I'm failing it. That is the jacked-up G.C. Connor Birx. How are we doing, man? We are... Well, I'm riding on Amanda Lemmo's bet right now. And part of betting against McKenzie Dern is dealing with the McKenzie Dern show, which if it gets to the ground, it gets real sweaty.

but Amanda Lama survived. I like how she's looking on the feet. Got the ears looking all right. I think we're looking pretty good here. I look way taller with these. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know. Yeah, so, I mean, now we've got to touch dicey, but, I mean, I'm feeling great, man.

We come on with a fight. Yes. We've got five incredible fights. The last four are, like, just absolutely incredible. But, I mean, the whole main card is stacked. And we're round two now, in Dern Lemosch. Yes, you get bonus action,

which is very exciting. Round two. Amanda Lemosch, McKenzie Dern, yes, it was the tale of two rounds. I know I was going to say. I'm curious to see how the judges are going to score that one, because obviously Lemoche having all the success

on the feet and then Dern, getting the takedown and, you know, not really doing much damage with it. But I mean, as long as this thing stays on the feet, I like Lemmosh's chances. Yeah, Dern just looks so uncomfortable. But she actually, like, who timed and shot a takedown and landed it,

which you don't really see from McKenzie that often. Yeah, Manilamush looking nice with the striking defense in here. Looking like a... Oh, my God. The legwork is nasty. I mean, she's just getting striped. That cap is... Oh!

Dropped her! Oh, she's swinging like crazy. Oh, my lord. Oh, another big left. Big left, dead! I just bit my tongue. Dirk. What a start.

This is a 10-8. We're sniffing some 10-7 action right now. This is, that was brutal. And now we're on the ground, and the action is slowed up. McKenzie's face is a mess. I mean, she is literally hanging on for dear life. She is holding on for, for, everything she's got. She does not want

Amanda Lemosh to get back up. Yeah. Loj needs to stay, get right back. Oh, man, we got fingers in the cage bad. Oh, yeah. Just cheat. Always shoot. Oh, that right him is nasty. They're showing the replay on the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Boom. So multiple knockdowns in that flurry.

McKenzie trying to perhaps get an arm bar here. I mean, just grabbing the fence. I swear. I swear. If we get a McKenzie Dern's sub here, I'm going to be sick. Yeah. That would be. I mean. I'm going to be sick to my stomach. I would tell her just get up. I would tell her just get up.

But yeah, she's having a hard time moving around. I feel like we're just one big shot away from this fight being over. Lemos moving around now. Enzy Dern does not have much to offer. Oof. Big, big swing and a miss there. She's trying to get her out. Oh, right hand from Lemosh.

Dern continuing just to march forward. Tough, man. About to... Dern's... is a mess. Lemosch keeps switching stances. Dimes just missed a big right hand. Oh, nice shot from the right hand. Dern's just chucking him now.

Going for a takedown? Oh, it does not get it. Lemmush ends up on top. And, yeah, I think that's... I think Dern might actually... survive here? I think so too. This is a 10-8 in my opinion. For sure.

For sure. It could even be worse. This could be a 10-7 round. Two knockdowns, one-way traffic. I'll go 10-8. It's 10-8. Plus now, look. Oh, Dern! Gets a sweep. She's on top. She's got a, I mean, just rain down here. Dern trying to mount. This has been a very good fight. Yeah, dude, super fun.

Super fun fight. Five seconds left. I mean, McKenzie is a tryer. She tries to do this. I mean, she is not a quitter. She is tough as hell. That is for sure. Good end of the round.

And she lets her up. Look at that, man. Look at that. Sportsmanship. Always. And Dern has got her arms in the air. Gotta love it. Tough as hell, man.

Got to love it. All right, let's see. This is very, this is looking like Junior Tafa-ish for a minute. Poor junior. Still looks like a, still was a hero. even though that was... It almost felt like Marcos Ruggiero de Lima was going to give it, you know,

let him at least ride it out a while longer. I mean, that was... Dude, dude can't stand on a leg and DeLima's like, time to shoot for a takedown. Oh, man, GC sweating in under one and a half. It hit by like... It hit by about like 70 seconds,

but, yeah, that was... That was dicey moments there, man. I mean, he had him completely gone on his lead leg and just kept going for takedowns. That knockdown from Lemos was nasty. Oh. That was the one that messed the face up.

That's one where I thought they were just going to step in. Yeah. She just started kicking it all she could. Here we go. Dern's yelling, man. She's hyped up. Yep, crowd on their feet. Any chance Lemos has gassed?

I don't think so. No. So people question her cardio every once in a while. Look at that, hugging it out, starting round three. Lemmosh kind of looks like Volcanofs. when he was fighting zombie. He was just like, all right, I guess we're gonna keep doing this.

Are you sure? All right. Oh, let go down. Slip drop. Whoa, what is this? This is the stairmaster. Oh, pulls guard. This is actually very smart for McKenzie Durk.

Yeah. If I'm lemos, I'm trying to stand up as fast as I can. So is, this is, was that, that was a knockdown, right? Like, would you call that a knockdown? I need to see a replay of it. She was in the middle of a kick.

But McKenzie Dern also punched her. Yeah, she cracked her. And then Lemosch gets a takedown. Uh-oh. Dern trying to do something. I think she's trying to set up like an arm bar or something. She's trying. She's trying.

Ooh, it's getting deeper. But Lemos gets out. Nice job. Oh, now she's got a leg. Okay. A little fence grab. Beltran finally sees it. Fighting McKenzie Dern has to be wildly frustrating.

Not only is she tough as nails, but once you go to the ground with her, she's just grabbing any lemnir. Carlos Vera must have been really tricky to fight for good old Riny Nakamura. That was kind of a tough one to watch. Yeah, there's been a couple ones that haven't been great on this card, but we're ramping it up here.

We're ramping it up. We've picked up the pace. Danny Barlow took a little minute, but that was a good one. That was wild. Min Yang Zhang. Oh, knew that one was going to be great. Crazy knockout.

They are tangled upright. I feel good. Yeah, this is like a, they're in just like a big knot. She's got time here, three minutes. Oh, she's trying to straighten this leg up. If she pulls this off, man. She might. Lemmo's doing a good job defending right now.

Figure, kind of doing like the self-figured four action. Dern is now on top. Let's see what she's do. Yeah, this is dicey as hell for Lemos. Lemos in like her own body lock to not let McKenzie Dern take her leg. Let me make sure I put this elbow right in your face. Yeah. This is...

Who knew that this was the fight of the night frontrunner heading into the main car. I mean, for sure. No doubt. This has been a great one. Lemo's doing a good job making sure that, like, nothing is exposed. She's keeping McKenzie's left leg locked up with her legs because Derrude is trying to mount here,

and she's very, very close with almost two and a half minutes for work. She's got half the round to go, man. This is nuts. Dicey moments for Lemmo's. And who knows what the scorecards are going to look at that? Yeah, the first round is interesting. We could have a little draw here. It's got to get it to the score cards first, though, man.

McKenzie Dernan in a good spot here. I mean, there could be a judge out there that gave Lemosch a 10-9 in round-term. Listen, Rogan's got the feed from us right now. Now he's saying the exact same thing. It's been a lot of that tonight. Feels good, man. It does. It's like a little pat on the back.

Yeah, when Joseph Rogan comes through. Dern's got a minute 45 to make something happen here. I think she... Let's see what the live line says right now. Is a finish. Minus 300 Lemos, so I mean anything could happen on the scorecards at that point. It's very, very close. Let's see if Lemmo should get back to her feet.

She's got her back against the fence. She's trying. Dern not letting her, though. Just staying on top. But this is not going to win her the fight, I don't think. Minute 20? Just staying in half-car. Oh, nice.

There's Mark Ratner with the headset on. Making sure the rules are being followed. Under a minute to go, McKenzie's got to go for broke here. Minus 145, Dern. How? Wow. I am not seeing that.

We're seeing minus 270. Really? It's $270 for Dern. There it is. Look at that. Mine is 270 for Dern. That would be wild. This says draw written all over to me.

I don't know how you... I don't know how you... Oh, I thought Lemos or draw. I thought Lemos won the first round because she did some damage. I thought it was first round and 10-8. Yeah. I would have thought it would have been 2927.

But I can see a world where, like, judges look at what Dern did, controlling her on the ground and keeping her down there. She had gotten some dominance. of positions. Maybe it was enough to steal it, but I just don't see how you cannot... Well, like, she did zero damage like this round. Didn't really do a ton of damage all fight.

I don't see how you... Round two is not a 10-8. I don't know how you justify a 10-9-9-9-9-9-0. It's gonna have a hard time separating, though. I don't like that. I don't like that at all. I mean, Mike Beltran... Oh! Look at the slow-moes of the...

If damage is the number one criteria, than like... Lemosch won the version. It got a teddy in the second. We'll see how this goes. I don't like this. It's going to get real hairy. I don't like that live line either.

I'm okay with the draw here, though. I think draws... It should be a lemos win, but draw would be the only other acceptable scorecard here. A durn win would be tough in my eyes. What do you think, Frank? How'd you say?

Yeah, I'd have a hard time seeing a durn win there. Still think... It should have been a stoppage. I agree. Mike Beltran. Oh, well, I mean, I clearly were wrong, though, because McKenzie Dern came back and fought the rest of the fight. Yeah.

Beltran was just looking for bad damage here. Hey, I mean, Dern survive. Credit Tour. I mean, we're about to take off sprinting. I mean, Fluffy Hernandez and Roman Coppiloff kicking off this main card. Don't trip, man. Dern gets favorable scorecards every once in a while. That's very true.

there you are 2928 i was a i was a touch worried all right yes main card time yeah you said it philiernan is god love i mean let's just go ahead and kick this bad boy off and then marab henry gary gory costa whittaker and then and then i mean you might as well just get right into the main event chatter here volkadovsky versus deporia this fight is a building since ufcc two 90 just waiting for it to get there bulk calls out to poria after he ices up you Rhaer Rodriguez. They have the little face off when Tuporia jumps in the crowd.

There's the press conference moment when Tuporia tries to steal the belt. Then we get to this week. And even before that, Tuporia just overwhelming confidence. Just not even giving Vol credit as a champion. This is going to be an easy fight. I'm 15 and O.

I'm already the champion. I'm not fighting Brian Ortega. I'm not fighting Yair. I ain't fighting any of these guys. I'm going to go fight Connor. All of this stuff from Eulia. And then this week, it feels like all the Vyenne. vibes kind of changed a little bit.

A lot of people were very hard in on Toporia. Volk has kind of swayed some of the public appeal by just how he's been handling himself this week. Old man Volk showing up at the presser. So good. Stealing hearts left and right. This has been one of the more fascinating builds to a title fight than I can remember,

but still flying under the radar in so many other ways. Flying under the radar in terms of like mass appeal too. Like obviously UFC fans are so excited for this But like I had a couple friends I was talking to on the phone today And they were like, so all Volk's fighting today Like but who's this dude he's fighting? I was just like, oh man, he's a stud, he's undefeated He's a beast, they're like oh, is Volk like a big favorite?

I'm like, no, he's like minus 120. They're like, what? So yeah, like I feel like it is flying under the radar In terms of the masses, but I feel like UFC fans They know what they got on their hands here I mean this is one of my most excited fights of 2023 and for a long while. I mean, I cannot wait for this thing.

Not just the fight itself, just how high level it is, but the stakes that are involved with it. I mean, the balance of the featherweight division is in this fight. Like, it's just like, if Volk wins, who does he fight next? Who is there to fight? You know, we're talking about bringing Movesarov in for a title shot.

Eliot Toporia wins. You're probably getting a rematch. If he wins again, then it's just like the featherweight division has the Red Sea as part. and Volk is gone and now Holloway can get a title shot, yeah, he's back in it, you know, Ortega can get one. Stakes on the highest level, and Volk's legacy a bit. Like, you know, say he got knocked out by Teporia,

after the head kick from Makashev, you know, that's a bad taste to leave in your mouth. You know, two fights in a row after the guy dominated for so long. And then he gets finished twice in a row. Losing three of four? Losing three of four. It's wild to think about. to imagine, hard to imagine when going, entering 2023, fuck, even after the Yairir fight, the guy seemed

unbeatable. He went life and death with Mokachev. Some people think he even won that fight, comes in, smokes Yair, and then up until the Islam fight, he felt unbeatable. Say he got finished tonight, it would be like, damn, that is crazy. So the stakes, and then a Tupori, obviously, undefeated. He could remain, he could keep his O and get a belt. Sky's the limit for him. Stakes on 12 million for this fight. If you want to tell someone who doesn't really know about MMA and about how the fans sort of follow and react to things that happen in M.M.A., look no further than Alexander Volkovsky's 2023. Dude loses Islam Makachchev. The talk all year heading into the fall

was Volk's the best fighter in the world he beat Islam Makachev even like most people were still ranking Volk the best pound for pound fighter in the world in a loss oh yeah yeah yeah yeah

he dusts up Yair which a lot of people was like this might be his toughest stylistic matchup perfect games them and then he gets knocked up by Islam in a fight that he took on a little over a week's notice and now it's just like yeah he's a bum he's old what are we doing here

And it's just the mentality surrounding the sport and the revisionist history and the what have you done for me lately mentality of the sport. It's just wild and just look no further than Volk's 2023 to kind of iron out what the fan, like the fan base is like when it comes to this sport. Also, Alexander Volcanowski has never lost a fight at Featherweight. I don't know the exact number, but he's 26 and 3 in his career with a majority of those at Featherweight. of those at Featherweight, and he has never lost at Featherweight before. And if you go back and you just look at his last three performances at Featherweight, Yaiir, Max Holloway 3, Korean Zombie, all three of those were perfect performances. Yep.

Like, just looked unbelievable in all three. You know, he got head kicked by Islam Makashiv, who was arguably the greatest fighter in the world on 10 days' notice, having to travel all the way to Abu Dhabi. you know, you can kind of like excuse that as long as he looks like himself tonight. Volk, I interviewed John Anak heading into this car which I usually do with all the pay reviews. John said it best.

And there's different, they've traveled different roads to get here, but John Anick are like, these are the league leaders and self-belief. But they come at it from totally different. That's a good way to put it. That's a good way to put it. Yeah, because I mean on the flip side, I'll get it to pour you.

Look at his last couple of performances. I mean, the Josh Emmett and the Bryce Mitchell one are just unbelievable. The Josh Emmett performance, I was on like a high afterward. It was like one of those nights in M.A. Where you're just like, that was unbelievable. I cannot believe what I just watched. I was Caged side for that fight. Incredible.

He pitched a perfect game. I was so inspired. I went and got Paella for the first time in my life the day afterward. I was like, that was unbelievable. I ordered an Ilya Toporia sweater. I was like, that was such an unbelievable performance. I got to support this guy. And then you had it, Sergio Ramos was there.

And he's got the look. He's got the tattoos. He's got the family. He talks the talk. He's got the support of Spain behind him. He's trying to bring it to this new country. Like, he has everything of the makings to be a star. So, like, if he wins, then it's like a new star is born in the UFC.

A lot of people playing body language expert in armchair. I never play that. I never play that. that. Have you noticed that, though? I don't do the scales. I don't do any of that. Is there anything about, like, Ili's, because if people think, like, Ilias rattled, he was rattled at the presser. Oh, no. The face off looked different. The presser thing to me, Ilya, like, Ili's a big dude. He's cutting a good amount of weight. And it's, when they do these press conferences, it's literally hours before they have to step the scales. It's fine, man. And I love the face off after the press coverage. I thought I was great.

Nothing of concern. It was just like, hey man. respect you as a man. I respect you as a professional. I'm just chasing my dreams, bro. I'm just chasing my dreams. It was awesome. Everything about,

and that was like the best, that was like one of my favorite press conferences ever. Because it wasn't, nothing weird happened. Like some weird things happened. Volk falling asleep and Costa waking him up. That's hilarious.

It's just fun stuff. It was everything about this week has just been really enjoyable. Yeah. I mean, I think it speaks for like a lot to who's on the card. Alexander Volcanozki, Elliot Toporia,

Robert Whitaker, Powell Ocosta, Marab is great. Henry, like, I mean, he's cringy as hell, but, like, some of the moments are, you know, pretty funny, understandably. Yeah, it's been a great week. I think the main card's about to be fantastic,

and we're going to finish it off with a fight that's going to answer a lot of questions, man. What world is more interesting to you coming out of this fight? Volk trying to cement himself as the greatest featherweight of all time, like the true consensus featherweight, because if he wins, I think you can have the conversation if he wins. If he wins one more, defends it again.

He has the same amount of UFC title defenses as Josealdo. He's got a win over Joe Zaldo and three over Max Holloway. I think the debate ends in anybody's eyes at that point if he beats Ilya and then beats one more. On the flip side, Ilya losing and battling back to finally get to that belt will be an interesting story as well. But if Ilya wins, they can strap the rockets to the space. We can go into different territory, different fights, different challenges. What world to you is more interesting? Volk continuing to cement his featherweight goat hood, if you will, that road, and Ilya

trying to come back and get to that belt? Or Ilya just went in the belt, strapping the rockets to him. Let's freshen things up a little bit. More interesting, I would say, I would say the Elya route. But that doesn't necessarily mean I want that more. Right. It seems more interesting just because the amount of matchups and, like, it will feel like sort of like a star is born.

You now have an undefeated featherweight champion. Like it's always crazy to see a champion with an O next to his name. And the confidence that he has. And that confidence will be proven if he goes in here and beats Alexander Volkinovsky tonight. It will be wild. That's probably the biggest wrinkle in that going that route is because that means Ilya Taboria beat Alexander Volcanowski. which would be insane.

Chaos theory for the final four fights. Elyle Wachin, an all-black suit with the rose on it. Wow. Too good. Teporia finishes Volk. Whitaker finishes... No, no, no. Costa finishes Whitaker.

Jeff Neal, starches Ian Gary. Henry Suhudo wins a dominant decision over Maraub. If those four-out-up... Yeah, Robbie Lawler. Wild. Sam Punk in the house. Pump with the injury, bro. There's Josh Emmett in your eye of favor.

And zombie in the back. Not even getting the lower third. There's photo bombing. Yeah, we're not giving zombie a little love? Come on now. We are about to get this thing started. Fluffy Hernandez, Roman Coppuliffe. Supposed to get Fluffy Hernandez

versus Zikramalaskarov, but it's pretty damn. I'm good substitution. Love this fight. I don't think it's going to the cards. And even if it does, it's going to be absolutely insane. I love this fight a lot. Two guys, four-fight winning streak.

I'm pumped for it. What else do we have tonight? Secret juice, we're going to be drinking it all night. Cards? We got some special ones this time. We'll do the optic hobby box. Hopefully pull something crazy out of that. And then this might be our last Panini box we ever open.
