. Kind of felt that one was coming. called out Cody Garbrand. I love the idea. Cody's book is going to be fighting in Boston. Alaska FC vets. Yeah.

Always a little bit of trouble there. Yes. Good stuff from Cameron Simon. Vitor Petrino, little arm triangle sub in round three against Marcheem Pratcheo. And then things got cooking, especially on the betting side. Oh, my God. So let me paint the picture here. We're watching Alonzo Meadowfield versus Jimmy Crude.

And just before this fight is starting, I'm telling GC Highlist and No Bet Spard. He's like, I picked the under two and a half in the first fight, and I felt let down. I felt like my heart was broken, so you know what? I'm just going to go ahead and do it again. I'm a beat man. If you've watched these watch parties,

if this is not your first one and you watch 284, I guess we weren't. I can't remember if that fight was on the main card or not. Either way, my soul definitely took. Alonzo Menofield and Jimmy Crute took a piece of my soul that night, how close they got to finishes over and over and over, and cost me money. I went right back to the well.

It was my redemption story. This was my LeBron looking up moment. And man, dude, for a minute, that looked. I mean, I was sitting here. I was just like, I've done it again. I'm going to double down on these guys to finish, and they're going to go to a decision both times. And then the gilly from God,

the gilly out of nowhere, from the heavens. Alonzo Menafield with the guillotine. I mean, absolutely beautiful. Saved me. It was, yeah, it was like the LeBron moment. We're watching the first round, and they're just against the fence, clinching, going back and forth.

Doing just the switching, it was just the dance, and I was having PTSD moments because I was like, this is not even how the first fight went. Like, they almost finished the first fight like 17 different times. This, they're just going to clinch, and, like, Jimmy Crew, like, testing the range. Like, it was just like, he's 10 feet away

and he's just testing the range with the jab. It's just like, please, like, you've got to get closer. And it was like I had almost accepted my fate, and then the guillotine, the guillotine came out of nowhere. I mean, we were sitting here. I was like, I think we're dead. I think we're dead.

And then he nails the gilly and you're good. And just what do you think? Things can't get any better for you. You said right after that. He was like, I think that just set the tone for betting for the evening. And it took 20 seconds. 20 seconds.

In the next fight, Denise Gomes, as a massive underdog against Yasmin Yarrigee, Hadeghi, is how we pronounce it, actually. She was in our top five for rookie of the year last year for MAPFiting.com. and Deniseie Gobs

I tell you the way she's gonna fight for your money and she's only needed 20 seconds plus 375 just wanted her to fight for my money a little bit gets the knockout I mean you saw how crazy I went I mean that was like a sprint out into the hallway

type finish one of the more satisfying UFC bets I've ever had a huge underdog like that cashing in 20 seconds that was that was definitely satisfying to watch sometimes you have to sweat it out like the meta field fight and sometimes

it just there's no sweat at all I had the sweat out of like a minus 1,000 in Tutsu-O-Tyrra. Speaking of minus a thousand. Yeah, exactly. Connor, can you meet Joe by the door? Oh, yeah, sure, sure, sure. Oh, okay. Mike, you just carry us through it.

This is minus a thousand. Yes, so Connor had a lot on the line with Tatsuro Tira, some parlays and everything like that. When this fight hit the mat, it was all Tetsuro Tira. It was just nothing but domination. Yeah, it's a real production here. Edgar Chiraz had his moments where he hurt Tetsuro Tartara. It was getting ugly. It was getting a little scary,

especially in that third round, but Tyra's able to get it back to the ground, gets control. Chira's tough, wily veteran, hangs on, makes it to the cards, and Tetsu, Retire remains undefeated, climbs to 14 and O. And then Robbie Freakin' Lawler,

doing Robbie Freak and Lawler things. Just incredible stuff. G.C. is back. Hello, G.C. Just a little mic difficulties there. Shout out to Frank. I think we're good now. I got a little tape on my back, got the mic sticking good.

I look good, I feel good, I sound good. All right, we're back. Yeah, Tatsuro Tire, a little bit too much of a sweat there. But gets it done nonetheless. There's a, they're doing the promo here with the great Ron Perlman in the background doing the cold open. UFCX. One of the one of the best voices in all of sports. Unbelievable.

And all of narration. Yeah. I mean, it just gets you hype. I thought it was going to go from like cashing a huge underneath. underdog and Denise Gomes to losing on a like massive disgusting favorite that I never should have put in a parlay the very next fight.

And but it paid, you know, it worked out, it worked out. Also, anybody on Volk tonight? We go once again into the fray, the T-shirt curse. We put it on the line, so go ahead and rip up those tickets now, everyone. Hopefully that doesn't happen,

So Main Card's about to kickoff, Bo Nickel against Val Woodburn. Let me ask you this question, okay? Obviously, let me run down the rest of the main car. We have Dan Hooker versus Jalen Turner. Obviously, Jalen Turner missed weight, so there's some questions there. The Jed Michoud special, Robert Whitaker versus Drickus Duplice.

Then we have the co-main event. Jed will actually join us for Brandon Moreno versus Alexander Pantosia for the flyway title. Main event, the shirt, Alexander Volcanowski, the featherweight champion taking on the interim champ. Yaya Rodriguez. I've said this many times. This fight, to me, is the best fight on the books. As of right now, the official fight. I know John Jones-Stepe just got announced,

but this one just rules to me because I have no idea what's going to happen. But mentioned Bo Neckle versus Val Woodburn. For a minute, Bo Neckle was the biggest favorite in UFC history. The line has been cut down quite a bit on Val Woodburn, although not a lot of people expect him to win. Very few people are expecting Drickis Duplice to win this fight.

So, Shaheen Al-Shadi posed this question on the preview show that I wanted to ask you. And Frank, you can chime in on this as well. Always. What would be the more surprising result? Drick is Duplice beating Robert Whitaker or Val Woodburn beating Boe Nickel. Val beating...

Yeah, yeah, Val. You think so? I mean... What if... Let me raise it. What if DDP goes out and just 3026 is Robert Whitaker? Still, Val, beating Bo. 30...

The 3026 would be more shocking. But then, like, we would just chalk it all up to 8% oxygen and the nostril being cleared. But still the Vowal beating Bo. It's just like the hype and like the expectations that I have set for Bo right now while he's fighting these up-and-comers while he's trying to work his way

into making ranked fights, I just like, unless he slips on a banana peel, I just feel like he's gonna go out there. He's going to take him down and he's going to submit him or TKO him on the ground and like that's gonna be that. I mean, the dude is taking the fight

on three days notice and, I mean, he said he's not afraid of Bo Nichols wrestling and like, that just isn't a wise thing to say. This is a three-time national champion. This is an all-time collegiate wrestler.

Like, he has all the skills to do it. I would be floor, dude. Like, my jaw, I'm going to have to pick my job off the ground if Val Woodburn picks this up. Trigis 2 plus C on the other side. Like, he is a 19 and 2 fighter. He is a KSW champion.

Like, yes, his style may not be aesthetically pleasing to most. And, like, he looks like a gas bag sometimes while he's doing it. But he is doing it. He is undefeated in the UFC. He is picking up wins against Derek Brunson, Darynton, Derintill. Yes, I know they're older. But he's still picking up wins. And, I mean, he went the distance against Brad Tvaris.

And, like, he looked pretty impressive doing so. So, like, if he comes out here and, like, he's able to sustain cardio, he's able to hurt Robert Whitaker in moments. Like, I mean, on the violence side, like, I favor DDP, like, the threat of a finish. Like, I think, I think DDP has more upside there. Like, he's such a chaotic fighter. If he wins, I'll still be surprised, but I won't be like, I am stunned type deal. Like, if Val Woodburn pulls this off tonight, like, his career just skyrocketed. Like, just off that one alone, how many more UFC fights will he get?

Three, four? Like, yeah, long story short, I save the Val Woodburn fight. It's just wild. This is even a discussion. Like, it turns into somewhat of a conversation we have to kind of think about it, which is crazy to think about with Bo Nickel, who's 4 and O, and Val Woodburn, who's 7 and O. And then we're talking about the number five ranked middleweight fighting the number two ranked

to middle weight. and the shock factor going on on both those fights is just wild to think about that. I also feel like, like, DDP, for his fighting style, I feel like most people don't expect him to win. And so when he does win, like, it kind of annoys him. Because, like, he does get a decent amount of hate online.

But, I mean, like, he's still, like, a really good fighter. Yes. He's super fun to watch. Always entertaining fights. I think I'm annoyed by this fight because it shouldn't be happening. Like, DDP should just be fighting for the... title right now. They should have just mixed this whole middleweight stew up

and could have done Strickland versus Whitaker on this card. That would have made a lot more sense like Abu Smaga made off. It turned, I mean, it actually turned to be kind of a smart thing because Strickland got a showcase performance and I think the UFC probably knew it that this is how that fight was going to

play out. And the way this fight between DDP and Whitaker was presented was the winner's going to turn around and fight Izzy in two months, which I don't know if that's happening. And if it doesn't, you got Sean Strickland ready to go. So it's kind of like a win-win situation for the UFC. Either you get DDP in there, we get the rivalry,

and it's going to get uncomfortable, and that's what the UFC loves. Or we get Sean Strickland in there. We get the rivalry. It's going to get it very uncomfortable, and that's what the UFC loves. Or we get Bobby Knuckles, and it'll be a fight that we've seen twice already between the two best middle weights in the world. In my opinion, it's DDP wins he gets the next title shot, or Robert Whitaker wins and Sean Strickland fights as in Australia.

If Whitaker finishes the ADP, you feel the same way? I feel yeah. All right. Just how good Sean Strickland looked, and we've seen the Whitaker fight twice already, and it is two months away at this point. I feel like they would just have him fight Strickland. Yeah.

There is the rivalry there. Like, there is a storyline. They've had beef in the past at what? Last year's International Fight Week Press conference. the lead-up would be ridiculous, them too, going at it. So I wouldn't mind that. I think any outcome's going to be good. Whoever fights Izzy next, I think it's going to be interesting.

I think it'll be exciting. The plan is just to get Izzy on that card. I think Izzy probably beats both of them. Yeah. All right, so they're showing Vogue right now, still has the Band-Aid on. Jamal Murray in the back. Jamal Murray, NBA champion Jamal Murray pulling up.

Like, they are boys, boys. They got pictures of them in private jets. That is sick. That's incredible. What do we think of this? What do we think? Do we think stitches? Do we think staff?

Do we think ringworm? Do we think it's all a ruse? It's just mind games. Do we think Nelly inspired? He thinks it looks cool. And lastly, where did he get the UFC championship belt band-aid? I love it. Because I need a couple of those.

I get boos every once in a while. What I would love to see is that during the final face-off, he just rips the band-aid off, and it's a tattoo of the band-aid with the belt on it. want him to rip it off and there just be nothing there and just be like yeah thought it looked cool dude thought it looked cool it's a little concerning that like it's i guess not a little concerning because like at worst it's like a small cut like a laceration that'll just get opened up and like it's not like volkenovsky's not going to fight through a cut like that uh but yeah i am curious to see what it is because like obviously he's going to have to take it off before the fight yeah uh yeah you're with an

ultra slow walk there. Just a confident man. He's in no hurry. Sunglasses on so he couldn't see if he had the Megan Anderson eyes, the famous walk. Yeah, I don't know if anybody's going to have those eyes. No, I think he's good to go. I think he's good to go.

I love this fight between Moreno and Pantoches. Nobody's giving it credit. No one's talking about it. It's like the fourth most important fight on people's mind. If you're not talking about this fight, you're crazy. You're crazy. I love this fight. Right now, I think it's like,

what, Brandon Marino, like minus 200 Pantosia plus 175 somewhere in that range. If Alejandra Pantosio walks out to many men by 50 cent, line's going to jump to humans immediately. Oh, I love that. I mean, a man that walks out to many men speaks to your soul. Well, apparently, the stakes are a little bit higher in the main event because you may have seen this. The multiple interviews today at UFCX on Radio Row with Char.

Charles Dubronz-Olivera, first telling Aaron Bronseter of TSA, hopes to fight Islam Machachev, but October, probably not going to happen. He's hoping for November or December. And guess what? Charles Oliver ain't going to get what he wants because Islam-Machachev is absolutely going to fight in October. And one would assume that if Alexander Volcanowski takes care of business tonight and doesn't take a lot of damage, which is very tough to do against the guy like Yahia Rodriguez, He might just get slotted in there to get a second crack at Islam Makachev.

Are you okay with that? Would you be okay with that? Honestly, unless he's going to the hospital on a stretcher after a win, I don't think there's any amount of damage that would stop Volk from going for that belt again. I mean, like, anytime he talks about it now, it's clearly, like, that's what his heart is set on. I mean, he's talking about he doesn't want the belt, he just wants Islam. Like, I think he believes he won that first fight, and I think if he gets another crack, he thinks he will win the sense. second one. I mean, I don't hate it. What I do hate about it, I don't hate it from Volk's angle.

Like, if he comes out here convincingly beats Yair either finishes him or like 49, 46, like clear win for him. Obviously, there's Toporia at 45. So I don't hate it for Volt because he does continue to defend his belt. I do hate it on the Islam side because then he would have two defenses against a 45er, and he will have been a champ for a year. Tim Simpson, Izzy, shout out. There's the back in the building. Of course we got Max Crosby in the back. Shocking development, Max Crosby. Max Crosby's showing up to tough. Max Crosby goes to tough fights. If you guys have been watching this season, he's been in the background. Guy loves the fight game. Absolute mega fan. And.

Before we get going with Bonnet, your thoughts on a potential champ champ fight again? I don't want to see it right now. It doesn't excite me. I'm not going to lie to you. It does not excite me. I would much rather see Volk to Poria. Oh, 100%.

Volk to Poria and then there's going to be other guys. We'll see what Mazurib does next. Winner for you, Gae, but also, I don't know. Like, I would actually prefer Volk fighting one of those guys first. Oh, no, I'm talking about Islam. Yeah, but they're not going to turn around October, so. here's the here's the other name

I'm going to throw out here and you're all going to think I'm insane but you have to understand where I'm coming from here and you have to understand the situation that is going on around him

it would not shock me in the slightest if Jed's favorite lightweight of all time Michael Chandler got a ringy ding ding to get that shot even though he's coming off of a loss because who else is available

you can't give it to Dariuzh do you give it to Sarukyan after that win and do Sarukian versus Makachov too? You know me. I would love that because I'm as highest on Sarukian as anybody else, but I could see Chandler getting that

shot. You could have said way worse names. For like a split second, I was like, is he about to say the Neil Darryush? Oh God, no. No, Chandler, like, how do you make up, if he's not going to fight Connor McGregor, how do you make up for not being able to get the McGregor fight right now?

Here's a title shot against Charles all of arming against Islam Makashov. No, I don't think that's that crazy, dude. Dude, I mean, I'm just trying to think... I thought maybe you were going to say McGregor, too. I was really spinning there. I don't think Chandler's... No, it's only... McGregor does he want to fight Chandler right now, but if

Chandler goes out there and beats Islam and wins the belt... I was going to say, the only way they're doing that fight is if, like, guaranteed McGregor's not fighting. Yeah. And even if he is fighting, like, you can still do both. Like, even if Chandler loses to Islam... Yeah, you can still... Like, I'm saying if it's like, McGregor's not fighting... March.
